- 0:10Speaker 1: Welcome back to those amigos. This is Wilmer valderramad Rodriguez
- 0:17Speaker 1: and and you know, I feel like we've been talking
- 0:19Speaker 1: about so much insightful stuff that we should go back
- 0:21Speaker 1: to like what fills in the thirteen hours of the
- 0:23Speaker 1: flight to London.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Shit.
- 0:30Speaker 3: So this episode we thought, hey, man, let's just you know,
- 0:35Speaker 3: let's create aesthetics.
- 0:38Speaker 1: So right now we were in the shoes and we
- 0:39Speaker 1: just noticed that our shoes are by the same company,
- 0:43Speaker 1: you know, and they're Nike, you know, but their colors
- 0:47Speaker 1: gold gray and black, gold gray and black.
- 0:50Speaker 3: You got Jordan's, I got, I think these are Pegasus,
- 0:52Speaker 3: you know. We were in shink. Yeah.
- 0:55Speaker 1: By the way, this is the style episode we're gonna
- 0:58Speaker 1: just titled rest today. And he brought us back to
- 1:01Speaker 1: those days when we used to be invited to Marina
- 1:03Speaker 1: Lray to the Nike warehouse.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Shout out to Tracy, Tracy Gray.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Tracy Gray so much. I hope you're listening to this.
- 1:12Speaker 1: I wish you would have given ATHLETs for free. They're
- 1:14Speaker 1: pretty expensive nowadays.
- 1:16Speaker 3: But are you?
- 1:18Speaker 1: But but yeah, definitely definitely shout out to her because
- 1:21Speaker 1: she was making all of our young young men's uh
- 1:26Speaker 1: ow dreams come true. You go in there and then
- 1:29Speaker 1: menim Mini moo. She was so generous. You know, it's
- 1:32Speaker 1: like really kind of amazing.
- 1:33Speaker 3: It was this wonderful facility.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Obviously, right, Nike has to advertise, right, whether it's commercials
- 1:39Speaker 2: or wherever it is, and it was at a point
- 1:41Speaker 2: where they would equip celebrities I guess, right, with some
- 1:46Speaker 2: Nike gear and we would wear it and that would
- 1:48Speaker 2: be a form.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Of advertisement, right.
- 1:50Speaker 2: Yeah, but you were telling this awesome story about DJ
- 1:54Speaker 2: a m oh yeah and taking him there and how
- 1:57Speaker 2: he was the first DJ they embraced that commercial level.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Yeah, Adam was in my definition, one of the best
- 2:09Speaker 1: DJs of our entire generation. The mark he left behind,
- 2:14Speaker 1: the amount of incredible DJs he mentored, uh, the incredible
- 2:18Speaker 1: amount of artists that he inspired, The idea that he
- 2:22Speaker 1: could mash up Sweet Home Alabama and Biggie Yeah.
- 2:29Speaker 3: You know, it was like just on trial, like no
- 2:32Speaker 3: one was doing that. No one was doing that, you know.
- 2:34Speaker 1: It was kind of it was also thrown it back
- 2:36Speaker 1: to the days of like you know, roun DNC and
- 2:40Speaker 1: and Aerospan, right, but this guy was doing it with radio.
- 2:44Speaker 3: And like underground hits.
- 2:46Speaker 1: You know, and he would play oases at the end
- 2:49Speaker 1: of the night, you know, after a big hip hop scene.
- 2:51Speaker 1: You know, it's like and so he he just was
- 2:54Speaker 1: such a pioneer, not just for music but for style.
- 2:58Speaker 1: I mean, the guy were a different Air Force one
- 3:01Speaker 1: every single night, every single night, everythingle night.
- 3:03Speaker 3: He never repeated Air Force one. That's how fast his
- 3:06Speaker 3: collection was. He had a huge collection.
- 3:08Speaker 1: And so one day I rolled in with some you know,
- 3:11Speaker 1: limited air Force ones to the to the club, you know,
- 3:14Speaker 1: with him, and then I rolled up.
- 3:16Speaker 3: He's like, Yo, Wilmer, would you get those? I was like,
- 3:19Speaker 3: I don't know, dude.
- 3:20Speaker 1: I think I got him in a box from Nike
- 3:22Speaker 1: and he goes, WHOA, You're getting free Nikes? And I
- 3:25Speaker 1: was again at the time, everyone who's listening there was
- 3:28Speaker 1: these programs had all these companies. This was their way
- 3:33Speaker 1: of seeding their product through pop culture, right. They would
- 3:37Speaker 1: they would go to actors and musicians and athletes, and
- 3:40Speaker 1: they would just give him stuff to wear in the
- 3:42Speaker 1: street because they knew that when they would go out there,
- 3:45Speaker 1: people would look at them and they most likely will
- 3:47Speaker 1: look down to their shoes or the jacket they were wearing,
- 3:50Speaker 1: and like and by the way it was, it was
- 3:52Speaker 1: a very very effective, you know, kind of a marketing strategy,
- 3:55Speaker 1: right because because you you were just giving free product
- 4:00Speaker 1: to an artist and get him free advertising, you didn't
- 4:04Speaker 1: have to pay them an endorsement deal. You didn't have
- 4:07Speaker 1: to pay them a commercial deal. You literally put free
- 4:10Speaker 1: stuff on them. And if somebody saw it and they're like,
- 4:12Speaker 1: I like the shoes that Freddie's wearing, they go to
- 4:15Speaker 1: Nike and be like you, I just saw this great
- 4:17Speaker 1: blah blah blah. So he was converting into actual profit
- 4:20Speaker 1: for a lot of these companies.
- 4:22Speaker 3: Anyways, he started like.
- 4:23Speaker 1: You getting free stuff and I was like yeah, he goes, man, man,
- 4:25Speaker 1: it's like my dream to go to the Nike warehouse.
- 4:29Speaker 3: So he knew about it already. He knew about the
- 4:31Speaker 3: the Ray. It was like infamous. You know.
- 4:33Speaker 1: It's like I heard they have a basketball courts in there,
- 4:36Speaker 1: you know, and I really had the first Nike shoes
- 4:38Speaker 1: in there, like you know. So he was he was
- 4:40Speaker 1: really into it and really knew everything about it. And
- 4:43Speaker 1: I was like, you've never been to it. He's like,
- 4:45Speaker 1: and dude, he at this point he's like with the
- 4:47Speaker 1: biggest DJ, right, like you know, Jennet Jackson in the
- 4:52Speaker 1: in the DJ booth with him like blame in my
- 4:54Speaker 1: latest single, you.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Know, like.
