- 1:10Speaker 3: because you mean super super cold, coffin hacking, sneezing.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Yeah, that was like a long haul of two weeks.
- 1:17Speaker 1: I'm still in one hundred percent, so it's been over
- 1:19Speaker 1: two weeks. I mean it could be worse, but yeah,
- 1:22Speaker 1: I was really sick. You're a lot better though, I am. Yeah,
- 1:25Speaker 1: there was. If we had recorded this really too much earlier,
- 1:29Speaker 1: I wouldn't have really had a voice.
- 1:31Speaker 3: So yeah, so if you missed last week, that that's
- 1:34Speaker 3: why we didn't put one out last week because we
- 1:37Speaker 3: only had one host.
- 1:38Speaker 1: And that wasn't a story. So yeah, but this week's
- 1:42Speaker 1: epic because we're putting one out today Tuesday, and then
- 1:45Speaker 1: we're gonna be putting one out on Wednesday as.
- 1:47Speaker 3: Well, back to back. So we're making up for last
- 1:49Speaker 3: week missing it by dropping last week's episode today and.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Then this week's episode on Wednesday. Yeah, so you're really
- 1:59Speaker 1: not missing on an.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Anything, You're not. You're just kind of saving it up.
- 2:02Speaker 3: You're like getting a Christmas Eve, Christmas gift, and then
- 2:04Speaker 3: Christmas Day all your gifts sort of situation.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Is this funny or not? Last week was grim? This
- 2:09Speaker 1: week is wicked? Is that lame? That's lame?
- 2:13Speaker 3: Actually that's not bad, not bad. I see it. I
- 2:16Speaker 3: see what you did there.
- 2:17Speaker 1: So there we go. It's a wicked week.
- 2:20Speaker 3: There we go. It's a wicked week, for sure. We
- 2:22Speaker 3: got some wicked stuff we got to talk about.
- 2:24Speaker 1: We do, we have, We got lots of shit to
- 2:25Speaker 1: catch up on here.
- 2:26Speaker 3: First and foremost, it's fucking snowing outside right now, so
- 2:30Speaker 3: that's not cool.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Yeah, what's the date. It's April eighteenth. Then it's snowing, yep,
- 2:36Speaker 1: And it's all my fault.
- 2:37Speaker 3: It is your fault because your snow tires. So way
- 2:39Speaker 3: to go.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm getting my own winter tires off tomorrow. And
- 2:42Speaker 1: so it's snowing clearly. Yep, that's how it rolls.
- 2:45Speaker 3: Yeah, and the weather forecast says we're gonna get like
- 2:48Speaker 3: up to ten centimeters of snow like accumulation.
- 2:50Speaker 1: It's snowing all night and like morning afternoon tomorrow.
- 2:54Speaker 3: That's not Yeah, so I'm going to I'm going to
- 2:58Speaker 3: put at least a story on Instagram to show the
- 3:00Speaker 3: snow we wake up to in the morning.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Ca But my fingers are cross it. There's no story
- 3:04Speaker 1: to be put up. Maybe it's just like oax.

- 3:22Speaker 1: always loved growing pumpkins, Oh, pumpkins, dope, and this year
- 3:25Speaker 1: you're taking it to the next level.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Well, i've grown pumpkins before. I've done upwards of I
- 3:29Speaker 3: think like six pumpkin plants at a time. Yeah, and
- 3:33Speaker 3: the most I think i've yielded in a year year's
- 3:36Speaker 3: worth harvest from those six plants. But I think three
- 3:38Speaker 3: or four pumpkins never very big. I think the biggest
- 3:40Speaker 3: one I've ever grown was like maybe just under basketball size.
- 3:44Speaker 1: At our first house.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, yeah, so yeah, now we've we germinated some
- 3:52Speaker 3: seeds and we've got total of thirty pumpkin plants.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Sprouts and they're doing amazing.
- 3:59Speaker 3: Yeah, they're already like two to three inches high. I've
- 4:03Speaker 3: already got two leaves. They're gonna go ground on May
- 4:05Speaker 3: Long weekend and they're gonna thrive, and we're going to
- 4:08Speaker 3: get how many pumpkins you say?
- 4:10Speaker 1: I said twelve?

- 7:03Speaker 1: Oh? Oh, I know what? Okay? Because we're just going
- 7:07Speaker 1: to talk about merch. We have some like exclusive merch
- 7:10Speaker 1: coming up, which is like really freaking cool. We have
- 7:15Speaker 1: thirty We're gonna have thirty of these items.
- 7:18Speaker 3: And it's it's unlike anything we've put out before. Not
- 7:21Speaker 3: T shirt, not sticker, not water bottle, We've never put
- 7:23Speaker 3: out these.
- 7:24Speaker 1: It's not through Red Bubble.
- 7:26Speaker 3: It's going to be strictly through us. I'm not too
- 7:28Speaker 3: sure how we're gonna do. It might be on our
- 7:29Speaker 3: website or something, but we will have to find a
- 7:31Speaker 3: specific way to sell it directly from us. But yeah,
- 7:35Speaker 3: that's all we can really say. Thirty limited exclusive pieces
- 7:41Speaker 3: of merch.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Oh my gosh.
- 7:44Speaker 3: And they are going to be handmade pieces, not by us,
- 7:46Speaker 3: by a professional, but still someone we have sourced, so
- 7:50Speaker 3: we're pumped.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm super pumped actually to see these.
- 7:54Speaker 3: Yeah, it's an artisan kind of craft, so it's going
- 7:57Speaker 3: to take a while for them to get them made.
- 7:58Speaker 3: But once they're made, we'll let you guys know and
- 8:01Speaker 3: we'll give you guys the option to try and purchase one.
- 8:05Speaker 3: So I'm sure they're gonna go like real quick. So
- 8:07Speaker 3: you might have to be on the.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Ball, I know. I Yeah, we're gonna have to figure
- 8:10Speaker 1: out how we're gonna do this, but yeah, it's gonna
- 8:11Speaker 1: be awesome. It's gonna be so awesome.
- 8:13Speaker 3: We'll figure it out details later. All we need to
- 8:15Speaker 3: know for now is some epic shit is coming down
- 8:17Speaker 3: the pipe.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Yeah, as always, really as always.
- 8:22Speaker 3: So with all that being said, I think you wrapped
- 8:24Speaker 3: up everything we.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Need to I feel like that was everything we had
- 8:27Speaker 1: to say.
- 8:27Speaker 3: Maybe we should give your voice a little bit of
- 8:29Speaker 3: a rest. Hey, you sounded a bit raspy.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Take that sip already I thought I was doing good.
