- Craig: Well week two is here, so let's jump into who we should start and who we should sit this week in fantasy football. Welcome back to the kitchen here on Fat Daddy Sports. I am Craig. If you're new here, drop a like, drop a comment, hit that subscribe button. We are on a journey right now to hit our first 100 subs on this new channel. And today we are talking about starts and sits for the week two fantasy football schedule starting on Thursday night when the Detroit Lions head to Buffalo to take on the Bills in their new stadium. We are looking at the Detroit side of things. Starting off with quarterback Jared Goff, you can see here he is a start. I think this could be a high-scoring game. I know that Thursday night football is not typically that, but I think with Buffalo opening their new stadium, they're going to want to put up a lot of points. And I think Detroit is obviously capable of that. I think Jared Goff could have a very big game just out of necessity in this one. Jameer Gibbs is obviously a start. Amon Ra is obviously a start. Jamison Williams, a slow start to the season in week one, but I think he gets it going. Maybe has a big touchdown or two in this one. And then Sam Laporta is obviously a start as well. On the Buffalo side of things, not a whole lot different from week one. You've got Josh Allen and James Cooks as obvious starts. Ray Davis is sitting. DJ Moore as the wide receiver one option. I guess we can start. We'll throw Khalil Shakir on here. If you don't have any better options, I guess you could start Shakir. I think he seems to be Josh Allen's safety blanket. At times he has a fairly safe floor. It's just not a real high floor. Shakir could be a start, but I'm gonna sit him this week. And then Dalton Kincaid had a very nice week one. I'm gonna roll with that in week two. I think he could be a buy high candidate for trades right now. ⁓ I could be wrong. We've been wrong about that in the past with Dalton Kincaid, but a very nice week one. I'm encouraged by it. Going over to Sunday, we are looking at the Atlanta Falcons versus the Carolina Panthers. As of the recording of this video, Cooper Rush is QB1 there in Atlanta. He is going to be a sit for me. Tua is obviously a sit. Even if he is healthy, I'm not starting Tua. Bijan Robinson is a start every week, without a doubt. I don't care who the quarterback is, if it's Uncle Rico, if it's Joe Montana. It doesn't matter to me. I am starting B. John Robinson and I am sitting Drake London and Kyle Pitts. I don't think that they have a capable quarterback of getting them the ball on a consistent basis, maybe even with Tua in there as a starter. I'm gonna sit both those guys this week. On the Carolina side of things, coming off a very good game in week one are the Panthers. I'll start Bryce Young this week. I mean, he showed a lot of promise there in week one. Chuba Hubbard is the RB one there. So I will start him and sit Jonathan Brooks. Tet McMillan and Jalen Coker are easy starts for me this week. As long as Coker is healthy, as of the recording of this, we haven't heard a whole lot about his injuries till early in the week right now. But hopefully he will be good to go this week because he looked really, really good in week one. And then Darren Waller, I know that he caught a touchdown in week one. I think it stood. Maybe it got called back. He definitely caught a touchdown, but I can't remember if it got called back or not. But regardless, I'm sitting Darren Waller. I don't want to be part of that. Over to Baltimore versus New Orleans. Start as many pieces to this Baltimore offense as you can get. Lamar, Henry, Zay Flowers, if he's healthy and good to go. Jacoby Lane, I don't know that he's gonna be good to go. I don't know that I want to start him. Kind of a slow start, but I guess if you have to start him, you can, but he's probably like a flex play for you. ⁓ Rashad Bateman, if Jacoby Lane andor Zay Flowers are out, I think Bateman is a definite start. And then Mark Andrews is a start for me. On the New Orleans side of things, kind of the same same story. Tyler Shuck is a start. ETN is a start. Sorry. Travis Achan is a start. ⁓ Kendrick Miller, keep an eye on it, but he is a sip for right now. Chris Olave and Devon Vele are starts, and Juwan Johnson is a start. Over to another good offense in the Chicago Bears. We are starting everybody here. Williams, DeAndre Swift, Kyle Menungay, Luther Burden, ⁓ Roma Dunze, and Colston Lovelin. I know L Lovelin had a slow start, but it's not going to last every week. Odunze and Burden didn't have the greatest weeks. They're going to get that pass game going. The run game looked phenomenal in week one. I think this week maybe is a little bit more ⁓ pass heavy. On the Minnesota side of things, ⁓ Kyler Murray, if he's healthy, we'll start him. I don't think he's going to be ready to go though. So Carson Wentz, I would start him if I had Carson Wentz. If you pick up Carson Wentz, you're either in a deeper league or you had absolutely nobody at