- 0:02Speaker 1: Today's arriety big ninety eight point seven, mostly cloudy, a
- 0:05Speaker 1: high of fifty today. I'm kind of curious. Have you
- 0:09Speaker 1: ever heard of main character syndrome? Mandy?
- 0:14Speaker 2: Uh? Yes, I have heard of it, but I'm not
- 0:18Speaker 2: entirely privy to what it is.
- 0:21Speaker 3: Do you have main character syndrome? I have some bad news.
- 0:24Speaker 3: You have main character syndrome? Oh damn, I'm looking good.
- 0:29Speaker 3: Are you even listening to me?
- 0:30Speaker 2: No?
- 0:31Speaker 3: So what's the problem. You're self centered and heard everybody
- 0:33Speaker 3: around you? So what's the problem. My god, it's worse
- 0:36Speaker 3: than I thought. You've lost all self awareness.
- 0:39Speaker 1: All right, I would like to hope generally speaking, this
- 0:42Speaker 1: isn't something I suffer from. But there is one instance
- 0:47Speaker 1: where main character syndrome it strikes me down, and it
- 0:50Speaker 1: strikes me down hard.
- 0:51Speaker 2: When when you walk around these halls at work egomaniac.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Wow, that's being at work. You know, that's entertainment.
- 1:01Speaker 1: But there is something when I am all by myself
- 1:03Speaker 1: alone where I am the main character in this scenario.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Okay, but wouldn't that makes sense as you're by yourself?
- 1:11Speaker 3: Yeah, but I really think there's people watching. Okay, what
- 1:15Speaker 3: do you mean? Explain this to.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Me when I do you ever get in the shower
- 1:20Speaker 1: and then generally yes, when I'm in the shower and
- 1:22Speaker 1: you got the water pouring down everywhere, you got the
- 1:25Speaker 1: water like going down your face. I swear I think
- 1:27Speaker 1: I'm in a music video. I'm like practicing how I
- 1:31Speaker 1: would look into the camera and like the sultry rain
- 1:34Speaker 1: coming down.
- 1:35Speaker 3: Okay, this is very embarrassing for you to admit. I
- 1:39Speaker 3: love it. I'm in there going if I was in
- 1:41Speaker 3: a music video, I do this look. I okay, Well,
- 1:44Speaker 3: I get it.
- 1:46Speaker 2: When I'm in the shower, though, I take a different route.
- 1:49Speaker 2: I do the Lifetime movie. I just found out the
- 1:52Speaker 2: worst news of my life, and so I'm like crying
- 1:55Speaker 2: and there's rain pouring down and I slide down the
- 2:00Speaker 2: side of the shower, like.
- 2:01Speaker 3: Why let us know.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Is there any moment where you I think you suffer
- 2:07Speaker 1: from main character syndrome? Do you walk into the gas
- 2:10Speaker 1: station and you kind of sort of always find yourself
- 2:13Speaker 1: at the front of the line because you don't notice
- 2:15Speaker 1: other people are waiting. When you're at the grocery store,
- 2:18Speaker 1: do you grab the last can of soup off the shelf,
- 2:21Speaker 1: even though there's someone standing right in front of it
- 2:23Speaker 1: because you don't know what's going on around you. Main
- 2:25Speaker 1: character syndrome is a real thing, Angie.
- 2:27Speaker 3: It's only okay when we do it.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Today's variety big ninety eight point seven, cloudy and fifty today,
- 2:35Speaker 1: maybe even a chance of rain at some point in
- 2:37Speaker 1: the afternoon.
- 2:38Speaker 3: Here. Have you ever gotten out of a ticket? Oh? Yeah,
- 2:46Speaker 3: you really? Yeah? Twice.
- 2:48Speaker 2: The first time I cried that classic you know you
- 2:51Speaker 2: crying you get.
- 2:52Speaker 3: Ith Yeah the age old teared up here. Yeah.
- 2:54Speaker 2: But the second time, I was working retail and it
- 2:58Speaker 2: was inventory night, so I had d late and it
- 3:01Speaker 2: was like one in the morning, and the streets were
- 3:03Speaker 2: pretty empty. So I made a left turn on the
- 3:07Speaker 2: light that wasn't even a little bit yellow anymore, like
- 3:09Speaker 2: it was red.
- 3:10Speaker 3: And I turned and then boo whoop, and.