- 8:33Speaker 3: Well, not any more raspy. You just I can still
- 8:37Speaker 3: hear your voices raspy.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Yeah, there's still times in the day where it's like
- 8:40Speaker 1: worse and stuff. The evening's usually better though.
- 8:42Speaker 3: Yeah, well you've been putting up with it for a while.
- 8:44Speaker 1: So I know this. This is just my life now.
- 8:46Speaker 1: I don't even notice. This is just who I am.
- 8:50Speaker 3: Yeah, You've just you've just grown to accept it. Yeah
- 8:54Speaker 3: all right, Well I'll give you that rest that you
- 8:56Speaker 3: need for your voice, and I'm taking on today's episode
- 8:59Speaker 3: with the Badass of the Century, if I may say that.
- 9:05Speaker 3: So we are talking about a certain case here. We
- 9:08Speaker 3: are covering a survivor case. I mentioned that in a
- 9:10Speaker 3: previous episode that my next one would be a survivor case.
- 9:15Speaker 3: So this is the survivor case, the Badass of the
- 9:20Speaker 3: Century obviously the Badass of the day on this episode
- 9:23Speaker 3: of Alison Botha. Do you know that name?
- 9:29Speaker 1: I feel like I'm going to be getting in trouble
- 9:31Speaker 1: when I say I don't. But the thing is I
- 9:33Speaker 1: probably do. I'm just terrible at names, and like, once
- 9:35Speaker 1: you start getting into it, I'll remember most likely.
- 9:37Speaker 3: I know we've discussed details on her name before, so
- 9:41Speaker 3: you definitely know who she is, but you probably just
- 9:44Speaker 3: can't remember the name or place it exactly. You soon will,
- 9:47Speaker 3: let's say that, So this is her story. I am
- 9:51Speaker 3: going to not be telling the story as much as
- 9:54Speaker 3: I can of her accusers, Okay. So it's it's strictly
- 9:59Speaker 3: as much as I can for her. All Right, you
- 10:02Speaker 3: ready for this?
- 10:03Speaker 1: I'm ready, okay.
- 10:05Speaker 3: So Allison was born on September twenty second in nineteen
- 10:09Speaker 3: sixty six in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Now, unfortunately, Allison's
- 10:15Speaker 3: parents went through a divorce when she was only ten
- 10:17Speaker 3: years old, something that is quite unfortunate, that is all
- 10:20Speaker 3: too common in today's society, but it kind of is
- 10:23Speaker 3: the world that we're in. So Allison would spend her
- 10:26Speaker 3: life or sorry, most of her childhood living with her
- 10:29Speaker 3: mother and brother, so she had developed a very close
- 10:31Speaker 3: relationship with her MoMA, specifically in her early years, Alison
- 10:36Speaker 3: led pretty much a fairly normal life. She served as
- 10:40Speaker 3: head girl at her high school for girls in Port Elizabeth.
- 10:43Speaker 3: When she finished her education, she spent a few years
- 10:46Speaker 3: traveling abroad. She was never quite sure what she wanted
- 10:49Speaker 3: to do with her life as for a living or anything,
- 10:53Speaker 3: and eventually when she did come home from abroad, her
- 10:55Speaker 3: mom was like quite happy to have her back. So
- 10:58Speaker 3: after she returned home, Alison did find a job as
- 11:01Speaker 3: an insurance broker, which she enjoyed quite a bit right on,
- 11:05Speaker 3: So she was just kind of living her life finding
- 11:07Speaker 3: out who she was, not too sure who she was,
- 11:10Speaker 3: exploring herself in life.
- 11:12Speaker 1: You know, that sounds common. I think a lot of
- 11:14Speaker 1: people go through that.
- 11:15Speaker 3: One hundred percent, and I mean honestly and that young.
- 11:19Speaker 3: I miss those those days, you know, just kind of exploring,
- 11:21Speaker 3: trying to figure out who you are. Now I'm just
- 11:23Speaker 3: trying to figure out which way I can bend over
- 11:25Speaker 3: so my back doesn't hurt, you know, I.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Still on the season. I just feel like I'm figuring
- 11:29Speaker 1: out who I am. Yeah, does it ever really end?
- 11:32Speaker 2: No?
- 11:32Speaker 3: I don't think it does. And I think that's kind
- 11:34Speaker 3: of a cool part of life though, is you're always developing,
- 11:37Speaker 3: you're always growing, So that's.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Kind of cool exactly.
- 11:39Speaker 3: But I definitely miss trying to figure out who I
- 11:42Speaker 3: was when when I didn't have joint pain, you know.
- 11:45Speaker 1: And like bills and a bunch of responsibilities and stuff.
- 11:49Speaker 3: Yeah, and I could stay up till three am, wake
- 11:50Speaker 3: up at six am for work.
- 11:52Speaker 1: Oh yeah, Oh that would kill you.
- 11:54Speaker 3: Now I'm in bed by nine o'clock and that's.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Even sinhen I was going to be like seven or eight,
- 12:00Speaker 1: I'm like, who are you hey? Who are you hey?
- 12:02Speaker 3: I do that when I'm really tired. I've had long weeks. Okay,
- 12:07Speaker 3: I have a nice cup of tea and I go
- 12:08Speaker 3: to bed early.
- 12:09Speaker 1: I know what. I'm just like, Wow, who am I
- 12:11Speaker 1: married to?
- 12:12Speaker 3: I'm married to responsible adults? Okay, I said that we're
- 12:16Speaker 3: responsible adult I said, I don't know. I can't replicate it,
- 12:20Speaker 3: but it was weird, you know what I mean. Anyways,
- 12:23Speaker 3: care moving on, on the evening of December eighteenth, nineteen
- 12:28Speaker 3: ninety four, Allison was at the time twenty seven years
- 12:31Speaker 3: old when she had spent that evening hanging out with
- 12:34Speaker 3: some of her friends. Now they went to the beach
- 12:37Speaker 3: and enjoyed each other's company, and even though it was December,
- 12:39Speaker 3: you know, in South Africa that's summertime, whereas here in
- 12:42Speaker 3: Canada that's dead of winter. So they're rocking the beach,
- 12:47Speaker 3: you know, the warm weather, suns shine in, just having.
- 12:50Speaker 1: A good old time sounds awesome.
