Judge Orders DOJ to Hand Over More Unredacted Epstein Files (6/27/26) · The Vault: The Epstein Files

• 0:00
Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Epstein Chronicles. Over the past twenty four hours, we have
• 0:07
an order from a judge demanding that Todd Blanche and
• 0:11
the DOJ release more Epstein files that by law, should
• 0:16
have been released previously. And now the DOJ has until
• 0:19
July second to either release the files or explain why
• 0:23
those redactions have been made, and up until now they
• 0:27
have refused to do that. That's been one of the
• 0:30
sticking points for Todd Blanche and the DOJ. They don't
• 0:33
want to explain anything because the more information we have,
• 0:36
the more we know, and the less they can lie
• 0:38
to us. And God forbid that happens, right, God forbid,
• 0:42
they have to tell us the truth. So today we
• 0:45
have an article from ABC News and the headline judge
• 0:50
orders DOJ to turn over some redacted Epstein files. This
• 0:54
article was authored by James Hill and Peter Charlembeau. A
• 1:00
federal judge is ordering the Department of Justice to turn
• 1:03
over unredacted versions of some of the files related to
• 1:06
the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein or explain why
• 1:10
the materials were withheld. And I mean, you would think
• 1:14
that the most transparent administration in history wouldn't need a
• 1:18
judge to tell them to be transparent. You would think
• 1:21
that they would just, you know, release the documentation, and
• 1:25
if you had nothing to hide, nothing to fear, you
• 1:27
would do it. And in my opinion, it's a gigantic
• 1:30
tell that they won't release the files even when they've
• 1:34
been ordered by the court, and you know that Todd
• 1:36
Blanche and the DOJ is going to come up with
• 1:38
some kind of counter to this, some kind of loophole,
• 1:42
some kind of technicality that keeps all the files hidden.
• 1:46
US District Judge Emmitt Sullivan sided with the Independent journalist
• 1:51
who sued over the withheld materials, concluding that the Trump
• 1:54
administration likely violated the terms of the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
• 2:00
They not likely, they did. The law calls for one thing,
• 2:05
they did another. And not only that, but they've been
• 2:08
brazen about it. They've decided that they're going to do
• 2:13
whatever they want to do, whatever helps protect their narrative,
• 2:17
as opposed to what the law tells them to do.
• 2:20
And of course that's a big problem, right, or it
• 2:23
should be if we had a functioning country, but unfortunately
• 2:28
that is not the case. The Department of Justice has
• 2:32
until July second to either turn over the documents with
• 2:35
less redactions, namely identifying the sender and recipient of some
• 2:39
emails and the names of co conspirators included in a
• 2:42
draft indictment, or explain why their redactions should not be removed.
• 2:48
And that's what the law says. Why is that so
• 2:50
difficult for them to do. If they're doing everything correctly
• 2:54
and they're doing their level best to make sure that
• 2:57
there's no slip ups people names aren't released, that shouldn't
• 3:01
be released, etc. Then they should have no problem just
• 3:05
releasing all the files. You see. The thing is, they're
• 3:09
not worried about privacy. They're not worried about people's reputations.
• 3:13
They're worried about the reputation of the institutions, the institutions
• 3:18
that allowed this to occur for decades. That's what they're
• 3:21
worried about. He also ordered the Department of Justice to
• 3:25
publish a log detailing all their redactions. Among the documents
• 3:29
included in the ruling, Judge Sullivan ordered the DOJ to
• 3:33
hand over the underlying notes from the FBI's interview with
• 3:36
a woman who accused President Donald Trump of assault. Those
• 3:40
claims were uncorroborated, and Trump has denied the allegations. The
• 3:45
DOJ has released the interview reports from some of those interviews,
• 3:49
but not the underlying notes. And why wouldn't they release
• 3:52
it all? If you're going to release that statement and
• 3:56
that report, don't you think you'd want some context, especially
• 4:00
if you're a Trump, if you did nothing wrong and
• 4:04
there's context that'll prove that, wouldn't you want the public
• 4:07
to see that side of the story. The Trump administration
• 4:10
was also ordered to reveal the sender and recipients of
• 4:13
a series of emails that reference the recruiting of young women.
• 4:18
The key are the fourteen to fifteen year old girls.
• 4:20
I am a sexual pervert because I say they are
• 4:23
now of reproductive age, said one email send to Epstein
• 4:26
in twenty fifteen. My heart goes out to you brother.
• 4:30
Being called a sexual pervert is no fun. Well here's
• 4:33
an idea, you demented sick fuck whoever sent that email.
• 4:38
If you don't want to be a pervert, don't be one.
• 4:42
Find women of age. And if you want to get
• 4:45
kinky and freaky, and you can't find somebody that's willing
• 4:47
to do that without being paid, plenty of people that
• 4:52
are willing to do whatever you want if you have
• 4:54
the right amount of money. So what this comes down to,
• 4:58
like usual, is not just about the sexual gratification, if
• 5:01
you will. It's about the domination. It's about the control.
• 5:05
It's about these rich people doing whatever they want to
• 5:08
whoever they want, with no repercussions. She is like Lolita
• 5:14
from the Bakhov Feme miniature. So now I should send
• 5:18
you her type of candidates only. Another email sent to
• 5:21
Epstein in twenty seventeen, said Judge Sullivan rejected the DOJ's
• 5:26
argument against releasing the material and concluded that the Public
• 5:30
Integrity Project, a public interest law firm, demonstrated that independent
• 5:35
journalist Katy Fang was harmed by the materials being withheld.