- 4:57Speaker 4: Calvin Harris before Calvin Harris.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Absolute and you know, and I will say he was
- 5:04Speaker 1: moments away from having all his stuff play on the radio. Yeah,
- 5:07Speaker 1: he was gonna be the first one, you know. I know,
- 5:08Speaker 1: his original tracks is incredible, you know. Anyways, going back
- 5:11Speaker 1: to the Nike story, so so he he's like.
- 5:14Speaker 3: Wait, you go to the warehouse. You're kidding me. You
- 5:17Speaker 3: get free stuff? And I was like, yeah, dude, I
- 5:19Speaker 3: get free stuff. I'm look at these, you know. He's like,
- 5:22Speaker 3: oh man, those are those are crazy? Right? Oh man?
- 5:25Speaker 3: I one day I can go there. And I was like, bro,
- 5:27Speaker 3: like what are you doing tomorrow.
- 5:29Speaker 1: He's like, no, dog dog oh me, that'd be crazy.
- 5:34Speaker 3: He always coming homie home. I'd be crazy.
- 5:36Speaker 1: I was like, we'll be crazy because you're gonna take
- 5:39Speaker 1: me to the to the warehouse. And I was like yeah,
- 5:42Speaker 1: and I'm not I've been to the warehouse at this
- 5:44Speaker 1: point like nineteen times.
- 5:45Speaker 3: So I'm like, yes, it's like we're going. We just
- 5:47Speaker 3: show up. We don't even tell him anymore, you know.
- 5:49Speaker 3: And and he was like.
- 5:52Speaker 1: You sure, man, like you sure it's not cool with you?
- 5:54Speaker 1: Like I mean may it would be a dream of true.
- 5:56Speaker 1: And I was like, bro, let's go. So I went
- 5:58Speaker 1: and picked him up. He wore he's cleaning are first.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Once we rolled up to the warehouse, Marinada Ray Tracy
- 6:03Speaker 1: Gray you know very well, you know, greeted us outside
- 6:07Speaker 1: and she's like, hey. I was like, remember I was
- 6:10Speaker 1: telling you my friends the DJ, I said, you know,
- 6:11Speaker 1: you always have artists here, you always have actors and
- 6:14Speaker 1: musicians and athletes, but the DJs are the ones who
- 6:17Speaker 1: really transcend in the streets. I mean, these guys really
- 6:19Speaker 1: were the fly stuff, you know when when they're performing.
- 6:22Speaker 1: She's like, no, no, welcome, I'm excited. Look a friend
- 6:25Speaker 1: of Wilmer is a friend of mine. And I was like,
- 6:26Speaker 1: let's go. We get inside and dude, it was like
- 6:31Speaker 1: it takes you to that special room. Yes, in special room,
- 6:34Speaker 1: and then the thing opens and you're like, oh my god.
- 6:37Speaker 1: It was literally like a seven year old go into
- 6:39Speaker 1: Disneyland for the first time.
- 6:40Speaker 3: Wow. It was that type of thing that you were
- 6:42Speaker 3: just like, oh my god, this is larger.
- 6:44Speaker 1: And like all different rooms were themed. You remember what
- 6:48Speaker 1: you remember some of the things.
- 6:49Speaker 4: The golf room, there was the Jordan room.
- 6:52Speaker 3: There was sort of like.
- 6:53Speaker 2: It was almost like walking into like a Nike store,
- 6:56Speaker 2: but they would walk you in and go take.
- 6:58Speaker 1: One, yes, And I said, what do you mean pick one?
- 7:01Speaker 1: He goes, yeah, what size are you? I go ten
- 7:04Speaker 1: and a half. And then they're like, try is on.
- 7:09Speaker 1: They fit really good. They fit really good, thank you,
- 7:13Speaker 1: And I take them off and give them right back
- 7:15Speaker 1: and they're like, no, these are yours.
- 7:16Speaker 3: I said, I'm I'm sorry. You mean like you can
- 7:20Speaker 3: take this home. I mean, it was like just bizarre.
- 7:23Speaker 3: You were like, what are you kidding me? You're giving
- 7:25Speaker 3: me free shoes, right, I mean like it was just
- 7:28Speaker 3: so cool.
- 7:29Speaker 1: And she was so nice, and you know, he came
- 7:31Speaker 1: in he told her the story of his shoes and
- 7:34Speaker 1: he told her, you know, he started looking at all
- 7:36Speaker 1: the stuff on the walls and all the limited edition and.
- 7:38Speaker 3: He was like he knew more story about that stuff
- 7:40Speaker 3: than anyone else. Wow. And he just was in encyclopedia of.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Nike and trand in different eras in different decades and
- 7:48Speaker 1: the things that were released, and Tracy was so impressed
- 7:50Speaker 1: by that. Wow, Adam like that's there's a lot of
- 7:53Speaker 1: knowledge there, you know, and she's like, hey, so what
- 7:56Speaker 1: size are you? And his eyes he looked. He goes, no, right, don't.
- 8:02Speaker 1: I was just here visiting with Wilmer like I was.
- 8:05Speaker 1: He didn't think he was gonna get a pair of shoes.
- 8:07Speaker 1: He just thought he was going to see the warehouse.
- 8:09Speaker 1: And then she gives him forget what was serious. It
- 8:12Speaker 1: was seriously, she gave him some beautiful air Force ones
- 8:16Speaker 1: and she was still taken.
- 8:18Speaker 3: Back how grateful he was, and he loved the brand.
- 8:21Speaker 3: He goes, you know, artists come in there, they're just like, oh, yeah,
- 8:23Speaker 3: take the free stuff. But did this dude meant everything?
- 8:26Speaker 3: You know? Yeah?
- 8:28Speaker 1: And you know, so I gave Trasey his number and
- 8:30Speaker 1: all that stuff, and then like we we went back
- 8:32Speaker 1: to our normal lives, you know. And then all of
- 8:33Speaker 1: a sudden, he's like, yo, dude, I just want to say, man,
- 8:38Speaker 1: thank you.
- 8:39Speaker 3: I'm going to the warehouse by myself.
- 8:40Speaker 1: And I'm like, oh, cool, cool, cool, And then he
- 8:42Speaker 1: called me again like whatever, Like two months later, he goes, dude,
- 8:46Speaker 1: you won't believe this. Man, I'm gonna design. I'm going
- 8:49Speaker 1: to design the dj AM air Force. Once wow, I
- 8:53Speaker 1: said what he goes, Yeah, man, it's crazy. Thank you man,
- 8:56Speaker 1: thank you. I was like, no, dude, you deserve it,
- 8:58Speaker 1: of course.
