- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, what's up everyone.
- 0:02Speaker 2: My name's Ben, I'm Nicole, and you're listening to Wicked
- 0:05Speaker 2: and Grim.
- 0:06Speaker 1: A true crime podcast that's going through some technical errors
- 0:10Speaker 1: because my computer is, like, I don't know, decided to
- 0:13Speaker 1: die of me this week. So we don't have our
- 0:14Speaker 1: intro or anything right now, so we're going to improvise warning.
- 0:20Speaker 3: The following podcast contains graphic material and subject matter.
- 0:26Speaker 1: I can't remember.
- 0:27Speaker 3: It not intended for all listeners. If your listener discretion
- 0:32Speaker 3: is advised.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Do do do Do Do Do Do Do Do Do.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Do do true Ever, Hey, oh man, I know you
- 0:40Speaker 1: couldn't even remember it. I completely blanked. I did a
- 0:44Speaker 1: test run like two minutes prior, and.
- 0:46Speaker 2: I killed it because we actually listened to every episode
- 0:49Speaker 2: we do, like just to see how we can improve
- 0:52Speaker 2: and how it goes.
- 0:54Speaker 1: And ever since, like, our audio hasn't been the best.
- 0:57Speaker 1: I know that, but ever since we got the new microphones,
- 0:59Speaker 1: I'm trying to like really play with and get her
- 1:02Speaker 1: audio sounding better. And I feel like I'm doing worse lately.
- 1:05Speaker 1: But the audio, yes, I feel like the audio sounding
- 1:08Speaker 1: worse because I'm like trying to slap on like these
- 1:10Speaker 1: filters and stuff that I don't.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Even know what the well, you're just getting used to
- 1:13Speaker 2: the new mics and stuff too, what they are like
- 1:15Speaker 2: capable of.
- 1:16Speaker 1: But I think, like I've got some stuff figured out,
- 1:19Speaker 1: so today you should be listening to some better audio
- 1:21Speaker 1: as long as I can get the editing program to
- 1:24Speaker 1: work on one of the other computers. Yeah, if not,
- 1:27Speaker 1: it might sound a little echoey today, but well, we're
- 1:29Speaker 1: gonna still rock this. We're gonna do it.
- 1:31Speaker 2: So and my voice is like kind of back to normal.
- 1:35Speaker 1: I mean, you still sound sexy. You could probably work
- 1:37Speaker 1: in a phone line still, Yeah, you can do that.
- 1:39Speaker 2: It's still there a bit, but and I have like
- 1:41Speaker 2: a little cough, so I'll try to control that. But
- 1:43Speaker 2: it's definitely like a hell of a lot better than
- 1:45Speaker 2: last week.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Oh definitely.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Yeah, So sorry about that.
- 1:49Speaker 1: You sounded good. You're feeling better, But.
- 1:50Speaker 2: We still showed up. We put a podcast out.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Boom gotta do it every week every Tuesday.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Yeah, we did it. Yeah, I'm proud of us.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Good job. High five, Hi five, and high team for
- 2:02Speaker 1: all the freaking ridiculous work we're doing lately behind the
- 2:05Speaker 1: scenes on our podcast and you know, just day to
- 2:09Speaker 1: day life, because I mean moving is coming down the pipe.
- 2:13Speaker 1: The tiny home is coming down the pipe. We got
- 2:14Speaker 1: a lot on the go.
- 2:16Speaker 2: There's so much, but it's all like right now, I
- 2:18Speaker 2: don't feel overly excited just because it's like you're bogged down.
- 2:21Speaker 2: But there's so much happening. It is so exciting, and
- 2:23Speaker 2: I just need to look at the bigger picture.
- 2:25Speaker 1: And I've actually I want to mention this real quick.
- 2:28Speaker 1: I've got some ideas and some like really quick doodles
- 2:31Speaker 1: and drafts done up for T shirt stuff. I'm really
- 2:35Speaker 1: looking forward to getting in the tiny home and being
- 2:37Speaker 1: having time, have time to get some merch out there
- 2:39Speaker 1: for you.
- 2:40Speaker 2: To have merch. Yeah, one day, I think that'd be sweet,
- 2:43Speaker 2: like stickers and stuff too. I wonder what people would
- 2:45Speaker 2: even want for merch.
- 2:46Speaker 1: I don't know. Let us know, Yeah, hit us up
- 2:48Speaker 1: on Instagram or Facebook.
- 2:49Speaker 2: I feel like T shirts is the big one, but
- 2:51Speaker 2: there's probably other things that people might want most certainly.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll figure it out. Let us know what you
- 2:56Speaker 1: guys would want, and we'll we'll get them coming soon enough,
- 2:59Speaker 1: as soon as the tiny Home rolls around, hopefully in
- 3:02Speaker 1: time for Christmas.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Grim T shirts. I love it.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll put an order in. I mean, that's the
- 3:08Speaker 1: idea that maybe we can order stuff to get it
- 3:13Speaker 1: for other people to order.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Exactly. I'll order too.
- 3:16Speaker 1: There you go, There you go, there you go. Okay,
- 3:21Speaker 1: So this episode is an interesting one. I was actually
- 3:25Speaker 1: researching another episode, another case changed when a friend of
- 3:31Speaker 1: ours and Avid listener to the podcast Dana Sup Dana
- 3:35Speaker 1: she's the one who actually made the moth destroy right
- 3:39Speaker 1: we gave away, and she recommended this case and I
- 3:43Speaker 1: looked into it and I'm like, I'm I'm switching it.
- 3:46Speaker 1: I'm switching my case this week. I'm diving into this
- 3:48Speaker 1: one right now.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Yeah, And you switched like very last minute.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Very last minute. Was up till three point thirty am
- 3:53Speaker 1: last night researching this.
- 3:55Speaker 2: Yeah, so that was fun. Are you going to still
- 3:57Speaker 2: do the other one one day?
- 3:59Speaker 1: Oh? I will. Okay, it's a good case, but I
- 4:01Speaker 1: just this one just it was too good timing to
- 4:03Speaker 1: not do it, because we're coming off another cult episode
- 4:06Speaker 1: and though this one's not necessarily cult. The individual who's
- 4:10Speaker 1: prominent in this and it's his case sort of thing,
- 4:13Speaker 1: the antagonist, if you will, he kind of wanted to
- 4:17Speaker 1: be a cult leader sort of thing. He had his
- 4:20Speaker 1: own like little like following in his house, his friends,
- 4:24Speaker 1: his close knit group fun. It's kind of like a
- 4:27Speaker 1: mini cult.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Well he had big dreams but didn't quite get there.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Yeah, not like the last lady definitely.
- 4:34Speaker 2: I can't even remember the last lady's name was.
- 4:37Speaker 1: See, that's a problem with these podcasts. We're always like
- 4:40Speaker 1: researching names, and it's like as soon as one goes
- 4:42Speaker 1: out or is done, we're onto the next one. I
- 4:44Speaker 1: think it was Amy something, wasn't it.
- 4:46Speaker 2: I have no idea. Yeah, I have no idea. I'm sick.
- 4:49Speaker 2: I'm allowed to have forgotten.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Yeah, fair, But it was Love Has Won?
- 4:53Speaker 2: Okay, Love has one? There you go, And it was
- 4:55Speaker 2: like w O N right, yes, yeah, which I was like,
- 4:59Speaker 2: oh I assumed it was the other way.
- 5:03Speaker 1: But yeah, coming off that cult one, we're kind of
- 5:05Speaker 1: on another cultish one.
- 5:07Speaker 2: So because people like the cults, yeah, let's do it.
- 5:10Speaker 2: I want to actually research a cult one, please.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Well I do have another one that Bronson, my tattoo
- 5:15Speaker 1: artist down in Vancouver. Shout out to Bronson, what's up?
- 5:18Speaker 1: He requested? You're just don't know what he requested? One
- 5:22Speaker 1: that's actually it was prominent in the Vancouver area.
- 5:24Speaker 2: So maybe you can research that that one. That's fun.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Okay, let's dive into this though. This is all about
- 5:30Speaker 1: Pazzu Algarod. That's an alias. Though his real name was
- 5:38Speaker 1: John Alexander Lawson, John John.
- 5:41Speaker 2: That's quite a difference in names there.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Definitely, we'll get into John to change here in a
- 5:47Speaker 1: little bit. I'm going to call him John here throughout
- 5:50Speaker 1: his earlier life as I'm describing that, but when he
- 5:53Speaker 1: goes through his name change, I'm going to call him
- 5:55Speaker 1: by his name change. Though I'm sure he wants people
- 5:58Speaker 1: who refer to him by his new name, I'm going
- 5:59Speaker 1: to refer to him buy his new name for different reasons.
- 6:02Speaker 1: We'll get into that though, Okay, Okay. So, John Alexander
- 6:06Speaker 1: Lawson was born August twelfth, nineteen seventy eight, in San Francisco.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Oh I love San Francisco.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Go to California, the West Coast, love it. The accounts
- 6:15Speaker 1: of his childhood do vary a little bit depending on
- 6:17Speaker 1: who's telling the story, but people who knew John as
- 6:21Speaker 1: a child described him as a little off kilter and emotional,
- 6:27Speaker 1: but still he led a normal life.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Okay.
- 6:30Speaker 1: His parents, Cynthia Lawson and Timothy J. Lawson had married
- 6:34Speaker 1: in nineteen seventy one, and the three of them ended
- 6:37Speaker 1: up moving when John was two to Forsyth County in
- 6:41Speaker 1: North Carolina in nineteen eighty. Then they got divorced in
- 6:48Speaker 1: nineteen ninety. John loved, like I said, fairly normal life.
