Transcript
- 0:10Speaker 1: Hello, and welcome to Reality TV Cringe. I am one
- 0:13Speaker 1: of your hosts, Delia here with my real tight homegirl
- 0:17Speaker 1: and my daughter in Lota. Hi, everybody, we are here
- 0:22Speaker 1: to talk Sister Wild's Honey Girl. We are wrapping up
- 0:27Speaker 1: season five. We've been through all of those episodes so
- 0:31Speaker 1: many and it's perfect timing because next week we are
- 0:34Speaker 1: starting Sister Wife season nineteen.
- 0:36Speaker 2: I can't wait. Give it to me.
- 0:38Speaker 1: I'm so ready for it. So before we get into
- 0:42Speaker 1: this episode, we have to issue you a disclaimer. Please
- 0:45Speaker 1: hid your wife and hid your kids. This is a
- 0:47Speaker 1: politically incorrect podcast. We say a lot of bad words,
- 0:52Speaker 1: we have stupid opinions, and we ain't gonna apologize for that.
- 0:56Speaker 1: So if you're thoughtful, you might want to find yourself
- 1:00Speaker 1: another dumpster baby. But if you're down to talk about
- 1:04Speaker 1: some more monism and a specific coldness, suck, Welcome to
- 1:09Speaker 1: this dumpster.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Yeah, and if you like what we do, be sure
- 1:11Speaker 2: to follow us on Instagram at reality tv Crunch and
- 1:14Speaker 2: join us on Patreon, Patreon, dot com sociality tv Crunch.
- 1:18Speaker 2: We have a lot of bonus content up on there, Okay, so.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Much, so much. If you are watching on YouTube, please
- 1:23Speaker 1: don't forget to like and comment and share and subscribe.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Everything you do really helps us. And to share all
- 1:30Speaker 1: you have to do is hit share, copy that link.
- 1:32Speaker 1: You don't even have to share. I won't say anything. Yeah,
- 1:33Speaker 1: I know beaters won't say anything, but it's still gonna
- 1:36Speaker 1: help us, it would, so thank you.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Thank you very much.
- 1:40Speaker 1: All right, before we get into the episode. I got
- 1:42Speaker 1: one other thing. Okay, well I got two things, because
- 1:44Speaker 1: we have to talk about that thing that happened last
- 1:47Speaker 1: week when we were sick that we didn't get to
- 1:49Speaker 1: talk to because you're a sick girl. Which is the house?
- 1:53Speaker 1: The for sale sign went up on Cody and Robbin's mcmansin.
- 1:59Speaker 2: It is curly up on Zillo right now, so you
- 2:01Speaker 2: can go and look at the interior and it's so ugly.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Who do you think you're talking to? You don't think
- 2:07Speaker 1: every person within the sound of our voice. I already
- 2:10Speaker 1: looked at that Zillo listing, saw it on Reddit, saw
- 2:13Speaker 1: it on Instagram, looked through it with a fine tooth calm.
- 2:16Speaker 2: You know they did, I mean, I hope. So some
- 2:18Speaker 2: people still comment on our Instagram like, where can I
- 2:20Speaker 2: see the listing? Where can I?
- 2:21Speaker 1: It's on a Zillo, it's everywhere. So they listed the
- 2:26Speaker 1: horder House McMansion, where in lies the Dickenzie Villain. They
- 2:31Speaker 1: listed that for one million, six hundred and fifty thousand dollars.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Isn't that like less than what it's actually valued at.
- 2:39Speaker 1: No, it says on Zillo that it's overvalued by what
- 2:43Speaker 1: three or four hundred thousand dollars. They can't really depend
- 2:47Speaker 1: on Zillo for that. Yeah, but I think it's pretty
- 2:50Speaker 1: subjective when you're talking about those numbers and you're in
- 2:52Speaker 1: a place like Flagstaff, Yeah, dealing with one of these
- 2:55Speaker 1: bigger homes. I did see something I think it was
- 2:57Speaker 1: on a subreddit somewhere where somebody posted the history of
- 3:03Speaker 1: the listing, like they started off a little higher, then
- 3:07Speaker 1: they went down to like one point two million, then
- 3:10Speaker 1: they went down to like nine hundred thousand, then they
- 3:12Speaker 1: went back up to one point six all within a
- 3:15Speaker 1: day or two, and people were wondering why they might
- 3:18Speaker 1: have done that.
- 3:19Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 3:20Speaker 1: I'm not sure either.
- 3:21Speaker 2: I have no idea.
- 3:22Speaker 1: If you know, please let us know, Please let us know.
- 3:25Speaker 1: But needless to say, when you've got a listing on
- 3:27Speaker 1: a luxury property, you've got to furnish some photographs, and
- 3:33Speaker 1: there were about thirty or forty photographs which everybody went
- 3:37Speaker 1: through with their fractuon monocle. So what are some of
- 3:41Speaker 1: your takeaways? Girls about that house?
- 3:43Speaker 2: So much purple, like so much purple. The master bedroom
- 3:50Speaker 2: was probably the worst, with that big gray, gaudy bed,
- 3:54Speaker 2: and like you were ruining.
- 3:56Speaker 1: This house a core so bad.
- 3:58Speaker 2: I'm like, so bad. And then some people were like
- 4:00Speaker 2: zooming in on some of the things, like there's a
- 4:02Speaker 2: sculpture in there that's like seven nine hundred dollars. There's
- 4:06Speaker 2: like artwork that's like six eight grand.
- 4:10Speaker 1: I'm like everywhere, what the fuck? Paintings for ten thousand dollars.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Somebody on the subreddit tallied up all of the knickknacks
- 4:19Speaker 1: and it was over one hundred thousand dollars just in knickknacks.
- 4:22Speaker 1: And when you think about Janelle, who just wanted to
- 4:25Speaker 1: live in a casita baby on the property and was
- 4:29Speaker 1: unable to do that, who doesn't have a place of
- 4:32Speaker 1: her own, when you think about jew looking at this
- 4:35Speaker 1: listing and seeing all of this expensive shit, I don't know,
- 4:39Speaker 1: I would be so fucking pissed.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Oh me too, I'm surprised they haven't said anything or
- 4:46Speaker 2: like tried to sue, because they should sue, Like he
- 4:49Speaker 2: and Robin totally stole all of this money from the otherwives,
- 4:53Speaker 2: Like for all of this bullshit, ugly ass artwork, isn't.
- 4:57Speaker 1: That against the law? Like all if all this money
- 4:59Speaker 1: is going into an LLC for all of the adults
- 5:02Speaker 1: and you siphon off the money and you buy investments
- 5:05Speaker 1: and artifacts and watches and paintings and Dickensian villages, Like,
- 5:09Speaker 1: are you being a legal fiduciary over that fund? It
- 5:13Speaker 1: doesn't seem fair. Surely these women have some sort of
- 5:17Speaker 1: an actionable action that they can take legally against Cody
- 5:22Speaker 1: and Robin. And some of the theories floating out there.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Do wonder whether they're selling because they're trying to pay
- 5:28Speaker 1: off Mary and payoff Janelle, both of whom contributed to
- 5:32Speaker 1: the down payment for that house. Oh good point, and
- 5:35Speaker 1: both of these women might be asking for that money back.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Although rumor has it that Cody and Robin pulled from
- 5:41Speaker 1: their equity to pay back Janelle like a year or
- 5:43Speaker 1: two ago. That's just a rumor, we don't know. Yeah,
- 5:46Speaker 1: but maybe that's why they're being compelled to sell. Also,
- 5:50Speaker 1: a lot of us are wondering, like where your coin's at,
- 5:53Speaker 1: because now you don't have Mary, who was the biggest
- 5:57Speaker 1: cash cow and Golden Goose. You don't have Janelle, you
- 5:59Speaker 1: don't have Christine. It's just Robin who don't.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Work, no, and Cody who don't work.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Yeah, and all you have is TLC and honey that
- 6:07Speaker 1: is winding down.
- 6:09Speaker 2: Well, Cody's also doing cameos.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Okay, oh my bad. Is he making a lot of
- 6:16Speaker 1: money doing those?
- 6:16Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 6:17Speaker 1: People are hate cameoing though, oh totally. Nobody wants a
- 6:20Speaker 1: cameo for we should buy Shirley Temple. Oh my god,
- 6:22Speaker 1: we should. I would love that.
- 6:24Speaker 2: He could say Beatrice and Delia, Oh my god, we
- 6:27Speaker 2: have to we should do that.
