- 1:26Speaker 3: Indeed, thanks for showing up, Neil, who is.
- 1:31Speaker 4: Unfortunately your immune system has been compromised because of the
- 1:37Speaker 4: kidney they got they kick that you're borrowing.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Yes, we don't want to kick it out of my body. Hey,
- 1:43Speaker 2: you know.
- 1:44Speaker 4: I mean you're on some serious immune suppress.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Graph self set all this good?
- 1:50Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, really knocks your commune system down, all right, Amy,
- 1:54Speaker 4: Good morning, Hi Bill, Hi Cono.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Good morning. Is it as kidney or his weight, it's.
- 2:00Speaker 4: Both, It's it's well, you know what it is. He
- 2:05Speaker 4: eats very well, does he takes care of his body,
- 2:08Speaker 4: He exercises, and so you put all of that together. Uh,
- 2:13Speaker 4: and the kidney that was failing and he had to
- 2:16Speaker 4: go out and get in jealousy would end right yeah? Yeah,
- 2:22Speaker 4: and yeah, so yes, the answer to all that is yes.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Where's will Will you there?
- 2:27Speaker 2: I'm here?
- 2:28Speaker 3: Okay, I don't see you on the monitor, but that's okay.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Walk in the other room. He's right there, right here.
- 2:34Speaker 3: I know you are.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Are you on zoom? Yes? Huh could see me? I
- 2:39Speaker 2: see him.
- 2:39Speaker 3: I don't see him. I don't see him. Yeah.
- 2:42Speaker 4: For those of you that inside baseball don't know what's
- 2:44Speaker 4: going on the studio that I am in.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Uh?
- 2:48Speaker 4: And is there Neil under the weather is broadcasting from
- 2:51Speaker 4: home and then Kno's in the other room. I don't
- 2:54Speaker 4: see him, so we need a monitor. And Neil at home,
- 2:57Speaker 4: I need a monitor. Will there he is is in
- 2:59Speaker 4: the other room on the hall. I need a monitor
- 3:01Speaker 4: to see him. And Anne is in with me, so
- 3:04Speaker 4: just the two of us in studio. So that's why
- 3:06Speaker 4: we have monitors. Well, there you are, everybody. Yeah, it's
- 3:12Speaker 4: pretty much yet I think do we have a fair
- 3:15Speaker 4: amount to talk about it?
- 3:16Speaker 3: Of course we do, as always.
- 3:19Speaker 4: Okay, anything new before we get to the news, anybody, anybody?
- 3:23Speaker 3: Usually I have some new stuff, but I don't.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Ex thing.
- 3:29Speaker 3: Well said, no, really, not even that shirt. It's not shirt. No,
- 3:33Speaker 3: I got someone gave this to me. This is not
- 3:35Speaker 3: a costume. Yeah, it's just a weird shirt.
- 3:38Speaker 5: It really can't believe you didn't wear your Disney shirt today.
- 3:40Speaker 4: I should have didn't think about it. Didn't think about it.
- 3:45Speaker 4: It's well in the corner. I rarely see it, so
- 3:49Speaker 4: I could have gotten it, and you're right I should have.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Okay, let's do it, guys, it's.
- 3:54Speaker 4: Time for Handle on the news on this Friday, February
- 3:58Speaker 4: twenty seven with Amy and Neil and me lead Storry.
- 4:07Speaker 3: Well, today it's.
- 4:07Speaker 4: Bill Clinton's turn to testify in that House Committee quote
- 4:11Speaker 4: investigation of the House Oversight Committee run by Republican James Comer,
- 4:19Speaker 4: who is a Trump acolyte and just hates the Clintons.
- 4:25Speaker 4: Clearly the one against Hillary that when she testified yesterday,
- 4:30Speaker 4: I mean, they were crazy. She doesn't knowe Epstein. The
- 4:34Speaker 4: only connection she ever had was Julane Maxwell was at
- 4:39Speaker 4: her daughter Chelsea's wedding as a plus one. Never met
- 4:43Speaker 4: her or there's no proof that anybody introduced them, and
- 4:47Speaker 4: that is her connection.
- 4:49Speaker 3: Hours and hours, and it got to the point.
- 4:50Speaker 4: And she kept on saying I don't know her, I
- 4:52Speaker 4: don't know her, and then it spun off. All right,
- 4:58Speaker 4: let's talk about Pizzagate. Where Democrats are? You know, they
- 5:04Speaker 4: molested little children. There was a cabal of Democratic congress
- 5:08Speaker 4: people out of that pizza restaurant.
- 5:10Speaker 3: Let's talk about that.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Where did that one come from?
- 5:13Speaker 3: It started?
- 5:14Speaker 4: I don't even know how it started, but it became
- 5:17Speaker 4: the conspiracy, theorists, joy and a passion of theirs, and
- 5:22Speaker 4: it just made no sense. I wish Hillary had I
- 5:25Speaker 4: said God that said yeah, yeah.
