3:22
SPEAKER_03: Let's talk about it.
3:25
SPEAKER_03: Hope everybody enjoyed their Tuesday, Taco Tuesday.
3:30
SPEAKER_03: Oh man, we had some.
3:32
SPEAKER_03: Well, first, let me tell you today, we're talking about Carmelo Anthony, a little Diddy update.
3:39
SPEAKER_03: Uh uh, and uh a couple little random stories that I ran across.
3:47
SPEAKER_03: We might go over if we have some time.
3:51
SPEAKER_03: But how was everybody's taco Tuesday?
3:58
SPEAKER_03: Uh, we had some place called Tawana, Tawana something.
4:07
SPEAKER_03: We had some place called Tawana something.
4:10
SPEAKER_03: I'm not sure.
4:13
SPEAKER_03: Tawana something is like a Mexican place.
4:16
SPEAKER_03: They got some of the best Mexican food and tacos and margaritas, and you gotta try.
4:25
SPEAKER_03: Just look it up.
4:25
SPEAKER_03: It's Tawana something.
4:27
SPEAKER_03: They got street tacos, they got quesadillas, they got all types of shit.
4:34
SPEAKER_03: But the uh food is fresh.
4:37
SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna give it five stars.
4:39
SPEAKER_03: I don't know if it's just in Cleveland or they got those other places, but you need to try it.
4:48
SPEAKER_03: So let's talk.
4:50
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we definitely gonna talk about it.
4:51
SPEAKER_03: Enoch says, I'm furious about the Carmelo case.
4:56
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I hate it.
4:59
SPEAKER_03: We our our kids just don't have a fucking chance, a snowball chance in hell, if we can't do no better than that.
5:08
SPEAKER_03: Nah, we're gonna definitely talk about that Carmelo case.
5:12
SPEAKER_03: It is like a lightning rod now.
5:14
SPEAKER_03: It's got people, some people who are for the verdict going crazy, people who aren't for the verdict going crazy, and they all on my page and in my comments talking shit and fighting amongst each other like it's just crazy.
5:30
SPEAKER_03: Carmelo Anthony never had a chance.
5:34
SPEAKER_03: Nice point, Elisa.
5:35
SPEAKER_03: That's what I was about, that's what I was leading into.
5:40
SPEAKER_02: He never had a chance, and there's a lot of reasons.
5:47
SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna save them for the meat of the show, but definitely it was a case that I covered, and then it took so long, and the trial came out of nowhere.
5:58
SPEAKER_03: I was I was upset I didn't I didn't really cover it because I was trying to keep up with all the cases I have been um following.
6:07
SPEAKER_03: Um I I I I was I I I covered it when it first happened, which was damn near what two years ago.
6:16
SPEAKER_03: And so I kind of the trial snuck up on me and I didn't even know that the trial had started.
6:23
SPEAKER_03: I hate catching things in the middle or being behind.
6:27
SPEAKER_03: So I kind of just didn't get didn't really cover it.
6:31
SPEAKER_03: I I really feel bad that I wish I would have covered it and and did more exposing and because there's a lot of shit going on.
6:40
SPEAKER_03: And then come to find out uh we got conflict of interest, uh accusations between uh uh this the government and the family of the victim.
6:55
SPEAKER_03: It's just it's a lot to unpack.
6:58
SPEAKER_03: It's a lot to unpack.
7:01
SPEAKER_02: It's a lot to unpack.
7:03
SPEAKER_02: Uh think about it.
7:16
SPEAKER_03: Over the years, we've all had to get used to and and and and and try to understand this this thing they call stand your ground law.
7:35
SPEAKER_03: We have watched many victims be unalived in scenarios that we didn't think they should be underived in.
7:56
SPEAKER_03: And we've watched killers, known killers.
8:07
SPEAKER_02: We watched them be found innocent numerous times.
8:22
SPEAKER_03: As a result of this, stand your ground laws they have in certain states.
8:28
SPEAKER_03: Stand your ground.
8:29
SPEAKER_03: Basically, if you are in danger, you can you can use as much force as you need, even if it kills the person, and it's all good.
8:40
SPEAKER_03: Ohio, the state I live in, in the past year, few years, I don't know how long enough, a few years back, uh, we became stand your ground.
8:55
SPEAKER_03: So many times we were all heartbroken.
9:01
SPEAKER_03: Well, what we talk about, the Trayvon Martin case.
9:05
SPEAKER_03: Uh George Zimmerman unalived that guy, unalived that boy after he followed him.
9:15
SPEAKER_03: George Zimmerman followed Trayvon Martin around, hunted that man down.
9:26
SPEAKER_03: Trayvon Martin didn't do anything to George Zimmerman.
9:33
SPEAKER_03: And a scuffle happens at some point.
9:37
SPEAKER_03: George Zimmerman shoots the boy, unalives him in a case that everybody thought he would be innocent.
9:51
SPEAKER_03: I mean, guilty, I'm sorry.
9:54
SPEAKER_02: We thought that was a slam dunk.
10:01
SPEAKER_02: And the only thing got slammed was us.
10:07
SPEAKER_03: Because the jury came out and said, not guilty, stand your ground, self-defense, whatever you want to call it.
10:17
SPEAKER_03: And there was plenty of tears shed when that happened.
10:23
SPEAKER_03: Plenty of tears shed when that happened, and plenty of the family was, you know, sad and crying, the public was sad and crying.