- 6:29Speaker 1: We should do that, Oh my god. But a lot
- 6:31Speaker 1: of people are wondering whether they are prognosticating their future
- 6:35Speaker 1: and realizing that they maybe have one, maybe two more
- 6:39Speaker 1: seasons of Sister Wives before it all ends, and then
- 6:42Speaker 1: what have you got?
- 6:44Speaker 2: Nothing? And some people were making theories online that I
- 6:48Speaker 2: really hope to be true, which is they were looking
- 6:51Speaker 2: at like the master bedroom closet and they were looking
- 6:53Speaker 2: at the clothes that were in there and it was
- 6:55Speaker 2: just women's clothes that there were no men's clothes there,
- 6:59Speaker 2: Like the whole inside was completely empty. So people are
- 7:02Speaker 2: thinking like did Cody move out? Like are him and
- 7:05Speaker 2: Robin splitting up? But then you have a preview for
- 7:08Speaker 2: this season coming up posted on TLC's instagram, like just
- 7:12Speaker 2: two days ago. I posted on our Instagram story go
- 7:14Speaker 2: following us huh, And it was basically like all of
- 7:17Speaker 2: the spouses and everything talking about like what this season
- 7:23Speaker 2: means to them, and Cody and Robin both were like, yeah, no,
- 7:25Speaker 2: we're happy now, like we're happy in marriage now, and
- 7:28Speaker 2: like Robin saying that Cody's her dream guy. And so
- 7:31Speaker 2: I'm like, maybe they're not split up. Maybe people just
- 7:33Speaker 2: want that to happen. It'd be so great. Though.
- 7:36Speaker 1: I watched that on our Instagram and Cody looks like
- 7:39Speaker 1: a maniac. He does like ways smiling for the camera.
- 7:42Speaker 1: He's smiling in such a way that he's trying to
- 7:44Speaker 1: convey that he does not want to be there and
- 7:46Speaker 1: he's being forced to smile for the camera. He looks
- 7:48Speaker 1: like a crazy person totally, And I'm like, what are
- 7:51Speaker 1: we doing? Why are we doing this? Can you please
- 7:53Speaker 1: define Joy, can you please define this or that? Like,
- 7:55Speaker 1: I mean, Garrison passed right. If anything, this season should
- 7:59Speaker 1: be a somb reckoning of a season. And we have
- 8:03Speaker 1: this kind of a trailer where you're all pretending that
- 8:05Speaker 1: everything's so honky dory and wonderful. It's not great for me.
- 8:08Speaker 1: I'm miss Garrison.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Well, and Cody's in there talking shit about the wives still,
- 8:13Speaker 2: about how he was in unhappy marriages with all of them.
- 8:16Speaker 2: So it's just like, what the fuck is this old footage?
- 8:18Speaker 2: It's probably old footage.
- 8:20Speaker 1: I think it's I don't know. It looks kind of
- 8:22Speaker 1: new because Mary looked like Mary now because Mary looks
- 8:25Speaker 1: different from last season.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I guess she was looking bad. Honey.
- 8:28Speaker 1: It's looking a little bit better. One other thing about
- 8:31Speaker 1: the sale of the house is that apparently a TikToker
- 8:36Speaker 1: made an appointment with the realtor to go and view
- 8:41Speaker 1: the McMansion with one of her friends. They surreptitiously video taped.
- 8:49Speaker 1: There's no tape. I'm such a boomer. They surreptitiously videoed
- 8:53Speaker 1: within the home after lying to the realtors that they
- 8:57Speaker 1: were interested in buying Stop and then they made some
- 8:59Speaker 1: sort of a TikTok, and apparently the realtor when they
- 9:02Speaker 1: showed for the appointment, said that Cody and Robin were
- 9:06Speaker 1: already under contract for a bigger home in Flagstaff, closer
- 9:11Speaker 1: to the city stop it, yep. And then there was
- 9:14Speaker 1: somebody else, honey, and I send it to you on
- 9:16Speaker 1: instagram't know if you've seen it. No, But somebody else said, well,
- 9:19Speaker 1: I looked to see what was available in the area,
- 9:21Speaker 1: and there is a house that is currently under contract
- 9:25Speaker 1: for like three point nine million dollars. Stop beautiful palatial
- 9:30Speaker 1: home which is under contract. So the timing is right,
- 9:34Speaker 1: it's in the correct area. And so I'm ninety percent
- 9:38Speaker 1: sure that that's not the house, but ten percent of
- 9:41Speaker 1: the things it could be that they are actually upgrading
- 9:46Speaker 1: their domicile to a real life mansion.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Literally, why and how where's all this money coming from?
- 9:54Speaker 2: Did they sell Coyote Pass?
- 9:55Speaker 1: No, we would have all known that.
- 9:57Speaker 2: We would have known. That is fucking weird. Man. If
- 10:00Speaker 2: they actually are getting a three million dollar home, that's why.
- 10:04Speaker 1: Four million dollars?
- 10:05Speaker 2: How do they have that money?
- 10:06Speaker 1: But the realtor apparently said that they're already under contract
- 10:09Speaker 1: for a bigger home like wherever it is a bigger
- 10:12Speaker 1: home if it's true. Like realtors tend to say things
- 10:15Speaker 1: like that. Yeah, I'm give like bullshit reasons that the
- 10:18Speaker 1: person is leaving the home. But I mean, if it's true,
- 10:22Speaker 1: I would be so upset about it. I'm not so invested.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Makes me mad for Janelle, honey, yep, it makes me
- 10:29Speaker 1: mad for Janelle and for Mary.
- 10:31Speaker 2: They should be the ones in a dorm apartment.
- 10:33Speaker 1: They didn't get ship those two women.
- 10:35Speaker 2: They didn't.
- 10:35Speaker 1: And you're gonna upgrade, so we're gonna have to see
- 10:38Speaker 1: what happens.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Girl. That's insane.
- 10:40Speaker 1: It is insane.
- 10:41Speaker 2: If they actually purchase that, everybody's gonna know about it.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Into all right. Wow. The next bit of goss that
- 10:49Speaker 1: we have is a US Sun article and granted us Son,
- 10:53Speaker 1: I mean, it ain't shit. Yeah, nonetheless, we're gonna read it. Yeah.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Actually I picked pieces out of it. And it concerns
- 10:58Speaker 1: Cody and Rob And the title of this article is
- 11:02Speaker 1: another divorce. Sister Wives star Robin Brown may leave husband
- 11:07Speaker 1: Cody due to his controlling behavior in quote unquote volatile marriage.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 11:13Speaker 1: A source closed to the TLC family spoke exclusively with
- 11:17Speaker 1: the US Sun shedding light on what's allegedly happening behind
- 11:20Speaker 1: closed doors. Robin and Cody are not doing well. They
- 11:24Speaker 1: have been very unhappy. I mean they've been unhappy since
- 11:28Speaker 1: everything fell apart, but even more so now it's getting worse.
- 11:32Speaker 1: The source claimed a big reason for their relationship downfall
- 11:35Speaker 1: is allegedly how angry Cody is. Quote He's just really
- 11:39Speaker 1: mad at the world right now. He's not who he
- 11:41Speaker 1: used to be at all. He's completely changed. He's angry,
- 11:45Speaker 1: and he's volatile, and he doesn't like anybody that's not
- 11:48Speaker 1: worshiping him.
- 11:49Speaker 2: Wow.
- 11:50Speaker 1: The source also claimed that Cody is very controlling, which
- 11:53Speaker 1: has led Robin to become submissive. Allegedly, Cody is controlling
- 11:57Speaker 1: so much of her life right now that it has
- 12:00Speaker 1: made her not happy. The source explained that Robin used
- 12:03Speaker 1: to be more social, she visited friends and talked on
- 12:06Speaker 1: the phone for hours, but that no longer happens. They
- 12:10Speaker 1: also think Robin could definitely leave if things continue in
- 12:14Speaker 1: the current direction. Quote, Robin is not committed to staying
- 12:17Speaker 1: if things don't change. That's just what it has come
- 12:20Speaker 1: down to. Their marriage is not going to sustain this
- 12:24Speaker 1: level of control. Further, she's not going to let her
- 12:27Speaker 1: kids be raised in the same volatile, angry state that
- 12:31Speaker 1: her other kids were raised in. Cody is turning into
- 12:34Speaker 1: a mirror image of David Jessup. That's Robin's first husband,
- 12:39Speaker 1: and she took her kids away from David Jessup and
- 12:42Speaker 1: took his parental control away. You think she's going to
- 12:44Speaker 1: stick around for this? No, the source said, so what.
- 12:48Speaker 2: That would be? Z?
