- 1:04[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody else is gone, Blake's in Florida, Kenny's traveling on vacation, Justin, he's got Friday night lights and everything tonight.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_00]: So Mac was kind enough to jump on here and share some reactions to last night's big win.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_00]: Because you were there.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_00]: You were at the game in the stadium just before we dive into the game itself.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_00]: Just tell everybody, let us all know, what was that atmosphere like last night?
- 1:30[SPEAKER_02]: well, it started early.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not sure if you if you saw like me posting the video going past the moon a lot.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, I did.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_02]: I had taken a half day and of course driving in.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, I got a circle the moon a lot.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I'm just curious.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it's one o'clock on a Thursday.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_02]: Like, is anybody even out of work yet?
- 1:52[SPEAKER_02]: people filled up that back a lot like it was nuts.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_02]: So for the people that don't know Cleveland municipal parking like people park there throughout the week like that lot is usually full with just people park in there and go and work.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_02]: So with it being Thursday yesterday that front lot was still full of cars you know obviously because you know people have jobs right but fans filled up that entire back lot.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_02]: So it was like when when when when me and my group walked down I want to say we were we walked down at like five o'clock.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_02]: It was full.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_02]: It was madhouse.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_02]: It was shoulder to shoulder in the Munilot.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_02]: So it took us quite a while to get to our seats.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_02]: But from what I saw, I didn't see an empty seat in the entire crowd.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_02]: Now I will give Pittsburgh this.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_02]: Their fans traveled pretty well.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_02]: So there was
- 2:48[SPEAKER_02]: you know, sprinkle that, right?
- 2:51[SPEAKER_02]: But in terms of the energy, you know, start to finish, it was just, it was a madhouse.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I don't know how else to describe it.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_02]: Like, we all talk about,
- 3:07[SPEAKER_02]: what happens when the browns are winning and they're in games that are relevant.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_02]: Now we're seeing that.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_02]: So all of these fans that have came out through the bad, through those losing seasons, right?
- 3:23[SPEAKER_02]: We're now finally like feeling validated.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_02]: And so, you know, it's, it's just really good to see.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_02]: It's good to see it, especially against the Steelers, because we all hate them, and it's, I mean, I, I feel like, because usually I have ways to describe how I'm feeling, but I'm at kind of like a loss of words for a good reason, but I'm at a loss for words because I can't describe,
- 3:54[SPEAKER_02]: what it's like to go on a three game win streak, what it's like to finally be a top of the AFC North mid season for the first time since week 10 of 2014.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know how else to describe it that the Browns are not only playing winning football, but we are leading the division.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_02]: Like I can't wrap my head around it because if you would have told us this was going to happen
- 4:22[SPEAKER_02]: with like what would have predicted this.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_02]: So it's just crazy.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: The Browns take soul control first place in the AFC north of the first time since 2014.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_00]: wild.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, just it's been so long since we've been in this position, and you know, we were talking before the show.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to have your, the Steelers fans out there saying, oh, well, you should guys won your Superbowl and all this kind of stuff.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_00]: You know what?
- 4:48[SPEAKER_00]: In years past, I kind of pissed me off when they would say that kind of stuff.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even care.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even care right now because I'm like, we're playing excellent football.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_00]: We've been waiting a long time to be this type of team.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_00]: You guys are a middling, you know, good luck.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see how you guys end up at the kind of team.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even care.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_00]: I don't care about Pittsburgh.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_00]: This is all about the Browns and like you said for fans who have just endured and suffered through the worst offense you could imagine the last couple of years and a whole lot of Kevin's defense key credit to him I mean obviously got us to the playoff a couple of times but there was just so many moments where you're like this team is stagnant there's no fight we're not physical we're soft we're getting pushed around we are aggressive
- 5:28[SPEAKER_00]: We are the bullies.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_00]: We are John and coming out almost too much.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: Like Jared Versus, you need to chill out a little bit, buddy.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_00]: You're gonna get us some flags, but I mean, we're taking it to people and I love it.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_00]: I love it.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_00]: I've waited so long to root for a team like this.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, what I really absolutely love about this team is that everyone is contributing.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_02]: I wanted to talk about that.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_02]: You know, so Dan Orlovsky puts out this clip this morning of 11 hats on the football.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I don't remember the, so it was a, I believe it was just a simple out route or something to Darnell Washington, maybe it was like a swing pass, something along those lines short yardage gain, but you see all 11, including the backside corner back run in to make the tackle.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_02]: And if that doesn't like summarize what kind of team the Browns are this year, I, I don't know what does because, you know, you have everybody just contributing, you, you know,
- 6:27[SPEAKER_02]: it isn't just your stars like Denzel Ward and Grant Delpit, you know, five different guys had a sack last night.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_02]: You have Jaleel McLaughlin, right?
- 6:38[SPEAKER_02]: You know, a guy that was on the practice squad a couple weeks ago, and he has a 30 yard scamper for a touchdown.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_02]: His only carry up the day, which is, you know, crazy.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_02]: I think we should probably have him touch the football just a little bit.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_02]: little bit more, but yeah, just a little bit more, but yeah, it's um, that's what's so cool about this team is that, you know, especially on a on a roster where you know, you're you're still having your quarterback kind of come along a little bit and we'll we'll talk about the Sean Watson later on, but it's.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_02]: you're getting just production from everyone.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_02]: You're getting the buy-in from everyone.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_02]: And a lot of people asked, okay, what is this defense gonna look like without Miles Garrett?
- 7:22[SPEAKER_02]: We're playing the best team cohesion defense that I have seen in a very, very long time because it's just, you know, everybody is flying to the football.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_02]: There is so much effort.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_02]: Like it is so, it assignments sound because, and it was a little bit,
- 7:38[SPEAKER_02]: frustrating to watch last night because it was a lot of shell defense.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_02]: They were keeping everything in front of them rightfully.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_02]: So after what Aaron Rodgers showed, you know, again, Cincinnati.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_02]: So you wanted to make sure that he wasn't going to beat you deep.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_02]: But it's like, I don't know, man.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_02]: It like, everybody was talking about how, you know, Mike Routenberg doesn't know what he's doing and he's a first time play caller.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_02]: But like, you know,
- 8:06[SPEAKER_02]: Heart-mind-fist ball is oxygen, like he's got everybody flying to the football and I just I just absolutely love it because this is a team.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_02]: It's not a bunch of superstars.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_02]: It's a team.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_02]: And that's the kind of, those are the kind of like units that win games in the national football league because you have to have a team.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't matter about superstars.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_02]: Cleveland had the greatest defensive player on their roster for the past what like seven eight years, right?
- 8:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you know, yeah, and the first year without Miles Garrett or playing team defense.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_00]: So it's just it's just so awesome to see.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_00]: it is.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, and it's there's like you said, no individual performances are out weighing the team.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_00]: It's everybody's contributing.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_00]: Every single player is doing his job to the max.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody's taken reps off.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody's, you know, shine away and all this guy needs to get his yards or this guy needs to get his sex or what have you.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, like just on the defensive side of the ball, I was looking at this, we had five sacks, we had seven TFLs, eight pass breakups, 10 quarterback hits on Aaron Rodgers last night.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_00]: He was rattled man.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_00]: He's, I don't know if you saw the clip going around, we saw it on the broadcast, where he's yelling at Mike McCarthy to get the play call in, dropping F bombs on the broadcast, and everything.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_00]: It was hilarious.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's a team that's kind of
- 9:36[SPEAKER_00]: in shambles over there in Pittsburgh, and then you look at what Cleveland's doing.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_00]: And I mean, as far as like the team break down and stuff, and we can talk about some of the things that didn't go well, obviously, too many penalties.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we're out there 14 penalties and that's just what was accepted.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_00]: We had multiple penalties declined by three penalties on defense on one play, gave up 88 yards in penalties and we lost the, well, I guess we didn't technically lose the turnover battle because we picked Rogers off on that last play, but we had some untimely turnovers, just some things that didn't go our way, best, you know, in that second half.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_00]: But this is a team now where in years past, we would sit back as brown spans and I'm sure a lot of you out there were doing it last night.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_00]: I was doing it.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_00]: I'm texting some of the guys in the group chat like we're getting freaking loose.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_00]: We're blowing it right now.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_00]: We are going to we had this game in hand.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_00]: All we had to do is not give the way we're giving it away.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's over.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_00]: This team comes back and finds a way to win when in years past we found ways to lose this is this is different man.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and you know, but then again, you know, that's the kind of mindset that Todd Munkin and Mike Root and Berg wanted for this team.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_02]: You know, to scratch and claw and you know, granted 14 penalties.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_02]: That's terrible.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_02]: That has straight up awful.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, the fact that they won despite all of the penalties just goes to show how much this team wants to win and how much that they
- 11:06[SPEAKER_02]: will do anything to achieve this kind of kind of goal.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_02]: And it's
- 11:13[SPEAKER_02]: it's good though, it's really and I know that sounds crazy because you know double digit penalties and back to back weeks, like why is that a good thing?
