- 0:10What does the nanny do? OK, so we're done.
- 0:13Goodbye. You shut it off.
- 0:17Do not twist my words. Do not make me a victim,
- 0:20sweetie. Just look at the mountain.
- 0:22That's what you saw. That day, just the knife in the
- 0:26kidneys over all these years and
- 0:32love you. Are you ready for the Browns to
- 0:50tell you all? So ready.
- 0:54Well, actually, are you a little
- 0:56to tell you very little? I think that's more the
- 1:00direction that we're going to end up on our Season 6 episode
- 1:0311, Sister Wives Tell all rewatch.
- 1:06Oh, tell all in the middle of the season.
- 1:09Isn't that interesting? Kind of going off of what we
- 1:12thought where maybe the season
- 1:17other episode and now there's a tell all in the middle.
- 1:21Yeah, I was thinking about how
- 1:24talking about the wrap up footage of them climbing up the
- 1:27hillside and the RC for TLC trash TV shots and whatever, and
- 1:33how it was looking like it was
- 1:35season. And there's a few things that
- 1:38happened throughout the episode that I'm like, Oh yeah.
- 1:40Oh yeah. I think it backs up your
- 1:42conspiracy theory, but maybe we'll never know.
- 1:47One of those TLC mysteries. They just got re upped for a few
- 1:51episodes and TLC said let's make
- 1:55few more episodes. Get what we can out of these
- 1:58people's crazy lives, damn. Mildly crazy, that's for sure.
- 2:04Tell all debatable. Debatable, as per usual with
- 2:09them. The episode starts with a
- 2:11voiceover from Tamron Hall. This is the first time we're
- 2:14meeting Tamron Hall on this show.
- 2:17I'm not familiar with what she
- 2:21felt like I recognized her and I
- 2:25recognized her from things she's
- 2:27So Tamron Hall has a talk show
- 2:31many seasons she does the Tell
- 2:34We'll discover that through our RE watches.
- 2:38But the one thing that's happened as of recent was Meri,
- 2:42Meri, Meri quite contrary. Brown went on the Tamron Hall
- 2:45show in the last year or something to plug who knows
- 2:49whatever she was plugging, probably her non existent self
- 2:52help company or something. I don't really remember.
- 2:54Maybe it was just for the last
- 2:56And I think there was some sort of, I don't know if they were
- 2:59really clear, but gave us some
- 3:04of got her fired because he didn't like the way that the
- 3:07interviews were going. And this one's pretty light
- 3:10hitting. I'm not going to say that they
- 3:11get hard hitting, but at some point they become even less
- 3:14favorable to him. And with production changes,
- 3:17that puddle monkey, I mean, right now for sure, they don't
- 3:21have the producers they had when
- 3:23started, the reason that Kody and Robyn get such great edits
- 3:26is because they were friends with the creator of the show and
- 3:28the producer. And when that changed, their
- 3:31edits changed and I think Kody, this was probably one of the
- 3:34last things that Kody was able
- 3:38doing their tell alls. While Tamron started her career
- 3:44in the 90s, she spent a decade
- 3:49Morning News in Chicago, starting in 1997.
- 3:54Then she joined MSNBC and NBC News in 2007 and hosted programs
- 4:00like MSNBC Live and Co hosted the third hour of the Today
- 4:07show, Today's Take and she was
- 4:11anchor the weekday Today show.
- 4:14So she got started before the Browns doing.
- 4:21Other thing, and that's where I think they recognize her is
- 4:23from. MSNBCI think that's probably
- 4:25where I recognize her from. Yeah.
- 4:27So it makes sense that they would start trying to branch her
- 4:30out into other things and doing this, maybe this was like a
- 4:34segue to her getting her own show is what it sounds like from
- 4:37reading her history. So kind of, I think that happens
- 4:42with a lot of people that do these interview things for like
- 4:46random shows and they end up getting their own talk show out
- 4:49of it eventually. It does seem like a natural
- 4:51stepping stone. Yeah.
- 4:52Hosting these types of things to
- 4:56Yeah. But I did see Meri on Tamron
- 4:59Hall show, and just like everything Meri does, she gave
- 5:01us very little. It was very uninteresting.
- 5:03But of course I watched it because I'm a deadbeat loser who
- 5:06watches Sister Wife, so you know.
- 5:07Well, you know. When we get our first shot of
- 5:10the family with Tamron Hall, we have two couches and Tamron's
- 5:12in the middle. Very traditional, you know, tell
- 5:15all set up. We have Robyn, Kody and Janelle
- 5:18on the left couch and then Tamron in the middle and then
- 5:20Christine and Meri on the right couch.
- 5:23I thought Meri looked pretty good.
- 5:26Janelle had a lot of makeup or
- 5:31she had an early teenager do her
- 5:33I don't know. Do you?
- 5:34What did you think? Of I felt like she had a stylist
- 5:37do her hair and makeup that didn't know how to deal with
- 5:41aging skin. That makes sense.
- 5:44It was very thick, heavy makeup for somebody that is, you know,
- 5:51showing early signs of aging and
- 5:54She did look really pretty. Like she tried.
- 5:57She asked for help and she tried, and I thought she looked
- 6:00pretty. You could have ran your fingers
- 6:02through those curls a few times and liven them up, but that's
- 6:05for sure. I thought she looked good.
- 6:07I did notice that they tried to coordinate outfits of it.
- 6:12So Janelle and Robyn were wearing this orangey coral
- 6:18color, more on the orange side.
- 6:21And then Christine was wearing under her like darker blazer
- 6:26thing. She was wearing a coral orange
- 6:34this time and they're not just sitting there in socks or
- 6:38they're naked hooves. So yeah.
- 6:41Oh God, Janelle's puggy pig toes weren't out.
- 6:46No, we didn't have to see any piggy piggy tixies.
- 6:48Yeah, Janelle's look reminded me of a teenage girl who's going to
- 6:58hair, and all of a sudden they're done up.
- 7:00And it's like, oh, man, if you had done this a few more times,
- 7:03you would have, you know, figured out some of these
- 7:05things. It was just odd.
- 7:06And it's so Janelle, I I don't want to pick on her.
- 7:09It was just every time she was on camera, I was like, Oh my
- 7:12God, girl. Like, or a drag queen who's
- 7:14doing their first performance and it's like, oh, she ain't
- 7:16figured it out yet, you know, like, oh God.
- 7:18If Mckelty or Maddie had done her makeup it would make sense
- 7:27with skin types as you get older, putting on too much
- 7:31foundation actually is does the opposite of what you want it to
- 7:34do. It doesn't make you look
- 7:36youthful, it makes you look dry and cakey.
- 7:39So. And Christine was looking a
- 7:42little formal ish. I don't, I never know what
- 7:45Christine's doing with her fashions, obviously.
- 7:47I mean, she's kind of a mess and it's like she's trying.
- 7:51And I felt like she was going to a boardroom meeting or something
- 8:01the orangish theme of the other two, and Meri was wearing her
- 8:07Fidelis necklace. Oh, I didn't catch that, but I
- 8:13That's funny. I didn't notice Christine
- 8:15wearing hers, which is funny 'cause we she's the one that
- 8:18hated it. I know.
- 8:19And when I first saw it, I thought, Oh my gosh, Christine,
- 8:21what are you doing? And then I thought, well, maybe
- 8:24she's trying to save face or make it look like, oh, I didn't
- 8:27actually hate it and I'd love my husband like, oh God.
- 8:30Yeah, Meri wearing hers. And then of course she had a
- 8:34long layered necklace over it. Very of the times with the
- 8:38layering, the necklaces. OK.
- 8:39As they do on this show very frequently, the Clinkity
- 8:43Clinkity jewelry. And one more thing about how
- 8:45they're sitting is just as a viewer, with Robyn being on the
- 8:48far left, there's something about, well, first of all, when
- 8:51they're doing a full shot, as we know, with camera angles or
- 8:55with using a lens that captures more, the sides get
- 8:58stretched a little more. And that's the unfortunate thing
- 9:03couch and they put her at the end and it's like, oh, she's
- 9:05getting the widest part of the lens, I guess.
- 9:07Yeah, yes, yeah. Very muted version of that.
- 9:12And this time, Robyn being on the far left when they were
- 9:16doing the full shot of everybody, it's like her jaw was
- 9:23Is it was it was very square and exaggerated.
- 9:26And then when they would do the three on the left, when they
- 9:30would do Robyn, Kody, Janelle, there was something with the
- 9:32camera where they weren't quite focused.
- 9:33So that was distracting to me because it would be a little
- 9:37blurry. And I'm like, oh God, why didn't
- 9:41photography's job. There's someone on set that
- 9:42needed to be making sure it was unfocused.
- 9:44It wasn't. So we didn't get a lot of their
- 9:47full couch, but then when they would do close-ups of either
- 9:50Robyn or Kody, where the camera was from and the way she would
- 10:00Bravo. It was distracting to me.
- 10:01I would just be like, Oh my God, Robyn, your fucking jaw.
- 10:04Well, one thing that they did during this tell all which I
- 10:07appreciated was when they were doing the flashback clips, and
- 10:14camera angle of them on the couch now watching the clip as
- 10:26And every time that Robyn was in that, that little lower square,
- 10:31her square jaw was just matching up with the square of
- 10:37her square. It was insane looking.
- 10:41It really, really made me realize how square her face is
- 10:49some sort of way, you can't look some sort of way if you don't
- 10:53already look some sort of way to begin with.
- 10:56So. Girl, if I trust me, I know it
- 11:04Right. Oh my God.
- 11:06So Tamron gets this 11th episode of season 6.
- 11:10Sister Wives Tell All started by asking Kody the first question,
- 11:14asking him why was it so important for you to move out of
- 11:20Such a hard hitting first question from Tamron.
- 11:23I just couldn't even believe she started out this hard hitting.
- 11:33best. Yes.
- 11:34And Kody basically says so that they could be functioning as a
- 11:43about the Christmases that they could have, etcetera, etcetera,
- 11:46which opens the door for Tamron to say, well, yes, you had a
- 11:50goal to be in the homes by Christmas and everyone was in
- 11:54their homes for Christmas except for one.
- 11:56Let's take a look. And I'm going to try to do let's
- 12:02And I love the. Let's take a look.
- 12:04Well, first, Kody does say in response to her that it gives
- 12:09them a sense of unity to be in their new homes in the
- 12:13cul-de-sac. And we act right.
- 12:15Oh, they act right. We act right, We act more like a
- 12:21And I thought it was a really weird choice of words.
- 12:24As per usual, we act right. Isn't that odd?
- 12:28It's kind of a telling way to describe how your daily family
- 12:34Almost reminds me of out of sight, out of mind, you know?
- 12:37But what is it that you're doing right?
- 12:39Right. Almost feels like a correction.
- 12:42Yeah.
- 12:42And so it's like, what were you doing wrong?
- 12:45It just reminds me of a mom yelling at their kid.
- 12:47You better act right when we're here.
- 12:49Yeah, it was bizarre. Yeah.
- 12:52It's not language like, oh, we
- 12:55or we are, Yeah. It felt like a parent scalding
- 13:00their child that they need to act right in public.
- 13:03Oh, and the flashbacks. And so for this first flashback,
- 13:06we get Mona telling everyone about their Closings, getting
- 13:10their keys, etcetera, and Meri
- 13:14scene. And oh God.
- 13:16And you're right, there's like
- 13:18So we get to see some of their
- 13:20I didn't really pay too much attention to their reactions
- 13:22because they're usually just watching the monitor and I
- 13:25don't. Know there was a few that were
- 13:27telling Meri is crying in the flashback and of course she's
- 13:31crying on the little photo of her watching the flashback.
- 13:36So crying on crying on crying here.
- 13:41Very on brand for Meri, yeah? Tamron asks if the most
- 13:45upsetting part was Leon's experience.
- 13:49Oh God, I know. And Meri agrees.
- 13:51She says yes, Christmas was so
- 13:55moving off to college next year,
- 13:58We've all heard it all before.
- 14:00over the head with shit that they've already heard 17,000
- 14:03times. You guys are going to try to get
- 14:05through this quickly, but we say
- 14:09doesn't happen. So we're going to try to just
- 14:11move through this. You've heard it all before,
- 14:13don't stop listening. You've heard it all before.
- 14:19Kody says here it felt like destiny getting into the home.
- 14:24I love that he was bringing Robyn's tagline into it.
- 14:28They do a lot of this during during the tell all here where
- 14:32Tamron will ask a question and
- 14:38them will give an answer where
- 14:41actually answering the question,
- 14:43a question in their head that they wish was asked.
- 14:46Or maybe they're cutting bits and pieces out and it doesn't
- 14:51really flow intuitively for the viewer.
- 14:55Because we get clips like this
- 15:00and yes, it was so important for
- 15:02And then Kody, they show him and
- 15:06getting into the homes. OK.
- 15:10It did feel like destiny. Disjointedness.
- 15:13Christine says it's been so good
- 15:17this is where I noticed her necklace from Kody and I was
- 15:19like Oh my God, Oh my God. Tamron asks Meri about bumps in
- 15:24the road living close together
- 15:27have being such close neighbors.
- 15:29They're in such close quarters Again.
- 15:32Tamron points to Meri with this question and how Meri had
- 15:38brought up the potential for jealousy in being in these close
- 15:47being so close to each other. And we get a lot of
- 15:52defensiveness from this question, a lot of it.
- 15:56Meri says. The issues I could see is the
- 15:58four of us being so aware of each other and aware of each of
- 16:03us with Kody. We didn't see each other with
- 16:06Kody while we were in the rentals and now we can see Kody
- 16:09going from house to house. So what I love is this idea of
- 16:19back, blah, blah, blah. When they have this reference of
- 16:25you sitting in your what Christine has is the library.
- 16:28Meri has is her dining room slash packing room for her
- 16:31online sales. There's only really one room
- 16:34that faces the front of the house with windows on the 1st
- 16:37floor. So it's like, are you just
- 16:39pacing looking out your front window even though the majority
- 16:41of your living space faces back?
