- 0:34SPEAKER_01: Hey guys, welcome back, episode 46.
- 0:38SPEAKER_01: Um, today we are talking about just tips on bringing people to Jesus.
- 0:43SPEAKER_01: Um, but before I start us out, I would like to start in prayer.
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: Dear Heavenly Father, I just pray over every single listener right now.
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: Father, I just ask that you open their heart and their mind to just fill them up with your Holy Spirit, Lord, wherever they are.
- 1:00SPEAKER_01: I just pray for their safety and protection as they listen to your word, that all every other thought in their brain is just ceased, and that they only can hear you clearly, Lord, and that they don't have any um, you know, overwhelming thoughts in their own brain or the you know, none of the enemy's voice.
- 1:16SPEAKER_01: But Father, I just pray that you calm their voice, um, calm all the voices that they only hear yours, Lord.
- 1:22SPEAKER_01: And I just pray that this word, Lord, that you speak through me, and that this word that they have um something that they take away from today, something that they um change about themselves today, that that from here on today that they say, I'm I'm gonna be more like you, Jesus.
- 1:37SPEAKER_01: Amen.
- 1:39SPEAKER_01: So I really feel like this is such a missed topic.
- 1:46SPEAKER_01: Um, you know, we it's so common that we hear about the importance of bringing people to Jesus, um, you know, the importance of being a leader and you know, praying for other people, um, discipleship and discipling, you know, yes, that is such a common topic.
- 2:03SPEAKER_01: Um, and then, you know, you hear sermons about, you know, being, you know, you hear about things like being available, making sure that you're making the time to make be disciples, that you're, you know, you're you're making yourself available to talk to these people.
- 2:18SPEAKER_01: Um, but I have heard so many people say to me, um, how, you know, what do I say?
- 2:26SPEAKER_01: And so that's really what I want to talk about today, because I feel like that is what's missed topic.
- 2:30SPEAKER_01: Nobody who talks about how, you know, what you did to bring them to the Lord.
- 2:36SPEAKER_01: Obviously, yes, we prayed and you know, we let the Lord guide that, but you know, what were the tips and the things that you said when, you know, you were talking to them, right?
- 2:48SPEAKER_01: And bringing them to the Lord.
- 2:50SPEAKER_01: Um, you know, I've heard so many people be like, oh, I don't really know what to say to them, like I don't want to be awkward, like, how do I just like insert myself in a conversation or insert myself and be like, oh, Jesus loves you, you know, and and and that's true, right?
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: Um, because you do want it to be genuine, you do want it to be authentic, you do want it to come from the Lord.
- 3:08SPEAKER_01: Um, and to be honest, it it's the truth.
- 3:11SPEAKER_01: There, you know, there comes strategy in that, you know.
- 3:14SPEAKER_01: Yes, you can absolutely let the Lord like lead the conversation.
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: That all that always works, don't get me wrong.
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: Um, you can always pray about it and be like, hey, Lord, like help me find the words to say, and he 100% always will.
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: Um, but you know, I just wanted to get into today of seven, I got seven different points that I just really hope, you know, helps you shape and guide, you know, your journey with being more confident with approaching your one and you know, approaching those people that you're bringing to the Lord.
- 3:44SPEAKER_01: Um, so the first one I have is using motivating words.
- 3:48SPEAKER_01: Um, how often does somebody come up to you and unload, right?
- 3:52SPEAKER_01: Like I will say that, especially as disciples, and when we live in a when we walk in faith and we live in the light and walk in the spirit, you know, people naturally come to us, right?
- 4:03SPEAKER_01: Like how often is it that people you think about it and just people in your life, you know, tell you things that they don't tell other people, or they come to you for advice, they come to you for a prayer, they come to you for help, and you know, you're like, I don't know what to say, right?
- 4:17SPEAKER_01: And so this is really the first point is using motivating words, you know.
- 4:24SPEAKER_01: This is not a coincidence, okay?
- 4:26SPEAKER_01: Like people come to us because they because it's the Holy Spirit within us, being they're gravitating towards that, whether they know it or not.
- 4:34SPEAKER_01: Um, and we have such a beautiful opportunity here.
- 4:39SPEAKER_01: Um you know, as we use motivating words, we bring, you know, we're lifting people up.
- 4:47SPEAKER_01: We never want to enter into arguing with them.
- 4:49SPEAKER_01: It's honestly so much better to lose an argument to win a soul.
- 4:53SPEAKER_01: And it really is just better sometimes when you don't agree with somebody and you're in a conversation.
- 4:57SPEAKER_01: You know what?
- 4:57SPEAKER_01: Maybe you just we're not gonna say anything at all.
- 5:00SPEAKER_01: Um, but I want to give some few examples on what how how could you give like motivating words, you know.
- 5:05SPEAKER_01: Um, for example, maybe somebody comes to you, they're expressing burnout at their job, you know, maybe it's a coworker, they're expressing burnout, they're expressing frustration, maybe they're complaining to you, venting, all the things.
- 5:18SPEAKER_01: A simple way that we can help start bringing them to Jesus is we start motivating them, you know, and and we be like, hey, you know, I know that you're going through a lot, I know that it's hard, I understand, you know, A, B, and C is overwhelming, and you know, you want to acknowledge their feelings and not just be motivating without acknowledging their feelings because even Jesus acknowledges our feelings, right?
- 5:39SPEAKER_01: And he said, even he says, Hey, I know it's going on, uh, you know, you got a lot going on, but I'm here for you.
- 5:44SPEAKER_01: And we want to do the same when we're talking to people.
- 5:47SPEAKER_01: We want to say, Hey, like, I know this is a lot, you know, whether they lost a family member or you're talking to co-workers about you know being stressed or frustrated with something, maybe it's family family drama, maybe it's friend drama, maybe it's you know, um, something that is going on, you know, with their health, whatever the case may be.