- 12:52Speaker 1: So this is a source. Like a lot of these
- 12:54Speaker 1: online publications like just pull their content straight from Reddit. Yah,
- 12:59Speaker 1: You'll have people giving their opinions about what could be happening,
- 13:02Speaker 1: and they'll make a whole ass article out of it.
- 13:05Speaker 1: But this again claims to have a source. I'm wondering
- 13:07Speaker 1: who that source might be. I'm wondering about the veracity
- 13:10Speaker 1: of it, because if it is true, can you.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Imagine, bitch, that would rock the world to have Cody
- 13:19Speaker 2: have four divorces. Toby, I'm not wishing anything. Sin's Ben
- 13:27Speaker 2: carry melon?
- 13:28Speaker 1: Yeah, true, true, true, true, true. But but dear God
- 13:31Speaker 1: on col if you could hear our prayers, please, I mean, justice, Cody,
- 13:40Speaker 1: what are you doing?
- 13:41Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know how you could be happily
- 13:43Speaker 2: married to Cody Brown?
- 13:45Speaker 1: Or Robin Brown, I mean, but I mean definitely Cody Brown.
- 13:51Speaker 1: I mean, and once the money goes in my opinion,
- 13:54Speaker 1: that's when Robin starts thinking about going.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Now.
- 13:57Speaker 1: I don't know what kind of prospects she has now
- 13:59Speaker 1: because she's I don't know, forty five years old and
- 14:02Speaker 1: she don't have a job. In my sister wives closet,
- 14:05Speaker 1: that is not a job, no, So she would have
- 14:08Speaker 1: to attach herself like a parasite or a barnacle to
- 14:12Speaker 1: the ass of another man and start sucking out his
- 14:15Speaker 1: life force and his money. But like, that's harder to
- 14:17Speaker 1: do when you're close to fifty and you have a
- 14:20Speaker 1: lot of debt under you.
- 14:22Speaker 2: Yeah, about true.
- 14:23Speaker 1: So what is she gonna do. She gonna get a job,
- 14:25Speaker 1: She's gonna sign up with the temp agency. She's gonna
- 14:27Speaker 1: go work with Kohls for all those discounts on those glasses.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Well, I mean, if she leaves him, she could be
- 14:33Speaker 2: interviewed just like Christine and Janelle and all of them.
- 14:37Speaker 2: So she could make money like the wives are making
- 14:40Speaker 2: as being the fourth ex wife and just outing Cody.
- 14:43Speaker 2: So she wanted to go down that route, I feel
- 14:45Speaker 2: like she could make money. It would be Cody who
- 14:47Speaker 2: would be broken. Yeyeah.
- 14:49Speaker 1: Yeah, his biggest fear is poverty. You're right, I actually right?
- 14:54Speaker 1: Like if she left and started selling plexus or got
- 14:57Speaker 1: involved with various and sundry Mormon, Yes, she would first
- 15:02Speaker 1: of all find the favor of the audience, who would
- 15:04Speaker 1: fully support her for leaving for sure, even though she
- 15:07Speaker 1: herself is a troll totally and a demon. Yeah, but
- 15:10Speaker 1: we would fully support her leaving Cody Brown.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Yep.
- 15:12Speaker 1: She could make a bag, probably more than she could
- 15:14Speaker 1: make with Cody Brown. And she could find herself another
- 15:17Speaker 1: man who doesn't have to curl his hair with a
- 15:19Speaker 1: curling iron totally.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Maybe she could find another David Woolly bald. Yeah maybe,
- 15:24Speaker 2: I mean full on bald. I feel like she would
- 15:26Speaker 2: have a better chance and success than Cody Brown. Cody
- 15:29Speaker 2: will be like a typical divorced dad in his one
- 15:32Speaker 2: bedroom apartment right eating pizza off the floor because he
- 15:35Speaker 2: has no money and no furniture and he's broke. And
- 15:38Speaker 2: then he'll try and figure out how to sell guns somewhere.
- 15:40Speaker 2: He'll move to, like New Mexico, maybe sell some topaz
- 15:44Speaker 2: or whatever, and like that'll be his life. Serious, can't
- 15:48Speaker 2: you see that? I don't see that. Yeah, yeah, so
- 15:52Speaker 2: I don't know, but that was so good. Yeah. I
- 15:54Speaker 2: don't feel like Robin's gonna leave him though. That's the thing.
- 15:57Speaker 1: I don't know where she goes. I don't know what
- 15:58Speaker 1: she does if she sam other than what we've just
- 16:01Speaker 1: plotted out for her. She should listen to a couple
- 16:03Speaker 1: of rackets on the internet. But I think she's very
- 16:07Speaker 1: deeply affected by the hate of the public, like totally.
- 16:13Speaker 1: I feel like she would probably be scared to venture
- 16:16Speaker 1: out on her own and start a new business. And
- 16:19Speaker 1: I don't think she feels confident that we would rally
- 16:21Speaker 1: behind her, but we would. I would.
- 16:24Speaker 2: It was like, yeah, if she's like, you know, I
- 16:26Speaker 2: didn't expect this to happen, Like I didn't want this
- 16:29Speaker 2: to happen. I was just being a good wife to Cody,
- 16:31Speaker 2: and like I'm working on things with the other wives.
- 16:34Speaker 2: Like if she came out like that, she could have
- 16:37Speaker 2: a redemption art.
- 16:38Speaker 1: She could she could spin it. She could really could
- 16:40Speaker 1: totally spin it. I Mean, there's like two roads before you, Rob.
- 16:44Speaker 1: There's the road you're on now with bum ass Cody
- 16:48Speaker 1: Brown with no money in sight, honey, and then there's
- 16:51Speaker 1: this other road where you could create something for yourself,
- 16:54Speaker 1: find yourself a new man who's got a real job
- 16:57Speaker 1: that you might actually be sexually attracted to. It's a
- 17:00Speaker 1: new world.
- 17:01Speaker 2: Maybe she could be on milf manor.
- 17:05Speaker 1: She kind of looks like Barbie.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Yeah, probably sort of.
- 17:08Speaker 1: Anyway we have in terms of hot goss.
- 17:11Speaker 2: Yeah, that's good.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Now let's get into the final episode from season five
- 17:17Speaker 1: entitled hard to Say Good thought. Logan, you're going to
- 17:21Speaker 1: call right down the street, right down fifteen minutes away.
- 17:25Speaker 2: In a fucking dorm.
- 17:26Speaker 1: We can see it ANYWHI can visit.
- 17:27Speaker 2: You, Logan sleep and oh my god, we're so sad.
- 17:31Speaker 2: Who's gonna parent our kids for us? That's exactly what
- 17:34Speaker 2: they're thinking. But we start the episode with a very
- 17:37Speaker 2: interesting discussion with Mona.
- 17:40Speaker 1: The best part, Oh my god, this is so the
- 17:42Speaker 1: best part.
- 17:43Speaker 2: Good. All the wives are picking out their options for
- 17:46Speaker 2: their houses because they're getting built, so they got to
- 17:48Speaker 2: pick the carpets and the tile and the stone and
- 17:52Speaker 2: all this other bullshit. And we start with Christine kind
- 17:55Speaker 2: of complaining about like having to get everything ready because
- 17:58Speaker 2: she's in debt or something.
- 18:00Speaker 1: Well, she's bitching because they're still only pre qualified. They
- 18:04Speaker 1: haven't gotten the full qualification. The loan has not been funded, honey.
- 18:09Speaker 1: So she's worried because she can't be laid on any
- 18:12Speaker 1: of her bills and it's very difficult for her, I
- 18:13Speaker 1: guess because she doesn't know how to use a check
- 18:15Speaker 1: book and pay her own bills. And she's up at
- 18:17Speaker 1: three am and she's busy. Yeah, it's just a lot
- 18:21Speaker 1: to take care of being an adult. Yeah, So she's
- 18:23Speaker 1: worried about it. And they're on the couch as she
- 18:26Speaker 1: speaking about this, and Coldy's like, well that's everybody, Christine,
- 18:30Speaker 1: we're all trying to stay above board until the loan
- 18:33Speaker 1: goes through. So dismissive, very dismissive.
- 18:36Speaker 2: And Robin calls him out for which I thought was
- 18:38Speaker 2: kind of interesting. She's like, don't fucking say that, Like
- 18:40Speaker 2: we're all struggling. She's allowed to be struggling. And Christine's like,
- 18:44Speaker 2: you're the worst. You suck at validation, suck at validating.
- 18:48Speaker 2: I'm like, yeah, damn. And then she apologizes and says,
- 18:51Speaker 2: I'm sorry. I get really mean when I'm stressed out,
- 18:53Speaker 2: and I can relate as.
