- 0:00Speaker 1: Even the New Comedys mayor of New York City. I
- 0:02Speaker 1: think he's a nice guy. Actually speak to him. Alta
- 0:06Speaker 1: policy but nice guy, bad policy, but nice guy. And
- 0:10Speaker 1: that is from this Tuesday's State of the Union with
- 0:13Speaker 1: President Trump. And I want to know what his play
- 0:19Speaker 1: here is on the one like up alex Media channel
- 0:24Speaker 1: one like up alex Media is who you're listening to.
- 0:28Speaker 1: I want to know what his play is for constantly
- 0:32Speaker 1: complimenting the mayor of New York Zora, Mom Donny. Listen
- 0:36Speaker 1: to this again, the New Comedias mayor of New York City.
- 0:39Speaker 1: I think he's a nice guy. Actually speak to him
- 0:42Speaker 1: Alt he says, he's a nice guy. He's a communist,
- 0:45Speaker 1: but he's a nice guy. What is Trump's play here?
- 0:49Speaker 1: Remember in that Oval Office meeting, it was pretty historic.
- 0:53Speaker 1: They both seem to be very cordial with each other.
- 0:57Speaker 1: And that's the cut of the State of the Union
- 0:59Speaker 1: that stood out most because as a New Yorker under
- 1:03Speaker 1: Mom Donnie, which is now we're collecting snow piles and garbage.
- 1:10Speaker 1: His first couple of months not collecting you know, better
- 1:17Speaker 1: quality life. No, In fact, you might get attacked with
- 1:20Speaker 1: a snowball if you're an NYPD cop and mom Donnie
- 1:24Speaker 1: only says their kids respect them, but their kids respect
- 1:29Speaker 1: the NYPD. But these are kids. No, they're not. No,
- 1:32Speaker 1: they're not Mayor Mum Donnie. And at first I didn't
- 1:35Speaker 1: want to blame you for what happened at Washington Square
- 1:37Speaker 1: Park earlier this week, but your reaction to it is terrible,
- 1:44Speaker 1: which is why I still want to know why Trump
- 1:48Speaker 1: said this. I'll play it another time for you. Even
- 1:51Speaker 1: the new comptent is mare of New York City. I
- 1:53Speaker 1: think he's a nice guy and actually speak to him
- 1:56Speaker 1: a lot. Well, I hope when you speak to him
- 1:58Speaker 1: next you say, hey, Mayor Mum Donnie, those are not kids.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Those are grown ass adults pelting our NYPD with ice
- 2:08Speaker 1: and snow and causing cuts to their faces. It was
- 2:13Speaker 1: an onslought. It was a snow attack, not a snowball fight.
- 2:16Speaker 1: A snowball attack on the NYPD this week. But why
- 2:20Speaker 1: I'm even more curious about Trump's complimenting is have you
- 2:24Speaker 1: heard the way he talks about Mayor do Vlazio. This
- 2:28Speaker 1: was not a re Announcemith dinner a couple of years
- 2:33Speaker 1: ago when both of them were actually out of office.
- 2:37Speaker 1: But Trump's still poured it on against the former mayor.
- 2:43Speaker 1: We have another former New York City mayor with us,
- 2:45Speaker 1: frankly easily the worst in our history. And it's not
- 2:52Speaker 1: Michael that I can tell you. I'm surprised that Bill
- 2:58Speaker 1: de Vlazier was actually able to make it tonight. To
- 3:00Speaker 1: be honest, he was a terrible man. I don't give
- 3:03Speaker 1: a shit if this is comedy, and he was that
- 3:06Speaker 1: terrible man. He did a horrible He did a horrible job.
- 3:12Speaker 1: That's not comedy, by the way, that's fact. Throughout the tenure,
- 3:16Speaker 1: they both were not liking each other, him and Deblasio.
- 3:19Speaker 1: I saw it, and I remember a year before the pandemic,
- 3:23Speaker 1: it was one hundredth anniversary of Veterans Day and Trump,
- 3:26Speaker 1: you know, honoring the troops and making a speech with
- 3:30Speaker 1: the Presidential seal and all that. I remember going up
- 3:32Speaker 1: to Deblasio and asking him, you know, hey, wasn't it
- 3:36Speaker 1: great that Trump came in to be Barbers, Like, yeah,
- 3:39Speaker 1: it was nice to see him. I'm and nice that
- 3:40Speaker 1: he came in, But you know, he never was a
- 3:43Speaker 1: fan of Trump, and Trump was never a fan of him.