- 6:07SPEAKER_01: We always want to acknowledge their feelings first, but then motivating them.
- 6:12SPEAKER_01: And you know, hey, I want to let you know that I'm always here for you, and you know, you can do you can do it.
- 6:20SPEAKER_01: I believe in you, you can do it because the Lord's always with you, and you know, he's always there for you when you want to come to him, whenever you're ready, whenever you, you know, are ready to to open up to him, he's there for you, he's waiting for you, he's knocking on that door, and you can do everything with him.
- 6:37SPEAKER_01: You can always do and you know, all things through Christ, right?
- 6:42SPEAKER_01: And that's just a simple way of motivating motivating them.
- 6:45SPEAKER_01: How can you motivate them?
- 6:46SPEAKER_01: Um, you know, in whatever it is.
- 6:50SPEAKER_01: Um, I'll give another example.
- 6:52SPEAKER_01: So um recently, um, at my job, there's been um a co-worker who just has been a hard time, you know.
- 6:59SPEAKER_01: There's just been I don't want to say like intentional complaining, like they they're not normally a complaining person, but lately they've been complaining, and you can definitely see they're just going through a season where life is just a lot.
- 7:11SPEAKER_01: And um, you know, and so I was I was like, you know what, let's acknowledge this.
- 7:16SPEAKER_01: I'm realizing that this is not your normal you, you're off, and I understand, you know, like acknowledging their feelings and being like, hey, but you know what?
- 7:27SPEAKER_01: We're not gonna talk, you know, let's not talk negative today.
- 7:30SPEAKER_01: Like, you know what?
- 7:31SPEAKER_01: Today's gonna be a good day.
- 7:32SPEAKER_01: We're not gonna complain because that's just gonna make it worse.
- 7:34SPEAKER_01: But what what we can do is we're gonna have a positive day, we're gonna think positive thoughts, right?
- 7:39SPEAKER_01: I will pray with you before we get the day started just to help you, you know, encourage you to, you know, think on the bright side and to just you know let rely on the Lord and really believe that the Lord's going to help you get through the day.
- 7:54SPEAKER_01: Um, you know, things like that, right?
- 7:56SPEAKER_01: You just you can think of so many different ways that you can motivate somebody, right?
- 8:00SPEAKER_01: Um, to be honest, just motivating them and sliding in, sliding that part in, sliding in, hey, I you know, you can do this with the Lord, hey, you know, you can do this, and let me pray with you, you know, you know, I want to help.
- 8:14SPEAKER_01: And just and and that really makes so much of a difference, and it's such a beautiful way to plant that seed in their heart, um, and trust that the Lord will nurture that and not just that we plant that seed, but that we pray over it later.
- 8:26SPEAKER_01: You know, if you planted that seed and you were speaking to somebody and you were really uplifting them and motivating them in a conversation that you had when you get home from work and you're on your lunch break, or you know, you get home later, whether it's a family member or friend, you're on the phone with them, whatever.
- 8:41SPEAKER_01: Whenever you have free time, don't forget to pray about them.
- 8:44SPEAKER_01: Don't just plant the seed and just walk away.
- 8:46SPEAKER_01: You know, think about a plant.
- 8:47SPEAKER_01: You know, when you plant the seed, you don't just plant the seed and walk away.
- 8:50SPEAKER_01: You've got to nurture that.
- 8:52SPEAKER_01: Um, and the biggest way that we can do that um is we pray and to pray for them and to pray for their salvation or to pray for you know breakthrough in in that season and you know, just continue to ask God um to help guide you in that relationship with them.
- 9:08SPEAKER_01: And it can um the biggest thing is ask him to open doors, ask him to give you more opportunity to minister to this person because he a hundred percent will.
- 9:20SPEAKER_01: Um, and so the second thing, my second point here today is to always speak about Jesus.
- 9:25SPEAKER_01: And I know this sounds like such a touchy subject because people are like, oh, I don't want to sound like a Jesus freak, but like, so to be honest, we should not be afraid to always speak about the Lord.
- 9:40SPEAKER_01: Um, and to be honest, there definitely is a a great way and great opportunity to talk about the Lord.
- 9:48SPEAKER_01: It doesn't have to be super pushy, you know.
- 9:50SPEAKER_01: You can be honest and genuine and authentic about it and still talk about Jesus without pushing it in their face.
- 9:57SPEAKER_01: Um, you know, just be open, you know, and and you know, let maybe it's somebody I don't know.
- 10:03SPEAKER_01: I usually I always use like the coworker reference because I feel like it's just like a situation where you're around people who like isn't within your normal like friends and family comfort zone.
- 10:13SPEAKER_01: Um, but obviously like friends and family are still equally as important.
- 10:16SPEAKER_01: But um, you know, like maybe it's a coworker or a family member that you're around a lot, um, and you know, they've been going through a season where you kind of have been motivating them.
- 10:26SPEAKER_01: Um, but it's it's it's it's you're planting the seeds, but right now you you don't think that it's working, you know, you're not seeing the fruit of it yet.
- 10:33SPEAKER_01: Um, and just speaking about Jesus, and this doesn't mean that you have to like start preaching, start giving a hole behind message, but just putting it out there and acknowledging that you that there there is Jesus, right?
- 10:49SPEAKER_01: And and so, you know, we just talk talk about your relationship with Christ.
- 10:53SPEAKER_01: Maybe you're in the room and you know, you're like, oh my gosh, like you know, last night, you know, this is just my own example of something that like I have recently used.
- 11:03SPEAKER_01: Um, oh my gosh, you know, last night, you know, my baby wasn't sleeping through the night and she was in a lot of pain.
- 11:08SPEAKER_01: Um, and I was at my wits' ends, I was really worried about her.