- 11:22[SPEAKER_02]: Because they haven't peaked yet, right?
- 11:25[SPEAKER_02]: There is still so much room to improve, but they are winning and they're winning the games that like they need to.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_02]: And now they're going to play the Jets next week, which you know, no offense to New York,
- 11:39[SPEAKER_02]: but Cleveland should be favored in that matchup.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_02]: So that's the kind of, you know, that could be a kind of get-right game in terms of the operation.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, it's the finding the way to win.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that's what makes you between a 500 team and a team that's going to be able to contend for the playoffs.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_02]: So it's going to be interesting here to see if they can write the ship and make that jump.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, don't give it wrong.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_02]: 3 and 1 right now is great.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_02]: When in the division games is great, but they do have to clean this up or they won't be a serious contender.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_02]: Again, it's week four and they're still finding a way to win despite everything that, you know, Todd Munkin says Browns hurting Browns, right.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_02]: And they're still finding a way to win.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_02]: Like it's it's insane, but it's great to see.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the three and one start, like you said, gives you a nice foundation and nice buffer as you still try to figure things out because it says this is a very good team.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_00]: But if we start out one in three on the flip side as we're figuring out, we start winning games later in the season.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe we're already too far out of that contention, but this gives us that nice foundation.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_00]: We do have a lot of things to work on, but man is this team ever bought in, scrappy.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_00]: They just fight.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_00]: They fight the defense as nasty.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_00]: We had some really good defenses with gym shorts, but this one's way more fun to watch, in my opinion.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_00]: But the way the game started,
- 13:10[SPEAKER_00]: The typical, we get the ball first, three and out.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_00]: That seems to have been the case every game so far that we've gotten the ball first.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_00]: There's like three and out, the script of stuff just doesn't seem to be working early in the games.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_00]: Then Pittsburgh goes on a 17 play drive.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_00]: It's up almost 10 minutes of the first quarter.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we barely had the ball at all on the first quarter.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_00]: They go down in score.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, OK, I wasn't feeling too great at that point because it felt like they were just kind of taking control of the game.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_00]: And then Denzel Ward picks off Aaron Rodgers and from that point on in the second quarter, it was punch him in the mouth.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_00]: You know, we go down, we score the touchdown, make them punt, go down, score another touch.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_00]: We get the big play from Watson to Denzel Boston.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_00]: And we can talk about Watson.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_00]: He was actually going down field.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_00]: I was shocked, multiple plays in a row, and accurately, in the first half, I'm like, holy crap, we're actually attacking down field.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_00]: And it's working, and it should have been, because they were down cornerbacks.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_00]: They had, they were scraping the bottom of their death, trying to fill in at their cornerbacks spot.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_00]: So it was like, yes, this makes sense.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_00]: Go attack that weakness in their secondary, but
- 14:18[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it was kind of a tale of two halves, but man, the first half was about as good as you could get in that spot last night.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, you know, it's like, in terms of how Watson played, again, you know, another good but not great and while we're talking about, you know, room for improvement, it is really good to see Deshawn Watson, you know,
- 14:50[SPEAKER_02]: Despite his struggles, still find a way to pull it out.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_02]: And I thought for as much flack as I give in this man, especially for how he is under pressure.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, profile focus when he was blitzed.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_02]: 10 for 13, 145 yards, one touchdowns here in receptions.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that's what I'm doing for the quarterback under Deras, you know, so like he had he played exactly how a vet would, you know, and again, he still got room to improve, you know, on 20 plus yards downfield, he's four for 11, 152 attached down in an interception.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_02]: Technically three for ten if you don't count, you know, the past Boston in Jacksonville late in the fourth quarter.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, again, room to improve, but like seeing that kind of play out of a veteran quarterback is very encouraging because
- 15:51[SPEAKER_02]: especially against a team like Pittsburgh.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_02]: Those are the kind of defenses that you're going to see from contending teams.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_02]: Guys that will, if they can't manufacture the pressure up front, they will blitz you.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_02]: And Deshawn at Watson showed he had the answers to the test.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_02]: So, yeah, it was really good to see, and it was also really good to see that he was spreading the ball around, right?
- 16:14[SPEAKER_02]: It wasn't just a 60-yard bomb, you know, to Denzel Boston.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_02]: He still got Casey conception going, you know, eight targets, five catches for 64 yards.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_02]: Quincy on Juckins, even though he kind of struggled to get the ground game going, he still had, you know, 43 yards receiving.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, they were getting him going in the, you know, with some of those long hand offs, so to speak, that extension of the run, you know, kind of getting the ball to him in in open space.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_02]: So, like, you know, and it's, it's the same thing, you know, with, with the defense, where you have multiple guys contributing.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_02]: It's not just one guy.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_02]: And that's,
- 16:59[SPEAKER_02]: the kind of game plan that you need to have because, you know, when you are facing these better defenses, they will key on your top guys.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_02]: So you have to have everyone else be able to contribute.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, it was very encouraging to see, because again, you know, despite all that, you know, all that stuff, they're still they're winning.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_02]: They're finding a way to, you know, drive down the field.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_02]: We want to talk about game balls.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_02]: Let's talk about Andre Schmidt.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_02]: A guy that hasn't missed since October of last year.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_02]: I knew the second that he was lining up for the kick.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, I got to take my phone out.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_02]: I know he's going to make this.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_02]: And I've seen some pretty awesome game winning field goals.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_02]: I was there in 2023 with Dustin Hoffkins hit the game.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_02]: Winner against Pittsburgh.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm like,
- 17:52[SPEAKER_02]: almost to the point to where like my my hand is beat red because I'm grasping onto the plastic chair next to me and I'm and I'm shaking because I am unsure of whether or not he was going to make it not under Smith.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_02]: I like there's there's so much just a like a
- 18:10[SPEAKER_02]: a calm that came over me to where I'm just like, I know for a fact that he was going to make this.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_02]: And when was the last time that we could ever say that I brought a Browns kicker, Phil Dawson, which was, would have been what, 2009 was his last season, something like that, yeah, the whole time pretty, pretty damn impressive for, you know, from Smitty,

- 20:21[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, Malachi, Corley, downing that one punt inside the one yard line.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, his toe.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, there was a blade of grass.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_00]: They showed it on the broadcast between his toe and the line, and then he flips it back to Daniel Thomas just to make sure, and it's like,
- 20:35[SPEAKER_00]: Those are the type of plays that we just weren't getting, you know, from our, you know, special teams, units and those other, uh, coverage teams and things like that in years past.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_00]: So everybody across the board is contributing.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you were talking about why your severs Jerry Judy came down with some critical catches last night.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_00]: I know he had to make out French kiss the ball a little bit after the first catch.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_00]: But hey, whatever, you got involved.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, that's what we need, you know, we need players that are going to make the plays when they are called upon and not make mistakes.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_00]: And he didn't, he stepped up when we needed it.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_00]: The Sean Watson to go back to him, you know, for the game, if you guys didn't see the stat line 24, 33, 268 through the air, one touchdown, one pick.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_00]: He did fumble twice.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_00]: We can talk about that.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_00]: He lost one, recovered the other.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_00]: He's got to tuck the ball.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_00]: when he's running.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_00]: He runs too much with the ball out like this, and we saw an e-fumbled a third time on that last drive whenever he got sack, luckily he was down, but the ball comes out.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, you got to tuck the ball.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to, that's going to have to happen in Jacksonville.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_00]: Luckily, we recovered, but the fumbles could turn into an issue, but in the first half, I posted this on social media last night.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't even look at the responses because I sometimes I'm like, I don't want to see what people say, but
- 21:49[SPEAKER_00]: first half I was like that's caught that's like Houston to show on Watson right there 14 or 17 181 41 rushing arts he was getting it done in the first half second half I said we're back to Cleveland Watson 10 of 16 for 79 yards and if you look at him before the final drive
- 22:10[SPEAKER_00]: He was six of 11 for 34.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_00]: That's it in the second half.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_00]: Now that final drive, you put together four or five passing for 45 yards to get us into fillable range.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_00]: So third straight game, where he gets it done in crunch time, to lead the game winning drive, actually became just the second Browns quarterback since the merger in 1970, to have three straight game winning drives.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_00]: So I didn't have that on my bingo card for 2026.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_00]: but I was not a, I was not in favor of starting to Sean Watson this year and then think he could do this.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm surprised, honestly, that this has been the outcome, but as long as we're winning games and he's able to channel it when it matters, and that's really all you can ask for, right?
