- 0:01Speaker 1: This episode is rated M for Misty. Yes, that's right,
- 0:04Speaker 1: this is a Misty episode, so it will be laced
- 0:06Speaker 1: with profanity even more than usual. If you're not comfortable
- 0:10Speaker 1: with this level of profanity, perhaps this isn't the episode
- 0:12Speaker 1: for you. But we have many other episodes to choose
- 0:15Speaker 1: from that do not feature Misty, and will probably be
- 0:17Speaker 1: far less offensive. Okay, maybe. With that having been said,
- 0:22Speaker 1: on with the show. This is Julie Adams, and you
- 0:35Speaker 1: are listening to Movie Meltdown.
- 0:54Speaker 2: It's showtime. The following feature has been rated R by
- 0:58Speaker 2: the Motion Picture Association of America. It is intended for
- 1:01Speaker 2: mature audiences and parental discretion is advised. Our nuclear reactor.
- 1:07Speaker 3: Pumping out one million.
- 1:09Speaker 2: Kilowatts of power. What's up and welcome to Movie Meltdown.
- 1:37Speaker 1: I'm Brian.
- 1:37Speaker 3: I'm Misty.
- 1:38Speaker 4: And I'm Jay.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Hey, how's it going?
- 1:42Speaker 5: What's up?
- 1:42Speaker 1: It's been a long time.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:02Speaker 5: Yes, it has. That's why I thought we would do
- 2:04Speaker 5: this one live via digital recording from the Bastion of Awesomeness.
- 2:08Speaker 6: Fucking A.
- 2:10Speaker 5: I was thinking it was, well, otherwise known as your kitchen,
- 2:13Speaker 5: but for those of you.
- 2:15Speaker 6: It encompasses our house in general. We're just currently in
- 2:17Speaker 6: the kitchen. The entire area that is within our limits
- 2:21Speaker 6: from that street corner over there to the back corner,
- 2:23Speaker 6: it all encompasses our Bastion of Awesomeness. Even when we
- 2:26Speaker 6: went into the yard, it still encompassed that area.
- 2:29Speaker 4: Even our big dead tree.
- 2:31Speaker 6: That my uncle hates.
- 2:33Speaker 4: Yeah, that your uncle hates.
- 2:34Speaker 6: And my neighbor's afraid it's going to fall on our house.
- 2:35Speaker 4: Just because he hates it.
- 2:36Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 2:38Speaker 7: That sounds about right.
- 2:39Speaker 6: I can't stand him in his diabetic socks.
- 2:43Speaker 5: That's a whole other reason to make fun of him.
- 2:44Speaker 6: That he wears those sandals.
- 2:46Speaker 5: Okay, that's off the charts.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Never mind.
- 2:49Speaker 5: So yeah, I was thinking, I was looking back and
- 2:52Speaker 5: I'm like, you know, we We hit this pattern the
- 2:55Speaker 5: last couple of years. Towards the end of the year,
- 2:57Speaker 5: beginning of the next year, we sort of end up
- 2:59Speaker 5: over here and we do a Bastion of Awesomeness episode.
- 3:02Speaker 5: So I thought we need to at least get.
- 3:04Speaker 1: One in here.
- 3:05Speaker 6: And we didn't get invited in for the holidays, so
- 3:07Speaker 6: I figure.
- 3:07Speaker 5: You won't come out of the Bastion, you know that.
- 3:10Speaker 6: It's cold outside.
- 3:10Speaker 7: There you go.
- 3:11Speaker 5: You know you're always invited, but we went out into
- 3:14Speaker 5: the world.
- 3:15Speaker 6: But you usually come here for Christmas.
- 3:18Speaker 5: But you weren't making pizza. Fred was making fancy pizza.
- 3:21Speaker 6: I bet it's gross.
- 3:22Speaker 5: You wouldn't like it. It was not.
- 3:24Speaker 4: Misty wouldn't like it.
- 3:25Speaker 5: It was Lucy approved.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Oh, God.
- 3:28Speaker 5: So, you know, it was different than normal pizzas.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Gross.
- 3:32Speaker 5: Everyone loved it.
- 3:32Speaker 6: It's all like healthy and shit, right?
- 3:33Speaker 5: It was like healthy and shit. But if I ate it,
- 3:38Speaker 5: you know, it's got to be pretty acceptable.
- 3:39Speaker 6: No, dude, you're just usually hungry.
- 3:40Speaker 5: That's true, too. I kind of am right now.
- 3:43Speaker 6: That's why I gave you the Starburst, dude.
- 3:45Speaker 5: There's a reason.
- 3:46Speaker 4: Ain't no damn box pizza, is it?
- 3:48Speaker 5: Actually, we had that, too. We ordered in two different kinds,
- 3:52Speaker 5: and then Fred made two or three different versions. So
- 3:54Speaker 5: we had quite an array.
- 3:56Speaker 4: Chef Boyardee pizza.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Oh, no.
- 3:58Speaker 5: He made it from scratch.
- 3:59Speaker 6: Dude, Chef Boyardee pizza is the best. With the little pepperonis.
- 4:02Speaker 5: Those are awesome.
- 4:03Speaker 6: They're fucking rowdy is what those are.
- 4:04Speaker 5: I've spent many a day making and eating those.
- 4:07Speaker 6: Hells yeah.
- 4:08Speaker 5: They're awesome.
- 4:08Speaker 6: Okay, they are.
- 4:10Speaker 5: But that's where the holiday was. So now we're ringing
- 4:13Speaker 5: in the new year with you guys.
- 4:14Speaker 6: With that Halloween candy that.
- 4:16Speaker 5: I passed out. I am eating the candy corn fruit
- 4:21Speaker 5: flavored Starburst sponsored nonsense going on here.
- 4:24Speaker 6: They're nasty. You know they're nasty if they're still here
- 4:27Speaker 6: for Halloween.
- 4:28Speaker 5: If it's candy corn and it's still sitting here in
- 4:31Speaker 5: the new year, it's not going to be good.
- 4:33Speaker 4: Speaking of candy, I haven't tried the wasabi flavored candy
- 4:37Speaker 4: canes yet.
- 4:37Speaker 5: Oh, that's right.
- 4:38Speaker 4: And I think that would be a good opportunity to
- 4:40Speaker 4: try them.
- 4:40Speaker 5: A good way to bust it out.
- 4:41Speaker 6: You did eat what I got you for Christmas.
- 4:44Speaker 4: Well, yeah, I did eat the beef jerky chocolate.
- 4:47Speaker 5: I saw that. I thought about that too.
- 4:48Speaker 4: As weird as that sounds, it's really good.
- 4:51Speaker 6: I saw this and I'm like, oh, this is going
- 4:53Speaker 6: to be gross. I have to buy this for boyfriend.
- 4:56Speaker 4: I think it's good.
- 4:58Speaker 6: Yeah, but you're weird. And you eat weird things.
- 5:01Speaker 2: I do.
- 5:02Speaker 5: Do you want to test those live on the show? Sure.
- 5:06Speaker 4: I don't know where they're at right now.
- 5:07Speaker 6: They're in the cabinet. I put them away where they belong.
- 5:09Speaker 6: Away from my eyes.
- 5:10Speaker 4: We'll test them here in a minute.
- 5:13Speaker 5: That was my gift to Jay for this holiday season.
- 5:16Speaker 4: Yes, thank you for moving. I like odd things.
- 5:20Speaker 6: You do like me? I am odd.
- 5:22Speaker 4: I like odd flavored candies.
- 5:25Speaker 6: I don't know that I have an odd flavor, but okay.
- 5:28Speaker 4: Well, you're not a candy, are you?
- 5:30Speaker 6: Only on certain occasions.
- 5:32Speaker 5: That's not your stripper name at all.
- 5:34Speaker 6: No, it's not. I already have one of those.
- 5:37Speaker 5: Wait, is it the dog name? Huh? You're supposed to
- 5:42Speaker 5: use your dog's name as your first name and the
- 5:44Speaker 5: street you grew up on as your.
- 5:45Speaker 6: I thought it was cats. We didn't have cats.
- 5:47Speaker 5: I guess you could go either. Most trippers go either way.
- 5:50Speaker 6: No, that wouldn't be a good one. Is it the
- 5:53Speaker 6: cat name first and then the street name?
- 5:56Speaker 2: Yes.
- 5:58Speaker 5: If you go by mine.
- 5:59Speaker 6: That would be Samantha Eakin.
- 6:01Speaker 5: See, I think it's just your pet. And if you
- 6:03Speaker 5: go by mine.
- 6:04Speaker 4: He sounds more like an action star.
- 6:07Speaker 5: If you're going by mine, which was the first male
- 6:10Speaker 5: pet that we had, we had a bunch of girl dogs,
- 6:12Speaker 5: but growing up, the cat we had, then it's Shadow Talsman.
- 6:18Speaker 5: That's kind of amazing.
- 6:19Speaker 6: That is pretty erotic. Somebody's going to take that shit
- 6:21Speaker 6: right there.
- 6:21Speaker 4: Well, if you did mine street first and then the
- 6:24Speaker 4: pet name, mine would be Jonathan Spunky.
- 6:29Speaker 5: Oh, that is a porn name right there.
- 6:32Speaker 4: It's a special kind of porn.
- 6:35Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 6:36Speaker 4: British born.
- 6:39Speaker 3: Gross.
- 6:40Speaker 5: Hello.
- 6:41Speaker 6: Who?
- 6:42Speaker 5: We're about to do that, aren't we? Hello.
- 6:45Speaker 6: Hello. Oh, we're in.
- 6:47Speaker 5: Moving on. Oh, yeah.
- 6:48Speaker 6: Let's move along.
- 6:49Speaker 5: So, I figured it has been a while for you two,
- 6:52Speaker 5: so you've probably watched stuff and were ready to rant
- 6:55Speaker 5: about something. What have you watched lately for our geek
- 6:59Speaker 5: activities here?
- 7:00Speaker 6: Well, most recently was one that Boyfriend was okay with
- 7:04Speaker 6: a good portion of the way through. And then you
- 7:07Speaker 6: reach that point where I was like, you were like,
- 7:10Speaker 6: this movie isn't so bad. You were somewhat defending it.
- 7:12Speaker 4: I was, yeah, well, I mean, I wasn't going to
- 7:16Speaker 4: jump to conclusions on anything. I was just going to
- 7:18Speaker 4: kind of roll with it and just kind of ride along.
- 7:21Speaker 6: It wasn't that bad. You were rolling along fine.
- 7:22Speaker 4: Not get too bent out of shape over stuff.
- 7:24Speaker 6: And then it reached a certain point and you did
- 7:26Speaker 6: the sigh. Yeah. And I'm like, yep, he's reached the point.
- 7:29Speaker 6: He has reached the fuck this movie point. And we
- 7:33Speaker 6: should probably mention which movie we're talking about. We watched
- 7:36Speaker 6: The Wolverine just last night.
- 7:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:39Speaker 9: You know.
- 7:39Speaker 5: Which I didn't have as many problems with. And I'm
- 7:42Speaker 5: trying to decide what, because it does get ridiculous at
- 7:44Speaker 5: one point. I'm trying to decide if that's the point
- 7:46Speaker 5: or if it's a different point for you.
- 7:48Speaker 4: But the, uh, the, I guess the.
- 7:51Speaker 6: So we made it a good portion of the way through.
- 7:53Speaker 4: The comic book part that they took it from or
- 7:54Speaker 4: the graphic novel or whatever, uh, If they had just
- 7:58Speaker 4: stuck with that story, it would have made a good movie.
- 8:00Speaker 4: But what they kind of did was they were like,
- 8:01Speaker 4: this is good. Let's take this and let's take this
- 8:04Speaker 4: and let's do this. And now let's not make him that.
- 8:07Speaker 4: Let's make this guy this. And then you were just
- 8:10Speaker 4: kind of like, what? Huh?
- 8:13Speaker 1: Wait a minute.
- 8:14Speaker 5: The end gets very Hollywooded up.
- 8:16Speaker 9: It does.
- 8:17Speaker 6: But I called it. I called it. I'm like, oh,
- 8:19Speaker 6: I bet.
- 8:19Speaker 3: Yeah. Okay.
- 8:20Speaker 6: The movie's been out for a while. So I don't
- 8:22Speaker 6: think if I'm spoiling.
- 8:23Speaker 5: We'll throw out the spoiler alert here.
- 8:24Speaker 6: I'm like, dude, Grandpa's in that suit. I beg Grandpa.
- 8:27Speaker 4: He ends up being the Silver Samurai. Now, how lame
- 8:30Speaker 4: is that?
- 8:31Speaker 6: And he's a robot, dude.
- 8:32Speaker 4: He's a robot. Like, okay, they show the robot Silver Samurai.
- 8:36Speaker 6: That's when Boyfriend's like, oh, no.
- 8:38Speaker 5: I was like, oh. Dude, we were at the same time.
- 8:40Speaker 6: I was like.
- 8:42Speaker 5: It's pretty realistic. Like, most of the rest of the
- 8:44Speaker 5: way through, it's not really a superhero comic book movie.
- 8:46Speaker 4: It's pretty grounded. It's pretty good. And then you see
- 8:50Speaker 4: the suit of armor, and I was like, you've got
- 8:51Speaker 4: to be fucking kidding me. If this is a Japanese
- 8:54Speaker 4: samurai robot that's supposed to be the Silver Samurai, then
- 8:57Speaker 4: you just lost me. Because the Silver Samurai is supposed
- 9:00Speaker 4: to be a person, not some mech, you know?
- 9:03Speaker 6: I felt when the shift happened.
- 9:04Speaker 4: So, yeah, as soon as it kind of did the,
- 9:07Speaker 4: and it stood up, I was like, ugh.
- 9:11Speaker 5: It became Ed from RoboCop.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:13Speaker 4: I was like, You've got to be fucking kidding me.
- 9:16Speaker 1: All right.
- 9:16Speaker 5: I mean, that was the point for me. Okay, how
- 9:18Speaker 5: about maybe yours was earlier? Because I think a lot
- 9:21Speaker 5: of the rest of it's pretty good.
- 9:22Speaker 4: I stayed, yeah, you know, I kind of stayed along
- 9:25Speaker 4: for it. He didn't strike any goofy poses, which is cool.
- 9:28Speaker 6: Yeah, because we had discussed our opinions on the origins.
- 9:32Speaker 4: Oh, the Wolverine origins?
- 9:33Speaker 5: I still haven't watched that.
- 9:35Speaker 4: Dude it looks so bad it sucked it it blew
- 9:39Speaker 4: so hard.
- 9:39Speaker 6: Oh they're just the poses because you look and he's like.
- 9:41Speaker 4: It blew goats like literally yeah basically yeah what basically
- 9:45Speaker 4: what it was was uh they probably had a pile
- 9:47Speaker 4: of comic books and here they picked out poses that
- 9:52Speaker 4: stan stanley drew or whoever drew wolverine at whatever certain
- 9:56Speaker 4: point and was like here do this and so at
- 9:59Speaker 4: some point he's like, ha! And he would hold the pose.
- 10:03Speaker 4: He would hold the pose, the most uncomfortable, just idiotic pose.
- 10:09Speaker 4: When you're reading a comic book, that's cool because it's like, wow,
- 10:12Speaker 4: you're like, damn, that's cool.
- 10:14Speaker 5: Look how awesome this looks.
- 10:15Speaker 4: But when you see somebody do it, It's ridiculous. And
- 10:18Speaker 4: then stand there for like three seconds.
- 10:21Speaker 5: Did he also wink at the camera and be like, hey, fanboys?
- 10:25Speaker 3: No, no, he didn't.
- 10:25Speaker 4: He might as well.
- 10:26Speaker 5: He might as well.
- 10:27Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 10:27Speaker 6: So, yeah, we had very low expectations going into The
- 10:31Speaker 6: Wolverine just because so many of your friends hated it.
- 10:33Speaker 4: Yeah, I've got one friend that just tore into it
- 10:37Speaker 4: and was just like, fuck this movie, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 10:41Speaker 4: And I was like, oh, I've got to see it now.
- 10:42Speaker 4: I've got to see how horrible it is.
- 10:44Speaker 6: It's got to be better than Origins because Origins was horrible.
- 10:46Speaker 6: I absolutely hated that movie.
- 10:47Speaker 4: But it really wasn't that bad. I mean, the Wolverine,
- 10:51Speaker 4: I actually kind of liked. Like I said, up until
- 10:53Speaker 4: the point of the Silver Star.
- 10:55Speaker 6: Overall, which would you say you liked better, the Wolverine
- 10:58Speaker 6: or the origins of Wolverine?
- 11:00Speaker 4: Oh, definitely Wolverine. I didn't care for the origins at all.
- 11:03Speaker 6: The origins were horrible. It was absolutely retarded.
- 11:06Speaker 4: You know, and I get confused. Like, they've rewritten so
- 11:10Speaker 4: many things with the comic book. And then they try
- 11:13Speaker 4: to do the movie, and then they're like, hey, let's
- 11:15Speaker 4: do this. And then you're just like, wait a minute,
- 11:17Speaker 4: you know? It's like, I'm going to tell you one thing.
- 11:19Speaker 4: I've never been a fan of the bone claws Wolverine.
- 11:22Speaker 4: That's your favorite. When they did that in the comic book,
- 11:25Speaker 4: I thought this is the stupidest fucking thing I've ever seen.
- 11:28Speaker 4: He's got bone claws?
- 11:30Speaker 5: Really?
- 11:30Speaker 4: And then they're always breaking. What's the use of that?
- 11:34Speaker 4: Who fucking cares about bone claws?
- 11:36Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 11:37Speaker 4: You know? And then they had to put it in
- 11:39Speaker 4: the origins like he's a little kid and he's got
- 11:41Speaker 4: bone claws. Well, that's just stupid.
- 11:43Speaker 6: That's just silly.
- 11:44Speaker 4: That's silliness. Nobody liked that.
- 11:47Speaker 5: There's a lot of ridiculous stuff. Again, I think it's
- 11:50Speaker 5: just like midway in, somebody wants to put their own
- 11:52Speaker 5: stamp on it. They're like, here, I came up with this.
- 11:54Speaker 5: Let's do this. So that's probably true in the comics,
- 11:57Speaker 5: but it's definitely true in the movies as they go on.
- 11:59Speaker 4: But in the Wolverine... Am I to understand that inside
- 12:04Speaker 4: of his regular adamantium claws are bones?
- 12:08Speaker 5: That's what I thought.
- 12:09Speaker 7: It's been a while.
- 12:09Speaker 6: I'm thinking that now.
- 12:10Speaker 4: No, you see the part where he cuts the claws,
- 12:13Speaker 4: and then they're kind of hollow, and then he sticks
- 12:15Speaker 4: these little drills, and they're going inside the claws, and
- 12:17Speaker 4: I'm guessing he's, like, sucking his marrow.
- 12:22Speaker 5: Wolverine marrow.
- 12:23Speaker 3: Wolverine DNA.
- 12:23Speaker 6: He sucked all the adamantium out of him.
- 12:25Speaker 4: Is that what it is? No, he was sucking his
- 12:28Speaker 4: healing factor out of him.
- 12:29Speaker 6: He sucked the life.
