- 0:23Speaker 3: To the main topic then, yes, please before he talks
- 0:26Speaker 3: about its purple throbbing fun.
- 0:28Speaker 4: Well, now, one thing straight, it's not mine. It's Star
- 0:37Speaker 4: Trek's throbbing okay.
- 0:40Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's your favorite.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, well yes, all right, So we are reviewing
- 0:49Speaker 2: Star Trek Lower Deck season five, episode seven, fully Dilated.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Please let me do the tagline.
- 0:58Speaker 2: I've got it, okay, yeah, can I read it? Read it?
- 1:03Speaker 2: Read it.
- 1:09Speaker 3: It's a pre warped society undercover girls trip.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Nice.
- 1:17Speaker 3: Yes, that's exactly what it is pretty much.
- 1:23Speaker 2: So basically they have to go to a pre warped
- 1:26Speaker 2: society to recover the remains of the Purple D.
- 1:33Speaker 5: Basically the shuttlecraft the Purple D had left behind some evidence,
- 1:43Speaker 5: just the tip though, just the head.
- 1:47Speaker 3: You know, I'm trying to keep it. You know, there's
- 1:49Speaker 3: a lie that I'm trying I'm trying to keep my
- 1:53Speaker 3: mom watches.
- 1:55Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:58Speaker 7: Yeah, it was it was his head's head that was so, Yeah,
- 2:09Speaker 7: where's his body?
- 2:12Speaker 3: It was disintegrated, destroyed.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Yeah, it just got destroyed. Okay, Yeah, he's been ahead before.
- 2:19Speaker 2: It's fine.
- 2:19Speaker 6: Oh no, I know he's been ahead before. That's what
- 2:22Speaker 6: he said.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, they got Brett Speiner to voice and
- 2:27Speaker 2: it was great.
- 2:27Speaker 6: He did.
- 2:28Speaker 3: He's been ahead a couple of times. Yeah, Disaster was
- 2:33Speaker 3: one and then uh, the times Zarrow was the other one.
- 2:39Speaker 3: But the difference was in times Arrow he didn't he
- 2:41Speaker 3: couldn't function. Is just ahead because you know, he didn't
- 2:46Speaker 3: get disconnected correctly, they didn't eject him before they popped
- 2:49Speaker 3: his SD card out of the slot.
- 2:51Speaker 6: Mhm.
- 2:52Speaker 2: What did you think of these giraffe horns on these people?
- 2:58Speaker 3: I mean, it seemed like a pretty quick and easy
- 3:01Speaker 3: way to really differentiate, you know, the pre warped species
- 3:06Speaker 3: from them. Yeah, and also considering they're also pretty different,
- 3:10Speaker 3: and it made them look like each other.
- 3:12Speaker 2: It maybe want to go to toys r us.
- 3:15Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't want to grow up.
- 3:18Speaker 4: Oh yeah, so to Lin's got her ears covered mm hmm,
- 3:25Speaker 4: so that you know you don't want to seize her.
- 3:28Speaker 4: No one sees her pointy ears smooth. But it's like,
- 3:32Speaker 4: all right, we can we can add antenna, but we
- 3:35Speaker 4: can't change your ears.
- 3:40Speaker 3: Now. Yeah, I don't know.
- 3:42Speaker 2: In DNA, baby, maybe.
- 3:46Speaker 3: It's easy to add and take away.
- 3:48Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Maybe the cat's not that great of a doctor.
- 3:52Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 3:57Speaker 3: This definitely wasn't having about being a makeup artist.
- 4:00Speaker 6: Oh what's his name? Snell? Snell?
- 4:02Speaker 2: That guy, I think something like that.
- 4:04Speaker 4: I you know, you know, you know, sometimes you see
- 4:08Speaker 4: something in your mind, your mind takes like fifteen steps
- 4:11Speaker 4: in your head, like who's who's this guy, what's his involvement.
- 4:14Speaker 6: In the story, where did he come from? And I thought,
- 4:17Speaker 6: I thought for sure that that this guy found.
- 4:20Speaker 4: The shell craft and read a copy of the Rules
- 4:23Speaker 4: of Acquisition because he just seemed very for ringy to me.
- 4:27Speaker 6: Oh he's yeah, he was the first the first time out. Yeah.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Oh, I thought I thought one hundred if they made
- 4:34Speaker 2: this like live action, that would be Danny DeVito.
- 4:39Speaker 6: Okay, yeah, I like it, Okay, okay, Yeah, So.
- 4:47Speaker 3: I thought I had voiced him. He's done a bunch
- 4:49Speaker 3: of he's done a bunch of voice acting. Yeah, Turtles,
- 4:54Speaker 3: duct tails. Uh. The guy's name is Eric Bowser b
- 5:00Speaker 3: A U Z A. So I'm gonna say boy, but
- 5:04Speaker 3: he's yeah, he's done Transformers, Ductails, the newer one, uh,
- 5:09Speaker 3: lower decks Bob's burgers, all kinds of stuff, so all
- 5:14Speaker 3: all the.
