- 0:00Speaker 1: There comes a moment in your life when you have
- 0:02Speaker 1: to discover that being alone is not the same thing
- 0:04Speaker 1: as being abandoned. There are seasons when the room gets quiet,
- 0:09Speaker 1: the phone stops ringing, familiar faces disappear, and suddenly you
- 0:13Speaker 1: realize you are standing by yourself. And that moment can
- 0:16Speaker 1: either break you or build you. Because sometimes God will
- 0:19Speaker 1: allow you to walk through a lonely season. Not because
- 0:23Speaker 1: he has forgotten you, but because he is teaching you
- 0:25Speaker 1: how to stand without applause. You have spent too much
- 0:28Speaker 1: time measuring your strength by who stays. You have allowed
- 0:32Speaker 1: somebody else's presence to determine your confidence. Somebody else's approval
- 0:36Speaker 1: to determine your worth. Somebody else's attention to determine whether
- 0:39Speaker 1: you feel valuable. But there is a strength that begins
- 0:43Speaker 1: when you finally say, even if nobody claps for me,
- 0:46Speaker 1: I will still keep moving. Even if nobody understands me,
- 0:49Speaker 1: I will still believe. Even if nobody walks beside me,
- 0:52Speaker 1: I will still walk forward. Loneliness can expose everything you
- 0:56Speaker 1: are using to hold yourself together. And that is why
- 0:59Speaker 1: you must become stronger within. You have to become so
- 1:02Speaker 1: grounded that silence doesn't frighten you. so secure that rejection
- 1:06Speaker 1: doesn't destroy you. So confident in your purpose that somebody
- 1:09Speaker 1: walking away doesn't make you walk away from yourself. There
- 1:13Speaker 1: is a difference between being alone and being empty. You
- 1:16Speaker 1: can be alone and still be full of purpose. You
- 1:18Speaker 1: can be alone and still have dreams. You can be
- 1:21Speaker 1: alone and still have faith. You can be alone and
- 1:23Speaker 1: still be becoming. Never confuse an empty chair with an
- 1:27Speaker 1: empty life. Sometimes the people you thought you needed were
- 1:30Speaker 1: only occupying space that was preventing you from hearing your
- 1:34Speaker 1: own thoughts. Sometimes the crowd was so loud that you
- 1:37Speaker 1: couldn't hear the voice inside you telling you to rise.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Sometimes you needed the silence because the silence was going
- 1:43Speaker 1: to introduce you to a version of yourself you had
- 1:45Speaker 1: never met before. So don't run from every lonely season.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Learn from it. Grow through it. Build in it. Because
- 1:53Speaker 1: when you become comfortable standing by yourself, you stop begging
- 1:56Speaker 1: people to stay who have already decided to leave. You
- 1:59Speaker 1: stop chasing people who don't recognize your value. You stop
- 2:02Speaker 1: explaining yourself to people committed to misunderstanding you. You stop
- 2:06Speaker 1: shrinking yourself just to keep somebody else comfortable. And you
- 2:10Speaker 1: begin to understand something powerful your life cannot be built
- 2:13Speaker 1: entirely around who is present. Your life must also be
- 2:17Speaker 1: built around who you are becoming. Your strength must come
- 2:19Speaker 1: from deeper places. Because people change. Relationships change. Circumstances change.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Seasons change. But the person you are becoming has to
- 2:27Speaker 1: learn how to remain standing when everything around you shifts.
- 2:31Speaker 1: There are seasons in life when loneliness feels like punishment.
- 2:35Speaker 1: You look around and wonder, why am I here by myself?
- 2:38Speaker 1: Why did they leave? Why did the people I thought
- 2:41Speaker 1: would stay decide to walk away? Why does it feel
- 2:43Speaker 1: like everybody else is somebody, well, I have to carry
- 2:46Speaker 1: this season alone. But what if the silence is not punishment?
- 2:50Speaker 1: What if the silence is preparation? What if the empty
- 2:53Speaker 1: room is not evidence that your life is empty? but
- 2:56Speaker 1: evidence that you finally have space to hear what you
- 2:59Speaker 1: could not hear when everything around you was loud. Sometimes
- 3:02Speaker 1: you are so busy listening to everybody else that you
- 3:05Speaker 1: never hear yourself. You hear their opinions. You hear their expectations.
- 3:09Speaker 1: You hear their criticism. You hear their demands. You hear
- 3:12Speaker 1: their fears. You hear their doubts. You hear what they
- 3:16Speaker 1: think you should become. But somewhere underneath all of that
- 3:19Speaker 1: noise is a voice inside you saying, there is more
- 3:22Speaker 1: in you. And sometimes you have to be separated from
- 3:25Speaker 1: the crowd long enough to hear it. You have to
- 3:27Speaker 1: understand that solitude and abandonment are not always the same thing.
- 3:32Speaker 1: There is a difference between being left by people and
- 3:34Speaker 1: being left by purpose. People can leave. People can change
- 3:38Speaker 1: their minds. Purpose can remain. People can stop believing in you.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Purpose can remain. People can close a door. Purpose can remain.
- 3:47Speaker 1: So stop allowing the departure of people to convince you
- 3:50Speaker 1: that the destination has disappeared. Your journey did not end
- 3:53Speaker 1: because somebody stopped walking with you. Your story did not
- 3:56Speaker 1: become meaningless because somebody turned the page. Your value did
- 4:00Speaker 1: not decrease because somebody failed to recognize it. There are
- 4:04Speaker 1: seasons when you have to walk without the reassurance of
- 4:06Speaker 1: familiar faces. And those seasons can be painful, but they
- 4:09Speaker 1: can also be powerful. Because when everybody is around, you
- 4:14Speaker 1: may never discover what you can do by yourself. When
- 4:17Speaker 1: somebody is always encouraging you, you may never learn how
- 4:20Speaker 1: to encourage yourself. When somebody is always solving the problem,
- 4:24Speaker 1: you may never discover your own problem, solving ability. When
- 4:28Speaker 1: somebody is always telling you what to do, you may
- 4:30Speaker 1: never develop the confidence to make your own decisions. Sometimes
- 4:34Speaker 1: you don't discover your strength until you have no choice
- 4:37Speaker 1: but to use it. You don't discover your courage while
- 4:40Speaker 1: everything is comfortable. You discover courage when your hands are
- 4:43Speaker 1: shaking and you still take the next step. You discover
- 4:46Speaker 1: faith when you cannot see the entire road and still
- 4:49Speaker 1: decide to move forward. You discover resilience when life knocks
- 4:53Speaker 1: you down and you realize that you are capable of
- 4:56Speaker 1: standing again. You discover your voice when there is nobody
- 4:59Speaker 1: around to speak for you. And you discover your identity
- 5:02Speaker 1: when you stop defining yourself through other people. That is
- 5:05Speaker 1: why you cannot waste your lonely season. If life has
- 5:08Speaker 1: become quiet, don't spend every minute complaining about the silence.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Use the silence. Read, think, pray, reflect, learn, build, create, heal, plan, develop.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Ask yourself questions you were too distracted to ask before.
- 5:21Speaker 1: What do I really want? What matters to me? What
- 5:23Speaker 1: kind of person am I becoming? What habits are holding
- 5:26Speaker 1: me back? What relationships have been draining me? What fears
- 5:30Speaker 1: have been controlling my decisions? What dreams have I abandoned
- 5:34Speaker 1: because I was afraid of failing? What have I been
- 5:36Speaker 1: tolerating simply because I was afraid of being alone? These
- 5:39Speaker 1: questions may hurt, but sometimes painful questions produce powerful transformation.
- 5:44Speaker 1: You cannot grow if you refuse to look honestly at yourself,
- 5:48Speaker 1: and loneliness has a way of removing distractions. When the
- 5:51Speaker 1: room becomes quiet, you can no longer hide behind the noise.
- 5:54Speaker 1: You begin to see yourself clearly. You begin to recognize patterns.
- 5:58Speaker 1: You begin to notice how often you sought validation. You
- 6:01Speaker 1: begin to realize how much of your life was spent
- 6:04Speaker 1: trying to be accepted. you begin to understand that you
- 6:07Speaker 1: were sometimes holding onto people not because they were good
- 6:10Speaker 1: for you, but because you were afraid of what their
- 6:13Speaker 1: absence would make you feel. And that realization can become
- 6:17Speaker 1: the beginning of freedom. Because once you understand that you
- 6:20Speaker 1: don't need to chase people to prove that you are worthy,
- 6:22Speaker 1: you begin to stand differently. You stop begging. You stop forcing.
