- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: This is a very special episode of the Almost Famous Podcast.
- 0:08Speaker 2: There's a lot to talk about today. We have love,
- 0:11Speaker 2: we have relationships, we have babies, we have future, we
- 0:14Speaker 2: have so much to cover. We have Blake and g
- 0:18Speaker 2: here obviously new parents. Before we dive into that though,
- 0:21Speaker 2: before we jump into that part, we do have to
- 0:23Speaker 2: talk about a friend of ours who had a big
- 0:27Speaker 2: announcement come out. I'll be honest, I didn't know it
- 0:30Speaker 2: wasn't public, so I'm glad they Jason and Kat team
- 0:37Speaker 2: just came out publicly with a hard launch. I'll be again,
- 0:42Speaker 2: I didn't know they weren't public, so I wasn't saying anymore.
- 0:44Speaker 3: Well, they've been pretty public.
- 0:46Speaker 1: They've been.
- 0:48Speaker 4: They've been like on vacation, They've been like just so
- 0:50Speaker 4: many places in public together. But I guess this is
- 0:53Speaker 4: their first time posting like any romantic y way like
- 0:57Speaker 4: on Instagram.
- 0:59Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, obviously, I think it's not been really
- 1:01Speaker 5: a secret by any meaning.
- 1:02Speaker 6: Honestly, it's kind of like us. Everybody kind of knew
- 1:05Speaker 6: we were.
- 1:05Speaker 5: Together, you know, post show, but we can like post
- 1:08Speaker 5: or anything until we finally did and then but but
- 1:10Speaker 5: I mean, yeah, I'm super happy for him, super happy
- 1:13Speaker 5: for her.
- 1:13Speaker 6: Obviously we've plung out with the two of them a
- 1:17Speaker 6: few times.
- 1:17Speaker 7: I love Venezuela.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Yeah, oh yeah, got that part. Yeah.
- 1:23Speaker 5: Yeah, they're a great match too.
- 1:28Speaker 6: She's high energy. She can match his energy for sure.
- 1:31Speaker 6: She's super high energy.
- 1:32Speaker 7: And she'll keep him on his toes. Yeah, not that
- 1:34Speaker 7: he needs it, but I just think that it'll be
- 1:38Speaker 7: They just like feed off of each other in a
- 1:40Speaker 7: really nice way. But they were just like in their bubble,
- 1:43Speaker 7: you know, they don't want their bubble to be popped.
- 1:45Speaker 7: And now I feel like they feel like I think
- 1:48Speaker 7: they feel like they're in a place now where it's
- 1:51Speaker 7: like you can say whatever you want, people can start,
- 1:54Speaker 7: you know, shooting off whatever speculations, et cetera, et cetera,
- 1:56Speaker 7: and it's not going to touch us because we've solidified
- 1:59Speaker 7: our relationships. So prosps for them to keep in that
- 2:02Speaker 7: little bubble. And they feel ready.
- 2:04Speaker 6: So they're gonna they're gonna crush the couple's content.
- 2:06Speaker 5: They're gonna crush Cat's super creative and Jason is so
- 2:10Speaker 5: be fun.
- 2:12Speaker 7: Funny, and she'll like take him out of his shell.
- 2:14Speaker 7: A little bit again, not that he needs a shell.
- 2:21Speaker 7: She's listen, it's different when.
- 2:23Speaker 6: You're tell you what.
- 2:25Speaker 7: We'll get a little bit of spice in his life.
- 2:28Speaker 4: Okay, So do we time stamp this because you guys
- 2:31Speaker 4: are way closer to him than I.
- 2:34Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 2:34Speaker 1: I had dinner with him in like December, I think.
- 2:37Speaker 4: Right with not December. Ben loves like no, No, Ben
- 2:42Speaker 4: is like Jared. He has like no sense of time.
- 2:44Speaker 1: I feel like it was December.
- 2:46Speaker 3: No, it was high. It was like March. Yeah, were
- 2:54Speaker 3: you guys there at the dinner with Ben?
- 2:55Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 2:55Speaker 5: Yeah, okay, March actually because I played I played a
- 3:01Speaker 5: show in Nashville and it was.
- 3:05Speaker 6: Right after I found out, and they were like pretty
- 3:08Speaker 6: brand new. Yeah. I want to say maybe maybe.
- 3:11Speaker 7: It was like Blake's got the receipts.
- 3:13Speaker 5: No, No, I'm looking at the calendar February, but I
- 3:17Speaker 5: think they're probably obviously talking before them. But I don't
- 3:19Speaker 5: know exactly, which is fun.
- 3:21Speaker 2: There should be careful saying dates because there's gonna be
- 3:25Speaker 2: like people are gonna be like they were hanging out
- 3:26Speaker 2: in December and there was crossover, and I'm like, no,
- 3:31Speaker 2: I just didn't know February.
- 3:33Speaker 6: We'll go with February.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Yeah, it's always a big step outside of everything else. Excited,
- 3:38Speaker 2: happy for them, they seem great, that's awesome. I understand
- 3:43Speaker 2: and never have a problem at all with somebody not
- 3:47Speaker 2: coming out publicly, Like it doesn't bother it. I don't
- 3:49Speaker 2: know why it bothers people because you're dating, like what
- 3:53Speaker 2: are you gonna do? Going your first day? And they
- 3:54Speaker 2: make hey, we need we should share that we took
- 3:56Speaker 2: a date together. But I do feel like when you're
- 3:59Speaker 2: in intentional about waiting, when you do finally announce it,
- 4:04Speaker 2: that is a sign that things are looking good, like
- 4:08Speaker 2: that you feel confident in what will become of your connection.