- 23:00[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_02]: And he's playing veteran football, you know,
- 23:07[SPEAKER_02]: He's not like, you know, rattling off now that that 60 yard bomb to Denzo Boss, it was pretty damn impressive.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_02]: It was more probably the first time that I've seen him, absolutely drop it in the bucket and I've been asking that for weeks.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_02]: When I saw it, like, if I was like, I was like, okay, like, this is, it's, yeah, exactly.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_02]: But, you know, credit to Todd Munkin.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_02]: You know, he was given all of these and, you know, Andrew Barry deserves some credit for building this offense roster, but you know, Todd Monkin looked around and he said, all right.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_02]: So we have Casey conception, who's great after the past.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_02]: We have Denzel Boston, who will win those 50, 50 balls.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_02]: We have Harold Fannon,
- 23:51[SPEAKER_02]: who is probably the best security blanket that I've seen in a long time, in terms of Brown's tight ends.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_02]: You know, again, we talked earlier about Quintion Judkins, you know, making some plays in the passing game.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_02]: So Todd Munkin just made it very simple in terms of, okay, let's just get the ball to our guys in space.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_02]: We don't have to do anything crazy.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_02]: if it's not there, take off.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_02]: And in that formula, it has worked for Watson.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_02]: It hasn't worked for four quarters, right?
- 24:23[SPEAKER_02]: We still do need to see that, because like you said, he had a little bit of a law for the second week in a row.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't matter because you win and winning solves everything, right?
- 24:33[SPEAKER_02]: But, you know, it's, you know,
- 24:38[SPEAKER_02]: It's just really, really cool to see because of like, especially like last year, right?
- 24:45[SPEAKER_02]: Where we knew that our best wide receiver was Isaiah Bond, you know, undrafted rookie that didn't have any training camp.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_02]: You know, we had an offensive line that was just a bunch of like second and third stringers, you know, nobody could stay healthy.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_02]: Um, but, you know, Todd Munkin looked around.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_02]: He created a kind of a simple game plan.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_02]: And this is the reason why he went with Sean Watson, right?
- 25:13[SPEAKER_02]: Because he wanted that veteran guy.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_02]: He wanted a guy that has seen all of these coverages and has the answers to the test.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_02]: Because it for as much as I've criticized the Sean Watson, he's played, you know, some very smart football.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_02]: Again, he still has those walls, right?
- 25:30[SPEAKER_02]: But,
- 25:32[SPEAKER_00]: the fact that they're winning despite that is extremely impressive it is it definitely is because I mean if you just look at that stretch in the second or I'm sorry the third quarter second half there I think it was between the third going into the fourth he has
- 25:47[SPEAKER_00]: the fumble on the read option where TJ Watt punches it out.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_00]: I mean that was a good play by TJ Watt.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_00]: He baited him into that because he made it look like he was coming after the running backs of Watt and pulls a ball whenever and TJ Watt was already making his move.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_00]: He made up like I'm going to fake to the running back and I'm coming after you and it worked.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_00]: He punches the ball out.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_00]: You know, Steelers get the ball.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_00]: Next time we get the ball, he throws the interception.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_00]: It was tipped at the line.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, you know, that's very unfortunate, but that's two straight turnovers.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_00]: Then the next drive, we go down, we end up kicking the feelable, but right before the feelable, he fumbles.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_00]: You know, again, trying to run and pick up yards, falls on the fumble, luckily, so we're able to kick the feelable.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_00]: And then the drive after that is where we're just sustain the drive and we can run down this clock and he misses like wide open, Harold Fan and Jr.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_00]: It would have been an easy, I mean, freaking easy first down if he stays in bounds too, then he can take off, get more yards.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_00]: those those things could have really hurt us down the stretch.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but again, you said winning fixes everything, but it just goes to the point that we do need to start getting the consistency.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_00]: The four quarters of play doesn't have to be a lead level play, but we just can't have compounded mistakes over and over and over and expect to keep scraping out these ones.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_00]: We've been able to do it so far.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_00]: But they just have a lot of things they need to clean up.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_00]: That's fine.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_00]: It's early, young roster.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_00]: We knew there were going to be mistakes.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the penalties are frustrating.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_00]: They pissed me off.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_00]: I get so irritated.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_00]: But at the same time, I'm like, I was expecting this early in the season.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_00]: I was expecting struggles.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_00]: So they're learning.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_00]: They're young.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_00]: And they're winning while they're learning.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_00]: I think we keep saying it, but that's the most important thing.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, really, and you know, it's such a tone shift.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, like one, you know, because now it goes from none of the coaches know what they're doing.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_02]: They're way over their heads.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_02]: Ownership is involved.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_02]: all of this, all of which are valid criticisms.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_02]: I want to say that because it looked like it.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_02]: It looked bad.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_02]: And it wasn't like, you know, it wasn't like crazy detective work.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_02]: You know, to come up with the conclusions that everyone including myself was drawing.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_02]: You know, but now it's shifting to these coaches have great game plans.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_02]: Everyone's bought in the locker rooms.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it has a fire up under them, and you know, especially with a young team, the buy-in is everything.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_02]: Because like, think about it this way, and this goes out to all of the people prior to the season that wanted the Browns to take.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_02]: Look at it, look at it this way.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_02]: who has the better outlook as a rookie?
- 28:30[SPEAKER_02]: The guys this year, or the ones that were in 2017, right?
- 28:37[SPEAKER_02]: We talked about the nine, the eight or nine years with Miles Garrett, and I'm still fully convinced that his first season fractured the relationship with the team.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely, because all losing does, it just brings out the worst in your coaching, brings out the worst in your locker room, and brings out the worst in your fan base.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_02]: And, you know, eventually, the relationship became so fractured that he requested a trade.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_02]: And like, you know, when you're drafting guys,
- 29:19[SPEAKER_02]: You want the whole goal is to get for them to be good enough to get that second or third contract, right?
- 29:28[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, if you were to ask any of these rookies right now, you know, about Cleveland, what would they say?