10:38
SPEAKER_03: And we was forced to deal with it, deal with the reality that this young black male who was just walking home from from the store, bought him some Skittles in Arizona, I believe.
10:56
SPEAKER_03: And he's walking back home and he's got this maniac following him.
11:01
SPEAKER_03: He's nervous.
11:05
SPEAKER_03: And the maniac kills him and is found not guilty.
11:15
SPEAKER_03: It was a painful verdict.
11:16
SPEAKER_03: I remember that was the that was the first case that I really dug up and dug up and found a lot of details with before I was even covering cases, before I was doing content and journalism.
11:30
SPEAKER_03: That was a case that I just covered for hub, for a fun, for hobby, because I'm into cases like that.
11:41
SPEAKER_03: So I'm talking about all that.
11:48
SPEAKER_03: Texas is a standard ground state.
11:57
SPEAKER_03: And as I go into the details, I want you to remember that.
12:05
SPEAKER_03: So let's piece this together.
12:09
SPEAKER_03: The date is as it pertains to this Carmelo Anthony case.
12:15
SPEAKER_03: Carmelo Anthony, who we all know is the uh young man who was just found guilty of murder and sentenced to 35 years in prison uh with the chance of parole after 17 and a half years.
12:39
SPEAKER_03: And I wanted y'all take on this, and I'm gonna give you my take.
12:42
SPEAKER_03: But let's let's let's let's review what we know and don't know.
12:50
SPEAKER_03: April 2nd.
12:52
SPEAKER_03: We are in April 2nd, 2025.
13:00
SPEAKER_02: The location is Frisco, Texas.
13:05
SPEAKER_02: We're at a Frisco, Texas track meet.
13:10
SPEAKER_02: At this Frisco, Texas track meet, it started to rain.
13:19
SPEAKER_03: So because of the rain, athletes were under team tents.
13:26
SPEAKER_03: Different teams had different tents.
13:30
SPEAKER_03: Austin Metcalf was under the Memorial High School tent.
13:40
SPEAKER_03: Carmelo Anthony, who's from Centennial High School, was went also under the Memorial High School tent where Austin Metcalf was.
13:55
SPEAKER_02: Now the pri according to prosecutors, they didn't know each other.
14:02
SPEAKER_02: Now there is no rule saying who can be under what tent.
14:44
SPEAKER_03: This is not a situation where police are gonna be, I mean the students are gonna be or should be policing themselves.
14:51
SPEAKER_03: And I tell you that because we get into the next point.
14:54
SPEAKER_03: Austin andor others allegedly told Carmelo he needed to leave because it was Memorial's team tent.
15:07
SPEAKER_03: It's the first thing that where the first mistake was made, or or or just this was the first thing that's that led to where we at today.
15:19
SPEAKER_03: It's raining, it's tense.
15:24
SPEAKER_03: We don't need to be telling nobody where the fuck they need to be or where they need to go to get out the rain.
15:31
SPEAKER_03: If it's raining and we under the and we at an event and we got a tent, we got a flow show, no filter tent, and we at an event, and it's raining, even though I don't like fucking TMZ.
15:48
SPEAKER_03: If somebody works for TMZ and they want to come get under the tent because it's raining, I'm not gonna tell them they can't be under the tent.
15:59
SPEAKER_03: So right there, we already out of bounds.
16:10
SPEAKER_03: I repeat, there's no rule about where tent somebody can be under.
16:19
SPEAKER_03: And I want to reiterate, if there was a rule or if there was a sentiment about who could be under what tent in what school, it is the job of faculty members pay help at the track meet, principals, teachers, and people of that nature.
16:44
SPEAKER_03: It is their job to do that.
16:47
SPEAKER_03: As you can see, when we have students policing themselves, we don't do anything but just fail them.
16:55
SPEAKER_03: When adults don't do their job, kids suffer.
17:03
SPEAKER_03: So they say, Austin and others.
17:06
SPEAKER_03: Now, another thing, Austin and others allegedly told Carmelo he needed to leave because it was Memorial Sense.
17:15
SPEAKER_03: Now, if I'm there by myself in somebody's tent, now you've already said, you already see that it says Austin and others, which means there are multiple people, multiple people addressing Carmelo Anthony.
17:47
SPEAKER_03: Now, we all know kids.
17:48
SPEAKER_03: We had a track meet, we not even in school.
17:51
SPEAKER_03: We had we we we we we we know the kids ain't over there.
17:56
SPEAKER_03: Hey sir, could you please leave?
17:58
SPEAKER_03: And one like imagine you got all these people, and you can imagine the way it would the message was even being conveyed.
18:12
SPEAKER_03: We just know how we've all been kids, high school kids, and it's a whole school, they have a tent, and this black boy is up under the tent, getting out of the rain, and now we said not just Austin, but we got all types of people trying to tell him he got he has to leave.
18:35
SPEAKER_03: Now, witnesses who to be honest with y'all, some of the witnesses to me, I would I wouldn't trust them, but let's let's just go with the witnesses.
18:45
SPEAKER_03: Said Carmelo stayed opened or reached into his bag and allegedly said something like, Touch me and see what happens.
18:56
SPEAKER_03: Now, this is where we're getting we got multiple stories.
19:03
SPEAKER_03: Some witnesses have different accounts on the physical altercation.
19:10
SPEAKER_03: Witnesses differ slightly on the physical contact.