- 4:14Speaker 8: I agree, you don't go public unless you want to,
- 4:17Speaker 8: like intertwine a lot of your life, especially when your
- 4:21Speaker 8: life is on social like that, like their businesses aren't social.
- 4:24Speaker 7: So I just think that this is a very like
- 4:27Speaker 7: what you said, very big green flag that it could be,
- 4:32Speaker 7: could be, endgame.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Could be.
- 4:34Speaker 6: I always said, I remember because I.
- 4:35Speaker 5: Agree with you, and I remember saying after Paradise, I
- 4:38Speaker 5: was like, I am never going public with a woman
- 4:40Speaker 5: unless I intend to like marrying her.
- 4:45Speaker 7: I heard that I heard that podcast before yea before
- 4:47Speaker 7: we went public, and I was like, oh shit, oh no,
- 4:55Speaker 7: oh god, oh no.
- 4:57Speaker 3: So when's the wedding, guys, I knew, I know.
- 4:59Speaker 6: I was like, this is.
- 5:03Speaker 7: You know, there's yeah, yeah, there's some Oh no, we
- 5:06Speaker 7: just had a baby, so we're worried.
- 5:07Speaker 6: About the baby, keeping the baby alive.
- 5:09Speaker 4: First from there, Okay, so the baby was born two
- 5:15Speaker 4: months ago, yeah, two months ago.
- 5:18Speaker 6: Ten weeks roughly, I think he's ten weeks.
- 5:21Speaker 3: His name is Heath.
- 5:22Speaker 4: And I said, like, Keith was kind of on our
- 5:24Speaker 4: list for our next baby.
- 5:27Speaker 3: Yeah, we won't. We were not we're going to use it,
- 5:31Speaker 3: but because you guys.
- 5:32Speaker 4: Took it from her, I told I told Jared. I
- 5:36Speaker 4: was like, Heath is out because because Blake and g
- 5:39Speaker 4: already named their baby Keith. And he was like, we
- 5:42Speaker 4: could still do it because of them. I was like,
- 5:45Speaker 4: are you I don't know, Like I don't want to
- 5:46Speaker 4: be a name stealer. Plus, don't worry, it's not like
- 5:48Speaker 4: so high on the list that like I felt like
- 5:51Speaker 4: it was a steal.
- 5:52Speaker 3: It was not a steal.
- 5:54Speaker 6: Plus, Heath, you have the literation to the age eight Haben.
- 5:58Speaker 3: Yeah, we've been thinking.
- 5:59Speaker 4: Okay, I like Hayden and I think Hayden Haven is
- 6:02Speaker 4: too ridiculous.
- 6:03Speaker 6: Right, A little it's really close that.
- 6:06Speaker 3: You cannot do. It's too bad.
- 6:08Speaker 1: I think it's got some flow.
- 6:10Speaker 3: Yeah, really yeah.
- 6:12Speaker 5: The middle name would be big middle name would have
- 6:14Speaker 5: to be a big middle name. It'd have to be
- 6:15Speaker 5: in like a really good middle name.
- 6:17Speaker 3: To not to like break it up.
- 6:19Speaker 6: Yeah, just to break it up a little, a little
- 6:22Speaker 6: tongue nye.
- 6:24Speaker 3: All right, all right, keep it on a list.
- 6:26Speaker 4: How do you feel, I'm I'm like, it's just like
- 6:30Speaker 4: that depends on the hour at this point. You know,
- 6:32Speaker 4: like sometimes it's just like I'm so heavy and I'm
- 6:37Speaker 4: so like defeated and just like it's heaviness. Yeah, and
- 6:43Speaker 4: then there's sometimes where I am am pretty fine. But
- 6:48Speaker 4: I know that you enjoyed pregnancy, so good for you.
- 6:50Speaker 4: You and I had the absolute opposite pregnancies of all time,
- 6:53Speaker 4: because like you were one of the few people that
- 6:55Speaker 4: I've heard of that like enjoyed it.
- 6:58Speaker 7: I didn't think I would really terrified.
- 7:02Speaker 5: I thought for sure she would hate being pregnant and
- 7:05Speaker 5: it would be so rough, and she just hated all
- 7:07Speaker 5: but she loved all of it.
- 7:09Speaker 7: I was like waiting for the other shoot to drop.
- 7:11Speaker 7: I was just like, all right, like I'm waiting to
- 7:13Speaker 7: hate this ship.
- 7:13Speaker 3: And I I was so jealous.
- 7:15Speaker 7: Like it was I don't know then, it just it
- 7:18Speaker 7: is what it is.
- 7:19Speaker 3: And I just didn't have any symptoms that were overwhelming normal.
- 7:24Speaker 7: Yeah, tired, I just like a ton. I didn't get
- 7:28Speaker 7: morning sickness. I mean, I like you right like that.
- 7:33Speaker 7: I was waiting like I was waiting for it. I was,
- 7:35Speaker 7: you know, I would get dizzy, I would get like
- 7:37Speaker 7: a little bit of nauseous, but like I never like
- 7:39Speaker 7: fully threw up maybe like five times throughout the whole pregnancy.
- 7:42Speaker 7: And it's because I like a.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Tone traveling, you'll usually get a hit.
- 7:46Speaker 7: Yeah you got a hit out of it, but it
- 7:48Speaker 7: was you didn't have any like reat. I felt really
- 7:51Speaker 7: like feminine.
- 7:52Speaker 4: Yeah, you looked really feminine and beautiful, and I looked
- 7:57Speaker 4: so good.
- 7:59Speaker 7: I'm like, shit, I wish I was so pregnant right now.