- 16:43It's very bizarre. Y'all need to have some
- 16:46self-control. It's weird.
- 16:48They look around at each other
- 16:52one saying that. Well, now we, it's in our faces.
- 16:57It's right up in our faces whose
- 17:00he's there. And we just know he's in the
- 17:03vicinity. We know he's in one of those
- 17:05homes right around us, but he's not with us.
- 17:08And Tamron says, well, yeah, it's possible that this would
- 17:13bring up some emotions, jealousy
- 17:16And Meri's, I'm just saying, she
- 17:19I'm just saying. I'm just saying, I'm just
- 17:22saying, and Tamron goes, you're not just saying no, trying to
- 17:28call her out. Well, there's a reason you're
- 17:31bringing this up. So obviously there's some
- 17:34jealousy. There's something going on and
- 17:37they have to try to spin it to
- 17:41off of Meri's ass here. So they talk about how combined
- 17:47between all of them, they have
- 17:52So they've got a lot of experience and they know how to
- 17:55work through these things and they can figure it out.
- 17:58Yeah, During this back and forth, Kody shares an example of
- 18:01taking out someone's garbage and
- 18:04took out someone's garbage and
- 18:06And Robyn makes a crack about him taking out the garbage.
- 18:09Like, oh, you take out the garbage?
- 18:11Which I thought was kind of funny because it's totally like
- 18:13a wife being like, you take out the garbage.
- 18:15And then I was also disgusted because I'm like, yeah, I'm
- 18:18imagining being a husband of four wives.
- 18:21He probably doesn't take out their garbage because he's Kody
- 18:24as well. Like he's just that guy that
- 18:26probably wouldn't. I'm a pussy fucking homosexual
- 18:30and I take out the fucking garbage.
- 18:31I do not get that. It grosses me out.
- 18:34And then I'm thinking about how he has four homes where he
- 18:36doesn't take out the garbage. And I'm like, you're so gross.
- 18:38I'm just imagining all four wives taking out their cans,
- 18:41bringing them back in. Or, you know, when they have
- 18:44teenagers having the kids do. It I was going to say this is
- 18:47probably one of those things where he feels it's the
- 18:49children's responsibility. Yeah.
- 18:52And he probably feels like as a dad with that many children, he
- 18:56should never have to take the trash out.
- 18:58Yeah. It's that built in labor I.
- 19:00Mean that I was not that old before I started having to take
- 19:03the cans out at my parents' house.
- 19:05So I get it now. I'm going.
- 19:07OK, Christy, you were reading too much into it.
- 19:09But I was just thinking about the idea of all these people
- 19:11taking out their own trash and
- 19:13his legs up being like, whatever, I'm Kody, I have a
- 19:16pretend job. You're.
- 19:18Right. I thought that if anything, he's
- 19:21taking out Robyn's trash. Yeah, and just hers.
- 19:24Right. And so conveniently, she gets to
- 19:26make a crack about it, like, oh,
- 19:29And it's like he probably actually does at your house and
- 19:31nobody else's. Yeah, Christine makes a joke
- 19:34about how she saw him pulling weeds in somebody's yard the
- 19:36other day, and he doesn't pull
- 19:39And I was thinking so metaphorically here.
- 19:44Yeah, he's pulling the weeds, like pulling the shit out and
- 19:49working through problems with one marriage, but not pulling
- 19:52the weeds in another garden. And all these weeds are
- 19:55festering in your guys's gardens
- 19:58and growing flowers. There's weeds growing up in
- 20:01yours. Like, I just couldn't not think.
- 20:05Wow. That is so metaphorically
- 20:08accurate for what is truly happening behind the scenes
- 20:10right now with you guys. You your mind is not in the
- 20:14gutter like mine, 'cause when you started talking about the
- 20:15wedding I was like, OK, I thought we were going to talk
- 20:18about some genitalia, but then
- 20:20Little bit of that too. You know, you know, but, but
- 20:22that totally makes sense. When Kody made that crack about
- 20:2565 years of combined marriage,
- 20:28how long they had been married
- 20:32years. And he was grinning like he was
- 20:35so clever and it was the funniest thing that anyone's
- 20:37ever said. And I puked in my mouth and had
- 20:39to swallow it, it was so gross.
- 20:41Well, Tamron kind of called him out for that.
- 20:43Oh, because you just know all of the, she doesn't say all of the
- 20:47stats, but kind of like you just know all of the things
- 20:51about your marriages, like all of the anniversaries and all the
- 20:54dates and you would know that you have 65 combined years.
- 20:57She kind of cracks at him for that.
- 20:59She also says that that's telling her jealousy may be an
- 21:05but she's got to bring it back up.
- 21:06And that's where Christine says I'm a tracker.
- 21:09Where's Kody? He hasn't been here.
- 21:12I haven't seen him for a few days.
- 21:14Where is he? Yes, absolutely.
- 21:16That has come up. And this is the thing about
- 21:20Christine is she's telling us already that Kody, you know,
- 21:24they were in the rentals and, you know, we kind of gave a
- 21:28well, we didn't, but you could see how someone would give some
- 21:30flexibility on the, you know, you're not going to spend your
- 21:36blatant. And so for Christine to be in
- 21:39the cul-de-sac and saying haven't seen him for a few days.
- 21:44I mean, what is he not allowed
- 21:46days? I don't think that's true.
- 21:48Is it the benefit that he can just stroll next door?
- 21:51Does he have to wait three days 'cause he's like, oh, I've got
- 21:53my rotation? Like, I don't believe it.
- 21:56She says that she knows he's somewhere on the property and if
- 22:01she hasn't seen him for a couple
- 22:03somewhere else on the property.
- 22:05She uses the property the. Property, which I love because
- 22:11It is because it is definitely four different properties, but
- 22:20one of those underground electric fences and Kody has
- 22:24like an air tag tracker or an electric probe in his shoes or
- 22:34something. Oh my God.
- 22:36After Christine talks about where Kody is, they joke about
- 22:43the only one that feels that way, which I thought was an
- 22:46interesting Colonel because she brings it up.
- 22:48I'm assuming this means my assumption would be Meri.
- 22:53I don't know that Janelle. I mean, maybe Janelle just
- 22:56agrees with her. Like, yeah, there are times
- 22:57where I don't know where Kody is.
- 22:59I don't see him for days. But I don't think it bothers
- 23:01Janelle in the same way. In Christine's book, she
- 23:04mentions about when they were in the rentals, how it wasn't super
- 23:12But then you would drive by and see his car at Robyn's
- 23:16repeatedly. And she would be trying to tell
- 23:19Meri and Janelle that he's there all the time, but they
- 23:23didn't believe her because it wasn't in their faces.
- 23:26Yeah. And so now she's hoping that
- 23:30they're noticing. And she says in her book that it
- 23:41knew. But now watching this back, it's
- 23:47about it. And she's trying to call it out
- 23:50during, you know, the real time moment.
- 23:53She's trying to say hey, and she's trying to put it on Meri
- 24:00Like, hey, hey, they notice it too, but I don't think they
- 24:04really do. I think she's hoping they do.
- 24:06And I think she's probably been behind the scenes pointing it
- 24:09out to them like she says she did in her book.
- 24:13But they're they're burying their heads in the sand still.
- 24:24She's disconnected from the family for her own reasons.
- 24:26And we'll actually address that even more in this episode where
- 24:29she's doing her own thing. Who knows?
- 24:32Who knows? And Janelle's a fiercely
- 24:35independent bitch who's doing her own thing and probably just
- 24:38only cares to see Kody every once in a while so she can, you
- 24:42know, get her Kody time. And then there's Robyn, and he's
- 24:47being like, where the Hell's my husband, you know?
- 24:49And marriages go through different points in time where
- 24:57And it would make sense that at any point in time, each marriage
- 25:07relationship. But Christina's obviously
- 25:09looking for something that she is not getting right now, where
- 25:14I think that Meri is in a platonic place with him or a
- 25:19friendship place, if even that. And Janelle is in a platonic
- 25:23place, definitely friendship place with him.
- 25:25So she's not looking for any different type of connection.
- 25:28She's not wanting for anything. Robyn is in the romantic part of
- 25:35wishes that she was still in the romantic phase because, you
- 25:39know, she's our little Princess. She wants a fairy tale.
- 25:41And since they're not on the same page, this is just all so
- 25:53little Princess. I'm like, oh, are we taking
- 25:55ownership of Christine now? Our little Princess, our little.
- 25:59So I'm like, oh God, I don't want to be a part of that
- 26:03Kingdom. Chris is like, just call me
- 26:04daddy. Just.
- 26:05Call me Daddy, Christine. I'm here to take care of you.
- 26:09Baby Kody also highlights that
- 26:13together. So day in and day out are very
- 26:16different for them. And I was just L0L, 0L in
- 26:19because I'm going, Oh yeah, you're a huge enterprise, my
- 26:23sister wife's closet that you have what, a meeting once a week
- 26:26or every other week and nobody
- 26:29Yeah, he says that the the other
- 26:34You know, we're in a business together now.
- 26:38Yeah, OK, a lot. Has changed for them.
- 26:40The dynamics have changed because you are in a business
- 26:44together, so now you have to be business minded with all of
- 26:46your wives and not just Janelle.
- 26:50Totally. This man.
- 26:51Then they were going to show us a flashback to a meaningless
- 26:55meeting of the My Sister Wives closet, flashback to being at
- 27:01Meri's table in the Rentals I believe, and we have to talk
- 27:09about the BBP. Oh, the BBP.
- 27:13The big boy panties comment. Yeah, that flashback was when
- 27:16Robyn told Kody to put on his big boy panties about something
- 27:20and I had never heard BBP before.
- 27:22This is first for me because Janelle tells us that it became
- 27:26a joke at home and with production after this little
- 27:29sound bite became a thing. Big boy panties.
- 27:32Yeah, They turned it into this little acronym.
- 27:35Is that what you call it? Production would crack jokes on
- 27:40set about it, and they crack jokes about it now, and it's
- 27:44become a thing. And there's no reason out of all
- 27:53than the fact that they think it's cute and they're trying to
- 27:56make something out of it for the viewers.
- 27:58They're trying to make fetch happen.
- 28:00Yeah, I don't know that we'll ever hear BBP again.
- 28:03No, Tamron asks Kody if he owns big boy panties and if he's
- 28:08embraced them. Embraced the big boy panties.
- 28:11Kody, of course, is like, yeah, nothing more to say.
- 28:15Yes. Moving on.
- 28:17God. So Tamron Hall Tees up that they
- 28:25how Kody is with his wives, that he is accommodating with
- 28:28Meri, that he is matter of fact with Janelle, that he is
- 28:32jovial with Christine, and that he and Robyn are like
- 28:35newlyweds. And so Tamron asks, a show of
- 28:38hands. How many people think Danny is
- 28:40wrong? No one raises.
- 28:43Nobody. Nobody.
- 28:45Bueller. Bueller.
- 28:48I love when someone says show of
- 28:51their hands. I love whatever scenario it is.
- 28:53It doesn't even matter what it
- 28:54I'm just like, how fulfilling,
- 28:57Positive or negative, it's always kind of an awkward
- 29:00moment. We hear from Meri here that she
- 29:04did not like this accommodating comment.
- 29:09They believe that Danny knows them very well after working
- 29:12with them closely for as long as
- 29:16like the accommodating part of
- 29:20Well, she feels that she's more honest and loving with Kody and
- 29:24that's that's what should really
- 29:27loving. Yeah.
- 29:29At the end of the day, he is accommodating to her and she has
- 29:32to know that whether she's in denial about it or not, it is
- 29:34what it is. She says that she doesn't want
- 29:36Kody to feel that way, that he
- 29:39accommodating. He can be honest with her.
- 29:42She's honest with him. Yeah, he doesn't have to be
- 29:45accommodating for her. I don't want him to feel that
- 29:47way, bitch. Yes you do.
- 29:50Because if he wasn't then it would be a big fight every
- 29:52single time. Just like when you were in the
- 29:55process of picking out your fucking tile and you had to
- 29:58bring Robyn in to mediate for you guys.
- 30:00You know, like that would be happening every day if he just
- 30:04didn't concede and accommodate
- 30:07I think one of the things I want
- 30:09own personal life is have expectations of people, but then
- 30:13tell them I don't want them to
- 30:18right? I think that's great.
- 30:19Like I expect you to be accommodating to me, but I don't
- 30:22want you to feel like you have
- 30:23Oh my God, it's. So fucking Meri.
- 30:27It is her. Emotional roller coaster.
- 30:29I still, after all these years, I still do not have a finger, a
- 30:33thumb on whatever is going on with her emotionally.
- 30:36I don't get it. It's weird because there are
- 30:38times where I identify with her.
- 30:40I'm like, I'm such a fucking Meri.
- 30:41And then there are other times where I'm like, bet you're nuts.
- 30:45It's manipulation tactics. They all have their own little
- 30:49manipulation tactics, and this
- 30:51Like, oh, I don't want you to feel like you have to do that,
- 30:55but I'm kind of telling you that
- 31:00It's yeah, it's the manipulation.
- 31:02And everybody in this family has
- 31:06to get what they want. Because when you're in a family
- 31:08this big, that's kind of how it ends up playing out.
- 31:12You figure out how to get what
- 31:17just like children do out of their parents.
- 31:19Right, because you don't, I don't want to say get your way
- 31:22all that regularly, but there is
- 31:25going to go your way, quote UN quote or your desired outcome
- 31:28is not going to be the outcome.
- 31:30So yeah, you probably have to find overt and other ways to do
- 31:34it. It reminds me of a child of
- 31:37divorce that goes between the mom and the dad.
- 31:40Well, Dad said that I could get a PlayStation if you said that I
- 31:51It feels very much like that. And I even in the last episode,
- 31:56I was thinking that, oh, childhood divorce behavior kind
- 31:59of between them. It's something they all do.