- 29:33[SPEAKER_02]: We love their, we love these fans.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_02]: That's a great idea.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, we love them.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_02]: We love them.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_02]: Like, you know, and so, you know, this is why you want
- 29:46[SPEAKER_02]: guys to get behind their coach right and and you could just tell like take away all the stats and just tell me what your eyes are seeing and I'll tell you what what I'm seeing and what I'm seeing is guys going out there.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_02]: playing their absolute ass-off and playing for each other, and I know I keep, I've been saying this, you know, practically this entire episode, but like, it's just, it was just a great team win.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_02]: So many different guys contributing, and like that's what you need to truly win in this league.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_02]: you know, because especially when we're going to be, you know, in the hunt, you know, to reach the playoffs, like defenses are going to start king guys.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_02]: And that's what kind of makes this Todd a monk and offense so interesting is that like, because normally when when people hear the word dink and dunk, you know, we automatically associate that, you know, with a negative,
- 30:52[SPEAKER_02]: But because they have so many different weapons and different past getchers, it works because eventually somebody's gonna be wide open in space.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_02]: And that's what Sean Watson's been doing these past three weeks.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_02]: He hasn't been doing anything.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_02]: Like he's extending plays with his legs, and he's making about three or four good throws down field when he's needed to.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_02]: But a lot of these passes, he's just simply just finding the open guy
- 31:23[SPEAKER_02]: And it's been working, you know, because you can't cover everyone, you, you just, it's impossible by a defense and if they want to play man coverage, the Sean Watts is going to take off.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_02]: It which is.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_02]: just kind of crazy because I will say that's for everything negative that I've said about Sean Watson.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_02]: He really has worked his ass off, you know, rehabbing, especially after two touring killies, to still be able to run the way that he does.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_02]: Now you can tell the the quickness still isn't there and it's not fully back, but like he can still take off and go and pick up the extra yarders and it's just been working.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_02]: Like,
- 32:07[SPEAKER_02]: And again, still have stuff to improve on, but there's no, it's great to say these things after a win.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's so much easier to talk about it after a win for sure.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, one thing, moving away a little bit from like the passing game and all that stuff is the run game.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_00]: And it's been a struggle.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I'm sure you've watched film and stuff.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_00]: These are the first few games on the run game.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_00]: And I'd like to get your opinion.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_00]: on what's working, what's not, why is it such a struggle?
- 32:39[SPEAKER_00]: But one thing just looking at the basic stats from last night, you know, Quinshawn Judd can 17 carries 53 yards, just 3.1 a pop with the finally got a touchdown.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_00]: First rushing touchdown for the, oh, actually, no, Julio McLaughlin was the first rushing touchdown for the Browns this season.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_00]: But that was the first for Quinshawn this year.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_00]: I'm punching that one in from the one, but.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_00]: When I looked on PFF today, they have Quenchon Judkins with 50 yards after contact.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_00]: He only had 53 on the game.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_00]: 50 yards after contact.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_00]: So you tell me what you're seeing on the film, but the numbers suggest to me that he's just not getting the space to operate because he's getting hit.
- 33:18[SPEAKER_00]: He's creating most of his yardage after that contact.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and it's really, it, it kind of sucks because it is a little bit on Quynchon and now before everybody comes after me here, he because of how bad the end of last year went for him and because of how much the offensive line has been struggling running the football, it's created bad tendencies for Quynchon.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you know, there is a lot of times where he should be slow playing it and there is a lot of times where he has has he's having hesitancy, you know, hitting the whole.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_02]: But at the same time, you know, the offensive lines really not getting push up front, um, specifically, you know, they're down blocking on power plays right, you know, so.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_02]: Usually on the back side, you're going to have a guard polling, but the problem is is that the two front side guys that are getting the double and blocking down, they're not creating enough push.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_02]: So there's not a clean enough pull if that makes sense.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_02]: You know, we're not.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_02]: blocking well back side of, you know, zone, zone blocking schemes as well.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_02]: So like there's just a lot of stuff that needs to be cleaned up up front in terms of run blocking, but at the same time, you know, they're despite them.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_02]: you know, trying to put a square peg in a round hole, like they're, they're still somewhat producing.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_02]: You know, they're, they're saying, hey, like I know that you're probably going to stop us, but we're still going to do it anyway to keep the offense balanced.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_02]: And like that's what I really love about Todd Munkin is that he does, like he will not abandon the run.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_02]: Even when it gets ugly, he's still going to do it to keep the defense on its toes.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_02]: And that's why this passing game has been working, right?
- 35:19[SPEAKER_02]: Because he's not letting the defense dictate his play calling.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_02]: if that makes sense.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_02]: Now, of course, you want to look at a defense and say, hey, this is the look that they're giving us.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_02]: Here's the weak points.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_02]: But at the same time, he's still looking at it and saying, hey, we can't go one dimensional.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_02]: I can't put everything on the Sean Watson.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_02]: We can't just keep going to one guy here.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_02]: And that's what's helping everyone out is because instead of one guy just taking all of the load,
- 35:55[SPEAKER_02]: like we're gonna spread it out and kind of you know have the like we said earlier multiple contributors and that's why this whole thing is working but in terms of the run game you know I think it's one of those things to where and and I really hate calling out guys but you know we we have to kind of start talking about tightness Howard.
- 36:26[SPEAKER_00]: This episode is sponsored by Kaoshi.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_00]: All right, Browns Vand, you know, we've all messed around with the sports books before, right?
- 36:32[SPEAKER_00]: And let's be honest, you're always kind of playing into the house.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_00]: But with Kaoshi, it's different.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_00]: You're not betting against some sports book.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_00]: You're trading against other real world people.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_00]: There's no house trying to beat you Kaoshi just runs the marketplace.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_00]: So if you think the public is wrong and the Browns can make the playoffs in Todd Munkins first year, or Casey Concepcion, Denzel Boston, one of those guys can win offensive rookie of the year.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_00]: You can take the other side of the market and then if you're right, that's a big payout for you.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_00]: And it's not just sports either.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_00]: You can trade on other real-world stuff, interest rates, inflation, even wild weather outcomes.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_00]: It works like this.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_00]: Simple yes or no markets, your risk is capped up front and your payout is locked in.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_00]: So if you trust your takes and instincts and I know you guys do, go check out how she
- 37:16[SPEAKER_00]: Right now.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_00]: So use our link in the description or just head over to kalshi.com slash dogs, KAL, SHI.com slash dogs, DAWGS, to earn up to $500 when you trade 25.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_00]: Kalshi.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_00]: Because why shouldn't you guys get paid for being right?
- 37:35[SPEAKER_00]: We're not just starting.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody's already on that.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_02]: Now, this is different from the Jed Will situation.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_02]: You know, where Jed was pure effort and he was giving up on the play.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_02]: I will say this.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_02]: You know, Titus Howard since camp has been battling, you know, lower body injuries, specifically in the injury.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_02]: He's been in and out of practice.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know how many times.
- 37:59[SPEAKER_02]: Specifically the time where I went.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_02]: It was a Saturday practice.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_02]: Within five minutes, he already went to the facility.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm kind of thinking myself, I'm like, no, here we go, right?
- 38:13[SPEAKER_02]: But with his knee injury and again, credit to him for battling, right?
- 38:19[SPEAKER_02]: But he himself knows that he cannot move as well as he did last year in Houston.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_02]: Why is he getting fall start penalties?
- 38:30[SPEAKER_02]: Why is he lining up too deep and getting illegal formations trying to give him some little edge?
- 38:37[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_02]: He is not confident in his first step.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_02]: And if you look at a lot of run blocking, you know, so he's right tackle and he asks a step inside with that left foot.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_02]: He can't close that gap.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_02]: He cannot cut the defender off right on backside zone.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_02]: He has a very hard time, especially with that inside step in pass pro.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_02]: So again, you know, keep himself in front of the defender.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_02]: So it's going to be interesting here to see how Todd Munkin deals with this going forward because Duan Jones is healthy.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, make that a great tackle.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's seriously though.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_02]: Um, but so it's going to be interesting to see how they handle it.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_02]: Um, you know, because at what point.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_02]: does how or lose you a game.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_02]: And I know that that sounds awful, right?
- 39:34[SPEAKER_02]: Especially, you know, being three and one and we just beat a division rival we're leading the AFC North, you know, all as well, right?
- 39:40[SPEAKER_02]: But eventually, you know,
- 39:44[SPEAKER_02]: it's it's gonna come to risk right yeah it's it's going to become an issue and on the offensive line if you have one weeklink you have a bad group like you were you are only as strong as your weakest link in the offensive line and unfortunately right now that is tight as Howard and and again you know credit to him for battling through you know the injuries
- 40:12[SPEAKER_02]: when you are trying to jump this snap count as an offensive lineman.
- 40:17[SPEAKER_02]: Now, I would love for someone to show me receipts have when this has happened in the past, but I have personally never seen that in Cleveland.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_02]: I've never seen an offensive lineman looking every which way to get a competitive edge off the jump to the point to where it's just
- 40:41[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I'm kind of out of loss for words in the situation.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_02]: I really am because, you know, like, I get it.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_02]: And Todd Munkin even said this, you know, you have one, it happens, right?