- 5:29Speaker 3: We were there, yeah, that piece of place. You know,
- 5:32Speaker 3: I was there with Elvis.
- 5:33Speaker 4: And then we turned to the alien right, next to
- 5:36Speaker 4: us who was with us and said.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Here you are.
- 5:40Speaker 4: You know, what do you do with that? By the way,
- 5:41Speaker 4: that's story number two. So we're gonna skip that. But
- 5:43Speaker 4: today Bill Clinton is set to test fight. Now his
- 5:46Speaker 4: connection is not so tenuous.
- 5:50Speaker 2: He is makes it. You know, wouldn't you believe Hillary
- 5:53Speaker 2: now because why would he introduce why would he introduce
- 5:56Speaker 2: Hillary to his honeypot.
- 5:58Speaker 3: Yeah, it's true.
- 6:00Speaker 4: So his connection is there, and you know, we're going
- 6:04Speaker 4: to find out that they are. That he was with
- 6:09Speaker 4: Epstein a whole bunch of times, has never been on
- 6:12Speaker 4: the island, but he has used Epstein's plane with Epstein
- 6:16Speaker 4: on it. But that was in furtherance of the Clinton Foundation,
- 6:19Speaker 4: the Charitable Foundation, its efforts to raise money. And so
- 6:23Speaker 4: it's going to get a very interesting And there's that
- 6:25Speaker 4: picture of him in the hot tub with two women
- 6:29Speaker 4: whose faces have been blocked out redacted, and you can
- 6:34Speaker 4: see his toes going I did not have sex with
- 6:37Speaker 4: these women? Is big toe pointing in the hot tub?
- 6:44Speaker 4: Don't even know if he had a short sign always
- 6:47Speaker 4: see him is waist up? Don't know the answer to that.
- 6:54Speaker 5: We should mention Billy James Comer is heading this up
- 6:57Speaker 5: but this is a bipartisan thing. The Democrats are clamoring, Well.
- 7:00Speaker 4: Yeah, no, they were clamoring for actually the contempt citation
- 7:06Speaker 4: because the issue for the Democrats were that they refuse
- 7:09Speaker 4: to testify in an oversight committee or a committee hearing.
- 7:15Speaker 3: The problem is where do you go with these hearings?
- 7:19Speaker 4: Do you let the chairmanship, which is the opposing party,
- 7:23Speaker 4: get into stupidity and waste everybody's time.
- 7:27Speaker 5: It does feel like they just keep saying, let everything out,
- 7:30Speaker 5: let everything out, and every time they release anything, it's
- 7:32Speaker 5: really not like this major bombshell that everybody says it's
- 7:37Speaker 5: going to.
- 7:37Speaker 4: Be, except for the fact that it's still the argument
- 7:41Speaker 4: that there is stuff that has not been released yet.
- 7:45Speaker 4: It's still being a hidden or so the allegation is.
- 7:47Speaker 4: And the other point is there was an interview I
- 7:49Speaker 4: heard yesterday, I don't remember if it was on Fox
- 7:51Speaker 4: or CNN, and somebody and one of the experts that
- 7:57Speaker 4: was being interviewed was asked, is there going to be
- 7:59Speaker 4: a small king gun? And he said there already are
- 8:03Speaker 4: a thousand smoking guns, and that was an interesting, interesting quote. So, yes,
- 8:10Speaker 4: they do have the ability. I mean, the Congress has
- 8:13Speaker 4: to have the ability of subpoenaing people, there's no question,
- 8:16Speaker 4: but why not subpoening everybody? How about the owner of
- 8:19Speaker 4: the pizza parlor? Was there a cabal? Did democrats? Well,
- 8:25Speaker 4: lest children in the basement of your pizza parlor? Let's
- 8:28Speaker 4: have you in the know under oh for a few hours.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Well, well, KNO just said that pizza is mentioned in
- 8:34Speaker 2: the files over nine hundred times. Why would that be.
- 8:39Speaker 4: You know, Dominoes that delivered the pizza to that cabal,
- 8:43Speaker 4: which is very interesting because the defense because Domino was saying,
- 8:47Speaker 4: why would we deliver to a pizza parlor?
- 8:49Speaker 3: You see how that happens.
- 8:50Speaker 2: Oh, but you know what, Dominoes always fall.
- 8:54Speaker 3: I'm gonna learn.
- 8:57Speaker 2: So US and Iranian irony and officials yesterday made some
- 9:04Speaker 2: significant process progress, so says the Omani foreign minister. They're
- 9:11Speaker 2: saying that this all deals with Terran's nuclear program. You know,
- 9:17Speaker 2: they're talking about war there and the possibility of that.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Of course, President Trump likes to saber rattle, and he
- 9:25Speaker 2: is going to back it up, we imagine. But they
- 9:28Speaker 2: finished the day with what everyone is saying is significant progress.