- 6:27Speaker 1: You stop manipulating. You stop over-explaining. You stop performing for acceptance.
- 6:32Speaker 1: You stop trying to convince people to see what they
- 6:34Speaker 1: have already decided not to see. You begin to say,
- 6:37Speaker 1: I know who I am becoming and I don't need
- 6:40Speaker 1: everybody to understand it. That is not arrogance. That is stability.
- 6:44Speaker 1: There is a difference between thinking you are better than
- 6:47Speaker 1: everyone and finally realizing that you don't have to think
- 6:50Speaker 1: you are less than everyone. You don't have to compete
- 6:54Speaker 1: with people. You don't have to constantly prove yourself. You
- 6:58Speaker 1: don't have to measure your journey against somebody else's journey.
- 7:01Speaker 1: You don't have to panic because somebody else appears to
- 7:03Speaker 1: be moving faster. Your season is your season. Your journey
- 7:07Speaker 1: is your journey. Your growth is your growth. And sometimes
- 7:10Speaker 1: the reason your path becomes quiet is because you need
- 7:13Speaker 1: to stop looking sideways. You have been watching everybody else
- 7:17Speaker 1: for so long that you forgot to watch where you
- 7:19Speaker 1: were going. You have been comparing your chapter to somebody
- 7:23Speaker 1: else's chapter. You have been looking at their relationships, their opportunities,
- 7:28Speaker 1: their achievements, their friendships, their success, and wondering why your
- 7:32Speaker 1: life doesn't look the same. But you don't know what
- 7:34Speaker 1: happens behind their closed doors. You don't know what they
- 7:38Speaker 1: have had to overcome. You don't know what their journey
- 7:41Speaker 1: has cost them. You don't know what their season is
- 7:43Speaker 1: teaching them. So stop measuring your life by somebody else's appearance.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Your assignment is not to become them. Your assignment is
- 7:51Speaker 1: to become the strongest, wisest, healthiest version of yourself that
- 7:55Speaker 1: you can become. And sometimes becoming that person requires solitude.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Sometimes you need a season where you are not constantly
- 8:02Speaker 1: receiving opinions. Sometimes you need distance from people who have
- 8:06Speaker 1: become too familiar with your weaknesses. Sometimes you need to
- 8:09Speaker 1: step away from environments that keep reminding you of who
- 8:12Speaker 1: you used to be. Because there are people who only
- 8:16Speaker 1: know the old version of you. They remember your mistakes.
- 8:18Speaker 1: They remember your failures. They remember the person you were
- 8:22Speaker 1: five years ago. They may continue treating you according to
- 8:25Speaker 1: an identity you have already outgrown. And when you remain
- 8:29Speaker 1: around that environment too long, you can start believing their
- 8:32Speaker 1: description of you. But solitude can give you the freedom
- 8:35Speaker 1: to become without constantly being reminded of who you were.
- 8:38Speaker 1: You can rebuild quietly. You can improve quietly. You can
- 8:42Speaker 1: become disciplined quietly. You can heal quietly. You can strengthen
- 8:46Speaker 1: your mind quietly. You can develop your character quietly. And
- 8:50Speaker 1: nobody has to know everything you are doing. Not every
- 8:52Speaker 1: transformation needs an audience. Some of the greatest work you
- 8:56Speaker 1: will ever do will happen when nobody is watching. The
- 8:59Speaker 1: seed grows underground before anybody sees the tree. The foundation
- 9:03Speaker 1: is built beneath the surface before anybody admires the building.
- 9:07Speaker 1: The preparation happens before the performance, and your life is
- 9:10Speaker 1: no different. There may be things happening inside you right
- 9:13Speaker 1: now that nobody else can see. Your patience is growing.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Your wisdom is growing. Your confidence is growing. Your discernment
- 9:20Speaker 1: is growing. Your ability to say no is growing. Your
- 9:24Speaker 1: ability to walk away from unhealthy situations is growing. Your
- 9:27Speaker 1: ability to sit with yourself without falling apart is growing.
- 9:30Speaker 1: And that growth matters, because eventually you will enter rooms
- 9:34Speaker 1: that require the strength you are developing right now. Eventually,
- 9:38Speaker 1: you will face opportunities that require the discipline you are
- 9:41Speaker 1: building right now. Eventually, you will meet people who need
- 9:44Speaker 1: you to be emotionally grounded. Eventually, you will have responsibilities
- 9:49Speaker 1: that require you to be stronger than you were yesterday.
- 9:52Speaker 1: So don't despise the preparation because it doesn't look impressive.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Don't despise the quiet because nobody is applauding. Don't despise
- 10:00Speaker 1: the season because it isn't crowded. There are things you
- 10:03Speaker 1: can only learn when you are alone. You learn what
- 10:05Speaker 1: you actually believe. You learn what you actually value. You
- 10:09Speaker 1: learn how you respond when nobody is watching. You learn
- 10:12Speaker 1: whether your confidence comes from within or from constant approval.
- 10:16Speaker 1: You learn whether you can keep your promises to yourself.
- 10:19Speaker 1: And perhaps most importantly, you learn that you can survive
- 10:22Speaker 1: the absence of people you once thought you could never
- 10:24Speaker 1: live without. That realization can change you. Because once you
- 10:29Speaker 1: know you can survive their absence, you stop being controlled
- 10:32Speaker 1: by the fear of losing them. You can love people
- 10:35Speaker 1: without being terrified of losing them. You can appreciate people
- 10:39Speaker 1: without worshipping them. You can care about people without making
- 10:42Speaker 1: them responsible for your identity. You can enjoy companionship without
- 10:46Speaker 1: believing that companionship is the source of your worth. And
- 10:50Speaker 1: that is where real freedom begins. You don't become strong
- 10:53Speaker 1: because you never need anybody. You become strong because you
- 10:56Speaker 1: know that needing connection does not mean abandoning yourself. You
- 11:00Speaker 1: can want somebody beside you and still refuse to accept disrespect.
- 11:04Speaker 1: You can miss someone and still know that going backward
- 11:07Speaker 1: is not the answer. You can feel lonely and still
- 11:10Speaker 1: make wise decisions. You can experience rejection and still refuse
- 11:13Speaker 1: to reject yourself. You can have a quiet phone and
- 11:16Speaker 1: still have a meaningful life. You can eat alone and
- 11:19Speaker 1: still enjoy the meal. You can walk alone and still
- 11:22Speaker 1: know where you are going. You can enter a room
- 11:24Speaker 1: by yourself and still carry yourself with dignity. Because your
- 11:28Speaker 1: confidence does not have to come from the number of
- 11:31Speaker 1: people standing around you. It can come from knowing that
- 11:34Speaker 1: you are becoming somebody you respect. And there is something
- 11:37Speaker 1: powerful about being able to look in the mirror and say,
- 11:41Speaker 1: I may not have everything figured out, but I am
- 11:44Speaker 1: proud that I did not give up on myself. That
- 11:46Speaker 1: statement is stronger than applause. That statement is stronger than popularity.
- 11:51Speaker 1: That statement is stronger than temporary attention. Because when you
- 11:54Speaker 1: learn how to stand with yourself, you become difficult to break.
- 11:58Speaker 1: The lonely season may still hurt. The silence may still
- 12:01Speaker 1: feel uncomfortable. There may still be nights when you wish
- 12:04Speaker 1: somebody would call. There may still be moments when you
- 12:08Speaker 1: wish somebody understood. But pain does not mean you are failing.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Discomfort does not mean you are going backward. Sometimes discomfort
- 12:16Speaker 1: is evidence that you are learning how to live differently.
- 12:19Speaker 1: Don't run from every uncomfortable feeling. Sit with it. Understand it.
