- 0:00Speaker 1: Payton just got married Hellong two months ago, March, four
- 0:03Speaker 1: months ago, in March. In March, so give us an
- 0:07Speaker 1: update on wedding life, because the wedding kind of was
- 0:09Speaker 1: a little impromptu.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Yeah, it was a lot of impromptu. We canceled our
- 0:13Speaker 2: huge two hundred and fifty person wedding and got married
- 0:15Speaker 2: in Vegas, and it was truly the best decision that
- 0:18Speaker 2: we could have ever made. And earlier in the month
- 0:20Speaker 2: of June, we had a big open house wedding reception
- 0:23Speaker 2: kind of like party, just to get all of our
- 0:25Speaker 2: friends and family together because not everyone was able to
- 0:27Speaker 2: make it to Vegas since it was so last second. Well,
- 0:30Speaker 2: from our reception, we got a ton of cash.
- 0:33Speaker 3: Quite honestly, we.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Got a lot of cash. We got a lot of checks,
- 0:36Speaker 2: but we ran into the issue. We're on a lot
- 0:38Speaker 2: of the checks. It's addressed as Peyton and Kadeem Strickland.
- 0:42Speaker 2: We don't have a joint bank account, therefore we cannot
- 0:45Speaker 2: cash these checks. Yeah, so they've kind of just been
- 0:48Speaker 2: sitting like in my little filing cabinet that I had
- 0:50Speaker 2: at home.
- 0:51Speaker 3: And yesterday we did the biggest adult.
- 0:54Speaker 4: Thing and went and opened up a joint checking account together. Yeah, like, wait,
- 0:59Speaker 4: look at us like we're getting stuff done. But I
- 1:02Speaker 4: will say I don't know when that awkward phase goes
- 1:06Speaker 4: away or not. But when she asked us what our
- 1:09Speaker 4: relationship was and I told her married, I like kind
- 1:11Speaker 4: of like recoiled.
- 1:12Speaker 5: I was like, that's a thing.
- 1:23Speaker 2: It was like I was the same thing though, and
- 1:25Speaker 2: it was like he was my boyfriend and then he
- 1:27Speaker 2: was my fiance, Like it felt kind of weird, and
- 1:30Speaker 2: now he's my husband, and it's just like just so
- 1:33Speaker 2: weird because I've always wanted this.
- 1:36Speaker 3: But then again, I'm like, am I too young for this?
- 1:39Speaker 6: For checking account? Too young to be married to.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Be married, too to be young to have a joint
- 1:43Speaker 2: bike account, too young to have the house with him?
- 1:45Speaker 3: I'm like, is this okay?
- 1:47Speaker 6: You're going to You're almost twenty eight? The adulting?
- 1:50Speaker 3: Yeah, it's kind of scary.
- 1:53Speaker 6: What else are you doing this adult thing?
- 1:55Speaker 3: Other than getting our checking account?
- 1:58Speaker 2: I actually went on to the Social Security website to
- 2:01Speaker 2: officially legally change my last name.
- 2:03Speaker 5: I was going to ask that because if the chech
- 2:05Speaker 5: was addressed to Peyton Strickland, then that might also pose
- 2:10Speaker 5: an issue.
- 2:10Speaker 3: Exactly Strickland.
- 2:13Speaker 6: Oh, Strickland. Go, said Barbara, Go with Kennedy Schwarzenegger. Do
- 2:21Speaker 6: you pick whatever name you want.
- 2:23Speaker 2: I could pick whatever name I wanted, but I think
- 2:26Speaker 2: I want his last name.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Okay, like a pain in the butt to change your
- 2:30Speaker 3: last name a little bit. I just have to go
- 2:32Speaker 3: to Social Security first, and then you have to do
- 2:34Speaker 3: all the other stuff.
- 2:35Speaker 6: You like, got to go to the office.
- 2:36Speaker 3: No, I can do it online.
- 2:37Speaker 6: Oh you can. It's a lot of paperwork, Trina, you're
- 2:40Speaker 6: adulting right now.
- 2:41Speaker 7: Well, yeah, I'm trying to, and it's sort of backfiring.
