- 0:08SPEAKER_01: We used to do amazing things.
- 0:11SPEAKER_01: We once were a Christian nation.
- 0:15SPEAKER_01: Who are we as Americans?
- 0:19SPEAKER_01: Most people don't really care about legacy anymore, nor do they care about what they leave behind.
- 0:25SPEAKER_01: They sadly only care about what they get in this life.
- 0:29SPEAKER_01: This didn't used to be the case for our young nation.
- 0:33SPEAKER_01: This is not the land of the pilgrim's pride, the land where our fathers died, and the land of the Puritans.
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: Great men like George Whitfield that sparked the Great Awakening that spread across these young lands before our birth?
- 0:50SPEAKER_01: Are we not a nation of the Ten Commandments?
- 0:53SPEAKER_01: The Ten Commandments that were slathered over every state constitution?
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: We once believed that anyone that held political office, they had to have a statement of faith in Jesus Christ.
- 1:07SPEAKER_01: We pledged our lives and our sacred honor, did we not?
- 1:11SPEAKER_01: Are we just going to forget everything that made us who we are?
- 1:15SPEAKER_01: Are we going to allow Marxism and feminism to poison our tree of liberty?
- 1:20SPEAKER_01: To allow these ideologies to aid away at the very core that makes us Americans?
- 1:26SPEAKER_01: We fought the largest army at the time of our birth as a nation.
- 1:30SPEAKER_01: The Redcoats outnumbered us three to one, and the colonies had to unite as one or all fall separately.
- 1:40SPEAKER_01: These were our ancestors.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: They were the ones who won the only successful revolution.
- 1:46SPEAKER_01: The men of honor that cried out with flimsy courage that sparked a revolution to take on one of the largest armies of its time.
- 1:54SPEAKER_01: Give me liberty or give me death?
- 1:57SPEAKER_01: Where is the wisdom of leadership of Patrick Henry, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin?
- 2:03SPEAKER_01: The brave patriot's blood and souls that were laid upon the altar of freedom at such a high sacrifice on such crowns at Lexington Conquered and Valley Forge?
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: Where is the blood of our ancestors?
- 2:17SPEAKER_01: Where is the spark of patriotism that we all recognize and cherish?
- 2:21SPEAKER_01: Where is the courage of our forefathers?
- 2:24SPEAKER_01: The same blood that flows in our veins, that pumps our hearts day after day?
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: Have we forgotten everything that we have fought for?
- 2:32SPEAKER_01: Have we not realized that our time is running out?
- 2:36SPEAKER_01: That our nation is still young and fragile?
- 2:38SPEAKER_01: And just because we want to have someone in the office that we adore or love does not mean that we are safe as a nation.
- 2:53SPEAKER_01: Everybody, welcome to the Goon Tavern.
- 3:30SPEAKER_01: I hope you're doing well.
- 3:32SPEAKER_01: I'm your host, G McKeever.
- 3:34SPEAKER_01: I am the Goon, and welcome to the Goon Tavern.
- 3:38SPEAKER_01: Happy two hundred and fifty years, America.
- 3:42SPEAKER_01: That is amazing, and I am so honored to just be alive during this time.
- 3:49SPEAKER_01: And the fireworks are gone, the smoke has cleared, and the rappers that are left at rodeos and various festivals all over America, the crowds have gone home, families gathered.
- 4:07SPEAKER_01: And America has celebrated 250 years of independence.
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: Fireworks lit the sky, flags waved, and families gathered, but the celebration is over.
- 4:16SPEAKER_01: And the question remains: will America still be free another 250 years from now?
- 4:23SPEAKER_01: Liberty is never inherited permanently, but every generation must choose whether to preserve it or to surrender it.
- 4:33SPEAKER_01: And some of the things that I wanted to discuss, because this is such an amazing highlight in not only our nation's history, but I want to just also discuss, like, you know, it's something for Americans, you know, we often celebrate Independence Day, but we rarely are asking what it takes to preserve our independence.
- 4:54SPEAKER_01: Because it's been so long.
- 4:57SPEAKER_01: It really has been so long.
- 4:58SPEAKER_01: It's not that there hasn't been wars that America has fought.
- 5:02SPEAKER_01: And a lot of times, Americans, we point to those, you know, recent ones, you know, a war on terrorism or World War II or Vietnam or whatever it be.
- 5:10SPEAKER_01: But the truth is a lot of Americans, it's never come to our soil per se.
- 5:15SPEAKER_01: Uh, maybe in a way you could say that um 9-11 was uh an example of that to some extent.
- 5:22SPEAKER_01: But we really haven't had the weight of sacrifice that our forefathers had.
- 5:29SPEAKER_01: Like they laid everything on the line.
- 5:31SPEAKER_01: It's something that has not taken place for a long time.
- 5:35SPEAKER_01: And I think the question that I've been even asking myself is okay, what is it that we need to do?
- 5:43SPEAKER_01: What is it that we need to sacrifice, including myself?
- 5:48SPEAKER_01: And we know that like freedom is never self-sustaining.
- 5:53SPEAKER_01: And I think sometimes we don't even ask ourselves, well, what is freedom?
- 5:57SPEAKER_01: You know, like a lot of the American forefathers that we have believed liberty required virtue.
- 6:04SPEAKER_01: I mean, Benjamin Franklin, after the Constitutional Convention, when he was asked what form of government has been created, he said, a republic if you can keep it.
- 6:14SPEAKER_01: And I think what Dr.
- 6:15SPEAKER_01: Franklin was saying is it is up to you.
- 6:19SPEAKER_01: It is up to you whether or not what type of country you want to live in, and if you want to keep a republic, what it's gonna cost you.
- 6:29SPEAKER_01: And I think for Americans, we haven't had that ability to ask yourself, what cost are we willing to lay on the line?
- 6:36SPEAKER_01: And I know some of you are wondering, it's like, well, I don't see myself as a soldier, I don't see myself as a person to join the military.
- 6:43SPEAKER_01: And we'll get into like, you know, some examples I think would help encourage us to get off the bench.
- 6:50SPEAKER_01: You have Thomas Jefferson, we live, uh, we in America do not have government by majority.
- 6:56SPEAKER_01: We have a government by the majority who participate.
- 7:00SPEAKER_01: And I want to encourage, I think that's very key.
- 7:03SPEAKER_01: Like, we have a government by majority who participate.
- 7:06SPEAKER_01: And honestly, there's a lot of people out there that participate that I don't want them to because they're idiots.
- 7:11SPEAKER_01: I don't want to get out the vote.
- 7:13SPEAKER_01: You wanna why?
- 7:13SPEAKER_01: Because get out the vote means get the idiots out that don't care, that aren't invested.
- 7:18SPEAKER_01: They do not care.
- 7:20SPEAKER_01: There's so many people in this nation that suck the marrow out of this nation gladly, but rarely put anything down to make it better.
- 7:33SPEAKER_01: I mean, to you know, JFK, you know, like ask not what your country can do for you, but ask what you can do for your country.
- 7:40SPEAKER_01: We've come a long way from that.
- 7:42SPEAKER_01: A long way from that.
- 7:44SPEAKER_01: And that was a Democrat saying that.
- 7:47SPEAKER_01: We have basically become that we want the government to change our diapers, to feed us, to house us, to educate us.
- 7:56SPEAKER_01: And then what we don't understand, what we're really asking, is that each time we ask the government to do something, it means less liberty and less money of our hard-earned money in our pocket every single time.
