- 0:00Speaker 1: Stirring the pot, one morning at a time. Welcome to
- 0:05Speaker 1: the Alabama Show.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Bruh.
- 0:16Speaker 3: Yeah? Have you ever been to a race where people
- 0:19Speaker 3: run half marathons and marathons?
- 0:22Speaker 4: I have, but.
- 0:23Speaker 2: I don't go off.
- 0:24Speaker 3: So yes, you've been to one. Yeah. Runners are so serious.
- 0:28Speaker 3: I went to one yesterday because I had a friend
- 0:29Speaker 3: that ran a half marathon and I was like, I'll
- 0:31Speaker 3: go show support. I show up. These people are on
- 0:34Speaker 3: a whole other level. It is crazy.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Their brains work different than the average human species.
- 0:40Speaker 3: Yes. It's like a bunch of superheroes walking around. There's
- 0:44Speaker 3: a bunch of shirtless men. The freaking women are shredded.
- 0:47Speaker 3: I was like, I felt like I was at a
- 0:49Speaker 3: casting call for the Avengers.
- 0:52Speaker 5: Okay.
- 0:52Speaker 3: That's what it was like.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Okay.
- 0:54Speaker 3: It was wild. So if you ran a half marathon
- 0:57Speaker 3: or a marathon yesterday, congratulations to you. That is crazy.
- 1:00Speaker 3: I could not.
- 1:01Speaker 2: I couldn't.
- 1:01Speaker 3: I don't.
- 1:02Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:03Speaker 1: Anyway.
- 1:04Speaker 3: How was your weekend? Good?
- 1:05Speaker 2: Yeah, it was pretty. It was okay.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Yeah. It was pretty good. Good. On the way, ask
- 1:09Speaker 3: Alabama if you ever have an issue that you need
- 1:11Speaker 3: help with. Call the show. 833-501-BAMA is the number. Crazy
- 1:15Speaker 3: things people do in the news. What the hell headlines.
- 1:18Speaker 3: We're going to do that at 615-850. And do you
- 1:20Speaker 3: have good news? Because we would love to celebrate with you.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Call the show. 833-501-BAMA is the number.
- 1:24Speaker 7: Good morning.
- 1:24Speaker 3: Good morning.
- 1:27Speaker 4: Stop.
- 1:28Speaker 3: It's what the hell headlines. What the hell are you
- 1:30Speaker 3: talking about?
- 1:31Speaker 1: On the Alabama show.
- 1:34Speaker 3: Left-handed people are mad at Apple.
- 1:36Speaker 1: What the hell?
- 1:38Speaker 2: Is this something to do with a new phone?
- 1:39Speaker 3: Yes, they are upset about the foldable iPhone Duo because
- 1:43Speaker 3: people are saying it discriminates against left-handed people. They're saying
- 1:46Speaker 3: it's awkward to hold and use for left-handers. Listen to this.
- 1:50Speaker 5: If you're left-handed, you're going to have a sharp right
- 1:52Speaker 5: corner stabbing the palm of your hand, and you're going
- 1:54Speaker 5: to have to reach all the way across an even
- 1:56Speaker 5: wider phone just to send a text message.
- 1:58Speaker 1: What the hell? Super Easy Trivia with The Alabama Show.
- 2:03Speaker 3: You think you can make the world proud playing Super
- 2:06Speaker 3: Easy Trivia today?
- 2:08Speaker 2: I think I got this one. Yeah, let's try it.
- 2:10Speaker 3: You think you got the answers?
- 2:12Speaker 2: Yes, I do.
- 2:13Speaker 3: We do this every morning. If you ever want to
- 2:14Speaker 3: play and show off your trivia skills, 833-501-BEMA is the number.
- 2:18Speaker 3: Question number one, Producer Blake, if you freeze water, what
- 2:21Speaker 3: do you get?
- 2:22Speaker 2: Ice, ice, baby. Ice is it.