- 5:15Speaker 2: All the voice work.
- 5:17Speaker 3: Yep.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Yeah, I felt like it was a pretty simple episode.
- 5:23Speaker 2: They very much kept trying to say They're kind of
- 5:25Speaker 2: like this version of the Inner Light, like they say it,
- 5:29Speaker 2: you know.
- 5:29Speaker 4: Yeah, there's the references getting are getting less and less subtle.
- 5:34Speaker 4: They're shut up dropping, they're they're dropping the titles of
- 5:39Speaker 4: past episodes. Oh this is a carbon creek situation. Yeah,
- 5:42Speaker 4: this could be my inter light. I need my flute.
- 5:45Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, yeah, So I I think last time I
- 5:49Speaker 4: talked about I haven't really been laughing with these episodes
- 5:56Speaker 4: the way I used to, and I'm kind of falling
- 5:58Speaker 4: out of love with the show. It was strange this
- 6:04Speaker 4: week because I didn't laugh, right, but I but I
- 6:07Speaker 4: still really enjoyed the episode. It had a fun story,
- 6:13Speaker 4: it had a neat cameo, but I wasn't laughing.
- 6:20Speaker 2: I feel like it was the most star treky episode
- 6:23Speaker 2: we've had, yeah season, and that's probably why you liked it,
- 6:28Speaker 2: you know.
- 6:29Speaker 6: Yeah, probably, yeah, probably.
- 6:31Speaker 3: You know, it's sort of going in the direction of
- 6:33Speaker 3: the Orville, like, less laughs, more story.
- 6:37Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 6:38Speaker 3: Orville season three was a lot like that.
- 6:41Speaker 4: Yeah, it was Orville laughing. Orville Season three was just amazing.
- 6:49Speaker 4: The writing was amazing. They dropped the well they didn't
- 6:51Speaker 4: drop the humor, but they lessened to the humor and
- 6:55Speaker 4: win more drama.
- 6:56Speaker 6: But they went so much more drama side five that
- 7:00Speaker 6: it was it was the best star Trek in years
- 7:03Speaker 6: at that point.
- 7:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:05Speaker 6: Yeah, so I like that.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Yeah, this part where we're Boimler and uh where they
- 7:12Speaker 2: dropped their drinks on the control pad and they're just
- 7:16Speaker 2: trying to clean it up.
- 7:17Speaker 6: There's no no food out of the transporter room. They know,
- 7:20Speaker 6: they were all got cringey when they were licking it up.
- 7:23Speaker 2: It was Yeah, what was it like every second was
- 7:27Speaker 2: like a few days or something?
- 7:29Speaker 3: Every month?
- 7:30Speaker 6: Yeah it was was was a week I think or
- 7:32Speaker 6: a month, yeah, because they were.
- 7:36Speaker 3: Got a year.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Yeah, just about Yeah.
- 7:41Speaker 4: So here's what I want to know. Time time dilation.
- 7:44Speaker 4: Time dilation in the in the twenty fourth century, twenty
- 7:47Speaker 4: fifth century. And without getting into the argument about do
- 7:52Speaker 4: they have money in the twenty fifth century, let's just
- 7:54Speaker 4: assume for a minute that starfleet officers get paid. I
- 7:58Speaker 4: go on, I go on a a time dilation mission,
- 8:03Speaker 4: and I'm down there on that planet for a year.
- 8:06Speaker 4: But I'm going from the ship for forty minutes. How
- 8:12Speaker 4: much do I get paid?
- 8:15Speaker 3: I think there's Army was filled out for that.
- 8:19Speaker 6: But do I get a year's Do I get a
- 8:21Speaker 6: year's salary? Or you know, I got forty minutes.
- 8:25Speaker 3: Yeah. In the Army, we had a TDC form that
- 8:28Speaker 3: we filled out Time Dilation Compensation form. So whenever we
- 8:32Speaker 3: went on a mission and our time frame was different
- 8:35Speaker 3: than basis time frame, we had to fill out a
- 8:38Speaker 3: special form. Most people didn't fill it out just because
- 8:41Speaker 3: it was more of a pain in the butt to
- 8:43Speaker 3: fill the form out than it was to get paid.
- 8:45Speaker 2: So you have to get the fringate Counting Department to
- 8:50Speaker 2: sign off on.
- 8:51Speaker 3: Your extra check, right, right's the problem. It'd be like
- 8:54Speaker 3: signing a travel voucher. Filling out a travel voucher. It's
- 8:57Speaker 3: just not worth it.
- 8:58Speaker 6: Yeah, so.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Jas with poor O'Brien didn't get anything.
- 9:05Speaker 6: Oh god, that's right, Yeah.
- 9:08Speaker 8: That's right.
- 9:09Speaker 6: Yeah, sorry, it wasn't It wasn't real. I can see.
