- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to Bill Handle on demand from KFI AM
- 0:04Speaker 1: six forty.
- 0:07Speaker 2: If you really wanted to get ready for Dodger season,
- 0:13Speaker 2: you would be going to a game much like Marcel Marceau,
- 0:17Speaker 2: where you put a lot of white on your face
- 0:20Speaker 2: and blue and white.
- 0:22Speaker 3: Okay, never mind that didn't work out as a visual.
- 0:25Speaker 3: I was a visual. It's a mind joke.
- 0:27Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a mind joke. Yes, all right, Hey and Neil,
- 0:31Speaker 2: good morning. You're already attacking me. You beast heard you.
- 0:35Speaker 2: I was just wishing you were a mime.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Actually, And now a handle on the news, Ladies and gentlemen,
- 0:42Speaker 1: here's Bill Handle.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Oh yes, it's Friday the thirteenth, which means absolutely nothing
- 0:51Speaker 2: to me other than I have a ladder. I have
- 0:57Speaker 2: a black cat that I throw through the ladder and
- 1:01Speaker 2: the cat hits a mirror and it breaks. So it's
- 1:05Speaker 2: all good news, and do good morning to everyone. There's
- 1:11Speaker 2: Anne and you're you're always cold and you wear I'm
- 1:15Speaker 2: sorry you wear jackets.
- 1:17Speaker 3: You're at home. You can set your own temperature. Well yeah, okay,
- 1:22Speaker 3: so but you're always cold.
- 1:24Speaker 2: No one else, no one else in the studio is
- 1:26Speaker 2: cold unless that particular room.
- 1:28Speaker 3: All in different rooms.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, my bedroom runs so cold. Lindsey runs really hot.
- 1:35Speaker 2: So you should see my the covers and the blankets
- 1:39Speaker 2: that I have on when it's literally forty or four
- 1:44Speaker 2: thousand degrees outside, which we're going to get I.
- 1:47Speaker 3: Understand for the following week.
- 1:49Speaker 2: In any case, when there's mister Cole Schreiber, good morning,
- 1:53Speaker 2: Good morning, Bill, Okay, let me see Cono.
- 1:58Speaker 3: Good morning, William, good morning, and Neil savedra Man.
- 2:05Speaker 4: Happy Friday.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Okay, thank you. It's foody Friday, and ask handle anything Friday.
- 2:09Speaker 2: And next week on Neil's show, it's going to be
- 2:13Speaker 2: broadcast from my house.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Oh yeah, sports from your house next Yeah, not this Saturday,
- 2:18Speaker 1: but next that's right.
- 2:19Speaker 2: It is the following week, a week from tomorrow, and
- 2:24Speaker 2: we're broadcasting from my house. Why because some very very
- 2:29Speaker 2: generous donors gave the Katerina's Club. Remember the auction where
- 2:34Speaker 2: where everybody went ahead and a lot of it had
- 2:36Speaker 2: to do where people donated chunk money to be with
- 2:41Speaker 2: the various talk show hosts here Dean and John Cobelt
- 2:46Speaker 2: and Gary and Shannon, and interesting enough, they raised a
- 2:52Speaker 2: lot of money. I think co Belt raised I think
- 2:54Speaker 2: he raised twelve dollars for someone to be to go
- 2:58Speaker 2: to the baseball game with.
- 2:59Speaker 4: Him, like six grand or something.
- 3:02Speaker 3: I think it was like forty. I don't know if
- 3:03Speaker 3: it was six.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Usually it's in the range of four to five thousand,
- 3:07Speaker 2: which is absolutely terrific.
- 3:09Speaker 3: I mean, don't misunderstand. And people pay four to five
- 3:12Speaker 3: thousand dollars to go to the baseball game with Cobot.
- 3:17Speaker 3: I would pay four or five thousand dollars to not
- 3:19Speaker 3: go to a baseball baseball game with that co built.
