- 0:01The gold price has surpassed $2500 per oz.
- 0:05In this video, we will be taking the blindfold off the gold bear.
- 0:11We'll do that a little bit later in the video.
- 0:13But first I want to introduce today's guest.
- 0:15We got a number of people who are joining us now and a number
- 0:18more who will be joining us shortly.
- 0:20We have Daniel Diaz, the Executive Director of Citizens
- 0:24for Sound Money. We have Jake from Jake's Custom
- 0:27Parts, a legendary and well known figure in the gold and
- 0:31silver community and of course the one and only Coin shop.
- 0:34Chris from the Coin Shop Chris YouTube channel and long time
- 0:39supporter of Ron's Basement. Guys, welcome to Ron's Basement.
- 0:43Hey, Ron, thank you for having us on.
- 0:45Thanks, Ron. You're welcome, guys.
- 0:49You're welcome. And thanks to everybody who's
- 0:50joining us for this, a momentous occasion of taking the the
- 0:55blindfold off the bear. Can we believe that we hit $2500
- 0:59gold? We were talking before we came.
- 1:01I went live that it was just October of last year, what, 8-9
- 1:07months ago that we had $1800 gold.
- 1:10And people scoffed at us when we talked about the prospects for
- 1:13$2500 gold. But here we are.
- 1:16So in this video, we're going to talk about a couple key things.
- 1:19Where do we think gold could go from here?
- 1:22But also what about the little brother silver?
- 1:26Will silver hit its all time highs right?
- 1:28Last time we saw silver at $50 was 2011.
- 1:33Why don't we start with with Daniel?
- 1:35Daniel, what do you what do you see when you think about the
- 1:38gold price in the in the coming months?
- 1:41I think gold is going to go on a major bull run.
- 1:45I think that 2500 is just a start.
- 1:47If we're looking at the futures right now, the gold is at 2546
- 1:53and holding. And with everything, if we're
- 1:56looking at the macroeconomic situation of our country, we
- 2:00have 75 basis points being dropped on the interest by the
- 2:04Fed in September. It's going to happen again in
- 2:06October. That's going to shock the market
- 2:08and I think that's going to be the the feather that brings the
- 2:12entire, all the markets down, real estate stock market and,
- 2:15and the debt markets. And if you know, I'm a big fan
- 2:19of bad North star, bad charts. You know, they have some great
- 2:24analysis on gold and silver and you know, I don't know if you
- 2:27wanted to pull that up. Yeah, let me let me let me pull
- 2:30that up and let me remind everyone as well at about the
- 2:33about the 10 minute mark is when 1015 minute mark is when we're
- 2:36going to remove the blindfold from the bear.
- 2:39I want to make sure everybody who's joining us knows that
- 2:42we're just going to wait for some people to join us.
- 2:44But is this the chart that you that you this is the?
- 2:46Chart and they did this chart I think five years ago and it it
- 2:51played out exactly as they planned.
- 2:54If you look on the chart, I think yeah, they have it going
- 2:59up to 2660 in the short term. But if you look at that green
- 3:04line up there, it says estimated path three-year moving average.
- 3:09They expect it to continue going up and that arrow is going up to
- 3:12$9000. Now if you look at another chart
- 3:15that they did on gold compared to the stock market, 140 years
- 3:21of U.S. stocks priced in gold, it kind of matches up the the
- 3:26the long term bull market that we're going to have.
- 3:29If you wanted to pull that one up to.
- 3:30Show the is that? Is that this one here that one?
- 3:34So we have had four, well really three big bull markets over the
- 3:38last 140 years. 1931 the first gold and silver bull market
- 3:44started, you see that in the bottom left and it peaked in
- 3:471935. We're looking four years of gold
- 3:50and silver bull market. Then again, we got a Bretton
- 3:52Woods in 1971 and the gold and silver bull market started again
- 3:57and it peaked in nine years later in 1979.
- 4:01Another bull market happened in 2004 and it ended.
- 4:06The peak of gold and silver ended in 2011.
