- 1:32real quick because y'all been doing y'all thing, you know, I
- 1:35pay attention from afar. Thank you, Sarah.

- 1:41your Co host. Oh yeah, yeah.

- 1:48lock Titian life you know. Respect, respect.
- 1:51And then Nashi killing the gang but and both of y'all be in the
- 1:55gym OK come. On man trying to stay.
- 1:58Right. Listen, got to, got to stay
- 2:01looking good. That's something.
- 2:03People take for granted just just waking up to do it.
- 2:05Even if you don't, you know, always give your all.
- 2:08Just going there is an accomplishment itself these
- 2:10days. Oh yes, Oh yes, and I said get.
- 2:13I'm like, I have to give my girl a shout out because Cassandra V
- 2:16energy. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 2:18She said that baby is not going to stop her from looking good
- 2:21and I love that for her. I ain't glad I had to get on her
- 2:24ass this this past week, you know?
- 2:26Not too much, not. Too much.
- 2:28Hey, when the last time you went to the gym?
- 2:30Oh, last week. Hold on now, let's get to it.
- 2:33You can. Take a break.
- 2:34She can take a break. You know, you know, if you take
- 2:37a break, it's what. You're right, but but you have
- 2:41to give her grace because she just had that baby.
- 2:44I do for sure. And she the the bounce back game
- 2:47is crazy. I definitely give her grace and
- 2:49I applause it, but I also know her when when it starts going
- 2:52over that four or five days, I already know what's going to
- 2:55happen, so I ain't going. To just slap her on the ass, be
- 2:58like, babe, go outside, yeah. For sure.
- 2:59But you know, I'm not there. They're still in Florida.
- 3:01I'm in Canada. So that's another issue.
- 3:03You feel me Like I will happily take care of my kids so, but you
- 3:08know, when I'm not there, it's a little different.
- 3:10It's our yeah. Yeah, so, you know, I give her a
- 3:13little grace, but I also, you got to stay on the ass.
- 3:15You got to yeah, facts, facts. All right, man, I just, you
- 3:19know, seen, seen some things that have happened on the
- 3:23Internet and we'll get into that.
- 3:25And I feel like y'all were the perfect guest.
- 3:27And now she don't make me get on your ass cuz the last time you
- 3:29was on here you let that girl take over the podcast OK?
- 3:33I did. You did, you better stay out
- 3:35your show cuz this is your friend right here.
- 3:37This is your good friend. I got to go.
- 3:40UK I had to take it down. That's how much trouble I was
- 3:42in. Wow Hey, that episode was yeah,
- 3:50we ain't gonna go back to that. But yeah, I got in trouble for
- 3:52that man. All right, so OK, First off, I
- 3:58got a question for both of y'all and then we don't get into the
- 4:00the group topics. This is for you, Sarah.
- 4:02So in the two years that you've been doing Tequila Babies, what
- 4:05has been the biggest challenge in having your own podcast?
- 4:10Oh, the biggest challenge is the time.
- 4:15What do you mean the the like having to one make appearances
- 4:19like you have to network. You have to So it's just like,
- 4:22OK, I'm I'm working a full time job.
- 4:23I'm doing here, I'm a mom. Then I have this, you know, new
- 4:27hobby and it's just like, OK, wow, I'm putting all of this
- 4:30together and I'm having to divide myself into this place
- 4:36one day, this place another day. So I would say that just
- 4:40managing my time feel like I'm being pulled in so many
- 4:46different ways. Have you ever had a guest either
- 4:50not show up like say they were so ready to go and then just
- 4:54last minute? Oh yeah, I'm nervous.
- 4:56I can't do it. I feel like all our guests are
- 4:59nervous but we actually it was 1 episode where our guest was
- 5:04actually like sick and lost his voice and we ended up like
- 5:06canceling the episode. And fun fact is like we don't
- 5:11have a, we don't really have like a number six episode.
- 5:16We used we used a filler episode from a podcast that we appeared
- 5:20on. OK, OK, whatever works.
- 5:24Fuck. It it worked because we kind of
- 5:26took over that podcast anyways. It was like our show so was like
- 5:31okay, whatever, just going to be episode 6.
- 5:32So like on YouTube we have 40 episodes, but like on like
- 5:37Spotify and other platforms? No, we only have like 39.
- 5:45You know, I was listening to the last one you guys did.
- 5:48I think her name was Ziggy is that?
- 5:51Her name? Yeah, Ziggy.
- 5:52That was a great episode. That was I was listening to it
- 5:55on Apple podcast and then I was just like, you know what, let me
- 5:57let me watch this. It was more entertaining
- 5:59watching. I love the video side of of
- 6:01podcasting because you get to see, you know, expression.
- 6:03Everything. You better put the GET to put
- 6:05the face too for the voice, right?
- 6:09OK, OK. And now she.
- 6:13Yes. What's your biggest pet peeve
- 6:16with dealing with people in their hair?
- 6:19Oh. My.
- 6:20Biggest pet peeve is clients coming with their hair tangled.
- 6:29One of my rules is you have to come washed and blow dried.
- 6:34But I do understand that not everybody has a blow dryer or
- 6:37they can't blow dry everybody. Got a blow dryer?
- 6:40Yeah, like, I don't know, some people got a blow dryer.
- 6:42Some people don't have the blow dryer with the comb.
- 6:44That's fine. OK, But it's nothing to take a
- 6:47comb and just untangle it, put in some big twists or something
- 6:51and come I will blow dry. But when you come and it's
- 6:54untangled, not only does it hurt my hand, but the time.
- 6:58Look at this. This is wifey for the baby.
- 7:01Yeah, the I already know. It's how I'm so listen.
- 7:03I'm all you need. I'm locked in with all the all
- 7:06the women products. You feel me?
- 7:07Like I gotta pay attention. You got a.
- 7:10House full of girls you gonna have.
- 7:11All that I I shop for tampons. All that too.