- 6:53Speaker 1: He was in Cub Scouts when he was real young,
- 6:55Speaker 1: and progressed to play Little League baseball and into football
- 6:58Speaker 1: and his pre teens athletic dude. Definitely an athletic dude.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Fairly normal as far as most reports go, though there
- 7:06Speaker 1: are some reports of him being, like I said, still
- 7:08Speaker 1: off kilter, weird, stinking sometimes lots of times actually.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Stinking, wain stinky, not really smelly.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Yeah, not really, not really showering. He's a little weird,
- 7:19Speaker 1: but all around normal aside from those accounts. Then in
- 7:24Speaker 1: nineteen ninety eight, Cynthia actually remarried to John Larry James Johnny.
- 7:32Speaker 1: The couple in John lived in a home, so it's John,
- 7:35Speaker 1: Cynthia and Johnny.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Yeah. I was just like in my head, I could
- 7:38Speaker 2: you see my wheels starting because I was like, I
- 7:40Speaker 2: don't have to remember that.
- 7:41Speaker 1: That's why I explained it, because I was like, that's
- 7:43Speaker 1: a little bit of a.
- 7:44Speaker 2: That's like confusing that she met another John.
- 7:47Speaker 1: But okay, yeah, so they wear my hand out yet.
- 7:51Speaker 1: They lived in a home at two seven four nine
- 7:55Speaker 1: knob Hill Drive, Winston Salem, North Carolina. By the time
- 8:00Speaker 1: John began By this time, John began to change a
- 8:03Speaker 1: little bit, though. He dropped out of his sports and
- 8:05Speaker 1: his off kilter side started to become a little more prominent.
- 8:09Speaker 1: He had an obsession with dark movies like Friday the Thirteenth,
- 8:12Speaker 1: Nightmare and Elm Street The Extorcist, which, by the way,
- 8:16Speaker 1: all I love all those freaking movies, those horror movies,
- 8:18Speaker 1: those cult classic movies. Love them.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Have I ever watched right in the Thirteenth?
- 8:22Speaker 1: I don't know, have you?
- 8:23Speaker 2: I don't know?
- 8:24Speaker 1: You better have I don't know.
- 8:25Speaker 2: I needed to look into that because we're gonna have
- 8:27Speaker 2: to watch it, like I have to watch it if
- 8:29Speaker 2: I haven't.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Yeah, definitely. Well, I mean that's Crystal Lake, right, you know,
- 8:37Speaker 1: have you watched it?
- 8:38Speaker 2: It's not actually like film teer though.
- 8:40Speaker 1: No, we have a Crystal Lake just north of US.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Okay, because I've heard like references, I don't actually think
- 8:46Speaker 2: I've maybe watched this really because.
- 8:48Speaker 1: In the movie there's it's like summer camp sort of thing. Yeah,
- 8:51Speaker 1: it's at Camp Crystal Lake, Okay, and then Jason proceeds
- 8:56Speaker 1: to slaughter a bunch of kids at this camp basically
- 9:00Speaker 1: very short. So yeah. And then there's multiple Friday of
- 9:03Speaker 1: the Thirteenth movies. And then there's Halloween with Michael Myers
- 9:05Speaker 1: where he slaughters a bunch of people. Then there's Nightmare
- 9:07Speaker 1: and Elm Street where Freddy Krueger is literally part of
- 9:10Speaker 1: your nightmares and kills you in your dreams.
- 9:12Speaker 2: And okay, good old slasher goal like tidy home goal.
- 9:16Speaker 2: I want to become a baker, and I need to
- 9:17Speaker 2: watch more horror movies.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Clearly, I know I've I've introduced you to some like
- 9:22Speaker 1: I know I've made you watch all the Evil deads Yeah,
- 9:24Speaker 1: which is like, hands down my case.
- 9:26Speaker 2: We're obsessed. Yeah.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Love Bruce Campbell. That man is sexy. I'm not gay,
- 9:30Speaker 1: but I would do things if he asked.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Goodness, you would.
- 9:35Speaker 1: He's a good looking dude, Yeah, especially for his age.
- 9:37Speaker 1: He's getting older and he's still he's a very classy individual.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Even I might even go as far as saying he's
- 9:44Speaker 1: a bougie guy. He's a bougie guy guy. Yeah, just
- 9:49Speaker 1: dropping that in there. Anyways, moving on, So he was
- 9:52Speaker 1: obsessed with the cult classic movies, which weren't cult classics end.
- 9:56Speaker 1: There were just horror movies then, but the slash reflicks
- 9:59Speaker 1: that sort of thing, and anything related to the occult,
- 10:04Speaker 1: which is basically defined as supernatural beliefs and practices which
- 10:08Speaker 1: generally fall outside the scope of religion and science. You know,
- 10:11Speaker 1: paranormal and supernatural essentially. Okay, I mean it's a little
- 10:14Speaker 1: deeper than that, but that's the surface definition right now.
- 10:18Speaker 1: It may have been that his mother felt guilty due
- 10:20Speaker 1: to divorce due to the divorce in John's father, essentially
- 10:24Speaker 1: leaving their life forever. Or perhaps it was a little
- 10:27Speaker 1: bit more deeper and it was that she just had
- 10:30Speaker 1: such love for her son that she wanted to provide
- 10:32Speaker 1: anything that he wanted. Either way, John rarely had no
- 10:36Speaker 1: for an answer growing up. He was essentially given complete
- 10:39Speaker 1: freedom to do what he wanted when he wanted, so
- 10:43Speaker 1: much so that John didn't even like his mother being married,
- 10:47Speaker 1: probably because she married another dude named John, and he
- 10:49Speaker 1: was like, fuck that, that's my name.
- 10:52Speaker 2: It kind of sounds like you'd be like that.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Probably so regardless to please her son. She split from
- 10:59Speaker 1: the newfound marriage, oh her and her son. Okay, it
- 11:03Speaker 1: got to the point where John was like getting quite
- 11:05Speaker 1: depressed and having some mental issues with a lot of
- 11:07Speaker 1: things on the side too. But that's going to continue
- 11:11Speaker 1: throughout the rest of his life as well, So it
- 11:13Speaker 1: wasn't just due to that.
- 11:14Speaker 2: So she gave him a lot of power basically life
- 11:18Speaker 2: all the power. Yeah, yeap, huh.
- 11:22Speaker 1: So the separation didn't really leave the glamorous life of
- 11:26Speaker 1: the two of them like she was hoping though. Okay,
- 11:28Speaker 1: John continued down the path dropped out of high school
- 11:31Speaker 1: in grade nine, so it got worse, got worse, And
- 11:34Speaker 1: just just to throw in perspective here, he dropped out
- 11:36Speaker 1: of high school after the divorce at grade nine. So
- 11:40Speaker 1: you have someone who's like probably grade seven eight who
- 11:44Speaker 1: influenced his mother into a divorce.
- 11:47Speaker 2: That's young.
- 11:48Speaker 1: That is young to have that sort of power and
- 11:49Speaker 1: influence over.
- 11:50Speaker 2: A parent totally.
- 11:52Speaker 1: So I mean, I'm not going to judge parenting style,
- 11:57Speaker 1: but that is there's definitely something wrong there and a
- 12:00Speaker 1: lot of people.
- 12:01Speaker 2: But unless Johnny was like a terrible person, yeah of course,
- 12:06Speaker 2: I don't know, then then you definitely have that power.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Yeah. But a lot of people going through the information
- 12:11Speaker 1: on this, Like there's a documentary called The Devil you
- 12:13Speaker 1: Know on Vice which I watched all the episodes and everything.
- 12:16Speaker 1: It's a five part docu series. A lot of people
- 12:19Speaker 1: point the finger towards Cynthia enabling John a lot of
- 12:24Speaker 1: the times when he was younger and everything. Okay, yeah,
- 12:27Speaker 1: she she has quoted in the in the documentary documentary
- 12:31Speaker 1: a few times. Here she says things like all parents
- 12:34Speaker 1: argue with their children and don't agree, which she's right. Ye.
- 12:38Speaker 1: She also says, yes, John has some mental problems, but
- 12:41Speaker 1: he's not a bad guy. And she even described him
- 12:44Speaker 1: as her little warrior, which I mean, so far it
- 12:48Speaker 1: sounds good.
- 12:49Speaker 2: Okay, Yeah, I can. I can get on that.
- 12:51Speaker 1: That's okay. You got to remember the good things and
- 12:53Speaker 1: block out anything any of the bad things. He wasn't
- 12:56Speaker 1: by any means an angel hope. But he wasn't a
- 12:58Speaker 1: bad person. I mean, everyone wants to think that of
- 13:02Speaker 1: their little kid. Yeah, definitely. But I think she just
- 13:06Speaker 1: turned a blind eye too many things. I think deep
- 13:08Speaker 1: down she knew or knows who he is, which we're
- 13:12Speaker 1: going to get into, and she was just turning a
- 13:17Speaker 1: blind eye.
- 13:17Speaker 2: You know, it's funny because I feel like it's on
- 13:21Speaker 2: that one spectrum of like it's not all perfect but whatever,
- 13:25Speaker 2: or it's like my kid's an asshole. Yeah, because I've
- 13:27Speaker 2: definitely heard parents say that before. So it's like it's
- 13:31Speaker 2: one one end or the other.
- 13:34Speaker 1: So John was eventually diagnosed with being a gooraphobic, schizophrenic,
- 13:39Speaker 1: and psychotic, and that's when Cynthia started to getting help
- 13:43Speaker 1: for him.
- 13:44Speaker 2: What's a gorphobic?
- 13:46Speaker 1: It's I don't know the exact definition of it, but
- 13:50Speaker 1: it's like the fear of going into public spaces. Most
- 13:54Speaker 1: people who are a gorphobic tend to like lock themselves
- 13:57Speaker 1: up in their bedroom. They don't want to go outside.