- 12:23Speaker 1: Learn from it. Ask yourself what it is trying to reveal.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Maybe it is revealing that you have been depending too
- 12:28Speaker 1: heavily on external validation. Maybe it is revealing that you
- 12:32Speaker 1: need to strengthen your boundaries. Maybe it is revealing that
- 12:36Speaker 1: you need to spend more time developing yourself. Maybe it
- 12:39Speaker 1: is revealing that you have been afraid to move forward
- 12:42Speaker 1: without permission from people who are no longer part of
- 12:44Speaker 1: your journey. Whatever the lesson is, don't waste it. Because
- 12:48Speaker 1: the goal is not simply to survive loneliness. The goal
- 12:52Speaker 1: is to become wiser because you experienced it. The goal
- 12:55Speaker 1: is to become stronger because you walk through it. The
- 12:58Speaker 1: goal is to become more secure because you discovered that
- 13:00Speaker 1: you can stand without constant reassurance. And when you reach
- 13:04Speaker 1: that place, something changes. You stop asking, who will stay?
- 13:08Speaker 1: You start asking, who am I becoming? You stop asking,
- 13:12Speaker 1: who will choose me? You start asking, am I choosing myself?
- 13:16Speaker 1: You stop asking, why am I alone? You start asking,
- 13:20Speaker 1: what can I build while I have this space? That
- 13:22Speaker 1: is when loneliness loses some of its power because you
- 13:25Speaker 1: are no longer looking at an empty room and seeing rejection.
- 13:29Speaker 1: You are looking at an empty room and seeing possibility.
- 13:32Speaker 1: You are no longer seeing silence as evidence that nobody cares.
- 13:36Speaker 1: You are seeing silence as an opportunity to listen. You
- 13:39Speaker 1: are no longer seeing solitude as the end of something.
- 13:41Speaker 1: You are seeing it as the beginning of something within you.
- 13:45Speaker 1: And sometimes the strongest version of you is born in
- 13:48Speaker 1: a season when there is nobody around to celebrate the birth.
- 13:51Speaker 1: You cannot become truly strong if your entire sense of
- 13:54Speaker 1: worth is placed in somebody else's hands. If somebody praises you,
- 13:57Speaker 1: you feel valuable. If somebody criticizes you, you feel worthless.
- 14:01Speaker 1: If somebody calls you, you feel remembered. If somebody ignores you,
- 14:05Speaker 1: you feel forgotten. If somebody chooses you, you feel worthy.
- 14:09Speaker 1: If somebody rejects you, you question yourself. That is exhausting.
- 14:14Speaker 1: Because you've given other people the authority to decide how
- 14:16Speaker 1: you feel about yourself. And the moment you hand somebody
- 14:19Speaker 1: else that authority, you become vulnerable to every change in
- 14:23Speaker 1: their mood, every change in their opinion, every change in
- 14:26Speaker 1: their priorities, and every decision they make. You cannot build
- 14:30Speaker 1: a stable life on unstable approval. People are allowed to
- 14:33Speaker 1: have opinions, but their opinions do not have to become
- 14:36Speaker 1: your identity. People can misunderstand you without defining you. People
- 14:40Speaker 1: can criticize you without determining your worth. People can overlook
- 14:44Speaker 1: you without reducing your potential. People can reject you without
- 14:47Speaker 1: making you reject yourself. You have to develop an inner
- 14:51Speaker 1: foundation so strong that when the outside world becomes uncertain,
- 14:55Speaker 1: you don't become uncertain about who you are. That does
- 14:58Speaker 1: not mean you become arrogant. It means you become grounded.
- 15:01Speaker 1: There is a difference between confidence and arrogance. Arrogance says,
- 15:05Speaker 1: I am better than everyone. Confidence says, I don't have
- 15:09Speaker 1: to be better than everyone to know that I have value.
- 15:12Speaker 1: Arrogance needs to dominate. Confidence doesn't need to compete. Arrogance
- 15:16Speaker 1: demands attention. Confidence can remain quiet. Arrogance needs applause. Confidence
- 15:21Speaker 1: can keep working when nobody is watching. You need that
- 15:24Speaker 1: kind of confidence because there will be seasons when nobody
- 15:27Speaker 1: celebrates you. There will be moments when your efforts are invisible.
- 15:31Speaker 1: There will be times when you give your best and
- 15:33Speaker 1: nobody says thank you. There will be days when you
- 15:36Speaker 1: do the right thing and nobody notices. And if your
- 15:39Speaker 1: motivation depends entirely on recognition, those seasons will destroy your momentum.
- 15:45Speaker 1: You have to learn how to keep going when there
- 15:47Speaker 1: is no applause. You have to learn how to keep
- 15:49Speaker 1: believing when there is no immediate evidence. You have to
- 15:53Speaker 1: learn how to keep working when nobody is watching. You
- 15:56Speaker 1: have to learn how to keep improving when nobody is
- 15:59Speaker 1: complimenting you. Because some of the most important growth in
- 16:02Speaker 1: your life will happen privately. Nobody may see you fighting
- 16:05Speaker 1: your old habits. Nobody may see you trying to become
- 16:09Speaker 1: more disciplined. Nobody may see you choosing patience when you
- 16:12Speaker 1: could have reacted. Nobody may see you walking away from
- 16:15Speaker 1: something that was unhealthy for you. Nobody may see you
- 16:18Speaker 1: rebuilding your confidence after disappointment. But you see it. And
- 16:22Speaker 1: you need to learn how to celebrate that progress even
- 16:25Speaker 1: when nobody else does. You need to become the person
- 16:28Speaker 1: who can look at yourself and say, I know how
- 16:30Speaker 1: far I've come. You need to recognize your own growth.
- 16:34Speaker 1: You need to acknowledge your own courage. You need to
- 16:37Speaker 1: give yourself permission to be proud of progress that other
- 16:39Speaker 1: people may not understand. Because if you constantly wait for
- 16:43Speaker 1: somebody else to validate your progress, you will spend your
- 16:47Speaker 1: life waiting. Some people will never understand what it took
- 16:50Speaker 1: for you to get where you are. Some people only
- 16:53Speaker 1: see the result. They don't see the nights you struggled.
- 16:56Speaker 1: They don't see the decisions you had to make. They
- 16:59Speaker 1: don't see the moments when you almost quit. They don't
- 17:02Speaker 1: see how difficult it was to keep believing in yourself.
- 17:05Speaker 1: So don't let people who only see the surface become
- 17:08Speaker 1: the authors of your identity. You know what you have survived.
- 17:12Speaker 1: You know what you have overcome. You know what you
- 17:14Speaker 1: are learning. You know what you are building. And there
- 17:17Speaker 1: comes a point when you have to stop explaining your
- 17:20Speaker 1: entire journey to everybody. You don't need everybody to understand.
- 17:24Speaker 1: You need to understand yourself. You need to know your values.
- 17:28Speaker 1: You need to know your boundaries. You need to know
- 17:30Speaker 1: your principles. You need to know what you are willing
- 17:33Speaker 1: to tolerate and what you are not willing to tolerate.
- 17:36Speaker 1: Because when you don't know who you are, you will
- 17:39Speaker 1: become whoever the room needs you to be. You will
- 17:42Speaker 1: change your personality to fit the crowd. You will change
- 17:45Speaker 1: your opinions to avoid rejection. You will silence your convictions
- 17:49Speaker 1: to keep somebody comfortable. You will accept treatment you know
- 17:52Speaker 1: is wrong because you are afraid that standing up for
- 17:55Speaker 1: yourself will make somebody leave. And eventually, you may keep
- 17:59Speaker 1: the relationship but lose yourself. What good is having somebody
- 18:03Speaker 1: beside you if you have to disappear in order to
- 18:05Speaker 1: keep them there? What good is companionship if the price
- 18:08Speaker 1: of companionship is your peace? What good is being accepted
- 18:12Speaker 1: if acceptance requires you to betray your own values? There
- 18:15Speaker 1: comes a point when you have to say, I would
- 18:17Speaker 1: rather be alone, authentic than surrounded and pretending. That decision
- 18:22Speaker 1: may cost you some relationships, but it can save you
- 18:25Speaker 1: from losing yourself. You cannot spend your whole life trying
- 18:29Speaker 1: to make everybody comfortable with your existence. You were not
- 18:32Speaker 1: created to shrink every time somebody feels threatened by your growth.
- 18:36Speaker 1: You were not created to apologize for becoming healthier. You
- 18:39Speaker 1: were not created to remain small because somebody became comfortable
- 18:42Speaker 1: with the version of you that had no boundaries. Growth
- 18:46Speaker 1: changes things. When you become stronger, you stop participating in
- 18:50Speaker 1: things that once seemed normal. When you become wiser, you
- 18:53Speaker 1: recognize patterns you once ignored. When you become more secure,
- 18:57Speaker 1: you stop chasing people who constantly make you question your worth.