- 9:32Speaker 3: There may be a deal. There may be a deal.
- 9:34Speaker 4: I mean they want the sanctions to be lifted. They
- 9:37Speaker 4: want their oil to be allowed to be sold. They
- 9:41Speaker 4: want their assets that are being frozen by the United
- 9:43Speaker 4: States and other Western countries.
- 9:45Speaker 3: To be released. So they have a lot to gain.
- 9:48Speaker 4: And I don't know how much they have to gain
- 9:49Speaker 4: in building a nuclear weapon because as soon as they
- 9:53Speaker 4: do is it's going to bomb the hell out of them.
- 9:55Speaker 3: So what's the upside for them?
- 9:57Speaker 4: But they're insisting, Oh, it's peaceful enrichment of uranium, of course,
- 10:02Speaker 4: and it's not. They're going for a weapons grade uranium.
- 10:04Speaker 4: They're a bunch of liars and domy. Do you believe
- 10:08Speaker 4: the o'mani foreign minister? His name is bad dear, I'll
- 10:14Speaker 4: kill you all beside me.
- 10:15Speaker 3: Do I have that right?
- 10:16Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure that you've mispronounced the middle name.
- 10:19Speaker 3: Okay, maybe it's a nick name.
- 10:22Speaker 5: Yeah, this could spark a surge. US mortgage rates dropped
- 10:28Speaker 5: below six percent. The average thirty year fixed mortgage fell
- 10:32Speaker 5: to five point nine eight percent for the first time
- 10:34Speaker 5: since twenty twenty two. According to Freddie mac because of
- 10:38Speaker 5: the high rates that we've seen for the last few years,
- 10:41Speaker 5: inventory has been scarce and prices were elevated because people
- 10:45Speaker 5: didn't want to leave their low interest homes that they
- 10:47Speaker 5: were in. But a mortgage rate starting with a five
- 10:49Speaker 5: apparently could nudge more buyers back into the market.
- 10:52Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a psychological line in the sand.
- 10:55Speaker 4: And once you push it, I mean, what's the difference
- 10:57Speaker 4: between five point nine to eight and six point zero one?
- 11:01Speaker 3: I mean nothing? You know, it's twenty five dollars a month, but.
- 11:05Speaker 4: You go under six and the longer we go beyond,
- 11:09Speaker 4: remembering three percent money, you know, at some point it's
- 11:13Speaker 4: just not going to be part of our psyche.
- 11:14Speaker 2: It's still is, But all money is psychological. The entire
- 11:18Speaker 2: stock market is based on emotion, not on well some
- 11:21Speaker 2: of it.
- 11:21Speaker 4: No, no, emotion has a big part, but some of
- 11:24Speaker 4: it is based on real widgets that real companies produce.
- 11:28Speaker 5: Well, I know that my house. I think I financed
- 11:30Speaker 5: it at five and a half percent when I first
- 11:32Speaker 5: bought it, and that was considered at the time really good.
- 11:35Speaker 5: Oh yeah, so you're really close to that.
- 11:37Speaker 3: Yeah we are.
- 11:37Speaker 4: No, it's still good even at six it's not bad
- 11:40Speaker 4: at all. Six and a half is not bad. But
- 11:42Speaker 4: it was three percent money? Did you why don't you
- 11:45Speaker 4: refinance it at three percent?
- 11:47Speaker 5: Because I'm not living in the home.
- 11:49Speaker 3: Oh, they wouldn't let you do that, Neil. Did you
- 11:53Speaker 3: refi your house at three percent? Oh?
- 11:55Speaker 2: Absolutely, we're under three percent, I believe. Yeah.
- 11:58Speaker 4: Yeah, wow, Kono, if you ever were to buy a house,
- 12:01Speaker 4: which of course you never will, would you have refined it?
- 12:04Speaker 3: Okay?
- 12:05Speaker 2: That helps. Oh, speaking of Cono buying a house, we're
- 12:08Speaker 2: putting together a gofundmeaing.
- 12:10Speaker 3: Buy a house. And did you refly?
- 12:15Speaker 2: I'm not sure?
- 12:16Speaker 3: Well there you go. Good answer. All right, moving on?
- 12:20Speaker 2: All right, LA schools in a crisis yet again. You've
- 12:25Speaker 2: got the LA Board of Education just yesterday met in secret.
- 12:29Speaker 2: You know, we heard about Carvallo the and what was
- 12:34Speaker 2: going on with the superintendent there, Alberto Carvallo. Yes, his
- 12:41Speaker 2: home and offices were raided by the FBI. And this
- 12:44Speaker 2: is obviously a big deal. It's tied to this weird situation.
