- 2:03Speaker 1: Latina Web of support. Yeah, okay, come on, y'all, man, guys,
- 2:10Speaker 1: let's go. Let's do of support that we have, we
- 2:15Speaker 1: have spun over the years. Look at us, look at us,
- 2:18Speaker 1: look at us. Not bad. So today we have a
- 2:24Speaker 1: just fun episode for y'all that we're calling let's be
- 2:28Speaker 1: annoying today because we saw this really funny tweet by
- 2:34Speaker 1: this writer who was like looking to feature some podcast
- 2:38Speaker 1: in something and she says, I'm not really fond of
- 2:44Speaker 1: two pals chatting. And I sent it to Mola and
- 2:48Speaker 1: I was like, well, we're two pals chatting. My computer
- 2:51Speaker 1: was doing crazy things. But yes, we are two pals chatting.
- 2:54Speaker 1: We are a chat cast um proudly so, very proudly so,
- 3:00Speaker 1: and we love to be annoying. It's like our whole thing.
- 3:04Speaker 1: It's our whole brand. It's our whole You have no
- 3:07Speaker 1: idea how annoying like our friends and families sometimes find us. Um,
- 3:13Speaker 1: you guys love it because you know you tune in,
- 3:17Speaker 1: but understand we are annoying, and so we wanted to
- 3:20Speaker 1: just come on here and just indulge in that today.
- 3:25Speaker 1: The other day I was telling well, not the other day.
- 3:27Speaker 1: This happens a lot, but I was telling Fernando, my partner,
- 3:30Speaker 1: like do you remember when I told you this? And
- 3:31Speaker 1: he was like, oh, I don't know because you talk
- 3:33Speaker 1: a lot. And it's like I don't remember actually because
- 3:37Speaker 1: you talk so much. I mean yeah, like oh my god.
- 3:45Speaker 1: But also yeah, like I can't even be mad. Like
- 3:47Speaker 1: it's true. It's called the gift of gab. Okay, not
- 3:51Speaker 1: everybody has it. It's a blessing. It's so true. And
- 3:58Speaker 1: like sometimes you know, are folks that like hate on
- 4:01Speaker 1: the chat cast and like, well, I do think we
- 4:03Speaker 1: do like very highbrow work and obviously like we have
- 4:07Speaker 1: some really great episodes. We've interviewed amazing people, but sometimes
- 4:11Speaker 1: like you just want to have fun and talk to
- 4:13Speaker 1: your home girl and and and let it be a
- 4:16Speaker 1: podcast episode. So that's what we're doing today. Oh yeah,
- 4:18Speaker 1: I think some of my favorite podcasts to listen to
- 4:22Speaker 1: UM is where there's really no script and they're just
- 4:26Speaker 1: gibber jabbering for a long as time, right because why not?
- 4:31Speaker 1: Because it's fun. It's fun, and I mean there's so
- 4:34Speaker 1: much too, there's there's a lot for us to actually
- 4:37Speaker 1: cover today. We actually like, even though we're being annoying,
- 4:40Speaker 1: we have notes. Um, yes, we have notes. We're still professionals.
- 4:45Speaker 1: All right, we're like annoying professionals, but you know, I'm
- 4:48Speaker 1: still prepared. We're doing it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, so
- 4:53Speaker 1: let's be in Okay. I was on on their live
- 5:00Speaker 1: in news like program. It was a six minute segment,
- 5:05Speaker 1: very long. They hit me up two hours beforehand, um,
- 5:09Speaker 1: and it was for four twenty. So me and my
- 5:13Speaker 1: UM friend who also helps us with our cannabis sponsorships, Jasmine,
- 5:18Speaker 1: She and I went on together to talk about Might
- 5:21Speaker 1: one Dad the podcast and four twenty and latinos and
- 5:25Speaker 1: the cannabis industry. And it was nuts. It was so
- 5:28Speaker 1: wild because I never thought that I would be on
- 5:32Speaker 1: being interviewed by anchors about weed about my weed podcast,
- 5:39Speaker 1: Like it's so random but so fun. Um, it was
- 5:44Speaker 1: scary because I'm very uncomfortable still with my Spanish, but
- 5:48Speaker 1: I practiced beforehand. I had a little script, I had
- 5:51Speaker 1: my talking points, so yeah, it was fun. I think
- 5:54Speaker 1: it went well. You did so good. The interview, well
- 5:59Speaker 1: with the both of you, was really great, like the
- 6:01Speaker 1: way Jasmine contextualized like the stigma in the community, in
- 6:05Speaker 1: the Latino community, criminalization, and also how like many Latin
- 6:09Speaker 1: American countries are actually legalizing cannabis, so like, don't act
- 6:14Speaker 1: like they're not doing it in our home countries either.