- 3:22Speaker 4: We'll do that next year.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, next year, I'll pay money to not go.
- 3:28Speaker 2: I'll donate. And this was pretty impressive with these three
- 3:32Speaker 2: donors for us, they were extraordinarily, extraordinarily generous. For the
- 3:38Speaker 2: three donors, we raised over fifty thousand dollars for Katerina's clip,
- 3:44Speaker 2: and it was pretty impressive. So we're still went through
- 3:48Speaker 2: the servants gate. Oh yeah, oh yeah, you're not coming through.
- 3:52Speaker 2: Oh yeah, they're not coming through my house. No one's
- 3:54Speaker 2: coming through. There's no chance.
- 3:55Speaker 4: It's awkward when security stops me. So I want to.
- 3:58Speaker 3: Yes, yes, and we will have our security.
- 4:00Speaker 2: And if you come up with that, and as I
- 4:02Speaker 2: always say at these events, you put your hand up.
- 4:05Speaker 2: If you're going to shake my hand, do it very slowly,
- 4:08Speaker 2: no quick moves, because Dana will shoot you, as I say,
- 4:12Speaker 2: shoot him through the heart. And the entire Morning team
- 4:15Speaker 2: is also going to be there, Neil of course because
- 4:17Speaker 2: he's broadcasting.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Will you're going to be there? Right? Yeah?
- 4:20Speaker 2: Okay, Amy you're coming of course, all right? And of
- 4:23Speaker 2: course is coming. Uh and Cono you are or you
- 4:26Speaker 2: are not coming. I'm not.
- 4:29Speaker 3: That's because Codo. This is what Cono thinks of us.
- 4:33Speaker 4: How come he gets to miss it? We appli.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Anti social No, we get your car, I work and
- 4:40Speaker 2: you can't even make the drive.
- 4:42Speaker 3: I'm working.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Yeah, he was working because he works for iHeart. And
- 4:47Speaker 2: he's also on food stamps. There is a food stamp
- 4:51Speaker 2: office here in the building that the government put up,
- 4:54Speaker 2: a small office to hand out food stamps a breadline.
- 4:59Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, government.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Seven before we get to the new seven twenty, I
- 5:05Speaker 2: finally got one a story proving that Amy has no life.
- 5:13Speaker 5: That's easy.
- 5:14Speaker 3: Yeah, no, actually it's it's right on point.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Amy has no life story and you will understand you go, yeah,
- 5:22Speaker 2: that's true. Amy has no life whatsoever. All right, guys,
- 5:26Speaker 2: are you ready to do it.
- 5:28Speaker 5: Yes, I've got no life. I've got nothing better to do.
- 5:32Speaker 3: It's true.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Oh, by the way, you're gonna this is not going
- 5:37Speaker 2: to be stick. It's not me making fun of you
- 5:39Speaker 2: because oh it's part of the stick of the show. No, no,
- 5:41Speaker 2: this is real. Amy has no life and I will
- 5:45Speaker 2: prove it to you. Okay, let's do it, guys. It
- 5:49Speaker 2: is time for handle on the news with no life. Amy,
- 5:54Speaker 2: Neil Savedra and me lead story.
- 6:00Speaker 3: This is a tough one.
- 6:01Speaker 2: A refueling airplane in Iraq has crashed. This is an
- 6:06Speaker 2: American refueling flight and four were killed in the crash.
- 6:10Speaker 3: Two survived.
- 6:11Speaker 2: The important news I think coming out of there, and
- 6:14Speaker 2: this army, actually the Pentagon is making sure that the
- 6:20Speaker 2: news that it was not friendly fire and it was
- 6:23Speaker 2: not an attack by Iranian forces. It was an accident,
- 6:27Speaker 2: which happens, I mean there is I would like to
- 6:31Speaker 2: know what the number of service people killed per year
- 6:36Speaker 2: that the Pentagon actually plans for. When you have a
- 6:41Speaker 2: million and a half members you are going to have
- 6:44Speaker 2: and they're in the armed services, you are simply going
- 6:46Speaker 2: to have some deaths. And they actually planned for it,
- 6:50Speaker 2: like losing aircraft, they plan for everything, and this is
- 6:54Speaker 2: a heartbreaker. So now the number of people killed are
- 6:58Speaker 2: eleven seven in fire that was hit by the Iranian forces.