- 7:14We're not gonna talk about that. Oh, I'll be getting manipulated
- 7:22by that little 2 year old man. Good Lord, she's getting very
- 7:25good at it. I ain't gonna lie.
- 7:27But I'm going, man. All right, so we're gonna go
- 7:31ahead and jump into the topic here for you ladies recently,
- 7:36Sarah, I've seen that you got baptized and I applaud that.
- 7:39You know, let me make. Sure.
- 7:41I will get my. Oh, there you go.
- 7:43I hit the right button. Yeah, and then I think now she
- 7:48was that last year or two years ago you got baptized.
- 7:51Two years ago. OK.
- 7:52And I applaud you as well. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 7:54yeah, yeah, yeah. These are big steps.
- 7:57Big steps. Alright, So that's one thing I
- 7:59wanted to talk about. So I'm gonna let Nashi answer
- 8:03this first. So for you, right, what was the
- 8:06moment that led you to the conclusion of wanting to get
- 8:08baptized? Like, was there a moment?
- 8:10Was it over time? Like what was it?
- 8:12OK, so it was. So I actually was baptized
- 8:18before I think, but when I got baptized it didn't go through
- 8:24JKJK. They put the wrong water.
- 8:30So I got baptized when I was younger, going to like my
- 8:34Haitian church, right? But that was more so like just
- 8:39doing stuff because, you know, your Haitian parents, you see
- 8:42people doing it at the church. I didn't have an understanding
- 8:45or anything like that. So for me personally, I didn't
- 8:48count it, right? Right.
- 8:49The second time I got baptized, which to me was like the real
- 8:53time I was led to it because I was in a really dark place in my
- 8:58life. Like a lot of people don't know
- 9:00my testimony, but I was like a pothead.
- 9:04I smoked weed for like 7 years straight morning, night,
- 9:09evening, afternoon. And I knew that I needed a
- 9:12change and getting baptized for me was that first step.
- 9:17And now I am almost three years without it.
- 9:21OK. Yeah, and how you feeling
- 9:23without it? I.
- 9:24Feel great. I feel great.
- 9:25I feel more clear. Like smoking fades your How
- 9:31should I put it? It takes you away from the real
- 9:34world. I think that's the point.
- 9:36That's the point, you know, a lot of people smoke it for
- 9:40different reasons, you know, to deal with what?
- 9:44Not to deal with things, you know, socially.
- 9:47I used to smoke, but my, my smoking literally lasted like a
- 9:50six month period. I started and then I stopped
- 9:52once I had got my job with TSA because, yeah, they were drug
- 9:56testing and stuff. So I ain't smoking like 15
- 9:58years. I ain't gonna lie, it's been a
- 9:59minute. But it was very easy for me
- 10:01because money and smoking, yeah, I'm going to choose making
- 10:05money. But people still don't choose
- 10:09making money. Either way, they're going to
- 10:10find a fake pee. They're going to find ways to
- 10:13get a job. But see I know you know with the
- 10:16weed smoking, I never understood how *** is always broke but they
- 10:18always got money for some damn weed.
- 10:20I'm telling you in that somebody in that situation, I always had
- 10:24just enough to give me some weed in the.
- 10:26But. You go, you go, you go do some
- 10:29things correct. You going to make it?
- 10:31Make it right? Yeah.
- 10:33Just like a crackhead, they always got the money for it.
- 10:37Yeah, one way or another. OK.
- 10:39And then, alright now Sarah, what was what was your moment,
- 10:42your guiding force towards it? I think I went through a lot
- 10:49that, you know, I kind of just been adding more things to my
- 10:53plate instead of, you know, just facing things head on and in my
- 11:01engagement bought a home. Oh, you bought a home, Girl, You
- 11:06saying that like that? Ain't nothing.
- 11:08Congratulations. Come on.
- 11:10It's a lot like I, you know, I've been, I worked, I, you
- 11:13know, quit my job, bet it on myself, then I'm like, OK, well,
- 11:18shit, this ain't really as easy as y'all made entrepreneurship
- 11:22to be this shit kind of crazy. So just like, you know, even
- 11:27dating, navigating date dating, that's how we kind of like
- 11:30started the podcast. Same same.
- 11:33Just all those things that kind of make your life change.
- 11:38It got overwhelming, You know, it got very overwhelming.
- 11:42And I'm like, OK, I need to find a church home.
- 11:45I need to really dive back into who, you know, who God is.
- 11:50And for me, it was kind of like he told me to do it.
- 11:56Like, you know, I heard him say do it.
- 11:59And it's so crazy because the guy that I was talking to kept,
- 12:02you know, he kept trying to hint at us again, baptized.
- 12:04And I'm just like, oh, that ain't that ain't for me like
- 12:08that. Sound like a keeper that ain't a
- 12:10normal *** right now. OK, but no, it was kind of scary
- 12:14because I was like, I'm not ready to get baptized.
- 12:16Like, do you know, like if you get baptized like you, you, you
- 12:20said in the commitment to God and I, I really, you know,
- 12:23really I put it at this point in my life, I'm like, OK, I can't
- 12:26play no more games. So I was always like, no, no,
- 12:30I'm not ready. I'm not ready.
- 12:31But I think as I got more into the church and started learning
- 12:36more of his work, I was just like, OK, like, I can do this.
- 12:43And it's so funny because I was just scrolling through my e-mail
- 12:46and I got an e-mail from the church about like, you know,
- 12:50Sunday service and, and I never Scroll down.
- 12:54I just be like, whatever. But I'm scrolling through it
- 12:56all. And it was like, oh, Sunday
- 12:58baptisms on this day. OK.
- 13:01And I'm like, OK. How far out was that that you
- 13:04signed up for it? Maybe like a month in advance?
- 13:08OK, OK. Were you nervous that whole
- 13:10month or like how was? That the whole up until they
- 13:15dumped me into that water. I think you, I think you kind of
- 13:18hinted at it on your episode. I think you did.