- 32:03Christine chimes in and says, I think everyone would like to be
- 32:06in the place. Robyn is in the honeymoon phase.
- 32:11It's like a God. I mean, Amen, Christine.
- 32:15Everyone would love to be in the
- 32:17spouse forever. So awkward to bring that up and
- 32:21make a point to call it out again that you realize that he's
- 32:26still in that phase with another
- 32:30The bliss stage of relationships
- 32:33there really is no way of getting it back because once
- 32:36you know what you know about somebody, it's always going to
- 32:39color the rest of your feelings about them, whether that be
- 32:42good or bad. And it is just the nature of
- 32:47relationships. So you're you're chasing a pipe
- 32:50dream if you think you're ever going to get that back.
- 32:53You have to recreate stuff for yourself and she is just trying
- 32:56so hard and wants that so badly and it makes me feel for her.
- 33:01Well this is the thing about their family specifically is
- 33:05Kody probably had an infatuation slash love for Meri when they
- 33:11met and they were young. You know, I'm imagining that
- 33:14with her being in the polygamous cult and her parents being
- 33:18somewhat influential in that group.
- 33:21Piggy centric. Right, There was a there was
- 33:23reasons for him to be into her and then maybe they actually did
- 33:29attraction to her, etcetera, etcetera.
- 33:30Who knows what you know, I, I don't even know what to say
- 33:35about the Janelle thing. Christine.
- 33:36I don't think so. He has shared that he was
- 33:39literally not attracted to her and she has shared in her book
- 33:44So meeting Robyn and the way he talks about her even later in
- 33:49this episode, it does seem like he met someone that he was in
- 33:52love with. And that's so different from two
- 33:57So when you're talking about that, you know, infatuation at
- 34:05times that comes, I feel like in a real love or like a situation
- 34:09where you really do love and care for that person if you're
- 34:16obligation. Do you ever really get that ever
- 34:20I don't know. So Christine's going to always
- 34:26it's going to be. Yeah.
- 34:27Only time will tell. Yeah.
- 34:30And Tamron asks Kody, does each wife fulfill a different
- 34:33romantic need for you? Oh, because of course we have to
- 34:38Romantic and intellectual need, Kody says.
- 34:42I wouldn't call it needs because I could be married to any one of
- 34:51what you're doing? Well, I thought my reaction was,
- 34:57You're going to marry someone that wouldn't fulfill your
- 35:00functional marriage needs? Like I just.
- 35:02He's such an idiot. But then Robyn, Robyn has to go.
- 35:09Like we're on Family Feud and clapping with Steve Harvey.
- 35:13Good answer, good answer. It's on the board, It's up
- 35:16there, it's on the board. Everybody.
- 35:17It's going to be up there. That was awesome.
- 35:20Just saying that was awesome. Perfect.
- 35:23Like Oh my God, how many different ways can you applaud
- 35:27him for this answer that isn't
- 35:30No wonder he loves it. They are two peas in a pot.
- 35:33Dumb and fucking Dumber. Everyone needs a yes man, a hype
- 35:36person. She's just hyping him up.
- 35:40God. You guys, I'm looking for my
- 35:43Robyn. I'm.
- 35:44Looking for my hype woman. I'm looking for my Robyn.
- 35:46I'm. Looking for my Robyn if you're
- 35:49out there. My male version of a Robyn with
- 35:51a BBP big boy panties. Please let me.
- 35:56Know I'll be your Robyn for the time being, I'll be your I'll
- 35:58be your one woman gonna Robyn.
- 36:02quite a bit, honey. You just gonna have to agree
- 36:04with everything I say, and I don't want you to feel like you
- 36:07have to agree with everything else.
- 36:08Of course not. Of course not.
- 36:09No, no, no, I would never. But please do.
- 36:11I would never feel that way, but
- 36:15Kody says fitting their square
- 36:17Oh God, I love this square polygamist peg in a round
- 36:22monogamist hole would be impossible and I was going.
- 36:28I want more hole metaphors from Kody.
- 36:31Kody, give me more hole metaphors.
- 36:34I feel like. They've used this before.
- 36:37I feel like they've used this metaphor before and every time
- 36:40that they say it to compare your
- 36:48Kind of an unfortunate thing to do.
- 36:50Well, I thought it was quite a
- 36:54It definitely was. It was very titillating and
- 36:56stimulating for the senses. Oh God Robyn, what an idiot.
- 37:03Tamron asks if a monogamous relationship could be fulfilling
- 37:06to Kody and he says yes. So she asks, why not be a
- 37:10monogamist? Kody says why not be a
- 37:14polygamist? The question shows a sense of
- 37:17discrimination. Discrimination.
- 37:21Oh boy. They love to fall back to that.
- 37:25Like I said, I don't like to say
- 37:28back to this equality bit AD nauseam, like it's just their
- 37:31default. If you're asked a question and I
- 37:35rock, paper, scissors, square pegs and round holes, or
- 37:38something about equality and you're being discriminatory.
- 37:40He was saying to her, basically, that sounds very ableist of you.
- 37:46Yeah, yeah, so dumb. She glosses over it though.
- 37:50She just ignores that he says that.
- 37:52Yeah, she goes over to Meri. Does he meet all of your
- 37:55intellectual and romantic needs?
- 37:57And Meri says I am very happy in my marriage.
- 38:01I am. I am really happy in my
- 38:07relationship but. This bitch is so there.
- 38:10She's in it. She's in love, she cares about
- 38:15This is one of the first moments of this towel though, where I
- 38:21think so fucking phony. You are trying to pull the wool
- 38:26over everyone's eyes right now and you're not even putting on a
- 38:31I wonder at the time, in real time, as a viewer, if I would
- 38:35have picked up on it because that's a pattern I have with the
- 38:40saw it. Well, this is the first time I
- 38:46and I have, you know, the little bit of the foresight
- 38:50right, of what's happened. But I even sorry, that was just
- 38:54poor acting even for a kindergartner like it was.
- 38:58And they were right on her face for it.
- 39:02It was a close up of her saying it.
- 39:04I mean, I said it the way I did for a reason.
- 39:07I am very happy. I am like girl.
- 39:11Like she had a bomb under her butt and if she flinched it was
- 39:18going to go off or something. Tamron asks Janelle and Janelle
- 39:22says I'm very happy. I don't need or want for
- 39:26anything. Basically, yeah, yeah.
- 39:31I'm. I'm good.
- 39:32I'm good. Oh, nothing to see here.
- 39:36Everybody look away. We're all fine.
- 39:38Everybody's fine. Everybody's happy.
- 39:40OK, move on. Everyone in this family is
- 39:43fucking happy. Oh God, that's good.
- 39:46Tamron asks all the Brown family adults.
- 39:49How do you manage your affections?
- 39:51We talked about this so many times on this fucking show.
- 39:55It's like, Oh my God, who cares? The way she says it, though,
- 40:00you're a mere mortal, Kody. You're just a mere mortal.
- 40:06Well, someone's got to bring them back down to planet Earth.
- 40:09Kody says that there's not a
- 40:10favorite wife who's given dominion over the other wives.
- 40:15In other words, there's not a queen bee.
- 40:19It's like the question was, how do you manage your affections?
- 40:22I'm like where are we getting this from?
- 40:25Where? Where did we get from this?
- 40:27From that to this? What is happening here?
- 40:30They must have pulled out. Maybe he did answer.
- 40:33Someone answered about how they don't like to show affection in
- 40:35front of each other to be respectful of each other.
- 40:38They might have cut that out because this does feel like a
- 40:40later part of an answer at best.
- 40:42That's what I hate about this tell all.
- 40:45They're not giving us everything.
- 40:47It's just it's disjointed as everything is with these guys.
- 40:56That is something I get hung up on with this production company
- 40:58and with this show. It's sometimes I'm going, you
- 41:01guys must think we're really fucking dumb.
- 41:04It's funny that I'm saying that counter to me saying I don't
- 41:07know if I would have noticed like the first time I watched
- 41:09it. But really, it's like you must
- 41:14on at all. It's just bizarre.
- 41:16This kind of was the start of reality TV and they were still
- 41:24of the doubt here, maybe us as viewers didn't have high
- 41:28expectations of reality TV at the time.
- 41:31I still don't really have high expectations of it so.
- 41:33When most people I think would watch Sister Wives as a show
- 41:37that you have on and you're, I mean, today, most people
- 41:40probably be scrolling on their phones or doing whatever and who
- 41:49I mean, maybe similar vibes. I mean, I watched it, and I do
- 41:59it's not the most captivating show, you know?
- 42:03Yeah. As far as a producer, it would
- 42:08and hard to follow. It's ridiculous.
- 42:10I feel like one of the blessings and curses of having ADHD is
- 42:16that I notice everything but notice nothing at the same time,
- 42:23I have no idea what you. Mean like weird things that I'm
- 42:26not supposed to notice and like 0 in on them and then can't
- 42:30focus on what I'm supposed to be focused on so I do notice things
- 42:39Know, honey, that's your superpower.
- 42:41It is, yeah. That's what I'm going to tell my
- 42:48It's. Your superpower?
- 42:50Tamron asks them. Are you lacking in friendship
- 42:54for the sister wives? Are you all friends?
- 42:57And Kody starts answering. I don't think we're lacking.
- 42:59And Tamron cuts them off. Well, I'm asking the women and I
- 43:07because it's like, Kody, this question is not for you.
- 43:09She's not asking if you're friends with your wives.
- 43:11She's asking your wives if they are friends.
- 43:14Robyn has to flap her big jaw and she has to answer kind of
- 43:20mimicking Kody. Well yes, yes, but we all have
- 43:28Robyn. Almost like she jumped in after
- 43:32Tamron scolded Kody to try to ease that pain for him a little
- 43:37bit. The sting of being told to shut
- 43:40the fuck up. And they kind of all say yes,
- 43:44we're all, we're all four friends.
- 43:46And Christine elbows Meri in a joking way, like Yep, Yep, we're
- 43:53it. Yeah, and it's obviously
- 43:56Christine joking, but it's like joking with someone that you're
- 44:01not on that relationship level with.
- 44:03So it comes across as really awkward.
- 44:05And even Tamron calls it out and Meri is uncomfortable by it.
- 44:09You can tell. Yeah, after Christine nudges
- 44:11Meri with her elbow, Meri cracks the joke.
- 44:14Well, I guess we're not like, ha.
- 44:15And it's odd, cheesy, and everyone has forced laughter as
- 44:19if it is a situation that should be happening because
- 44:23they're so comfortable with each other when all reality
- 44:26they're not. And so it just comes across does
- 44:29like the energy in the room is
- 44:32Had shifted, it got very strange
- 44:36you all care for each other but I'm not convinced that you're
- 44:40all friends and asks who's everybody's best friends are.
- 44:46Christine says it depends on the
- 44:51other. Diplomatic answer yet again.
- 44:55And Meri responds to Tamron by
- 44:58there. I have some I'm more comfortable
- 45:01with than others, which of course is like, OK, Meri.
- 45:06Once again, a fucking Meri answer.
- 45:08And one thing that I wanted to
- 45:10being asked about them being friends at the beginning was
- 45:13that she said we all honor each other as sister wives.
- 45:17And I just thought that was such
- 45:19We honor each other as sister wives.
- 45:21So when you're being asked about
- 45:24acknowledging or denying, you're
- 45:27As sister wives, we get to have this fall back of this is our
- 45:30structure, this is our framework.
- 45:32We have to honor each other. Meri saying that she's closer
- 45:35with some than others. I mean, another throwaway thing,
- 45:38without really saying that you
- 45:41whatever. And that's where in Christine is
- 45:43like Meri and I have had a lot
- 45:46conversations. And there are days where I'm
- 45:49struggling and Meri's the person
- 45:53There are days I'm struggling and Janelle's the person I come
- 45:56to. There are days I'm struggling
- 45:58and Robyn's the person I go to.
- 46:00It depends on where we feel safe at the time.
- 46:03The closeness changes all the time and I'm going.
- 46:07I wonder when the last time was Christine went to marry or Robyn
- 46:15I don't think it's with any regularity.
- 46:17Meri says all of the relationships are as different
- 46:26OK, tell me that you haven't practiced these answers without
- 46:28telling me you haven't practiced these answers.
- 46:30Yeah, she's got her stock responses down, that's for sure.
- 46:38turn for us, a easy transition
- 46:44So for those of you that thought
- 46:48Nope. The flashbacks will continue.
- 46:51Never. We will never.
- 46:52Be done with that. 2046, when you're listening to us right
- 46:56here on this podcast, you'll be hearing about Meri's baby
- 46:59decision. Yep, Yep, Yep, Yep.
- 47:01So she says to Meri, you've been
- 47:03baby for a few years. Let's take a look.
- 47:07I just love. Let's take a look.
- 47:08I want to start saying that in
- 47:11hosting a meeting, I want to be like, let's take a look.
- 47:14I'm going to bring up this Excel
- 47:16Let's take a look. And of course they show clips of
- 47:20Meri's baby decision, Kody Hemming and hawing, him clearing
- 47:25his throat, which is my favorite
- 47:27him not even being able to get
- 47:29having to backtrack or clear his
- 47:32Choking on his answer. And Meri's saying let's Stew on
- 47:36it. And Kody's saying no.
- 47:39Let's think on it as a no. Yeah, and then her telling Robyn
- 47:44in that weird scene where Robyn is, what did you say,
- 47:48grimacing. Yeah, God.
- 47:49Grimacing through the conversation.
- 47:51Well, he said no, We we've decided.
- 47:55We decided it, it's going to be a no.
- 47:59And they show Robyn and Meri's conversation, and as they're
- 48:04showing that flashback, we get the picture.
- 48:07In picture, we see Kody watching the conversation happening
- 48:11between them, and Kody looks super contemplative.
- 48:14It looks like he's got some anger building in him.