- 11:12SPEAKER_01: Um, and so I'm really tired today, so I'm really sorry guys if I'm off today.
- 11:16SPEAKER_01: But I do just want to praise the Lord because I prayed, you know, and I asked him and I begged him, like, please, like, let her sleep through the night, please take her pain away.
- 11:23SPEAKER_01: And the second I got done praying and um I went back in her room to go get her, she fell asleep and fell asleep through that the whole night and woke up completely fine and was in no pain.
- 11:35SPEAKER_01: And so praise the Lord for that.
- 11:36SPEAKER_01: Um, and just that simple way, like it's just a little testimony, right?
- 11:40SPEAKER_01: Like, that's such a simple way to talk about Jesus without like pushing it in their face and being like, Oh, you should love Jesus, right?
- 11:44SPEAKER_01: Like, we don't have to talk like that.
- 11:46SPEAKER_01: We can be genuine about it and just genuinely talk about um, you know, test like honestly, testimonies is the most important and most powerful way.
- 11:54SPEAKER_01: Um, the Lord says that all the time.
- 11:56SPEAKER_01: Um, and that's such an easy way to talk about Jesus frequently is you know to give give that testimony um of how what he's done in your life because for one, it it shows people that you have a relationship with Jesus, and that's so important um to model and to um you know lead by example in that is is you know just uh genuinely expressing how you have a relationship with Jesus.
- 12:26SPEAKER_01: Um, but then on top of that, it kind of you know it they start to see the the power and they start to the really you know that really is a great way to pull people to the Lord is is by showing them that testimony that He is real and that He you know does have give blessings and He does listen to prayers Um Because truthfully at the end of the day like the word and the Lord You know like people like I said You know people will gravitate towards that And so over time it will happen.
- 12:53SPEAKER_01: Um, you know, again, we do have to continue to pray for that, you know, when like if you are speaking the you know speaking about the Lord a lot You know around this family member Or maybe it's around you know friend that friend or coworker You know it's just simply inviting them to church or when they're like hey how was your weekend you know and you're like oh you know um we didn't do too much I went to church and my church had a little event after that just talk about that talk you know talk about what Jesus did or how how it was a good time or you know you can just give oh like you know it was a really good message you know like it was just talking about leaning on the Lord in the really hard times and I you know whatever however you kind of you know slide it in there you can always talk about the Lord without being pushy in their face um or you really could just simply invite them and be like hey you know um I would really love to always invite you know hey do you want to come to church do you want to come to Bible study do you want to come to this event that I'm going to it's uh you know right now it's fall time hey do you want to come to this fall event do you want to come to this you know big off whatever um it's just a good way to always talk about the Lord in a you know genuine way um my third point is using positive language um yeah so uh bring hope to people okay there are gonna be those people in your life that you're they're always negative they're complaining a lot or maybe they're just depressed they're going through a season they don't maybe they're not always this way you know but like I said they're just going through a season of life where they're not you know positive like they usually are and they're depressed or maybe they're sick whatever whatever the case is that they're not the normal selves um or you know that they're being you know negative and and a Debbie downer so to speak use positive language and this doesn't mean you have to like quote you know posters you know and be like great job sweetie keep going give it your best shot right no like you don't have to talk like that but you know using positive language when they're not feeling it because that is being the light in their life for them and over time as you plant that seed it will grow in their heart where they will start to be more positive and you know make the most of that time that you have with them and and I think that's such a big point is when you're speaking to that person it's such a great way to make the most of every situation and make sure you're being the light at every given moment simply by gizzing just giving some positive language like you know I'm trying to think of like an example right now for whatever reason I'm drawing a blank Lord help me um okay so maybe you're at work and you're really struggling and you literally see something you you know it starts to unfold in front of you and you can see like crap is about to hit the fan you know um using positive language while your coworkers are around you and just being like hey you know what no we're gonna have a good day I'm gonna take hey you can kind of even quote scripture honestly this is like my favorite thing to do um and I always like to quote like um not quote but reference I should say famous Bible verses because everybody not everybody but most people will recognize that right and so they see that you're using positive language and they use they see that you're being the light they see that you're you know um thinking on the bright side they see that you're you're being that Jesus light but you're also sliding in the word and first of all the word is powerful in itself but they recognize that they they're like oh like I've heard of that Bible verse before and that's another seed planted and so um for example like you know crap's about to hit the fan at work right and you're like you know what no we're not gonna we're not gonna think like that we're gonna take every thought captive you know and we're gonna think of the things that are pure and we're gonna think that of things that are honest and we're gonna think that of things that are kind and just and and right and we're not you know we're going to have heart in love in our hearts and we're gonna you know we're gonna be kind about the situation as hard as it is we're gonna get through it okay and you know again I always love to say like always the prayer in there is always like my perfect like sandwich you know you can never have a sandwich without mayonnaise or whatever your condiment is okay I feel like you can never have that um especially when it's like a one-on-one conversation whatever it's about like you can never have that kind of one-on-one conversation without offering to prayer like that's just such a beautiful way to like make it perfect you know so after you you know are given that positive language um you know whether it's at work or maybe it's your family okay thanksgiving's coming up um it's been a topic in in my household a lot lately you know and and let's be honest you know um family drama can be stressful um and family can be a lot and so just using positive language and be like hey you know what we're gonna have a great time and you know we are we're gonna be super thankful and we're just we're thankful for the roof overhead we're thankful that the Lord gave us another day to have this breath in our lungs we're thankful that we can get together and have this food um that we're gonna make it it's gonna be okay we're gonna figure it out the Lord's gonna be with us even if it's gonna be stressful he he he's he's gonna provide for us okay and so by using that positive language and then you know after you're using that positive language be like you know what hold on let's pray because you know or or offering you know hey do you want to pray I just feel like you know this the situation can be a lot you know whatever whatever the situation you're in with that person hey the situation could be a lot and um hey why don't we just pray together so we can really you know feel better about the situation so you know we're not tempted to you know think super negatively or you know allow ourselves to get angry or bitter you know but just to keep to keep the positiveness going like hey do you want to pray with me um yeah um and if they say no they say no please don't get you know get upset when you get rejected because let me tell you I'm gonna be so honest and say that that's gonna happen does it hurt of course it does um it's it never doesn't it it's never not gonna hurt right um but we don't let that we don't let that don't take it personal you know it we just keep going keep offering it to them keep planting those seeds keep praying for them because it one day it will come um but I will also say most of the time you know yes people will maybe say no I'm okay or no I'm good or whatever but most of the time people won't deny that if you're offering to to pray with them it's such it's such a kind giant lovely dress gesture um and and people recognize that and so most of the time people will say yes um so yeah that's always a good point um hold on what point am I on one two three four okay using um using your words to um fill people's emotional depression emptiness I don't I'm I'm trying to like figure out my words right now because my notes are all over the place.