19:13
SPEAKER_03: Some said Austin pushed Carmelo, some said it was a small shove or a touch, not something meant to seriously hurt him.
19:32
SPEAKER_03: Then another witness said, Austin said, I'm not going to fight you at a track meet.
19:38
SPEAKER_03: Now, we know pretty much there were hands, there were hands put on this guy at some point, and this is what I'm saying.
19:49
SPEAKER_03: I've always preached on this show.
19:54
SPEAKER_03: I've always preached on my other platforms.
19:58
SPEAKER_03: Something I strongly believe.
20:03
SPEAKER_03: Everybody, man, woman, black, white, old, young, wherever, whoever, whatever.
20:18
SPEAKER_03: Keep your motherfucking hands to yourself.
20:26
SPEAKER_03: When you start volunteering, putting your hands on people, you open up doors that need to stay closed.
20:37
SPEAKER_03: That goes for me, you, the people in the chat, the people watching this video, the people listening to this on audio.
20:48
SPEAKER_03: It's a very simple rule that we were raised up on.
20:54
SPEAKER_03: The last thing you want to do is put your hands on somebody unless they put their hands on you or you're in danger.
21:04
SPEAKER_03: But somebody's under a tent, it's raining, and somebody's under your school tent, there's no reason to put your hands on nobody.
21:18
SPEAKER_03: You you you you you you you opening the door, you opening the door to all types of outcomes, as we see when you put your hands on people.
21:34
SPEAKER_03: So whether it was a punch, a push, a grab, you gotta remember, he is in a tent where it's a whole school, he don't know nobody or whatever.
21:50
SPEAKER_03: So just be one grab, if it's just me and C Tuck by ourselves.
22:00
SPEAKER_03: C.
22:00
SPEAKER_03: Tuck grabbed me.
22:01
SPEAKER_03: That's one thing.
22:02
SPEAKER_03: But you grab me, and it's and you got your whole school behind you and everybody harassing me.
22:10
SPEAKER_03: That's chaos.
22:11
SPEAKER_03: That's a dangerous situation.
22:14
SPEAKER_03: We gotta call it what it is.
22:16
SPEAKER_03: Other than that, what is stand your ground?
22:19
SPEAKER_03: That's why we when we cried about stand your ground before us as a community understood it as we watch black person after black person get killed.
22:31
SPEAKER_03: And then they telling us, oh no, it's it's no, that's good.
22:36
SPEAKER_03: Uh not guilty, you know, stand your ground.
22:38
SPEAKER_03: They were they they feared for their life or they were in fear, and so this is what you can do.
22:45
SPEAKER_03: But then in this case, all of a sudden, all of that it's a total, it ain't even it ain't even stand your ground.
22:53
SPEAKER_03: What would it stand your ground?
22:55
SPEAKER_01: And he was outnumbered at that.
22:57
SPEAKER_03: And he was outnumbered, severely outnumbered.
23:02
SPEAKER_01: Like it's crazy.
23:03
SPEAKER_01: But then just like you said, it put like like I was even talking about it yesterday.
23:08
SPEAKER_01: I'm like, you're my you gotta realize the it's it's always a pattern.
23:12
SPEAKER_01: What's the name?
23:13
SPEAKER_01: Like midterms coming up.
23:16
SPEAKER_01: So every time it's something dealing with the election, it's always something just think all the way back, back to 2012.
23:23
SPEAKER_01: You got Trayvon Martin, then you got Tamir.
23:26
SPEAKER_01: Then you fast forward a couple years later.
23:29
SPEAKER_01: It's like the time you got Castillo, and then Sandra Bland.
23:33
SPEAKER_01: Fast forward a little bit later.
23:36
SPEAKER_01: You got Dan, you got Dan Brianna Taylor and George Floyd.
23:39
SPEAKER_01: Fast forward.
23:40
SPEAKER_01: Now you got this.
23:42
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
23:44
SPEAKER_03: Like clockwork.
23:45
SPEAKER_01: It's like it's it's always something like to incite, try to incite some type of race riot or something like that.
23:53
SPEAKER_01: Or like make it uneasy for for the population so they can do whatever fuck shit that they got planned to do.
24:01
SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
24:02
SPEAKER_01: Not to mention the division that it causes.
24:04
SPEAKER_01: You feel me?
24:05
SPEAKER_01: That's it, like just just real, like realistically, regardless if it'll take memorial tent, all that shit out of it.
24:14
SPEAKER_01: If I'm in a motherfucker walking down the damn street, and this motherfucker says, Oh no, you can't walk on, get it off this part of the sidewalk.
24:22
SPEAKER_01: What?
24:22
SPEAKER_01: That's just a public sidewalk.
24:24
SPEAKER_01: Then it's one of me and multiple of y'all, and all of y'all walking up on me.
24:28
SPEAKER_01: I don't know, and y'all aggressive.
24:30
SPEAKER_01: I don't know what's about what's about to do it.
24:32
SPEAKER_01: Like, come on now.
24:33
SPEAKER_01: Then you gotta think of where you at.
24:35
SPEAKER_01: I'm a black dude in Texas.
24:37
SPEAKER_01: Right.
24:37
SPEAKER_01: Bunch of like, come on.
24:39
SPEAKER_03: Bunch of white people.
24:39
SPEAKER_03: Let's just be honest.