- 12:52Speaker 3: Right, I want to go to the beach right now
- 12:54Speaker 3: in fast till me too. When they were done at
- 12:57Speaker 3: the beach, they went ended up going back to Alison's
- 13:01Speaker 3: place where they ordered pizza and they continued to play
- 13:03Speaker 3: games and stuff just have fun. It was around one
- 13:07Speaker 3: am when they decided to call it an evening, and
- 13:09Speaker 3: Allison ended up ended up driving sorry one of her
- 13:14Speaker 3: friends home before heading back to her home herself. Now,
- 13:18Speaker 3: she pulled up to her usual parking spot that she
- 13:20Speaker 3: had just left and it was occupied. Someone had taken it,
- 13:25Speaker 3: so she was forced to find somewhere else to park
- 13:28Speaker 3: her vehicle. So she drove around the block and found
- 13:31Speaker 3: somewhere not too far away to park, and just when
- 13:34Speaker 3: she began to get out of her car, suddenly, out
- 13:38Speaker 3: of the shadows of the dark evening, a man brandishing
- 13:41Speaker 3: a knife threatened her.
- 13:43Speaker 1: Dang.
- 13:46Speaker 3: He made his way into the car and said, I
- 13:48Speaker 3: quote move over or I'll kill you. He told her
- 13:54Speaker 3: exactly that as he forced his way into the driver's seat,
- 13:57Speaker 3: and he said he wanted her car keys. So reluctant
- 14:01Speaker 3: and scared rightfully, so Alison did what she told was told.
- 14:05Speaker 3: She climbed to the passenger seat and handed over the keys.
- 14:09Speaker 3: The man started the car ignition and drove off into
- 14:12Speaker 3: the night. Dang, that's terrifying.
- 14:16Speaker 1: That is absolutely terrifying. Who the fuck took her spot?
- 14:19Speaker 3: Like? Come on, well, I mean, what if it was
- 14:23Speaker 3: a setup, right, what if they saw her leave thinking well,
- 14:25Speaker 3: she's gonna come back and they parked.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Who knows, Oh, I guess.
- 14:30Speaker 3: Or but if it was just a coincidence, yeah, who knows? Right?
- 14:35Speaker 1: Yeah? Because I mean a lot, not a lot of
- 14:36Speaker 1: people would probably be out at that time, and you
- 14:39Speaker 1: know who knows. Okay.
- 14:43Speaker 3: So this man, as he was driving, he told Alison,
- 14:47Speaker 3: I quote, I don't want to hurt you. I just
- 14:50Speaker 3: want to use your car for an hour. So Alison
- 14:54Speaker 3: thought about jumping out before the car pulled away, even
- 14:57Speaker 3: though she had a knife to her throat, but she
- 15:01Speaker 3: chose not to. She didn't want to believe the worst.
- 15:05Speaker 3: She didn't want to believe that anything even close to
- 15:08Speaker 3: the worst was going to happen to her. Instead, she
- 15:11Speaker 3: chose to believe in the best, that this man wasn't
- 15:14Speaker 3: going to hurt her, that he was going to use
- 15:17Speaker 3: a car, and soon it was going to be all over.
- 15:20Speaker 3: So she didn't leave the car. She didn't jump out.
- 15:25Speaker 3: So during the quiet drive, the man broke the silence
- 15:28Speaker 3: and spoke to her more. He said, my name's Clinton.
- 15:32Speaker 3: He introduced himself. He began small talk and asking her
- 15:36Speaker 3: some questions and creating conversation most likely to calm Allison's nerves.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Well, yeah, just easing her.
- 15:42Speaker 3: Exactly, And that's exactly what it did. It certainly did
- 15:46Speaker 3: because she didn't fight, she didn't scream, and she continued
- 15:50Speaker 3: to believe that he wasn't going to hurt her. After
- 15:55Speaker 3: a little ways, the man pulled the car over and
- 15:59Speaker 3: from the shadows again and emerged another man. Oh no,
- 16:03Speaker 3: and climbed into the backseat of the car. Then again
- 16:07Speaker 3: they drove off. So where's your head going so far?
- 16:11Speaker 3: What do you think is going to be happening to
- 16:13Speaker 3: Allison and these two individuals.
- 16:15Speaker 1: Well, it's not what they're saying, I don't think. And
- 16:18Speaker 1: she needs to fucking try to run. But then also like, yeah,
- 16:22Speaker 1: now there's two, she's even more screwed.
- 16:25Speaker 3: Yeah, and then a moving vehicle nonetheless too.
- 16:28Speaker 1: Right, Oh my gosh, it's not a good thing. Yeah,
- 16:32Speaker 1: so I can just judge from your reaction it's not
- 16:34Speaker 1: a good thing, or from your facial expressions here.
- 16:36Speaker 3: Oh no, it's definitely not a good thing. Of course,
- 16:40Speaker 3: what do you think they're going to go to Candy Mountain?
- 16:42Speaker 1: I'm on edge Candy Mountain Charlie.
- 16:45Speaker 3: Whoa. I don't know if you guys can hear that,
- 16:47Speaker 3: but we're having like some major feedback.
- 16:49Speaker 1: It didn't like you're singing, didn't.
- 16:51Speaker 3: It wasn't singing. It was an impression. Oh, Candy Mountain, Gody,
- 16:55Speaker 3: Candy Mountain, Charlie, does anyone get that reference? Let me
- 16:57Speaker 3: know if you get that reference? I know you don't,
- 16:58Speaker 3: do you? No, I knew it. Anyways, they're certainly not
- 17:04Speaker 3: headed to Candy Mountain, let's put it that way. Allison's nerves
- 17:08Speaker 3: began to worsen though, with the second man as soon
- 17:11Speaker 3: as he joined them. As he climbed in the in
- 17:14Speaker 3: the backseat and they began driving again, she looked in
- 17:17Speaker 3: the rear view mirror to where the man was sitting,
- 17:20Speaker 3: and all she saw when she met his eyes was,
- 17:23Speaker 3: and I quote directly from Alison, dead cold. And this
- 17:29Speaker 3: is when she knew that she wouldn't be going home.
- 17:36Speaker 1: Okay, but this is interesting, though, something you just quoted
- 17:38Speaker 1: something that she said.
- 17:40Speaker 3: Yes, okay, I already said at the beginning. This is
- 17:44Speaker 3: the survivor story.
- 17:45Speaker 1: Oh shit, right, it is okay. Sorry, in my brain,
- 17:48Speaker 1: I'm just like this is doomed. She's doomed. Okay, this
- 17:50Speaker 1: is good. Okay, I'm happy now.
- 17:54Speaker 3: You're sure you're okay? Yeah?
- 17:56Speaker 1: Yeah, I forgot that. You said it was survival will
- 18:00Speaker 1: like a roller coaster of emotions already.