- 8:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:00Speaker 1: And then like a year after that, Tracy called him
- 9:04Speaker 1: and said, hey, we would love for you to be in.
- 9:10Speaker 3: The Kobe Bryant commercial for Nike. Wow. So, all of a.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Sudden, AM is the first DJ and the history of
- 9:18Speaker 1: DJs to be to be in a national Nike commercial
- 9:22Speaker 1: with Kobe Bryant, who's a multi champion at the time.
- 9:25Speaker 1: And and it was just like just magic, you know.
- 9:28Speaker 1: It was a perfect.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Yeah, and how did that even happen? Just because she
- 9:33Speaker 2: recognized his knowledge of Air Force one And.
- 9:36Speaker 1: At this point she talked well, because I'm sure she
- 9:40Speaker 1: she told me after it and I realized that, and
- 9:42Speaker 1: she started asking around, who's this guy in the DJ
- 9:44Speaker 1: AM And then I told her everything about him. But
- 9:47Speaker 1: then when she started hearing it from everybody else and
- 9:49Speaker 1: her staff and the team and people knew exactly what
- 9:52Speaker 1: he was, she realized, oh, this is a very interesting unique.
- 9:57Speaker 3: He wasn't even underground anymore. He was pretty man.
- 10:00Speaker 1: He he was just a massive moment, you know. And
- 10:05Speaker 1: and she then recognized that and realized, this is a
- 10:07Speaker 1: very unique way to go with Nike.
- 10:10Speaker 3: It's never it's a destination we've never gone, and it
- 10:13Speaker 3: makes the most sense.
- 10:14Speaker 1: The music, the lifestyle, you know, it all made a
- 10:17Speaker 1: lot of sense for the brand, and they started expanding
- 10:20Speaker 1: into that direction.
- 10:21Speaker 3: That's so cool that.
- 10:21Speaker 2: She had the foresight, right because now, right as I
- 10:25Speaker 2: was saying, and the Diplos and the Calvin Harris's of
- 10:28Speaker 2: the world, who all have residencies now and a tso
- 10:32Speaker 2: all those guys, right, but she kind of recognized the
- 10:35Speaker 2: potential of that way before it was mainstream or popular.
- 10:38Speaker 3: Absolutely.
- 10:39Speaker 1: So I mean, look, Steve Oki, shout out to my
- 10:41Speaker 1: brother stevee Okay, you know, you know he he was,
- 10:44Speaker 1: he was the part of that generation and am you know,
- 10:47Speaker 1: mentor him and a lot of incredible things. And then
- 10:49Speaker 1: they partner up and things together. They had their own
- 10:52Speaker 1: club together and everything. Oh yeah, and then just and
- 10:55Speaker 1: then Aoki just became you know, his own yeah, iconic brand,
- 11:01Speaker 1: and he just swored you know, and the.
- 11:03Speaker 2: Cakes and yeah, the sort of incorporating this kind of
- 11:08Speaker 2: theater aspect to DJ.
- 11:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:11Speaker 1: And you know, so the more I remember, the more
- 11:12Speaker 1: I tell the story, the more it just makes me
- 11:14Speaker 1: sad because of the potential he had, you know, and
- 11:17Speaker 1: you know, just to catch everybody up, I'm talking about
- 11:21Speaker 1: you know Adam, you know Djam, who was one of
- 11:24Speaker 1: the biggest DJs of our generation, of the two thousands,
- 11:27Speaker 1: you know, and yeah.
- 11:28Speaker 3: And you know, he's no longer with us.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Unfortunately he lost his battle, and it was just really,
- 11:36Speaker 1: you know, really really sad because he right now would
- 11:39Speaker 1: have built something very special. I mean, he would have
- 11:43Speaker 1: been probably the biggest music producer. You know, he probably
- 11:46Speaker 1: would have made so much, so much music that would
- 11:49Speaker 1: have redefined so much of what we do. I got
- 11:52Speaker 1: a lot of music today that's made it's popular in radio,
- 11:56Speaker 1: and he plays, you know, but what he was doing,
- 11:58Speaker 1: he was he was doing timeless music that really could
- 12:03Speaker 1: could you know, could last?
- 12:07Speaker 3: Wow? Yeah, pretty pretty pretty gradible.
- 12:09Speaker 2: But I have a music story too, if I may shoot.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Of course, I've never told the story. I'm gonna I'm
- 12:15Speaker 2: gonna say it right now. When I was shooting dead presidents,
- 12:21Speaker 2: we got an invitation to a birthday party, and uh,
- 12:27Speaker 2: the whole house was invited to this big birthday party
- 12:29Speaker 2: that was going to have a bunch of music people
- 12:31Speaker 2: in it.
- 12:32Speaker 4: And uh, and I'm I'm nineteen years old.
- 12:35Speaker 2: I'm right out of high school. You know, I'm a
- 12:37Speaker 2: big hip hop head. I'm in I'm in New York
- 12:40Speaker 2: in ninety.
- 12:40Speaker 3: Four, sort of the apex of like that.
- 12:43Speaker 4: Early nineties hip hop movement. And uh, I get invited
- 12:46Speaker 4: to this birthday party.
- 12:48Speaker 2: And as soon as I walk in, I see Dougie Fresh,
- 12:52Speaker 2: I see Jay Rue the damager I see Grand Pooba
- 12:56Speaker 2: from Brand Nubian's, all of these people that just the
- 12:59Speaker 2: year before I was in high school listening to like
- 13:01Speaker 2: their CDs, you know.
- 13:04Speaker 3: And right before I did that movie, I was.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Doing a movie called A Walk in the Clouds and
- 13:08Speaker 2: it was produced one of the producers on it was
- 13:11Speaker 2: this old school guy named Jim Brubaker. And you would
- 13:15Speaker 2: have known Jim. He did like a lot of like
- 13:17Speaker 2: the Stallone movies in the seventies and eighties, and eventually
- 13:21Speaker 2: he went on to run physical production over at Universal
- 13:24Speaker 2: and oversaw movies.
- 13:25Speaker 4: Like Liar Liar and all those early Jim Carrey movies.
- 13:28Speaker 4: But Jim was a.
- 13:30Speaker 2: Teamster, old school gruff teamster who became a producer, right
- 13:36Speaker 2: so he had that sensibility about him. And while I
- 13:39Speaker 2: was doing A Walk in the Clouds. I auditioned for
- 13:42Speaker 2: Dead Presidents and I got it, and I came back
- 13:44Speaker 2: to set and he.