- 8:09SPEAKER_01: It always comes down to that.
- 8:12SPEAKER_01: John Adams said liberty cannot be preserved without a general knowledge among the people.
- 8:18SPEAKER_01: And there's a lot of ignorant people out there.
- 8:22SPEAKER_01: I don't think that Americans are stupid, I just think they're intellectually lazy.
- 8:27SPEAKER_01: We have all the information at our fingertips right now, but yet we are probably the most clueless people when it comes to our own history, especially.
- 8:36SPEAKER_01: I'm sure you guys have seen s tons of those videos where it's a person on the street where you have it where they're asking questions about our nation, very simple questions, like who did we fight during the Revolutionary War?
- 8:47SPEAKER_01: China, Japan, I don't know.
- 8:50SPEAKER_01: And there it's just very simple history, but they don't teach history in school anymore.
- 8:56SPEAKER_01: And so what we have now is not only ignorant people, the other thing I want to hit on is another quote from John Adams is our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people.
- 9:09SPEAKER_01: It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.
- 9:13SPEAKER_01: And that's what's happened right now.
- 9:15SPEAKER_01: We're completely incompatible as a nation right now because our foundation is Christian, but the problem is our people have become debauched, wicked, completely in rebellious to what God wants for them.
- 9:29SPEAKER_01: And rights require responsibility, and every generation either strengthens or weakens the republic.
- 9:37SPEAKER_01: And I think each generation, you know, uh the generation after each generation always points to the other as they were the problem.
- 9:44SPEAKER_01: And but here's a question too: the greatest generation which goes to World War II, they created the boomers.
- 9:54SPEAKER_01: And what does that say about the greatest generation?
- 9:56SPEAKER_01: Did they really pass on the boomers?
- 9:59SPEAKER_01: Did they really pass on to the boomers the knowledge that they knew of hey, we fought a world war and we went through the depression and all this stuff?
- 10:08SPEAKER_01: And hey, here's some things that you shouldn't do, and uh don't squander your money and don't be selfish and don't, you know, no, and then that just kind of reciprocated um with each generation.
- 10:20SPEAKER_01: And I think something that needs to be considered is like you know, freedom isn't maintained by memories of past victories, it's preserved by courage and convictions of people living today.
- 10:33SPEAKER_01: But if people don't have any convictions and they don't have any courage, and we just think of like, oh yeah, that one time that we were cool, yeah, America, woohoo.
- 10:47SPEAKER_01: What does that get us in the end as Americans?
- 10:53SPEAKER_01: We obviously have it where citizens have just become lost in apathy pretty much.
- 11:01SPEAKER_01: And uh like in going to this next thing, you know, like uh Americans Christian heritage, all right?
- 11:09SPEAKER_01: Something that you know was mentioned, you know, like in the opening.
- 11:13SPEAKER_01: The 13 colonies, you had to have a declaration of faith, Protestant faith, and I think uh Maryland was the only one that was uh Catholic at the time, and that's like crazy.
- 11:25SPEAKER_01: Like we want to just try to separate, and even some pastors are doing this.
- 11:29SPEAKER_01: They try to like say, like they always want to bring up Jefferson.
- 11:32SPEAKER_01: Here's the thing about Jefferson.
- 11:33SPEAKER_01: I read a whole bio on him, okay?
- 11:34SPEAKER_01: I'm actually currently right now trying to read a bio on every US president.
- 11:38SPEAKER_01: I'm at Andrew Jackson right now.
- 11:41SPEAKER_01: Reading Jefferson, he's an amazing guy.
- 11:44SPEAKER_01: There's a lot of uh amazing things that he did, you know, and a lot of wacky things, you know, in terms of his personal life.
- 11:51SPEAKER_01: But there are times where I'm reading him and he'll sound like a full-blown Protestant, and there's other times where he sounds like a complete pagan.
- 11:59SPEAKER_01: And I don't know where he was in his life, honestly.
- 12:02SPEAKER_01: I think that a lot of times what we don't realize is that there were probably people, you know, I know that some of the signers were Masons and some of those things, but you had a majority of them were Christians, they were Protestant that signed the Declaration of Independence.
- 12:18SPEAKER_01: God was mentioned four times in, you know, our uh Declaration of Independence, okay?
- 12:24SPEAKER_01: Like the supreme creator of the universe, that's talking about Christ.
- 12:28SPEAKER_01: So I think that we tend to, we as Christians have really been fed the idea of separation into church and states, and we have adopted it.
- 12:35SPEAKER_01: We have accepted it.
- 12:36SPEAKER_01: This is who we are, this is our place.
- 12:39SPEAKER_01: Don't go on that side of the fence.
- 12:41SPEAKER_01: This is our little lawn.
- 12:43SPEAKER_01: We will keep it nicely trimmed.
- 12:45SPEAKER_01: Nobody step on the grass, please.
- 12:49SPEAKER_01: But like, here's a quote from Patrick Henry.
- 12:51SPEAKER_01: I love Patrick, he has some great quotes, by the way.
- 12:54SPEAKER_01: It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by religious, but by Christians, not on religions.
- 13:06SPEAKER_01: Okay, so that's kind of interesting to me, okay, because there's this whole war right now, pretty much, of like freedom of religion.
- 13:12SPEAKER_01: And I think it needs to be ratified.
- 13:15SPEAKER_01: I really do.
- 13:16SPEAKER_01: I think it needs to show that the idea of like freedom of religion does not mean you have the right to a freedom of religion that is basically wanting to dismantle the very foundation that makes this nation Christian.
- 13:30SPEAKER_01: We don't have a state religion.
- 13:34SPEAKER_01: That is very true.
- 13:35SPEAKER_01: That is what Jefferson was talking about.
- 13:38SPEAKER_01: And let's just clear this up.
- 13:39SPEAKER_01: Jefferson got a letter from a church that was saying, like, hey, the government is opposing these laws upon us, they're getting into our business.
- 13:48SPEAKER_01: Please, what is your thoughts on this?
- 13:50SPEAKER_01: And what does Jefferson do?
- 13:51SPEAKER_01: He writes a letter back to them.
- 13:52SPEAKER_01: He says, like, the wall of separation of church and state shall be large, or something of that magnitude.
- 13:57SPEAKER_01: I'm paraphrasing, forgive me.
- 13:59SPEAKER_01: So, what Jefferson is saying, he's not saying that religion can't have anything to do with government.
- 14:05SPEAKER_01: He's talking about the government means to stay out of the religion of the church.
- 14:08SPEAKER_01: They need to stay out of the church.
- 14:10SPEAKER_01: And what happened during COVID?
- 14:13SPEAKER_01: We allowed the government to come inside the church and tell us what to do.
- 14:17SPEAKER_01: Even though our constitutional rights were violated, the freedom of assembly and the freedom of religion, we gave in very quickly and very willingly like little sheep.
- 14:27SPEAKER_01: Wear your mask, go get the jab.
- 14:30SPEAKER_01: You can't meet up, you can't go to your father's funeral.
- 14:33SPEAKER_01: Sucks for you.
- 14:34SPEAKER_01: Sorry, no.
- 14:37SPEAKER_01: And we ate it up as Christians.
- 14:39SPEAKER_01: And then when there were some Christians that decide, like, no, we're not going to obey the governing authorities in this because scripture, this is what's so funny, too.
- 14:47SPEAKER_01: I always hear the time from pastors, they always say, like, well, Romans 13, uh, yes, follow it, uh, unless it goes against uh God's word.