- 12:49Speaker 2: The FBI raids appear to be related to an investigation
- 12:52Speaker 2: of all here it's a defunct company and we'll do
- 12:56Speaker 2: that at seven o'clock. There's a developed an AI chatbot
- 12:59Speaker 2: or something. So now they're looking at well, do we
- 13:02Speaker 2: put someone interim? Do we boot him? And we know
- 13:05Speaker 2: it's a four hundred and forty thousand dollars a year job.
- 13:09Speaker 3: It's a good gig. It's a good gig.
- 13:14Speaker 5: That's a lot of law breaking. A federal judge has
- 13:17Speaker 5: found that the IRS violated federal law approximately forty six
- 13:23Speaker 5: and ninety five times when it shared confidential taxpayer addresses
- 13:26Speaker 5: with immigration enforcement officials last summer. The ruling came down
- 13:30Speaker 5: as part of an ongoing litigation over a data sharing
- 13:33Speaker 5: arrangement between the IRS and the Department of Homeland Security.
- 13:37Speaker 3: Here's the problem.
- 13:38Speaker 4: You have a federal judge that said an agency in
- 13:40Speaker 4: the United States has violated the law. In further and
- 13:44Speaker 4: of course the administration and its philosophy, and who enforces
- 13:48Speaker 4: federal law, the DOJ, and what is the DAJOJ going
- 13:52Speaker 4: to dover ever enforce a ruling or a law that
- 13:56Speaker 4: is contrary to its interest. You know, for example, Tom
- 13:59Speaker 4: Holman and who is the immigration z are There is
- 14:03Speaker 4: video of him accepting money in a paper bag from
- 14:06Speaker 4: an FBI undercover agent and Pam Bondi said, We've investigated
- 14:11Speaker 4: it thoroughly and there there is no evidence that we
- 14:14Speaker 4: can go forward on. And let's talk about the legit
- 14:17Speaker 4: Letitia James case. UH she put she put down she
- 14:21Speaker 4: was a resident when she wasn't a resident. Therefore we
- 14:24Speaker 4: go on twenty years in jail for that, you know,
- 14:27Speaker 4: And so who are they going to go? You know,
- 14:28Speaker 4: the judge is going to say, Okay, here's what you
- 14:30Speaker 4: have to do. I mean, we're at a real impass.
- 14:32Speaker 4: We are at real impass.
- 14:34Speaker 2: I think we will ever trust government entity. No one
- 14:39Speaker 2: trusts the DJ nobody. You think it's going to be
- 14:42Speaker 2: that way? If there's a I think it's.
- 14:43Speaker 4: Gonna I think it's gonna take time. It's easier to
- 14:46Speaker 4: break than to put together, much easier easier to destroy
- 14:50Speaker 4: a reputation than it is to rebuild a reputation. Destroying
- 14:53Speaker 4: it takes no time. Building it back up takes a
- 14:56Speaker 4: very long time. And to your point, yes, all.
- 14:59Speaker 2: Right, Netflick has its last bow in this case in
- 15:04Speaker 2: regards to the Warner Brothers auction. So they had to
- 15:07Speaker 2: bow out. This reversal came because Warner Brothers Discovery switched
- 15:12Speaker 2: gears announcing that Paramounts revised new bid had top to
- 15:16Speaker 2: one on the table from Netflix. So it seems like
- 15:20Speaker 2: that is the direction they are going.
- 15:22Speaker 4: Yep, and we do that one at seven twenty because
- 15:25Speaker 4: that deal, even though they did come up with the money.
- 15:28Speaker 4: There are all kinds of sketchy facts about this and
- 15:33Speaker 4: one of the reasons that Netflix bowed out. I'll get
- 15:39Speaker 4: into it out at seven twenty. Are we doing for time? Yep,
- 15:42Speaker 4: we have time.
- 15:44Speaker 5: Green Peace is a losing a lot of it's green.
- 15:47Speaker 5: A judge in North Dakota said he will order green
- 15:50Speaker 5: Paste to pay green Peace to pay damages totaling about
- 15:55Speaker 5: three hundred and forty five million dollars in connection with
- 15:58Speaker 5: protests against the Dakota to Access oil pipeline from nearly
- 16:02Speaker 5: a decade ago. Of course, Greenpeace says, we don't have
- 16:05Speaker 5: that kind of money.
- 16:06Speaker 4: Yeah, and they don't. They don't, So I'm assuming that
- 16:08Speaker 4: green Peace is going to go bankrupt. And this had
- 16:11Speaker 4: to do with that demonstration where they just stopped everything.
- 16:14Speaker 4: They stopped, the building, they stopped and the Indian tribe
- 16:18Speaker 4: was part of that too. Thousands of people camp there
- 16:23Speaker 4: and it was I remember those those demonstrations.
