  SPEAKER_00: Your home track, I'm sure you know you had a lot of feelings going back there for the first time since 2019.

  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it was uh nostalgic, no doubt.

  SPEAKER_01: And there were little details like certain landmarks that you see driving up to the track that I haven't thought about since 2019.

  SPEAKER_01: That when I was a kid, because it was an hour drive from my house to uh Joliet, and you know, we'd pass an IKEA and we're like, oh, there's the IKEA, we're 30 minutes out.

  SPEAKER_01: We'd pass a big American flag, uh, and we're like, oh, that's the American flag.

  SPEAKER_01: We're 15 minutes out.

  SPEAKER_01: So it was fun to kind of like drive in and see those things again and see the you know, the stupid little buildings that you you wouldn't think about, but as a kid I got excited to look at.

  SPEAKER_01: It was I'm so glad they brought a race back to Chicagoland.

  SPEAKER_01: The best way I would say it is, and we talked about this on Fast Talk, it was like nothing changed, and that's a good thing for a track that's been dormant for a while.

  SPEAKER_01: So I know they had to do some work, but it was as if the year was 2020 and I just showed up a year later.

  SPEAKER_01: Uh so nicely done by everyone who who put their hands on that project to bring that racetrack back to life.

  SPEAKER_00: He ran really well in the first stage, was running top five, and then spun down the racetrack, and that was pretty much the end of his night.

  SPEAKER_00: And then Tyler Reddick with that oil cooler problem as they had a little piece of a splitter go into their radiator, ruined his day.

  SPEAKER_00: And then Denny Hamlin, did they just they were there, they were a factor.

  SPEAKER_00: He just didn't, yeah, just didn't have the juice to get to the front.

  SPEAKER_00: And that's pretty much the story of the race.

  SPEAKER_00: We did have a couple of guys pay back some uh debts, I guess you could say, as Shane Van Gisbergen spun Austin Hill, and then Zane Smith wrecked Carson Hosevar and himself, which is like the cardinal rule of doing paid back.

  SPEAKER_00: It's like if you're going to wreck somebody, make sure you come out of it.

  SPEAKER_00: But it was a great race, another great mile and a half, and now we get to go to one of the most exciting tracks for the second time this season on the entire schedule, and that is Echo Park Speedway.

  SPEAKER_00: So we've shorted this race once before this season, and it's going to be a little bit of the same flavor as we go into Atlanta and Echo Park Speedway.

  SPEAKER_00: Again, everyone knows what I'm looking at.

  SPEAKER_00: It's going to be the matchups.

  SPEAKER_00: Andrew, what are you looking at as we get ready to head to the Peach State?

  SPEAKER_01: I I've come through uh just about every driver in the field just preparing uh for being on Pit Road this weekend and not knowing who I'm gonna get uh in my section of Pit Road.

  SPEAKER_01: I wanna I want to be prepared for everybody.

  SPEAKER_01: And one there's a few standout drivers based on where the trends are looking that honestly really surprised me.

  SPEAKER_01: And I'm I'm gonna read some of these off to you, David.

  SPEAKER_01: Ryan Blaney has finished top ten in seven of the last eight races at Echo Park Speedway.

  SPEAKER_00: It's not surprising though.

  SPEAKER_01: Like with how with how unpredictable it is, it being a modified super speedway, that is an impressive stat.

  SPEAKER_01: I did not see that.

  SPEAKER_01: I did not see that with a uh really many other drivers uh in the cup series field.

  SPEAKER_01: So uh not only does he have a good track record as of late at Echo Park, but my goodness, him and that 12 team, even though they're not winning races, they're on a freaking tear.

  SPEAKER_01: They're going for their eighth straight top ten so far this season, which is a record high for Blaney in his career.

  SPEAKER_01: So I really like him to top 10 at plus 120.

  SPEAKER_01: I think they're gonna have another good weekend if they can, if they can keep off four tires on the ground, and and man, Blaney is riding the momentum train.

  SPEAKER_00: I like that bet, and he's really, really good at these super speedway style drafting tracks.

  SPEAKER_00: He just knows how to get it done.

  SPEAKER_00: And 120 plus 120 is actually really good.

  SPEAKER_00: There's a couple of top tens that I like.

  SPEAKER_00: I think these Spire cars will be pretty good.

  SPEAKER_00: Carson Hosevar got his first ever career win at Talladega this year on a speedway track, and so he is plus 235 to top 10.

  SPEAKER_00: And if we remember correctly, he was a big factor in that truck race at Echo Park earlier this year, and he had a chance to win the Atlanta race, and he was up front and got passed late.

  SPEAKER_00: So I think Josevar took it.

  SPEAKER_00: And I think Josevar to top 10 at plus 235 is a pretty solid bet.

  SPEAKER_00: And then there's one more spire car that the odds for this they're a little bit longer, but it's got me scratching my head a little bit, wondering why they are so high.

  SPEAKER_00: The last time I looked at it, it was plus 500.

