- 0:00So I started writing the music in 2019, and at the time
- 0:06everybody was still alive. So, you know, good times.
- 0:08So I was. So I wrote a good batch of the
- 0:11music. And then after that I lost my
- 0:13father. And that left me pretty well
- 0:16completely empty when it comes to, you know, music in general.
- 0:22Like you just like you switch priorities in life and see
- 0:26what's important and what's not. And this music was not, it is
- 0:31important, but it's just like, what is it compared to the loss
- 0:33of, of a parent, you know, parent.
- 0:36So I, I was hoping I would be able to translate that into
- 0:40music like, you know, innocently.
- 0:42I'm just like, oh, you know, this is another like when you're
- 0:44sad, when you're 16, your girlfriend left you and you're
- 0:47like, I'm going to write that song about her because I'm sad.
- 0:51But this was not like that. There was nothing coming out.
- 0:54And then, and then Joey left us a few months after that and I
- 0:58was just another we, we talked with the rest of the band and we
- 1:01said we're going to dedicate the album to Joey because he came up
- 1:04with the name. That gave me the sort of like a
- 1:06motivation to carry on. And luckily, like I said, most
- 1:10of the stuff was written beforehand, so all I had to do
- 1:13was just carry on and finish, you know?
- 1:16But I don't think I would have been able in 21 to just start
- 1:20from scratch because it's just like, you know, it takes time.
- 1:24Grieving takes a lot of time. And I'm still in the process.
- 1:28And so, so yeah, happy times. What's up
- 1:38everybodyitskeith@ghostcodemag.com I am super stoked to be hanging
- 1:42out with Frederick Lacruk today. You know him from Dragon Forest
- 1:45and Creator, but also we're going to talk about the new
- 1:48album in devastation from since Anum.
- 1:51I'm practicing that name a bunch of times.
- 1:54I hope I didn't say it wrong. I've been Oh.
- 1:55You did, you did good like during it.
- 1:58So I'm just like, I always going to see that and see them and
- 2:00see. Yeah, yeah.
- 2:02No, that's good since anum that's oh, really, but.
- 2:05Yeah, yeah. So 1st and foremost, you know,
- 2:09what a, what a banger of an album.
- 2:12You know, I was looking forward to this for a long time.
- 2:14The announcement was, you know, really put a smile on my face.
- 2:17And then this album is, you know, it's a, it's a lot to take
- 2:20in, but it's awesome. It's definitely one of my
- 2:23favorite heavy releases of the year.
- 2:24But it's based on, you know, it comes from a place of a lot of
- 2:27tragedy for you. And, you know, I'm very sorry
- 2:30for your losses. Even the last record had Shawn
- 2:33Reinert, who passed away. We've been talking a lot about
- 2:36him on the channel and on the website lately because
- 2:40Gruesome's whole new album is about Sean and a lot of, you
- 2:43know, obviously a big tribute to death in general.
- 2:45So you know, I'm sorry for what you've been through, but I hope
- 2:48it was therapeutic for you to make this record and dedicate it
- 2:53to those who you've missed. It's not quite to make the album
- 2:57as much as doing interviews for for it because quite frankly.
- 3:03So I started writing the music in 2019 and at the time
- 3:09everybody was still alive. So, you know, good times.
- 3:12So I was. So I wrote a good batch of the
- 3:14music. And then after that I lost my
- 3:16father. And that left me pretty well
- 3:19completely empty when it comes to, you know, music in general.
- 3:25Like you just like you switch priorities in life and see
- 3:30what's important and what's not. And this music was not, it is
- 3:34important, but it's just like, what is it compared to the loss
- 3:37of, of a parent, you know, parent.
- 3:40So that just I, I was hoping I would be able to translate that
- 3:44into music like, you know, innocently.
- 3:46I'm just like, oh, you know, this is another like when you're
- 3:49sad, when, you know, when you're 16, your girlfriend left you and
- 3:54you're like, I'm going to write that song about her because I'm
- 3:57sad. But this was not like that.
