- 1:27Speaker 1: $ 100 for roofing.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Get in.
- 1:30Speaker 1: $ 125 for septic. Have you ever killed anyone before? As
- 1:35Speaker 1: you know, illegal Americans are being forced out of our
- 1:38Speaker 1: country at an alarming rate. For the good of both
- 1:40Speaker 1: our people, the senator must die. He was given an
- 1:45Speaker 1: offer he couldn't refuse. Make no mistake, we are at war.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Every time an illegal dances.
- 1:50Speaker 5: Across our border, it is an act of aggression against
- 1:54Speaker 5: this sovereign state, an overt act of terrorism.
- 1:57Speaker 4: Set up, double-cross, and left foot dead.
- 2:01Speaker 3: You think what you do is right?
- 2:03Speaker 7: Taking your brothers and sisters in.
- 2:05Speaker 3: Deporting them back to their own personal hells.
- 2:07Speaker 8: It's a lot.
- 2:09Speaker 7: There are many laws.
- 2:11Speaker 8: You want me to help you kill all these men? Yes, bro.
- 2:15Speaker 1: I'll see what I can do. He knows the score.
- 2:42Speaker 1: He gets the women.
- 2:44Speaker 9: There's nothing I'd like more than to see that Mexican
- 2:47Speaker 9: dance the bolero at the end.
- 2:48Speaker 8: Of a rope.
- 2:52Speaker 2: And he kills the bad guys.
- 3:07Speaker 10: Well, this cucaracha's got AK-47s and he's laying waste to
- 3:09Speaker 10: everything that gets in his fucking pan.
- 3:13Speaker 1: But they soon realized.
- 3:14Speaker 7: They just fucked with the wrong Mexican.
- 3:20Speaker 8: Machete.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Machete.
- 3:49Speaker 4: Welcome to Movie Meltdown's Out of the Town. Once again,
- 3:52Speaker 4: I am Brian.
- 3:53Speaker 2: This is Roger.
- 3:54Speaker 9: I am Misty.
- 3:55Speaker 3: And I am Jay.
- 3:57Speaker 10: All right.
- 3:57Speaker 9: I know you all have missed me. We weren't here
- 4:00Speaker 9: last week.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Yeah, right.
- 4:02Speaker 9: All right, what did we go see today?
- 4:05Speaker 4: This week's Out of the Town feature is, according to Jessica.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Alba, machete.
- 4:10Speaker 11: Machete.
- 4:11Speaker 9: God, fuck Jessica Alba.
- 4:12Speaker 4: She kept pronouncing it, and I've seen her in so
- 4:14Speaker 4: many things on TV the last week, and every time
- 4:16Speaker 4: it's machete. I'm like, really? Alba, how.
- 4:20Speaker 3: She's been practicing.
- 4:21Speaker 4: How Hispanic are you, Alba? The year obviously.
- 4:24Speaker 9: I'm not as Hispanic as I am.
- 4:26Speaker 4: That's what I'm saying. The year obviously is 2010, since
- 4:30Speaker 4: we just left the theater. The director, and I can't
- 4:33Speaker 4: find any good pronunciation on the other guy. If somebody
- 4:36Speaker 4: can help me with the.
- 4:38Speaker 4: It's M-A-N-I-Q-U-I-S.
- 4:43Speaker 8: Is it?
- 4:43Speaker 4: Let's call him Bub. Well, it's Ethan, so we'll call
- 4:47Speaker 4: him Ethan.
- 4:48Speaker 12: Ethan.
- 4:49Speaker 4: Ethan and Mr. Robert Rodriguez, as we would expect in
- 4:53Speaker 4: this situation. Yes. Let's pull up the IMDB plot here,
- 4:57Speaker 4: because they're always so factual.
- 5:00Speaker 13: Really?
- 5:00Speaker 9: There's a plot to this?
- 5:01Speaker 4: Oh, there was a plot.
- 5:02Speaker 9: There was many a plot.
- 5:04Speaker 4: It says, after being betrayed by the organization who hired him,
- 5:08Speaker 4: an ex-pederale launches a brutal rampage of revenge against his
- 5:12Speaker 4: former boss. I guess.
- 5:15Speaker 2: I guess.
- 5:15Speaker 4: Kind of.
- 5:17Speaker 9: No, not really.
- 5:18Speaker 4: In a very loose interpretation, but all right.
- 5:22Speaker 2: More drug dealer.
- 5:24Speaker 4: Oh, so yeah, we'll throw out the giant spoiler alert here.
- 5:27Speaker 4: Since it's a brand new movie, hopefully you've already seen
- 5:30Speaker 4: it because.
- 5:30Speaker 2: You know, it's Machete.
- 5:32Speaker 4: But if nothing else, yeah, because we're going to just,
- 5:35Speaker 4: you know, bloody the hell out of it with Machete.
- 5:38Speaker 4: All right, where would you like to begin?
- 5:41Speaker 9: Where not to begin?
- 5:42Speaker 11: Yeah, it's pretty much awesome from the get-go.
- 5:44Speaker 9: Except for Jessica Alba.
- 5:46Speaker 13: I want to take a minute to talk about how
- 5:48Speaker 13: absolutely horrible and not able to act her way out
- 5:50Speaker 13: of a fucking paper bag.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Jessica Alba is.
- 5:53Speaker 9: There's no redeemable qualities. Yeah, she looks good, but.
- 5:56Speaker 4: That is her redeemable qualities. She's still kind of cute.
- 5:58Speaker 9: Then go be a model. Don't try to fucking be
- 6:00Speaker 9: in movies.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Jesus Christ.
- 6:03Speaker 4: That's pretty much it.
- 6:04Speaker 3: You do get one kind of, like, butt, side boobs.
- 6:07Speaker 11: Side, crested boob in the shower.
- 6:09Speaker 9: Again, but it doesn't involve her talking.
- 6:11Speaker 4: Which is her best, you know, it's her strongest suit, really.
- 6:13Speaker 11: I'm telling you, she should.
- 6:14Speaker 9: Have just stuck to being a model, because... It's acting. Yeah,
- 6:18Speaker 9: she's epic failing at it.
- 6:20Speaker 3: In this movie, she's an ICE agent.
- 6:22Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 6:22Speaker 3: And for those who don't know what that stands for,
- 6:25Speaker 3: look it up because I don't either.
- 6:27Speaker 4: You don't live near the border.
- 6:28Speaker 11: Something about immigration.
- 6:30Speaker 9: Immigration control enforcement.
- 6:31Speaker 3: There you go. Oh, you're smart.
- 6:33Speaker 12: I know.
- 6:33Speaker 9: I just totally made that shit up.
- 6:35Speaker 11: That was good, though.
- 6:37Speaker 3: Really good.
- 6:37Speaker 4: Way to cover.
- 6:38Speaker 13: The main thing is to make it sound like you
- 6:40Speaker 13: know what the fuck you're talking about. If you say
- 6:41Speaker 13: it with confidence, people are going to believe whatever shit
- 6:43Speaker 13: you tell them.
- 6:45Speaker 11: Like, yeah, yeah.
- 6:46Speaker 4: Walk with authority and you can go anywhere.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 6:48Speaker 11: From the get-go, like, I was... I didn't... I mean,
- 6:50Speaker 11: I knew Danny Trejo was in this. I knew Jessica
- 6:53Speaker 11: Alba was in it. And I forgot that Michelle Rodriguez
- 6:56Speaker 11: was in it. But I had no idea that Don
- 6:58Speaker 11: Johnson was in it. Of course, yeah, Cheech Marin because
- 7:01Speaker 11: from the trailers. And.
- 7:04Speaker 9: Steven Seagal.
- 7:04Speaker 11: Steven Seagal, yeah. I was like, oh shit, Seagal's in this?
- 7:07Speaker 11: You didn't know that?
- 7:09Speaker 8: No.
- 7:09Speaker 9: You were way behind.
- 7:10Speaker 11: This is a sweet, sweet, sweet surprise.
- 7:13Speaker 4: That's the thing. I mean, it is a massive cash.
- 7:16Speaker 4: And Lindsay Lohan. And Lindsay Lohan and her tits.
- 7:20Speaker 9: Again, her best asset because, again, can't act for shit.
- 7:24Speaker 1: No, no.
- 7:25Speaker 4: But at this point, I mean.
- 7:25Speaker 9: She didn't take her freckles and just go on somewhere.
- 7:28Speaker 4: And she will. To jail.
- 7:30Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 7:31Speaker 4: At this point, though, she... Well, especially that first scene
- 7:35Speaker 4: where we run into her, I'm like, I think this
- 7:37Speaker 4: is just home video footage. Right. I mean, she's just
- 7:39Speaker 4: cracked out on the floor of somebody's house and they
- 7:41Speaker 4: have to bust in and get her.
- 7:42Speaker 13: I heard that Robert Rodriguez specifically did not want her
- 7:45Speaker 13: at any of the premieres. He was calling her agent
- 7:47Speaker 13: to track her down to make sure that she did
- 7:49Speaker 13: not show up at the premiere.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Really?
- 7:51Speaker 7: Nice.
- 7:51Speaker 9: That's what I read.
- 7:51Speaker 11: She didn't want her to be wasted and just like.
- 7:53Speaker 9: On the internet.
- 7:54Speaker 11: Flash or flash. God, I'm famous again. I'm famous.
- 8:01Speaker 3: Where's my paycheck?
- 8:02Speaker 11: I need to go get some medicine.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Where's my crack?
- 8:05Speaker 3: Medicine.
- 8:07Speaker 11: So it's got tons of people in it. And of course,
- 8:10Speaker 11: the opening sequence of like all the. The imagery from
- 8:13Speaker 11: the movie, like, in that kind of, like, comic book-y,
- 8:15Speaker 11: I guess, grindhouse-looking.
- 8:17Speaker 8: 70s, grindhouse.
- 8:17Speaker 4: Starsky and Hutch-looking opening theme.
- 8:20Speaker 11: Pretty awesome.
- 8:20Speaker 1: It is awesome.
- 8:21Speaker 11: From the get-go, you know that you're like, oh, yeah,
- 8:23Speaker 11: this is just going to be rowdy.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:25Speaker 4: Well, even before that, I mean, we had him run
- 8:27Speaker 4: a car through a building, take out an entire group
- 8:30Speaker 4: of people.
- 8:30Speaker 11: With his machete.
- 8:31Speaker 4: Haul a naked chick around, have her do a maneuver
- 8:35Speaker 4: that involved a cell phone.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Yes.
- 8:38Speaker 11: And sound effects.
- 8:39Speaker 4: And, yeah, then something. So yeah, all of that's before
- 8:46Speaker 4: you get to the credits. That's how awesome this is.
- 8:49Speaker 3: What, she got a call?
- 8:51Speaker 9: Is it on vibrate?
- 8:52Speaker 1: Yeah, hopefully.
- 8:53Speaker 4: Hopefully she put it on vibrate.
- 8:55Speaker 9: Speakerphone.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Oh my God.
- 8:58Speaker 9: It's not really muffled. I can't understand it.
- 9:00Speaker 3: Oh my God.
- 9:01Speaker 11: She's like yelling at her crotch. Hold on a second.
- 9:04Speaker 12: Hold on.
- 9:05Speaker 4: Wait, I got another call. And she punches herself in
- 9:07Speaker 4: the pelvis.
- 9:09Speaker 11: Massage my uterus.
- 9:12Speaker 4: Oh, God. Speaking of uterus, so he also works in
- 9:16Speaker 4: the regular babysitting twins, which in those outfits.
- 9:20Speaker 9: They're not attractive.
- 9:21Speaker 4: Well, they seem nice enough, but, yeah, they're kind of special.
- 9:25Speaker 13: I don't like their noses. They're twins, so they have
- 9:27Speaker 13: the same nose, and I don't like their nose.
- 9:29Speaker 4: Well, here's what... The thing is, like, he continually uses them,
- 9:33Speaker 4: and he realizes, oh, they're a hot chick draw, so
- 9:36Speaker 4: he dresses them scantily. So I'm just like, at what
- 9:38Speaker 4: point do we get creeped out? when you can basically
- 9:41Speaker 4: see their ass in this outfit, and that's your cousin.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:46Speaker 4: Does it seem weird that, like, the director's sitting there
- 9:48Speaker 4: behind him going, all right, show a little more, and
- 9:50Speaker 4: he's related to them? I don't know.
- 9:53Speaker 3: It's Hollywood.
- 9:54Speaker 4: I suppose.
- 9:55Speaker 11: Everybody fucks everybody in Hollywood.
- 9:58Speaker 4: He's very un-Hollywood though. It's kind of funny that he's
- 10:02Speaker 4: He has no problem whoring out his family.
- 10:04Speaker 11: I thought it was awesome. At the end of the movie,
- 10:06Speaker 11: I'm not going to spoil that just yet, but when
- 10:08Speaker 11: they're in slow motion shooting Mac-10s, it makes me think
- 10:13Speaker 11: of that redneck video you can get women with guns,
- 10:16Speaker 11: where it's women in bathing.
- 10:18Speaker 3: Suits shooting machine guns.
- 10:20Speaker 11: And there is something about that that is awesome. It
- 10:22Speaker 11: really is awesome. Especially when Michelle Rodriguez is crying. fully
- 10:26Speaker 11: auto unloading on people she's just so bird looking except
- 10:29Speaker 11: for her face.
- 10:30Speaker 2: No her face I like the eye patch.
- 10:32Speaker 13: Because it covered part of her face oh my god
- 10:35Speaker 13: she's got a gorgeous body and she's got really nice
- 10:37Speaker 13: hair but her.
- 10:38Speaker 11: Face she's got great teeth she's got great eyes she.
- 10:41Speaker 9: Would all the features together just don't work well.
- 10:43Speaker 4: She looks better in this though because usually i don't
- 10:45Speaker 4: i don't even get all that on board with her
- 10:47Speaker 4: she seems all right and i've actually seen footage of
- 10:50Speaker 4: her like out promoting it and she seems kind of
- 10:52Speaker 4: cool so she seems nice enough but.
- 10:54Speaker 13: She's nice she seems nice i said she's got a
- 10:56Speaker 13: great body but yeah a body like hers holy shit.
- 10:59Speaker 4: Yeah once she came out especially towards the end when
- 11:01Speaker 4: she's hardly wearing anything it's just like.
- 11:02Speaker 14: The leather bikini top jesus christ yeah she is is
- 11:07Speaker 14: uh needs business and once again is not just like
- 11:10Speaker 14: girly naked she's like fucking cut like she could kick
- 11:13Speaker 14: any man in the room's ass so it's yeah and she's.
- 11:16Speaker 9: So tiny too because we saw her in.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Chicago yeah she's short yeah she's teeny she's.
- 11:20Speaker 4: Not tall while we're on that note is it just
- 11:23Speaker 4: me or did it ever seem like danny was short
- 11:25Speaker 4: in this movie yeah they did a good trick weird
- 11:28Speaker 4: because in photography he yeah we stood next to him
- 11:32Speaker 4: i'm taller than he is for god's sakes and i
- 11:34Speaker 4: am no minute bull so What the hell? What kind
- 11:37Speaker 4: of milk crate was he standing on in every shot
- 11:40Speaker 4: they had him in?
- 11:41Speaker 9: Special shoes. Elevator shoes.
- 11:43Speaker 4: Still, they have to be big elevator shoes.
- 11:45Speaker 3: The funny thing was when we were getting our pictures
- 11:47Speaker 3: taken with him, he tried to pull all of us
- 11:49Speaker 3: down to the same height. And I was like pushing up.
- 11:52Speaker 7: No, no.
- 11:53Speaker 2: Get in there. who may be part of.
- 11:56Speaker 3: His smile on his face was the fact that he
- 11:58Speaker 3: was pulling me down and I was like oh no you're.
