Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're picking up where we
• 0:06
left off with the Sarah Kellen interview with Congress Miss Brignac.
• 0:13
We're ready to go back on the record. The time
• 0:15
is one oh five and the majority begins their second hour,
• 0:19
Miss Brignac. Question, Miss Kellen, we briefly discussed your compensation,
• 0:24
but can you describe how it fluctuated throughout your time
• 0:27
working for mister Epstein. Answer? I started at twenty five
• 0:31
thousand a year. I believe it got up to one
• 0:33
hundred thousand a year at one point, and then he
• 0:35
cut everyone's pay when he went to jail, and it
• 0:37
ended at seventy five thousand a year at the end
• 0:40
of my employment. Question how much did he cut your
• 0:43
pay by answer? I guess it would have been twenty
• 0:45
five percent if it was one hundred thousand and then
• 0:48
seventy five thousand. Question did you receive compensation beyond that salary? Answer?
• 0:55
He would give me a few gifts though through the years.
• 0:58
Question did he pay for your housing? Answer? He gave
• 1:00
me an apartment to live in. He had maybe ten
• 1:02
apartments that different staff members. Timmins was that at three
• 1:06
oh one Kellen, Yes, Timmins, Okay, thank you, Brignac. And
• 1:11
did anyone live with you at three oh one East
• 1:14
sixty sixth Street Kellen, No, Brignac. Who are your neighbors Kellen?
• 1:20
In relation to Jeffrey, the pilots all had an apartment,
• 1:23
his girlfriend had an apartment, The chef had an apartment
• 1:26
while he had a private chef Jean lu Brunel had
• 1:28
an apartment. Timmins, When did you move out of the
• 1:32
apartment Kellen, twenty twelve when I became engaged to my
• 1:36
second husband, Timmins. By twenty fourteen, there were seven different
• 1:40
women living there. Did you overlap with any of them? Kellen?
• 1:44
I wasn't there in twenty fourteen, so I wouldn't have
• 1:46
known who was there. Timmins. I don't know if any
• 1:49
of them were still there. They came right around that time,
• 1:52
but there were no other women in your orbit while
• 1:55
you were there in twenty twelve. There were no other assistants, Kellen.
• 2:01
I know one of his girlfriends was still living there
• 2:03
that I knew, Timmins. Do you recall the name Kellen
• 2:07
redacted Brignac question, and that's redacted? Correct? Answer yes. Question
• 2:13
what were the names of the other pilots and chefs
• 2:15
that lived at the address? Answer Larry Vasaski, David Rodgers,
• 2:20
Larry Morrison, Adam Perry Lang, and I believe Darren Endyke
• 2:23
had an apartment there as well. In the beginning of
• 2:26
my employment. I don't remember if any other chefs lived there.
• 2:29
And then at one point they used two of the
• 2:31
apartments as offices when he was in jail to save money.
• 2:36
Question were you abused at this apartment? Answer no. Question
• 2:39
did he, mister Epstein, pay your rent at the apartment
• 2:42
or did he place the apartment in your name? Answer?
• 2:45
He never put it in my name, although he always
• 2:47
dangled that carrot in front of me. In the beginning
• 2:50
of my employment, he said, if you make it working
• 2:53
five years with me, I'll put the apartment in your name,
• 2:56
and that never happened, and then he kind of continued
• 2:59
it in the later years as well. He kept saying
• 3:01
he was gonna put the apartment in my name, and
• 3:03
it never happened. And then when he was kind of
• 3:08
like pushing me out of the apartment when I was
• 3:10
engaged to Brian, I reminded him of his promise. And
• 3:13
he just sort of ignored it. Question Brian being Brian
• 3:16
Vickers answer correct, question, thank you? Did he pay for
• 3:20
your medical appointments? Answer yes. Question did mister Epstein pay
• 3:24
for your education? Answer? I don't believe I got any
• 3:27
extra education when I was working with him. Question did
• 3:30
mister Epstein offer you any personal loans? Answer? He gave
• 3:34
me gifts. I didn't understand them to be loans. Question
• 3:37
did you ever ask him for a personal loan? Answer? No?
• 3:40
Question did any other associate of mister Epstein receive personal loans? Answer?