- 48:18While he's watching the footage. Back while he's watching the
- 48:22conversation between them, it's almost like he can see how his
- 48:31right? That makes sense.
- 48:34He's seeing the wheels turning for Robyn in the clip and how
- 48:38she might be disappointed in him and you can tell he doesn't like
- 48:52situation and watching footage of other people talking about
- 48:55you. So that's something that I
- 48:58personally don't think I've ever had happen.
- 49:00It's also a game of telephone you're watching happen because
- 49:07Now Meri's telling Robyn the conversation in her words, and
- 49:16happened. It's always going to be that way
- 49:22It would be a very, very humbling experience if you were
- 49:28someone that could be humbled, but Kody is not.
- 49:32Right. So he's getting angry.
- 49:34Right, A normal person might take something from that and.
- 49:39Realize. Maybe craft their conversations
- 49:41more carefully or do something to have some learning from it.
- 49:45I came across this way and I didn't mean to.
- 49:47Oh, I maybe need to work on my delivery next time.
- 49:51Not this guy. No, no, no.
- 49:54Absolutely not, Tamron says Meri, you told Robyn that you
- 49:58mutually decided no, but that wasn't a mutual decision that I
- 50:02saw. So this is what I like about
- 50:05Tamron Hall here because she does, and This is why Kody
- 50:08doesn't like her, is that even though some of her questions are
- 50:14where she's going, you know, you said it was mutual and it didn't
- 50:21having a baby one sided. I'm having a flashback now to
- 50:25our previous episode where she said, you know, having a baby to
- 50:35way that everyone else does. I don't do things to fit in.
- 50:38So I'm not going to have a baby to fit in with you ladies.
- 50:41Right. Bizarre.
- 50:42Really. And Tamron asked, how did you
- 50:44feel with Kody saying no over and over and over?
- 50:50Oh my goodness. Meri admits that she wasn't at a
- 50:53full yes yet, but she was ready to look into it more.
- 50:59I'm like what the fuck? And how?
- 51:02How were you ready to look into it more?
- 51:05You're spinning your wheels here, lady.
- 51:08You're going in circles. Because this is such a moot
- 51:12point. I mean, they didn't even do what
- 51:13they said they were doing anyway.
- 51:15So yeah, she's ready to start having the conversation about
- 51:18next steps, and he's saying no.
- 51:20But even that conversation wasn't really even that.
- 51:25No. The whole thing is just gross.
- 51:30hate Meri. We're done with Meri's baby
- 51:32decision. I kind of, I'm not going to say
- 51:33it, but I kind of feel like even as a podcast, maybe we
- 51:36should just be like, we are never talking about Meri's baby
- 51:39decision again. Yeah, it's very frustrating to
- 51:42So annoying. Bad sitcom and Jason like we've
- 51:45said. This does lead into a different
- 51:48conversation though about being an empty nester.
- 51:51And Kody reminds Meri that technically, she will not be an
- 51:56empty nester because she can still nurture and be there for
- 52:09Sister wives, your families are one.
- 52:13Yeah. I don't understand why she has
- 52:19moments where, and I hate these moments, but when Kody's
- 52:22speaking and I'm going, yeah, you know, like I agree with
- 52:27Kody, you have young kids, a lot of little kids who need
- 52:31nurturing and mothering, as you said.
- 52:32And we've always tried to do that all together.
- 52:35And even if it was just bullshit for the cameras, from episode 1
- 52:39of Season 1, they've made it quite apparent to everybody that
- 52:45Kody says they are siblings. He beats us over the head with
- 52:50this show about Meri. Hello.
- 52:52You're supposed to be mothering these other kids and giving
- 52:55examples of what she could be doing to do it.
- 52:57And so it's hard to not agree with Kody in this moment.
- 53:00It's so hard for kids to get one-on-one time with a parent in
- 53:09couldn't even have a rotation where one of the kids spends a
- 53:17some actual one-on-one parenting time or a special.
- 53:21Moment yes, because it reminds me of being when I was young I
- 53:27parents for you know, a week or something and I loved it because
- 53:32It was all about me. I developed a special
- 53:35relationship with my grandparents through that and
- 53:37the only things that came out of it were positive experiences for
- 53:42north, you just walk to the next lot in your property, you
- 53:46know? That's why it's crazy to me that
- 53:49she has such a strained relationship with all of the
- 53:52children nowadays because she kind of was set up that she
- 53:57could have been the parent that they all came to.
- 54:00She had the most capacity and spare time for extra children to
- 54:06come to her. And it's just unfortunate that
- 54:09it wasn't that way. And.
- 54:12I love the sound of the children
- 54:14And I'm going, did you have them
- 54:17footage? Because we heard previously that
- 54:19all the kids had to be quiet in your house because you were
- 54:22like, this is the thing about Meri.
- 54:23It's like nothing is what it seems.
- 54:25Nothing's what she even says. And of course, this is just a
- 54:27huge hypothetical, but if Christine would have been the
- 54:31wife that only was able to have one child, I think things would
- 54:35have played out completely differently in this family.
- 54:37I think Christine would have had
- 54:41all the time, giving them that
- 54:45know, if she had only had one child, I just feel like this
- 54:49family dynamic would have been
- 54:52I mean, you can't do hypotheticals like that, but I
- 54:54just makes you wonder. And it just makes you realize it
- 54:58is Meri's personality. Like, that didn't happen for a
- 55:01reason. Yeah.
- 55:04Maybe it was God. Perhaps.
- 55:09So now we get to live through Tamron reviewing how Robyn
- 55:13shared her sexual history with
- 55:17she joined. Well, when she was being courted
- 55:19by Kody, she was very transparent about her sexual
- 55:23history and I wanted to make sure that I said the terms
- 55:26sexual history because that is
- 55:30And then Tamron asks if Robyn's story concerned anyone.
- 55:34Was it an issue for any of you
- 55:38Janelle says it never was for me.
- 55:42And I'm like Janelle, nothing.
- 55:44Ever. You didn't give a fuck, you
- 55:46were. I shouldn't say that she was
- 55:48just not affected, she's just never is.
- 55:51It wasn't like Robyn rolled up
- 55:54Sweet headboard with all the notches on it of all of the
- 55:59conquests she's had. What are they fucking talking
- 56:03about here? She slept with one guy, she
- 56:06ended up marrying him and he fathered her other children.
- 56:09It's like she didn't roll up with this bedposts of notches
- 56:13like what the fuck. I love that visual of the keep
- 56:17sweet headboard with the notches
- 56:20It's so good. You're right.
- 56:21I mean, literally she's sharing a story about premarital sex,
- 56:24getting pregnant, and then marrying that man.
- 56:26It's not exactly like, well, I'm
- 56:29screening and I'm clear for everything except for
- 56:31definitely one. We all know she got one, so, you
- 56:37she was a street Walker, which I do like to imply, but that's not
- 56:41pay for the homes, but she wasn't doing it at this time,
- 56:45allegedly, Allegedly. And oh, we get another example
- 56:51I think Kody does love Robyn. For what reason?
- 56:54God only knows. But he says.
- 56:56When I first met Robyn, in my view, she was a pure woman,
- 57:01someone I respected completely and ultimately now, honey, as
- 57:05the respectful man on this podcast who always bends at the
- 57:10knee, always puts women first, I'd love to know what you think
- 57:14about how Kody thought Robyn was a pure woman.
- 57:18It's just misogynistic to even think that she needed that
- 57:23approval from you to begin with, right?
- 57:25That she needed you to think that way about her to begin
- 57:28with? Oh, she just needed you to.
- 57:31Yep, she needed that to fulfill her in some sort of way and make
- 57:39him. It's just self-centered.
- 57:41He was married to three women. She didn't have to be concerned
- 57:44if he was fucking pure. And why would you even be
- 57:47worried about if someone was? It's just, yeah, it's so gross.
- 57:51The whole sexual history thing
- 57:52in relationships is it's a red
- 57:57many people you've slept with.
- 58:01relationship with pure expectations, you shouldn't
- 58:06care. You shouldn't care about their
- 58:08history. What matters is the here and now
- 58:11and how they are with you and that their history has brought
- 58:15them to this moment and that they've learned from it, whether
- 58:18it be sexual, whether it just be, you know, the lessons that
- 58:24they've learned in life. That's what makes a person who
- 58:28they are. So why does it have to be such a
- 58:32big thing? It's a religion thing, and
- 58:36that's where I struggle with the
- 58:40love everybody. Bull fucking shit bullshit
- 58:43bullshit. Bullshit.
- 58:46I'm thinking even if I wanted to
- 58:49feel like there might be a difference between being 21,
- 58:53you're in college, blah blah blah and you discuss your body
- 58:55count number. And I don't want to say that
- 58:58anyone should be ashamed in that
- 59:01that would be a thing a little
- 59:05woman with three kids and a man who's married to three women.
- 59:08It's like this is just so not applicable.
- 59:11It's just strange. It isn't applicable at all.
- 59:14It is weird. I, I've just feel like there's
- 59:17just another way to shame women though, to, to ask the body
- 59:20count question when you start dating.
- 59:23I it's a way to, it's a way to
- 59:27unnecessary. It doesn't matter.
- 59:29It's got nothing to do with the here and now, so.
- 59:33And so unfair based on gender because I don't know any man in
- 59:38my life who feels like they need
- 59:43history at all. I mean, let's say I've met one
- 59:47or two men in my entire life that feel like they need to
- 59:49downplay their sexual history for some reason.
- 59:51Women have such pressure for that and it's ridiculous.
- 59:55I feel like if a man downplays
- 59:59internalized shame, maybe around
- 1:00:04that they like slept around, but
- 1:00:09The external shame and then that
- 1:00:12from how you were raised and like the internalized misogyny
- 1:00:18and you know, whatever. So they just this whole chastity
- 1:00:25conversation and spiel that was done by Robyn is disgusting to
- 1:00:32me that they put it on TV and it's because of the time.
- 1:00:37I get it. This was this aired a long time
- 1:00:39ago, but do you think that they would do this now?
- 1:00:45Probably they would. I don't know what I'm talking
- 1:00:46about. They would.
- 1:00:47They would, and I would argue that it really wasn't that long
- 1:00:51ago. It was literally just 13 years
- 1:00:54ago. I mean, I just, I'm right now,
- 1:00:57for some reason, I'm getting a
- 1:00:59boys all together, high 5 and smacking hands about the, you
- 1:01:03know, another conquest, another whatever.
- 1:01:05And that's a stereotype that I
- 1:01:07But for some reason women are supposed to be ashamed of
- 1:01:12something similar. And I I just it's.
- 1:01:14Gross. Yeah.
- 1:01:15I feel like whenever I started
- 1:01:17asked me how many people that I had slept with, I would just
- 1:01:21say, you know what? I don't know.
- 1:01:23Yeah, because to me, like you're
- 1:01:29obviously are going to feel some
- 1:01:32answer, whether it's less than
- 1:01:35inexperienced then and I'm naive
- 1:01:40because, oh, maybe she's not going to be a good, good lay
- 1:01:43because she doesn't know what to do or oh, she's slept with too
- 1:01:46many people and she's a whore.
- 1:01:49I don't want to be with her. Oh, she's loose.
- 1:01:51And that's just the stereotype
- 1:01:54if you do, you're damned if you don't.
- 1:01:55So I would just be like, you know what?
- 1:01:57I'm not sure. I'd have to think about it.
- 1:02:00And if their reaction was what
- 1:02:03then I fucking knew right then
- 1:02:06person. I would love in a situation like
- 1:02:09that, to be able to have the gumption to say, what number
- 1:02:12would you like to hear? Like, do you want to hear 4
- 1:02:15'cause I'll tell you 4. Like what do you want to hear?
- 1:02:17Do you want to hear 10? I'll tell you 10.
- 1:02:19You know, if you're a homosexual, it's like you want
- 1:02:21to hear 82 'cause I'll tell you 82.
- 1:02:23Like what number do you want to fucking hear?
- 1:02:25Yeah, if anyone that's listening
- 1:02:28through the dating scene right
- 1:02:31through the dating scene and you're hearing questions like
- 1:02:33this, it's just it's a red flag and it doesn't need to be a
- 1:02:37conversation. And we're we're in fucking 2026.
- 1:02:40It doesn't need to be a conversation anymore.
- 1:02:43But during this scene, we get a flashback to Robbins purity
- 1:02:46speech in front of Meri's crooked fireplace mantle.
- 1:02:48Every time I see a flashback to Robbins purity speech, I just
- 1:02:53part of my heartwarms over that crooked fireplace mantle.
- 1:02:58They include a couch moment from
- 1:03:01sitting next to Kody and they use this footage in the episode.
- 1:03:05But she explicitly says in this flashback that she had
- 1:03:08premarital sex with her boyfriend and I don't recall
- 1:03:12watching that during the episode.
- 1:03:14Remember this is like we made fun of it how she was like oh
- 1:03:18and he wanted whatever he wanted.
- 1:03:19Then there was a long silence and then she's like, so then I
- 1:03:22was pregnant. We made fun of it because it's
- 1:03:25like you missed a step. They skirted around it.
- 1:03:28And in this footage, they're showing her talking about it.
- 1:03:30And this is not the last time it'll happen in this episode.
- 1:03:33And I'm going, you know, what I like about reality TV, at least
- 1:03:36now, is they'll put a little thing in the bottom third saying
- 1:03:39unaired footage or something. Because it's like, why are you
- 1:03:41trying to make it seem like we
- 1:03:43She was upfront about this, right?
- 1:03:46She was, but we didn't get that in the episode.
- 1:03:48Tamron claims that she cried while watching this during the
- 1:03:54show. Tamron lost some big points for
- 1:03:56me on this. Me too, and Robyn says that a
- 1:04:00lot of girls hide this, especially in our church.
- 1:04:03I can tell girls not to sell themselves short.