- 13:22You said something. I was just like, oh, she's
- 13:24talking about. OK, Yeah.
- 13:25All right. Up until I when I say nervous,
- 13:28I'm like, Lord, I didn't even tell my family until Friday
- 13:33night that Friday before. So it was kind of like, I'm
- 13:37scared, like I was so scared to do it, but I just heard him tell
- 13:42me do it this day and I signed up and you know, the rest is
- 13:47history. History.
- 13:48You were officially what, 3 days in right now?
- 13:52The Holy St. The Holy Sarah St. for I.
- 13:56Feel like putting that look for? Halloween she was.
- 13:59I love the Saint. That's crazy.
- 14:01Yeah. See, it was, it was, it was
- 14:02happening. It had to happen.
- 14:03It was. Divine.
- 14:06It was divine. So for the people that don't
- 14:09know what is the process to get baptized besides just like
- 14:12signing up, because I'm pretty sure like some churches they
- 14:14have, you know, they, they are pretty in depth and serious
- 14:18about it where they like this is what you got to do and da, da,
- 14:21da, da. But what was your?
- 14:22What was your two processes? So for me, yeah, for me, my
- 14:27church, they are. They're not the type to just
- 14:30say, oh, OK, you want to get that time show up at 10:00 on
- 14:33Sunday. They did make me go through like
- 14:35a class just to understand what baptism is because I think
- 14:40people have this stigma where baptism is OK, you got to be
- 14:44perfect, you got to be this, you got to be that.
- 14:46So they did a class to ensure that I understood what I was
- 14:51doing and all of that and then of.
- 14:53Course prior to it, they did a refresher just to make sure my
- 14:57mind was still there and I was still OK with it.
- 15:00So that was my process. My process was totally
- 15:04different. Like, I literally just signed up
- 15:06and they sent e-mail communication.
- 15:10Come on, bring this. Bring that.
- 15:13Come as you are. Yeah.
- 15:16That's why I asked. They said what?
- 15:20What was y'all dress code? They just told us like, not to
- 15:23wear certain bottoms because, you know, once you get in the
- 15:26water and you get, yeah, everything is.
- 15:30Going to show. So they said wear modest shorts.
- 15:33I'm like, I don't even have modest shorts.
- 15:37I wore some gym pants. I'm like, look, nothing modest.
- 15:45Man, listen, alright, so now she actually kind of into that.
- 15:49The next part I wanted to ask was like, do you guys feel like
- 15:52there's a pressure added to you guys to be perfect after you get
- 15:56baptized? Of course, yeah, I when I first
- 16:01got baptized, I remember that same Sunday, a few people from
- 16:05the church was like, Oh yeah, we going to go hang out here.
- 16:08And I felt like, Dang, I can't go because I don't want nobody
- 16:12to be like, did you just get? Outside, Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 16:15Like, that's the common phrase. As soon as you get baptized,
- 16:18everybody's watching you. They want you to be Mormon.
- 16:21Everybody wants you to be Mormon.
- 16:22Put up in the house. Don't you even look at any type
- 16:25of scenes. And that's so unreal realistic.
- 16:28That's so unrealistic. And I get, I think I used to
- 16:32even look at people like that too.
- 16:34And that's why I was so scared. I.
- 16:36Have to, I have to. I ain't gonna lie.
- 16:37I ain't gonna. Lie, I was scared to, you know,
- 16:40do it. I think that's the beauty in it.
- 16:42It's like you don't have to be perfect.
- 16:44You don't have to have it all together to surrender.
- 16:48You know what I mean? To give your life, you know, to
- 16:50God. So it was it.
- 16:53That's, you know, I guess I'm not, I don't, I'm not thinking
- 16:57about it right now. Because I don't.
- 16:59Even do a lot anyways, like, OK, yeah, I host a podcast.
- 17:04Yeah, you know, all that is cool.
- 17:06But outside of that, I'm at home like 9 times out of 10.
- 17:10Like if I'm hosting, that's because I'm getting paid.
- 17:13So I look at it as work. Ain't nothing wrong with that.
- 17:15OK boss. Shit ain't mad it, man, OK
- 17:21'cause I ain't gonna lie. So I, I think I said on one
- 17:23episode, one time it OK, I understand when you get
- 17:28baptized, right? But it is kind of crazy to see
- 17:30someone get baptized and then like that same week they they
- 17:34down in shots. That's a little crazy.
- 17:37I ain't gonna lie. I might give it a little time
- 17:39'cause I was baptized early in my 20s, my personal choice.
- 17:45A lot of shit was going on. I was on some bullshit.
- 17:48You just. Have to.
- 17:50Give it to God. You have to give it to God.
- 17:52Facts. You wake up and you just like
- 17:53Lord. I don't know what I'm doing.
- 17:55Please help me. Yeah, man, you know, But I feel
- 18:00like as long as you still have that relationship with God, man,
- 18:03you know, people that chase perfection are usually the
- 18:06people that's imperfect, man. This is an imperfect world.
- 18:08You can't be perfect in this world at all.
- 18:11I don't. I don't even think it's it's
- 18:12possible. I don't think it's possible.
- 18:14Who's perfect? Who would you think is perfect
- 18:16in this world? But yeah, I mean, we, we always
- 18:28want to strive to be like the best versions of ourselves.
- 18:31So I think, you know, that alone adds pressure.
- 18:34So for me to be like, oh, people watching me, I, I, I honestly, I
- 18:39wouldn't give a damn could. They Yeah, I was just about to
- 18:41say that they've been watching. They've been watching.
- 18:43And I got to talk to you about that too, because listening to
- 18:46that episode, I got to apologize.
- 18:48I'm apologize off air, you know, OK, OK.
- 18:52No apologize on air. No, man, we'll put people on
- 18:56blast. I can apology I.
- 18:57Don't put people on blast, boy. OK, so let me see.
- 19:04Let me see. Diana lost my.
- 19:05OK. All right, So you think so?