- 18:03Speaker 3: Wow? All right? Anyway, is that aside? The three of
- 18:08Speaker 3: them drove out of town and they found their way
- 18:10Speaker 3: to a dark alcove by a beach, no street lights,
- 18:15Speaker 3: no people, and they stopped the car. The first thing
- 18:19Speaker 3: Clinton said as he shut off the car was was
- 18:23Speaker 3: are you going to fight?
- 18:26Speaker 2: Oh?
- 18:26Speaker 1: Asshole?
- 18:28Speaker 2: Yes, she didn't.
- 18:31Speaker 3: Alison didn't fight. She believed that she, you know, if
- 18:36Speaker 3: she was to give into this met these men, that
- 18:38Speaker 3: eventually she would find her way home maybe hopefully.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Okay, so she let.
- 18:45Speaker 3: Them do what they wanted. Clinton began raping Alison.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Oh my gosh.
- 18:52Speaker 3: Now in the documentary titled Alison, which is available on
- 18:56Speaker 3: Amazon Prime, and I highly recommend you guys watch it,
- 19:00Speaker 3: most of my information actually comes directly from that, because
- 19:03Speaker 3: it is Alison talking in the documentary, telling the whole story.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Is it like a one episode kind of thing or what?
- 19:10Speaker 3: Yes, it's about an hour long documentary. Okay, anyways, I
- 19:14Speaker 3: suggest you watch it. It is talked about how Clinton
- 19:18Speaker 3: was rather I'm going to say the word gentle though,
- 19:22Speaker 3: I mean he's raping her, clearly that's not gentle. But
- 19:28Speaker 3: he's gentle in the act as if he was trying
- 19:30Speaker 3: to give off the idea that he's treating her like
- 19:33Speaker 3: a lady. And it seems like he's kind of getting
- 19:36Speaker 3: off on that idea. So he's not being I mean,
- 19:41Speaker 3: it's sexual assault, but he's not like beating her in
- 19:43Speaker 3: the It's like, you know what I'm you know what
- 19:44Speaker 3: I'm trying.
- 19:45Speaker 1: I know you're saying that. I still hate it.
- 19:47Speaker 3: Yeah, it makes it slimy almost yeah, but well not
- 19:50Speaker 3: almost it is, but yeah. So anyways, Alison goes on
- 19:55Speaker 3: to mention that during the rape, and I quote from
- 19:57Speaker 3: her that her boss body responded and to her it
- 20:02Speaker 3: was the ultimate betrayal. Now, what I believe she is
- 20:06Speaker 3: referring to is an involuntary orgasm during the sexual assault.
- 20:12Speaker 3: There have been very few studies on orgasms during rape,
- 20:15Speaker 3: but what research has been done says that around five
- 20:19Speaker 3: to seven percent of rape victims experience orgasm during the event,
- 20:23Speaker 3: and most likely out of the feeling of shame and
- 20:26Speaker 3: not wanting to admit that something like this could have happened.
- 20:30Speaker 3: Possibly the numbers could be much higher. Okay, so she
- 20:34Speaker 3: doesn't say that's what happened, but I'm pretty sure that's
- 20:37Speaker 3: what she's inferring, which ultimate betrayal of her own body. Yeah.
- 20:45Speaker 3: I can't imagine how one would feel in that situation.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Yeah, that's quite a way to describe it. Oh my goodness.
- 20:50Speaker 3: Yeah, so that as soon as she said that, Like
- 20:55Speaker 3: I said, she didn't say it, but my heart just
- 20:58Speaker 3: sunk for her.
- 20:59Speaker 1: I was just like wow. Yeah.
- 21:02Speaker 3: So after Clinton had finished, he passed her off to
- 21:06Speaker 3: his friend, and in that moment, that friend referred to
- 21:11Speaker 3: Clinton as France, and it was then Alison knew Clinton's real.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Name, France France.
- 21:18Speaker 3: Oh okay, So the other man took his turn, but
- 21:23Speaker 3: he was not going to treat her in any ladylike manner.
- 21:27Speaker 3: He immediately grabbed her by the throat and began to
- 21:31Speaker 3: squeeze as he raped her violently. The last thing Alison
- 21:37Speaker 3: remembered before everything going black and she passed out was
- 21:42Speaker 3: when her body let loose and evacuated her bowels. Then
- 21:47Speaker 3: silence and darkness.
- 21:49Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, this is brutal.
- 21:52Speaker 3: Absolutely horrific. I cannot imagine anyone having to go through that.
- 21:57Speaker 1: It's disgusting that there's people out there that are that
- 22:00Speaker 1: fucking disgusting.
- 22:01Speaker 3: Yes, and I tried to take a look at some
- 22:04Speaker 3: rape statistics, and it's it seemed like it was all
- 22:07Speaker 3: over the place. I couldn't find anything specific that I
- 22:11Speaker 3: wanted to nail down. Mostly I didn't want to continue
- 22:14Speaker 3: researching that because it made me sick. But it's unfathomable
- 22:19Speaker 3: the amount of people that go through sexual assault and
- 22:21Speaker 3: rape and what they have to experience. So yeah, I
- 22:28Speaker 3: don't even know how to respond to that.
- 22:29Speaker 1: I don't know, I don't know. This world's really fucked up.
- 22:32Speaker 3: It's so fucked up. These two douche canoes just doing
- 22:34Speaker 3: this sort of stuff. It's like they have no sort
- 22:38Speaker 3: of sense or anything. That little angel on their shoulder
- 22:41Speaker 3: letting them know what they're doing to another fucking person. Yeah,
- 22:45Speaker 3: it's wow.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Yeah, Like, I just I can't even imagine actually going
- 22:51Speaker 1: and intentionally hurting someone or taking something like that away
- 22:55Speaker 1: from them, because I don't know. I even just like
- 22:59Speaker 1: walking down the street, I won't step on like an ant.
- 23:02Speaker 1: So I just can't fathom how your brain can be
- 23:04Speaker 1: so evil. I know that you could actually go and
- 23:07Speaker 1: do something like that. Yeah, it actually, I just I
- 23:10Speaker 1: can't ever imagine.
- 23:12Speaker 3: It's horrific. It's absolutely horrific. Some people are absolutely fucked yeh.
- 23:16Speaker 1: Yes, it's sad because you had to watch your back,
- 23:18Speaker 1: because there's a lot of fucked up people in this world.
- 23:21Speaker 3: Yeah. So, Alison clearly blacked out, whether it was from shock,
- 23:29Speaker 3: pain or being choked, but regardless, she blacked out. And
- 23:35Speaker 3: when she came to, she came to to a noise,
- 23:41Speaker 3: the sound something wet, something cutting.
- 23:46Speaker 1: Oh gosh.