the quarterback position. So if you have him, you probably have to start him out of necessity. He showed good rapport with Justin Jefferson in week one. I think that the same could be true here in a game where they should have to throw quite a bit in this one. Jordan Mason, if he's healthy, I guess I start him. ⁓ he seems to be the RB two there in Minnesota, but I think I probably would still roll him out there as a flex play. Aaron Jones, RB one, he is a start for me. Justin Jefferson is a start. Jordan Addison and Juwan Jennings are both sits. And then TJ Hawkinson is a start for me. I think that Hawkinson is kind of that lower end ⁓ guy. He's probably a high end tight end too, but I feel confident he gets in the end zone in this one. Looking at the Houston Texans versus the Cincinnati Bengals, CJ Stroud is a sit for me. David Montgomery is a start. Woody Marks is a sit, Nico Collins start, and Dalton Schultz is a start. If you're if you have Schultz, again, you're probably in a deeper league or you don't really have a whole lot of tight end. So you probably need to start him. On the Cincinnati things, better days are ahead. Burrow, Brown, Chase, and Higgins are all starts every week, without a question. Mike Gasicki, I am sitting in this one. I know he scored in week one, but we're gonna sit him down this week. Moving over to the Steelers versus the Patriots, and you've got Aaron Rodgers, Rico Dowdle, Jalen Warren, DK Metcalf, Michael Pittman, and Pat Fryermouth. I am sitting him all in this game. I don't like the matchup against the Patriots defense. I think that that defense is frustrated with how things ended in Seattle in week one. I think they're gonna come out swinging a lot heavier this week. And I don't want any part of that Pittsburgh offense most weeks, especially against the Patriots defense. On the New England side of things, we've got Drake May as a starter. Ramondre Stevenson with that volume, he is an absolute start for me. Trivion Henderson, still no word if he'll be back this week right now or not. But Romeo Dobbs is probably a start. I mean, AJ Brown is out. I think Dobbs is now that wide receiver one for the Patriots. I start him, but I temper expectation. That Collins I have sitting right now. I just don't know that he'll have the snap percentage that he needs to really contribute to your fantasy lineup. Demario Douglas, I think he if he's out there, he's gonna get targets. I mean, he had seven targets in week one. I think if you need a flex player, Demario Douglas is a very good flex play this week. And then Hunter Henry, he's got that trust with Drake May. I think they're gonna lean on that tight end a little bit more this week. Over to the Jets versus the Packers. On the Jets side of things, we are sitting Geno Smith, starting Brees Hall, sitting Braylon Allen, starting Garrett Wilson. Omar Cooper is still banged up, kind of a week-to-week thing. We're obviously sitting him if he's not there, even if he is there. ⁓ Ad Nye Mitchell, we're sitting for now. And then Kenyon Sadiq, I think better days are ahead, but right now I'm holding him on the bench and just kind of stashing him. I'm not putting him in my starting lineup quite yet. Over to the Packers side of things, Jordan Love is a start for me this week. I think that they could score a lot of points in this game. They're probably really Really ticked off with how things went last week in Minnesota. ⁓ and I think they come out swinging a lot more this week. I am sitting both running backs in Marshawn Lloyd and Chris Brooks. I don't want any part of either of those guys. They didn't look good. They kind of split carries. I just I'm staying away from both of those guys. Christian Watson, obvious start. ⁓ Jaden Reed, a pretty good play in week one. I think better days are ahead for him. I'm gonna start him. I don't want him to boom on my bench. And then Mastike Golden, same thing. He had a very nice week one, but the talent is there. He just needs the targets. And I think this year might be his breakout year. And then Tucker Kraft, he is obviously starting every week when you have him because you took him as your tight end one. Looking at the Buccaneers versus the Browns on the Tampa Bay side of things, Baker Mayfield, Bucky Irving, Omeka Abuka, and Chris Godwin are all starts for me this week. I'm staying away from Gainwell and Otten. I think that that pass game gets going a little bit better this week. They had a very weird game in week one against the Bengals, a lot of turnovers, and just never really got it going. I think Abuka and Godwin both get going this week. On the Cleveland side of things, I don't want any part of it. I never do want any part of it. But Judkins, I would start if I had him. Temper expectations. I think he's a very low end RB two this week. And then Harold Fannon Jr. I guess you probably have to start him because you don't have any better options if you drafted him as your tight end one. For the Titans and the Eagles, we are sitting Cam Ward. We'll go with