  Speaker 1: frame of mind to try to be sharing and try

  Speaker 1: to be motivational and ubly even when it's not felt

  Speaker 1: or wanted by some people.

  Speaker 2: I have people around me.

  Speaker 1: Who seem to not benefit at all or anything, and

  Speaker 1: I can sit with them and talk to them or

  Speaker 1: take meetings with them to try to encourage them, and

  Speaker 1: for whatever reason, you know, they want to just keep

  Speaker 1: going the way they're going. When you run into people

  Speaker 1: like that, you have to pray for them. You have

  Speaker 1: to just hope that one day that they release the

  Speaker 1: chains on their mind and open up your mind to

  Speaker 1: a new way of thinking. Couple of things I wanted

  Speaker 1: to go over with I want you to all today

  Speaker 1: in terms of motivation. I want you to be aware

  Speaker 1: of statements or old sayings that have been created that

  Speaker 1: you hear over the course of time, and you may

  Speaker 1: be applying them to your life. And I want you

  Speaker 1: to be careful of some of them, because some of

  Speaker 1: these old sayings man are not designed for people who

  Speaker 1: are dreamers, are not designed for people who have any

  Speaker 1: aspirations of being extraordinary. These are not designs or sayings

  Speaker 1: that people who want to be extremely successful at anything
• 1:43
  Speaker 1: or have high aspirations to put these sayings into your life.

  Speaker 1: Let me give you an example. Statistics say that's it.

  Speaker 1: That's the one I want you to be careful about.

  Speaker 1: Statistics say, be very careful of stats. When a person says,

  Speaker 1: you know, statistics say one out of every what see,

  Speaker 1: listen to me. These are things that sound like they're good,

  Speaker 1: sound solid advice, but they're setting you up for failure.

  Speaker 1: And you can't adhere yourself to a lot of these

  Speaker 1: sayings that's been passed down from generations. And it's not scripture.

  Speaker 1: It ain't in a scripture nowhere that statistics say. It's

  Speaker 1: just some people and a lot of people who have

  Speaker 1: lost have come up with these sayings to justify why

  Speaker 1: they keep losing or why they lost. When I was

  Speaker 1: Earth got started in the business, there were more stand

  Speaker 1: ups around now than it is today. Because the comedy

  Speaker 1: boom in eighty four eighty five was uh, it was

  Speaker 1: scar and a lot of momentums, comedy clubs, comedy nights everywhere.

  Speaker 1: know if it was true. I'm just telling you a

  Speaker 1: guy was out there spewing numbers. I have no idea

  Speaker 1: how many it was, but he said, one in every

  Speaker 1: two thousand will make it to the Tonight Show.

  Speaker 1: People say statistics say, because they are set up to

  Speaker 1: fulfailure if you're gonna adhere to them. See that won

  Speaker 1: be the one to hit. Not when the dude hits

  Speaker 1: Don't you dare blame God for something you may have

  Speaker 1: not done on yourself because you didn't get the proper education,

  Speaker 1: not it wasn't the Lord's will. These are all statements

  Speaker 1: that sound like sound advice, but they ain't. All the time,

  Speaker 1: got nothing to do with you. Stop letting these old

  Speaker 1: fogy sayings get in your way of what can happen

  Speaker 1: in your life. Don't put all your eggs in one basket.

  Speaker 1: If you don't pour all your efforts into one thing.

  Speaker 1: If Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird had

  Speaker 1: not played basketball sun up to sundown. Magic Johnson didn't

  Speaker 1: go to Michigan to get an education. Larry Berry ain't

  Speaker 1: back to Ford and big for my job back.

  Speaker 2: Hey man, put all your eggs in a basket.

  Speaker 1: Just make sure that your basket is made up of faith, hope, belief,

  Speaker 1: hard work. Your basket woven by God. What you tripping for?

  Speaker 1: You're defeating yourself. Where is your faith? Where is your belief?

  Speaker 1: Where is your trust? At one point in time, you

  Speaker 1: got to bleed that God could do what he said

  Speaker 1: gonna do because he'dn't done it for others, he'll most

  Speaker 1: certainly do it for you. Be careful of these sayings

  Speaker 1: that's out here, that's aligned by losers and people to

  Speaker 1: justify why they are not succeeding. Don't apply this stuff

  Speaker 1: to your life. And it ain't got nothing to do