- 40:54[SPEAKER_02]: You're trying to jump the snap count, you're trying to get, you know, the quickest getoff between you and the defender.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_02]: I get that, but when it's happening multiple times.
- 41:04[SPEAKER_02]: when you're getting called for illegal formation multiple times because you were too deep on the line of scrimmage, that is insane to me.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_02]: It's because a lot of people don't know this, but the rep gives you a warning on that.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, he talks to you before he throws that flag.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_02]: Like not a lot of people know this, but you know, talk to any old line buff.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_02]: They will, like the rep will tell you, hey, you're lining up too deep.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_02]: Hit the crown of his helmet has to be at the center's waist.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_02]: it's simple as turning your head, seeing if that crown of your helmet hits his belt buckle if it does not, you have to move up.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_02]: And like, if you are doing these things consistently and it is hurting the team, like, what are we doing?
- 41:57[SPEAKER_02]: At this point, if you have to do all this,
- 42:01[SPEAKER_02]: just to put yourself in a position to where you're not a liability, we got to start looking at other options, right?
- 42:08[SPEAKER_02]: Because I bet you, I bet you defense coordinators are looking at Cleveland and they are circling 71 right here and they are saying we're going to go after the student and teams have you know, Carolina did, Carolina, and embarrassed him, you know, last week and
- 42:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm not going to say, you know, TJ Watt took over the game because he didn't, but at the same time, you know, he still ended up with a sack.
- 42:40[SPEAKER_02]: You know, he still ended up with two cubic hits, right?
- 42:43[SPEAKER_02]: You know, he was still able to, you know, chase down to Sean Watson and, you know, force a fumble, right?
- 42:49[SPEAKER_00]: You almost don't want to win Sean's hand.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, it's, so, again, one of the things that I'm heavily looking at going forward is the tightest hour of situation because it's, especially with a knee injury, like I think that it would be best.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_02]: Now, I'm no doctor, right?
- 43:12[SPEAKER_02]: I never, I never went to PST school, you know, I could not tell you specifically, you know, what is wrong with his knee, but
- 43:22[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I think that it would be wise to start to Juan Jones for a few games and get, you know, and let him get healthy, you know, and get, let him get healthy because, you know, having him play through this injury, like, it's working now in their winning.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_02]: But I just don't think it's sustainable.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_00]: No, and, you know, like I was saying, I, and Juan Jones might not be better at right tackle than Titus Howard, but we know he's better at right tackle than left tackle.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_00]: We saw him as a rookie.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_00]: He held his own as a rookie filling in for Jack Hongland very well played that a nice high level that rookie season So yeah, I think that to get the one Jones in there for for a few games even if you put Titus Howard on IR for games
- 44:04[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and then you brought him off.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_00]: Just enough time, like you said, I don't know what the extent and that knee injury is how long it would take to heal what he's battling through, but time off couldn't hurt.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_00]: So it might be time, like you said, to look at that for him.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_00]: I would say, like last night, did you have more on Titus Howard before I move on?
- 44:23[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, good.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I just wanted to shout out Luke Whiplier.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_00]: Last night, you know, I saw a lot of stealer accounts like on X and stuff saying, hey, the Browns, you know, their online is banged up, they're, they've lost multiple starters.
- 44:36[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, we've lost one.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_00]: We just lost our center.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_00]: And we have a four-year veteran with starting experience, you know, taking this place at center.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_00]: And I feel like Luke Whippler did a fine job last night filling in for Elton Jenkins.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you know, they call this guy coach for a reason.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_02]: Like it's so funny.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_02]: Like his own teammates like give him, give him flack because, you know, he's he's got the answers to the test all the time.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_02]: Like he's an absolute professional.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I really liked how he played last year when he came in for Ethan Powsick, that second half of the Tennessee game.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_02]: he made him non-existent in the past rush.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_02]: Now, you know, he's not the best run blocker.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_02]: You know, he is a little bit small, but when it comes to calling the protections, he knows what he's doing.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_02]: When it comes to cutting off guys in past bro and keeping himself in front of the defender, he does, he does a great job.
- 45:40[SPEAKER_02]: For how small he is, he plants and anchors really well, against the bull rush.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_02]: And I wasn't shocked.
- 45:47[SPEAKER_02]: You know, especially looking at him last year, you know, especially in Paspros, zero sacks and only five pressures in 235 starting snaps.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_02]: That's, you know, he said, yeah, exactly.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_02]: Nothing is sneeze at so when he was, you know, when he was slated to start, I knew that it would go well in the passing game.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, you know, part of the reason why they couldn't, you know, block the run well yesterday, you know,
- 46:16[SPEAKER_02]: because he's just not, he's not a mover, you know, he's one of those guys where he will use leverage and position himself to block which works and it, you know, it worked just fine last night.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, it's going to be, it's going to be interesting going forward, especially with Elton Jenkins.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_02]: Hopefully he can get out of concussion protocol because the Browns
- 46:38[SPEAKER_02]: you know, do as much as I love Luke Whiplier, you know, they do need Jenkins back, yeah, especially to get this run game going because we keep, we keep talking about the Sean Watson, we keep talking about these wider severs, we keep talking about Harold Fannon, but they do have to be able to run the football, especially like, you know,
- 47:00[SPEAKER_02]: It's last night and, you know, the week before it's 80 degrees, it's sunny, right?
- 47:06[SPEAKER_02]: There's a little wind.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_00]: No rain, no snow.
- 47:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's socktober.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_02]: What's going to happen in about like a month when there's what's going to right yeah exactly winter is coming you know the white walkers will be out Yeah, but but yeah, it's um you know everybody knows How Cleveland is in the fall in the winter months so you know they got to get that ground game going and it all starts up front so you know We have to figure out the tightest Howard situation
- 47:40[SPEAKER_02]: And really, they have to just block better as a unit.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_02]: There's just too many open holes.
- 47:46[SPEAKER_02]: But I will say this.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_02]: You did throw this offensive line together.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_02]: These are all five brand new starters, right?
- 47:55[SPEAKER_02]: Two rookies, yeah, with two rookies, mine, yeah.
- 47:58[SPEAKER_02]: So you have,
- 48:01[SPEAKER_02]: at left tackle, you know, your top 10 overall pick, who's been playing like a top 10 overall pick, right?
- 48:07[SPEAKER_02]: You have Zion Johnson, who was top in, you know, top of the league in run blocking win rate last year.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_02]: But his whole thing is that, you know, he struggled past blocking and he had some technique issues which he has cleaned up to his credit and he's played pretty damn good.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_02]: You have Elton Jenkins who in my opinion was a top 10 past blocking center last year and if he didn't snap his leg against Philadelphia, I think he's still in green bed.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_02]: and at right guard, you have Austin Barber, which I've never felt so vindicated, right?
- 48:48[SPEAKER_02]: When we're talking about a rookie, because I remember when they picked him in the third and I go, I go, okay, like this is, this is interesting, because with his size and how he was able to move, his biggest problem was he had a tendency to grab, you know, a tendency to hold every time that he got beat in past row.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm just kind of thinking of myself, honestly.
- 49:09[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think that she's going to be...
- 49:14[SPEAKER_02]: I just didn't think that they were going to find a way to keep him on the sidelines.
- 49:19[SPEAKER_02]: He was just too good.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_02]: He's too athletic for his size.
- 49:22[SPEAKER_02]: He's too strong.
- 49:23[SPEAKER_02]: His demeanor is exactly in perfect.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm just thinking of myself was like, what happened if they had to just try my card?
- 49:29[SPEAKER_00]: That's right.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
- 49:32[SPEAKER_02]: Because with the Tevin Jenkins, I just knew, and I don't want to speak ill on his play just simply because he's been injured.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_02]: You know, via camp.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_02]: So I can't, you know, go through the film right now, but I wasn't a big fan of his last year.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_02]: And especially with him being injured, like, it was just a matter of time of someone else starting at right guard.