- 13:59Speaker 2: Oh that sounds so huh that sounds like scary.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Yeah, So I don't know if that's the exact definition,
- 14:05Speaker 1: but I do know it's like essentially afraid of leaving
- 14:07Speaker 1: your safe space. Pretty well, yeah, where am I now? Okay?
- 14:13Speaker 1: So she did start getting help for him, though it
- 14:14Speaker 1: didn't last long. And there's one point in there that
- 14:18Speaker 1: she says, you know, it costs a lot of money
- 14:19Speaker 1: to do that sort.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Of stuff, which is fair.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Yeah, though through some of the sessions, though, the professionals
- 14:26Speaker 1: did find some interesting things like John had been regularly
- 14:29Speaker 1: consuming alcohol from the age of thirteen, and his mother, Cynthia,
- 14:35Speaker 1: would buy him said alcohol. She would continue to buy
- 14:38Speaker 1: him beer to help settle him down and cope with
- 14:40Speaker 1: whatever issues he had. Oh goodness, so there comes that enabling,
- 14:45Speaker 1: that turning the blind eye and just kind of trying
- 14:47Speaker 1: to make her son happy, right.
- 14:48Speaker 2: Well, because thirteen is so young, and that's just like
- 14:51Speaker 2: setting up to almost be an alcoholic as an adult.
- 14:54Speaker 1: Yeah way, yeah, well an alcoholic as a kid.
- 14:57Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that or is a late teenager. Yeah.
- 15:00Speaker 1: So his younger years, like I said, we're a little
- 15:04Speaker 1: bit hard to decipher because depending on who you talk
- 15:06Speaker 1: to it changes a bit. But from those people who
- 15:09Speaker 1: knew him younger and from his mom, like that's kind
- 15:12Speaker 1: of how his younger years were. However, if you talk
- 15:15Speaker 1: to John, it's a little bit different.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Oh.
- 15:20Speaker 1: He would really like to try and paint himself on
- 15:21Speaker 1: a different picture, especially how he perceived himself or wanted
- 15:24Speaker 1: to be perceived. Okay, he would even say that his
- 15:27Speaker 1: dad was from or that he was from Iraq, and
- 15:30Speaker 1: that his father was some sort of high priest over there. Really, yep,
- 15:34Speaker 1: just making.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Up this story, making.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Up this shit.
- 15:37Speaker 2: That's interesting.
- 15:39Speaker 1: So John eventually took the name of Pazuzu in two
- 15:42Speaker 1: thousand and two. And now, the name Pazzuzu derives from
- 15:45Speaker 1: an ancient demon from Syrian or Babylonian times, which right
- 15:49Speaker 1: over in the same area where John claims to be from.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Now that this demonic god was most popular in the
- 15:56Speaker 1: first millennium BCE. He was a high tiered demon of
- 15:59Speaker 1: the underworld, in control of the west and south winds,
- 16:02Speaker 1: which brought famine during dry season and in the rainy season,
- 16:06Speaker 1: tearing storms and locusts. So he's basically a high tiered
- 16:10Speaker 1: demon with these plagues sort of thing behind him.
- 16:14Speaker 2: Would you say that he's smart?
- 16:16Speaker 1: No, okay, well in some ways yes. Now you might
- 16:21Speaker 1: think that, oh he's smart because he's clearly doing research
- 16:24Speaker 1: on demonology, that yeah thing.
- 16:25Speaker 2: Well that's what I was just thinking.
- 16:26Speaker 1: Yeah, no, because there's a surface level to this, Okay. However,
- 16:30Speaker 1: in this case, it was most likely paying homage to
- 16:32Speaker 1: the legendary demon King, who is the main antagonist from
- 16:35Speaker 1: the iconic nineteen seventy three movie The Exorcist. So Pazuzu
- 16:40Speaker 1: was basically the bad guy in the movie The Exorcist,
- 16:43Speaker 1: and that is most likely where he's deriving it from.
- 16:45Speaker 1: Oh okay, so he's just taking it from pop culture.
- 16:48Speaker 2: He's just like watching a movie.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Yeah kind of yep. Also, there's reports of him worshiping
- 16:55Speaker 1: Tiamat throughout his life because he becomes really into the
- 16:58Speaker 1: occult and Satanism and Satanic rituals and stuff. I get
- 17:02Speaker 1: a little thing I'll say on Satanism and such at
- 17:05Speaker 1: the end here of the whole podcast, but for now,
- 17:08Speaker 1: he began to worship some demons, among being Tmat, who
- 17:12Speaker 1: is a Babylonian goddess of the sea. However, Tmat is
- 17:16Speaker 1: also a big bad dragon in Dungeons and Dragons. So
- 17:20Speaker 1: he's just taken shit from pop culture basically totally. So
- 17:23Speaker 1: he's all like Exorcist here, D and D there, just
- 17:26Speaker 1: trying to make himself look cool and badass, saying like
- 17:29Speaker 1: he knows these demons and stuff, when it's you're just
- 17:31Speaker 1: taking popular shit that everyone in different categories of life knows.
- 17:36Speaker 2: Question, Yeah, did you know that that was from D
- 17:39Speaker 2: and D when you first heard it, or did you
- 17:41Speaker 2: learn that in your research?
- 17:42Speaker 1: Tmatt, I knew that right away. Okay, I believe it's
- 17:46Speaker 1: a five headed dragon. I was like, I'm wondering, tmat
- 17:50Speaker 1: is like the most prominent big battie in or at
- 17:54Speaker 1: least one of if not. I think it might be
- 17:57Speaker 1: the most powerful creature in dungeons and dragons. Huh.
- 18:00Speaker 2: So well, this like case kind of assumes something seem
- 18:03Speaker 2: up your alley here a little bit.
- 18:04Speaker 1: I might be nerding out a little bit. Yeah, her
- 18:06Speaker 1: tea man.
- 18:07Speaker 2: In there, no kidding.
- 18:08Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, if you guys don't know, I like me
- 18:11Speaker 1: some D and D. Yeah, you still got to play
- 18:13Speaker 1: one day.
- 18:14Speaker 2: You're like a nerd at heart? Really I feel.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Am I a nerd at heart? Or am I just
- 18:17Speaker 1: a nerd? I mean I have Dragon ball z anime
- 18:20Speaker 1: tattooed on my arm. I have Harry Potter tattooed in
- 18:24Speaker 1: my other arm.
- 18:24Speaker 2: Yeah, a man with many, many interests.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Let's say that it's a very polite way of putting it.
- 18:33Speaker 1: Thank you. I appreciate you just kind of giving that
- 18:36Speaker 1: little like feather dusting on top the little sparkles on
- 18:39Speaker 1: top there. Thank you appreciate it. Okay, now where am
- 18:45Speaker 1: I here? Okay, so John or pezzuzu, I'm gonna start
- 18:50Speaker 1: referring to him as Pazzuzu now. And the reason I'm
- 18:52Speaker 1: going to refer to him as Pazzuzu because he thinks
- 18:55Speaker 1: that he's being all deep in demonology and like cool
- 18:58Speaker 1: by pulling the Pazzuzu. I think it's fucking complete bullshit
- 19:02Speaker 1: and ridiculous. You're just pulling from pop culture thinking you're cool.
- 19:06Speaker 1: So I'm going to call him Pazuzu because I think
- 19:08Speaker 1: it's fucking hilarious. You think you're cool, Actually you're just
- 19:12Speaker 1: you're not. You're an idiot. So I'm gonna call him
- 19:14Speaker 1: Pezuzi because I just think it's fucking funny. Okay, Yeah,
- 19:17Speaker 1: So Pazuzu began to take over his mother's house. His
- 19:22Speaker 1: mom would essentially be sequestered to a room in the
- 19:26Speaker 1: back of the house. Yeah, she basically just stuck to
- 19:29Speaker 1: this room while he ran rampant throughout the house and
- 19:33Speaker 1: whatever he wants.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Is he still like a teenager basically at this point.
- 19:37Speaker 1: At this point, No, he's he's dropped out of high school.
- 19:39Speaker 1: He's he's well, i'd say he's starting get into his
- 19:42Speaker 1: late teens.
- 19:42Speaker 2: I think, okay, yeah, wow.
- 19:45Speaker 1: But as we're going through this, some years do start
- 19:48Speaker 1: passing by to so okay, so he's probably started this
- 19:51Speaker 1: like in late teens, getting into his twenties, that sort
- 19:53Speaker 1: of thing. So the house actually became a safe haven
- 19:57Speaker 1: for a lot of people who are outcasts and fits,
- 20:01Speaker 1: not having anywhere to go, they would often go to
- 20:03Speaker 1: this house because things like drugs, alcohol parties, satanic worship,
- 20:09Speaker 1: and sex began to take over the place.
- 20:11Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, that's quite a visual.
- 20:14Speaker 1: Pazuzu even went as far as animal sacrifices in the backyard. No,
- 20:21Speaker 1: all the claims I found, they were generally, well, the
- 20:23Speaker 1: only claims I've found they were rabbits. But every time
- 20:26Speaker 1: someone talks about it, it's mostly rabbits, but no one
- 20:30Speaker 1: ever says anything about other animals.
- 20:32Speaker 2: I hate that.
- 20:34Speaker 1: So yeah, his mother did turn the blind eye to
- 20:37Speaker 1: a lot of this and just kind of kept to
- 20:38Speaker 1: her room and let little Johnny, mister Pazuzu do whatever
- 20:41Speaker 1: the fuck you want.
- 20:42Speaker 2: Wild right, he did so much control over that was
- 20:45Speaker 2: my kid.
