• 0:01
[upbeat rock music] Hey there, everybody.
• 0:22
This here is Full Spectrum Cycling. Hello, what are you doing over there, Tony? Sorry, I booted that. Tony's, Tony's kicking stuff. [laughs] Sorry, I booted that. Well- I literally- I boot-... used a boot- I booted it...
• 0:31
when I said that. [laughs] This is show number 230. 2-3-0. So obviously Tony's here kicking stuff. Yeah. Yeah. JK's over there looking at stuff. I am. I'm looking at a document 'cause come up all nice.
• 0:46
Yeah, I'd kinda spent a little time on the show notes this- Oh, sorry I did that. [laughs] Yeah, it went from zero to 60. Know what we're talking about today or anything. Yeah.
• 0:52
It went from zero [laughs] like- I'm winging it... one thing on there- Oh... before and then- Somehow the, uh, I don't know if that document's getting really, really, really, really, really long- Oh...
• 1:02
since it has 230 shows on the- Is it taking forever to open?... on the Google, uh, what do they call that thing? The, uh- Docs... the docs.google.com.
• 1:12
Uh, I's just wondering when it's gonna finally fill up enough where they won't accept anymore. I- I'll bet you we got plenty of time. Yeah. I know. It's, uh, there- 'Cause it's just characters.
• 1:21
There's nothing clever in there. Right. There is some sort of a word count on here somewhere. I had found it at one point, but... And there's some limit- Mm... in the several hundred thousand- Cool... [laughs] category.
• 1:33
Cool. We'll figure it out when it happens. Yeah. We'll be, it'll be about show number, I don't know, 1,200 or something. Yeah. Uh, what do we got going today? We, uh- How was your Thanksgiving?
• 1:44
[laughs] My Thanksgiving was very, uh, small this year. It's a, it's an off year because Wendy's sisters are not in town. They are with their respective spouses' families. So it, it's just me and Ma. Right on.
• 2:01
And it's Wendy's parents. And how about those dang old Green Bay Packers, huh? Mm-hmm, hmm. [laughs] Are you gonna prognosticate? Well- That was a- I don't know what happened... that was a banger of a game. Banger.
• 2:13
I'm sure somebody got injured. I'm sure some footballs got thrown around. Yes, I was going back and forth- So who were those-...
• 2:19
into the kitchen because I ill timed the gathering- I'd kinda like to say they're spoilers, but Detroit's so far ahead- Oh... that they're playing Detroit, or played, whatever. I just finally figured this out- Yeah...
• 2:31
just for the record. All right. So maybe we'll have something to talk about next week. Yeah. [laughs] And yeah, I don't have... Turkey, bacon-wrapped turkey. Bacon-wrapped turkey? Interesting.
• 2:44
That's- That's a lot of bacon. Mm-hmm. Well, there's two solid pounds of it. I don't know. Hopefully that's not all for... It's not a huge turkey obviously this year 'cause it's small. Uh-huh.
• 2:54
What, w- it, uh- How was your pie, JK? JK's making- It was delicious. Yeah. What's- Atlantic Beach pie... You want the door? Atlantic Beach pie. And it's a- With-... it's a variation of key lime or something? Yeah.
• 3:05
It's a lemon lime pie with a saltine crust. There we go. Saltine crust. That sounds delicious. No graham cracker on there? Uh-uh. Saltines. Pretty sure, I'm pretty sure we had apple pie.
• 3:16
[laughs] We had s- We, that's- That was my-... the running joke is we always have several, and we had several different kinds of apple pie.
• 3:23
Well, when I was, when I was a lot younger, my dad liked, made, he made mince meat pie and he always made stuff called hard sauce, which is, got brandy or something in it. It's really- Hmm...
• 3:33
it's sweet, it's white, and you put it on mince meat pie typically. Hmm. Or you just eat it with a spoon. Ew. Yeah. [laughs] It was awesome. I wish- Both those don't sound very appealing to me... oh, it's just so good.
• 3:44
I'm not a mince meat guy too much, but- No... I'll take the apple pie. Eat me, Maggie. Apple pie. Yeah. Moving, no pumpkin I don't think is gonna make any appearance- That, that was my- Well, we had one...