- 1:04:08Oh my gosh, again with putting
- 1:04:15OK, we get it. Yes, Tamron uses this as a segue
- 1:04:19into asking them how they discuss sex with their children
- 1:04:24and how they plan to talk to them about it.
- 1:04:29And Christine says that the kids
- 1:04:32parents. Her kids can always come to her
- 1:04:35with any question anytime that they need to.
- 1:04:37But she also says this is a conversation you can have with
- 1:04:43And that's all. I thought it was interesting
- 1:04:47that she segmented that the question is for their parents
- 1:04:50and their parents only. This brings up an interesting
- 1:04:54topic thing I I don't feel like I would want to tell my children
- 1:05:03probably should be some other person they can go to and it
- 1:05:07felt very cult vibes to me. I don't know why you would
- 1:05:12emphasize to your children that they should only talk about sex
- 1:05:15or ask questions about sex to their parents.
- 1:05:18Because we have a script, and we only want you to know what we
- 1:05:22want you to know. Yeah.
- 1:05:23And that's it. I also found that Robyn's
- 1:05:26language about selling herself short, yeah was very telling
- 1:05:30about who Robyn is. Selling herself short.
- 1:05:35Most people probably would gloss over the notion of selling
- 1:05:40yourself short in the way that the statements usually meant.
- 1:05:43But then when I think about Robyn, I think, no, you probably
- 1:05:49is something to do with how you should be treated, the
- 1:05:52lifestyle you should have, the things you should get.
- 1:05:55You're so much better than that guy.
- 1:05:57Exactly what you. Settled for Yeah.
- 1:06:01Janelle says that Maddie has come up and had a conversation
- 1:06:09and how their choices have affected them, and she's happy
- 1:06:15And she sees it now. She sees it in this public
- 1:06:19school. I felt like that was just
- 1:06:23Janelle trying to affirm that. Oh yeah, yeah, we, we we've got
- 1:06:27this. We did it right.
- 1:06:28My older child comes up to me and tells me.
- 1:06:31Janelle continues that every choice you make in life, be it
- 1:06:38Every parent is trying to do their best based on how they
- 1:06:43were raised. So it just, it just sucks
- 1:06:47because we have enough research, we have enough knowledge that we
- 1:06:58Children's Health. They just really are.
- 1:07:01And you need to face the facts. And in this time, they already
- 1:07:09they weren't. They weren't heeding the
- 1:07:12warnings. Yeah.
- 1:07:12One thing you've said on this show that I agree with, and I
- 1:07:15think it's so important for any parent out there that's
- 1:07:18listening, is the importance of being available to your
- 1:07:24children. If they make a quote UN quote
- 1:07:27mistake, if they do something and they're fretting about it or
- 1:07:41things, then be the parent that your children can.
- 1:07:44Come to then your kids can't be scared of you.
- 1:07:46They need to be able to come to you and you're going to set them
- 1:07:52success or failure based on how you react to things that
- 1:07:55they come to you with. Even as a small child.
- 1:07:58Like we were talking the other day and my son knocked over some
- 1:08:11He's four years old. He came and got me.
- 1:08:13He asked me for help. And while I was mad, I took the
- 1:08:17time to say to him, thank you for coming to get me to help
- 1:08:21with the situation. You know, you're not supposed to
- 1:08:27But thank you for coming and getting me, you know, to help
- 1:08:30you instead of trying to hide this.
- 1:08:32And I gave myself a little pat on the back for that because if
- 1:08:38I was that kid and if I had knocked over some of my dad's
- 1:08:42art equipment at that age and I did do this, I would have tried
- 1:08:47with everything in me to hide it because I would have been
- 1:08:50scared. So scared.
- 1:08:51I would have been so scared of the consequences.
- 1:08:53I I definitely did try to hide things and did hide things as a
- 1:08:57child because of it. I think it's important for any
- 1:09:07to make them feel comfortable to talk to you.
- 1:09:10Yeah, is super important. And then to manage your own
- 1:09:13reactions like you're the parent.
- 1:09:14Please manage your own. You can have any feels you have.
- 1:09:18in your brain, but manage your
- 1:09:23try to have an open space for your children.
- 1:09:25Or if you do have a big reaction, admit to it afterwards
- 1:09:27and say, you know, I had a big
- 1:09:31This is why, you know, you just have to be open and honest and
- 1:09:37these guys are not even open and
- 1:09:41with each other. So how are they doing it with
- 1:09:44their children? I don't know.
- 1:09:46They can't even be honest with
- 1:09:48No, Tamron. Well, and of course, with all
- 1:09:53this purity speak, it gives Tamron an opportunity to ask if
- 1:09:56Mckelty is the one that's boy crazy.
- 1:09:59Of course Christine says yes, and Tamron looks over at Kody
- 1:10:03and says, Kody, you know your eyes.
- 1:10:05I feel the steam coming off of
- 1:10:09And of course Kody has to do the
- 1:10:11Do you know that the shotgun is loaded?
- 1:10:13And it's like, oh God, Kody, you're just such a fucking
- 1:10:16walking stereotype. Right.
- 1:10:18Tamron also asks Kody. Do you think that boys will see
- 1:10:22that you have 4 wives and think that you're more laid?
- 1:10:25Back Yeah, yeah, I. Thought that was interesting
- 1:10:28because, yeah, Robyn says that
- 1:10:33sometimes they joke and say you're a pimp because they just
- 1:10:37don't get it. And I think she's thinking of
- 1:10:41this in the literal pimp sense.
- 1:10:43But I don't know if anyone remembers how big the word pimp
- 1:10:47was at this time. It was such a part of our
- 1:10:51vernacular in the 20 tens. Pimp my ride, pimp this, pimp
- 1:10:56that. You're such a pimp.
- 1:10:58It didn't mean that they thought he was an actual pimp.
- 1:11:03Yeah, they're really leaning into the whole notion of him
- 1:11:07being some sort of authority figure and his wives being
- 1:11:12little subservient whatnots. Or just the literal pimp.
- 1:11:15Like a literal pimp. People mean.
- 1:11:17Probably when they're 2013, if a 13 year old was like, yo, that
- 1:11:28just walks away. I just, I just walk away when I
- 1:11:32hear things like that. They just don't know.
- 1:11:33They just don't get it. It's how big of you, Kody.
- 1:11:37Yes. Tamron asks can your girls date?
- 1:11:44Christine says Mckelty can't because she's 17, which of
- 1:11:49course you know Tamron has to look at everyone for what this
- 1:11:52means. And Janelle says they need to be
- 1:11:5416 before they can even group date.
- 1:11:58So Tamron's kind of looking curiously like, so you can group
- 1:12:02date at 16 and individual date
- 1:12:06And Christine says yes, but please don't, don't individual
- 1:12:09date. And I'm like.
- 1:12:10What the fuck? What does this mean?
- 1:12:13So if your 18 year old child is being asked to not individual
- 1:12:18date even in a joking manner by you, it's like what are you
- 1:12:21talking about? Who is going to not date ever?
- 1:12:25She didn't say it jokingly either though.
- 1:12:27She said it like Oh no, oh gosh,
- 1:12:30Like can you even imagine? Right.
- 1:12:33An 18 year old going out on a date is too much for Christine
- 1:12:36Brown. Yeah, I don't even know what the
- 1:12:39fuck to say to that. The next thing we're going to
- 1:12:42talk about is the panel discussion.
- 1:12:45Oh boy, oh boy, one of our favorite episodes.
- 1:12:49Oh yeah, and they show us flashbacks again.
- 1:12:56They don't give us our little morsel of Tamron saying let's
- 1:13:01take a look. No, what is it?
- 1:13:03She didn't say. Let's take a look,
- 1:13:05unfortunately. No, they show bits of the panel
- 1:13:09discussion that they didn't show
- 1:13:11Again. Yeah.
- 1:13:14One thing in particular here is that they show Kody saying,
- 1:13:19Kristen, I am nothing like your husband.
- 1:13:22Let's start there. Yeah.
- 1:13:25So things did get maybe a little
- 1:13:29on in the actual episode, which I'm kind of shocked that they
- 1:13:34didn't go there then during the episode because this was more
- 1:13:37heated than Robyn's dumb ass response to what was said.
- 1:13:44Her first chugga, chugga Choo Choo.
- 1:13:45And then her actual response, which she'd been waiting the
- 1:13:48whole time to say as he. Pointed out she'd been bidding
- 1:13:50her time to say her famous line.
- 1:13:52And that was more salacious. And also, when Colleen was
- 1:13:55sharing about her back story, she included that her father
- 1:13:58went to jail because of the abuse happened in her home.
- 1:14:02These were things that should have been in the fucking episode
- 1:14:13juice to align with the reaction from the Browns about
- 1:14:17how, you know, they called it a debate.
- 1:14:18And even Tamron said, well, it
- 1:14:21it a debate. Like she pointed out that it was
- 1:14:23like, why was it so contentious in a way?
- 1:14:25And then they show this extra footage and it's like, well, OK,
- 1:14:28this actually does make sense that it was more contentious
- 1:14:30than what we even saw. We talked about this during our
- 1:14:33panel discussion episode where
- 1:14:38not everything, and it felt disjointed.
- 1:14:41And they're doing it again with this tell.
- 1:14:43All right now. Yeah.
- 1:14:45Yeah. It fucking sucks because from an
- 1:14:47editorial standpoint, if you're trying to make a point, include
- 1:14:50the things that make the point
- 1:14:52The very least telling for your story.
- 1:14:55What the fuck? So frustrating.
- 1:14:59But my favorite part of this flashback, I have to say, was
- 1:15:02Professor Creepo. When they're wrapping up the
- 1:15:05panel, he says, well, we're out of time and God willed it, I'm
- 1:15:09sure. And I thought, did we miss that
- 1:15:11in the first? Did I miss that?
- 1:15:13Did he say it? I don't know if.
- 1:15:15I don't think we saw it. I.
- 1:15:16Don't think we saw it because I was like this is so amazing
- 1:15:18we're out of time and God willed
- 1:15:22Fucking Professor Creepo. Good.
- 1:15:25Someone give him a cookie for that joke.
- 1:15:28Cameron asks Christine about being nervous to see her aunt.
- 1:15:31Oh, I mean, excuse me, her mother's sister.
- 1:15:35And Christine starts out by saying I'm frustrated with her.
- 1:15:38She's publicly against plural marriage, and here I am just
- 1:15:43trying to show that we're normal.
- 1:15:45I spent so many summers at her
- 1:15:47We had good talks and I watched her dysfunctional marriage and
- 1:15:51I knew her and now she's against
- 1:15:56just another point of why didn't they keep in Kody's thing to
- 1:16:00her aunt being like your husband was an asshole and I'm not
- 1:16:03like him. And here Christina's doubling
- 1:16:05down on that and like OK, we know it.
- 1:16:07We know it. The wives seem to me to be in
- 1:16:10denial about the things that the anti plagues were talking about
- 1:16:14and paralleled in ways where it was like, but no, you've
- 1:16:18actually experienced this and in the future you will acknowledge
- 1:16:21that. So I'm wondering, you know, is
- 1:16:27What's really fueling their stead fitness and their
- 1:16:30defensiveness? Like, what part of becoming
- 1:16:33famous and having, you know, to not live in poverty anymore
- 1:16:37plays into their, you know, absolute rejection of anything
- 1:16:42everything's fine and everything's wonderful when we
- 1:16:46But they seem so defensive and adamant about defending their
- 1:16:51marriages. And it's like, well.
- 1:16:53Well, and it's weird because Christine says right in that
- 1:16:57whole spiel that she watched her aunt's dysfunctional marriage.
- 1:17:09wasn't a nice guy. She said that during the panel
- 1:17:27disconnect. They're just in denial of their
- 1:17:33situation. And that's why I'm wondering
- 1:17:35what the fuel of that denial is. And I think it's their current
- 1:17:44preservation. Yeah, and it totally feels like
- 1:17:47the cult thing to me. You know, keep sweet.
- 1:17:51The whole thing's so convoluted to me.
- 1:17:53I lose track of my own thoughts when I'm thinking about it
- 1:17:56'cause it's so fucked up. Same, same 'cause then Robyn
- 1:17:59says that they're there to tell us that we are wrong.
- 1:18:03They're just, they're just there to tell us that we're wrong.
- 1:18:06And Kody says that they are letting their bad experience
- 1:18:11influence all plural marriage. That's kind of what we do,
- 1:18:15though. We let our perspective guide us
- 1:18:17in what we know and what we understand about the world.
- 1:18:21So Robyn says again, we validate that they had a hard time, but
- 1:18:31I I don't understand how they can't come to the conclusion
- 1:18:36that yes, there are both sides of things and these people
- 1:18:40aren't out to get you. When Robyn was circling back to
- 1:18:45when the panelists were saying you're wrong and your family
- 1:18:49needs to be broken apart is what Robyn says.
- 1:18:53And I'm going I don't recall anyone on the panel saying that
- 1:18:57now once again it was edited, but I didn't get a vibe that
- 1:19:00anyone on the panel was saying that the Brown family needed to
- 1:19:03be broken apart. I don't think anyone was making
- 1:19:05any action item requests of them or telling them that they
- 1:19:08should be doing something. It felt like the anti plagues
- 1:19:12were trying to share their experiences and a broad brush of
- 1:19:23that they were wrong, that the Browns were wrong and that their
- 1:19:30It's once again, where are you coming up with these you should
- 1:19:33be's and what should happens because no one else is saying
- 1:19:36that. Yeah, this is where I, I do like
- 1:19:45they aren't willing to validate the positive experiences.
- 1:19:48And Tamron cuts in and says, but are you the norm or are they the
- 1:19:57Hello. What's the, you know, common
- 1:20:00thread here, right? What is the higher percentage
- 1:20:05here? The good or the bad, you know.
- 1:20:11what Robyn was saying. We validate that there's abuse
- 1:20:17And Robyn Wright, we're not saying these things didn't
- 1:20:19happen in the communities or in plural marriage.