- 12:31Speaker 4: He definitely sucked, I'll tell you that. And then all
- 12:34Speaker 4: of a sudden, he gets rid of his claws, and
- 12:35Speaker 4: then he's back to having bone claws.
- 12:37Speaker 6: Of course he would have the adamantium around the bone claws,
- 12:41Speaker 6: because when they injected him, it coated all of them.
- 12:44Speaker 4: But it's still stupid.
- 12:45Speaker 6: I know it's stupid, but I'm saying, of course he
- 12:47Speaker 6: would have bone claws inside of the adamantium. According to
- 12:51Speaker 6: the origins, he already had the bone claws.
- 12:53Speaker 5: I don't like the origins.
- 12:54Speaker 6: It only makes sense. I didn't ask if you liked it.
- 12:56Speaker 6: I'm telling you, according to the origin movie, he already
- 12:59Speaker 6: had the bone claws. So, yes, when they adamantium-ized his
- 13:02Speaker 6: whole body, yes, the bone claws would have been covered
- 13:06Speaker 6: in adamantium.
- 13:07Speaker 4: Who wrote this shite?
- 13:08Speaker 6: It wasn't me. I didn't think it made sense. I'm
- 13:10Speaker 6: just saying.
- 13:11Speaker 5: It's like, why would you need the bone claws? Like,
- 13:13Speaker 5: when you already set up the other story, it's like
- 13:15Speaker 5: it doesn't make sense.
- 13:17Speaker 4: It's like, oh, we got rid of his regular claws. Well,
- 13:19Speaker 4: we've got to give him some kind of claws, so
- 13:21Speaker 4: we'll just give him some bone claws.
- 13:23Speaker 5: That was the only thing, like, that they changed going
- 13:26Speaker 5: into that first, the Sam Raimi Spider-Man that I actually
- 13:30Speaker 5: agreed with. I always thought it was stupid that he
- 13:32Speaker 5: had all these spider powers and didn't have web shooting ability.
- 13:36Speaker 5: I'm like, isn't that a pretty basic spider power? Like,
- 13:39Speaker 5: I always thought, so they made it actually, like, organic
- 13:42Speaker 5: when they did the Sam Raimi one, which made sense
- 13:44Speaker 5: to me. But, like, then they went back. They scrapped
- 13:46Speaker 5: that when they did the reboots.
- 13:47Speaker 3: I'm like.
- 13:47Speaker 4: Oh, I haven't seen the reboot.
- 13:48Speaker 5: Yeah, they went back to web shooters. I'm like, well, that.
- 13:51Speaker 5: That was the one part that always felt weird. I
- 13:53Speaker 5: was like, why does he need to make... Yeah, why
- 13:55Speaker 5: are you Spider-Man if you can't shoot webs?
- 13:57Speaker 4: That's the... Yeah, when they remade that, I was actually like,
- 14:00Speaker 4: that's kind of cool. I don't have a problem with that.
- 14:02Speaker 6: Is he going to start shooting spider webs out of
- 14:04Speaker 6: his butt?
- 14:04Speaker 4: See, that would make it more accurate, actually.
- 14:07Speaker 5: But I can live with the.
- 14:09Speaker 4: He's got spinnerets in his butt cheeks.
- 14:11Speaker 6: Right there in the butt cheeks.
- 14:12Speaker 3: Or.
- 14:14Speaker 5: well-rounded decision to put him in the risks.
- 14:16Speaker 4: But still, you know. He's got the assless Spider-Man chaps.
- 14:21Speaker 6: Flying backwards.
- 14:22Speaker 5: I bet that would cut down on crime.
- 14:25Speaker 6: He's flying like Powder Toast Man and shit.
- 14:28Speaker 5: That would cut down on crime, though. Would you want
- 14:29Speaker 5: to commit crimes in that city?
- 14:31Speaker 7: No.
- 14:31Speaker 1: You're like, never mind.
- 14:32Speaker 5: I do not want that ass pointed at me. Never mind.
- 14:34Speaker 1: I'm out of here.
- 14:36Speaker 6: Good times. All right, let's discuss the more important thing
- 14:40Speaker 6: of the Wolverine.
- 14:41Speaker 4: What was that?
- 14:41Speaker 6: How fucking stupid could his hair get in this movie?
- 14:43Speaker 6: I swear to God.
- 14:44Speaker 4: Yeah, it's like, let's make it look less Wolverine and
- 14:48Speaker 4: more like a guy that slipped on the wrong side
- 14:51Speaker 4: of his pillar. What did you say? He looked like
- 14:52Speaker 4: he'd been wearing a stupid hat?
- 14:54Speaker 6: Yeah, he had a stupid hat head. They didn't want
- 14:58Speaker 6: to get rid of it totally, but they wanted to
- 14:59Speaker 6: have a little hint of the hair.
- 15:01Speaker 4: What really happened was Sabretooth grabbed him in a headlock
- 15:04Speaker 4: and gave him a noogie right on the sides. He's
- 15:08Speaker 4: got side noogies.
- 15:09Speaker 5: Because he's so hardcore, he has permanent noogie hair.
- 15:12Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 15:13Speaker 6: Let's talk about how weird that one chick's face was.
- 15:16Speaker 4: Weird, but I liked her out of all the other
- 15:19Speaker 4: ones in the movie.
- 15:19Speaker 6: She looked alien.
- 15:20Speaker 5: She did, but she was cool looking.
- 15:22Speaker 4: The sidekick girl?
- 15:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:23Speaker 5: I liked the sidekick girl. That was one of my
- 15:24Speaker 5: favorite parts.
- 15:25Speaker 6: I liked her, but she was weird looking.
- 15:25Speaker 5: Yeah, but she kind of looked like an anime character.
- 15:28Speaker 3: She did.
- 15:28Speaker 5: I was like, this kind of fits for this story.
- 15:31Speaker 5: It was fun.
- 15:32Speaker 6: I didn't say I disliked her, because she had the
- 15:33Speaker 6: cutest little outfits.
- 15:34Speaker 7: She's adorable.
- 15:35Speaker 6: But yeah, her face was so weird.
- 15:36Speaker 4: Her face was very strange.
- 15:37Speaker 2: It was very odd.
- 15:38Speaker 5: It was oddly shaped, but kind of adorably oddly shaped.
- 15:40Speaker 4: It was oddly fascinating at the same time.
- 15:42Speaker 6: Her hair was fantastic.
- 15:44Speaker 5: She kind of looked like she could have been in
- 15:45Speaker 5: a comic book, so I'm okay with her.
- 15:47Speaker 4: And I like that she didn't die, because I was like, oh,
- 15:50Speaker 4: she's going to die.
- 15:51Speaker 3: I know.
- 15:51Speaker 5: That's what I was afraid of.
- 15:51Speaker 4: That's going to suck, because I actually like her. I
- 15:53Speaker 4: don't want her to die. And she didn't die, and
- 15:54Speaker 4: I was surprised she didn't die.
- 15:56Speaker 5: I was too.
- 15:57Speaker 7: You know?
- 15:57Speaker 5: I was like, kill the girlfriend. Keep her. I like her.
- 16:00Speaker 5: He needs to be tortured. Kill the girlfriend, so he
- 16:02Speaker 5: can be like, why? And then like, you know. He
- 16:05Speaker 5: can go have fun adventures with the sidekick girl.
- 16:07Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:07Speaker 5: That he probably really needs to hook.
- 16:09Speaker 7: Up with anyway.
- 16:09Speaker 5: Because they at least have stuff in common. They like
- 16:11Speaker 5: kicking ass.
- 16:12Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 16:14Speaker 6: All right. What else did we watch? We talked a
- 16:16Speaker 6: lot about that one. We watched The World's End.
- 16:18Speaker 4: At The World's End?
- 16:19Speaker 6: At The World's End.
- 16:20Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:21Speaker 4: Like that.
- 16:22Speaker 6: That was pretty exciting.
- 16:23Speaker 4: That was a good movie. I actually did like that.
- 16:25Speaker 2: One a lot.
- 16:25Speaker 6: Because I didn't like Hot Foe. So I was kind
- 16:26Speaker 6: of leery going into this one. I mean, I really
- 16:29Speaker 6: like Shaun of the Dead. And then there was Hot Fuzz.
- 16:31Speaker 6: Isn't it just like a.
- 16:33Speaker 5: It's the trilogy.
- 16:33Speaker 6: Yeah, it's the trilogy.
- 16:34Speaker 5: The ice cream trilogy.
- 16:35Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 16:36Speaker 6: But anyway, it's like I really liked Shroud of the
- 16:37Speaker 6: Debs and I really didn't like Hot Fuzz. So I'm like,
- 16:39Speaker 6: I don't know where to go with this one. But
- 16:41Speaker 6: then I'm like, we're going to watch it. And it was...
- 16:44Speaker 6: Some parts of it were kind of hard to watch
- 16:46Speaker 6: because that guy was like, I don't like things when
- 16:47Speaker 6: they're awkward. There's a lot of awkward in this. Like,
- 16:53Speaker 6: you know, I can't watch The Office.
- 16:55Speaker 7: No, no, no.
- 16:56Speaker 4: I mean, what part of the movie did you find awkward?
- 16:58Speaker 6: Like, Simon Pegg's character and his whole refusal to let
- 17:02Speaker 6: go and just he's like the exact same person that
- 17:04Speaker 6: he was.
- 17:04Speaker 4: I can kind of see that, though.
- 17:06Speaker 5: That's kind of the best part.
- 17:08Speaker 4: What do you think? I got depressed for like a
- 17:10Speaker 4: week after we watched that movie.
- 17:12Speaker 5: You were like, that's a cool outfit. I'm going to
- 17:14Speaker 5: go around like, oh, wait, I'm that guy.
- 17:16Speaker 4: Yeah, no, because I was like, okay, their whole thing
- 17:19Speaker 4: was they were all friends. And it was the late 80s,
- 17:24Speaker 4: early 90s when they graduated. And you listened to Sisters
- 17:27Speaker 4: of Mercy. And I was like, I used to listen
- 17:29Speaker 4: to Sisters of Mercy. And that's the exact same time
- 17:32Speaker 4: frame of when I graduated. But I could never go
- 17:35Speaker 4: back and recapture all that because all my friends are
- 17:37Speaker 4: dead from high school. So I guess.
- 17:40Speaker 6: That kind of sucks. All right, Debbie Downer.
- 17:41Speaker 4: Yeah, I was sitting there going, damn, they're all gone.
- 17:44Speaker 4: That sucks.
- 17:46Speaker 5: Well, you didn't want to go drinking anyway.
- 17:48Speaker 4: Well, yeah, I don't drink now.
- 17:50Speaker 2: But.
- 17:50Speaker 4: You know, you never can go back and see where
- 17:52Speaker 4: they are. I mean, I know where they are.
- 17:54Speaker 5: I was kind of in that same boat. I got
- 17:56Speaker 5: so excited when the soup dragons came on.
- 17:57Speaker 6: It's like, yes, I have that CD.
- 18:00Speaker 5: Oh, I'm that guy.
- 18:01Speaker 1: Damn.
- 18:02Speaker 2: Damn.
- 18:03Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, I like them. I mean, like I said,
- 18:05Speaker 6: it's just awkward for me. It's awkward when there are
- 18:07Speaker 6: certain characters and you just feel bad for them. You feel, like,
- 18:10Speaker 6: embarrassed for them sometimes, you know? And it's like, that
- 18:13Speaker 6: makes me feel uncomfortable. But, I mean, I really like
- 18:14Speaker 6: the movie and I really like the characters and I really...
- 18:17Speaker 6: Something about Martin Freeman. Martin Freeman. He's so funny. I
- 18:20Speaker 6: love Martin Freeman.
- 18:22Speaker 5: I do. It was a good cast.
- 18:24Speaker 6: Not in that way.
- 18:26Speaker 5: Not in the way you usually like the.
- 18:27Speaker 7: Guys you talk about on the show.
- 18:28Speaker 4: I like the movie, though. Like I said, I could
- 18:30Speaker 4: identify with the Simon Pegg character more than anybody else
- 18:33Speaker 4: because everybody that's my age that I didn't go to
- 18:37Speaker 4: high school with. But a lot of my friends that
- 18:39Speaker 4: are older are all older, and they all work. office
- 18:46Speaker 4: jobs and stuff like that and i'm still running around
- 18:50Speaker 4: setting my co-workers on fire and collecting toys and being
- 18:57Speaker 4: reckless and and you know listening to the same music
- 19:01Speaker 4: and stuff like that yeah yeah you know i was
- 19:04Speaker 4: like after after that i broke out the the sisters
- 19:08Speaker 4: of mercy and tortured everybody at work with it and
- 19:10Speaker 4: they're like what the hell are you listening to you
- 19:12Speaker 4: know this isn't freebird You know?
- 19:15Speaker 6: This isn't Creed.
- 19:17Speaker 4: This isn't Creed. This isn't Godsmack.
- 19:19Speaker 6: Nickelback.
- 19:20Speaker 4: Nickelback.
- 19:22Speaker 5: There's a reason it's none of those things.
- 19:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:24Speaker 4: All the guys at my work like Nickelback.
- 19:25Speaker 7: Oh, Jesus. Kill them all.
- 19:27Speaker 5: Please set them on fire.
- 19:28Speaker 4: Please.
- 19:29Speaker 6: Please. More better.
- 19:30Speaker 5: I did. I have to say, I didn't expect to go.
- 19:33Speaker 5: I'm like, I always liked those three, like, you know,
- 19:37Speaker 5: Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, and then that director has
- 19:40Speaker 5: proven himself as, like, an amazing director, so I'm just
- 19:42Speaker 5: kind of like, I went in, I guess, expecting a
- 19:44Speaker 5: little bit, but I was kind of like, I kind
- 19:47Speaker 5: of knew where it was going as far as the, the,
- 19:50Speaker 5: sci-fi plot and I'd heard the same thing and I
- 19:52Speaker 5: was like you get about halfway in you're like oh
- 19:54Speaker 5: yeah that's right Cause it's so damn good. Like that
- 19:57Speaker 5: whole buildup of the first half of the movie when
- 19:59Speaker 5: it's not really sci-fi yet. No. It's so well written
- 20:02Speaker 5: that like, they're like going through that situation and their
- 20:06Speaker 5: relationship and this whole thing, the whole setup is so
- 20:08Speaker 5: damn good.
- 20:09Speaker 4: That could have just been the movie.
- 20:10Speaker 5: It could have just been the movie. And then like, but,
- 20:12Speaker 5: but that's the thing I realized like, as you go
- 20:15Speaker 5: into it, it's like they build on that. And what,
- 20:18Speaker 5: becomes the rest of the movie is still like so
- 20:21Speaker 5: rooted in what they set up it's not they it's
- 20:23Speaker 5: not like they slapped two movies together it's like it
- 20:25Speaker 5: really was a story arc and by the end you
- 20:28Speaker 5: start to see everybody like everything that was an issue
- 20:31Speaker 5: within the first half starts to get worked out and
- 20:33Speaker 5: you start to see the characters that needed to kind
- 20:35Speaker 5: of grow start to grow a little bit and like
- 20:37Speaker 5: it really was well put together in a way that
- 20:40Speaker 5: i didn't think it was gonna be so i i
- 20:43Speaker 5: I just made a list for Wild and Wild. I
- 20:45Speaker 5: wanted to do their top five movies, and I hadn't
- 20:48Speaker 5: seen a ton of stuff from 2013, but that one
- 20:50Speaker 5: went on one of my top five movies because I
- 20:53Speaker 5: was amazed with how well it was put together.
- 20:55Speaker 4: I love the fact, too, towards the end, he quotes
- 20:59Speaker 4: Peter Fonda from, is it Devil's Angels or Wild Angels?
- 21:04Speaker 7: Wild Angels.
- 21:04Speaker 4: Wild Angels. They're asking him what he wants, and he goes,
- 21:08Speaker 4: we want to be free to do what we want
- 21:11Speaker 4: to do.
- 21:13Speaker 5: That's that's the thing.
- 21:14Speaker 8: I do love that speech that he's giving at the
- 21:16Speaker 8: end that he's just like that whole little quote about
- 21:18Speaker 8: us about us being so belligerent yeah kind of just
- 21:22Speaker 8: like you know it's true you're not gonna conquer us
- 21:24Speaker 8: because we're too dumb for you to conquer like we
- 21:26Speaker 8: are too set in our dumb earthways.
- 21:28Speaker 5: To to understand that you're offering something better we don't
- 21:32Speaker 5: care we're earthlings we're dumb we don't care a.
- 21:34Speaker 4: Lot of it just has to do with just rebellion
- 21:37Speaker 4: yeah i mean I do it all the time, just
- 21:39Speaker 4: silly-ass shit.
- 21:41Speaker 5: Yeah, I know.
- 21:42Speaker 4: Like the other day at work, we got that call
- 21:46Speaker 4: for snow. So what does everybody do? Everybody runs outside,
- 21:49Speaker 4: and they point their windshield wipers up in the air
- 21:51Speaker 4: so they don't have to. And, of course, fuck them.
- 21:54Speaker 4: I'm not going to go point my fucking windshield wipers
- 21:56Speaker 4: up in the air. They come in, Jay, you better
- 21:58Speaker 4: put your windshield wipers up. It's going to snow. And
- 22:00Speaker 4: I was like, I don't fucking care. Are you going
- 22:02Speaker 4: to be shoveling snow off your windows? I was like,
- 22:04Speaker 4: like I fucking care. Fuck you guys. Fucking leave me alone.
- 22:08Speaker 4: I'm not pointing my fucking windshield wipers up in the air.
- 22:10Speaker 4: I'll scrape fucking goddamn snow. Fuck you guys.
- 22:12Speaker 6: You're a fucking rebel.
- 22:13Speaker 4: I don't care. But it's always been a problem like that.
- 22:16Speaker 4: Anytime anybody's like, hey, let's do this, then I'm like,
- 22:19Speaker 4: fuck you. I'm not going to do that.
- 22:21Speaker 6: It's a fucking constant battle, dude.
- 22:24Speaker 4: It is. I don't know what my problem is.
- 22:27Speaker 2: What is it?
- 22:27Speaker 4: The oppositional defiance disorder or something like that?
- 22:30Speaker 6: It's the pissing off your girlfriend disorder is what it is.
- 22:33Speaker 6: You're going to get an elbow to the face one
- 22:35Speaker 6: of these days.
- 22:36Speaker 4: I can't help it.
- 22:38Speaker 6: You're going to be able to one of these days.
- 22:39Speaker 6: You're going to be digging my foot out of your ass.
- 22:42Speaker 5: You'll never ever be any good.
- 22:45Speaker 6: What else did we watch? We watched, oh my god,
- 22:48Speaker 6: it felt like a week and a half of watching it.
- 22:51Speaker 6: We watched The Hobbit.
- 22:53Speaker 2: The Hobbit?
- 22:53Speaker 4: Oh yeah.
- 22:54Speaker 6: The unexpected 58 hour journey.
- 22:59Speaker 2: It went nowhere.
- 23:01Speaker 6: It went to too far away. The fucking birds dropped
- 23:05Speaker 6: them off like eight days away from our journey.