- 16:28Speaker 2: Is there anything built constitutionally or otherwise that defines what
- 16:34Speaker 2: a protest is?
- 16:35Speaker 4: No, it's just no, no, no, Because if you start
- 16:38Speaker 4: defining protests, here's what says peaceful is the only thing.
- 16:41Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, but again, and that's in the eye
- 16:43Speaker 3: of the beholder.
- 16:45Speaker 4: So it's everything's with what a reasonable person or a
- 16:49Speaker 4: reasonable judge would decide. Because if you go through here
- 16:52Speaker 4: are here's what a peaceful protest is and you leave
- 16:56Speaker 4: out something, the law says that you purposely left it
- 16:59Speaker 4: out and therefore someone falls within that. Nope, We're okay,
- 17:04Speaker 4: we can do that. So it's pretty wide open. Well,
- 17:07Speaker 4: the constitution, how about this, the right to bear arms?
- 17:09Speaker 4: What does that mean? The right to assembly? What does
- 17:12Speaker 4: that mean? Unreasonable search and seizures? What's unreasonable? And the
- 17:18Speaker 4: laws have come out of that. For example, if you're
- 17:21Speaker 4: looking for an item you break on a search warrant,
- 17:24Speaker 4: legal search warrant.
- 17:25Speaker 3: You go into a house.
- 17:26Speaker 4: And you're looking for stolen guns and you see a
- 17:30Speaker 4: little box and they open it up and there is
- 17:34Speaker 4: You've got five grams or a pound of heroin in there.
- 17:37Speaker 4: That's an illegal search and seizure because they were looking
- 17:39Speaker 4: for weapons. The law is, it moves around a lot.
- 17:46Speaker 4: It does right to privacy which doesn't exist in the constitution,
- 17:50Speaker 4: and abortion and Roe v. Wade, I mean, all of it.
- 17:53Speaker 4: That's what I loved about constitutional law and a quick word.
- 17:56Speaker 4: This is actually what happened as I was graduating law
- 18:00Speaker 4: school and I was you know, my name was called,
- 18:02Speaker 4: and you know, the dean said, you know, Bill Handle,
- 18:06Speaker 4: shook my hand, handed me to diploma. Group of the
- 18:08Speaker 4: professors are on the stage. They are and my con
- 18:12Speaker 4: law professor, Hal Quadris, actually as I was passing, said Handle,
- 18:16Speaker 4: you are a travesty.
- 18:18Speaker 3: That is an absolutely, that is an absolute quote.
- 18:21Speaker 2: That is the best thing in the whole world higher education,
- 18:27Speaker 2: ladies and gentlemen. Yeah, all right, a little froggy, all right, block.
- 18:32Speaker 2: And this company owns like cash app and after pay
- 18:36Speaker 2: and Square I'm sure a lot of people use as
- 18:39Speaker 2: their point of service app. Nowadays, they're cutting their staff
- 18:43Speaker 2: by about forty percent. And this is the stuff that
- 18:47Speaker 2: Handle's been talking about a lot for the past year
- 18:50Speaker 2: or so, and that is AI got intelligence tools that
- 18:54Speaker 2: are taking over. And Dorsey, who is Jack Dorsey, who
- 18:59Speaker 2: is the founder, says, you know, companies are going to
- 19:02Speaker 2: follow suit in the near future. And they are laying
- 19:05Speaker 2: off four thousand people, reducing the workforce to just under
- 19:09Speaker 2: six thousand, so quite half. But it's knocking on that.
- 19:12Speaker 4: Yeah, but think of this Okay, they're going to It's
- 19:15Speaker 4: not as if the service provided is going to be
- 19:17Speaker 4: any less.
- 19:18Speaker 3: It's probably going to be better.
- 19:20Speaker 4: And they've cut four thousand, four thousand incomes or four
- 19:26Speaker 4: thousand pay paid employees, and so you're going to see
- 19:30Speaker 4: this company making buckets of money.
- 19:33Speaker 2: And I got to tell you, you know, we used
- 19:36Speaker 2: to be this college and I know you've talked about this.
- 19:38Speaker 2: We used to be this college focused culture. And now
- 19:43Speaker 2: if you're not working with your hands, you're probably going
- 19:45Speaker 2: to get replaced pretty quickly.
- 19:46Speaker 4: No. I was having that conversation with my kids. I
- 19:49Speaker 4: had dinner with them last night and we were talking
- 19:52Speaker 4: about how, you know, the jobs at Pamela, who is
- 19:56Speaker 4: a computer science is you know, computer code, et cetera,
- 20:00Speaker 4: get And she can't. She's thinking of just going in
- 20:02Speaker 4: a different direction. And so of course I bought dinner
- 20:07Speaker 4: because they don't have any money naturally.
- 20:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I got this now, the guy who talks for
- 20:14Speaker 2: a living, I got this.