- 6:17Speaker 1: And so I thought, y'all, you did an amazing job.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Mala with your Spanish. Um, I was like, whatcha where?
- 6:24Speaker 1: Like what does she mean? Because yeah, you have an accent,
- 6:29Speaker 1: you know, like many folks that speak Spanish, but like
- 6:32Speaker 1: you did it, like you had the word. The pronunciation
- 6:36Speaker 1: was fine, it was on point, like you did it,
- 6:38Speaker 1: so props. And the segment was so good. So we
- 6:42Speaker 1: definitely need to link it on our website for sure,
- 6:44Speaker 1: but we'll link it here on in the show notes
- 6:46Speaker 1: so y'all can check it out. We will do that.
- 6:50Speaker 1: And yeah, so that was how basically I launched my
- 6:54Speaker 1: four twenty and this year was the first time I
- 6:57Speaker 1: really like celebrated for twenty with the events. In the past,
- 7:01Speaker 1: I've like smoked with friends or had edibles with friends
- 7:04Speaker 1: and you just you know hang out. But this time
- 7:06Speaker 1: there was a lot going on because of the podcast.
- 7:09Speaker 1: So there was the interview. Then I hosted a panel
- 7:14Speaker 1: by We All Grow Latina and it was just like
- 7:17Speaker 1: a whole host of Latina's in the cannabis industry, everybody
- 7:21Speaker 1: from PR people to like a literal chemist who's like
- 7:25Speaker 1: a microbiologist and stuff and she makes you know weed
- 7:29Speaker 1: that helps you sleep. All these amazing Latinas. Um. That
- 7:33Speaker 1: was really fun. And then I went to this event
- 7:35Speaker 1: um for a weed brand called Lucado, which is owned
- 7:39Speaker 1: by a Latina from Mexico City, a Mohicana um and
- 7:44Speaker 1: from No, she's from Guadalajatta. Um, a Mexicana from Guadalajata
- 7:48Speaker 1: and she's amazing. UM. I also went to Chicali Studios
- 7:53Speaker 1: for their like for twenty Customer Appreciation sash. That was
- 7:57Speaker 1: very fun. So yeah, like she's like a really good
- 7:59Speaker 1: for twenty. I'm like excited to like really be like
- 8:02Speaker 1: an official like weed girl, you know, and like go
- 8:05Speaker 1: to weed stuff and like do weed things. So tune
- 8:08Speaker 1: into my podcast to hear more about it. So official
- 8:13Speaker 1: because you've been going to cannabis events for years now,
- 8:17Speaker 1: but like obviously creating and hosting a podcast like puts
- 8:21Speaker 1: you on a different tier of like pr list you know,
- 8:25Speaker 1: and like collab lists. So super exciting. Um. I also
- 8:29Speaker 1: checked out The wheel Grow panel was so hectic because
- 8:32Speaker 1: I was like on a work meeting that went went late.
- 8:35Speaker 1: It was supposed to be done by four, so I
- 8:37Speaker 1: like had my little like work computer on one side
- 8:40Speaker 1: and then my personal laptop on the other side, and
- 8:43Speaker 1: I was like doing both the multitasking. It's honestly unhealthy.