24:40
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and then how the fuck he got he getting convicted by a jury or his peers and he got an all-white jury.
24:47
SPEAKER_03: All white jury.
24:51
SPEAKER_03: No uh no history of violence.
24:54
SPEAKER_01: Come on now.
24:56
SPEAKER_03: Uh uh three, what is he, 3.5 GPA student, star athlete with no history.
25:03
SPEAKER_01: Come on now.
25:08
SPEAKER_01: Like, and so like then even like on the like even like even by them being like at a competition or something, I I could even I get that part.
25:19
SPEAKER_01: Like, you didn't have to be uber aggressive, but like I get that part because I'm if I'm hooping or if I'm playing, you don't see if we playing the steelers, you don't got no stealer motherfuckers sitting on our bench.
25:31
SPEAKER_01: Right.
25:32
SPEAKER_01: Regardless what the how bad is snowing or nothing, none of them motherfuckers sitting on the bench.
25:37
SPEAKER_01: If we going to get if we the calves and we going against whoever we're going against, ain't nobody sitting on our bench but gavs players.
25:43
SPEAKER_01: Right, right.
25:43
SPEAKER_01: So in in that case, I get that.
25:46
SPEAKER_01: But the the uber aggressiveness, like like you said, like y'all, y'all kids stay in y'all's place.
25:51
SPEAKER_01: If this if he wasn't removing this, if you didn't want to be humane and let this human being get shelter in the rain, then go get your get your superiors and let them know that hey, he he in our team, he what he doing here, and get him bounced out.
26:08
SPEAKER_03: Right, right, right, right, right, right.
26:10
SPEAKER_03: Get it, get his ass bounced out, call somebody, call the faculty member, and see when you made all these mistakes, and and and and and and they say that on top of everything, the knife that he had was not illegal, like it was a small, it was like shorter than four inches.
26:30
SPEAKER_03: Like it was like some little boy scout type thing he had.
26:34
SPEAKER_03: Like it wasn't like it was because I think they said like you could carry something as long as it's less than three inches or something, like something like that.
26:42
SPEAKER_03: But through the courts or through the the legal rum mumble jumbo, they said that it wasn't even the knife, like that, like it wasn't like he had some illegal weapon or something that was, you know.
26:55
SPEAKER_03: So so even that he had legal protection, like nothing that was like bigger than it was supposed to be or whatever.
27:02
SPEAKER_03: But when you got kids, like we said, policing themselves, I don't know where the adults at, but how can all these mistakes have been made in a stand your ground state?
27:15
SPEAKER_03: Like, how the fuck?
27:16
SPEAKER_03: What is stand your ground then?
27:18
SPEAKER_03: Because when Trayvon Martin got hunted and killed, y'all told us stand up, stand your ground.
27:27
SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
27:29
SPEAKER_03: And this was one-on-one.
27:32
SPEAKER_03: Another person who followed and he was he was the initiator, yeah.
27:38
SPEAKER_03: He was the initiator, and this is one-on-one, and and he was a grown-ass man for a kid, so but he was still standing his ground, yeah.
27:51
SPEAKER_01: He and a minor, he should have been got just because by him being in an adult and not being in a minor, exactly, but they did, but it still stands your ground for that.
28:03
SPEAKER_01: But as soon as he tried to stand his ground, y'all want to get him 30 years.
28:07
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, somebody who don't have a history, somebody who he didn't say he didn't even initiate the conversation, he didn't even initiate the interaction with Austin.
28:19
SPEAKER_03: He didn't go in the tent, hey man, fuck you.
28:22
SPEAKER_03: Type he could in the tent chilling, yeah.
28:25
SPEAKER_01: Austin and them come fucking with him, and he and his and he gets life, and then in the way that it sounded, it sounded like one of them situations where you just walking, and then it's like that little flash rainstorm where the rain just comes out of nowhere, yeah.
28:43
SPEAKER_01: Oh shoot, oh shoot, he ran to the closest tent that he seen.
28:46
SPEAKER_03: Right now, what if Austin would have gone to a faculty member or something like that?
28:54
SPEAKER_03: We would have a totally different outcome, however, it went, it wouldn't have been involved in nobody getting killed, and like I said, it's sad nobody should lose their life.
29:03
SPEAKER_03: So rest at all.
29:05
SPEAKER_03: So this ain't this ain't even about him.
29:08
SPEAKER_03: This is really about the the law and about where the fuck was the adults at anyway.
29:15
SPEAKER_03: You know what I'm saying?
29:16
SPEAKER_03: Where you got these going on in these tents.
29:20
SPEAKER_03: If like, where are y'all at?
29:22
SPEAKER_03: You know what I'm saying?
29:23
SPEAKER_01: Where was the adult supervision?
29:25
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, where is the supervision?
29:26
SPEAKER_03: It's a track meet.
29:27
SPEAKER_03: So, and if it's raining, that to me, the fact that they were under like it was raining, so they had to they were under tents, that to me makes it even more like okay, so y'all, all y'all faculty members and and the and the security and the teachers and all that, y'all ain't in the rain.
29:46
SPEAKER_03: So, y'all, where the fuck are y'all at?
29:49
SPEAKER_03: Y'all supposed to be under these tents supervising these kids.
29:54
SPEAKER_03: I mean, shit, I know that you got rain, and you got different team tents and and and people in close quarters, and you don't have no adults around.
30:05
SPEAKER_03: That that's what I'm saying.