- 3:59There was nothing coming out. And then and then Joey left us a
- 4:03few months after that. And it was just another, you
- 4:06know, and then we decided to we, we talked with the rest of the
- 4:10band and we said, we're going to dedicate the album to Joey
- 4:13because he came up with the name that you were about to you were
- 4:16able to pronounce correctly. By the way.
- 4:18I wanted to stress that again. And so that that gave me the
- 4:24sort of like a motivation to carry on.
- 4:26And luckily, like I said, most of the stuff was written
- 4:30beforehand, so all I had to do was just carry on and finish,
- 4:34you know? But I don't think I would have
- 4:36been able in 21 to just start from scratch because it's just
- 4:41like, you know, it takes time. Grieving takes a lot of time.
- 4:45And I'm still in the process. And so, so yeah, happy times.
- 4:51Well, I think it's a, you know, unfortunately part of the our
- 4:54human makeup is that, you know, we, we attach to things and
- 4:59then, you know, people, things, places, memories, and then they
- 5:02leave. We lose them invariably or they
- 5:05lose us. Right.
- 5:06Yeah. And so it's been on one hand, as
- 5:10a huge fan of Joey and all his work, you know, it's, it's hard.
- 5:14The years go by. It's the same thing, like I
- 5:16said, with Sean, who was a big supporter of ghost call early on
- 5:21and you know, and you with a personal loss.
- 5:25We've all kind of been there. So, you know, but I think with
- 5:28Joey, it's nice to see these things done in his name, done
- 5:31with him in mind. So many projects popping up and
- 5:36and paying tribute, which is really nice.
- 5:38And, and I'm sure for for Andre coming in and playing drums, not
- 5:43an easy throne to fill, but what a job he has done.
- 5:47Yeah, yeah, I think so. That's the good thing.
- 5:49Like Andre, for those who don't know was the but I probably know
- 5:53that he was the drum tech on the Sinsenum tour.
- 5:56So you could see Joey perform everyday and he would actually
- 6:00jump on stage with us and do percussions on the song Final
- 6:03Resolve. So when the time when we
- 6:06decided, OK, let's carry on, you know, and we're just wondering
- 6:09who we're going to work with, you know, then we talked about
- 6:13it and I guess it made total sense to keep, to keep it in the
- 6:16family, so to say, like Anthrax would say.
- 6:20And yeah. And, and I guess, yeah, it was,
- 6:24it was like a perfect choice because I like to work with like
- 6:27people I trust, people I know, friends.
- 6:29And that's, that's how, that's how Sinsellum started.
- 6:33That's also how my hero started. And that's how Shawn Reinert
- 6:37ended up playing one of his last thing, you know, with us with
- 6:41Anna Hero, because he was supposed to do the album and he
- 6:44just, he couldn't make the whole thing.
- 6:45But at least he just gave us one song, which you saw, you know,
- 6:49you have it, you can keep it for free and rest is history.
- 6:52But so, yeah, keeping in the in the family was was important.
- 6:56And yeah. And obviously Andre is a very
- 6:59good drummer, which is also important, you know, but we
- 7:03could we could have also like as someone like very famous and
- 7:06keep going in that sort of super group, blah, blah, blah, which
- 7:09I've always hated anyway. So.
- 7:12So yeah, keeping in the family was important.
- 7:15And I guess it is a pressure for him and I've never seen it that
- 7:18way because I'm just focused on all the other aspects of the
- 7:21band. So yes, sometimes people are
- 7:23just, that must be very difficult for him.
- 7:25Now, I realise doing all these interviews and him sometimes
- 7:28going, you know, he felt the pressure obviously, but I was
- 7:31just not really paying attention to him because to me he was
- 7:35doing, he is doing such a, you know, a terrific job.
- 7:39Then I didn't even occur to me that, yes, he's replacing Joey
- 7:43Jordison, you know, which is a, you know, big shoes to fit in.
- 7:47But he's been doing it perfectly.
- 7:49Here comes hat #1 but it's just because I was complimenting him
- 7:53on the infectious group hat. But I'm not going to keep it.