- 2:45Speaker 7: I feel like all the people who have their lives
- 2:46Speaker 7: together have like an emergency fund, you know, that they've
- 2:50Speaker 7: built up, and so I've been really trying to build
- 2:53Speaker 7: one for myself, and you know, putting a lot of
- 2:56Speaker 7: you know, my earnings in there. And I've been feeling
- 2:58Speaker 7: pretty secure for the time, like I have a little
- 3:01Speaker 7: nest egg in case anything bad should happen. And I
- 3:03Speaker 7: was feeling so proud of myself, and then of course,
- 3:06Speaker 7: out of the blue, I get a call from my
- 3:08Speaker 7: landlord that there's been no joke. I'm you can't make
- 3:12Speaker 7: this up. A ferret living inside my walls, and so
- 3:18Speaker 7: I have to pay to get all new, like he's
- 3:20Speaker 7: not going to cover it. I have to pay to
- 3:21Speaker 7: get all new like paneling, and like the ferret like
- 3:25Speaker 7: chewed all of the wirings for my TV, so now
- 3:28Speaker 7: I have to like replace all of that. And then
- 3:30Speaker 7: within the same week, my AC unit died, and then
- 3:34Speaker 7: I got a call from my dentist saying that they
- 3:37Speaker 7: were going to deny my claim for a new crown
- 3:39Speaker 7: because like insurance looking at to cover it whatever. So
- 3:41Speaker 7: now I have to pay out of pocket for that.
- 3:43Speaker 7: And so literally within a week or like less, like
- 3:47Speaker 7: within like seventy two hours, my entire nest egg is
- 3:51Speaker 7: like totally drained.
- 3:52Speaker 6: Oh that's terrible. Hold on, hold on.
- 3:56Speaker 1: This is perfect timing because I mean, sorry about the ferret,
- 4:00Speaker 1: but there's this video from twenty twenty four that's reviraling.
- 4:03Speaker 6: It's being picked up again everywhere.
- 4:05Speaker 1: And I don't know if you remember this store about
- 4:06Speaker 1: this woman who was feeding raccoons near her house and
- 4:09Speaker 1: it got out of control where she was surrounded by
- 4:11Speaker 1: one hundred raccoons.
- 4:12Speaker 6: I remember she called nine on one. It sounds like
- 4:15Speaker 6: this sounds like.
- 4:16Speaker 5: Trina, I need an officer.
- 4:18Speaker 3: I'm right in my car.
- 4:19Speaker 6: They chased me all.
- 4:20Speaker 7: The way out through the backyard. You're not able to
- 4:22Speaker 7: get out of your car. You're stuck in your vehicle.
- 4:25Speaker 3: They know that you're a source of food.
- 4:26Speaker 1: So I went thirty out.
- 4:29Speaker 5: Oh, this is just this is probably one thing.
- 4:32Speaker 7: A third of them, these big ones they fight.
- 4:36Speaker 3: This call came out. I thought you were playing well,
- 4:39Speaker 3: so I had to come out here and see.
- 4:40Speaker 6: So you're looking at it all wrong. You only have
- 4:42Speaker 6: one ferret she.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Has was that something or something that they lost before
- 4:49Speaker 1: you moved in?
- 4:49Speaker 6: Had to be I guess, so, didn't you?
- 4:53Speaker 2: Yea.
- 4:54Speaker 7: I sincerely hope that that is what it is.
- 4:56Speaker 5: It seems weird that you'd be responsible for it if
- 4:58Speaker 5: it's not your ferret.
- 5:00Speaker 7: I thought so too. I was like, excuse me, Like
- 5:02Speaker 7: I don't have any pets. Also, the other thing is
- 5:05Speaker 7: our building technically doesn't allow pets, So like, whoever s
- 5:09Speaker 7: ferreit this is, that's just roaming around Like they should
- 5:11Speaker 7: pay for me.
- 5:12Speaker 6: Yeah, I know, an adulting horrible. Thanks Trina, have a
- 5:19Speaker 6: great day. You know. It reminds me this just happened
- 5:22Speaker 6: the other day too. Wow, this happens to me every
- 5:24Speaker 6: couple of years.
- 5:25Speaker 1: I was doing something and I was with my son Kemp,
- 5:28Speaker 1: and he goes, hey, Dad, and I'm like, whoa, I'm
- 5:31Speaker 1: that guy's dad.
- 5:34Speaker 6: I swear. It freaks me out. Well, how can I
- 5:37Speaker 6: possibly be this guy's dad?
- 5:38Speaker 1: My my brain tells me I'm exact same age as him,
- 5:42Speaker 1: but she's called me dad, and I put my arm
- 5:44Speaker 1: around him, and I'm all proud, like I'm like this right,
- 5:47Speaker 1: I am your dad.
- 5:49Speaker 6: I can't explain it. I never answered this question.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Yeah, whatever, it was, because I got sidetracked in my
- 5:53Speaker 1: brain thinking about how I'm this guy's dad.
- 5:55Speaker 6: This guy.
- 5:56Speaker 1: It's such a weird feeling to me still, you know,
- 5:59Speaker 1: it's so weird.
- 6:00Speaker 6: It just goes by so fast