30:07
SPEAKER_03: So the the adults fail both of these kids because now we Carmelo life is ruined, and Metcalf life is over with two two lives that are just destroyed because an adult, because no, there were no adults in the room or no adults around.
30:30
SPEAKER_03: I don't know where the fuck was they at if it's raining and and I know y'all not standing in the rain.
30:35
SPEAKER_03: Where are y'all when all this shit going on?
30:37
SPEAKER_03: That that was my case, my my question from the beginning.
30:41
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Enoch said that he knew one of the guys in the tent, that's why he uh went in there, and then the guy went on the stand trying to say that he didn't know him, and the defense showed like pictures of them at parties and everything like that.
30:56
SPEAKER_01: Wow.
30:57
SPEAKER_01: So what they so I wonder what they're gonna do with for the boy with him lying on fucking stand, right?
31:04
SPEAKER_03: And that's another thing.
31:05
SPEAKER_03: All the what were these witnesses just told lie by okay?
31:11
SPEAKER_03: Then that goes back to everybody know that they done found out that the judge and is cool with the the the the victim's uh father.
31:19
SPEAKER_03: You saw that right?
31:20
SPEAKER_01: So that's no, I didn't even see that.
31:22
SPEAKER_03: Oh yeah, uh damn.
31:25
SPEAKER_03: So yeah, they gotta put you, I gotta show you that.
31:28
SPEAKER_01: So since we don't since we dissecting that's conflict of interest.
31:38
SPEAKER_01: That's what everybody's saying.
31:41
SPEAKER_01: So he didn't, he didn't, he didn't get he didn't get a fair trial.
31:45
SPEAKER_03: He didn't get a fair trial at all.
31:46
SPEAKER_01: They should they should overturn it based off of that.
31:49
SPEAKER_03: And oh, let me bring this up, man.
31:52
SPEAKER_03: Let me bring this up.
31:53
SPEAKER_03: Speaking of fair trial and all that, um we need to look into who is this defense?
32:04
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, because I'm about to tell you something.
32:07
SPEAKER_03: When I when I uh there was early in my content, it was a case uh where I I I can't remember the names right now, but it was a case in Jackson, Mississippi.
32:20
SPEAKER_03: Uh was it Jackson?
32:22
SPEAKER_03: In Rankin County, where uh they had a big problem with the white racist police officers uh killing or harassing and and and and beating uh black uh black males, uh just like um police brutality type stuff.
32:41
SPEAKER_03: So there was a case where it was the one I'm I'm I can't believe I can't matter of fact, it should be on my Instagram.
32:48
SPEAKER_03: Um where one of the guys a guy was assaulted by the police, waterboarded, shoved, deal, doe up him, like the police get getting wild, just just torturing.
33:03
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
33:03
SPEAKER_03: It was the uh they called the goon squad.
33:05
SPEAKER_03: You don't remember that story?
33:06
SPEAKER_02: Well, yeah, yeah.
33:09
SPEAKER_03: So that's them.
33:10
SPEAKER_03: So I was trying to remember the name.
33:12
SPEAKER_03: Okay, here it is.
33:13
SPEAKER_03: This is the Damian Cameron.
33:16
SPEAKER_03: So Damian Cameron was damn near unalived.
33:20
SPEAKER_03: He was he he survived, but the police they they interrogated him and harassed him.
33:26
SPEAKER_03: It was reported over some women, white women, and the actual police actually shot him, tried to kill him.
33:34
SPEAKER_03: He but Damian Cameron survived.
33:36
SPEAKER_03: He had a hole in his throat.
33:38
SPEAKER_01: Damn.
33:39
SPEAKER_03: Now that story was under the radar.
33:44
SPEAKER_03: This was what probably the biggest the first big story that kind of helped propel me and started making my name is I took that story and I made it go viral, and so I put the cops and everything back on blast, and they everybody thought they had got away with it.
33:58
SPEAKER_03: I remember the the people who the family reached out to me and asked me, could I cover it?
34:04
SPEAKER_03: And I did, and I made it go viral, and they ended up being held accountable.
34:09
SPEAKER_03: But but this is the this is the part I need y'all to understand because this is some something I didn't even know.
34:15
SPEAKER_03: Now we went to that state and did a press conference, and I met with the family, and I got to get a little inside information and all of that.
34:26
SPEAKER_03: When they initially was trying to press charges on the family, Damian Cameron, for being uh uh brutalized by the cops for no reason, pretty much, they were given an attorney that they thought was recommended uh to help.
34:55
SPEAKER_03: Come to find out, y'all, the the attorney that was given to the family to help them get justice was a in was a was a was an insider who really was working for the other side.
35:11
SPEAKER_02: Damn.
35:13
SPEAKER_03: And and and and and and and I found that out.
35:17
SPEAKER_03: If I if I didn't go there, meet the family, get to talk to all kinds of people, I would have never knew that.
35:21
SPEAKER_03: That type of shit don't really just come out, or even if you do, it don't it didn't spread.
35:27
SPEAKER_03: But that happens all the time, and we never like I would have never known that if I didn't cover this case and get into the trenches, and so what I'm saying is this defense was so terrible, they don't first of all they only defended them for a few hours, and that that was already tragic, but they just the whole the way they presented the case was terrible, and I'm wondering since this whole thing feels like a fix, did they slip did they slip this attorney in on this family, man?