- 4:09Now it's happening again. The indicators of the stock
- 4:14market and and gold ratios are getting to that point and look
- 4:19at the and look at the years going up to 2028, we could have
- 4:23another four to five years of a bull market in gold and silver.
- 4:29It's, it's exciting to, to, to think about the prospect.
- 4:32You know, I was, I was looking earlier today, not many people
- 4:38want to talk about a bear market in the dollar.
- 4:40But if you look at that 2001 to 2011 bear market in the dollar
- 4:46in the US dollar is at historic high levels.
- 4:49Gold went up from like $250 all the way to 1800 during that
- 4:53period, right? And silver went from five $5 in
- 4:582001 all the way to $50 per ounce of 10X in 2011.
- 5:03So thank you. Thank you for your, your
- 5:05thoughts. Hey, Jake, what are you, what
- 5:07are you feeling for the gold price here as we as we head into
- 5:10the coming, let's say couple years?
- 5:14Yeah, I think it's going to work out great for gold.
- 5:16I've always been a big fan of gold.
- 5:18I think the next price target should be looking at about 27127
- 5:23ten, something around that for the next move up.
- 5:28Yeah, I think the next couple years going to be great.
- 5:30And remember I try to tell people even though the markets
- 5:32sound and look OK right now, we haven't even gotten to bricks
- 5:37yet. So all this movement the last
- 5:39four months and all this is just kind of steady flow.
- 5:42We're already beating bonds, we're getting close to beating
- 5:46the S&P. And once we saw see a pullback
- 5:49in stocks, you're really going to see money start moving into
- 5:52physical gold and silver. And then hopefully you guys are
- 5:55holding on to miners. You'll see some new money, new
- 5:58money come in to the miners. Yeah, yeah, Thank you, Jake and
- 6:04coin shop Chris here. Before we start the process of
- 6:08removing the blindfold from the bear, what are your thoughts on
- 6:12gold and silver? I know you follow it ultra
- 6:14closely on a daily basis. How how do you see things
- 6:17playing out here in the in the? Next.
- 6:19Well, you know, I, I got to agree with the rest of the boys
- 6:22here, Ron. I mean, you, you know, I'm kind
- 6:25of surprised we're at gold at 2500 now.
- 6:28I did not think that was going to be going to happen till after
- 6:32the Fed cut in Sept, in September.
- 6:34But look, we got gold. We lost you.
- 6:40That's are you there. Go ahead. 3032 point O 4% and we
- 6:46got silver up $6.55. That's a net gain of 29 point O
- 6:517%. I think from now until they cut
- 6:55rates and after they cut rates, you're going to see gold and
- 6:58silver really take off. And can we see $9000 gold?
- 7:03Yeah, the next couple years, I do believe that.
- 7:05Could we see triple digit silver?
- 7:08Very possible. Yeah, you know, yeah.
- 7:10And you know what, Chris? It's it's, I want to point out
- 7:14or repeat one more time. Like we say 9000, we say $10,000
- 7:18gold and people think you're crazy, right?
- 7:20Well, they thought we were crazy when we said $2500 gold back in
- 7:24October. But you know, that's a four,
- 7:26that's a four times a 4X for gold to get to 10,000.
- 7:30It did a 6X from 2001 to 2011. So it's not like it's, you know,
- 7:37there isn't precedence for these types of gains to occur
- 7:42throughout throughout the history, recent history with the
- 7:44gold and silver price. So it's going to be it's going
- 7:47to be fun to watch how things play out.
- 7:50So we're at four O 8. What do you guys say?
- 7:51I think we're going to go longer here.
- 7:53We're going to have John Little from the silver Academy joining
- 7:56us. He's going to give us his
- 7:57specific thoughts on when silver's going to get new all
- 8:00time highs. But up up.
- 8:01You know what, hold on here, guys, and I apologize to
- 8:05everybody. There he is.
- 8:06Let's bring John on. What the heck hold?
- 8:09On here. Hey, John.
- 8:11So I met Daniel just now and then.
- 8:14Hey, I see. Is that a Vince Lancey T-shirt?