- 7:56I'm just putting that. That's it.
- 7:57I love. Only I only found two, Yeah.
- 8:00Oh, OK, I love creator and I'm I'm super glad you're you're
- 8:03working out there. I really didn't want to.
- 8:04I didn't want to do self promotion.
- 8:06It's really literally just that one and the second one, I'm just
- 8:09going to wear it now. It's fucking.
- 8:12That's it. Hey, it's me.
- 8:14Yeah. Yeah, yes, yeah.
- 8:16So that those are like they're not nearly as good as your
- 8:19infectious group. Well.
- 8:21I got very lucky to see them last year.
- 8:23It looks like they're playing a few more shows soon, so that's
- 8:25nice. Anyway, sorry.
- 8:29No, it's OK. You know, kind of in a similar
- 8:31way this band has come together kind of like an infectious
- 8:34grooves, right? I love that.
- 8:36I love the mix between Sean and Attila, right, because, you
- 8:41know, 2 very different vocalist, but you know, under the same
- 8:43umbrella. But such a great set of
- 8:46performances. You know, did you come in kind
- 8:49of in, as you're, you know, writing this material for a long
- 8:52time and, and people, you know, also, you know, your, your
- 8:56guitar work is always very well respected and people always are,
- 9:00you know, complimenting your guitar playing and, and writing.
- 9:03And did you write in mind with each vocalist or just kind of,
- 9:08you know, made all the material and then said here, pick this?
- 9:11For for the first album, it was written, we've shown in mind up
- 9:17to a certain point when when Joey mentioned like how about
- 9:20asking Attila and Attila just had just met him like a few
- 9:25months prior. And I was just like, we, we
- 9:27really like we really got along. And so I was just like, yeah,
- 9:30fuck yeah, that's awesome. You know, I never really was not
- 9:33in my, you know, on my spectrum, on my radar.
- 9:35But yeah, that'd be awesome. So then with that in mind, I I
- 9:39wrote the song on found this out.
- 9:41Thomas. I'm talking about the first one
- 9:43with that part just about, you know, I with his vocals in mind,
- 9:48with his voice in mind for this album when I started writing the
- 9:53music. No, I, because he, he was not
- 9:56very present on the second one, because, you know, he stepped,
- 10:00he stepped down a bit. He's still part of the band,
- 10:02part of the family, you know, rather than band, you know.
- 10:04So he was on the Reportion for Humanity.
- 10:07He, he, he sang on three songs, I believe, I think.
- 10:13And he couldn't do the live shows apart from two.
- 10:17He was there in Budapest and he was there in in Norway and so on
- 10:22the on the third album, I was just like, well, you know, it's
- 10:25it's going to be the same. I guess he's going to we'll see
- 10:28when he when he's available and whatnot.
- 10:30This is not the priority. And then obviously when when we
- 10:34decided to carry on, we contacted him and we said like,
- 10:36OK, the album is going to be, you know, also like a tribute to
- 10:39Joey as well. And it makes total sense for
- 10:42you. And he was just like, yeah,
- 10:43yeah, bro. Absolutely.
- 10:45That's how he says bro, yeah, bro.
- 10:47So. So I'm just like, yeah, fuck
- 10:49yeah, Just like, yeah, I sing as much as you want.
- 10:52And he was like, yeah, well, try to define what you prefer
- 10:55because we had to do that. You know, everybody had to do
- 10:59that because I was always on tour.
- 11:01So there was not a chance like we had done in the past until I
- 11:04would fly in, in Paris or somewhere I was.
- 11:08And then I would be conducting him, which was always fun to do,
- 11:12but this time it was more like he he had to do it like remote.
- 11:15And so I, I define certain places.
- 11:19We became that they became obvious once, Yeah, once I knew
- 11:27that he was going to be there just like, well, yes, this is
- 11:30definitely your part. This is we're going to benefit
- 11:32so much from having you there. And then, you know, together
- 11:36with the lyrics coming and just like, OK, that's.
- 11:38So the very beginning. Nothing was in mind other than,
- 11:43you know, Sean's going to sing and then we'll see how it goes.