- 2:26Speaker 3: What did... Jack and Jill go up the hill to fetch.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Is it a pail of water?
- 2:32Speaker 3: Yeah. Jack and Jill went up the hill to fetch
- 2:36Speaker 3: a pail of water.
- 2:37Speaker 6: Pail.
- 2:37Speaker 2: It is pail.
- 2:38Speaker 3: Jack came down. What's the rest of it?
- 2:40Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 2:41Speaker 2: I can't remember pail.
- 2:43Speaker 3: Somebody fell down.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Yeah, Jill did, I think.
- 2:45Speaker 3: And the rest came tumbling after. Or is that Humpty
- 2:49Speaker 3: Dumpty who fell off the wall?
- 2:50Speaker 2: He also fell, but I think a lot of these
- 2:51Speaker 2: people fall. They're just uncoordinated in these.
- 2:54Speaker 3: All right. Question number three. Where does Santa live?
- 2:57Speaker 2: Is House in the North Pole?
- 2:59Speaker 3: The North Pole is.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:03Speaker 5: Correct.
- 3:13Speaker 3: Congratulations, buddy. You won Super Easy Trivia.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Thank you. I needed this win.
- 3:18Speaker 1: It's three things you need to know with the Alabama Show.
- 3:21Speaker 3: There is a nationwide AI data center revolt bus tour
- 3:25Speaker 3: that's going on all throughout the nation. They stopped in
- 3:28Speaker 3: Alabama yesterday in Bessemer. They came to the Good Art Company.
- 3:32Speaker 3: What they're saying is big tech is targeting Alabama for
- 3:35Speaker 3: large scale data centers. And they're arguing that neighbors deserve
- 3:38Speaker 3: a say in what gets built in their communities. And
- 3:41Speaker 3: there's been a lot of data center controversy going on
- 3:45Speaker 3: in Alabama right now. Hayden Panettiere's boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, was
- 3:50Speaker 3: handcuffed by South Carolina police over the weekend following an
- 3:53Speaker 3: altercation at a Wild Wing Cafe. He had been drinking
- 3:57Speaker 3: at the restaurant before throwing a bar stool. There's video
- 3:59Speaker 3: that shows Brian being lifted and carried out of the
- 4:02Speaker 3: restaurant while arguing with other people there. Brian was released
- 4:05Speaker 3: without charges, but his brother, Zach, was arrested for disorderly conduct.
- 4:12Speaker 3: Did you see Lady Gaga's mom?
- 4:14Speaker 2: No, I didn't see Lady Gaga's mom.
- 4:15Speaker 3: Remember last week we were speculating that Lady Gaga and
- 4:19Speaker 3: her fiance secretly got married and were having a honeymoon? Yes.
- 4:23Speaker 3: They had a baby, and they didn't tell anybody, and
- 4:26Speaker 3: they've been secretly in hiding being parents.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I did see that part of.
- 4:32Speaker 3: Yeah, she's a mom. That's what I said.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Pay attention.
- 4:34Speaker 3: Pay attention. Did you see she's a mom?
- 4:38Speaker 2: Yes, I did see she was a mother, yes.
- 4:40Speaker 3: Okay, so, yeah, they've been spending time enjoying being new parents.
- 4:44Speaker 3: We don't know the name or the gender of the baby,
- 4:46Speaker 3: but photos have been released of Lady Gaga walking down
- 4:49Speaker 3: the street holding her baby, and it's crazy. We had
- 4:51Speaker 3: no idea she was even pregnant this last year. Like,
- 4:53Speaker 3: this has been the biggest kept secret. Lady Gaga hid
- 4:56Speaker 3: that she was pregnant, hid that she gave birth, and
- 5:00Speaker 3: hid that she has been a mother for as long
- 5:02Speaker 3: as she has. This is wild.
- 5:03Speaker 2: She should be the next 007 James Bond.