- 23:08Speaker 4: You're getting way too ahead of yourself. Yeah, that was
- 23:12Speaker 4: a really long.
- 23:14Speaker 6: And a lot of shit happened that didn't make any difference.
- 23:16Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know. I didn't read The Hobbit. I
- 23:19Speaker 4: never read the books. I never really got into it.
- 23:21Speaker 4: And I know that's probably blasphemy to a lot of people.
- 23:24Speaker 4: Because I got a lot of friends that are like,
- 23:25Speaker 4: You didn't read The Hobbit? What the hell is wrong
- 23:27Speaker 4: with you? And I was like, I'm sorry. I just
- 23:29Speaker 4: didn't get into it.
- 23:30Speaker 6: You didn't have enough pictures.
- 23:31Speaker 4: I didn't have enough machine guns.
- 23:33Speaker 5: It didn't happen when I was young either. I didn't
- 23:35Speaker 5: want to read then either. That's why I was watching
- 23:37Speaker 5: movies all the damn time.
- 23:38Speaker 4: Well, I read some stuff. It's just I didn't. I
- 23:41Speaker 4: just didn't read it. I don't know why I didn't
- 23:43Speaker 4: read it.
- 23:44Speaker 5: I have the books.
- 23:45Speaker 4: I might have liked it if I had read it,
- 23:46Speaker 4: but I mean, I didn't have the books.
- 23:48Speaker 5: They gave me a set for Christmas, and I think
- 23:50Speaker 5: I got about halfway into The Hobbit, which is the
- 23:52Speaker 5: kiddie book that's easy to read, and I was just like, eh, whatever.
- 23:55Speaker 5: I like the animated one. I'm going to go watch that.
- 23:57Speaker 5: Because I really did like the end.
- 23:58Speaker 6: It's like even with Martin, Martin Freeman couldn't save this
- 24:01Speaker 6: one for me. He was such a whiny.
- 24:02Speaker 5: Bitch in this movie.
- 24:03Speaker 6: No, he couldn't.
- 24:04Speaker 5: He's a tough kid.
- 24:05Speaker 4: I think Misty lost it at the point where he
- 24:08Speaker 4: decided to go and turn around and go back home
- 24:10Speaker 4: because what was it?
- 24:11Speaker 6: He forgot his handkerchief.
- 24:12Speaker 4: He forgot his freaking handkerchief.
- 24:14Speaker 6: I'm like, are you fucking serious?
- 24:15Speaker 5: Little fucker.
- 24:16Speaker 6: Little fucker wants to go back home because he forgot
- 24:19Speaker 6: his handkerchief. Fuck you. You're all dead to me. There
- 24:23Speaker 6: was no hot guys in this movie that I remember.
- 24:26Speaker 5: The deaf dude. You just can't see he's a hunk.
- 24:29Speaker 6: I know. The necromancer?
- 24:31Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 24:31Speaker 6: You can't see him. You can't hear him. He kind
- 24:34Speaker 6: of laughs. I'm like, you motherfucker. He's even in the credits.
- 24:37Speaker 6: Why are you going to put Benedict Cumberbatch in your credits?
- 24:40Speaker 4: I thought he was supposed to be the voice of
- 24:41Speaker 4: the dragon. He is.
- 24:42Speaker 6: He is.
- 24:42Speaker 4: But then he's also the Necromancer?
- 24:44Speaker 6: He is the Necromancer.
- 24:45Speaker 5: They wanted to get their money's worth on him.
- 24:47Speaker 4: Oh, okay.
- 24:48Speaker 5: Because everybody loves him.
- 24:48Speaker 4: Well, I was having a discussion at work the other day,
- 24:51Speaker 4: and somebody was like, he's the dragon. And I was like,
- 24:54Speaker 4: but I thought he's the Necromancer.
- 24:55Speaker 1: He's the dragon.
- 24:56Speaker 4: And I was like, well, why would you put his name?
- 25:01Speaker 4: Wouldn't you just put it, and the voice of the dragon,
- 25:04Speaker 4: Benedict Cumberbatch, and.
- 25:07Speaker 6: You said his name right.
- 25:08Speaker 3: I did.
- 25:08Speaker 4: I had to think it right. I had to really concentrate.
- 25:11Speaker 6: He's been Benjamin for years.
- 25:13Speaker 4: Benjamin. Benjamin Cumberbatch.
- 25:14Speaker 5: Benjamin Cumber... Cumberbun. Cumber something or other.
- 25:17Speaker 6: Cumberbitch.
- 25:18Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 25:19Speaker 7: But.
- 25:20Speaker 4: Yeah. And I was like, I could have sworn he's
- 25:23Speaker 4: supposed to be the Necromancer. Girlfriend said he was the
- 25:25Speaker 4: Necromancer and she's usually right.
- 25:27Speaker 5: She knows everything.
- 25:28Speaker 4: She knows everything.
- 25:29Speaker 6: I do know most things.
- 25:31Speaker 2: Yeah, you do.
- 25:32Speaker 6: But that movie was too long.
- 25:33Speaker 5: I'm just like, Imagine that, a Peter Jackson movie that's
- 25:36Speaker 5: way too long.
- 25:37Speaker 4: It was.
- 25:40Speaker 6: Stupid shit happened.
- 25:41Speaker 4: Well, yeah, I mean, come on. They fall into so
- 25:43Speaker 4: much fucking peril. You've got to be kidding me. I
- 25:46Speaker 4: understand it's Middle Earth and shit, or wherever it is.
- 25:49Speaker 5: I believe Middle Earth.
- 25:51Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, really? I mean, geez, you're hiking up a mountain,
- 25:55Speaker 4: and all of a sudden they turn into giant fighting mountains,
- 25:58Speaker 4: and then you fall into the hole, and then you're
- 26:01Speaker 4: in the middle of a bunch of.
- 26:03Speaker 2: Orcs?
- 26:04Speaker 4: Were they orcs?
- 26:05Speaker 6: They weren't orcs.
- 26:05Speaker 7: Were they orcs?
- 26:06Speaker 6: Yeah, they might have. I don't remember. They might have
- 26:08Speaker 6: been orcs.
- 26:08Speaker 4: Were they trolls? Maybe they were still orcs.
- 26:10Speaker 6: That one guy with the big nutsack chin, I didn't
- 26:13Speaker 6: like him.
- 26:13Speaker 4: The nutsack chin.
- 26:15Speaker 6: The main king guy.
- 26:16Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, that guy. Yeah, you did say that guy.
- 26:19Speaker 4: The guy's scrotum face.
- 26:21Speaker 5: His name's Peter Griffin.
- 26:23Speaker 6: This was worse, dude. It was nasty and a little
- 26:25Speaker 6: bit hairy, and I didn't like it. I didn't like
- 26:26Speaker 6: it one bit.
- 26:27Speaker 4: That was a lot of stuff happening, and I was like, man.
- 26:29Speaker 6: Yeah, the fighting rock mountains, that's where I'm just like, Really?
- 26:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:35Speaker 6: Fighting Rock Mountains. What? Yeah, no. Wasn't working for me
- 26:39Speaker 6: one bit. It's too much. Yeah, I didn't like it.
- 26:41Speaker 4: It was almost like it was thrown in because they
- 26:43Speaker 4: were like, hey, we know you guys are going to
- 26:45Speaker 4: get really bored, so we're going to throw these mountains
- 26:47Speaker 4: in here that are fighting.
- 26:48Speaker 6: But it became too exhausting to the point where I'm like, oh,
- 26:50Speaker 6: there's so many things happening that I'm just numb to it.
- 26:53Speaker 5: Yeah. That also happens when you decide to take one
- 26:56Speaker 5: normal length book and stretch it out into three ridiculously
- 27:01Speaker 5: long movies. Like, you've got to keep adding stuff in there.
- 27:04Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what my friend was saying. He was saying
- 27:05Speaker 4: that it took a really simple book that was very
- 27:11Speaker 4: nice and light and they took it and turned it
- 27:15Speaker 4: into a dark series too close to Lord of the
- 27:20Speaker 4: Rings and he said The Hobbit wasn't supposed to be
- 27:22Speaker 4: Lord of the Rings. It was supposed to be The Hobbit.
- 27:23Speaker 6: But Lord of the Rings did good so we must
- 27:25Speaker 6: copy that in the exact same way.
- 27:27Speaker 5: Pretty much. And you can make a lot more money
- 27:29Speaker 5: off three movies instead of just one movie.
- 27:31Speaker 4: And basically this was like watching Lord of the Rings without.
- 27:35Speaker 6: Legolas.
- 27:36Speaker 7: Legolas.
- 27:36Speaker 5: Wait till the next movie.
- 27:37Speaker 4: Legolas and the ranger guy and.
- 27:42Speaker 6: Argon. What's Argon?
- 27:43Speaker 2: Argon.
- 27:43Speaker 6: Is he still alive?
- 27:44Speaker 4: I don't know. Aragorn. Aragorn. Argon's a gas.
- 27:49Speaker 6: I know Sean Bean's character is not going to be
- 27:51Speaker 6: in it because I'm sure he died in one of
- 27:53Speaker 6: those other movies because fucker always dies. And I'm sure
- 27:56Speaker 6: I said his name wrong.
- 27:56Speaker 2: Technically.
- 27:59Speaker 5: So I don't think any of them can.
- 28:00Speaker 6: He'll find a way to be dead.
- 28:02Speaker 5: Well, Legolas can be around.
- 28:03Speaker 4: Is Conan going to be in this one?
- 28:05Speaker 5: He's an elf. They're really, really old.
- 28:06Speaker 2: No Conans?
- 28:08Speaker 5: He's like Red Sonja.
- 28:09Speaker 4: Is Red Sonja going to.
- 28:11Speaker 5: Be in this? Only the people that live really long.
- 28:14Speaker 5: He's got like the Chewbacca out. He's like, oh, they
- 28:17Speaker 5: live hundreds of years, so he can be in all
- 28:18Speaker 5: the movies. That's why I'm like, wait, why did we
- 28:21Speaker 5: put him in the movie? Oh, because everybody likes him.
- 28:23Speaker 5: And we claim that he's hundreds of years old. Okay,
- 28:25Speaker 5: that's cool. So they're doing that with the elves.
- 28:27Speaker 2: Whatever.
- 28:29Speaker 6: We watched a lot of other movies, but we can
- 28:31Speaker 6: kind of lump them into two categories. We watched the
- 28:33Speaker 6: Michael Fassbender movies and the Tom Hiddleston movies.
- 28:36Speaker 5: I wonder why.
- 28:38Speaker 4: What Fassbender movies did we watch?
- 28:39Speaker 6: Okay, we watched Jonah Hex. Jonah Hex. Wasn't bad.
- 28:45Speaker 4: It was okay. It was pretty good. I never read
- 28:47Speaker 4: the comic books, so I didn't have that. against it
- 28:51Speaker 4: to sit there and go fuck this movie it messes
- 28:54Speaker 4: up it doesn't go with the comic book any of
- 28:56Speaker 4: that stuff.
- 28:56Speaker 6: I had fun it was ridiculous I liked it aside
- 28:59Speaker 6: from Toe Thumbs Toe Thumbs yeah we also watched 300
- 29:03Speaker 6: we watched Centurion again we watched 300 again again it
- 29:07Speaker 6: seems like we watched something else because it had Michael
- 29:09Speaker 6: Fassbender in it and I'm like.
- 29:10Speaker 4: I like 300, though. 300 makes me want to run
- 29:12Speaker 4: outside and set stuff on fire.
- 29:14Speaker 6: Everything makes you want to run outside.
- 29:17Speaker 5: That is a theme, it seems to me. I remember
- 29:20Speaker 5: you said you watched Blood Creek again.
- 29:21Speaker 6: We watched Blood Creek again.
- 29:22Speaker 4: We watched Blood Creek again, yeah. I still like that.
- 29:24Speaker 6: I liked it more this time, I think, even though
- 29:26Speaker 6: Michael Fassbender was not beautiful in a good portion of it. Like,
- 29:29Speaker 6: the first part, when he's all, like, in Germany, in.
- 29:33Speaker 4: Basement, and, like, kind of hot. When he's young Nazi?
- 29:36Speaker 6: Yeah, when he's not, like, weird blood burnt face yeah
- 29:40Speaker 6: burnt face is not evil ash nazi yeah that part
- 29:42Speaker 6: was not.
- 29:43Speaker 4: What was the other uh tom hiddleston movies that.
- 29:47Speaker 6: We watched well we watched it's like we had rewatched
- 29:51Speaker 6: I haven't been here since we watched the Thor and
- 29:53Speaker 6: the Avengers movies and all that things.
- 29:56Speaker 5: She's gotten into a new little obsession if you guys
- 30:00Speaker 5: haven't caught her.
- 30:00Speaker 4: Yeah, because Misty never gets obsessed over stuff.
- 30:03Speaker 6: Never.
- 30:04Speaker 5: Especially hot dudes.
- 30:05Speaker 6: Dude, for serious. I didn't even see this one coming.
- 30:07Speaker 5: I didn't either, actually.
- 30:09Speaker 6: But then I'm like, oh my god.
- 30:10Speaker 5: I'm still kind of in shock over this.
- 30:13Speaker 6: Me too. I don't even get it, but I do.
- 30:15Speaker 6: I've been watching Wallander. I don't even know if I'm
- 30:20Speaker 6: probably saying that wrong.
- 30:21Speaker 5: Wallander?
- 30:21Speaker 4: Wallander?
- 30:23Speaker 6: It's on the Netflix. It's a TV show starring Kenneth Branagh? Branagh?
- 30:28Speaker 5: Branagh.
- 30:29Speaker 6: Whatever the fuck his name is, he apparently is a star.
- 30:33Speaker 5: He seems to think he is.
- 30:34Speaker 6: No, it's a really good show. I really like it.
- 30:37Speaker 6: I enjoy it immensely. I would highly suggest watching what
- 30:41Speaker 6: I've been watching.
- 30:42Speaker 4: I might sit down and watch it sometime.
- 30:43Speaker 5: You should. It's awesome.
- 30:44Speaker 4: I'm going to someday.
- 30:46Speaker 6: Although it's very strange. Because Tom Hiddleston, he's all like,
- 30:50Speaker 6: blonde and it's curly it's.
- 30:53Speaker 5: So not loki yeah it's not it's hard to picture.
- 30:57Speaker 6: Him it's in his natural state oh no i know
- 31:01Speaker 6: he's all like goofy and a little weaselly like more
- 31:03Speaker 6: so than he is when he's a loki because sometimes
- 31:04Speaker 6: he can be kind of he's pretty weaselly but he's
- 31:07Speaker 6: kind of like sometimes you just want to punch him.
- 31:10Speaker 5: A lot of the time you just want it a
- 31:11Speaker 5: hot way huh you just want to hulk him yeah
- 31:15Speaker 5: i love that part of the movie it's awesome.
- 31:19Speaker 6: We watched The Centurion, which was back to the Michael Fassbender.
- 31:21Speaker 6: We mentioned it briefly.
- 31:22Speaker 4: I liked The Centurion.
- 31:23Speaker 5: I really liked that.
- 31:24Speaker 4: A lot of running in that movie.
- 31:25Speaker 6: He runs around shirtless a lot.
- 31:27Speaker 10: In that movie.
- 31:27Speaker 6: In the cold.
- 31:29Speaker 4: I wonder who would win a race in the running race.
- 31:31Speaker 4: Him or that other chick that you like.
- 31:36Speaker 6: Amber Heard.
- 31:36Speaker 4: Amber Heard. You just have a movie of them running.
- 31:38Speaker 6: I don't know. She runs, like, a lot, like, as
- 31:40Speaker 6: what she likes to do. But he's just doing it as, like.
- 31:43Speaker 6: So then he needs to do. So hers is more
- 31:45Speaker 6: like something she's trained at. His is something that's like, oh,
- 31:47Speaker 6: my God, I'm going to die.
- 31:48Speaker 5: Does she also do it shirtless?
- 31:51Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 31:51Speaker 5: Because I'd be on board with that.
- 31:53Speaker 6: I think I would, too. Who wouldn't? I'm not gay,
- 31:55Speaker 6: but for Amber Heard, I think I kind of am.
- 31:57Speaker 5: She's damned attractive.
- 31:58Speaker 7: I'm sorry.
- 31:59Speaker 5: She is.
- 32:00Speaker 6: I don't even. She switched sides, and now she's with
- 32:04Speaker 6: Johnny Depp, and it's not even right.
- 32:06Speaker 5: He was all married and shit.
- 32:07Speaker 2: I know.
- 32:08Speaker 6: But did you see his wife? He dumped his wife.
- 32:10Speaker 6: She was ugly.
- 32:11Speaker 5: Well, I mean, for Amber Heard, I guess, you know.
- 32:12Speaker 6: I mean, seriously. Come on. His ex-wife had funky teeth.
- 32:17Speaker 2: She was French.
- 32:18Speaker 6: She had French teeth.
- 32:20Speaker 7: Oops, I'm sorry.
- 32:22Speaker 5: As if I don't normally blame the ills on the French.
- 32:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 32:25Speaker 5: Sorry, France.
- 32:27Speaker 6: I can't think of anything else.
- 32:28Speaker 4: We watched Inglourious Bastards again.
- 32:30Speaker 6: Michael Fassbender.
- 32:31Speaker 4: We went and re-watched a bunch of movies.
- 32:33Speaker 6: Especially if they had Michael Fassbender in them.
- 32:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 32:36Speaker 6: I think that Prometheus is going to be coming up soon,
- 32:38Speaker 6: even though I didn't like that movie. Yeah.
- 32:41Speaker 4: It was okay.
- 32:41Speaker 6: I'll give it another shot, just for Michael Fassbender.
- 32:44Speaker 5: He's actually really good in it. I had so many
- 32:46Speaker 5: issues with that damn movie, but he's one of the better.
- 32:49Speaker 2: Parts of it.
- 32:49Speaker 4: I don't see it as an Aliens movie, which is
- 32:52Speaker 4: maybe why I enjoyed it.
- 32:52Speaker 6: I don't think it was originally planned that way. I
- 32:54Speaker 6: think they just wanted to slap something onto it, and
- 32:56Speaker 6: that's kind of what they did.
- 32:58Speaker 4: Well, I mean, it's got ties to it, but I
- 33:00Speaker 4: see it as a standalone movie, and I don't try
- 33:03Speaker 4: to connect it to the whole franchise.
- 33:04Speaker 5: It can work that way, but even as a standalone movie,
- 33:07Speaker 5: I have issues with it. It gets worse if I
- 33:09Speaker 5: try to tie it.
- 33:10Speaker 7: To the alien.
- 33:10Speaker 6: My biggest issue with that entire movie is when the
- 33:13Speaker 6: thing is rolling and they are running at no point
- 33:15Speaker 6: do they run sideways. They keep running directly in the
- 33:18Speaker 6: path of the big giant thing.
- 33:20Speaker 4: Yeah, that does kind of, that is kind of annoying. Yeah,
- 33:23Speaker 4: don't get out of the way. Just keep running.