• 3:55
contribution, appearance I decided- We had one. No pumpkin. That was my, that was my- That's not my, I'm not- It was offered in a different form. A pumpkin cake was offered. On the right day, I like a pumpkin pie.
• 4:04
I really do. With- I, no... with whipped cream? Of course. [laughs] Natural- Yeah, it's like a pumpkin beer. Or ice cream. It's like every five years I'll break down and go like, "I should try one of these."
• 4:14
And then- You hate it... it's like, "Why did I do that?" Yeah, see, I'm never trying that. The pumpkin porter from, uh, the De Krooten Pumpkin Porter. Oh. Oh, that w- Where you guys were dumb drunk? Uh-huh.
• 4:26
[laughs] Falling off stools and whatnot. [laughs] That's quite a while back there. Burnt Hickory? Yeah. Was that the, Burnt Hickory? Burnt Hickory, yeah. Yeah. That was a long time ago.
• 4:33
Did either of you guys listen to, uh, the show early? Oh, no, you, Tony usually is, listens to it Tuesday.
• 4:40
Sorry, folks, uh, somehow it, I don't know what happened, but 228 went back [laughs] went up for a couple hours instead of 229 last week, so. Oh, I listened to 229 this morning.
• 4:51
Yeah, if you got suckered into it, then, uh, 229's been up since, oh, two o'clock last Friday, but... And it's on your, your Apple, your Apple, uh, whatever you call it- All your fine streaming platforms...
• 5:04
thing, podcast. All your pla- I don't know if it's on 'em. It's on many. It's on some. It's on some. Not really- I should ask my little thing on the counter if it'll play it. Is it a, is it a Google? It's a Google thing.
• 5:17
Ah. Hey, Google. Depending on which one. Play those jerks that don't really talk about bikes and shit too much. [laughs] We haven't talked about bikes much. Talk about a light that I gave back to you.
• 5:25
That's a bike light. Yes, I got a bike light back finally. Yeah. After Poker Riot back in, what? Oh, wow. August? No, yeah, no, it wasn't from Poker Riot, was it? Yeah, it was from Poker Riot, dude.
• 5:35
I was going home and you were staying out later, so I'm like, "Okay, you can have my light 'cause I'll be home before it's dark." That was on the- Oh, that was, that was the Steel Is Real day. Yeah. Uh- Yeah... yeah.
• 5:46
Yeah. Yeah, the poker- Well, yeah, so-... and the Poker Riot... I just hadn't used it. The holiday, my birthday. The funny part was I think I just bought it from you, like, two weeks earlier.
• 5:52
[laughs] Well, I've had it longer than you then. [laughs] Yeah, probably. It's a nice little light. Maybe. It's a nice little light. It was September 9th, the holiest of days. Huh? The birthday of Michael.
• 6:00
Oh, it was the birthday- I mean JK... it's right. [laughs] It, it was the birthday of JK. [laughs] That was a good day. I remember that. Shameless self-promotion. I said what? You know what else?
• 6:10
[laughs] You know what else was a good day? Last Friday Oh, yeah... at High Dive. Oh, man, that was fun. [laughs] Yeah. Our, our, uh, our bike riding buddy, Jeff, and, and his, and his bandmate, Mars in El Rongo.
• 6:23
They- Were middle, middle... They were sandwiched between the girl with the short guitar and the guys from Kalamazoo. Uh, it was the two-piece t- Meal Deal... Meal Deal.
• 6:34
Yeah, they, they, they were all- And the brother, sister from Appletown... they were from Appletown. Yep. Yeah, it was- That was, uh, Elmer Gluskin. They were good. That's the band after...
• 6:41
Well, they- Is that what they were called?... they were all decent, I think. That was the first band. Yeah, Elmer Gluskin? Yeah. I like that. And then El Rongo, and then Bronson Arm from Kalamazoo.
• 6:48
Yeah, those guys were good. And it- [laughs] They were all, they were all two-piece bands. I had to go home. I was very tired. Yeah, yeah. Oh, we had been moving all day.