- 5:06Speaker 3: Yeah, congratulations, Lady Gaga. That's what's awesome. That's three things
- 5:09Speaker 3: you need to know. More at thealabamashow.com.
- 5:14Speaker 1: You're listening to The Alabama Show On Demand.
- 5:17Speaker 3: Good morning, Grace. What's your issue for Ask Alabama?
- 5:20Speaker 7: Yeah, so my ex invited my father to his wedding.
- 5:25Speaker 4: Oh, no.
- 5:26Speaker 3: That's why we do Ask Alabama. If you ever have
- 5:28Speaker 3: an issue, we do our best to help you figure
- 5:32Speaker 3: it out. 833-501-BAMA is the number to call the show.
- 5:34Speaker 3: What's going on? Why did your ex invite your dad
- 5:36Speaker 3: to his wedding?
- 5:37Speaker 7: Three years ago, my ex and I broke up. We
- 5:40Speaker 7: were in a long-term relationship. I mean, five years. And
- 5:45Speaker 7: the breakup was devastating, is devastating.
- 5:48Speaker 3: All of it. It's just.
- 5:51Speaker 7: It was very hard.
- 5:52Speaker 2: What happened?
- 5:53Speaker 7: Well, he had basically checked out of our relationship. Eventually,
- 5:57Speaker 7: I found out he started seeing a coworker before then
- 6:00Speaker 7: breaking up with me. And he just handled the breakup
- 6:04Speaker 7: in quite literally the worst way.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:07Speaker 7: After that, we went completely no contact. I went to therapy.
- 6:12Speaker 7: I had to essentially like rebuild my entire life from
- 6:16Speaker 7: scratch and And it's been a journey. It's been a journey.
- 6:20Speaker 7: I've been trying to date. I've been like, it's hard, though.
- 6:25Speaker 3: And that was three years ago. That was three years ago.
- 6:29Speaker 3: He's engaged now and getting married. And what's going on
- 6:33Speaker 3: with that?
- 6:34Speaker 7: Well, so I found out because about a month ago,
- 6:38Speaker 7: my ex reached out to my dad and invited my
- 6:43Speaker 7: parents to dinner.
- 6:44Speaker 3: His wedding. Was your dad and your ex really close
- 6:47Speaker 3: when y'all dated?
- 6:48Speaker 7: Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I mean, they were my dad
- 6:52Speaker 7: was basically his second father. Hang on.
- 6:54Speaker 3: Is your ex is your ex marrying the co-worker that
- 6:58Speaker 3: he cheated on you with?
- 7:00Speaker 7: Ding, ding, ding.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Yeah, he is.
- 7:04Speaker 5: He is.
- 7:04Speaker 3: He is.
- 7:06Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 7:07Speaker 7: I don't really even know how to handle this. I
- 7:12Speaker 7: do not want my parents to go, but I don't
- 7:15Speaker 7: know if I can tell them that.
- 7:18Speaker 3: Producer Blake, what do you think?
- 7:20Speaker 2: I think let the dad go. I mean, they became
- 7:23Speaker 2: close with him. And if he knows the situation at
- 7:25Speaker 2: all and still wants to go, then I don't see
- 7:27Speaker 2: why you need to stop him.
- 7:28Speaker 3: I don't understand that. Absolutely not. She had to go
- 7:32Speaker 3: to years of therapy. He literally cheated on her with
- 7:35Speaker 3: another woman. What father, what dad would want to go
- 7:40Speaker 3: to her baby girl's ex's wedding when the ex cheated
- 7:45Speaker 3: on her? Like, I'm shocked that your dad didn't go
- 7:47Speaker 3: beat him up.
- 7:48Speaker 7: That's honestly what should have happened.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Call the show.
- 7:52Speaker 3: What do you think Grace's dad should do? Well, actually,
- 7:55Speaker 3: your ex invited both your parents.
- 7:56Speaker 7: 833-501-BAMA is the number.