- 33:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 33:27Speaker 5: And to jump ahead because we need to do a
- 33:29Speaker 5: whole episode, but were you not when the scientist wants
- 33:32Speaker 5: to pick up and play with the little slimy snake
- 33:36Speaker 5: thing that just happens upon them?
- 33:37Speaker 12: Like, No.
- 33:39Speaker 5: Were you not just screaming at them? Like, what the
- 33:42Speaker 5: hell is wrong with you?
- 33:43Speaker 6: I scream at most people in movies.
- 33:45Speaker 5: Why would you pick up a weird alien that you
- 33:47Speaker 5: have no idea what it does and hold it next
- 33:49Speaker 5: to your face?
- 33:49Speaker 4: Because you're an idiot. Yeah.
- 33:51Speaker 6: For funsies.
- 33:52Speaker 5: There's so many problems with that. We'll get back to
- 33:55Speaker 5: that later. Somewhere down the line.
- 33:57Speaker 6: I'm sure we watched other things. Mostly just me sitting
- 34:00Speaker 6: and watching GIFs of Tom Hiddleston and Michael Fassbender. Especially
- 34:04Speaker 6: of Tom Hiddleston when he juggles.
- 34:08Speaker 5: Who would have known that, too? You're so weird.
- 34:10Speaker 6: I'm not weird.
- 34:11Speaker 5: You move into new areas of weirddom.
- 34:13Speaker 6: This is not new. I haven't had a thing for
- 34:15Speaker 6: jugglers for quite some time.
- 34:17Speaker 5: I know, but that so doesn't fit you.
- 34:18Speaker 6: This is not a new.
- 34:19Speaker 4: I know. Jugglers, but not magicians. I know.
- 34:21Speaker 6: Magicians are fucking evil. They are the devil's work. But jugglers,
- 34:24Speaker 6: they are fucking... I don't understand. I fucking love jugglers.
- 34:29Speaker 6: I don't get it.
- 34:29Speaker 5: It's very strange.
- 34:30Speaker 6: It's not strange at all.
- 34:31Speaker 5: I mean, you're entitled to. I'm just saying. It's not strange.
- 34:34Speaker 6: It's fascinating.
- 34:34Speaker 5: Except for you.
- 34:35Speaker 6: It's not what I expected. I could sit and watch
- 34:37Speaker 6: that shit for hours. I don't understand.
- 34:39Speaker 5: Magnets, how do they work? It's like that kind of thing.
- 34:43Speaker 5: How's he doing it?
- 34:45Speaker 6: I understand the concept.
- 34:46Speaker 4: They're levitating.
- 34:48Speaker 6: I mean, I know what's happening. It's not like I'm like,
- 34:50Speaker 6: oh my god.
- 34:51Speaker 4: She's awed by that level of dexterity.
- 34:53Speaker 5: I mean, it's impressive and all. It's just... I didn't
- 34:56Speaker 5: see it coming from you.
- 34:57Speaker 6: We sat and watched the jugglers at the fair.
- 34:58Speaker 11: I mean.
- 34:59Speaker 5: That's true.
- 35:00Speaker 6: I sat through the.
- 35:01Speaker 5: But you were just waiting for that girl to pop
- 35:02Speaker 5: out of her little boost game.
- 35:04Speaker 6: That was bound to happen eventually. She probably waited until
- 35:07Speaker 6: after we left and they did their next set. I
- 35:10Speaker 6: don't understand how it's like not even possible for her
- 35:12Speaker 6: to have not popped out of that at some point
- 35:15Speaker 6: during that day.
- 35:16Speaker 5: Duct tape.
- 35:16Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 35:17Speaker 1: That's all I know.
- 35:19Speaker 6: All right.
- 35:20Speaker 5: Well, we've covered a good amount of things that you watched.
- 35:23Speaker 5: I think now we'll take our break here and when
- 35:26Speaker 5: we come back we'll discuss this week's.
- 35:28Speaker 10: Movie Give me the ring, no, no, no, no Give
- 36:14Speaker 10: me the ring, kissed and told Give me something that
- 36:17Speaker 10: I missed Give me the ring, a pencil Wild and
- 36:22Speaker 10: what it seems Give me the.
- 36:24Speaker 4: Ring, kill the king With love is.
- 36:28Speaker 3: The law And the wheel turns round Give me the ring,
- 36:33Speaker 3: forgiving dream Child, do you hear me.
- 36:37Speaker 10: Call Give me the rainbow.
- 36:42Speaker 4: My Spider-Sense is tingling.
- 36:43Speaker 13: Time to start blasting. With the Spider-Man Triple Screen Mega
- 36:46Speaker 13: Blast Web Shooter and Light Up Mask.
- 36:48Speaker 1: Your Spider-Sense will tingle.
- 36:50Speaker 2: It's three times the fun, because.
- 36:51Speaker 1: You're shooting three webs instead of just one.
- 36:53Speaker 13: That's right, three streams of web at the same time.
- 36:56Speaker 13: It's three times the power of Spider-Man in the palm.
- 36:58Speaker 4: Of your hand.
- 36:59Speaker 6: My Spider-Sense is tingling.
- 37:00Speaker 13: You're blasting three webs, blasting one or two. With the
- 37:03Speaker 13: Mega Blast Web Shooter, it's all up to you. The
- 37:05Speaker 13: Spider-Man Mega Blast Web Shooter.
- 37:07Speaker 4: It's a total blast.
- 37:08Speaker 13: The Spider-Man Mega Blast Web Shooter and Light Up Spider-Sense
- 37:10Speaker 13: Mask comes with everything you see here.
- 37:13Speaker 10: It lives 50 feet beneath the streets.
- 37:19Speaker 4: It's 36 feet long.
- 37:21Speaker 10: It weighs over 2,000 pounds.
- 37:25Speaker 2: And it's about to break out.
- 37:30Speaker 3: You're looking at.
- 37:36Speaker 2: The one who saw it. And it was big. You
- 37:40Speaker 2: said it was dark. Now, perhaps you're mistaken.
- 37:47Speaker 4: An alligator half that size would starve in a week.
- 37:49Speaker 3: Once it escaped, there was no way to stop it.
- 38:03Speaker 4: It could be anywhere. Ready to attack at any moment.
- 38:07Speaker 12: I've seen what this animal can do.
- 38:12Speaker 2: You'd better take all the help you can get.
- 38:14Speaker 12: At first, no one believed it.

- 38:57Speaker 11: Are you tired of film podcasts where the hosts exist
- 39:00Speaker 11: in a constant blissful state of agreement?
- 39:03Speaker 4: I mean, the main characters are two of the dullest
- 39:05Speaker 4: main characters I have ever encountered in any film. Well,
- 39:09Speaker 4: you're in luck.
- 39:10Speaker 11: That means you shoot a chin-stroker and punter.
- 39:12Speaker 1: One is an ex-film.
- 39:13Speaker 11: Student with a penchant for David Lynch and art cinema.
- 39:16Speaker 4: The other is a man on the street.
- 39:18Speaker 11: Listen in perplexed and horrified terror. We tear apart one
- 39:23Speaker 11: film a week.
- 39:25Speaker 1: It just really isn't.
- 39:26Speaker 4: It's not visually striking.
- 39:27Speaker 2: No.
- 39:28Speaker 4: Just getting confirmation. That's the third time, though. I mean,
- 39:31Speaker 4: is this on?
- 39:32Speaker 11: You can find us at csvsp.libson.com.
- 39:37Speaker 7: So come and share the victory.
- 39:38Speaker 2: If you could fuck any man in film, who would
- 39:41Speaker 2: it be and why?
- 39:42Speaker 4: My answer is Lance Henriksen. He wouldn't tell. He looks
- 39:46Speaker 4: like some.
- 39:47Speaker 4: He looks like somebody you can keep a secret.
- 39:52Speaker 10: It's Orlando Jones and you're listening to Movie Meltdown.
- 39:58Speaker 4: I said you're listening to Movie... I didn't say you
- 40:00Speaker 4: were texting while listening to Movie Meltdown.
- 40:04Speaker 2: Jackass.
- 40:23Speaker 1: It's time for Sofa Theater.
- 40:28Speaker 9: I remember when I was young. Me and Susie had
- 40:32Speaker 9: so much fun. Holding hands and skimming stones. Had an
- 40:38Speaker 9: old gold chairman. And to the crocodile rock the well Cry, rock.
- 40:55Speaker 10: A song to shout When your feet just can't keep still.
- 41:01Speaker 9: I never knew me about time And I guess.
- 41:05Speaker 10: I never will Oh, Lord, I'm on a.
- 41:08Speaker 9: Friday night Sooner or later I'll get there.
- 41:12Speaker 3: By evening.
- 41:24Speaker 5: Alright, we are back. What are we calling this thing?
- 41:27Speaker 6: Primeval?
- 41:29Speaker 5: That's what I said in the beginning. It was like,
- 41:30Speaker 5: remind me the right way to say it. Because every
- 41:33Speaker 5: time you look it up, it brings up something else.
- 41:36Speaker 4: Alright.
- 41:37Speaker 6: Primeval?
- 41:39Speaker 1: Don't ask me.
- 41:40Speaker 4: I didn't look at the case.
- 41:41Speaker 6: P-R-I-N-E-V-A-L.
- 41:46Speaker 5: Maybe this was part of the problem when they were
- 41:48Speaker 5: trying to market it. This week's Sofa Theater feature is Primeval.
- 41:51Speaker 5: The year is 2007. The director, Michael Cattleman? Again, I'm
- 41:56Speaker 5: not really sure. It's K-A-T.
- 42:00Speaker 6: Is it a fancy word?
- 42:03Speaker 4: It's fancy.
- 42:04Speaker 6: Permivio.
- 42:06Speaker 7: Permivio.
- 42:08Speaker 4: Pinkies out.
- 42:09Speaker 5: And the breakdown here, according to IMDb. A news team
- 42:15Speaker 5: is sent to... Okay, what's the name of that country, too?
- 42:18Speaker 7: Burundia?
- 42:20Speaker 5: Sure.
- 42:21Speaker 4: Somewhere in Africa.
- 42:22Speaker 6: It's all the same over there. It all sucks.
- 42:24Speaker 3: Nice.
- 42:26Speaker 5: A news team is sent to somewhere in Africa, that
- 42:28Speaker 5: we'll mispronounce, to capture and bring home a legendary 25-foot crocodile.
- 42:32Speaker 5: Their difficult task turns potentially deadly when a warlord targets
- 42:36Speaker 5: them for death. Spoiler alert. Yeah, we're going to ruin
- 42:39Speaker 5: this whole thing.
- 42:40Speaker 6: We're going to spoil the fuck out of this movie,
- 42:42Speaker 6: and I'm going to curse a lot while I do it.
- 42:44Speaker 5: I think we should kick it off. Usually at the
- 42:46Speaker 5: beginning we play the trailer for every one. And I
- 42:50Speaker 5: think this time we're actually going to play it for
- 42:52Speaker 5: everyone all at the same time, because I think you
- 42:55Speaker 5: guys need to see it. I think it explains why
- 42:57Speaker 5: this movie had issues.
- 43:03Speaker 12: In one of the most remote locations on Earth lives
- 43:07Speaker 12: the world's most prolific serial killer. He has claimed over
- 43:13Speaker 12: 300 victims. He is elusive, intelligent, cunning, And to this day,
- 43:23Speaker 12: he remains at large.
- 43:25Speaker 6: Looks to be another mass grave.
- 43:33Speaker 12: He is real, but he is not human.
- 43:36Speaker 10: What are you doing?
- 43:50Speaker 12: He says that we'll find what we seek.
- 43:55Speaker 4: Then we'll find death. Oh my God.
- 44:13Speaker 11: What happened?
- 44:15Speaker 2: What happened? Run!
- 44:21Speaker 5: He's gone.
- 44:38Speaker 1: Primeval.
- 44:40Speaker 6: Told you it was Primeval. So, they're not sure they can... Crocodile.
- 44:46Speaker 5: It's just a horror movie trailer. Like, it's just a
- 44:49Speaker 5: serial killer trailer. Like, you don't know. Like, I mean,
- 44:52Speaker 5: you can kind of take a little from that, but
- 44:55Speaker 5: it does not.
- 44:55Speaker 4: He's fighting that helicopter for something.
- 44:58Speaker 5: It doesn't look like.
- 45:00Speaker 4: Helicopter's like, give me that.
- 45:02Speaker 5: It doesn't look like it's an animal attack movie. And
- 45:05Speaker 5: that's kind of what you need to be selling.
- 45:07Speaker 4: They trick you into it.
- 45:10Speaker 6: I don't like movies that lie.
- 45:12Speaker 5: Even the poster here. Does that look like a gator movie?
- 45:15Speaker 4: No, it looks like a bunch of bones.
- 45:17Speaker 5: Technically, it's a crocodile. But still, that looks like a
- 45:20Speaker 5: ridiculous horror movie. It looks like a new Leatherface movie
- 45:22Speaker 5: coming out. I'm just like, this may be where they
- 45:25Speaker 5: dropped the ball on this movie to begin with, so
- 45:27Speaker 5: it may not have had a shot going into it.
- 45:30Speaker 5: All right, getting the weird advertising out of the way. Otherwise,
- 45:34Speaker 5: where would you like to begin?
- 45:36Speaker 6: There's just way too much political guilt in this movie
- 45:38Speaker 6: for me. There was not enough... Gators of any variety, crocodiles,
- 45:43Speaker 6: whatever the fuck, caimans.
- 45:45Speaker 5: Crocogators is how I like to refer to them.
- 45:47Speaker 6: Crocogamingators. I like caimans because they're smaller and have pointy faces.
- 45:53Speaker 4: That whole area of Africa I would really never want
- 45:57Speaker 4: to go to.
- 45:58Speaker 5: Doesn't seem fun at all.
- 45:59Speaker 10: No.
- 45:59Speaker 4: One of my friends just got back from doing a
- 46:03Speaker 4: tour over, I don't remember exactly where it was. He
- 46:06Speaker 4: was in a very bad area. and he said it
- 46:12Speaker 4: was just beyond anything that I could imagine or he
- 46:17Speaker 4: could imagine. He said just people just.
- 46:18Speaker 6: Wasn't Djibouti, was it?
- 46:20Speaker 4: No, that was my other friend was there.
- 46:22Speaker 5: You just like to say Djibouti.
- 46:23Speaker 9: I do.
- 46:24Speaker 4: No, he was over there. But just the way those
- 46:28Speaker 4: people have to live is pretty mind-blowing. That, and it's
- 46:35Speaker 4: like in that movie, you've got warlords. There's too much
- 46:37Speaker 4: stuff that wants to kill you there. I think there's
- 46:39Speaker 4: more things that want to kill you There than in Australia.
- 46:42Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 46:42Speaker 5: And that's saying something.
- 46:43Speaker 4: You know. I think there's more things that.
- 46:46Speaker 6: Are going to kill you there than in Australia. No,
- 46:48Speaker 6: I think in Africa, it's people and gators and maybe lions.
- 46:54Speaker 6: Whereas in Australia, you have everything else to get you.
- 46:56Speaker 5: There's snakes.
- 46:58Speaker 4: There's spiders in Africa. There's ants.
- 47:03Speaker 5: Australia, people-wise, seems a little more relaxed. They don't seem
- 47:06Speaker 5: like warlords. They just want a drink and they don't
- 47:08Speaker 5: really care.
- 47:09Speaker 6: Have you seen Wolfcrank?
- 47:11Speaker 5: We're basing all our facts on Wolf Creek.
- 47:13Speaker 4: On Wolf Creek.
- 47:14Speaker 5: And Primeval.
- 47:15Speaker 6: That was Australia, right?
- 47:17Speaker 5: I believe it was.
- 47:18Speaker 6: It's about a crazy guy who kills people.
- 47:21Speaker 4: Crazy people that kill people everywhere.
- 47:23Speaker 5: It's not really crazy.
- 47:24Speaker 4: We had one that lived down the street, or two
- 47:27Speaker 4: houses down from us.
- 47:29Speaker 5: So America is the most deadliest place on Earth.
- 47:32Speaker 6: I think everywhere depends on where you are.
- 47:33Speaker 5: That's kind of true, actually.
- 47:35Speaker 4: We don't have things trying to eat you, though.
- 47:38Speaker 5: Your neighbor.
- 47:39Speaker 6: I don't think he ate anybody.
- 47:40Speaker 5: Depending on what neighborhood you live in. Maybe not yours.
- 47:43Speaker 4: I'm talking about animals. That's just because we massacred them all.
- 47:48Speaker 6: We had that skink in the house for a while.
- 47:50Speaker 4: He wasn't trying to get you.
- 47:52Speaker 6: He was going to eat my toes.
- 47:54Speaker 5: He would peek around the corner and look at you.
- 47:55Speaker 2: He did.
- 47:56Speaker 6: He mocked me, that little fucker. You didn't see him.
- 47:58Speaker 6: He taunted me. You saw him in the hallway looking
- 48:02Speaker 6: at me with that little beady eye.
- 48:04Speaker 5: You do live in a wilderness state.
- 48:05Speaker 4: He was just seeing what was going on.
- 48:08Speaker 5: Around your toe area.
- 48:10Speaker 6: He was going to eat my toes.
- 48:11Speaker 5: He had a top.
- 48:11Speaker 4: Hat and a monocle.
- 48:13Speaker 2: He did not.
- 48:14Speaker 4: Skinks with top hats and monocles are not trying to
- 48:16Speaker 4: get you. He has no neck. It doesn't matter.
- 48:18Speaker 5: Oh, they're ugly.
- 48:23Speaker 6: So.
- 48:25Speaker 4: He was a cultured skink.
- 48:27Speaker 6: He was an alligator in miniature size. He was going
- 48:30Speaker 6: to eat my toes.
- 48:31Speaker 4: He was going to eat your toes.
- 48:32Speaker 6: He was.
- 48:34Speaker 5: Do we want to start from the beginning? Misty, you
- 48:36Speaker 5: totally approve of her business attire.
- 48:38Speaker 6: She wasn't wearing a fucking shirt. It was bad enough
- 48:42Speaker 6: that Dominique Purcell's name I just totally slaughtered because I
- 48:46Speaker 6: don't even know how to say it.
- 48:48Speaker 5: That's how we roll.
- 48:50Speaker 6: I don't even know if I put the right letters
- 48:52Speaker 6: in there. The guy from Prison Break and Blood Creek.
- 48:57Speaker 6: Did I get that one right?
- 48:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 48:58Speaker 6: I think I did. His big old dumbo ears.
- 49:01Speaker 5: Blood Creek.
- 49:02Speaker 6: Blood Craig. Which I think I did refer to it
- 49:04Speaker 6: at some point when we watched it the other week. Anyways,
- 49:07Speaker 6: I was like, making fun of him. I'm like, dude,
- 49:08Speaker 6: you're in an office. You can at least button your shirt.
- 49:10Speaker 6: And then I'm like, oh wait, at least you have
- 49:12Speaker 6: a shirt on. Bitch over there is wearing a fucking jacket.
- 49:15Speaker 6: And that's it.
- 49:16Speaker 5: She just got blazer and chest. She's all set, man.