36:12
SPEAKER_03: Because it happened.
36:16
SPEAKER_01: What he had a public defender?
36:18
SPEAKER_03: I don't know if it was a public because this one wasn't a public defender, Damien Cameron.
36:23
SPEAKER_03: So it's like this, because I don't know.
36:26
SPEAKER_03: So they just go on going based off of like even if it is they because what they do is this most time these families don't know nothing about you see, he didn't have no kid.
36:36
SPEAKER_03: This family don't know nothing about fighting no murder case.
36:39
SPEAKER_03: You know what I'm saying?
36:40
SPEAKER_03: So what they do is they take a family, and it's almost like some infiltration, not some uh undercover type shit.
36:51
SPEAKER_03: They'll send multiple lawyers, uh, referrals to the family of their people, but you don't know it's their people, and then offer them a deal, or or almost even say they're gonna do it for free.
37:09
SPEAKER_03: So if you're trying to fight for your son, and you got all these different people giving you recommendations, and some of them is these people was connected to the court that did this with Damian Cameron, so it looked real like you would fall for it.
37:23
SPEAKER_03: You know what I'm saying?
37:24
SPEAKER_03: You think, oh, okay, uh, oh, this they helping me out, you know what I'm saying?
37:29
SPEAKER_03: And they didn't got me this good lawyer who got good reviews or good, you know, all of that.
37:35
SPEAKER_03: And then the lawyer either offered to do it for free or a good discount.
37:41
SPEAKER_03: So you're looking at like, damn, I can get this good lawyer at a discounted rate, at a discounted rate, almost free, maybe free.
37:50
SPEAKER_03: Now I got this the best chance for my son.
37:52
SPEAKER_03: Because anybody I know or or I don't know where to get no murder, no good lawyer to fight a murder case.
37:58
SPEAKER_03: We you know that family will income from that.
38:00
SPEAKER_03: So that's how they get you, even if it ain't public.
38:03
SPEAKER_03: They they they infiltrate and they just keep and then you pick the one, they know they got you.
38:09
SPEAKER_03: You know what I'm saying?
38:09
SPEAKER_03: It's like cool.
38:10
SPEAKER_03: We got he he going, he go, they're going with our boy, he's gonna make sure that da da da da da.
38:15
SPEAKER_03: And like I said, the defense was so horrible.
38:19
SPEAKER_03: I need them investing, I need to know where they came from.
38:22
SPEAKER_03: Just because of what I've seen happen in the past, where they set you up with a lawyer, and and and and if you thinking it's a lawyer that's on your side, and he really working for the other team, and so it's just a sad, it's just a sad, sad, sad, sad situation, man.
38:43
SPEAKER_03: And I don't even know.
38:46
SPEAKER_03: I mean, maybe what do you think about an appeal?
38:48
SPEAKER_03: Do you think he even got a chance on the pill?
38:50
SPEAKER_01: He got grounds, but yeah.
38:53
SPEAKER_01: I will file it.
38:54
SPEAKER_01: I would file it if I was on.
38:55
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I would have filed, I would have filed it the next day if I could.
39:01
SPEAKER_01: Like that like that, that's great.
39:03
SPEAKER_01: That whole case need to be overturned.
39:05
SPEAKER_01: It shouldn't even been tried by the judge in the first place.
39:11
SPEAKER_03: Then we're oh, we got Darnell in the building.
39:19
SPEAKER_03: What's up, Pastor D?
39:21
SPEAKER_03: My best friend for a hundred years.
39:23
SPEAKER_03: Where you at?
39:24
SPEAKER_03: I see him in there.
39:25
SPEAKER_03: Let's see, where you at?
39:28
SPEAKER_03: It happens more than you know.
39:30
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, look, they even he said because my my my best friend, he he knows about the south.
39:34
SPEAKER_03: He from Cleveland, but he's been living in the south shit more more years now, more years than he uh lived in Cleveland, born and raised.
39:42
SPEAKER_03: But he said it happens more than you know.
39:45
SPEAKER_03: Hundreds of years there.
39:46
SPEAKER_03: This they've been running this same routine forever, and I didn't know.
39:50
SPEAKER_03: Like I said, I would have never knew about the giving you a fake attorney game if it wasn't for that Damian Cameron case.
39:59
SPEAKER_03: I my my mouth dropped to the floor when they told me because they said like it was like stuff being held up.
40:06
SPEAKER_03: The way they found out is there was stuff being held up, like motions and shit they was trying to do, and it kept being being um held up and postponed.
40:17
SPEAKER_03: And they were like, Well, what the fuck is you doing?
40:19
SPEAKER_03: Like they they they wasn't following through on shit.
40:22
SPEAKER_03: So they finally found out that this attorney was connected to the police department, and then they end up having to hire, I believe that's when they hired Ben Crump or something.
40:33
SPEAKER_03: I know they had to hire an out-of-town attorney who just used one of their local attorneys to use their license or whatever, but they end up having to hire an out-of-town attorney just to feel like they had a chance to get a fair trial or fair justice.
40:52
SPEAKER_03: It's it's crazy, man.
40:54
SPEAKER_01: Damn.
40:56
SPEAKER_01: Like I wouldn't, I wouldn't put it past nobody, but it's like, damn, like that shit.
41:02
SPEAKER_03: Ain't that that's a dirty game, bro?
41:05
SPEAKER_03: They go far.