• 3:45
Any other associates receive loans? I'm not sure, Ham. Can
• 3:50
we pause for a second, they go off record, they
• 3:53
come back, Kellen. Sorry. She wanted me to mention that
• 3:55
he in the very beginning before I started working, he
• 3:59
asked if I had any day and he paid off
• 4:01
my credit cards during like the very first interview I
• 4:03
had with him that first week, Miss Brygnac, Thank you, Timmins.
• 4:07
Approximately how much was that, Kellen? Like? Fifteen hundred? Miss Ham.
• 4:12
I'm sorry, clarify one more thing. On the medical appointments,
• 4:16
you also received health insurance right, so he would pay
• 4:18
for the doctor's appointments, and he provided medical insurance. Is
• 4:22
that right, Kellen? Uh huh ham okay, Tolan, And you
• 4:26
mentioned gifts. What type of gifts did you receive Kellen.
• 4:29
He bought me jewelry, clothing. He gave me money onto
• 4:32
accounts that I remember. He gave me a mini moke
• 4:35
for my birthday, one year luggage, that sort of thing, Tolan.
• 4:39
And was the money that was just a gift. It
• 4:43
was for no purpose specifically, Kellen. So one was to
• 4:47
help pay for my wedding. And then there was one
• 4:49
I went to see him in New York, and that
• 4:51
was expressing how stressed I was at the time. My
• 4:54
husband and I gutted our apartment in New York and
• 4:56
a few months after that he was in the hospital
• 4:59
with emergency open heart surgery and he couldn't race anymore.
• 5:02
He was a professional race car driver, so like, basically
• 5:06
he had no more income and he had to pay,
• 5:08
Like he used his entire life savings to try and
• 5:10
rebuild the apartment, but we couldn't get it back to livable,
• 5:14
and we couldn't refinance without it being livable. And it
• 5:17
was just like super stressful time. And I was telling
• 5:20
Jeffrey about that, and he just got on the phone
• 5:22
and told his accountant to wire me money, which I
• 5:25
assumed was to help alleviate some of my stress. Brignac. Question,
• 5:30
Miss Kellen, back to the payment on the apartment, did
• 5:33
you understand that the other associates of mister Epstein that
• 5:35
lived there also had their rent paid or was the
• 5:38
apartment placed in any of their names? Answer? I'm not
• 5:41
aware of them being placed in any of their names,
• 5:43
and I never really understood like how it was like.
• 5:46
I assumed Jeffrey owned the apartments the way he liked
• 5:49
acted with him, but I never really understood who properly
• 5:52
owned them. I think his brother and another They had
• 5:55
a partner in the building, Anthony Barrett, who Jeffrey was
• 5:58
friendly with. But I didn't quite understand the dynamics of
• 6:01
all of that. Question. Did mister Epstein ever assist in
• 6:04
setting up a business for you? Answer? Mister Endyke helped
• 6:08
set up my SLK Design interior design company. Question did
• 6:12
mister Epstein ever use SLK Design to help young women
• 6:15
or girls acquire visas or passports? Answer? He had me
• 6:20
hire an assistant that helped me with design a design project.
• 6:23
She was an assistant and she was hired under SLK Designs.
• 6:28
Question can you describe the conversation to me that came
• 6:31
out of that taking place? Who told you to hire her?
• 6:34
Answer Jeffrey. Question who was the assistant? Answer redacted? Question Okay,
• 6:39
did you express any concerns about the hiring decision? Answer no,
• 6:43
because she had gone to school for interior design and
• 6:46
she was helping a lot with sourcing furniture and fabrics
• 6:49
and interior design projects. Question Miss Kellen, you've described your
• 6:53
previous husband, Brian Vickers, and documents that the committee has
• 6:56
reviewed revealed that mister Vickers did communicate with mister vp Epstein.
• 7:01
What was mister Epstein's involvement in your relationship? Answer? I
• 7:05
had not told Brian about the abuse in the beginning
• 7:08
and positioned Jeffrey as more of a father figure to
• 7:10
him because I was ashamed of disclosing what had happened
• 7:13
to him. So that's kind of the context of that.
• 7:15
Brian Viudeman, I think he, like Jeffrey, wanted to be
• 7:19
involved with our pre nup and was giving advice on that.
• 7:22
I don't think they had a lot of communication. I mean,
• 7:24
I saw some of the emails online. Some of them
• 7:27
I weren't aware of? Question who introduced you to mister Vickers? Answer?