- 8:49Speaker 1: But I like had to like tune in and stream
- 8:52Speaker 1: like to see you, you know, host it. And also
- 8:54Speaker 1: like all the women were amazing. Um, so shout out
- 8:57Speaker 1: we all grow for reaching out. Um yeah, and you know,
- 9:02Speaker 1: I'm glad you had a good for twenty Yes, thank you,
- 9:05Speaker 1: thank you so much. You can't wait until next year, Um,
- 9:08Speaker 1: maybe we'll do We'll have to host. So I was
- 9:10Speaker 1: gonna say, We're gonna have to host our own event
- 9:12Speaker 1: next year. I think so. I think. So you have
- 9:15Speaker 1: a lot going on right now. I do so. By
- 9:18Speaker 1: the time this episode airs, I will have already made
- 9:21Speaker 1: a decision. But I'm actually going to New York in
- 9:24Speaker 1: the next couple of days, um, to check out a school,
- 9:28Speaker 1: to check out I've talked I've talked about it now
- 9:29Speaker 1: on publicly, but to check out Columbia UM and decide,
- 9:33Speaker 1: you know, between a program based here in l A
- 9:35Speaker 1: and then obviously Columbia in New York. And so I'm
- 9:38Speaker 1: going to be, you know, just doing the little the
- 9:40Speaker 1: little campus tour. And I actually, believe it or not,
- 9:43Speaker 1: have never been to New York. So what a fucking
- 9:45Speaker 1: opportunity that my first time in New York is going
- 9:47Speaker 1: to be to check out a fucking IVY league, Like wow,
- 9:51Speaker 1: So I'm excited. I'm going to be staying with my
- 9:54Speaker 1: friend Richard. They're my one of my close friends from
- 9:57Speaker 1: undergrad and they're living in New York now, so I'm
- 10:00Speaker 1: going to be hanging with them and seeing like some
- 10:02Speaker 1: of our friends and and just doing the whole thing.
- 10:04Speaker 1: So it's going to be super quick, tight turnaround. UM.
- 10:09Speaker 1: I also want to get a run in, Like I'm
- 10:11Speaker 1: dying to run in Central Park. I feel like how
- 10:14Speaker 1: iconic I have to get a run in there. Like
- 10:17Speaker 1: I'm in a little rom com, so I got to
- 10:19Speaker 1: do that. Hell yeah, I love that. Oh my god,
- 10:23Speaker 1: are you gonna document it? You're gonna make content? You
- 10:25Speaker 1: know what. I absolutely have to make content out of
- 10:28Speaker 1: the strip, I really do. Like that's just multiple, multiple
- 10:33Speaker 1: assets that I can leave with you know. So yeah,
- 10:38Speaker 1: I definitely I definitely have to. You know, I got
- 10:40Speaker 1: to love it. I'm so excited. Content. The content never stops, y'all. Like,
- 10:45Speaker 1: the content never stops. It's horrible. It's horrible. It honestly
- 10:49Speaker 1: is like I didn't know that when we were then
- 10:53Speaker 1: we when we started a podcast, it was going to
- 10:55Speaker 1: lead to all of this, which I love it. Blessing
- 10:58Speaker 1: is amazing, grateful, love it, Thank you so much. But
- 11:01Speaker 1: also like the social media aspect of it. While it's
- 11:05Speaker 1: like its own job, clearly, you know. Yeah, and so
- 11:08Speaker 1: it's it's a lot sometimes, um you know, sometimes we're
- 11:12Speaker 1: very quiet on our on our local Instagram, you know,
- 11:16Speaker 1: and then we're quiet on our personal and so it's
- 11:18Speaker 1: just a lot to manage and maintain. Also, when we started,
- 11:22Speaker 1: we were not using the word content. Content was not
- 11:25Speaker 1: a thing. Brand. We were not a brand. Content wasn't
- 11:30Speaker 1: a thing. Brands weren't like brand language, brand identity. We
- 11:34Speaker 1: were doing it without really knowing we were doing it.
- 11:37Speaker 1: We were just like, oh, it's cute and aesthetic, Like
- 11:39Speaker 1: of course we're going to have the colors and the
- 11:41Speaker 1: logo and the photos. Because for us that was like natural.
- 11:47Speaker 1: It's like the the way things have grown and evolved.