• 6:56
Well, there's two more bands that I didn't even see- Yeah... 'cause I left before they were done. Uh, I don't know if either of them showed. I don't know. It's hard to say. Maybe one did.
• 7:03
Cult of Nasty didn't look like they were there yet, but they could be pulling, like, that Daikaiju where they just swoop in- Mm-hmm... right at the- I know some... I, I know s-... zero minute and go, "Bam, give us..."
• 7:14
You know? Well, somebody that was supposed to play wasn't gonna make it, so I don't know if that was- Oh... them or... Yeah. That's why they started later than I was expecting.
• 7:22
[laughs] And Cult of Nasty- But just, like-... is, is very identifiable even before they start performing. It's like they... Yeah. Yeah. I did not see them, so. Right on. So good stuff. Uh- Yeah, fantastic...
• 7:34
El, El Rongo, we've seen those guys a bunch of times. And rode bikes there. I did, and locked up down at, up on the corner. [laughs] I, I could not ride my bike there. Yeah. All the- You could...
• 7:43
what was it, like, two blocks from your house? It's less than two blocks from my house. [laughs] Coast. Oh, you just have to walk across the- You just jump onto the coast of the park...
• 7:49
I actually walk acr- across the, uh, yeah, the River West Arby's- Yep... and the Mad Planet parking lot. And it's literally at the end of the River West Arby's corner. Yep, for sure. Yeah.
• 8:01
There could be a blizzard, I could get there. Yeah. So I haven't been to High Dive in quite a while. Yeah. No, I have not. Not that- I like the new painting. It, it has that submarine-y feel to it- Mm-hmm... or the...
• 8:12
I had not... Maybe I just never noticed it before, but yeah, I was like, "Huh." Was it kinda stone gray colored? And robust NA offerings. Yeah, they do have some good NAs. Yeah, they actually did.
• 8:23
[laughs] I'm a little surprised. And $3, uh... Was it- Tacates... Tacates. Mm-hmm. So, uh, I don't know if it's stone gray in there, but that's one of the two colors of the new State fat bike that just- That's-...
• 8:35
arrived in my inbox today. I didn't have an order in line... bang for the buck. Holy crap... State Bicycles, 6061. They're calling it the Trail Plus fat bike i- for whatever reason.
• 8:46
The wild berry's actually a pretty cool color. Yeah. Yeah. Wild berry's a great color. I'm, I'm, I... It is, it, it is intriguing enough to possibly check out. It's 999,
• 8:57
and, you know, it's got decent tires on it, which is not something I can say for the previous effort that they made- Right... in the fat bike- I didn't-... universe... I didn't notice the rims, though.
• 9:07
They're some kinda double wall. They're probably Alexes or something. Yeah. Um- Keep the price down... well, yeah, but weight up. And weight up. Right.
• 9:14
And I didn't, I, I, I didn't really dive into the site too much, but I was, I was sniffing in terms of weight 'cause- Yeah, I didn't s-... they can be notoriously chunky. But i- isn't this aluminum? This is aluminium.
• 9:27
Al- al- aluminium. Mm-hmm. And really- So that may be offsetting a shitload of that weight... and the tires too 'cause it's got Kenda Jag- Jug- Jugger, Jagger- Juggernauts [laughs] on it. Yeah. And that's not a bad tire.
• 9:39
Um, there's different versions of it, so I assume they're not doing the full-on lightest version there is, but, um, it, I, it is probably a better effort than the Megalith- I would-... imagine...
• 9:52
I would have to imagine, yeah. So check that out. Yeah, it, it, it- That, that's some fat bike stuff... it's a beefcake... it's a big- It's a beefcake... it's a... Yeah. Beefcake. It's a sturdy- But for a grand? Yeah.
• 10:03
It's sa- You know, it's a Shimano nine-speed. It's a 1142. It's nothing fancy, but it- It's, it'd be a great wear bike... get people into the, into the fat bike groove. Is it... I didn't look. Is it mechanical
• 10:14
or hydraulic? Oh, uh, disc brake-wise. Good question. I can look at that later on. Yeah. I, I don't recall. I can look at it too, put it in the show notes. I will, uh, I'll take a peek right now. I don't know.