- 7:05Speaker 3: I think it was a missile.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Was there a missile or a drone that hit the
- 7:09Speaker 2: first seven that were killed and they were in a
- 7:14Speaker 2: little that was intelligence? Oh it was kuwait that's right, yeah, Okay, Moving.
- 7:19Speaker 5: On a targeted act. Boy yesterday was a doozy, right.
- 7:23Speaker 5: The FBI says that there was a targeted act of
- 7:27Speaker 5: violence against the Jewish community when forty one year old
- 7:32Speaker 5: guy rammed his vehicle into his synagogue outside of Detroit.
- 7:39Speaker 5: Apparently drove very deliberately and fast into the synagogue. The
- 7:44Speaker 5: guy is originally from Lebanon. He applied for naturalization in
- 7:49Speaker 5: twenty fifteen. He was granted US citizenship in twenty sixteen,
- 7:54Speaker 5: and there are reports that he had family in Lebanon
- 7:58Speaker 5: and his family was killed in the Israeli air strikes
- 8:00Speaker 5: that have been going on.
- 8:01Speaker 2: There an interesting story about this, you want to call
- 8:05Speaker 2: it interesting, is synagogues today.
- 8:09Speaker 3: Obviously a lot.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Of security is involved, and this one, unlike like other synagogues,
- 8:15Speaker 2: has armed security and those stanchions in front of the door,
- 8:22Speaker 2: you know, those posts that stopped vehicles from coming through.
- 8:25Speaker 2: You've seen those the ballards, Yeah, that's what they call him, ballards. Yeah, okay,
- 8:31Speaker 2: And there were those ballers, he was able to drive
- 8:34Speaker 2: around them and get through. So you're going to see
- 8:38Speaker 2: security change again.
- 8:41Speaker 1: It's heartbreaking when you drive through the Fairfax District or
- 8:45Speaker 1: any of these areas. When I'm driving around town and
- 8:48Speaker 1: seeing young school kids, Jewish school kids and the armed guards,
- 8:55Speaker 1: i mean military style armed guards in front of synagogues
- 8:59Speaker 1: and the Jews schools. I don't understand why we live
- 9:05Speaker 1: in California. That will save a rare plant, but the
- 9:12Speaker 1: protection and the way Jews are treated is so beyond comprehension.
- 9:19Speaker 3: Well, first of all, everybody hates the Jews.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Okay, let's start a lot of anti Semitism out there,
- 9:24Speaker 2: a lot of anti Israeli sentiment out there. And as
- 9:29Speaker 2: far as security is concerned, when my kids went to school,
- 9:32Speaker 2: they went to a Jewish day school at the synagogue,
- 9:35Speaker 2: there were armed security, and then there was security they
- 9:38Speaker 2: wouldn't even tell us about. And we're talking eighteen years ago,
- 9:43Speaker 2: twenty years ago. Today, it's far far worse and more prevalent.
- 9:50Speaker 2: Matter of fact, the other day I saw a picture
- 9:52Speaker 2: of my synagogue in the front of it and it
- 9:55Speaker 2: says mosque right on the front of it. Hoping to
- 10:01Speaker 2: divert attention. Let's take a break.
- 10:03Speaker 1: It's not even just Muslims is the problem, and you
- 10:06Speaker 1: don't get the protection because why.
- 10:08Speaker 3: There's homegrown That's true, there are.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm making a cheap shot against Muslims, which is
- 10:14Speaker 2: part and parcel of this show.