- 49:19Speaker 6: Blazer and chest. plate. There wasn't really anything going on
- 49:22Speaker 6: there in that jacket. Until she put on the tank
- 49:23Speaker 6: top later. Then I'm like, where the fuck those come from?
- 49:25Speaker 6: Because when she was wearing that blazer, nothing going on.
- 49:28Speaker 5: She tied that shit down.
- 49:29Speaker 4: It's called a push-up bra.
- 49:30Speaker 6: Apparently.
- 49:33Speaker 4: Who had to make those?
- 49:34Speaker 2: Wonderbra.
- 49:35Speaker 5: That's her business attire. She straps them down when she's
- 49:38Speaker 5: not wearing a shirt.
- 49:39Speaker 13: Yeah, you know what?
- 49:39Speaker 4: That's the other thing that really bothered me is, like,
- 49:43Speaker 4: if you're going to a place that's war-torn and it's
- 49:48Speaker 4: run by warlords and there's not a lot of law
- 49:51Speaker 4: going on, you know, there's a lot of lawlessness.
- 49:54Speaker 6: You dress conservatively.
- 49:55Speaker 4: Dress conservatively. Don't flaunt that shit. Yeah, really. It's like.
- 50:00Speaker 6: That's why you almost get raped.
- 50:01Speaker 4: What the fuck are you thinking?
- 50:03Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, I'm not saying you have to. I'm
- 50:05Speaker 5: saying it's in your best interest.
- 50:07Speaker 4: It is, you know.
- 50:08Speaker 6: I'm sure there's somebody out there that'll be like, she
- 50:12Speaker 6: should be able to wear whatever she wants.
- 50:14Speaker 4: That's fine.
- 50:14Speaker 5: I agree, she should be able to, but in this world.
- 50:18Speaker 4: In all reality, you know, yes, you should be able to,
- 50:21Speaker 4: but where you are.
- 50:23Speaker 5: Don't do it.
- 50:24Speaker 6: You should take things into consideration.
- 50:26Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 50:26Speaker 4: Use your brain.
- 50:28Speaker 1: Use it.
- 50:29Speaker 6: She did not.
- 50:29Speaker 2: No.
- 50:30Speaker 6: And she'd look like the bastard child of Evangeline Lilly
- 50:34Speaker 6: and Katie Cassidy if they got together and made a baby.
- 50:40Speaker 5: Somebody would watch that video, sure.
- 50:42Speaker 6: I'm sure they would.
- 50:42Speaker 4: She was aggravating. She was aggravating throughout the whole movie.
- 50:45Speaker 5: She kind of was, actually.
- 50:46Speaker 4: I would have left her there.
- 50:48Speaker 2: You and me both.
- 50:52Speaker 5: Well, while you're complaining about her, would you like to
- 50:54Speaker 5: talk about the dog?
- 50:54Speaker 7: Mm-hmm.
- 50:55Speaker 4: Fuck that dog. Okay, yeah, that was another thing that
- 50:58Speaker 4: bothered me. You don't just walk into a random village.
- 51:00Speaker 4: They've got the dog out there on a raft. Okay,
- 51:03Speaker 4: first of all, you're an American. You have no idea
- 51:07Speaker 4: about cultures or beliefs or anything about this tribe, but
- 51:12Speaker 4: yet you just walk out there and get this dog
- 51:16Speaker 4: off a raft because you fucking feel like it because
- 51:18Speaker 4: that's what I do. I save dogs. Guess what? You're
- 51:21Speaker 4: not in America. You're in Africa, you know? What the fuck?
- 51:25Speaker 4: I'm surprised she didn't piss people off over there, but
- 51:27Speaker 4: then again, it's a movie.
- 51:28Speaker 5: It's a movie.
- 51:29Speaker 6: She didn't have a goddamn problem with the goat getting eaten.
- 51:32Speaker 6: What the fuck's her problem? With the dog special, because
- 51:35Speaker 6: it's a dog. The goat could have been somebody's pet goat.
- 51:38Speaker 6: You don't know. She had no problem sending the goat
- 51:41Speaker 6: out there for sacrifice, but God forbid the little ugly...
- 51:44Speaker 6: That was an ugly dog. I don't even care what anybody...
- 51:46Speaker 6: That dog was fucking ugly and mangy, and I bet
- 51:48Speaker 6: it smelled like ass. Worse than ass. It probably smelled
- 51:51Speaker 6: like african river ass i don't even know what that
- 51:54Speaker 6: smells like but i can imagine it's not pleasant it
- 51:57Speaker 6: was mangy and gross and matted i'm just like oh.
- 52:00Speaker 5: Really dog It does seem like she would have pissed
- 52:02Speaker 5: somebody off, and it felt like... Because they specifically said
- 52:05Speaker 5: that's why they put it out there.
- 52:06Speaker 2: They put it out there.
- 52:07Speaker 4: Like it was an offering. It was an offering, and
- 52:09Speaker 4: she marches her skinny little ass out there and just
- 52:12Speaker 4: takes some... Pony white ass. I'm a privileged.
- 52:14Speaker 5: American, so I get it my way.
- 52:16Speaker 4: What the fuck? You don't just walk... And that's the
- 52:19Speaker 4: first thing she does, too. There's no, hey, how's it going?
- 52:22Speaker 4: Here's the chief. Anything like that. She's like, how dare
- 52:25Speaker 4: they put that dog out there in the river? I'm
- 52:27Speaker 4: going to rescue him.
- 52:28Speaker 5: At least if she was, like, talking with people and
- 52:30Speaker 5: we were like, well, he obviously took that little girl,
- 52:33Speaker 5: not the dog. So the dog's not doing any good, right?
- 52:35Speaker 5: The dog's not doing any good. Can I take the dog?
- 52:37Speaker 4: Like, if she asked them. Not asking.
- 52:38Speaker 5: And they were like, oh, yeah, it's not doing us
- 52:40Speaker 5: any good.
- 52:40Speaker 7: Go ahead.
- 52:41Speaker 4: No respect. Just march your ass over there because you're
- 52:43Speaker 4: a journalist.
- 52:44Speaker 6: That's American culture. We don't care about anybody else's things.
- 52:47Speaker 5: That's true. I mean, that's kind of how we are.
- 52:50Speaker 4: Seriously, I am under the impression that everybody cares When
- 52:53Speaker 4: they hit the age of 16, need to be taken
- 52:56Speaker 4: and put in a third world country for at least
- 52:58Speaker 4: one month to live.
- 53:01Speaker 5: I don't think our kids can handle it.
- 53:03Speaker 4: I spent a month in Southeast Asia with no fucking
- 53:08Speaker 4: running water. All right? And it makes you appreciate the
- 53:12Speaker 4: things we have here in the United States, like running water,
- 53:14Speaker 4: a toilet. Mm-hmm.
- 53:16Speaker 5: Toilet paper.
- 53:18Speaker 6: Non-bootleg cassette tapes?
- 53:20Speaker 4: No, actually the bootleg cassette tapes were pretty cool. But
- 53:24Speaker 4: that's a different story.
- 53:25Speaker 6: Yeah, you know.
- 53:26Speaker 4: But just little things. Shade. TVs. Air conditioning. Good God.
- 53:33Speaker 4: You talk about hot.
- 53:34Speaker 6: Not having mosquito nets.
- 53:35Speaker 4: Not having good, yeah, that's another thing.
- 53:37Speaker 5: Spiders.
- 53:38Speaker 12: Spiders.
- 53:39Speaker 4: Fucking spiders the size of my hand. Goddamn spiders. And snakes.
- 53:46Speaker 4: Fucking snakes. Spiders. Scorpions. Insects that I don't even know
- 53:52Speaker 4: what the fuck they are.
- 53:54Speaker 5: They haven't categorized them yet.
- 53:56Speaker 4: They haven't categorized them. Nightmares. Nightmares with legs is what
- 53:59Speaker 4: they are. Saw my cousin eat a bug. On purpose?
- 54:04Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 54:05Speaker 2: Nice.
- 54:05Speaker 4: Apparently rice bugs. Delicacy.
- 54:07Speaker 6: Gross.
- 54:08Speaker 5: Chocolate dipped?
- 54:09Speaker 6: No.
- 54:09Speaker 4: Big beetle. We were out in the field. He pulled
- 54:11Speaker 4: its whatever... Exoskeleton? The top part of his abdomen off
- 54:18Speaker 4: and then just sucked his guts out.
- 54:20Speaker 5: This is like Temple of Doom.
- 54:22Speaker 10: It is.
- 54:22Speaker 6: It was.
- 54:23Speaker 4: I was like, what the fuck? Are you kidding me? Here,
- 54:26Speaker 4: try one.
- 54:26Speaker 6: He sucked out his undercarriage?
- 54:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 54:29Speaker 5: Yeah. That's good.
- 54:31Speaker 4: It's a deluxe. Well, they feed on rice. They just
- 54:34Speaker 4: eat rice. And then they have this... Well, they're sticky
- 54:37Speaker 4: rice bugs. Oh, I love sticky rice. They feed on
- 54:39Speaker 4: sticky rice.
- 54:39Speaker 5: Sticky rice and sticky bugs. So apparently they taste pretty good.
- 54:41Speaker 4: But I'm not going to eat one because it's a
- 54:43Speaker 4: fucking bug.
- 54:44Speaker 11: Right?
- 54:45Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 54:45Speaker 4: I got chewed up by fire ants. That sucked.
- 54:49Speaker 6: Om nom nom.
- 54:50Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 54:51Speaker 4: That royally sucked. I thought the fire ants here were bad.
- 54:54Speaker 4: Or the ones in Florida. I thought the ones in
- 54:55Speaker 4: Florida were bad. Try the ones in Asia. They'll eat
- 54:59Speaker 4: the fuck out of your legs. And by the time
- 55:02Speaker 4: they're on you, it's too late because they're all over you.
- 55:07Speaker 4: But anyways.
- 55:07Speaker 5: I'm staying here.
- 55:08Speaker 4: Yeah, to get back to the point is most of
- 55:10Speaker 4: the people here in the United States are spoiled rotten.
- 55:12Speaker 4: They have no fucking clue how the rest of the
- 55:15Speaker 4: world lives. And you just don't walk into a village
- 55:18Speaker 4: and release a dog.
- 55:20Speaker 6: And the dog, it's like I can understand maybe if
- 55:23Speaker 6: later on the story it served a purpose or saved somebody.
- 55:26Speaker 6: It almost got her eaten again later at the end
- 55:28Speaker 6: of the movie.
- 55:29Speaker 4: I was hoping she would get eaten.
- 55:30Speaker 6: Because of that damn dog.
- 55:31Speaker 4: Because of that damn dog.
- 55:32Speaker 5: Well, and it, like, again, in a big plot loophole,
- 55:35Speaker 5: it just disappears. Like, I thought he just killed it. Because, like,
- 55:38Speaker 5: you hear the noise and then you don't see him for, like,
- 55:41Speaker 5: 40 minutes. I'm like, well, I guess he killed the dog.
- 55:43Speaker 5: But he doesn't do anything.
- 55:44Speaker 4: It's not true. And if the dog comes back and
- 55:46Speaker 4: saves the day, it's not like he.
- 55:47Speaker 5: He didn't binge eat or nothing. No, not at all.
- 55:49Speaker 6: There was that one movie we watched where the dog
- 55:50Speaker 6: saves the day. And I can't remember what it was.
- 55:52Speaker 6: The dog killed more people than anybody else.
- 55:54Speaker 4: It was the remake of The Hills Have Eyes.
- 55:57Speaker 2: Ah.
- 55:58Speaker 4: That fucking dog's super dog.
- 56:00Speaker 6: Fucking A. Was it a German Shepherd?
- 56:02Speaker 4: I don't know if it was a German Shepherd.
- 56:03Speaker 6: It wasn't some mangy-ass little fucking rat dog.
- 56:05Speaker 4: He took out everybody. I was like, hell yeah, dog.
- 56:08Speaker 4: I was afraid that dog was going to die, but
- 56:09Speaker 4: he didn't. He took out almost all the bad guys.
- 56:12Speaker 6: Fucking A.
- 56:13Speaker 4: I was like, I need a dog like that.
- 56:15Speaker 6: You don't want some mangy-ass little rat dog. Can I
- 56:17Speaker 6: say that one more time? Mangy-ass little fucking rat dog.
- 56:20Speaker 5: Yes, you can.
- 56:21Speaker 4: I want a wolf.
- 56:23Speaker 1: That's what I want.
- 56:23Speaker 5: We had a wolf hybrid.
- 56:25Speaker 6: She was terrifying.
- 56:25Speaker 5: She was awesome.
- 56:27Speaker 6: She'd get in your face and she would sing.
- 56:28Speaker 4: That's cool.
- 56:29Speaker 5: How would she sing? She was a wolf.
- 56:30Speaker 6: Am I going to sing the Tosche song?
- 56:31Speaker 7: Go for it.
- 56:32Speaker 5: She was awesome.
- 56:34Speaker 6: And she would get in your face and do that.
- 56:36Speaker 6: And when you have this big wolf dog coming at
- 56:37Speaker 6: you and you don't know what's going on, you're like,
- 56:39Speaker 6: oh my God, this dog is singing the song of
- 56:41Speaker 6: my death.
- 56:42Speaker 5: She had to celebrate it before she sacrifices you.
- 56:45Speaker 2: See?
- 56:45Speaker 5: You were a sacrifice to her.
- 56:46Speaker 6: Tosche was awesome. It was Tosche, right? Was it Tosh?
- 56:48Speaker 2: Tosche.
- 56:49Speaker 6: I called her Tosche.
- 56:49Speaker 5: Officially, yes, she was Tosche. See, I need a wolf.
- 56:52Speaker 4: I'm not a pit bull guy. I need a wolf.
- 56:55Speaker 4: That's what I need.
- 56:56Speaker 6: I'd prefer.
- 56:57Speaker 5: Pit bulls are all right, though. But I like the wolf.
- 57:00Speaker 4: I've got friends that have pit bulls. And they're okay,
- 57:02Speaker 4: but they don't fit my personality, I don't think.
- 57:03Speaker 5: And secretly you want to be snake eyes.
- 57:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 57:06Speaker 2: Of course.
- 57:07Speaker 5: I kind of know where everyone in our generation kind
- 57:10Speaker 5: of wanted a wolf because.
- 57:11Speaker 2: Hell yeah.
- 57:13Speaker 4: I wanted a wolf before that, but still.
- 57:14Speaker 5: Once you saw him, you're like, oh, that's the.
- 57:16Speaker 4: Best pet ever. We had a neighbor that had wolves.
- 57:19Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 57:19Speaker 4: And so I always thought that was the coolest thing ever,
- 57:21Speaker 4: but we were always told not to go anywhere near
- 57:23Speaker 4: them because they would eat us.
- 57:24Speaker 5: That's kind of how wolves hopper.
- 57:26Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 57:27Speaker 5: So, I don't know. I think you, back to Primeval here,
- 57:31Speaker 5: I think you sort of hit the nail on the
- 57:33Speaker 5: head because I was sitting there thinking the exact same thing.
- 57:35Speaker 5: I'm like, how far into this movie are we? We
- 57:39Speaker 5: haven't seen a damn crocodile.
- 57:41Speaker 6: I saw those two fake crocodile.
- 57:42Speaker 4: Oh, they were.
- 57:43Speaker 6: They were real, but they weren't the woman.
- 57:46Speaker 5: We didn't see our crocodile. Let's put it that way.
- 57:48Speaker 5: We saw random Riverside crocodiles, but we still, again, we're
- 57:52Speaker 5: here for the big monster crocodile, and we're.
- 57:55Speaker 6: Too much political stuff.
- 57:57Speaker 5: Well, there was that, too.
- 57:58Speaker 4: And then you got poor man's Steve... Crikey.
- 58:04Speaker 5: I just kept calling him Crikey.
- 58:05Speaker 4: Yeah, Crikey guy. Croc guy. Steve Irwin. Steve Irwin. But
- 58:08Speaker 4: he was worse than Steve Irwin because I like Steve Irwin.
- 58:11Speaker 5: Yeah, Steve Irwin was good.
- 58:11Speaker 4: Steve Irwin was cool.
- 58:12Speaker 5: He was ridiculous, but he was smart.
- 58:13Speaker 4: But this crocodile guy just sucked.
- 58:15Speaker 6: Crikey, this crocodile is more important than all of you people.
- 58:19Speaker 6: I wanted the guy to get eaten by the crocodile.
- 58:21Speaker 6: Because that would have been justice.
- 58:23Speaker 4: Did he get eaten by the car?
- 58:25Speaker 5: No, he got shot.
- 58:26Speaker 6: After he got hit.
- 58:27Speaker 5: That was the best part. I think possibly right there.
- 58:29Speaker 5: Because if there was anything I didn't see coming, it
- 58:31Speaker 5: was that damn truck. And neither did he.
- 58:34Speaker 6: I didn't see that coming. And usually I'm pretty good
- 58:36Speaker 6: at calling shit.
- 58:36Speaker 5: Yeah, that one was totally just.
- 58:39Speaker 6: Out of left field.
- 58:41Speaker 5: Literally caught I'm ignoring that part caught you totally off
- 58:46Speaker 5: guard cause yeah you were waiting for somebody to shoot
- 58:49Speaker 5: him or you were waiting for the croc to get
- 58:51Speaker 5: in people would call it an alligator it's sort of
- 58:53Speaker 5: like an alligator but technically but yeah that part was
- 58:56Speaker 5: actually kind of awesome just because you had no idea
- 58:59Speaker 5: that was gonna happen so that was cool but yeah
- 59:03Speaker 5: I think I was at least like after the first
- 59:05Speaker 5: time we said that and we went okay well maybe
- 59:07Speaker 5: now no no we're back to another scene where you because.
- 59:10Speaker 6: You hold on let's backtrack a second I want to
- 59:12Speaker 6: get back to the scene that pissed me off and
- 59:14Speaker 6: it was prior to that scene all right okay if
- 59:17Speaker 6: you're hiding out from an alligator slash crocodile whatever where
- 59:22Speaker 6: is the last place you should hang out on a
- 59:25Speaker 6: tiny little raft type thing in the middle of the
- 59:27Speaker 6: fucking water.
- 59:29Speaker 5: Which person are we talking about?
- 59:30Speaker 6: I'm talking about the entire fucking little stilt island that
- 59:33Speaker 6: they're all sitting in. The entire fucking everybody.
- 59:35Speaker 5: See, that was after it came out, though.
- 59:37Speaker 6: But that was before he got hit by the truck.
- 59:39Speaker 5: Okay. No, I was just talking about before we even see. Yeah,
- 59:42Speaker 5: before we see the... I got to the point I
- 59:43Speaker 5: started like, okay, looking at the timer, I was like.
- 59:46Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 59:46Speaker 2: We were.
- 59:47Speaker 5: If you don't count the little girl attack, because all
- 59:49Speaker 5: you see is like a half second of like mouth.
- 59:52Speaker 4: Then they try to move into the whole political thing.
- 59:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 59:54Speaker 4: Because Orlando sees... Those people get executed, you know, and
- 59:59Speaker 4: then they're like, oh, we've got to do something. We've
- 1:00:02Speaker 4: got to do something. We'll make a difference.
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: No, you won't.