- 11:47But then when when everybody was on board and it was time to
- 11:52carry on and finish the songs, it all made total sense.
- 11:56And I hope that answer made sense as well.
- 11:58Probably didn't. So good.
- 12:01I I feel like, yeah, Sean, by the way, if people missed the
- 12:05new Comeback Doth album last year, you should go get that
- 12:09because his performance on that was also amazing.
- 12:12And Attila, I just feel like would be so much fun to to write
- 12:15with and and work with in the studio.
- 12:18He's definitely it's that the the person Attila is not the
- 12:21stage performer in Mayhem. People, I think, probably get
- 12:24that wrong, you know, and expect like a very serious and and, you
- 12:28know, emotionless kind of conduit of a person, but
- 12:32couldn't be further from the truth.
- 12:33Such a fun guy. Yeah, we all have like a
- 12:36different facade, you know? Like obviously if you see Atila
- 12:39on stage, you go like, Oh my God, you know, And it's very far
- 12:42from from the person that is, you know, and it's the same with
- 12:45me. You see like, oh, it's, you
- 12:46know, when I do interviews, I'm always like most of the time,
- 12:50apart from when I started to do those interviews for the for the
- 12:52band, for this album, because that was, it was horrible
- 12:56talking about my father and Joey.
- 12:57And it was just like, it was dragging, you know.
- 12:59But eventually, like I said, now I'm, you know, I'm at peace with
- 13:03that. And so people would think that
- 13:05I'm just, oh, you know, he doesn't care, he's happy, he's
- 13:07making fun, you know, blah, blah.
- 13:09But I'm, I'm actually also different and on stage and in
- 13:12life and sometimes, and, you know, and Joey was the same, you
- 13:15know, Joey was actually like, you would see him like a, you
- 13:18know, very serious, like drummer and he had an attitude when he
- 13:22was doing interviews and whatnot, but he was just like
- 13:24such a sweetheart and whatnot. So it's always interesting, like
- 13:27the difference between, you know, a character that you want
- 13:30to put out and I'm not, by the way, I'm not like like
- 13:34pretending to be something right now.
- 13:36This is part of my I, I never do.
- 13:38I never play a role when I when I do interviews or I try not to,
- 13:43but I don't see the point of being like we are making a death
- 13:46metal album and we try to. This one is called devastation
- 13:50because we want to destroy mankind with our Sonic BLOB.
- 13:55Fuck off. You know, it's it's not, it
- 13:57doesn't matter. You know, it's just, I'm just,
- 13:59I'm just the way I am. But also, there's like more to
- 14:02me than just this. And what I was trying to say is
- 14:05just like, it's the same with Atila and it was the same with
- 14:07Joey. And it's the same with with all
- 14:09of us, with you, with your light in the back.
- 14:11You know you're not that. You know that guy with that
- 14:13light in the back that we keep seeing.
- 14:15No I I get criticized for I smile and talk and laugh too
- 14:18much to be a serious metalhead apparently.
- 14:22Don't ever read your YouTube comments, but I read all.
- 14:25Of them, Oh God, no, no, we were we were talking about it like
- 14:28not so long ago with Miller. We were in studio and I was I
- 14:32was about to release the first song like in devastation and he
- 14:36was just like, do not, you know, do not read the comments.
- 14:39And I'm like, I know, but you can't help it.
- 14:42You have to read the comments and people are just like, you
- 14:45know, they don't care. They're just like behind their
- 14:47their, you know, keyboard and scream and they like he's got a
- 14:52suffocation shirt on, but he smiles and he has an infectious
- 14:55groove. He doesn't know anything about
- 14:57real death metal was an asshole. Plus he's got like a pink light
- 15:03in on his bed while loser. Exactly.
- 15:05All the time. That's exactly it.
- 15:07Yeah. Well, I.
- 15:09Mean, let's see, let's see what those guys do.
- 15:11What do they do? Nothing.
- 15:12It's always somebody like, like who doesn't do anything.