• 10:25
Talk amongst yourselves. It looks like a bike. I don't even, I don't even know. Te- I don't know. Can you- Brakes, Tektro two-finger alloy, so I'm...
• 10:33
That probably means that they're hydros because- Yeah, it does, generally. Yeah, it's got a, uh, and it, it's got a f- For- The things go into the deal where that you can't see the cables. They go into the frame.
• 10:43
Internal routing. [laughs] Well, that comes out the bottom bracket. [laughs] But yeah, so I'm not sure that's a super great idea on a fat bike, but it has it. If you want it, that's where you'll find it.
• 10:53
You know who else got some fat bike stuff going on? And I... This is sort of kind of Black Friday, but also going longer and potentially devaluing my inventory.
• 11:03
I will have to make sure that they know that we still have some of that stuff if we get rid of it. 30% off ice cream trucks and Wednesdays. Mm. Wow. That puts, like, a, that puts a ice cream truck at, like, $1,650.
• 11:16
Those rarely go on sale. I, uh, there aren't that many left either. I don't know how many dealers are sitting on inventory like us, but, uh, hopefully they take care of dealers.
• 11:27
If we have to give it away with no margin, that would kinda suck. Yeah. That said, I got a small one. Somebody buy it. I want it out of here. Thank you. Is that a custom build? No, it's a stock right out of the box.
• 11:38
Oh, nice. 6,649. They were 2,349- Wow... not that long ago. And, uh, frames too, I guess, if you can find one. Wednesdays and ice cream trucks through December 11th is what I've got on my notes here. Wow.
• 11:55
And, you know, snow's coming, folks. Don't think it's not. You wanna have a- True... fat bike for that probably. That's kinda fun. Oh, boy. [sighs] Huh. Look at all those words.
• 12:09
I can't, I don't even know what they're all saying. I don't even know what's going on. I don't even know what they're all saying. Uh- I don't know, should we... We can get into this, some of the... What?
• 12:17
Oh, are we at top of the hill? Is there anything...? Oh, all right. Ring a dingy dingy. No, let's get top of the hill then we can, uh- Clang clang clang... then we can get through this- Clang clang clang...
• 12:26
the rest of this thing with some... Plus mine's getting kinda light here, Tony. Well. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Today Tony brought in the, uh, the Lakefront Bierzeit Kolsch. Bierzeit. Classic German-style beer. It is,
• 12:42
I would say, easy drinking. Mm-hmm. That's about as, about as good as I'm gonna get on a description of the thing.
• 12:47
I, uh, it's w- uh, you know, I've, as I said to these guys yesterday or, well, earlier in the week, that I don't normally gravitor- gravitort- [laughs]...
• 12:58
gravitate near a beer like this, and for some reason this was calling my name, and I'm not terribly upset about buying it. It's, it's pretty fine. Works for me. Yeah, it's, it's- Classic German style, 4.9%...
• 13:09
you know, it's easy drinking. And, uh- Tasteful... it's good. Taste- Let's see, see how it feels... tasty. Let's feel, see how it feels after this next one since we already had one before.
• 13:20
Uh, from Lakefront Brewery right here in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. That's where this stuff comes from. Yep. Uh- A fine Riverwest brewery. Hey, guess what else is happening in Milwaukee, Wisconsin?
• 13:32
Probably elsewhere in the country too. Is, is Record Store Day nationwide? Yes, it is. Yeah. And that's always Black Friday? Or they have more than one a year, I think. There's, yeah. Yeah, there's a couple.
• 13:42
A couple a year. But this one's working out on Black, uh, Friday. I have so many things I would like to purchase, and I have no money to purchase anything, so all these Black Friday deals- Mm-hmm, hmm...
• 13:55
all I can do is go, "Hey, folks. Here's some deals you might wanna get in on, but I can't do it right now." But this is gonna be around 3:00, 3:30, something like that, over at the Liliput here in Milwaukee.