- 20:45Speaker 1: I'd fucking slap him upside the head. I mean not
- 20:47Speaker 1: to say child abuse is a good thing, but if
- 20:50Speaker 1: your kid's fucking killing animals and having orgies and fucking
- 20:54Speaker 1: drugs and shit and trashing your house. Yeah, shit's gotta happen,
- 20:58Speaker 1: you know.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Yeah, it's almost he needs to be locked in his bedroom.
- 21:02Speaker 1: No shit, Now, she she just let it happen. She
- 21:05Speaker 1: did turn a blind eye to most of it. She
- 21:07Speaker 1: did try and stand up to him a couple times
- 21:09Speaker 1: over some of the things. Yeah, but he just basically like, well,
- 21:12Speaker 1: if I can't do this, I'm gonna kill myself.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Holy shit.
- 21:15Speaker 1: So what else is the mother to do?
- 21:16Speaker 2: No kidding? She doesn't want that to happen.
- 21:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Wow, she's like really in a shitty position here.
- 21:24Speaker 1: So Pazuzu, I just do want to say, Pazuzu is
- 21:27Speaker 1: the one who worships Satan. He had a Satan tattoo
- 21:29Speaker 1: across his forearm and claimed to be quote unquote the
- 21:31Speaker 1: gatekeeper of Hell. But I don't think many other people
- 21:35Speaker 1: who were drawn to the place, or his friends or
- 21:36Speaker 1: in his close circle necessarily were Satan worshippers. It was
- 21:41Speaker 1: just a place to party and be free, that sort of.
- 21:44Speaker 2: Thing where you could do whatever the hell you want. Apparently.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, Now at this point, Bazuzu had long dreadlocks
- 21:50Speaker 1: for hair. Oh wow, he was getting bad tattoos, like
- 21:53Speaker 1: a prison tattoo of Satan across his forearms type thing
- 21:57Speaker 1: like bad tattoos, not good quality tattoos.
- 21:59Speaker 2: Okay, so you just mean they were they were just
- 22:01Speaker 2: poorly done.
- 22:02Speaker 1: Oh yeah they were. Like he's probably like going down
- 22:05Speaker 1: to somebody's basement getting drunk and high getting tattooed. See them,
- 22:09Speaker 1: They're they're not pretty, They're they're tattoos. They're badly done.
- 22:13Speaker 1: But anyways, he would even go as far as to
- 22:16Speaker 1: sharpening his own teeth two points and he did this
- 22:20Speaker 1: one night himself while super fucking high on death using
- 22:26Speaker 1: a dremal.
- 22:27Speaker 2: Oh gosh, okay, yeah, yeah we went there, right, Yeah
- 22:31Speaker 2: we did. Wow. I just like can't even I just can't.
- 22:35Speaker 2: I just can't, like, I'm just a.
- 22:37Speaker 1: T shirt there we went there. I just can't even.
- 22:40Speaker 2: Like, I'm just like I touched my teeth. I was like,
- 22:42Speaker 2: oh my gosh, this is brutal.
- 22:44Speaker 1: Oh gosh, okay, okay, So leading onto him being a
- 22:49Speaker 1: smelly little child, he continue this practice as an adult.
- 22:54Speaker 1: He showered maybe once a year as he and rarely
- 22:58Speaker 1: brushed his teeth. He hasn't brushed his teeth in years.
- 23:01Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, He believed.
- 23:03Speaker 1: Filth and dirt made him stronger, because he said, like
- 23:06Speaker 1: people in the medieval times live filthy and they were strong.
- 23:10Speaker 1: He basically believed, like the bacteria is that I'm reading
- 23:14Speaker 1: between the lines here. He believed the bacteria is going
- 23:16Speaker 1: to build his immune system.
- 23:17Speaker 2: I'm thinking, but I mean, which, okay, I can kind
- 23:23Speaker 2: of understand ish, But it's like to a degree, he
- 23:26Speaker 2: can have more showers than once a year and still
- 23:28Speaker 2: have a good like a immune system.
- 23:31Speaker 1: Yeah, and we're going to touch on the house here.
- 23:32Speaker 1: The kind of filth he was living in. This is
- 23:34Speaker 1: excessive and in the medieval times, the average lifespan was
- 23:40Speaker 1: thirty three years old because of all the fucking filth
- 23:42Speaker 1: and shit, Like, what.
- 23:44Speaker 2: The fuck do you feel better about me having showers
- 23:47Speaker 2: every second day? Now?
- 23:48Speaker 1: Yeah, your hair doesn't sound so greasy. I get greasy
- 23:52Speaker 1: his fuck hair. I got a shower literally every day.
- 23:54Speaker 2: I bet the majority of females listening to this do
- 23:58Speaker 2: not have a shower to wash their hair. I bet
- 24:01Speaker 2: you it's like every second, because I've even had friends
- 24:03Speaker 2: with like three four days they wash their hair.
- 24:05Speaker 1: That's nasty, but.
- 24:06Speaker 2: That's just it. Like, Okay, if I have a shower
- 24:09Speaker 2: every day. My hair gets like damaged. It's bad for it.
- 24:12Speaker 1: So maybe I just have luscious locks in because I
- 24:15Speaker 1: can shower.
- 24:16Speaker 2: Like nasty, greasy mofo.
- 24:18Speaker 1: Maybe I'm a greasy mofo. That could be it. I
- 24:21Speaker 1: don't know, but I can understand showering every second day.
- 24:25Speaker 1: I just give you a hard time. But like showering
- 24:27Speaker 1: once a once a year.
- 24:28Speaker 2: That's a problem. I even think like, oh no, yeah,
- 24:32Speaker 2: that's just a problem. It's just a problem.
- 24:34Speaker 1: Well, let's get into the conditions he lived in on
- 24:38Speaker 1: top of not showering.
- 24:39Speaker 2: I don't know, I want to know, but okay, like.
- 24:42Speaker 1: The house literally became something that was worse than you
- 24:44Speaker 1: can imagine on the worst episode of parters. Really, let's
- 24:47Speaker 1: just throw that out there. There was trash, drug paraphernalia
- 24:52Speaker 1: all over, Like I'm talking grime in this house. It
- 24:58Speaker 1: got to the point where people were partying and would
- 25:00Speaker 1: just piss in the corner on the floor.
- 25:03Speaker 2: Oh, that's so disrespectful.
- 25:05Speaker 1: And even just they're drunk enough they just don't want
- 25:08Speaker 1: to go to the bathroom or whatever. They would just
- 25:10Speaker 1: shit on the floor.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Seriously, Yeah, they're.
- 25:14Speaker 1: Just shit in the corner of the room or.
- 25:16Speaker 2: Something that's freaking disgusting.
- 25:18Speaker 1: And it probably would never get cleaned up. If it did,
- 25:21Speaker 1: it would take who knows how long. Oh, so you
- 25:25Speaker 1: can imagine like nothing's getting cleaned, nothing's getting white. People
- 25:29Speaker 1: are spray painting on walls, drawing on walls, just trash everywhere,
- 25:33Speaker 1: food rotting. Like we're talking filth, the filthiest of fucking filth.
- 25:40Speaker 2: My heart just like almost sinks for his mom in
- 25:42Speaker 2: a way.
- 25:42Speaker 1: But your heart's really gonna sink here because there was
- 25:46Speaker 1: also a total of eight dogs living in the house,
- 25:48Speaker 1: no of which I'm sure not being cared for and
- 25:52Speaker 1: are only adding to the smells and the excrement in
- 25:56Speaker 1: the house.
- 25:56Speaker 2: Well yeah, so yeah, I hope they got food and
- 26:02Speaker 2: were fed.
- 26:03Speaker 1: Well, I can't speak to much of that, but we
- 26:05Speaker 1: will touch on the dogs at the end of this
- 26:07Speaker 1: as well, because can't just drop that and not tell
- 26:12Speaker 1: you what happens to the dogs. Okay, So, through all
- 26:16Speaker 1: this though, the house was a draw to people, people
- 26:19Speaker 1: who are misfits. Pazusu even have managed to have multiple
- 26:23Speaker 1: quote unquote fiances at his side. The house is a
- 26:29Speaker 1: safe place for people who had no one. There's nowhere
- 26:31Speaker 1: to go. They go there, they're free of judgment. No
- 26:34Speaker 1: one was demanding things of them. You could go there
- 26:38Speaker 1: and you were literally free to do what you wanted.
- 26:41Speaker 1: There's even quotes in this documentary that I talked about
- 26:43Speaker 1: the devil, you know on Vice TV of you can
- 26:46Speaker 1: just smash a beer bottle over the top of your
- 26:48Speaker 1: friend's head and no one would be deny.
- 26:52Speaker 2: I feel like there's much better places to go because
- 26:55Speaker 2: this week just sounds so nasty.
- 26:57Speaker 1: I agree. But the town they're in, Winston Salem in
- 27:02Speaker 1: North Carolina, is filled with church goers. Though it's in
- 27:06Speaker 1: the Bible belt of the Southern States. Well, I guess
- 27:08Speaker 1: it's not the Southern States, but it's Mid States. I
- 27:10Speaker 1: guess somewhere in there. It's filled with church goers. So
- 27:15Speaker 1: if you're an outsider in a church town, where do
- 27:19Speaker 1: you have to go to feel accepted in any way
- 27:22Speaker 1: of your life?
- 27:23Speaker 2: I guess?
- 27:24Speaker 1: And you hear of this house down the street where
- 27:26Speaker 1: you can go and be judge free.
- 27:28Speaker 2: Yeah, but it just sounds so disgusting. I mean, maybe
- 27:32Speaker 2: the backyard was better. To just hang outside.
- 27:35Speaker 1: The backyard was not better? Oh okay, well get into
- 27:39Speaker 1: why shortly? Now, imagine though, being in this church town
- 27:44Speaker 1: and hearing about this house filled with people doing drugs
- 27:48Speaker 1: and sex and being run by this tattooed guy who
- 27:51Speaker 1: filed his teeth down to fangs.
