Quentin McCoy Joins Illini as Late Addition | Illinois Fighting Illini Basketball News
Illinois just added a late-bloomer guard, Quentin McCoy, a Chicago native from Lindblom High with minimal college exposure—just nine games at Arizona State where he took only one shot. Standing at 6’3” and weighing 175 lbs, McCoy is being ushered in as an “Everyday Guy” to fill a crowded guard rotation alongside stars like Stojakovic and Coleman. Wearing No. 5—the jersey once worn by AJ Redd—he’s got a blank slate to make his mark. Can this fresh start turn into impact for the Illini this season?