• 5:40
And that's a big w for Katy Fang and for
• 5:42
independent journalists, and I definitely salute her for doing that.
• 5:47
It's not easy to take on the federal government, and
• 5:50
if you don't have the right kind of you know though,
• 5:52
the right kind of funding, very difficult. But thankfully Katie
• 5:57
was successful here and Judge sel Been decided that enough
• 6:01
is enough. I mean, how long are we going to
• 6:03
just sit back and watch the DOJ break the law.
• 6:08
I assure you, if you were breaking the law, it
• 6:10
wouldn't be the same story, right. They'd be kicking in
• 6:13
your door, pulling you out of the house, throwing you
• 6:16
in jail, whatever the fuck. They certainly wouldn't be defending
• 6:21
you the way they're defending Jeffrey Epstein's friends. The court
• 6:25
concludes that Miss Fang satisfies the second part of the test.
• 6:28
She's suffering the type of harm lack of transparency that
• 6:32
Congress ought to prevent by requiring disclosure of the information,
• 6:36
and the disclosure of the information that Missfang seeks would
• 6:39
help her in her work. The ruling said, yes, it would.
• 6:43
All of this stuff needs to be public. That's what
• 6:46
the law says. And if anybody is disagreeing with that,
• 6:49
I don't really care. Disagree all you want. That's what
• 6:53
the law says. And if the DOJ doesn't follow the law,
• 6:57
then they're in violation of it. Unfortunately, there's no remedy
• 7:00
to hold them accountable. The Public Integrity Projects said that
• 7:05
the ruling will ensure the public will finally get transparency
• 7:09
around Jeffrey Epstein and his network. The government ignored a
• 7:12
law passed by Congress, and then refused to defend its
• 7:15
own conduct in court, all for the sake of protecting
• 7:18
the rich and powerful Brendan Ballou with the Public Integrity Project, Yo,
• 7:24
that's for sure. The DOJ would rather protect the donors,
• 7:28
Trump's buddies, you know, the big time bankers, the academics,
• 7:33
the people in intelligence world, leaders, all those people. They're
• 7:37
the ones being protected. Not you, not the survivors, not
• 7:41
the country, Nope, just people like the guy that sent
• 7:44
that email talking about fifteen year old girls and Lolita
• 7:48
and the dude that sent the torture email. That's who
• 7:50
they're protecting. Certainly not us, Certainly not society. The DOJ
• 7:56
began releasing thousands of pages the documents related to Epstein
• 8:00
last year, following the release of the Epstein Files Transparency Act. However,
• 8:05
the Department faced criticism from some lawmakers who questioned whether
• 8:09
the Department violated the Act by withholding some material and
• 8:13
missing the deadline to release the files. Well, yeah, if
• 8:17
the law calls for you to release the files by
• 8:19
December nineteenth, then what are we doing on June twenty
• 8:23
sixth with no files in our hands at least not
• 8:27
all of them, and no explanation right at the very least,
• 8:31
give us an explanation about the redactions, like the law says,
• 8:36
were you guys too busy for that? I thought you
• 8:37
had five hundred lawyers from everywhere in the world. In addition,
• 8:43
some Democratic lawmakers criticized what they called completely unnecessary redactions
• 8:48
in some of the files and said the DOJ had
• 8:51
failed to redact the name of some victims. They did.
• 8:55
It was a piss poor job all the way around.
• 8:58
Everybody that was involved in it, from the bosses on
• 9:03
down to the people that were supposedly going through the documentation.
• 9:08
Everybody screwed up. And of course they'll tell you that
• 9:13
it was because they were overworked and they were spending
• 9:16
so much time doing this as well as their other duties.
• 9:20
But that's not a good enough excuse. We're talking about
• 9:22
people who had their whole entire lives blown up by this.
• 9:26
And I'm not talking about Jeffrey Epstein's buddies, fuck them.
• 9:29
I'm talking about the people who were harmed. If you
• 9:33
went to dinner with Jeffrey Epstein fifteen times and then
• 9:36
you lied about it and then you got outed by
• 9:38
the files, I don't really care about your reputation. I
• 9:41
care about the fact that the Department of Justice is
• 9:44
in violation of a law that was passed by Congress
• 9:46
and signed by the President. And not only that, we
• 9:50
have the DOJ coming out and saying that that's it.
• 9:52
We're not getting anything else, as if they make the law,
• 9:58
as if they're the ones that can just decide what
• 10:00
law they're going to follow and which law they're going
• 10:03
to break. That's not how this works. Acting Attorney General
• 10:09
Todd Blanche has stated repeatedly that the DOJ has complied
• 10:12
with the law, even as he's acknowledged that the Department
• 10:15
continues to withhold millions of more pages that he says
• 10:19
aren't relevant to the law's demands, either because they're duplicates
• 10:22
or contain explicit material. In April, the DOJ's internal watchdog
• 10:28
announced it was launching an audit into DOJ's compliance with
• 10:31
the law. Oh, I'm sure that's going to work out. Well.
• 10:34
Nothing like a good old internal audit to get things going.
• 10:37
I'm sure it's going to be fine work, just like
• 10:38
the OIG reports into the NPA and into Jeffrey Epstein's death. Look,
• 10:44
there's only one body or one group of people if
• 10:47
you will that can look at this with a sober
• 10:50
eye and do the right thing. And that's a independent
• 10:53
special counsel. And if you notice, nobody's even talking about it.
• 10:58
But if you want real justice and you want to
• 11:00
have a shot to get to the bottom of what happened,
• 11:03
that's the way to do it. So the question is
• 11:06
what are they waiting for. All the information that goes
• 11:10