41:08
SPEAKER_03: And this guy who didn't bother, no, I don't know.
41:11
SPEAKER_03: Like I said, y'all they they taught us, they shoved that stand your ground shit down our throat and made us in times when we just thought it was totally unfair.
41:22
SPEAKER_03: They told us to stand your ground.
41:24
SPEAKER_03: And to get to this one, in a stand your ground state, where this guy was not the aggressor, this guy knew somebody, like you said, uh knew the Carmelo Anthony knew somebody in the tent and was just getting out the rain.
41:40
SPEAKER_03: Metcalf, Austin, all those people, they they ended up trying to be the police and telling who can be in the tent and can't be, and then put your hands on somebody, and then you ended up there.
41:52
SPEAKER_03: And that's sad, but this is why I told y'all we was raised.
41:59
SPEAKER_03: Don't be the so quick to put your hands on people, man.
42:03
SPEAKER_03: Only do it if you defending yourself, uh, you'll have no choice but to just voluntarily be putting your fucking hands on people.
42:14
SPEAKER_03: You are asking for trouble.
42:19
SPEAKER_03: You you you asking for trouble.
42:20
SPEAKER_03: You asking for trouble that you don't you did the unnecessary trouble, and and and and and to see that young boy shaking in tears with a damn near four-point OGPA, no history of violence, no suspensions, no detentions, none of that.
42:50
SPEAKER_03: And he don't get no more grace than that.
42:52
SPEAKER_03: That's crazy, right?
42:55
SPEAKER_01: Like they so yeah, what's the name?
42:57
SPEAKER_01: I was saying with uh color ass here.
42:59
SPEAKER_01: They they not from Texas, but they was living in Texas.
43:03
SPEAKER_01: That's where you went to school.
43:04
SPEAKER_01: He went to school in Texas, high school in Texas.
43:07
SPEAKER_01: Okay, so they they not they originally from Louisiana, then they moved to Texas.
43:12
SPEAKER_03: So they really outsiders for real.
43:15
SPEAKER_03: That's another thing.
43:16
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, he didn't get a fair trial, man.
43:18
SPEAKER_03: He did not get a fair trial, and you can't tell me.
43:24
SPEAKER_03: Like I posted on my page yesterday, a lot of people got pissed.
43:27
SPEAKER_03: I don't give a fuck because when I'm I'm gonna say the real, and I don't care if y'all don't want to admit it, if people don't want to admit it, that's on that's on them.
43:37
SPEAKER_03: But it's just sad that if the roles was reversed, there's no fucking way that that the other kid would have got no fucking 40 years, man, 35 years and been fined for murder.
43:49
SPEAKER_03: If if that if the other kid had came into the tent were a bunch of uh uh what's his name, Carmelo Anthony and all his.
44:00
SPEAKER_03: Friends was telling him he had to get the fuck out and got to pushing them and all that and and fighting them or whatever.
44:06
SPEAKER_03: And if he defended himself and underlived, kind of like Rittenhouse did when he underlived all them people.
44:17
SPEAKER_03: When he alive underlived all them people, and then he got off.
44:20
SPEAKER_03: You cannot tell me.
44:22
SPEAKER_03: That's nobody, nobody gonna make me believe that that that that the other kid, the white kid, would have got 40 years.
44:29
SPEAKER_03: I just it's no way he wouldn't have got five.
44:31
SPEAKER_03: It might not have even went to trial.
44:32
SPEAKER_01: It might have got dismissed, it might have got just look, man, the way the way they have been playing bar, bro.
44:39
SPEAKER_01: I I wouldn't be surprised if they gave him 35 years because he had a 3.5 GPA.
44:48
SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
44:48
SPEAKER_01: Oh, he's doing good in school.
44:50
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, okay.
44:50
SPEAKER_01: 3.5, huh?
44:51
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's I'm gonna give him 35 years.
44:54
SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
44:55
SPEAKER_03: And 17 and a half years eligible for parole, because that was either his age or Austin's age or something, I bet.
45:04
SPEAKER_03: You know, I think you know, because you know they play, they always play games games like that.
45:09
SPEAKER_03: But that's like you said, 35, 3.5 GPA.
45:12
SPEAKER_03: They say take your 3.5 GPA and take it to prison with you.
45:15
SPEAKER_03: I think that's man.
45:18
SPEAKER_03: And the thing is, man, is it's it's it's it could happen to anybody kid.
45:25
SPEAKER_03: Like, you know, anybody kid could you a kid.
45:29
SPEAKER_03: So, you know, if you're trying to protect yourself, I heard uh at the time, I believe they said Carmelo was like 130 pounds.
45:36
SPEAKER_03: I heard the other kids, Austin and them was bigger than him, too.
45:39
SPEAKER_03: I heard that too.
45:41
SPEAKER_03: But if you if you if you got a son and they trying to protect themselves and they're a kid, and they got some little little night little weapons.
45:50
SPEAKER_03: Shit, my my cousin, all my cousins carry weapons to protect themselves our whole life.
45:55
SPEAKER_03: Like that was kind of normal.
45:57
SPEAKER_03: You know what I mean?
45:58
SPEAKER_03: Not not no big crazy, but just something.
46:01
SPEAKER_03: Even if it was just mates, we always carry something.
46:04
SPEAKER_03: So, and then you know, it just next thing you know, twist and turn it, boom, and you hit, you know, the knife hit right on the heart, they said, straight through the heart.