- 23:46Speaker 3: The men were taking turns stabbing Alison repeatedly in the
- 23:52Speaker 3: pubic area in excess of thirty seven times, what thirty
- 24:00Speaker 3: seven times in her lower abdomen and pubic area, Holy shit,
- 24:05Speaker 3: until they moved to her throat.
- 24:08Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, okay, where.
- 24:10Speaker 3: Again they both took turns cutting, slashing, and stabbing her
- 24:15Speaker 3: a total of seventeen times, all while the pale moon
- 24:20Speaker 3: backlighting her attackers, ironically, in Allison's words, gave them a halo.
- 24:28Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, okay, this is just so disturbing. Okay, yeah, cat.
- 24:33Speaker 3: So she helplessly laid there and watched them mulate her
- 24:38Speaker 3: body until they turned and left her for dead and
- 24:42Speaker 3: drove away.
- 24:43Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, the scum of the earth.
- 24:46Speaker 3: Oh, one hundred percent major fucking.
- 24:49Speaker 1: Doucees, nasty malphos.
- 24:52Speaker 3: Now, Luckily, Alison couldn't feel any of the pain. Her
- 24:56Speaker 3: body was in such shock her brain overloaded with the
- 25:00Speaker 3: sense and couldn't process what to feel. Really, so it
- 25:03Speaker 3: didn't it shut down, and her ability to feel pain
- 25:07Speaker 3: was pretty much an existent To be fair, I'm sure
- 25:11Speaker 3: she felt some pain, but like the stabbing, the cutting,
- 25:14Speaker 3: that sort of stuff, she did not.
- 25:16Speaker 1: Feel, which is good.
- 25:18Speaker 3: Yes, So she was left there lying alone.
- 25:23Speaker 1: To basically like they just left her to like fleet
- 25:25Speaker 1: to death.
- 25:25Speaker 3: Really yeah, they most likely thought she was already dead,
- 25:30Speaker 3: and I believe they began cutting at her throat when
- 25:32Speaker 3: her leg twitched and they went to try and ensure
- 25:36Speaker 3: she was dead. However, she wasn't dead, and she may
- 25:41Speaker 3: not have been able to feel, but she did hear
- 25:44Speaker 3: the sound of her own breathing, wet and heavy gasps
- 25:49Speaker 3: of air through the gaping hole in her neck.
- 25:53Speaker 1: Gosh.
- 25:56Speaker 3: She laid there in the sand with only that sound
- 26:00Speaker 3: until she was left with a choice. At this moment,
- 26:03Speaker 3: Alison said that she had an out of body experience moment,
- 26:07Speaker 3: and she knew she had a choice. She could leave
- 26:10Speaker 3: and be set free, or she could settle in to
- 26:14Speaker 3: the fight of her life and try and survive. And
- 26:18Speaker 3: so that's exactly what she did. The first thing she
- 26:24Speaker 3: did in order to try and survive was to ensure
- 26:27Speaker 3: that her attackers were identified. Okay, in the sand in
- 26:32Speaker 3: front of her during the whole ordeal, whether they meant
- 26:38Speaker 3: to or not, she learned both of their names.
- 26:43Speaker 1: Wow, okay, that's amazing.
- 26:45Speaker 3: Yeah, so she wrote friends and theeans both of their
- 26:51Speaker 3: names in the sand, and beneath it, just in case
- 26:57Speaker 3: she didn't make it, she wrote, I love mom.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, okay, you had to do that.
- 27:04Speaker 3: Okay, Well, I didn't do anything.
- 27:08Speaker 1: That's heartbreaking as ship. Okay, you're good, Yeah, I'm good.
- 27:15Speaker 1: Well ish ish Okay was what was the other dude's names?
- 27:21Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, you good?
- 27:24Speaker 1: Yeah? Sure, you want to punch a couple of assholess? Yeah,
- 27:28Speaker 1: those guys they need They just deserve a lot.
- 27:31Speaker 3: Oh, they deserve to fucking rot. Let me tell you
- 27:33Speaker 3: that right now. Yep, they fucking trysh So she wrote
- 27:39Speaker 3: this and after that she made to trot. She made
- 27:43Speaker 3: an attempt to try and stand to her feet. There
- 27:47Speaker 3: we go. Sorry, But before she did, she managed to
- 27:50Speaker 3: feel her abdomen and it was wet and warm, and
- 27:54Speaker 3: in her hands she realized she held her own intestines.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 28:01Speaker 3: So she reached out and grabbed her own denim shirt
- 28:04Speaker 3: that was laying on the ground next to her, and
- 28:06Speaker 3: she wrapped it around her her stomach and tried her
- 28:12Speaker 3: best to hold her own stomach inside her as she
- 28:15Speaker 3: stood up.
- 28:15Speaker 1: Holy, Holy Holy.
- 28:19Speaker 3: As she stood up, the only thing she could see
- 28:23Speaker 3: were the stars. And I don't mean like metaphorically, like
- 28:26Speaker 3: when you talked on the head stars, literal stars. She
- 28:30Speaker 3: was staring straight up at the sky because the muscles
- 28:33Speaker 3: at the front of her neck were severed and her
- 28:36Speaker 3: head flopped back so far on its own. She was
- 28:40Speaker 3: staring straight up and most likely even back quite a
- 28:45Speaker 3: ways because, as she described it, her head was laying
- 28:47Speaker 3: back between her shoulder plates.
- 28:49Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, Okay, that is just unbelievable that someone
- 28:54Speaker 1: in that state could even like stand up, like are
- 28:57Speaker 1: you kidding me?
- 28:59Speaker 3: Yeah, And she managed to hold her stomach in stand up,
- 29:05Speaker 3: place her hand on the top of her head right
- 29:08Speaker 3: itself up and hold her head as she made her
- 29:12Speaker 3: way towards the road.
- 29:14Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, that is too much now.
- 29:16Speaker 3: She said. It was almost like someone else took over
- 29:19Speaker 3: her body and was doing the steps for her, and
- 29:22Speaker 3: somehow she managed to make it, just all of a sudden.
- 29:25Speaker 3: All she remembers was she was there at the road,
- 29:28Speaker 3: and at the road she collapsed, and a distant pair
- 29:32Speaker 3: of headlights came, drawing closer. They grew larger and larger
- 29:38Speaker 3: as it got closer and closer, But the car just
- 29:43Speaker 3: went around Alison as she laid there helpless. What and
- 29:46Speaker 3: the car kept going?
- 29:48Speaker 1: What the fuck?
- 29:49Speaker 3: Yep?
- 29:49Speaker 1: Did not notice her on the road?