Tony Pollard again for another week. I think he's a very low end RB two, probably a little bit better than last week, but still not a great week ahead for Tony Pollard. Tajay Spears, I could see him getting more involved in the pass game, but We're sitting him this week. Carnell Tate, I'm gonna give one more shot. I'd like to see a lot more this week out of him and that offense. Wandell Robinson, we're gonna sit, and Gunnarhelm, we will sit as well. On the Philadelphia side of things, we are looking at Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, Devonta Smith, and Dontavian Wicks, as well as Dallas Goddard as starts this week. Dontavian Wicks caught a couple touchdowns. I think he could be a lot more involved. He kind of operated as that wide receiver two for for the Eagles. ⁓ Makai Lemon kind of played second fiddle to him. And maybe as the year goes on, Mikhail Lemon starts to break out and take over that wide receiver two role. But for right now, Dontavian Wicks is the wide receiver two in Philadelphia. The Denver Broncos and the Jacksonville Jaguars, ⁓ this Denver offense looked very, very bad in week one, but we're gonna go ahead and We'll roll Bo Nicks out there again. If you have him on your team, you probably don't have much better options, but we'll stick with him for one more week. J.K. Dobbins, I think, is the running back one there. We'll see. Jalen Waddell, you gotta start him if you have him. Sutton and Bryant. Sutton, I think, is probably the wide receiver that three there. I don't want any part of him. Bryant had quite a bit of targets, but he played less than 50% of the snaps. So do with that what you want. I think as the year goes on, Pat Bryant is definitely going to operate as the wide receiver two there in Denver. If you need to start him this week, you go ahead and start him. ⁓ he's probably a flex play for sure. And then Evan Ingram, I am sitting him this week for the Jaguars. This is an offense that I think is going to score a lot of points, a lot of weeks. Maybe not this week going across the country, but we will see. I'm going to start Trevor Lawrence. I'm going to start Tootin, Brian Thomas. I he I think is still hurt. Haven't heard anything yet on him. Parker Washington is a start. Jacoby Myers, I guess you could probably start him if Brian Thomas doesn't play, but right now I'm sitting him as well. And then Brenton Strange, I'll sit as well. I think Parker Washington, the entire offense runs through him. Bashell Tootin is gonna get more and more work as the year goes on as the RB1. But I would start those two guys and Trevor Lawrence for the Jaguars. And we will talk about an offense that really struggled. The Los Angeles Chargers. Holy smokes, I was very high on them. Took the bait and they slapped me right across the face with it. But we'll fall for it again this week. We'll start Justin Herbert and Omari and Hampton. ⁓ Ladd McConkey, if he's out there, you gotta start him. ⁓ he's probably your wide receiver too, maybe your wide receiver one in some builds. Quentin Johnson, we're gonna sit for now. Unless Ladd McConkey is out, then I will fire up Quentin Johnston. And then David Njoku, I think, is kind of the same boat. If Ladd is out, I'll start Najoku. If he's not, I don't want any part of him or any of the tight ends for the Chargers. On the Las Vegas side of things, we're sitting cousins, we're starting Genty. We are sitting the wide receivers, Naylor and Tucker. And then Bowers, if he's out there, you got to start him. And regardless if Bowers is out there, I think we will start Michael Michael Mayer either way. Moving over to the Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks. This one pains me a little bit. I was really high on the Marvin Harrison Jr. breakout, and it still could happen. I don't want to overreact after one week, but it wasn't good in week one. So we're going to go ahead and sit him for now. We will start Tyler Algier. He seems to be RB1 for now in Arizona. Michael Wilson and Trey McBride are absolute starts for me. Jeremiah Love, it depends on your build. I mean, if he is your RB2, then you probably have to start him. If you don't have better options, you start him and you hope for as good of a game as he had last week. I think his workload is going to increase a little bit each and every week. And by midseason, he's going to absolutely dominate. But for right now, it seems to be Tyler Algier getting those carries, getting that work. On the Seattle side of things, I don't want any part of Drew Locke. ⁓ I don't really want any part of the running back situation there. They are in a very much a committee. G A S N, I'll start and I will temper the heck out of expectations. He obviously had a touchdown in week one that really shouldn't have been a touchdown, but he pulled away from the defenders, and that's who he is. He's capable of doing that on any play. So if I have him, I have to have him in my lineup. Shaheed and Cup, I'm sitting, and as well as the tight end AJ Barner. Going over to