46:16
SPEAKER_03: So it was just like um, you know, boom.
46:21
SPEAKER_03: In the blink of an eye, dead.
46:25
SPEAKER_01: And then like they couldn't even consider like like crime or passion or nothing.
46:33
SPEAKER_03: And it wasn't premeditated.
46:35
SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
46:35
SPEAKER_01: It wasn't that was just that was a real live reaction, right?
46:39
SPEAKER_03: And so how I don't know how if it's not premeditated.
46:42
SPEAKER_03: I mean, unless they are they trying to save by that by that ruling, are they saying it's pre-cause I thought murder had to be premeditated.
46:52
SPEAKER_03: Isn't that not the case?
46:54
SPEAKER_01: Like what what I think no, but I I think they like murder is like you got the intent to do it.
47:02
SPEAKER_03: Right.
47:02
SPEAKER_03: That's what I'm saying.
47:03
SPEAKER_01: And so I don't see how they beyond a reasonable doubt, would be honest because that was a lot, that was a that was a conflict in real time.
47:16
SPEAKER_03: Right.
47:17
SPEAKER_01: So it wasn't like it wasn't like, yeah, uh I'm really about to not even no pre-meditate, just like it ain't like he willingly put himself in that situation because like, yeah, I'm definitely about to I'm about to get this motherfucker today.
47:34
SPEAKER_03: They initiated with him.
47:37
SPEAKER_03: I don't think nobody can debate that or argue that.
47:40
SPEAKER_03: Like we we know that they initiated with him, and and and and so at least says by law intent can be formed in seconds.
47:58
SPEAKER_03: A verdict in less than four hours in a murder trial, suspension.
48:01
SPEAKER_03: Oh yeah, then that's another thing.
48:03
SPEAKER_03: Uh murder trial, the verdict came quick.
48:08
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they ain't even getting uh what's the name?
48:10
SPEAKER_01: Uh Nancy time to get down there.
48:15
SPEAKER_03: Oh, she couldn't get down there?
48:16
SPEAKER_01: Lady uh lady be on the court TV show.
48:19
SPEAKER_01: Nancy.
48:20
SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
48:21
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, oh yeah.
48:22
SPEAKER_03: She was she couldn't even make it there, huh?
48:23
SPEAKER_01: The trial was too quick.
48:25
SPEAKER_01: See, she was trying to get her plane, her flight arrangements.
48:28
SPEAKER_01: All of the news was trying to get their flight arrangements and shit.
48:31
SPEAKER_01: As soon as they got on the plane, they had to they had to tell the pilot to turn around because the trial was over.
48:36
SPEAKER_01: Already.
48:37
SPEAKER_03: The trial was five seconds.
48:39
SPEAKER_03: The deliberation was four seconds.
48:41
SPEAKER_01: No, and the trial was a was was a Mike Tyson fight back in there.
48:45
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
48:51
SPEAKER_02: Crazy.
48:52
SPEAKER_02: Hold it down.
48:53
SPEAKER_02: Keep keep going.
48:54
SPEAKER_02: I gotta take this real quick.
48:57
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, uh it's just like y'all, um, yeah, they they they gotta get dog at least at least another like if you're gonna put him on trial, give him a fair shot.
49:08
SPEAKER_01: Everybody, everybody, you you got the right to a fair and speedy trial.
49:13
SPEAKER_01: Now, I don't know about as far as speedy it being that fucking fast, but like, like at least at least give it to her.
49:21
SPEAKER_01: Now, like, even like the well, like why they only called his mama up there.
49:27
SPEAKER_01: Like, they they ain't had nobody else.
49:30
SPEAKER_01: And then it's crazy how all of the like the majority of the witnesses, it was it was it was everything was like too biased and one-sided, in my opinion.
49:40
SPEAKER_01: And then like I said, in my opinion, that's that's what I think.
49:43
SPEAKER_01: They they should have if it was gonna be any like any any issues or something, they they should have just transferred it to at least to another court or something like that.
50:01
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, 3.7 GPA.
50:05
SPEAKER_03: 3.7?
50:06
SPEAKER_02: Mm-hmm.
50:07
SPEAKER_03: That's what color said.
50:15
SPEAKER_03: Man, that is fucking sad.
50:18
SPEAKER_03: Like I said, uh he was just doing it.
50:23
SPEAKER_01: It said the defense picked the uh what's the name?
50:27
SPEAKER_01: Picked the uh Jerry.
50:30
SPEAKER_01: So if you like, so how the fuck you defending me?
50:36
SPEAKER_01: See?
50:37
SPEAKER_01: Damn, bro.
50:38
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that yeah.
50:39
SPEAKER_03: Telling you they do that, and I did not know.
50:42
SPEAKER_01: That's crazy.
50:43
SPEAKER_01: I yeah, I think, yeah, no, they they they on some they on some fuck shit.
50:49
SPEAKER_03: Telling you, I would have never, I did not know that they played like that.
50:54
SPEAKER_03: Like I didn't even know it was, I didn't know that was possible, man.
51:00
SPEAKER_01: And then you then you gotta watch out there.
51:03
SPEAKER_01: Like, I want people to be like mindful too about like how the media and shit be playing tricks about a lot of shit.
51:10
SPEAKER_01: Like I seen the ones, I seen the one thing where they had the press conference and the dude was all jumping up and up and down in the one dude's face.
51:18
