- 0:23Speaker 3: Good? Thank you very much? Getting ready for the July weekend.
- 0:26Speaker 3: Can't wait.
- 0:27Speaker 1: It's gonna be one hundred degrees real feel one hundred
- 0:30Speaker 1: and ten.
- 0:32Speaker 3: I just gotta stay into it. I guess make sure
- 0:35Speaker 3: we got plenty of activistion available. Mark with this transition
- 0:38Speaker 3: to from capitalism towards socialism communism, especially in New York City.
- 0:45Speaker 3: I don't know if you remember the million Dollar movie
- 0:47Speaker 3: used to be on Channel nine. The used to play
- 0:50Speaker 3: Gone with the Wind for the whole week in a row.
- 0:52Speaker 3: Why not bring back the movie Doctor Shivago where it
- 0:56Speaker 3: really shows what happened in the in Russia going to
- 1:00Speaker 3: Soviet Union and the transition. That movie is very vivid
- 1:04Speaker 3: and it shows exactly how Moscow changed with the revolution.
- 1:09Speaker 3: I think that would be very enlightening. Well, but to see.
- 1:11Speaker 1: That, I don't think it will work because it's a
- 1:15Speaker 1: spectacular movie. Cost of fortune visually, cinematography, unbelievable. But it's
- 1:21Speaker 1: like four hours. It's like four hours long. It's twenty
- 1:24Speaker 1: twenty six. Nobody has an attention span long enough to
- 1:26Speaker 1: watch that movie anymore. It's a fair.
- 1:29Speaker 3: Happened in the machine. You know, you watch it homely foras.
- 1:32Speaker 1: It it's a great everybody should go watch it. That's
- 1:36Speaker 1: a good point. But the people that need to see
- 1:39Speaker 1: at the.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Money experience, it's a tshi experience.
- 1:42Speaker 4: Yeah, I know, but what's the store.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Will love it. But the mom donnie voters, the twenty somethings,
- 1:49Speaker 1: they have an attention span at thirty seconds. That's why
- 1:52Speaker 1: they like TikTok. You'd have to make a TikTok version
- 1:55Speaker 1: of Doctor Shivago to get through to them.
- 1:58Speaker 3: But they're they're very minority, minority his followers, they're really
- 2:01Speaker 3: a small portion of the population.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Well, that's who you're trying to convert. They're the voters
- 2:06Speaker 1: voting for socialism.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Nah, you don't need them.
- 2:08Speaker 3: You need people to get to the polls to prevent
- 2:11Speaker 3: the transition.
- 2:12Speaker 2: That's the thing.
- 2:13Speaker 3: All right, here's a lesson.
- 2:16Speaker 1: All right, doctor Bob, not a bad idea, Thanks for calling. Uh,
- 2:21Speaker 1: it was the hell of a movie, Doctor Jevago is
- 2:23Speaker 1: what that was the guy's name, Omar Sharif, remember him
- 2:28Speaker 1: with the mustache. But again, twenty something watching TikTok videos
- 2:34Speaker 1: of dot cake is, they're not going to sit through
- 2:36Speaker 1: four hours of Omar Sharif on Doctor Jovago. Let's go
- 2:41Speaker 1: to Norman in Long Island. Norman, how you doing?
- 2:45Speaker 4: Hi?
- 2:45Speaker 3: Hi?
- 2:45Speaker 4: Of course for you Mark.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:47Speaker 4: Do you think that the conservative radio and conservative TV
- 2:51Speaker 4: stations are actually helping the communists by always showing their
- 2:55Speaker 4: campaigns but never showing the campaigns of the people that
- 2:58Speaker 4: are running against this fucking up all the oxygen the communists.
- 3:02Speaker 1: With anybody all the time, anybody voting from Donnie or
- 3:07Speaker 1: any of those not watching conservative anything. They're not watching TV,
- 3:11Speaker 1: they're not watching radio.
- 3:12Speaker 4: Yeah, but they're getting name recognition by showing their campaigns.
- 3:16Speaker 4: But we don't even know who's running against them because
- 3:19Speaker 4: they don't show much of that the Yeah.
- 3:21Speaker 1: But again against people under thirty have no contact with
- 3:25Speaker 1: conservative radio or TV. They don't see it never.
