- 1:57it depends on the courtroom. Really. That's so it's ever green, though,
- 2:01is what we're saying. These cases are good good, that's exactly right.
- 2:07So we are excited h to relaunch this show for the new generation of
- 2:13gavel heads sweep in the nation. That's exactly so head over to switch generations.
- 2:20Yes, two years and three years ago, I don't think we were
- 2:22ready. I don't think generation the old the old guard. Yes, these
- 2:27are the new this is the new generation of gabbl heads. Yes, we
- 2:30couldn't make that any clear. That's exactly right. We had two cases for
- 2:34you. Tell me I've watched one, Dan's watched one, right to explain
- 2:38them to each other and try to guess the outcome just by hearing. We're
- 2:43gonna put on our our ropes as if you're watching on Filo TV on TV,
- 2:49if you're watching today on Filo TV. Yeah, this is in the
- 2:52deck to homework feed. I forgot. Of course I have judged Jerry,
- 2:58you have, I got judge mathis old stand by. I'll flop. I'll
- 3:01flip the coin. That's you. I'm gonna go first. Yeah, yeah,
- 3:07it was me the whole way. I called it. Randy Davis,
- 3:10Randy Davis, see how I'm not too good for that. I clap along.
- 3:15Randy Davis is suing James Weirda. Weird Weirda. Let's go with Weirda.
- 3:23He's a very old white gentleman in a suit, and that feels as
- 3:27though like he's mad. He has to be there suing him for two thousand
- 3:30and thirty two dollars. James Weirda is countersuing for fifteen hundred dollars in emotional
- 3:36distress. Now and find out later. James only goes by Jim. So
- 3:39if I say Jim later on, that's who James is. H Randy Uh
- 3:45is like, Hey, I've lived in this house, UH, basically my
- 3:49whole life. And it used to be my dad's house, and then my
- 3:52dad got older, and then I got the house in twenty ten, and
- 3:57my dad has since actually moved back in with me because he's and he's moved
- 4:00back in with me. He moved off for a while and he moved back
- 4:03in. Well, we've had the same neighbor, Jim, for as long
- 4:06as other gym lived there. In twenty ten, I got a phone call,
- 4:11separated by a fence that he gives some us stage advice. Right now,
- 4:15I don't know if stage advice is happening. Drunk lawnmowing is probably happening.
- 4:18In twenty ten, I get a call saying that Jim had to run
- 4:21his lawnmower into my fence while intoxicated. I got that phone call and listen,
- 4:27and we have all been there. I came back, I came home,
- 4:30the fence was broken. I had to fix the fence. I didn't
- 4:32charge Jim for it. Well, for the last ten years he's called the
- 4:36police on me for noise complaints and code violations over and over and over again.
- 4:41Code violation is like, what kind of what are you talking about?
- 4:44What's happening? He's like, well, when I repaired the fence that he
- 4:47broke, I didn't get a permit for it, and apparently you're supposed to
- 4:50do that. He called the police. Hold on, So Randy fixes the
- 4:55fence that Jim broke. That's right. Jim claims he doesn't had any break,
- 5:00didn't charge him for it. And then and Jim as the Gulf called
- 5:03the assessor to get a he didn't have a permit. Pull yeah, he
- 5:08coen. If you're repairing a fence you've already had up. It depends on
- 5:12the city in the neighborhood. I don't think that would be the case.
- 5:15Oh actually I think it is true in city of Greenville. City of Greenville
- 5:18was crazy with their permit, their permit crazy. I don't. I don't.
- 5:21I didn't have to get a permanent on my fence. Which fence?