- 3:46Speaker 1: But this feels like mom, Donnie is Deblasio two point zero.
- 3:51Speaker 1: So is Trump's play here to call the mayor of
- 3:54Speaker 1: New York, mayor mum Donnie a nice guy, a nice guy?
- 3:59Speaker 1: Is that that play to make sure he has an
- 4:03Speaker 1: eye on New York, to like keep your enemies closer
- 4:07Speaker 1: type of thing. I believe he's a genuinely think he's
- 4:10Speaker 1: a nice guy. But why is he hyping him up
- 4:12Speaker 1: so much? Even at the State of the Union. Why
- 4:15Speaker 1: is he complenting him at the State of the Union,
- 4:17Speaker 1: the highest speech for a president to make, I believe
- 4:20Speaker 1: in America's at the State of the Union. So he
- 4:22Speaker 1: took time to acknowledge him in that way. Now, I
- 4:26Speaker 1: mentioned the voter IDs for snowshovels for shovelers, blah blah,
- 4:30Speaker 1: blah blah. But he complimented him. And is that complimenting
- 4:34Speaker 1: a strategy to keep an eye on New York to
- 4:39Speaker 1: make sure that Mamdanie's doing right by Trump's home city
- 4:43Speaker 1: so we don't lose New York City entirely? Is that
- 4:47Speaker 1: what his play here is Instead of outright sending federal
- 4:51Speaker 1: troops in and all that, He's just literally going to
- 4:54Speaker 1: keep an eye on the mayor. I think that's what
- 4:55Speaker 1: it is. But to hear him compliment them over and
- 4:58Speaker 1: over is very fascinating. It is one of the more
- 5:01Speaker 1: fascinating parts of his presidency. Actually, that for a guy
- 5:06Speaker 1: that trashed Bill de Blasio is now complementing the Blasio
- 5:12Speaker 1: two point zero as Mumdanni's being called. Though Deblasio wasn't
- 5:16Speaker 1: anti Semitic that I could tell, even though he broke
- 5:19Speaker 1: up a major funeral during the pandemic in the guise
- 5:24Speaker 1: of well, this is violating the the six feet apart
- 5:31Speaker 1: rules and all that, but he was more anti cop
- 5:35Speaker 1: than anti semitic. This guy, this guy is both anti
- 5:39Speaker 1: Semitic and anti cop, and he's trying to smile away
- 5:43Speaker 1: everything and make the jokes and all that fun stuff.
- 5:46Speaker 1: And you could throw a snowball at me. Blah blah
- 5:49Speaker 1: blah blah. I did not want to blame mum Donnie
- 5:52Speaker 1: for the snowball attacks originally because he wasn't there. He
- 5:58Speaker 1: has actually dialed down his rhetoric on cops since becoming
- 6:02Speaker 1: in office. But after the reaction, he's not really condemning.
- 6:09Speaker 1: He's calling it a snowball fight. He's saying, oh, respect
- 6:12Speaker 1: the NYPD, No, you tell them to stop freaking throwing
- 6:15Speaker 1: snowballs at our cops. You don't just say respect you
- 6:19Speaker 1: you are forceful with it. You are not just saying, oh,
- 6:23Speaker 1: respect the NYPD, respect law enforcement. No, you get in
- 6:27Speaker 1: the face of these thugs who threw the snowballs at
- 6:31Speaker 1: these freak at the cops, and you tell them, hey, knocket,
- 6:36Speaker 1: the f off, Knocket, the flip off, because they are
- 6:45Speaker 1: law enforcement. They're trying to protect you, so knock it off.