- 1:00:04Speaker 4: You won't fucking make a difference because nobody gives a shit.
- 1:00:08Speaker 5: Again, it's the time when Orlando starts to seem pretty
- 1:00:11Speaker 5: cool because in the beginning he's being kind of silly
- 1:00:13Speaker 5: like he ends up being in a lot of his movies.
- 1:00:15Speaker 5: He calls himself out for that kind of stuff. But
- 1:00:18Speaker 5: in that, like you see, he becomes the only one
- 1:00:20Speaker 5: there that's like making sense at that point. She's like
- 1:00:23Speaker 5: bleeding heart. Oh, we got to save everybody. We got
- 1:00:25Speaker 5: to get the word out about it. And he's like,
- 1:00:27Speaker 5: people don't care. People don't care about black on black
- 1:00:30Speaker 5: violence in our country. Why are they going to care
- 1:00:32Speaker 5: in Africa? And I'm like, well, you got a point.
- 1:00:34Speaker 5: I'm like, shit, that's how it is.
- 1:00:37Speaker 4: Just the way it is over there, there's too much
- 1:00:39Speaker 4: shit going on.
- 1:00:39Speaker 12: Mm-hmm.
- 1:00:40Speaker 4: You know, you kill one warlord, another one will pop
- 1:00:43Speaker 4: up and.
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: Take his place.
- 1:00:43Speaker 5: There's 12 waiting to take his place.
- 1:00:45Speaker 4: And it's never-ending. It's the way that is. And that's
- 1:00:48Speaker 4: sad for most of the people that are living there.
- 1:00:50Speaker 4: You know, I mean, it sucks.
- 1:00:52Speaker 5: I mean, you can't have a normal life. You sort
- 1:00:56Speaker 5: of make a normal life out of the mess that
- 1:00:58Speaker 5: there is. I mean, people do, but, like, you can't.
- 1:01:02Speaker 4: But, yeah, for her to think that she's going to
- 1:01:04Speaker 4: come in and change it by rescuing a mangy dog
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: and trying to show some... film footage to somebody, you know, yay.
- 1:01:13Speaker 4: Maybe you'll get a, a Pulitzer Pulitzer.
- 1:01:16Speaker 5: Prize for, they do that for video.
- 1:01:18Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 1:01:18Speaker 4: I don't know for exposing somebody getting shot. We're going
- 1:01:22Speaker 4: to put a face on the crime.
- 1:01:25Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:01:26Speaker 5: I mean, again, you can get the word out all
- 1:01:28Speaker 5: you want. Like as a journalist. Yeah, it is your,
- 1:01:30Speaker 5: and that's the thing. Like the, They were making the
- 1:01:33Speaker 5: argument of like, this is our job. I'm like, well,
- 1:01:34Speaker 5: it is. Feel free. Go back and show everybody the footage,
- 1:01:38Speaker 5: but it's not going to change anything. You're not going
- 1:01:40Speaker 5: to change anybody's minds, and 90% of people won't even
- 1:01:43Speaker 5: pay attention to it. There's a handful that will, and
- 1:01:45Speaker 5: they'll pat you on the back and tell you you
- 1:01:46Speaker 5: did a great job. Everybody else is going to go
- 1:01:48Speaker 5: on with their lives.
- 1:01:49Speaker 6: But in the grand scheme of things, you're not going
- 1:01:50Speaker 6: to make a shit ton of money.
- 1:01:52Speaker 4: And in the major, major grand scheme of things, what
- 1:01:56Speaker 4: news agency puts up the money to hire a bunch
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: of people To capture an alligator or crocodile or whatever
- 1:02:04Speaker 4: the hell this thing is. Why do they fucking care?
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: They don't care. They don't put that kind of money
- 1:02:09Speaker 4: up just so you can go. They're going to send
- 1:02:11Speaker 4: two journalists and a wannabe crocodile hunter and a cameraman
- 1:02:15Speaker 4: to go capture a crocodile?
- 1:02:18Speaker 5: That seemed a little convenient for the plot. It seemed
- 1:02:22Speaker 5: almost like a little King Kong.
- 1:02:24Speaker 4: We've got to bring him back.
- 1:02:26Speaker 5: Come on.
- 1:02:26Speaker 4: Generally, there's already somebody in the area working on it.
- 1:02:29Speaker 4: They're going to send you there. cover the story yeah
- 1:02:32Speaker 4: not like we're gonna pay money to get you to
- 1:02:34Speaker 4: capture this thing.
- 1:02:35Speaker 5: I want you buddy who knows nothing about crocodiles to
- 1:02:38Speaker 5: go track down a crocodile okay.
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: That's in a violent war-torn country.
- 1:02:44Speaker 5: But all right i guess that's our movie i mean
- 1:02:47Speaker 5: yeah which yeah just at that point i missed your
- 1:02:51Speaker 5: comment was more gators less political guilt yeah which again
- 1:02:55Speaker 5: sort of pinpoints it for us.
- 1:02:58Speaker 4: Yeah, there wasn't enough crocodiles running around eating people.
- 1:03:03Speaker 6: I mean, the gator kills were good, though. I mean,
- 1:03:05Speaker 6: the crocodiles.
- 1:03:06Speaker 5: As we get into it, but that's what I was
- 1:03:07Speaker 5: going to say. If you don't count the little girl
- 1:03:09Speaker 5: getting attacked, before we get to the cage match, it's
- 1:03:13Speaker 5: 44 minutes into this movie. I'm like, that's a long
- 1:03:17Speaker 5: time to go in a crocodile movie to not see
- 1:03:20Speaker 5: our crocodile. I was like, that's a long buildup for it.
- 1:03:25Speaker 4: And it was still a CG game.
- 1:03:27Speaker 5: He wasn't bad. I think I was expecting worse. He
- 1:03:30Speaker 5: wasn't bad. He wasn't Siffy.
- 1:03:31Speaker 6: No.
- 1:03:32Speaker 5: He was better. Again, this was theatrical. It got out there.
- 1:03:36Speaker 5: So I guess it had a decent budget. It looks
- 1:03:38Speaker 5: good for a CG gator.
- 1:03:39Speaker 4: Yeah, it's not bad CG gator, but it's not. It's CG.
- 1:03:44Speaker 4: CG is never going to fool me. I'm never going
- 1:03:46Speaker 4: to sit and watch a movie and see CG and go, wow,
- 1:03:50Speaker 4: that CG gator is so real. Or that CG dinosaur.
- 1:03:54Speaker 6: You wouldn't have to say that CG gator. You'd be like,
- 1:03:56Speaker 6: oh my God, how'd they get that gator to do that?
- 1:03:58Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 1:03:59Speaker 6: Had a trained gator.
- 1:04:00Speaker 4: Why don't they go back to puppets? Puppets at least
- 1:04:03Speaker 4: had depth. They had feel. They seemed real because they
- 1:04:07Speaker 4: were physically there.
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:04:09Speaker 10: You know?
- 1:04:10Speaker 4: Even if they were puppets.
- 1:04:13Speaker 5: Again, it depends on if you're kidding.
- 1:04:14Speaker 4: Bruce looked like a real shark.
- 1:04:17Speaker 5: That's arguable too. But see, that's why I was trying
- 1:04:19Speaker 5: to decide. I'm like, why is it? Because again, most
- 1:04:21Speaker 5: animal attack movies you're going to put up against Jaws.
- 1:04:24Speaker 5: And I'm like, Why does Jaws still work? Because it's
- 1:04:27Speaker 5: kind of that same thing. You don't see Bruce for
- 1:04:30Speaker 5: a long time. And that's, again, for practical reasons. Bruce
- 1:04:33Speaker 5: wasn't working. Bruce was a broken piece of machinery for
- 1:04:37Speaker 5: most of that shoot.
- 1:04:39Speaker 4: But you didn't need it. You had your imagination to
- 1:04:42Speaker 4: fill in all the blanks.
- 1:04:43Speaker 5: And those characters were so well drawn. Where here, I'm like,
- 1:04:47Speaker 5: we really don't care about most of these people. They're
- 1:04:50Speaker 5: just kind of like... And I think that's what it was.
- 1:04:53Speaker 5: As they're going into all their big speeches back and forth,
- 1:04:55Speaker 5: I'm like, I don't really care about any of this.
- 1:04:57Speaker 4: When are these people going to die? The only person
- 1:04:59Speaker 4: that I didn't want to die was Orlando. He was
- 1:05:01Speaker 4: the only character that I liked.
- 1:05:02Speaker 5: And JoJo. We liked JoJo a little bit.
- 1:05:04Speaker 4: JoJo was okay. Yeah, you kind of wanted him and
- 1:05:06Speaker 4: Orlando to take off for America.
- 1:05:07Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:05:08Speaker 6: He wanted Orlando to put JoJo up his butt.
- 1:05:11Speaker 5: No, I didn't mean that. Orlando suggested it. It's his fault.
- 1:05:15Speaker 6: Not in that way, you perv. Smuggling him.
- 1:05:21Speaker 5: You know, smuggling. That's totally fine. So, yeah, I don't know.
- 1:05:24Speaker 5: I think that's part of the issue here is that,
- 1:05:28Speaker 5: number one, we don't see the crocodile. But at the
- 1:05:30Speaker 5: same time, we also don't have somebody carrying us through
- 1:05:33Speaker 5: that first 44 minutes that makes us really invested in
- 1:05:37Speaker 5: the characters either. I think that's a big part of
- 1:05:40Speaker 5: the problem. Because once the crocodile shows up, those scenes
- 1:05:44Speaker 5: are fun. Like you were saying, the attack scenes are
- 1:05:46Speaker 5: pretty fun attack scenes. There just aren't enough of them.
- 1:05:50Speaker 6: They have two different movies here. If they pull them
- 1:05:52Speaker 6: apart and separate them, because they have the whole political movie.
- 1:05:56Speaker 6: They want to show the injustices of what's actually going
- 1:05:58Speaker 6: on there, or at least try to in some half-assed manner.
- 1:06:01Speaker 6: But it's like, you don't take your crocodile movie and
- 1:06:04Speaker 6: your political crimes, and oh my god, how awful it is,
- 1:06:08Speaker 6: and try to mash them together, because then it's just,
- 1:06:10Speaker 6: they don't.
- 1:06:11Speaker 4: That'll mix.
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: I don't.
- 1:06:13Speaker 4: They're not two great tastes that taste great together.
- 1:06:16Speaker 5: When you do, it also, like, it kind of throws
- 1:06:20Speaker 5: off the story you're trying to tell, because number one,
- 1:06:22Speaker 5: my point was, as I'm sitting there, I'm like, the
- 1:06:25Speaker 5: crocodile's not your worst enemy. These warlords that are going
- 1:06:29Speaker 5: to gun you down, that's who they spend a good
- 1:06:31Speaker 5: portion of the movie running away from. They don't even
- 1:06:34Speaker 5: worry about the crocodile when they're hiding from warlord. I'm like,
- 1:06:38Speaker 5: I don't know. That Almost makes the crocodile seem less
- 1:06:42Speaker 5: deadly because you're really worried about this guy who's a
- 1:06:46Speaker 5: thinking person who's trying to kill you. He's more of
- 1:06:49Speaker 5: a monster. And has plenty more people.
- 1:06:51Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:06:51Speaker 5: So, I mean, it does sort of lessen the animal
- 1:06:54Speaker 5: attack part of it. And then as you get into
- 1:06:57Speaker 5: the animal attack part of it, it almost makes the
- 1:07:00Speaker 5: crocodile the hero sometimes.
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:07:03Speaker 5: I mean, he saves her in the rape scene. Okay.
- 1:07:06Speaker 5: she i mean she she fights him off pretty good
- 1:07:08Speaker 5: on her own but when it comes down to the
- 1:07:10Speaker 5: okay here he comes what's gonna happen the crocodile comes
- 1:07:14Speaker 5: along and like rescues her sort of i mean like
- 1:07:18Speaker 5: yeah i was like he eats the bad guy which
- 1:07:23Speaker 5: is again leaves.
- 1:07:24Speaker 4: The leg which you would think would be the tastiest
- 1:07:26Speaker 4: part of him because it's got more meat but he
- 1:07:28Speaker 4: doesn't like dark he doesn't like the leg If.
- 1:07:31Speaker 6: He hadn't liked dark meat, he probably wouldn't have eaten
- 1:07:33Speaker 6: the whole block.
- 1:07:33Speaker 5: He's more of wings. He's more of wings. Breast, that's
- 1:07:38Speaker 5: the white meat. So, yeah, I don't know. I was,
- 1:07:43Speaker 5: I think that was part of the problem because we get, like,
- 1:07:46Speaker 5: several times, like, by the end, once you get the
- 1:07:49Speaker 5: bald dude that's, like, trying to kill him in the end,
- 1:07:52Speaker 5: he also gets taken out by, I was like, he
- 1:07:54Speaker 5: ends up saving them almost as many times as he
- 1:07:56Speaker 5: eats someone in their crew. I was like, it's, It really,
- 1:08:00Speaker 5: it does kind of balance out because the warlords kill
- 1:08:02Speaker 5: Crikey and then like he kills at least two different
- 1:08:06Speaker 5: people along the way who are trying to kill them.
- 1:08:08Speaker 5: So I'm like, he almost balanced. Again, you get to
- 1:08:10Speaker 5: the point where he's not bad. He's just an animal.
- 1:08:13Speaker 5: He's just doing what he does.
- 1:08:14Speaker 4: He's just hungry.
- 1:08:15Speaker 5: And 50% of the time he's helping you guys out.
- 1:08:18Speaker 5: So I don't know. It's not like he's the big
- 1:08:20Speaker 5: villain in the movie for me. It's like as it
- 1:08:22Speaker 5: goes on.
- 1:08:23Speaker 4: He's like a mercenary.
- 1:08:25Speaker 5: They got him on a soldier for hire.
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:08:29Speaker 4: He works for the tastiest bitter.
- 1:08:31Speaker 5: There you go. That was bad. All right, so now
- 1:08:36Speaker 5: that we've been attacked by this crocodile, where should we hide, Misty?
- 1:08:40Speaker 5: What's the best place to hide from a crocodile?
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 1:08:43Speaker 6: In the over-the-water gazebo. That's where we should hide where
- 1:08:46Speaker 6: there's absolutely nothing.
- 1:08:48Speaker 4: Nowhere to run, and if you fall off, you've got
- 1:08:50Speaker 4: to swim, and you could get eaten by a crocodile.
- 1:08:52Speaker 5: And you're about three inches from the water in this
- 1:08:55Speaker 5: giant game.
- 1:08:56Speaker 6: At least if you're on the land, he can't come
- 1:08:58Speaker 6: up from underneath you. And that one guy was already shot,
- 1:09:02Speaker 6: so you know he's probably leaking.
- 1:09:04Speaker 4: Yeah, he's leaking all over the place.
- 1:09:06Speaker 6: You know, he's bound to be like, it's like, he's coming.
- 1:09:11Speaker 4: It's like, seriously, that's where you're... That's the place you
- 1:09:15Speaker 4: decide to hide. To hang out. Let's rest here over
- 1:09:18Speaker 4: the water.
- 1:09:19Speaker 6: Yeah, that's held up by like three little stilts or what,
- 1:09:22Speaker 6: and I've been four. I don't know.
- 1:09:23Speaker 4: Yeah, because the crocodile didn't already mangle that huge metal
- 1:09:28Speaker 4: cage that they had.
- 1:09:29Speaker 5: Yeah, this little flimsy wooden area is totally going to
- 1:09:33Speaker 5: keep him out.
- 1:09:33Speaker 4: Yeah, he won't be able to attack us here. He
- 1:09:35Speaker 4: won't see us.
- 1:09:36Speaker 6: With the spindly-ass little walkways.
- 1:09:39Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:09:40Speaker 6: He took that out in like one bite.
- 1:09:42Speaker 4: Really, dude?
- 1:09:43Speaker 11: Seriously?
- 1:09:44Speaker 6: That just made me so mad.
- 1:09:46Speaker 4: I would have kept moving. I wouldn't have taken a break.
- 1:09:49Speaker 6: I would have just, I would have stayed anywhere but there.
- 1:09:51Speaker 5: Yeah, even, why wouldn't you just get off of that,
- 1:09:53Speaker 5: go over, you know, not even right on the beach
- 1:09:56Speaker 5: where you can run up.
- 1:09:57Speaker 4: And get you. The thing is, they were on land
- 1:09:59Speaker 4: to begin with. They were walking on land going back
- 1:10:01Speaker 4: to the village and then what do they, they decide
- 1:10:03Speaker 4: they see this pagoda over the fucking lake and they're like, hey,
- 1:10:06Speaker 4: let's rest there. That seems like a safe place.
- 1:10:09Speaker 5: That's the best.
- 1:10:11Speaker 6: I was just, are you serious? Because I'm like, of
- 1:10:13Speaker 6: all the places, of all the places and.
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: All the lands.
- 1:10:16Speaker 4: These are a lot of people that don't think.
- 1:10:18Speaker 6: Wanted to punch them all and I wished them all
- 1:10:20Speaker 6: death at that moment I'm like if you're all this
- 1:10:22Speaker 6: fucking stupid then you should all die.
- 1:10:24Speaker 4: But I guess if they had a movie full of
- 1:10:26Speaker 4: smart people it wouldn't last that long and nothing would happen.
- 1:10:29Speaker 5: They'd like get shit done and not get killed and
- 1:10:33Speaker 5: I guess nobody wants to see that.
- 1:10:34Speaker 4: No there would be no trouble no peril.
- 1:10:37Speaker 5: Yeah you need stupid people especially in horrific movies you
- 1:10:41Speaker 5: kind of need stupid people so I don't know.
- 1:10:45Speaker 6: I'm so aggravated those people yeah Seriously, all places. That's
- 1:10:51Speaker 6: what probably pissed me off the most of this entire movie,
- 1:10:53Speaker 6: that when they take their break to rest, they rest there.
- 1:10:56Speaker 4: Aside from her running off to go save the dog
- 1:10:59Speaker 4: at the very end where the crocodile's coming up out
- 1:11:02Speaker 4: of the lake, and he's like, get in the truck!
- 1:11:05Speaker 4: And they're going to take off, and she hears the
- 1:11:07Speaker 4: dog barking, and she's like, no, I've got to rescue
- 1:11:10Speaker 4: the dog! I was like, I would have just left
- 1:11:12Speaker 4: her ass. I would have been like, fuck you, I'm gone.
- 1:11:15Speaker 12: Sorry.
- 1:11:16Speaker 4: No, I'm not sorry. You and the damn dog can
- 1:11:22Speaker 4: go off and go fight the crocodile.
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: I'm leaving.
- 1:11:26Speaker 5: And here's the trouble for Orlando. You gotta run zigzag, man.
- 1:11:31Speaker 5: That's what I've heard when you're being chased by either
- 1:11:34Speaker 5: crocodile or alligator. If you run crazy zigzag pattern, it
- 1:11:37Speaker 5: confuses them. Because truthfully, they look like they've got stubby
- 1:11:41Speaker 5: little legs, but they can outrun people. But if you
- 1:11:43Speaker 5: do crazy pattern, which I still kind of question because
- 1:11:47Speaker 5: I feel like midway into that zigzag, he's just going
- 1:11:49Speaker 5: to bite your ass.