- 15:14I'm not, I'm not surprised. I'm not surprised.
- 15:17I'd rather be out in the world doing.
- 15:18I also played in bands for a long time, you know, like I do
- 15:21other things beside this. But yeah, man, what a what a
- 15:25killer album. And you know, of course, I
- 15:28wanted to ask also what contributions Stephanie and
- 15:31Hymuth made also to, you know, if they just came in and
- 15:34performed what you wrote, did they get to put in some of their
- 15:36own parts? I guess, I guess so I write most
- 15:41of the material, if not everything when it comes to
- 15:43music. But they they always come with
- 15:46their own twist, you know, like because they have like a strong
- 15:50personality when it comes to to their instrument.
- 15:53So things change because it's not like it's never like set in
- 15:57stone. It is like, this is what it is.
- 15:59But I'm also not just like idly. And so it's just like, you know,
- 16:03it comes and just like it benefits from everybody's
- 16:07interpretation. Same with Shawn or, or, or
- 16:10Andre, you know, it's just this is this is what I had in mind.
- 16:14But also I am not. So I guess for guitar and bass,
- 16:17it's a little different because I am a drummer.
- 16:19I mean, I mean, I'm a guitar player and a bass player, so I
- 16:22know what I want. But for the drums, you know, I'm
- 16:24like any any other guitar player I'm doing.
- 16:29And then the drummer goes like, Nope, this is not humanly
- 16:32possible. This has to be like this.
- 16:34I'm like, Are you sure it sounds better on my demo?
- 16:36No, goes like this. OK, fine.
- 16:38And then you the the whole album is ruined because you really
- 16:41want it now. I'm kidding, but but yeah, so
- 16:45this is, you know, the, the they they, they put their own
- 16:50contribution. Same with shown.
- 16:51You know, just like he needs to breathe and he it's going to
- 16:55pronounce it in a different way and it comes with a different
- 16:57pattern by mistake. I'm just like, wow, this is
- 16:59actually better. So that's, you know, happy, I
- 17:02guess happy mistakes, happy contributions makes it like the
- 17:05album that it is. But it's mainly, I mean, just,
- 17:08you know, it is mainly. Well, it's, you know, it's, it
- 17:11is a little bit of, you know, let it go, right?
- 17:13They're not your children, your songs, but you wrote it and you,
- 17:16you heard them in your head a certain way.
- 17:17And then, you know, they do get interpreted, right?
- 17:20They get played a certain way. Somebody's hands on a fret board
- 17:23or somebody's, you know, their, their, their approach is always
- 17:26going to put their own little stamp on it.
- 17:28That wasn't what you did. But I'm glad that you feel free
- 17:31enough and trust them enough to to let them, because you know,
- 17:34some people can't. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 17:36No, I mean, you know, and sometimes you, you just do
- 17:39things also, like I've done in the past as well, it's sometimes
- 17:43easier to do things yourself. You know, you, you save time.
- 17:47So certain parts you do everything, you go, ah, that's
- 17:50fine. And then, you know, you delegate
- 17:51and whatnot. I guess what matters the most at
- 17:54the end is the end result. So, you know, if we, if you
- 17:57benefit from the others, that's great.
- 17:58And and here we go. Right on.
- 18:01Do you have a favorite track on the record?
- 18:02I think mine so far is Buried Alive.
- 18:04It's all strong. I love all of it, but I think I
- 18:06keep coming back to that one. Funny, those like Buried Alive
- 18:11and Spiritual Lies almost didn't make it on the album.
- 18:14And yeah, yeah, I mean, so I've been working on those songs.
- 18:17We've been working on those songs for, like I said, seven
- 18:20years or so. So it's a love and hate
- 18:22relationship. Some of the songs just like,
- 18:24doesn't even make sense anymore. I fucking hate that song.
- 18:27And then I know it's actually great.
- 18:29And you know, Buried Alive. Buried Alive was supposed to be
- 18:32#2 on the album for a long time. I had like I remember mowing the
- 18:35lawn and listening to the album from the from the 156th time and
- 18:42all like the demos at the time and going like, OK, the album
- 18:46was supposed to start differently.
