So, let's start with the first month: January. In Amharic, January is ጃንዩወሪ. Luna: ጃንዩወሪ. Lucas: Perfect! Now February: ፌብሩዋሪ. Luna: ፌብሩዋሪ. That one's a mouthful! Lucas: Yeah, but you'll get it with practice. March is ማርች. Luna: ማርች. That sounds like 'march' in English. Lucas: Exactly, it's borrowed. April is ኤፕሪል. Luna: ኤፕሪል. Lucas: May is ሜይ. Luna: ሜይ. Lucas: And June is ጁን. Luna: ጁን. Lucas: Good! Let's do a quick review. January? Luna: ጃንዩወሪ. Lucas: February? Luna: ፌብሩዋሪ. Lucas: March? Luna: ማርች. Lucas: April? Luna: ኤፕሪል. Lucas: May? Luna: ሜይ. Lucas: And June? Luna: ጁን. Lucas: Perfect! Now let's use them in a sentence. For example: 'My birthday is in June.' In Amharic, you say 'ልደቴ በጁን ነው'. Luna: ልደቴ በጁን ነው. That's a good one. So if someone asks me, I can say my birthday is in June. Lucas: Exactly. And you can replace June with any month. Let's try: 'My birthday is in March.' What would that be? Luna: Uhh... ልደቴ በማርች ነው? Lucas: Yes! Perfect. So you just drop in the month. Let's do one more: 'My birthday is in February.'? Luna: ልደቴ በፌብሩዋሪ ነው. Lucas: Amazing! You're nailing it.