- 29:52Speaker 3: I'm sure it did?
- 29:54Speaker 1: Are you kidding me?
- 29:55Speaker 3: Dead serious?
- 29:57Speaker 1: Okay, okay, now, thank.
- 30:00Speaker 3: Another car did come shortly after, and a man got
- 30:04Speaker 3: out by the name of Tien Ellard. Now he found
- 30:08Speaker 3: the battered and bloodied Allison in the road, terrified and
- 30:11Speaker 3: unable to speak, but he got down, he held her hand,
- 30:16Speaker 3: and him and his friends managed to actually have a
- 30:19Speaker 3: cell phone from nineteen ninety fucking was it nineteen ninety four?
- 30:22Speaker 1: Yeah? I think that's what you said.
- 30:24Speaker 3: They actually had a cell phone, and they called the ambulance.
- 30:27Speaker 2: Oh, good and.
- 30:28Speaker 3: This man Tienne laid there holding her hand the entire time.
- 30:33Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, which is so incredible. It's like the
- 30:36Speaker 1: complete reverse of what the fuck happened earlier with these
- 30:40Speaker 1: man to this, Like, that's unbelievable.
- 30:43Speaker 3: Alison describes this man as her knight and shining armor.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, it makes you want a ball.
- 30:47Speaker 3: Now, the ambulance would have been about fifteen minutes away,
- 30:51Speaker 3: but it took them over forty minutes to arrive. Why well,
- 30:56Speaker 3: on their way to the hospital, they weren't in much
- 30:58Speaker 3: of a rush. They had pretty much written off Alison
- 31:01Speaker 3: for dead. So why rush?
- 31:03Speaker 1: Are you fucking kidding me?
- 31:05Speaker 3: That's exactly what happened.
- 31:07Speaker 1: That is bullshit. I was gonna say baloney, but that
- 31:12Speaker 1: is unbelievable.
- 31:13Speaker 3: Tienne even was like can we hurry up?
- 31:15Speaker 1: And they're just like, why are you kidding? That is okay?
- 31:18Speaker 1: So now we're just like going to complete all over
- 31:21Speaker 1: the place of just humanity right now.
- 31:23Speaker 3: Okay, humanity mostly sucks mostly, let's put it that way,
- 31:28Speaker 3: because we have people like Tian. Yeah, and we'll find
- 31:32Speaker 3: out later here that there are I don't really talk
- 31:34Speaker 3: about specific doctors or anything, but there are doctors that
- 31:37Speaker 3: definitely put in the elbow grip.
- 31:39Speaker 1: I'm sorry, but I paramedic should also be doing that.
- 31:42Speaker 3: Oh they should. So anyways, miraculously again Alison pulled through.
- 31:49Speaker 3: She made it to the hospital alive, and fun fact,
- 31:52Speaker 3: Tian Ellard actually from this instant went on to become
- 31:55Speaker 3: a doctor from.
- 31:56Speaker 1: This Oh my gosh, I love that.
- 31:59Speaker 3: Yeah. So, anyways, Alison was in rough shape. Her throat
- 32:03Speaker 3: was cut from ear to ear. It went straight through
- 32:07Speaker 3: the front of her neck, muscles and trachea, so she
- 32:10Speaker 3: was clearly breathing through the gaping hole in her neck.
- 32:14Speaker 3: She also had some cuts and stabs a little bit
- 32:16Speaker 3: lower in her throat into her chest. Miraculously, it did
- 32:20Speaker 3: not pierce her lungs or her heart. The slashes in
- 32:24Speaker 3: her neck did not touch her carotid arteries, so that
- 32:29Speaker 3: on its own is how the fuck did that happen?
- 32:32Speaker 1: It's like a miracle.
- 32:33Speaker 3: Really. Oh yeah. Basically, her abdomen was completely disemboweled and
- 32:40Speaker 3: she had a length of her intestines laying on the
- 32:43Speaker 3: outside of her body. As I had already discussed that
- 32:46Speaker 3: were coated in beach sand, dirt and debris, which meant
- 32:50Speaker 3: extreme cleaning and scrubbing of her organs were necessary to
- 32:54Speaker 3: prevent infections during surgery. Further inspections of her body showed
- 33:01Speaker 3: that with the damage done to her pubic region, it
- 33:03Speaker 3: was highly unlikely she would ever be able to bear children.
- 33:09Speaker 3: So she went through some major surgeries and somehow she
- 33:14Speaker 3: survived the whole ordeal.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Alison made it, Wow, that is incredible. Yep, She's just
- 33:23Speaker 1: like a superhuman.
- 33:24Speaker 3: She's like literally a fucking superhero, Like, Yeah, how the
- 33:27Speaker 3: fuck can you survive that? Seventeen slashes and stabs and
- 33:31Speaker 3: hacks to your neck, thirty seven to your abdomen and
- 33:34Speaker 3: you hold her own neck head in place and walk away.
- 33:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:38Speaker 1: Like her physical strength, but then also her mental strength,
- 33:41Speaker 1: because how many people, if they had that choice and
- 33:44Speaker 1: we're in that ruff of shape, would probably just be like, yeah,
- 33:47Speaker 1: I'm done, Like I'm out.
- 33:48Speaker 3: And the mental strength that she had to go and
- 33:51Speaker 3: endure during her recovery as well. They talk about it
- 33:54Speaker 3: in the documentary quite a bit, but I'm not gonna
- 33:57Speaker 3: be touching on it too much because I kind of
- 33:58Speaker 3: want you to go watch that documentary and see some
- 34:00Speaker 3: of the other information that I do pass by. But
- 34:04Speaker 3: in some of the things like court proceedings and such.
- 34:08Speaker 3: During her healing process. A lot of times she was
- 34:11Speaker 3: mentioning that she would basically just have to like drop
- 34:14Speaker 3: her pants and just show the wounds and how they're healing. Well,
- 34:21Speaker 3: I don't know how far it meant by like dropping
- 34:23Speaker 3: her pants into who specifically, not like necessarily in court,
- 34:26Speaker 3: but I'm sure to investigate her. She's definitely having to
- 34:29Speaker 3: drop her pants quite a bit because it wasn't like
- 34:31Speaker 3: the attack was like between the legs to her vagina specifically,
- 34:35Speaker 3: it was the pubic region right like above. So she's
- 34:38Speaker 3: definitely having to drop her pants and stuff at least somewhat,
- 34:42Speaker 3: and having to show people the healing process and having
- 34:45Speaker 3: to relive the accounts over and over and over.
- 34:48Speaker 1: Yeah, on her body and just yeah, the scarring and
- 34:51Speaker 1: oh at all.