- 11:52Speaker 1: It was just we're posting to Instagram. But now it's
- 11:57Speaker 1: it's the algorithm, it's reels, it's stories, it's engaging all
- 12:01Speaker 1: aspects of the platform. It's multi platform, it's video, it's
- 12:06Speaker 1: s c O, it's websites, it's it's it's content buckets,
- 12:11Speaker 1: content calendars that one and I also like have now
- 12:19Speaker 1: like I'm officially like a calms girl, like for my job,
- 12:25Speaker 1: I like run a social media page and I like
- 12:28Speaker 1: developed things and it's a whole thing. And so I'm
- 12:31Speaker 1: like this week at this past week, actually, I like
- 12:35Speaker 1: wasn't wearing my blue light glasses for like a few hours,
- 12:38Speaker 1: and so by the end of the day, I was dying,
- 12:40Speaker 1: Like my eyes were just like exhausted. I was getting
- 12:44Speaker 1: a headache. And so now I'm like online even more,
- 12:48Speaker 1: and you know, it's like a part. It is a
- 12:51Speaker 1: part of the job now, like I mean, like literally
- 12:54Speaker 1: it's a part of my job, my day job, this job,
- 12:57Speaker 1: my personal you know, and like the personal like if
- 13:00Speaker 1: you all don't know, like MoMA and I keep our personal,
- 13:04Speaker 1: I g s like active and going because it all
- 13:07Speaker 1: feeds back into look at and so it's a lot
- 13:11Speaker 1: we love it, grateful, but also creating content can suck
- 13:15Speaker 1: sometimes it can. It can, and then it's just funny
- 13:19Speaker 1: to look around and be like I'm a content girl
- 13:24Speaker 1: and I'm creating content and I'm out in the world
- 13:26Speaker 1: that I'm in l a with every other content creating,
- 13:30Speaker 1: bitch making, taking videos and photos of myself by myself
- 13:35Speaker 1: doing things. Yep, it's so true. This is you know,
- 13:40Speaker 1: when I'm out in the street like trying to capture
- 13:42Speaker 1: my content, I'm like I'm another one, you know. And
- 13:47Speaker 1: not that it's embarrassing, but it's just like it's like
- 13:51Speaker 1: one conversation is like be in the moment, be present,
- 13:54Speaker 1: be mindful, lovely when you're when you're creating content. In
- 14:00Speaker 1: practically some days, like living in the moment means doing
- 14:04Speaker 1: it with your phone literally like no, this is the
- 14:08Speaker 1: moment and I will capture it. So everyone else can
- 14:12Speaker 1: relive it with me later on my Instagram page. It's exhausting,
- 14:17Speaker 1: but it's a living. It's the life that we've chosen
- 14:20Speaker 1: for ourselves. True, you know what, No, the life chose us.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Since it's true, you're right, you're right. We really didn't
- 14:25Speaker 1: choose this. We we had a podcast as a hobby
- 14:29Speaker 1: and then it it like became so much more. Um oh,
- 14:34Speaker 1: we were just way too good at it. Back of
- 15:21Speaker 1: it and a little ship. The thing is that we
- 15:31Speaker 1: were too good at it and we didn't even were
- 15:34Speaker 1: like a fun We're just gonna do this for fun. No,
- 15:36Speaker 1: we were so good at it, so excellent that we
- 15:39Speaker 1: were forced to go pro. Our listeners forced us to
- 15:44Speaker 1: go pro. Is what you're saying, do you do? You
- 15:47Speaker 1: remember when we first mapped out look at and we
- 15:50Speaker 1: were talking about a cadence and we said once a month.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Oh yeah, back in the day. Back in the day,
- 15:56Speaker 1: we were like once a month. And then the listeners
- 16:00Speaker 1: were like, when's the next one? When's the next one?