- 14:55SPEAKER_01: COVID went against God's word.
- 14:57SPEAKER_01: Do not forsake the assembly of the body.
- 14:59SPEAKER_01: And of course, everyone wants to say, like, well, I'll give some grace, you know, like maybe some people didn't know what was going on in the beginning, they weren't fully aware of what was taking place.
- 15:11SPEAKER_01: Fine.
- 15:12SPEAKER_01: But after some time, when you have it where, like, hey, strip clubs are open, bars are open, but you can't go to church, the church should have given a middle finger to the government, said, Nope, we are going to go to church and worship because we have the ability to do too under the Constitution.
- 15:33SPEAKER_01: People getting arrested.
- 15:34SPEAKER_01: Do we forget so quickly like what happened during COVID, how wacky it was?
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: Hey, you can go into a restaurant and uh you have to wear your mask when you walk into the restaurant, but when you sit down, you can take your mask off.
- 15:50SPEAKER_00: Because the virus is only dangerous when you are standing.
- 15:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 15:57SPEAKER_01: That kind of stupidity.
- 15:59SPEAKER_01: Or the kind of stupidity where we're all wearing a mask thinking that's gonna help to not spread germs.
- 16:04SPEAKER_01: When if I can smell my farts through my mask, people, and I can just speak from experience, then I don't think it's stopping any virus.
- 16:13SPEAKER_01: I'm sorry.
- 16:15SPEAKER_01: All right, but it's clear from like these, you know, for what Patrick Henry is also implying, though, when he says this great nation was founded not by religious, but by Christians, not on religions.
- 16:32SPEAKER_01: What is he saying there?
- 16:33SPEAKER_01: Religions, every other religion is what it's saying, pretty much.
- 16:37SPEAKER_01: Now, granted, that might not be saying that you can't have a religion that's different than Christianity per se, but it is clearly that this is a Christian nation.
- 16:48SPEAKER_01: So why are we allowing Islam and Hinduism, all this other crazy stuff that's being erected in our nation?
- 16:56SPEAKER_01: And they're just demon gods, is what it is.
- 17:00SPEAKER_01: The I mean, the other thing is like influence of Christianity had on many institutions.
- 17:06SPEAKER_01: I mean, we tend to forget this as well.
- 17:08SPEAKER_01: Yale, Harvard, and Princeton, which are now probably the most liberal universities in the nation, they all used to be used to train clergy to become pastors.
- 17:21SPEAKER_01: It was they had seminaries at Yale, Harvard, and Princeton.
- 17:26SPEAKER_01: I don't know if they still do teach that in general.
- 17:28SPEAKER_01: I can only imagine what they're teaching.
- 17:30SPEAKER_01: Probably like, you can be a lesbian pastor.
- 17:33SPEAKER_01: God forbid.
- 17:35SPEAKER_01: But these are the things that like our origins that we just tend to just brush over and just think like they're not as important.
- 17:43SPEAKER_01: But biblical concepts like human dignity, justice, equal equality before the law, and moral accountability, they all spring from the scriptures.
- 17:53SPEAKER_01: The most quoted from all the different like founding fathers was scripture all the time.
- 17:59SPEAKER_01: It's also within our documents.
- 18:02SPEAKER_01: Now, granted, yeah, while the while the fathers held a variety of like religious beliefs, some of them that were not Christianity, I would say, Christianity itself significantly shaped American culture and many of the civic ideals.
- 18:19SPEAKER_01: And so today we have a complete opposite view of that.
- 18:24SPEAKER_01: Many churches do believe in separation of church and state, and I do not for two reasons.
- 18:30SPEAKER_01: One, I don't think it's biblical, and second, I don't think it's American.
- 18:35SPEAKER_01: Why did churches once play such an active role in communities?
- 18:39SPEAKER_01: You know, it's like you go to some of these old towns, like especially in Vermont, and you'll see the church, and then the towns kind of surrounded the church.
- 18:47SPEAKER_01: And even you'll see this in a lot of westerns.
- 18:50SPEAKER_01: The church is usually front and center of the town because that was the influence of communities back then.
- 19:00SPEAKER_01: It had an active role.
- 19:02SPEAKER_01: It wasn't just something that was just on the outskirts.
- 19:06SPEAKER_01: Hey, you go there.
- 19:07SPEAKER_01: We've changed a lot as a nation.
- 19:10SPEAKER_01: It used to be the weirdo was the one who didn't go to church back in those days.
- 19:15SPEAKER_01: And everyone looked at him like, what's your problem, dude?
- 19:18SPEAKER_01: But now today it's like if you go to church, you're the one that's weird.
- 19:22SPEAKER_01: And so the question is like, you know, how has that changed?
- 19:26SPEAKER_01: And has the church become more comfortable than courageous?
- 19:30SPEAKER_01: And I think we have.
- 19:32SPEAKER_01: We so much like Christians need to realize, like, you gotta get over this fact of be of not being liked.
- 19:39SPEAKER_01: If someone doesn't like you because of your faith, that's a good thing.
- 19:46SPEAKER_01: It's not nowhere in scripture does it say, hey, I c I've come to make you comfortable.
- 19:52SPEAKER_01: I've come to make you liked by everybody.
- 19:55SPEAKER_01: No, I think it was uh take up my cross and follow me.
- 20:00SPEAKER_01: You will be persecuted for my name's sake.
- 20:03SPEAKER_01: You will be like lambs to the slaughter.
- 20:06SPEAKER_01: You want to sign up?
- 20:07SPEAKER_01: Right now?
- 20:08SPEAKER_01: Come on.
- 20:08SPEAKER_01: I got a pizza paper right here.
- 20:10SPEAKER_01: Come on, come on, sign up right here on the dotted line.
- 20:15SPEAKER_01: We were not called to have it where us as Christians were supposed to have an easy, comfortable life.
- 20:22SPEAKER_01: We were never called to have that.
- 20:24SPEAKER_01: And America is no exception.
- 20:27SPEAKER_01: And I think what happens is we have confused being politic politically partisan with being biblically engaged.
- 20:35SPEAKER_01: Maybe that's what we have done.
- 20:37SPEAKER_01: We tend to like want to separate those two.
- 20:39SPEAKER_01: It's like, well, you know, you have your own, you have your own thing to do, okay, whatever your convention uh convictions are.
- 20:46SPEAKER_01: And I'm not saying that, hear me out too.
- 20:48SPEAKER_01: I'm not saying that pastors should uh stifle someone's convictions per se.
- 20:53SPEAKER_01: But I think the church is hungry and longing for pastors to be clear about certain things in our communities and in our culture, beyond the two topics that every pastor is willing to talk about on Sunday morning.
- 21:10SPEAKER_01: And the two that they'll talk about is gay marriage, homosexuality, and abortion.
- 21:14SPEAKER_01: Those are the only two that they will talk about.
- 21:16SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 21:17SPEAKER_01: Because they claim it's clear in scripture, which it is, of course.
- 21:22SPEAKER_01: But I think that's a problem because it's not addressing everything else in terms of the heart and guiding your flock to make wise uh wise decisions when it comes to voting, running for political office, or getting engaged in politics.
- 21:41SPEAKER_01: I think a lot of Christians believe politics is dirty.
- 21:43SPEAKER_01: You know, it's like it's in quotations like, oh, politics is dirty, it's messy.
- 21:48SPEAKER_01: Or even social media for that matter.
- 21:50SPEAKER_01: So many pastors they're either on social media and all that they want to post is like, I went to the gym today.