- 9:15Speaker 3: I can see a Ferringy attorney ad on TV. You know,
- 9:21Speaker 3: have you been has your mind been in prison for
- 9:23Speaker 3: the last thirty years? You may be entitled the compensation.
- 9:28Speaker 6: Nice.
- 9:31Speaker 2: I liked the episode. I thought it was fun I
- 9:35Speaker 2: did laugh at the when Mariner was in prison.
- 9:38Speaker 3: I thought that was yeah, that was that was funny.
- 9:41Speaker 3: That was funny. The look on her face.
- 9:43Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, what is this drink? What does it? What
- 9:47Speaker 6: does it have? It has lemons? Is that shrimp?
- 9:53Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 9:55Speaker 3: Yeah, it looked like a looks awful.
- 9:58Speaker 2: It's kind of like bloody mar Yeah, bloody Mary kind of.
- 10:03Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 10:04Speaker 2: My uncles were drinking this in California when I was
- 10:07Speaker 2: down there.
- 10:08Speaker 6: No, really, yeah, this is a real thing.
- 10:10Speaker 2: It's a real drink. Yeah, it has shrimped, but yeah
- 10:13Speaker 2: again yeah.
- 10:15Speaker 6: Well it still looks awful. Sorry, pal, They loved it.
- 10:18Speaker 2: I don't drink.
- 10:20Speaker 3: Never talk about drinking your dinner and keep this picture up.
- 10:25Speaker 8: You know.
- 10:26Speaker 3: Boimler and Ruththerford sort of have this this thing where
- 10:29Speaker 3: they're they're they're growing their beards, and with Rutherford it's
- 10:32Speaker 3: sort of it's sort of like when Jordi started growing
- 10:35Speaker 3: his beard and whatever. Yeah, in whatever season, And there's
- 10:40Speaker 3: a story behind it. I don't know all the details
- 10:41Speaker 3: of the story, but uh, LeVar.
- 10:43Speaker 4: Burton, he had a LeVar Burton had had a wedding.
- 10:46Speaker 4: He wanted a beard for the wedding.
- 10:49Speaker 6: Oh okay, okay, so he grew the beard and then
- 10:53Speaker 6: shaved it off.
- 10:54Speaker 3: Yeah, but I you know, I remember a time when
- 10:57Speaker 3: my beard, you know, this is back when you know,
- 11:00Speaker 3: many many, many many years ago, when my beard was
- 11:02Speaker 3: coming in a lot like Boimler's and and there was
- 11:05Speaker 3: a point where I could only grow goateee because you know,
- 11:08Speaker 3: I couldn't grow any of the side stuff. So I
- 11:10Speaker 3: just wanted to say to Boimler and all the Boiler
- 11:12Speaker 3: fans out there, be patient, his his his strong beard
- 11:16Speaker 3: will come.
- 11:16Speaker 2: In m hm hopefully someday for me. That's all I got.
- 11:27Speaker 2: And then yeah, the necklace, right, it was the like
- 11:31Speaker 2: the basically the homing beacon.
- 11:34Speaker 6: Kinda yeah, oh yeah, there was.
- 11:40Speaker 2: It was so that they could let him know, hey,
- 11:41Speaker 2: we're gonna come pick.
- 11:42Speaker 3: Now, we're about to pick you up. And I mean
- 11:48Speaker 3: you could kind of see the beats of the storyline
- 11:51Speaker 3: before they sort of happened. You know, you knew it
- 11:55Speaker 3: was gonna be a situation where the beacon would go
- 11:58Speaker 3: off as sort of an inconvenient time. Have to figure
- 12:00Speaker 3: out a way to get out of sight of everybody,
- 12:03Speaker 3: and then you knew that sort of at the last
- 12:05Speaker 3: minute they were going to transport away before the you know,
- 12:09Speaker 3: the guy that's eventually going to become a FERRINGI, you know,
- 12:12Speaker 3: climbed over the mountain. You know, all shocks. I missed it.
- 12:19Speaker 4: I like how they addressed the point of, you know,
- 12:21Speaker 4: we can't leave anything behind to influence this society, but
- 12:26Speaker 4: we can let these people think that he's a total
- 12:29Speaker 4: crack pot.
- 12:30Speaker 6: Yeah right, right for ten months. He deserves, he deserves.
- 12:37Speaker 6: He's crazy.
- 12:39Speaker 3: Speaking of eving things behind it, I kind of like
- 12:41Speaker 3: how they used their phasers in the same way that
- 12:43Speaker 3: I would use my phasers if I just wanted to
- 12:45Speaker 3: get rid of crap around my property. Like, they came
- 12:48Speaker 3: in to the crash site and they were just like,
- 12:51Speaker 3: you know, level sixteen beam uh beam on their phasing everything. Yeah,
- 12:56Speaker 3: you know, you're you've disappeared, and you've disappeared, spiry, vaporize
- 13:01Speaker 3: the trash, yep.
- 13:03Speaker 2: A lot of things.
- 13:05Speaker 6: Mm hmm.
- 13:07Speaker 3: So that was neat.