- 3:12Speaker 2: I got pulled over and the cop comes up to
- 3:15Speaker 2: the window and he goes, oh, where are you? Where
- 3:18Speaker 2: are you headed there? Are you going to the club?
- 3:20Speaker 2: Are you leaving the club?
- 3:21Speaker 3: Did you tell me robbed a banker?
- 3:23Speaker 2: No? No, I said, I said, you know, I'm wearing flats.
- 3:26Speaker 2: I would never wear that to the club. And he
- 3:28Speaker 2: laughed so hard and then he just was like, Okay,
- 3:32Speaker 2: well that light wasn't even yellow. Please don't run red lights.
- 3:36Speaker 2: And I was like, okay, Honny, let me go.
- 3:38Speaker 3: That is fantastic. Yeah.
- 3:40Speaker 1: I once I got pulled over for now, I won't
- 3:44Speaker 1: say I blew through it, but I rolled through a
- 3:46Speaker 1: stop sign pretty much the age old like slowed down
- 3:49Speaker 1: kind of and I was like, ah, whatever, I'm just
- 3:50Speaker 1: going and you know, woo, got.
- 3:53Speaker 3: Pulled over to the right area.
- 3:55Speaker 1: I pull over to the right cock gets out and
- 3:57Speaker 1: he walks up to the window and he was like,
- 3:59Speaker 1: do you have any idea why I'm pulling you over?
- 4:01Speaker 1: And I also went with kind of the comedy route
- 4:04Speaker 1: and I was like, oh, well, I just showed you
- 4:05Speaker 1: how to complete a rolling stop back and he laughed
- 4:10Speaker 1: and you know, basically let me off with a warning.
- 4:12Speaker 3: So the humor route seemed to work for both. Bah.
- 4:16Speaker 1: I want to know, did you ever get out of
- 4:18Speaker 1: a ticket when you probably should have got one? Seven
- 4:20Speaker 1: oh one two eight zero one eight seven. We do
- 4:25Speaker 1: have a message from Ryan out of Morehead. He said,
- 4:28Speaker 1: I'd just gotten back from the deployment, got in my
- 4:31Speaker 1: car and was headed back home. It was getting dark
- 4:33Speaker 1: in the road was mostly empty, so I was whipping
- 4:35Speaker 1: it the cop. The cop pulls me over, asks a
- 4:39Speaker 1: license and registration, and then asked if I was in
- 4:41Speaker 1: the military, in which he replied yes.
- 4:43Speaker 3: Excuse me.
- 4:45Speaker 1: He told me he was in the Marine, just got
- 4:46Speaker 1: back home, and it turned out that the cop was
- 4:49Speaker 1: a former marine as well.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:51Speaker 1: The cop said, uh, I should make you get out
- 4:55Speaker 1: and do pushups, get out of here, don't be stupid,
- 4:58Speaker 1: slow down, and he basically got out of for being
- 5:01Speaker 1: in the marine.
- 5:01Speaker 2: I like that.
- 5:02Speaker 1: And then we do have another one from Mark here
- 5:05Speaker 1: in Fargo. Mark said I got pulled over for going
- 5:08Speaker 1: almost fifteen miles an hour over the limit. The cop
- 5:11Speaker 1: asked me why I was in a hurry, and I
- 5:13Speaker 1: was brutally honest with him. I told him my playlist
- 5:17Speaker 1: was playing straight bangers and I got carried away. The
- 5:20Speaker 1: cop told me to just chill the bleep out and
- 5:23Speaker 1: he let me off.
- 5:24Speaker 3: With the warnings.
- 5:25Speaker 2: So good.
- 5:26Speaker 1: I think we're starting to learn. Hey, if you can
- 5:28Speaker 1: use some kind of humor, maybe make them laugh.
- 5:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:30Speaker 2: I feel like if the infraction isn't something where you're
- 5:33Speaker 2: hurting other people, just try and make a funny.
- 5:36Speaker 3: It's not good to go.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Get a joke out hopefully they send you on your way.
- 5:42Speaker 3: Now here's what you need to know.
- 5:45Speaker 1: The US Department of Health and Human Services announced plans
- 5:49Speaker 1: yesterday to cut approximately ten thousand full time positions, reducing
- 5:53Speaker 1: its workforce from eighty two thousand to about sixty two
- 5:56Speaker 1: thousand employees. This decision follows earlier reduction is achieved through
- 6:01Speaker 1: buyout offers and early retirements, bringing the total reduction to
- 6:05Speaker 1: around twenty thousand. HHS Secretary Robert F.