- 5:25Oh you didn't that, I know, I mean the company did. They
- 5:30called someone to come out and spray then, so maybe it wasn't. I
- 5:32don't know. It doesn't matter. Back to it, he said he when
- 5:34I had my driveway resealed, I had to park on the street. Well,
- 5:38he would call whenever I was parking in front of my Uh I've had
- 5:43that neighbor. Yeah, yeah, he always looked at you. Yeah,
- 5:46he always calls me junior because my dad calls me junior. My dad is
- 5:49Randy Davis Senior and uh and and and he would always tell me my car
- 5:55was parked in a place to where if my lawnmower hits it, the damage
- 5:59is actually your or fault because your car's parked in front of my house or
- 6:02or whatever. To be clear, you can't you can't sue someone for calling
- 6:06you junior, right, I can't. But he just was trying to say
- 6:09he's being belittled. He and he's just such a terrible driver a Lawnmore so,
- 6:13how old is Randy. Randy's like probably in between ie ages. He's
- 6:16probably like thirty eight thirty seven, and Jim's probably like double that. Jim
- 6:20is definitely in his seventies. Old dude, he's there and he's like,
- 6:25well, I moved in over a decade ago, and there's just been little
- 6:29disputes. I've never damaged his property at all. That lawnmar accent never happened,
- 6:34didn't It just didn't happen. Didn't happen. Math Is like, rainy
- 6:39got any proof? And Randy's like, I have a statement from my father
- 6:41who says the accident did happen. He in a statement. Jim's like,
- 6:45not true, just didn't happen. And Maths is like, so this guy's
- 6:47dad just made this up in court. And Jim's like, basically, he's
- 6:53mad because he's been driving across my lawn to get to his lawn. That's
- 6:56where this all started. And Randy's like, I don't know what this guy's
- 6:59talking about. He goes, he claims the front of the property is a
- 7:02curb, but it's not. It's my driveway, and he goes over that
- 7:08curb to get into his driveway every time that he goes and parks in his
- 7:13driveway, and Mathis is like what He's like, Yeah, he says it's
- 7:16the curb in between our driveways, but it's my driveway. His dude's very
- 7:20old. Sorry, Randy's driving over a curb every time he pulls into his
- 7:26drive I think in between the two driveways, you know how my driveway is
- 7:29not with you, but the other neighbor. You know, there's that strip
- 7:30of like grass. What if that was just a little bit of a woof?
- 7:33I see, I think that's what he's talking. He's old. He's
- 7:38clearly like upset. He's suit for that. I don't. He's not su
- 7:43Remember, he's suing h But Jim doesn't have a counter seit. Jim is
- 7:46counter seing for emotional distress fifteen. So he makes him sad. When he
- 7:50goes over his curb. Mathis is like, okay, so you've called this.
- 7:55He goes on and off. I've called the city. They've given him
- 7:58citations. He goes, I have citations for him driving on my lawn.
- 8:03He hands in these papers. Mathis reads the papers and he's like, uh,
- 8:07cirta, none of these papers have anything about him driving on your lawn.
- 8:11I need a citation that shows what are those You're a parking violation for
- 8:16parking in front of his house or something. And he's like, let's just
- 8:20move on. Let's just go on. Like he's like, did you damage
- 8:24his fence? He's like, no, I didn't damage his fence. He's
- 8:26like, well, what has he done to you? Like, uh,
- 8:30like, did he damage? Did he damage? And he's well, he
- 8:33damaged my lawn. Randy damaged my lawn. He's like, let me see
- 8:35the pictures. And Matthis is like, well this picture your lawn looks perfect.
- 8:41He's like, oh, I gave you the wrong picture. He hands
- 8:43them a different picture. He goes, sir, your lawn is immaculate.
- 8:46There's nothing, and we see the picture. The lawn is pristine, it's
- 8:50perfect. He's like, what are you talking? Like, what are what
- 8:54is it you're talking about? And he goes, well, it's really hard
- 8:56to see, but if you look closely, you can see tire in my
- 9:00grass. And Mathis is like, no, no, can we justus live?
- 9:03Can we just live? Jim? What if this this old guy's also
- 9:07racist? I'm glad you asked. We go back to Randy and he's like,
- 9:11oh, is Randy a person of color? Uh no, they're both
- 9:13white. Okay, but just wait for it. Okay. He's like,
- 9:16so also not. He goes, so, what are you suing for?