- 18:54Speaker 1: A fellow aries mean person.
- 18:57Speaker 2: I'm a mean person when I'm stressed. I'm such a bit.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Yeah, I know, I know.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Yeah, don't test me.
- 19:09Speaker 1: I know, I won't.
- 19:10Speaker 2: I care a lot. I'm kidding.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Oh, of course you're kidding. So they make it down
- 19:18Speaker 1: to Pinnacle Homes and Robin is the first to pick
- 19:23Speaker 1: her options and it's super easy, breezy, beautiful cover girl.
- 19:26Speaker 1: She's never had a thing. She's like, I'll take whatever carpet,
- 19:29Speaker 1: I'll take whatever tile. I'm fine, which Cody really appreciates
- 19:33Speaker 1: because Robin never gives them any trouble.
- 19:36Speaker 2: She's a perfect submissive wife.
- 19:37Speaker 1: That's right. But then we have Mary Trundle.
- 19:41Speaker 2: My god, and she's already two hundred dollars over budget.
- 19:45Speaker 1: She hasn't selected her final options at all.
- 19:48Speaker 2: Nothing.
- 19:48Speaker 1: This is all the wet bar, this is that fifth bedroom,
- 19:51Speaker 1: this is the hobby room, the partry, French fucking doors,
- 19:54Speaker 1: this is all of that stuff that she insisted upon having.
- 19:58Speaker 1: Has already put her two hundred dollars over budget, so
- 20:01Speaker 1: she gets no choices. She gets nothing now, and Cody
- 20:04Speaker 1: tries to tell her that as soon as she sits down, yep, like,
- 20:07Speaker 1: let me just set your expectations. You have nothing.
- 20:09Speaker 2: Yeah, you're over budget.
- 20:10Speaker 1: Yeah, we're just taking like the basics and then you're
- 20:13Speaker 1: out of here.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Yep.
- 20:14Speaker 1: And Mary is saying, I'm feeling some weird energy from you, Cody,
- 20:19Speaker 1: like you're coming at me pretty aggressive.
- 20:22Speaker 2: And she gets immediately emotional. She's like, well, I'm clueless,
- 20:25Speaker 2: like I didn't know it was over budget?
- 20:27Speaker 1: Yes you did, Yes you fucking did, Yes you did.
- 20:29Speaker 2: How are you so stupid that you haven't been paying
- 20:31Speaker 2: attention to this entire fucking time? You are over budget?
- 20:34Speaker 1: We've had emails from Mona talking about you being over budget.
- 20:37Speaker 1: We have been in office rooms with Mama before with
- 20:40Speaker 1: the French doors and the whip bar, and everybody knows
- 20:43Speaker 1: you're over budget. So how is this a surprise to you?
- 20:46Speaker 2: Like miss me with this shit, She's acting so clueless,
- 20:49Speaker 2: and she's like, well, I still want to go through everything.
- 20:51Speaker 2: You get to go through all the options with all
- 20:53Speaker 2: the other wives, so it's only fair.
- 20:55Speaker 1: And I still want to see the options that there's
- 20:58Speaker 1: no way that I can like the extra luxe carpet,
- 21:02Speaker 1: the extra beautiful stone that's gonna cost even more. I
- 21:05Speaker 1: still want to see that. I just want to see
- 21:07Speaker 1: it's life.
- 21:07Speaker 2: I want to be able to make an informed decision.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Right where you have no money, Mary, and that's the
- 21:12Speaker 1: reality of it. But she can't accept that, and so
- 21:15Speaker 1: she does this weird thing where she conflates it into
- 21:19Speaker 1: some sort of a relationship issue, like it's Cody who's
- 21:23Speaker 1: being judgmental of her. It's Cody who is looking down
- 21:27Speaker 1: on her when she doesn't really know what's happening. And
- 21:30Speaker 1: I'm like, actually, I'm kind of on Cody's side. Yeah,
- 21:33Speaker 1: I'm just trying to tell you, like, we ain't got
- 21:35Speaker 1: no money, honey, you're.
- 21:37Speaker 2: Over fucking budget. These houses are like four hundred grand each, right,
- 21:41Speaker 2: Like this is crazy, and you're complaining about how you
- 21:45Speaker 2: have to have French doors and you have to have
- 21:47Speaker 2: everything perfect and like on the couch. Mary's like her
- 21:50Speaker 2: logic with this, because you know, she's a very logical person.
- 21:54Speaker 1: She's a capricorn.
- 21:55Speaker 2: Yeah, she's very practical, is what she says. But she
- 21:58Speaker 2: says the reason why she wants everything to be perfect
- 22:00Speaker 2: now so she doesn't have to spend extra money later
- 22:03Speaker 2: down the road to make it perfect. That makes no
- 22:07Speaker 2: fucking sense.
- 22:07Speaker 1: No, And you don't have the money for it, no, so.
- 22:10Speaker 2: Wait until you have the money for it, and then
- 22:12Speaker 2: you can do the upgrades.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Well, she starts shorting out and her wall go up.
- 22:18Speaker 1: My walls are up, and she's like, I'm just gonna
- 22:21Speaker 1: step out and Mona, would it be okay if you
- 22:23Speaker 1: meet with the other wives and I'll come in at
- 22:24Speaker 1: the end and we can talk about it then. And
- 22:26Speaker 1: she's near tears and or crying after.
- 22:29Speaker 2: She's already fighting with Cody in front of these people.
- 22:31Speaker 1: You have no options, like this, is it like pick
- 22:33Speaker 1: your dumb carpet, your basic carpet, pick your basic tile,
- 22:36Speaker 1: and get up on out of here and leave it right.
- 22:39Speaker 1: But she doesn't want it. She wants the good stuff, yes,
- 22:40Speaker 1: and she wants to actually take it from another wife
- 22:43Speaker 1: in order to get it, which we will get to.
- 22:45Speaker 2: Uh huh, well, because the next wife we have is Janelle, right,
- 22:48Speaker 2: and Janelle is also easy breezy. She's like whatever. She's like, oh,
- 22:51Speaker 2: I'm over budget with the concrete slab, Fine, we won't
- 22:54Speaker 2: do it. I'll just diyat it's cool.
- 22:56Speaker 1: And Cody's like, our kids are gonna be bringing into
- 23:00Speaker 1: the house directly into the carpet if you don't put
- 23:02Speaker 1: a concrete patch. She's like, I'll figure it out.
- 23:04Speaker 2: I'll do it later.
- 23:05Speaker 1: It'll be fine. Yeah, she has no problem going without,
- 23:08Speaker 1: unlike Mary. Then we bring in Christine. Now Christine is
- 23:11Speaker 1: under budget, she's got some room, yep, she has some options.
- 23:16Speaker 1: And Cody says, well, maybe you can kick some of
- 23:18Speaker 1: that overage toward Mary because she's over budget, and he
- 23:23Speaker 1: kind of laughs about it as if it's a joke,
- 23:25Speaker 1: and Christine's like, well, let me see what we have first,
- 23:28Speaker 1: and she's like, I'm very interested in getting some stone
- 23:31Speaker 1: on the outside of the house. And then Cody brings
- 23:36Speaker 1: it up again because Christine's going to make the choice
- 23:39Speaker 1: for the stone on the exterior of the home, and
- 23:42Speaker 1: Cody's like, well, I mean maybe we can think about
- 23:45Speaker 1: it because Mary is over budget and we can use
- 23:48Speaker 1: that money for Mary. And this makes Christine feel bad
- 23:52Speaker 1: and she's like, well, let's look at the prices and
- 23:54Speaker 1: then I'll make a decision, but I'm probably going to
- 23:56Speaker 1: be selfish and choose the stone that I want and
- 23:58Speaker 1: not give it to Mary. And then on the couch
- 24:01Speaker 1: they have a discussion about it and Christine apologizes to
- 24:04Speaker 1: Mary like I'm sorry, Like I know that's selfish, and
- 24:06Speaker 1: Mary's like, don't be sorry. I'm the one who's over
- 24:08Speaker 1: budget over here. Yeah, and Cody's like, well, I was
- 24:11Speaker 1: just joking. I didn't mean it, no, but you did
- 24:14Speaker 1: mean it. And then we have Janelle saying, I don't care.