- 6:10Speaker 3: Kennedy.
- 6:11Speaker 1: He stated that the measures aim to streamline, streamline operations
- 6:15Speaker 1: and refocus the department's mission towards combating chronic diseases. The
- 6:22Speaker 1: NDSU women won last night the WNIT fifty nine to
- 6:27Speaker 1: fifty one over Washington State. They move on for the
- 6:29Speaker 1: first time in school history to the Great eight of
- 6:34Speaker 1: the WNIT. All right, Ladies, they will play Monday night
- 6:39Speaker 1: at seven pm against Troy and the game will be
- 6:41Speaker 1: a home game at the Shields Center. And then finally here,
- 6:47Speaker 1: there is a free picnic that will be served starting
- 6:50Speaker 1: at noon going on tomorrow at the Fargo VFW Post
- 6:54Speaker 1: seven to six to two to celebrate National Vietnam War
- 6:58Speaker 1: Veterans Day.
- 6:59Speaker 3: The event is open to the public.
- 7:01Speaker 1: And will be held inside the bar, located downtown at
- 7:03Speaker 1: two two Broadway North. Daily drink specials will also be
- 7:07Speaker 1: available for purchase during the event. At least that's what
- 7:11Speaker 1: was according to the bar's Facebook post, So.
- 7:13Speaker 3: Enjoy that once again.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Don't forget tomorrow National Vietnam War Veterans Day.
- 7:18Speaker 3: Way to go Dan, All.
- 7:22Speaker 1: Right, angreew what's going on where It's a Girl Thing?
- 7:24Speaker 1: We got tickets still?
- 7:25Speaker 2: Yes, it's for tonight four thirty to seven thirty at
- 7:29Speaker 2: the Holiday Inn and Essentia Health Skin Renewal Jen and
- 7:33Speaker 2: Sanchia Health Skin Renewal is hooking us up with general
- 7:36Speaker 2: admission tickets at just ten dollars. So head to It's
- 7:39Speaker 2: a Girl Thing Fargo dot com and pick up those
- 7:41Speaker 2: tickets right on.
- 7:42Speaker 1: My wife will be at that tonight, so if you
- 7:44Speaker 1: run into her, make sure you say hi. Your weather
- 7:47Speaker 1: mostly cloudy today a high of fifty, maybe some rain
- 7:49Speaker 1: in the afternoon late in the afternoon.
- 7:51Speaker 3: Tonight, cloudy a low of twenty nine.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Rain tonight probably as well, and then tomorrow my least
- 7:57Speaker 1: favorite four letter s word to use on the rail.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, potential snow between one and four. Otherwise at
- 8:05Speaker 1: cloudy with a high of forty, so hopefully we can
- 8:08Speaker 1: kind of avoid that tomorrow.
- 8:10Speaker 3: But overall, you know, if we can just stay.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Dry, it'll be a nice couple of days. Today's variety
- 8:16Speaker 1: big ninety eight point seven rain likely this afternoon, otherwise
- 8:19Speaker 1: cloudy and fifty.
- 8:24Speaker 3: Angie.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Yesterday, I don't know if you know this, but there
- 8:26Speaker 1: was some really important college hockey being played right here
- 8:29Speaker 1: in Fargo at the Shields Arena yesterday. The Minnesota Golden
- 8:34Speaker 1: Gophers took on you mass, the college play hockey. What
- 8:40Speaker 1: am I trying to say, the college playoffs for hockey?
- 8:43Speaker 3: Excuse me?
- 8:43Speaker 1: There was also a Western Michigan taking on Minnesota State.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Very cool that these games being held right here in Fargo,
- 8:49Speaker 1: playoff hockey games.
- 8:51Speaker 3: And I was just kind of curious.
- 8:54Speaker 1: You were born in Vegas, lived in Boise, lived in Seattle.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Now Vegas has a hockey team, But did you grow
- 9:01Speaker 1: up watching hockey which is so big here in the
- 9:04Speaker 1: Fargo in FM area just in general, I.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Grew up watching the Mighty Ducks with Gordon Bombay at
- 9:10Speaker 2: the helm of the child's hockey team.
- 9:13Speaker 3: You know what, That's good enough. I think that's good.