- 21:55SPEAKER_01: Oh, look, I got I got a doggy.
- 21:58SPEAKER_01: Oh, look, here's pictures of my family.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: And that's fine and all, but they will not once mention anything controversial, they'll never mention anything that has to do, and if it is about like God, it's usually on Easter or Christmas or something because those are neutral and it doesn't give any pushback.
- 22:15SPEAKER_01: And I think that's just cowardly.
- 22:17SPEAKER_01: Social media is the the basically the town square of our time today.
- 22:24SPEAKER_01: And if we don't engage it, as messy as it is, and I agree it is messy.
- 22:29SPEAKER_01: That doesn't mean you have to be a jerk about it.
- 22:31SPEAKER_01: That doesn't mean you have to always get in the mud and always have to fling it all the time.
- 22:35SPEAKER_01: But I think that a lot of members in churches are longing for their pastors to make a stand and draw a line in the sand.
- 22:45SPEAKER_01: But the problem is most of the time, that's be the reason why they won't do that is because that might actually make it where it becomes, oh, conservatives on this side and liberals on this side.
- 22:56SPEAKER_01: And I would say, like, then we have to ask ourselves not the idea of like, well, what party is correct?
- 23:03SPEAKER_01: The question is what leans more to our biblical worldview in the first place?
- 23:09SPEAKER_01: It's not the idea that like everyone that votes a way that's different than ours, we automatically, you know, axe them as like, well, they're not a Christian.
- 23:18SPEAKER_01: Maybe they're ignorant.
- 23:19SPEAKER_01: But once they are relieved of that ignorance, I think they have the convictions to do the right thing at that point.
- 23:25SPEAKER_01: And I don't think there should be an excuse for Christians that do that.
- 23:30SPEAKER_01: For instance, if someone was unaware about what abortion really was, which I don't know how, then, but obviously it still happens.
- 23:39SPEAKER_01: But it's clearly shown what that looks like, and they don't repent and realize, like, oh, I should stop voting for political people that support this genocide in our own nation.
- 23:53SPEAKER_01: If that doesn't render within them, I have a hard time believing they have conviction of the Holy Spirit in their heart.
- 23:59SPEAKER_01: And I think that's a fair assessment.
- 24:02SPEAKER_01: That's not uh, I think sometimes like I know like people like uh you're judging, but like, come on, like, how do you draw that conclusion that, like, well, I'm gonna vote for this person, and in so voting for him, I'm enabling this person to be put into power as a pagan representation over my community that's going to enforce a evil practice of abortion that murders children, and you can sit well with your conscience in that.
- 24:35SPEAKER_01: Come on, and I think like the difference between preaching the gospel and applying biblical principles to public life, we do this all the time.
- 24:44SPEAKER_01: How many times do we hear the pastor like your money?
- 24:48SPEAKER_01: You should be wise with your money, you should be wise with your house, use it to bless others.
- 24:54SPEAKER_01: Okay, so like I'm sorry to break it to everyone, but politics is everywhere, it is everywhere.
- 25:01SPEAKER_01: The Bible is a political book.
- 25:04SPEAKER_01: Oh gosh, no, you can't say that.
- 25:06SPEAKER_01: No, but it's true, it is, and politics affects every element of our lives.
- 25:14SPEAKER_01: You know, there's a great there's a great part when in the short uh mini-series on HBO of like John Adams, where Abigail turns to Adams and says, Like, am I not living politics when I find no sugar in the cupboard, when I can't buy pins, when I can't find certain items for the farm?
- 25:33SPEAKER_01: Am I not living politics?
- 25:35SPEAKER_01: And of course, this is during the revolution.
- 25:36SPEAKER_01: She's saying this to John Adams.
- 25:39SPEAKER_01: So when we think that the decisions in leadership do not affect our people, that is to me basically a pastor just throwing his hands up, it's like, well, that's not my problem.
- 25:51SPEAKER_01: I'm just gonna let other people deal with it, or the church can deal with it individually as if they want, but I'm not gonna get involved.
- 26:00SPEAKER_01: I'm not gonna say who you should vote for.
- 26:02SPEAKER_01: I'm not gonna say, like, hey, you should probably not vote for this uh legislation.
- 26:06SPEAKER_01: I'm not gonna do it.
- 26:07SPEAKER_01: I think that's just foolish.
- 26:10SPEAKER_01: Because now what you're doing is you're only you're gonna shepherd the whole flock on everything else but this main issue, which honestly, politics has a huge effect on our culture, our schools, how we live, how we're taxed, how our health more than we realize.
- 26:30SPEAKER_01: And that doesn't mean that the spiritual is just thrown to the wayside.
- 26:34SPEAKER_01: It just means that it is important because it is a part of our lives.
- 26:38SPEAKER_01: We are still alive right now, we're not dead.
- 26:41SPEAKER_01: So, what are we gonna do?
- 26:43SPEAKER_01: Just like not care about the legacy that we leave behind.
- 26:46SPEAKER_01: We're just gonna allow pagans pretty much to decide the fate of our nation rather than godly, righteous Christian men to lead it.
- 26:57SPEAKER_01: Here's the thing.
- 26:58SPEAKER_01: I I read this book a while ago, and it's called How the Nations Rage by Jonathan Lehman.
- 27:05SPEAKER_01: Okay, and I wanted to read this quote because there were some good things that I liked in it, to be fair.
- 27:12SPEAKER_01: Um, but there's one thing that this is where I think he kind of missed the mark, and this is on page 76 near the bottom paragraph.
- 27:21SPEAKER_01: So it says this sometimes a pastor's teaching will be a condition of church membership, as with what he teaches on Christ's resurrection.
- 27:32SPEAKER_01: Sometimes it leaves rooms for disagreement among members as with one's view on spiritual gifts.
- 27:38SPEAKER_01: Christian freedom, in quotations, is what we call those places where pastors and Christians might have biblically informed convictions, but where they agree they can disagree and still be members of the same church.
- 27:54SPEAKER_01: In places of freedom, a good pastor takes care to learn lean into the conscience consciousnesses of his members.
- 28:06SPEAKER_01: He does not try to convince them that his own view of such and such is necessarily the biblical one.
- 28:15SPEAKER_01: He leaves each person's conscience free or unpressured.
- 28:22SPEAKER_01: I'll read that lap parts.
- 28:24SPEAKER_01: He does not try to convince them that his own view of such and such is necessarily the biblical one, he leaves each person conscience free or unpressured.
- 28:36SPEAKER_01: And so this is what a lot of pastors are doing.
- 28:39SPEAKER_01: It's like, well, if your your convictions are to vote Democrat, that's up to you and God.
- 28:45SPEAKER_01: Well, if you think this way, you know, I don't want to press your conscience.
- 28:49SPEAKER_01: It's like, okay, look, how do I spell this out for you?
- 28:51SPEAKER_01: Okay, so you have a sinful world.
- 28:56SPEAKER_01: You have a sinful party called the Republicans, you have a sinful party called the Democratic Party, okay?
- 29:02SPEAKER_01: Now, let's just put the Republicans aside for now because they got their own issues on different ways.
- 29:08SPEAKER_01: And it's not to say that there isn't ungodly things that they agree with.
- 29:13SPEAKER_01: The problem is, like, let's look at the stack, okay?
- 29:15SPEAKER_01: You have a party that hates God, hates the church, does not believe in free speech, wants to tax its citizens into poverty.
- 29:27SPEAKER_01: They believe in genital mutilation of young children.