- 16:03Speaker 1: And we were like, okay, well we have to do
- 16:04Speaker 1: two times a month, and like that's how the cadence
- 16:07Speaker 1: screw to that. There were there have been some periods
- 16:10Speaker 1: where we've done weekly, but the weekly is a lot,
- 16:13Speaker 1: and we're still trying to build up to weekly. But
- 16:16Speaker 1: you know, until we I feel, until we're we have
- 16:19Speaker 1: the budget for like an associate producer, like the weekly
- 16:24Speaker 1: is just it's just not something we can bear with
- 16:27Speaker 1: just quite yet. It's and you know, and we do
- 16:30Speaker 1: have basically like to quote weekly shows with Logal and
- 16:35Speaker 1: with Mari Guenea, here's what we've come to realize, you guys. Yes,
- 16:39Speaker 1: we've done the my new chap. We've done the scheduling,
- 16:43Speaker 1: the writing, the producing, even the editing, the admin like
- 16:48Speaker 1: we've done the technical, we've done the financial, we've done
- 16:51Speaker 1: the artistic. But really at our core, we're big picture,
- 16:54Speaker 1: big idea girls. Like we need somebody to tell us
- 16:58Speaker 1: what to do and give us keep us on track,
- 17:02Speaker 1: you know what I mean. We can force ourselves to
- 17:05Speaker 1: do it, but it's very hard and we don't like it. Yeah,
- 17:09Speaker 1: and you know, like like Mola said, we're like the
- 17:12Speaker 1: big picture creative people and so but as indie artists,
- 17:16Speaker 1: you know, and if you run your own business, you know,
- 17:18Speaker 1: like you're wearing all the hats, as they say, and
- 17:21Speaker 1: so you want to focus on the production of the episode,
- 17:25Speaker 1: but then you also have to do the scheduling of yourself,
- 17:28Speaker 1: and for us it's two people, right, and so it's
- 17:30Speaker 1: two schedules to manage. And life also happens, you know,
- 17:35Speaker 1: like Mom and I were going to record the day
- 17:37Speaker 1: for on four twenty, but then it's like she got
- 17:39Speaker 1: an onlyb Stone interview, So what took precedent? Obviously the
- 17:42Speaker 1: fucking eb Stone interview, as it should, and so things
- 17:45Speaker 1: come up and then it's like, okay, well now we
- 17:47Speaker 1: have to find another day. And you know, my goal
- 17:51Speaker 1: is for us to do it weekly, but sometimes, you know,
- 17:55Speaker 1: life happens and we just roll with it. But we
- 17:58Speaker 1: will be weekly. We're practically weekly. We will be weekly.
- 18:02Speaker 1: We are weekly. We are we We describe it as
- 18:05Speaker 1: a weekly show because sometimes, you know, we take a
- 18:08Speaker 1: little break. But with that being said, we have some
- 18:13Speaker 1: exciting news that we can't exactly share yet. But we
- 18:16Speaker 1: have news that we cannot share with you. But on
- 18:20Speaker 1: the talk of weekly, you know, we are potentially entering
- 18:25Speaker 1: a new phase, a new era, a new chapter. If
- 18:28Speaker 1: you will of look at the radio, we may be
- 18:32Speaker 1: just kind of elevating two new heights and we might
- 18:38Speaker 1: have some more support, you know, so we'll we'll give
- 18:41Speaker 1: you more details once the ink is dry, is what
- 18:44Speaker 1: we're saying. We're not trying to drink anything. The model
- 18:48Speaker 1: who is real And we know that there are people
- 18:51Speaker 1: who hate listen. We fucking know it. And if you're
- 18:53Speaker 1: out there, stop listening. Stop listening, stop listening. If your
- 18:58Speaker 1: hate listening, you stop listening. Get over it. You're so
- 19:01Speaker 1: much energy. We're gonna stay beautiful. We're gonna even more beautiful.
- 19:06Speaker 1: We're gonna get even more successful. We're going to make
- 19:09Speaker 1: even more podcasts. We're just gonna thrive in ways that
- 19:11Speaker 1: are gonna make They're going to give you an ulcer
- 19:14Speaker 1: like so just for your own goods, stop listening. Stop
- 19:17Speaker 1: beating yourself up with like you hate how amazing we are.
- 19:21Speaker 1: We're going to get more amazing. This really is the
- 19:25Speaker 1: being annoying episode. It really is. We told you guys
- 19:28Speaker 1: at the top what it was gonna be, and here
- 19:30Speaker 1: it is, keeping our promises. I'm dying. Um. Yes, on
- 19:36Speaker 1: the topic of beauty, I got botox for the first time. Wait,
- 19:42Speaker 1: so you got it? Oh I didn't, Yes, I got it.