- 9:20He goes, you'resuing for two thousand and three thirty two dollars. It seems
- 9:22like Jim has the problem with you. He goes, well, Jim has
- 9:26his own personal weed killer that he calls Asian Orange instead of Agent Orange.
- 9:33He calls it Asian Orange. But why, I don't know why Agent orange
- 9:39was used in Vietnam. I don't know if Jim served. I don't know
- 9:43what it is. He calls his weed killer Asian Orange, and Randy's like,
- 9:46you're on her. I don't know what in is in this, but
- 9:48it's definitely not legal. And he sprayed it and it literally killed the grass
- 9:54on the other side of my fence. And he brings these pictures and the
- 9:56like foot outside of his his fence is just dirt. He's like, it
- 10:01killed all of this. Now, Jim says, that's his property. But
- 10:05I also went this thirty eight year old goes, I also went to the
- 10:09land surveyor in the town to give the property line. And my property the
- 10:15line runs off two and a half feet past the fence. That is my
- 10:18property. Here's the proof, so mass just like and then on the bottom
- 10:24of the fence line, the fence color is different. He goes, he
- 10:28sprayed all that stuff. It got all over the fence. The stain won't
- 10:31hold. It's retaining water. So now I got a Matt bad fence and
- 10:35I got a messed up yard. Mass Is like, Jim, did you
- 10:39spray? You spray? He goes, just round up. I only spray
- 10:43round up. I don't know what he's talking about. I just spray round
- 10:46up. I don't know. That's a lie. I don't know what he's
- 10:50talking about. Lawnmower, this Asian orange stuff like, I just spray round
- 10:54up. That's it. And his dad used to spray round up, and
- 10:56that's normal. That's a normal thing that we do here. The only thing
- 11:00what ever, spray was round up. And in the nine years I've lived
- 11:01here, his father has routinely been in the backyard spraying round up too.
- 11:05That's not me. I didn't do that. Maths Is like, what about
- 11:09the damage to the lawn. That's always been there. Jim goes, yeah,
- 11:11that's always been there. His loans always looks like dirt around the fence.
- 11:15It's always been there. Oh man. And Mathis goes, sir,
- 11:20why do you think he's here? Why do you think he's gone through all
- 11:22this trouble? And he goes, he's suing me because he's mad that I
- 11:28called and got him tickets for parking in front of my house. It's illegal
- 11:31to park there. He got a violation. He's mad, and so he's
- 11:35made this stuff up to bring me to court to sue me. Pretty good
- 11:39defense. He's mad, Pretty good defense. And Maths is like, okay,
- 11:43what's your counterclaim. He's like, well, I have fifteen hundred dollars
- 11:46emotional distress because he's constantly arguing with me and driving over my lawn and parking
- 11:50in front of my curb. Mathis is like, well, I'm throwing that
- 11:54out immediately. Let's get back to the twenty thirty two. He's like,
- 11:58Raindy, where did you get two reach dollars from? He goes, I
- 12:01have an estimate of what the repairs are gonna cost for the fence in the
- 12:03lawn, hands him the estimate, and Mathis then turns to Jim and goes,
- 12:07I understand you're mad. I understand he You think he's mad, and
- 12:11he clearly is about getting tickets and getting called on for noise ordinances and parking
- 12:16in front of your house. I understand that, But do you mean to
- 12:18tell me this man, because he was mad at you, had estimates written
- 12:20up for his yard, went to land surveyors and got property lines took pictures
- 12:28just to get back at you for two thousand dollars, and Jim says yes,
- 12:33sir, wow, and Mathis is ready to rule. Ah man,
- 12:37that's tough. I'm trying. So the the evidence that Randy has brought is
- 12:46the pictures of his grass getting messed up by this discoloration. Yard is messed
- 12:52up. No grass is growing, and a property a thing that shows that
- 12:56that is his property. Yeah, that's tough. That's tough. I mean
- 13:00the problem is is there's no actual proof of him spraying the agent orange Asian
- 13:07orange as he calls it, on his property. It's part of the court
- 13:11case. You can say Asian orange. Okay, I'm not going to.