- 19:09We already established it's not. It's not realistic to to say
- 19:12after you get baptized to, like, cold Turkey stop everything,
- 19:16like drinking, partying. I mean, these things, you got to
- 19:22probably dwindle them down. Yeah.
- 19:25You know, but do you think it's even realistic that cold Turkey
- 19:29stop everything after you get baptized?
- 19:32No. Did you try Nashika?
- 19:33I feel like you probably tried to do that.
- 19:36So for me, like I said, smoking weed, it was cold Turkey for me,
- 19:44but it wasn't right after I got baptized.
- 19:47It did take some time but didn't happen.
- 19:50It was cold Turkey, OK? But I it was a lot of praying
- 19:54and begging God to remove this addiction from my life.
- 19:58And then one day I realized, oh, shoot, it's been 14 hours.
- 20:02I did smoke weed and I was like, let's see how long I can go up
- 20:05until till to like till today. So, OK, yeah, it was cold
- 20:09Turkey. Oh, and steady low key.
- 20:11You know. Wrong.
- 20:12And I think people just don't challenge themselves enough,
- 20:14honestly. Like, why are you so dependent
- 20:18on this? Like, you know, like it's just.
- 20:20Yeah. OK.
- 20:21Challenge yourself some. People do that, right?
- 20:23But then do you guys 'cause I see both of y'all, you know, in
- 20:26your workout tip, do you feel like that kind of filled the
- 20:29space for certain? Like bad habits?
- 20:33No. Not for me, no.
- 20:35OK. Not for me, I've been working.
- 20:39For a very long time. So yeah, it it did.
- 20:42OK, OK, alright, not mad at that 'cause I ain't a lot.
- 20:46I like running. What not let me take that back.
- 20:49I don't like running, but if I have a lot on my brain, running
- 20:54is the best therapy for me 'cause like I'm thinking more
- 20:57about what's going on as opposed to the pain of running because I
- 21:00hate running, so I just push through.
- 21:03Shin's hurting, knee hurting. I just be like, yeah, I.
- 21:05Gotta try that because I hate running.
- 21:10But I run outdoors. I hate treadmills.
- 21:12I can't. Be heavy, I'm gonna go for a
- 21:14run. It might.
- 21:15I'm telling it's gonna help. Ain't on my it's gonna help for
- 21:17sure. It's.
- 21:20Well it's just hard bro, like you're.
- 21:22Not a runner either. Free.
- 21:25No, not really. I'll be trying but like, I went
- 21:28to the run club and yeah, I was stopping every.
- 21:33Have you ever done a run club Sarah?
- 21:37How do y'all feel about the run club?
- 21:38I got my own opinion about this. Year, it's not for me.
- 21:41I don't like all the people around me.
- 21:43Bro, it's it, it, it really gives like what's the little
- 21:48dating apps bro? Tinder in person because that's
- 21:52what *** be on out there, man. They ain't really trying to run.
- 21:55They be running, they be running, they be running.
- 21:57I don't like, I'm not, you know, like I'm not someone.
- 22:02So I don't sit there and try to be in everybody face right.
- 22:06I'll say how do people I know, blah, blah, blah, but I'm just
- 22:10I'm ready to go when I'm ready to go.
- 22:11You know what I mean? Like I, I did it, I came, I
- 22:14conquered, let me get home because I don't even I don't
- 22:17know y'all like I don't want to be around y'all people.
- 22:20It's too much. Are you one of the people that
- 22:21when you run and you'll do like the the camera thing?
- 22:25No. I hate them people.
- 22:29I'm not even trying to be in my phone I'm trying to get done.
- 22:31Feel me like, how do you have time to be like, hey guys, I'm
- 22:35running right now? Like what are we doing right
- 22:36now? You're not focused.
- 22:38I don't like that. Are they just showing off Like
- 22:41OK, who? Cares.
- 22:42OK, You got good cardio. OK alright.
- 22:46So we're gonna switch. We're gonna switch gears real
- 22:48quick. So both of you had children.
- 22:51Nash, 11, child, one daughter. Big big diva, big diva Energy on
- 22:56her. And then Sarah.
- 22:58Yeah, you have two children, right?
- 23:00Yes. And what are the ages for your
- 23:03child, Nashi? Is 9.
- 23:08She's nine. OK.
- 23:08And then, Sarah, what are the ages for your kids?
- 23:11I have a 16 year old and a 8 year old.
- 23:13OK. Alright so now if you guys want
- 23:17to answer this question, you don't, but how old were you guys
- 23:20when you first had your first child?
- 23:24I got pregnant my 21st birthday. Happy birthday Dane.
- 23:29Hey. I'm.
- 23:32Yeah, my 21st birthday. OK.
- 23:34Was that 20? No, I wasn't 22 yet.
- 23:36Yeah. OK, OK.
- 23:37So I was 21. Alright, and it's there.
- 23:40I was 18 when I had my child. OK.
- 23:43Were you still in high school or out of high school already?
- 23:44I was in high school. What high school you went to?
- 23:48Oak Ridge? OK, a word.
- 23:50Alright, now she went. What you went to.
- 23:52Hi, baby. Man, listen, I could have walked
- 23:55Evan. My mom did not let me go there.
- 23:56I went to Olympia, bro. I went to.
- 23:59Jones and then I went to a doctor Phillips but.
- 24:01No one moment not let me go there bro.
- 24:02It was. Just easier to go to Evan.
- 24:05OK, so for both of you, like whoever, whoever wants to answer
- 24:08this first, the first child was, was that a planned pregnancy or
- 24:12was it just like, let's figure it out?
- 24:15Is a less figured out. Nice.
- 24:18Mines was not planned at all. I actually took a Plan B.
- 24:23Failed like a. Six weeks later I was still
- 24:29pregnant. But I think that was my first
- 24:31time taking a Plan B, and I didn't know you had like a time
- 24:34limit. Oh, it's like the first 72
- 24:36hours. I'm not.