- 19:01Speaker 1: When you become more disciplined, you stop making excuses for
- 19:04Speaker 1: the habits that are holding you back. And when you
- 19:07Speaker 1: begin choosing yourself in healthy ways, some people may accuse
- 19:10Speaker 1: you of changing. You can answer, yes, I am changing.
- 19:14Speaker 1: Because growth is supposed to change you. Healing is supposed
- 19:17Speaker 1: to change you. Wisdom is supposed to change you. You
- 19:21Speaker 1: should not remain the same person simply because somebody else
- 19:24Speaker 1: prefers the version of you they could control. Your inner
- 19:27Speaker 1: strength must become stronger than your fear of disappointing people.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Think about how much energy you spend worrying about what
- 19:33Speaker 1: others think. What will they say? What will they think?
- 19:37Speaker 1: Will they approve? Will they understand? Will they stay? Will
- 19:40Speaker 1: they be upset? But every time you live according to
- 19:43Speaker 1: those questions, you place your life in somebody else's hands.
- 19:47Speaker 1: There is a healthier question. What is right for me accordingly?
- 19:50Speaker 1: to the values I have chosen to live by? That
- 19:53Speaker 1: question gives you responsibility. It forces you to think. It
- 19:56Speaker 1: forces you to grow. It forces you to stop blaming
- 19:59Speaker 1: everybody else for your decisions. You have to become responsible
- 20:03Speaker 1: for your own emotional foundation. That means learning how to
- 20:06Speaker 1: calm yourself instead of always needing somebody else to calm you.
- 20:10Speaker 1: Learning how to encourage yourself instead of waiting for somebody
- 20:14Speaker 1: else to encourage you. Learning how to make decisions instead
- 20:17Speaker 1: of constantly asking for permission. Learning how to recover from
- 20:21Speaker 1: disappointment instead of allowing disappointment to define your future. This
- 20:25Speaker 1: is not about pretending that you don't need people. Human
- 20:28Speaker 1: beings need connection. Friendship matters. Family matters. Community matters. Healthy
- 20:33Speaker 1: relationships matter. But there is a difference between appreciating people
- 20:37Speaker 1: and depending on them for your identity. You can love
- 20:40Speaker 1: someone deeply without making them responsible for your self-worth. You
- 20:44Speaker 1: can appreciate someone's presence without being terrified of their absence.
- 20:49Speaker 1: You can listen to advice without surrendering your ability to think.
- 20:52Speaker 1: You can receive correction without believing you are worthless. You
- 20:56Speaker 1: can accept criticism without allowing it to become your identity.
- 21:00Speaker 1: That is emotional strength. It is the ability to hear
- 21:03Speaker 1: something difficult without immediately allowing it to destroy you. And
- 21:06Speaker 1: sometimes the strongest thing you can do is pause before reacting.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Someone says something hurtful. You don't have to respond immediately.
- 21:14Speaker 1: Someone walks away. You don't have to chase immediately. Someone
- 21:18Speaker 1: misunderstands you. You don't have to write a 10-page explanation.
- 21:21Speaker 1: Someone criticizes you. You don't have to prove yourself. Sometimes
- 21:25Speaker 1: silence is not weakness. Sometimes silence is self-control. Sometimes walking
- 21:30Speaker 1: away is not defeat. Sometimes walking away is wisdom. Sometimes
- 21:33Speaker 1: refusing to argue is not surrender. Sometimes it is evidence
- 21:37Speaker 1: that you finally understand the value of your peace You
- 21:40Speaker 1: need an inner strength that tells you, I don't have
- 21:43Speaker 1: to attend every argument I am invited to. Not every
- 21:46Speaker 1: accusation deserves your defense. Not every opinion deserves your attention.
- 21:50Speaker 1: Not every rejection deserves your tears. Not every departure deserves
- 21:54Speaker 1: your pursuit. Not every misunderstanding requires your explanation. You have
- 21:58Speaker 1: limited emotional energy. Spend it wisely. Give your energy to
- 22:02Speaker 1: what builds you. Give your attention to what matters. Give
- 22:05Speaker 1: your focus to what you can control. Because if you
- 22:08Speaker 1: spend your entire life trying to manage everybody else's opinion
- 22:11Speaker 1: of you, you will have no energy left to build
- 22:14Speaker 1: the life you actually want. And there is another level
- 22:17Speaker 1: of strength you have to develop the ability to keep
- 22:19Speaker 1: your standards when you are lonely. This is where many
- 22:22Speaker 1: people struggle. When they feel alone, they become willing to
- 22:26Speaker 1: accept anything. They return to unhealthy situations. They tolerate disrespect.
- 22:31Speaker 1: They ignore red flags. They accept crumbs of attention. They
- 22:34Speaker 1: lower their standards simply because silence feels uncomfortable. But loneliness
- 22:39Speaker 1: is not a reason to abandon your boundaries. Being alone
- 22:42Speaker 1: is uncomfortable, but losing yourself can be far more costly.
- 22:45Speaker 1: You have to learn to say, I would rather experience
- 22:48Speaker 1: this temporary loneliness than return to something that continually destroys
- 22:52Speaker 1: my peace. That sentence requires strength because your emotions may say,
- 22:57Speaker 1: go back. Your fear may say, take whatever you can get.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Your insecurity may say, maybe this is the best you
- 23:03Speaker 1: can do. But wisdom says, don't trade your long-term peace
- 23:07Speaker 1: for temporary comfort. You have to believe that being alone
- 23:11Speaker 1: for a season does not mean you will always be alone.
- 23:14Speaker 1: You have to believe that one closed relationship does not
- 23:16Speaker 1: mean every relationship will fail. You have to believe that
- 23:20Speaker 1: rejection from one person does not equal rejection from life.
- 23:24Speaker 1: You have to believe that a quiet season can still
- 23:26Speaker 1: contain growth. You have to believe that your future can
- 23:29Speaker 1: still be meaningful even if your present feels uncertain. That
- 23:33Speaker 1: belief becomes an anchor. And when you have an anchor,
- 23:36Speaker 1: the storm can move around you without moving you from
- 23:38Speaker 1: your foundation. People may come. people may go. Circumstances may change,
- 23:44Speaker 1: opinions may change, opportunities may change, but you can remain rooted.
- 23:48Speaker 1: You can say, I know who I am. You can say,
- 23:50Speaker 1: I know what I value. You can say, I know
- 23:53Speaker 1: what I am working toward. You can say, I know
- 23:56Speaker 1: what I will not compromise. And when you know those things,
- 24:00Speaker 1: loneliness loses some of its ability to manipulate you. You
- 24:03Speaker 1: no longer need to fill every empty space. You no
- 24:06Speaker 1: longer need to respond to every silence. You no longer
- 24:09Speaker 1: need to chase every person who pulls away. You can
- 24:12Speaker 1: sit still, you can breathe, you can think. You can
- 24:14Speaker 1: trust the process. You can continue building. And there is
- 24:17Speaker 1: tremendous power in becoming comfortable with your own company without
- 24:21Speaker 1: becoming isolated from the world. Go for the walk. Read
- 24:25Speaker 1: the book. Work on the dream. Learn the skill. Write
- 24:27Speaker 1: down your goals. Take care of your responsibilities. Develop your character.
- 24:32Speaker 1: Strengthen your mind. Invest in your future. Do the things
- 24:35Speaker 1: that make you respect yourself. Because self-respect is built through
- 24:39Speaker 1: repeated actions. Every time you keep a promise to yourself,
- 24:42Speaker 1: you strengthen your confidence. Every time you choose discipline over impulse,
- 24:47Speaker 1: you strengthen your confidence. Every time you establish a healthy boundary,
- 24:51Speaker 1: you strengthen your confidence. Every time you refuse to return
- 24:55Speaker 1: to something that harmed you, you strengthen your confidence. Every
- 24:58Speaker 1: time you make a decision based on your values instead
- 25:01Speaker 1: of your fear, you strengthen your confidence. And slowly, something
- 25:05Speaker 1: begins to change. You stop needing constant reassurance. You stop
- 25:09Speaker 1: panicking when someone doesn't respond. You stop interpreting every silence
- 25:13Speaker 1: as rejection. You stop believing that somebody else's distance means
- 25:16Speaker 1: something is wrong with you. You become steadier. You become calmer.