- 29:32SPEAKER_01: They promote sexual debauchery at every cost in any type of sexual form known to man.
- 29:40SPEAKER_01: They promote the mutilation of children unborn to be sacrificed on the altar of Mullock again and again without any hesitation, even some supporting up to nine months.
- 29:57SPEAKER_01: And this is the party that we're like, we should just not shake our head and go, like, I don't think uh Christians should vote for this.
- 30:07SPEAKER_01: I mean, come on, I'll say it.
- 30:09SPEAKER_01: You should not vote Democrat as a Christian.
- 30:11SPEAKER_01: You shouldn't.
- 30:12SPEAKER_01: You shouldn't even want to call yourself a Democrat.
- 30:15SPEAKER_01: Be an independent, as I am, in my opinion.
- 30:18SPEAKER_01: But I know some people have convictions on why they choose a party in terms of the voting to have more influence, and I get that.
- 30:25SPEAKER_01: But come on, like, like what are you wanting to promote here?
- 30:31SPEAKER_01: How is this going to be helpful?
- 30:33SPEAKER_01: I just think Christians are not grasping the gravity of why we have taken a we have taken a back seat to this.
- 30:41SPEAKER_01: We look around and we're like, why is culture so messed up?
- 30:44SPEAKER_01: Well, gosh, they're teaching that to our kids in school.
- 30:48SPEAKER_01: Oh, that's horrible.
- 30:49SPEAKER_01: I can't believe that they're doing that.
- 30:50SPEAKER_01: That's just bad.
- 30:52SPEAKER_01: That's just bad.
- 30:53SPEAKER_01: And they for after, like, you know, watching 24 hours of Fox News and like scare tactics and you know, fear mongering or CNN or whatever, nobody stops to realize, like, yeah, maybe we actually need to do something about it.
- 31:11SPEAKER_01: You know what I honestly think?
- 31:12SPEAKER_01: I think a lot of Christians, the first thing they should do is pull their kids out of public school.
- 31:15SPEAKER_01: Get them out of there.
- 31:18SPEAKER_01: Seriously.
- 31:19SPEAKER_01: Your kids are not missionaries, okay?
- 31:22SPEAKER_01: Your kids are so young, so foolish, they are not ready to be missionaries, especially when their minds are vulnerable.
- 31:33SPEAKER_01: Why would you basically hand them over to wolves?
- 31:36SPEAKER_01: How is that loving as a parent?
- 31:39SPEAKER_01: Let's just grasp this right now.
- 31:40SPEAKER_01: We know, and we have the results, okay, of kids and what they think about their country, what they think about religion.
- 31:47SPEAKER_01: And we all wonder why they leave the church once they graduate.
- 31:52SPEAKER_01: Because you put them through a Marxist grinder hate religion entity called public school for the last years and years, from their little sprout age to graduation, and we wonder why they don't want to have anything to do with their faith anymore.
- 32:10SPEAKER_01: And then on top of it, then we send them to college so they can even get more grounded into Marxism and liberal way of thinking to hate God and challenge their faith.
- 32:21SPEAKER_01: And somehow we just like are so shocked.
- 32:23SPEAKER_00: Well, I just don't understand why Johnny just doesn't want to go to church anymore and why he finds he says he finds it boring and that he doesn't believe in it anymore.
- 32:34SPEAKER_01: Who's teaching your kids?
- 32:37SPEAKER_01: Who is having more influence over your kids?
- 32:39SPEAKER_01: Parents, for God's sakes, I know it's difficult.
- 32:43SPEAKER_01: I know you got a lot on your plate, but if you don't start and ask yourself the question, who is teaching your kids and who is influencing your kids the most, especially during their most vulnerable time of when they're that young, if you don't take considering consideration of that, it's neglect as a parent.
- 33:04SPEAKER_01: You are subcontracting out your kid to people that hate your children, want them to be transgender, want them to accept the idea that America sucks, that Christianity is false, that it's oppressive, it's hateful.
- 33:21SPEAKER_01: And then we wonder why.
- 33:24SPEAKER_01: Get your kids out of public school, get them out as soon as you can.
- 33:30SPEAKER_01: That would be a great start.
- 33:31SPEAKER_01: If everyone figured out a way to get their kid out of public school, do it at all cost.
- 33:38SPEAKER_01: Sacrifice.
- 33:40SPEAKER_01: We go back to our forefathers, okay?
- 33:42SPEAKER_01: They sacrificed because they cared about the values and ethics that they held so dear that they died for it.
- 33:50SPEAKER_01: What are you gonna do for your family?
- 33:52SPEAKER_01: It might mean, yeah, you get a smaller house so that you can afford to put them in a school that's gonna be better or to homeschool them.
- 33:59SPEAKER_01: It might be that, yeah, you move somewhere where it's actually cheaper so that you can actually have it where your wife stays home rather than have to work.
- 34:07SPEAKER_01: And I have my own issues with that as well.
- 34:12SPEAKER_01: But seriously, I want to challenge the listeners right now.
- 34:15SPEAKER_01: Salt only works when it is outside the salt shaker.
- 34:20SPEAKER_01: I hear all the time like, we're supposed to be salt in my if you're supposed to be outside the salt shaker and you just keep the flavor all inside the walls of the church and you don't go out and execute to engage the culture, especially when it comes to politics, you're gonna get exactly what you deserve.
- 34:40SPEAKER_01: And that is why America is the way it is.
- 34:42SPEAKER_01: We were passive passive aggressive when it came to Roe versus Wade.
- 34:46SPEAKER_01: We were passive aggressive when it came to same-sex marriage.
- 34:49SPEAKER_01: There was some rallying, but after it happened, we all threw our hands up in the air and we're like, well, it's just the way it is.
- 34:55SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I know.
- 34:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's just all going to hell in a handbasket.
- 34:59SPEAKER_00: Oh well, just let it go.
- 35:01SPEAKER_00: God's gonna work it all out in the end.
- 35:03SPEAKER_00: We're just gonna wait for Jesus to return.
- 35:04SPEAKER_01: I'm so sick and tired of the end times bull crap.
- 35:07SPEAKER_01: I'm sorry.
- 35:08SPEAKER_01: I'm sorry.
- 35:10SPEAKER_01: I really am.
- 35:11SPEAKER_01: I know that's uh kind of harsh to my uh what are they called?
- 35:15SPEAKER_01: Uh pre-mill people.
- 35:17SPEAKER_01: But seriously, be ready for Christ.
- 35:19SPEAKER_01: Who cares when he comes back?
- 35:22SPEAKER_01: Be ready and get stuff done.
- 35:25SPEAKER_01: Do you not care?
- 35:26SPEAKER_01: Uh it's like this idea like, well, is America not worth saving?
- 35:30SPEAKER_01: Is it not?
- 35:31SPEAKER_01: In the sense of like, you know, it's not this like idea of utopia.
- 35:35SPEAKER_01: It's the idea of like, don't you want a better future for your kids?
- 35:39SPEAKER_01: Do you not want to have it where they have a business or a home that that's like, yeah, this is my great-great-grandfather lived in this house, and we've lived in this house ever since.
- 35:49SPEAKER_01: That type of legacy that you carry on, or are you just waiting to take the elevator out of here?
- 35:58SPEAKER_01: You gotta instill in your kids a foundation that is greater.
- 36:02SPEAKER_01: I don't care.
- 36:02SPEAKER_01: Gosh, I see this all the time, too, where people are like, well, Johnny didn't feel like going to church today, so he's a minor.