the NFC East, the Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Commanders on the Dallas side of things, I want all of those pieces. I want Prescott, I want Williams, I want Lamb, I want Pickens. I'll stay away from Jake Ferguson for now. But those other guys, that offense is gonna get it figured out. They'll be fine. Put those guys in your lineup without any question. On the Washington side of things, Jaden Daniels, you're starting. Bill Krosky Merritt, I'm starting for sure. I think he's the RB1. Rashad White definitely eats into his workload just like we thought would happen. Rashad White gets that passing work. ⁓ but I think Bill Krosky Merritt has a good chance of scoring a touchdown each and every week. Terry McLaurin and Stephon Diggs both should be very viable wide receiver two options. Antonio Williams, I'm keeping an eye on. He looked very, very good in week one. Maybe didn't have the numbers to show for it, but I think going forward, he's gonna be one of those rookies that takes over down the stretch. So keep an eye on Antonio Williams and then Chico Conquo. I'm sitting as well. Out to San Francisco for the 49ers and the Miami Dolphins for San Francisco. I'm not panicking on that offense at all. Brock Purdy looked amazing in week one. We'll start him. McCaffrey we're starting. Calen Black, we're sitting, I think. He may have his own flex value. I mean, if he gets the work that he got in week one, I just have a feeling coming back home, they're not going to have that same game plan that they had in week one in Australia. I think it's going to tip more to the CMC workload. So I'm going to sit Kalen Black if I did get him off of waivers or if I had him on my team all along. I'll sit him for this week and see how it goes. Mike Evans is obviously a star as well as Debo Samuel and as well as. George Kittle. On the Miami side of things, Malik Willis, we're gonna sit for now, but I am keeping a very close eye on him. I think his rushing upside is very, very safe. ⁓ Devon A-chan will start, and it's gonna be ugly, but we'll start him. And then the three wide receivers, we're gonna sit Chris Bell. We're gonna start the other two guys that that played a lot better in week one or had more targets, I guess. Malik Washington and Caleb Douglas. I like to have them as my flex. I definitely don't feel comfortable having them as a wide receiver too, but we'll go ahead and put them in the flex for now. And then moving over to the Nightcap, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Indianapolis Colts. We are starting this Chiefs offense. Mahomes, Walker, Rice, and Kelsey. We are starting all of those guys. Worthy is a sit for now. I have a real, as a Chiefs fan, I have a real feeling that Worthy may be taking over as the wide receiver one. I had that feeling all offseason. And then in week one, he out-targeted Rasheed Rice. Rasheed Rice was kind of an afterthought. He went a long time without even having a catch, and then he Got a catch and he scored a touchdown. But I just have a feeling that Worthy is going to be that guy on those intermediate throws that they find throughout the season and he's going to end up having more targets at the end of the year. We'll see how it all shakes out. Maybe I'm crazy, but keep an eye on Xavier Worthy. For the Colts, we are sitting Danny Dimes. He looked absolutely atrocious in week one, had no running value, and that's where his value is as a fantasy quarterback. I don't want any part of him until he shows me consistently that he is going to run the ball and that he's good from that injury. Jonathan Taylor is an automatic start every week. Alec Pierce is a sit for now, but I am trying to acquire Alec Pierce everywhere I can. I think he's gonna end up having a big year. Josh Downs and Keenan Allen are both sits. Tyler Warren is obviously a start. And for our final game, the Monday night wrap-up here with the Los Angeles Rams and the New York Giants. This could be a very fun game to watch next Monday night. Stafford is a start. Kyron and Corum are starts. Puka and Devante are starts. Terrence Ferguson, I am staying away from him. I got burned last week in a league by starting him, thinking I was gonna strike gold and fell flat on my face. In my defense, it's a very deep lead. On the Giants side of things. ⁓ we are playing Jackson Dart. We are playing Scataboo Singletary. We're sitting for now, but we're keeping an eye on that RB2 situation for the Giants. ⁓ neighbors were starting and likely we're starting. I am tempering expectations on both of those guys, though, against a good Rams defense. But you got to start those guys if you have them in your lineup. They were too good in week one. And neighbors has obviously shown that he can be very, very dynamic. ⁓ but that's all I've got for you guys today. These are the starts and sits for week two. Let me know down in the comments who did I miss, who did I get wrong. Let me know. Drop a like, hit that subscribe button, and I will catch you guys on the next one. See ya.