- 13:10Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 13:12Speaker 2: I did like that she made a hand crank machine.
- 13:17Speaker 3: Yeah, to bring it back to life.
- 13:20Speaker 2: Ridiculous.
- 13:22Speaker 6: Well, he does use a lot less electricity without arms.
- 13:25Speaker 3: And like so yeah, yeah, apparently the positronic brain doesn't
- 13:30Speaker 3: take a whole lot, but yeah, let's I mean, I
- 13:31Speaker 3: think it was really cool that Brent Spiner came back.
- 13:33Speaker 8: To do this.
- 13:34Speaker 3: Yeah, definitely, No, No, it wasn't so that was that
- 13:41Speaker 3: was cool for him to do that, and I really
- 13:43Speaker 3: like to see it. You know, it was an interesting choice,
- 13:47Speaker 3: the purple thing. I thought that was neat especially it
- 13:50Speaker 3: was like, what color is your enterprise? Oh, it's just
- 13:52Speaker 3: kind of a gray. Oh, that seems like a missed
- 13:54Speaker 3: opportunity given the purple is an option. Yeah, so I
- 14:00Speaker 3: wonder who decided on purple, Like if that's like an
- 14:04Speaker 3: inside thing or oh and then what did mariners say?
- 14:07Speaker 3: I wonder if the I wonder if the hall, if
- 14:09Speaker 3: the carpet matches the hall, because there is kind of
- 14:17Speaker 3: a purple hue to a lot of things in in
- 14:20Speaker 3: Next Gen Timeline. There's a lot of like, oh, the carpet,
- 14:26Speaker 3: for one, there's a purple U to the carpet. Yeah.
- 14:32Speaker 6: I thought it was more of a maroon, But.
- 14:35Speaker 3: I guess it depends on how the camera catches it.
- 14:38Speaker 3: You know, It's like what color is D Space nine?
- 14:41Speaker 3: Is it brown or is it gray?
- 14:43Speaker 6: Mm?
- 14:43Speaker 2: Hm, oh it depends is gray?
- 14:48Speaker 3: Right? Right? Why art?
- 14:55Speaker 6: I don't even get me started on that's right right.
- 14:58Speaker 3: Because because the shoot models are a completely different color,
- 15:02Speaker 3: the camera catches them in a completely different color.
- 15:05Speaker 6: So right, I like that.
- 15:08Speaker 2: To Land made beauty products for the pre Warp Society,
- 15:13Speaker 2: which looks which looks suspiciously like Mad Dog twenty twenty.
- 15:16Speaker 6: Indeed, I mean with grapes that size, Oh my god,
- 15:25Speaker 6: tons of cheap wine you can.
- 15:27Speaker 3: Make to Oh yeah, uh so let's see how did
- 15:34Speaker 3: the episode end? Oh that's right, uh Chi Lan and
- 15:40Speaker 3: always yeah, tendy uh are we're in the running for
- 15:44Speaker 3: bridge science officer. Okay, and and Data had a little
- 15:49Speaker 3: conversation with the captain that I have a suggestion, and
- 15:53Speaker 3: as it turns out, she decided to make both of
- 15:56Speaker 3: them co science officers on the bridge.
- 15:59Speaker 6: Yeah, what could go wrong because they work as well
- 16:01Speaker 6: as a team.
- 16:03Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that's that's fine. It's it's a cartoon, it's fine.
- 16:09Speaker 3: Yeah, let them let him do whatever.
- 16:12Speaker 6: It's not real, Star Trek. It's just a cartoon.
- 16:15Speaker 3: Whoa, whoa, hey, now this this is canon adjacent mm.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Hmm until section thirty one.
- 16:26Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I just want at some point at some
- 16:31Speaker 4: point somewhere somebody to make reference to our war with
- 16:35Speaker 4: the animated universe.
- 16:38Speaker 6: Then what what is the same?
- 16:44Speaker 3: What episode is this? This is we've only got.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Chez missus. Everyone can't get a trophy.
- 16:50Speaker 6: Apparently they can, Yeah on the soritos on the yep.
- 16:56Speaker 3: So we only have three episodes left. We've got a
- 17:00Speaker 3: per Decks, Fizzier Quest, Upper Texts, Upper Decker, Upper Decks. Yeah,
- 17:07Speaker 3: and then the last episode is called the New Next Generation.
- 17:10Speaker 3: So three more episodes.
- 17:13Speaker 2: We have the log line for Upper Decks and I'm
- 17:15Speaker 2: cracking up at it. Please the lower decks have a
- 17:20Speaker 2: pumpkin carving party.
- 17:25Speaker 3: That's an.
- 17:27Speaker 4: Okay, So this show is ending this? Oh yeah, and
- 17:31Speaker 4: whoever writes these things, I think they just gave up. No, sure, sure,
- 17:34Speaker 4: whoever writes these log lines, they just gave up.
- 17:37Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 17:38Speaker 2: I I imagine that pumpkin carving contest will be like
- 17:43Speaker 2: one scene.