- 8:16I see. What's?
- 8:17You got it, John. Hey.
- 8:18Yeah, VBL's ghost baby. Oh yeah, he's the best known,
- 8:22but no one is better than Ron. He's got energy.
- 8:26I remember when he said I'm going to do one podcast today
- 8:30for a year and you ended up doing 2 years I.
- 8:34Mean now I'm in my third year. I need to do that with some kind
- 8:37of diet and like I could be like, well anyway, let's talk
- 8:42about silver. I have a crazy number that's
- 8:45just based on Jim Rickards recently talked about $27,000
- 8:50gold. And the reason he's doing that,
- 8:52he's tying that to the M1 money supply.
- 8:55And then just you take the divide that by what US says it
- 9:00has in gold and you solve the debt crisis.
- 9:03You can solve the $35 trillion debt just by re evaluating gold
- 9:08and then I came up with 2 1/2 percent of the gold price to
- 9:13come up with like a $600.00 silver.
- 9:16I know that sounds absurd, but Ron, we got to remember it's
- 9:19about 50 years ago that Nixon shut the gold window.
- 9:22It went from 35 bucks to 2500 yesterday.
- 9:27In 53 years. That's 174 X move and you know,
- 9:33so it's conceivable we'll see during a bull run, silver and
- 9:37gold can go up to do you guys ever see that guy Grata he on
- 9:42Twitter and he does those 3 phases of the bull runs and it's
- 9:46usually it's violent when it occurs.
- 9:49And silver and gold have been chopping sideways forever, what,
- 9:52at least five years, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 9:54But think about when it comes to silver, John, I'll repeat it for
- 9:58the third time. From 2001 to 2011, during the
- 10:02last bear market in the US dollar, silver went from $5 to
- 10:06$50. Silver went up 10 times.
- 10:09I mean, that wasn't that long ago.
- 10:11So, so to think that, you know, silver could, if silver went up,
- 10:15and I'm not saying that it will, but it could go up 10 times from
- 10:20where we are right now, we'd be looking at $300.00 silver.
- 10:22Exactly, and let's add to this very important fact.
- 10:25Most people forget that yes, silver and gold have been money
- 10:29for well let's let's just say 2500 years.
- 10:32The first coins of Lydia during the Peloponnesian War is 500 BC.
- 10:37It's that famous al coin from the mines of Lorian Sparta
- 10:41versus Athens. So let's say 2500 years.
- 10:45But you got to remember silver is an industrial metal.
- 10:47This is only come in since the industrial revolution.
- 10:51We didn't have electricity in the 1600s, the 1700s, the the
- 10:55current wars, Tesla versus Edison, that that happened only
- 10:59about 100 years ago. So now we have these new uses
- 11:02for silver, for conductivity, reflectivity, solar generation,
- 11:10weapons. Everything comes from the
- 11:11military. That's the Internet started from
- 11:14the military. Crypto started from the
- 11:16military, rockets started in the military, you know, jets,
- 11:21everything that that it's basically it's subsidized
- 11:24research and development for the private sector.
- 11:27That's what they call technology transfer.
- 11:29So now in a perfect storm, we're seeing all these new uses for
- 11:33silver that weren't around 100 years ago.
- 11:37And meanwhile there's no new silver discoveries.
- 11:39And Mexico is just last week they're passing a law banning
- 11:45open pit mining. It's the only way you can mine
- 11:48silver economically because the ore grade is so shitty now.
- 11:53It used to be me, you Rod. We could have our pickaxe and a
- 11:56wheelbarrow and out of every ton we'd get 40 ounces of silver.
- 12:01Now you're lucky to get 1. So it's it's like dust.
- 12:04So you ban open pit mining it it's and you know, the
- 12:08politicians in Mexico are smart. They're they got their hand out.
- 12:11They're saying we want more money from these Canadian
- 12:13investors. You know your Fortunas and your
- 12:16and they're good companies, but, and they do have a lot of silver
- 12:20underground, but they're going to make them.