- 27:52Speaker 2: Oh yeah, no kidding.
- 27:54Speaker 1: The town was literally in fear of Pazuzu, and that
- 27:57Speaker 1: was fear that he fed on.
- 27:59Speaker 2: Right.
- 28:00Speaker 1: I loved that even Actually I meant to look this
- 28:03Speaker 1: up a specific name on the headwear, but I forgot
- 28:05Speaker 1: to just until now. But even after nine to eleven,
- 28:09Speaker 1: Pazuzi went as far as wearing headdresses. I don't want
- 28:12Speaker 1: to say turbans, because I don't think it was specifically turbans,
- 28:15Speaker 1: but he was wearing headdresses and stuff specifically to strike
- 28:18Speaker 1: that sort of fear into the locals. Really, yes, especially
- 28:22Speaker 1: considering he claimed that he was this freaking high priest's
- 28:26Speaker 1: son from Arabic from the Arabic area.
- 28:29Speaker 2: Sorry, huh, I'm just so surprised. I just don't feel
- 28:33Speaker 2: like he's someone that I would fear at all.
- 28:35Speaker 1: But well, anyways, I'm not.
- 28:38Speaker 2: In that position, so you can't really say that.
- 28:40Speaker 1: So that's kind of Pizuzu as of this state. This
- 28:44Speaker 1: brings us to another story of Josh Wetzler. Josh and
- 28:48Speaker 1: his partner Stacey, met in nineteen ninety nine. He was
- 28:51Speaker 1: twenty two and she was twenty five. First off, ye
- 28:54Speaker 1: go Josh getting the older lady. Yeah yeahah three years well,
- 28:58Speaker 1: I mean yeah, but he still getting the old lady
- 29:00Speaker 1: at twenty at twenty two, he's with a twenty five
- 29:02Speaker 1: year old I mean yeah, go Josh. Anyways, together they
- 29:08Speaker 1: shared the love of animals. Josh was outgoing, He had
- 29:11Speaker 1: a warm and kind heart and was the kind of
- 29:13Speaker 1: person who had never turned away a stray dog. Together,
- 29:16Speaker 1: they got a van and spend a lot of their
- 29:18Speaker 1: time traveling across the country and spent their time in
- 29:20Speaker 1: the outdoors.
- 29:21Speaker 2: Nice.
- 29:22Speaker 1: Josh and Stacy both had an affinity for horses, and
- 29:25Speaker 1: the dream was to have a farm together where they
- 29:27Speaker 1: could train and rehabilitate horses.
- 29:30Speaker 2: Nice.
- 29:30Speaker 1: Okay, So they did just that. They bought land for
- 29:34Speaker 1: the dream and it took off with a little one
- 29:37Speaker 1: on the way. Yeah. So the starting little family and
- 29:40Speaker 1: the dream property. Perfect. Yeah. Now, However, like so many
- 29:44Speaker 1: people around the globe, Josh and Stacey got caught up
- 29:47Speaker 1: in the Great Recession in two thousand and seven to
- 29:49Speaker 1: two thousand and nine. Okay, so In two thousand and eight,
- 29:53Speaker 1: their agreement with a bank backfired and they lost their
- 29:56Speaker 1: dream that they worked so hard to achieve.
- 29:58Speaker 2: Dang.
- 30:00Speaker 1: Their farm was foreclosed and Stacy took odd jobs working
- 30:03Speaker 1: on other farms, and Josh began seeking other means of
- 30:06Speaker 1: coping with his depression. He began recreationally smoking weed and
- 30:12Speaker 1: occasionally consuming mushrooms. Okay, Now, Stacy didn't necessarily morally disagree
- 30:18Speaker 1: with this. However, she didn't want their newborn son growing
- 30:23Speaker 1: up in a house with substance use like this. Okay, Yeah,
- 30:26Speaker 1: So Josh ended up moving into a trailer away from
- 30:29Speaker 1: Stacy while they sorted things out. The love between them
- 30:32Speaker 1: was still there. They still had a great relationship. It
- 30:35Speaker 1: was just hard times that they fell on and they
- 30:36Speaker 1: needed to work through everything. So Josh was going through
- 30:41Speaker 1: some serious strength let's just paint this picture here. He
- 30:43Speaker 1: lost his house, he lost his dream farm. I mean,
- 30:48Speaker 1: he didn't lose them yet, but he's currently separated from
- 30:51Speaker 1: his dream not wife, they weren't married yet, but his
- 30:55Speaker 1: dream wife and son. Yeah, so drugs became his only
- 31:01Speaker 1: means of escape. Though he didn't escalate to harder drug use,
- 31:05Speaker 1: He's still it was still enough to make his darker
- 31:08Speaker 1: times even darker.
- 31:10Speaker 2: That's not going to help the situation at all.
- 31:12Speaker 1: No, So Josh ordered mushrooms through a mail order. I
- 31:17Speaker 1: don't know if it was online or what, but he
- 31:19Speaker 1: ordered ordered them through the mail.
- 31:21Speaker 2: Is that something you can do?
- 31:22Speaker 1: Apparently it is, or at least was, and Josh was
- 31:25Speaker 1: actually quickly arrested on February twenty third, two thousand and nine,
- 31:28Speaker 1: for felony charges of the drug trafficking. His face was
- 31:32Speaker 1: plastered front prey front page of their small town newspaper,
- 31:36Speaker 1: and getting a job became basically an impossible feat. He
- 31:42Speaker 1: was kinda screwed. He had nowhere to turn, so through
- 31:45Speaker 1: his drug use and his outgoing personality, he found himself
- 31:50Speaker 1: in a similar circle with the same people as Pazuzu
- 31:54Speaker 1: algarad oh Man.
- 31:56Speaker 2: When you first started telling the story of them, I
- 31:58Speaker 2: was like this away, that this could be connected. I
- 32:01Speaker 2: thought they were gonna be the ones that like save
- 32:02Speaker 2: the dogs.
- 32:03Speaker 1: Nope, but no, No, Josh is on hard times and he.
- 32:07Speaker 2: Just smash my dreams there.
- 32:09Speaker 1: Yeah. So last time Stacy saw Josh was in July
- 32:15Speaker 1: of two thousand and nine, after a heartwarming pizza cookoat
- 32:17Speaker 1: actually okay. Then after that nothing he disappeared. Now Stacy
- 32:24Speaker 1: assumed it was because he was avoiding like the law
- 32:26Speaker 1: and his parole officer. Right like Josh had fallen hard time.
- 32:30Speaker 1: She didn't want to make things wor worse for him,
- 32:32Speaker 1: so she didn't report him missing, didn't say anything to
- 32:34Speaker 1: the authorities, just kind of like, he'll turn up eventually.
- 32:37Speaker 1: He'll contact me when he's ready, when whatever he's going
- 32:40Speaker 1: through is sorted out. So seven months had passed without
- 32:43Speaker 1: hearing from Josh, and then his mom's birthday came and
- 32:48Speaker 1: he didn't call her, which was not like Josh.
- 32:52Speaker 2: They're patient definitely, yeah, like and some like super patient.
- 32:58Speaker 1: Right waiting seven months, like letting him get his.
- 33:00Speaker 2: Shit together, Like I don't think I wait like a day.
- 33:03Speaker 2: I'd be like, get your shit together now, Ben.
- 33:05Speaker 1: Thanks, love you too, babe. I appreciate the moral support for,
- 33:10Speaker 1: you know, a situation that doesn't even exist. Wow, God,
- 33:15Speaker 1: good to know you have my back.
- 33:16Speaker 2: I do have your back, But I just don't know
- 33:18Speaker 2: if i'd let you like just be gone for seven
- 33:21Speaker 2: months just like oh he's fine, Like I.
- 33:23Speaker 1: Don't know, well, seven months, one day whatever. Something was
- 33:28Speaker 1: clearly up though, he didn't call his mom on on
- 33:30Speaker 1: her birthday. That's not normal. So February fifteenth, twenty ten,
- 33:34Speaker 1: Stacy phoned the police and reported Josh missing. However, police
- 33:38Speaker 1: kind of already knew that Josh was missing, because shortly
- 33:41Speaker 1: after his disappearance seven months ago, police found his car
- 33:45Speaker 1: parked in a parking lot with the keys still in
- 33:47Speaker 1: the ignition. But they did nothing. I mean, they didn't
- 33:51Speaker 1: call Stacy, his mom nothing.
- 33:54Speaker 2: Okay, that seems really odd, right.
- 33:56Speaker 1: There's oh, yeah, we his car was found and that
- 33:59Speaker 1: was it.
- 34:00Speaker 2: Good lord, someone finds my cars with the key in
- 34:02Speaker 2: there and please send help.
- 34:04Speaker 1: Well the problem here though, I mean it was basically,
- 34:07Speaker 1: Josh is a.
- 34:08Speaker 2: Felon, right, I guess he hit the reputation.
- 34:11Speaker 1: Yeah, so why would the police really care to look
- 34:12Speaker 1: for a felon? He's probably just off the run, Like,
- 34:15Speaker 1: who cares? Why waste the resources? I mean that's not
- 34:19Speaker 1: something the police are saying. But I mean that's definitely the.
- 34:21Speaker 2: The they had.
- 34:23Speaker 1: Yeah, where like you say, if it was you, just
- 34:26Speaker 1: a regular citizen whose car was found, I'm sure they
- 34:28Speaker 1: would have been all over it, which.
- 34:31Speaker 2: Is kind of sad. And I don't know, I don't know, Okay,
- 34:34Speaker 2: keep going.