- 17:44Speaker 6: In the whole thing.
- 17:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:45Speaker 4: Next, next week's log line is uh. The week after
- 17:48Speaker 4: the log line is the crew travel through space and
- 17:51Speaker 4: hilarity ensues.
- 17:52Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 17:55Speaker 3: Well, I've got the log line for the for episode ten.
- 17:58Speaker 9: Uh.
- 17:58Speaker 3: The plot is unknown as time. There you go, there
- 18:01Speaker 3: we go okay, all right, So that's my contribution to
- 18:05Speaker 3: the show. Everybody, well, all right, well I guess it's
- 18:13Speaker 3: time for listener feedback.
- 18:14Speaker 2: Yeah, let's get to that, so let me please.
- 18:21Speaker 8: Listener feedback.
- 18:23Speaker 3: Nobody makes dead air like Scott.
- 18:25Speaker 2: That's right. How we all mad?
- 18:27Speaker 3: It's it's why you got it's why you hired me on.
- 18:31Speaker 2: Yeah exactly. So yeah, I just asked people to x
- 18:35Speaker 2: up in the chat, so jazz business is coming on.
- 18:39Speaker 2: But let me see if we have any other feedback.
- 18:42Speaker 2: Well I'm checking.
- 18:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:46Speaker 2: I did get a couple of comments about our interview
- 18:48Speaker 2: with Brian Bolwise. People were pretty happy with it. I
- 18:54Speaker 2: thought it was fun. One of one of the things
- 18:55Speaker 2: that we mentioned in the interview so people can check
- 18:58Speaker 2: it out, is he already announced that in the next wave.
- 19:02Speaker 2: So they've announced Wave one, but they he had mentioned
- 19:06Speaker 2: in wave two there's going to be a Kirk figure.
- 19:12Speaker 2: So we asked him which Kirk. This is a few
- 19:16Speaker 2: of them, so he answered that. He also kind of
- 19:19Speaker 2: let us know what the limitations of the licenses, so
- 19:24Speaker 2: what we can't expect him when we can't expect So
- 19:27Speaker 2: that's kind of cool, you know.
- 19:29Speaker 6: Yeah, So yeah, and you know.
- 19:33Speaker 3: One of the things that he talked about during the
- 19:34Speaker 3: interview too that I found interesting was like the actual
- 19:37Speaker 3: nuts and bolts process of you know, making a jellico
- 19:42Speaker 3: look like a jellico. And he said something that was
- 19:46Speaker 3: surprising to me. He said, yeah, they the artists do
- 19:48Speaker 3: the thing and they make a model of the head
- 19:50Speaker 3: and then we send that to Ronnie Cox to get
- 19:54Speaker 3: his approval. Right, And I'm like, oh, really, because I
- 19:58Speaker 3: had no you know, and he it's basically not everyone
- 20:01Speaker 3: is different, so you know, some some some actors ahead
- 20:05Speaker 3: of a contract, you know, to don't use my likeness,
- 20:08Speaker 3: you know, so it's different for every every actor. But
- 20:10Speaker 3: I thought that was Ye, it's a long it's a
- 20:12Speaker 3: long process.
- 20:13Speaker 4: It's it's a funny process too, because sometimes these contracts. Okay,
- 20:18Speaker 4: so Ronnie Cox Star Trek related contract was written in
- 20:22Speaker 4: I don't know what, nineteen ninety two. Yeah, they still
- 20:26Speaker 4: have to abide by that contract to create an action
- 20:30Speaker 4: figure of him as that character in twenty twenty five.
- 20:34Speaker 6: I think that's I think that's cool.
- 20:37Speaker 2: What do the rules of acquisitions say? Contract is? Contract
- 20:41Speaker 2: is a.
- 20:41Speaker 4: Contract between well, you know, just for instance, when was
- 20:52Speaker 4: the last time you saw an action figure of a
- 20:56Speaker 4: Tom Cruise character. Oh yeah, yeah, it's it's I would
- 21:07Speaker 4: make his contract.
- 21:08Speaker 6: He doesn't.
- 21:09Speaker 4: I don't know if it's a I don't know if
- 21:10Speaker 4: it's a scientology thing or something.
- 21:13Speaker 6: That we don't want to oh no, whatever.
- 21:18Speaker 4: But you know, every time, every time people talk about
- 21:22Speaker 4: him as Iron Man, that's the worst thing that could happen,
- 21:25Speaker 4: because you know he won't allow it. He won't allow
- 21:30Speaker 4: that type of merchandising.
- 21:32Speaker 3: So that's true.
- 21:35Speaker 2: All right, we got Jazz was waiting sudden me bring
- 21:37Speaker 2: him on there? He is, Hey, hey, what's going on?
- 21:42Speaker 8: Well, I'd say about thirty minutes of this episode, you
- 21:46Speaker 8: guys are choppy and I don't know how the audio
- 21:48Speaker 8: is going to come through. Should be fine maybe, So
- 21:55Speaker 8: you guys got up to how was your Thanksgiving? And
- 21:57Speaker 8: then it just yeaheah.