- 8:01Speaker 7: I'm just like I'm trying to and to just you know,
- 8:05Speaker 7: just try not to take just trying to take the
- 8:07Speaker 7: pressure off of myself. But I'm like ready to just like.
- 8:13Speaker 6: Be back.
- 8:13Speaker 7: And I'm not.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Saying everybody has like their part.
- 8:17Speaker 6: Do you think I love her so much.
- 8:23Speaker 5: I mean, it's it's been hard to watch her be
- 8:26Speaker 5: like Okay, the baby's out, like I want to be back,
- 8:29Speaker 5: you know. And then and like there's that fine line
- 8:31Speaker 5: of being like encouraging her but not like being like yeah, and.
- 8:34Speaker 7: It's also like to shut the fuck up.
- 8:36Speaker 5: You know. It's like, baby, you're you're breastfeeding like I'm trying.
- 8:39Speaker 5: You know, You're just a fine line to be like
- 8:41Speaker 5: encouraging but not too much being like keep.
- 8:43Speaker 6: Trusting the gym if you want to, you know what
- 8:44Speaker 6: I mean.
- 8:44Speaker 5: There's like that fine line of being like okay, baby,
- 8:46Speaker 5: like do you want to come to the gym with
- 8:47Speaker 5: me today?
- 8:47Speaker 6: You're more than welcome like that.
- 8:49Speaker 7: So it's like my body feels good. I'm I'm emotionally healthy,
- 8:53Speaker 7: which I'm super super grateful for. Like again, I thought
- 8:56Speaker 7: I was going to be like PPD, Like I mean,
- 8:58Speaker 7: I could hit you like at any point, you know, yeah,
- 9:01Speaker 7: but I just feel pretty normal. So I want to
- 9:05Speaker 7: look like myself again, so that the two aren't really
- 9:08Speaker 7: clicking right now. So that's the hard part.
- 9:12Speaker 3: I got it. I got it for me with Dawson.
- 9:15Speaker 4: I thought that I thought that I bounced back super
- 9:20Speaker 4: quickly because the weight fell off really quickly. But then
- 9:23Speaker 4: I look back on pictures and I still wasn't myself
- 9:26Speaker 4: at all until like three or four months was part
- 9:31Speaker 4: of or like yeah, like I still had like serious
- 9:33Speaker 4: acne and stuff, but it was because it was better.
- 9:36Speaker 3: I was feeling like relieved.
- 9:38Speaker 7: So you got to take where they where they up.
- 9:41Speaker 5: Honestly, Yeah, it's been an insane obviously her experience. You know,
- 9:46Speaker 5: I can only speak to my experience, but like it's
- 9:47Speaker 5: been insane watching like what a woman's body can do.
- 9:50Speaker 3: It's so literally netty like it's.
- 9:53Speaker 5: The most itself. The birth itself was like the most
- 9:59Speaker 5: magical thing I've ever.
- 10:00Speaker 6: Been a part of.
- 10:01Speaker 7: I love giving birth.
- 10:02Speaker 5: It was so emotionally overwhelmed, like and I could see
- 10:05Speaker 5: like it was it's almost like the feeling I got anyway,
- 10:09Speaker 5: then I can only.
- 10:10Speaker 6: Speak to myself. It's almost like addicting.
- 10:12Speaker 5: Like I could see maybe why people like have a
- 10:14Speaker 5: big family and like being pregnant and having kids, because
- 10:17Speaker 5: like it is such an incredible feeling and it was.
- 10:20Speaker 6: It was awesome. I loved it so much.
- 10:32Speaker 2: Let me ask some follow ups here, did you expect
- 10:37Speaker 2: to feel that way or like when did I guess
- 10:39Speaker 2: for both of you, when did it hit you? I mean,
- 10:41Speaker 2: because this was not planned. Your your pregnancy was not planned.
- 10:44Speaker 2: It was a great scenario and how it worked. You
- 10:46Speaker 2: guys made the most most of it. But it wasn't
- 10:49Speaker 2: like you were planning to have a child at this
- 10:50Speaker 2: point in your lives, in this year, and so there's
- 10:54Speaker 2: a probably a little shock. I went out to dinner
- 10:57Speaker 2: with Blake and I was like, how did you guys respond?
- 10:58Speaker 2: He's like, we were good. It just it's new.
- 11:01Speaker 6: We didn't know.
- 11:03Speaker 1: All right, right, let's go.
- 11:05Speaker 2: So when did it hit you that you were like no,
- 11:08Speaker 2: I could see why, Like this is actually something awesome.
- 11:13Speaker 7: Something awesome. I had a rough couple of weeks just
- 11:16Speaker 7: again adjusting to like, whoa, my life is not all
- 11:21Speaker 7: mine anymore, you know. So that was August first we
- 11:25Speaker 7: found out, and then I think, like truly when we
- 11:28Speaker 7: told your family, we told his family in six weeks
- 11:31Speaker 7: and they were so happy and like jumping up and
- 11:35Speaker 7: down and just like it was the best news in
- 11:37Speaker 7: the entire world. And I was just like, wow, this
- 11:41Speaker 7: is because I felt like I was going to get
- 11:42Speaker 7: in trouble. I don't know, like my team helped, just like,
- 11:45Speaker 7: you know, I don't know kicked and I was like,
- 11:46Speaker 7: why do I feel like I'm gonna get in trouble
- 11:48Speaker 7: like that I'm pregnant right now? And my family just
- 11:50Speaker 7: reacted beautifully. But I think it was like when we
- 11:53Speaker 7: told your family that, I was like, Okay, I feel
- 11:57Speaker 7: pretty good. Everyone's super happy. Like just started embracing it
- 12:00Speaker 7: from there on.
- 12:02Speaker 6: Yeah, that embraced it pretty quick for me.