- 18:47They had like a instrumental intro and then a song.
- 18:50These two songs you're making on the album, They are we keep them
- 18:54for like maybe an EP or of some sort, I don't know.
- 18:57But it felt like it was like a maybe like a step back and
- 19:00sounded be too old anyway. You don't it's irrelevant to
- 19:04talk about these songs because no one knows them apart from me.
- 19:07But and Buried Alive was coming as a number 2.
- 19:10And then I was like, Oh, this is cool.
- 19:12And then when we once we got rid of those songs, just like maybe
- 19:16Buried Alive doesn't. Maybe it sounds too much like
- 19:19Fear Factory and maybe that solo, I don't know, that solo
- 19:23has too much of A dying back there or vibe to it.
- 19:26Is it really us? But then it goes into like some
- 19:29like Pestilence vibe and fuck, maybe, you know.
- 19:33And I ask everybody because I ask their opinion also for track
- 19:36list because sometimes I'm just like, I'm overwhelmed.
- 19:38I'm like guys, I have no idea. What do you think?
- 19:41Same thing. There was another song I was
- 19:43adamant has to be on the album. It's awesome.
- 19:46I fucking love it. It's great.
- 19:47No one, no one in the band, like no one in the band.
- 19:50Just like, not that one. I'm just like, really, you guys
- 19:53know. OK, fine.
- 19:54And so that's how we ended up with Buried Alive.
- 19:57And now it makes total sense when I listen to you.
- 19:59Just like, yeah, I'm glad they, you know, they picked that one,
- 20:01but I'm glad you like it. My favorite is, I don't know, I
- 20:07have no idea. I think, I think I still love.
- 20:12Obsolete and broken. I think it's great.
- 20:15But now that we've done a video for it, it's just like it has
- 20:18that much exposure, exposure that maybe, you know, I would
- 20:22prefer. Like it's something that's more
- 20:23obscure than no one's been mentioning.
- 20:25So I'm just waiting on everybody's input and then I
- 20:28will come up with like, well, actually everybody was wrong
- 20:31because my favorite is that's how I like to be.
- 20:35I like this wretched world. I think that's a cool song as
- 20:38well. It has that sort of like Ashes
- 20:40from our EP Ashes has that vibe and is like a lot of it's a long
- 20:45solo intricate and it's kind of cool.
- 20:47But I like, I like them all and I hate them all.
- 20:50Such as the battle of being an artist in 2025, right?
- 20:53Go love, hate. Or just, you know, just kind of
- 20:56like by the time a record is done, it's like, okay, I don't
- 20:59unless we're going to play these live, I don't need to hear this
- 21:01anymore. Yeah, so I can.
- 21:03Relate. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 21:04I heard them for so long as well, like 7 years.
- 21:07Like, you know, there was like some, some, some moments I was
- 21:11just like, is it worth even, you know, and plus plus the fact
- 21:14that I was depressed and still am.
- 21:15So you, you know, you go through phases of just like joy.
- 21:18And then so I was telling a friend the other day I was just
- 21:21like, yeah, depression going through phases.
- 21:24And he was like, no, this is like, what's the word?
- 21:27Oh, God, man, I wanted to sound intelligent and now I forgot the
- 21:31name. When you're bipolar, it's like,
- 21:33no, this is bipolarity. I'm like, OK, all right, well,
- 21:37that's what I am then I guess maybe the.
- 21:40But I guess, yeah, I'm going through like I've been going
- 21:42through different motions. But I think depression is kind
- 21:45of like that too, you know, maybe a waves of depressions.
- 21:48Yeah, waves, that makes a lot of sense.
- 21:50How did you do with the Aussie news?
- 21:51Man, I took it really hard. I still AM.
- 21:54I we, we had to do a show the same day and someone told us
- 21:58like 5 minutes before going on stage.
- 22:00And I was fucking weird because I, you know, obviously I grew up
- 22:04listening to his music, but also I knew that he was old.