• 14:11
There'll be a couple bands playing, Eric Blotorch- Fashionable East Side... whoops, Eric Blotorch and Combuster. Combuster Combuster. And DJ Eric Von Munz spinning, spinning- That's on Friday? Yep. Oh, nice.
• 14:27
So, uh- I wish I took it off. Is, is he gonna be at this event? Last time you mentioned Von Munz it was actually Crawford that was there, so. Oh, it should be him.
• 14:36
[laughs] He normally does Record Store Day, spins there, so. Yeah, I think we saw him at- He is the-... we saw him at ex, what's not... Is Liliput not- Yeah... Exclusive Company? Exactly.
• 14:45
It's no longer The Exclusive Company. Right, okay. Gotcha. So that's where I'm heading right after the show. Yeah. [laughs] I, I did, uh, just so you guys know, go to school with the guy whose...
• 14:58
I went to school with the kids whose guys, their dads started The Exclusive Company. You know? Say it with me. It was not GM Betty. Company. It was not GM Betty. Green Bay and Oshkosh.
• 15:10
[laughs] That, tho- those guys had a good run. Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Yeah. Bought many a record there. I, ooh, man. They used to put all the import Pink Floyd aside for me in Oshkosh. Oh.
• 15:23
And I would walk in, and they'd just hand me a stack. I'm like, "Oh, God. This is gonna be so expensive." [laughs] And I'd buy it all. Just never, it didn't matter.
• 15:30
Oh, speaking of which, I ran into, uh- Do you still have those? A lot of them... uh, Rushmore Bill the, uh, day after, on the next night. I went out- Oh, again?... to Girbaldy, yeah. Nice.
• 15:42
For the Mark Solheim show, which was Convert and, uh, New Process. Oh, nice. Was that good? That was really good. [laughs] Yeah. Damn. That was really, really, really good. Had too much going on.
• 15:50
Convert did a fricking cover of, uh, Forest by The Cure. It was really fucking... It was good. Wow. It was well done. Yeah. There was j- it was a good... Yeah. Nice. It was good.
• 16:04
[laughs] Two, two Bill sightings in one weekend. Yeah, exactly. Bill's like, yeah, yeah, he felt guilty. He's omnipresent. [laughs] So he wants to get on the show again. We just gotta- Oh, yeah... find the right time.
• 16:17
He, he can come any time he wants. Great guest. We can go down, buy him- We have an open door... load up the van and take the crap down there. Oh, speak of guests- Hang out with Bill...
• 16:24
uh, Andrew's downstairs with his wife at the brewery. Ah, all right. Mr. John. Are they doing any Riverwest '24 planning already, or? I think, uh, well, Ayla was there too, so I don't know. No.
• 16:35
Generally that doesn't start until the beginning of the next year. I would think, yeah. If they know what's good for them. That's a good thing. Speaking of that, uh, Seth has officially moved back to Riverwest.
• 16:45
All right. Riverwest '24. Sounds good. So it's pretty cool. Good stuff. He's happy to be back. Uh, here, I got more links on this thing.
• 16:56
Here's, here's one that I really like, but I'm trying to figure out, that's why I asked- These are a few of his favorite things... this is why I asked you if you had a skateboard deck before.
• 17:05
I got these legs, they're behind you, uh, for making a table out of a skateboard deck. So they just basically bolt right into the- That's cool... truck holes- Oh, nice... which is cool. Yeah, yeah.
• 17:15
Except the only decks I have are, like, concave. Oh. So I don't know how well that works for a table. Right. Right.
• 17:21
It looks cool, but do you put your drink on there and it kind of- Which tips over and- It's not that much concave. I wanna- Those are pretty cool. Where'd you get those?
• 17:29
Well, there's a place called Hairpin Legs that makes this stuff. They make all sorts of different legs for people that build tables and whatnot.
• 17:36
Uh, and they make them in, like, maybe two-inch increments too, so depending on how tall you want your table, you can order them low or high. Hmm. Uh, that's on the, uh, show notes, hairpinlegs.com.
• 17:47
It, I don't know, they probably have a Black Friday deal, I would imagine. Everybody else seems to. Right. What's the story with every brewery having a beer release? I, that just weirds me out. On Black Friday? Yeah.