- 25:21Speaker 1: You become more deliberate. You become more difficult to manipulate.
- 25:25Speaker 1: And you realize that your greatest security does not come
- 25:27Speaker 1: from knowing that everybody will stay. It comes from knowing
- 25:31Speaker 1: that if somebody leaves, you will not leave yourself. That
- 25:34Speaker 1: is the kind of inner strength you must build. Because
- 25:37Speaker 1: people may not always understand your journey. They may not
- 25:40Speaker 1: always support your decisions. They may not always celebrate your growth.
- 25:45Speaker 1: They may not always recognize your potential. But you cannot
- 25:48Speaker 1: allow their inability to see you to become your inability
- 25:51Speaker 1: to see yourself. Keep seeing yourself. Keep believing in your
- 25:54Speaker 1: capacity to grow. Keep honoring the work you are doing within.
- 25:58Speaker 1: Keep reminding yourself that your current circumstances are not the
- 26:01Speaker 1: complete definition of your life. You are still becoming. You
- 26:05Speaker 1: are still learning. You are still developing. You are still building.
- 26:10Speaker 1: And the person you are becoming deserves your loyalty. Don't
- 26:13Speaker 1: abandon that person just because somebody else did not stay.
- 26:16Speaker 1: Don't betray your future because you are uncomfortable with your present.
- 26:20Speaker 1: Don't sacrifice your peace simply because you are afraid of silence.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Build your inner world so carefully that when the outside
- 26:27Speaker 1: world becomes uncertain, you still have somewhere strong to stand.
- 26:31Speaker 1: There comes a point in your life when you have
- 26:33Speaker 1: to stop chasing people and start chasing purpose. Because if
- 26:37Speaker 1: you spend all your energy trying to make people stay,
- 26:40Speaker 1: you may have nothing left to build the life you
- 26:42Speaker 1: were meant to live. You can become so focused on
- 26:45Speaker 1: who left that you forget where you are going. You
- 26:48Speaker 1: can become so consumed with who rejected you that you
- 26:50Speaker 1: stop recognizing the opportunities still in front of you. You
- 26:54Speaker 1: can spend so much time asking, why didn't they choose
- 26:57Speaker 1: me that you never stop to ask, why haven't I
- 27:00Speaker 1: chosen myself? That question can change your life. Why haven't
- 27:04Speaker 1: you chosen your growth? Why haven't you chosen your peace?
- 27:08Speaker 1: Why haven't you chosen your future? Why haven't you chosen
- 27:11Speaker 1: the dreams you keep postponing? Why haven't you chosen to
- 27:13Speaker 1: become the person you keep saying you want to become?
- 27:17Speaker 1: Sometimes the greatest distraction in your life is not failure.
- 27:20Speaker 1: Sometimes it is your obsession with people. You keep checking
- 27:24Speaker 1: who is watching. You keep wondering who is talking. You
- 27:27Speaker 1: keep waiting for somebody to respond. You keep looking at
- 27:30Speaker 1: somebody else's life. You keep wondering why they moved on.
- 27:34Speaker 1: You keep trying to figure out what they think about you.
- 27:37Speaker 1: And while you are studying everybody else, your own life
- 27:40Speaker 1: is waiting for your attention. Your purpose is waiting. Your
- 27:43Speaker 1: growth is waiting. Your gifts are waiting. Your future is waiting.
- 27:47Speaker 1: You cannot keep standing at the door of somebody else's
- 27:49Speaker 1: life while your own door is opening. There are people
- 27:52Speaker 1: you have to stop chasing. Not because they are necessarily
- 27:56Speaker 1: bad people. Not because you hate them. Not because you
- 27:59Speaker 1: want revenge. But because your energy has to go somewhere.
- 28:03Speaker 1: And if all your energy is going toward convincing someone
- 28:05Speaker 1: to recognize your value, you don't have enough energy left
- 28:08Speaker 1: to develop that value within yourself. You don't have to
- 28:12Speaker 1: convince everybody. You don't have to prove everything. You don't
- 28:15Speaker 1: have to force every relationship to continue. Sometimes the most
- 28:19Speaker 1: powerful thing you can do is release your grip. Let
- 28:22Speaker 1: people make their choices. Let people have their opinions. Let
- 28:26Speaker 1: people walk their own path. And then turn around and
- 28:29Speaker 1: ask yourself, what am I supposed to do with mine?
- 28:31Speaker 1: That question moves you forward because purpose requires movement. Purpose
- 28:36Speaker 1: requires attention. Purpose requires discipline. Purpose requires sacrifice. Purpose requires
- 28:41Speaker 1: you to wake up even when you don't feel motivated.
- 28:44Speaker 1: Purpose requires you to keep learning when nobody is praising you.
- 28:48Speaker 1: Purpose requires you to keep working when the results are
- 28:51Speaker 1: not immediate. Purpose requires you to become comfortable with delayed gratification.
- 28:55Speaker 1: And that is why you cannot spend your life chasing validation.
- 28:59Speaker 1: Validation is temporary. Purpose is bigger. Attention comes and goes.
- 29:03Speaker 1: Purpose demands consistency. People can applaud you today and forget
- 29:07Speaker 1: you tomorrow. But the work you build within yourself can remain.
- 29:10Speaker 1: The character you develop can remain. The wisdom you gain
- 29:14Speaker 1: can remain. The discipline you develop can remain. The lessons
- 29:17Speaker 1: you learn can remain. So stop investing everything into what
- 29:20Speaker 1: disappears when somebody changes their mind. Invest in what remains
- 29:24Speaker 1: when the crowd goes home. Invest in yourself. Invest in
- 29:27Speaker 1: your character. Invest in your knowledge. Invest in your skills.
- 29:31Speaker 1: Invest in your responsibilities. Invest in the gifts you have
- 29:34Speaker 1: been given. Invest in the future you keep talking about
- 29:38Speaker 1: because there is a difference between being busy and being purposeful.
- 29:41Speaker 1: You can be busy all day and still be moving nowhere.
- 29:45Speaker 1: You can spend hours scrolling, checking messages, watching what other
- 29:48Speaker 1: people are doing, thinking about what they said, wondering why
- 29:51Speaker 1: they didn't call, and still accomplish nothing that moves your
- 29:55Speaker 1: own life forward. Purpose asks you to become intentional. It
- 29:59Speaker 1: asks you to say, this is what matters to me,
- 30:01Speaker 1: and I am going to give it my attention. That
- 30:04Speaker 1: means you have to learn how to redirect your mind.
- 30:07Speaker 1: When you catch yourself obsessing over somebody's absence, redirect yourself
- 30:11Speaker 1: toward your assignment. When you catch yourself replaying an old conversation,
- 30:16Speaker 1: redirect yourself towards something productive. When you feel the urge
- 30:19Speaker 1: to chase someone who has already made their position clear,
- 30:23Speaker 1: pause and ask yourself what you could build with the
- 30:25Speaker 1: energy you are about to spend. Turn the energy around.
- 30:29Speaker 1: Take the emotion and put it into growth. Take the
- 30:32Speaker 1: disappointment and put it into discipline. Take the loneliness and
- 30:35Speaker 1: put it into learning. Take the silence and put it
- 30:37Speaker 1: into reflection. Take the rejection and put it into rebuilding.
- 30:41Speaker 1: Don't let pain become wasted energy. Let it become fuel
- 30:44Speaker 1: for transformation. You don't have to pretend that rejection doesn't hurt.
- 30:48Speaker 1: It can hurt deeply. But you don't have to allow
- 30:51Speaker 1: the hurt to become your permanent residence. Feel it. Learn
- 30:54Speaker 1: from it. Then move. There is a future that still
- 30:57Speaker 1: needs you. There are things you have not experienced yet.
- 31:01Speaker 1: There are lessons you have not learned yet. There are
- 31:04Speaker 1: opportunities you have not encountered yet. There are versions of
- 31:07Speaker 1: yourself you have not met yet. Don't let one chapter
- 31:10Speaker 1: convince you that the entire book is finished. Sometimes you
- 31:13Speaker 1: are crying over a closed door while life is preparing
- 31:16Speaker 1: you for another one. Sometimes you are mourning what you
- 31:19Speaker 1: lost while something new is being developed inside you. Sometimes
- 31:23Speaker 1: you think your life has become smaller because certain people
- 31:26Speaker 1: are gone, but in reality you finally have room to expand.