  SPEAKER_00: I think that seven car is really good at this track, too.

  SPEAKER_00: But those spire cars, they're really good and they've got really good teammates.

  SPEAKER_00: So I think both of those to top 10, they might be worth laying a few units on.

  SPEAKER_00: And then that's really the only two that I, you know, I'm I'm kind of favoring the spire cars, but I'm not really looking at putting money on a winner because the odds are a little bit higher across every sports book.

  SPEAKER_01: Uh, I will also jump in on the plus 235 to top 10 because Hosevar, if my notes are correct here, he's going for his fourth straight top 10 at Echo Park Speedway.

  SPEAKER_01: Shane Van Gisbergen finished sixth here at uh Echo Park Speedway when we were last there.

  SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna see how SVG does during the race.

  SPEAKER_01: Um, but his oval abilities have been improving, especially when you look at a super speedway hybrid of that.

  SPEAKER_01: And I don't know why you gotta scroll so far down on the odd sheet to find a plus 1000 Austin Hill top ten in the Cup Series race.

  SPEAKER_01: I mean, this guy is a legend when it comes to racing at Echo Park Speedway.

  SPEAKER_01: He's got five wins to his name.

  SPEAKER_01: He is the all-time lap leader in the O'Reilly Auto Parts series in at drafting tracks, and I think it's about time for him to be able to translate that over to a cup race.

  SPEAKER_01: This will be his first cup start at Echo Park since 2023, and I I like his chances.

  SPEAKER_00: And the RCR cars are really good on the drafting tracks.

  SPEAKER_00: We saw them qualify well at Daytona, Kyle Bush and uh Austin Dillon, they ran really well earlier this season at Echo Park.

  SPEAKER_00: And like you said, Austin Hill's money in an O'Reilly car on this particular track.

  SPEAKER_00: So I I like all of those.

  SPEAKER_00: Um, there's one more top 10, and I'm in the same line of your thinking as SVG.

  SPEAKER_00: So it's imperative that he runs well and that he gets a top 10.

  SPEAKER_00: And so that's that bet makes sense where I think they're gonna do all they can to keep him in the chase because he needs the points and he needs the the position for the end of the season.

  SPEAKER_00: Eric Jones to top 10, plus 850, that's super, super high, and I like that because I think he's in a Toyota, he's good at these style of tracks, and he's they've got the numbers.

  SPEAKER_00: The Toyotas work really, really well together at these particular tracks.

  SPEAKER_00: So I think an Eric Jones at plus eight fifty to top ten is also another solid, solid bet.

  SPEAKER_00: So um, is there anything else you're looking at before we get into the matchups that I've that I've got circled for this in season challenge because I'm all in on those.

  SPEAKER_01: There, there I know I I threw some winners out there and some top tens, but uh there's just too much risk for me what to want to get into.

  SPEAKER_01: So, David, uh I it's a segment basically at this point on the show, but who do you got in the matchups?

  SPEAKER_00: So their matchups are gonna be Bowman versus Gilland.

  SPEAKER_00: These are two guys that I, you know, I didn't I had Suarez going up against Bowman in the challenge.

  SPEAKER_00: So when I'm looking at this, I've got to take the winner over Bowman, and Gillilan's actually plus money.

  SPEAKER_00: So if you you look on Caesars, which I think gives you the best leg for the parlay, Gillilan is plus 115.

  SPEAKER_00: So I'll put the units on Gillillan at plus 115.

  SPEAKER_00: The next matchup, Briscoe versus Elliott.

  SPEAKER_00: I have Elliott as my one of my final two drivers, so I have to ride with him.

  SPEAKER_00: He's minus 128, so he's actually favored over Chase Briscoe, and he actually won this race last summer.

  SPEAKER_00: The next one, this is the one that it all hangs upon.

  SPEAKER_00: Christopher Bell, they're gonna put some extra wrap on that left wrist, make sure it's a little bit more stable for this race because of the high probability of you know getting into a crash.

  SPEAKER_00: We'll put the units on Bell at plus 100.

  SPEAKER_00: And then the most interesting matchup, Blaney versus Byron.

  SPEAKER_00: If you put money on each one of these individually, your payout will be pretty decent because there are some plus odds.

  SPEAKER_00: If you do the four-leg parlay, which at this point I've got to put a few units on it, it's plus 1,164, which isn't that's not that bad for a four-leg parlay.

  SPEAKER_01: Gilliland's best finish here is 15th versus Bowman has been able to put together a handful of top five performances, but anything can happen here.

  SPEAKER_01: And all you need is for Alex Bowman to get caught up in a crash and Gillan to escape it, and all of a sudden you're a winner.

  SPEAKER_00: I just went that one was one that I didn't I don't really have like a you know, I picked I if Suarez was in this matchup, I would definitely have picked Suarez over Bowman.

  SPEAKER_00: But um, since I don't have Bowman going any further, I figured I might as well put the money on the plus bet to give my odds a little bit better chance of happening and then to cash out with a little bit more units there at the end.