- 1:11:50Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:11:50Speaker 5: But supposedly.
- 1:11:50Speaker 4: But rabbits do that.
- 1:11:51Speaker 6: I would think that you would run slower.
- 1:11:53Speaker 5: Rabbits do that. Again, I mean, it is a strategy
- 1:11:55Speaker 5: when you're being attacked. It's like you run crazy like
- 1:11:58Speaker 5: and then they don't know how to. Yeah, they don't
- 1:12:00Speaker 5: know how to get you.
- 1:12:01Speaker 6: Or if you're being shot at.
- 1:12:02Speaker 4: Yeah, if you're being shot at, don't run in a
- 1:12:03Speaker 4: straight line.
- 1:12:05Speaker 5: Or if you have a giant piece of metal rolling
- 1:12:08Speaker 5: at you like maybe a spaceship, don't run in a
- 1:12:11Speaker 5: straight line.
- 1:12:12Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 1:12:13Speaker 5: Also run zigzag and then it'll still crush you. But
- 1:12:15Speaker 5: it'll be more entertaining.
- 1:12:17Speaker 4: Just run off to one side.
- 1:12:18Speaker 5: For aliens that are watching.
- 1:12:19Speaker 4: Or step off the path.
- 1:12:23Speaker 5: Well, it's the same thinking as when you're being chased
- 1:12:25Speaker 5: by a truck.
- 1:12:25Speaker 3: In a movie.
- 1:12:26Speaker 5: Just stay in the middle of the road and run.
- 1:12:28Speaker 5: Don't go in somebody's yard where they can't get you
- 1:12:30Speaker 5: behind a tree.
- 1:12:31Speaker 4: No, no.
- 1:12:32Speaker 5: Just keep running down the middle of the road. You'll
- 1:12:34Speaker 5: be fine.
- 1:12:36Speaker 6: Those people deserve what they get coming to them.
- 1:12:38Speaker 5: Crazy movie life. But this one, I mean, again, your
- 1:12:41Speaker 5: initial instinct is just run. Just run. So, I mean, again,
- 1:12:45Speaker 5: that's kind of what you would think to do. And
- 1:12:47Speaker 5: it worked for a while, but obviously it didn't keep working.
- 1:12:50Speaker 6: No.
- 1:12:51Speaker 5: It didn't work out so well for Orlando.
- 1:12:52Speaker 4: Because apparently the crocodile will chase him all the way
- 1:12:55Speaker 4: across the plains of Africa.
- 1:12:57Speaker 5: And he did.
- 1:12:59Speaker 6: Yes. That's what he gets for taunting the fucker. If
- 1:13:03Speaker 6: he hadn't taken the time to sit there and give
- 1:13:04Speaker 6: him the finger, he might have had a longer start.
- 1:13:06Speaker 4: I think that pissed him off. He got mad.
- 1:13:08Speaker 5: That's why he got himself out. He was like, oh,
- 1:13:10Speaker 5: now that's it.
- 1:13:10Speaker 8: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 1:13:11Speaker 11: Give me the finger.
- 1:13:13Speaker 6: Oh, it's on, bitch.
- 1:13:13Speaker 4: I'm going to eat you.
- 1:13:15Speaker 6: I'm going to eat you so good. You're going to
- 1:13:16Speaker 6: wish I didn't eat you so good.
- 1:13:18Speaker 4: He gnawed the hell out of him.
- 1:13:21Speaker 6: We didn't see that one, though.
- 1:13:23Speaker 4: No, we kind of thought he was alive for a while.
- 1:13:25Speaker 6: I was like, I had a little bit of hope.
- 1:13:26Speaker 6: We didn't actually see... Him getting eaten. Maybe he's still
- 1:13:29Speaker 6: out there. He'll come at the last minute and he'll
- 1:13:30Speaker 6: say that, no, bitch was dead.
- 1:13:33Speaker 5: I'm sure they purposely put that in to give you hope.
- 1:13:35Speaker 5: Or because they weren't sure if Orlando was coming back
- 1:13:37Speaker 5: to shoot in here. He was probably like, look, I
- 1:13:40Speaker 5: got a real job. I'm out of here. See you
- 1:13:41Speaker 5: guys later.
- 1:13:43Speaker 6: Is that why the Orlando at the death scene didn't
- 1:13:46Speaker 6: look real? Was that just a dummy?
- 1:13:47Speaker 5: I'm sure it was.
- 1:13:49Speaker 6: I couldn't tell. I'm being serious.
- 1:13:50Speaker 5: It kind of looked like it.
- 1:13:51Speaker 6: Like a rubber mannequin thing.
- 1:13:53Speaker 5: That may be who they got. I was trying to
- 1:13:56Speaker 5: see because the one thing I will give them, there
- 1:13:59Speaker 5: were some really cool shots in it. There was a
- 1:14:02Speaker 5: time or two when he was using sort of that
- 1:14:06Speaker 5: gator cam. He was actually doing it kind of like, again,
- 1:14:09Speaker 5: it's sort of the shark idea in Jaws, but like
- 1:14:11Speaker 5: he was doing it at water level. That was kind
- 1:14:14Speaker 5: of cool. There were a few times when they do
- 1:14:16Speaker 5: pretty cool edits. Again, it's kind of playing on that
- 1:14:19Speaker 5: horror theme of like quick cuts and doing it kind of,
- 1:14:22Speaker 5: you know, but there were some original things as far
- 1:14:24Speaker 5: as directions. So I was trying to see what else
- 1:14:26Speaker 5: this guy has directed here. It looks like a lot
- 1:14:30Speaker 5: of TV work. But he's still, I mean, he's still.
- 1:14:34Speaker 6: Has he done anything else crocodile and or alligator related?
- 1:14:37Speaker 5: He's doing stuff now. He's doing Falling Skies and....
- 1:14:42Speaker 6: Are there shows?
- 1:14:42Speaker 5: Zolian Isles. True Calling, there we go.
- 1:14:50Speaker 6: Nobody cared about that show.
- 1:14:52Speaker 5: Smallville, but everybody does Smallville eventually.
- 1:14:55Speaker 6: Well, I've probably been on Smallville at some point, and
- 1:14:57Speaker 6: I just don't realize it yet.
- 1:14:58Speaker 5: Here's the one that seems a little odd. Seven episodes
- 1:15:01Speaker 5: of Gilmore Girls. Wowzers. And then off to Gatorland.
- 1:15:05Speaker 6: I don't remember there being any alligators in Gilmore Girls.
- 1:15:08Speaker 5: It's Stars Hollow. It's a crazy place, man.
- 1:15:10Speaker 6: You never know.
- 1:15:11Speaker 5: You never know what's going to happen. It was wacky.
- 1:15:13Speaker 6: Shenanigans abound.
- 1:15:15Speaker 5: Northern exposure. Very strange. Yeah, it's mostly TV work looking
- 1:15:18Speaker 5: at it.
- 1:15:18Speaker 6: Did anybody get eaten by a moose or something?
- 1:15:21Speaker 5: I think that one time.
- 1:15:22Speaker 12: Yeah, Janine.
- 1:15:23Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:15:25Speaker 5: So, ooh, a Dawson's Creek episode. He's obviously picked up
- 1:15:29Speaker 5: some TV work. So, I mean, he's, again, he's competent.
- 1:15:34Speaker 5: Things are shot relatively well and occasionally creative. But, yeah,
- 1:15:39Speaker 5: I don't know. I think I have more problem with
- 1:15:42Speaker 5: the script than anything else.
- 1:15:44Speaker 6: Too political for me. I just want gators eating shit,
- 1:15:48Speaker 6: you know. Or crocodiles or sharks or any kind of large...
- 1:15:52Speaker 6: animal of some variety eating some people or fighting other
- 1:15:56Speaker 6: mutant animals of equal size.
- 1:15:59Speaker 5: That's the thing a movie like this you think they
- 1:16:01Speaker 5: would sort of take a page out of the the
- 1:16:03Speaker 5: sci-fi channel book and do something pretty similar but they
- 1:16:08Speaker 5: with the exception of a couple of scenes they really
- 1:16:10Speaker 5: don't like it does not play like one of those
- 1:16:12Speaker 5: movies at.
- 1:16:13Speaker 4: All i know but i love giant lions why didn't
- 1:16:17Speaker 4: they have giant lions.
- 1:16:19Speaker 6: Giant lion versus super alligator crocodile.
- 1:16:22Speaker 4: I got just wrong.
- 1:16:23Speaker 5: I'd probably watch that.
- 1:16:25Speaker 6: And I saw no lions through this entire movie.
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: Yeah, me neither.
- 1:16:27Speaker 6: But yet the crocodile kind of roared like a lion.
- 1:16:29Speaker 6: I wonder if he at some point ate a lion
- 1:16:31Speaker 6: and absorbed its powers.
- 1:16:32Speaker 4: I don't know. But yeah, I kept expecting somebody to
- 1:16:36Speaker 4: run across something else and get eaten. Well, Orlando did
- 1:16:38Speaker 4: run across a snake, but that snake didn't eat him. But,
- 1:16:42Speaker 4: you know, I was like, oh, somebody's going to get
- 1:16:43Speaker 4: eaten by a tiger or a lion or something like that.
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: But.
- 1:16:47Speaker 5: Crikey got eaten by warlords.
- 1:16:49Speaker 4: Yeah, he got shot to death.
- 1:16:53Speaker 6: After getting ran over.
- 1:16:54Speaker 4: After getting hit by a truck.
- 1:16:55Speaker 6: You're going to get run over. We'll get you run over.
- 1:16:59Speaker 4: The thing I want to know is how did he
- 1:17:01Speaker 4: not hear the damn truck, you know?
- 1:17:03Speaker 5: He was all worked up running around.
- 1:17:05Speaker 4: But still, it's peripheral vision. I don't give a fuck
- 1:17:09Speaker 4: if there's a helicopter. I'll see a damn truck coming.
- 1:17:12Speaker 4: It's an open field. He's got no peripheral vision at all.
- 1:17:16Speaker 6: He was focused.
- 1:17:18Speaker 4: He was focused on the helicopter tunnel vision. He had
- 1:17:21Speaker 4: his blinders on. He got hit by a truck. In
- 1:17:25Speaker 4: an open field.
- 1:17:26Speaker 6: Out of left field.
- 1:17:27Speaker 4: It did come off the left side of the screen.
- 1:17:31Speaker 6: I know, right? That's what I've been trying to tell you.
- 1:17:33Speaker 3: Left field.
- 1:17:34Speaker 2: Wah, wah.
- 1:17:35Speaker 4: Wah, wah, wah, wah. Wow.
- 1:17:39Speaker 5: Any others? I think I've pieced together my issues.
- 1:17:44Speaker 6: I don't think I have any other issues. I've already
- 1:17:46Speaker 6: stated my issue. Not enough gator crunching and too much
- 1:17:49Speaker 6: political for me. I'm not a political person. I don't like.
- 1:17:54Speaker 5: It is a weird mixture with this movie.
- 1:17:57Speaker 6: I like my killer animal movies.
- 1:18:00Speaker 5: Dumb.
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: Dumb.
- 1:18:02Speaker 6: I do. I don't want them like.
- 1:18:03Speaker 5: Dumb and action-packed.
- 1:18:04Speaker 6: I don't want them to make me feel guilty about shit.
- 1:18:07Speaker 6: I don't want them, you know... What are you feeling
- 1:18:09Speaker 6: guilty about? It's just the whole... I don't know. I
- 1:18:12Speaker 6: don't need it.
- 1:18:13Speaker 5: I think you were on to a better movie then
- 1:18:16Speaker 5: because midway in when they still wouldn't show us the crocodile,
- 1:18:20Speaker 5: you threw out there that maybe there was a ghost gator.
- 1:18:23Speaker 5: And then I was like, man, I want to see
- 1:18:25Speaker 5: ghost gator.
- 1:18:25Speaker 6: I would totally watch.
- 1:18:28Speaker 5: Ghost gator. Ghost gator.
- 1:18:29Speaker 6: Ghost shark. A battle you will never see. Because they're ghosts.
- 1:18:36Speaker 4: But you could set it like in ghost gator versus
- 1:18:39Speaker 4: alien crocodile but no you.
- 1:18:41Speaker 5: Could take ghost gator and set it in new orleans
- 1:18:43Speaker 5: and then you'd have some sort of undead, crazy voodoo
- 1:18:47Speaker 5: thing going on.
- 1:18:48Speaker 6: Zombie sharks?
- 1:18:49Speaker 5: They'd raise up a Ghost Gator, and then maybe there'd be,
- 1:18:52Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 1:18:52Speaker 6: Zombie?
- 1:18:54Speaker 5: Maybe we'd just have zombies versus Ghost Gators, and I
- 1:18:56Speaker 5: don't know. You could have sharks. I think there's potential there, though.
- 1:19:00Speaker 5: There's some crazy stuff going on in New Orleans, and gators,
- 1:19:03Speaker 5: so we can work these two together. Let's start writing
- 1:19:06Speaker 5: that right.
- 1:19:07Speaker 6: I'm surprised sci-fi hasn't come up with that one yet,
- 1:19:09Speaker 6: considering some of the combinations we've seen so far.
- 1:19:11Speaker 5: They'll steal it from us.
- 1:19:12Speaker 6: We did watch Two-Headed Shark Attack. Have you seen Two-Headed
- 1:19:15Speaker 6: Shark Attack?
- 1:19:17Speaker 5: No, I've seen the trailer for Two-Headed Shark Attack.
- 1:19:19Speaker 14: Which just seems like you would get confused and not
- 1:19:22Speaker 14: really be able to do anything because both of them
- 1:19:23Speaker 14: would be trying to go in opposite directions. I really
- 1:19:28Speaker 14: don't see them working together because they're sharks and they're
- 1:19:31Speaker 14: probably kind of stubborn, you know?
- 1:19:34Speaker 4: I want to eat this no i want to eat
- 1:19:35Speaker 4: this person nothing ever happens i.
- 1:19:37Speaker 6: Want to eat the blonde no i want the brunette yeah.
- 1:19:40Speaker 4: They can't decide on the redhead so you know it's.
- 1:19:43Speaker 6: Like i i enjoy a good stupid fun killer animal
- 1:19:48Speaker 6: movie i like dino croc versus super gator or whatever
- 1:19:52Speaker 6: combination they're up i love sharktopus i love sharktopus was
- 1:19:56Speaker 6: cool sharktopus was pretty damn rowdy um I loved Sharknado.
- 1:20:02Speaker 6: I have no shame.
- 1:20:03Speaker 5: I don't even care.
- 1:20:04Speaker 4: Sharknado was pretty crazy.
- 1:20:07Speaker 6: It was fun. I liked it.
- 1:20:09Speaker 5: I enjoyed it.
- 1:20:09Speaker 6: It was awesome. I don't even care. It's like, I
- 1:20:14Speaker 6: think I already said Dino Croc.
- 1:20:16Speaker 8: Did I?
- 1:20:17Speaker 6: I don't even know. I love all the Super Shark,
- 1:20:21Speaker 6: Sand Shark, Snow Shark, Ghost Shark.
- 1:20:26Speaker 4: Oh, my God.
- 1:20:29Speaker 6: I love all those movies. I don't care. Don't judge me.
- 1:20:33Speaker 6: I love them all. They're fun.
- 1:20:37Speaker 4: They're not trying to shove political stuff in your face.
- 1:20:40Speaker 5: They're not.
- 1:20:40Speaker 6: There's no political.
- 1:20:41Speaker 5: Sci-fi doesn't even understand the political stuff.
- 1:20:44Speaker 6: There's no politics in Sandshark. You leave that shit at
- 1:20:47Speaker 6: the door.
- 1:20:47Speaker 5: The biggest thing you have to accept is that the
- 1:20:51Speaker 5: really dumb looking hot model girl puts her glasses on
- 1:20:55Speaker 5: and suddenly she's a scientist. As long as you can
- 1:20:58Speaker 5: stomach that, you are okay on those movies.
- 1:21:01Speaker 6: In Two-Headed Shark Attack, I'm pretty sure Carmen Electra, was
- 1:21:06Speaker 6: she a scientist or a doctor?
- 1:21:07Speaker 4: But did she put glasses on?
- 1:21:08Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:21:09Speaker 8: No.
- 1:21:09Speaker 4: Oh, my God.
- 1:21:10Speaker 5: She's got to put glasses on.
- 1:21:12Speaker 4: I thought she did. Was she a marine biologist? Is
- 1:21:15Speaker 4: that what it was?
- 1:21:15Speaker 6: Maybe that's what it was.
- 1:21:16Speaker 5: I mean, they don't have to have real lenses.
- 1:21:18Speaker 4: She was some kind of.
- 1:21:20Speaker 6: Brooke Hogan is always some kind of scientist.
- 1:21:24Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:21:25Speaker 5: She's some kind of something.
- 1:21:28Speaker 4: Yeah, she's really convincing.
- 1:21:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:21:32Speaker 6: She's always super smart in those movies.
- 1:21:36Speaker 4: She looks like she can barely read the lines.
- 1:21:40Speaker 5: You mean that if.
- 1:21:42Speaker 4: We take and synthesize these two alkaloids, then perhaps it
- 1:21:48Speaker 4: will blow it up in something. Chemical reaction.
- 1:21:53Speaker 5: Cut and print.
- 1:21:54Speaker 10: All right.
- 1:21:54Speaker 4: There you go.
- 1:21:55Speaker 5: We're all set.
- 1:21:56Speaker 6: That's the best you're going to get.
- 1:21:58Speaker 5: And it's sci-fi. They have a day and a half
- 1:22:00Speaker 5: to shoot those movies.
- 1:22:00Speaker 6: But I don't care. It's fun. I'm okay with that.
- 1:22:04Speaker 6: I can sit down and watch that kind of movie
- 1:22:06Speaker 6: and not worry about having to put too much thought
- 1:22:08Speaker 6: into it or too much effort into trying to understand.
- 1:22:10Speaker 4: Usually after we get off work on a Friday night.
- 1:22:14Speaker 5: I mean, it's true. There are plenty of times when
- 1:22:16Speaker 5: I'm just like, this looks like a good movie on
- 1:22:19Speaker 5: the queue up here. I'm not in the mood for it.
- 1:22:22Speaker 5: Sometimes you do just kind of want something not so investing.
- 1:22:26Speaker 5: Just something to watch.
- 1:22:28Speaker 6: I would recommend Shark Night and Bait. Not the one
- 1:22:32Speaker 6: with Jamie Foxx. Is it Jamie Foxx?
- 1:22:36Speaker 5: It is Jamie Foxx, I believe.
- 1:22:37Speaker 6: I was waiting. I knew you were going to be like,
- 1:22:38Speaker 6: Jamie Foxx?
- 1:22:39Speaker 5: I don't think I was even going there.
- 1:22:40Speaker 6: Bait's really good.
- 1:22:41Speaker 5: I was still stuck on the first one. Was it
- 1:22:43Speaker 5: Shark Night with an N or with a K in?
- 1:22:46Speaker 5: Maybe it's like a shark that plays chess.