- 6:53Speaker 1: I gave him leeway. I didn't even blame him for
- 6:58Speaker 1: the freezing deaths because as homeless people do what they
- 7:01Speaker 1: want to do. But right now, this reaction and then
- 7:09Speaker 1: Trump praising him, saying he's a nice guy. I like
- 7:13Speaker 1: him a lot. Then mum Donnie goes and basically craps
- 7:20Speaker 1: on the NYPD. Not good President Trump calling mayor mum
- 7:24Speaker 1: Donnie a nice guy. Let me play for you one
- 7:28Speaker 1: more time. Even the new communist mayor of New York City.
- 7:31Speaker 1: I think he's a nice guy and actually speak to
- 7:33Speaker 1: him a lot. I don't think he's being sarcastic. I
- 7:37Speaker 1: think he genuinely thinks the guy is nice because when
- 7:39Speaker 1: he talks to him, mum Donnie puts on the charm.
- 7:43Speaker 1: But to not defend then NYPD. I guess the second
- 7:47Speaker 1: or third instance, because remember there was a couple times
- 7:49Speaker 1: where he didn't race to the scene of an NYPD
- 7:51Speaker 1: shooting where the cops were hurt. It's gonna fade quick,
- 7:57Speaker 1: and I hope the media jumps on him if he
- 8:00Speaker 1: continues in these situations to not condemn the anti cop violence,
- 8:09Speaker 1: because if he's stopped, if he doesn't condemn it fully
- 8:12Speaker 1: and really lukewarmly, then we're in trouble. Then it's not
- 8:19Speaker 1: even a few months. I mean the assassinations of Ramos
- 8:24Speaker 1: and lou in twenty fourteen, that was about nine ten,
- 8:28Speaker 1: twelve months, eleven months in to Deblasio's first term, and
- 8:34Speaker 1: the cops turned their back on him in that funeral,
- 8:37Speaker 1: Remember it was a historic scene. Well, they're going to
- 8:41Speaker 1: turn their back on this guy too. This mayor will
- 8:44Speaker 1: have his back turned too, a back turned against him. So,
- 8:49Speaker 1: mister president, what is your play here? At one look
- 8:52Speaker 1: of alex media? That's my question? What is your play?
- 8:56Speaker 1: When you call mom Donnie a nice guy? Is it
- 9:01Speaker 1: sarcasm or is there truth to it? Because you want
- 9:03Speaker 1: to be in as good graces, you want to actually
- 9:07Speaker 1: collaborate with him, to make the city safer. Well, I
- 9:10Speaker 1: hope they're just savment for President Trump about this attack
- 9:15Speaker 1: on NYPD if there isn't already, And then he does
- 9:19Speaker 1: call out Merrimum Donnie for saying, oh, these are just kids,
- 9:25Speaker 1: it's just a snowball fight. Throw the snowball at me instead.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Humor will not win over the NYPD, Marrimum Donnie. It
- 9:32Speaker 1: will not, you know what will condemning forcefully attacks on cops.
- 9:43Speaker 1: And I just haven't seen you do it yet. I
- 9:45Speaker 1: just have not seen you do that yet. So my book,
- 9:51Speaker 1: you might try and smile your way through everything, but
- 9:55Speaker 1: the nice guy thing it's wearing out fast in just
- 9:59Speaker 1: your second month in office, By the way, it's wearing
- 10:02Speaker 1: out fast. Take action, condemn when needed, and just run
- 10:08Speaker 1: the city the way New Yorkers want you to. I'm
- 10:13Speaker 1: always pissed off when these people feel like they have
- 10:15Speaker 1: to be a certain way. Do they lose a far
- 10:18Speaker 1: left base or a far right base. Just roll for
- 10:21Speaker 1: what normal average New Yorkers want. Just go for what
- 10:25Speaker 1: averaged Americans want on both sides of the aisle. Not
- 10:33Speaker 1: because you're trying to appease one base or the other.
- 10:39Speaker 1: I'm a'm Donnie. By not forcefully calling out these criminals
- 10:46Speaker 1: for throwing snowballs at these cops, he's appeasing and we
- 10:54Speaker 1: want to have one like Ove of New York where
- 10:56Speaker 1: you keep appeasing the wrong guys, the bad guys here.
- 11:01Speaker 1: So please do what New Yorkers want you to do
- 11:06Speaker 1: well is condemn attacks on cops. Condemn attacks on cops.
- 11:12Speaker 1: That's my message from one leg up alex Media