- 13:13I'm gonna choose not to because it feels like a trick. So I think
- 13:20it's tough because to make you say asian or yes. I think I don't
- 13:26think anybody is gonna get any money. And I think Mathis might just be
- 13:31like, hey, Jim, just chill, Like, just chill. It
- 13:35does not matter. Doesn't matter if someone parks in front of your house every
- 13:39once in a while, Like it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things.
- 13:43So just like, try to be a good neighbor, Like, let's
- 13:45just try to be good neighbors. We can start the thrush right here and
- 13:48we can go from there. But I'm gonna say, no one's getting any
- 13:50money. You're wrong. I love matthis, He's my favorite for this reason.
- 13:54He just doesn't deal any bs. He just looked at Jim and he
- 13:56goes, I just don't believe you, sir. I think you're lying,
- 13:58and I'm in a judgment. I'm going to judge for in favor of the
- 14:01plane. If two thousand and thirty two dollars you need to pay him his
- 14:03money? Well there you go. Yeah, I mean can you do that
- 14:07though? Can you just think you just think that someone's lying? I mean,
- 14:13one dude went to a land surveyor how long would it take you to
- 14:16find a land? Get him out to your property? Like you put in
- 14:20a lot of legwork to make two thousand dollars. Yeah, I mean,
- 14:24if your time is money, you spent more than two thousand on that.
- 14:26Should we take a break. Let's take a quick break. We'll come back
- 14:30and we'll go to judge Jerry here on Yo, welcome back to a special
- 14:41We're back edition. It's right where I order to judge Jerry rest in peace
- 14:46obviously obviously almost always forget that he's dead. It's just kind of like I
- 14:52forget it and then I remember and I have to warn all over again.
- 14:54That's a weird thing. He was kind of the worst Jerry Springer, I
- 15:00think. Yeah, everyone's in a while. Every once in a while a
- 15:05Jerry Springer show clip shows up on my news feed. It was tough time.
- 15:09It was a tough time, tough time where you just you know,
- 15:11like fat shame people and like people would cheer for it. They loved it.
- 15:15Oh man. Yeah, anyway, he had a court show right here,
- 15:20This is exactly right. Luis Surry is suing Frank scar Furry. I'll
- 15:28have to take your word for it. Here forty big money for gold chain,
- 15:39a lamp, some other random stuff. Gold chain though, yes,
- 15:43gold chain, real deal, real deal. Frank is counter suing for twenty
- 15:48five seventy for a cushion, a tackle box, a cushion singular. A
- 15:56cushion, Okay, I'm Arthur Stewart cushion okay, well yeah, a tackle
- 16:00box and engagement ring. Okay, there it is, That's what I was
- 16:03looking Forty seven hundred twenty four hundred, twenty five hundred forty seven hundred,
- 16:07twenty five seventy twenty five seventy got. Louise swaks in with the Martha Stewart
- 16:14cushion and tackle box and she lays it in the middle of the courtroom.
- 16:18Louise, Okay, and I guess that's just you know what she's decided to
- 16:25do here. Man, How cool would court cases be if the thing you're
- 16:27arguing over had to be president? It's pretty good. That's pretty good.
- 16:30That's a idea. So Louise explains that Louise and Frank were engaged for seventeen
- 16:37years. Wow, they were engaged, Not that is they know each other
- 16:44for seventeen years. They have been engaged for seventeen years. And isn't that
- 16:48just common uh common law marriage? COmON law marriage. Yes, she explains
- 16:52it. Over the past seventeen years, she's done everything for Frank. She
- 16:57has spent so much money on Frank over the years, as you do when
- 17:02you love somebody, Sometimes you spend money on each other. Sometimes you spend
- 17:06money to get your loved one's car out of the impound lot. Sometimes you
- 17:11go to the hospital when he's had surgery and you feed them ice chips.