- 34:35Speaker 1: Well, it gets to a little bit of a debate
- 34:36Speaker 1: here throughout the documentary in a lot of like online forums, whereas, okay,
- 34:42Speaker 1: we're going to get into some of the more Pezuzu's
- 34:44Speaker 1: darker stuff that he gets going here. Yeah, but they
- 34:48Speaker 1: basically don't even bother looking into anything Pezuzu does. But
- 34:54Speaker 1: like Josh was just on hard times with drugs and
- 34:57Speaker 1: he's slammed with like a felon and he can't get
- 34:59Speaker 1: a job or flamed with felony, can't get a job
- 35:02Speaker 1: and all this sort of stuff, and he's just like
- 35:04Speaker 1: hit so hard, whereas someone like Pazzuzu, we'll find all
- 35:07Speaker 1: the stuff he does is just left to run rampant. Okay, weird,
- 35:13Speaker 1: it's kind of a broken system situation.
- 35:14Speaker 2: Here, no kidding, Okay, So.
- 35:18Speaker 1: John has been missing for seven Josh sorry, has been
- 35:20Speaker 1: missing for seven months. And shortly after he's reported missing,
- 35:24Speaker 1: there's a party at Pezuzu's house and after the party,
- 35:28Speaker 1: two women were driving home. One of them mentioned in
- 35:31Speaker 1: passing about Pazzuzu bragging he had killed a guy and
- 35:36Speaker 1: though no one took it seriously, and she's like, yeah,
- 35:38Speaker 1: I guess the guy's name was apparently Josh. Really well,
- 35:42Speaker 1: the other woman in the car just so happened to
- 35:44Speaker 1: be friends with Stacy. No, and they're in that car
- 35:48Speaker 1: at three am. There is that aha moment that you're having.
- 35:51Speaker 2: No, seriously, he died, he's actually dead.
- 35:55Speaker 1: Well, this is where thes the mystery of Josh begins
- 35:58Speaker 1: to unravel.
- 36:00Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, she had such a bright future at
- 36:02Speaker 2: the beginning. Dang it, dang it, dang it.
- 36:05Speaker 1: You good.
- 36:06Speaker 2: I'm okay, You're okay, I'm okay.
- 36:11Speaker 1: So this wasn't the first time Pazzoo bragged, though by
- 36:14Speaker 1: this time there were multiple people who had conversations with
- 36:16Speaker 1: Pazuzu with other people about Pazuzu holding someone in his
- 36:22Speaker 1: basement for days and eventually killing them geez. And there
- 36:26Speaker 1: was even multiple reports to police of a body bury
- 36:30Speaker 1: being buried in the backyard of that residence. Hence why
- 36:34Speaker 1: I don't think the backyard is any place to chill out,
- 36:36Speaker 1: like you were saying, the.
- 36:37Speaker 2: Light bulb just went off, Okay, I did not expect
- 36:39Speaker 2: just because there's dead bodies, and even though.
- 36:42Speaker 1: There were multiple multiple reports, police did nothing.
- 36:46Speaker 2: My blood is boiling right now. I'm mad, I'm upset.
- 36:49Speaker 1: Here the police pissed me off in this case, to
- 36:52Speaker 1: say the least.
- 36:53Speaker 2: Uh.
- 36:54Speaker 1: They did, finally, though, after multiple reports, finally execute a
- 36:58Speaker 1: search warrant on pazzus Who's home. On February twenty third,
- 37:03Speaker 1: twenty ten. Police knocked on the door. Police answered, Orry
- 37:07Speaker 1: Pezuzu answered, and the police explained the warrant and they
- 37:10Speaker 1: wanted to its property. They apparently brought in cadaver dogs
- 37:13Speaker 1: searched the premise and came up empty handed.
- 37:18Speaker 2: Really, yep, that's shocking. Unless he knew this was going
- 37:22Speaker 2: to happen, So.
- 37:23Speaker 1: Rumors continued to spread amongst a group of friends and followers,
- 37:27Speaker 1: and of course the town. Then a few months later,
- 37:30Speaker 1: in June of twenty ten, Pazuzu took the life of
- 37:34Speaker 1: someone else. Thirty year old Joseph Chandler was a legally
- 37:38Speaker 1: blind man who was walking his regular route to go
- 37:41Speaker 1: to the store when Pezuzu and his friend Nicholas Rizzi,
- 37:44Speaker 1: I think is how you say his name is? Rizzy
- 37:47Speaker 1: began a conversation with Joseph. Now it's unknown why, but
- 37:52Speaker 1: Joseph got in the car with the two men and
- 37:54Speaker 1: proceeded to drive, and they proceeded to drive him to
- 37:57Speaker 1: Yadkin River, North Carolina. At the water's edge, Nicholas tried
- 38:02Speaker 1: to shoot Joseph in the head with a shotgun. However,
- 38:06Speaker 1: it jammed, so he went back to the car, grabbed
- 38:10Speaker 1: a different gun, walked up to Joseph and shot him
- 38:13Speaker 1: in the head before he was even able to light
- 38:15Speaker 1: his own cigarette.
- 38:17Speaker 2: Like they shot the man that was blind? Yes, like
- 38:21Speaker 2: why that is just.
- 38:21Speaker 1: Like not okay, No, just someone they don't even know.
- 38:24Speaker 1: They just had a conversation with, brought him in their car,
- 38:28Speaker 1: drove him off to a river, popped him in the head,
- 38:31Speaker 1: not even just shot him in the head. They tried
- 38:33Speaker 1: to shoot him in the head, the gun was faulty.
- 38:35Speaker 1: They grabbed a different gun and then shot him.
- 38:38Speaker 2: They did he know what was going on? I wonder?
- 38:40Speaker 1: I don't think so.
- 38:41Speaker 2: Oh, for the love of God, these people are just
- 38:43Speaker 2: pieces of shit.
- 38:45Speaker 1: Yeah, so from this, Nicholas Rizzi or Rizzy, how are
- 38:49Speaker 1: you the fuck you say his name? Pleaded guilty to
- 38:53Speaker 1: involuntary manslaughter, not murder, not like fucking premeditated first murdered.
- 39:00Speaker 1: That it should be because remember he walked back to
- 39:02Speaker 1: the car, grabbed a differnt gun, and then went over
- 39:05Speaker 1: and shot him. So he pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter
- 39:09Speaker 1: and was sentenced to thirteen months in pre.
- 39:12Speaker 2: Wow wow wow wow bullshit.
- 39:17Speaker 1: Yeah, your your blood's gonna boil here on this one.
- 39:20Speaker 2: It already is. Man, I need another rice, coffee.
- 39:23Speaker 1: Maybe a bottle of wine.
- 39:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 39:25Speaker 1: Pazuzu, on the other hand, had to go undergo psychiatric
- 39:29Speaker 1: evaluation before sending trial. He was found competent to do so,
- 39:33Speaker 1: but psychiatrists who who interviewed him said that he was schizophrenic,
- 39:37Speaker 1: agoraphobic and had severe alcoholism.
- 39:41Speaker 2: Well, yeah, that we already know. There was some serious.
- 39:43Speaker 1: Stuff messed up with and the full psychiatric report was
- 39:46Speaker 1: actually accidentally leaked to the public, so the police, the psychiatrist, everyone,
- 39:53Speaker 1: It shows what they already know about him. They already
- 39:56Speaker 1: know his mental state all going back from him being
- 39:59Speaker 1: put in to mental institutions at the age of eight,
- 40:03Speaker 1: having substance abuse from thirteen when his mum was buying
- 40:06Speaker 1: a beer and everything his whole history, and the police
- 40:09Speaker 1: have known this like he needed help, yeah, and they
- 40:13Speaker 1: haven't done anything and are going to continue to do
- 40:16Speaker 1: nothing because he was only charged with accessory after the
- 40:19Speaker 1: fact of involuntary manslaughter where he received five years probation,
- 40:26Speaker 1: didn't even see jail time. Wow, just a slap on
- 40:28Speaker 1: the wrist for premeditation of killing someone or at least,
- 40:33Speaker 1: I mean guess being an accomplice of it.
- 40:35Speaker 2: Keep it, Does Josh come up again? Or no?
- 40:37Speaker 1: Yes?
- 40:37Speaker 2: Okay, good because I'm like, I'm not done with that yet.
- 40:39Speaker 1: No, We've got this is while we are talking about Pezuzu.
- 40:43Speaker 1: This is Josh's story predominantly. Okay, So the probation didn't
- 40:49Speaker 1: really change Pezuzu's attitude. He just tried to convince his
- 40:54Speaker 1: friends and stuff to do more drugs and sex and everything.
- 40:57Speaker 1: And at one party, he actually tried to convince his
- 41:00Speaker 1: one specific friend, Matt Flowers, who was in the documentary,
- 41:03Speaker 1: to murder some other dude that was at the party.
- 41:05Speaker 1: He just wanted to just up and kill this dude.
- 41:07Speaker 2: Wow. I thought this place was a safe place supposed
- 41:10Speaker 2: to be. It's not safe to go there.
- 41:12Speaker 1: It's safe of judgment, so you can do whatever the
- 41:15Speaker 1: fuck you want.
- 41:16Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, oh my gosh.
- 41:19Speaker 1: Matt thankfully is a pretty good guy. He's ex military,
- 41:23Speaker 1: fairly respectable. He took this guy out of the house
- 41:26Speaker 1: and told him He's like, you got to get out
- 41:27Speaker 1: of here. PEZZUZI wants me to kill you.
- 41:29Speaker 2: Yeah, get the fuck out.
- 41:31Speaker 1: So that's last time Matt said he ever saw that guy.
- 41:35Speaker 2: He was gone, oh, good, good, good good.