- 10:16Speaker 3: That's what this is about.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Cheap shots, as well as everything else that.
- 10:22Speaker 3: I can go through the list, but we have no
- 10:24Speaker 3: time for that.
- 10:25Speaker 1: This came in from a listener, by the way, who
- 10:27Speaker 1: is who's a veteran a marine. He said that most people,
- 10:33Speaker 1: I don't know if it's true or not, most people
- 10:35Speaker 1: in the military are killed by accidents rather than actual combat.
- 10:39Speaker 4: Ye know that, well, he says, you got.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Young people with heavy equipment and weaponry and accent.
- 10:45Speaker 4: Accidents are gonna happen.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Yeah, true, twenty two years old considering themselves basically invincible.
- 10:54Speaker 1: You're right, Okay, I just thought that was interesting. All right,
- 10:56Speaker 1: So you know, woman's prerogative. You can change your mind.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Trump yesterday tem temporarily lifted sanctions on Russia as far
- 11:06Speaker 1: as their oil is concerned, allowing shipping to go back
- 11:10Speaker 1: and forth and buyers around the world to use it.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Decision is significant obviously because as a turning point here
- 11:18Speaker 1: in America's effort to punish Russia for the Ukraine War
- 11:24Speaker 1: now is looking at another concern, which is oil prices.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Right, and so Zelensky is not very happy about this,
- 11:33Speaker 2: But Russia sure is because they had some real problem.
- 11:36Speaker 2: They do have some real problems in terms of their
- 11:38Speaker 2: economy because of the sanctions. Now it's all going to
- 11:42Speaker 2: be lifted at least pending the war, and we'll see
- 11:44Speaker 2: how long the war lasts.
- 11:46Speaker 5: Okay, another shooting, terrorist carries out a terrorist act. Go figure.
- 11:54Speaker 5: The FBI is investigating the deadly shooting at Old Dominion
- 11:59Speaker 5: University in Virginia. The guy who carried out the shooting
- 12:03Speaker 5: is dead. He served several years in prison for trying
- 12:07Speaker 5: to support ISIS. It's thirty six years old. He's a
- 12:12Speaker 5: former Virginia National guardsman. He pleaded guilty in October of
- 12:15Speaker 5: twenty sixteen to attempting to provide material support to the
- 12:19Speaker 5: terror group ISIS.
- 12:21Speaker 3: Didn't you do seven years? I think in five an.
- 12:23Speaker 5: Eleven year sentence. Yeah, he was released early, and so
- 12:27Speaker 5: he went into the building said is this rotc and
- 12:32Speaker 5: they said yep. And he started shooting and then the
- 12:35Speaker 5: ROTZI members, yes, stopped him.
- 12:37Speaker 4: Right how they stop him?
- 12:39Speaker 3: They jumped on him and he was stabbed.
- 12:42Speaker 4: To death and then they started saying you you.
- 12:48Speaker 5: I don't know that they did that, but that's a great.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Ending of this story that your hands man. Yeah, no,
- 12:55Speaker 2: good for them, Good for them. I love the story.
- 12:59Speaker 2: And he saved the US government pile of money because
- 13:02Speaker 2: it will be no trial and we're not going to
- 13:04Speaker 2: put him up for the rest of.
- 13:05Speaker 4: His life, which he would have gotten.
- 13:08Speaker 3: So good. Stab to death.
- 13:09Speaker 1: Okay, one more before we take our break, all right,
- 13:13Speaker 1: you have another shooting. This one it was a weird one.
- 13:16Speaker 1: This guy is convicted South la Man for firing a
- 13:21Speaker 1: rifle round through the tail of an LAPD helicopter last year.
- 13:25Speaker 1: So prosecutors said it could have caused a catastrophe. It
- 13:30Speaker 1: did not, But Douglas Buyers, sixty two was convicted of
- 13:33Speaker 1: two counts of assault on a peace officer and one
- 13:36Speaker 1: count of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
- 13:40Speaker 4: So yeah, by and.