- 12:04Speaker 5: Yeah, pretty quickly, you know, and then you'll like figure
- 12:08Speaker 5: this out. But like for me, obviously we're not like
- 12:10Speaker 5: I was pregnant. My body isn't changing. I'm still doing
- 12:13Speaker 5: a lot of the things I was before. Like you know,
- 12:15Speaker 5: I didn't have to cut out alcohol, I didn't have
- 12:17Speaker 5: to cut out certain foods.
- 12:18Speaker 6: I didn't, you know. It was just like so nothing
- 12:20Speaker 6: changed for me for a really long time.
- 12:23Speaker 5: So and it's like I've talked about it, but it's
- 12:24Speaker 5: like this weird feeling of like, am I you know,
- 12:27Speaker 5: she's already so attached to the baby, she's already so
- 12:29Speaker 5: in love with the baby she's carrying it. They have
- 12:30Speaker 5: this attachment, this connection, and I didn't feel it. And
- 12:33Speaker 5: then obviously and like there's part of me that's like
- 12:36Speaker 5: what's wrong with me? Like why am I not there yet?
- 12:39Speaker 5: So I get you know, I would get emotional over that,
- 12:41Speaker 5: like I hope I love this baby, like you know,
- 12:43Speaker 5: for some reason, I'm not feeling it yet.
- 12:44Speaker 4: And jar never puts his hand on my belly like
- 12:47Speaker 4: it doesn't care. He does not care when it's like
- 12:49Speaker 4: no attachment.
- 12:51Speaker 6: Well, and then it's one of those things.
- 12:52Speaker 5: So you put my hand on the belly and he
- 12:53Speaker 5: stops kicking, and I was like, oh.
- 12:57Speaker 3: They will never kick for anyone other than the mom
- 13:00Speaker 3: So it's a.
- 13:01Speaker 5: Lot of weird emotions you're going through, and you know,
- 13:03Speaker 5: together us together. But everybody kept telling me like just
- 13:06Speaker 5: wait till the baby comes out, like just wait to
- 13:08Speaker 5: see him, just wait to make contact, way to touch him.
- 13:10Speaker 5: And I was like, okay, you know, like that's what
- 13:12Speaker 5: everybody says, but for me, it truly was that moment.
- 13:15Speaker 5: It was like the second I saw his little half
- 13:18Speaker 5: of his head, I just broke down. It was like instantly,
- 13:22Speaker 5: it was I'm getting instantly it was just like oh
- 13:25Speaker 5: my god, like that is my son, you know, and
- 13:27Speaker 5: I'm so craziest feeling. So that was that was like
- 13:31Speaker 5: really it was like a relief for me because I
- 13:34Speaker 5: was like, oh my god, I hope like I'm gonna
- 13:35Speaker 5: feel that way.
- 13:36Speaker 6: So it was really cool to feel that like right away.
- 13:38Speaker 5: And I know still there are our parents who don't.
- 13:39Speaker 5: There our dads, even our moms who don't. But for
- 13:41Speaker 5: me personally, that's my story and I was just like
- 13:43Speaker 5: immediately like thank.
- 13:44Speaker 7: God, I need to get there.
- 13:48Speaker 2: It's uh, see, I have a lot of but you know,
- 13:50Speaker 2: most of my friends at this point have had children,
- 13:52Speaker 2: and I have, you know, everybody who's on a spectrum.
- 13:54Speaker 2: I have a buddy who six months he's like, I
- 13:56Speaker 2: don't thee anything and he was like going crazy. He's
- 13:59Speaker 2: like I don't and then all of a sudden one day,
- 14:02Speaker 2: I don't know what it was, his son reached out
- 14:04Speaker 2: for him or something. He was like, oh okay, I
- 14:07Speaker 2: love this.
- 14:09Speaker 6: I don't know what to do.
- 14:12Speaker 5: Yeah, I've heard that even about moms. Sometimes it takes
- 14:14Speaker 5: you know, almost a year sometimes for them to be
- 14:16Speaker 5: fully because they're just so exhausted.
- 14:18Speaker 6: Yeah, so everybody's different. You know, everybody has a different story.
- 14:20Speaker 1: So it's, uh, how is your relationship changed?
- 14:23Speaker 2: I mean, now your parents, you have a third in
- 14:27Speaker 2: your family, how like what has been the ups and
- 14:29Speaker 2: downs of your of your romantic relationships since the birth?
- 14:35Speaker 3: You go, don't let then pressure you.
- 14:38Speaker 6: No, no, No, it's a good question.
- 14:41Speaker 5: I think we weren't sure, like you kind of said then,
- 14:43Speaker 5: like we didn't like this, you know, we didn't plan
- 14:46Speaker 5: to get pregnant.
- 14:47Speaker 7: He was a surprise.
- 14:48Speaker 6: Yeah, he was a surprise, the best surprise.
- 14:50Speaker 5: So I think like we I didn't know what to expect,
- 14:53Speaker 5: like after the the the pregnancy of the birth, because
- 14:57Speaker 5: like you said, everybody has different stories. But I mean
- 14:59Speaker 5: i've I mean I don't if anything. It's almost like
- 15:03Speaker 5: she became this like I don't know the word I'm
- 15:06Speaker 5: looking for sacred thing. It was like, is now she's
- 15:10Speaker 5: not my girlfriend or my whatever, She's like the mother
- 15:13Speaker 5: of my child. So like I always look I look
- 15:16Speaker 5: at her through a different lens now and that happens
- 15:19Speaker 5: pretty quick too, and especially seeing like what she went through,
- 15:22Speaker 5: whether it be through the pregancy and the birth and an
- 15:24Speaker 5: even post birth.