- 13:46Speaker 3: Goes, hey, I heard I heard you.
- 13:49Speaker 2: You got this movie. Dead President's a you're you gonna
- 13:51Speaker 2: go do it? He was like, hey, is Tupac in
- 13:54Speaker 2: that movie? And I was like, I have no idea, right,
- 13:58Speaker 2: He just assumed because it was like an urban movie.
- 14:01Speaker 2: And he goes, well, if Tupaca is in that movie,
- 14:04Speaker 2: or you ever meet Tupac, you.
- 14:06Speaker 4: Tell him you know me, Jim brew Baker.
- 14:08Speaker 2: He goes, because I produced Above the Rim and I
- 14:12Speaker 2: was with Tupac at each and every one of his
- 14:15Speaker 2: court cases when we were doing that movie. And so
- 14:18Speaker 2: I was like, okay, Jim brew Baker, Tupac.
- 14:22Speaker 4: Tell him, I know you got it right.
- 14:24Speaker 2: I was like a nineteen year old kid, and this
- 14:26Speaker 2: story is a oh yeah yeah.
- 14:28Speaker 4: So so cut to I'm doing The Presidents.
- 14:31Speaker 3: I go to this party.
- 14:33Speaker 2: I see all of these musical artists that I've admired forever.
- 14:36Speaker 4: All of a sudden, I see.
- 14:37Speaker 2: Tupac right, no W And in my brain, Jim brew Baker,
- 14:41Speaker 2: Tupac go say hi, right, I'm approaching Tupac, And all
- 14:46Speaker 2: of a sudden, this big guy just kind of gets
- 14:49Speaker 2: in front of me right and starts talking to Tupac,
- 14:52Speaker 2: and I look up and it's Biggie Smalls what and
- 14:57Speaker 2: so like yeah, So I didn't understand like the significance
- 15:01Speaker 2: of the moment that I was witnessing, you know. And
- 15:04Speaker 2: I was just there like watching Biggie and Tupac hug
- 15:08Speaker 2: each other and give each other so much.
- 15:10Speaker 3: Love and respect.
- 15:13Speaker 2: And then and of course I'm sitting there like a
- 15:15Speaker 2: kid right waiting for that interaction to stop so I
- 15:18Speaker 2: can go tell him. And then another person comes into
- 15:20Speaker 2: their circle, another person, other person, and then I missed my.
- 15:23Speaker 4: Opportunity, right.
- 15:25Speaker 2: So about a week later, I'm at this club called
- 15:29Speaker 2: the Palladium in New York, and I'm passing by the
- 15:32Speaker 2: VIP section and long and behold, I see Tupac in
- 15:35Speaker 2: the VIP section and I can tell he looks over
- 15:38Speaker 2: to me, and I go like this, and I'm waving
- 15:40Speaker 2: him over right, like no.
- 15:42Speaker 4: Sense, no sense of etiquette or anything. And he's looking
- 15:45Speaker 4: at me like, who the hell is this guy waving
- 15:47Speaker 4: me over?
- 15:48Speaker 2: Right? And see he comes over with all this bravado
- 15:51Speaker 2: and he's like, yo, what's up? Man? And I was like, hey,
- 15:53Speaker 2: I introduced myself and I'm like, I'm here doing this movie.
- 15:56Speaker 2: And by the way, Jim Brubaker wanted to meet it.
- 15:59Speaker 2: And as soon as I said Jim's name is like
- 16:01Speaker 2: all that bravado win went all out the window and
- 16:04Speaker 2: he was like, oh my god.
- 16:05Speaker 4: Told Jim I said hello and.
- 16:07Speaker 3: That I met you. Like yeah, man.
- 16:09Speaker 4: It was like it was like mob like respect right there.
- 16:12Speaker 3: Right.
- 16:14Speaker 4: So about a.
- 16:16Speaker 2: Week after that, I go to work and and like
- 16:20Speaker 2: everybody's faces was long.
- 16:23Speaker 4: You know, I can tell that there was a sadness
- 16:25Speaker 4: on set and I'm.
- 16:25Speaker 3: Like, hey, what happened.
- 16:27Speaker 2: They're like, man, you know, Tupac just got shot in
- 16:30Speaker 2: this studio. And I was like, what do you mean
- 16:33Speaker 2: he just got shot. I just just talked to that
- 16:36Speaker 2: guy like a week ago.
- 16:37Speaker 4: He goes, no, man, he got shot, you know. And
- 16:40Speaker 4: as the story unfolded, you know, everyone thought that Biggie
- 16:45Speaker 4: shot him in that studio and they were saying that
- 16:48Speaker 4: on set and I was like, whoa hold on a second,
- 16:50Speaker 4: how could that be? Man? I just saw them hugging
- 16:54Speaker 4: like right in front of.
- 16:55Speaker 3: Me, you know.
- 16:57Speaker 2: And then and then the movie ended, and you know,
- 17:01Speaker 2: I went back home and then.
- 17:03Speaker 3: All of that East Coast.
- 17:04Speaker 1: West started, you know as a big that war was
- 17:08Speaker 1: the most unfortunate Yeah moment for history. Uh and in
- 17:12Speaker 1: the hip hop history, I should say, yeah.
- 17:15Speaker 2: And then and then and then Tupac died, and then
- 17:17Speaker 2: Biggie died, and so like you know, yeah, we were
- 17:21Speaker 2: just like me seeing it unfold and seeing those two
- 17:24Speaker 2: guys die, and it brings a certain level of sadness
- 17:27Speaker 2: to me because every time I would see that, or
- 17:30Speaker 2: because all I can think of was like being in
- 17:33Speaker 2: front of these two guys and like watching them hug
- 17:36Speaker 2: and give each other sans.
- 17:38Speaker 3: Did you ever spit some bars for Tupac? Because you know.
- 17:43Speaker 1: Thats goming right, you know, you know that episode is
- 17:46Speaker 1: coming right where you're gonna have to or we're gonna
- 17:49Speaker 1: have to play some of No one wants to hear that.
- 17:53Speaker 3: Everyone.
- 17:54Speaker 1: In fact, we're changing the those Amigo soundtrack to one
- 17:57Speaker 1: of their old tracks.
- 18:08Speaker 3: Speaking of fashion. But by the way, what a beautiful
- 18:11Speaker 3: sidetrack to tell those graces. Oh yeah, yeah, we.