- 9:15Speaker 3: That is all you need here.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Okay, So what I wanted to do was just quiz
- 9:20Speaker 1: you a little bit here on just some hockey terms.
- 9:23Speaker 1: I want you to describe these hockey terms, whether you
- 9:26Speaker 1: know them or not. Okay, so the best of your
- 9:28Speaker 1: ability just by what they sound like.
- 9:30Speaker 3: All right, okay, all right. But hey, as they say
- 9:33Speaker 3: in hockey, let's do that hockey. Let's do that hockey,
- 9:35Speaker 3: all right, Angie? Yes? What is off sides in hockey? Oh?
- 9:41Speaker 3: Isn't that the same in all sports?
- 9:42Speaker 2: Where they're on the wrong side, they're off of the
- 9:46Speaker 2: side they're supposed to be.
- 9:47Speaker 1: You know what, Yes, I think that's pretty close. Yeah,
- 9:50Speaker 1: all right, angie. What is icing in hockey when.
- 9:56Speaker 2: You are shutting out the other players because you don't
- 9:59Speaker 2: want want to talk to them, so you're like icing
- 10:01Speaker 2: them out.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Yes, that's exactly right, it is, Yes, Yes, that's exactly right,
- 10:07Speaker 1: all right, Angie.
- 10:08Speaker 3: What is a face off in hockey.
- 10:11Speaker 2: When you stare deep in each other's eyes broodingly?
- 10:16Speaker 3: Yes, that is one thousand percent.
- 10:19Speaker 1: I'm crushing doing this. You're three of three, I'm the best,
- 10:23Speaker 1: all right, Angie. In hockey, what is a goon.
- 10:27Speaker 3: The team that you don't want to win? Like the
- 10:31Speaker 3: team that is the bad guys.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Yeah, sure, yeah, okay, okay, I got two more for you, Angie.
- 10:39Speaker 1: What is a bender in hockey?
- 10:43Speaker 2: Oh, when you drink a lot before the game, you
- 10:48Speaker 2: get hammered and then you go.
- 10:49Speaker 3: On the ice.
- 10:51Speaker 1: That's not That would be the first one you kind
- 10:53Speaker 1: of got incorrect, Oh, man, In hockey, bender is really
- 10:57Speaker 1: just someone who can't skate very well.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Okay, hey, if you are drunk, you can't skate very well.
- 11:02Speaker 3: That's right, all right, sand By my answer? My last
- 11:05Speaker 3: one for you? What is a power play in hockey?
- 11:10Speaker 2: When you hit the fuck really hard with a lot
- 11:13Speaker 2: of power.
- 11:15Speaker 3: That's exactly right. How did you know all these? Gosh,
- 11:18Speaker 3: I'm a guru.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Today's arriety big ninety eight point seven, mostly cloudy today,
- 11:25Speaker 1: high of about fifty.
- 11:26Speaker 3: There is a slight chance for rain in the afternoon. Ready,
- 11:31Speaker 3: that's he is piping hot today.
- 11:34Speaker 2: And now Amanda stills the tea.
- 11:36Speaker 3: Whoop see, I swear god.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Megan Fox has given birth to her fourth child, a
- 11:45Speaker 2: baby girl, and that's her first kid with her ex
- 11:48Speaker 2: machine gun Kelly. She already has three other kids. That
- 11:53Speaker 2: makes it sound like three other kids, but she has
- 11:56Speaker 2: three other kids with her ex husband Brian Austin Green,
- 12:00Speaker 2: Body and Journey, and so now she's got this baby
- 12:02Speaker 2: girl with MGK, and he shared on social media that
- 12:06Speaker 2: the baby was born yesterday, So like immediate announcement, we
- 12:11Speaker 2: had the baby.
- 12:11Speaker 3: Here's the baby. I hope that.
- 12:13Speaker 2: Now they can just like focus on just spending time
- 12:17Speaker 2: with the baby and you know, keeping the baby alive
- 12:21Speaker 2: and going the three am feedings and everything. Because Brian
- 12:25Speaker 2: Austin Green and Machine and Kelly have been beefing over
- 12:27Speaker 2: social media for a while now because he doesn't like
- 12:31Speaker 2: that Brian Austin Green has been messaging Megan. He's like,
- 12:37Speaker 2: stop messaging my wife about I mean, stop messaging Megan
- 12:40Speaker 2: about when she's gonna have the baby like he's been
- 12:43Speaker 2: mad at Brian Austin Green. Okay, and so now like
- 12:46Speaker 2: just put the beef aside, MGK, the baby's here.