- 24:37Going to be doing this all week. Let me just wait to the end and
- 24:40then I'll take it. But.
- 24:42You know, you know, you only have two days.
- 24:45Yeah. After.
- 24:47After. So yeah, she wasn't planned at
- 24:49all. OK.
- 24:51Yeah, I was. I was 18.
- 24:53Well, I was 17. Being grown in high school,
- 24:58just, you know, getting all caught up.
- 25:01Getting all caught up What? Is the reaction because I
- 25:03remember I had like a girl hit me with a fake pregnancy text,
- 25:07right? And I was like probably 19 or 20
- 25:10and that motherfucker shook my world up as opposed to now being
- 25:14a grown ass adult. And my wife tells me she's
- 25:15pregnant. It's just like, you know, Joy,
- 25:18OK? Let's.
- 25:19Do it right. But what's the reaction of you
- 25:20guys though? Like when you when it hit you
- 25:22like oh shit I'm about to have a baby or whatever.
- 25:26It was depression. You laughing but you dead
- 25:30serious though. No, seriously, for me, because I
- 25:32was still in high school, I and you know, like this is my senior
- 25:36year supposed. To be lit, yeah.
- 25:39Yeah, mind you, me and him going, I got pregnant going into
- 25:43my 9th, my 12th grade year. So I'm like, oh, this is my 12th
- 25:48grade year. I'm about to live life.
- 25:49I'm going to go off to college. I'm, you know, think of all of
- 25:52this, Then I'm, I'm in summer school waiting for my cycle to
- 25:55come and they don't come. So I'm like, what the hell, What
- 25:58the hell is really going on? And we broke up too.
- 26:02We have broke up too. So it was kind of like great
- 26:05timing guy. So me being me being 18, I don't
- 26:10think I told my parents. I don't think they found out
- 26:13until I I was probably like three months pregnant because I
- 26:20I didn't even know what to do. One year I had someone saying
- 26:23get rid of it. Then I had someone else in my
- 26:25ear saying keep it, keep it. And it's just like, bro, I
- 26:29really don't. Not forgetting I love my child,
- 26:32but I'm 18. I got.
- 26:34Nothing to do with my baby right now.
- 26:36I. Want to know what 18?
- 26:37But when you look back you probably thought you was grown
- 26:39at that time. But looking back at what 18 and
- 26:4220s was, bro we were kids and I didn't.
- 26:45Even think, I didn't even think I was grown.
- 26:47I just thought I was grown enough to do what I was doing.
- 26:50You know that's. That's what it was, but it it
- 26:54was scary. It was scary as hell because you
- 26:58don't know the like, people don't know how hard it is to be
- 27:00a parent. And this is if you truly come,
- 27:04come, you know, like, invest in being a parent.
- 27:08It's not easy. It's not a walk in the park
- 27:11like. If you really care about being a
- 27:12parent, it's definitely not a easy thing at all.
- 27:16But you want to make sure you raise your children right.
- 27:18It's it's just something you, you have to care about.
- 27:21So it was kind of like, OK, well, now I know I got to work.
- 27:25Now I can't, I can't go without having money.
- 27:28I can't go without taking care of you.
- 27:30But again, it takes 2. And when you're young and
- 27:34navigating, trying to make it work because I'm Haitian, so you
- 27:37know, and I'm 18 at the time, so my parents are telling me.
- 27:40Don't do it. No.
- 27:41We gonna go to that though. I will cut you off real quick.
- 27:43I will get to that where I now she cookies.
- 27:46I want to know that. I already know that went crazy
- 27:48with the parents. Well, my, my story is similar
- 27:52that so we had a long distance situation.
- 27:54He was in North Carolina and I was in Florida.
- 27:57OK. And that morning he actually
- 28:00called me and was like, yeah, this ain't it.
- 28:03I like that. Cool.
- 28:03I respect it. Damn.
- 28:05That night. That time is crazy.
- 28:09Yeah, so I was like this, man, You gonna think that I'm just.
- 28:12I was just about to say that, yeah, he probably think he's
- 28:15trying to trap him or something. Yeah.
- 28:17Yeah, but, and I was not. So I took tests or whatever and
- 28:21I told him I was pregnant and he was like.
- 28:23What you going to do? So what you going to do?
- 28:25That sound like a big guy? I battled.
- 28:28With that, until it was too late.
- 28:30I literally went to try to get an abortion, but it was too
- 28:35late. They were like, yeah, you like
- 28:37after 30 mile weeks. We don't because that baby is.
- 28:41Full grown. Now it's full and grown I'm.
- 28:45Grateful for her. Yeah, shout out to them.
- 28:46Blessings, man. Yeah.
- 28:47OK. I got beautiful kids, man.
- 28:52OK, so now how was that OK? I don't know.
- 28:56Nashville. You at home at the time?
- 28:59No, I have my own place. You was like, OK, so it's a
- 29:01little different for you. OK, so that's more Sarah.
- 29:03How was that one? You can still answer it
- 29:05actually. You still got to tell your mom
- 29:06and your daddy, Sarah. How was that when when you
- 29:11finally told the rents? Bruh, Funny story.
- 29:15Yeah. Funny story, he actually told my
- 29:21parents because my sister, one of my sisters was like, you're
- 29:25not having this baby, you're not having this baby.
- 29:27So he was trying to tell my parents that we were trying to
- 29:30get an abortion. So what she ended up telling and
- 29:34they were like, no, you're not getting an abortion.
- 29:36Is he Americans bro? Is he American?
- 29:39He's Haitian. Well that's not like some
- 29:41American ass shit. And an Aquarius might have had.
- 29:44Just chill, just chill. Just chill.
- 29:46Just chill. Just chill, just chill.
- 29:49Just a north. Wait, wait, what month?
- 29:50February. Say February, Please say
- 29:52February. Yeah, See that don't count.