- 12:02Speaker 11: Not there's this internal struggle you don't get in the
- 12:04Speaker 11: picture so much.
- 12:05Speaker 13: It's awesome it's like the picture of me with Henry
- 12:07Speaker 13: Rollins I'm.
- 12:10Speaker 9: Like struggling he's like pulling me down oh no.
- 12:14Speaker 13: Oh, geez.
- 12:16Speaker 4: But yeah, I just noticed that midway in, I was
- 12:17Speaker 4: just like, no, I haven't noticed at all that he's
- 12:20Speaker 4: massively shorter than any of these people. And I know
- 12:22Speaker 4: that he is.
- 12:23Speaker 11: The only time that I could tell kind of was
- 12:25Speaker 11: when he was on top of the limo. About to
- 12:28Speaker 11: chop through the sunroof. And I was like, you kind
- 12:30Speaker 11: of get the scale of him.
- 12:31Speaker 2: Man, he's tiny.
- 12:33Speaker 3: But even next to Seagal, you don't really see it.
- 12:35Speaker 3: Because Seagal's actually pretty tall.
- 12:36Speaker 11: Yeah, he's a tall guy.
- 12:37Speaker 15: So, yeah.
- 12:39Speaker 11: Yeah, like in their fight or whatever.
- 12:41Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 12:42Speaker 9: Were they fighting on a hill or something?
- 12:44Speaker 4: Or even like Jessica Alba. She's probably pretty tall for
- 12:46Speaker 4: a chick. I mean, she's got to be taller than
- 12:48Speaker 4: him in the real world. I think she's pretty short.
- 12:50Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 12:51Speaker 4: Is she?
- 12:51Speaker 9: I've heard she's kind of tiny.
- 12:52Speaker 11: I don't know.
- 12:53Speaker 9: Maybe I'm making shit up.
- 12:54Speaker 2: The trail's only just like maybe an inch shorter than me. Yeah.
- 12:57Speaker 11: Is he like 5'1, 2, 3?
- 12:58Speaker 3: No.
- 13:00Speaker 9: He's more than an inch shorter than you.
- 13:01Speaker 3: 5'6?
- 13:02Speaker 2: You think he's like 5'6?
- 13:04Speaker 3: Oh, dude. So I'm 5'8, so he's got to be
- 13:05Speaker 3: like 5'6.
- 13:06Speaker 2: 5'6, yeah.
- 13:07Speaker 4: Probably.
- 13:08Speaker 3: But he's still, I mean, he's still wide.
- 13:09Speaker 9: We can look it up on the list.
- 13:10Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, he's a badass.
- 13:12Speaker 2: He's built like a brick shithouse.
- 13:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, it's the same thing like Savini. Savini's like,
- 13:16Speaker 3: he's pretty wide for his size, but he's not like
- 13:18Speaker 3: super tall. But in the movies, he looks fucking tall
- 13:21Speaker 3: as shit.
- 13:21Speaker 7: He's not.
- 13:22Speaker 3: He's not. Which I'm still kind of angry there was
- 13:24Speaker 3: no fight between Savini.
- 13:25Speaker 2: Yeah, what happened to Savini?
- 13:26Speaker 4: He just disappeared. Now that I'm thinking about it, I
- 13:28Speaker 4: think that got cut. Because I think in one of
- 13:30Speaker 4: the trailers, there's a big shot of Savini standing there
- 13:32Speaker 4: with the gun, and then the machete just comes into
- 13:34Speaker 4: frame by his face. So I'm assuming that's when Danny
- 13:38Speaker 4: probably took out Savini, but... Yeah, I didn't really think
- 13:41Speaker 4: about it until you said that. Where was that?
- 13:44Speaker 3: He's like, no, he's coming for you.
- 13:46Speaker 2: He's not coming for me or us. He's coming for you.
- 13:49Speaker 15: Look at you, dude.
- 13:49Speaker 3: I know this guy.
- 13:51Speaker 4: I guess that, yeah, they should have just showed him
- 13:53Speaker 4: running away at that point because, yeah, you don't really
- 13:55Speaker 4: see what happens.
- 13:56Speaker 9: What a scam.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Oh, well.
- 13:58Speaker 3: Whatever.
- 14:00Speaker 9: It took off like he owed that guy money or something.
- 14:03Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 14:03Speaker 9: Savini, you owe people money.
- 14:05Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. That's you, Savini. I'm coming for you.
- 14:08Speaker 1: I mean....
- 14:11Speaker 11: Basically, the machete delivers everything that you would expect it to,
- 14:14Speaker 11: especially if you've seen the trailers. That's what the whole
- 14:16Speaker 11: movie's like. It's over the top.
- 14:17Speaker 9: Just don't go into it expecting a classic masterpiece.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly.
- 14:20Speaker 4: There's the Caspians and it's... It's Grindhouse.
- 14:23Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 14:24Speaker 4: I mean, Rodriguez knows that from when he made the
- 14:27Speaker 4: cheap fake trailer until now.
- 14:29Speaker 2: If you want to.
- 14:30Speaker 3: See boobs, big explosions, lowriders, tons of blood, people getting
- 14:35Speaker 3: their limbs hacked off.
- 14:36Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 14:37Speaker 3: All types of cool shit like that, then, yeah, this
- 14:39Speaker 3: is definitely, it delivers.
- 14:41Speaker 11: The only thing that I don't like, and I notice
- 14:44Speaker 11: a lot, especially having anybody who's watched, like, sci-fi movies,
- 14:49Speaker 11: the use of, like, digital blood effects and stuff, I
- 14:54Speaker 11: can't stand.
- 14:55Speaker 4: It always looks bad.
- 14:56Speaker 11: Because it looks terrible.
- 14:57Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 14:57Speaker 11: And I want practical blood effects, and I think that
- 15:00Speaker 11: there are a lot of times in this movie where
- 15:02Speaker 11: I was just like, oh, God, come on.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Which ones?
- 15:05Speaker 4: Like, I didn't notice as many as a lot of
- 15:07Speaker 4: other movies, really, because there's still a good amount of
- 15:09Speaker 4: practical ones. Because the big difference, and I just heard
- 15:12Speaker 4: somebody else complain about this, is even if it makes
- 15:14Speaker 4: it look good, it's not really there. So it's never
- 15:17Speaker 4: on anything. So, I mean, that much blood flying around
- 15:20Speaker 4: should be on everything.
- 15:22Speaker 11: All the shooting and stuff, I'm pretty sure is practical.
- 15:24Speaker 11: But like, you know, when he's. chopping people.
- 15:26Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:27Speaker 11: You know, and all that is like, all that is digital.
- 15:31Speaker 11: And at the end, when he wounds, I'm not going
- 15:34Speaker 11: to say how, he wounds Seagal or whatever, and he
- 15:37Speaker 11: kind of backed up, the slit in his back as
- 15:40Speaker 11: his shirt moved, it was flat against his shirt. Like,
- 15:42Speaker 11: his shirt was moving and it would just look like
- 15:44Speaker 11: it was floating. And I'm like, oh, God.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 15:46Speaker 11: And it didn't really take me out of anything, but
- 15:48Speaker 11: I noticed it enough for me to be like, oh,
- 15:49Speaker 11: come on. Just like, I want it all to be
- 15:51Speaker 11: practical blood. I want it, yeah, spraying on people and everywhere.
- 15:54Speaker 2: You want the Japanese effect.
- 15:56Speaker 11: Yeah, well, especially when you're dealing with bladed weapons. Like,
- 15:58Speaker 11: there's blood goes every freaking place.
- 16:00Speaker 4: In machete, you know what I mean? The movie itself
- 16:03Speaker 4: is kind of a joke. So, I mean, you might
- 16:04Speaker 4: as well just go overboard with the blood.
- 16:06Speaker 3: But the Japanese do such a good job on, like,
- 16:09Speaker 3: samurai movies where guys get cut and arteries just straight everywhere.
- 16:13Speaker 11: You kind of miss that actual definitely definitely that arterial mist.
- 16:18Speaker 4: The three dimensions this i have to say is pretty
- 16:20Speaker 4: you know as far as the the uh shooting wounds
- 16:23Speaker 4: there's a lot of bloody gore that comes out of
- 16:26Speaker 4: the back of those so they they still kind of
- 16:28Speaker 4: deliver but.
- 16:29Speaker 11: They definitely do they definitely do Just a sad note.
- 16:32Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 16:33Speaker 11: I notice, and I know that a lot of people
- 16:35Speaker 11: probably do notice, and it kind of gets my goat
- 16:37Speaker 11: a little bit. Not enough that I'm going to lessen
- 16:40Speaker 11: any of the points I give this movie because it's
- 16:41Speaker 11: fucking awesome in every way.
- 16:44Speaker 9: Oh, man.
- 16:48Speaker 3: Let's see.
- 16:49Speaker 4: But, yeah, between the last couple of weeks, it's almost
- 16:53Speaker 4: like they've remembered how to make... fun ridiculous over the
- 16:57Speaker 4: top move between seeing piranha and seeing this it's like
- 17:01Speaker 4: finally the shit that people have been complaining about for
- 17:04Speaker 4: years of like why don't they make movies like this
- 17:06Speaker 4: anymore why don't we ever have any you know they
- 17:08Speaker 4: finally have come to terms with the fact that People
- 17:10Speaker 4: just kind of like big, dumb movies, and it's okay
- 17:13Speaker 4: to not really, you know, go into it with much
- 17:16Speaker 4: more than that, you know, that you're planning to do.
- 17:18Speaker 4: To just kind of follow through with, you know, the
- 17:20Speaker 4: fun that you set out to make in, you know,
- 17:23Speaker 4: a big, gory action fest. You know, yeah. It's supposed
- 17:28Speaker 4: to be over the top. So, yeah, I don't know.
- 17:30Speaker 2: I just have to.
- 17:30Speaker 4: it seems like we found like this new wave of
- 17:32Speaker 4: like people coming to terms with, you know, okay, you
- 17:35Speaker 4: guys were right. I mean, they spent 10, 15 years
- 17:37Speaker 4: complaining that where did all these movies go that, you know,
- 17:40Speaker 4: in the eighties we had all this kind of fun
- 17:42Speaker 4: stuff and it just totally died off. And, So I
- 17:45Speaker 4: don't know, maybe we're starting to hit a whole new
- 17:48Speaker 4: era of bad cheesy over-the-top movies. I hope so, yeah.
- 17:51Speaker 11: But I like how, you know, it's obviously, it doesn't
- 17:54Speaker 11: take itself, I mean, it's called Machete, about a guy, Machete's,
- 17:57Speaker 11: you know, he's a, not a U.S. Marshal, I don't
- 18:00Speaker 11: want to say that.
- 18:01Speaker 14: Federal.
- 18:01Speaker 11: Federal.
- 18:02Speaker 15: Federal.
- 18:03Speaker 11: Is machete apparently that's his code name or whatever machete
- 18:06Speaker 11: i don't know.
- 18:07Speaker 13: I saw on his record it said birth name was
- 18:09Speaker 13: machete too oh really.
- 18:10Speaker 11: That's what it said that's right on i didn't catch.
- 18:12Speaker 9: That unless i unless i was totally making shit.
- 18:15Speaker 11: Again pardon me it's machete but the fact that it's
- 18:18Speaker 11: like totally tongue-in-cheek over the top like it doesn't take
- 18:21Speaker 11: itself too seriously and there are movies out there that
- 18:24Speaker 11: are over the top and kind of you know don't
- 18:27Speaker 11: show that cheeky side or whatever. And it just doesn't work.
- 18:31Speaker 11: You're like, I think that's kind of why those movies
- 18:33Speaker 11: just tank. And I don't know, but Rodriguez does over
- 18:37Speaker 11: the top really well. And the fact that he chops
- 18:39Speaker 11: that dude's hand off and picks up the hand with
- 18:41Speaker 11: the gun in it and is shooting people, that's just
- 18:44Speaker 11: frigging awesome. Yes, that's what I like. That's what we want.
- 18:48Speaker 13: Has there been any numbers on this one so far
- 18:49Speaker 13: as to how it's done in the theaters? Has it
- 18:52Speaker 13: been doing well thus far?
- 18:53Speaker 11: What's the Terminator meter say?
- 18:59Speaker 2: I think it's probably going to do really well in
- 19:00Speaker 2: the movie because.
- 19:01Speaker 3: I think it's got what a lot of the I
- 19:04Speaker 3: want to say, like, a lot of the lowbrow, lower-class
- 19:07Speaker 3: citizens want it. It's got a lot of gore and
- 19:08Speaker 3: boobs in it.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Yeah, really.
- 19:10Speaker 4: You described us.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:12Speaker 4: Because we were thrilled with it.
- 19:13Speaker 3: We were like, yeah!
- 19:14Speaker 13: It's the last time I've laughed so much in a movie,
- 19:16Speaker 13: aside from, like, Zombieland or something.
- 19:19Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 19:20Speaker 13: Like, laugh out loud at people getting shot and horribly mutilated.
- 19:24Speaker 3: It's a very pro-Mexican film, so lots of Mexicans are
- 19:26Speaker 3: going to love it.
- 19:27Speaker 11: Yeah, very pro-illegal immigrant movie, too.
- 19:30Speaker 4: Kind of. That is one that, yeah, I don't know,
- 19:33Speaker 4: I wanted to address at some point. Because they make
- 19:35Speaker 4: a pretty big, I mean, if there's anything to take
- 19:37Speaker 4: from this that's not ridiculous and over to the top,
- 19:40Speaker 4: there is a very big underlying message of this sort
- 19:43Speaker 4: of situation that we're in. And it's it doesn't really
- 19:47Speaker 4: provide you with a end-all be-all answer to it it
- 19:50Speaker 4: just you know i think it does shed light because
- 19:52Speaker 4: i think there's a lot of people in the whole
- 19:54Speaker 4: rest of the country that have no idea how widespread
- 19:58Speaker 4: that is and how big of a problem it is
- 20:00Speaker 4: for certain people and how much trouble you know On
- 20:03Speaker 4: both sides, they have with it. So it does at
- 20:05Speaker 4: least shine a light on that, that a lot of people.
- 20:08Speaker 3: I believe it's mostly a problem for Texas and Arizona.
- 20:10Speaker 3: It's not so much a problem for.
- 20:11Speaker 9: Clarksville, Indiana.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Clarksville, Indiana, right?
- 20:14Speaker 4: They do have quite a little.
- 20:15Speaker 9: The Kmart in Clarksville, Indiana.
- 20:17Speaker 4: They have their own little Mexico there. That's cool.
- 20:20Speaker 11: Their own personal influx of employees that they need at
- 20:23Speaker 11: any given moment.
- 20:24Speaker 9: The flea market in Simpsonville. You can load up on
- 20:28Speaker 9: all your Mexican blankets and music.
- 20:30Speaker 2: They don't have good blankets down there, but that's what
- 20:32Speaker 2: kind of pisses me off.
- 20:33Speaker 9: You can load up on all your Mexican movies and CDs.
- 20:36Speaker 3: And soccer jerseys.
- 20:37Speaker 2: Soccer jerseys.
- 20:38Speaker 12: I want blankets.
- 20:39Speaker 9: I can't find any. That's the Ugandian moose.
- 20:41Speaker 15: No, no, no.
- 20:42Speaker 9: Ugandian.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Yeah, whatever.
- 20:44Speaker 3: I'm just mad I can't get a damn good Mexican
- 20:46Speaker 3: blanket up here. What the hell?
- 20:48Speaker 1: You know?
- 20:48Speaker 9: As many of them are coming over. Why don't you
- 20:50Speaker 9: have them grab one on the way out?