• 7:32
I met him through one of my friends. Her husband
• 7:34
was friends with Brian, and we met out a brunch
• 7:36
in New York, Tolan, and what was mister Epstein's reaction
• 7:41
to you getting engaged and leaving your job as his assistant? Kellen?
• 7:45
He started getting more difficult towards me and being more
• 7:48
dismissive of me. He was like, when can you when
• 7:52
are you going to move out of the apartment and
• 7:54
was trying to kick me out of the apartment pretty quickly.
• 7:57
He kept saying, when are you going to go to
• 7:59
Brian's health insurance? And I was like, we're not married yet.
• 8:01
I can't go on as insurance until we're married. When
• 8:04
I wasn't traveling with Jeffrey twenty four to seven like
• 8:07
I typically was, he was like, this isn't working. We're
• 8:10
going to have to cut your pay or you know.
• 8:12
He just became more hostile towards me just because I
• 8:15
wasn't at his beck and call twenty four to seven
• 8:17
anymore Brignac question, Miss Kellen. I will now read a
• 8:22
list of individuals that the Committee has identified as associated
• 8:25
with mister Epstein and that the request of your counsel.
• 8:29
This will be a list. Some of these might be
• 8:31
repetitive from the minorities hour, but for clarity on the record,
• 8:35
I'm going to run through them again. For each name,
• 8:37
please stay whether you witnessed any inappropriate behavior from the individual.
• 8:42
If the answer is yes, I will not ask you
• 8:44
to give information about the victim. Ham, I'm so sorry.
• 8:48
Can I just clarify? You mean like inappropriate sexual behavior?
• 8:52
Brignac correct, Ham being rude, okay, inappropriate sexual behavior? Question?
• 8:57

Doug Band answer no question. Elon Musk answer no question.
• 9:34
Steve Bannon answer no question, Richard Branson answer no, Glenn
• 9:39
Dubin answered no. Sandy Berger answer no, Ham, Can we
• 9:42
stop there? Can you just clarify which Sandy Burger for her?
• 9:46
Are you talking about the Clinton official Sandy Berger? Toland, Yes,
• 9:50
Ham Burger. There's somebody else in the files that we've seen,
• 9:53
so I just wanted to clarify for Tolan, the Clinton official. Yeah, Ham, okay,
• 9:58
thank you? Question what he no question? Ried Hoffman answer
• 10:03
no question. Alan Dershowitz answer no question. Jean Luke Burnell
• 10:08
answered no. At Wood Brock answer no. President Bill Clinton
• 10:12
answered no. Steven Sinofsky answer no question. Are there any
• 10:17
others that you witness conduct engage in sexual conduct? Answer
• 10:22
only towards myself, Philip Levine and Frederick Foucai. Mister Timmins,
• 10:26
can I jump in? So, Philip Levine, when did you
• 10:29
first encounter him? What year? Miss Kellen? Pretty much right away?
• 10:33
The instance that I referenced was in two thousand and two,
• 10:36
two thousand and three, Jeffrey and Glane rented a house
• 10:39
in San Trope for the summer, and Philip came to
• 10:42
stay with them part of the time. Timmins, and that's
• 10:45
when the first instance occurred, Kellen, Uh huh, Timmins, and
• 10:49
he sexually assaulted you? Is that what you said earlier, Kellen. Correct,
• 10:53
at the house and then again on the beach. We
• 10:56
were kind of walking and I think it was Jeffrey
• 10:58
and Glane We're walking ahead of us, and there was
• 11:01
me and Philip, and then there was like this wooden
• 11:03
kind of shack on the beach and he just kind
• 11:05
of grabbed my hand and pulled me into the shack. Timmins. Okay,
• 11:09
so that's two thousand and two, Kellen, two thousand and
• 11:11
two or two thousand and three, It was pretty early
• 11:14
on in my employment, Burlason. Was this on the island? Timmins? No,
• 11:19
this was Kellen jumps in in santro Pe. Timmins. What
• 11:23
other further contact did you have with Philip Levine after
• 11:26
two thousand and three, Kellen, I don't remember any specific
• 11:29
contact that I had. I just knew that him and
• 11:32
Glaine were very friendly. Timmins, So you never saw him
• 11:35
again after two thousand and three, Kellen, It's possible, but
• 11:39
I don't remember, Timmins. But in two thousand and three
• 11:42
in Santrope. I hate to ask you to do this,
• 11:44
but can you give me additional details about the interaction Kellen?
