08. “Let US” - The Trinity and the Divine Council
After repeatedly saying, “Let there be…” prior to creating, before the creation of humans God says, “Let US make…” (Gen. 1:26). Who is the “us?” Is it the Trinity speaking to itself or is there something more going on here? While the Trinity is certainly at work (because God is Trinity), it seems there is more going on. This week, we will highlight something that comes up repeatedly in the story of Scripture and is specifically related to the “Spirit” aspect of our methodology: the Divine Council.