- 18:13Speaker 4: Started talking about music, So I hope that was all right?
- 18:15Speaker 3: What's your what's your cologne? What's it? What's your uh?
- 18:20Speaker 3: And man, what's what's your cologne? Man?
- 18:23Speaker 4: Man, I rocked some DRAKR in the water.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Hey, don't take my don't take.
- 18:29Speaker 3: I remember everyone your car.
- 18:32Speaker 1: Yeah, man, I was at your car for like heavy
- 18:35Speaker 1: thirty five years of my life.
- 18:36Speaker 3: Heavy, I mean heavy, heavy, heavy.
- 18:39Speaker 1: And you know they say, oh, your car smells a
- 18:41Speaker 1: little different than anybody on everybody.
- 18:43Speaker 3: Oh, I don't know.
- 18:44Speaker 1: It smelled pretty similar to the to my favorite ups guy.
- 18:47Speaker 4: You know, like, why was your your cologne?
- 18:52Speaker 2: My dad?
- 18:53Speaker 1: Ah, your pop My dad was like he used to
- 18:55Speaker 1: put it over like his gold chain.
- 18:57Speaker 4: So then his gold chain smelled like it's start.
- 19:00Speaker 1: With one spray on each side of the neck, on
- 19:06Speaker 1: each shoulder, yeah, on each chest, you know, stomach, stomach pants.
- 19:14Speaker 3: Wow, it was it was assistant. Oh yeah, he had
- 19:17Speaker 3: a sister. Yeah it was.
- 19:19Speaker 1: It was almost like you were putting a bug repelling,
- 19:21Speaker 1: you know, like like like it was like you were
- 19:24Speaker 1: just spraying bug off, you know, just covering everything.
- 19:28Speaker 3: You know. So he passed. It was like he passed
- 19:30Speaker 3: down the bottom.
- 19:31Speaker 1: And even right now, like even right now, my my
- 19:34Speaker 1: my daughter will go hang out with my dad and
- 19:36Speaker 1: she would come back smelling like your car. Like Jesus, Dad,
- 19:39Speaker 1: it's a little less when you hang out with my daughter, please,
- 19:42Speaker 1: But yes, I used to do your car for a
- 19:45Speaker 1: very long time.
- 19:46Speaker 2: Yeah, back then, I used to do Eternity cologne.
- 19:49Speaker 3: Did you ever.
- 19:51Speaker 4: Eternity was my joint?
- 19:52Speaker 3: Did you ever do c K one? I didn't know,
- 19:55Speaker 3: because because you you were a recentable human being. Yeah.
- 20:00Speaker 1: Why because one came in and I was like, that
- 20:04Speaker 1: was what all the kids were wearing. I'm like, I
- 20:06Speaker 1: gotta do c K one because he's Eire that in
- 20:08Speaker 1: Abacambria and Fish. I never did it my coming Fish
- 20:11Speaker 1: and I crossed over to that place. Yeah, but but yeah,
- 20:15Speaker 1: K one was another one.
- 20:16Speaker 3: That people were really into.
- 20:17Speaker 2: My my my brothers were really into cologne. I mean
- 20:20Speaker 2: they they did like Pierre Cardan.
- 20:24Speaker 4: Obsession, remember obsession.
- 20:27Speaker 3: A lot of my friends cool water, cool water.
- 20:30Speaker 2: Yeah, yes, Snoop mentioned that in the song yeah Aramis Cologne.
- 20:34Speaker 3: Do you remember Aramis?
- 20:35Speaker 2: I mean these are like hardcore like eighties Colone. Yes,
- 20:39Speaker 2: you know, yes, but my brother's really heavy into it.
- 20:42Speaker 2: But no, man, it was like it was I was.
- 20:44Speaker 2: I was Eternity for a while.
- 20:46Speaker 1: Well, c K one, Cavin Klein had that c K one. Yeah,
- 20:51Speaker 1: and then Tommy Hill figure had had a thing that
- 20:54Speaker 1: everybody is everybody that were the Tommy Hill figure that
- 20:57Speaker 1: would spray, They tell me her figure cologne two?
- 21:00Speaker 3: What about Uh let me see, oh hair product? What
- 21:03Speaker 3: what did you put in your hair? Hair product?
- 21:07Speaker 1: If you're gonna ask me if I did test float is,
- 21:09Speaker 1: the answer is that.
- 21:12Speaker 3: You finished this. Hey, we're all talking about my hair trauma?
- 21:16Speaker 4: What is?
- 21:17Speaker 3: What is that float is? Today's float is is? Today's
- 21:21Speaker 3: float is?
- 21:22Speaker 1: Is like this kind of oil wax thing you know
- 21:27Speaker 1: that you like put in your hair.
- 21:30Speaker 3: It's like a pummy, but it's more like grease.
- 21:32Speaker 1: It's like a VAPORU Like yeah, like look, that's that's
- 21:36Speaker 1: what it is, is right there?
- 21:37Speaker 4: Oh no, I've never seen that before.
- 21:40Speaker 3: What is it like?
- 21:41Speaker 1: It's like like it's straight up mon take hard, straight
- 21:44Speaker 1: up month And what was nuts about it? It's like,
- 21:48Speaker 1: as you know, the summers are are very top for
- 21:50Speaker 1: l A and I would put that in my hair
- 21:53Speaker 1: and just trying to slick it back, you know, just
- 21:55Speaker 1: put that shine thing. And I had like the little
- 21:57Speaker 1: the little combs that will cover your hand, you know,
- 22:00Speaker 1: around it, and then you just do this and.
- 22:04Speaker 3: Come you know, noon gets really hot. Oh start ripping, starts.
- 22:10Speaker 1: Melting through your forehead, you know, and the forest starts
- 22:13Speaker 1: breaking out.
- 22:13Speaker 3: Yeah, test flood was I I learned that from my homemies.
- 22:19Speaker 3: From you. Yeah, my homies did thress floating is all
- 22:22Speaker 3: the time. Man.
- 22:23Speaker 4: It must have been like an l a thing. I
- 22:25Speaker 4: don't I don't remember.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Yeah, you know it was hard in Chicago. Uh Aquinet hairspray.
- 22:30Speaker 2: Did you guys do Aquinet here?
- 22:33Speaker 3: Man?
- 22:33Speaker 2: I'll tell you something I remember, Like we used to
- 22:36Speaker 2: have to take the bus, and you know, Chicago is
- 22:39Speaker 2: crazy cold.
- 22:40Speaker 4: You know, sometimes you're taking.