- 3:30Speaker 4: Yeah, but you know, we should really show more of
- 3:32Speaker 4: the campaigns of the people running against these guys, well,
- 3:37Speaker 4: because they're getting free advertising.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the you know, the conservative candidates. Bruce Blakeman
- 3:42Speaker 1: certainly ass that scene everywhere he was. He was even
- 3:44Speaker 1: on CNN the other day with Caitlin Collins. I give
- 3:48Speaker 1: him credit. He's a brave guy with that crazy Caitlin Collins.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Let's go to Vincent in Brooklyn. Vincent, how you doing.
- 3:55Speaker 2: Good morning, Mark, Good morning, Mara, Good call Mark. For
- 3:58Speaker 2: the same reasons that the city helped cause the housing
- 4:04Speaker 2: crisis and the destruction that was the South Bronx in
- 4:08Speaker 2: the late sixties in the early seventies, because all everything
- 4:13Speaker 2: rented before them was rent controlled and the landlords couldn't
- 4:18Speaker 2: keep up with the upgrades, the upgrading and plumbing, the
- 4:22Speaker 2: upgrading and the electricity, the same thing is going to
- 4:25Speaker 2: start to happen because Mondami's cronies on the rent guideline
- 4:30Speaker 2: board didn't allow a one or the first time a
- 4:34Speaker 2: two year increase back then, Mark, the landlords went the
- 4:39Speaker 2: city did that in the late sixties, early seventies, you
- 4:44Speaker 2: had up to seven years you could be in arrears
- 4:48Speaker 2: on your property taxes. So the landlords they could not
- 4:53Speaker 2: turn over anything, so they ran the properties into the ground,
- 4:57Speaker 2: collected rents and didn't pay out the property taxes. In
- 5:01Speaker 2: the water. Now they moved up to three years. Mark,
- 5:06Speaker 2: people of pulling their buildings off the market. They want
- 5:10Speaker 2: to have nothing to do with this, Mark. I get
- 5:14Speaker 2: off it, rent controlled, rent stabilized buildings every day. And
- 5:20Speaker 2: I said to you last week, why do I want
- 5:23Speaker 2: to be partners with the City of New York. I
- 5:26Speaker 2: hope a big real estate organization like you know, the
- 5:30Speaker 2: big ones. I hope they bring this case to court
- 5:33Speaker 2: because this has been the cost.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Vincent, we only got like a minute. Let me ask
- 5:37Speaker 1: you a question. You're a landlord, you own apartment buildings. Yeah,
- 5:39Speaker 1: what if they did I know, But what if they
- 5:42Speaker 1: did a thing where they just motivated you guys, Like
- 5:44Speaker 1: I said, any improvements you make you can deduct from
- 5:46Speaker 1: your property tax, will lower your property tax if you
- 5:49Speaker 1: make improvements. Would that way?
- 5:50Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, especially since now a lot of the buildings
- 5:55Speaker 2: they want to have them wired internally so that they're smart,
- 5:59Speaker 2: build old things, put the latest. Yeah, Mark, that's one
- 6:03Speaker 2: hundred percent on the money. And what they also got
- 6:07Speaker 2: to do is make housing court fair for the landlords.
- 6:11Speaker 2: You have these bombs and I've experienced it where they're
- 6:16Speaker 2: not paying you rent for two years, they go to court,
- 6:19Speaker 2: they get a liberal judge, a liberal judge gives them
- 6:21Speaker 2: an extension, an extension and extension. The ACLU is paying
- 6:27Speaker 2: for the derelic tenants legal fees. Meanwhile the landlord is
- 6:33Speaker 2: out a quarter of a million dollars and still didn't
- 6:35Speaker 2: get a verdict on their properties.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Yeah, no, that's that's never going to happen. But it's
- 6:41Speaker 1: a good idea. But thanks for calling, great call, Vincent. Hey,
- 6:44Speaker 1: when we come back, the great New York Post columist
- 6:47Speaker 1: Steve Cuzo. He's the expert on real estate in New York,
- 6:50Speaker 1: on restaurants in New York. But we'll talk to him
- 6:53Speaker 1: about how's New York doing, how's the apartment market, the
- 6:55Speaker 1: housing market, are people moving in or moving out? What
- 6:58Speaker 1: are the real numbers? And we'll get to all the
- 7:00Speaker 1: latest from him next on seven ten wor