- 20:02SPEAKER_01: You know like the people who are are normally Debbie Dammers who have a lot of negative thoughts on their mind you know they also tend to allow themselves to enter and take root into their emotions and so then it becomes who they are and it becomes something that they're stressed about all the time and and um and so as as we see that you know we want to be the salt and we want to we want to help them but you know you you you can't just be like oh stop thinking negatively like that's not gonna help like no that you're not helping either you know like but when they start to hear us when they start to hear you talk that way a certain way they can start believing it in themselves and they can start believing in God right you know when when they're um I feel like the biggest reason for this example that I can think of is financially because how many times do people worry about money stress about money not having enough money and that's something that they do think about negatively so often that it becomes an emotion it becomes their life it becomes who they are um and so you know by simply prophesying and speaking God's promises speaking his word over them um and and and filling up that emotional emptiness so when they're talking about that just being like hey but you know what there's a God or there's a Lord however you want to put it you know hey but Jesus will provide for you even when it doesn't look like there will be a way Jesus will make a way and if you just go to him and just pray let hey actually let me pray with you we can pray together you know if that would help and I you know I'm offering to pray with you but you know what the Lord is going to provide a way he is going to provide a way he's he has plans to prosper you you know for you and he has plans to do good not harm you and so you know he doesn't want you to to not pay your bills you know he he doesn't want you To struggle, he wants good things for you, and so you know, let's not think like that.
- 22:04SPEAKER_01: That that it will come, the money will come.
- 22:06SPEAKER_01: Um, we're gonna keep working hard, we're gonna keep praying about it, you know.
- 22:09SPEAKER_01: And I I'm gonna pray for you, but you know, it's gonna come.
- 22:12SPEAKER_01: That money is gonna come, you know, those test results are gonna come, um, and they're gonna be good ones.
- 22:16SPEAKER_01: Um, that's another one, health.
- 22:17SPEAKER_01: Um, especially in this area, you know, and and prophesying, hey, you know what, I believe, and and and you speak and you believe it for them.
- 22:25SPEAKER_01: I believe because even if they don't, that's okay.
- 22:29SPEAKER_01: You speaking it to them that you believe that the Lord will provide that money, or that you believe that the Lord will provide those good test results, you you say that to them and right, like most of the time, you know, this person that you're speaking to, you're probably it's not like you know, might be a stranger, but most of the time it's not just gonna be somebody that you've only had one conversation with, right?
- 22:49SPEAKER_01: Like, this is probably somebody, you know, around in your life somehow, some way, you've had this conversation or brought this topic up one uh more than once, right?
- 22:59SPEAKER_01: And and so, and every time that topic gets brought up, hey, but I believe that the Lord is going to provide.
- 23:05SPEAKER_01: I believe that when you go to that doctor's appointment, there's gonna be it's gonna be nothing.
- 23:10SPEAKER_01: It's gonna be clean, it's gonna be clear, it's gonna be, he's going to heal you.
- 23:14SPEAKER_01: You know, I believe that the Lord is going to provide you that money.
- 23:18SPEAKER_01: I believe that the Lord is going to get you through it.
- 23:20SPEAKER_01: I believe that the Lord um is always gonna be there for you and He's going to um, you know, He's going to provide for you because He does have plans for your good.
- 23:29SPEAKER_01: And and speaking that over them because maybe they don't believe in it, but you're filling up their emptiness by believing for them.
- 23:39SPEAKER_01: And the more that you say that to them, the more they will slowly start to believe it.
- 23:43SPEAKER_01: And that's such again, such a beautiful way to plant a seed in somebody and to pray with them, offered again, always to pray with them.
- 23:50SPEAKER_01: Hey, do you want me to pray with you?
- 23:52SPEAKER_01: Um, you know, hey, let's let's pray over this together.
- 23:55SPEAKER_01: And um, you know, if if you know word like that, I I encourage you, you know, if you know some scripture, maybe you're not like super knowledgeable, I don't know.
- 24:04SPEAKER_01: You know, you can you can assess yourself on where you are and knowledgeable being in the word.
- 24:08SPEAKER_01: Um, but I encourage you to pray the pray the word.
- 24:12SPEAKER_01: Um, you know, even if it's only a two verses, maybe it's only two or three verses that you know off the top of your head, that's fine.
- 24:19SPEAKER_01: I do and just encourage you to, when you know, obviously the verse applies for itself.
- 24:23SPEAKER_01: Obviously, if the verse is applying to financial struggles or you know, peace in their heart and they're struggling, like angry and bitter, you know, like obviously you want it to make sense, but um, I do encourage you to um pray the word over them because whether they know it or not, the word is powerful and it is alive and it works.
- 24:43SPEAKER_01: Okay, next point.
- 24:45SPEAKER_01: Um using different resources.