- 7:57Speaker 3: That's 833-501-2262. You're listening to The Alabama Show On Demand.
- 8:08Speaker 3: 833-501-BEMA is the number to call the show if your
- 8:11Speaker 3: ex invites your parents to their wedding to somebody else.
- 8:14Speaker 3: What's the first thing you're doing? Andrew, good morning. What's
- 8:17Speaker 3: going on?
- 8:18Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, that's a real scenario. My ex-wife wants my
- 8:22Speaker 4: mom to come to a wedding.
- 8:23Speaker 3: So is she going to go?
- 8:25Speaker 4: I've told her it's her or me.
- 8:28Speaker 3: Yeah, but don't you have kids with your ex-wife?
- 8:30Speaker 4: I have two kids with my ex-wife.
- 8:32Speaker 3: Okay, so that's different. That's the mother of your mom's grandchildren.
- 8:36Speaker 4: Yeah, but that shouldn't matter. There shouldn't be any bearing there.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Why do you care?
- 8:42Speaker 3: You're remarried. What does it matter?
- 8:44Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm happily remarried.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Great.
- 8:46Speaker 4: But if my mother chose to go against my wishes,
- 8:51Speaker 4: I'm going to wish those two women the best.
- 8:53Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Hang on.
- 8:56Speaker 4: I will pay a crackhead $ 100 to run up to
- 8:59Speaker 4: her wedding and lick her on the face.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Wait a minute.
- 9:02Speaker 3: Are your kids going to her wedding? Because that's their mom.
- 9:05Speaker 4: Yeah, they're going to go because that's their mom. But
- 9:07Speaker 4: if my mother has no place with my ex-wife.
- 9:10Speaker 1: All right.
- 9:11Speaker 4: I'm just saying. There's no way.
- 9:12Speaker 6: There's no way.
- 9:13Speaker 5: Okay.
- 9:14Speaker 7: Love you, Andrew.
- 9:14Speaker 3: Thank you for calling. You bet.
- 9:17Speaker 1: You're listening to The Alabama Show On Demand.
- 9:19Speaker 3: What would you do if your ex invited your parents
- 9:22Speaker 3: to their wedding to somebody else? 833-501-BAMA is the number. Desiree,
- 9:27Speaker 3: good morning. Are you calling about Grace and her ex
- 9:30Speaker 3: inviting her dad to his wedding?
- 9:32Speaker 6: Yes.
- 9:33Speaker 3: Okay, what do you think?
- 9:35Speaker 8: That is her dad, so I don't know. I feel
- 9:37Speaker 8: like it's supposed to be the he-man, man-hater club. Like,
- 9:40Speaker 8: if he did that to me, you should not. I
- 9:42Speaker 8: have an ex that did the same, but it wasn't...
- 9:46Speaker 8: invite my family but once we broke up my family
- 9:48Speaker 8: broke up with them too yes cut all.
- 9:51Speaker 3: Ties yes what did your dad do when your ex
- 9:56Speaker 3: and you broke up was your dad like i'm going
- 9:57Speaker 3: to go get him?
- 9:58Speaker 8: No, he didn't go get him. But he said, if
- 10:00Speaker 8: you're done, we're done. I said, we're done. And that's it.
- 10:03Speaker 2: I love that.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Good for your dad. That's that is a great thing
- 10:06Speaker 3: to do. That's great. Well, thank you for sharing.
- 10:09Speaker 5: Yes.
- 10:09Speaker 6: And good luck to her.
- 10:11Speaker 8: I'm so sorry.
- 10:13Speaker 3: It's what the hell headlines. What the hell are you
- 10:15Speaker 3: talking about?
- 10:16Speaker 1: On the Alabama show.
- 10:19Speaker 3: You can now buy a pumpkin spice casket.
- 10:22Speaker 1: What the hell?
- 10:23Speaker 2: How do you get a pumpkin spice casket?