- 34:53Speaker 3: There was one incident in the court where she said
- 34:56Speaker 3: that she always thought that her neck was one of
- 34:58Speaker 3: her strongest features and look at it now. So just
- 35:01Speaker 3: things like that that just would have messed with someone immensely.
- 35:07Speaker 3: So yeah, that's jumping ahead a little bit though to
- 35:10Speaker 3: that documentary again, do go check it out after we
- 35:12Speaker 3: have done this episode. Allison's recovery though, was a rough one,
- 35:17Speaker 3: of course, but yeah, she was now faced with the
- 35:21Speaker 3: fact of needing to identify the two men who attacked her.
- 35:24Speaker 1: And they're just like they were probably just like shocked,
- 35:28Speaker 1: like utterly shocked that she survived this.
- 35:31Speaker 3: The attackers, yeah, oh, I'm sure they were. I'm pretty
- 35:34Speaker 3: sure they thought she was dead. So anyways, investigators brought
- 35:40Speaker 3: her a folder filled with local criminals in the area,
- 35:42Speaker 3: and as they flipped through the pages, she.
- 35:45Speaker 1: Found one really friends.
- 35:48Speaker 3: However, she was unable to speak as her throat was healing.
- 35:51Speaker 3: It had been sutured together and she had a breathing
- 35:55Speaker 3: tube down her throat to help her breathe. However, she
- 35:59Speaker 3: did point him out and she wrote his name down
- 36:01Speaker 3: on a piece of paper. Then, continuing in the folder,
- 36:05Speaker 3: she saw and pointed out the next man and wrote
- 36:08Speaker 3: his name down.
- 36:09Speaker 1: To Wow, so these guys are already just like winners
- 36:14Speaker 1: prior to just.
- 36:15Speaker 3: Yeah, we could call them winners. Sure, why not?
- 36:18Speaker 1: I'm being very sarcastic here. I'm well aware the fact
- 36:21Speaker 1: that they're in the fucking book.
- 36:22Speaker 3: They're fucking slime.
- 36:24Speaker 1: Oh god, oh okay, just the fact that there is
- 36:28Speaker 1: a book. Okay, sorry, the fact that there is a
- 36:31Speaker 1: book and yet these people are just in the streets.
- 36:35Speaker 3: It's just I'm not too sure how criminal these criminals
- 36:41Speaker 3: in the book are known to be.
- 36:43Speaker 1: I know, but that does happen though. Oh there's people
- 36:46Speaker 1: out there that should not ever be out there, and
- 36:48Speaker 1: then they're just recommitting and lah.
- 36:50Speaker 3: Yeah. Regardless though of the degree that people are for
- 36:56Speaker 3: being in the book, they were in the book, and
- 36:58Speaker 3: the fact that she was identified able to identify him.
- 37:01Speaker 3: Police were absolutely thrilled and they were thrilled that she
- 37:04Speaker 3: was able to help. However, apparently to the chief prosecutor,
- 37:09Speaker 3: it would be more effective if Allison was able to
- 37:12Speaker 3: say their names verbally. Why, I don't.
- 37:17Speaker 1: Know, just like torment her a little more.
- 37:21Speaker 3: I don't know. It almost seems that way to me.
- 37:24Speaker 1: That's really weird.
- 37:26Speaker 3: I know, it was very fucking odd, and it's like
- 37:28Speaker 3: what the fuck? So of course Alison's doctor is like
- 37:32Speaker 3: pretty much panicking, like, okay, we now have to remove
- 37:35Speaker 3: the breathing tube because she's on assisted breathing right now,
- 37:38Speaker 3: and we just literally stitched her throat together pulling this
- 37:42Speaker 3: tube belt could.
- 37:43Speaker 1: Oh like that you wanted him to do it? Then?
- 37:45Speaker 1: And there yeah, say the name.
- 37:48Speaker 2: Yeah, what the heck?
- 37:49Speaker 3: Yeah no. The police came back that same day and said, yeah,
- 37:53Speaker 3: the chief prosecutor wants you to say the names verbally.
- 37:58Speaker 1: Okay, so yeah, this messed up.
- 38:01Speaker 3: This means pulling the tube out of a freshly stitched
- 38:04Speaker 3: together throat. So anyways, the doctor went and discussed this
- 38:10Speaker 3: with Alison and how seriously concerned he was with this happening,
- 38:14Speaker 3: and Allison was like, wrote down, was like pull it out.
- 38:17Speaker 1: Oh my gosh.
- 38:21Speaker 3: So yeah, against the doctor's instincts, the tube was removed,
- 38:27Speaker 3: and Allison managed to utter. The first words out of
- 38:30Speaker 3: her mouth was that's wonderful, followed by the names my
- 38:35Speaker 3: attackers were friends and theans.
- 38:39Speaker 1: Huh, what do you mean that's wonderful.
- 38:43Speaker 3: Whether it was sarcasm or that's wonderful that the tube
- 38:47Speaker 3: is out, I don't know, but for first words where
- 38:50Speaker 3: that's wonderful. Then my attackers were friends and theans.
- 38:55Speaker 1: Geez, I don't think that even my.
- 38:56Speaker 3: First worse I know, right, thank you?
- 39:00Speaker 1: Like an asshole? God, oh my god, what a fucking badass. Yeah,
- 39:05Speaker 1: that's amazing.
- 39:07Speaker 3: Like her throat is stitched together.
- 39:09Speaker 1: She's just like unstoppable.
- 39:11Speaker 3: Oh, it's absolutely insane. So she went on to the
- 39:16Speaker 3: point or sorry. She went on to point them out
- 39:19Speaker 3: in a lineup as well later on in her recovery
- 39:23Speaker 3: and the two men friends, I'm really going to butcher
- 39:26Speaker 3: their name, but fran Detoit and theans Krueger, I'm not
- 39:30Speaker 3: going to talk about them much, but she did point
- 39:32Speaker 3: them out. She's and I believe there was actual footage
- 39:36Speaker 3: of her in that lineup, and she's like, they look
- 39:38Speaker 3: a bit different now, but these are them. But anyways,
- 39:42Speaker 3: I'm not going to talk about them too much. They
- 39:44Speaker 3: were both known criminals, hence why they were in that book,
- 39:47Speaker 3: and they were both they both had a history of rape,
- 39:51Speaker 3: each of them. Oh yeah, So anyways, they were quickly
- 39:57Speaker 3: prosecuted and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility
- 40:03Speaker 3: of parole for their attack on Alison. Both good, yeah.
- 40:08Speaker 1: Very much, so good.