- 24:50SPEAKER_01: Okay, what do I mean by that?
- 24:51SPEAKER_01: Um maybe when you communicate with them, it's not all just one way, okay.
- 24:57SPEAKER_01: Um, the the Lord trusted you to to be a disciple, he trusted you to bring people to Jesus, He trusts you.
- 25:04SPEAKER_01: He there's an anointing over your life um to bring people to Jesus.
- 25:08SPEAKER_01: There's an anointing over your life to be a child of God and to be a disciple.
- 25:11SPEAKER_01: Um, but you know, at the same time, we can we we don't when we when we're I can't talk, oh my gosh.
- 25:18SPEAKER_01: I'm stuttering, so sorry.
- 25:20SPEAKER_01: When you are speaking to people and you're communicating, you can use it differently.
- 25:26SPEAKER_01: Okay, so this isn't a broad spectrum.
- 25:28SPEAKER_01: Um, but you don't just have to speak with testimony, right?
- 25:34SPEAKER_01: Like I was talking about earlier, like when you're talking about Jesus, like giving testimony is such a beautiful example, right?
- 25:40SPEAKER_01: Yes, but that doesn't have to be the only form of there it is, form that's the word I'm looking for.
- 25:46SPEAKER_01: Doesn't have to be the only form of communication when it comes to speaking about Jesus.
- 25:51SPEAKER_01: You don't just have to just only speak positive, only give motivating words, only give testimony.
- 25:56SPEAKER_01: There it is a it's a beautiful cookie.
- 25:59SPEAKER_01: Okay, what's in a cookie?
- 26:01SPEAKER_01: So many different ingredients.
- 26:04SPEAKER_01: Um, but when you put them all together, you get this immaculate, beautiful mouth-watering cookie that could only be formed and shaped if you had all the right ingredients and you put it in the oven.
- 26:18SPEAKER_01: Okay, first of all, side note this is the Lord giving me this thought.
- 26:21SPEAKER_01: I did not have this thought, okay.
- 26:23SPEAKER_01: We all know the Lord speaks in parables here, but okay, so us, our forms of communication, that's the ingredients.
- 26:29SPEAKER_01: Okay, we put it all together, we mix that all together.
- 26:31SPEAKER_01: We give the testimonies and we give the positive language and um, you know, we make sure we're available to speak to them, and we make sure we're there to, you know, be um, you know, uh supportive.
- 26:42SPEAKER_01: And you know, maybe we maybe you give um, I don't know, illustrations.
- 26:47SPEAKER_01: Maybe when you're speaking to them, especially if they're like newer in their faith and you're still continuing to walk with them or guide, you know, maybe you send them a Bible verse picture, maybe you send them a picture you've seen on Pinterest somewhere, um, or parables, just like I'm doing right now.
- 27:01SPEAKER_01: Jesus always speaks in parables.
- 27:02SPEAKER_01: Maybe you give an analogy or a parable um when you're speaking about something, um, and you refer it to the Lord or to the word.
- 27:10SPEAKER_01: All of these things are ingredients, right?
- 27:12SPEAKER_01: And we when we put it together and and you know, we scoop out our little cookie bites, right?
- 27:16SPEAKER_01: And we put it into the oven.
- 27:18SPEAKER_01: And when we put it into the oven, we're putting it into God's hands.
- 27:22SPEAKER_01: And so when we and we combined all these things, and we make our cookies and we put it in the oven, and we say, Okay, Lord, you know what?
- 27:30SPEAKER_01: I've I've I was available, I prayed for them, I gave my testimony, I, you know, was giving them positive language, I was motivating them, I was filling up their emptiness, I was always speaking about you, I was making sure I was being a light, you know, I was making sure I was modeling and and leading by example.
- 27:47SPEAKER_01: And once you say, Okay, you know what, Lord, I've done all I can do.
- 27:50SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna pray for them and I'm gonna put it in the oven and I'm gonna trust that you will make this situation, this person beautiful.
- 27:59SPEAKER_01: Their salvation will be beautiful, and you know what?
- 28:01SPEAKER_01: The cookies come out, honey, and guess what?
- 28:03SPEAKER_01: That cookie's delicious, okay?
- 28:05SPEAKER_01: And their salvation is beautiful, and it's a beautiful story.
- 28:07SPEAKER_01: And now you couldn't have done it without the Lord.
- 28:11SPEAKER_01: You could have all these ingredients, okay?
- 28:12SPEAKER_01: Now I know there's some non-baked cookies out there, but we're not talking about those kinds, okay.
- 28:17SPEAKER_01: You can't have a beautiful cookie, okay.
- 28:19SPEAKER_01: I'm thinking about sugar cookies right now because Christmas is coming around the corner, and oh my gosh, I don't know.
- 28:24SPEAKER_01: I'm just picturing like these in beautiful, like oh, vanilla sugar cookie with like the extra sugar on top and then like green and red sprinkles.
- 28:33SPEAKER_01: It's like soft in the middle and like a little bit of crispy around the edges.
- 28:36SPEAKER_01: Okay, I don't know if your mouth is watering, but mine is.
- 28:40SPEAKER_01: I am a mad ho for cookies.
- 28:42SPEAKER_01: Anyway, um yeah.
- 28:46SPEAKER_01: That wouldn't have happened if we didn't give it to the Lord to bake, okay?
- 28:52SPEAKER_01: Um five.
- 28:56SPEAKER_01: Wait, six, seven.
- 28:58SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 28:58SPEAKER_01: Anywho, anyhow, it's okay.
- 29:00SPEAKER_01: Two more.
- 29:02SPEAKER_01: Um when we're talking to somebody, we need to try our best to make sure that when they have a question for us, we have the answer.
- 29:13SPEAKER_01: Now I'm not saying that's gonna happen every time because there's gonna be times we don't have always have the answer.
