- 0:01As with physical laws and laws of physics, laws of nature,
- 0:08there are laws of occultism which operate when there is
- 0:11vital interchange between people on an occult level.
- 0:16Knowledge of these laws is essential both to protect
- 0:19oneself and to ensure that occult powers are not being
- 0:23misused or misapplied. Practicing occultism is not
- 0:28something that can be taken up lightly or without proper
- 0:31training and preparation, and the consequences can be
- 0:36significant. Spiritual aspirants are mainly
- 0:40advised not to focus on nor engage in such practices as they
- 0:45tend to distract from the focus on spiritual development and
- 0:49because they tend to be based in the energies of the lower
- 0:53chakras, tend to bind the individual at a relatively low
- 0:57level of energetic development. One of the laws or secrets of
- 1:02occultism is described by the Mother as the Law of Rebound.
- 1:08Essentially, this means that if a particular occult formation is
- 1:12created and does not achieve its target, it comes back upon the
- 1:17person who created it in the 1st place as something of a
- 1:21boomerang effect. There are lessons to be gained
- 1:24here for protection from such formations.
- 1:28To the extent that the target of such a formation is able to
- 1:31maintain a pure, clean and high vibratory level, such formations
- 1:37will not succeed on them and thus the sender will wind up
- 1:41suffering the consequences. The target must be receptive to
- 1:46the energy of that formation in order for it to work on him.
- 1:50From the point of view of a creator of such a formation,
- 1:54there must be real care taken to ensure that it is a necessary
- 1:59and suitable formation that meets the energetic receptivity
- 2:03of the recipient. The great Tibetan Yogi Millarapa
- 2:07was subject to the jealousy of a local village priest late in his
- 2:11life. The priest determined to arrange
- 2:15to have Millarapa poisoned, and in carrying out that intention
- 2:19he offered a village woman money to provide poisoned Kurds to
- 2:23Millarapa. When the woman approached,
- 2:26Millarapa as a fully realized soul at that stage knew what was
- 2:32taking place, and he told the woman that she should first
- 2:36insure that she was fully paid by the perpetrator.
- 2:41The situation proceeded where Millarapa agreed to eat the
- 2:45poisoned Kurds and manifest his bodily death.
- 2:50The priest came to witness the situation and he saw Miloruppa
- 2:53sitting calmly. Miloruppa advised him that he
- 2:57was carrying an intense amount of pain, but through his yogic
- 3:01practice he was able to keep it under control.
- 3:05The priest did not believe any of this and asked Miloruppa to
- 3:09transfer the pain to him so he could see for himself the
- 3:13reality of it. Miloruppa refused, indicating
- 3:17that it was more than the priest could bear, but he would
- 3:21transfer just a fraction of the pain to the door, which then
- 3:25started creaking and groaning under the intensity of the
- 3:28energy. The priest asked for forgiveness
- 3:33in doubting the yogic realizations of Millarapa.
- 3:36In this case, the priest created a formation which ordinarily
- 3:41would have rebounded upon him, but out of his vast compassion,
- 3:46Melarepa accepted the formation and refused to have it rebound
- 3:51upon the priest. His higher compassion opened the
- 3:55door for the priest to make progress spiritually, which
- 3:58would not have occurred had it simply been allowed to rebound
- 4:03upon him. There are innumerable tales in
- 4:07the text about occult formations that are targeted and sent and
- 4:10which fail to find or fulfil their targeted intentions and
- 4:15the suffering that the creator of the formation then had to
- 4:18undergo. Those who try to manipulate the
- 4:22vital forces for various forms of self-interest or personal
- 4:26gain in some form frequently overlook the law of rebound and
- 4:31the consequences of attacking those who have the natural state
- 4:36of high spiritual vibrations to maintain an aura of protection
- 4:40around themselves, the Mother observes.
- 4:44Quote in occultism there is the rebound.
- 4:49You send out a bad thought, it returns to you as an attack.
- 4:54That is exactly one of the reasons why you must have a
- 4:57complete control over your feelings, sensations, thoughts.
- 5:02For if you become angry with someone or think badly of him,
- 5:07or if still worse you wish him ill, well in your very dream you
- 5:11see this person coming with an extreme violence to attack you.
- 5:16Then if you do not know these things, you say why I was right
- 5:21in having bad thoughts against him.
- 5:24But in fact, it is not at all that it is your own thought that
- 5:29comes back to you, and the person may be absolutely unaware
- 5:34of all that has happened for. And this is one of the commonest
- 5:39laws in occultism. If you make a formation, for
- 5:43instance a mental formation, that an accident or something
- 5:47unpleasant should happen to a certain person, and you send out
- 5:51this formation, if it so happens that this person is in a very
- 5:56high state of consciousness, does not at all wish anything
- 6:00bad, is quite indifferent and disinterested in the affair, the
- 6:05formation will come up against his atmosphere and instead of
- 6:08entering, will rebound upon the one who has made it.
- 6:13In this way serious accidents have taken place.
- 6:17There were certain people who practiced that low deformation
- 6:20of occultism which is called magic, and they had made
- 6:23formations through magic against someone, but this person
- 6:27happened to be far above this and could not be touched by
- 6:31those formations, so they returned upon those people
- 6:35fatally. If they had made a formation of
- 6:39death, it would have been they who died.