- 12:22They're going to nationalize silver.
- 12:23I know that's a rumor, but it's been substantiated.
- 12:26Anyone can follow the Department of Secretary of Environment
- 12:30Maria Luisa Alvarez Gonzalez. She's on Twitter.
- 12:33She's talking about this grassroots movement of peasants,
- 12:37environmentalists, intellectuals, campesinos,
- 12:41agricultural workers, and they don't want to let N Americans
- 12:46rob them of their silver. That is their national treasure.
- 12:49So. Yeah.
- 12:50I'm just saying dwindling supply, spiking demand, these AI
- 12:55data centers are just going to gobble up what's last energy.
- 12:58There is, and there's still no better conductor of of any of
- 13:03the energy besides silver. And, and, and all those factors
- 13:07you just mentioned, if you look at the last two times that we
- 13:10hit $50.00 and silver, 2011 and 1980, whether you're looking at
- 13:15the supply factors that you mentioned, the dwindling supply
- 13:19or the demand factors, all this new to, I, I think it's safe to
- 13:22say that the, the, the factors that are in play now are much
- 13:26more critical and exaggerated than what we saw back then.
- 13:31And I want to pull up and, and right before and next thing
- 13:34we're going to do guys is take the, take the blindfold off the
- 13:37bear. But I want to, I want to show a
- 13:39chart that I'll that I think really drive home with John just
- 13:42talked about. And if I have it right, that's
- 13:45the 16 ounces of silver we're giving away on August 31st.
- 13:49There's a link to where you can get on the giveaway in the
- 13:51description of this video. There it is right there that
- 13:55that shows all the world silver where it comes from.
- 13:57And that big BLOB right there is Mexico.
- 14:01I mean, really literally almost twice as much as anybody else.
- 14:05And it's already going down, right, John?
- 14:07The amount of silver's down. For sure.
- 14:09The ore grade, it's just all about the ore grade.
- 14:12Like I said, per ton used to be one that long ago a ton of what
- 14:17we would call just raw grade, we could get 40 oz out of a ton and
- 14:22now it's under, it's about one ounce.
- 14:25So it's gone that the ore grade's horrible.
- 14:28That's why. That's why the good miners talk
- 14:30about I we have high grade. Not one of them will.
- 14:34They all say they have high grade.
- 14:36The the low hanging fruit. Is it safe to say the low
- 14:39hanging fruit when it comes to silver is gone?
- 14:41I know it's Trooper Gold as well.
- 14:42For sure. Yeah, this happened with every
- 14:45single, even coal at one point. That's what crashed England's
- 14:51economy when the grade got deteriorated to where it's.
- 14:55It's no different than oil. Steve Saint Angelo talks about
- 14:57it better than anyone else when he talks about the, what is it?
- 15:03The Permian Basin is Midland, Odessa, Hobbs, and then there's
- 15:06North Dakota. That's the Bakken formation.
- 15:09The the, the, the crude grade is so bad that the energy you have
- 15:14to put in, it's called the energy return on energy.
- 15:17Invested oil should be twice. You think silver's manipulated
- 15:22oil should be twice the price that it is, which is only going
- 15:25to drive the price of silver higher?
- 15:26Yeah, and there's a lot of energy that goes into digging
- 15:31one of these out of the ground, right?
- 15:33I mean, a lot of energy. I know bald, bald guy, money.
- 15:37When we talk, he likes to remind me that these are energy.
- 15:41Their batteries, they don't store electricity, but these
- 15:43Silver Oz store store a lot of energy, a lot of previous work.
- 15:47That I just wrote a story on Samsung's new battery kills the
- 15:51lithium ion. All right, the lithium ion in a
- 15:54Tesla, you only get 300 mile range with the Samsung silver
- 15:58battery, 600 miles. So they doubled the range.
- 16:01Yeah. The charge time on a on a
- 16:03lithium is 35 minutes. This is cut down in 9 minutes.
- 16:08OK then the lifespan instead of being 5 to 10 years is like 20
- 16:12years. So now you got double the life.