- 29:54That don't count. Shout out to the January that
- 29:56you All right, go ahead though. But yeah, so he ended up like,
- 30:03you know, telling them or whatever that I was thinking
- 30:06about getting an abortion and. From the.
- 30:10Whatever, like if you grown, you're going to be grown, you're
- 30:12going to take care of your baby. So I had to take care of my baby
- 30:15and then they were like, well, y'all grown, y'all going to make
- 30:18it work. Y'all going to stick together
- 30:20and raise that baby. And I'm like, bro, I'm in high
- 30:22school. Like what do y'all want from me?
- 30:24And then like we, we tried, but I think we were just, it was so
- 30:28toxic. It was just, it was just no, we
- 30:31you have to leave. So your parents were like calm
- 30:35about the situation. They were just like all.
- 30:37Right. I think, I think they were they
- 30:39weren't like enraged because one, my oldest sister had a baby
- 30:42at a young age. Who?
- 30:45Is the oldest. To it Farrah OK OK all right so
- 30:50she she had a baby when she was I think 17.
- 30:53So she had a baby in high school.
- 30:55And I think for me, you know, like I'm the baby.
- 30:59So it's kind of like I'm the last child.
- 31:03So they're like. Oh, y'all all grown now, you
- 31:06know, like our hands are our hands are free.
- 31:08We can we can live our lives again.
- 31:10So I think they had AAI mean, of course they were hurt because
- 31:14nobody want their kids to be, you know, having a baby in high
- 31:17school. But I think they were OK with it
- 31:20because they've been through it and.
- 31:22They love you at the end of the day.
- 31:24Exactly. OK.
- 31:26And then not so for you, but she was out the house.
- 31:28So how was that like when you had to tell your parents like,
- 31:30hey. About, you know, regardless, in
- 31:33the house, out the house, you know, Haitian parents.
- 31:35So I was scared. I made my sister.
- 31:37Call them on three-way, I said. Now she's pregnant.
- 31:40My mom was like, you know, Haitian, she said a little slick
- 31:43comment and that was into the conversation.
- 31:46What? Can they do?
- 31:46What can they? At that point, right, Yeah.
- 31:49I never told my dad I he just he.
- 31:52Just found out. Growing, you know.
- 31:59That was shit all day, but at the end of the day, I'm here,
- 32:03the baby here. What's up Grandma?
- 32:05What's up? Closest to your mom or your dad.
- 32:09My mom OK 'cause my dad is my stepdad.
- 32:13OK, OK. Oh shit.
- 32:14Damn. You don't deal with it. *** The
- 32:16fuck? My mom's easier, my dad is very
- 32:20churchy and old school. So.
- 32:22Married by the book. So yeah.
- 32:25But of course, you know once their grandkid is here, all
- 32:28that. Yeah, yeah, even with even with
- 32:31pets. What is it my mom used to say?
- 32:35Listen, I used to say, hey, I want a dog when I was a little
- 32:38kid. Now little little our little
- 32:41Yorkie comes to the house. Oh, Creed, Creed, come on, man,
- 32:43you have a dog. They so fake.
- 32:48They fake as fuck. Bro fake as fuck dog.
- 32:53Once we out of their hands they so fake.
- 32:55Sarah, how many siblings you got me?
- 32:58Yeah. A total of like, you know, mom
- 33:03and dad are outside. Oh, we got all that going on
- 33:07too. Yeah, Shout out, shout out to
- 33:08that just. My my my dad has 10 kids, my mom
- 33:11has 6. Oh, OK, big family.
- 33:15Oh my goodness. Huge.
- 33:16Love them now. Well, I don't.
- 33:18I don't know which ones I know. Then 'cause you have a designer
- 33:21you. Probably just know.
- 33:22You probably just know my my parents, like my mom and my
- 33:25dad's kids. OK, OK.
- 33:26It's six of us. OK, so shout out to the
- 33:28genetics. That's what I wanted to do.
- 33:30Shout out to the genetics for mommy and daddy because.
- 33:32Yeah. I got no ugly goddamn sip, bruh.
- 33:35Not one ugly motherfucker. Because my older brother.
- 33:38My older brother, ugly as shit. He ugly than a motherfucker.
- 33:43I ain't gonna hold you man. Man.
- 33:46Man shout out to him and my my niece and nephew.
- 33:48Thanks for bringing them into the world, you ugly ass *** Bro
- 33:51Yo. But now yo bro, thank.
- 33:53You babies. They're just yo, hey, listen,
- 33:55hey, I'm killing the game right now.
- 33:56I got 2, but I ain't going for the third Wifey be like, oh,
- 34:00babe, if we knew we was going to have a boy for the third one, I
- 34:02would try. I'm like you trying by your gut
- 34:05now, suckers. I ain't doing it.
- 34:06I'm done. There's two undone. 2 is too
- 34:09many, yeah. Listen, I didn't feel none of
- 34:13this fatigue and tiredness I feel right now on.
- 34:15This you got 2. What, Sarah, can you attest?
- 34:19I can attest and it's so crazy because my kids are 8 years
- 34:23apart but it's it was starting over at this age.
- 34:30Hey, listen, I mean, I did it older.
- 34:33I feel like I'm like, and this is one thing I want to talk
- 34:35about too, right? Do you guys feel like having the
- 34:39children a little younger? Do you feel like you could
- 34:42maneuver a lot better now? Yeah.
- 34:45'Cause I feel like this is low key the prime of our time, of
- 34:48our our my. Daughter can watch my son, I can
- 34:49get up and go whenever. It's nothing.
- 34:52I love that for me. That's beautiful.
- 34:54That's. Beautiful.
- 34:54Yeah, my daughter can make her own noodles.
- 34:57And girls, I'll tell you one thing about girls.
- 34:59Girls are way more independent than boys.
- 35:01My son is today. I really had to teach him how to
- 35:04make eggs. I'm like, you're 8 and you don't
- 35:05know how to make eggs. That's.