- 15:24Speaker 6: It's like all change a diaper, Like I saw how
- 15:28Speaker 6: much you went.
- 15:28Speaker 5: Through, Like I'll change a diaper all, you know, whatever
- 15:31Speaker 5: it is, so you just look through for me, you
- 15:34Speaker 5: look at her at least I look at her through
- 15:36Speaker 5: like a different lens, and it's no longer just like
- 15:38Speaker 5: you know a girlfriend or even at you know a wife.
- 15:41Speaker 6: It's like, oh my god, it's like the mother of
- 15:42Speaker 6: my child. It's like very different friends.
- 15:44Speaker 7: I am not a dirty, dirty girl anymore. You know, I'll
- 15:53Speaker 7: take it.
- 15:54Speaker 6: I guess I like that.
- 15:55Speaker 2: I mean it makes sense because you do like there
- 15:58Speaker 2: is a new lens of like connection too. I think,
- 16:01Speaker 2: I mean, the sacredness also would lead to you being
- 16:04Speaker 2: feeling closer because there is you know, the two of
- 16:08Speaker 2: you ran. You know, you have a unique dating history
- 16:11Speaker 2: where you ran two very separate lives for a bit
- 16:14Speaker 2: as you were dating and loving each other. But you're
- 16:16Speaker 2: running two separate lives now, like maybe the dependency is
- 16:19Speaker 2: a little bit more because you're both raising this child together,
- 16:22Speaker 2: which I think is beautiful when it happens naturally like that.
- 16:25Speaker 2: And I've really enjoyed watching the two of you through
- 16:28Speaker 2: the social media lens as parents. It has been really beautiful.
- 16:34Speaker 2: But I will say, gee, you are one of the
- 16:36Speaker 2: only people I've ever seen through social media that's made
- 16:39Speaker 2: pregnancy look so easy. I talk to Ashley every couple, couple.
- 16:44Speaker 3: Days usually social media. They do usually on social media.
- 16:48Speaker 4: It looks nice, sure, but not you know, I make
- 16:51Speaker 4: sure that I don't make it look.
- 16:55Speaker 7: It wasn't nice. I would have and you know all
- 16:57Speaker 7: the days that didn't feel nice, everything, I ye like, yeah,
- 17:01Speaker 7: you're transparent through it, even when I was in the
- 17:03Speaker 7: beginning where I was like listen, like I wasn't really
- 17:05Speaker 7: expecting this and it took me a while, and I've
- 17:08Speaker 7: been very transparent about it. It's just I happened to
- 17:13Speaker 7: have a pregnancy that treated me like and and.
- 17:19Speaker 3: I do not really never know what you're gonna get save.
- 17:22Speaker 6: It's not even per woman.
- 17:24Speaker 3: It's like per pregnancy, but maybe it is because like.
- 17:27Speaker 5: Ixt baby should be like no more, like.
- 17:31Speaker 7: It's that's so great.
- 17:33Speaker 4: You know, my first what like wrecked me, like you
- 17:36Speaker 4: guys in every single way.
- 17:38Speaker 3: It was so awful.
- 17:39Speaker 4: And now in this one, I'm like, yeah, it's pregnancy
- 17:43Speaker 4: and it's not the.
- 17:44Speaker 3: Best, but like I'm not destroyed.
- 17:47Speaker 4: And I was terrified of doing it again because I
- 17:50Speaker 4: thought it would be the exact same. But it's definitely
- 17:52Speaker 4: dependent on the pregnancy.
- 17:53Speaker 5: It's so weird and and it's been hard for me
- 17:57Speaker 5: because like g has been. I mean watching g go
- 18:02Speaker 5: through all of this on social media, Like sometimes she'll
- 18:05Speaker 5: get hate for having a good pregnancy, and it's like
- 18:07Speaker 5: it's bizarre. It's like people are so made that I
- 18:13Speaker 5: like we're talking like something angry, Like.
- 18:16Speaker 2: People get bad because of your true life experiences. That's
- 18:19Speaker 2: always weird.
- 18:20Speaker 6: It's like I'm sorry that she had a different experience
- 18:23Speaker 6: than you. So that's been hard for me.
- 18:25Speaker 7: But also I've encouraged people because, like I was scared
- 18:28Speaker 7: of having a baby because of all the horrible, crazy
- 18:32Speaker 7: stories that people just immediately tell you as soon as
- 18:34Speaker 7: you got pregnant. They're like, well my cousin's friends had
- 18:37Speaker 7: you know this happened in this And you're like Jesus,
- 18:40Speaker 7: like is everything like that? And then like TV shows
- 18:42Speaker 7: you like every single traumatic experience a woman can go
- 18:45Speaker 7: through while having birth because it's like a good storyline,
- 18:48Speaker 7: et cetera, et cetera. So I had all this conditioning
- 18:50Speaker 7: that like my pregnancy is going to be rough, my
- 18:52Speaker 7: birth is going to be rough, and I'm going to
- 18:53Speaker 7: have a really rough time. But because I didn't, I
- 18:56Speaker 7: also wanted to show that it is possible to have
- 18:58Speaker 7: a beautiful experience even though you're not feeling a perfect
- 19:02Speaker 7: one hundred percent of the time, it can still be
- 19:05Speaker 7: a really great experience that you want all over again,
- 19:07Speaker 7: and I do. I just didn't think that would happen
- 19:10Speaker 7: to me. So people are pissed and some people are encouraged.
- 19:13Speaker 7: You can't you can't please.
- 19:15Speaker 1: You'll never win.
- 19:17Speaker 3: Oh definitely not.