- 31:30Speaker 1: You have room to think. You have room to create.
- 31:33Speaker 1: You have room to dream. You have room to build.
- 31:35Speaker 1: You have room to become. Don't fill that space immediately
- 31:38Speaker 1: just because empty space makes you uncomfortable. Sit with it.
- 31:42Speaker 1: Ask what belongs there now. Maybe discipline belongs there. Maybe
- 31:45Speaker 1: education belongs there. Maybe creativity belongs there. Maybe healing belongs there.
- 31:51Speaker 1: Maybe a new goal belongs there. Maybe service belongs there.
- 31:55Speaker 1: Maybe your relationship with your faith needs deeper attention. Maybe
- 31:58Speaker 1: you need to discover what you actually want before you
- 32:01Speaker 1: invite more people into your life. Because if you don't
- 32:04Speaker 1: know what you are building, you can become distracted by
- 32:07Speaker 1: anyone who offers you attention. You can confuse attention with connection.
- 32:11Speaker 1: You can confuse chemistry with compatibility. You can confuse familiarity
- 32:15Speaker 1: with health. You can confuse being wanted with being valued.
- 32:19Speaker 1: Purpose helps you see differently. When you know where you
- 32:22Speaker 1: are going, you become more careful about who you allow
- 32:25Speaker 1: to influence your direction. You don't let every person become
- 32:28Speaker 1: a passenger in your journey. You don't give everybody access
- 32:32Speaker 1: to your mind. You don't let every opinion become a command.
- 32:35Speaker 1: You don't let every criticism become a verdict. You don't
- 32:38Speaker 1: let every invitation become an obligation. Because you have somewhere
- 32:42Speaker 1: to go. And when you have somewhere to go, you
- 32:44Speaker 1: cannot afford to keep getting lost in distractions. There will
- 32:48Speaker 1: always be people who want your attention. There will always
- 32:51Speaker 1: be drama. There will always be arguments. There will always
- 32:55Speaker 1: be people who misunderstand you. There will always be somebody
- 32:59Speaker 1: who doesn't like what you are doing. There will always
- 33:01Speaker 1: be somebody who thinks you should take another path. But
- 33:04Speaker 1: you cannot respond to everything. You cannot explain everything. You
- 33:08Speaker 1: cannot fix everything. You cannot please everyone. You have to
- 33:12Speaker 1: decide what deserves your energy, and purpose gives you that filter.
- 33:16Speaker 1: You begin asking, does this move me forward? Does this
- 33:19Speaker 1: help me grow? Does this strengthen my character? Does this
- 33:23Speaker 1: align with what I say I value? Does this deserve
- 33:26Speaker 1: my attention? And sometimes the answer will be no. No
- 33:30Speaker 1: is a powerful word when you know what you are protecting. No,
- 33:33Speaker 1: I am not going back. No, I am not gonna argue. No,
- 33:36Speaker 1: I am not gonna chase. No, I am not gonna
- 33:39Speaker 1: compromise my peace. No, I am not going to abandon
- 33:42Speaker 1: my goals because somebody doesn't understand them. No, I am
- 33:45Speaker 1: not going to spend another year repeating the same cycle. No,
- 33:49Speaker 1: I am not going to let loneliness make my decisions
- 33:51Speaker 1: for me. That is not bitterness. That is direction. You
- 33:54Speaker 1: need direction. Because without direction, loneliness can make you wander.
- 33:58Speaker 1: When you don't know where you are going, you will
- 34:01Speaker 1: follow whoever is willing to walk with you. But when
- 34:04Speaker 1: you know your destination, you become selective about who gets
- 34:08Speaker 1: to walk beside you. There is a difference. You are
- 34:10Speaker 1: no longer asking who will accept me. You are asking
- 34:14Speaker 1: who is healthy enough to walk alongside the person I
- 34:16Speaker 1: am becoming. That changes your standards. It changes your relationships.
- 34:21Speaker 1: It changes your conversations. It changes how you spend your time.
- 34:25Speaker 1: It changes what you tolerate. and it changes what you pursue.
- 34:28Speaker 1: You begin understanding that not everybody deserves access to the
- 34:31Speaker 1: future you are building. Some people belong in your memories.
- 34:35Speaker 1: Some belong in your lessons. Some belong in your prayers.
- 34:39Speaker 1: Some belong in your history. And some may belong in
- 34:41Speaker 1: your future. But you don't have to force every person
- 34:44Speaker 1: into every chapter. Let people occupy the place their choices
- 34:48Speaker 1: have earned, and then keep moving. Don't spend your life
- 34:51Speaker 1: trying to rewrite somebody else's decision. If they chose distance,
- 34:55Speaker 1: let the distance teach you something. If they chose silence,
- 34:58Speaker 1: don't destroy yourself trying to create noise. If they chose
- 35:02Speaker 1: to leave, don't make leaving a statement about your worth.
- 35:05Speaker 1: Their decision is their decision. Your response is your responsibility.
- 35:09Speaker 1: And your response can be growth. Your response can be discipline.
- 35:12Speaker 1: Your response can be purpose. Imagine what would happen if
- 35:16Speaker 1: you took all the energy you spend wondering whether somebody
- 35:19Speaker 1: misses you and invested it into becoming the person you
- 35:22Speaker 1: want to be. Imagine what would happen if you stopped
- 35:25Speaker 1: checking whether they noticed your absence and started noticing your
- 35:29Speaker 1: own progress. Imagine what would happen if instead of waiting
- 35:32Speaker 1: for somebody to come back, you started building something that
- 35:35Speaker 1: moves your life forward. You would become different. You would
- 35:39Speaker 1: think differently. You would carry yourself differently. You would wake
- 35:43Speaker 1: up with direction. You would go to sleep knowing you
- 35:45Speaker 1: invested in yourself. And slowly, the question would change. Instead
- 35:50Speaker 1: of asking, who is coming to save me from this
- 35:52Speaker 1: lonely season? You would ask, what can I accomplish while
- 35:56Speaker 1: I am here? That is a powerful question because you
- 36:00Speaker 1: don't have to waste your lonely season. You can build
- 36:03Speaker 1: in it. You can become disciplined in it. You can
- 36:05Speaker 1: strengthen your mind in it. You can discover your gifts
- 36:08Speaker 1: in it. You can develop your confidence in it. You
- 36:11Speaker 1: can establish better habits in it. You can learn to
- 36:14Speaker 1: manage your emotions in it. You can discover what really
- 36:17Speaker 1: matters to you in it. You can become more intentional
- 36:20Speaker 1: in it. And when the next chapter arrives, you will
- 36:23Speaker 1: not enter it as the same person who entered the
- 36:25Speaker 1: lonely season. You will enter stronger. You will enter wiser.
- 36:29Speaker 1: You will enter more discerning. You will enter more focused.
- 36:32Speaker 1: You will enter knowing that your life cannot depend on
- 36:35Speaker 1: who chooses to stay. Your life must be built around
- 36:38Speaker 1: what you choose to pursue. And purpose will teach you
- 36:41Speaker 1: something loneliness never could. You can miss people and still
- 36:44Speaker 1: move forward. You can love people and still release them.
- 36:48Speaker 1: You can remember people and still build beyond them. You
- 36:52Speaker 1: can appreciate what a relationship taught you without allowing the
- 36:55Speaker 1: relationship to determine your future. You can honor the past
- 36:58Speaker 1: without living in it, because your purpose is not behind you.
- 37:02Speaker 1: Your purpose is calling you forward, and every step forward
- 37:05Speaker 1: requires you to release something that cannot come with you.
- 37:08Speaker 1: Sometimes it is a person. Sometimes it is an old belief.
- 37:12Speaker 1: Sometimes it is an unhealthy habit. Sometimes it is the
- 37:14Speaker 1: need to be understood by everyone. Sometimes it is your
- 37:18Speaker 1: fear of being alone. Sometimes it is your addiction to approval.