- 36:10SPEAKER_01: Your kids go to church as long as they live in your house, period.
- 36:16SPEAKER_01: That's showing authority as a parent.
- 36:18SPEAKER_01: And to not do so is not loving and sinful.
- 36:21SPEAKER_01: I'm sorry.
- 36:22SPEAKER_01: And I would even go as far as like to have your kids go to public school when you have other options that are available and you're not willing to take the sacrifice for, and you're allowing them to basically be trained by people that hate your children, that hate God, that to me is neglect and sinful also.
- 36:41SPEAKER_01: It's not gonna help anyone.
- 36:44SPEAKER_01: But we don't want to do the hard work that is ahead of us, we just want to complain about it, and then act all shocked when our kids don't want to have anything to do with Christianity anymore.
- 36:58SPEAKER_01: Salt only works when it's outside the salt shaker.
- 37:03SPEAKER_01: And the thing is, like, you know, with Christian nationalism that people don't understand is they don't ask the right questions.
- 37:12SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 37:14SPEAKER_01: And here are some like simple things, all right?
- 37:16SPEAKER_01: Rather than get into because to explain Christian nationalism, it seems like it takes forever, but this is something.
- 37:21SPEAKER_01: Should Christians influence culture?
- 37:23SPEAKER_01: Everyone say, uh, yeah, okay.
- 37:25SPEAKER_01: Should Christians run for office?
- 37:26SPEAKER_01: Yes, they should.
- 37:28SPEAKER_01: Should Christians vote according to biblical convictions?
- 37:31SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 37:34SPEAKER_01: So somebody asked, like, you know, where is the line between faithful civic participation and confusing the mission of the church with the mission of the state?
- 37:44SPEAKER_01: I would say they're linked because I believe that Christianity is what's best for the world.
- 37:50SPEAKER_01: And why would I not apply that?
- 37:52SPEAKER_01: Because Christianity, what is Christianity?
- 37:54SPEAKER_01: Well, Christianity is the gospel of people and believers that believe in the gospel that Christ is what's best for the world.
- 38:03SPEAKER_01: It's what changes the heart, it is what gives strong convictions where there wasn't any at the time.
- 38:09SPEAKER_01: It's once you believe the gospel that you start to love the things that God loves and you start to hate the things that God hates.
- 38:16SPEAKER_01: And so I think that we just act as a church, like, well, I can't shoot gum and I can't walk at the same time, so screw it.
- 38:23SPEAKER_01: I'll just have someone else do it.
- 38:25SPEAKER_01: And then we look around and we just wonder, like, well man, why is things so crappy?
- 38:30SPEAKER_01: Gosh.
- 38:31SPEAKER_01: Why are things so crappy?
- 38:35SPEAKER_01: And we act all shocked about the shootings.
- 38:38SPEAKER_01: We act all shocked, you know, like, oh, that's just so terrible.
- 38:40SPEAKER_01: And then we just go back.
- 38:44SPEAKER_01: Sometimes I think we're just like Elijah.
- 38:46SPEAKER_01: We're just in this cave, hiding in our cave because it's comfortable, until we realize, like, oh, we're not the only one.
- 38:56SPEAKER_01: We gotta stop being cowards.
- 38:57SPEAKER_01: We gotta stop being cowards.
- 39:01SPEAKER_01: We gotta get off the bench.
- 39:03SPEAKER_01: Seriously.
- 39:05SPEAKER_01: If righteous people refuse to lead, leadership doesn't disappear.
- 39:11SPEAKER_01: Someone else simply fills the vacuum.
- 39:14SPEAKER_01: And that's the problem that I have is that when Christians act like, you know, even pastors that, like, well, I'm not gonna tell my I'm not gonna tell my people how to vote.
- 39:22SPEAKER_01: I'm not gonna tell my people that, you know, hey, the death cult uh democratic Marxist party uh is bad because uh hey, you know, they still love Jesus.
- 39:32SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 39:35SPEAKER_01: And of course, you know, like, you know, people want to have convictions about like who they vote for and stuff like that.
- 39:40SPEAKER_01: I get it, but you gotta realize like Jesus isn't running for office, he is king of America, whether we like it or not, Jesus is king.
- 39:49SPEAKER_01: But we gotta realize that, like, when we don't when we're not active, the enemy is always gonna be active, and they're very patient, let me tell you.
- 40:02SPEAKER_01: The liberals have been so good at playing their chess game.
- 40:07SPEAKER_01: It all started back in the 60s.
- 40:10SPEAKER_01: All the different things happened during the 60s, and what opened up there, okay?
- 40:15SPEAKER_01: We put our guard down and we allowed it to happen.
- 40:20SPEAKER_01: We got pushed over by feminism, which then destroyed the family, brought in abortion, the birth control pill, permiscuity, breaking up of families, large divorce, depressant use skyrocketed among women, domestic violence skyrocketed among women because they decided to shack up with their boyfriend rather than be in a safe, committed relationship.
- 40:43SPEAKER_01: And we don't tend to like connect the dots of like Marxism, where all the communists basically went in the education system to teach all of our kids to hate their country, to hate God.
- 40:54SPEAKER_01: And then here we are, and we're almost like, whoa, shoot, how did this happen?
- 41:01SPEAKER_01: We were not ready, we were not prepared because we weren't being active enough, and so like we have to engage more, we have to engage more, we have to vote consistently, we have to attend city council meetings, run for the school board, volunteer in local government, support constitutional principles that are gonna hold up our religious liberties.
- 41:35SPEAKER_01: And here's the thing like I get it, everyone's busy.
- 41:38SPEAKER_01: Some people don't have any time.
- 41:41SPEAKER_01: Some people might have resources or money, I don't know, but I would say this trying to do it all on your own, or like I know this is a lot to put on your shoulders, I am not saying that everyone needs to be doing the same thing because the body has different goals.
- 42:00SPEAKER_01: But I I challenge churches right now.
- 42:04SPEAKER_01: If every church that loved God and loves their country and wants what's best for their people because they know the gospel and Christianity are the answer to that, if they rallied around someone in their church that holds to those principles and said, Hey, you know, uh Jim over here, he is going to run for our city council.
- 42:27SPEAKER_01: And you know what we're gonna do, church?
- 42:30SPEAKER_01: We're gonna make signs together, we're gonna put out pamphlets, we are going to try to donate money to his count uh his campaign individually as an offering to him.
- 42:43SPEAKER_01: Doesn't mean you give away from the church, but just personally, if you have a little extra to give to his campaign, because we want to shut down the perverts in the school board or the city council that basically are promoting things that are against God's scriptures.
- 43:02SPEAKER_01: Why can that not happen?
- 43:04SPEAKER_01: What where in scripture can you tell me that God's gonna look in that like you can't do that?
- 43:08SPEAKER_00: You're de you're deflecting from the gospel.
- 43:12SPEAKER_01: No, we're not.
- 43:13SPEAKER_01: We're being active with what we hold to with our convictions.
- 43:18SPEAKER_01: It needs to be everywhere, including our politics, especially because we live here.
- 43:26SPEAKER_01: We live here.
- 43:27SPEAKER_01: If this was just like all like reversing, let's say it was like Lord of the Rings, and like the orcs were overrunning everything, and the hobbits are not voting other hobbits into office, and it's allowing the orcs to set up camp and to you know outbreed the hobbits with their evil because they just were so oblivious to what was going on outside their borders.