- 40:10Speaker 3: However, don't.
- 40:16Speaker 1: Don't, don't don't what, don't don't what?
- 40:21Speaker 3: However, a political decision meant that prisoners who were sentenced
- 40:27Speaker 3: prior to October twenty or sorry, two thousand and four
- 40:31Speaker 3: had automatically become eligible for parole.
- 40:35Speaker 1: Wow wow, Yeah, so they're out right now, aren't they?
- 40:44Speaker 3: Well, there was they have been up for parole. However, thankfully,
- 40:51Speaker 3: to date, neither man has been granted parole.
- 40:54Speaker 1: Thank goodness, i'd raged.
- 40:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 40:59Speaker 3: Right, so Alison wrote letters, you know, like pleaning to
- 41:05Speaker 3: basically keep them behind bars. There was protests like you
- 41:09Speaker 3: name it.
- 41:09Speaker 1: Well because honestly, if they got oh, chances are they
- 41:12Speaker 1: very much si reoffend.
- 41:14Speaker 3: And people like that who literally hacked and slashed someone
- 41:18Speaker 3: like that, I'll just understod on parole. Like the judge
- 41:22Speaker 3: prior to who was on the sentencing specifically put like
- 41:26Speaker 3: notes like these guys are never wrote for fucking parole.
- 41:29Speaker 3: So the fact that this political thing is all like
- 41:31Speaker 3: oh they're they're up for parole and everything like that,
- 41:34Speaker 3: I think that note is definitely making it a possibility
- 41:37Speaker 3: that they they're never up for parole.
- 41:39Speaker 1: Good good that judge it good then.
- 41:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 41:42Speaker 3: So anyways, so Alison thankfully lived, and live is exactly
- 41:50Speaker 3: what she has gone on to do. She found and
- 41:53Speaker 3: married the love of her life in February of nineteen
- 41:56Speaker 3: ninety seven, and together they conceive to sons. Holy she
- 42:03Speaker 3: was able to bear children.
- 42:04Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, that's incredible. Actually, it's beyond incredible.
- 42:10Speaker 3: Her whole story like what she went through, what she survived,
- 42:13Speaker 3: even the fact that she was describing the fact that
- 42:16Speaker 3: she had a choice to survive and she chose to fight.
- 42:19Speaker 3: And then she goes on to not only to survive,
- 42:23Speaker 3: but then survive the odds because there's there's some things
- 42:27Speaker 3: like you can't just fight through, like the damage to
- 42:30Speaker 3: your body. It's up to your body to heal or
- 42:33Speaker 3: it's up to how the damage was done. If you
- 42:37Speaker 3: are going to be able to have children again, you
- 42:38Speaker 3: can fight your will to live as much as you want,
- 42:41Speaker 3: but your will to have children, like that's that's your anatomy, you.
- 42:44Speaker 1: Know what, right, Yeah, I get it.
- 42:46Speaker 3: So the fact that she won those odds on top
- 42:48Speaker 3: of all of it is absolutely fucking mind blowing.
- 42:52Speaker 1: Yeah, that is incredible.
- 42:55Speaker 3: So Alison, like I said, has a great family now,
- 42:58Speaker 3: she is living absolutely happily. She has gone on to
- 43:02Speaker 3: become an inspirational speaker, travel and telling her story worldwide.
- 43:07Speaker 3: She will quite literally go up on stage and she
- 43:10Speaker 3: will tell her story to crowds and crowds of people.
- 43:13Speaker 3: She will describe every bit of detail what she went through.
- 43:17Speaker 3: And I can't imagine looking people in the face and
- 43:21Speaker 3: describing that sort of thing and having the strength to
- 43:25Speaker 3: keep talking.
- 43:27Speaker 1: Wow. She is incredible human being and like her little boys,
- 43:33Speaker 1: lucky to have that kind of a mom. Hey.
- 43:36Speaker 3: Wow. So she had put out the documentary that I
- 43:40Speaker 3: had previously mentioned called Alison, and also a book which
- 43:44Speaker 3: describes her journey and how it affected her in her life,
- 43:48Speaker 3: titled I Have Life, and that she most certainly does.
- 43:56Speaker 1: Is it a L I s O n yep? Okay,
- 44:00Speaker 1: I'm definitely looking this up. I want to watch. I
- 44:02Speaker 1: want to like listen to her and just see her.
- 44:04Speaker 1: That is amazing.
- 44:05Speaker 3: So that is the story of Alice and botha the
- 44:09Speaker 3: badass of the day for wicked and grim and I'm
- 44:13Speaker 3: pretty sure the badass of the century because holy shit. Yeah,
- 44:18Speaker 3: that is absolutely insane. And I am so happy that
- 44:21Speaker 3: she managed to survive because I the.
- 44:24Speaker 1: World needs her people like that. That is incredible. Yeah
- 44:29Speaker 1: huh okay. And I actually didn't have never heard of
- 44:32Speaker 1: that hadn't heard of that story, so well, I know
- 44:34Speaker 1: we have discussed some details before about it. Okay, Well,
- 44:37Speaker 1: I must be forgetting, really, can you forget? I don't know,
- 44:42Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 44:43Speaker 3: I don't know, because I remember telling you about I
- 44:45Speaker 3: think it was a couple of months ago when I
- 44:47Speaker 3: first ran across across her story and I was telling
- 44:50Speaker 3: you about someone like quite literally surviving a beheading and
- 44:53Speaker 3: her holding her own head on.
- 44:54Speaker 1: Her Okay, that rings a bell. Okay, yeah, yeah, this
- 44:58Speaker 1: is her. Yeah, well well done, thank you. It's nice
- 45:03Speaker 1: to have a story like that. That's a good one.
- 45:05Speaker 1: Well it's not good what she went through, but just
- 45:09Speaker 1: that she survived.
- 45:10Speaker 3: And then she prevailed. Yeah, came through the other end,
- 45:13Speaker 3: and she is very happy with her life and she
- 45:15Speaker 3: is making a point to live and that's it's just wow.
- 45:20Speaker 1: It's incredible.
- 45:20Speaker 3: Yeah, so awesome, absolutely inspirational. And Alison didn't even have
- 45:26Speaker 3: to stand up in front of a stage and tell
- 45:28Speaker 3: us for me to be inspired.
- 45:29Speaker 1: By her right now, no kidding, Yeah, she just keeps
- 45:31Speaker 1: going like that is awesome, awesome.
- 45:35Speaker 3: So you're gonna go watch Alison the documentary?
- 45:39Speaker 1: Yeah I might right now. I'm just like I need
- 45:42Speaker 1: to watch this, all.