- 19:45Speaker 1: I thought it was just the console it was, but
- 19:47Speaker 1: they were like we can do it right now? I did. Yeah, okay,
- 19:52Speaker 1: where well when how tell me everything? Watch me through it? Okay? So, um,
- 19:57Speaker 1: I have been making this face since I was a kid,
- 20:02Speaker 1: and the face is where I like scrunch my like eyebrows,
- 20:07Speaker 1: and it's my like serious face, my concentrating face, my
- 20:10Speaker 1: like I need to show tons of expression face. And
- 20:14Speaker 1: my father for many years has told me to stop
- 20:16Speaker 1: making this face. He's like, you're going to get a
- 20:18Speaker 1: really deep wrinkle there, like you need to stop making
- 20:21Speaker 1: that face. And you know we do it because we
- 20:23Speaker 1: do it. It's our face, like you don't even know
- 20:25Speaker 1: you're doing it. And so I noticed, you know, as
- 20:28Speaker 1: I'm in my late twenties, you know that this is
- 20:31Speaker 1: becoming a pronounced wrinkle, as my father predicted. And for me,
- 20:36Speaker 1: I just it was something I was just looking at
- 20:38Speaker 1: in the mirror when I would do my skincare, when
- 20:40Speaker 1: I would put on makeup. I was to me, it
- 20:42Speaker 1: was so obvious, you know, to others, probably not. And
- 20:45Speaker 1: so I decided to go and get a consult for
- 20:49Speaker 1: the botox. I'm like, it's preventative. I'm not thirty yet,
- 20:52Speaker 1: but it's there. Let me just see what's up, and
- 20:55Speaker 1: so I go and they tell me, yeah, it's not
- 20:58Speaker 1: it's there. It's not terrible, but we take care of it.
- 21:00Speaker 1: If you want, um, you need, then I'm going to
- 21:04Speaker 1: make this up twenty units less units, I don't remember,
- 21:08Speaker 1: but it wasn't a whole lot of units. And they
- 21:11Speaker 1: did it in thirty seconds practically. Yeah, and it's like
- 21:15Speaker 1: a registered nurse that did it. Like they prep you.
- 21:18Speaker 1: They do, like go over your medical history to see
- 21:20Speaker 1: if like you're a candidate. So it wasn't just like
- 21:23Speaker 1: you know, a random little place that I went to. UM,
- 21:26Speaker 1: so it was legit. I'm happy with it. You're not
- 21:29Speaker 1: supposed to see the results for like up to two weeks,
- 21:31Speaker 1: but like I can already see that when I do
- 21:34Speaker 1: make the face, it's like the wrinkle is not really there.
- 21:37Speaker 1: So oh wow, she's a botox girl. Now I'm dying.