- 49:56[SPEAKER_02]: You know, they tried KT Leviston, he didn't stick.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_02]: You know, they were trying out other guys, you know, coming through.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_02]: And then they finally pivoted to Barber and I'm thinking to myself, I go, I think he's going to be a rock star.
- 50:10[SPEAKER_02]: And so when he's coming out here and, um, I mean, I got to look at his numbers yesterday, but he has just been absolutely lights out and it's just really impressive because especially, you know, if you, if you didn't say any names and you just said flat out, hey, the Brown's offensive line will be starting five new guys.
- 50:36[SPEAKER_02]: you're going to have two guys that their former teams didn't want to pay, and they were happy with them leaving.
- 50:44[SPEAKER_02]: And then you're going to have two rookies, one of which was a third round pick, and not even playing the position that he played in college.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_02]: And then the other one was coming off of a season ending injury.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_02]: If you took all of that into account, you probably say, OK, this isn't going to be a good offensive line.
- 51:05[SPEAKER_02]: But in terms of past bro, they've actually been playing really well.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_02]: And you know, I do find that it's crazy that Austin, Barbara, as a rookie, only gave up two pressures last night.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_02]: Two pressures, no sex against Cam Hayward against an all-pro-dehyrstacle.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_02]: Now, it can, Cam Hayward is a little bit older, right?
- 51:25[SPEAKER_02]: He's still quite a though.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_02]: He's still can run through a guy's chest.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_00]: And Barbara didn't have an issue.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_00]: go ahead, you know, you said about the guys in the line and like barber, not even playing the position you playing college, neither is Fano.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he played left tackle early in college, but most recently he's been on the right side.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_00]: So he had to make the switch back to left tackle, kind of probably relearn go back over the steps for that position and then gets thrown straight into the fire week one is the starting left tackle for the franchise and he's killing it.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, just goes to credit.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, how good of an athlete he is.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_02]: I do think that it's funny that he said in an interview.
- 52:09[SPEAKER_02]: I believe it was with Nathan Zagura, how he was talking about how you played running back in middle school.
- 52:15[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't hear like yeah yeah no so he played running back in in middle school and he admitted that he didn't really put moves on anyone.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_02]: He just tried to run people over mix and so you know moving moving to offensive line in high school and you know of course being a damn good left tackle his freshman year.
- 52:34[SPEAKER_02]: The only reason why he moved to right is because they had low move coming through and low move was a pure left
- 52:40[SPEAKER_02]: tackle and they thought that he couldn't make the transition.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_02]: So we're like, all right, you know, Spencer, you are this gifted athlete.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_02]: Let's move you over to the other side.
- 52:49[SPEAKER_02]: Now I do find this conversation funny.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_02]: And I will say this, and I'm trying to be as professional and not sound naughty, but I do find it interesting that we are talking about, you know, Spencer Fano being a very good left tackle, because there is a lot of people out there that told me, hey, when you move a guy from right to left, it is very difficult, and he will struggle.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_02]: You are not playing him in his natural position.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_02]: What are you doing?
- 53:17[SPEAKER_02]: This is the Jed Wilson epidemic all over again.
- 53:20[SPEAKER_02]: And I say, Nene, I say Nene, because when you have guys that are generational athletes, they will make it work.
- 53:28[SPEAKER_02]: Now, it took some time and practice, right?
- 53:31[SPEAKER_02]: It took him memorizing those first couple steps again, right?
- 53:37[SPEAKER_02]: It's like doing anything.
- 53:38[SPEAKER_02]: If you do a thousand reps of it,
- 53:41[SPEAKER_02]: it will become normal, it will become natural.
- 53:43[SPEAKER_02]: Right, you know, it's like a center snapping or a QB getting their five step drop, you know, the more that they do with the more comfortable that they will and credit to Todd Munkin or how he's handled Fano, because putting him up against Jared Verse every day made him better.
- 54:03[SPEAKER_02]: So he cared him.
- 54:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, like, I mean, I just can't remember
- 54:08[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, maybe outside of, you know, the obvious where, you know, it was Joe Thomas and Alex Mack and Joe Potonio, it is very impressive seeing Fino and Barbara because it's the moment is not too big for them.
- 54:22[SPEAKER_02]: Right, and and I don't I don't know if that's a credit to them or a credit to Todd Munkin and how he's prepared these guys, but you know, for how young they are, they have showed up the lights have not been too bright, not like they like, like,
- 54:40[SPEAKER_02]: So, it is really good to see these picks being validated so early on and credit to Andrew Berry, you know, a guy that was not popular in clear to years ago.
- 54:56[SPEAKER_02]: And even when he nailed the 2025 draft, everybody's looking around and they're saying, okay, like he bolstered the defense.
- 55:02[SPEAKER_02]: like when are you going to be picking a wide receiver off of you know what was man when are you going to and no offense to look whiplier but you can't exactly you know call him a hit on a draft pick right you know because he's not exactly a starter you know Duan Jones for how great he's been you know he's he's been injury prone and you know it almost kind of felt like for the past couple years injury berries been putting off the offense and just building the defense
- 55:30[SPEAKER_02]: He finally addressed the offense this year.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_02]: And you have a starting left tackle, a starting right guard.
- 55:37[SPEAKER_02]: Two damn good wide receivers.
- 55:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, you did.
- 55:40[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just a guy.
- 55:41[SPEAKER_02]: It's like a dog's ever seen dogs, dogs.
- 55:45[SPEAKER_02]: So it's just really great to see.
- 55:49[SPEAKER_02]: And again, like, and this is just the common theme.
- 55:52[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like I'm repeating myself.
- 55:55[SPEAKER_02]: But it's really good to see that despite their struggles and despite all the things that they need to work on, they're still finding a way to win and they're fighting and they don't care how they win.
- 56:08[SPEAKER_02]: And that's the biggest change between this coaching staff and Kevin Sifanski.
- 56:12[SPEAKER_02]: Kevin Sifanski had a game plan and sometimes it worked, right?
- 56:16[SPEAKER_02]: You know, two playoff appearances and a playoff win is nothing to sneeze at.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_02]: day and in day out, Todd Munkin will do whatever it takes to win.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_02]: He does not care how you do it.
- 56:28[SPEAKER_02]: He will not abandon the run.
- 56:30[SPEAKER_02]: You know, he will not like keep set in his ways.
- 56:33[SPEAKER_02]: He will throw everything at you.
- 56:35[SPEAKER_02]: He does not care what he's putting out on tape.
- 56:38[SPEAKER_02]: He will do whatever it takes to win.
- 56:42[SPEAKER_02]: And that's why we're sitting here on a Friday with the Browns being three and one.
- 56:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 56:47[SPEAKER_02]: It's all the credit to him in this coaching staff.
- 56:52[SPEAKER_00]: This episode is sponsored by Vivid Seats, Browns fans.

- 57:35[SPEAKER_00]: And it's not like we're beating the cardinals and the titans and teams that are, you know,
- 57:41[SPEAKER_00]: obviously worse than us or what you know however people might think about these teams right now early in the season you know these are good teams you know the buck I said this last week like the buck and years in Panthers are two teams that have aspirations to make the playoffs coming into this season the Steelers always that type of team so we're beating good teams even when the the chips are down and the cards aren't in our favor we're making mistakes is shooting ourselves in the foot over and over it seems like it times
- 58:05[SPEAKER_00]: But like you said, then we just find a way to win.
- 58:07[SPEAKER_00]: And I love that the game plan seems not the same.
- 58:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's not stagnant, it's not predictable.
- 58:15[SPEAKER_00]: Like last night, we start going down field.
- 58:17[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, holy crap, we haven't thrown down field all season.
- 58:20[SPEAKER_00]: And all of a sudden we're attacking downfields because that's where they can be attacked.
- 58:23[SPEAKER_00]: So we started, and it worked.
- 58:25[SPEAKER_00]: And then defensively like Mike Roonberg's never run in the same defense each week.
- 58:29[SPEAKER_00]: It feel like he's tailoring things to the opponent better than what our previous coaching staff did.
- 58:34[SPEAKER_00]: And to me, that's encouraging moving forward that they're going to keep finding the weaknesses of the opponents and going after them, uh, speaking of the rookies, you know, I know we're running out of time here, but one guy, last guy, I want to bring up big time from last night, and they know I'm making a war on defense.