- 35:07Her deal? Well, my defense, my daughter's
- 35:09nine and she don't know how to make eggs.
- 35:11But Taylor. Was making Taylor was making me
- 35:13breakfast at. These boys, these boys are
- 35:17different because I was like 6-7 years old making soup for my mom
- 35:21with hey one of these old ass things I work with at my job
- 35:27bro. I said something, he was like
- 35:296-7. I said how the fuck you know
- 35:31this shit bro like a 45 year old Filipino bro.
- 35:35Bro and. She had me rolling dog, but now
- 35:39I was cooking early in the game with like the green onions and
- 35:41everything. So I don't know these these
- 35:43boys. That's why I'm team girls.
- 35:44Like I've been rooting for the women obviously, but I just see
- 35:49the difference. The girls are more independent.
- 35:51They smarter. They, I don't know, boys just be
- 35:55chaos. They be chaotic.
- 35:58They're they're busy, they're busy, but I would say they love
- 36:01you like they love their mommies down so.
- 36:04Yeah, that's why I'm I'm cool because I'm teen girls.
- 36:06I'm a boy, so. Exactly, so you know how it is
- 36:10when it comes to your mommy, you don't play about her.
- 36:12So like my son, he don't play about me and I don't play about
- 36:14him. So I I get it.
- 36:16But my daughter, you know, she she she'd be favoring her to her
- 36:19dad and you know, it's, it's cool.
- 36:22She's cool. She's tall to me too, huh?
- 36:26She Yeah, she's taller than me. I'm shorter.
- 36:27I'm about shorter than everybody than.
- 36:29You had. Listen, I was about to say, you
- 36:30had to think about that. Come on now, man.
- 36:33How tall are you, Sarah? I'm 51 and a.
- 36:36Half Well, you got to put the half where I so OK, what's one
- 36:51thing you guys think about from like when you are raising your
- 36:56children early on, right that when you were younger?
- 36:59What's one thing you look back and think and say, I wish I did
- 37:04this differently raising a child.
- 37:08OK, I would say I wish I would have not spoiled her so much.
- 37:15OK. Because it's just like now you,
- 37:17you think you deserve the world just for living.
- 37:19You know what I mean? Like, hold on.
- 37:22Fine line. Like come on, Like the way I had
- 37:26like, it's because we come from like hardship.
- 37:29Like I had six kids, my mom had six kids.
- 37:32So, you know, food scarce, you know, like a lot of stuff we
- 37:35have like, I ain't have a lot of, I ain't have no Jordans.
- 37:38I ain't have no. Can't get the retros man what
- 37:40I'm. Going to wait to get a job so I
- 37:43can buy my. Own stuff, Save.
- 37:46So it, you know, it's just, they're so dependent on us
- 37:49because I, I'm someone putting her in gymnastics, I'm putting
- 37:53her in this. I'm you're doing all these
- 37:55wonderful things that you get to do that I didn't even get to do.
- 37:58So it's kind of like, you know, you, you, they have a sense of
- 38:03entitlement like she does. I'm not going to say it, all of
- 38:05them. And so I'm like with my son, I
- 38:08just tread a little different with him, like I've learned and
- 38:11she'll be like, oh, you treat him better.
- 38:13And this is like, no, I don't. It's just I learned from you.
- 38:17Yeah. You were the test.
- 38:18Yeah, yeah. Facts.
- 38:22Hell yeah. OK, now how how you feel about
- 38:24that? What you got to say about that?
- 38:26I guess for me, my kid is still young, so one thing I would So
- 38:34the question was, what is something that you've done that
- 38:36you wish you didn't do? Like something that you feel
- 38:39like you've done, you could have done differently.
- 38:46Putting her on to fruits and vegetables early and it's so
- 38:52critical. My daughter is 9 and I struggle
- 38:55with that, but that's important. I'm 30 and I'm just getting to
- 39:00that point so. Wait for yourself or for her.
- 39:04For me, eating veggies. Yeah, now I eat veggies, I eat
- 39:08all that stuff, free vegetables. But for a long time I was
- 39:12picking out my food. I now you can give me food and
- 39:16I'll probably eat 90% of everything on my plate, but I
- 39:19would say that so any. Parent out there.
- 39:22Is so critical put them on early because my daughter will not eat
- 39:28anything. Yeah, that's that is true.
- 39:30That is true. And cooking more like I wish I
- 39:32would have cooked for my daughter.
- 39:34You was doing the McDonald's runs.
- 39:36McDonald's run and then like that.
- 39:37Easy stuff too, like the stove top Velveeta like you.
- 39:41Know like like come on, I. Ain't gonna lie though bro, it
- 39:46was 1 morning I woke up because I usually wake up early when
- 39:49when the family was here in Canada I usually wake up before
- 39:51everybody. So I'm like, you know what I'm
- 39:53I'm good spirits. Let me wake up and make these
- 39:56little tiny pancakes and eggs for my daughter.
- 39:59Took my time made eat a little small.
- 40:00That *** looked at that shit and was like, I'm straight.
- 40:04She's such a picky eater, bro. Like if, if the chicken has
- 40:07sauce on it, she's mad. She's not trying to eat it like
- 40:11the girl. She's such a bland eater, bro.
- 40:13I don't I don't understand it. It's.
- 40:14Crazy as long as she's eating. Bro, you feel me?
- 40:17That's. Like that's a struggle at that
- 40:19age. Too, Because my son is a saucy
- 40:21eater. Like he'll get Chick-fil-A sauce
- 40:24and put it on cinnamon. He he just wants some sauce.
- 40:28I don't even go together. Very different, very different.
- 40:31Like Pedia, Shore is keeping our daughter alive because.
- 40:34Hello, as long as you eat baby, I'm good.
- 40:36God, someday she gonna eat this. You be like, okay, she likes it,
- 40:39let me get it tomorrow. Nah, Nah.
- 40:42Wasting food, wasting money. Like, you eat that?