- 24:20Speaker 1: As long as you're not taking out of my fund
- 24:22Speaker 1: to fund your bullshit, I'm fine. As long as I
- 24:24Speaker 1: get what I need, I'm fine. Which my inference from
- 24:27Speaker 1: that is that there's been a precedent here, like in
- 24:31Speaker 1: the past, Mary has one hundred percent dipped into the
- 24:35Speaker 1: funds of the other wives to I don't know, pay
- 24:39Speaker 1: for her food, pay for furniture, furniture, for rent, and
- 24:43Speaker 1: it's been unfair.
- 24:44Speaker 2: Oh totally. And it's probably been Janelle having to take
- 24:48Speaker 2: the sacrifice, because it seems like Janelle's kind of a
- 24:51Speaker 2: sacrificing person, like she'll give up what she wants just
- 24:55Speaker 2: to save for like the greater good, whereas Christine's a
- 24:59Speaker 2: little bit more hard headed. Probably Christine probably in the
- 25:02Speaker 2: past was like, I'm homeschooling a million fucking kids, like
- 25:05Speaker 2: you're not taking my money for groceries, Like you're not
- 25:08Speaker 2: taking my money to help with kids' school supplies, like
- 25:11Speaker 2: fuck you. So it probably had to be Janelle and
- 25:13Speaker 2: now the tables have turned, and now Cody's trying to
- 25:16Speaker 2: get Christine to give up some of her money because
- 25:19Speaker 2: she conveniently is under budget. Bitch, no miss me with that.
- 25:25Speaker 2: And then we have Mary making her decisions and she
- 25:28Speaker 2: ends up being like four grand over budget.
- 25:31Speaker 1: Thirty six sixty five over budget. She has to bring
- 25:34Speaker 1: Robin ann so that Cody will feel compelled. Yeh, did
- 25:38Speaker 1: not get up in her ass about that. But Mary
- 25:41Speaker 1: says something like, well, but don't worry about it. I'll
- 25:43Speaker 1: pay for that out of my own funds. And I'm like,
- 25:45Speaker 1: what funds?
- 25:46Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 25:46Speaker 1: Like what you don't have a job.
- 25:48Speaker 2: Don't have a job.
- 25:48Speaker 1: Your fund is TLC. All of your payments go into
- 25:52Speaker 1: one account. It's the family LLC. So what funds are
- 25:55Speaker 1: you talking about? Christy are going to pay for this?
- 25:58Speaker 1: It doesn't make any sense you don't have a job.
- 26:00Speaker 2: I feel like there's some money laundering going around in
- 26:03Speaker 2: this family. I feel like Cody probably moved money around
- 26:07Speaker 2: a lot, like not just between him and Robin, but
- 26:09Speaker 2: I feel like he was moving it around between all
- 26:11Speaker 2: the wives, Like if he's the beneficiary of all of
- 26:13Speaker 2: these accounts or whatever. Yeah, he's a fiduciary of it. No,
- 26:20Speaker 2: it's fine. Then he's probably moving it all around. Sure,
- 26:24Speaker 2: he's probably making agreements with some of the wives and
- 26:27Speaker 2: not saying anything like if he thinks like, oh, it's fine,
- 26:31Speaker 2: a couple hundred dollars here and there, whatever, it's fine,
- 26:33Speaker 2: Like that's probably what he did.
- 26:34Speaker 1: And the reason Janelle is but heart is because she's
- 26:36Speaker 1: the one who's actually doing the record and the accounting,
- 26:39Speaker 1: and she sees how he moves it around. Because if
- 26:41Speaker 1: you recall, I don't know, two seasons ago, she's like, well,
- 26:44Speaker 1: I see where that money goes, and that money doesn't
- 26:46Speaker 1: need to be going to all of these things. It
- 26:47Speaker 1: could be allocated in different ways. So she sees what
- 26:50Speaker 1: he's doing when he's moving his little shell game, his
- 26:52Speaker 1: little shells around. But he's the patriarch, so the buck
- 26:56Speaker 1: stops with him. He can do what he wants. So
- 26:59Speaker 1: I'm just wondering where this money's gonna come from, then, Christine,
- 27:03Speaker 1: I don't think so. I think Christine used every last
- 27:05Speaker 1: dollar that she hoped to get all of the things
- 27:08Speaker 1: that she wanted. I think she's unwilling to share with
- 27:10Speaker 1: Mary because I think in the past she's been forced
- 27:12Speaker 1: to do so, yeah, and so has Janelle, and Mary
- 27:14Speaker 1: is putting on this big show on the couch's like,
- 27:16Speaker 1: oh my god, don't feel selfish. Absolutely not. I'll pay
- 27:19Speaker 1: for it myself. I'm the one who's over budget. But
- 27:23Speaker 1: when you break down the logistics, it's going to have
- 27:25Speaker 1: to come out of the family fund at the end of.
- 27:27Speaker 2: The day, totally. And this is probably why Mary is
- 27:29Speaker 2: resentful over Janelle and Christine as well, because she feels
- 27:32Speaker 2: like she's judged or criticized. And Mary probably takes it
- 27:36Speaker 2: personally because she has one kid, like she probably uses
- 27:39Speaker 2: that as an excuse all the time to justify why
- 27:43Speaker 2: she needs to be forty six hundred dollars over budget
- 27:45Speaker 2: in her house. And then on the couch again, it's
- 27:47Speaker 2: the same bullshit, like, well, I had to have the
- 27:49Speaker 2: wet bar because they like to entertain, and in order
- 27:52Speaker 2: to have the wet bar, I have to have the
- 27:54Speaker 2: pea and tree in the fifth bedroom in the hobby room.
- 27:57Speaker 2: So I have to have all these things and my
- 27:59Speaker 2: French doors.
- 28:00Speaker 1: Hmmm. It's like and then we learn at the end
- 28:03Speaker 1: of this episode information that I didn't know, which is
- 28:06Speaker 1: that Leon is actually leaving at the end of this
- 28:08Speaker 1: school year. So Leon is only going to be in
- 28:11Speaker 1: this finished house for like six months, and then Mary
- 28:14Speaker 1: is in an empty nest. Yeah, with five fucking bedrooms,
- 28:18Speaker 1: a hobby room, a pantry, a wet bar, and French doors,
- 28:22Speaker 1: and over budget and having the fact. It's just so unreasonable.
- 28:27Speaker 1: It's so unreasonable. And even though she may not be
- 28:30Speaker 1: dipping into the funds of the other wives, I would
- 28:32Speaker 1: still be pissed if I'm Christine, I would still be
- 28:35Speaker 1: pissed if I'm Janelle.
- 28:36Speaker 2: Oh for sure.
- 28:37Speaker 1: It's like, you don't need all.
- 28:38Speaker 2: Of this now.
- 28:38Speaker 1: And as we said so many times before, people probably
- 28:41Speaker 1: hate me because I'm such a broken record. Install your
- 28:43Speaker 1: wet bar after the fact, just like Janelle's gonna install
- 28:47Speaker 1: her concrete pad. He why do is hire a contractor?
- 28:50Speaker 1: It's not a big fucking deal.
- 28:52Speaker 2: She doesn't want to have to deal with that. She
- 28:54Speaker 2: wants it to be perfect. And I can't remember if
- 28:56Speaker 2: I mentioned this a couple episodes ago or not. I
- 28:58Speaker 2: saw this on Reddit. Somebody had made comment about why
- 29:01Speaker 2: Mary's so particular about having her house and everything be
- 29:05Speaker 2: so fucking perfect. It's like a coping mechanism. She's doing
- 29:08Speaker 2: it because her life isn't perfect, her marriage isn't perfect,
- 29:11Speaker 2: she couldn't have her perfect eight kid family, like she
- 29:15Speaker 2: is struggling mentally, probably, and so that's why she's like
- 29:18Speaker 2: focusing so much on this stupid fucking wet bar and
- 29:21Speaker 2: this big ass house. But it's like, girl, go to
- 29:25Speaker 2: therapy quick, coping this house that you're gonna be in
- 29:29Speaker 2: by yourself because your husband's not gonna fuck you anymore.
- 29:32Speaker 1: After this, especially if hasn't been fucking her no.
- 29:36Speaker 2: And I think like the whole IVF like trying to
- 29:38Speaker 2: figure out if she's gonna make a decision. I think
- 29:41Speaker 2: that's him being like, we're not gonna fuck anymore. If
- 29:44Speaker 2: you don't want to have a kid, we're not gonna
- 29:45Speaker 2: fuck anymore. Really, we're not gonna have an intimate relationship.
- 29:48Speaker 2: I bet that's what it is.
- 29:50Speaker 1: I don't think they are having an intimate relationship based
- 29:52Speaker 1: on the things that Mary is saying in twenty twenty three,
- 29:55Speaker 1: twenty twenty four. I think they're already not doing it.