- 41:37Speaker 1: I like this, So props to Matt right there. Now,
- 41:42Speaker 1: Matt had previously reported Pazuzu and his stories of the
- 41:45Speaker 1: body in the backyard. But like I said, they executed
- 41:50Speaker 1: a search warrant. I think it's really done, didn't find anything,
- 41:52Speaker 1: blah blahlah blah, and more and more report to still
- 41:55Speaker 1: pouring in over the years. And this is a few
- 41:57Speaker 1: years later down the road. This is happening now. So
- 42:02Speaker 1: Matt he's like, we got to get through the authority.
- 42:04Speaker 1: So he goes in, and him being ex military, actually
- 42:08Speaker 1: had some weight. He specifically talked to investigators and they
- 42:12Speaker 1: were like, holy shit, like we have an ex military
- 42:14Speaker 1: guy here, like someone who's fairly respectable, someone who might
- 42:18Speaker 1: have some rapport, Like, we got to listen to this.
- 42:21Speaker 1: So another search warrant was executed on October of twenty fourteen,
- 42:26Speaker 1: and this time they found what they were looking for.
- 42:30Speaker 2: A body in the backyard. How the heck would it got? Okay, sorry,
- 42:34Speaker 2: I'll let you keep going.
- 42:37Speaker 1: By the fire pit. In the backyard, they found a
- 42:40Speaker 1: shallow grave with one body and another second grave near
- 42:44Speaker 1: the corner of the house.
- 42:46Speaker 2: How did he get missed that first time?
- 42:48Speaker 1: Then? I don't know.
- 42:49Speaker 2: I'm so confused.
- 42:51Speaker 1: It could have been maybe just because the overwhelming stench.
- 42:54Speaker 1: Investigators say, the moment you're like in the porch, you
- 42:56Speaker 1: are just hit with ammonia and piss. It just Greek.
- 43:01Speaker 1: So I mean, it could have been that just rank smell.
- 43:04Speaker 1: Could have been throwing the cadaver dogs off the house itself,
- 43:07Speaker 1: fucking smells of death. Anyways, I don't know.
- 43:10Speaker 2: True, that's interesting though, That's so interesting.
- 43:14Speaker 1: Yeah, So I didn't go into a lot on what
- 43:19Speaker 1: they did to Josh because I just I feel bad
- 43:23Speaker 1: for Josh a lot. Yeah, some of the stuff he
- 43:26Speaker 1: endured was being locked up in the basement for multiple days.
- 43:29Speaker 1: Holy shit, he was starved for that whole time. He
- 43:33Speaker 1: was eventually shot multiple times. He was left rotting in
- 43:38Speaker 1: the basement for a while while Pezuzu covered his body
- 43:41Speaker 1: in cat litter and bleached to oh like when he
- 43:44Speaker 1: was dead, when he was dead, to just cover up
- 43:46Speaker 1: the smell. He was eventually dismembered and buried in the backyard.
- 43:54Speaker 2: Oh okay, that's a lot, yeah, I yeah, this is
- 44:00Speaker 2: why we need to probably film some of our podcasts.
- 44:02Speaker 2: As my reaction is, I don't even know what to
- 44:04Speaker 2: say about. What the fuck?
- 44:06Speaker 1: So Josh was one of the bodies found. One of
- 44:09Speaker 1: the other remains belonged to a man named Tommy Welsh.
- 44:13Speaker 1: Tommy was a working class family man who is struggling
- 44:15Speaker 1: to do his best, and it disappeared three months after
- 44:19Speaker 1: Josh was last seen. He was walking to meet up
- 44:23Speaker 1: with his brother and somewhere along the road he met
- 44:25Speaker 1: up with Pezuzu in one of his fiances, Amber Birch,
- 44:29Speaker 1: and just like that he was gone.
- 44:33Speaker 2: So then it's like he just likes killing people. Really,
- 44:36Speaker 2: some of these things, like two of them are just
- 44:39Speaker 2: these people are just it's like almost you're in the
- 44:41Speaker 2: wrong place at the wrong time.
- 44:42Speaker 1: It's ray. He just he liked death. He liked killing.
- 44:46Speaker 1: He tried to convince a lot of people to do
- 44:48Speaker 1: killing for him, and he roped a lot of people
- 44:51Speaker 1: to be part of things like burying the bodies, for example,
- 44:54Speaker 1: digging matt are I don't think it was mad. It
- 44:57Speaker 1: was another one in the documentary, another one of Pezusu's
- 45:00Speaker 1: friends said he was there and like no one's taking
- 45:03Speaker 1: seriously about him, saying he killed someone or anything. Yeah,
- 45:06Speaker 1: but he's like yeah, He's like he had me at
- 45:08Speaker 1: like knife point at one point he's like, you're gonna
- 45:10Speaker 1: help me bury this hole or dig this hole, I'm
- 45:12Speaker 1: gonna kill you. He's like, I don't know what the
- 45:13Speaker 1: hole was for. He just made me dig a hole
- 45:15Speaker 1: with them.
- 45:16Speaker 2: Oh no, I can't believe that this, Like he just
- 45:20Speaker 2: is like the epitome of a piece of shit.
- 45:22Speaker 1: Yes, and like fucking trash.
- 45:24Speaker 2: Getting away with all this disgusting stuff as he's boy
- 45:29Speaker 2: in my mind.
- 45:29Speaker 1: But this is the one part where I think he's
- 45:31Speaker 1: smart because he's really playing the town against him, building
- 45:34Speaker 1: that fear. Right, anyone who does come to his house
- 45:37Speaker 1: trying to escape the religious view or the harsh aspects
- 45:42Speaker 1: on their lifestyle, they're coming to him. They already have that.
- 45:45Speaker 1: They know the town's fearful of this guy. And then
- 45:48Speaker 1: he's being nice to them, nice and nice to them.
- 45:50Speaker 1: But when it comes time he needs something like helping
- 45:53Speaker 1: bury you fucking body. Yep, you are fearful of him,
- 45:56Speaker 1: and you're going to listen and now you're an accomplice
- 45:58Speaker 1: and you're not gonna talk. Holy So he's really good
- 46:03Speaker 1: with that little manipulation tactic. I think, yeah, though it's
- 46:07Speaker 1: not a good smart but he played his fucking asshole
- 46:12Speaker 1: trash hands to his advantage. Yes, no kidding, Okay, now
- 46:19Speaker 1: where am I at here? Okay? So Pazuzu at the
- 46:23Speaker 1: time was thirty five and Amber Birch was then twenty four.
- 46:27Speaker 1: They were each charged with one count of murder and
- 46:29Speaker 1: one count of accessory after the fact of murder. A
- 46:33Speaker 1: third person, Crystal Mattlocke, which was another one of Pezuzu's fiances,
- 46:37Speaker 1: which charged in connection with the death of one person
- 46:40Speaker 1: whose body was found at the Clements house. She was
- 46:43Speaker 1: accused of Clement's house. Why do I have that name
- 46:48Speaker 1: in there? Must have been a last name or something
- 46:51Speaker 1: from an article that I missed it. But it was
- 46:53Speaker 1: Pazuzu's house. Maybe that's Cynthia's last name. I think I'm
- 46:56Speaker 1: just forgetting. Anyways, it was Pezuzu's residence. I think got
- 47:00Speaker 1: Cynthia's last name. Anyways, she was accused of helping bury
- 47:07Speaker 1: one of the bodies the fiance. One of the fiances yeap.
- 47:10Speaker 2: Did she more than one at a time.
- 47:12Speaker 1: Yeah, he had like four or five fiances.
- 47:14Speaker 2: Oh gosh, I almost feel like I could just volmit,
- 47:18Speaker 2: he's just wait to you, like.
- 47:20Speaker 1: Look at this guy.
- 47:21Speaker 2: Oh, I don't know if I discussed it.
- 47:24Speaker 1: So. Amber was charged and sentenced in twenty seventeen to
- 47:28Speaker 1: a total of thirty years and eight months to thirty
- 47:32Speaker 1: nine years and two months in prison. Good Crystal. Matt Locke,
- 47:36Speaker 1: who is basically just helped bury a body, right, was
- 47:40Speaker 1: charged and sentenced in twenty seventeen to between two to
- 47:43Speaker 1: sorry three to five years in prison.
- 47:46Speaker 2: That's not very much.
- 47:48Speaker 1: I mean, she didn't kill anyone. She was just kind
- 47:50Speaker 1: of accessory, helped burr your body. It's not a good
- 47:53Speaker 1: thing to do.
- 47:53Speaker 2: Still, she probably did more shit.
- 47:55Speaker 1: Than we now probably Opah Zuzu. There's his one friend,
- 47:59Speaker 1: Matt Flower on there. He's like, Pazuzu was killed more
- 48:02Speaker 1: than the two bodies. Oh yeah, He's like, I'm pretty
- 48:05Speaker 1: sure the bodies his body count is upwards of like fifteen.
- 48:08Speaker 2: Serious.
- 48:09Speaker 1: He's like, he's probably killed like fifteen sixteen people.
- 48:11Speaker 2: Oh.
- 48:14Speaker 1: Pazuzu was due to appear in court on October twenty fifteen.
- 48:18Speaker 1: A year after the bodies were found, when he was
- 48:21Speaker 1: discovered in his cell on responsive he took his own life.
- 48:27Speaker 2: Good. I don't know if he would be happy about that,
- 48:31Speaker 2: but I was like, okay.
- 48:33Speaker 1: Plause maybe yay golf plap. Due to his mental health,
- 48:39Speaker 1: he was supposed to be on suicide watch but was somehow,
- 48:42Speaker 1: but somehow, he managed to still go through with his suicide.