- 20:15Speaker 4: Yeah, so it's going to be really, really tough as
- 20:19Speaker 4: AI becomes more and more used.
- 20:21Speaker 2: I use AI to code now when I'm building.
- 20:23Speaker 4: Yeah, you don't even have to have a coder anymore,
- 20:26Speaker 4: it does it all for you. Yeah, when you look
- 20:28Speaker 4: at websites, you can find where people used to create websites.
- 20:32Speaker 4: There are programs out there that do phenomenal jobs. They
- 20:36Speaker 4: give you templates and you put A and B and
- 20:39Speaker 4: F together and you've got a very professional website. Used
- 20:42Speaker 4: to pay thousands of dollars, they have someone do that. Yeah,
- 20:46Speaker 4: now it's six bucks a month for a subscription.
- 20:50Speaker 5: It was the biggest audience ever. No one has ever
- 20:53Speaker 5: seen anything like it, the President stated, the Union addressed
- 20:58Speaker 5: your thirty two point six millillion viewers, according to Nielsen.
- 21:01Speaker 5: Of course, in reality, it's the smallest audience he's received
- 21:04Speaker 5: for an annual speech to a joint session of Congress,
- 21:07Speaker 5: also the longest in State of the Union history. His
- 21:12Speaker 5: State of the Union in twenty eighteen drew in forty
- 21:17Speaker 5: five and a half million viewers forty six point eight
- 21:20Speaker 5: million in twenty nineteen.
- 21:23Speaker 4: How much of it you think, because it's Donald Trump,
- 21:26Speaker 4: and it really doesn't matter what he is going to say,
- 21:28Speaker 4: it's how it's how he is going to say it.
- 21:32Speaker 4: Because you have to admit this president, certainly, in my opinion,
- 21:35Speaker 4: is by far the most entertaining president we've ever had.
- 21:40Speaker 3: Also, the most successful to the press. And so for.
- 21:43Speaker 4: Example, even at thirty six million viewers, what was the
- 21:49Speaker 4: smallest audience that Joe Biden ever had. And keep in
- 21:53Speaker 4: mind Joe Biden's second year. They used the audio in
- 21:57Speaker 4: the video of Joe Biden and it won the award
- 22:02Speaker 4: from the American Association of Anesthesiologists.
- 22:07Speaker 2: He's the only president that Disney actually just put him
- 22:11Speaker 2: in the Hall of Presidents instead of making a fake one.
- 22:14Speaker 4: Yeah, and I think it makes sense that a lot
- 22:18Speaker 4: of people who would tune into Trump because of the
- 22:20Speaker 4: entertainment value, because of the bombas forget about the policy,
- 22:24Speaker 4: have already heard it a couple of times, So viewership
- 22:28Speaker 4: is going to go down.
- 22:29Speaker 2: Howard Stern's Private Parts movie came out and they said
- 22:33Speaker 2: that the people that loved him listened for an hour,
- 22:36Speaker 2: and they're like, what about the people that hate him?
- 22:38Speaker 2: They listen for three hours. So it's like tied to
- 22:41Speaker 2: one of those things.
- 22:41Speaker 5: I bet you're right, all right, Although I would love
- 22:45Speaker 5: to interject this please. Even people who like Donald Trump,
- 22:49Speaker 5: they know that he drones on and he is bombastic,
- 22:53Speaker 5: and I think some of those people were like, eugh,
- 22:56Speaker 5: I just can't do this.
- 22:57Speaker 4: Yeah, a lot of fatigue on both sides. By the way,
- 22:59Speaker 4: there are a lot of Trump fatigue, of course on people.
- 23:02Speaker 5: Who are the Democratic side.
- 23:04Speaker 4: But I mean, you're right the Republicans. Is Trump fatigue,
- 23:06Speaker 4: not policy wise, Yeah, but just do come on, guy,
- 23:10Speaker 4: we've heard that before. You just took an hour and
- 23:12Speaker 4: a half to do a twenty minute speech that could
- 23:15Speaker 4: have been in an email. Yeah. I don't know if
- 23:17Speaker 4: the sign is also in the women's restroom. There's a
- 23:20Speaker 4: sign though, in the men's restroom on the sink on
- 23:23Speaker 4: the counter that says wash your hands. Yeah, they do.
- 23:27Speaker 4: They have a video in there. Is that what's going on?
- 23:31Speaker 2: I thought it was weird that it was direct was
- 23:33Speaker 2: directed specifically to John Cobel.
- 23:36Speaker 4: Yeah, I know it's I think it is. It says John,
- 23:38Speaker 4: wash your hands. No, it's really weird with one of those.
- 23:42Speaker 2: No, it's a big blue and white yeah.
- 23:43Speaker 4: Yeah, wash your and it shows that drawing of people
- 23:47Speaker 4: washing their hands with the water thing. It's as sort
- 23:49Speaker 4: of the international symbol of washing your hands.