- 19:18Speaker 4: Because when you hate it, then people are like, you're
- 19:21Speaker 4: not appreciating it.
- 19:22Speaker 7: And you're lucky, you know, some people can't have pits huge,
- 19:30Speaker 7: you know, conversation around it. So I just try to
- 19:32Speaker 7: be as honest as possible. And if you don't think
- 19:35Speaker 7: I'm being honest, I don't know what to tell you.
- 19:38Speaker 2: I actually didn't realize that there is different types of
- 19:40Speaker 2: pregnancies because I've really learned this through Ashley, who's a champion,
- 19:44Speaker 2: because I do. I get talked to her multiplying this week.
- 19:46Speaker 2: During her first pregnancy with Dawson. We'd be doing this
- 19:49Speaker 2: show and she'd be like, sorry, I got to go
- 19:50Speaker 2: through it real quick, and she just like lean over,
- 19:53Speaker 2: do whatever she and then be back recording.
- 19:55Speaker 1: I'd be like, my.
- 19:56Speaker 6: Goodness, women are super Yeah.
- 20:01Speaker 5: I was like, this is insane, it's crazy and just
- 20:04Speaker 5: how tired you guys, which I get it that you're
- 20:06Speaker 5: growing a human being, but the amount that she just
- 20:09Speaker 5: couldn't like function.
- 20:11Speaker 7: No, And I still traveled the world with you, and
- 20:12Speaker 7: I still want to take your shows, and I still worked,
- 20:15Speaker 7: and I still renovated a house and I still did
- 20:17Speaker 7: a great dangle thing. It was it was creaty, like
- 20:21Speaker 7: women are lead.
- 20:23Speaker 5: I.
- 20:26Speaker 4: Really you know, I know we say it all the time,
- 20:28Speaker 4: but it's like I really wondering what would have happened if,
- 20:31Speaker 4: like guys had you know, they carried the child.
- 20:35Speaker 3: It's definitely designed.
- 20:36Speaker 7: And then like you're bleeding out of every single work,
- 20:41Speaker 7: you have to like literally put yourself back together again.
- 20:45Speaker 7: It's why you, guys, the most interesting thing I've ever
- 20:47Speaker 7: seen ever. And then the baby is depending on you
- 20:50Speaker 7: and only you, and it's just for food and you know,
- 20:53Speaker 7: and you're it's like the only thing it knows and
- 20:56Speaker 7: you're like I want to cry for thirty minutes.
- 20:59Speaker 9: But it's just like it's really rough, but it was great.
- 21:13Speaker 4: Okay, Well, let's talk about him now, like in the present,
- 21:16Speaker 4: because he's here, so like, tell us this funny story
- 21:21Speaker 4: about how like like getting used to parenthead like do
- 21:26Speaker 4: you have any funny stories about just you know, sleep
- 21:30Speaker 4: or eating or anything like that, like not knowing what
- 21:34Speaker 4: to do when you take a shower and you're alone.
- 21:39Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean all that. I especially in the beginning
- 21:43Speaker 7: my mom stayed with us for like two ish weeks.
- 21:48Speaker 7: My dad also, he had no idea what he was doing.
- 21:50Speaker 3: He was just like my dad.
- 21:52Speaker 4: My dad literally he held Dawson for the first time like
- 21:56Speaker 4: a week later, he was like, I'm gonna break him,
- 21:58Speaker 4: and now he's obsessed exactly.
- 22:00Speaker 7: He was like shaking, like and I'm like, I'm going
- 22:03Speaker 7: to take a shower for us. I'm like, great, I
- 22:06Speaker 7: get clean. I don't know, but that was really funny.
- 22:09Speaker 6: I think I'll say one.
- 22:10Speaker 5: I think having a boy, which you knows, the pee,
- 22:14Speaker 5: the pee.
- 22:14Speaker 6: Is just everywhere.
- 22:16Speaker 7: It's so cute. Yeah, I find everything he does.
- 22:20Speaker 6: Yes, I was just gonna say, like cries.
- 22:23Speaker 5: I wasn't huge, Like I didn't hate babies, but like
- 22:25Speaker 5: I wasn't like, oh like can I help baby, Like
- 22:28Speaker 5: I wasn't that guy.
- 22:28Speaker 6: Yeah, I never held you born with my Everything.
- 22:32Speaker 5: He does is cute, like everything he cries, and I'm like,
- 22:34Speaker 5: this is accusing of nursing, you know, She's like everything
- 22:36Speaker 5: he does is cute.
- 22:36Speaker 6: It's such a weird feeling.
- 22:38Speaker 7: And we get like so excited when he's like holding
- 22:40Speaker 7: his head up, We're like, did you see that?
- 22:41Speaker 6: I'm like, look at him.
- 22:42Speaker 7: Go he just like he just laughed, like he's learning
- 22:45Speaker 7: how to laugh right now. And I'm like, I'm so
- 22:47Speaker 7: proud of that. My baby is like using his voice.
- 22:49Speaker 7: Like then, It's just like little things like that, and
- 22:53Speaker 7: I mean funny stuff. He's my mom has this joke.
- 22:57Speaker 7: She's just like, where's the baby on Jeanina's boot? Where's
- 23:00Speaker 7: Janina like eating the baby? Like, my tits are constantly out.
- 23:04Speaker 6: So if you live in Denver, you've probably seen.
- 23:10Speaker 7: My breath, that is for sure.
- 23:13Speaker 1: So can you believe that?
- 23:16Speaker 7: Huh?
- 23:17Speaker 3: Can you believe how big we get?
- 23:19Speaker 6: Massive?
- 23:21Speaker 7: My titties are massive. Everything is big.
- 23:24Speaker 6: I got a good one. I gotta go to one.