- 48:46Speaker 1: He was found with a substantial wound on the inside
- 48:49Speaker 1: of his elbow down to the artery, which led him
- 48:52Speaker 1: to bleeding out. Now, this is one part that's up
- 48:57Speaker 1: for speculation. Now, there were no reports, it's available which
- 49:01Speaker 1: on what caused the injury to help him commit suicide. Okay,
- 49:04Speaker 1: there were no instruments in there that could really help
- 49:07Speaker 1: him with the injury, and like, why the fuck was
- 49:10Speaker 1: he not being watched like sphosty Right, the only real
- 49:13Speaker 1: tool that he probably had was an electric razor, which
- 49:17Speaker 1: even still, it's like, you're not gonna be able to
- 49:19Speaker 1: cut down your yeah with that, Like there's no fucking
- 49:21Speaker 1: way even if you take the guard off, take that
- 49:23Speaker 1: metal plate off, like just.
- 49:24Speaker 2: No, oh, so he might have been murdered.
- 49:28Speaker 1: Uh No, that's not what people mostly think. Ready, for this.
- 49:35Speaker 2: I don't know. I also have something to say, but
- 49:36Speaker 2: I'll wait, I'm waiting.
- 49:38Speaker 1: I'll go ahead say it.
- 49:39Speaker 2: No, go ahead, okay.
- 49:41Speaker 1: The common assumption was that he used something sharp that
- 49:44Speaker 1: he already had, his tooth. He used his sharpened teeth
- 49:49Speaker 1: to bite and chew down to his artery to kill himself.
- 49:55Speaker 1: Oh no, yeah, I'm just gonna leave that visual sit
- 49:57Speaker 1: there for a second. Just let that step Oh no.
- 50:00Speaker 2: Okay, okay, So just wait what I was gonna say.
- 50:05Speaker 2: It's like I'm not happy he killed himself, and it's
- 50:07Speaker 2: because he had mental health issues, which is like terrible
- 50:10Speaker 2: and like he really needed help and I feel like
- 50:12Speaker 2: deeply sorry for that. But he also was like a
- 50:15Speaker 2: terrible person. Oh yes, like a terrible person and in
- 50:18Speaker 2: a sense needed to die.
- 50:20Speaker 1: Oh yeah. It's it's a combination of he had some
- 50:23Speaker 1: serious mental issues, yeah, and he's just straight up fucking trash.
- 50:27Speaker 2: But I just need to say, like I do think
- 50:29Speaker 2: mental health is like a serious thing, and like he
- 50:31Speaker 2: did need help, and I do feel like deeply sorry
- 50:34Speaker 2: for that, but like he's gross, like because he just
- 50:39Speaker 2: did too many bad things to just like yesh.
- 50:43Speaker 1: Like he he has been on medication, but he's still
- 50:46Speaker 1: he just he just wants to kill people. Yeah, it's
- 50:48Speaker 1: not like he's like I have like voices in my
- 50:51Speaker 1: head telling me to kill people. He's like, I want that.
- 50:54Speaker 2: Peron Also I think is an evil person, yes for sure,
- 50:57Speaker 2: so holy So he's just in his cell like gnawn
- 51:00Speaker 2: down this freaking arm.
- 51:01Speaker 1: So that's why a lot of people say, like his
- 51:03Speaker 1: mom failed him, because I mean that mental health thing
- 51:06Speaker 1: that you're saying, she could have maybe helped prevent it,
- 51:08Speaker 1: could have gotten.
- 51:09Speaker 2: At earlier age.
- 51:10Speaker 1: She might have helped this trash person aside from this
- 51:13Speaker 1: mental health grow into who he was. Yeah, the police
- 51:16Speaker 1: system fucking failed him because they knew of his fucking
- 51:19Speaker 1: mental health is psychiatric. Everything, nothing was ever done. It
- 51:24Speaker 1: was left for him to grow into the fucking shit
- 51:28Speaker 1: person he is.
- 51:29Speaker 2: Because imagine, at like eight years old, if he was, say,
- 51:32Speaker 2: admitted into somewhere that could help him, Like, the outcome
- 51:35Speaker 2: of all this could have been completely different. Really, it
- 51:37Speaker 2: totally could have. Yeah, well not necessarily if he was
- 51:41Speaker 2: actually truly rooted evil or whatever, but it but it
- 51:45Speaker 2: could have helped.
- 51:45Speaker 1: Could have. Now Pauzuzu's home was condemned and after the
- 51:50Speaker 1: second search warrant was executed, he was arrested. The house
- 51:55Speaker 1: was then deemed unfit for habitation.
- 51:58Speaker 2: Oh percent, I can imagine.
- 52:00Speaker 1: Locals literally pulled up lawn chairs to watch the demolition
- 52:03Speaker 1: of this house.
- 52:04Speaker 2: Really yeah, Like it was like it was like an event.
- 52:07Speaker 2: It was like grab your popcorn.
- 52:08Speaker 1: Yeah, it was like going out to see the monster
- 52:10Speaker 1: truck rally or see fireworks or something like. It's yeah,
- 52:14Speaker 1: they were like, let's fucking watch this go down.
- 52:17Speaker 2: Well, just so like thankful that it's putting me over.
- 52:22Speaker 1: Now. I said, I was going to touch on the dogs,
- 52:24Speaker 1: the eight dogs.
- 52:24Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I forgot about the doggies.
- 52:27Speaker 1: Of the eight dogs taken from the home of Pazuzu,
- 52:31Speaker 1: seven were eventually euthanized due to health or behavior, and
- 52:35Speaker 1: one dog was in the adoption program for some time
- 52:38Speaker 1: and did find a new home. So now Pazuzu, officially
- 52:42Speaker 1: on record, is at least partially responsible or fully responsible
- 52:47Speaker 1: for the death of three people. And I just want
- 52:50Speaker 1: to say seven dogs and I don't know how many rabbits. Yeah,
- 52:54Speaker 1: also potentially up to another like fifteen other people through rumors.
- 52:59Speaker 2: And other animals too, because it was never for sure
- 53:02Speaker 2: it was just rabbits.
- 53:03Speaker 1: Yeah, so he he killed a lot of people, and
- 53:06Speaker 1: he killed a lot of animals alongside that brutal Now,
- 53:11Speaker 1: final note on this, I said a touch on Satanism
- 53:14Speaker 1: as well. So real Satanists actually do not worship the devil.
- 53:18Speaker 1: I just want to throw that out there. In fact,
- 53:21Speaker 1: they're atheists. They place emphasis on empathy, compassion, They strive
- 53:27Speaker 1: for justice, knowledge seeking and using science to guide their beliefs.
- 53:31Speaker 1: They teach self love and only use Satan as a
- 53:34Speaker 1: metaphor to show the irony in religion and worshiping idols.
- 53:39Speaker 1: So if you actually talk to a real Satanist, they
- 53:43Speaker 1: do not worship Satan. If you are talking to someone
- 53:45Speaker 1: who worships Satan, they are not a Satanist. They are
- 53:48Speaker 1: just an asshole.
- 53:50Speaker 2: Okay. I hadn't no idea of the definitions and stuff.
- 53:54Speaker 1: So there you go. Really, that is the story of Josh.
- 53:59Speaker 2: Basically, glease Zuzu alchorod to sum it up, Pazuzu is
- 54:02Speaker 2: an asshole.
- 54:04Speaker 1: Yeah, Pazuzu is an asshole.
- 54:07Speaker 2: That sums up this whole case. Yes, if you skip
- 54:10Speaker 2: to the end, that's all you need to know.
- 54:12Speaker 1: Now there's some more stories woven in between there like
- 54:14Speaker 1: some of Pazuzu's acquaintances throughout this time. Like I said,
- 54:18Speaker 1: Matt Flowers is in it in the documentary, I highly
- 54:20Speaker 1: recommend you go watch The Devil, you know, the Vice documentary.
- 54:24Speaker 1: Uh I watch it on YouTube. I'll link it down below,
- 54:26Speaker 1: but I believe it's also on Amazon Prime. Oh so
- 54:29Speaker 1: you guys can check that out. Highly highly recommend it.
- 54:33Speaker 1: Any source that I've found, generally their source for information
- 54:37Speaker 1: was this documentary.
- 54:38Speaker 2: How long is it?
- 54:39Speaker 1: Though it's a five part documentary document series?
- 54:41Speaker 2: Is it like each an hour?
- 54:43Speaker 1: Each episode I believe is about forty minutes?
- 54:45Speaker 2: Okay, huh yeah, you really want to dive real deep.
- 54:49Speaker 1: Into this shit, and it's one that you can dive
- 54:52Speaker 1: super deep into.
- 54:52Speaker 2: I could imagine super deep. Yeah, super deep, super super
- 54:57Speaker 2: So Matt Flowers is fine though he never got like
- 55:00Speaker 2: in jail or anything because he was helping.
- 55:02Speaker 1: Well, maybe you'll have to just watch the rest of
- 55:03Speaker 1: the documentary.
- 55:04Speaker 2: If you want to kind of like him, but not.
- 55:06Speaker 1: Matt Flowers is a good guy.
- 55:08Speaker 2: Okay, Okay, I'm like, am I wrong to like him?
- 55:12Speaker 1: Okay? Well, I guess with that we need to make
- 55:14Speaker 1: sure that we Uh, we gotta do our outro because
- 55:17Speaker 1: we don't have the music.
- 55:18Speaker 2: Oh what is the outro?
- 55:19Speaker 1: I got it? I got it. Okay you you say
- 55:21Speaker 1: the stay Wicked part. I'll do the outro. Okay, ready, ready, okay, okay.
- 55:26Speaker 1: Thanks for listening. Guys, appreciate you being here in this
- 55:29Speaker 1: weird episode where we have no intro outro, but of course,
- 55:32Speaker 1: make sure you guys stay wicked.
- 55:35Speaker 2: Do do do? Do do?
- 55:41Speaker 1: How do I do? Dan yell it?
- 55:42Speaker 2: I don't know