- 23:51Speaker 3: But it's really weird.
- 23:53Speaker 2: Do they have one in the lady's restroom.
- 23:56Speaker 5: I haven't been in there this morning, And have you
- 23:58Speaker 5: been in there?
- 23:59Speaker 3: You've been in the lady's room. Kno, have you been
- 24:01Speaker 3: in the lady's room? Okay, excellent? And do they have
- 24:04Speaker 3: that sign? Yeah, it's so weird.
- 24:07Speaker 6: I've witnessed people not wash their hands. Well I understand,
- 24:09Speaker 6: but disgusting. It is disgusting. It is disgusting except when
- 24:14Speaker 6: I go to the gym. I don't wash my hands,
- 24:17Speaker 6: uh leaving the bathroom because I go to the gym,
- 24:19Speaker 6: because my hands immediately are on all those bars and
- 24:23Speaker 6: pieces of equipment that people have such cooties on that
- 24:26Speaker 6: Anything I do beforehand wouldn't change anything.
- 24:29Speaker 2: What he's adding more cooties to the bar.
- 24:32Speaker 3: Nothing compared to the cooties that were already there. Believe me.
- 24:35Speaker 3: I mean there are people. There are people that I
- 24:37Speaker 3: you know.
- 24:37Speaker 2: Has who care.
- 24:38Speaker 4: I'm well, but okay, maybe I should have admitted that.
- 24:42Speaker 4: But there are people at the gym. I mean, you got,
- 24:44Speaker 4: you know, people that had just been on the bar
- 24:46Speaker 4: and you know, open superating sores and you know, pussy.
- 24:53Speaker 3: Good morning, everybody. Anybody want breakfast? How about ote meal?
- 24:56Speaker 3: What do you think? Okay? Moving?
- 25:02Speaker 2: Wait, why did I get the weight loss story in
- 25:06Speaker 2: oh ooh hm hmmm? We were close? Shut up? Cono.
- 25:13Speaker 2: This is for people above four feet tall. All right,
- 25:17Speaker 2: if you're planning weight loss, you know, we everyone's talking
- 25:19Speaker 2: about that GLP one you know stuff. And now there's
- 25:24Speaker 2: a pill form not just the shots. Well there is
- 25:27Speaker 2: this gastric balloon. Now we've had things like this in
- 25:32Speaker 2: the past, but the Allurion or whatever gastric balloon system
- 25:37Speaker 2: is approved by the FDA. Now, uh, stay to the
- 25:40Speaker 2: art innovation. You swallow it, they fill it with saline
- 25:44Speaker 2: and it ends up making your stomach smaller without surgery.
- 25:48Speaker 2: So it's kind of an interesting thing that another way. Yeah,
- 25:53Speaker 2: but the reality is you still get fat even with
- 25:55Speaker 2: a balloon because your stomach ends up stretching anyway. It
- 25:59Speaker 2: has an extra ordinary amount stretch. It could once you
- 26:03Speaker 2: get a ruin why or a sleeve.
- 26:06Speaker 3: No, your stummay I have the ruin why? And my
- 26:09Speaker 3: stomach stretches. Yeah, my stomach stretched enormously. And that's what
- 26:14Speaker 3: it does.
- 26:15Speaker 4: I mean, that's the only thing on you that grow
- 26:18Speaker 4: very nice, the only thing that stretches enormously. Yeah, thank
- 26:22Speaker 4: you very much, ok, sorry pal? Yeah, and that's why
- 26:25Speaker 4: you're not say goodbye. By the way, we won't be
- 26:28Speaker 4: seeing Neil here.
- 26:29Speaker 5: On that, Yeah, small businesses maybe getting a bigger break.
- 26:34Speaker 5: The LA City Council has directed its city staff to
- 26:37Speaker 5: take a look at the possibility of raising the financial
- 26:41Speaker 5: threshold of its small business tax exemption program. So the
- 26:46Speaker 5: program originally eliminated taxes on very small businesses with grocery
- 26:51Speaker 5: septs of less than five thousand dollars, but then it
- 26:54Speaker 5: increased it to fifty thousand, and then in two thousand
- 26:56Speaker 5: and six was increased to one hundred thousand to be
- 26:59Speaker 5: tax exist and they're now looking at whether to raise
- 27:02Speaker 5: that even further.
- 27:03Speaker 3: Now, let's get real.