- 1:22:49Speaker 6: I was going to say a shark knight with like
- 1:22:51Speaker 6: an armor.
- 1:22:52Speaker 4: Yeah, like an armored shark.
- 1:22:53Speaker 5: Either one.
- 1:22:54Speaker 4: It's been transported back into King Arthur's day.
- 1:22:57Speaker 2: Oh, Lord.
- 1:22:57Speaker 4: And he gets Excalibur.
- 1:22:58Speaker 5: Now it's like Black Knight, only he's a shark. As
- 1:23:02Speaker 5: long as we don't cast it as like the voice
- 1:23:04Speaker 5: of Martin Lawrence, I think I'm okay with that.
- 1:23:06Speaker 6: But yeah, I really, it was shark knight with an N.
- 1:23:09Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:23:09Speaker 6: Okay. Except for in shark.
- 1:23:10Speaker 5: No, it's just shark.
- 1:23:15Speaker 4: Shark shark night.
- 1:23:19Speaker 5: Nobody wants i don't want to see that.
- 1:23:21Speaker 6: At all but that one was fun although incredibly predictable
- 1:23:25Speaker 6: but fun nonetheless but bait was pretty awesome and i'm
- 1:23:28Speaker 6: pretty sure that was in australia.
- 1:23:30Speaker 4: Oh that one was pretty good i did like that
- 1:23:32Speaker 4: one that one's.
- 1:23:32Speaker 6: Pretty sharks in the grocery store a.
- 1:23:35Speaker 4: Little bit of a serious tone i could kind of
- 1:23:37Speaker 4: buy a part of it maybe It.
- 1:23:39Speaker 5: Can be a little silly. I mean, you can feel
- 1:23:40Speaker 5: like there's stakes in them so that you do kind
- 1:23:42Speaker 5: of worry about the people, but it's still got to
- 1:23:45Speaker 5: be fun.
- 1:23:45Speaker 4: Funny stakes.
- 1:23:46Speaker 5: Oh, God.
- 1:23:48Speaker 6: Shame on you.
- 1:23:50Speaker 10: Shame.
- 1:23:50Speaker 5: I think that should round out our animal discussions for
- 1:23:54Speaker 5: this week. Do you want to have some candy canes?
- 1:23:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:23:59Speaker 5: To wrap this thing up, as promised.
- 1:24:01Speaker 10: Do we need?
- 1:24:02Speaker 4: Did you promise?
- 1:24:04Speaker 5: You said earlier.
- 1:24:05Speaker 3: Oh, I did?
- 1:24:05Speaker 5: You are going to be guinea pig.
- 1:24:06Speaker 8: Oh, yeah.
- 1:24:07Speaker 5: Live on the show.
- 1:24:08Speaker 4: Wasabi candy canes.
- 1:24:10Speaker 6: Fancy. Don't forget the fancy part.
- 1:24:12Speaker 5: These are wasabi flavored candy canes.
- 1:24:18Speaker 6: Fancy.
- 1:24:18Speaker 5: I think we'll have to take a picture. Maybe we'll
- 1:24:20Speaker 5: post it on the old Facebook page.
- 1:24:22Speaker 6: If you need to do it before, you can bust
- 1:24:23Speaker 6: them all out.
- 1:24:23Speaker 4: Or as he's eating them. Just take the plastic off
- 1:24:26Speaker 4: of them.
- 1:24:26Speaker 6: Watch where you're waving that knife about, boyfriend. I like
- 1:24:29Speaker 6: both of my eyes where they are.
- 1:24:31Speaker 5: You said that was your strategy. Stab the croc in
- 1:24:35Speaker 5: the eye.
- 1:24:36Speaker 4: Yeah, really.
- 1:24:37Speaker 5: I'm serious.
- 1:24:37Speaker 6: It's like the crocodile is half in the vehicle at
- 1:24:40Speaker 6: one point and he's punching it in the nose. I'm like,
- 1:24:42Speaker 6: what are you doing? You put your thumbs in its eyes.
- 1:24:45Speaker 6: Stab it in the eyes.
- 1:24:46Speaker 4: Who's punching him in the nose?
- 1:24:48Speaker 5: He was stabbing in his face, but he wasn't really
- 1:24:51Speaker 5: hitting the eyes. He was like stabbing his tongue or something.
- 1:24:54Speaker 5: Don't hit the eyes.
- 1:24:55Speaker 2: Shit.
- 1:24:55Speaker 5: And be careful with Jojo. He's right there. He's already
- 1:24:58Speaker 5: been shot.
- 1:24:59Speaker 4: Jojo's been shot in this shark. Look at a shark.
- 1:25:03Speaker 6: Crocodile.
- 1:25:04Speaker 4: Crocodile's going ape shit in the back of the Range Rover.
- 1:25:07Speaker 6: In his lap.
- 1:25:09Speaker 4: Yeah. And that was another thing. Really quick. The Range Rover.
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: Stuck.
- 1:25:14Speaker 4: Stuck in the mud. Can't go anywhere. How's it going
- 1:25:17Speaker 4: to go anywhere? With a two-ton fucking crocodile rolling around
- 1:25:21Speaker 4: in the back of it. Then it goes somewhere.
- 1:25:23Speaker 2: He was pushing.
- 1:25:23Speaker 6: He was pushing.
- 1:25:24Speaker 5: He was helping. He was helping.
- 1:25:26Speaker 4: He was helping. I'm really not a bad guy. See,
- 1:25:28Speaker 4: I'm trying to help.
- 1:25:29Speaker 5: See, one more time, he helped him out.
- 1:25:31Speaker 4: I'm not trying to eat you. I'm just laughing.
- 1:25:34Speaker 5: You guys are hilarious. This script is hilarious.
- 1:25:43Speaker 4: And you know, the crocodile didn't die in this movie.
- 1:25:47Speaker 6: I know.
- 1:25:48Speaker 5: I kind of like that. He's still alive.
- 1:25:49Speaker 4: He's still alive to this day.
- 1:25:50Speaker 6: No, in the real world, he's still alive.
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: She Googled it.
- 1:25:52Speaker 6: I Googled it. Gustav is real.
- 1:25:54Speaker 4: Oh, he is?
- 1:25:55Speaker 5: Yeah. It is based on a true story, like they said.
- 1:25:58Speaker 4: Holy crap.
- 1:25:59Speaker 14: I always thought that was just one of those things
- 1:26:01Speaker 14: just to sell movies.
- 1:26:03Speaker 6: A lot of times it is.
- 1:26:04Speaker 5: The other thing she looked up, he's only about 60.
- 1:26:06Speaker 5: He's still got 40 years of eating people based on
- 1:26:09Speaker 5: their math.
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: Is he big?
- 1:26:10Speaker 4: Is he a big person?
- 1:26:11Speaker 6: 25 feet, supposedly.
- 1:26:12Speaker 4: 25 feet. How long is.
- 1:26:16Speaker 9: That?
- 1:26:17Speaker 6: 25 feet? Quarter of a football? Take a little over
- 1:26:21Speaker 6: five Mistys and.
- 1:26:25Speaker 5: Of course we measure everything on this show by the
- 1:26:26Speaker 5: misty scale. I do.
- 1:26:29Speaker 6: Usually I'm like, it's like eight misty feet long.
- 1:26:33Speaker 5: We really should see if we can get that changed
- 1:26:35Speaker 5: to the official. Screw this metric thing. I mean, I
- 1:26:37Speaker 5: know it makes sense and all, but no, no, we're
- 1:26:40Speaker 5: going with the misty feet.
- 1:26:42Speaker 4: This is like the hardest candy cane to get into.
- 1:26:44Speaker 4: What the hell?
- 1:26:45Speaker 6: It'd be smarter.
- 1:26:46Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:26:46Speaker 6: All right.
- 1:26:48Speaker 5: He's going in.
- 1:26:50Speaker 6: You're supposed to just suck on it. What are you doing? Oh,
- 1:26:52Speaker 6: it looks nasty. It looks like your face is not pleasant.
- 1:26:54Speaker 4: Well, I'm trying to determine.
- 1:26:56Speaker 6: You're supposed to suck on it until it's sharp and
- 1:26:58Speaker 6: pointy so you can stab people. Do you not know
- 1:27:00Speaker 6: how to eat a candy cane?
- 1:27:01Speaker 5: That's how I was operated as a kid.
- 1:27:03Speaker 6: Let's tell us how candy canes are eaten.
- 1:27:06Speaker 3: Me.
- 1:27:06Speaker 4: You're going to tell me how candy canes are eaten.
- 1:27:10Speaker 4: Expect me to follow how everybody else eats their fucking
- 1:27:13Speaker 4: candy cane. You should know better than this. We just
- 1:27:16Speaker 4: had a conversation about this. I will chew a fucking
- 1:27:19Speaker 4: candy cane.
- 1:27:21Speaker 6: How does it taste?
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: Interesting.
- 1:27:24Speaker 4: Because there is the wasabi.
- 1:27:26Speaker 5: It is there.
- 1:27:27Speaker 4: It's hot, like wasabi. But yet it's sweet, like a
- 1:27:32Speaker 4: candy cane.
- 1:27:33Speaker 6: Sounds disgusting.
- 1:27:35Speaker 4: It's not. You want to try one?
- 1:27:41Speaker 5: I don't know if I want a whole one. Chisel
- 1:27:44Speaker 5: off a piece of the other one. Break off a
- 1:27:45Speaker 5: piece of this.
- 1:27:46Speaker 4: Take yourself, fool. All right.
- 1:27:50Speaker 5: I will be a guinea pig as well.
- 1:27:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:27:52Speaker 6: Do you need a picture of your taste yet?
- 1:27:54Speaker 5: Probably not. It's weird already.
- 1:28:01Speaker 4: It's not bad.
- 1:28:01Speaker 6: Depends on if you like wasabi.
- 1:28:04Speaker 4: I love wasabi.
- 1:28:04Speaker 5: I'm not sure I'm all that on board with wasabi.
- 1:28:06Speaker 5: I just knew you were, and that's why I got it.
- 1:28:08Speaker 4: I love wasabi. I love wasabi peas. I love just
- 1:28:12Speaker 4: wasabi by itself. But then I also drink malt vinegar
- 1:28:16Speaker 4: out of the bottle, so.
- 1:28:17Speaker 5: I was going to say, it's very, like, mustardy.
- 1:28:21Speaker 6: That sounds disgusting. No, I do not.
- 1:28:23Speaker 11: Oh, come on.
- 1:28:24Speaker 5: It's like a vinegar-heavy mustard.
- 1:28:26Speaker 6: No, no.
- 1:28:28Speaker 7: Please.
- 1:28:28Speaker 5: No.
- 1:28:29Speaker 4: You've got to try it.
- 1:28:29Speaker 6: You know I hate wasabi. Why would you do this?
- 1:28:31Speaker 4: You've never tried wasabi.
- 1:28:33Speaker 6: I don't like it.
- 1:28:34Speaker 4: How do you know you don't like it?
- 1:28:35Speaker 6: Because I know I don't.
- 1:28:36Speaker 5: She has misty logic.
- 1:28:37Speaker 6: I have smelled your wasabi piece. They smell nasty.
- 1:28:39Speaker 2: I know.
- 1:28:40Speaker 6: Am not going to try this.
- 1:28:41Speaker 5: I'm pretty sure you're not going to like it.
- 1:28:44Speaker 6: I know exactly... Oh, my God. I hate when people
- 1:28:48Speaker 6: say that, and you know I hate when people say that.
- 1:28:50Speaker 6: You don't know what you're missing. I know exactly what
- 1:28:52Speaker 6: I'm fucking missing. Something I don't fucking want. That's exactly
- 1:28:55Speaker 6: what I'm missing.
- 1:28:55Speaker 5: Boyfriend, I'm going to punch you in the face.
- 1:29:00Speaker 6: You're going to be taking that candy cane out of
- 1:29:02Speaker 6: your ass.
- 1:29:04Speaker 5: Along with JoJo. Look what else I smuggled in. Wasabi
- 1:29:10Speaker 5: candy cane. I can't breathe.
- 1:29:21Speaker 4: Oh, shit.
- 1:29:32Speaker 6: Okay.
- 1:29:33Speaker 5: We got it under control. Are you sure?
- 1:29:35Speaker 6: No.
- 1:29:37Speaker 4: See, now, if you had.
- 1:29:39Speaker 5: That's kind of what I'm thinking right now.
- 1:29:43Speaker 4: Well, no, the vapor went up my nose.
- 1:29:46Speaker 5: You had the vapors.
- 1:29:48Speaker 4: Now, see, if you had a wasabi candy cane, it
- 1:29:52Speaker 4: would help you breathe.
- 1:29:52Speaker 6: And then I would vomit.
- 1:29:55Speaker 5: Maybe so. I don't know if we're sponsored by wasabi
- 1:29:59Speaker 5: candy canes after all.
- 1:30:00Speaker 4: I didn't expect the.
- 1:30:02Speaker 2: The.
- 1:30:05Speaker 7: The.
- 1:30:06Speaker 4: The vapor effect.
- 1:30:08Speaker 6: The nasal clearing.
- 1:30:09Speaker 4: The nasal clearing vapor action. The halls.
- 1:30:14Speaker 5: Yeah, were these put out by halls? The coop trimmings.
- 1:30:17Speaker 4: The what?
- 1:30:18Speaker 6: The coop trimmings.
- 1:30:20Speaker 3: Oh.
- 1:30:21Speaker 4: I thought you said something about coochie moves.
- 1:30:25Speaker 5: I saw a box of those too, actually.
- 1:30:27Speaker 4: I'm not sure if I wanted those.
- 1:30:30Speaker 2: No.
- 1:30:31Speaker 5: Made in China. And then Seattle. They shipped them to Seattle,
- 1:30:37Speaker 5: I'm assuming.
- 1:30:38Speaker 4: Oh man, that means it's got lead in them.
- 1:30:40Speaker 6: That's what helps clear out the nasal passages.
- 1:30:46Speaker 5: They do have fancy characters on them.
- 1:30:49Speaker 6: But they're made by accoutrements, aren't they? Or distributed by?
- 1:30:52Speaker 4: They're probably distributed by them.
- 1:30:54Speaker 5: It's right there. Distributed.
- 1:30:58Speaker 6: Made in China exclusively. For accoutrement.
- 1:31:02Speaker 12: Yes.
- 1:31:03Speaker 6: I'm probably saying that wrong, too.
- 1:31:04Speaker 4: So, if you like sushi.
- 1:31:05Speaker 5: China.
- 1:31:07Speaker 4: And if you like wasabi. And if you like a
- 1:31:10Speaker 4: little bit of sweetness to your wasabi, try the wasabi
- 1:31:13Speaker 4: candy canes. Well, you probably can't now.
- 1:31:16Speaker 5: You should have already snapped them up. Maybe next year
- 1:31:18Speaker 5: they'll be back around.
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: Maybe next year.
- 1:31:19Speaker 6: I thought it has the ingredient titanium dioxide.
- 1:31:22Speaker 5: I saw that, too.
- 1:31:23Speaker 6: Oh, really?
- 1:31:24Speaker 5: I was interested in that one.
- 1:31:25Speaker 3: Awesome.
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: As I'm eating this.
- 1:31:27Speaker 4: I wonder if that'll lace my skeleton. I mean, it's
- 1:31:30Speaker 4: not like adamantium, but titanium is pretty close.
- 1:31:34Speaker 6: You're going to have wasabi-coated bones.
- 1:31:37Speaker 5: Same thing they make the space shuttle out of.
- 1:31:39Speaker 6: You're going to have bone claws made out of wasabi
- 1:31:43Speaker 6: candy canes.
- 1:31:46Speaker 5: And then the villains will go, and they'll be like, oh,
- 1:31:48Speaker 5: look at those swirly colors. And then while they're being
- 1:31:51Speaker 5: dazzled by that, you'll stab them.
- 1:31:53Speaker 6: You know this is coming, right?
- 1:31:55Speaker 4: Oh, God.
- 1:31:56Speaker 3: Oh, God.
- 1:32:02Speaker 5: It knows how ridiculous we are and it does not
- 1:32:04Speaker 5: want to capture that moment.
- 1:32:07Speaker 6: You had to know that shit was coming.
- 1:32:09Speaker 5: Let me know if this needs to be the actual
- 1:32:12Speaker 5: shot for the episode. If we crop out the screen
- 1:32:18Speaker 5: on the bottom, is that our episode shot there?
- 1:32:21Speaker 6: That is pretty rowdy. Do you need the flash on, though?
- 1:32:25Speaker 5: I took some without it. Actually, that one's not bad.
- 1:32:28Speaker 5: That was the one right before. Otherwise, if you approve.
- 1:32:33Speaker 4: Or if you really wanted to, I could go in
- 1:32:34Speaker 4: the bathroom and try to make my hair up like over.
- 1:32:36Speaker 4: Because I got enough hair.
- 1:32:38Speaker 6: He's going to put a stupid hat on first.
- 1:32:41Speaker 5: That is how much you want to be into this idea.
- 1:32:46Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:32:46Speaker 5: I don't even get sweet out of them. I think
- 1:32:48Speaker 5: it's just wasabi in a hard candy form.
- 1:32:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:32:53Speaker 5: That's pretty much it.
- 1:32:55Speaker 6: Still good.
- 1:32:56Speaker 4: I don't think I can eat a whole.
- 1:32:57Speaker 2: One, though.
- 1:32:57Speaker 6: I can smell it.
- 1:32:58Speaker 4: I'm having a hard time powering through this.
- 1:33:01Speaker 5: I'm happy with the little piece I busted off of it. So, yeah,
- 1:33:04Speaker 5: I'm sticking with that.
- 1:33:04Speaker 4: I'm having a hard time powering through it.
- 1:33:07Speaker 5: All right, so I think we're rounding this out. Powered
- 1:33:10Speaker 5: by wasabi, we are rounding out this episode. Otherwise, that
- 1:33:15Speaker 5: about does it. We will return next week. Same geek time,
- 1:33:17Speaker 5: same geek feed. Thanks for listening.
- 1:33:41Speaker 2: What?
- 1:33:42Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:33:42Speaker 10: Can't see you at the last thought of a hand.
- 1:34:43Speaker 2: Now what?
- 1:34:43Speaker 10: Now what? So when my.
- 1:35:20Speaker 3: Blood goes, it's me who has the last fight.
- 1:35:59Speaker 2: Bye.
- 1:36:00Speaker 7: We will?
- 1:36:01Speaker 6: No, we won't.
- 1:36:01Speaker 9: Oh, okay.
- 1:36:02Speaker 5: That's up to you. Again, you're invited every week. Later. Now,
- 1:36:07Speaker 5: whether or not you show up for vegan-y pizzas is
- 1:36:11Speaker 5: up to you.
- 1:36:12Speaker 6: That sounds disgusting.
- 1:36:13Speaker 5: You gotta wait an hour more.
- 1:36:17Speaker 6: Actually, I... We didn't fight our way to the top
- 1:36:19Speaker 6: of the damn food chain to eat some goddamn bunny food.
- 1:36:22Speaker 4: Hell yeah.
- 1:36:23Speaker 7: This episode is a production of Movie Meltdown, produced and