- 22:41Speaker 3: The bus it's like below zero.
- 22:43Speaker 4: And the girls I remember the girls, like.
- 22:46Speaker 2: Their hair would be wet and they put Aquinet hairspray
- 22:50Speaker 2: and they get out in the cold and it would
- 22:53Speaker 2: freeze the Aquinet hairspray on their hair.
- 22:57Speaker 4: See you would just see the white from the hairspray
- 23:01Speaker 4: on your hair. I kid, you know, man, they'd be
- 23:04Speaker 4: there like.
- 23:06Speaker 2: In the bathroom it's big like smokel Did you ever
- 23:10Speaker 2: do moose? No? I was more of just sort of
- 23:14Speaker 2: like a like a hairspray dude, you know, like you
- 23:17Speaker 2: know I had a mullet, you know.
- 23:19Speaker 3: Hairspray, hair spray. Yeah, a mullet. No, I never had
- 23:22Speaker 3: a mullet. I had a bowl cut.
- 23:24Speaker 5: I used to rock a mullet hard, hard, I mean
- 23:28Speaker 5: even I even had like lines on the side. You
- 23:31Speaker 5: were way cooler like me, dog, mullet like you know, dog,
- 23:34Speaker 5: you were drying here in the front way cooler than me.
- 23:37Speaker 4: Bro. You never you never had a mullet. You were
- 23:39Speaker 4: a busboy and you never had a mullet. Come on, I.
- 23:44Speaker 3: Was a buzzboy in the valley.
- 23:46Speaker 4: Bro, you didn't have a mood Latino.
- 23:48Speaker 3: No, I did not. I did not. I did not party.
- 23:50Speaker 3: What is it? No, man, I had my dad.
- 23:57Speaker 1: It was making sure that my my super cut haircut
- 24:01Speaker 1: was was conservative enough to stay out of trouble.
- 24:04Speaker 4: And your car mullets went together. Many did.
- 24:07Speaker 1: It was like that and Ups trucks, you know, Ups.
- 24:11Speaker 4: Did your pop rock and mullet.
- 24:13Speaker 1: No.
- 24:13Speaker 3: He was the guy that was like.
- 24:15Speaker 1: Blow drying every morning, right, blow drying, blow dry, and
- 24:19Speaker 1: blow dr blow dry, blow dry, blow d and then
- 24:22Speaker 1: locked in. Well he would blow dry and it would
- 24:24Speaker 1: just stay the way you know he wanted.
- 24:27Speaker 3: It was he awkward at hairspray.
- 24:30Speaker 1: Uh no, no, but but I, uh, what did I
- 24:35Speaker 1: do my hair is like I have the mixture of
- 24:38Speaker 1: my dad in my mom's hair. It's very thick and
- 24:40Speaker 1: it's a lot of it. So I have to put
- 24:43Speaker 1: so much product in my hair. So like there's tons
- 24:45Speaker 1: of pictures from my twenties where I just have.
- 24:50Speaker 3: Literally glue, like just glue put it and just slick
- 24:54Speaker 3: it all the way back.
- 24:54Speaker 2: And it was like, you know, I remember I remember going,
- 24:57Speaker 2: I remember being out on you and I got an
- 24:58Speaker 2: award one time, and I remember you had your hair
- 25:01Speaker 2: like that.
- 25:01Speaker 3: I'm not thinking like.
- 25:02Speaker 4: Oh man, that looks cool.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Yeah it looked like, uh, you look very look back
- 25:06Speaker 1: at my field, so like you no, no, you look
- 25:08Speaker 1: very regal.
- 25:09Speaker 3: Yeah, look at thanks you had.
- 25:10Speaker 4: A regal and then you had to shut on.
- 25:12Speaker 1: And I always got I always kind of identify the
- 25:17Speaker 1: slick hairbag look with like with like, I mean I'm elegant.
- 25:23Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 25:23Speaker 1: Like I just like and I had a macy suit,
- 25:26Speaker 1: you know, I go to Sears and Macy's to get
- 25:28Speaker 1: my suits at the first couple of years of my
- 25:30Speaker 1: career because I didn't have it was in pain like that,
- 25:33Speaker 1: you know. So so I was just like my hair
- 25:36Speaker 1: back and be like I am elegant now quite dapper, yeah,
- 25:39Speaker 1: quite dap.
- 25:50Speaker 3: Where did you get your socks? Sucks?
- 25:53Speaker 1: Let me ask you why? Let me tell you why.
- 25:55Speaker 1: I tell you why because we used to order the
- 26:00Speaker 1: store and like buy the packs.
- 26:02Speaker 3: Oh yeah at Costco?
- 26:04Speaker 4: Oh yeah, like like Hanes yeah, like.
- 26:07Speaker 1: Yeah it was like it was because did you ever
- 26:09Speaker 1: get did you ever get closes at Costco?
- 26:13Speaker 3: Yeah? The socks? Yeah, for sure? For sure, socks and
- 26:17Speaker 3: underwear from Costco?
- 26:18Speaker 2: Oh man, Yeah, I mean to this day, like my kids,
- 26:23Speaker 2: that's like Christmas present for them.
- 26:27Speaker 1: Even there, my mom still puts that in the bag
- 26:30Speaker 1: under that Christmas.
- 26:31Speaker 3: Come on, you could always use new underwear. My dad
- 26:34Speaker 3: gives me colognes every year or too.
- 26:36Speaker 2: What is it?
- 26:36Speaker 3: Okay?
- 26:37Speaker 4: So your car was does he still give you your car?
- 26:39Speaker 3: Doesn't give me a dru card anymore? You know, he
- 26:41Speaker 3: just wants to switch it up? So what is okay?
- 26:42Speaker 3: What does he give you?
- 26:43Speaker 1: What?
- 26:43Speaker 2: What is?
- 26:43Speaker 3: What does he deem as?
- 26:45Speaker 1: Like like he goes and gets like a Chanelle one
- 26:47Speaker 1: and I'm like that, like that's too expensive, Like I'm
- 26:50Speaker 1: never gonna wear cologne, you know. Yeah, I'm like nsis
- 26:55Speaker 1: or something like that. Yeah, where do you get a suit.
- 26:59Speaker 1: If you're like I'm to get a suit, where do
- 27:01Speaker 1: you get it from?
- 27:02Speaker 3: Huh?
- 27:03Speaker 2: I find that like John Varvados fits me well. Uh,
- 27:08Speaker 2: I think that brand fits me well across the board,
- 27:11Speaker 2: you know, whether it's like a leather jacket.