- 20:51Speaker 2: You know, I asked my buddy Dino. I was like,
- 20:53Speaker 2: give me a Mexican blanket. He looked at me and goes,
- 20:54Speaker 2: why do you want a Mexican blanket?
- 20:55Speaker 3: And I was like... Because I need it.
- 20:57Speaker 2: For my car.
- 20:57Speaker 3: That's what you cover the car seats in. He just
- 21:00Speaker 3: kind of looked at me like I was nuts.
- 21:02Speaker 4: Stupid Gringo.
- 21:03Speaker 13: They ought to have enough blankets for when they're hiding
- 21:06Speaker 13: under them across the border.
- 21:07Speaker 3: I don't understand.
- 21:09Speaker 2: Yes, Misty, yes. Here comes the hate mail.
- 21:13Speaker 4: Yeah, keep in mind about half of our audience is
- 21:17Speaker 4: in Texas.
- 21:19Speaker 2: It's all in good fun.
- 21:20Speaker 9: I'm just joking.
- 21:21Speaker 11: Well, then probably they'll, you know, have something to say
- 21:23Speaker 11: about this.
- 21:25Speaker 9: I hate everybody.
- 21:25Speaker 4: That is true. We're all pretty free with our hate.
- 21:28Speaker 1: I don't think.
- 21:29Speaker 3: There's anybody that she doesn't. And I don't think it's
- 21:31Speaker 3: so much.
- 21:33Speaker 2: You know us, listeners.
- 21:34Speaker 3: Well, no, she's not so much where she hates people
- 21:37Speaker 3: or anything like that.
- 21:37Speaker 2: I hate the stereotypes.
- 21:39Speaker 4: She hates the stereotypes. Which is what I think comes
- 21:43Speaker 4: into play a lot in this movie.
- 21:44Speaker 9: I don't want you to get the wrong idea.
- 21:47Speaker 11: I just didn't want to be mistaken.
- 21:48Speaker 13: I hate everybody equally. It's not like I hate one
- 21:52Speaker 13: group more.
- 21:52Speaker 9: Than the next.
- 21:53Speaker 12: That is true.
- 21:55Speaker 4: But no, I mean, to me, it seems like Rodriguez
- 21:57Speaker 4: is really playing with the stereotypes. I mean, he's one
- 22:00Speaker 4: that's always seemed like he's had a sense of humor
- 22:02Speaker 4: about it. Like, he's, you know, he definitely has grown
- 22:06Speaker 4: up in that area. He's, you know, got a huge
- 22:09Speaker 4: family that's probably very traditional in all these, you know,
- 22:12Speaker 4: Mexican traditions. But at the same time, he'll be the
- 22:15Speaker 4: first to sort of poke fun at the Mexican stereotypes.
- 22:18Speaker 4: And he does have them riding around in the tricked-out cars. And,
- 22:22Speaker 4: you know, that's like, you know... In a way, that
- 22:24Speaker 4: could be taken as being stereotypical, but he somehow.
- 22:27Speaker 9: Avoiding the customs lady at all costs.
- 22:28Speaker 4: Yeah, avoiding the customs. They all run when the customs
- 22:31Speaker 4: lady comes up. So, I mean... Given to a different director,
- 22:34Speaker 4: you could almost be insulted by that. But knowing who
- 22:37Speaker 4: it is, and knowing that he is sort of playing
- 22:40Speaker 4: with these conventions.
- 22:40Speaker 3: There ain't nothing wrong with the lowrider scene.
- 22:42Speaker 11: I was in the lowrider scene for a long time, and.
- 22:44Speaker 2: It was fucking awesome.
- 22:46Speaker 4: But I think to a lot of people, they would
- 22:47Speaker 4: consider that being stereotypical. That's the first thing you think
- 22:50Speaker 4: of when Mexicans, they're all driving these lowriders, and yeah, so...
- 22:54Speaker 4: I don't know. I just think it's funny that he's
- 22:56Speaker 4: not afraid of that stuff. He will definitely throw it
- 22:58Speaker 4: in there and laugh at it when it's funny and
- 23:01Speaker 4: use it when it comes in handy for the plot.
- 23:04Speaker 4: He just doesn't seem to be– he doesn't want to
- 23:06Speaker 4: shy away from that kind of stuff. He's like, we're Mexican.
- 23:09Speaker 4: We know we're Mexican. This really is our heritage.
- 23:12Speaker 3: He does it too with the white Texans, the guys
- 23:16Speaker 3: that are just overly pasty.
- 23:17Speaker 14: Oh, yeah.
- 23:17Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 23:18Speaker 2: Old yeehaw boys.
- 23:19Speaker 4: You know and once again with a bunch of crackers
- 23:21Speaker 4: sitting there we could be offended by that but we
- 23:23Speaker 4: also know it's true we'll be the i'll be the
- 23:27Speaker 4: first to call out fucking rednecks and white trash right
- 23:30Speaker 4: we live in the middle of it yeah damn straight
- 23:32Speaker 4: i mean yeah so yeah i was i was much
- 23:35Speaker 4: more siding with the i was like kill those damn
- 23:37Speaker 4: white trash motherfuckers damn crackers kill everybody put a bullet
- 23:42Speaker 4: in his head machete upside his face So, yeah.
- 23:46Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 23:47Speaker 4: It is interesting, though, that it throws that in there.
- 23:49Speaker 4: And they do almost take that one moment to stop
- 23:52Speaker 4: and pose a real question as the security guys, which
- 23:56Speaker 4: we'll get to them in a minute. Because those guys
- 23:58Speaker 4: are funny. The fact that there was like all these
- 24:01Speaker 4: people just get taken out right and left. But there's
- 24:02Speaker 4: this one little group of guys that he never really kills.
- 24:06Speaker 4: He just continues to beat the hell out of them
- 24:08Speaker 4: the whole time. So that was funny. But they do
- 24:10Speaker 4: stop and ask the same question that even I've asked.
- 24:13Speaker 10: I'm like.
- 24:13Speaker 4: How can you treat these people with such disrespect and
- 24:16Speaker 4: let them raise your children? I'm like that.
- 24:19Speaker 3: He's like, we let them drive our cars. We let
- 24:21Speaker 3: them into our house as maids and in our gardens
- 24:24Speaker 3: as gardeners, but we don't let them come over to
- 24:26Speaker 3: this country legally.
- 24:26Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 24:28Speaker 4: That has never made sense.
- 24:29Speaker 2: Yeah, it doesn't make sense.
- 24:31Speaker 4: Especially the children. How would you trust this person with
- 24:34Speaker 4: your child but not even treat them like an equal, period?
- 24:38Speaker 4: They're a lower class citizen completely and utterly, but you'll
- 24:41Speaker 4: let them take care of your child.
- 24:43Speaker 2: Well, I don't see any different... I understand from the whole.
- 24:47Speaker 3: And here we're going to get into political shit and
- 24:51Speaker 3: all that other crap.
- 24:52Speaker 9: Did we get too political?
- 24:52Speaker 12: No, no.
- 24:53Speaker 2: But I understand....
- 24:56Speaker 3: Illegal alien. That's okay. I understand that. But people generally
- 25:00Speaker 3: treat illegal Mexicans different than they would treat an illegal Frenchman.
- 25:05Speaker 3: Or an illegal Dutchman. Or an illegal guy from Japan.
- 25:10Speaker 3: Or just Mexicans in general, I think. I think people
- 25:14Speaker 3: immediately kind of look down on them. My trainer that
- 25:18Speaker 3: was in Muay Thai was over here illegally. He was
- 25:21Speaker 3: here legally at one point, but then his green card...
- 25:26Speaker 3: And so he's been here, I don't know, maybe 15 years.
- 25:30Speaker 8: Wow.
- 25:30Speaker 3: But people have been sheltering him, you know, because.
- 25:33Speaker 9: Maybe you shouldn't tell people that.
- 25:35Speaker 3: Nobody knows who he is. Nobody knows where to find him.
- 25:37Speaker 3: So it's not that big of a deal. I don't
- 25:38Speaker 3: even know where to find him. But, you know, I mean,
- 25:43Speaker 3: and people treat people differently. And it's that stereotype of,
- 25:47Speaker 3: you know.
- 25:48Speaker 2: And all Mexicans are cockroaches and stuff like that.
- 25:51Speaker 3: I know tons of cool Mexicans.
- 25:52Speaker 4: Yeah. But, you know, I know.
- 25:54Speaker 2: Tons of uncool Mexicans.
- 25:56Speaker 3: And I know tons of cool white people and tons
- 25:57Speaker 3: of uncool white people. And the same goes for Chinese
- 26:00Speaker 3: people and black people and everybody else. Cubans, you know,
- 26:06Speaker 3: I love all cultures. I love all people. They're cool
- 26:08Speaker 3: as shit. But, you know, like Misty was saying, as
- 26:10Speaker 3: far as the stereotypes, you know, the stereotypes is what
- 26:13Speaker 3: I don't really like. You know, the people that are just...
- 26:16Speaker 3: There's bad.
- 26:16Speaker 4: Seeds in every race. But that, I mean, that group
- 26:21Speaker 4: of people in particular always seem like they're kind of
- 26:23Speaker 4: looked down on, especially in the last, you know, 50
- 26:26Speaker 4: years or more, because it's always one of those, oh,
- 26:29Speaker 4: you're an illegal immigrant. You know, they've now, you know,
- 26:33Speaker 4: the people who look at people like that. sort of
- 26:35Speaker 4: lump everybody together in that. And they don't necessarily do
- 26:38Speaker 4: that with Frenchmen. But, you know, if you're Mexican, they're
- 26:41Speaker 4: immediately probably going to have that thought.
- 26:43Speaker 13: There's a lot more Mexicans than there are illegal Frenchmen.
- 26:47Speaker 4: I think I'm okay with that, too.
- 26:49Speaker 2: That's probably why there's more.
- 26:51Speaker 13: That's probably why there's more, because there's more Mexicans. That's
- 26:54Speaker 13: why there's more of a... It's more of a known state.
- 26:57Speaker 13: That's why there's more of the hatred. It's more aware of,
- 27:00Speaker 13: because there is more.
- 27:01Speaker 9: I mean, you don't have.
- 27:02Speaker 4: You know. Frenchmen running across the border with baguettes.
- 27:06Speaker 3: An escargot.
- 27:07Speaker 9: You don't have all the fucking French from Canada trying
- 27:09Speaker 9: to burst over. They don't want to come over here.
- 27:11Speaker 9: I mean, seriously.
- 27:12Speaker 1: That's true.
- 27:13Speaker 3: That's awesome.
- 27:14Speaker 4: You don't see people trying to get across the border
- 27:15Speaker 4: from Canada.
- 27:16Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 27:18Speaker 4: Just Mexico.
- 27:19Speaker 9: They can bring their syrup. That's okay, you know.
- 27:22Speaker 1: Oh, man.
- 27:23Speaker 9: Leave Dave Coulier over there.
- 27:26Speaker 4: That's not a request. That's an order.
- 27:29Speaker 9: Please.
- 27:31Speaker 1: Oh, man.
- 27:31Speaker 13: But yeah, that's probably why it's more of a big thing. Because,
- 27:33Speaker 13: I mean, there's a lot more Mexicans that are over
- 27:35Speaker 13: here illegally. And it's more obvious that they're Mexicans.
- 27:38Speaker 9: Like, you can't usually just spot a Frenchman from far away.
- 27:41Speaker 9: You're like, oh, you're French. I don't like you.
- 27:43Speaker 2: And it's not even their fault, really. It's our system's fault.
- 27:47Speaker 2: Our system's broken.
- 27:48Speaker 14: It is.
- 27:49Speaker 4: It doesn't work, and.
- 27:49Speaker 11: It's all about making money. It's all about the big
- 27:52Speaker 11: guy making money. And that's what is funny when they're
- 27:54Speaker 11: talking about, where it's like, how much... probably this nation
- 27:57Speaker 11: relies on cheap, dirt-ass cheap labor that, you know, we
- 28:03Speaker 11: get from, you know, from anybody crossing the border.
- 28:05Speaker 4: Only from, I mean, people who are citizens wouldn't stand
- 28:08Speaker 4: for that kind of bullshit. They would, you know, I
- 28:10Speaker 4: want minimum wage. I want, you know, I want health insurance.
- 28:14Speaker 13: They want to sit and bitch because they take our jobs,
- 28:16Speaker 13: but they're jobs that we don't want.
- 28:17Speaker 4: That's true.
- 28:18Speaker 11: They're probably all saying this and sitting in a house
- 28:21Speaker 11: that was built by, you know, Mexicans. So, I mean,
- 28:25Speaker 11: what are you going to do? Like, bitch about it's
- 28:28Speaker 11: like the war on drugs in a way it's false
- 28:31Speaker 11: in a way because there is money to be made
- 28:34Speaker 11: in the supply and demand And you can't just cut
- 28:38Speaker 11: it all out because then, you know, the prices go up, blah, blah, blah.
- 28:43Speaker 3: If we as a government wanted to stamp out the
- 28:45Speaker 3: war on drugs, we could, but we don't.
- 28:47Speaker 4: No.
- 28:47Speaker 3: The government doesn't want. There's too much money to be made.
- 28:49Speaker 3: There's too much money to be made. You know, all
- 28:52Speaker 3: this stuff about, you know, keep kids off drugs and
- 28:55Speaker 3: all this other crap is all a bunch of BS.
- 28:57Speaker 2: It's all smoke and mirrors.
- 28:58Speaker 4: That's what I've just been saying for years. Just legalize
- 29:00Speaker 4: it and then tax it because, you know, that's the
- 29:03Speaker 4: only way for them to make more money off of
- 29:04Speaker 4: it is find a way to tax it like everything else.
- 29:07Speaker 2: Hey, California's trying to legalize marijuana taxes.
- 29:11Speaker 3: It'll happen. If it happens out there, it's only a
- 29:15Speaker 3: matter of time.
- 29:17Speaker 4: They can tax Mexicans. Is that the next step?
- 29:20Speaker 3: Well, see, that's the thing. If people are going to
- 29:23Speaker 3: come over here, that's fine. That's cool. But at least.
- 29:26Speaker 2: at least document them having to pay in taxes.
- 29:28Speaker 3: That's the only thing. That's the only thing I ask.
- 29:30Speaker 3: I don't care. Everybody should have an equal opportunity to
- 29:32Speaker 3: come to this country.
- 29:33Speaker 4: See, that's the thing.
- 29:34Speaker 9: As long as they want to pull their own weight.
- 29:36Speaker 13: As long as they want to take responsibility for it
- 29:39Speaker 13: and pay taxes.
- 29:40Speaker 4: And most of those people are, though. I mean, you
- 29:42Speaker 4: do see them out there standing around trying to get
- 29:45Speaker 4: a job. And it's like, hell, that's more than most
- 29:46Speaker 4: of the white people here do.
- 29:48Speaker 13: But then you have the ones that are the stereotype.
- 29:50Speaker 13: You have the ones that come over here, don't want
- 29:51Speaker 13: to learn the language, and expect to be given... money
- 29:55Speaker 13: like they have some right to without working for it
- 29:57Speaker 13: i've known people like that i've you know.
- 29:59Speaker 4: I guess but more people i know like that are
- 30:01Speaker 4: white people yeah unfortunately yes there's a lot more because.
- 30:04Speaker 13: I mean i got somebody in my family she's not
- 30:06Speaker 13: in my family but my uncle's wife's mother she came
- 30:09Speaker 13: to this country she demanded to have you know you
- 30:12Speaker 13: know she she wanted government money but she had never
- 30:14Speaker 13: worked in this country in her entire life she refused
- 30:16Speaker 13: to speak the language You know, it's like, what right
- 30:20Speaker 13: do you have to the money if you don't want
- 30:21Speaker 13: to work for it, you know?