- 27:05Speaker 4: A business doing one hundred thousand dollars a year is
- 27:08Speaker 4: not even a business. I mean, it doesn't even qualify
- 27:13Speaker 4: to be to be described as a business. Small businesses
- 27:19Speaker 4: are a quarter of a million, a million dollars several
- 27:22Speaker 4: million dollars a year, So you know it's a LA
- 27:26Speaker 4: is a great place to do business. I used to
- 27:28Speaker 4: have my address in LA and there was my bill
- 27:31Speaker 4: I had to pay every year to the City of
- 27:33Speaker 4: Los Angeles. Forget about the franchise tax board. That was
- 27:37Speaker 4: another one. So I don't think it's a big deal,
- 27:40Speaker 4: at least I don't think so Okay, now we got
- 27:43Speaker 4: a bigger deal.
- 27:44Speaker 2: All right. So about four years ago, you got places
- 27:47Speaker 2: like skid Row and boil Heights feeling like they got
- 27:50Speaker 2: to win big w there because they were going to
- 27:52Speaker 2: build new sidewalks, put bike lanes in that were pretty tested.
- 27:58Speaker 2: Yeah that nobody uses in LA. Actually in our part
- 28:01Speaker 2: of town, they do. They do.
- 28:03Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I've seen two bikes in my neighborhood in
- 28:05Speaker 5: the last five years.
- 28:07Speaker 2: And she sits out there with a gun turret. Get
- 28:10Speaker 2: those sackless out here, get a gas machine. But now
- 28:17Speaker 2: they're kind of bummed because more than one hundred million
- 28:19Speaker 2: from the state for transportation projects like these in the
- 28:25Speaker 2: neediest parts of Los Angeles are in jeopardy. The city
- 28:27Speaker 2: officials say they don't have enough staff to complete the projects.
- 28:30Speaker 2: You know, I'm hearing a lot of issues built with
- 28:34Speaker 2: transportation projects. Some are even saying that LA doesn't want
- 28:37Speaker 2: to repave roads or fix them because they'll have to
- 28:41Speaker 2: put in bike lanes, which are more costly and this,
- 28:44Speaker 2: so they're kind of pushing the side. Just rumors, but
- 28:48Speaker 2: things that I hear.
- 28:49Speaker 4: Yeah, we don't a million potholes, still say stay a
- 28:54Speaker 4: million potholes.
- 28:55Speaker 3: After a rain.
- 28:56Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, I used to The Persian Palace was
- 29:00Speaker 4: in the same neighborhood that one of the city council,
- 29:03Speaker 4: our council person was in. Let me tell you, every
- 29:05Speaker 4: pothole anywhere near my house was filled that day as
- 29:10Speaker 4: soon as the rain stopped.
- 29:12Speaker 2: That's what it takes.
- 29:15Speaker 5: An American was killed in the waters off Cuba. That
- 29:18Speaker 5: really bizarre thing that happened about a mile off Cuba's
- 29:23Speaker 5: north coast when there was Cuban border guards and a
- 29:27Speaker 5: group of individuals in a boat got into a gunfight.
- 29:30Speaker 5: The boat was registered to the US. Four people were killed,
- 29:35Speaker 5: six others in the boat were injured. They were taken
- 29:38Speaker 5: to the hospital. Officials confirmed that along with one person
- 29:43Speaker 5: being an American, another person in the boat was holding
- 29:46Speaker 5: a K one visa that allows foreigners to come into
- 29:49Speaker 5: the US to marry an American citizen.
- 29:51Speaker 3: Yeah, and it was reported stolen in Florida.
- 29:54Speaker 4: In Florida. Yeah, and I heard trying to figure this out.
- 29:58Speaker 4: I heard one a commentator said that he thought that
- 30:03Speaker 4: this was part of a smuggling ring, that they smuggled
- 30:07Speaker 4: people out of Cuba, and they do that on a
- 30:09Speaker 4: regular basis, and they just the Cuban authorities just happened
- 30:12Speaker 4: to have cotton one. They you know, the Cuban Coast
- 30:16Speaker 4: Guard comes up there and goes, who the hell are you,
- 30:18Speaker 4: and then they are that firefight.
- 30:20Speaker 3: That opens up.
- 30:21Speaker 5: But isn't this interesting that Cuban ministry said that there
- 30:24Speaker 5: were assault rifles, handguns, molotov cocktail, yes, bulletproof vests, telescopic sites,
- 30:31Speaker 5: and Camo uniforms on the speedboat.
- 30:34Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 30:34Speaker 4: Well yeah, doesn't that? Doesn't that get weird in and
- 30:38Speaker 4: of itself? And we don't know how legitimate that is.
- 30:40Speaker 4: I'm assuming they videoed it, and I'm assuming the video
- 30:43Speaker 4: would be released. I mean, that clears up a lot
- 30:46Speaker 4: of questions. All right, we are done, guys. This is
- 30:49Speaker 4: KFI AM six forty.
- 30:51Speaker 3: You've been listening to the Bill Handle Show. Catch my
- 30:54Speaker 3: Show Monday through Friday six.
- 30:55Speaker 4: Am to nine am, and anytime on demand
- 30:59Speaker 3: On the Iheartratio Yo app