- 27:13Speaker 3: Or a very great cuts. Yeah.
- 27:15Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, so I've been I've been sticking to them.
- 27:19Speaker 3: What else did I get?
- 27:20Speaker 2: I got a yeah? No, I mean I think done primarily.
- 27:24Speaker 2: Uh the show the show I just did h on
- 27:28Speaker 2: CBS Bowl. All of my suits were all John Barbados.
- 27:31Speaker 3: Yeah, you look great, you look very well. Thank you,
- 27:36Speaker 3: very apportunity. I feel like they used Moose in your
- 27:39Speaker 3: hair and that show, No, no what they where they use?
- 27:42Speaker 4: Michael was my was my hair guy?
- 27:46Speaker 2: Yeah, I think he did use Moose. He used to
- 27:48Speaker 2: blow dry it and he had a very specific system
- 27:50Speaker 2: in place for it and he was he was awesome,
- 27:53Speaker 2: had a great, great makeup and hair team.
- 27:55Speaker 1: But it's interesting to think about, you know how much
- 27:59Speaker 1: her fashion has changed?
- 28:00Speaker 3: Yeah, every decade's the thing?
- 28:03Speaker 2: Right?
- 28:03Speaker 1: And for me I wear the same thing every.
- 28:08Speaker 3: Like what like? What?
- 28:09Speaker 1: So what would be a good suit for you? What's
- 28:11Speaker 1: your what's your goal to for suits? I I think
- 28:15Speaker 1: Paul Smith.
- 28:16Speaker 3: It's a good one. Fish me really well. I don't
- 28:19Speaker 3: have to alter a lot of that stuff.
- 28:21Speaker 4: I love how he does all the different colors inside.
- 28:24Speaker 3: But I like, like, you know, you do the socks too,
- 28:27Speaker 3: do you do? You do you rock? His socks are cool?
- 28:30Speaker 3: But you know, I hate to but let's keep it real.
- 28:33Speaker 3: I'm gonna keep it very real.
- 28:35Speaker 1: The Postman socks don't hold well, what do you mean,
- 28:38Speaker 1: like like you bring it up over here and they
- 28:41Speaker 1: don't have that rick?
- 28:42Speaker 3: Yeah, they don't. They don't have a crip. You know,
- 28:44Speaker 3: it's like a way.
- 28:44Speaker 1: It's almost like the fabric is so than it's so
- 28:47Speaker 1: like right, you know, delicate. It's just doesn't I love
- 28:50Speaker 1: the prints right of the socks. They're really different, but
- 28:53Speaker 1: it's just like it's just like falls apart. Yeah that's
- 28:54Speaker 1: a good that's a good brand.
- 28:57Speaker 3: But I do like I do like I'm a big
- 28:59Speaker 3: double L guy.
- 29:01Speaker 2: Yeah, which is the three piece joint that you had
- 29:05Speaker 2: on the previous episode?
- 29:07Speaker 3: It was pretty freaking cool. Yeah, So I do I
- 29:11Speaker 3: do I do that? Is it more casual or is
- 29:15Speaker 3: it it's like in between? Right, it's in between.
- 29:17Speaker 1: It's it could be formal enough if you want to
- 29:19Speaker 1: go to an evening thing, but like also formal and
- 29:21Speaker 1: casual enough that you can wear it all day to
- 29:23Speaker 1: like you know, like meetings here and there a stuff.
- 29:25Speaker 3: So that's I really like that stuff. Where do you
- 29:28Speaker 3: get that?
- 29:29Speaker 1: I mean because you go to they have their own
- 29:30Speaker 1: store right like that, Like you can do it online too,
- 29:34Speaker 1: but I go to the store on Melrows. They have
- 29:36Speaker 1: a really cool and those guys are awesome. They really
- 29:39Speaker 1: hope me out when I get there. Yeah, and but yeah,
- 29:42Speaker 1: I like Double Rrel because it's like you're trying but
- 29:44Speaker 1: you're not.
- 29:45Speaker 3: You know, it's very comfortable and the way they do.
- 29:47Speaker 4: Their stores right, they really know how to sort of.
- 29:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 29:51Speaker 1: So for those who were don't know what Double L
- 29:53Speaker 1: is is, it's a sub collection.
- 29:56Speaker 3: Of of Ralph Lauren.
- 29:59Speaker 1: But it is kind of like a little bit more
- 30:02Speaker 1: old American cowboy, a little bit more vintage old school
- 30:06Speaker 1: formal soldier, like you know, it's like very yeah, like
- 30:09Speaker 1: old school Americana, you know, like yeah, really cool stuff.
- 30:12Speaker 3: Why do you like that? I just have never seen
- 30:16Speaker 3: people like me wear that, and I thought it was
- 30:19Speaker 3: such a.
- 30:19Speaker 4: Unique look classic Americana.
- 30:22Speaker 1: Yeah, it was like west it was a little western
- 30:24Speaker 1: and a little things or whatever, and I just thought
- 30:25Speaker 1: it was really unique and really fine. And uh and
- 30:29Speaker 1: I was right now, people, you know, right, but but
- 30:32Speaker 1: you know, it's also hard to find sometimes, you know,
- 30:33Speaker 1: because there's no stores anywhere, you know.
- 30:36Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, no, that's interesting what you just said.
- 30:38Speaker 2: About the people who look like you normally don't wear
- 30:41Speaker 2: that type of stuff. You know.
- 30:43Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, it's it's and I think, I guess, I
- 30:46Speaker 1: guess when it comes to like when it comes to fashion, you.
- 30:48Speaker 3: Know, I I don't know.
- 30:51Speaker 1: You know, when I was very young, I started thinking
- 30:53Speaker 1: I have to dress like who I want to be. Yeah,
- 30:56Speaker 1: you know so, but I didn't have a sense of fashion, right,
- 31:00Speaker 1: so I will be dressing like in quotes, who I
- 31:04Speaker 1: wanted to be. And I just got a suit at Seris.
- 31:06Speaker 1: You know, look it was just like my se because.
- 31:10Speaker 3: It because it's so chip.
- 31:12Speaker 1: It was like, you know, it's like my first suit
- 31:15Speaker 1: that I took to my first up front when I
- 31:18Speaker 1: got my first show, was was from Seis.
- 31:22Speaker 3: For the Fox upfront. Yeah oh yeah. People were like,
- 31:24Speaker 3: this is a nice suit where you get it? And
- 31:26Speaker 3: I'm like, hello.