- 30:23Speaker 4: But you also have a super white version of that
- 30:25Speaker 4: in your family, too.
- 30:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:26Speaker 4: That leeches off the government.
- 30:28Speaker 13: Yeah, we got fucking lazy people from every fucking nationality
- 30:32Speaker 13: in our family.
- 30:34Speaker 2: Awesome.
- 30:35Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 30:35Speaker 3: Your family's pretty much got all the bases covered.
- 30:37Speaker 13: Oh, yeah. I got the Asian covered. We got the
- 30:39Speaker 13: Asian in. We got the Mexican. We got the blacks.
- 30:41Speaker 9: There you go. Mm-hmm.
- 30:43Speaker 8: And.
- 30:44Speaker 13: They're all fucking, you know, Asian, because you work, but
- 30:47Speaker 13: the black, the Mexican, they're, I mean, it's everybody.
- 30:51Speaker 4: It's white.
- 30:51Speaker 9: My aunt, she's fucking lazy. She ain't listening to this.
- 30:55Speaker 4: That's why I called her out. I was just like,
- 30:57Speaker 4: nobody fits that bill more than your aunt.
- 31:00Speaker 13: But it's, I mean, the ones that want to work
- 31:02Speaker 13: for it and do it legally, I don't have a
- 31:03Speaker 13: problem with people that, you know.
- 31:05Speaker 9: Want to do that. It's just, I don't know. I
- 31:07Speaker 9: don't want to get political.
- 31:08Speaker 4: Well, that's what I think is kind of cool about this,
- 31:09Speaker 4: is it sort of, it does shine that light on it,
- 31:11Speaker 4: but it doesn't really give you an answer. It doesn't
- 31:16Speaker 4: cast anybody as totally wrong. It definitely puts the sway
- 31:19Speaker 4: on the side of the immigrants, but at the same time,
- 31:22Speaker 4: I mean, You've got all these other politicians and guys
- 31:25Speaker 4: that kind of give their story. And they're like, well,
- 31:27Speaker 4: here's our end of it. Here's how we're making money
- 31:29Speaker 4: off of it. How are you going to tell us
- 31:32Speaker 4: to stop making money off of this system? And that's true.
- 31:34Speaker 4: That's how America works. You're not going to change the
- 31:37Speaker 4: system if the system is making money off for the majority,
- 31:40Speaker 4: especially the majority in power.
- 31:41Speaker 3: There's no way in hell.
- 31:43Speaker 2: We're talking all shit about people.
- 31:46Speaker 4: We're talking it across the board, so fuck them.
- 31:48Speaker 11: And that's the overall theme of the movie, you know.
- 31:52Speaker 3: Talk amongst yourselves.
- 31:54Speaker 4: But yeah, I mean, that's kind of what's cool about
- 31:56Speaker 4: this is it does have people sort of, you know,
- 31:58Speaker 4: working together by the end of it. You do have
- 32:00Speaker 4: people in the system that are, you know, a white
- 32:03Speaker 4: guy who's fighting off people with the Mexican guy. It's like,
- 32:06Speaker 4: that's cool. It's like that is sort of in the end.
- 32:08Speaker 4: I mean, there's nobody that I think Rodriguez is such
- 32:12Speaker 4: a good example of that as somebody who. I'm assuming,
- 32:15Speaker 4: I don't know how far back it was that his
- 32:16Speaker 4: family came to America, but I mean, Jesus Christ, look
- 32:19Speaker 4: how successful he is and what he's done to Hollywood.
- 32:23Speaker 4: It's like in such a small span of time, he's
- 32:26Speaker 4: completely revolutionized the way that people do movies, the way
- 32:29Speaker 4: that you budget a movie. That's the reason he gets
- 32:31Speaker 4: to keep making these damn movies. Because he can crank
- 32:34Speaker 4: them out for nothing and make money off of them. And, yeah,
- 32:38Speaker 4: I mean, so, I mean, he's, to me, such a
- 32:41Speaker 4: good person to be put in charge of this because
- 32:43Speaker 4: he is sort of an example for everybody, white, Mexican, whatever.
- 32:47Speaker 4: It's like he's an example of somebody who did, you know,
- 32:50Speaker 4: he's a smart guy. He came into Hollywood, if nowhere else,
- 32:55Speaker 4: and found what he needed to do, what he wanted
- 32:57Speaker 4: to do, and yeah, worked hard for the last 20
- 33:00Speaker 4: some odd years doing it. So it's like, he's a
- 33:02Speaker 4: good example. So it's kind of cool to have him
- 33:06Speaker 4: be able to make a movie like this that sort
- 33:07Speaker 4: of showcases that.
- 33:09Speaker 9: I blame it on Jessica Alba.
- 33:11Speaker 3: Fucker.
- 33:12Speaker 4: Damn cracker. So the tomato meter is 73%. 73%, that's good.
- 33:18Speaker 4: Which is, yeah, the tomato meter's pretty hard, actually. It's
- 33:22Speaker 4: a pretty harsh shit system, so for you to get
- 33:24Speaker 4: above 50 is actually pretty good.
- 33:26Speaker 13: I don't know if they had any numbers on how
- 33:27Speaker 13: many people, how much money it brought in so far.
- 33:30Speaker 2: It's opening.
- 33:31Speaker 9: That's not too racist, cutting you that out.
- 33:34Speaker 4: Again, I think we're talking.
- 33:35Speaker 3: I don't think you sound racist.
- 33:36Speaker 4: That's what I think you need to do. And I
- 33:38Speaker 4: think even, I mean, as ridiculous as this movie is,
- 33:40Speaker 4: as over the top, as completely schlocky as all this is,
- 33:44Speaker 4: I think in the end it really does sort of
- 33:45Speaker 4: make you want to talk. So it's like, I think
- 33:47Speaker 4: that's kind of what's cool is that it can start
- 33:50Speaker 4: a dialogue. Even, you know, a stupid, you know, a
- 33:53Speaker 4: grindhouse movie can actually start a dialogue and make people
- 33:56Speaker 4: come up with something that's sort of more important than
- 33:59Speaker 4: the movie itself probably is.
- 34:01Speaker 13: I'm not racist against Mexicans or blacks particularly. They are
- 34:04Speaker 13: good at each one. I'm racist against the stereotype. I'm
- 34:07Speaker 13: racist against the lazy black man that wants to sit
- 34:10Speaker 13: at home and draw government or the lazy Mexican that
- 34:12Speaker 13: just wants to come over here and think that they
- 34:13Speaker 13: deserve rights.
- 34:14Speaker 4: But I'm equally as annoyed with the lazy white people.
- 34:16Speaker 9: Like I said, it's everybody.
- 34:18Speaker 4: There's plenty of them.
- 34:19Speaker 13: I'm not racist against one particular– You know, one, I'm
- 34:22Speaker 13: racist against all stereotypes.
- 34:24Speaker 9: I'm racist against... I don't.
- 34:26Speaker 4: Think that's racist. She's biased.
- 34:28Speaker 13: Anybody that fits into that category that just wants to
- 34:31Speaker 13: sit and expect stuff to be given to them without
- 34:34Speaker 13: actually having to work for it.
- 34:35Speaker 9: It's like I said, yeah, man, it's like that. She's
- 34:37Speaker 9: white somewhat. She thinks.
- 34:39Speaker 4: Yeah, she doesn't think she is, but she's white.
- 34:41Speaker 9: But, I mean, she's lazy as hell. But, I mean,
- 34:42Speaker 9: that's every.
- 34:43Speaker 13: You're going to find that with every race that there's
- 34:47Speaker 13: that stereotype. There's a stereotype for a reason. There's people
- 34:49Speaker 13: that have made it that way.
- 34:51Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 34:51Speaker 9: And, I mean, yeah, it sucks.
- 34:53Speaker 13: I mean, yeah, it sucks that I look at a
- 34:55Speaker 13: Mexican and I'm like, God, that person's, you know, they're
- 34:57Speaker 13: probably illegal. But that's horrible of me. And, yeah, but,
- 35:00Speaker 13: you know, there are Mexicans that are good. Just not
- 35:02Speaker 13: Jessica Alba.
- 35:05Speaker 4: Most definitely.
- 35:07Speaker 9: I'm sorry. I'm racist.
- 35:08Speaker 17: Whatever.
- 35:09Speaker 4: No, you're not. You're just... You're not racist. And that's
- 35:12Speaker 4: the thing. That's my problem. How can you be.
- 35:13Speaker 3: Racist when you just hate the entire human population?
- 35:17Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 35:18Speaker 3: It's not so much any particular.
- 35:21Speaker 2: It's just people.
- 35:21Speaker 3: People.
- 35:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:22Speaker 4: That's always been mine. People in general kind of suck.
- 35:25Speaker 3: It's just general lazy people is who you can't understand
- 35:28Speaker 3: because I know you, so it's anybody who doesn't want
- 35:31Speaker 3: to work for what they want.
- 35:33Speaker 2: For what they deserve.
- 35:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:35Speaker 3: Don't ever go through this life thinking you deserve something
- 35:38Speaker 3: because you don't deserve anything. You deserve to die. That's
- 35:40Speaker 3: about all you deserve. You deserve to die.
- 35:42Speaker 4: And that's what we call a machete.
- 35:44Speaker 1: Machete.
- 35:45Speaker 3: That's the only right you have is the right to die.
- 35:48Speaker 2: You want anything, you work for it.
- 35:50Speaker 3: And I'm like that.
- 35:52Speaker 13: I don't expect anybody to hand me anything. I don't
- 35:55Speaker 13: ask for help. If I want something, I'm going to
- 35:58Speaker 13: work and I'm going to get it. It's going to
- 35:59Speaker 13: get done.
- 36:00Speaker 9: I don't just sit there and be like, oh, well,
- 36:01Speaker 9: what can I get from the government for that?
- 36:03Speaker 4: I mean, do you think somebody handed.
- 36:05Speaker 13: I'm not going to sit and pop out six kids
- 36:08Speaker 13: so that I can draw money from Social Security like
- 36:11Speaker 13: my aunt did.
- 36:11Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 36:13Speaker 4: Once again, that's a flaw in the system, not the people.
- 36:16Speaker 4: If we didn't set up a system that would allow
- 36:18Speaker 4: people to do that, then you wouldn't invite people. Because
- 36:22Speaker 4: that's the thing. Immigrants have been coming to this country
- 36:24Speaker 4: for how many hundreds of years? Since day one.
- 36:27Speaker 3: They're all immigrants.
- 36:29Speaker 4: That's how this country got made.
- 36:31Speaker 13: Somehow the Asians don't have the reputation for being lazy.
- 36:34Speaker 13: They fucking do fingernails and shit.
- 36:35Speaker 11: They built our railroad.
- 36:37Speaker 2: Not to be stereotypical.
- 36:41Speaker 9: I mean, Asians, they don't seem to have that same.
- 36:44Speaker 2: It's different.
- 36:45Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 36:46Speaker 8: It is.
- 36:47Speaker 2: I guarantee there's lazy Asians out there. There's got to be.
- 36:50Speaker 9: Somehow they've managed to avoid that stereotype.
- 36:52Speaker 13: They have the stereotype that they're smarter than us.
- 36:55Speaker 4: They're lazy and bad at math. Somewhere there's one of
- 36:57Speaker 4: them out there.
- 36:58Speaker 3: We all know Kung Fu.
- 37:00Speaker 9: Your kid. It's your kid. She's the flaw.
- 37:03Speaker 2: She is, isn't she? Damn it. My kid thinks everything
- 37:07Speaker 2: needs to be given to her.
- 37:08Speaker 9: Your kid is the downfall of the Asian civilization.
- 37:11Speaker 11: Only one thing to do, Jay.
- 37:13Speaker 3: I'm going to break her up.
- 37:16Speaker 9: Beat it out of her. You can't beat kids anymore.
- 37:17Speaker 13: That's the problem right there. You can't beat the lazy
- 37:21Speaker 13: out of these people.
- 37:23Speaker 4: Machete can.
- 37:24Speaker 2: But he can't text.
- 37:27Speaker 4: He doesn't need to text. I felt a little kinship
- 37:30Speaker 4: there as I was just bitching about texting.
- 37:32Speaker 9: Because I made you text Roger before the show.
- 37:35Speaker 4: And I was like, fuck.
- 37:35Speaker 2: That was kind of weird, yeah.
- 37:37Speaker 11: I was like, Brian don't text.
- 37:40Speaker 2: Brian don't text.
- 37:42Speaker 4: Son of a bitch, you're making me text.
- 37:44Speaker 3: Ugh.
- 37:44Speaker 11: See, really, that's one of the things I can say
- 37:46Speaker 11: about this. This movie has so many awesome moments. The
- 37:49Speaker 11: whole thing is just like awesome moment after awesome moment.
- 37:52Speaker 11: And so it's like, you know, some of those movies
- 37:53Speaker 11: that you see and you're like, oh, I remember that scene, blah, blah, blah.
- 37:56Speaker 2: There's a few of them.
- 37:57Speaker 11: This whole movie is just consecutive back-to-back these, you know,
- 38:02Speaker 11: things that are happening, these cool moments.
- 38:04Speaker 13: But I don't see it, like, holding up for more than, like,
- 38:06Speaker 13: one viewing. I was like, I loved it. It was
- 38:08Speaker 13: fucking awesome. Do I really want to see it again?
- 38:09Speaker 3: I could see it again.
- 38:10Speaker 4: I do want to see it again.
- 38:11Speaker 2: I could see it again.
- 38:12Speaker 11: Definitely with friends, though. Like, I'd like to see it
- 38:14Speaker 11: with more people. It seems like a really good, like,
- 38:17Speaker 11: everyone laugh out loud.
- 38:18Speaker 2: Like, have a good time.
- 38:19Speaker 13: Turn it into a drinking game where you drink every
- 38:21Speaker 13: time and cut somebody's body parts off.
- 38:23Speaker 3: I love Danny Trejo, man. He's a great guy. I'm
- 38:25Speaker 3: glad they finally gave him a film where he's the hero.
- 38:28Speaker 4: That's what's funny.
- 38:28Speaker 2: Because he always gets cast as the bad guy.
- 38:30Speaker 11: Because he looks like a fucking bad guy.
- 38:32Speaker 2: But even as the bad guy, I always thought he
- 38:34Speaker 2: was fucking cool as hell.
- 38:35Speaker 4: And he's been in so many things. It's funny how
- 38:38Speaker 4: long it's taken him to build up this career to
- 38:40Speaker 4: finally leading man in any movie.
- 38:42Speaker 3: Even when he was in Desperado, and he was basically
- 38:46Speaker 3: the machete guy in Desperado. I was like, holy shit,
- 38:48Speaker 3: it would be so awesome if they just fucking gave
- 38:50Speaker 3: this guy his movie. A movie, yeah.
- 38:52Speaker 13: I want a movie that says the bartender from, from
- 38:54Speaker 13: dusk till dawn before that whole thing.
- 38:56Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 38:57Speaker 9: You know, I would just watch him serve.
- 38:58Speaker 4: Well, that's desperado. Yeah.
- 39:00Speaker 3: That's basically desperado.
- 39:01Speaker 4: I haven't seen it for a long time, but, uh,
- 39:03Speaker 4: they keep crossing over, which again, I mean, he's, he's
- 39:06Speaker 4: sort of created his own little universe here.
- 39:08Speaker 9: When's he going to play a romantic lead?
- 39:11Speaker 4: Comedy i think let's see um jessica alba and him
- 39:15Speaker 4: in let's see what are we going to call this
- 39:17Speaker 4: thing i was gonna say j-lo because she used to
- 39:21Speaker 4: be your fallback romantic comedy but you don't want them
- 39:23Speaker 4: of the same you know you don't want them both
- 39:25Speaker 4: hispanic you got to mix it up.