- 13:46Speaker 2: He represented himself. I love his defense. No, animus towards
- 13:51Speaker 2: law enforcement. It would be out of character for him
- 13:54Speaker 2: to shoot at a police officer. Boy, there's a defense.
- 13:59Speaker 2: I wasn't even there when the cops showed up, and
- 14:04Speaker 2: he thought that originally he was being cited for growing
- 14:07Speaker 2: cannabis in his yard. I love people that defend themselves
- 14:13Speaker 2: or try to there.
- 14:14Speaker 1: There is just a step below those that call in
- 14:17Speaker 1: on Saturday for.
- 14:18Speaker 2: You know, they they are just such morons. One of
- 14:22Speaker 2: my favorite ones is a guy who shot a woman
- 14:26Speaker 2: who survived, and he represented himself and he turns to
- 14:31Speaker 2: her as a witness. She's now a witness, and he
- 14:34Speaker 2: is saying, now, tell me, do you do you recognize
- 14:38Speaker 2: the man that shot you. Yeah, I'm putting the finger
- 14:41Speaker 2: and it was.
- 14:42Speaker 3: You, you bastard, you did it. That works in front
- 14:46Speaker 3: of the jury.
- 14:46Speaker 4: Yes, strike strike that from the record, all right.
- 14:52Speaker 3: I recognized.
- 14:54Speaker 5: Maybe the Kenyon should have won. You remember the finish
- 14:58Speaker 5: from the La Marathon on Sunday. He lost. Neil, the
- 15:03Speaker 5: guy from Kenya lost by eighteen hundreds of a second.
- 15:07Speaker 5: It looked like he was going to win, and then
- 15:09Speaker 5: a late charging sprint from Nathan Martin changed the outcome.
- 15:13Speaker 5: But here's what happened less than a quarter mile away
- 15:16Speaker 5: from the finish line. Michael Kamani Camu apparently had his
- 15:22Speaker 5: race take an unexpected turn because of a fan. So
- 15:25Speaker 5: there's all these fans cheering him on. One kind of
- 15:27Speaker 5: got in the way, was waving a flag and led
- 15:30Speaker 5: him off course. Video posted on Reddit shows come out
- 15:34Speaker 5: following a fan off course for about ten seconds.
- 15:37Speaker 2: Oh and he lost by in less than one second,
- 15:41Speaker 2: eighteen hundreds of a second.
- 15:43Speaker 4: He would have won.
- 15:44Speaker 3: It's that simple.
- 15:46Speaker 4: He was robbed.
- 15:47Speaker 2: Terrific, he was robbed. I've been robbed and there's been
- 15:52Speaker 2: no filing of.
- 15:57Speaker 4: That's horrible.
- 15:58Speaker 2: No protests, no protest ur file. So the race stands
- 16:02Speaker 2: the way it was. So the uh the new.
- 16:08Speaker 4: Less than supreme leader.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Yeah except man, you gotta love him.
- 16:15Speaker 4: Yeah, no sour cream on this guy.
- 16:19Speaker 1: So he has a new verified account on X, the
- 16:23Speaker 1: you know social media platform owned by Elon Musk. So
- 16:28Speaker 1: come any whose X handle is? Anybody want to help
- 16:33Speaker 1: me with this?
- 16:33Speaker 2: Amy ra ra Ben rob.
- 16:38Speaker 3: Bearing what is that?
- 16:40Speaker 5: That's not even his name?
- 16:42Speaker 2: Gee, so maybe that's some kind of a helb. I
- 16:46Speaker 2: don't know, farsie name who.
- 16:49Speaker 4: Calb. Yeah, went on.