• 11:48
It was at night Jeffrey and Glaine had gone to bed,
• 11:50
and their bedroom was upstairs, and then Philip was staying
• 11:53
in a bedroom downstairs, and we were both still awake,
• 11:57
and he brought me into his bedroom and said, you know,
• 11:59
you must be sold lonely, always with them and never
• 12:02
not having your own life, and kind of not being
• 12:04
able to do or be with anyone, kind of was
• 12:07
basically forced himself on me. Question miss Brignac, Now, Miss Kellen,
• 12:13
the question was whether you witnessed any of those individuals
• 12:15
engage in sexual activity? And you had prompted whether I
• 12:19
was asking of your general awareness. Can you answer whether
• 12:22
you were you were aware of any of those individuals
• 12:25
having engaged in sexual misconduct? Ham aware at the time
• 12:29
that she was employed for Epstein. Brignac. Correct, Kellen, I
• 12:33
wasn't aware, Brignac. Did you ever witness mister Epstein giving
• 12:36
cash to young women or girls? Ham? This is where
• 12:40
we understand that some of the allegations are so I
• 12:43
don't want to speak about the victims. Kellen. Okay, Brignac
• 12:46
and understanding the scope for clarity on the record, are
• 12:49
you refusing to answer that question? Ham? Yeah, I'm asking
• 12:52
her based on the parameters that we that she's prepared
• 12:55
to discuss today that we don't want to get into
• 12:57
other victims. Kellen, and I would like to be able
• 13:00
to answer all the questions, but I just need to
• 13:02
like listen to my counsel. Timmins. If you were given
• 13:05
immunity by the Department of Justice or this committee, would
• 13:08
you be willing to answer more questions? Kellen one hundred percent? Timmins.
• 13:13
Do you think that the answers to those questions would
• 13:16
result in additional people being indicted or held accountable? Kellen,
• 13:20
  I don't know. I mean, I don't Timmins. Can I
• 13:23
direct that to your lawyer? Kellen? Sure? Ham, Yeah, I
• 13:26
think it's hard because I'm not sure what she the
• 13:29
DOJ knows honestly, Brignac and I understand the scope, but
• 13:33
for clarity on the record, we have a few more questions.
• 13:37
Did miss Maxwell or mister Epstein ever ask you to
• 13:39
introduce young women to girls or clients or friends of Epstein? Ham?
• 13:43
I think you can answer that, Kellen, No, I'm sorry.
• 13:46
Could you reask? I'm sorry? Sure? Did miss Maxwell or
• 13:50
mister Epstein ever ask you to introduce young women or
• 13:52
girls to clients or friends of mister Epstein, Kellen, no question, Brignac,
• 13:57
did you ever witness mister Epstein have sexual contact of
• 13:59
any with young women or girls? Ham? You can answer
• 14:03
for yourself, Kellen, myself in three instances I mentioned before
• 14:07
with Glaine and then to other women. Brignac, thank you,
• 14:10
But that wasn't the question. Did you ever witness mister
• 14:13
Epstein have sexual contact of any kind with other young
• 14:16
women or girls? Ham? Yeah, we're not talking about that.
• 14:20
I don't want to put her in a position to
• 14:21
talk about other victims, but she is able to talk
• 14:23
about her own experience being victimized by him with other
• 14:26
people present. If you want information, Brignac, and just for
• 14:30
clarity on the record, you're refusing to answer that question, Kellen,
• 14:34
I'm listening to my attorney. Brignac. Thank you, Ham. I
• 14:39
mean this was the scope. I appreciate the committee's position,
• 14:42
but this is voluntary and coming in here, we wanted
• 14:45
to make sure that she was able to provide information
• 14:48
to be helpful to the committee while protecting herself and
• 14:51
understanding that sustained questioning on some of these topics is
• 14:55
very difficult for her to get through. All right, folks,
• 14:57
We're going to wrap up right here, and then the
• 14:59
next step episode dealing with the topic, we're going to
• 15:01
pick up where we left off. All the information that
• 15:04
goes with this episode can be found in the description box.