- 21:44Speaker 1: It's a slippery slope girl. It really is right. We
- 21:47Speaker 1: we don't want to we don't want to do too
- 21:49Speaker 1: much too soon. Yeah, you know, And and I'm all
- 21:54Speaker 1: for like the aging gracefully and beautifully and blah blah blah,
- 21:57Speaker 1: like yes, one thousand percent, it's true. That bullshit. It's
- 22:01Speaker 1: true It is true. I believe in aging gracefully. So
- 22:06Speaker 1: do I. However, the way my schedule is set up,
- 22:11Speaker 1: the stress levels that I have, I need a little
- 22:15Speaker 1: extra help right now, especially as I like add something
- 22:19Speaker 1: onto my plate being grad school facts. That's real, it's
- 22:25Speaker 1: I'd love to age gracefully, but my schedule won't allow
- 22:28Speaker 1: for it without some bo dog that's real, that's you
- 22:32Speaker 1: know what that sounds. That sounds that's l a baby
- 22:35Speaker 1: sounds legs. Sounds real to me. And I heard, well,
- 22:38Speaker 1: I didn't hear. I read marcella Aos tweet. Marcella was
- 22:43Speaker 1: like that she was shook when she found out how
- 22:45Speaker 1: many people get their cosmetic surgeries done because it's a
- 22:48Speaker 1: tax right off, because we do entertainment on camera, charged
- 22:52Speaker 1: to look at that our productions LLC honey will write
- 22:54Speaker 1: it off. Girl. As soon as I was in the chair,
- 22:57Speaker 1: I was looking up of botox is attacks right off,
- 23:00Speaker 1: my kid, you not you know what? I didn't finish
- 23:04Speaker 1: because then then the injection started. But I'll have to
- 23:07Speaker 1: call the accountant and it's truined. I will ask our accountant, um,
- 23:12Speaker 1: but why not these uking terrible billionaires right off? So
- 23:17Speaker 1: much I'm sure that I can off my hunter botox, like,
- 23:20Speaker 1: it will be fine. I will get laser I will
- 23:25Speaker 1: get laser hair, I will get my entire everything below
- 23:28Speaker 1: my eyebrows. I will get lasered off, and I will
- 23:31Speaker 1: write it off. It's fine. I hope this isn't the
- 23:35Speaker 1: episode that cancels us. This right here, you guys, I
- 23:41Speaker 1: want you to know, not only are we annoying, we're
- 23:43Speaker 1: also very vain. I don't know if you guys could tell,
- 23:46Speaker 1: I don't know if it was like palpable. We don't
- 23:48Speaker 1: talk about this, we don't admit it, we don't own
- 23:50Speaker 1: up to it. We love being beautiful, very vain. Listen,
- 23:58Speaker 1: if y'all knew our mother's good, Lord, help me, my god,
- 24:02Speaker 1: my mom. My mom is not like a foxy guy
- 24:04Speaker 1: in that way where she's like just super judgmental, but
- 24:07Speaker 1: she's very about the beauty. And so I was raised
- 24:09Speaker 1: that way. And like, even if it's too like gold
- 24:12Speaker 1: running errand and I'm not wearing lipstick, can you put
- 24:15Speaker 1: some lipstick on? Like she'll call me out and be
- 24:16Speaker 1: like like do something. You know, that's that's the thing.
- 24:22Speaker 1: And so when you're raised with that, like, yeah, we
- 24:24Speaker 1: can get to a point where we deconstruct the beauty
- 24:26Speaker 1: standards and we're aware of them and all of that
- 24:29Speaker 1: very important stuff that all the feminists are doing. Um,
- 24:33Speaker 1: but there's also, as you know, feminist practice and we're
- 24:37Speaker 1: about it. Yes again, if you tuned into the bimbo episode,
- 24:42Speaker 1: I think that said a lot. We embrace bimbo hood.
- 24:48Speaker 1: There's a reason why we we morphed into these like
- 24:51Speaker 1: content creators that we there's a reason why we were here,
- 24:55Speaker 1: you know what. We love this ship. This is our ship,
- 24:58Speaker 1: Like we're vain. It's okay, yeah, just we We still
- 25:04Speaker 1: need to do the mom episode because I think that
- 25:06Speaker 1: will explain a whole lot we do. We do. And
- 25:09Speaker 1: if my mom hears that you got botox, she's going
- 25:11Speaker 1: to be like, take me to your nurse, take me
- 25:15Speaker 1: to your doctor. I will so that she doesn't do
- 25:17Speaker 1: it herself. Girl, Okay, let me tell everybody. Let me
- 25:20Speaker 1: tell everyone what my mom did. So and my mom
- 25:24Speaker 1: for like a couple of years now, has been saying like, oh,
- 25:27Speaker 1: she wants to get the tattooed on eyeliner and lip liner,
- 25:33Speaker 1: and like, look, we have graduated beyond that in the
- 25:36Speaker 1: beauty space, like we're not tattooing on our eyeliner or
- 25:39Speaker 1: our brows or lip liner anymore. There are other procedures,
- 25:43Speaker 1: there are other options that are much more chic, much
- 25:46Speaker 1: more now, much more subtle. But she was just very
- 25:49Speaker 1: dead set on the tattooed on lipliner. And parents at
- 25:56Speaker 1: this age it's very hard to control them, very hard
- 25:59Speaker 1: to convince them of any thing at this age there,
- 26:01Speaker 1: while they do whatever they want, they're like not thinking,
- 26:05Speaker 1: like it's it's nuts, you know. So I told her, like,
- 26:09Speaker 1: I will take you. I sent her links to like
- 26:11Speaker 1: Prime Boudoir. I sent her to like your place in Whittier,
- 26:15Speaker 1: and like, I'm like, there are options. They're Leftina owned,
- 26:19Speaker 1: like you know, they're licensed. Here's the pictures and here's
- 26:22Speaker 1: the pricing. And so I'm like trying to prevent her
- 26:26Speaker 1: from like going to some lady who comes from Tijuana
- 26:29Speaker 1: every third month and like tattoos bitches in a kitchen,
- 26:32Speaker 1: just literally some lady. She was telling me about that
- 26:35Speaker 1: she was gonna go. See I'm like, literally, no, you
- 26:37Speaker 1: cannot go to some lady in a kitchen for your face.