- 16:53Speaker 1: A tweet storm, they say yesterday about the war against
- 16:57Speaker 1: Iran by the US and Israeli forces. So he starts
- 17:05Speaker 1: with deer fighter brothers, a desire of the masses of
- 17:09Speaker 1: the people in continuation of effective, any regret inducing defense.
- 17:15Speaker 4: Wow.
- 17:16Speaker 1: So he's got forty four thousand followers on x and
- 17:20Speaker 1: it's a verified account, so he's paying what is that
- 17:22Speaker 1: fourteen bucks or whatever about.
- 17:24Speaker 3: Something along those minds.
- 17:26Speaker 2: And the president, the President of course, responded with we
- 17:30Speaker 2: are going to kill you.
- 17:31Speaker 3: You will not survive.
- 17:32Speaker 2: He comes back and responds saying there's no chance, and
- 17:36Speaker 2: you're ugly. The President responds, no, you're ugly, and then
- 17:41Speaker 2: the response is no, you're really ugly. And then it
- 17:44Speaker 2: goes back and forth and you're so ugly that when
- 17:48Speaker 2: you were born the doctor slapped your mama.
- 17:50Speaker 3: I mean, it went on and on.
- 17:52Speaker 4: And then it was grock, is it true? This is
- 17:55Speaker 4: the supreme leader?
- 17:56Speaker 1: And then came out and this is the heavy one,
- 18:00Speaker 1: and he said the US is rubber, Iran is glue.
- 18:06Speaker 1: Whatever you say bounces off us and sticks to you.
- 18:10Speaker 2: So and it will be as much as fun as
- 18:12Speaker 2: we make of this. There actually is. That's part of
- 18:16Speaker 2: wars now. Is these tweets or a disc track? Now
- 18:21Speaker 2: it's back and forth and back and forth.
- 18:23Speaker 5: X yeah ay what else is interesting about this? There
- 18:27Speaker 5: are lots of reports HEIGS has said that that the
- 18:30Speaker 5: leader is injured, probably mutilated, or something to that effect.
- 18:34Speaker 5: There are lots of reports that, oh yeah, just figured
- 18:37Speaker 5: that he lost a leg and that he may be
- 18:39Speaker 5: in a coma and is not aware of what's going on.
- 18:43Speaker 5: Those are it's it's showing up on like MSN. It
- 18:46Speaker 5: hasn't hit the major networks yet, but so well.
- 18:50Speaker 1: ConA and I were talking about that, like this guy
- 18:52Speaker 1: may be dead for all we know, and they you know,
- 18:55Speaker 1: they're coming out on Twitter.
- 18:56Speaker 5: Well in the X right, it's a statement that he
- 18:59Speaker 5: released yesterday. He released yesterday was read on state TV
- 19:04Speaker 5: by a news anchor. It was not read and we
- 19:06Speaker 5: haven't seen him. It wasn't read by him.
- 19:09Speaker 2: You ever noticed that the news anchors from these countries
- 19:12Speaker 2: are always women for some reason, they use a tremendous
- 19:16Speaker 2: number of women anchors.
- 19:18Speaker 4: I don't watch the Yeah no, and it was.
- 19:20Speaker 3: A woman who read this. All right, we have more
- 19:25Speaker 3: stories for our break.
- 19:27Speaker 5: Look who teamed up? It was Republican Tim Scott from
- 19:33Speaker 5: South Carolina and Democrat Elizabeth Warren. They got together wrote
- 19:37Speaker 5: a bill and it passed in the Senate in a
- 19:40Speaker 5: bar It bipartisan measure aimed at boosting the supply of
- 19:44Speaker 5: housing and bringing down prices. Apparently, it's going to create
- 19:46Speaker 5: a series of grants and pilot programs for housing construction,
- 19:49Speaker 5: and also revised federal definitions to encourage more housing units
- 19:54Speaker 5: and also to stop investors big corporations from buying up
- 19:58Speaker 5: single family homes.