- 12:49Speaker 3: Focus on the baby. Let your beef slide. Yeah.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Did it say do you know? Did it say anything
- 12:54Speaker 1: about like the name. Have they come out with that yet?
- 12:56Speaker 2: No, not yet, but based on Body and Journey, noah,
- 13:00Speaker 2: I'm sure. So who Machine Gun Kelly is as a person,
- 13:02Speaker 2: I'm sure the name is.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Gonna be an interesting one then be named Carrot or something.
- 13:09Speaker 2: Yolanda Saldivar, who infamously murdered crossover pop superstar Selena. It'll
- 13:16Speaker 2: be thirty years ago on Monday. Since wow, she was murdered.
- 13:20Speaker 2: I mean for me as a little girl growing up,
- 13:22Speaker 2: that was like the biggest scandal in history. I wanted
- 13:25Speaker 2: to be Selena when I grew up. She was actually
- 13:28Speaker 2: denied parole, okay, which I don't know. Man, I feel
- 13:33Speaker 2: like the parole board did her a favor. There are
- 13:35Speaker 2: enough Selena stands in this world that I think maybe, Yolanda,
- 13:40Speaker 2: you should feel.
- 13:41Speaker 3: Lucky and stay in, stay inside.
- 13:43Speaker 1: I remember my intro to Selena was in my sixth
- 13:47Speaker 1: grade Spanish class.
- 13:49Speaker 3: We watched the j Lo movie.
- 13:51Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I think that was my first ever exposure
- 13:54Speaker 1: to who that was.
- 13:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:55Speaker 1: Yeah, well you're probably right, probably a lot safer behind.
- 14:00Speaker 3: Behind bars is one of them. Yeah.
- 14:05Speaker 2: Gail King and Katie Perry's space date has been revealed.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Why April fourteenth, Blue Origins first all female space flight
- 14:18Speaker 2: will launch, and the crew will also consist of Lauren Sanchez,
- 14:25Speaker 2: who's Jeff bezos fiance, Ayisha Boa, a civil rights activist,
- 14:29Speaker 2: and Amanda Win a film producer.
- 14:31Speaker 3: So, I mean this is kind of major.
- 14:33Speaker 2: This is the first all female flight since.
- 14:36Speaker 3: Nineteen sixty three. Oh wow, into space. I don't.
- 14:40Speaker 2: I mean, I think they just touched space and come back.
- 14:43Speaker 1: It's like a quick hot air balloon up and down type, Yeah,
- 14:46Speaker 1: just like way up.
- 14:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:48Speaker 1: No, I mean, obviously they're not in a hot air balloon,
- 14:50Speaker 1: but right right, they're not. They're not just jumping in
- 14:55Speaker 1: a basket and hitting the for the flames to raise
- 14:58Speaker 1: a balloon.
- 14:59Speaker 3: But yeah, still very cool. I think I would never
- 15:01Speaker 3: do it, but oh.
- 15:02Speaker 2: Notugh for them, you're so anti space. And I thought
- 15:05Speaker 2: about this, like Gabe would never jump on Blue Origin.
- 15:08Speaker 2: But I think that the other women might feel a
- 15:11Speaker 2: little bit safer about it, because if Jeff Bezos is
- 15:14Speaker 2: gonna put his fiance on the flight, I think they're like, well,
- 15:18Speaker 2: he's not gonna put her on something that's not safe.
- 15:21Speaker 3: He's trying to marry her.
- 15:23Speaker 1: That is true. And I guess, like, here's what I'll say.
- 15:25Speaker 1: I'm not anti space. What I am anti is the
- 15:28Speaker 1: risk does not seem yeah, the reward to me, right,
- 15:31Speaker 1: you know, Hey, anybody should go to space if that's
- 15:33Speaker 1: what they want.
- 15:34Speaker 3: To do. I am perfectly fine being on the ground here.
- 15:38Speaker 2: The good thing, Gab is that you ain't got the
- 15:40Speaker 2: money to.
- 15:40Speaker 3: Get to space. That is so true. Today's variety Big
- 15:46Speaker 3: ninety eight point seven.
- 15:47Speaker 2: Right.