- 16:15Cut your charge time in half and it's it weighs a shit ton less.
- 16:19There's those are like 1500 lbs in a Tesla.
- 16:23It's all battery weight. But John, John, you're missing
- 16:27the the the kicker, the big the most important part about that
- 16:31new battery. What is it?
- 16:33It's silver. Yeah.
- 16:36So when you said you held the thing and you said I know it's
- 16:39not a store of energy, it actually is.
- 16:41Yeah. Silver zinc batteries.
- 16:43That's how you can't switch out a lithium battery underwater
- 16:47like in a torpedo or submarine, because that's why you saw
- 16:52Tesla's exploding during the hurricane season.
- 16:55Water does not mix with lithium and ion.
- 16:59It's got to be a silver zinc battery.
- 17:02That's why it works in the Torpedo so well.
- 17:04But but these is it and I'm reading different estimates, but
- 17:07these new batteries that could be used in EVs that Samsung's
- 17:11developed that you just referred to, what I'm hearing is they
- 17:14could they would require up to as much as one kilogram of one.
- 17:18Kilogram per per car and which I think is really low estimate
- 17:22because again, I told you that the weight of a battery is over
- 17:271500 lbs. So just one kilo of that being
- 17:30silver, that's pretty damn efficient.
- 17:33But and and you don't think the consumers going to have a vote
- 17:36on that to say I'd rather have the battery that goes twice as
- 17:39far and and takes no time to charge 10 minutes and I get
- 17:45double the life. Pretty soon you're going to see
- 17:47Tesla's just pulled over to the side of the road because there
- 17:50it's made more expensive to change the battery out than the
- 17:53value of the car. That's why there is no, I mean,
- 17:56and and they're storing them. Just just go to the Silver
- 17:59Academy. We have pictures.
- 18:00Of yeah, I want to, I want to mention right now when I go
- 18:03back, as we have almost 600 people with us, do a
- 18:05reintroduction of who's with us today.
- 18:07We have John Little from the Silver Academy, the Silver
- 18:10Academy Substack, He puts out an excellent piece of journalistic
- 18:15work on a daily basis. It's free.
- 18:18There are some paid options, but the free free option as well.
- 18:23There's a link to his sub stack in the description of this
- 18:26video. We have coin shop Chris, coin
- 18:29shop Chris YouTube channel coin shop Chris.
- 18:32He's new, he's growing. He's the fastest growing
- 18:35precious metals YouTube channel in the universe.
- 18:37OK, we have the one and only legendary figure in the gold and
- 18:41silver community and a big supporter of the channel.
- 18:44Coin shop Chris has been as well, but Jake from Jake's
- 18:47custom parts, he knows a lot of people out there in gold and
- 18:52silver. I'll, I'll leave it at that.
- 18:53A lot, a lot of people. Daniel Diaz, executive director
- 18:56at Citizens for Sound money, right.
- 18:58They are pushing and working tirelessly to get gold and
- 19:03silver back into Americans hands is real money.
- 19:07A lot of legislative legislative efforts and everything as well.
- 19:10But without further ado, I've strung everyone along here for
- 19:1320 minutes. I'm going to do the, the
- 19:15unblindfolding of the bear and then we'll come back for some
- 19:19more discussions, guys. But a couple people asked me to
- 19:22give a quick, quick history of the bear.
- 19:24So let me let me pull up a picture of the day we got the
- 19:28bear. This was a Saturday morning
- 19:32about seven years ago. Those are my twin daughters,
- 19:35Evelyn and Lillian. We were at a garage sale.
- 19:38There was a, a really nice old man and my daughters of course
- 19:42fell in love with the biggest stuffed animal in the world.
- 19:46And he, he gave it to us for like $3 and he told me it was a
- 19:49very special bear. So we, we brought it home.
- 19:52Was right around when I started Ron's basement.
- 19:55And when when I started the Channel Gold, it was like
- 19:59February 2022, the gold price was doing really well, went up
- 20:03to like $2000. But then immediately went into a
- 20:07bear market, went down to like 1600 and I, I came up with this
- 20:11idea that the bear was the gold bear was responsible for the
- 20:15bear marketing gold. At that point it's $1600 gold.