- 23:26Speaker 6: Some funny.
- 23:26Speaker 5: The other day, we were at the gym and she
- 23:28Speaker 5: was like running on the treadmill and all. So she's
- 23:30Speaker 5: like and I was like, what, Like my milk came in?
- 23:33Speaker 5: And she starts like yeah, She's like, my milk's coming
- 23:36Speaker 5: in as I'm running.
- 23:38Speaker 6: This is just crazy.
- 23:38Speaker 2: What the body does wait, explain elaborated a little bit.
- 23:41Speaker 2: What happens, Like all of a sudden you can feel milk.
- 23:45Speaker 7: So you feel like it's called the letdown. I think
- 23:49Speaker 7: this is what the letdown is for me. It's like
- 23:51Speaker 7: I just feel I don't know, imagine like the feeling
- 23:55Speaker 7: you get right like right after your foot falls asleep.
- 23:59Speaker 7: But it doesn't hurt. It's just like a little tingling
- 24:01Speaker 7: like it's just kind of something's moving. I don't know.
- 24:04Speaker 7: I don't know how to it. Yeah, it's like a flow.
- 24:06Speaker 7: You feel like a flow.
- 24:08Speaker 6: Whoa just get bigger and then just wild hurting her?
- 24:12Speaker 1: Where's that coming from?
- 24:15Speaker 7: I you know, I haven't really looked into it. I
- 24:17Speaker 7: don't know how I'm making milk, like from.
- 24:19Speaker 6: The brain ducks something.
- 24:22Speaker 2: And somebody who knows is listening to this, like you
- 24:24Speaker 2: guys are idiots.
- 24:27Speaker 3: So hormone release, Okay, I don't.
- 24:30Speaker 7: No idea how makeing milk? I know that I have
- 24:32Speaker 7: milk ducks, but that's it. I don't know how they
- 24:35Speaker 7: turned on, how they turn off.
- 24:37Speaker 5: Well, that's the other thing is like when you as
- 24:38Speaker 5: soon as she hears him crying, whatever, Yeah, you know
- 24:40Speaker 5: they'll fill up or another baby crying will.
- 24:42Speaker 6: Even do it.
- 24:43Speaker 5: It's like, yeah, yeah, it's just so cool. Human nature,
- 24:45Speaker 5: you know, like the nature of everything is just so.
- 24:48Speaker 7: And now he's like doubled in weight and I'm like,
- 24:51Speaker 7: good boy, like my booby.
- 24:53Speaker 6: It's all chunky. He's got chunky legs.
- 24:55Speaker 7: And he looks just like Blake.
- 24:57Speaker 3: That's what we hear.
- 24:59Speaker 7: He looks just like but with like little little like
- 25:02Speaker 7: dashes of me. But I wanted him to like I
- 25:06Speaker 7: wanted to give birth to Blake.
- 25:07Speaker 3: That's so cute.
- 25:11Speaker 7: Well that's how I knew I wanted to be with you.
- 25:14Speaker 6: Yeah, I was.
- 25:15Speaker 7: Actually Brittany Cartwright asked me on her podcast last year
- 25:19Speaker 7: before I got pregnant, and she was like, how do
- 25:22Speaker 7: She's like, how do you know? Like Blake was the
- 25:23Speaker 7: one or whatever? And I was like, when I realized
- 25:25Speaker 7: that I wanted my babies to look like him? And
- 25:27Speaker 7: then my baby looks like you.
- 25:31Speaker 1: Guys, he's going to be a stud.
- 25:33Speaker 2: Like there's no question in my mind, he's going to
- 25:36Speaker 2: be very handsome.
- 25:39Speaker 7: CUTI I'm ecstatic.
- 25:42Speaker 6: Just I mean, it's fun. It's super fun.
- 25:44Speaker 5: I love doing like I know I'd like being a dad,
- 25:46Speaker 5: but like it's just so fun. Like every morning she
- 25:49Speaker 5: wakes up before me and he's like, roll over my.
- 25:55Speaker 7: Conversation.
- 25:58Speaker 1: That's so good.
- 25:59Speaker 4: I got one more last question for you guys personally,
- 26:04Speaker 4: how what advice do you give to parents that find
- 26:07Speaker 4: themselves in the similar situation that you guys did where
- 26:10Speaker 4: it was unplanned but you're like, all right, unplanned life change,
- 26:15Speaker 4: biggest life change, one of them.
- 26:17Speaker 3: Here we go.
- 26:18Speaker 6: Okay, okay, I got I got I got one.
- 26:22Speaker 5: I think obviously like this is without you know, doesn't
- 26:25Speaker 5: need to be said, like make it a priority. I
- 26:29Speaker 5: think you know, read all the books, do all the classes.
- 26:31Speaker 5: We did the hypno birthing classes. We read books, and
- 26:35Speaker 5: don't don't put myself on more on your plate.
- 26:39Speaker 6: So I mean for us personally, that meant not like
- 26:43Speaker 6: running out and you.
- 26:44Speaker 7: Know, go to the courthouse and getting married.
- 26:46Speaker 6: No, no more of a planning a wedding.
- 26:48Speaker 5: It was like, let's not like put another thing on
- 26:51Speaker 5: our like, let's just do that on our own time
- 26:54Speaker 5: instead of all the millions of d ms calling me
- 26:56Speaker 5: a pos because I'm not married to her, you know,
- 26:59Speaker 5: like it was like whatever, like we're gonna do this
- 27:01Speaker 5: on our time. Because we felt like we want to
- 27:04Speaker 5: make heath a priority, not that they are aren't. People aren't,
- 27:07Speaker 5: but like, yeah, I was just like for us personally,
- 27:09Speaker 5: it was like we weren't gonna rush, like no, I'm
- 27:12Speaker 5: gonna run.