- 15:47Speaker 4: Finally Friday, and it is gonna be kind of cloudy,
- 15:50Speaker 4: hive about fifty. There's a chance of some evening showers
- 15:53Speaker 4: and then all I'm seeing kind of a rain snow
- 15:55Speaker 4: mix on and off throughout the weekend. Attempts are still
- 15:57Speaker 4: gonna be high enough. I don't think it's going to
- 15:59Speaker 4: be anything that accumulates, but.
- 16:00Speaker 3: After yesterday, it's tough because yesterday was just.
- 16:03Speaker 1: Beautiful and I saw that on Saturday.
- 16:07Speaker 3: Now, I don't think.
- 16:08Speaker 1: This could happen really because we should have temperatures on
- 16:11Speaker 1: as in like forty tomorrow, right, Yeah, yeah, I saw
- 16:14Speaker 1: that maybe snow at some point, which is that's disgusting.
- 16:17Speaker 4: That's what I meant by like I just said, fluryes
- 16:20Speaker 4: just sounds like better than gentler.
- 16:23Speaker 3: It does. It's like, oh, that's not really gonna stick around.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Right.
- 16:26Speaker 4: Oh.
- 16:26Speaker 3: I have a question for you.
- 16:27Speaker 1: Is there a restaurant that when you, as a kid
- 16:30Speaker 1: realized you were going to You're like, oh, we're going
- 16:34Speaker 1: to that fancy place and maybe you just ended up,
- 16:37Speaker 1: you know, at like a pizza hut or something.
- 16:38Speaker 3: Oh gosh.
- 16:39Speaker 4: So my mom when I was growing up, there were
- 16:42Speaker 4: a few years that she was a single parent, and
- 16:45Speaker 4: every time I would get my report card and I
- 16:48Speaker 4: did good, we would go to this Chinese restaurant and
- 16:52Speaker 4: get a poo poo platter for two okay, And I
- 16:56Speaker 4: thought it was the coolest, sure, because you had the
- 17:00Speaker 4: open flame and it was just it was one of
- 17:03Speaker 4: those moments like I still just get getty thinking about it. Yeah,
- 17:06Speaker 4: it takes me back.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I know when I was a kid, whenever we
- 17:10Speaker 1: would and this was like once a year. I swear
- 17:12Speaker 1: it was like a combination of all our birthdays or something.
- 17:15Speaker 1: I don't know why we did this, but once a
- 17:17Speaker 1: year we'd go to Olive Garden and I remember walking
- 17:21Speaker 1: into Olive Garden thinking like, Wow, we're rich. This is amazing,
- 17:25Speaker 1: like we are about to spend eighty bucks.
- 17:29Speaker 3: You know, and truly at the.
- 17:30Speaker 4: Time with many kids to you having your family.
- 17:33Speaker 3: I have an older brother and a younger sister.
- 17:35Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I remember my mom and I if we
- 17:37Speaker 4: ever did a shopping date to either Saint Cloud or
- 17:40Speaker 4: to Fargo. Every once in a while we would get
- 17:44Speaker 4: to go to Red Lobster, Yeah, and we would get
- 17:47Speaker 4: the ultimate feast and it was I mean I remember it,
- 17:51Speaker 4: playing with like the lobster tail, taking pictures like this
- 17:54Speaker 4: is the coolest thing ever.
- 17:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:56Speaker 1: That was when we'd be at Olive Garden and they
- 17:59Speaker 1: just brought more breadsticks or brought more salad. I just
- 18:03Speaker 1: I thought we'd won the lottery. Now you don't need
- 18:06Speaker 1: to win the lottery to go to Olive Garden, of course,
- 18:08Speaker 1: but I still love going to the good old Olive.
- 18:10Speaker 2: It is.
- 18:10Speaker 4: There is something about those restaurants in your life that
- 18:14Speaker 4: just kind of they take you back.
- 18:16Speaker 3: Yeah, they give you that like, oh gosh, remember when.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Yeah, is there a restaurant that when you were younger
- 18:22Speaker 1: and you went to you were like, oh my gosh,
- 18:23Speaker 1: we rich, We're really spending some money. And maybe it
- 18:26Speaker 1: was more just kind of a normal regular restaurant. Do
- 18:30Speaker 1: you remember when Burger King used to give you the crown?
- 18:32Speaker 3: Yes? I do.
- 18:34Speaker 4: I remember that also being like the coolest ever ad.
- 18:38Speaker 3: We rocking that thing, like can you not?