- 39:27Speaker 3: It's going to be, it's going to be, uh, damn rom-coms. Um, no,
- 39:32Speaker 3: it's going to be Danny Trejo, uh, reprising the Arnold
- 39:35Speaker 3: Schwarzenegger role.
- 39:36Speaker 15: Oh God.
- 39:37Speaker 3: Uh, Oh, shit, what's the name of that movie where
- 39:39Speaker 3: he gets pregnant?
- 39:41Speaker 4: Junior?
- 39:41Speaker 12: Junior, yeah.
- 39:42Speaker 2: It's going to be Danny Trejo in Junior.
- 39:45Speaker 9: One thing would be a hardened school teacher.
- 39:48Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 39:49Speaker 4: Kindergarten Trejo.
- 39:50Speaker 11: Or the substitute. He could be one of the other
- 39:52Speaker 11: substitute movies or whatever.
- 39:54Speaker 3: Well, yeah.
- 39:56Speaker 7: Oh, man.
- 39:57Speaker 11: He comes in to shape up the tough kids.
- 40:00Speaker 4: I can see that, actually. He'll be the principal.
- 40:03Speaker 2: Or there could be Danny Trejo in The Hot Chick.
- 40:05Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 40:06Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 40:08Speaker 4: I don't know what to think of that.
- 40:09Speaker 2: You don't remember the Rob Schneider one?
- 40:11Speaker 4: Yeah, I know. I don't see that happening at all.
- 40:14Speaker 4: I don't know that you can insert Danny Trejo in
- 40:16Speaker 4: any of Rob Schneider's roles.
- 40:19Speaker 2: Come on!
- 40:20Speaker 9: The Gigolo one?
- 40:24Speaker 4: No, because girls do want to get with Danny Trejo.
- 40:26Speaker 4: That's the difference. That's why it wouldn't work. Nobody wants
- 40:29Speaker 4: to get with Rob Schneider. But that's what's funny in
- 40:32Speaker 4: this one. He is sort of, once again, he's playing
- 40:35Speaker 4: the Mexican James Bond. He's scoring with all the women.
- 40:39Speaker 4: He just takes people out without batting an eye. He
- 40:42Speaker 4: is just like fucking Superman throughout this entire movie. He
- 40:46Speaker 4: just annihilates everybody and scores with chicks. That's pretty fucking awesome.
- 40:50Speaker 4: That's pretty awesome. As of right now, it is coming
- 40:55Speaker 4: in number three.
- 40:56Speaker 11: Oh, good deal.
- 40:57Speaker 2: It is $ 11 million.
- 40:59Speaker 4: But once again, his are so cheap, I'm trying to
- 41:00Speaker 4: think what the budget was. I think it was only
- 41:02Speaker 4: like $ 40 million or something.
- 41:03Speaker 15: I don't know.
- 41:03Speaker 9: There was a lot of explosions in this one.
- 41:05Speaker 3: But they were CGI explosions.
- 41:07Speaker 4: Green screen.
- 41:09Speaker 3: Explosions. Explosions don't take much.
- 41:12Speaker 2: And who did it come in under?
- 41:14Speaker 11: Or what movies did it come in under?
- 41:16Speaker 4: Actually, he doesn't have the budget. But yeah, I mean,
- 41:18Speaker 4: his are rarely more than $ 50 million for anything he's
- 41:21Speaker 4: ever done. Usually they're like $ 30.
- 41:23Speaker 3: Well, that's the thing. He can make a good film
- 41:26Speaker 3: with a low budget and still make a lot of
- 41:28Speaker 3: money off of them. People still want to see him.
- 41:30Speaker 4: He came in about, well, I mean, Takers was kind
- 41:33Speaker 4: of huge. That one came in second, and the American, which,
- 41:36Speaker 4: I mean, you can't fight with Clooney. Clooney is a
- 41:39Speaker 4: super spy. Clooney is, yeah, a badass and everything.
- 41:42Speaker 9: He's shirtless in it, which, from what I've heard, is
- 41:44Speaker 9: kind of.
- 41:44Speaker 2: Not so hot anymore.
- 41:46Speaker 4: That's why he's usually got, like, the tux going on.
- 41:49Speaker 13: Which is totally hotter than him without his shirt on,
- 41:51Speaker 13: which is strange, because usually I'm more like, ooh, take
- 41:52Speaker 13: it off, but now I'm like, ooh, put it back on.
- 41:55Speaker 4: Put a suit on.
- 41:56Speaker 9: Put more clothes on.
- 41:57Speaker 4: A well-dressed suit. That's what I like you in.
- 41:59Speaker 9: Yeah, a parka. A nice little parka.
- 42:02Speaker 3: Fur mittens.
- 42:04Speaker 4: So, any more comments on our cast here?
- 42:07Speaker 3: Yeah, Steven Seagal. Dude, you've gotten so fucking fat, man.
- 42:11Speaker 2: What the hell?
- 42:12Speaker 11: Why do you let yourself fucking go? He looks like
- 42:15Speaker 11: he's thinner than when he was in the TV show,
- 42:18Speaker 11: I think. He seemed like he was bigger in the
- 42:20Speaker 11: TV show.
- 42:21Speaker 3: He's still.
- 42:21Speaker 4: He just looks like he has for a long time.
- 42:23Speaker 3: The thing that cracks me up, too, is, like, I
- 42:26Speaker 3: was waiting for Trejo to kill Steven Seagal. Not that
- 42:29Speaker 3: I really.
- 42:30Speaker 9: Big spoiler alert coming?
- 42:31Speaker 2: Yeah, big spoiler alert. The whole damn movie is a
- 42:35Speaker 2: fucking spoiler alert. But, you know, there was a point
- 42:39Speaker 2: in time where I liked Steven Seagal.
- 42:41Speaker 3: He was actually a pretty cool guy.
- 42:42Speaker 9: Sports drinks now.
- 42:43Speaker 3: I actually got to meet him one time, a long
- 42:45Speaker 3: time ago, before he even put out any movies. But
- 42:49Speaker 3: that's another story. But he seemed like a really cool guy,
- 42:54Speaker 3: and then he just kind of went downhill from there, lost.
- 42:57Speaker 7: It, and.
- 42:58Speaker 11: I think on deadly ground for me when I was like,
- 43:00Speaker 11: what the fuck is he doing?
- 43:02Speaker 4: I mean, it was like the under siege was the
- 43:05Speaker 4: jump the shark moment for him. They got bigger and bigger,
- 43:08Speaker 4: and they got to that point, and it was like
- 43:10Speaker 4: everything from there on was just like, no.
- 43:12Speaker 3: I was on board for above the law and outlawed
- 43:16Speaker 3: for justice, marked for death, but then right after that,
- 43:19Speaker 3: it just.
- 43:20Speaker 4: Went under siege. That was what did it. It was
- 43:22Speaker 4: like that was just a little too much.
- 43:25Speaker 2: Point he had gotten to where like.
- 43:26Speaker 3: You know what i don't have to work out anymore.
- 43:28Speaker 4: Yeah you know and i can just just well and
- 43:31Speaker 4: people yeah he got to the point where he didn't
- 43:33Speaker 4: do anything he just stands still and the bad guys
- 43:35Speaker 4: would run at him like we've made fun of him
- 43:37Speaker 4: many a time exactly it's his gravitational pull you know.
- 43:41Speaker 3: It's gonna be great he's gonna be doing a sword
- 43:43Speaker 3: fight with trejo he's gonna have his fucking samurai sword
- 43:46Speaker 3: he's gonna have his machetes and they're gonna chop chop
- 43:49Speaker 3: at each other and then hopefully danny trejo is gonna
- 43:51Speaker 3: chop him in half or chop something off of him
- 43:54Speaker 3: no no nobody can kill Steven Seagal only Steven Seagal
- 43:59Speaker 3: can kill Steven Seagal yeah right So he ends up
- 44:01Speaker 3: killing himself.
- 44:02Speaker 9: And that's what it comes down to.
- 44:04Speaker 4: Trejo stabbed him.
- 44:06Speaker 9: And my initial thought was, oh, I wonder if he
- 44:08Speaker 9: hit that cheeseburger.
- 44:09Speaker 4: Well, that's the thing. It's right in the gut. And
- 44:11Speaker 4: then he starts going, this is nothing. And I'm just like, yeah,
- 44:14Speaker 4: you don't even feel that probably. There's so much blubber there.
- 44:17Speaker 9: It's a flesh wound.
- 44:18Speaker 11: Which is a funny scene when he's like turning the
- 44:19Speaker 11: blade like, yeah. It's just so fake. But yeah, I agree.
- 44:25Speaker 11: I wanted to see like. Something a little bit more epic.
- 44:27Speaker 7: Oh, yeah.
- 44:28Speaker 2: He killed his fucking family.
- 44:30Speaker 11: If you want to see a fucking battle, he's going
- 44:32Speaker 11: to be like, I would have pulled the machete out
- 44:35Speaker 11: of his stomach going, no, bitch, you don't get to
- 44:36Speaker 11: kill yourself.
- 44:37Speaker 3: I'm going to kill you.
- 44:38Speaker 13: See, I kept waiting for his long-lost daughter to show
- 44:40Speaker 13: up because they never actually show her death. I was
- 44:42Speaker 13: waiting for like, I was waiting for it to secretly
- 44:44Speaker 13: be like Michelle Rodriguez.
- 44:45Speaker 4: That's what we all were kind of thinking. Roger and
- 44:47Speaker 4: I were thinking that until she climbed on top of it.
- 44:49Speaker 4: We were like, hopefully this is not his daughter. I
- 44:52Speaker 4: was like, yeah, hopefully this is it.
- 44:56Speaker 9: And then it's like, maybe it'll be Jessica Alba. I'm like, no,
- 44:58Speaker 9: that's not right either. But then it's like, because they
- 45:00Speaker 9: never actually show the daughter. Is she going to be
- 45:01Speaker 9: in one of the sequels? Because they never actually show.
- 45:04Speaker 4: Once again, I mean, they're sort of setting up, and
- 45:06Speaker 4: that's what the Rodriguez said, because they were asking her,
- 45:09Speaker 4: you've got this badass character now, are we going to get, like,
- 45:11Speaker 4: spin-off movies with her? Because that'd be kind of awesome, actually.
- 45:14Speaker 9: We're going to get Daughter of Machete.
- 45:16Speaker 4: Daughter of Machete, after Machete kills again.
- 45:19Speaker 11: Machete net.
- 45:22Speaker 4: No, I just want the She movies now.
- 45:24Speaker 2: Pancetta?
- 45:26Speaker 3: No, Hatchet.
- 45:28Speaker 4: Fucking She movies, I'm telling you.
- 45:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 45:30Speaker 4: A whole line of She movies.
- 45:31Speaker 2: It's like She-Agle.
- 45:33Speaker 4: Kind of but no we well again another one that
- 45:36Speaker 4: you know sort of pulling a tarantino and dusting off
- 45:39Speaker 4: an actor and pulling him out of obscurity don johnson
- 45:42Speaker 4: yeah pulls.
- 45:43Speaker 10: In a good performance really good he plays a good
- 45:45Speaker 10: jackass yeah well i mean he's always been kind of
- 45:47Speaker 10: a jackass but he's found a way to turn up
- 45:50Speaker 10: the redneck on this one and it makes it even
- 45:53Speaker 10: more impressive so yeah.
- 45:54Speaker 3: He plays he's a good villain you just want to
- 45:56Speaker 3: see you want him fucked up so.
- 45:59Speaker 13: Are we going to start seeing more of him in
- 46:00Speaker 13: this kind of role or is this his probably.
- 46:02Speaker 4: Well it's funny that I mean he got to be
- 46:03Speaker 4: the leading man that he did because he always kind
- 46:06Speaker 4: of had that attitude like aside from Miami Vice like
- 46:09Speaker 4: you look at him in movies a lot of times
- 46:10Speaker 4: because they gave him a good amount of movies in
- 46:12Speaker 4: like the early 90s you know and it's like actually
- 46:15Speaker 4: I don't remember any of them he's still well he's
- 46:17Speaker 4: still kind of a jackass in all.
- 46:18Speaker 9: Of them so it's like fantastic singing.
- 46:20Speaker 4: It's Harwell that was awesome Harwell We do have a
- 46:26Speaker 4: lot of fans of that. They'd probably be thrilled. So
- 46:28Speaker 4: go ahead and finish out the song.
- 46:29Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 46:31Speaker 4: Everybody loves Heartbeat.
- 46:32Speaker 9: All I can picture him is him. I can do
- 46:34Speaker 9: the motion.
- 46:35Speaker 10: Nice.
- 46:35Speaker 11: Too bad you all can't see what just happened.
- 46:38Speaker 4: Yeah, she's doing the arm motion. I'm picturing Dweezil off
- 46:42Speaker 4: to the side. Yeah, it was epic. Good times. But yeah,
- 46:46Speaker 4: he was... I mean, it's funny to me that he
- 46:48Speaker 4: got to be as popular as he did and as
- 46:50Speaker 4: well-liked with people and ladies in general because I'm like,
- 46:54Speaker 4: he's a jackass in every role. He seems kind of
- 46:56Speaker 4: like a jackass in real life. No offense to him, but...
- 46:59Speaker 4: What little I've seen of him, I mean, he seems
- 47:01Speaker 4: kind of full of himself. But chicks kind.
- 47:03Speaker 9: Of dig that sometimes.
- 47:04Speaker 4: They do, and that's funny. I mean, he had that
- 47:08Speaker 4: bigger career and being kind of a jerk.
- 47:10Speaker 11: I should be the leading man. I always should be
- 47:12Speaker 11: the leading man.
- 47:13Speaker 4: Don Johnson. He sort of, yeah, pulled a Tarantino there
- 47:16Speaker 4: and dug out somebody that nobody had seen in a
- 47:18Speaker 4: long time. It was like, here, play this role. Yeah.
- 47:21Speaker 4: Much like Jeff Fahey. There's another one that disappeared.
- 47:25Speaker 3: Who's that?
- 47:26Speaker 4: The booth. The bad guy through half the movie.
- 47:30Speaker 3: I really like Fahey in this.
- 47:31Speaker 2: I was trying to figure out where I'd seen him before.
- 47:34Speaker 3: In everything.
- 47:35Speaker 4: Yeah, Lawnmower Man.
- 47:36Speaker 2: Who was he in Lawnmower Man? The kid. Was he?
- 47:39Speaker 4: The main guy.
- 47:40Speaker 3: Did he look like him?
- 47:41Speaker 11: Yeah, he was so young back then.
- 47:44Speaker 4: God, that movie sucked. He's been in a ton of stuff, though. So,
- 47:47Speaker 4: I mean, he's another one that, like.
- 47:48Speaker 2: He put in a really good performance.
- 47:50Speaker 4: He is good.
- 47:51Speaker 2: Dude, you're going to hate him, too.
- 47:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 47:53Speaker 3: He's a great villain.
- 47:54Speaker 4: Well, that's why I think it was such a big,
- 47:57Speaker 4: you know, just sort of a sellout moment when you
- 47:59Speaker 4: get that lame, like, Seagal kill. Because this movie has
- 48:02Speaker 4: so many villains. Like, it builds up.
- 48:04Speaker 12: Good villains.
- 48:05Speaker 4: All these, you know, these bad characters. And I realized,
- 48:07Speaker 4: you know, midway in, we start kind of taking them out.
- 48:10Speaker 4: We start knocking out some of the people.
- 48:12Speaker 9: And we get to see them all done.
- 48:12Speaker 4: And luckily, yeah, we slow... But you're like doing the checklist.
- 48:16Speaker 4: You're like, all right, we got rid of him. We
- 48:17Speaker 4: got rid of him. Okay, now who's the big one?