- 27:12Speaker 6: Out and get a ring and we're gonna plan a
- 27:13Speaker 6: wedding in the next five months.
- 27:14Speaker 7: Like it was like, well, no, that's like yeah, we
- 27:16Speaker 7: needed to like take one step at a time.
- 27:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:19Speaker 7: Yeah, for me personally, I mean, I think you said
- 27:22Speaker 7: it really well, Like we got educated pretty quickly, and
- 27:28Speaker 7: it just felt I felt more in control even though
- 27:32Speaker 7: the situation was out of my control. I understood what
- 27:36Speaker 7: was going on with my body more. I understood like
- 27:38Speaker 7: how I could, you know, bring a baby into this
- 27:41Speaker 7: world and do it on my own terms at least,
- 27:44Speaker 7: Like there was a lot of education that happened. But
- 27:46Speaker 7: for me, I went out with a couple of my
- 27:49Speaker 7: girlfriends and she no one knew yet. It was like
- 27:52Speaker 7: still my little secret, and I chose to tell this
- 27:55Speaker 7: one mom and she told me like the simplest advice,
- 27:58Speaker 7: but for whatever reason, I just clicked like beautifully at
- 28:00Speaker 7: that moment. She was like, I did whatever made me happy,
- 28:06Speaker 7: and it's so simple. But when I was in it,
- 28:09Speaker 7: I felt so overwhelmed and I felt like I had
- 28:11Speaker 7: to do all these things and I had to buy
- 28:13Speaker 7: all this stuff and I had to get ready, and
- 28:15Speaker 7: so I was just like, wait, that's actually brilliant. So
- 28:18Speaker 7: I slowed down and I just focused on my happiness,
- 28:21Speaker 7: like I kept doing the things that I wanted to,
- 28:24Speaker 7: and we were just it was just like this really
- 28:27Speaker 7: beautiful cycle of like I knew my baby was happy
- 28:30Speaker 7: because I was so happy too. And yeah, like I
- 28:33Speaker 7: still traveled like I didn't really restrict what I was eating,
- 28:36Speaker 7: like I'm sorry, I ate sushi like I cold, like cold,
- 28:39Speaker 7: Like I'm.
- 28:40Speaker 4: Eating Delly sandwiches like crazy, Yeah.
- 28:43Speaker 7: We want to you know, so on so many trips,
- 28:46Speaker 7: like I just kept doing what made me happy, and
- 28:48Speaker 7: that made it such a great experience because I didn't
- 28:52Speaker 7: feel like I put myself lost, like it was me
- 28:55Speaker 7: and my baby. And then in turn, I didn't make
- 28:58Speaker 7: Blake's life help so.
- 29:02Speaker 1: Very important, yeah, very valuable.
- 29:05Speaker 6: Yeah it was.
- 29:08Speaker 7: It was hard, like you had to click to click
- 29:11Speaker 7: into it.
- 29:11Speaker 2: I like the one of the things Just and I
- 29:14Speaker 2: say right now often is take the next best step,
- 29:16Speaker 2: because we get very overwhelmed and we try to do
- 29:20Speaker 2: it all and we're trying to fit so much in.
- 29:21Speaker 2: And I think to hear you two say, in the
- 29:24Speaker 2: midst of what will be will be the biggest moment
- 29:28Speaker 2: of your life and probably could have been one of
- 29:31Speaker 2: the most difficult moments of your relationship, you guys decided
- 29:36Speaker 2: to take the next next best step and it led
- 29:37Speaker 2: you to today where you have a baby. You guys can
- 29:40Speaker 2: do it like I think it's very obvious where it's
- 29:43Speaker 2: all good.
- 29:44Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, exactly. That's the piece of advice. Everything will
- 29:48Speaker 5: be okay, everything will work out.
- 29:51Speaker 7: And also one more, there were times where we were
- 29:54Speaker 7: like tested, The universe was testing us in certain different
- 29:58Speaker 7: points of this pregnancy. And I always said, the universe
- 30:02Speaker 7: is testing me right now, because why are we gonna
- 30:05Speaker 7: cry too?
- 30:07Speaker 3: Like you cry for everything?
- 30:09Speaker 7: Yeah, I know, every single time without feeling because I'm
- 30:14Speaker 7: gonna have like the biggest reward, thanks reward. It's true. Okay,
- 30:21Speaker 7: I'm done by.
- 30:23Speaker 3: That's a great way to wrap.
- 30:26Speaker 2: No, I'm proud, I mean not proud of That makes
- 30:29Speaker 2: me sound like, uh, inspired by you guys, encouraged, excited
- 30:34Speaker 2: all the good stuff you're doing great. Cannot wait to
- 30:37Speaker 2: continue to see Heath grow, uh and your family grow
- 30:41Speaker 2: and all the good things in front of the two
- 30:43Speaker 2: of you.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Thanks for coming on. It means a lot. I know
- 30:47Speaker 1: it's a.
- 30:47Speaker 2: Busy time, and I know that there's a lot going.
- 30:49Speaker 4: On that totally fail you on the tears like and
- 30:53Speaker 4: now and the few weeks afterward. It's crazy a few
- 30:57Speaker 4: weeks afterward for me, or even crazy.
- 30:58Speaker 8: Oh.
- 30:59Speaker 3: She was way like I would cry because everything was
- 31:03Speaker 3: too good. I was like, my life can't get better.
- 31:05Speaker 3: So I'm really worried that everything is gonna be downhill
- 31:08Speaker 3: from here.
- 31:13Speaker 5: Then I'm we're running to go pick up my new
