- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, So Steve, this is our last break of
- 0:03Speaker 1: the day. You wanted to do something special, all right,
- 0:05Speaker 1: I got I want to say something first, and then
- 0:07Speaker 1: I'm letting my free talk for a sake, all right,
- 0:10Speaker 1: So let's go today. I want to have a conversation
- 0:15Speaker 1: with you all about faith. You know, I think a
- 0:18Speaker 1: lot of people don't like talking about faith because for
- 0:23Speaker 1: some reason. I don't know, man, I just think a
- 0:28Speaker 1: part of it is political correctness in our society today.
- 0:32Speaker 1: I think some people don't talk about faith because so
- 0:36Speaker 1: many people are from different faiths. But when I'm talking
- 0:40Speaker 1: about faith, I'm merely talking about the belief in the
- 0:43Speaker 1: belief in God. That's all I'm talking about. You know,
- 0:46Speaker 1: for whatever your faith is, I'm cool with everybody's faith, man.
- 0:51Speaker 1: I'm not that judgmental goud. I'm not the guy that says,
- 0:54Speaker 1: if you don't believe what I believe, yours is off base,
- 0:56Speaker 1: because that's not true. That's just one hundred percent not true.
- 1:03Speaker 1: All faiths are valid. Every faith is valid, that is
- 1:07Speaker 1: God based. All of them are valid. I don't care
- 1:13Speaker 1: if you Jewish, Muslim, Catholic, Protestant, Gentile, jew, I don't care.
- 1:21Speaker 1: I don't care. As long as your faith is God based,
- 1:25Speaker 1: the belief that God is who he is, that's all
- 1:28Speaker 1: that matters. I want to talk to you about faith
- 1:32Speaker 1: for a minute from the standpoint of are what are
- 1:35Speaker 1: you and God talking about? Because man, I've learned so
- 1:40Speaker 1: much about faith. A friend of mine sent me a
- 1:44Speaker 1: scripture Psalms five three, and it's an important scripture, man,
- 1:49Speaker 1: because what it did for me was it taught me
- 1:52Speaker 1: something about my faith. Because if you're a person of faith,
- 1:56Speaker 1: then you have a relationship with God, and God has
- 1:59Speaker 1: a relationship with you, and he hears you when you cry.
- 2:04Speaker 1: And it was sort of ironic because I had started
- 2:09Speaker 1: having my morning meditation a few weeks ago, and I
- 2:13Speaker 1: just can't even tell you how it has completely changed
- 2:16Speaker 1: the outcome of my days. It hasn't stopped anything from happening,
- 2:22Speaker 1: but it has changed the way I cope with it
- 2:26Speaker 1: and the way I look for it. See, I don't
- 2:27Speaker 1: worry about tomorrow anymore. Oh I'm making plans, but I'm
- 2:32Speaker 1: not worrying about tomorrow because I was reading something somewhere
- 2:38Speaker 1: that you cannot change. By worrying, you cannot give yourself
- 2:45Speaker 1: one hour of extra life from worrying. If you worry,
- 2:49Speaker 1: you can't add an hour to your life. So if
- 2:53Speaker 1: by worrying you can't even add an hour of time
- 2:57Speaker 1: to your life, which is one of the most important
- 2:59Speaker 1: things you can have, is your time, why would you
- 3:01Speaker 1: worry about anything else. So in the morning, when I'm
- 3:04Speaker 1: talking to God Psalms five and three, I always ask
- 3:10Speaker 1: God in the morning to hear my voice. When I'm
- 3:14Speaker 1: praying to you, I'm asking him to hear my voice.
- 3:17Speaker 1: And after he hears my voice, then I wait for
- 3:21Speaker 1: him with an expect with an expectation that what I
- 3:26Speaker 1: cried out for will happen, no doubt, no worry. It
- 3:31Speaker 1: is going to happen. Now. It may not happen that day.
- 3:36Speaker 1: But since I put in my request with that kind
- 3:39Speaker 1: of faith attached to it, God's promises never come back void.
- 3:44Speaker 1: God has never told us he would do something for us,
- 3:47Speaker 1: and he didn't do it. God didn't ever promise something
- 3:50Speaker 1: to be so, and we found out later on it wasn't.
- 3:54Speaker 1: All of God's promises is true. He don't. His word
- 3:57Speaker 1: don't come back void. So when you do that, man,
- 4:00Speaker 1: you put your your prayer out there and your meditation,
- 4:04Speaker 1: and you put it out there with the faith and
- 4:06Speaker 1: you look forward expectingly, and that has changed me. Are
- 4:10Speaker 1: you discussing your future with God? He wants us to
- 4:13Speaker 1: make decisions now. He would love to be included in
- 4:16Speaker 1: the decision making process. That's the relationship he wants with us.
- 4:19Speaker 1: But when God allows you to make a decision a plan,
- 4:22Speaker 1: he wants to hear your plan. Sometimes your plan are
- 4:25Speaker 1: in line with what he is, and sometimes he needs
- 4:29Speaker 1: to make an adjustment. So when you ask God for
- 4:32Speaker 1: something and at the end of it you say, God,
- 4:34Speaker 1: let your will be done, then guess what. I may
- 4:37Speaker 1: ask for something, but always tag with let your will
- 4:41Speaker 1: be done, because if it's not your will, then show
- 4:43Speaker 1: me whatever that is. Because his adjustment that he makes
- 4:49Speaker 1: is gonna be way better than your plans. God's adjustments
- 4:54Speaker 1: is better to open. That's a cool part about it
- 4:58Speaker 1: is it makes the adjustment. You're going to agree with
- 5:02Speaker 1: them because it's going to be spot on on chess.