- 18:41Speaker 1: Yeah, when we got to go to the McDonald's with
- 18:43Speaker 1: the big play place, I was sitting here going, all right,
- 18:47Speaker 1: mom's got moms in a good mood today.
- 18:49Speaker 3: I like that Today's arriety big ninety eight point seven.
- 18:54Speaker 4: Finally Friday, whether today is gonna be pretty cloudy and there
- 18:57Speaker 4: is a chance of some evening showers rolling through tomorrow.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Amanda, your family has a dog named Lula, right, we
- 19:03Speaker 1: sure do. Now when you are just hanging out with
- 19:06Speaker 1: Lula on the couch or Lula's with the kiddos in
- 19:09Speaker 1: the room or whatever, what do you actually call Lula?
- 19:12Speaker 3: Oh? Gosh, like, what's your pet's pet name? Is what
- 19:15Speaker 3: I'm asking?
- 19:16Speaker 4: So very odd she doesn't really have one, really, she
- 19:20Speaker 4: really does not have one, oddly enough, and this is
- 19:23Speaker 4: kind of sad. So before Lula I had a golden
- 19:26Speaker 4: dudo that looks very similar to her name.
- 19:28Speaker 3: Veno. Okay, so is our wine joke coming?
- 19:33Speaker 2: No?
- 19:33Speaker 4: Our family still kind of accidentally calls Lula vino. Oh sure, yeah,
- 19:38Speaker 4: like the I'm a stepchild over here, we'll be like
- 19:42Speaker 4: luh right or Lulu on accident because we're we can't
- 19:47Speaker 4: say Lula.
- 19:48Speaker 3: I mean, it's wild, this poor dog that's like six names.
- 19:52Speaker 3: Otherwise it's really there's no nickname.
- 19:55Speaker 4: Sometimes after the groomer, but like, oh fluffers cute like
- 19:58Speaker 4: that kind of thing. But otherwise you don't had her
- 20:00Speaker 4: like a boo boo Lulu or something. No, but I
- 20:03Speaker 4: used to have tons like Veno. It was like vino girl,
- 20:05Speaker 4: my girl. I mean, she was like my child before
- 20:08Speaker 4: I had children. Sure, yeah we are. We had a
- 20:11Speaker 4: family dog named Lola. And now we have a Nonah
- 20:15Speaker 4: and so Papa Dad Greg Glitton, Papa Greg here he
- 20:19Speaker 4: he struggles with those a lot. Yeah, Nonah Lola all
- 20:23Speaker 4: the time.
- 20:24Speaker 2: Now.
- 20:24Speaker 1: Granted, my dad has called my sister Lola before, so
- 20:28Speaker 1: I've hit.
- 20:28Speaker 3: That stage also in life where I'm like nick da
- 20:31Speaker 3: who Lula? Right, everybody just listened to me. It happens,
- 20:38Speaker 3: It really does.
- 20:39Speaker 2: Ye.
- 20:39Speaker 1: So we have a Wanona and we call Wanona Nony
- 20:43Speaker 1: nony pants all the time. Oh that's cute, Yeah, Nony
- 20:46Speaker 1: Bony just just goofy stuff.
- 20:50Speaker 2: Bony.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Well, we call her non every once in a while,
- 20:53Speaker 1: and she for the most part, for the most part,
- 20:59Speaker 1: she gets just an a lot, so it almost sounds
- 21:02Speaker 1: like we're yelling no at her, but she gets known
- 21:05Speaker 1: a lot, and then once in a blue moon she
- 21:07Speaker 1: gets hey, I'm trying to get her attention.
- 21:11Speaker 4: So when I had Veno, when I would be yelling
- 21:15Speaker 4: for her, or we'd be around people, and little kids
- 21:18Speaker 4: have a hard time with v So everybody thought Vino's
- 21:21Speaker 4: name was Beno. Okay, they say Bino and I always
- 21:24Speaker 4: thought that was that is cute.
- 21:26Speaker 3: Let us know.
- 21:27Speaker 1: There are a lot of these on Facebook. No chance
- 21:29Speaker 1: we can get through all of them, but there are
- 21:31Speaker 1: a lot of really good ones on there. Text us
- 21:33Speaker 1: or message us whatever. What is your pet's pet name?
- 21:36Speaker 1: Seven oh one two eight zero one to nine eight seven, Kendra.