- 29:57Speaker 1: But it may be his formal declaration like yeah, I'm
- 30:00Speaker 1: cutting this dick off, that's what I'm They can get
- 30:02Speaker 1: in this pencil, wet, this pencil is mine and only
- 30:04Speaker 1: for Robin.
- 30:05Speaker 2: Yep. And that's probably why she goes back and forth,
- 30:09Speaker 2: because it's like, well, do I want to try and
- 30:10Speaker 2: have a kid and have it fail? Like, no, she
- 30:13Speaker 2: doesn't have to go through that heartbreak. But I don't know.
- 30:15Speaker 2: I just think Mary's like a crazy fucking person and
- 30:19Speaker 2: there's a whole house debacle on my girl. You're insane.
- 30:22Speaker 1: That's an interesting idea that she would be using her
- 30:26Speaker 1: physical space in order to have some control in her life,
- 30:31Speaker 1: because her out of controllness shows up in different ways
- 30:34Speaker 1: in her life. So it's just maybe something she feels
- 30:37Speaker 1: like she can do to get her away to have
- 30:39Speaker 1: something nice for herself because what she wanted, what she
- 30:43Speaker 1: needed from her husband, from her family has been taken
- 30:45Speaker 1: away from her, like through every fault of her own.
- 30:48Speaker 1: By the way, Oh, I mean, she absolutely contributed to
- 30:51Speaker 1: the reason people feel the way that they do about her.
- 30:53Speaker 1: But at the same time, Cody and Robin and everything
- 30:56Speaker 1: that's going on, I mean, I feel for her. Yeah,
- 30:58Speaker 1: this isn't a great coping mechanism, and I'm just not
- 31:01Speaker 1: sure how you're funding this. It really doesn't make any
- 31:04Speaker 1: sense to me.
- 31:05Speaker 2: It makes no sense and I wish we could get
- 31:06Speaker 2: into the coins, but we won't.
- 31:09Speaker 1: Bummer.
- 31:10Speaker 2: And then we have Mary making a family video for Logan.
- 31:14Speaker 2: I'm a snory and I mean, like, I guess it's
- 31:18Speaker 2: cute or whatever, it's kind of cringey because, like, you know,
- 31:22Speaker 2: an eighteen year old boy who just wants to go
- 31:23Speaker 2: to college and get out of his family house. He
- 31:25Speaker 2: doesn't give a fuck.
- 31:26Speaker 1: I don't want your quilt, bitch.
- 31:27Speaker 2: I don't want the quilt too. I'm like, Okay, so
- 31:31Speaker 2: you're spending all this money on these houses, yeah, and
- 31:34Speaker 2: you can't get me like a mini fridge, yeah for
- 31:36Speaker 2: my dorm room, a Starbucks card, I mean something subway
- 31:40Speaker 2: like what You're gonna make me a quilt.
- 31:43Speaker 1: That I am gonna be too embarrassed to display. How
- 31:47Speaker 1: am I gonna get down with some shoddy exactly? If
- 31:50Speaker 1: I have got this fucking family, it's not going to work.
- 31:54Speaker 2: My dad's weird photos staring at me with.
- 31:57Speaker 1: His be a godly man, God Jesus. We're jumping ahead
- 32:02Speaker 1: a little bit, but yeah, Mary has got her sony
- 32:04Speaker 1: handicam out and she's sucking it up.
- 32:06Speaker 2: And doesn't record. I don't care. Yeah.
- 32:08Speaker 1: And then we move on to the balding part.
- 32:10Speaker 2: Let's get to that. Cody gets a hair cut, and
- 32:13Speaker 2: this was great.
- 32:14Speaker 1: A long segment. This was about his balding.
- 32:17Speaker 2: Good. The producers did him dirty.
- 32:19Speaker 1: Loved it.
- 32:20Speaker 2: I loved it because this hairstylist who's paid for by
- 32:23Speaker 2: TLZ is doing his hair and she's like, you know what, Cody,
- 32:26Speaker 2: your hair is thinning really bad.
- 32:29Speaker 1: Just in the last year since I've been cutting it,
- 32:31Speaker 1: you have lost a ton of hair, dude, Like, look
- 32:33Speaker 1: at all this skin right here, got all the skin
- 32:36Speaker 1: from where you're balding. And Cody's acting like he knows
- 32:40Speaker 1: and he's okay with it, and I get it, but
- 32:42Speaker 1: you know, deep down, oh my god, it hurts so bad.
- 32:45Speaker 1: He's got period pain. Oh it's always got cramps. Honey,
- 32:49Speaker 1: He's in pain.
- 32:50Speaker 2: And then he wants us to believe that the reason
- 32:52Speaker 2: why he has his hair long is because the wives
- 32:55Speaker 2: all love it, because they love this like shaggy surfer
- 32:58Speaker 2: look that I have going on here. Love it.
- 33:01Speaker 1: Okay, I don't know that that's the look that you're
- 33:04Speaker 1: actually achieving, says the woman from Hawaii.
- 33:07Speaker 2: You've never served in life, and I mean I think.
- 33:11Speaker 1: I think he should have shaved it. And for a
- 33:13Speaker 1: second there I wondered if he was going to do that.
- 33:15Speaker 2: I hoped he was not going to.
- 33:17Speaker 1: I don't think Janelle wants it to be short. I
- 33:19Speaker 1: don't think Christine likes it short. I don't think any
- 33:21Speaker 1: of them actually want him to shave it.
- 33:24Speaker 2: I don't know how any of anybody could be attracted
- 33:26Speaker 2: to him.
- 33:27Speaker 1: Long or short in any form at all. But like,
- 33:30Speaker 1: imagine if he shaved it, he had a buzz cut,
- 33:32Speaker 1: but like a really close buzz cut. Sure, and he
- 33:34Speaker 1: grew like a fucking Sons of Anarchy beard. He wants
- 33:37Speaker 1: to be a manly man. What if you got a tattoo? Yeah,
- 33:39Speaker 1: I mean if you've got a piercing or something like that,
- 33:42Speaker 1: it would be it would be better than what we
- 33:44Speaker 1: got going on right now. It would be a lot
- 33:45Speaker 1: with your tufts of hair, I mean wind blowing. Oh
- 33:49Speaker 1: my god.
- 33:49Speaker 2: He even calls it what it is, a comb over.
- 33:52Speaker 2: He's like, it's literally a combover. Yeah, we know we've
- 33:54Speaker 2: been seeing it, but like we haven't even gotten to
- 33:56Speaker 2: like the best hair years of him yet. Have you've
- 34:00Speaker 2: seen the ones where his hair is super fucking long? Yes,
- 34:02Speaker 2: And straightened to filthy.
- 34:04Speaker 1: Yes, it is so terrible. I can't wait for those
- 34:08Speaker 1: so bad. It's really bad, but I mean it's not
- 34:11Speaker 1: worse than what we currently have with the Shirley Temple
- 34:15Speaker 1: curly cue curly girl method.
- 34:17Speaker 2: Oh yeah, no four, this is the worst, right, this
- 34:20Speaker 2: one's really bad. Well, it's because he has no hair,
- 34:22Speaker 2: Like his hair is even more like thin, even more thin,
- 34:27Speaker 2: even thinner now than it is in twenty thirteen.
- 34:31Speaker 1: And he seems to understand he ain't got no hair
- 34:33Speaker 1: in twenty twelve, twenty thirteen.
- 34:35Speaker 2: But he says, he's so attached to it.
- 34:37Speaker 1: We know, yeah, we've seen it. We can tell the
- 34:41Speaker 1: various iterations over the years, honey.
- 34:43Speaker 2: And then he gets all fucking triggered because Maddie at
- 34:46Speaker 2: the family breakfast the next day is like, Dad, you're balding,
- 34:49Speaker 2: and he's like, shut up, Like he.
- 34:51Speaker 1: Just had his hair? Did he got his hair? Did?
- 34:53Speaker 1: It was all styled. He goes down to the breakfast
- 34:56Speaker 1: tables they can have a family moment before Logan gets
- 34:58Speaker 1: shipped off to college, and the first thing Maddy says is,
- 35:01Speaker 1: oh my god, you're Baldaddy, and he's like, don't say that.
- 35:04Speaker 1: That's rude.
- 35:06Speaker 2: That is so funny.
- 35:07Speaker 1: I loved it. And then on the couch, Maddy's like, yeah.
- 35:09Speaker 2: He's bald, he's super bald.
- 35:11Speaker 1: He's pretending he's not bald, but he is.