- 22:00Speaker 6: So was it better better or worse than the Tyson fight?
- 22:06Speaker 8: It was about like that. Well, the Tyson fight you
- 22:08Speaker 8: cann't see. I could see the audio, you could see
- 22:12Speaker 8: the audio.
- 22:16Speaker 3: Next levels, he smells colors, Yeah, spectrum, here's aroma.
- 22:26Speaker 8: I hear it.
- 22:28Speaker 3: Don't you hate that, Chazz? When when you make this
- 22:30Speaker 3: like this tiny little slip and then people.
- 22:32Speaker 6: Just rag on you by people. By people He means me, Well,
- 22:38Speaker 6: it was.
- 22:38Speaker 3: A generic people, but yeah you people, Dan you people.
- 22:43Speaker 8: Wow, we missed New york most heartfelt speech about Thanksgiving,
- 22:50Speaker 8: so for that thirty minutes.
- 22:51Speaker 2: That's right, that's right, can't be recreated.
- 22:55Speaker 3: Oh I just got an email on my strong beard
- 22:57Speaker 3: account from the Church of Scientology. It's a haired statement.
- 23:00Speaker 2: I'm yeah exactly, that's.
- 23:06Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 23:07Speaker 8: Yeah, but you can see audio after you become a scientologist.
- 23:11Speaker 6: So that's true.
- 23:13Speaker 2: What's Shirley Hope?
- 23:15Speaker 3: So what did you think of the episode jas Biz
- 23:18Speaker 3: Purple Enterprise?
- 23:21Speaker 8: It was crazy?
- 23:22Speaker 2: My favorite Prince song?
- 23:23Speaker 6: Yes, yes, I like Raspberry Run about myself?
- 23:29Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 23:32Speaker 2: I like what about Darling Neelix, Latin Latinum and Pearls.
- 23:41Speaker 8: Lash Boy.
- 23:52Speaker 3: Anyway, anyway, Yeah, you were talking about the big Purple
- 23:58Speaker 3: d would you like about it?
- 24:00Speaker 8: Purple people eater? So it gets I guess in a
- 24:06Speaker 8: rift or whatever?
- 24:08Speaker 6: Right? Another rift?
- 24:10Speaker 8: Yeah, another rift. They're they're fixing them all season. They're
- 24:14Speaker 8: cleaning up the universe. I wontter if everybody's going to
- 24:18Speaker 8: come together to help out the end date his head
- 24:21Speaker 8: and and whatnot for the finale.
- 24:24Speaker 3: The more and more. I think Daniel's right about the
- 24:27Speaker 3: opening title sequence. Yeah, I think I'm wrong about that.
- 24:30Speaker 2: Yeah, where the head?
- 24:33Speaker 8: So I was really hoping that the Packlods would come back.
- 24:40Speaker 2: I think everything is going to come back in that yah.
- 24:43Speaker 8: I think that was the best season, was the Packlods.
- 24:46Speaker 8: So Scott great, you know he could do his little
- 24:51Speaker 8: Packlod speeches.
- 24:52Speaker 3: So I tell you what if the pack leads come back,
- 24:55Speaker 3: and you can hold me to this, I will do
- 24:57Speaker 3: another pack lead review.
- 24:59Speaker 2: Yes, do you mean you'll do them?
- 25:00Speaker 6: What do you mean you'll do Wait?
- 25:02Speaker 3: Yeah, I'll have it done. I'll coordinate with pack lits.
- 25:05Speaker 6: To have it done.
- 25:06Speaker 3: I'm the one who puts it, you know. I put
- 25:08Speaker 3: it together with my my pack lists.
- 25:11Speaker 2: Here's the ambassador, right.
- 25:13Speaker 3: We're gonna have to figure out a visual component.
- 25:16Speaker 4: Can you imagine you finished going to Envoys school and
- 25:20Speaker 4: they're handing out assignments and you and you're the Federation
- 25:23Speaker 4: ambassador to pack leads.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Oh man, I thought you're at that point You're like,
- 25:31Speaker 2: what did I do wrong?
- 25:32Speaker 6: What did I do?
- 25:33Speaker 8: What did I do? I guess that's where they put
- 25:36Speaker 8: Barkley at or something. Yeah, it's gotta be a complete
- 25:40Speaker 8: screw up that would give it there, that would be
- 25:43Speaker 8: so horrible. Oh God, maybe that's why the Maquis went crazy.
- 25:48Speaker 8: Maybe they got stuck there.
- 25:52Speaker 3: Yeah maybe, alright, say they went crazy because I guess
- 25:56Speaker 3: stuck up back. Lad. Yeah, it's like they they tried
- 26:00Speaker 3: to flee during the Dominion War. Yeah, yeah, after a
- 26:07Speaker 3: couple No, it wasn't called packlet. It was called big
- 26:09Speaker 3: strong Planet.