- 1:20:21It's like, OK, OK, got it. And so Tamron says, so you're
- 1:20:26saying it doesn't happen in your home.
- 1:20:28Which brings me to Colleen, which gives Christine an
- 1:20:32opportunity to kind of have this little moment talking about
- 1:20:35Colleen. And she's like, my heart, it
- 1:20:38just breaks for Colleen. She's had a tough, tough go.
- 1:20:42When she met us last summer at the end, it seemed like it was
- 1:20:56heart's still breaking. It's just sad.
- 1:21:00I feel like this is all a bit dismissive of the situation,
- 1:21:05right? Like, Oh yeah, like her heart's
- 1:21:06breaking and she's had it rough, but why isn't she better
- 1:21:09now or something? It is very like, why isn't she
- 1:21:14experience with us. We were supposed to change her
- 1:21:19speak is driving me nuts with this fucking family.
- 1:21:22We validate her. We validate her negative
- 1:21:24experiences. We validate they don't validate
- 1:21:26that we have positive ones. I hate weaponizing therapy
- 1:21:29speech. It really gets under my skin.
- 1:21:31Yeah, I just kind of thought that was, again, a big nothing
- 1:21:38try to bring up hope. What we tried to help her.
- 1:21:42Right. Yeah.
- 1:21:42It's unfortunate that she couldn't see light from our
- 1:21:45eyes. Whatever bullshit Tamron brings
- 1:21:47up from the outside. Are you the norm?
- 1:21:50There are men who have been accused and convicted in many
- 1:21:54cases of child abuse and spousal abuse.
- 1:21:57Are they the norm? And Janelle says, well, from
- 1:22:01families we know we are the norm Fucking Janelle.
- 1:22:05Janelle is just so quick at pulling the wool over the eyes
- 1:22:11along, move along. Yeah, Tamron says, well, why
- 1:22:14aren't more people standing up? And Christine says, well,
- 1:22:18because they're afraid. And Meri talks about how she
- 1:22:22lost her job when they came out, and it's not fair for them to
- 1:22:26put this on to others. And nobody else has stepped
- 1:22:30forward. But we also can't put that
- 1:22:32burden on other people. From what I know, the Browns and
- 1:22:44this world. And then obviously their
- 1:22:46immediate family, the, you know, their moms that come and join
- 1:22:50for episodes here and there and Robyns, some of her sisters that
- 1:23:03kind of the exception to the rule and there are other
- 1:23:07families like us out there. They're not comfortable coming
- 1:23:14And you know what instances of child abuse do go up when you
- 1:23:20have extra people in the family. There is this, there is that.
- 1:23:24And we want to dispel from our perspective some of this
- 1:23:29information and help families like us to be able to come out
- 1:23:36They can't just say that they have to be so defensive.
- 1:23:41And the fact that they're so defensive shows me that they
- 1:23:46know there's bubbles cracking in their relationship and that it's
- 1:23:54Otherwise why would you be hiding behind this?
- 1:23:58Well, it's this is the norm for a lot of people thing and when
- 1:24:07That families have with going public, she says.
- 1:24:09It's scary to be very vulnerable and to be open.
- 1:24:13And once again, I'm, I'm I'm going to let go about my anger
- 1:24:22They use these words, but then their actions don't align.
- 1:24:24There's a lot of actions that don't align to the words with
- 1:24:28this fucking family. They are liars.
- 1:24:30The other thing is when Meri talking about being fired when
- 1:24:36across the board, then how are they going to support
- 1:24:39themselves? Do I believe that Meri was fired
- 1:24:44Do I believe that she's lying about it?
- 1:24:48No. Who knows what the truth is?
- 1:24:51I think that she was fired because of the media attention
- 1:24:56time that was predisposed to abuse, and the kids she was
- 1:25:02working with were part of a vulnerable population to begin
- 1:25:08need is some unstable figure that's having a lot of media
- 1:25:11attention around them. And it would be selfish,
- 1:25:13honestly, to not leave your job in that situation because you're
- 1:25:20you're drawing attention to yourself and in turn to your job
- 1:25:24in this situation with the kids you're working with, right?
- 1:25:30back and think, you know, due to
- 1:25:35probably was best that I took a step back from my job.
- 1:25:39Yeah. You're on ATV show now, right?
- 1:25:41Maybe your TV show should be your.
- 1:25:43Job. I mean, I don't know, maybe you
- 1:25:44should figure that out. Yeah.
- 1:25:45The other thing about this lying
- 1:25:50Browns at this point are currently suing the state of
- 1:25:53Utah for discrimination. I just feel like they are trying
- 1:25:58to make it all seem like they were run out of town.
- 1:26:02Everything's so terrible. No polygamist family is going to
- 1:26:04come forward because of all the things that are going to happen
- 1:26:06to them. In all reality, they are suing
- 1:26:08the state of Utah for discrimination and that's why
- 1:26:11they left the fucking state. So fuck them.
- 1:26:13They're making it sound like they ran out in the middle of
- 1:26:15the night because the police were coming after them.
- 1:26:18Village people with their torches on fire and getting them
- 1:26:21out of town. You know, like none of that was
- 1:26:22happening. Didn't that all get dropped
- 1:26:25anyway because. There was nothing.
- 1:26:28They couldn't prove anything. And yeah, I mean, but what I
- 1:26:31think what eventually happened
- 1:26:34lawsuit. But then when it was appealed,
- 1:26:36they lost because it was determined that the Browns were
- 1:26:39actually never persecuted, never
- 1:26:43ever brought, They were never treated any different than
- 1:26:46anybody else in the eyes of the law.
- 1:26:48So fuck the Browns for being liars.
- 1:26:49Anyway, so I get a little, I get a little pissed because this is
- 1:26:53what they do, right? They default to that.
- 1:26:55We're persecuted. We're like other groups.
- 1:26:57We're like fucking homosexuals. We're like other minorities.
- 1:27:00And they were not treated that way in the eyes of the law.
- 1:27:03I do think of it as well, like this state was damned.
- 1:27:06If they didn't, damned if they didn't because of all of the
- 1:27:10eyes on them after Warren Jeffs and with all the child abuse and
- 1:27:20supposed to investigate the family?
- 1:27:22And this is where I have a, a disconnect because I think, you
- 1:27:28know, there's overstepping of the state, but then there's
- 1:27:32also, well, history has shown us.
- 1:27:34And if we don't step in and if there is something going on with
- 1:27:49CPS is a whole other frickin can of worms I'm not even going
- 1:27:54to get into. But this just makes me think
- 1:27:56like, you're damned if you do, you're damned if you don't.
- 1:28:00I just think about the legal perspective.
- 1:28:02People are investigated. All the time.
- 1:28:04And if charges don't come from it, charges don't come from it.
- 1:28:07And you want to be upset that
- 1:28:09you were investigated? Well, I don't know.
- 1:28:11You're on national TV as polygamists breaking the law in
- 1:28:16the state of Utah. So if they want to investigate
- 1:28:18you, they're going to investigate you.
- 1:28:19It's a tough conversation. Yeah.
- 1:28:21There's a lot of aspects to it.
- 1:28:23Yeah. Tamron asks.
- 1:28:24Does it upset you that more? Families don't come.
- 1:28:27Forward and Christine says that she feels sad for them.
- 1:28:30Kody, of course, takes his usual posterity, saying it's not fair
- 1:28:34to put that pressure on them. But yeah, I feel a little
- 1:28:38alienated. I feel like nobody had my back.
- 1:28:43When we get back from a
- 1:28:46commercial, we are introduced to
- 1:28:52family. We've got Hunter, we've got
- 1:28:55Aspen, we've got Leon, we've got
- 1:28:59got Mckelty. Have we got him?
- 1:29:02What? No, it's.
- 1:29:04Tricking on you. Continue.
- 1:29:06Did I miss Leon? No.
- 1:29:08No, you. You're just like we've.
- 1:29:10Got we've got we've. Got we've got.
- 1:29:11Oh, I was. I was harkening back to my
- 1:29:14olden. Yesteryear, my olden yesteryear.
- 1:29:17Take out the old footage. Oh.
- 1:29:19Yeah, Tamron has to bring up to.
- 1:29:22Leon, why was it so tough for you to not get into the homes at
- 1:29:32children. And Leon says it was.
- 1:29:34I think it was because everyone else.
- 1:29:35Was getting theirs and I was just waiting and not knowing.
- 1:29:39I think not knowing was the most difficult part and my Spidey
- 1:29:45senses was going. I think that you had to put that
- 1:29:54else was getting what they wanted and you weren't was the
- 1:29:58Like, you know, we all love you, Leon, everyone loves Leon.
- 1:30:02Maddie is looking down. And Maddie's face says it all.
- 1:30:11is playing the woe is me card yet again.
- 1:30:15You can tell Maddie is realizing how embarrassing this is, that
- 1:30:24Come the fuck on. What did you not know?
- 1:30:27Did you not know you were going to get the home?
- 1:30:29No, you just didn't get in at the exact same time as everyone
- 1:30:32else and threw a little hissy tissy fit.
- 1:30:34I'm imagining going back in time and with my.
- 1:30:37Brothers having a scene filmed and rewatching it and having my
- 1:30:41brother being upset about something that was so dumb and
- 1:30:46and being like yeah, like are you fucking?
- 1:30:48It's embarrassing. Yep, it's embarrassing looking
- 1:30:53upset over. OK, The only thing I will say is
- 1:30:59Because he does say it must have been challenging to see everyone
- 1:31:05didn't. And so, you know, Logan,
- 1:31:08upstanding guy. I'm going to give the little
- 1:31:11hand heart thing for Logan. Got a little special place in my
- 1:31:17Obviously Janelle did a great
- 1:31:20job with that one. Not sure if it's that he is the
- 1:31:24first child and got more undivided attention or if it's
- 1:31:29the fact that him and these other siblings grew up in a more
- 1:31:33cohesive family setting. But there's something to be said
- 1:31:36about the way that he's answering these questions and
- 1:31:41sticking up for Leon. And he's answering these
- 1:31:46questions better than a lot of
- 1:31:49So. And then Tamarind turns her
- 1:31:52attention to Hunter and says, Hunter, this move was really
- 1:31:56hard for you. But it seems now that you're
- 1:31:59you're Mr. Vegas. You're Mr. Vegas now.
- 1:32:03Yeah. With that sporty haircut, Yes.
- 1:32:06His sporty haircut and Logan. Has a little Elvis Dippity Doo
- 1:32:10on top of his head as well of the time I think I sported
- 1:32:14something similar. Both of them, Mr. Vegas.
- 1:32:18Yeah, Hunter gives some, you know, just blanket statement
- 1:32:21about. How he likes it there now, now
- 1:32:23that they have the houses. It's helped a lot, and he has a
- 1:32:25place that feels like home. And Aspen chimes in.
- 1:32:29It's nice to be all together before they go on to their next
- 1:32:32chapters of life. And you know, that makes sense,
- 1:32:35yeah. Tamron then asks how college has
- 1:32:38helped. Logan spread his.
- 1:32:39Wings. Was that Robyn?
- 1:32:43Bird beat. Comes around the corner.
- 1:32:46Somebody mentioned a bird. Did someone say something about
- 1:32:50spreading your wings? Oh my God, Logan says.
- 1:32:56Once you get out on your own and
- 1:32:59Decisions. I distance myself from the
- 1:33:01family a little bit because I wanted to do something without
- 1:33:04my parents guidance for a little
- 1:33:07people and mature a little bit.
- 1:33:10Far more mature than unreasonable than anything the
- 1:33:16you definitely did something right there for sure.
- 1:33:19Snaps. Snaps all around for that kid.
- 1:33:26People that he went to college with around this time and maybe
- 1:33:30the 1st girl he ever dated or I don't know.
- 1:33:34I just think he's probably a very respectable, like
- 1:33:37respectful young man towards women while also not being
- 1:33:43uppity because, you know, we've the bull shirt of it all the
- 1:33:49swearing that he did and the trying to act out against the
- 1:33:53parents. We know that he's got a good
- 1:33:55sense of humor. We know he's not uppity and we
- 1:34:01So I'm just curious what his college experience was actually
- 1:34:06like. And I applaud him yet again for
- 1:34:10putting distance between himself and the show.
- 1:34:13But I would be curious to have a memoir from him as well, along
- 1:34:21'S story would be so. Good.
- 1:34:23So good, then Tamron has to ask what everyone has been dying.
- 1:34:28To know, especially after all that chastity talk earlier.
- 1:34:32Has anyone taken their chastity belt off yet?
- 1:34:36Is anyone dating the chastity belt?
- 1:34:40Oh, she didn't. Say that, did she?
- 1:34:43I'm so sorry. I.
- 1:34:44Just love it. I just got a visual of.
- 1:34:48Logan wearing a chastity belt, man in the iron mask style.
- 1:34:52Unlock that chastity. Belt let that man free.
- 1:34:56I know Leon says that eventually they will date Buzzkill Leon the
- 1:35:06I've been, well, you know, I've been on a date.
- 1:35:09I haven't dated. I've been on dates and Tamron
- 1:35:13asks about. Kody and the boys, but.
- 1:35:16Also the girls you know if you're going to bring someone
- 1:35:19around, some floozy or some tramp.
- 1:35:23Gigolo some gigolo, some young person.
- 1:35:26That Kody's not. All that familiar with what does
- 1:35:31Does he scare everybody?
- 1:35:33And they say if someone has good
- 1:35:36that he's not shy to share his
- 1:35:40that they do have good character.
- 1:35:42Which I love because I'm just imagining Kody meeting someone
- 1:35:44for 5 minutes and coming to some
- 1:35:47And typical dad role but even worse because he's fucking Kody.
- 1:35:50Oh God, there's nothing more awkward than being a girl and.
- 1:35:53Introducing a boy to your dad,
- 1:35:59Well, so cringy, Tamron says to Mckelty.