• 17:58
There's so m- I mean, every brewery has got a- 'Cause, 'cause everybody's out and aboot. There's people getting up early to wait in line at Lakefront. Yeah. To buy a beer. That's been for a while. [laughs] I know.
• 18:08
I, you know? Come on, people. I will not be one of those people- I'm not gonna be one of those people... in that line I did, I did it one year, but I did wait in line.
• 18:19
I woke up to do it, and then I looked at the line [laughs] You left? And I was like, "No, no, no, no, no, no." Do they have a, do they have, like, a line cam outside the brewery?
• 18:26
I, well, I remember when Michael Bissonette would send me pictures, and he'd be in line, and I'm like, "What time did you get there?" He's like, "6:00," and there's, you know, 60 people in front of him.
• 18:34
I'm like- I guess it's kind of- Now, now, now-... like, community- I will, I will say-... get together thingy... I would not wanna do that because, of course, it is day after Thanksgiving.
• 18:44
Now, if it happens to be in May- Yeah... and it involves a bike race- Yeah... I might wait in line that long. Yeah. Plus, it's gonna be, like, 26 degrees outside or something. Right? Or was.
• 18:56
Wait, it was 26 degrees- It is... this morning. Yeah, it, it is today. Is, is, is. Yeah. Gotta get your tenses right. Oh, man. I wonder how many people will get this- No... listening to the podcast.
• 19:06
I, I was already done with this before we started it, so. Well, you know, I started it. I'm sorry. I'm not sorry. Sorry. [laughs] That's how they started it. That's how El Rongo started their set. All right.
• 19:15
Sorry, not sorry. Sorry, not sorry. I'm sorry. Whoa. It was awesome. What you got go- oh, now more people. Now I'm kicking. Now kicking shit over too. So, yep, well, Black Friday.
• 19:24
Here's some other Black Friday deals if, uh, if, if you're into the biking thing. Tony, Tony still hasn't pulled the trigger on the electric deal, but they're giving you $590 worth of stuff if you buy their cargo bike.
• 19:36
Extremely useful stuff too. Like, a, what is it? It's a rack and a- The, the Orbiter for, so you can put kids in it. Yeah. And two pads. Yeah. Um, the, uh, the mirrors I don't care about. Um, that's fine. But the, uh,
• 19:51
the two double wide panniers, they each hold two bags of groceries. That seems, you know, very useful. Do they, you don't, do you get the extra battery?
• 20:03
You get the extra battery for, well, y- if you buy it at the $1,599. Yeah, dual battery, ready package, mirrors, bike lock, essentials package, two cushions, and running boards, and the loaded up package.
• 20:13
Oh, yeah, the running boards too. Orbiter XL cargo pannier bags too. Yeah, that's, I mean, you've been talking about this thing for- Months... six months now or something. You get- But-...
• 20:26
uh, get, get, get on that horse. Get, get on that horse- Yeah, man... and ride. It's just, wow. I, I was thinking that the 150 miles is a long ways to go, but you'd only have to charge it once a week or something. Right.
• 20:38
The, the other thing cool about it just, you know, is, is I was like, "Hmm, I wonder if people ride these in the winter?" But one of the accessories is bogeys. Really? [laughs] Nice.
• 20:49
And so, and they're pretty good looking bogeys too. They're big. I'm like, yeah, I could see riding this thing through the winter if I got some studded 20s. You gotta have a place for you...
• 20:57
It can't be super cold, 'cause your battery's not gonna like being real cold. Take them in with you. Take them in. As long as you're using them, they're fine. Right. If, once you park them, not so great.
• 21:07
They also have a funky, if you don't use them for I think it's 48 hours, they shut off. So they go into sleep mode, so, like, hibernate, so they don't discharge too fast and ruin the battery. Good on you.
• 21:18
It's a, it's a pretty good... I mean, these guys are bang for the buck. I can't justify buying, you know, they have the heaviest payload. They can carry 450 pounds. Um, everyone's like, "They don't have suspension."
• 21:31
I'm like, "I don't want suspension." They got big old fat tires on them. They got three-inch tires, you know? And- 20, they're 20 inch... 20 inch by three. Yeah.