- 58:50[SPEAKER_00]: Didn't play a ton of snaps on, I don't think.
- 58:52[SPEAKER_00]: You might have those numbers.
- 58:53[SPEAKER_00]: But the place that he was in, I know he had the big penalty at the end against Darnell Washington, everything.
- 58:58[SPEAKER_00]: That was a tough, that was a tough spot for him.
- 59:04[SPEAKER_00]: flashes of why he's going to be a star in the NFL.
- 59:09[SPEAKER_00]: The play specifically where he came up on DK Metcalf.
- 59:13[SPEAKER_00]: He like kind of rounded it out, cut off that route and got to the ball right at the catch point came around and punched it straight down.
- 59:21[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, that's a that's a very good play for rookie.
- 59:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, no, and I mean, like he is one of those guys that I wanted to see more of, you know, he was getting kind of slowly, which yeah, it's a lot of camp.
- 59:36[SPEAKER_00]: You know, he was hurt.
- 59:37[SPEAKER_00]: Had an injury was dealing with, so that makes sense.
- 59:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 59:40[SPEAKER_02]: And especially for a safety, you know, I think that playing safety is one of the hardest things in the NFL just simply because you're playing with so much space in front of you.
- 59:51[SPEAKER_02]: And there's so much communication, all these calls, all these adjustments that you have to do.
- 59:57[SPEAKER_02]: And especially with a player like Emmanuel Newborn, he's not just a box safety.
- 1:00:02[SPEAKER_02]: He's not just a
- 1:00:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:00:08[SPEAKER_02]: And so credit to Mike Routenberg for slowly kind of bringing him along, you know, only 36 laps last night, but you know, getting in, you know, he assisted on four tackles.
- 1:00:20[SPEAKER_02]: He was targeted three times and only came up with like one one catch.
- 1:00:24[SPEAKER_02]: Now, fortunately, that one catch, you know, was a touchdown, but two pass breakups as a rookie when you're being called upon.
- 1:00:30[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that's pretty damn impressive.
- 1:00:31[SPEAKER_02]: And he's only going to get better, right?
- 1:00:35[SPEAKER_02]: And it's, again, you know, we're talking about migrant bar running this diverse defense where everybody's, you know, everybody has multiple roles and everybody is so incredibly diverse.
- 1:00:48[SPEAKER_02]: You know, you just, you just love to see it and, and again, like, we haven't seen the best of this defense and they keep getting better every single week and it's so just awesome to see.
- 1:01:02[SPEAKER_00]: And I know you said like only 36 snaps, but this is what I've been talking about in the show the last few weeks.
- 1:01:06[SPEAKER_00]: His snap count, e-man, it's going to go up.
- 1:01:09[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to continue.
- 1:01:10[SPEAKER_00]: And we started out 14 snaps in week one, 10 in week two, then one of the 20 last week on Sunday.
- 1:01:16[SPEAKER_00]: Now up to 36, like,
- 1:01:18[SPEAKER_00]: He's being trusted with more, I think he's getting more experience and the thing is that we didn't need to thrust him into any high rep position right off the bat because we're good at safety.
- 1:01:30[SPEAKER_00]: You know Ronnie Hickman grant up it like we're okay.
- 1:01:32[SPEAKER_00]: We're okay.
- 1:01:33[SPEAKER_00]: We don't need to overutilize this kid earlier than we have to and I think they're bringing him along naturally and I I'm excited man that
- 1:01:40[SPEAKER_00]: Like we've been saying this whole time, Browns are three and one.
- 1:01:44[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's just go, go, it crack a beer, celebrate.
- 1:01:47[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, don't feel like, oh, man, this is kind of pathetic.
- 1:01:50[SPEAKER_00]: We're so excited to be, you know, you should be excited to be three and one.
- 1:01:54[SPEAKER_00]: This is awesome.
- 1:01:54[SPEAKER_00]: We don't ever get this kind of excitement.
- 1:01:57[SPEAKER_00]: And it's only going to get better.
- 1:01:59[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we're not going to win every game.
- 1:02:01[SPEAKER_00]: You know, we're not going 16 and one.
- 1:02:03[SPEAKER_00]: But we're competitive.
- 1:02:06[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to give ourselves at least a chance to win.
- 1:02:09[SPEAKER_00]: probably most games we might get you know two to score beat out by a team here and there down the ropes we do play some good teams this year and and mistakes are going to happen things are going to go bad but I think overall man like the continued growth and development of this team these players and like you said in the beginning I love that whole
- 1:02:28[SPEAKER_00]: you know, segment you did about winning and how much it matters to these young guys.
- 1:02:33[SPEAKER_00]: Because you see them out there, they're going out there for victory formation.
- 1:02:35[SPEAKER_00]: Last night in their dancing, they're jumping, they're hot like they're pumped.
- 1:02:38[SPEAKER_00]: They're so excited and that, what a way to start, you start your career.
- 1:02:42[SPEAKER_00]: Whether this is the rookie year or the second, I know last year wasn't great for the rookies, but man, this winning right now has got to be so intoxicating for these guys.
- 1:02:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and like that, that is their first impression with Cleveland, right?
- 1:02:58[SPEAKER_02]: They're seeing that, you know, even though that they're struggling and getting it done, they have 100% of the fan base right behind them.
- 1:03:07[SPEAKER_02]: And like that's so incredibly important because we talk all the time about culture and like how are we going to fix, you know, the losing culture and everything and everything is just so negative and Cleveland,
- 1:03:22[SPEAKER_02]: what happens, and I love how Todd Munkin addressed this after Jacksonville, because he said it plainly.
- 1:03:32[SPEAKER_02]: when you play good football, you don't have to worry about billing.
- 1:03:36[SPEAKER_02]: You don't have to worry about a negative reaction because at the end of the day, no matter how we feel about players individually, we want our team to win.
- 1:03:44[SPEAKER_02]: This is why we do this about the team.
- 1:03:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:03:47[SPEAKER_02]: This is why we spend our free time on podcasts and looking up film and rewatching all these plays and looking deep in the stats, because we love our football team.
- 1:04:00[SPEAKER_02]: We want to see our football team win flat out.
- 1:04:03[SPEAKER_02]: We do not care.
- 1:04:05[SPEAKER_02]: Like Cleveland has been starving for a winner for so long that now that the Browns are relevant again, like it's a drastic shift in mood compared to where we were at two months ago.
- 1:04:19[SPEAKER_02]: And it's just great to see because it's like a lot of these guys, like especially a player like Denzel, right?
- 1:04:28[SPEAKER_02]: his first two seasons, you know, non-losing seasons, despite, you know, high pressure to perform at he played well, but the rest of the team did not, you know, you're, you're talking about seven, eight and one his first year.
- 1:04:43[SPEAKER_02]: And then I believe it was six and ten the following year, you know, Freddie Kitchens in 2019.
- 1:04:50[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know,
- 1:04:52[SPEAKER_02]: All these rookies, all they know is winning and fans showing up to support, because at the end of the day, that's what we all want.
- 1:05:01[SPEAKER_02]: We want to see these wins, and now that we're seeing it, like, this is a new Cleveland, this is, you know what I mean?
- 1:05:08[SPEAKER_02]: Like, this is,
- 1:05:10[SPEAKER_02]: the type of situations that we've been begging for because I don't know how many times like we we've sat here in November and December and we're talking about draft.
- 1:05:20[SPEAKER_00]: Oh yeah and we're talking about oh well you know if we lose these next you know what yeah we can talk to somebody.
- 1:05:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah somebody going tank at thong right now what where the brown's picking.
- 1:05:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:05:35[SPEAKER_02]: And so, so if we were to talk about draft right now, people would call us idiots.
- 1:05:41[SPEAKER_00]: And racefully so.
- 1:05:42[SPEAKER_00]: You're right because, you know, the second path of the season in your past is like, okay, let's see, we need the cardinals to lose this game so we can move up, but we need to lose too.
- 1:05:52[SPEAKER_00]: You know, that's kind of the way it would go.