- 48:19Speaker 4: And we kind of see it build up. Oh, I
- 48:20Speaker 4: guess Seagal's actually going to show.
- 48:22Speaker 9: He'd be the boss of the video game.
- 48:23Speaker 4: Yeah, he'd be the big boss at the end of
- 48:25Speaker 4: the level, which... But then he's an easy boss to be.
- 48:28Speaker 3: He wasn't the last one killed.
- 48:29Speaker 4: Well, they did a fake out. They killed one of them,
- 48:32Speaker 4: and then they turned around and killed him again.
- 48:33Speaker 9: I knew that fake out was there.
- 48:36Speaker 3: In a very ironic way.
- 48:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 48:38Speaker 4: Yeah, it was funny.
- 48:39Speaker 11: Well, especially because, yeah, like, spoiler alert, his death scene was,
- 48:43Speaker 11: I was like, either that is the worst death scene
- 48:46Speaker 11: ever when he's getting shot, kind of like, There's no
- 48:51Speaker 11: blood And you could.
- 48:52Speaker 4: See it under there Yeah dude Like if they wouldn't
- 48:55Speaker 4: have done that I was like that's a terrible effect
- 48:57Speaker 4: Because you can see he's got.
- 48:58Speaker 13: A big plate And one thing else I want to
- 49:00Speaker 13: mention Lindsay Lohan's stupid ass fucking lip freckle I'm sorry
- 49:04Speaker 13: I've noticed it before No it's a lip freckle I've
- 49:08Speaker 13: noticed it before but it's never been quite that obvious
- 49:11Speaker 13: Ever since my scene of What was the movie that
- 49:13Speaker 13: I watched? The Transporter 3 with the chick with the
- 49:15Speaker 13: lip freckle This brought that whole anger back, and I
- 49:18Speaker 13: was yeah I was not at all happy with her
- 49:20Speaker 13: lip freckle Lindsay Lohan.
- 49:21Speaker 11: Looks good in a what naked naked well not naked
- 49:26Speaker 11: there's a whole lot of naked basically with the silenced
- 49:30Speaker 11: mac 10 she looked bad like I was like I
- 49:32Speaker 11: never really thought that she's all that hot, but something
- 49:34Speaker 11: about that habit, I'm like, I gotta have it.
- 49:37Speaker 4: You gotta think for nuns is what you're coming to
- 49:39Speaker 4: terms with?
- 49:40Speaker 11: Maybe I do.
- 49:41Speaker 4: Well, there's a whole sub-genre of films out there for you.
- 49:46Speaker 9: Yeah, the lip freckle. The lip freckle.
- 49:48Speaker 1: It is.
- 49:49Speaker 4: I'm trying to think. Has anybody seen that movie that
- 49:52Speaker 4: she's a stripper in?
- 49:53Speaker 9: I Don't Know Who Killed Me?
- 49:54Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 49:55Speaker 9: I want to see it, though.
- 49:56Speaker 4: Because I'm trying to... I thought she even got called
- 49:57Speaker 4: out for not being naked in that, and she's a stripper.
- 50:00Speaker 4: So it's weird, because I don't think... I've seen her
- 50:02Speaker 4: in print... naked several times now because she thinks it's cool.
- 50:04Speaker 9: I've seen her badly in print.
- 50:05Speaker 4: Yeah, I know. But, I mean, is this the first
- 50:08Speaker 4: time she's just full-on goth naked?
- 50:09Speaker 2: I think so.
- 50:10Speaker 11: Somebody was saying it was a body double, but I'm
- 50:12Speaker 11: not so sure.
- 50:14Speaker 4: The topless part couldn't have been because, I mean, you
- 50:15Speaker 4: could see, yeah, in the pool, you could see her.
- 50:18Speaker 4: She's been naked before.
- 50:20Speaker 9: Why not?
- 50:20Speaker 11: I mean, she flashes her freaking cho-cho when she gets
- 50:23Speaker 11: out of cars at parties or whatever.
- 50:25Speaker 13: Well, she did that whole fucking magazine shit trying to
- 50:28Speaker 13: duplicate Marilyn Monroe's last naked shoot.
- 50:30Speaker 18: Oh, wow.
- 50:31Speaker 4: So, yeah, I've seen all of those. I mean, it's
- 50:33Speaker 4: just like, not like we haven't seen those.
- 50:34Speaker 3: Ellen Monroe is beautiful.
- 50:36Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 50:36Speaker 9: Ellen Monroe is fucking hot. I'd have tapped that.
- 50:39Speaker 2: Really hot.
- 50:40Speaker 4: Yeah, Lindsay, again, I think it's only funny because of
- 50:44Speaker 4: who she is.
- 50:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 50:46Speaker 4: I think that's the only thing that saves her in
- 50:48Speaker 4: this role is the fact that in the beginning there,
- 50:50Speaker 4: we feel like it's so close. Throughout the whole thing,
- 50:53Speaker 4: I mean, she's sitting there going, you know how many
- 50:54Speaker 4: people have seen me on the internet?
- 50:56Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 50:56Speaker 4: How many people have hit my... my website and I'm
- 50:58Speaker 4: like no that's true yeah it's like we've all seen
- 51:01Speaker 4: you on the internet Lindsay.
- 51:02Speaker 11: I also thought it was strange when she's going to
- 51:04Speaker 11: do a scene with her mother nude in the pool
- 51:07Speaker 11: yeah and then Danny Trejo comes in and max both
- 51:09Speaker 11: of them.
- 51:10Speaker 4: Yeah Recreating the fake trailer scene, which is kind of awesome.
- 51:16Speaker 4: They didn't disappoint on that one.
- 51:18Speaker 13: Speaking again of the cast, there was that one member
- 51:20Speaker 13: that we didn't even realize who it was at the time,
- 51:22Speaker 13: and then I made you look it up, and what
- 51:25Speaker 13: was his name again?
- 51:26Speaker 4: His name is Daryl Sabara.
- 51:30Speaker 11: Who you will know.
- 51:30Speaker 3: This is the homie.
- 51:32Speaker 4: Yeah, well, he's the one we kept calling out. Like,
- 51:34Speaker 4: who is this little cracker kid?
- 51:37Speaker 9: I'm adopted.
- 51:38Speaker 2: Because he gets name at the beginning of the movie.
- 51:40Speaker 4: Yeah, he's thrown up there at the beginning with all
- 51:42Speaker 4: the rest of the Lohan and, you know, then this
- 51:45Speaker 4: Daryl kid. And we're like, who is that chump? And
- 51:48Speaker 4: then we made more fun of him because once he's talking,
- 51:49Speaker 4: you're like, really? Who is this crazy gringo in the
- 51:52Speaker 4: middle of this mess? He is the Spy Kid. He
- 51:55Speaker 4: is the grown-up, now... The non-Alexa Vega Spy Kid. Yeah,
- 51:59Speaker 4: the 18-ish-year-old kid that's now too old to be in
- 52:02Speaker 4: Spy Kids. He's being replaced in the next one. Spy teenager. Yeah.
- 52:07Speaker 4: Now he's just got to turn up as a homie
- 52:09Speaker 4: in this movie.
- 52:11Speaker 3: Kind of reminded me of the guy in Blood In
- 52:13Speaker 3: Blood Out who didn't really sell me as much as
- 52:15Speaker 3: a Latino guy.
- 52:17Speaker 4: I was trying to decide. I was like, does that
- 52:18Speaker 4: make him like a Wexican?
- 52:19Speaker 2: Yeah. I think so.
- 52:21Speaker 4: Crazy Wexican.
- 52:22Speaker 2: I think so.
- 52:23Speaker 4: He's no red Nexican.
- 52:25Speaker 2: Red Nexican.
- 52:26Speaker 17: God.
- 52:26Speaker 2: He's a Waitino.
- 52:28Speaker 4: A Waitino.
- 52:29Speaker 3: Waitino.
- 52:29Speaker 11: They just keep coming.
- 52:33Speaker 1: Oh, man.
- 52:34Speaker 14: Who else?
- 52:35Speaker 1: Oh, Cheech.
- 52:36Speaker 4: You can't go wrong with Cheech.
- 52:37Speaker 11: Cheech is awesome.
- 52:38Speaker 4: Badass. And I do like that Cheech is pulling off
- 52:46Speaker 4: the props from the old Marilyn Manson tour.
- 52:48Speaker 9: The cross made out of TVs.
- 52:51Speaker 4: The cross made out of TVs. I was like, dude,
- 52:53Speaker 4: Manson had that.
- 52:54Speaker 9: Dude, we saw that.
- 52:54Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 52:55Speaker 9: We sat in the handicap seats and watched it.
- 52:57Speaker 4: Yeah if there's anything we're not pc for it's that
- 53:00Speaker 4: we stole seats from handicapped people to wash the maryland
- 53:03Speaker 4: yeah we didn't care what race they were but you
- 53:05Speaker 4: know get out of the way we need these seats
- 53:09Speaker 4: yep but we saw a big you know crucifix tv
- 53:12Speaker 4: so that was yeah i thought that was kind of
- 53:14Speaker 4: funny and i wondered if anybody else thought that because
- 53:16Speaker 4: that's the first thing i thought.
- 53:17Speaker 11: Of like dude you stole everything And he offers Trejo
- 53:21Speaker 11: cigars and he denies them. He offers them blunts, basically.
- 53:25Speaker 4: Mexican.
- 53:25Speaker 2: He doesn't want Cuban.
- 53:27Speaker 4: He wants Mexican. Which, once again, playing on the stereotype.
- 53:30Speaker 4: So Rodriguez is, you know, I mean, everybody likes to
- 53:32Speaker 4: kind of play with those little conventions.
- 53:35Speaker 13: But if a white guy directed this, would you take
- 53:37Speaker 13: it the same way?
- 53:38Speaker 4: I think you'd have reason to call him out.
- 53:40Speaker 13: It would have been different. Like if a white guy
- 53:42Speaker 13: directed any of the fucking Taylor Perry movies, black people
- 53:46Speaker 13: would be offended by that.
- 53:46Speaker 4: They should be. I'm offended by anything Taylor Perry makes,
- 53:51Speaker 4: but that's just on the grounds of intelligence. But why
- 53:56Speaker 4: is this character supposed to be so stupid?
- 53:58Speaker 13: But why is it okay for Mexicans to make fun
- 54:00Speaker 13: of Mexicans and blacks to make fun of blacks, but
- 54:01Speaker 13: if white people do it?
- 54:02Speaker 11: That's how it works.
- 54:03Speaker 3: White people aren't allowed to make fun of anybody else
- 54:06Speaker 3: except for white people.
- 54:08Speaker 9: But black people can make fun of white people.
- 54:09Speaker 1: It doesn't matter.
- 54:10Speaker 4: It makes it okay.
- 54:11Speaker 3: White people have done so many atrocities to so many
- 54:13Speaker 3: other races that they're no longer allowed to do anything
- 54:15Speaker 3: to anybody at any point.
- 54:17Speaker 9: Fuck that. I make fun of everybody.
- 54:19Speaker 2: I'm not saying, I'm not the one who's saying it.
- 54:21Speaker 3: I'm just saying that's kind of the general idea of
- 54:22Speaker 3: the thing.
- 54:24Speaker 9: Pretty much.
- 54:24Speaker 3: See, I'm lucky. See. See, I'm not going to make
- 54:26Speaker 3: fun of everybody.
- 54:27Speaker 9: Oh, we can make fun. We can still make fun
- 54:28Speaker 9: of Asians.
- 54:28Speaker 2: That's okay.
- 54:29Speaker 3: I make fun of Asians all the time.
- 54:31Speaker 9: We make fun of Asians in movies all the time.
- 54:32Speaker 4: Yeah, that's fair. We kind of do.
- 54:34Speaker 3: Me and Ronnie were like, what was it? Me and
- 54:35Speaker 3: my friend Ronnie, he was like, he's half Korean. And
- 54:38Speaker 3: then our friend Charles. who is full Vietnamese, and we
- 54:42Speaker 3: were sitting around one time at a.
- 54:44Speaker 2: Restaurant, and we were like, you know, between me, you,
- 54:46Speaker 2: and Ronnie, we make two full chinks.
- 54:48Speaker 8: Nice.
- 54:49Speaker 9: Was it because of that?
- 54:50Speaker 2: My girl got offended.
- 54:52Speaker 4: See, that's how it works.
- 54:53Speaker 2: I'm offended. Shut up.
- 54:55Speaker 6: What?
- 54:56Speaker 4: My boyfriend's black.
- 54:57Speaker 2: What's that got to do with it?
- 55:00Speaker 11: Was she calling from another table? Was she even involved?
- 55:02Speaker 3: No, it was one of the waitresses.
- 55:03Speaker 11: Oh, fuck her.
- 55:04Speaker 2: Fuck off.
- 55:05Speaker 4: But see, yeah, that's the thing. The people within their
- 55:07Speaker 4: own group have a sense of humor. It's only somebody
- 55:10Speaker 4: outside that always gets.
- 55:11Speaker 3: Offended by it. Jerks.
- 55:13Speaker 12: Laugh.
- 55:13Speaker 3: Laugh at yourself. Laugh at others.
- 55:16Speaker 1: It's funny.
- 55:17Speaker 9: And point when you laugh, too. That makes it more fun.
- 55:20Speaker 4: That's the misty way.
- 55:21Speaker 3: Push them down and laugh. No.
- 55:23Speaker 9: Take their candy.
- 55:25Speaker 4: Take their candy. No matter what race they are, take
- 55:29Speaker 4: their candy.
- 55:30Speaker 9: Or fudge if they're Amish, because I love me some
- 55:32Speaker 9: Amish fudge.
- 55:33Speaker 1: Fudge.
- 55:35Speaker 3: You're not going to take my 3N cookies?
- 55:37Speaker 9: No, fuck this.
- 55:39Speaker 3: They make you burp eggs.
- 55:41Speaker 2: Rotten eggs. I can't even eat them.
- 55:43Speaker 9: You ain't Asian enough for that shit.
- 55:45Speaker 3: Obviously not. Only full-blooded can eat that shit.
- 55:49Speaker 9: Why would they want to?
- 55:51Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 55:51Speaker 2: My mom loves that shit.
- 55:52Speaker 9: Your mom's weird, but I love her because she makes
- 55:54Speaker 9: good egg rolls.
- 55:55Speaker 3: Yes, she does.
- 55:56Speaker 4: All right.
- 55:57Speaker 9: Is there anything else we can talk about this movie?
- 55:59Speaker 4: Oh, I think that's sort of wrapping it up. It
- 56:01Speaker 4: is awesome. We did it because, yeah, Jessica Alba kept
- 56:06Speaker 4: discussing the social and political aspect, which I think we've
- 56:09Speaker 4: actually touched upon. The one that we didn't is from
- 56:12Speaker 4: another crazy member of the crew, which is one of
- 56:14Speaker 4: the babysitter twins. I don't know the difference. It was
- 56:17Speaker 4: one of them.
- 56:18Speaker 9: Thing one and thing two?
- 56:19Speaker 4: Yeah, she came out and she went into this thing
- 56:22Speaker 4: about how awesome he is and how fun his movies
- 56:24Speaker 4: are and all that. And I'm like, yeah, I'm on board.
- 56:26Speaker 4: And then she finished it out with something like, and
- 56:29Speaker 4: in all of his movies we see He's teaching us
- 56:31Speaker 4: about love through violence.
- 56:34Speaker 2: That's awesome.
- 56:35Speaker 4: I was like, wait, what? I was like, I'm not
- 56:39Speaker 4: sure what you're saying, but I think it's wrong.
- 56:42Speaker 2: That's hot chick logic for you right there.
- 56:45Speaker 9: But she's not that hot.
- 56:46Speaker 4: Yeah, so she doesn't get the pass.