- 20:01Speaker 2: Which the President pushed like crazy. And I don't think
- 20:05Speaker 2: too many people are opposed to that. I mean, eighty
- 20:08Speaker 2: nine votes in the Senate. How often does that happen,
- 20:11Speaker 2: especially in this day and age. It is the twenty
- 20:14Speaker 2: first century Road to Housing Act.
- 20:18Speaker 5: It's because both sides want to take credit for affordability.
- 20:21Speaker 2: Yep, it's roja, which is a marineris sauce also at
- 20:27Speaker 2: the same time, Okay, moving on, Well that's for you.
- 20:33Speaker 3: That was for you, Neil Ex.
- 20:34Speaker 4: I appreciate it. When it comes to the military.
- 20:38Speaker 1: Back in the day, it was things like whiskey tango foxtrot.
- 20:41Speaker 1: Now it is L one R one square, R one left,
- 20:46Speaker 1: R two R one, which is actually a grand theft
- 20:52Speaker 1: auto cheat code to unlock unlimited ammunition for the user controller.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Why does that matter, Well, the White House is trying
- 21:02Speaker 1: to speak video game to younger people in the war,
- 21:06Speaker 1: and they sent a video out and it had some
- 21:10Speaker 1: grand Theft Audios and Andreas footage in it transitions to
- 21:15Speaker 1: the US military bombing Iranian vehicles, and then the slogan
- 21:22Speaker 1: or the word wasted pops up and appears on the screen,
- 21:25Speaker 1: which is the exact same image that flashes on the
- 21:29Speaker 1: game when a player dies.
- 21:31Speaker 4: They're trying to appeal to young people with this war,
- 21:34Speaker 4: I suppose.
- 21:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:37Speaker 2: I know, either that's incredibly stupid or it's very smart
- 21:41Speaker 2: or both.
- 21:42Speaker 4: In the eighties would have been finish him.
- 21:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:50Speaker 5: There's homelessness and human trafficking in LA. We're not talking
- 21:55Speaker 5: about it. Report on how Olympic organizers are going to
- 21:58Speaker 5: tackle civil rights, homelessusiness, and human trafficking ahead of and
- 22:03Speaker 5: during the twenty twenty eight Summer Olympic Games hasn't been
- 22:07Speaker 5: made public by the city it was supposed to make
- 22:11Speaker 5: it public well, it was filed two months ago. No
- 22:15Speaker 5: date for its release has been set, and human rights
- 22:17Speaker 5: advocates say they're worried that these issues are not going
- 22:21Speaker 5: to get the attention and the funding they need before
- 22:23Speaker 5: the games.
- 22:25Speaker 2: Really, homelessness is not going to get the attention that
- 22:28Speaker 2: it needs. Okay, we don't talk about it, and other
- 22:31Speaker 2: news outlets and people don't talk about it every other minute,
- 22:34Speaker 2: so I don't know.
- 22:36Speaker 4: On the sidewalk.
- 22:39Speaker 1: Two days ago was a very deranged, houseless person with
- 22:47Speaker 1: one of those eight foot nine foot polls with the
- 22:52Speaker 1: saw on the end of it for cutting branches that
- 22:54Speaker 1: are high up, talking to a bottle of water and
- 22:57Speaker 1: swinging it around at passerbys.
- 23:02Speaker 3: So I hope he.
- 23:03Speaker 1: Gets the help he needs for the Olympics or before
- 23:07Speaker 1: shoot him. Yeah, all right. Salsa is spicy. I repeat,
- 23:14Speaker 1: salsa is spicy. There was a visitor to New York
- 23:19Speaker 1: City from Germany. This German tourist said that there's, you know,
- 23:25Speaker 1: no good tacos to eat in his small German hometown,
- 23:30Speaker 1: so it was one of the things he put on
- 23:31Speaker 1: his list. However, turns out los tacos number one there.