- 10:26Speaker 3: Well, there is a casket company, Titan Casket, now selling
- 10:29Speaker 3: a pumpkin spice casket, which is orange on the outside
- 10:32Speaker 3: and then the interior is white. And the ad for
- 10:36Speaker 3: it says pumpkin spice forever. Pumpkin spice doesn't have to
- 10:40Speaker 3: end just because you do. Oh my. Oh, my gosh.
- 10:47Speaker 3: It cost $ 15. 99, $ 1, 599. And so there's the casket on
- 10:51Speaker 3: their Instagram with some pumpkins by it. So if you
- 10:54Speaker 3: love pumpkin spice that much, you can now get buried
- 10:56Speaker 3: in it.
- 10:56Speaker 2: I'm out.
- 10:57Speaker 3: What the hell?
- 10:59Speaker 1: It's three things you need to know with the Alabama Show.
- 11:03Speaker 3: If you watched the football this weekend, Alabama beat Kentucky 45-17.
- 11:07Speaker 3: Roll Tide. Auburn also won against Southern Miss 43-8. Here
- 11:11Speaker 3: are the things you should never share with chat GPT,
- 11:14Speaker 3: according to the cybersecurity experts, because this can be stored,
- 11:18Speaker 3: analyzed and then potentially reused, which is terrifying. So don't
- 11:22Speaker 3: give chat your personal information like your full name, your address,
- 11:24Speaker 3: your phone number or anything like that. No intimate details
- 11:28Speaker 3: about your personal life, which I have failed because I
- 11:30Speaker 3: talked to chat about. I use chat GPT as a therapist. Yep. Also,
- 11:35Speaker 3: and it's not legally protected. It can be used in court.
- 11:38Speaker 3: So like if you're if you have a court case
- 11:40Speaker 3: or something, whatever you tell AI can be used in court,
- 11:43Speaker 3: which I also didn't know. Also, if you talk to
- 11:46Speaker 3: it about medical stuff, make sure you take out any
- 11:48Speaker 3: identifying information from the props. Like if you're asking like
- 11:52Speaker 3: general questions of why does my stomach hurt? But don't
- 11:55Speaker 3: you know, don't give medical personal info. Here's the new couple.
- 12:00Speaker 3: I think they're a couple. Dakota Johnson and Machine Gun
- 12:03Speaker 3: Kelly were hanging out at Taylor Swift's apartment over the weekend.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Those are two people you don't expect.
- 12:08Speaker 3: Dakota Johnson was, you know, Fifty Shades of Grey, but
- 12:11Speaker 3: also she dated Chris Martin from Coldplay and they broke up.
- 12:15Speaker 3: So her and Machine Gun Kelly were seen getting out
- 12:17Speaker 3: of a black SUV in New York on Friday night
- 12:21Speaker 3: going into Taylor Swift's apartment in New York City. Taylor
- 12:24Speaker 3: Swift was not at her apartment. She's with Travis Kelce
- 12:28Speaker 3: while Travis Kelce is getting ready for his game tonight.
- 12:32Speaker 3: So Taylor was like, yeah, y'all go hang out at
- 12:35Speaker 3: my apartment. So they were in Taylor Swift's apartment by
- 12:37Speaker 3: themselves together. And they both were guests at Taylor Swift's
- 12:42Speaker 3: wedding in July separately. And that's reportedly where they met.
- 12:46Speaker 5: So whatever happens in Taylor Swift's apartment stays in Taylor
- 12:49Speaker 5: Swift's apartment.
- 12:50Speaker 3: I want to know what they did in there. Yeah.
- 12:52Speaker 2: You know what they probably do.
- 12:53Speaker 3: I wonder what Taylor Swift conversation, like who called Taylor Swift?
