- 0:59Is it another year after that? Oh wow, so much wisdom.
- 1:04So much wisdom. Well, all we need to do is read
- 1:07it. It's been prepared and passed
- 1:09down for generations. So how about let's do that,
- 1:11shall we? It's a plan.
- 1:13All right, let us read together Proverbs 1913 to 18.
- 1:27A foolish child is a calamity to a father.
- 1:31A quarrelsome wife is as annoying as constant dripping.
- 1:36Fathers can give their sons an inheritance of houses and
- 1:40wealth, but only the Lord can give an understanding wife.
- 1:46Lazy people sleep soundly, but idleness leaves them hungry.
- 1:53Keep the commandments and keep your life.
- 1:56Despising them leads to death. If you help the poor, you are
- 2:03lending to the Lord and He will repay you.
- 2:08Discipline your children while there is hope, otherwise you
- 2:11will ruin their lives. And again.
- 2:18A foolish child is a calamity to a father.
- 2:22A quarrelsome wife is as annoying as constant dripping.

- 2:33wealth, but only the Lord can give an understanding wife.
- 2:39Lazy people sleep soundly, but idleness leaves them hungry.
- 2:46Keep the commandments and keep your life.
- 2:50Despising them leads to death. If you help the poor, you are
- 2:55lending to the Lord and He will repay you.
- 3:02Discipline your children while there is hope, otherwise you
- 3:05will ruin their lives. Boy, there is all this
- 3:19encouragement in here to do these hard things that deep down
- 3:22we know are the right thing, but not the easy thing, right?
- 3:26Like lending to people who who are struggling or disciplining
- 3:30when we need to. Yes.
- 3:33And I think just that there's consequences if we don't make
- 3:37some of those good choices like lazy people.
- 3:39Sure, you'll get to rest and sleep soundly, but because you
- 3:43haven't done any work, you're going to be hungry.
- 3:45There's consequences for that. Yeah, you bet.
- 3:50Oh, Holy Spirit, thank you for your wisdom.
- 3:53Thank you for good wives. I think it's fair to say.
- 3:57And thank you that you give us such clear commands to follow
- 4:02your ways, to be kind to those who are struggling to to do the
- 4:09hard work of caring for our children or whatever situation
- 4:12we find ourselves in, Lord, and doing the hard things that we
- 4:16know are right. And that that is what builds
- 4:19your Kingdom and that is what builds good outcomes for us here
- 4:23and now. So, Lord, I pray that you give
- 4:26us your wisdom, give us your heart, give us your motivation,
- 4:31and draw us ever closer to you and your ways so that our lives
- 4:35can really reflect you and the hard work that you do for us.
- 4:40And we thank you for the hardest work that you've done in giving
- 4:43up your son so that you can draw us permanently back into your
- 4:47presence and your embrace. Here we are, and we love you,
- 4:51and we thank you. And we pray all of this in his
- 4:54name, Amen. Amen.
