- Lucas: Welcome back to Learn Spanish with Fexingo! I'm Lucas. Luna: And I'm Luna! Happy episode 50 – can you believe it? Lucas: I know, right? Fifty episodes of Spanish fun. And today I have a tiny topic that's super useful. Luna: Ooh, I'm ready. What is it? Lucas: Well, we've done body parts before – arms and legs, head and face. But today we're focusing on two very important ones: hands and feet. Luna: Ah, yes! Because we use them all the time. Lucas: Exactly. So let's start with 'hand' in Spanish. It's la mano. Luna: La mano. Lucas: Good. La mano. Luna: La mano. That's easy – it sounds like 'manual'. Lucas: Right! And 'foot' is el pie. Luna: El pie. Like 'pie' but it means foot. Lucas: Yeah, exactly. La mano and el pie. Let's practice a little. Luna, can you say 'I have a hand'? Luna: Umm... Tengo una mano? Lucas: Perfect! Tengo una mano. And 'I have a foot'? Luna: Tengo un pie. Lucas: Yes. Tengo un pie. Now, what if something hurts? For example, 'My hand hurts' – Me duele la mano. Luna: Me duele la mano. Lucas: Great. And 'My foot hurts' – Me duele el pie. Luna: Me duele el pie. Lucas: You're a natural. Let's do a tiny scene. Imagine you stubbed your toe. Luna: Oh, I hate that! Okay. So I'd say... Me duele el pie. Lucas: Yes! And that's exactly what you'd say. Now let's reverse it – I'll say it in English, you say it in Spanish. 'My hand hurts.' Luna: Me duele la mano. Lucas: Perfect. 'My foot hurts.' Luna: Me duele el pie. Lucas: You got it. Now, let's do a quick drill. I'll say a body part in English, you say it in Spanish. Hand? Luna: La mano. Lucas: Foot? Luna: El pie. Lucas: Excellent. Now let's imagine you're at the doctor. The doctor asks, '¿Qué te duele?' – what hurts? And you can say...? Luna: Me duele la mano. Or Me duele el pie. Lucas: Exactly! Very useful. Okay, let's do one more repetition. Listen and repeat after me: la mano. Luna: La mano. Lucas: El pie. Luna: El pie. Lucas: Me duele la mano. Luna: Me duele la mano. Lucas: Me duele el pie. Luna: Me duele el pie. Lucas: Wonderful. Now you can say that in Spanish. And remember, if you want to say 'my hands hurt' – that would be 'Me duelen las manos' – but we'll save plural for another day. Luna: Ooh, advanced! I'll stick with singular for now. Lucas: Smart. So today we learned la mano, el pie, Me duele la mano, Me duele el pie. Practice those, and you'll be able to tell someone what hurts. Luna: I love how practical these are. Thanks, Lucas! Lucas: You're welcome, Luna. And thank you all for joining us on episode 50. Keep practicing with Fexingo, and we'll see you next time. Luna: Nos vemos!