- 1:36:02I don't think it helps things when you say you.
- 1:36:03Want a completely pierced and tattooed body which I love.
- 1:36:10Completely pierced and. Tattooed body.
- 1:36:13Like what a phrase, God, Mckelsey says.
- 1:36:16I think my mom loses sleep over me because I'm so curious.
- 1:36:20I want to be like the wild child, but I'm not at all.
- 1:36:24And Tamron asks why do you want to be the wild child?
- 1:36:28And Maddie interrupts by saying attention, attention.
- 1:36:32And then Mckelty and Maddie say.
- 1:36:34Attention. At the same time, which was
- 1:36:37funny because in between all of this, I said out loud,
- 1:36:40attention, like it's so obvious. Mckelty just is so desperate for
- 1:36:45because like we just talked about.
- 1:36:47Earlier, with the wives having to manipulate to get what they
- 1:36:56orchid and needs more attention than some of the other
- 1:37:01dandelions children. And she had to figure out a way
- 1:37:04to get it. You know she's got to scare her
- 1:37:07mom every now and then with the tattoo talk and the piercing
- 1:37:11talk because God forbid we getting tattoos even though
- 1:37:16she's well acknowledging. That she actually isn't that
- 1:37:18much of A wild child. She's doing it literally for
- 1:37:21attention. Yeah.
- 1:37:22And? Tamron asked.
- 1:37:23So next season, will we see you having piercings and tattoos?
- 1:37:27And. But Kelsey says no, I don't
- 1:37:29think I'll have either until I'm at least 20.
- 1:37:31And I was like scratching my head going 20.
- 1:37:34Why that age? Why is this the number
- 1:37:36Mckelthey? No.
- 1:37:38No matter how much I try to give her a pass, I just can't.
- 1:37:41And then there's a little bit of a turn, Tamron says.
- 1:37:44Your dad said this season, this season.
- 1:37:47Just pointing that out. Once again, Tamron making a
- 1:37:50reference to this season as if the season is done, that he
- 1:37:53didn't think about the impact going public would have on you
- 1:37:59saying that now? This is actually a good
- 1:38:01question. It is.
- 1:38:01We're actually getting a good question from Tamron in general.
- 1:38:06better place now that they're public.
- 1:38:08You know, they can claim each other as siblings publicly.
- 1:38:12Logan also talks about walking
- 1:38:15confidence that comes from being
- 1:38:18which I once again, like, fucking yes, Logan.
- 1:38:21There's something about becoming
- 1:38:24your family. It doesn't even have to be a
- 1:38:26polygamous family. Escaping your fucking family and
- 1:38:28becoming a person and being like, I can be comfortable with
- 1:38:31who I am and I don't need to be shamed about the things that my
- 1:38:33parents think I should have been
- 1:38:35And it is cool that now that they're public, Logan can
- 1:38:40acknowledge who his family is.
- 1:38:43college. Do you really have to talk about
- 1:38:46your family and your background all that much?
- 1:38:48I'm assuming not. But I'm assuming when it does
- 1:38:50come up, when you're forming relationships, friendships,
- 1:38:52romantic, whatever, that you can
- 1:38:57that they couldn't when they weren't public.
- 1:38:58Well, and even Leon concedes there's no way we'd be.
- 1:39:02Where we are at now. Oh yeah, so insightful.
- 1:39:08One thing about Leon that I noticed is that.
- 1:39:10Their appearance is also a little bit changed from, I
- 1:39:14shouldn't say changed. Leon is more put together.
- 1:39:17The hair is done, the makeup's
- 1:39:20I feel like Leon might have had a switch between filming of
- 1:39:23this season and to, well, the first half of this season to
- 1:39:28this tell all. And maybe it actually is just
- 1:39:30tell all. Maybe there was hair and makeup,
- 1:39:32but Leon looks a little more like I'm on film, I'm being
- 1:39:36filmed, I'm put together, my hair is away, my makeup's away,
- 1:39:40I'm sitting a certain way. I just picked up on this put
- 1:39:43together vibe from Leon. Not sure Leon wasn't wearing
- 1:39:46that cut off Jean vest with. Their farmer's hand showing and
- 1:39:51let me take top that Jean vest.
- 1:39:55Appalling Leon. Looks like their purity has
- 1:39:58reemerged. Reemerged.
- 1:40:00Ridiculous. Maddie.
- 1:40:03Talks about how she can publicly.
- 1:40:06Claim her siblings. People know at my school who my
- 1:40:10siblings are. I can walk around the halls and
- 1:40:14acknowledge my siblings. That's a pretty big deal.
- 1:40:17Yeah, it's a big deal. It is a big deal.
- 1:40:20Can you imagine not being able? To acknowledge.
- 1:40:23Your own brothers when you were in school, That would be weird.
- 1:40:27I mean, I think that they
- 1:40:28probably would have. Loved if we weren't acknowledged
- 1:40:31as siblings. Oh my sister for sure tried to
- 1:40:34pretend that we weren't siblings.
- 1:40:35I mean, it's funny with our own lenses to be like, yeah, I.
- 1:40:38Think that my brothers would have been perfectly fine with
- 1:40:40not being related to me, but yeah, it would have been very
- 1:40:44different. Well, we just took it for
- 1:40:46granted because of our privilege, Christopher.
- 1:40:48Because we are not from a plague
- 1:40:51We just took that so much for granted.
- 1:40:54Well, plus when you were destined to be a standout and.
- 1:40:57Different from the beginning, right?
- 1:40:59It's hard to identify with your siblings that wish they would
- 1:41:02have never been related to you
- 1:41:07Oh my God. And of course, this line of
- 1:41:10questioning now has to go into
- 1:41:12Plans at this point on being polygamist and Leon raises their
- 1:41:18hand. None of the other kids raise
- 1:41:20their hand. Aspen says they're on a journey
- 1:41:23of discovery and research about their own life.
- 1:41:26Mckelty wants to fall in love and have their partnership
- 1:41:29decide what's best for them. I feel like this is a rather
- 1:41:33mature response from Mckelty. Yeah, not confirming nor
- 1:41:38denying. I feel.
- 1:41:39Like, of course, it's leaning a little more, you know, No, but
- 1:41:43you know, who am I going to fall
- 1:41:45And we should build our life the
- 1:41:47life. Yep.
- 1:41:48And we'll decide it together. I honestly think that's more
- 1:41:50mature. Than I probably would have said
- 1:41:52at that age. So I hate to give it to her, but
- 1:41:55good one Mckelty Maddie wants to
- 1:41:59Monogamist only only. I love that Maddie just.
- 1:42:03Knows. And Logan is pretty certain
- 1:42:08Hunter hasn't thought about it
- 1:42:11At all at all. And that pretty much wraps up
- 1:42:15our. Time with the elder brown
- 1:42:17children. When we return from this last
- 1:42:20commercial break of the episode,
- 1:42:24on the couch and she poses. The question that often comes up
- 1:42:29is if Kody is interested in taking on 1/5 wife.
- 1:42:34Ladies, does it bother you that other women may hit on Kody
- 1:42:38when he's out or may think he's hitting on them?
- 1:42:42Oh, God forbid. Christine says people joke about
- 1:42:46being the fifth wife all of the time, but it's not funny, Kody
- 1:42:51says. It disrespects us and all the
- 1:42:54work we've done disrespectful and Chrissy.
- 1:42:58Literally double S down like it's.
- 1:43:00Offensive. I'm sorry.
- 1:43:02The girl lighten up like take a fucking chill pill.
- 1:43:05No one is literally getting on
- 1:43:08proposed to me like it's fucking
- 1:43:10It's a joke. Tamron makes the mortal mistake
- 1:43:13of saying like your. Swingers and Kody says we are
- 1:43:17not swingers. It is not an open marriage.
- 1:43:21We are not swingers. Christine talks about these
- 1:43:23playful questions. Cheapening their relationships.
- 1:43:27I think at this point I started yawning and like looking around
- 1:43:30the room going, are we really talking about this?
- 1:43:33Do we really think anyone is trying to cheapen their
- 1:43:36relationships some? You know, for Christine being so
- 1:43:39silly and giddy and the little
- 1:43:42she is, it's like you're taking this a little bit too seriously
- 1:43:45here, honey, don't nibble on Kody's ear.
- 1:43:47Calm down, little fairy Christine.
- 1:43:49Give a little nip, a little bite
- 1:43:53fuck out. Of course, we have to hear from
- 1:43:56Robyn. She has to let us all know that
- 1:43:59their relationships are eternal and very serious.
- 1:44:05Oh God, we made a commitment in our religion to be eternal.
- 1:44:10And when someone says can I be
- 1:44:14sweetie, you have no idea. This is a celestial commitment.
- 1:44:23God damn Robyn hitting us with
- 1:44:28This is definitely celestial. It is.
- 1:44:31Not of this world, no. Not at all.
- 1:44:34Not at all. And of course, she's flying
- 1:44:38high, crashing. Low.
- 1:44:42Of course Kody has to crack a joke about being high
- 1:44:44maintenance. And I had to say, duh, like,
- 1:44:49Kody is high maintenance. So anyone who would joke about
- 1:44:52being a fifth wife in their family has to know, just so you
- 1:44:55know, what you're getting yourself into here is a high
- 1:44:57maintenance man. You do not want to be a part of
- 1:45:00this celestial union, Kody says.
- 1:45:02I think we're a very functional family, right?
- 1:45:05Now I'm not looking. We don't go looking.
- 1:45:09And Tamron jokes, Well, there's more room on that couch over
- 1:45:13there. We've got Christine and Meri and
- 1:45:21Can I get another pillow? Just looking around to the
- 1:45:24production team and Kody kind of
- 1:45:29And says to answer the. Question.
- 1:45:30Seriously, there's there's no fifth life.
- 1:45:35But he doesn't say no. He also says that he wasn't
- 1:45:38looking when he met Robyn. Yeah, dot dot, dot.
- 1:45:43Yeah. So he's leaving an open-ended.
- 1:45:44He just kind of leaves it there.
- 1:45:46But we just move on. Quickly again from the.
- 1:45:49Fact that he's kind of giving us a non answer and we're going to
- 1:45:55talk about the most pivotal moment of this entire series
- 1:46:02thus far, the sculpture therapy where they had to sculpt with
- 1:46:09their bodies and stand in vicinity around Kody to where
- 1:46:12they felt they were in the family in their current
- 1:46:18situation. Christine, were you happy about
- 1:46:20the marriage counseling? She says Oh no.
- 1:46:22And Meri says she wants to live in her.
- 1:46:25And both Christine and Meri say at the same time, rose colored
- 1:46:33And everybody knows that. And Christine says, but I know
- 1:46:39And she glances down at her necklace that has the silver and
- 1:46:51I don't even know. I don't even know.
- 1:46:53Do you think Kody was manipulating her?
- 1:46:54Like wear this on your neck every.
- 1:46:56Day and when you're feeling dark, you just think about this.
- 1:47:02and it's here. You're supposed to have a sunny
- 1:47:04disposition, Christine keeps. Sweet.
- 1:47:06And when you reference your dark
- 1:47:08Down at your bosom and she's. Just like nibbling on her own
- 1:47:11hand with her little fairy. Bites and when Chris and when
- 1:47:18Christine does this glance down at.
- 1:47:21Her necklace that's supposed to remind her that she's half
- 1:47:24evil. Robyn is cackling.
- 1:47:28Like. A lunatic on the other couch
- 1:47:30because of this back and forth. She thinks it's so funny, the
- 1:47:33Rose colored world and the dark side.
- 1:47:35And she's like almost as funny as caramels.
- 1:47:40Taking them from a store and passing them off as my owner.
- 1:47:47Yeah, Robyn, I have new suggestion for your most
- 1:47:50embarrassing. Moments.
- 1:47:51It's when you cackled like a lunatic when Christine was
- 1:47:53referencing that she has to embrace her dark side.
- 1:47:57My God, get that beak out of here, bitch.
- 1:48:00Hot off the heels of Robyn missing the.
- 1:48:03Opportunity to be brought to an insane asylum.
- 1:48:06Dipshit. Tamron Tees up the clip of them
- 1:48:11doing this body sculpture exercise at their marriage
- 1:48:14retreat. And so we have to see that blah
- 1:48:16blah blah. Christine acknowledges that it
- 1:48:22which we saw visually and we experienced.
- 1:48:24And then Meri says it was hard for me to.
- 1:48:28I felt I needed to be careful. I wanted to be vulnerable, but I
- 1:48:36says. So are we not seeing the real
- 1:48:39Meri? And there was a long pause while
- 1:48:43Meri pondered. And she says, I think you are,
- 1:48:48but there's more that you're not
- 1:48:54What I love is anyone could say that about any scenario where
- 1:48:57you're not saying anything. OK, whatever.
- 1:48:59Thanks for giving us the details, Mayor.
- 1:49:01But not only no details, but we're not seeing the real Meri.
- 1:49:05Things are happening in her life
- 1:49:08It's weird because she's putting
- 1:49:12Where she's looking straight at the camera saying I'm the
- 1:49:14happiest I've ever been. There is no bomb under my butt
- 1:49:19right now about to explode. If I don't say this, I'm happy,
- 1:49:22happy, happy. She's also saying, oh, maybe
- 1:49:26you're not seeing all of me. Maybe you're not seeing the text
- 1:49:30messages I'm sending? To someone named Sam, but you
- 1:49:34know whatever. They show us the clip of Kody
- 1:49:38and the. Wives getting to the hard
- 1:49:40hitting question of if he died, would they stay together today?
- 1:49:47And Tamron says, do you think that you would stay together if
- 1:49:52Kody died? And they kind of say yes, Yeah.
- 1:50:00Meri says she thinks they would.
- 1:50:03Janelle says, I don't foresee anything different, which is
- 1:50:06such a Janelle resource. I don't foresee anything
- 1:50:09different. OK, Janelle and Christine says,
- 1:50:11but that's Plan B. Like if Kody dies, it's Plan B.