- 26:42Speaker 1: I come home one day and my mom was like,
- 26:44Speaker 1: look what I did. And I'm like, what did you do?
- 26:46Speaker 1: She ordered a self tattooing cosmetic kit from China off
- 26:52Speaker 1: of sucking Amazon dude, Like, and she tried to do
- 26:57Speaker 1: her own lips. No, I didn't look horrible. She kind
- 27:01Speaker 1: of did an okay job. I was kind of screaming,
- 27:03Speaker 1: but I was like, mom, please stop. You don't know
- 27:05Speaker 1: what's in those products. There could be lead, there could
- 27:07Speaker 1: be asbestus. You could funk up your face. But yeah,
- 27:12Speaker 1: so anyways, this is why we are the way that
- 27:14Speaker 1: we are. That's why, guys, that's why the story always
- 27:19Speaker 1: gets me. I've heard it, like, I've definitely heard it
- 27:21Speaker 1: like at least five times now, and it's still always
- 27:24Speaker 1: gets me. Like I'm hearing it for the first time.
- 27:25Speaker 1: It's just such like, oh my god, your mom love.
- 27:30Speaker 1: This is so your mom, so my mom, so my mom.
- 27:33Speaker 1: But then it's like, okay, but also this tracks because
- 27:35Speaker 1: this is also why I am the way that I am.
- 27:36Speaker 1: Like obviously it honestly tracks. But yeah, but the botox
- 27:41Speaker 1: looks good. Girl through the zoom you look great, thank you,
- 27:45Speaker 1: thank you. Um yes, the way the schedule is set
- 27:50Speaker 1: up the botox you know, I needed the extra support,
- 27:54Speaker 1: so it is what it is what else can we
- 27:57Speaker 1: be annoying about now? Or was that everything on our list?
- 28:00Speaker 1: I think that's like everything on our list, Like I
- 28:02Speaker 1: think we've covered everything that there's some other stuff, but
- 28:06Speaker 1: I think like this is a good this is a
- 28:08Speaker 1: good place to stop. This is a good pause. We
- 28:12Speaker 1: were annoying enough, Yeah, we definitely were. If you listened
- 28:20Speaker 1: up until this point, if you listen to the entire episode,
- 28:24Speaker 1: let us know what you think. How did you like
- 28:28Speaker 1: this format? More informal, more of the chat cast. We're
- 28:33Speaker 1: not changing our format at all, but we can definitely
- 28:35Speaker 1: keep these episodes in the mix for something like something fun,
- 28:38Speaker 1: something cute, something very annoying exactly. Thank you for tuning in.
- 28:43Speaker 1: This has been a joy and a delight. Thank you
- 28:46Speaker 1: for Thank you for listening. Until next time. Thank you
- 28:49Speaker 1: for listening. Please come back next week, Please come back.
- 28:53Speaker 1: We really need you guys to keep listening. We love y'all.
- 28:57Speaker 1: Thank you for tuning in. We'll catch you next time.
- 28:59Speaker 1: This see thus