- 35:14Speaker 2: You know, And I actually have like a funny uncensored
- 35:17Speaker 2: for this.
- 35:18Speaker 1: All right, let's get back from uncensored. And by the way,
- 35:22Speaker 1: if you want to hear all of our uncensored bits, honey,
- 35:24Speaker 1: you got to go to the Patreon and you got
- 35:26Speaker 1: to subscribe, by the way. Oh and never mind, I
- 35:27Speaker 1: was going to give you a discount, but I forgot
- 35:29Speaker 1: about I didn't set it up yet. Can't be bothered,
- 35:32Speaker 1: it's too much. But we're back talking about Cody Balding,
- 35:38Speaker 1: Cody Balding Brown, Maddie calling him out. He's but hurt,
- 35:44Speaker 1: he's getting sensitive, and we see in the arc of
- 35:47Speaker 1: the seasons from this point on how he starts to
- 35:50Speaker 1: overcompensate for his drastic balding, his catastrophic balding journey. He
- 35:57Speaker 1: starts to overcompensate and hide it even more.
- 36:00Speaker 2: Oh yeah, for sure, yeah, and then acts like he
- 36:02Speaker 2: isn't anymore. Like even now with some of the photos
- 36:05Speaker 2: that have come out in twenty twenty four of the
- 36:07Speaker 2: whole cold de sac going on right up here with
- 36:10Speaker 2: the two pieces of hair just kind of hanging on
- 36:12Speaker 2: for dear life right here.
- 36:13Speaker 1: Why doesn't he just get one of those hair transplants
- 36:16Speaker 1: for men. I mean, I think it's like, what twenty
- 36:18Speaker 1: thousand dollars. I'm sure he's got the money for it.
- 36:21Speaker 2: Sometimes those fail, like it it requires like healthy follicles
- 36:25Speaker 2: and shit, and like sometimes it fails. I've known guys
- 36:27Speaker 2: who've gotten that done, like in their twenties because they
- 36:30Speaker 2: were balding hardcore and they were super self conscious and.
- 36:34Speaker 1: I hear it's really painful those yeah.
- 36:36Speaker 2: And you're swollen and shit, and you look like really
- 36:40Speaker 2: weird because you.
- 36:40Speaker 1: Got all these party part time.
- 36:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:42Speaker 1: But you would think for him, like he's so vain,
- 36:45Speaker 1: he's so attached to his celebrity, and he's got a
- 36:48Speaker 1: little pocket change, he's got that Lexus money, honey. You'd
- 36:51Speaker 1: think he would get some transplant action and try and
- 36:54Speaker 1: work that out.
- 36:54Speaker 2: And people are thinking he's got fillers and shit. I mean,
- 36:57Speaker 2: so it wouldn't put it past him. But maybe he's
- 37:00Speaker 2: just too old for that. Maybe they're like, you know what,
- 37:02Speaker 2: you're ancient, you're not gonna be able to have air anymore.
- 37:06Speaker 1: Well, but he's curling his hair as hard as he can.
- 37:09Speaker 1: He's curling his hair like it is his job. Like
- 37:11Speaker 1: that's all he does twenty four to seven is find
- 37:13Speaker 1: new ways to curl his fucking hair. He's very sensitive
- 37:16Speaker 1: about it.
- 37:17Speaker 2: He should just get a translat yeah, he should.
- 37:19Speaker 1: Anyway, back to the show.
- 37:21Speaker 2: Yeah, so then we have Mary making that dumb video
- 37:25Speaker 2: for Logan where he did that. Yeah, well we talked
- 37:28Speaker 2: about it. And then they show the video and they
- 37:31Speaker 2: give him his quilt, right, and he's like, oh, wow,
- 37:34Speaker 2: thanks for this lovely gift. Again. Should have gotten to
- 37:37Speaker 2: the minifridge that would have been great, or like a laptop.
- 37:39Speaker 1: Yeah, like, come on top, I mean money, give me
- 37:42Speaker 1: one thousand dollars my bank, I can start a bank account.
- 37:44Speaker 1: Would be so fantastic.
- 37:46Speaker 2: Yeah, but like something way better, like a quilt.
- 37:49Speaker 1: He does sit down on the floor, though, and he
- 37:50Speaker 1: does watch the entire video with all of the kids
- 37:53Speaker 1: telling stories about their memories of Logan, and you can
- 37:56Speaker 1: really see in the flashbacks just how parentify and therefore
- 38:01Speaker 1: abused he was by those adults in that house yet
- 38:04Speaker 1: and how all of the kids are going to miss them,
- 38:06Speaker 1: and they're crying, they're unhappy, and he says something like,
- 38:09Speaker 1: what I'm going to miss about my family is also
- 38:13Speaker 1: what I need to get away from, which is their chaos. Yes,
- 38:16Speaker 1: and the chaos. It's so crazy and it's so disorganized,
- 38:19Speaker 1: and somebody's always screaming and there's always something happening. But
- 38:22Speaker 1: at the same time, the chaos is the life of
- 38:24Speaker 1: the family. Yeah, so I'm gonna miss it, but I
- 38:26Speaker 1: also really want to get away from it.
- 38:28Speaker 2: And that's totally fucking fair. I mean, this is a
- 38:31Speaker 2: rite of passage, Like everybody needs to leave the nest eventually,
- 38:34Speaker 2: especially when you're a parentified child, like you want to
- 38:37Speaker 2: get the fuck out and just have your own independence.
- 38:40Speaker 2: So I'm sure he was like saying it with all
- 38:44Speaker 2: the love he had, but at the same time, he's like,
- 38:46Speaker 2: give me the fuck out of here.
- 38:47Speaker 1: Don't you have the feeling that he knows he was
- 38:49Speaker 1: parentified not the therapeutic term, but don't you think he
- 38:52Speaker 1: knows that they asked a lot of him and he's
- 38:55Speaker 1: ready to go.
- 38:55Speaker 2: I feel like every oldest child knows that. Like I
- 38:58Speaker 2: was the oldest child, I totally the mom Like that's
- 39:02Speaker 2: like a thing that you deal with a lot of
- 39:04Speaker 2: the time, especially in like a dysfunctional, crazy family, Like
- 39:06Speaker 2: I didn't have a big family, but I was doing everything,
- 39:09Speaker 2: so like you know, you know in your teen years
- 39:13Speaker 2: that you're fucking doing everything. And even Janelle brings it
- 39:15Speaker 2: up on the couch, She's like, he's been such an
- 39:17Speaker 2: instrumental part and like getting all of the kids ready
- 39:20Speaker 2: for school and like taking care of everything while I
- 39:23Speaker 2: work and Christine takes care of the littles or whatever.
- 39:27Speaker 2: Like so she admits it, but I'm like, are you
- 39:29Speaker 2: telling that to your son, Like I'm sure it would
- 39:31Speaker 2: mean a lot to hear from his mom.
- 39:33Speaker 1: I bet Janelle has said that, I know, seems like
- 39:36Speaker 1: she loves him so much, and she even says in
- 39:38Speaker 1: her video component her part of the video, she's like,
- 39:42Speaker 1: I want you to go there. I want you to
- 39:43Speaker 1: study hard, but I want you to play hard. Like
- 39:45Speaker 1: she really wants him to have a great experience and
- 39:49Speaker 1: become his own individual, even though she's worried because she's
- 39:52Speaker 1: scared he's not going to be a Mormon. Even though
- 39:54Speaker 1: she's worried because she's scared he's gonna hook up with
- 39:57Speaker 1: women and do all of the things that he's already
- 39:59Speaker 1: been doing that probably, but she lets him go. Yeah,
- 40:03Speaker 1: so I think she loves him so much, and I
- 40:05Speaker 1: do think Janelle is probably telling him that.
- 40:07Speaker 2: I hope so. But then Cody and his segment is like, yeah,
- 40:11Speaker 2: you're a decent individual. Yeah, Like, can we use any
- 40:14Speaker 2: other word? Can't you just be like you're an amazing son? No?
- 40:18Speaker 2: You can't.
- 40:18Speaker 1: No, But that's about it. Well, but then they want
- 40:21Speaker 1: to hold on to Logan for a few hours more,
- 40:24Speaker 1: and so they're like, let's go back to the call
- 40:26Speaker 1: to Sack because they're butting the walls up. And then
- 40:29Speaker 1: we have these this weird part where we're starting to
- 40:33Speaker 1: talk about IVF again. Yeah. I think it's because they're
- 40:37Speaker 1: talking about getting into the homes by Christmas and whether
- 40:40Speaker 1: they can do that. And then we kind of go
- 40:43Speaker 1: back to Cody asking Mary to make a decision about
- 40:47Speaker 1: IVF by the time that they're in their homes, and
- 40:51Speaker 1: so we're having this discussion again about whether she wants
- 40:53Speaker 1: to do it or not, and I'm just like, I'm
- 40:54Speaker 1: so over it.
