Ep 62 The Evolution of Dezawa MuseCells®: What We've Learned Since Their Discovery
In 2010, Professor Mari Dezawa and her research team at Tohoku University identified a distinct subpopulation of cells within standard mesenchymal stem cell samples, cells that survived and retained their differentiation potential under stress conditions that would typically damage or destroy conventional cells. That discovery marked the beginning of what is now known as Muse cell research, short for multilineage-differentiating stress-enduring cells, and the years since have brought substantial scientific progress in understanding exactly what these cells are and how they behave.