- 23:37Speaker 1: Salsa is spicy. So he was suing for one hundred
- 23:41Speaker 1: thousand dollars in damage it after he allegedly experienced gastrointestinal
- 23:46Speaker 1: wow problems, high blood pressure and emotional distress from eating
- 23:51Speaker 1: spicy salsa at this New York City restaurant in twenty
- 23:55Speaker 1: twenty four, and it was shot down by the US
- 23:57Speaker 1: district judge who wrote, in his opinion, salsa is often spicy.
- 24:04Speaker 3: Yeah, good for him and Germany. They don't do this
- 24:07Speaker 3: kind of crap.
- 24:08Speaker 4: They don't have some lawyers.
- 24:10Speaker 3: Yeah, they don't do this. It's some lawyer, some sleeves.
- 24:13Speaker 2: While lawyer got hold of him and saying, oh boy,
- 24:15Speaker 2: I can make money for you. Uh.
- 24:19Speaker 5: Stowaway was sla as a fox. That's because he was
- 24:22Speaker 5: a fox. A red fox slipped onto a cargo ship
- 24:25Speaker 5: that traveled from Southampton, England, all the way to New York.
- 24:30Speaker 5: Maybe he was looking for a better life in the
- 24:32Speaker 5: free world. But too bad, he's been taken to the
- 24:35Speaker 5: Bronx Zoo. Seems to be settling in well. The zoos
- 24:38Speaker 5: director of animal program says, he's gone through a lot.
- 24:41Speaker 2: You are aware that England is also free. Just wanted
- 24:46Speaker 2: to point that out, Amy, h huh.
- 24:50Speaker 5: Well, you know, the cost of living is very expensive.
- 24:52Speaker 5: Maybe he was looking for more affordability.
- 24:55Speaker 4: There you go.
- 24:55Speaker 2: We're trying, we're stretching, Okay, we want one free from guns. Okay, one, okay,
- 25:01Speaker 2: there you go.
- 25:02Speaker 3: One more to go?
- 25:03Speaker 4: All right.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Chinese national apparently had ants in his pants and in
- 25:09Speaker 1: a couple of toilet rolls and a couple other things
- 25:12Speaker 1: because he was trying to smuggle more than two thousand
- 25:15Speaker 1: Queen gerdin ants out of the country into uh the
- 25:22Speaker 1: the into Africa. But can I don't know why. Someone
- 25:28Speaker 1: explained I'm going.
- 25:29Speaker 2: Through this why for some for some reason, Uh, these
- 25:33Speaker 2: ants are they're they're collected.
- 25:37Speaker 6: Yeah, they make pets out of them, which is why. Well,
- 25:40Speaker 6: because I guess these these ants can do tricks. Roll
- 25:43Speaker 6: over heel, you're gonna get six of them. But yeah,
- 25:53Speaker 6: I guess people keep them as pants. But it's just weird.
- 25:57Speaker 6: I wonder what's the I don't know. That's so so sharing. Okay,
- 26:02Speaker 6: all right, we're we are done.
- 26:04Speaker 3: The DMV. The DMV has a great reputation.
- 26:07Speaker 2: I've talked about that in terms of the lines have
- 26:11Speaker 2: been reduced. It takes much it's a much quicker time
- 26:14Speaker 2: to get help. And well not so much with the
- 26:18Speaker 2: following story. Yeah, this puts the V the DMV in
- 26:22Speaker 2: sort of a bad light. We'll be back and I'll
- 26:24Speaker 2: do that story, and then it's seven twenty Amy has
- 26:27Speaker 2: no life, and then what kno, you're wagging your finger
- 26:34Speaker 2: at me.
- 26:36Speaker 5: Oh no, I was just waiting for you, and that's excited.
- 26:39Speaker 3: Well, thanks, I appreciate that. Okay, thank you.
- 26:41Speaker 2: We try, we try, Okay, we'll do the DMV story
- 26:45Speaker 2: coming back. This is kf I AM six forty Live