- 17:15Sometimes you're there for your loved one after their mom dies. Why did they
- 17:18never get married? Do we get to that? We do get to it,
- 17:22and she explains that after his mom died a few years ago, he
- 17:26became emotionally, financially and physically abusive. And she says, if I have
- 17:33to, I'll show the evidence. If you're in a corpse, I know,
- 17:37But she doesn't want to embarrass them, is what she said. We're
- 17:38going to get to see the evidence. No, not gonna get to see
- 17:41that. So she explains that she went on a girl's trip. We love,
- 17:48we love that, go on the girls. We love a girl's trip.
- 17:52We love a boy's trip, boys trip. When she came back,
- 17:57he was very nasty and like mean, like, I mean, I think
- 18:03you've take it a shower. I don't know. As far as I know,
- 18:07it was just being rude and accuses her of cheating on him on this
- 18:15trip with a seventy five year old. She's sixty seven, Frank says,
- 18:22Louise, She's like, I would never like a seventy five year old like
- 18:26like that. Yeah, so old, And Frank is like, Louise,
- 18:29you already have one foot in the grave. Of course you're sleeping with a
- 18:32seventy five year old. Wow, God, she is not taking that well.
- 18:37One day, Louise gets a text from a friend showing that Frank is
- 18:45on Facebook Dating. I didn't know what existed, and that didn't know what
- 18:49existed Facebook Dating. She says that she cleanses Facebook Dating does exist, all
- 18:57right, not your go to Aaron. It's my least favorite of all the
- 19:03dating sites. Yeah, well probably because it's filled with Frank's and Louis's out.
- 19:07Yeah, it's people who couldn't find dates on other sites and yeah,
- 19:11just there. So we see his dating profile and apparently he claimed to her
- 19:18that he was hacks, that it was someone made this profile. It was
- 19:22a hit. She then shows a text from a woman that she claims he
- 19:30went to go meet up with. She calls this woman, what what was
- 19:34it? The media? How do you say it? Aminieville horror, Amiteville
- 19:40horror? Ho is what she calls her, Amityville horror. Ho. Yes,
- 19:45I think she's located there. I don't know, but she keeps saying
- 19:49that over and over again. Then she caught him sleeping with quote unquote a
- 19:56bar ho oh yeah, run of the mill. And so Jerry is like,
- 20:00Okay, you have told us that he is sometimes rude and that he
- 20:07cheats. What are you suing for? Yeah, and she says, I'm
- 20:11suing for the stuff that I have given him over the years, including the
- 20:18gold chain. Yeah, Frank's turned to talk. Frank says, the first
- 20:23time I met her, I knew I wanted to marry her. She claimed
- 20:26that she was forty. Turns out she was forty seven. She says,
- 20:30I said I was in my forties of course. Of course. He says.
- 20:36Every few years they would get close to getting married and she would say,
- 20:42I'm not ready yet, and he was, And he says, all
- 20:47I wanted was to get married and to have one more kid. She knew
- 20:52that, and she kept pushing things back. Yeah, well she's in her
- 20:56I mean she's forty seven. She's now in her sixties. Yeah, well
- 20:59she has like late late's, early sixties or something, got it. And
- 21:03so one night at a club. They go to the club, so you
- 21:07can find them in the club. So they're just like different than me,
- 21:11Like when I'm in my fifties, sixties, thirties, I'm not going to
- 21:17the club, But I just live differently than they do. When I at
- 21:21the club, a guy came up and was like hey, like like he
- 21:26knew her. And she runs to the bathroom, runs away, and he's
- 21:30like, I knew right then and there she's been cheating on me. She's
- 21:33embarrassed, she's been cheating on me. She's like, this never happened,
- 21:36never happened, very interesting voice, you're doing, thank you? And he
- 21:41is like, she is suing me for this gold chain. She got me
- 21:48this gold chain for my fiftieth birthday. She knew I always wanted a gold
- 21:52chain. She got me the gold chain for my birthday. Wild if you
- 21:57think that, you think she just wanted the money instead of the chain.