- 29:17SPEAKER_01: 100% normal.
- 29:18SPEAKER_01: That's okay.
- 29:19SPEAKER_01: I'm not saying that you have to have the answer 100% of the time.
- 29:21SPEAKER_01: Don't beat yourself up for the times you don't.
- 29:23SPEAKER_01: But we need to try our best to have the answer for that person's need.
- 29:28SPEAKER_01: Um you know, because we need to always be thinking like, hey, I need to communicate something that this person really needs.
- 29:36SPEAKER_01: Um, you know, and tr just try to have that answer for that family, or you know, whether it's from moral or emotional or whatever need, you know, that they're that they're going through, just really try to have that answer.
- 29:51SPEAKER_01: And now I um I want to give an example or try to explain this more because that doesn't mean that okay, when they come to you and you know they have a question about Jesus, okay, and they're like, Well, how is it the Holy Trinity?
- 30:08SPEAKER_01: How is how is he Jesus and you know, and the Holy Spirit and God, right?
- 30:13SPEAKER_01: And you're like, how how is that, right?
- 30:15SPEAKER_01: When they ask those kinds of questions, it's okay if you don't know the answer.
- 30:17SPEAKER_01: It's okay if they they give you some crazy hardball question.
- 30:20SPEAKER_01: You're like, I don't know.
- 30:21SPEAKER_01: You know what?
- 30:21SPEAKER_01: Because my answer always is because he is, because he's God, you know?
- 30:25SPEAKER_01: Ask him that when you get to heaven.
- 30:27SPEAKER_01: But what I know is that he is all three because he is God and he's holy.
- 30:31SPEAKER_01: Okay, that's what I got for you.
- 30:32SPEAKER_01: Um, but there's gonna be questions like that.
- 30:34SPEAKER_01: That's not the questions I'm talking about.
- 30:35SPEAKER_01: I'm talking about the questions like when they're talking to you and they're like, how do I overcome blank?
- 30:41SPEAKER_01: How do I get through blank?
- 30:42SPEAKER_01: How do I get through this, you know, season of my life where I'm super burnt out and stressed?
- 30:47SPEAKER_01: How do I get through this, you know, mentality of always being stressed about money?
- 30:51SPEAKER_01: How do I get over this sickness that just won't end?
- 30:55SPEAKER_01: How do I manage seven things, you know, all these things that I have on my to-do list without being stressed?
- 31:01SPEAKER_01: How do I how do I get rid of my anxiety?
- 31:03SPEAKER_01: Those kinds of questions, okay?
- 31:04SPEAKER_01: When they're talking about questions and in and needs in their life like that, what is the answer?
- 31:14SPEAKER_01: God, we all know that.
- 31:16SPEAKER_01: Hopefully, we all know that.
- 31:18SPEAKER_01: The Lord is Jesus, okay?
- 31:20SPEAKER_01: I always say that.
- 31:23SPEAKER_01: Everybody needs Jesus, okay?
- 31:25SPEAKER_01: That's always answered, but on a smaller scale, what is that person's need?
- 31:31SPEAKER_01: How can we answer that?
- 31:33SPEAKER_01: Okay, this person needs, you know, okay, this person's going through financial stress.
- 31:38SPEAKER_01: Okay, you evaluate.
- 31:40SPEAKER_01: Are they a believer?
- 31:41SPEAKER_01: Do they believe in the Lord?
- 31:42SPEAKER_01: Where are they at?
- 31:43SPEAKER_01: You know, maybe yes, no, maybe in between, maybe they believe, but that's just it.
- 31:47SPEAKER_01: Maybe there's somebody who does walk in their faith, they just need extra help, maybe not at all.
- 31:51SPEAKER_01: Whatever.
- 31:52SPEAKER_01: Okay, evaluate that.
- 31:53SPEAKER_01: Evaluate what their need is.
- 31:55SPEAKER_01: Okay, so I'm gonna paint a picture real quick.
- 31:58SPEAKER_01: Somebody who's a believer, um, they believe in the Lord, um, and they have a Bible.
- 32:04SPEAKER_01: Um, they don't really read their Bible.
- 32:07SPEAKER_01: Um, they do try to get to know the Lord, but um, you know, it's not a priority for them.
- 32:12SPEAKER_01: So um they are trying to have a relationship with the Lord, they're in the starting early stages of that.
- 32:17SPEAKER_01: Um, they believe in the Lord and they're really dealing with financial um burden and financial stress, um, but they haven't quite really fully submitted to the Lord where that you really see like night and day personality changes.
- 32:29SPEAKER_01: Um, and they're really stressing and really having a hard time giving their financial stress to the Lord, and they're coming to you, you know, very stressed about it, they don't know where the money's coming from.
- 32:39SPEAKER_01: What is that answer?
- 32:40SPEAKER_01: Okay, so obviously we know the answer is the Lord, but niche down from that.
- 32:45SPEAKER_01: What is the answer that you can give them?
- 32:47SPEAKER_01: The answer that you can give them is hey, I know this is really hard, but hey, the Lord is always there for you.
- 32:57SPEAKER_01: This is where good knowing the Bible comes in handy because you start quoting scripture, you start pulling out word.
- 33:04SPEAKER_01: If you don't know it, honey, get the Bible app and get in nothing like swimwear, okay?
- 33:08SPEAKER_01: There's plans, okay.
- 33:10SPEAKER_01: You can Google the verse if you're really struggling.
- 33:12SPEAKER_01: I can't tell you how many times that like I know a verse, but I don't know where it's at.
- 33:15SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh, that's my kryptonite.
- 33:17SPEAKER_01: I'm like, oh yeah, and I'll start like like rephrasing the verse, and I'm like, I have no idea where it's at though, right?
- 33:21SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, I gotta Google it, and I'll be like, the verse that says, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, right?