- 26:10Speaker 2: That's right.
- 26:14Speaker 3: Helm set a course for big strong Planet, Maximum War. Yeah,
- 26:22Speaker 3: in the name of Eddington.
- 26:27Speaker 8: Mariner. She gets stuck what she puked somebody in the
- 26:29Speaker 8: eyeball with the horns, and she gets stuck in for
- 26:35Speaker 8: a whole year, so something like that.
- 26:39Speaker 3: So she got like I think she got like two
- 26:40Speaker 3: months one time, and then because she came out, she's
- 26:43Speaker 3: like two months for you know, and this bull crap
- 26:46Speaker 3: or whatever. And then I don't know how long she
- 26:48Speaker 3: got for putting the eternal flame out. But she was right.
- 26:54Speaker 3: It's not much of an eternal flame if you can
- 26:57Speaker 3: tape put it out with greepe juice.
- 26:59Speaker 2: Yeah, mm hmm.
- 27:02Speaker 8: She plays the flute. She plays the flute as bad.
- 27:05Speaker 3: As I would so, but also manner have some self
- 27:09Speaker 3: awareness that obviously was not a fire that threatened people.
- 27:11Speaker 3: That was obviously you know.
- 27:16Speaker 4: I'm gonna and say and say it's okay, it's a cartoon.
- 27:20Speaker 3: Yeah, I've seen a lot of I've seen a lot
- 27:25Speaker 3: of memorials. I've seen a lot of military memorials. I
- 27:29Speaker 3: have flames as part of them. And at no point
- 27:31Speaker 3: did I ever go should I call the fire department?
- 27:36Speaker 8: I greetee you. There's somebody that's thought that.
- 27:38Speaker 3: So, yeah, like, there's a there's an eternal flame down
- 27:42Speaker 3: in Gettysburg that I've been to years ago with my folks,
- 27:45Speaker 3: and it's like, no, it doesn't look.
- 27:49Speaker 6: Fire.
- 27:52Speaker 8: Are some idiot teenager thinking I could put that out right?
- 27:56Speaker 3: And also it's outside in the thunderstorms and it doesn't
- 27:59Speaker 3: go out. So yeah, I put the blame on those people.
- 28:06Speaker 2: You put the flame on them.
- 28:08Speaker 3: I put the blame on them.
- 28:12Speaker 8: Flame.
- 28:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I a should put the flame on them too,
- 28:15Speaker 3: That's right. I got an internal flame, eternal flame for you.
- 28:19Speaker 8: It's like flame on.
- 28:22Speaker 2: Casus. What was your favorite part of the episode.
- 28:25Speaker 8: Uh, I like the creepy guy that's always sneaking up
- 28:29Speaker 8: on him, because that's so cliche of every single yeah
- 28:33Speaker 8: TV show movie where you got the nosy neighbor, the
- 28:37Speaker 8: you know the guy in town that's always suspicious, just
- 28:42Speaker 8: completely paranoid.
- 28:44Speaker 3: Yeah, well they brought up Times Arrow. He's like Sam Clemens.
- 28:48Speaker 3: He was this episode Sam Clemens.
- 28:51Speaker 8: Now if it was dressed like Sam Clemens, that would
- 28:53Speaker 8: have been funny.
- 28:56Speaker 3: If they brought if they actually brought like brought accidentally,
- 28:58Speaker 3: all that's would have been would have been fun if
- 29:00Speaker 3: they accidentally brought him on board and then they took
- 29:03Speaker 3: him to the holid deck and then he dressed as
- 29:05Speaker 3: Samuel Clemens.
- 29:06Speaker 2: Yeah, oh yeah, to have the the Sam Clemens off
- 29:10Speaker 2: right or therapy?
- 29:13Speaker 3: Yeah, Mark Twain, there you go? Yeah, did uh did
- 29:20Speaker 3: Dan die? Yeah?
- 29:21Speaker 2: We lost d Yeah, there he is.
- 29:24Speaker 6: It was weird.
- 29:25Speaker 4: You guys all froze and disappeared and then you came back.
- 29:29Speaker 4: But I could only hear Chas Biss. I could see
- 29:31Speaker 4: and hear Chas Biss, but he couldn't hear me.
- 29:34Speaker 3: It was like an episode of Star Trek.
- 29:36Speaker 8: Was my audio I saw?
- 29:39Speaker 2: I was about to mention it.
- 29:40Speaker 6: I smelled your audio. I smelled your audio beautiful.
- 29:45Speaker 8: Smell like.
- 29:51Speaker 6: Anyway, can you can you switch Chas Biss and Scott?
- 29:57Speaker 3: Is this bothering?
- 29:57Speaker 2: You yeah better, Yeah, okay, I can.
- 30:07Speaker 8: Whoa, don't make his head any bigger.
- 30:13Speaker 3: For those of you who are listening to this, he's
- 30:17Speaker 3: adjusting where we are on the screen.
- 30:23Speaker 8: Oh yeah, look up.