- 1:50:16Yeah, yeah, obviously it's Plan
- 1:50:18B. It's weird.
- 1:50:19Because they. In.
- 1:50:22The therapy moment of this, we're all aghast and like you
- 1:50:30could tell on their faces that
- 1:50:34And then I think after that probably happened, they had a
- 1:50:38family discussion behind the scenes and we're like, we need
- 1:50:41to be on the same page about this.
- 1:50:42We can't let that happen or our cracks show in that way again.
- 1:50:46And it's coming out now where they're trying to present a
- 1:50:50unified front. No, we would all stay together
- 1:50:52if Kody died even though the vibes are still the same of.
- 1:50:57Yeah, none of these women are in
- 1:51:00enthusiastic about your husband dying, but the result of a
- 1:51:04death like that, none of them are actually like, well, I
- 1:51:07think if you've referenced The Golden Girls, you know, I
- 1:51:10would see a reaction if you were actually in that position of
- 1:51:13feeling like I would love to spend the rest of my life with
- 1:51:15you regardless of if my spouse died.
- 1:51:17And you'd be like, well, I envision US buying a house in
- 1:51:19Miami and being like The Golden Girls.
- 1:51:21Like there's nothing like that. There's no humanity here.
- 1:51:24It's just, yeah, yes. I don't see anything different
- 1:51:29better camaraderie with my girlfriends and with.
- 1:51:31You than they do if my husband, God forbid, were to die and I'm
- 1:51:36in my 50s and my kids are off at school and I would looking at
- 1:51:46something together? Where are we at right now?
- 1:51:48I would be like, how long do I wait after the funeral before I
- 1:51:51say? So am I moving in with you
- 1:51:53right. Buying a house, like what are we
- 1:52:01I see. I see where I am.
- 1:52:03See this is where I. AM.
- 1:52:04In Kimber's life, everyone. On the help but yeah and you
- 1:52:08could use my Robyn Ness you. Could use my validation, but
- 1:52:12honey, I don't want you to feel like you need to validate me.
- 1:52:16I just. Want you to do it.
- 1:52:17I wouldn't though. I just wouldn't.
- 1:52:19It wouldn't be. It wouldn't put me out at.
- 1:52:21All that's so true. There's none of that real
- 1:52:24organic friendship. Vibes here at all, which is just
- 1:52:28And as we come to a close of this episode.
- 1:52:31Of course. The question, I shouldn't say,
- 1:52:37commitment ceremony that we've all heard a little about, but we
- 1:52:43bringing this up as if it's a future thing that I guess we're
- 1:52:45supposed to know. It's a future thing.
- 1:52:46I don't know. Whatever.
- 1:52:47And she asks, are you all in? What will it be like?
- 1:52:53And Kody says it's a party. It's.
- 1:52:56Basically an. Inauguration, inauguration of
- 1:52:59our family mission statement. And you know, I got to give
- 1:53:04Janelle some props here because she follows after Kody by saying
- 1:53:10Come on. She's like, I want it to be
- 1:53:13memorable. I want it to be cool.
- 1:53:16I want to wear the dresses, a fun formal gown and I love it
- 1:53:20because here's this reference of the dresses that I don't.
- 1:53:24This is where it's even more confusing about how this season
- 1:53:28happened because they make dresses for the ceremony.
- 1:53:31They have custom made dresses made for them, which is filmed
- 1:53:44already been filmed? Now, just so you know, this
- 1:53:47triggered me into going what the fuck?
- 1:53:49And I went up to the last episode of this season, which is
- 1:53:57clothes they're. On a different set OK.
- 1:54:00So I don't know what has been filmed before this mid season
- 1:54:05tell all, but it seems like Tamron is referencing things
- 1:54:09that are going to happen in the future.
- 1:54:11Janelle's giving us some, I don't know, spoilers about a
- 1:54:16dress and a thing. They might have only planned it,
- 1:54:22muffled to the already muddy situation.
- 1:54:23It could have been a pickup or a lead to the next season.
- 1:54:27They kind. Of had her, they could have
- 1:54:29ended it one way, yeah. And then this could have been
- 1:54:32the second scenario that if we continue the season, if we get
- 1:54:38Like they have ways of filming things to lead to different
- 1:54:45scenarios. So I think that's what's
- 1:54:47happening here. And, and they definitely could
- 1:54:51To do these things and haven't done them, I just think there's
- 1:54:55plenty of clarity not given in this whole fucking season about
- 1:54:59what's really happening. But what you know, whatever,
- 1:55:02Robyn, it's going to be more formal and fancy them a little
- 1:55:10More fancy than that. I doubt it.
- 1:55:14I doubt it. I doubt it, darling.
- 1:55:15Oh my gosh. I'm just imagining what tote
- 1:55:18that's not in a tote. Robyn probably has that in a
- 1:55:20mausoleum or something. He probably has its own shrine
- 1:55:31beautiful. It's going to be fun.
- 1:55:34These adjectives beautiful and. Fun you.
- 1:55:38Know she thanks them all for being open and.
- 1:55:41Candid and. Then that's the end of the
- 1:55:43episode. Now I already said that I went
- 1:55:50second tell all was much different.
- 1:55:51And it did appear to be much different as far as aesthetics,
- 1:55:54what they're wearing, where they were.
- 1:55:55That doesn't really mean anything.
- 1:55:56They could just go to the next trailer over the next studio
- 1:55:59over and change clothes. So I just don't know really when
- 1:56:07Yeah, let's just pretend it happened when it happened in the
- 1:56:15about the commitment ceremony at this point.
- 1:56:17Weren't wasn't it just kind of casually referenced that it was
- 1:56:20going to happen? It was mentioned that they were
- 1:56:24planning. On it.
- 1:56:25And it was part of the reason that they did the therapy to
- 1:56:29finish the mission statement, to work towards this recommitment
- 1:56:40That's right. That's pretty much it, yeah.
- 1:56:42That's yeah. There wasn't really any other
- 1:56:44planning or something so. I guess it is.
- 1:56:46Teeing it up for us for Part 2 of the season.
- 1:56:48I do love that Kody references it as a party and it of course
- 1:56:54Well, it's always weird with these tell alls and these Q&A
- 1:56:58episodes for Mustard Seed and Shit Stain, but we've got to do
- 1:57:01it. It is the law.
- 1:57:03God has commanded it from above and we do not question God on
- 1:57:07this podcast. So Kimber, mustard seed or shit
- 1:57:09stain, where would you like to start today?
- 1:57:12I'm going to start with my mustard seed because I know I'm
- 1:57:15going to steal yours. Oh, God.
- 1:57:17And it's going to be Logan. God damn it.
- 1:57:20Yeah, I knew it. Yeah.
- 1:57:22Little devil horns here. This is how when they say.
- 1:57:25Women first. Ladies first.
- 1:57:27Ladies first, I should even diminish more Girls 1st it's
- 1:57:31just fetuses. First, it's.
- 1:57:33It. Sucks having a penis.
- 1:57:35And a really. Fucking big one because you just
- 1:57:42Yeah. OK.
- 1:57:42All right, Logan, sitting over your tits up, ready to talk
- 1:57:46about Logan. Brown.
- 1:57:47I've got my tits up talking about Logan Brown too.
- 1:57:51You know, obviously he just. Is the best thing that ever came
- 1:58:02when Leon didn't really deserve it, trying to smooth things
- 1:58:07over. He had the best well-rounded
- 1:58:10responses. He replied to things better than
- 1:58:17don't think anything else needs to be said that it is just
- 1:58:22obviously going to go to the king of Vegas when Logan Brown,
- 1:58:27I would have included that. He's a handsome young man.
- 1:58:31But that's just me. Yes, yes.
- 1:58:33So Speaking of being a man and. Having to take the hard.
- 1:58:37Road while the woman sits by idly.
- 1:58:39I'm going to have to give my mustard seed to Mckelty to
- 1:58:45Mckelty, Brown, Shucketh and the.
- 1:58:48Reason I'm giving my mustard. Seed to Mckelty Brown on this
- 1:58:50episode is because I was so surprised.
- 1:58:52I was pleased by my surprise when she referenced not actually
- 1:59:04appearance of a wild child. I'm into it.
- 1:59:09I kind of identify with it. I kind of feel like in my lot in
- 1:59:20an outsider and to be someone that isn't the norm.
- 1:59:24And so I've adopted things that are a bit alternative or wild
- 1:59:29child vibes. I think I was misunderstood a
- 1:59:31lot, and I think that was interpreted as being rebellious
- 1:59:34or being other than when in all reality, I was just doing what
- 1:59:42And I also do, oh God, at times in my life feel like I would
- 1:59:47like to be a little bit more Wilder out there than I actually
- 1:59:53Being unique is just your cross to bear, Christopher.
- 1:59:56And, you know, the sooner you come to terms with it, the
- 2:00:00better. You're just so unique and
- 2:00:03special. And you just need to embrace it
- 2:00:06and just let it be who you are. And don't let it weigh on your
- 2:00:15I'm not going to turn Mckelty's mustard seed.
- 2:00:17Oh, I should have had Mckelty's mustard seed be all about me.
- 2:00:21Mckelty, you get a mustard seed and that's all I'm going to say.
- 2:00:25Love it. Yeah.
- 2:00:26I love that for you. Thank you.
- 2:00:28Love that for you. I've earned that.
- 2:00:31Mustard seed from. Celtic, you did.
- 2:00:33Darling, you did OK. Who's getting your smear, honey?
- 2:00:37Who's getting your shit stain?
- 2:00:42Going to go to Robyn Brown. Good choice because she.
- 2:00:47Kept interrupting. Filming with her beak and her.
- 2:00:54Can you imagine how hard it is
- 2:00:58all the time in the background
- 2:01:02flapping of the wings coming up behind you and you're just
- 2:01:05like, fuck. There she is again, Robyn.
- 2:01:07Quiet on the set. Quiet on set, Robyn.
- 2:01:10She's flapping in. She's.
- 2:01:12Coming on down that phoenix rising from the ashes, beautiful
- 2:01:18Robyn. Fire sounds.
- 2:01:19Her coming up from hell, her wings flapping from hell, not
- 2:01:24from hell. God, Robyn, you're so fucking
- 2:01:27noisy all the time and it's just
- 2:01:30editors. But really, truly, she rags on
- 2:01:34her axe again and she is bringing out that Habsburg
- 2:01:41square jaw every chance that she
- 2:01:45in those person on person views that we see, or whatever the
- 2:01:50fuck you call them, picture in
- 2:01:55Views. Sorry.
- 2:01:57Person in person, God, it's like.
- 2:02:00Can she just not let? Anyone else have a moment?
- 2:02:04I just, I don't know. There's so many things that she
- 2:02:08has done during this tell all,
- 2:02:13with the beak and the wings and the flapping and the cawing.
- 2:02:16And I just, I'm like, can you just shut the fuck up, honey?
- 2:02:19Just shut the fuck up. Let someone else have the stage
- 2:02:22for a moment. Yeah, anytime anyone else has
- 2:02:25the spotlight has a. Moment is talking, she's got to
- 2:02:29interject with her two cents which aren't even worth 2 cents.
- 2:02:34She tries to just wrap things up
- 2:02:38Make everything sound better or stand up for Kody and just
- 2:02:44yeah, I feel like there's something to workshop.
- 2:02:47With Robyn meeting mansplaining,
- 2:02:53I guess it's not, I don't know, but it kind of is because she's
- 2:02:56doing it for Kody. She's doing it.
- 2:02:58Like in defense of Kody all the time.
- 2:03:00So it's a it's mansplaining, but
- 2:03:05knows he can't do it himself, right?
- 2:03:07So she's got to do it for him and make him good, capable of
- 2:03:13mansplain God. These guys are.
- 2:03:16Insufferable. He does sometimes, but when he
- 2:03:22at it she's like it's my turn like Oh my God I'm going to put
- 2:03:26my big boy panties on now and I'm going to do.
- 2:03:28It for him. God Robyn wearing the big boy
- 2:03:32panties. Robyn's BBP.
- 2:03:35My God. Well, OK, so my shit stain this
- 2:03:40episode is going to Meri Brown. I feel like over the course of
- 2:03:50relationship with Meri Brown. Of course, sometimes I get her
- 2:03:59highlighted multiple times. Her disconnect from everybody
- 2:04:02else. Yeah.
- 2:04:03Her siloed Ness. Her.
- 2:04:06I'm going. To pretend to be a victim or I'm
- 2:04:14pretending to love, pretending to be engaged.
- 2:04:17The fact that she has 17 children in her family, so if
- 2:04:21the one that is her biological child is leaving, there's still
- 2:04:2516 others. And OK, so let's just round it
- 2:04:33faux Robyn wings and really embrace and help raise as a
- 2:04:37supposed mother to them. That's all out the door.
- 2:04:40She's too busy texting a stranger from the Internet.
- 2:04:43Fuck Meri Brown, even though sometimes I love you Mayor, fuck
- 2:04:49Now I know we started this episode off by saying.
- 2:04:51That it was probably. Going to be easy, breezy,
- 2:04:53beautiful cover girls, could be quick and fast and all of that
- 2:05:01It can never be easy. Especially with me and my.
- 2:05:05Big beak and my fucking. Loudmouth.
- 2:05:07Jesus Christ, I'm so sorry. I kept trying to wrap it up and
- 2:05:11I'm like, OK, Kimber just got to pull a Robyn here.
- 2:05:13Just got to keep going. Round Robyn.
- 2:05:15Round Robyn. But for those of you that have
- 2:05:22our Keep Sweet moment this week, which is on Apple Podcast
- 2:05:27from Ainsley. Thank you Ainsley, their review

- 2:06:40breath, put on our affliction shirts with the wings on the
- 2:06:44backs and go fit down and fly out into the sunset.
- 2:06:51Doesn't that just what's an Affliction shirt?