- 43:51SPEAKER_01: That's how I view a lot of Christians.
- 43:53SPEAKER_01: They just think everything's fine.
- 43:58SPEAKER_01: And occasionally, you know, they'll be the one.
- 44:00SPEAKER_01: Sermon, you know, on transgenderism or you know, uh like anything else that uh is easy pickings and low-hanging fruit and doesn't really get them much pushback.
- 44:12SPEAKER_01: But they're not gonna say, like, yeah, BLM's a Marxist organization.
- 44:15SPEAKER_01: Sorry, we're not gonna support it.
- 44:18SPEAKER_01: We're not gonna support racist ideology or reverse racism.
- 44:22SPEAKER_01: We're not gonna support candidates that want to basically like, you know, enslave us in taxes to the point where we can't give money to charity or help our neighbors anymore.
- 44:33SPEAKER_01: That would be a little different.
- 44:39SPEAKER_01: But uh there's a lot to be done.
- 44:43SPEAKER_01: We gotta mentor our young people as well.
- 44:46SPEAKER_01: Gosh, I mean, in youth groups, what are we teaching them?
- 44:49SPEAKER_01: Like some little fun game.
- 44:50SPEAKER_01: Woo-hoo, okay.
- 44:53SPEAKER_00: We're a youth group, it's so much fun.
- 44:55SPEAKER_00: Yay! Vacation Bible school, yay, all fun and games.
- 44:59SPEAKER_00: Okay, everybody now settle down.
- 45:00SPEAKER_00: Can you settle down for just two seconds so I can talk to you about Jesus?
- 45:04SPEAKER_01: We treat kids as stupid.
- 45:08SPEAKER_01: We don't treat them as the warriors that we need to train them up to be at a young age.
- 45:15SPEAKER_01: And we need to just speak truth and humility, even in ourselves, to realize that, hey, we're not meeting the mark.
- 45:26SPEAKER_01: And, you know, you know, America's greatest threat, you know, instead of focusing only on outside enemies, we gotta ask whether the greater gender danger is eternal and not just for our country, because I believe that's the case as well.
- 45:42SPEAKER_01: We've allowed a lot of pagan ideology, we have allowed a lot of Marxism and communist way of thinking into our nation from over-immigration.
- 45:53SPEAKER_01: And as a result, it's the same with the church.
- 45:58SPEAKER_01: We have allowed wolves into our church that have Marxist ideologies, perverted ideologies when it comes to sexuality and abortion, and where they're sympathetic to these certain things.
- 46:11SPEAKER_01: And we think that's not going to affect the body over time.
- 46:17SPEAKER_01: And you know what usually happens is that you'll have it where someone is conservative and they're the ones that get flogged because they posted something on social media that was just, oh, that was just a little too harsh.
- 46:28SPEAKER_01: You know, brother, you just can't say that.
- 46:32SPEAKER_01: And as a result, you have it then where you have it where it rots in the church and spreads like cancer.
- 46:40SPEAKER_01: And then you wonder why there's so many divorces happening.
- 46:43SPEAKER_01: You're wondering why there's so many people that are believing in things that are not biblical.
- 46:52SPEAKER_01: Because you tolerate it, because we still put a stamp of approval, like they believe in Jesus.
- 46:59SPEAKER_01: It's okay, you vote for that death call, the Democrats.
- 47:03SPEAKER_01: Oh, I know.
- 47:04SPEAKER_01: I disagree with you.
- 47:05SPEAKER_01: I don't think that's right, but I don't want to prick your conscience.
- 47:09SPEAKER_01: I think that's different than conscience.
- 47:12SPEAKER_01: I think that is basically where it's like it's it's within reason, it's a common thing to ask ourselves is what does the Democrat platform promote?
- 47:25SPEAKER_01: And because we've been stupor, pretty much, and sleeping, it's the same thing that's happening with Republicans in different ways.
- 47:34SPEAKER_01: The Republicans are just slowly like inching behind the Democrats, pretty much in movement.
- 47:40SPEAKER_01: For instance, like their platform, they're not very strong on same-sex marriage.
- 47:43SPEAKER_01: It wasn't even in there.
- 47:45SPEAKER_01: They lowered a lot of their strong language when it came to abortion.
- 47:49SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 47:51SPEAKER_01: And of course, like the this is how like you know, some pastor's singing is like, oh, see, see those Republicans, they're that look what they're doing.
- 47:58SPEAKER_01: Look what they're doing.
- 48:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they're doing it because you're not involved.
- 48:03SPEAKER_01: You're allowing basically these homosexual quote unquote conservatives to join the ranks of the GOP that have no values of our own in terms of a constitution at all, in terms of conservative values, has nothing to do with it.
- 48:19SPEAKER_01: And we've allowed it to happen.
- 48:23SPEAKER_01: And so, like, we've come so far as a country, mistakes and all, and great triumphs and great things.
- 48:35SPEAKER_01: And the thing is, like, we're focused too much on sometimes outside enemies, and if we're not careful who we let inside the church, we're screwed as well.
- 48:44SPEAKER_01: We have like civic apathy, like family breakdown, declining trust in our church leaders because they're not approaching topics that need to be discussed, such as feminism and divorce rates, especially when it comes to like how wives are more likely to divorce.
- 49:06SPEAKER_01: We'll talk about, of course, men with pornography, but we won't talk about women when it comes to their smut that they read.
- 49:14SPEAKER_01: Do we forget like who bought 50 Shades of Grey?
- 49:17SPEAKER_01: Who bought Twilight?
- 49:18SPEAKER_01: A bunch of middle-aged women were in the theater watching Twilight.
- 49:22SPEAKER_01: What a bunch of perverts.
- 49:24SPEAKER_01: Like, let's make no mistake that you know, this idea that, you know, like men are the only ones that like have this issue.
- 49:32SPEAKER_01: But the thing is, like, we're we are basically losing our moral standards, and Christians are withdrawing from public life, and they're also withdrawing from a lot of churches because pastors won't speak.
- 49:46SPEAKER_01: The war is among us.
- 49:47SPEAKER_01: You cannot have it where you have pastors that just want to think that everything's okay when it's not okay.
- 49:55SPEAKER_01: We are at war, and you need to have a leader or a church that's gonna treat culture as war because that's what this is.
- 50:04SPEAKER_01: It's a spiritual battle, it's no joke, it's not something funny.
- 50:09SPEAKER_01: And I'm sorry, a lot of pastors, I feel they honestly they just love the praise of man and they want to feel cool and they want to wear the cool outfits and the dim lights and the oh, they were so spiritual and it's all self-centered me.
- 50:24SPEAKER_01: But no pastor's gonna look people in the eye and say, Look, you need to get to work.
- 50:30SPEAKER_01: You need to sacrifice for the gospel.
- 50:35SPEAKER_01: You need to take your kids out of public school if you love them.
- 50:39SPEAKER_01: You need to have it where get involved in our culture war that is going on here.
- 50:46SPEAKER_01: We need people to witness to their neighbors, we need people that are gonna be willing to run for office.
- 51:00SPEAKER_01: Can a republic survive if its citizens no longer value the character required to sustain liberty in this nation?
- 51:11SPEAKER_01: I say the answer is no.
- 51:14SPEAKER_01: It can't.
- 51:16SPEAKER_01: And the church is dropping the ball.
- 51:20SPEAKER_01: If we care about this nation, if we care about our neighbors, if we care about the gospel, we have to stop acting as separation in church and state is a constitutional thing because it's not.