- 21:40Speaker 1: They have an Ellie and they call her Ellie belly
- 21:43Speaker 1: full of jelly, which is just great. That's a full
- 21:46Speaker 1: on nickname. I love that, Gianna. They have a Letty
- 21:49Speaker 1: who they call Letty Spaghetti and oh that's cute.
- 21:52Speaker 3: Brandy.
- 21:53Speaker 1: They have a Ruger and she would call him Psycho
- 21:56Speaker 1: Kangaruger for how he would jump on her when she
- 21:59Speaker 1: would get I don't.
- 22:00Speaker 4: Think I've ever heard the name Ruger. I don't know
- 22:03Speaker 4: if that is a great dog name, great dog name.
- 22:05Speaker 4: I've always ended up with girl dogs. My husband doesn't
- 22:08Speaker 4: want a male dog for some reason. Sure, and I've
- 22:11Speaker 4: always wanted a male dog named Rufus. Great name, but
- 22:15Speaker 4: then I would end up calling it like come here,
- 22:17Speaker 4: and nick would be rus like Rufie, and you can't
- 22:20Speaker 4: do that, well.
- 22:21Speaker 3: Sure you can.
- 22:22Speaker 4: You can't nickname somebody or dogruf Why not?
- 22:27Speaker 3: Why not? There'd be nothing.
- 22:28Speaker 1: This is nothing better than at the dog park yelling hey, Rufie,
- 22:32Speaker 1: get over here.
- 22:32Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, and she's totally normal. And then it would
- 22:36Speaker 3: go to doofy Rufie. I mean, you can do a
- 22:38Speaker 3: lot with that name. I would love a rufous. Today's
- 22:44Speaker 3: variety Big ninety eight point seven.
- 22:46Speaker 4: Well it's gonna be Claudia today. Still I have about
- 22:48Speaker 4: fifty and chances some evening showers. All right, we got
- 22:51Speaker 4: a little.
- 22:53Speaker 1: Good news for you here today, Amanda. And this is
- 22:55Speaker 1: about a dog. Of course, these stories tend to get
- 22:59Speaker 1: me a bit. But a fourteen year old yellow lab
- 23:03Speaker 1: received a special farewell thanks to a community's compassion after
- 23:07Speaker 1: her owner, who was a truck driver, passed away. Honey Is,
- 23:11Speaker 1: the name of the dog, was taken to a nonprofit
- 23:14Speaker 1: named soa R which basically just supports people in pets
- 23:18Speaker 1: during big crisis. With her health declining, the group posted
- 23:22Speaker 1: on social media asking if any truckers would volunteer to
- 23:25Speaker 1: give Honey one last ride in honor of her late owner,
- 23:28Speaker 1: and of course how Gabe's Good News of the Day
- 23:31Speaker 1: usually works. Hundreds and hundreds of people volunteered to help
- 23:35Speaker 1: with this. The post was shared widely and over the weekend, Honey,
- 23:39Speaker 1: who got to go on three truck rides sitting shotgun
- 23:43Speaker 1: resting between the seats and enjoying the view, and one
- 23:46Speaker 1: of the drivers says he signed up because he's a
- 23:48Speaker 1: big animal lover and he wanted to bring happiness to
- 23:50Speaker 1: the dog during its final days. Honey also got her
- 23:53Speaker 1: favorite treat, which was of course Wendy's chicken nuggets thanks
- 23:56Speaker 1: to the kindness of those involved, and earlier this week
- 23:59Speaker 1: she went for a final ride. One of her owner's family,
- 24:03Speaker 1: who Soar was able to connect with through social media, said,
- 24:07Speaker 1: I know some people think it's silly to do all
- 24:09Speaker 1: this for a pet before they pass, but it's been
- 24:12Speaker 1: transformative and we can tell Honey's very happy towards the
- 24:16Speaker 1: end of her life.
- 24:17Speaker 3: Here, so very very very very cute.
- 24:19Speaker 1: Obviously sat at the same time, but very cute, And yeah,
- 24:22Speaker 1: I just think it's kind of crazy that hundreds and
- 24:25Speaker 1: hundreds of people kind of jump on board with just
- 24:28Speaker 1: helping the senior dog in the next kind of great
- 24:31Speaker 1: adventure of her life.
- 24:32Speaker 3: So a lot of good people in this world, that's right.
- 24:34Speaker 3: The world's full of nice people. If you can't find one,
- 24:37Speaker 3: you gotta be one.