- 33:26SPEAKER_01: Because you've got to find exactly where it's at.
- 33:28SPEAKER_01: But okay, it's okay to do that.
- 33:29SPEAKER_01: Um, and and and do that, to find that answer, to give them that word.
- 33:33SPEAKER_01: And when you give them that word, whether it's via phone or via text or in person, when you give them that word, you know, that's just the start of your answer, you know, and you and you kind of minister to them in a small way and let them know that the Lord is always there, um, and kind of minister a little bit around that verse, offer to pray for them.
- 33:49SPEAKER_01: That's your answer.
- 33:50SPEAKER_01: Your answer is your availability, your event your answer is Jesus, and niching down into what it is that their need is.
- 33:56SPEAKER_01: Um, but going um, you know, farther beyond that, you be extra available to them.
- 34:02SPEAKER_01: You make sure that you are praying for them extra, you know, and you're really believing, you're prophesying that you believe that the Lord's gonna provide that financial stability um and that it's gonna pull through, and you keep praying for them and and you keep them on your mind.
- 34:14SPEAKER_01: Maybe this is somebody that you start putting in the forefront to the more of the priority list, okay?
- 34:19SPEAKER_01: You know, because this person's really going through it and they really need an answer.
- 34:22SPEAKER_01: Okay, well, you know, you start you start really trying to pull them into the Lord, you're really inviting them to church, you're inviting them to Bible study.
- 34:29SPEAKER_01: You offer to call them every day to do prayer time.
- 34:32SPEAKER_01: Maybe you offer to um meet with them every Thursday night to do devotional time or Bible study time.
- 34:37SPEAKER_01: You know, you really start giving them that answer of, hey, you know, you really got to get closer to Jesus.
- 34:41SPEAKER_01: And hey, the Lord does have good plans for you and He will provide for you.
- 34:44SPEAKER_01: Here's this verse, gonna minister it to you a little bit, but I'm not just gonna leave it there.
- 34:49SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna have the and you know, the the answer is that I'm also gonna be here for you.
- 34:54SPEAKER_01: Jesus is also here for you.
- 34:55SPEAKER_01: Um, and just continuing with that, you know, because sometimes they need that answer, okay?
- 35:01SPEAKER_01: Most of the time they need that answer.
- 35:03SPEAKER_01: Now, sometimes, yes, people are just want to vent and they just want you to to listen a hundred percent.
- 35:07SPEAKER_01: There are those times, and um, but there's also those times that people need that answer, and I need you to be ready.
- 35:14SPEAKER_01: The Lord needs you.
- 35:15SPEAKER_01: I don't need the Lord needs you to be ready to have that answer, okay?
- 35:19SPEAKER_01: And so, like I said, it's not necessarily like you know, hardball questions of like, hey, why did the Lord make wasps?
- 35:26SPEAKER_01: Okay, I still have that question because when I get to heaven, I'll be like, seriously, Lord, why hornets?
- 35:31SPEAKER_01: Why wasps?
- 35:31SPEAKER_01: Like, why?
- 35:32SPEAKER_01: What are we doing here?
- 35:33SPEAKER_01: Anyway, um, also, why stink bugs?
- 35:35SPEAKER_01: Because stink bugs are terrible.
- 35:36SPEAKER_01: Anyway, yeah, but it's not questions like that, right?
- 35:41SPEAKER_01: It's it's it's questions about what they're going on through life, um, and having having that answer on how they're gonna get through it, and um being there to help them through that answer and help them believe that answer.
- 35:55SPEAKER_01: Um and then the last one is be consistent, okay.
- 36:00SPEAKER_01: We can do all the things we can talk about our testimony, we can, you know, always be speaking about the Lord and what he does and his goodness and how we're thankful for him.
- 36:13SPEAKER_01: We could be using motivating words, we can be using good positive language, we can be quoting quoting scripture, we can be filling out people's emptiness by prophesying and believing for them, you know.
- 36:24SPEAKER_01: We can be um talking to them through analogies and showing them pictures and Bible verses, and we can be giving them the answer that they need, and we can be offering to go to church with them and all the things we can be doing all of that, but if you're not consistent, it's not going to be as effective.
- 36:45SPEAKER_01: If you just do all of that on a Monday, okay, when they're having a rough day, maybe even Tuesday, okay.
- 36:51SPEAKER_01: Wednesday, you start slacking a little bit.
- 36:54SPEAKER_01: Thursday, you're you're touch and go.
- 36:57SPEAKER_01: Friday, you haven't talked to them all day.
- 37:00SPEAKER_01: That's not being consistent, you know, or you you're really good with them one week, but then the next week you fall off.
- 37:06SPEAKER_01: Okay, I'm I'm I'm gonna be honest, okay.
- 37:09SPEAKER_01: I'm giving this message, but I have trouble with that too.
- 37:13SPEAKER_01: I you're not the only one.
- 37:15SPEAKER_01: Happens to me all the time, you know, and you're juggling.
- 37:19SPEAKER_01: I'll I'll give my reasoning, you know, I'm not I'm not giving excuses, but I'll just I'll state the real obviousness of myself here.
- 37:24SPEAKER_01: Well, I notice myself sometimes not being consistent, and you know, being a mom and being a wife and being a teacher, and you know, also being a child of God and being in the ministry and you know, having a podcast and having a Bible study and bringing women and and people to the Lord.
- 37:39SPEAKER_01: Um, you know, and and usually it's not just one person that I'm speaking to.
- 37:43SPEAKER_01: You know, there's a handful of people that I'm speaking to for multiple different reasons, whether it's salvation or breakthrough, or they just need me to be there for them um during this season, whatever, right?
- 37:51SPEAKER_01: And so you're doing the Lord's work, and you know, sometimes you unintentionally, from being so honest, I do.