- 12:57Speaker 3: Was it Dakota that was like, hey, can me and
- 12:59Speaker 3: Machine Gun Kelly go to your apartment? Or was it
- 13:01Speaker 3: Machine Gun Kelly that was like, yo, Taylor, can I
- 13:03Speaker 3: take a girl to your place? And then what did
- 13:05Speaker 3: Taylor say? And then Taylor's like, yeah, I'll have the,
- 13:08Speaker 3: like what? What kind of life is that? I want
- 13:11Speaker 3: to know.
- 13:12Speaker 2: I would also like to know. Add me to that.
- 13:14Speaker 3: That's rich people problems. That's also three things you need
- 13:16Speaker 3: to know. More at thealabamashow.com.
- 13:20Speaker 1: You're listening to The Alabama Show.
- 13:22Speaker 3: The following program is on demand. 833-501-BAMA is the number
- 13:27Speaker 3: to call the show if you have good news. Kelsey,
- 13:29Speaker 3: good morning. What's your good news? What are you doing
- 13:31Speaker 3: this weekend?
- 13:32Speaker 6: So this weekend I'm actually hosting my first mom, my
- 13:37Speaker 6: local mom meetup. We're doing crafts and coffee.
- 13:39Speaker 3: Yes.
- 13:39Speaker 6: I'm doing it. Coffee and craft supplies. And it's going
- 13:44Speaker 6: to be really fun. If you have any mom friends
- 13:47Speaker 6: that live out in the North Jefferson, Alabama, we're meeting
- 13:51Speaker 6: at the Oak and Ivory venue in Warrior, Alabama at
- 13:56Speaker 6: 1030 tomorrow morning.
- 13:57Speaker 3: That's like right up the road for me. Can I
- 13:59Speaker 3: come if I'm a dog mom? Does that count?
- 14:02Speaker 5: Absolutely.
- 14:03Speaker 3: You can say no.
- 14:08Speaker 6: Yeah, bring the dogs.
- 14:09Speaker 3: The kids will love it. I love it. Kelsey, thank
- 14:13Speaker 3: you for calling. That's great news. Thanks for sharing. Yeah, woohoo.
- 14:17Speaker 6: I hope y'all have a great weekend.
- 14:18Speaker 1: You are listening to The Alabama Show On Demand.
- 14:22Speaker 3: If you live in the South, you know football takes
- 14:24Speaker 3: over everything.
- 14:25Speaker 2: It doesn't stop. It's a continuation.
- 14:27Speaker 3: Thanks for listening to The Alabama Show. I'm Alabama with
- 14:30Speaker 3: producer Blake. And what happened this weekend?
- 14:34Speaker 5: So I was supposed to go record music for an
- 14:37Speaker 5: album I'm working on.
- 14:38Speaker 3: Producer Blake is a musician and he has a friend
- 14:40Speaker 3: that they meet up. in another state and he dropped
- 14:43Speaker 3: like you drive how many hours to get to this
- 14:45Speaker 3: guy so y'all can make music.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Like two and a half hours okay so.
- 14:49Speaker 3: That was the whole do you stay there all weekend
- 14:51Speaker 3: yeah friday saturday sunday.
- 14:52Speaker 5: Yes correct okay and i go there and i'm like
- 14:55Speaker 5: all right sick we're gonna be able to finish this
- 14:57Speaker 5: one song we've been working on it has been a
- 14:59Speaker 5: pain in my butt to do and i'm like okay
- 15:01Speaker 5: thank goodness i get there and friday night we're like
- 15:03Speaker 5: hanging out just doing whatever he goes tomorrow we'll go
- 15:05Speaker 5: get it done Well, as soon as we wake up,
- 15:08Speaker 5: his dad comes downstairs and goes, boys, it's football day.
- 15:12Speaker 2: And I went, I went, what?
- 15:14Speaker 5: He goes, he's like, we only need to watch the
- 15:17Speaker 5: one game and then we'll be fine. Literally from the
- 15:20Speaker 5: first game until the very last game that night, we
- 15:23Speaker 5: did not stop watching football.