- 22:03Isn't she just suing for the money? The money so he gets to keep
- 22:07the gold chain, right in theory, I guess he could give it back,
- 22:10but I don't know. She says, yes, I did buy the
- 22:15chain for him, but it was a conditional gift. I told him,
- 22:19you'll get this gold chain when you stop drinking. Oh he never stopped drinking,
- 22:26and he just took the chain. He stole the chain. Take it.
- 22:30He's like, that's not true. She gave it to me. On
- 22:33my birthday. She knew I always wanted a gold chain. It was a
- 22:34great fiftieth birthday gift, which note to self, on your fiftieth, I'm
- 22:42going to give you single solitary gold. I'm going to give you a gold
- 22:45chain for your birth by Black T Shirt. And you'll look. It's gonna
- 22:49pop, You'll look awesome. Frank then goes to the stuff on the floor.
- 22:55You remember that, the stuff on the floor Annie, And uh,
- 22:59He's like, this is some of the stuff that I'm suing for. If
- 23:02you look here, this cushion the top of it's clearly new, and I'll
- 23:06explain to you why it's new. She took a knife to my Martha Stewart
- 23:11cushions went down, good stuffing everywhere. Boy, if she doesn't still care
- 23:18for me, why did she get it reupholstered. So stupid? So in
- 23:25short, stupid if you if you don't mind. In short, she is
- 23:30suing for the gold chain, a lamp, some other random stuff. Engagement.
- 23:37He is suing for an engagement ring that she claims he stole back from
- 23:44her when they broke up and ponded it. That's where it is. Because
- 23:48she's like, I don't have this ring anymore. He's like, you have
- 23:51to have the ring, and she's like, no, you you took it
- 23:52any pond it. He's ready to roll. So I don't know. Jerry
- 23:57does his own thing. He's not even in a court of law. He's
- 24:00just doing Jerry. We know that an engagement ring is the only conditional gift.
- 24:06We know that, right, Yeah, Like it's a gift that you
- 24:10have to be returned if you don't get married, right, isn't that the
- 24:14rule? We we haven't gaveled something like that. Is the reverse of that
- 24:17where they get to keep it regardless. I'm pretty sure it's the only conditional
- 24:19gift. I think nobody's getting anything. I think everybody's just gonna keep their
- 24:26stuff and they need to not talk to each other anymore. That's what I
- 24:27think. Ummm, no, not necessarily now, he Jerry explains, there's
- 24:34no proof that you said that the chain was conditional, and there's no proof
- 24:38that that you have the ring basically, or that you don't or whatever.
- 24:45Basically, those two things are gonna cancel each other out, he says,
- 24:49As you can see, she gave you back your tackle box, and you're
- 24:52Martha Stewart cushion, what more, Yeah, you can't. So you have
- 24:56that back. You have to pay for the other stuff, the lamp,
- 25:03other thing. It's twelve hundred dollars. Okay, she's gonna get twel hundred
- 25:04dollars. So that's now. She says, uh, quit being so despicable
- 25:14to Frank. Frank says, quit being such a hoe. They fight,
- 25:19They're just like she gets it. She's like no, She's like, what
- 25:23you call me with? And he's like, I just want to get out
- 25:26of here. How do I get out of here? No one is helping
- 25:30him get out of the courtroom, and she's just like, you're just you're
- 25:33just you're a disgrace to America. She's at one point America, and he's
- 25:37like, can someone help me get out of here? Never do see him
- 25:41exit the courtroom? Wow, just this day and that is that's how he