- 37:57SPEAKER_01: I you know, sometimes we are in seasons where we lack that consistency because we're just having a hard time juggling all those hats, you know, and um that's okay, but we need to recognize that and we need to hey say, Hey Lord, help me with this.
- 38:14SPEAKER_01: Help me as I do your work, help me do mine.
- 38:18SPEAKER_01: Um, you know, help me be consistent, help me keep those people on my on my heart, on my thoughts.
- 38:26SPEAKER_01: You know, help me be consistent.
- 38:28SPEAKER_01: Show me.
- 38:28SPEAKER_01: Um, this is a big one.
- 38:30SPEAKER_01: Ask him, show me, Lord, show me the people that I need to prioritize, show me the people that I need to minister to, show me the people that will be my disciples, show me the people that I need to speak to today, and he will, okay, and that really does help us be consistent.
- 38:45SPEAKER_01: Um, I recently asked the Lord that and I I asked him, like, hey, you know, I've got all these different people that I'm talking to, but what's my priority?
- 38:51SPEAKER_01: Who are the people in my life that I need to give my number one priority?
- 38:55SPEAKER_01: And and he did, and he showed it to me, and then it was crazy because you know, he not only did he show me those people, but then he showed me why they were a priority, you know, and it's usually for big reasons, and it's reasons that I had no idea that were ever gonna be a thing if I didn't ask in prayer, um, then I probably wouldn't have known.
- 39:11SPEAKER_01: Um so yeah, but we have to be consistent and we have to um we have to remember that their salvation is at stake.
- 39:20SPEAKER_01: It is life or death, quite literally.
- 39:24SPEAKER_01: And people need to hear the word of God.
- 39:28SPEAKER_01: People need us to be the light.
- 39:31SPEAKER_01: And I just wanna close out with this and my last point.
- 39:36SPEAKER_01: I just want to close this out and then we're gonna end in prayer.
- 39:40SPEAKER_01: If you're busy and you say, I don't got the time, I don't got the knowledge, I don't know what to say.
- 39:48SPEAKER_01: I hope that this helped, and I hope that the this changed the dynamic and you feel a little bit better now.
- 39:54SPEAKER_01: Please, please, please, don't ever let the ministry be what you put down.
- 39:59SPEAKER_01: Okay, if it's the dishes in the sink, if you know it's homework that's due at midnight, I don't know, whatever it is, you gotta give a little laundry, groceries.
- 40:08SPEAKER_01: I don't know, okay?
- 40:09SPEAKER_01: I don't know where it is in your life that you need to give a little, but like but please don't let it be the ministry.
- 40:14SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 40:15SPEAKER_01: That needs to be more of a priority.
- 40:17SPEAKER_01: These, like again, remind yourself it is life or death.
- 40:20SPEAKER_01: These people might not make it.
- 40:23SPEAKER_01: Okay?
- 40:24SPEAKER_01: We need to put that on our forefront of what we do, what we think about, what we dream about, what's on our hearts, what we pray about, all that.
- 40:32SPEAKER_01: Okay, it needs to be on the forefront of that.
- 40:34SPEAKER_01: And so I just please pray and I just I ask you, don't let that be what you put down.
- 40:38SPEAKER_01: Don't let that be the thing that you're like, oh, I I just don't have time right now, I just don't know what to say.
- 40:44SPEAKER_01: Don't let that be your excuse, okay?
- 40:46SPEAKER_01: Put ministry in the front.
- 40:48SPEAKER_01: Okay?
- 40:49SPEAKER_01: Because we've got people's hearts salvations at stake.
- 40:56SPEAKER_01: You don't know when this person that you're talking to could die.
- 40:59SPEAKER_01: They could die tomorrow.
- 41:02SPEAKER_01: And they might not make it.
- 41:04SPEAKER_01: So let's really be serious about bringing them to the Lord.
- 41:10SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 41:10SPEAKER_01: I'm not saying beat yourself up and be super hard on yourself because you forgot to text them today or forgot to reach out to them today.
- 41:16SPEAKER_01: No, I'm not saying that.
- 41:18SPEAKER_01: I'm just saying when you walk with that mindset, it helps change your thinking about what your motives are and what your priorities are.
- 41:28SPEAKER_01: Um, and so as you walk with this, I just hope that that helps as you're as you're thinking about, you know, the ways that we bring people to the Lord and you know, all the tips and tricks.
- 41:39SPEAKER_01: Um, but at the end of the day, it it's a priority.
- 41:43SPEAKER_01: But I talked for extremely way too long, and if I'm being honest, I literally prayed before I started recording, and I was like, please, Lord, please don't let me talk for too long.
- 41:51SPEAKER_01: But then right after that, I was like, hey Lord, like please speak through me, because like, you know, I don't have good notes, so I really need you to speak through me today.
- 41:58SPEAKER_01: And here we are, 42 minutes in.
- 42:00SPEAKER_01: So, I'm gonna close this out in prayer.
- 42:04SPEAKER_01: Dear Lord, I thank you so much for speaking through me.
- 42:07SPEAKER_01: I thank you so much for helping me deliver this message, and I just I thank you so much for every listener.
- 42:11SPEAKER_01: I'm just so grateful um to just have this opportunity that you trust me to to do this, Lord.
- 42:16SPEAKER_01: And I just lift up every single listener to you, Father.
- 42:19SPEAKER_01: Um, I just pray a protection over them.
- 42:21SPEAKER_01: I intercede on their behalf, and I just pray a protection over them against the enemy, Lord, that an anointing over them that oh my gosh, I can't talk.
- 42:28SPEAKER_01: Please, Lord, help me.
- 42:30SPEAKER_01: I pray an anointing over them.
- 42:32SPEAKER_01: I just pray that as they go out and they continue to minister to people and they just continue to be the light, to be the love, and to just, you know, bring more people to you, Lord.