• 21:38
And, you know, yeah, I'm not gonna use it to go 30 miles an hour like these people are doing. It's, but it's a great way to get my kid to school and back. 30 miles an hour, he might bounce out of that.
• 21:48
Yeah, he'd, he'd have a blast. Got a seatbelt in there? Um, I can rig that up. I could really see him going to- Packing peanuts... like, Libby, Montana, with me,
• 21:58
just, like, for a day out, just to get away, you know, so Molly has a, a little bit of a break. Go watch some volleyball. You know? I don't know, just go out and have fun. [laughs] See some deer.
• 22:07
Yeah, we took a, we took a e- an e-bike roll up that way. It's been a couple years, but. It's fun, man. Yeah. That was a good test for bikes. And with 150-mile range, yeah. Don't worry about it. Should be fine.
• 22:20
It's 50 miles throttle only. Oh, the one thing that disappoints me, it's not a thumb throttle, it's a grip shift. I'm not sure I don't like that idea- Right. I don't like that...
• 22:29
because my thumb, if I'm, if I'm gonna use it regularly, my thumb would get tired. I don't, y- I would just rip, rappity rip the throttle with the, uh, the twisty thing. You could just set her in a position and bzz.
• 22:43
Yeah. That's not how I use an e-bike, but- Oh... some people do. [laughs] Hey, your folks over there at Chrome, the guys that make bags, Chrome bags- Bogs...
• 22:54
they actually have, they actually have up to 60% off, but I think there's a lot of 25% stuff off on there. Yeah. Your Chrome stuff, folks, Chrome- It's well made. It's well made. Yeah. They got, uh, is the, um-
• 23:06
Chrome drop... Swerve? Is that the jacket they sell that's so damn bulletproof? Oh, no, Swerve is their own brand. Oh. Like the pants I'm- That's right... currently wearing... Swerve, Swerve makes Milwaukee.
• 23:16
That's the, the hoodie that's indestructible. The, yeah, that's a good one. The, and their, these pants are indestructible too. I heard you say that. They're, they're really, really good pants. I like them.
• 23:26
Well, we digressed away from Chrome just like that. Doesn't matter, 'cause we're talking about Roadrunner bags too. Ooh, I'm wearing one tonight. Honestly- Road, Road, Roadrunner...
• 23:35
I don't know, I'm not exactly sure what their, their Black Friday deal will be. You know why? 'Cause you gotta check it today. But preview what you want so you can grab up on it, because they make good stuffs. Mm-mm.
• 23:47
Where's mine? Oh, mine's over there. I, and we all have Road, many of us in this room, several- Of us... have Roadrunner bags. [laughs] A couple of us do anyway. Oh, here's a Michael, here's a Michael pick. Clutch Merch.
• 24:00
Clutch Merch. Oh, yeah, they got some Clutch Merch. Clutch Merch is, uh- What'd you get?... a pretty good deal. Um, just still sniffing around it. All right.
• 24:07
[laughs] But there's a lot of stuff there that's, uh- There's a handful... that's, I guess- Some on sale and some not...
• 24:11
that's a, I'm sure that's a- Not necessarily Black Friday, it's just- There's a lot of stuff on sale there... some of that Doom Saloon stuff, for sure. That's been good stuff, I'll tell you. Uh, if you're in-
• 24:23
I just got an email from World of Bikes in Iowa City. They're having a sale down there on Black Friday and Small Business Saturday Saturday I think both days. You might wanna check with them.
• 24:32
A lot of people this year are not open on Black Friday. So they can be open for Small Saturday? Well, I mean, everybody online obviously is, but, you know. Yeah, but- Well, just, like, spend time with the family.
• 24:45
Don't be- Right... don't buy into the- Don't be so commercial... don't buy into the- Yeah...
• 24:48
the horrid amount of crap at, at cost or less, like those folks at Wiggle who I think went bankrupt [laughs] out there in the UK. Speaking of that, you talking finance? They're getting stuff away though. Yeah.