- 22:07And, you know, I guess once you start the note, I don't, you
- 22:11know, it's sad when people die. But once you start losing
- 22:14parents and whatnot, you have like you distance yourself from
- 22:17someone you, you've, you've met only once or twice, which I did,
- 22:21you know, I did US fest and I, I went to see him when he was with
- 22:25Gus G and I, we never really spoken more than just like, hey,
- 22:29and seeing him in the, you know, passing by, But, and also, so
- 22:32that's my story with him, like on the personal level, but as a,
- 22:36as a kid, you know, listening to that and the bark of the moon
- 22:41tour with the, you know, Salt Lake City with Jakey Lee and
- 22:44revelations and creating all those images.
- 22:46And I love the album Osmosis. So all of that comes, you know,
- 22:51and it's sad. And at the same time you see
- 22:53that he was, he was old and, you know, maybe it's better this way
- 22:56because, you know, at least he got to say goodbye.
- 22:58And it's, but it's, it's very sad.
- 23:00And he was like such an icon for the, for the style that we're
- 23:03making, you know, for the, the style of music we're playing.
- 23:06And but yeah, it was very hard that day when we had to go on
- 23:11stage like right after we're just like, you know, is
- 23:15something, Ah, you know, so it is A and and I guess, you know,
- 23:19in this day and age, you just like people talk about it all
- 23:22the time. So all you see on social media
- 23:25is that as well. So just like keeps like, you
- 23:27know, rehashing the I guess it's meant well, but it's also like
- 23:31it's overwhelming sometimes. But it's sad because he was
- 23:35indeed such a such an icon. And like I said, osmosis.
- 23:38Such a great album. Amazing.
- 23:40Yeah. A lot of people don't don't
- 23:42appreciate that the whole record enough.
- 23:44It's really fantastic. Perfect.
- 23:46And it's just like when it came out, I was a little disappointed
- 23:49because you would like go from like a hard song and then a
- 23:51ballad and then another ballad and then some.
- 23:53It was not that many like evil stuff because I was I was very
- 23:57evil at the time. But but now none that I listened
- 24:01to the album. You had such a such a vibe, like
- 24:03a midday mid 90s vibe. Love it.
- 24:06So yeah, Thunder. Thunder Underground is a very
- 24:09underrated song. Kind of reminds me of like a
- 24:11Pantera song. So kind of interesting years
- 24:13later that Zach would go on to do that.
- 24:16Just so In Devastation's coming out soon, what do you have?
- 24:19What else can you talk about that's going on either with the
- 24:22band or you know, what's coming up for you?
- 24:24Well, we, we're going to do a bunch of shows in, in Europe for
- 24:30a start, because you know, I'm very busy with creator.
- 24:34We've been recording an album with creator and, and there's a
- 24:38movie coming out as well. We in in Germany for now and
- 24:42we'll see if it comes out. That'd be nice if it would come
- 24:45out everywhere, but this is not in our hands anymore.
- 24:48So so I'm very busy. So we just we since Anam album
- 24:54out on the 8th of August, some shows in October and I need some
- 24:59rest man, I'm exhausted. Like I'm always on tour with
- 25:03creator and this is awesome and I don't want to complain about
- 25:07because I'm doing exactly what I wanted to do when I was a kid,
- 25:10but man, fuck. Like right now I need, I need
- 25:14like 2 to have a, I need to have a little, a little break.
- 25:18That'd be nice. So that's that's my plan right
- 25:20now. You've been terrific.
- 25:22I really appreciate the time. Congratulations on the new
- 25:25album. Great to see you again my
- 25:26friend. Thank you very much.
- 25:28Be safe on the road and we'll be looking forward to all the new
- 25:30things from you too. Thanks.
- 25:31Thank you very much, next time I will try to have like a better
- 25:34fucking hat and congratulation on that pink light.
- 25:37I hope you two people will not comment too harsh on this, I
- 25:41will have. AI will have a worse hat next
- 25:44time. And bad lighting, I promise.
- 25:46OK, perfect. Looking forward to see you.
- 25:48Take care.