- 56:47Speaker 18: Oh, geez.
- 56:48Speaker 4: Whatever i just thought that was funny and i'm like
- 56:51Speaker 4: so i was waiting to see if there was some
- 56:52Speaker 4: sort of in the end you know love conquers all
- 56:55Speaker 4: kind of thing but i was like no he nails
- 56:57Speaker 4: a bunch of chicks does that count as love.
- 56:59Speaker 11: He gets the bitch in the end i guess you know.
- 57:01Speaker 4: I mean yeah in the end so but again that's
- 57:03Speaker 4: very more of the the you know cliche hollywood ending
- 57:06Speaker 4: of and then they ride off together kind of thing
- 57:08Speaker 4: whereas it's not like love conquered the main evil or
- 57:12Speaker 4: you know like the way that she was building it
- 57:14Speaker 4: up like in some way because i mean there's sort
- 57:17Speaker 4: of moments like that maybe in his career but they're
- 57:20Speaker 4: few and far between usually it's just about blowing shit
- 57:23Speaker 4: up and killing people and um yeah.
- 57:26Speaker 9: Booty and we did look at tacos after this movie
- 57:29Speaker 9: so it's a.
- 57:30Speaker 4: Good tie-in because we all wanted some of michelle rodriguez's
- 57:34Speaker 4: tacos we all saw her truck pull up and we
- 57:39Speaker 4: were like i want.
- 57:39Speaker 2: Some of that really.
- 57:43Speaker 4: You didn't even get tacos.
- 57:44Speaker 9: You went to McDonald's. Yeah.
- 57:46Speaker 4: Of all the gringo moves ever. Come on.
- 57:50Speaker 11: White boy.
- 57:51Speaker 4: Damn gringo. I can make fun of white people.
- 57:54Speaker 2: It's okay.
- 57:55Speaker 4: I can totally make fun of white people.
- 57:57Speaker 11: I'm totally fine with this.
- 57:58Speaker 9: Can I call anybody a honky?
- 58:00Speaker 2: Honky.
- 58:00Speaker 4: Feel free to. Although for a while people got mad
- 58:03Speaker 4: about that too.
- 58:03Speaker 9: I don't feel comfortable saying that. It's just a stupid word.
- 58:06Speaker 2: It's stupid as hell.
- 58:06Speaker 11: It just sucks.
- 58:08Speaker 3: White people get mad about saying honky?
- 58:10Speaker 4: I think for a while you would get in trouble
- 58:12Speaker 4: because you were like making fun of the fact that
- 58:16Speaker 4: black people would use that word about it. I'm just like, really?
- 58:18Speaker 4: I was like, what sort of roundabout bullshit is that?
- 58:21Speaker 9: I'd call somebody a cracker before I call them a honky.
- 58:24Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 58:24Speaker 4: Well, cracker sort of replaced honky. Honky was very 70s,
- 58:28Speaker 4: so you know. By the rap era, we became crackers.
- 58:31Speaker 9: And usually I called up with ass, whatever it is,
- 58:33Speaker 9: a cracker ass.
- 58:34Speaker 4: Cracker ass cracker.
- 58:35Speaker 9: Exactly. Anyways, tacos.
- 58:39Speaker 4: Tacos. So, yes, we had to celebrate.
- 58:41Speaker 9: And steak taquitos.
- 58:42Speaker 4: Go get tacos.
- 58:43Speaker 2: Somebody called me a cracker one time.
- 58:45Speaker 4: Half cracker.
- 58:47Speaker 2: Fortune cookie. What's wrong with you?
- 58:49Speaker 11: You're a wheat den.
- 58:49Speaker 2: Oh, fuck it.
- 58:53Speaker 4: Oh, shit. Fortune cookie.
- 58:57Speaker 9: That's why I like you.
- 58:58Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 58:59Speaker 8: Nom nom.
- 59:01Speaker 4: So yes, I'd say go see Machete and then go
- 59:03Speaker 4: get tacos.
- 59:04Speaker 3: Yes.
- 59:05Speaker 4: That's what I say. From Rochelle, rodriguez is.
- 59:07Speaker 9: Drunk yes i wanted to go to lolita's tacos.
- 59:10Speaker 4: Did you see at the uh at comic-con it was
- 59:13Speaker 4: right before this came out they actually had like a
- 59:16Speaker 4: huge bus painted up with all the like the the
- 59:18Speaker 4: artwork and stuff with machete and michelle rodriguez on the
- 59:21Speaker 4: side of the bus and they showed up and they
- 59:23Speaker 4: gave out tacos to people in front of comic-con real quick.
- 59:27Speaker 3: One fucking thing I forgot.
- 59:28Speaker 11: Did we miss it?
- 59:29Speaker 3: Yes, we missed it. During the first part of the movie,
- 59:32Speaker 3: as a day laborer, Danny Trejo gets a taco, or
- 59:35Speaker 3: actually a burrito, and proceeds to kick the shit out
- 59:38Speaker 3: of this guy by absolutely doing nothing but eating his
- 59:40Speaker 3: fucking burrito. The guy tries to fucking punch him, and
- 59:43Speaker 3: he's such a badass that he just kind of like
- 59:45Speaker 3: steps out of the way. He's eating his burrito. Got
- 59:47Speaker 3: punches again. He just steps out of the way, eats
- 59:48Speaker 3: his burrito.
- 59:50Speaker 9: The guy punches a steel rod.
- 59:52Speaker 2: Breaks his fucking arm.
- 59:54Speaker 4: I thought that was funny, though. He's such a badass,
- 59:56Speaker 4: he doesn't even have to stop eating his burrito to
- 59:59Speaker 4: kick your ass.
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: He did set down his coffee, but he didn't set
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: down the burrito.
- 1:00:03Speaker 4: I do like that they all have tacos and coffee.
- 1:00:06Speaker 10: Gross.
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: That's a staple, man.
- 1:00:07Speaker 4: It's a delicious mixture.
- 1:00:09Speaker 9: Minus the spit.
- 1:00:11Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm more partial to cappuccino and burritos, but that's
- 1:00:13Speaker 4: just me, you know? But, yep, I thought that was
- 1:00:15Speaker 4: kind of cool that they showed up. And it actually was.
- 1:00:18Speaker 4: Robert Rodriguez and Michelle Rodriguez, and they all kind of
- 1:00:21Speaker 4: showed up in the van and were handing out, like,
- 1:00:23Speaker 4: fucking tacos.
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: Was this at the San Diego Comic Con?
- 1:00:26Speaker 4: Yeah, at the big major Comic Con.
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: Oh, you know what I need now?
- 1:00:28Speaker 12: Uh-oh.
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: Choco Taco.
- 1:00:31Speaker 9: Dude, that would be delicious.
- 1:00:32Speaker 13: Nice.
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: Oh, they fucking did a Choco Taco.
- 1:00:34Speaker 15: Oh, my God.
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: Choco Taco.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: I am all good.
- 1:00:36Speaker 9: Did you go to Kroger and get me a Choco Taco?
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: So far. Okay.
- 1:00:39Speaker 4: This episode is sponsored by chocolate tacos please send us

- 1:01:07Speaker 2: It was like, yeah!
- 1:01:09Speaker 9: There was some fist pumps, too.
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: Yeah, there was.
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: Some fist pumps and woo-woos.
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: There was some clapping.
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: Oh, if Village 8 was only... Well, they are, but.
- 1:01:22Speaker 13: Can you imagine that at 50 Cent Night at a
- 1:01:23Speaker 13: dollar theater?
- 1:01:24Speaker 3: Oh, my God. That would be almost worth going to see.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 1:01:27Speaker 11: Just the spectacle that it would be. hopefully no laser pointers.
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: Though well especially when we get to the the border
- 1:01:34Speaker 4: landed on us that's funny too because how can you
- 1:01:40Speaker 4: take something as serious as a malcolm x beach and
- 1:01:44Speaker 4: rip it off and make fun of it i was
- 1:01:46Speaker 4: like see now there's somebody getting away with something right
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: there because that's fucking that was.
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: Hilarious jenna was acting jessica.
- 1:01:54Speaker 13: And her woodly it's god it's horrible her wooden acting
- 1:01:59Speaker 13: oh my god my fucking shoes could probably act better than.

- 1:02:24Speaker 13: Oh, no.
- 1:02:25Speaker 9: Let's wrap that one up like a burrito.
- 1:02:27Speaker 4: Like a burrito.
- 1:02:29Speaker 12: All right.
- 1:02:29Speaker 4: We will wrap it up like a burrito and take
- 1:02:32Speaker 4: a break and be back with the rest of the show.
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: No hable espanol.
- 1:02:36Speaker 15: Me too.
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: No hable ingles.
- 1:02:37Speaker 17: I don't want to have to learn the hard way.
- 1:02:41Speaker 9: I don't want to fall on the side.
- 1:02:44Speaker 12: While I keep on running off this good race.
- 1:02:48Speaker 9: I will testify.
- 1:02:51Speaker 17: I just wanna listen to your heartbeat. Tell your people, Lord,
- 1:02:56Speaker 17: you're still alive. There ain't nothing sweeter than your mercy.
- 1:03:02Speaker 17: I will testify.
- 1:03:28Speaker 13: Last call for refreshments, folks.
- 1:03:34Speaker 4: Go right this second to get something good to eat
- 1:03:36Speaker 4: and drink to enjoy now or during the rest of
- 1:03:38Speaker 4: the show.
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: I ain't in this for murder, you hear me? No
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: way that I'm in this for murder. There's some real
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: big money on the table. Smart man, he's gonna play
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: his cards right tight up against his chest. You're killing drivers.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: Don't tell me I don't know what I'm talking about.
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: Because if I don't know what I'm talking about, where's
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: the driver you took in there today?
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: Within every man, there are two men.
- 1:03:59Speaker 13: There's times when I feel like there's a whole other
- 1:04:02Speaker 13: person in there.
- 1:04:03Speaker 9: Just isn't the Charlie Smith that I married.
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: One who does what he's told to. Game's a little
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: different around here. Who does what he has to. I
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: don't care about your money.
- 1:04:12Speaker 7: Your life is going to be mine.
- 1:04:14Speaker 12: This is the only way I ever get involved in murder.
- 1:04:15Speaker 12: You understand what I'm saying to you?
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: Within every man, there is a difference. No, no, no, no, no. No, senor.
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: You don't owe me anything. Between what he sees is wrong.
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: I just left them on the other side with Adam's
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: apple all over his chest. And what he knows is right.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: Hold right there.
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: What do you want, boy?
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: I'm looking for that kid you took out the truck.
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: Within every man. There is a distance. I want to
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: feel good about something sometime. Between how far he's come.
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: We take care of business, Charlie. That's all we do.
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: We take care of business. And how far he'll go.
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: See this line? This line right here I don't cross.
- 1:04:53Speaker 9: This line right here.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: Within every man, there is a border. I need a
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: riot guard. Once he crosses it, there's no going back.
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: How you doing, Charlie? Charlie's never been better, Red. Jack Nicholson.
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: The Border. It divided the land. It divided the man.
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: Dear Mr.
- 1:05:16Speaker 5: Vernon, we accept the fact that we have to sacrifice
- 1:05:18Speaker 5: a few hours a week to podcast about whatever you

- 1:05:26Speaker 5: You see us as you want to see us, in
- 1:05:28Speaker 5: the simplest terms and the most convenient definitions. But what
- 1:05:31Speaker 5: we found out is that each of us is a
- 1:05:33Speaker 5: podcast about other podcasts.
- 1:05:35Speaker 11: A podcast about television.
- 1:05:37Speaker 9: A podcast about films.
- 1:05:39Speaker 15: A podcast about music.
- 1:05:40Speaker 3: A podcast about books. Does that answer your question?
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: Sincerely yours, The Podcast Podcast.

- 1:06:00Speaker 5: for us in the iTunes store by looking for me,
- 1:06:02Speaker 5: Fozzie Bear.
- 1:06:03Speaker 9: That's F-O-Z-Z-I-E-B-A-R-E.
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: Don't forget about me.
- 1:06:10Speaker 4: Don't, don't, don't, don't, don't you.
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: What's part of your problem?
- 1:06:18Speaker 15: You know, you haven't seen enough movies.
- 1:06:20Speaker 12: All of life's riddles.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: Are answered in the movies.
- 1:06:23Speaker 12: And now, on with the show.
- 1:06:24Speaker 13: On with the show.
- 1:06:57Speaker 12: All right.
- 1:07:12Speaker 4: We are back. And screw you guys. You don't get
- 1:07:14Speaker 4: any feedback.
- 1:07:15Speaker 13: No feedback.
- 1:07:16Speaker 9: No feedback.
- 1:07:17Speaker 4: So instead, I'm going to tell you where you can
- 1:07:18Speaker 4: go to leave other.
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: Interactions with us.
- 1:07:21Speaker 8: Awesome.
- 1:07:21Speaker 4: Where they can go. Yeah, they need to go there
- 1:07:23Speaker 4: because they don't send anything in.
- 1:07:25Speaker 12: But.
- 1:07:26Speaker 4: Instead, I'm going to tell them about the fact that
- 1:07:28Speaker 4: we haven't mentioned this because pretty much every other show
- 1:07:31Speaker 4: was talking about it at the time, so I just
- 1:07:33Speaker 4: sort of left it alone. But the old message boards
- 1:07:36Speaker 4: that we used to have are no longer around. We
- 1:07:40Speaker 4: have ceased and desist with that one. And we've all
- 1:07:43Speaker 4: sort of, all of our little shows in that family
- 1:07:45Speaker 4: that were on the same message board there have moved
- 1:07:48Speaker 4: to our own place now. So we've set up our
- 1:07:50Speaker 4: own shop, and it is, I'll just spell it for you.
- 1:07:56Speaker 4: So in case you have to go there, it is palavr.com.
- 1:08:02Speaker 4: So if you go there, we have our own Movie
- 1:08:04Speaker 4: Meltdown message boards going, which we've already started. And I
- 1:08:09Speaker 4: threw one out there just for people's response on the Apple,
- 1:08:12Speaker 4: which we've gotten some of already. So we've had people
- 1:08:15Speaker 4: telling their stories of how they were exposed to the Apple.
- 1:08:20Speaker 4: Where they were. And, yeah, how it changed their lives.
- 1:08:24Speaker 4: When did you see the Apple? yep so we've definitely
- 1:08:27Speaker 4: got several on that one and then we got another
- 1:08:30Speaker 4: one that actually Randy started the other day aww Randy
- 1:08:34Speaker 4: and it's pretty awesome I have to say in case
- 1:08:37Speaker 4: anybody hasn't seen it I'll throw out there and this
- 1:08:40Speaker 4: was a good idea and I think it will definitely
- 1:08:42Speaker 4: lead to some interesting conversations he put it out there
- 1:08:45Speaker 4: as who is your favorite unsung supporting character so everybody
- 1:08:50Speaker 4: go find I picked somebody and then since then who
- 1:08:53Speaker 4: did you pick? they should go there and find out
- 1:08:56Speaker 4: for themselves.
- 1:08:57Speaker 9: I want an example. I want like.
- 1:08:59Speaker 4: i went with um al leong l-e-o-n-g who for starting
- 1:09:07Speaker 4: in the 80s all the way up till now if
- 1:09:09Speaker 4: you needed a shifty looking asian mercenary or just somebody
- 1:09:15Speaker 4: to look like a badass to hang around um he
- 1:09:18Speaker 4: would be the guy from die hard he's the asian
- 1:09:21Speaker 4: guy he's uh yeah he's got good long hair in
- 1:09:24Speaker 4: the goatee he's in every movie was.
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: He the one who played the mongol and uh bill
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: and ted's.