- 51:36SPEAKER_01: It isn't.
- 51:40SPEAKER_01: The government is not above Christ's church.
- 51:45SPEAKER_01: Christ is above government and the church.
- 51:50SPEAKER_01: This is his country.
- 51:54SPEAKER_01: And the reason why some might say it's like, well, you know, yeah, we might have had some Christian principles, but uh, those days are gone.
- 52:00SPEAKER_01: It's like, well, why is that?
- 52:02SPEAKER_01: What replaced it?
- 52:05SPEAKER_01: Huh?
- 52:06SPEAKER_01: Marxism?
- 52:07SPEAKER_01: Feminism?
- 52:10SPEAKER_01: Paganism?
- 52:12SPEAKER_01: Gosh, I mean, I I can't get over like how bold people are with like say satanic stuff now.
- 52:18SPEAKER_01: See cars with like the pentagram as bumper stickers, t-shirts.
- 52:23SPEAKER_01: People just aren't hiding it anymore.
- 52:26SPEAKER_01: It's time to be the light.
- 52:28SPEAKER_01: It's time to take the salt out of the salt shaker.
- 52:31SPEAKER_01: It's time to take that, you know, when you're like a kid, you know, and you had the little snails.
- 52:36SPEAKER_01: I used to do this, and you used to put the salt on them, and then they like get all shriveled up and they like become this little cesspool of ooze, you know, with salt.
- 52:44SPEAKER_01: That's what the church needs to do to evil.
- 52:48SPEAKER_01: It's time to stop being pushovers, it's time to have it where we're not going to be cowards and just be told, you stand over there, Christians.
- 52:55SPEAKER_01: You don't belong here.
- 52:57SPEAKER_01: This is our place.
- 52:58SPEAKER_01: No, no, no, to vote to quote Margaret Thatcher.
- 53:04SPEAKER_01: No, we are not going to do that anymore.
- 53:07SPEAKER_01: We are going to do what God has called us to do, and that is get involved in every aspect.
- 53:15SPEAKER_01: Now the responsibility belongs to us.
- 53:20SPEAKER_01: Are we we don't spend the next 250 years complaining about America while refusing to save it?
- 53:27SPEAKER_01: Because we know that Christianity is the answer to it.
- 53:31SPEAKER_01: And if you're a Christian, you need to pray.
- 53:34SPEAKER_01: If you're a citizen, vote.
- 53:36SPEAKER_01: If you qualify, lead.
- 53:39SPEAKER_01: If your community needs help, volunteer because they need that Christian influence.
- 53:46SPEAKER_01: Liberty survives when ordinary people accept extraordinary responsibility.
- 53:52SPEAKER_01: But the problem is we don't see that.
- 53:55SPEAKER_01: We don't see that we have a responsibility.
- 53:58SPEAKER_01: We think it's everybody else's.
- 54:00SPEAKER_01: It's just like when you're walking on the street and you see a piece of trash, you're like, eh, someone else will get it.
- 54:04SPEAKER_01: Is that not your neighborhood or is it not?
- 54:06SPEAKER_01: I pick up the trash and I throw it away.
- 54:10SPEAKER_01: I do it.
- 54:11SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 54:11SPEAKER_01: Because it's my neighborhood, it's my country, and I love it.
- 54:16SPEAKER_01: And to love so is to sacrifice for it from time to time, to ask ourselves the hard questions, what can I do?
- 54:24SPEAKER_01: And I believe the church can rally around just one person in their congregation.
- 54:29SPEAKER_01: The changes that we can have to a city council start small.
- 54:34SPEAKER_01: And then who knows?
- 54:35SPEAKER_01: Oh, wow, we have a Christian mayor that loves Jesus Christ.
- 54:38SPEAKER_01: Wow, we have a governor that said that in his speech.
- 54:43SPEAKER_01: He said the gospel in a speech.
- 54:45SPEAKER_01: Can you believe that?
- 54:45SPEAKER_01: No, I can't believe it at all.
- 54:47SPEAKER_01: That's because you think so small.
- 54:49SPEAKER_01: You don't believe that your prayers and that your action can actually have an impact on this country.
- 54:58SPEAKER_01: We don't want it to go to the wayside.
- 55:00SPEAKER_01: There's so much good that America has done, especially for the gospel.
- 55:10SPEAKER_01: And you know, our generation doesn't get to choose whether history remembers us.
- 55:16SPEAKER_01: It only gets to choose what history remembers us for.
- 55:22SPEAKER_01: And I'll tell you this, I don't want my kids and my grandkids to think like, yeah, grandpa, you know, he was fun.
- 55:29SPEAKER_01: I want them to think of like, yeah, my grandpa, he ran for office, you know, like, oh, he helped in his campaign and got them elected.
- 55:36SPEAKER_01: He spread the gospel, you know, in his community, you know, and got involved, you know.
- 55:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he stood up to the school board, you know, and went to the meetings and had his voice be heard.
- 55:46SPEAKER_01: It doesn't mean everyone's gonna run for office.
- 55:48SPEAKER_01: I get that.
- 55:52SPEAKER_01: You know, we will be remembered will we be remembered as the generation that preserved liberty or the generation that watched it slip away further and further.
- 56:09SPEAKER_01: I love this country.
- 56:11SPEAKER_01: I love America.
- 56:14SPEAKER_01: It is an amazing place, and our history is so rich and has so much amazing things that we have offered the world, and we are lost right now.
- 56:27SPEAKER_01: Our identity is lost right now, and I think the only way for us to find it again is to remember our roots, to remember why this country was started, the men, what their principles were and what they believed, and how they just explored the wilderness, bearing their children along the way for a better life because they believed in something bigger than themselves, which was God.
- 56:55SPEAKER_01: It used to be that case.
- 56:57SPEAKER_01: And I refuse to believe that can't happen again if we just applied the passion that we have and what we care about and what we love so dearly.
- 57:10SPEAKER_01: I refuse to believe that the church is it's asleep right now.
- 57:15SPEAKER_01: It needs to be woken up.
- 57:16SPEAKER_01: And whoever's listening to this, I know that you want the same thing.
- 57:20SPEAKER_01: You want to get fired up, you want to get involved.
- 57:23SPEAKER_01: But you know what?
- 57:24SPEAKER_01: Your words will mean nothing without action.
- 57:27SPEAKER_01: It just won't.
- 57:28SPEAKER_01: It'll just let you burn off some steam after listening to this and then just go back to your everyday routine.
- 57:36SPEAKER_01: But I encourage you, get a group of people like-minded, especially in your churches, get together, talk through these things, figure out a way, figure out who might be best to bring forth from your congregation that can actually have an impact on your community in some small way.
- 58:02SPEAKER_01: The fireworks are over.
- 58:05SPEAKER_01: Now it's time to get to work, church.
- 58:08SPEAKER_01: Because America needs you, and the world needs the gospel more than ever, and it needs to be applied to every element of our lives, not just when we go to church on Sunday.
- 58:25SPEAKER_01: I love you guys.
- 58:27SPEAKER_01: I want you guys to get fired up and know that this is a battle.
- 58:32SPEAKER_01: It is a war for the soul of America and the soul of its citizens.
- 58:39SPEAKER_01: And I love this country too much to just have it die and physical to nothing.
- 58:45SPEAKER_01: And I want you guys to do the same.
- 58:48SPEAKER_01: Go and fight the enemy and don't ever back down.
- 58:54SPEAKER_01: Thank you so much for tuning in.