- 40:45Yeah. She's like, Oh yeah, I don't eat
- 40:46that no more. Yeah, they love to not eat stuff
- 40:49'cause I just. Bought lunch because I'm like,
- 40:51OK, I found something she likes. Yeah.
- 40:53Oh yeah, that no more. Yeah, they taste buds change,
- 40:56but never for the good. I got a curveball for y'all.
- 40:59So being OK, would would y'all consider when?
- 41:03When, when the kids were born? Would you consider yourself
- 41:05single mothers? At the time?
- 41:07Yeah. OK.
- 41:08So how was it like? No trying to.
- 41:12You said no. No.
- 41:14You were with your. I was.
- 41:15I wasn't a single mother. You were with your baby's
- 41:17father. OK.
- 41:19So at what point? How how old was your daughter
- 41:22when you guys, like, were like, yeah, I'm not, I'm not trying to
- 41:24fuck with you. No.
- 41:25More she was 3. Three OK, still young.
- 41:27OK, so this question still goes to you.
- 41:30How was it trying to navigate dating while having a child
- 41:33honestly. I thought it wasn't hard.
- 41:39Yeah, it wasn't hard. No, I never like they never met
- 41:45my daughter or anything. You know, I feel like it's
- 41:48recently, like right now she's met the one person, but.
- 41:52The one from the podcast. Yeah.
- 41:56Shout out to him. Shout out to him.
- 41:58OK, He lasted. OK then.
- 42:00Yeah, going strong. But yeah, that's the only
- 42:03person. But it wasn't hard.
- 42:06I have my own place, so whenever I needed to hang out with
- 42:09somebody, she's going to my Mama house.
- 42:11OK, OK. So it wasn't, it really wasn't
- 42:13hard, OK. I feel like men don't care these
- 42:16days. They're going to still pull up.
- 42:18They're going to still do what they.
- 42:18Got to do if you bad enough. Oh yeah, I love kids.
- 42:21I don't care about that. I.
- 42:23Love kids eating the kids snacks and all of that.
- 42:26Yeah. So no, it really wasn't hard.
- 42:29I feel like people make it seem like it's hard.
- 42:32It's not hard to find. They be like, Oh yeah, if you
- 42:35got multiple kids, you ain't going to find nobody.
- 42:36Yeah, I see people with four kids meeting people and you
- 42:41know. Love their dirty draws.
- 42:43Yeah, it's it's not hard the way society makes it soon.
- 42:47Like they shun, they shun single moms and it it shouldn't be like
- 42:50that like, but like Josh, you said, I don't think it's hard at
- 42:52all. Like especially when you have a
- 42:54village that can watch your children most important.
- 42:59Part it's. You know, it's whatever.
- 43:01Navigate OK, I'm gonna end it with this, 'cause you have said
- 43:05something on your podcast, Sarah, what I said you had said
- 43:13so when when you had your second child, right?
- 43:17And then you you were engaged. You got proposed to like what?
- 43:22What about the the engagement made you feel like it was
- 43:25because of the child 'cause that's what I wanted to touch on
- 43:28real quick. And then we gonna let y'all go
- 43:31on about your lives tonight. OK, so I feel like like I do
- 43:36feel like he, he loved me, right?
- 43:39But I felt like because of his own situation where he had his
- 43:46first child and it was all a mess to say the least.
- 43:53This this. Is the person I know right?
- 43:56Yeah, I don't even know you're. The most kid.
- 43:59OK, well don't work. Go ahead and continue.
- 44:03You know, you know, he, he had another child, but it was like
- 44:07the situation was he was messing with a girl, she had a man.
- 44:12And so he really didn't know who, who could have been the
- 44:15father, right? And essentially it was his.
- 44:21But the other person signed a certificate.
- 44:23So technically he liked the daddy, right?
- 44:24Because when she signed that birth certificate, that's your
- 44:27child, unfortunately, right? You got to establish fraternity
- 44:32and all that. It's, it's a, it's a lot because
- 44:34I, you know, I was, I witnessed it, right, Right, right.
- 44:36But that part, my ex would always be like, oh, and that's
- 44:40how God is so humbling because he'll usually be like, Oh, my
- 44:43first child is going to come from my wife.
- 44:45And you know, and it so happened that his first child didn't come
- 44:49from his wife. So I think him getting me
- 44:52pregnant, you know, and you know, my phone was planned.
- 44:56I didn't want him. I did want a child at the time.
- 44:59So I think he just had to, you know, make sure he did it right
- 45:05this time. I always say that you didn't do
- 45:08it right. There's no right way.
- 45:09I always say right, yeah, cuz people be like cuz I had went on
- 45:12a podcast when I was in Orlando and they was like, yeah man,
- 45:15I'll come in. You did the right way.
- 45:16I'm like I hate hearing that cuz I'm like there's no right way in
- 45:19this bro like. If you wanted to work.
- 45:21As well. Exactly cuz like people can get
- 45:24married and like they living on two sides of the house.
- 45:26Like we know that in the Haitian community people do that all the
- 45:28time with their parents, but there's no right way.
- 45:30As long as you know kids happy, they healthy.
- 45:33Fuck it, that's the right way. Yeah, and I think if you, The
- 45:36thing is when a marriage, I feel like you guys should be on the
- 45:39same page 100%. And that's essentially why the,
- 45:44you know, the marriage never happened because we weren't on
- 45:46the same page. Because you know, deep down the
- 45:48side that what you did was just for the for the people.
- 45:54It was for the audience. It wasn't for but you.
- 45:58It wasn't for marriage because if it was for marriage, we would
- 46:01have been married. Right, right, all right, all
- 46:04right, all right. That's what I'm gonna apologize
- 46:09about anyway. OK, man, this was actually very
- 46:13informative. It was short, but it was
- 46:15informative. I had fun for sure man.
- 46:18I appreciate y'all man. So, you know, this is the time
- 46:21we on my podcast, we we give the the guest the time to plug what
