  [SPEAKER_00]: It feels like they're in a good spot, but it also feels like there's a lot of angst about this

  [SPEAKER_00]: nationally, locally, among the fan base, that's kind of what happens in the NFL when you lose a football game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Analysis is very week to week, especially this early in the season.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There's six and five, Sean McVan, the Rams also have a good record across the pond though.

  [SPEAKER_00]: from a purely just taking a look at the numbers of wins and losses the jackores have some big advantage here over against the Rams and London now the Rams did play against the Ravens this week they've been staying in Baltimore area.

  [SPEAKER_00]: and then they'll be traveling over late.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars are already inland and they got there on Monday, evening, Tuesday morning.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So Jaguars are playing the, let's get over their early game and have some camaraderie and a lot of time with each other with the team, all that stuff.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Rams, they're gonna spend a lot of time with each other as well, but most of it's gonna be in the Baltimore area before they travel over late.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So two teams doing it a different way,

  [SPEAKER_00]: One thing I want to say, this is not a must win game in the traditional sense of the word, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: This is not a game in which if you lose your cooked, it's over, you stick a fork and you're done, anything like that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I do think it's a must win in some ways.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguar's goals are not simply to like, eat out a wild card birth to be, you know, 9 and 8 or 10 and 7 and sneak into the wild card on the last week of the season.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That's not their goal this year, internally.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars goal is to win their division, and to win in the playoffs, they've set as much.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They are aggressively pursuing, according to James Gladstone, the GM of your Jacksonville Jaguars, being the best that they possibly can be in 2025 this year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They're not just building for a long term thing here, they're trying to win right now.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They want to win their division, they want to host a home playoff game, they want to win in the playoffs, they want to do everything they possibly can to do that this year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So in that sense, like if you want that goal to remain very tangible and very front of mine and very much in your face, I do think it kind of is a must win because the cults are five and one.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Jack Wars schedule gets easier down the stretch.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The cult schedule gets harder.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The cults play the Chargers, Steelers, Falcons, Chiefs, Seahawks, 49ers, and Jack Wars twice.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That's eight of their remaining 11 games against teams with a winning record.

  [SPEAKER_00]: eight out of 11 games against winning teams.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, that's tough.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Meanwhile, the Jaguars play the Titans twice, the Texans, the Raiders, the Cardinals, and the Jats, all teams with losing records.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So six of the Jaguars games, 11 games are made against teams with losing records, whereas eight

  [SPEAKER_00]: of the remaining games for the cults against teams with winning records.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguar has only have five games against teams with a winning record moving forward.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And again, two of those games for each team is against each other.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So yes, the cults have a more difficult road ahead.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But still, if the Jaguar has lose to the Rams and fall to four and three, and the cults beat the Chargers in LA,

  [SPEAKER_00]: And that's tough to make up in 10 weeks.

  [SPEAKER_00]: No matter how difficult the schedule might be for the cults and no matter how, quote unquote easy, it might be for the Jaguars.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's not impossible to come back being four and three against a six and one team.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, at that point, if you've followed a four and three, and you've just had two straight losses,

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's not, I mean, you're not thinking about the division.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You're thinking about, we got to get back on track.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And look, from a coaching and personnel standpoint, every week should be a singular focus.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The next game is the most important game in franchise history.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's the most important game in your world.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That's how you have to think and compartmentalize and prioritize these things, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes you look at the big picture as well, and if you're four and three and the Coles are six and one, and you've lost two straight games, again, you're not like thinking about the division anymore.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You're just thinking about, we've got to figure out a way to win a game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna fall out, not only of the division race, but fall behind in the wild card race as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So, yeah, the Jags,

  [SPEAKER_00]: Fall into four and three after starting four and one.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that's two completely different worlds that you're in.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Mindset-wise.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And beyond just like the actual record of it all and competing in the division and the standings and all that, it's also like show what you're made of.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Seahawk defensive front kicked your ass.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Walker Little, Ants on Harrison.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Ezra Cleveland, Patrick McCarry, you know, pretty much give Monheim a pass because I think he did pretty much fine, especially for starting his first game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm hopeful Robert Hainesy can get back out there and lead these guys.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But they kicked your butt, show that you can adjust quicker.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguar's defense did not adjust quick enough against the Seahawks.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They still overall gave the offense chances to win that game as we've talked about, but if you had adjusted quicker, it started blitzing a little bit more opportunistically earlier in the game, maybe you would have had a chance to disrupt their flow a little bit more before they got to 20 points right after the halftime, so that you can focus pre and post snap.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Show that you have some fight, some toughness, some grit.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And yes, we have seen them do that before.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We have seen them compete.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We have seen them come back from a disappointing loss.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But we haven't seen them get their butt handed to them up front on the offensive line the way they did against the Seahawks.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They've got, I mean, if they can't get back from that,

  [SPEAKER_00]: and play better football against the Rams who are a good defensive front.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe a better pass rush unit overall than the Seahawks.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe not the same type of personnel advantages and disadvantages.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We'll talk about the game and the matchups and all that stuff.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Show that you have some fight and you show that you have some pride.

  [SPEAKER_00]: and that you're not going to fold, that you're not just gonna roll over and die like you did last week on the offensive line.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Re-watching that is embarrassing.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And the rams are gonna be a tough football team to be even if they don't have Puka Nakua.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think last week Liam Cohen over valued the fact that the Seahawks weren't going to have three other top four, or three other top five secondary guys.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he really did, and so he was like, we're going to attack down the field.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You can't attack down the field if you can't protect your quarterback, if you can't handle yourself upfront.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So they've got some soul searching to do a little bit this week to figure things out in my opinion.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Because that was the worst loss of the season.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, on paper, losing to the Bengals, Jake Browning, all that, that sucks.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But you beat yourselves, you did beat yourselves against the sea ox as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But this is the first time, the offensive line really got taken advantage of.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And they've gone against good defensive fronts.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They've gone against the Texans.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Walker Little didn't have a good game in that one.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But overall, the offensive line, the protection was good enough.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They've got to be better.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Got to.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Everybody does.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Everybody needs to improve.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Focus, pre-imposed, nap, discipline, play action.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They were so undisciplined against the play action shots and coverage.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Show that you can bounce back against a good football team and show that you can pick yourself up off the mat and you're going to be going into the by-week feeling pretty good.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If not, you're going to be feeling pretty crappy at 4 and 3 and that's just the way it is.