- 37:21Speaker 1: Sometimes it is the version of yourself that kept settling
- 37:24Speaker 1: because it was afraid of starting over. Release it, not
- 37:27Speaker 1: with hatred. not with revenge, not with bitterness. Release it
- 37:31Speaker 1: with understanding. Say, that was part of my story, but
- 37:34Speaker 1: it does not have to control my next chapter. Then
- 37:37Speaker 1: turn your attention back to the road. There is work
- 37:40Speaker 1: to do. There is growth ahead. There are things you
- 37:43Speaker 1: can learn. There are goals you can pursue. There are
- 37:46Speaker 1: responsibilities waiting for you. There is a future that cannot
- 37:50Speaker 1: be built by constantly staring backward. You cannot drive forward
- 37:54Speaker 1: while spending all your time looking in the rearview mirror.
- 37:57Speaker 1: Look back long enough to learn, then look forward long
- 38:00Speaker 1: enough to move. And when you begin to chase purpose
- 38:03Speaker 1: instead of people, your loneliness starts losing its power because
- 38:06Speaker 1: you finally have something greater than your loneliness demanding your attention.
- 38:10Speaker 1: You have direction. You have work. You have growth. You
- 38:14Speaker 1: have something worth becoming. And every morning becomes another opportunity
- 38:18Speaker 1: to invest in the person you are becoming instead of
- 38:21Speaker 1: obsessing over the people who are no longer there. There
- 38:24Speaker 1: will be moments when you wish somebody were there. There
- 38:28Speaker 1: will be evenings when the silence feels louder than usual.
- 38:31Speaker 1: There will be mornings when you reach for your phone
- 38:33Speaker 1: and realize nobody has checked on you. There will be
- 38:36Speaker 1: moments when you remember conversations, old memories, familiar voices, and
- 38:41Speaker 1: the comfort of having somebody close. And you need to
- 38:43Speaker 1: understand something. Feeling lonely does not mean you are weak.
- 38:47Speaker 1: It means you are human. Strength does not mean you
- 38:50Speaker 1: never miss anybody. Strength does not mean you never wish
- 38:53Speaker 1: you had companionship. Strength does not mean you never feel
- 38:57Speaker 1: the age of separation. Real strength means you can feel
- 39:00Speaker 1: those emotions without allowing them to control your choices. You
- 39:04Speaker 1: can acknowledge the loneliness without becoming desperate. You can miss
- 39:07Speaker 1: somebody without running back to them. You can want companionship
- 39:11Speaker 1: without accepting unhealthy treatment. You can desire connection without surrendering
- 39:16Speaker 1: your standards. You can experience silence without assuming that your
- 39:19Speaker 1: life has lost its meaning. That is the kind of
- 39:22Speaker 1: security you have to build within yourself. Because if loneliness
- 39:26Speaker 1: controls your decisions, you will make choices based on what
- 39:29Speaker 1: hurts the least right now, instead of what is healthiest
- 39:32Speaker 1: for your future. And temporary comfort can sometimes create permanent consequences.
- 39:38Speaker 1: You have to learn the difference between what feels good
- 39:40Speaker 1: immediately and what is good for you ultimately. Loneliness may
- 39:44Speaker 1: tell you, call them. Wisdom may tell you, think about
- 39:47Speaker 1: why you walked away. Loneliness may tell you, accept whatever
- 39:51Speaker 1: they offer. Self-respect may tell you, you don't have to
- 39:55Speaker 1: accept less just because you are uncomfortable. A loneliness may
- 39:58Speaker 1: tell you, you need somebody right now. Strength may tell you,
- 40:03Speaker 1: you need to take care of yourself right now. That
- 40:05Speaker 1: inner conversation matters, because there will be moments when your
- 40:08Speaker 1: emotions become loud. And when emotions become loud, you need
- 40:13Speaker 1: principles that are louder. You need values that can guide
- 40:16Speaker 1: you when feelings become confusing. You need boundaries that can
- 40:19Speaker 1: protect you when loneliness makes you vulnerable. You need wisdom
- 40:23Speaker 1: that can slow you down when desperation wants you to
- 40:25Speaker 1: move quickly. Don't make permanent decisions based on temporary loneliness.
- 40:30Speaker 1: That is one of the most important lessons you can learn.
- 40:34Speaker 1: A lonely night can make you want to reopen a
- 40:36Speaker 1: door you closed for a reason. A difficult morning can
- 40:39Speaker 1: make you question decisions you made from wisdom. A moment
- 40:42Speaker 1: of rejection can make you want to accept attention from
- 40:45Speaker 1: anyone who offers it. But you have to learn to pause.
- 40:48Speaker 1: You have to learn to breathe. You have to learn
- 40:51Speaker 1: to let the emotion pass before you decide what to
- 40:53Speaker 1: do with it. Not every feeling requires an action. Read
- 40:57Speaker 1: that again in your heart. Not every feeling requires an action.
- 41:01Speaker 1: You can feel angry without sending the message. You can
- 41:04Speaker 1: feel lonely without calling the wrong person. You can feel
- 41:06Speaker 1: rejected without attacking yourself. You can feel disappointed without giving up.
- 41:11Speaker 1: You can feel afraid without turning around. Feelings are real,
- 41:15Speaker 1: but feelings are not always instructions. Sometimes you need to
- 41:18Speaker 1: feel something without obeying it. That is emotional strength. And
- 41:22Speaker 1: the more you practice it, the stronger you become. You
- 41:25Speaker 1: begin realizing that you don't have to immediately fix every
- 41:28Speaker 1: uncomfortable emotion. Sometimes you simply have to sit with yourself.
- 41:32Speaker 1: You have to say, this hurts, but I can handle it.
- 41:36Speaker 1: This is uncomfortable, but I don't have to run. I
- 41:39Speaker 1: miss him, but I don't have to go backward. I
- 41:42Speaker 1: wish things were different, but I can still move forward.
- 41:45Speaker 1: I don't understand everything, but I can continue. Those statements
- 41:49Speaker 1: build something inside you. They build resilience. They build patience.
- 41:53Speaker 1: They build self-trust. And self-trust is powerful. Because when you
- 41:57Speaker 1: trust yourself, you don't panic every time something changes. You
- 42:01Speaker 1: know that you can make decisions. You know that you
- 42:03Speaker 1: can recover. You know that you can learn. You know
- 42:06Speaker 1: that you can adjust. You know that you can survive
- 42:09Speaker 1: difficult seasons without destroying your future. That doesn't mean you
- 42:13Speaker 1: never need support. There is strength in reaching out to
- 42:16Speaker 1: trustworthy people when you need encouragement. There is strength in
- 42:20Speaker 1: healthy community. There is strength in friendship. There is strength
- 42:24Speaker 1: in allowing people to care about you. But support should
- 42:27Speaker 1: strengthen you, not replace your ability to stand. You should
- 42:31Speaker 1: be able to receive love without becoming dependent on constant attention.
- 42:35Speaker 1: You should be able to appreciate companionship without believing you
- 42:39Speaker 1: cannot function without it. You should be able to enjoy
- 42:42Speaker 1: someone's presence without making their presence the foundation of your identity.
- 42:46Speaker 1: Because people have their own lives. People have their own responsibilities.
- 42:50Speaker 1: People have their own struggles. People cannot be available every second.
- 42:55Speaker 1: And if your peace depends on somebody always responding, always calling,
- 42:59Speaker 1: always reassuring you, then your peace is outside of your control.
- 43:03Speaker 1: You have to bring your peace back home. Bring it
- 43:05Speaker 1: back to yourself. Bring it back to your values. Bring
- 43:08Speaker 1: it back to your faith. Bring it back to the
- 43:10Speaker 1: work you are doing. Bring it back to the person
- 43:13Speaker 1: you are becoming. You have to become a safe place
- 43:15Speaker 1: for yourself. When the world gets loud, you need somewhere
- 43:19Speaker 1: inside you that remains calm. When people misunderstand you, you
- 43:23Speaker 1: need somewhere inside you that still knows your intentions. When
- 43:26Speaker 1: someone leaves, you need somewhere inside you that reminds you
- 43:30Speaker 1: that your life continues. When plans fail, you need somewhere
- 43:33Speaker 1: inside you that says, we will figure this out. When
- 43:36Speaker 1: you make a mistake, you need somewhere inside you that says,
- 43:40Speaker 1: learn from this and keep moving forward. That inner voice matters,
- 43:44Speaker 1: because the way you speak to yourself becomes part of
- 43:46Speaker 1: the environment you live in every day. If you constantly
- 43:50Speaker 1: tell yourself that you are unwanted, you will begin looking
- 43:53Speaker 1: for evidence that proves it. If you constantly tell yourself
- 43:56Speaker 1: that nobody cares, you will interpret every silence as rejection.