- 30:26Speaker 6: I don't I don't like that one bit now.
- 30:29Speaker 3: Now Daniel is the main squares. This is why some
- 30:32Speaker 3: of you who just listen to the podcast every once
- 30:34Speaker 3: in a while you have to check out the video
- 30:37Speaker 3: show on YouTube.
- 30:40Speaker 6: You know.
- 30:40Speaker 4: We have to do you guys, We have to get
- 30:42Speaker 4: We have to get nine people on the show one
- 30:44Speaker 4: day and play Hollywood Squares.
- 30:46Speaker 3: Here's the story.
- 30:50Speaker 2: We got to do that at some point.
- 30:51Speaker 6: Yes, yes, x x's and o's cards.
- 30:55Speaker 8: Maybe when we play Jeopardy or something you know that
- 30:59Speaker 8: do that Hollywood Squares. Oh yeah, that'd be fun.
- 31:07Speaker 2: I think we can have up to ten people.
- 31:09Speaker 8: Yeah, on streaming.
- 31:12Speaker 6: Up to ten. Well that won't we need nine people
- 31:15Speaker 6: and two contestants.
- 31:16Speaker 8: I know, I know, so well, maybe you can bring
- 31:18Speaker 8: the one contestant in. I don't know.
- 31:20Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll figure it out.
- 31:23Speaker 3: We do need to do another game, another whizz.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Or we'll have some weeks between uh plenty of weeks yeah, yeah,
- 31:33Speaker 2: between uh lower decks and section thirty one.
- 31:36Speaker 3: We'll have some time, yeah, because we got it's it's
- 31:39Speaker 3: December first today, so oh man, into the holidays.
- 31:44Speaker 8: That Star Wars Skeleton Career I think comes out this week.
- 31:47Speaker 6: Yep.
- 31:49Speaker 8: Oh I heard it's a kiddy show.
- 31:51Speaker 2: So I heard that too. The trailers make it look
- 31:54Speaker 2: like that for sure.
- 31:56Speaker 6: People kind of give it up on Star Wars at
- 31:58Speaker 6: this point.
- 31:59Speaker 8: Well, yeah, everybody has, so it's kind of sad. Yeah,
- 32:05Speaker 8: but I hear it's kind of like The e Walk Adventure.
- 32:08Speaker 8: So if you grew up on The e Walk Adventure
- 32:11Speaker 8: with you know, Wicket and yeah, it's pretty good.
- 32:14Speaker 2: The Caravan of Courage, Yes, I had that.
- 32:18Speaker 8: On videotape and of course you pass forward through the commercials.
- 32:24Speaker 2: So we rented up from the library.
- 32:27Speaker 8: Oh did you Yeah, your fancy.
- 32:30Speaker 2: That's right with our piggies up.
- 32:33Speaker 8: Yeah, he's drinking tea and watching watching the Courage.
- 32:39Speaker 6: What are you doing with that, Dan? Well, you know what,
- 32:44Speaker 6: it's New York.
- 32:45Speaker 2: I can do it if I want, just babing and
- 32:50Speaker 2: he walks.
- 32:50Speaker 6: Just that's it.
- 32:54Speaker 8: Carravan Courage is badass man.
- 32:59Speaker 3: All right, Chasms, do you have any predictions for how
- 33:02Speaker 3: the next three episodes or what you'd like to see, Well.
- 33:06Speaker 8: I really want to see the upper decker one like,
- 33:08Speaker 8: so they're going to carve pumpkins on the upper decker?
- 33:15Speaker 8: Is that their initiation? How to get up to upper
- 33:17Speaker 8: deck is carbon pumpkin?
- 33:20Speaker 2: You know, you know it's kind of maybe pumpkin is
- 33:23Speaker 2: a person and it's gonna be a horror.
- 33:27Speaker 6: Oh man, you just went dark.
- 33:32Speaker 4: It's fine, is it David s Pumpkins from Saturday Night Live?
- 33:38Speaker 4: Because I would be okay with that.
- 33:40Speaker 2: I would do Actually, yeah, I kind of.
- 33:46Speaker 8: Wish that was the title of the last episode is
- 33:48Speaker 8: upper Decker because.
- 33:51Speaker 4: Instead of the next what is it, the next next Generation?
- 33:54Speaker 4: Is that they said it's uh.
- 33:58Speaker 3: Yeah, next nexteration.
- 34:00Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 34:01Speaker 8: I think Upper deck have been better because they get promoted.
- 34:05Speaker 8: Makes sense?
- 34:07Speaker 6: Mm hmm.
- 34:08Speaker 3: Okay, everybody knows what an upper decker is, right, just
- 34:13Speaker 3: talk about it and get past it.
- 34:15Speaker 6: So I don't have to. I don't know the last
- 34:20Speaker 6: the last Let people google it.
- 34:22Speaker 3: Yeah, the last episode of Lower Decks is called the
- 34:26Speaker 3: New Next Generation and the next episode is called Upper Decks. Okay,