- 1:09:29Speaker 4: Yeah he's in bill and ted he's in rapid fire
- 1:09:32Speaker 4: he's in rapid fire he's in escape from la he's
- 1:09:35Speaker 4: in the shadow he's.
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: An He's an awesome martial artist. He's awesome.
- 1:09:38Speaker 3: Yeah, he's always the go-to bad guy. Kind of like
- 1:09:40Speaker 3: the Shang Tsung character.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:09:42Speaker 3: Whatever that guy's name is. I can't remember. He's been
- 1:09:44Speaker 3: in a lot of movies, too.
- 1:09:45Speaker 4: Yeah, so I thought that was actually a really cool
- 1:09:47Speaker 4: idea that he came up with. Sort of pick your
- 1:09:50Speaker 4: favorite person that's awesome but will always sort of be
- 1:09:53Speaker 4: overlooked and just get sort of a... shoved to the
- 1:09:57Speaker 4: side with supporting characters, but consistently awesome.
- 1:10:00Speaker 13: I like Matthew McGorry. Would he fit in that category?
- 1:10:04Speaker 13: He was always one of the side characters, but never
- 1:10:06Speaker 13: a main character.
- 1:10:08Speaker 3: He was always your kind of go-to guy for if
- 1:10:10Speaker 3: you needed the weird mutant.
- 1:10:12Speaker 9: Freakishly tall.
- 1:10:13Speaker 3: That was going to kill people.
- 1:10:14Speaker 13: I was just trying to get that right idea because.
- 1:10:17Speaker 9: I don't have a good brain.
- 1:10:18Speaker 4: So I say go post that on there. As everyone
- 1:10:21Speaker 4: else should.
- 1:10:22Speaker 9: I like Matthew McGorry. Too bad I killed him.
- 1:10:26Speaker 4: We're not even going to start on that. So, yeah,
- 1:10:30Speaker 4: I just, yeah, I thought it was cool that they
- 1:10:32Speaker 4: are now up and running, so we're putting the word out.
- 1:10:34Speaker 4: I posted it on our Facebook page and Twitter, but
- 1:10:37Speaker 4: just in case you haven't come across it, yeah, you
- 1:10:39Speaker 4: can go to our message boards now, and I am
- 1:10:41Speaker 4: going to put the link directly from MovieMeltdown.com as well
- 1:10:45Speaker 4: as the old.
- 1:10:46Speaker 3: One used to be. Does that mean we have to
- 1:10:48Speaker 3: get on there?
- 1:10:49Speaker 4: Yes, yes, it does.
- 1:10:50Speaker 8: We do?
- 1:10:50Speaker 9: Never got on the old site.
- 1:10:51Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm not really internet savvy.
- 1:10:54Speaker 9: Oh, bitch, please. You sit there on forums all damn day.
- 1:10:56Speaker 3: That's different. That's motorcycle forums.
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: There's a bunch of people that say motorcycle forums.
- 1:11:00Speaker 4: Just post stuff about motorcycles on this one. Because he
- 1:11:02Speaker 4: already liked that first week.
- 1:11:03Speaker 9: Have a post about your favorite motorcycles in movies.
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: There you go.
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: Oh, okay. Yeah, all right.
- 1:11:08Speaker 9: Sounds good. You're totally not going to do that.
- 1:11:11Speaker 12: No.
- 1:11:12Speaker 4: But otherwise, yes, go check out our new forums section
- 1:11:15Speaker 4: and post lots of cool stuff on there. Right after
- 1:11:18Speaker 4: you write us an email.
- 1:11:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: Slack ass.
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: Or call us for something.
- 1:11:23Speaker 9: Bitches.
- 1:11:26Speaker 13: I played the game of the room, for God's sake.
- 1:11:28Speaker 13: Somebody should call in and give us feedback for that,
- 1:11:30Speaker 13: if nothing else.
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: Oh, Lord.
- 1:11:34Speaker 9: You know who I'm talking to out there.
- 1:11:36Speaker 4: Yeah, but we actually hear from them. I'm talking about
- 1:11:38Speaker 4: all the rest of the slackers.
- 1:11:40Speaker 9: I know, and I'm not really talking shit.
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: They're awesome.
- 1:11:44Speaker 9: That movie just sucks. Don't be shy. Just let your
- 1:11:50Speaker 9: feelings roll on by.
- 1:11:53Speaker 15: Don't be shy. We'd like to hear from you. So
- 1:11:58Speaker 15: give us a call at 502-365-5565. Or you can email
- 1:12:01Speaker 15: us at geeksatmoviemeltdown.com. And just stop by the website for
- 1:12:04Speaker 15: our frequent updates. That's moviemeltdown.com.
- 1:12:09Speaker 13: Is it time for the countdown?
- 1:12:17Speaker 4: I believe it is.
- 1:12:19Speaker 9: Aw, hell, give me that countdown. I want to know
- 1:12:21Speaker 9: how many more days we got.
- 1:12:22Speaker 4: Sharktopus countdown!
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: Sharktopus.
- 1:12:31Speaker 15: I've got a picture called Sharktopus, which comes out September
- 1:12:35Speaker 15: 25th on the Sci-Fi Channel.
- 1:12:37Speaker 11: All right, Misty.
- 1:12:37Speaker 13: 20 days, 2 hours, 29 minutes, and 47 seconds.
- 1:12:42Speaker 9: Woo!
- 1:12:43Speaker 4: Into the premiere of Sharktopus.
- 1:12:46Speaker 11: The illustrious Sharktopus.
- 1:12:48Speaker 4: And our epic Sharktopus premiere coverage that will be going on.
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: It's going to be awesome.
- 1:12:53Speaker 4: Hell yeah.
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: Hell yeah.
- 1:12:58Speaker 11: Yes, multi-talented.
- 1:12:59Speaker 3: Multi-tendrils.
- 1:13:00Speaker 11: Tendrils, yes.
- 1:13:03Speaker 3: The infamous. He's more than famous. He is infamous.
- 1:13:07Speaker 9: He can fucking walk and growl for God's sakes. Come
- 1:13:10Speaker 9: on now. God, I love Roger Corman. He's awesome.
- 1:13:12Speaker 4: He is awesome. Okay, kids, get out your Dakota pins.
- 1:13:16Speaker 16: Wow.
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: Wow.
- 1:13:21Speaker 4: That's quite the theme we had here.
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: I could tell that tonight's message was really important.
- 1:13:26Speaker 4: Yeah, I think you better copyright that quick before somebody
- 1:13:29Speaker 4: scams up on your theme.
- 1:13:30Speaker 9: Kanye West is going to steal that shit right there.
- 1:13:32Speaker 4: If anybody will, shifty bastard. Okay, kids, it is time
- 1:13:37Speaker 4: for the Movie Meltdown Secret Circle reveal of the next
- 1:13:39Speaker 4: two features that we might not even change.
- 1:13:43Speaker 11: It's time.
- 1:13:44Speaker 9: Maybe.
- 1:13:45Speaker 4: If we play our cards right, if we're very careful,
- 1:13:49Speaker 4: we might not change it up. I was looking at
- 1:13:51Speaker 4: the calendar. I thought we already fucked it up. Because
- 1:13:53Speaker 4: we're almost running into Sharktopus. So I thought we'd fucked
- 1:13:55Speaker 4: it up. But I think if we play it right,
- 1:13:59Speaker 4: I think we're cool. And that would mean that next
- 1:14:01Speaker 4: week is, once again, heading back out into the world.
- 1:14:06Speaker 4: Only this time with cheesy 3D glasses on.
- 1:14:08Speaker 13: Yes.
- 1:14:09Speaker 4: Resident Evil.
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: Hell yeah.
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: Afterlife.
- 1:14:12Speaker 9: Mila in 3D. I was like, is that bitch going
- 1:14:14Speaker 9: to come after my man in 3D? Because I'm going
- 1:14:16Speaker 9: to have to kick her ass. I don't care.
- 1:14:17Speaker 11: I'm going to be stoked.
- 1:14:18Speaker 4: I think people would pay extra to see that.
- 1:14:20Speaker 14: Hell yeah.
- 1:14:20Speaker 4: Misty taking on Mila in a death match.
- 1:14:23Speaker 9: Oh, she's got swords. I got a gun though, so.
- 1:14:27Speaker 4: I think at times she has guns too.
- 1:14:29Speaker 9: I got two.
- 1:14:29Speaker 11: And there are many, many of her in this apparently.
- 1:14:32Speaker 4: Oh, then you're in trouble. She's going to surround you.
- 1:14:34Speaker 4: She's going to cheat.
- 1:14:36Speaker 9: My head's so big.
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: Surround and beat you down.
- 1:14:39Speaker 4: Your ego will take her out. Exactly.
- 1:14:42Speaker 9: I'll just tilt my head and squash her.
- 1:14:47Speaker 4: So, yes, next week we will head out into the
- 1:14:49Speaker 4: world to see the new fancy Resident Evil in three.
- 1:14:53Speaker 13: Which is going to be awesome since it's actually shot
- 1:14:55Speaker 13: for 3D.
- 1:14:56Speaker 8: Yes.
- 1:14:57Speaker 9: From what I heard, every scene is shot with 3D.
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: Awesome.
- 1:15:01Speaker 4: It does make a difference.
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:15:03Speaker 4: As we've learned with all the conversions and up-converting and
- 1:15:07Speaker 4: all that bullshit, which never works out.
- 1:15:09Speaker 11: It ain't the same.
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: No.
- 1:15:10Speaker 4: It is not.
- 1:15:12Speaker 9: This one specifically sets out to be awesome.
- 1:15:15Speaker 8: Yes.
- 1:15:15Speaker 3: There is no taint about it.
- 1:15:16Speaker 9: That's what she said.
- 1:15:20Speaker 4: That's what Milo said.
- 1:15:21Speaker 7: Anyway.
- 1:15:22Speaker 4: So we will find out next week.
- 1:15:23Speaker 13: And I like that she's looking hot again in this movie.
- 1:15:25Speaker 13: Because when I watched Perfect Getaway, she wasn't looking so good.
- 1:15:27Speaker 13: She had stupid bangs.
- 1:15:28Speaker 4: I like her hair in this one.
- 1:15:29Speaker 3: She's just a normal person.
- 1:15:30Speaker 4: I like her hair, though.
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: She has cool hair.
- 1:15:31Speaker 9: She had stupid bangs in Perfect Getaway.
- 1:15:33Speaker 4: But now she has cool hair.
- 1:15:34Speaker 9: Is it Perfect Getaway?
- 1:15:35Speaker 3: Is that what it was? Yeah, it's Perfect Getaway.
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: Steve's on.
- 1:15:37Speaker 9: Okay, because her second hair, I was picturing her with
- 1:15:39Speaker 9: a bald one or something. No, that's The Getaway.
- 1:15:42Speaker 3: The Getaway.
- 1:15:44Speaker 13: See, I have these fucking bald ones on my head.
- 1:15:46Speaker 13: But anyways, yeah, she's got her hair different again.
- 1:15:48Speaker 9: It's all hot. It's all good.
- 1:15:50Speaker 4: Alrighty, so we'll see Hot Mila. And the following week,
- 1:15:55Speaker 4: we will, again, if we keep it on the right track,
- 1:16:00Speaker 4: we will come back around to the previously mentioned Night
- 1:16:04Speaker 4: of the Creeps special episode.
- 1:16:06Speaker 13: Have we got any feedback for that one yet?
- 1:16:09Speaker 4: No, nobody gives us feedback.
- 1:16:10Speaker 9: Well, then, why am I fucking worried about it taking
- 1:16:13Speaker 9: so long?
- 1:16:14Speaker 12: Nobody's calling.
- 1:16:14Speaker 4: That's what I'm saying. If nobody has any problems with that,
- 1:16:17Speaker 4: or you've also had a month of extra time to
- 1:16:20Speaker 4: give us your thoughts on Night of the Creeps.
- 1:16:22Speaker 15: Yeah, right?
- 1:16:22Speaker 11: See?
- 1:16:22Speaker 4: So far, you're dragging your feet, so screw all that.
- 1:16:26Speaker 9: Start calling out everybody that should be calling and leaving
- 1:16:28Speaker 9: us feedback.
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying.
- 1:16:29Speaker 8: Randy.
- 1:16:30Speaker 13: Randy.
- 1:16:31Speaker 4: Randy's working on one. He sent me a message that
- 1:16:34Speaker 4: he's in the middle of working on an epic one
- 1:16:35Speaker 4: that's going to be even more awesome than the last one.
- 1:16:38Speaker 9: Who else usually gives us feedback that's not been calling
- 1:16:40Speaker 9: in lately?
- 1:16:41Speaker 4: Demise.
- 1:16:42Speaker 9: She's not been calling in and giving us no feedback.
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:16:46Speaker 4: Again, I'm looking more towards all the other people that
- 1:16:49Speaker 4: are slacking off or have never called in. Most people
- 1:16:52Speaker 4: are embarrassed.
- 1:16:53Speaker 11: They don't want to hear their voice.
- 1:16:54Speaker 4: Then send us an email. I don't want to hear
- 1:16:55Speaker 4: my voice. Yeah, it's not stopping her from talking every week.
- 1:16:58Speaker 11: It would be cool to hear us, you know, breed
- 1:17:00Speaker 11: your smack talk.
- 1:17:01Speaker 9: You won't let me not do the show. That's what
- 1:17:03Speaker 9: keeps me.
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: From not talking.
- 1:17:06Speaker 4: You're doing it and you're going to like it.
- 1:17:08Speaker 9: Obviously.
- 1:17:09Speaker 4: All your adoring fans.
- 1:17:13Speaker 12: All right.
- 1:17:13Speaker 9: I'm my biggest adoring fan.
- 1:17:15Speaker 4: That's true. But the rest of you should call in
- 1:17:17Speaker 4: and tell her that she's awesome. So she'll show up
- 1:17:20Speaker 4: every once in a while.
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: See?
- 1:17:22Speaker 9: I showed up.
- 1:17:22Speaker 4: That's what I'm saying. You got to keep feeding her ego.
- 1:17:25Speaker 13: I showed up for a good solid almost a year.
- 1:17:28Speaker 13: I showed up for almost every episode for a year.
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: Oh, either way.
- 1:17:34Speaker 4: So that is it for the next weeks.
- 1:17:37Speaker 14: Yay.
- 1:17:38Speaker 11: It's going to be bad. They're both awesome flicks.
- 1:17:40Speaker 9: And we'll probably be here.
- 1:17:41Speaker 8: Yes.
- 1:17:43Speaker 9: I'll definitely be here next week.
- 1:17:45Speaker 3: Awesome.
- 1:17:46Speaker 12: Wicked.
- 1:17:46Speaker 8: All right.
- 1:17:48Speaker 4: I guess we can fire up some sort of machete
- 1:17:50Speaker 4: theme here.
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: There's the machete theme in here.
- 1:17:57Speaker 4: They were the ones who composed that one. They're usually
- 1:18:00Speaker 4: responsible for all the Robert Rodriguez music, and they are awesome. Otherwise,
- 1:18:05Speaker 4: that about does it. We will return next week. Same
- 1:18:07Speaker 4: geek time, same geek feed. Thanks for listening.
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: Word. In the deserts of Torreón For.
- 1:18:13Speaker 18: A full moon night Seven bastards arrived Looking for good
- 1:18:22Speaker 18: blood My mother fell.
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: My brothers fell.
- 1:18:37Speaker 8: Mi Padre, murió mi sangre.
- 1:18:41Speaker 18: Mi sangre por un machete.
- 1:20:11Speaker 8: Guitar solo guitar solo Vengen, mi sangre, mi mar.
- 1:20:59Speaker 7: We didn't cross the border!
- 1:21:16Speaker 2: The border crossed us!