- 31:31Speaker 2: They opened the they opened the Insights series exactly like
- 31:35Speaker 2: it literally is a serious series brand.
- 31:37Speaker 4: No style and fashion.
- 31:38Speaker 2: You know, when you when you grew up in Chicago
- 31:40Speaker 2: and you grew up in the inner city, style is
- 31:42Speaker 2: everything everything, man, it determines you your personality.
- 31:48Speaker 1: But there was so much influence then, so everybody could
- 31:50Speaker 1: follow a stream.
- 31:51Speaker 3: LA was all over the place. Yeah it was it.
- 31:54Speaker 1: Yeah, it was all over the place, like you know,
- 31:55Speaker 1: if it depended on where you lived, you know, like
- 31:57Speaker 1: tell me, I'll figure how to moment.
- 31:59Speaker 3: Abricambia had a moment and.
- 32:01Speaker 1: Then like you know, and there was like the Dicky
- 32:04Speaker 1: generation you know, and that kind of stuff. You know,
- 32:07Speaker 1: so it's like then Diesel came where all the jeans
- 32:09Speaker 1: and everyone's wearing Diesel jeans all the time.
- 32:12Speaker 3: Did you ever wear at Hardy?
- 32:14Speaker 1: No, I wasn't that festive? Yeah, Ed Hardy there is
- 32:18Speaker 1: definitely not not me.
- 32:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:20Speaker 1: I just couldn't do the Ryanstones Ryanstone jeans, you know,
- 32:24Speaker 1: like I just couldn't do this, you know, yeah, I
- 32:26Speaker 1: mean no dis but no, no, No, some people were
- 32:30Speaker 1: them and they you know, they definitely you know, they
- 32:35Speaker 1: like their v Nex, you know, they like.
- 32:37Speaker 2: Their hed You ever see that skit on SNL with
- 32:41Speaker 2: with Ben Stiller, the v NEX skit where he gets
- 32:44Speaker 2: arrested because his v neck is.
- 32:46Speaker 1: Too No, no, no, everybody was about to check out.
- 32:54Speaker 2: Yeah, you know what was big in Chicago, you know
- 32:57Speaker 2: at that time. You know what's crazy is that it's
- 33:00Speaker 2: all coming back now. I just saw Pharrell wearing or
- 33:03Speaker 2: even even Kendrick Lamar at the Super Bowl.
- 33:07Speaker 3: Like flared the bell bottoms.
- 33:08Speaker 1: Yeah, bell bottom jeans with the with the with the
- 33:11Speaker 1: buffy leather jacket. Really cool look, by the way, I
- 33:14Speaker 1: really liked Yeah he was wearing so so, you.
- 33:16Speaker 4: Know, it's funny.
- 33:17Speaker 2: I tell you my two sons, uh, you knows, as
- 33:21Speaker 2: they were growing up, they would see photos of me
- 33:23Speaker 2: in the nineties and like, and all they did was.
- 33:26Speaker 3: Make fun of me.
- 33:27Speaker 2: Man made fun of my my hairstyle, made fun of
- 33:29Speaker 2: my clothes.
- 33:30Speaker 4: Oh my god, dad, you look so nineties. Look at
- 33:32Speaker 4: your curtain hair. You know they you know that style,
- 33:35Speaker 4: like boy, Yeah, they would call that.
- 33:37Speaker 2: The curtain hairstyle because it looked like a crude Yeah.
- 33:42Speaker 4: And then and then cut too. My son has a
- 33:44Speaker 4: curtain hairstyle.
- 33:45Speaker 2: Now he's dressing exactly like I dressed in the nineties,
- 33:49Speaker 2: And I'm like, well, hold on a second, Like all
- 33:51Speaker 2: these years you made fun of me, and now it
- 33:53Speaker 2: it's the style now there.
- 33:54Speaker 3: You know, that's cool.
- 33:55Speaker 4: But you see Kendrick wearing sort of like.
- 33:57Speaker 3: I mean, all that retro thing is back.
- 34:00Speaker 1: You know, everybody boycotted it during the time it was popular,
- 34:03Speaker 1: and now it's coming back.
- 34:04Speaker 3: As this trend. The nineties are bad everybody.
- 34:06Speaker 1: I mean, I've seen so many of my my nephew's friends,
- 34:09Speaker 1: you know, wearing literally nineties clothes, right, vintage nineties clothes
- 34:14Speaker 1: like they're brand new.
- 34:15Speaker 2: Did you when you did the nineties show? Was that
- 34:18Speaker 2: part of like were they that specific when you did that?
- 34:22Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 34:22Speaker 1: Yeah, no, No, they really authentically. I mean our stuff
- 34:26Speaker 1: was vintage clothes from the nineties.
- 34:28Speaker 4: So did you find it you were wearing stuff like that?
- 34:30Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 34:30Speaker 1: I went with like a more of like a richerd gear,
- 34:33Speaker 1: you know, kind of the Richard direction nineties.
- 34:36Speaker 3: Yeah, I was doing nineties affairs Richard.
- 34:39Speaker 1: Yeah, like high like high waste, like high wasted pants,
- 34:43Speaker 1: you know, and like the puffy little code and you know.
- 34:46Speaker 2: Right right, that's a good that's a good point of reference.
- 34:49Speaker 2: Is that your point of reference? You were doing the show.
- 34:52Speaker 1: Roughly because I've never seen someone like me wear the
- 34:54Speaker 1: richerd gear. By the way, also, I like to I
- 34:58Speaker 1: like to point out that Richard Years making a heroic
- 35:02Speaker 1: comeback into pop culture.
- 35:04Speaker 3: I just watched him on the on the Agency Agency.
- 35:08Speaker 3: God is so good. He was born to play a
- 35:11Speaker 3: boss bro, he was.
- 35:13Speaker 4: He always killed, you know. I watched that show and Ichael, damn, Richard,
- 35:16Speaker 4: where you been man?
- 35:17Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 35:17Speaker 3: Like we missed you man. Yeah, I feel a little
- 35:19Speaker 3: wobbed like.
- 35:20Speaker 1: And I've been seeing him in some interviews and he's
- 35:22Speaker 1: like very very he's got opinions. He's really sharing his mind,
- 35:27Speaker 1: and I respect that he's you know, he's coming out
- 35:29Speaker 1: here and and saying his mind.
- 35:31Speaker 3: It's it's awesome. It's awesome. Yeah.
- 35:33Speaker 1: Well, maybe this is a really good opportunity to ask
- 35:36Speaker 1: all of the fans out there that, you know, if