- 44:00Speaker 1: If you constantly tell yourself that you cannot succeed, you
- 44:03Speaker 1: will hesitate when opportunities appear. But if you learn to
- 44:07Speaker 1: speak to yourself with honesty, patience, and courage, you create
- 44:11Speaker 1: a different internal environment. You can say, I am still learning.
- 44:15Speaker 1: I am allowed to grow. I can make mistakes without
- 44:18Speaker 1: becoming a mistake. I can experience rejection without becoming rejected
- 44:22Speaker 1: by myself. I can be alone without being worthless. I
- 44:26Speaker 1: can start again. Those words matter because your mind listens
- 44:30Speaker 1: to what you repeatedly tell it. And sometimes you have
- 44:33Speaker 1: to become the voice that interrupts the negative story. When
- 44:36Speaker 1: loneliness says, nobody wants you, answer, my worth is not
- 44:40Speaker 1: determined by who is available today. When loneliness says, you
- 44:44Speaker 1: will always be alone, answer, I don't know what tomorrow holds,
- 44:48Speaker 1: but I know I can handle today. When loneliness says,
- 44:50Speaker 1: go back, answer, I will not sacrifice my peace just
- 44:54Speaker 1: because I am uncomfortable. When loneliness says, give up, answer,
- 44:59Speaker 1: this is a season, not my entire story. That is
- 45:02Speaker 1: how you begin reclaiming your power. You stop allowing an
- 45:05Speaker 1: emotion to write your future. And there is another thing
- 45:08Speaker 1: you have to understand. Peace does not mean that everything
- 45:11Speaker 1: around you is peaceful. Peace is not the absence of problems.
- 45:15Speaker 1: Peace is learning how to remain grounded while problems exist.
- 45:18Speaker 1: You can have unanswered questions and still have peace. You
- 45:22Speaker 1: can have an uncertain future and still have peace. You
- 45:25Speaker 1: can have people who don't understand you and still have peace.
- 45:28Speaker 1: You can have an empty chair and still have peace.
- 45:31Speaker 1: You can have a quiet phone and still have peace.
- 45:34Speaker 1: You can be waiting for something to change and still
- 45:36Speaker 1: have peace. Because peace is not always about what is
- 45:39Speaker 1: happening around you. Sometimes peace is about what you have
- 45:43Speaker 1: decided will not control you. You decide that somebody else's
- 45:46Speaker 1: opinion will not control you. You decide that somebody else's
- 45:49Speaker 1: departure will not control you. You decide that loneliness will
- 45:53Speaker 1: not control you. You decide that rejection will not control you.
- 45:57Speaker 1: You decide that fear will not control you. That decision
- 46:00Speaker 1: is powerful, and you may have to make it repeatedly.
- 46:03Speaker 1: Some days will be easier than others. Some days you
- 46:06Speaker 1: will feel strong. Some days you will feel tired. Some
- 46:09Speaker 1: days you will feel confident. Some days you will question yourself.
- 46:13Speaker 1: That does not mean you are failing. Growth is not
- 46:15Speaker 1: always a straight line. You may have a strong day
- 46:18Speaker 1: followed by a difficult day. You may feel like you
- 46:21Speaker 1: have moved forward and then suddenly feel the old emotions return.
- 46:24Speaker 1: Don't punish yourself for that. Keep practicing. Keep choosing wisely.
- 46:29Speaker 1: Keep returning to your values. Keep reminding yourself of what
- 46:32Speaker 1: you have already learned. Strength is built through repetition. Every
- 46:36Speaker 1: time you resist the urge to return to something unhealthy,
- 46:39Speaker 1: you strengthen yourself. Every time you choose patience, you strengthen yourself.
- 46:44Speaker 1: Every time you keep your boundaries, you strengthen yourself. Every
- 46:48Speaker 1: time you choose purpose over distraction, you strengthen yourself. Every
- 46:52Speaker 1: time you sit with loneliness without allowing it to dictate
- 46:55Speaker 1: your choices, you strengthen yourself. And eventually, what once felt
- 46:59Speaker 1: impossible becomes normal. You realize that you can have an
- 47:02Speaker 1: evening alone and still have a meaningful evening. You can
- 47:05Speaker 1: have a weekend without constant plans and still enjoy your life.
- 47:09Speaker 1: You can spend time by yourself without interpreting it as
- 47:12Speaker 1: evidence that something is wrong with you. You can enjoy
- 47:15Speaker 1: your own company. You can discover hobbies. You can read.
- 47:18Speaker 1: You can create. You can learn. You can exercise in
- 47:21Speaker 1: healthy ways. You can organize your goals. You can spend
- 47:24Speaker 1: time with family or trusted friends. You can work towards
- 47:28Speaker 1: something that matters. You can build a life that does
- 47:31Speaker 1: not depend on constant stimulation. And once you develop that
- 47:34Speaker 1: kind of stability, you stop being afraid of empty spaces.
- 47:37Speaker 1: You stop rushing to fill every silence. You stop inviting
- 47:41Speaker 1: the wrong people into your life simply because the room
- 47:43Speaker 1: feels too quiet. You stop accepting unhealthy attention because you
- 47:47Speaker 1: are desperate to feel wanted. You stop confusing availability with compatibility.
- 47:52Speaker 1: You stop confusing attention with love. You stop confusing familiarity
- 47:56Speaker 1: with safety. And you start choosing relationships from a place
- 47:59Speaker 1: of strength rather than fear. That changes everything. When you
- 48:03Speaker 1: are secure within yourself, you don't need to cling. You
- 48:06Speaker 1: can let people breathe. You can allow relationships to develop naturally.
- 48:10Speaker 1: You can communicate honestly. You can say what you need
- 48:13Speaker 1: without demanding that somebody become responsible for your entire emotional world.
- 48:18Speaker 1: You can appreciate people without possessing them. You can love
- 48:21Speaker 1: without losing yourself. You can connect without becoming dependent. And
- 48:25Speaker 1: when conflict happens, you don't immediately assume that the relationship
- 48:29Speaker 1: is over. You can communicate. You can listen. You can
- 48:32Speaker 1: take responsibility. You can apologize when necessary. You can accept
- 48:36Speaker 1: an apology when appropriate. And if a relationship still needs
- 48:40Speaker 1: to end, you can grieve it without allowing the ending
- 48:42Speaker 1: to destroy your identity. That is maturity. You understand that
- 48:47Speaker 1: endings can hurt without making you worthless. You understand that
- 48:50Speaker 1: people can leave without taking your entire future with them.
- 48:54Speaker 1: You understand that a chapter can close while your story continues.
- 48:57Speaker 1: You understand that loneliness may visit without becoming your permanent address.
- 49:02Speaker 1: And perhaps that is one of the greatest forms of freedom.
- 49:05Speaker 1: Realizing that you do not have to fear every goodbye.
- 49:08Speaker 1: You can honor what was. You can learn from what happened.
- 49:11Speaker 1: You can appreciate what was good. You can acknowledge what
- 49:14Speaker 1: was painful. And you can still keep walking. Not because
- 49:18Speaker 1: you don't care. Because you care enough about your future
- 49:20Speaker 1: not to abandon it. So when loneliness comes, don't panic.
- 49:24Speaker 1: Don't immediately assume something is wrong. Don't immediately reach backward.
- 49:28Speaker 1: Don't immediately question your worth. Pause. Breathe. Listen. Ask yourself
- 49:33Speaker 1: what this moment can teach you. Ask yourself what you
- 49:35Speaker 1: need right now. Ask yourself whether you need rest, reflection,
- 49:39Speaker 1: connection with a trustworthy person, or simply patience, and then
- 49:43Speaker 1: choose your next step carefully. Because you are not required
- 49:46Speaker 1: to solve your entire life tonight. You only need to
- 49:49Speaker 1: make the next wise decision. One wise decision becomes another.
- 49:53Speaker 1: One healthy boundary becomes another. One disciplined day becomes another.
- 49:57Speaker 1: One courageous step becomes another, and slowly, you become somebody
- 50:01Speaker 1: who knows how to carry yourself through difficult seasons without
- 50:04Speaker 1: a