• 25:00
[laughs] Yes. Yikes Crypto, baby. Yeah. Don't worry about it. It'll be fine. Uh, crypto's gonna crumble. Just, uh- I'm worried... uh, it, it- I could be worried about that... it's all about regulations and stuff.
• 25:12
They're just trying to make it so that, uh, Congress, who doesn't know anything about cryptocurrency, can make laws about something they have no idea of- Mm... rules and such. Hey, not bike stuff, though.
• 25:27
Here's a couple other Black Friday things. Pez, 20% off or more at the Pez site in case you need- Ah, I just- In case you need a Grogu- Ooh... or some sort of Pez dispenser that you- I just bought some Pez from the-...
• 25:39
don't already have... Wally World down the road here the other day. The candy itself or the actual dispenser as well? Just the candy. Very good. 'Cause they had sours. They had a- I wonder how old the-...
• 25:49
big old pack of sours for two bucks, and I was like, "Yeah, dude. I think I will" I don't know. I, oh, they must be in the other room. I, my ki- I wonder how old those are now, my KISS Pez dispensers [laughs] in there.
• 25:59
There's no ants in there yet, so they haven't started eating the candy. [laughs] Oh, yeah, because that was my hunt, my, my hunt that I [laughs] had, had to do, um, for one of the recipes for yesterday's feast. Mm.
• 26:15
Finding Pez? Finding candy. Oh. Red Hots. You know how hard it is to find Red Hots when it's not fricking Halloween? I mean, not Halloween, uh, uh, Valentine's Day? Hard. Very hard.
• 26:26
I didn't even know Red Hots were a thing anymore. I know. They're delicious. But they're hard to find.
• 26:31
Don't eat no candy no more much, 'cause, uh, I ate all the candy I could possibly eat when I was younger, and now I can't eat it anymore, so- That's what I- I don't eat much, but I love Red Hots That's how I made my sweet, my sweet potatoes.
• 26:41
Red Hots? I melt in the Red Hots into the glaze and- Oh... so it's got the spice of cinnamons. [laughs] That sounds- You are legendary... and this is gonna be a very... It was very tasty.
• 26:55
I don't know why I'm talking like that dude from [laughs] All right, one last one here.
• 27:01
Uh, my favorite socks, since we all talked about socks, Tony's got his MSC socks on, Michael's got his Columbia socks on, and- They're pink too. I just- Real men wear pink...
• 27:10
just for some reason, my favorite socks ended up on the list before everybody showed up. They are- [laughs] They're bright socks. They are- It's hilarious... think they're made in North Kakalaki maybe. Kakalaki.
• 27:20
And they are a dual layer sock, which I, of, came upon because of the blistering from walking 17 miles a day, blah, blah, blah.
• 27:29
But they're cool, and you can buy three, get one free, so that's like- And they last forever... something like 25% off or some such. Nice.
• 27:35
Uh, they, they last, I would say, 'cause I, I would probably rotate through, like, maybe six pairs or something. Right.
• 27:42
And they probably last a couple years, and then you'll wear through that first layer, but you still got the second layer. Right. But they, they- I can, I can-... they do guarantee your feet.
• 27:51
If you're a, if you're a, a newbie and you're gonna go hiking and you don't want blisters, if you get them, I think they'll, they'll buy you a lollipop or something. [laughs] Right on. Little foreign to play.
• 28:01
Wah, wah, wah, wah. Mm. I know we talked about events last week. There's some stuff in the show notes. You can probably figure that out if you're in the bike industry. Yeah. CABIN's coming up.
• 28:09
Uh- Just gonna be that Santa... we still got stuff to sell, and, uh, that's, that's all we got for you this week, folks. Meow, meow, meow. I don't know what we're gonna do now. JK's going to, uh, or went to...
• 28:20

• 28:31
It's like I saw everything in the trailer. Now let's just- Yep, that's right. Now the rest is just fill-... give me a little exposition of the, you know, the plot Love that.
• 28:39
We're gonna have to raid his, uh, candy bag before he leaves too. [laughs] Well, well. All right, everybody, come back next week and get more of the same. If you don't like it- Mm-hmm... tough. Kick rocks. Kick rocks.
• 28:50