- 1:05:54[SPEAKER_00]: And we've just been long to be in this position where I'm watching other games saying we need this team to lose
- 1:06:03[SPEAKER_00]: We need to win.
- 1:06:04[SPEAKER_00]: They need to lose like that kind of stuff.
- 1:06:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's so much better than the tanking stuff, man.
- 1:06:08[SPEAKER_00]: Like, this is great.
- 1:06:11[SPEAKER_00]: I feel, I just feel awesome as a Brownspan.
- 1:06:14[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, like we've said a bunch of times here, been very critical.
- 1:06:19[SPEAKER_00]: of Deshawn Watts.
- 1:06:19[SPEAKER_00]: I want nothing to do with in this year because I did not believe this was possible, but he has shown that he does still have an ability to play football quarterback at a high enough level to get these wins and the biggest thing I didn't think he could do was overcome the mental hurdles of playing the position in front of the home stand.
- 1:06:37[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't think he could do that.
- 1:06:38[SPEAKER_00]: You know, he's got himself into a position with this team in this fan base right now where
- 1:06:46[SPEAKER_00]: You know, if you told me before the season started, like he's going to go out there and throw a pick and then, or a fumble and a pick, I'd be like, he's done like there.
- 1:06:52[SPEAKER_00]: They will boo him in the Lake Erie.
- 1:06:55[SPEAKER_00]: Like it shows you that this fan base can look past, like you said, individual players.
- 1:07:01[SPEAKER_00]: We may not like you to Sean, but if you're able to win for the team,
- 1:07:06[SPEAKER_00]: You know, there's no NFL team that is filled with 53 Saints on the roster.
- 1:07:10[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, we love the individual players, but I always say like, I will root for everybody who's a Brown until you give me a reason not to.
- 1:07:18[SPEAKER_00]: That's just kind of my position on it, but overall, we want the team to win their winning.
- 1:07:25[SPEAKER_00]: This is awesome.
- 1:07:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:07:27[SPEAKER_02]: And you know, it feels good to win a Super Bowl.
- 1:07:32[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 1:07:32[SPEAKER_02]: It's right.
- 1:07:33[SPEAKER_02]: That Super Bowl win last night just felt so good.
- 1:07:37[SPEAKER_02]: And you know, just to wrap up here, it was just incredibly just, oh, I just feel just so great the fact that it was Pittsburgh.
- 1:07:50[SPEAKER_02]: I feel really good, you know,
- 1:07:53[SPEAKER_02]: I, my, my heart goes out to the, you know, to the people over there in the three rivers, you know, because you, you, you, you, you got rid of the best head coach, you know, that you've had in the past decade, minecraft, decades, you know, yeah, no, and he's pretty good at Minecraft, you know, but, but,
- 1:08:14[SPEAKER_02]: You know, you bring back, you know, that that 40-year-old quarterback and, you know, despite his bad attitude, you know, they were ready to win now, right?
- 1:08:25[SPEAKER_02]: And they bring back the Pittsburgh guy to be their head coach.
- 1:08:28[SPEAKER_02]: Mike McCarthy, he's just such an offensive genius, but they just couldn't get it done in Cleveland.
- 1:08:34[SPEAKER_02]: because they can't get it done in Cleveland because this is a new Cleveland Brown's team that will take it to you when you come to our house and I just love to see it.
- 1:08:45[SPEAKER_02]: I'll be victory Friday.
- 1:08:47[SPEAKER_00]: Happy victory Friday everybody.
- 1:08:48[SPEAKER_00]: That's right.
- 1:08:49[SPEAKER_00]: I mean,
- 1:08:50[SPEAKER_00]: Could have happened to a nicer team over there in Pittsburgh going down yet again, you know, they like to tell us that, you know, we're just the browns and we suck and we're, you know, little brother and all this stuff and yet they get so butt hurt when we continue to beat them.
- 1:09:02[SPEAKER_00]: So obviously they don't really believe those things.
- 1:09:05[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but yeah, it's a new era of Cleveland Browns football, obviously Todd Monkin hats off to the coaching staff and everything they're doing developing this team, getting everybody to buy and believe and go out there and fight their asses off to win games for this fan base.
- 1:09:20[SPEAKER_00]: Mac, I appreciate you so much, man, jumping in here.
- 1:09:22[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you for doing this reaction show with me.
- 1:09:24[SPEAKER_00]: This is a ton of fun.
- 1:09:25[SPEAKER_00]: I love getting your insight on stuff, like especially just the film breakdown details that you pull away from everything.
- 1:09:32[SPEAKER_00]: And then you're obviously experienced as being an offensive lineman in the past, like, you have such a nose for that position.
- 1:09:38[SPEAKER_00]: where I feel like that really helps listeners and viewers kind of understand a little better.
- 1:09:42[SPEAKER_00]: What's going on up front in the trenches, where the problems lie, things that you wouldn't normally see if you don't know it.
- 1:09:47[SPEAKER_00]: So thank you for everything you brought here today, man.
- 1:09:51[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no man, I appreciate it and it just kind of worked out that way.
- 1:09:56[SPEAKER_02]: I knew with it being a Thursday game that I was going to be, you know, a little bit unproductive the following day, you know, between the excitement and the energy.
- 1:10:09[SPEAKER_02]: Let's just put it politely, the energy that I expelled last night.
- 1:10:13[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, it was really cool to have you reach out and, you know, I wouldn't turn
- 1:10:20[SPEAKER_02]: not on a victory Friday, not after taking it to Pittsburgh and not after a game winning 56-yard field goal by Andre Smith.
- 1:10:28[SPEAKER_00]: Gosh, it feels so good.
- 1:10:29[SPEAKER_00]: These are excellent memories we're making as Browns fans.
- 1:10:32[SPEAKER_00]: So, enjoy it everybody.
- 1:10:34[SPEAKER_00]: Happy victory Friday.
- 1:10:35[SPEAKER_00]: We'll get Mac back on the show.
- 1:10:36[SPEAKER_00]: I promised throughout the season here we've already had some conversations about getting some more details and insight on film breakdown and stuff like that.
- 1:10:43[SPEAKER_00]: So you'll be seeing Mac more as the season goes on.
- 1:10:46[SPEAKER_00]: Enjoy it, have fun, everybody.
- 1:10:48[SPEAKER_00]: If you see a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, just make sure you check on them, make sure everybody's okay.
- 1:10:52[SPEAKER_00]: Because I know there's been a lot of meltdowns out there.
- 1:10:54[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they melt to down when Miles Garrett broke the sack record, and come on.
- 1:10:58[SPEAKER_00]: But anyway, they're just a bunch of softies over there in Pittsburgh.
- 1:11:01[SPEAKER_00]: Have a great weekend everybody enjoy it.
- 1:11:03[SPEAKER_00]: We'll be back next week.
- 1:11:05[SPEAKER_00]: I got like 25 or more voicemails from you guys out there the other night.
- 1:11:09[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, we were going to play some voicemails in the show here today, Mac, but we didn't even have time.
- 1:11:13[SPEAKER_00]: So I've got a ton of voicemails.
- 1:11:15[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to try to do like a dedicated voicemail show just to get everybody's thoughts and opinions out there.
- 1:11:20[SPEAKER_00]: I'll try to do that here over the weekend.
- 1:11:21[SPEAKER_00]: There's something to do like a victory Sunday and a tight thing.
- 1:11:24[SPEAKER_00]: The theme rolling, but until I see you guys in the next one, let's go Browns, enjoy the weekend.
- 1:11:31[SPEAKER_01]: It's in our blood, it's in our bones, orange and brown, yeah, we ride for our own, like a dog pack runna, we ain't a long game day comes, get ready for the show, it's our call, it's our walk, it's our song, we stand tall, yeah, we've been here all alone, through it all the dog pounds, then it's strong, we out there, we've been here all the long, through it all the dog pounds, then it's strong, we out there, we've been here all the long, through it all the dog pounds, then it's strong, we out there, we've been here all the long, through it all the long, through it all the long, through it all the long, through it all the long, through it all the long, through it all the long, through it all the long, through it all the long, through it all the long, through it all the long, through it all the long, through it all the long, through it all the long