- 40:55Speaker 2: I'm so tired, so tired of it, Like, what do
- 40:58Speaker 2: you expect from Mary? She doesn't want to have a.
- 41:00Speaker 1: And another flashback of Robin on her birthing bed. I
- 41:05Speaker 1: mean this with my whole Oh my god, we get it, Robin,
- 41:09Speaker 1: you're a saint, of course, cap in hand.
- 41:13Speaker 2: Yes, she came into this family. Yeah, I thought that
- 41:16Speaker 2: was weird that Cody brought that up again. And then
- 41:18Speaker 2: we're at the cul de Sac and then we're talking
- 41:19Speaker 2: about family mission statements. Because we want to be just
- 41:22Speaker 2: like the Dargers, right, because they're so much better than
- 41:24Speaker 2: us is basically the subtext there.
- 41:26Speaker 1: Yeah. I think that they met with the Dargers and
- 41:28Speaker 1: Cody started thinking of all the content that they could
- 41:31Speaker 1: create for the show by having a mission statement and
- 41:34Speaker 1: a time capsule and all of these things that they
- 41:37Speaker 1: could do, none of which seems very genuine.
- 41:40Speaker 2: No, not at all. And I think they end up
- 41:42Speaker 2: doing a mission statement later they do.
- 41:43Speaker 1: And they do a time capsule, and then they have
- 41:45Speaker 1: a recommitment ceremony or a commitment ceremony. They do all
- 41:48Speaker 1: of these things. They have all of these events in
- 41:51Speaker 1: order to create content. But are they happy underneath that?
- 41:54Speaker 1: I don't think so, because I think as soon as
- 41:56Speaker 1: they get into the Call to Sac, Cody starts staying
- 42:00Speaker 1: dominantly with Robin.
- 42:01Speaker 2: Oh yeah. And there was actually a clip going on
- 42:04Speaker 2: going around on Reddit recently from one of these seasons.
- 42:07Speaker 2: I think it's like six, seven, eight, something like that,
- 42:10Speaker 2: where Janelle in the Vegas homes is calling Cody out
- 42:14Speaker 2: for favoring Robin and she's like, I just hope you
- 42:16Speaker 2: don't leave us all behind, and he's like reassuring her
- 42:19Speaker 2: and holding her hand and.
- 42:19Speaker 1: He's like that, no, that's when Mary's going to get
- 42:21Speaker 1: a divorce from him and he's gonna make Robin the
- 42:24Speaker 1: legal wife. And Janelle is the one calling it out.
- 42:26Speaker 1: It's got the longest history with Mary, but it's Janelle
- 42:29Speaker 1: who's like, I'm worried about that. Yep, I don't know
- 42:31Speaker 1: if I can trust that and lo and behold you can't. Nope, yep.
- 42:35Speaker 2: So she called it out, yes, all these seasons ago.
- 42:37Speaker 2: But same with Christine, she's been calling it too well.
- 42:40Speaker 1: I did peep season six and it looks like we're
- 42:43Speaker 1: still in construction. We're waiting for Loans to come through.
- 42:46Speaker 1: Season six has like seventeen anisodes.
- 42:48Speaker 2: It's a really long season and I think my sister
- 42:50Speaker 2: Rives closet's in there somewhere I'm pretty sure that's when
- 42:53Speaker 2: the Shark Tank episode is, which would be so good.
- 42:56Speaker 1: I think we're also debating anti polygamists in season, so
- 43:00Speaker 1: there's a lot more common. Yeah, we're definitely gonna stay
- 43:03Speaker 1: with it. However, when we have a live or a
- 43:07Speaker 1: current season of Sister Wives, we don't do the rewind Nope,
- 43:11Speaker 1: So we will wait to get into season six until
- 43:13Speaker 1: after nineteen is complete.
- 43:15Speaker 2: Beatrice, Yes, is that it?
- 43:17Speaker 1: That's all? Well, if you have anything else that you
- 43:20Speaker 1: want to say about this season or any other thoughts
- 43:22Speaker 1: before we get up on Ada here.
- 43:24Speaker 2: No, I'm excited for season nineteen. I'm like, give it
- 43:27Speaker 2: to me, Yeah, give it to me. Good.
- 43:29Speaker 1: I'm worried about it a little bit.
- 43:31Speaker 2: It's gonna be the same before.
- 43:32Speaker 1: I'm concerned about it a little bit. Like I'm already
- 43:34Speaker 1: feeling some kind of way, Like I shouldn't feel this
- 43:37Speaker 1: way because I know they're not going to live up
- 43:39Speaker 1: to it, but I want them to honor Garrison so much.
- 43:42Speaker 1: I want them to kind of change the narrative around
- 43:45Speaker 1: the kids and how they've been treated, and like, I
- 43:48Speaker 1: don't know, I just want them to take a different
- 43:50Speaker 1: tone with this season and based on the thing that
- 43:53Speaker 1: they released two days ago on TLC, and based on
- 43:56Speaker 1: what I'm seeing in the trailers, I'm like, I don't
- 43:58Speaker 1: think they're gonna do that. No, I think I'm just
- 44:00Speaker 1: gonna hate Cody so much more. And i think I'm
- 44:03Speaker 1: gonna be seeing through Robin so much more. And I'm
- 44:06Speaker 1: I'm nervous about that. Yeah, at the same time, I'm
- 44:09Speaker 1: excited to get into it.
- 44:10Speaker 2: I mean, I'm gonna watch it, of course, period, That's.
- 44:13Speaker 1: What we do. That's our job.
- 44:14Speaker 2: Like, even though I'm gonna be enraged the entire time
- 44:16Speaker 2: and spewing hate on this podcast, I'm still gonna watch it.
- 44:20Speaker 1: Yea and enjoy it. Are they gonna get to Garrison
- 44:22Speaker 1: in season nineteen?
- 44:23Speaker 2: That's what I'm like wondering. I wonder if they're gonna
- 44:25Speaker 2: have like previous footage and then maybe with Garrison's passing,
- 44:29Speaker 2: maybe we'll go to semi current time. Maybe they'll kind
- 44:32Speaker 2: of fast forward it.
- 44:33Speaker 1: What we're seeing in the trailer or whatever that was
- 44:37Speaker 1: two days ago from TLC where we have all of
- 44:39Speaker 1: the adults sitting down and describing what their interpretation of
- 44:42Speaker 1: joy is, et cetera, et cetera. That is recent footage. Yeah,
- 44:46Speaker 1: that is Cody recent and when you see how he
- 44:50Speaker 1: looks and when you hear his answers, even after the
- 44:53Speaker 1: passing of Garrison, this is months after Garrison has passed,
- 44:57Speaker 1: he has not fucking.
- 44:58Speaker 2: Changed, not at all. Yeah.
- 45:00Speaker 1: How do you lose your child under a situation where
- 45:03Speaker 1: you have culpability and responsibility totally? Yeah, because you didn't
- 45:07Speaker 1: take care of that child. And plus he was talking
- 45:09Speaker 1: to texting to TLC on the night of his passing.
- 45:12Speaker 1: How does that happen? And you're still showing up to
- 45:15Speaker 1: this preseason looking like an angry, red pilled in cell
- 45:19Speaker 1: that's married.
- 45:20Speaker 2: I don't know, maybe because he's drinking and he's a
- 45:23Speaker 2: piece of shit, Like he's not getting actual therapy, he's
- 45:26Speaker 2: not doing any kind of work on himself, he's not
- 45:28Speaker 2: doing any amount of self reflection. I mean, can we
- 45:31Speaker 2: fucking expect him to mean? I mean I thought hop yeah,
- 45:34Speaker 2: we thought he would a little bit after such a
- 45:38Speaker 2: tragic event, You would hope that you would grow up
- 45:42Speaker 2: and get your head out of your ass, But no,
- 45:44Speaker 2: it's Cody fucking brown yeat.
- 45:46Speaker 1: You would think it would disrupt the pattern to some degree,
- 45:49Speaker 1: or it would bring the family together, or there would
- 45:51Speaker 1: be like authentic conversations about what people need and how
- 45:54Speaker 1: we can heal. But it feels like nothing has changed.
- 45:56Speaker 1: He's just gotten angrier. We're just gonna have another season
- 46:00Speaker 1: filled with a lot of the old footage of Cody