- 20:18We blindfolded him and wrote 2500 and promised everyone that
- 20:24we would take the blindfold off at $2500 gold and that was when
- 20:29the spot price of gold closed above $2500 on a Friday.
- 20:34It happened sooner than I think most people thought that it
- 20:38would, but it did happen just yesterday, Friday August 16th of
- 20:422024. So we are going to take the
- 20:45right now the blindfold off the bear and see if there's any
- 20:48surprise behind that blindfold. So bear with me, pardon the pun
- 20:52for one second. And yes, I'm wearing a swimsuit,
- 20:55but this is it. The the big moment.
- 20:58Ah, there he is. OK, there's the bears eyes.
- 21:06Somebody in the comments said, I can't believe I'm, I'm watching
- 21:09on a Saturday night a bear getting his blindfold removed.
- 21:14I was surprised when I pulled it off that the bear actually has 1
- 21:19silver eye. So he is keeping his eye on
- 21:22silver as we've been discussing here today up behind me, let's
- 21:28see right there is the silver bear which coin shop Chris set
- 21:34up for me. He's got a $85 target.
- 21:37You know, we're, we're waiting for that.
- 21:38Chris, do you when, when do you think we're going to get to that
- 21:41$85 target price and silver? Hopefully sooner than later on,
- 21:47you know, maybe by the end of 2025.
- 21:51Yeah, you think so? Think it's possible?
- 21:54Oh yeah, he. Sounds very possible.
- 21:56That sounds very possible. Yeah, I agree.
- 22:00When we're looking, what do, what do you think, Jake?
- 22:02Do you think we could get to $85 silver possibly next year?
- 22:08Depending on Everything Goes with bricks, I think we might be
- 22:11able to see it before Christmas of this year would be my
- 22:13prediction. Wow.
- 22:16Yeah, go, go ahead, Daniel. What people are asking about the
- 22:20other $2500 bear the white. 10 That's the platinum bear.
- 22:26He doesn't get enough love. Yeah, he he sits there.
- 22:29Where is he? Right there.
- 22:31Right on top of the Pembex box. And yeah, he's the he's the
- 22:35platinum bear. He doesn't get much attention,
- 22:38but we'll, you know, we'll, we'll we'll shift to him once we
- 22:41get this $85 silver price out of the way.
- 22:46Yeah, Let's talk about this Bricks meeting October 22nd and
- 22:4923rd. Anybody have any thoughts on
- 22:52that? There's this idea that we could
- 22:54hear about a gold backed trade settlement currency, the unit.
- 22:58What do you guys think about that?
- 23:00From what I've read, I've read multiple articles where they
- 23:05said the Goldback currency is still a little bit down the
- 23:08road. What they're going to introduce
- 23:10is a way to instantly transfer, kind of like ACBDC rails
- 23:14instantly transfer their currency, whatever that currency
- 23:18is. And it's going to be backed by
- 23:20all the BRICS nation's currencies in different
- 23:22proportions from my understanding.
- 23:24But I think that we might if they put gold in it, great.
- 23:29But I from what I have read the gold CBDC or bricks currency is
- 23:34still a little down the road. Interesting.
- 23:39Any other thoughts? Well, what?
- 23:41Yeah, Ron. Go ahead, go.
- 23:42Ahead. Oh yeah.
- 23:43So Ron, so on Chris Marcus's channel with Matt Riley on two
- 23:48of those interviews, he's done it where they're going to hold
- 23:5240% physical gold and then the rest of 60% is going to be the
- 23:58currencies amongst the BRICS nations to try to, you know,
- 24:05balance out their accounts and stabilize their government.
- 24:08So, you know, they can do a 40% gold back of physical that that
- 24:13probably explains why the last couple years, you know, all the
- 24:16central banks have been stockpiling the hell out of gold
- 24:19and running around the world, especially South America with
- 24:24the, what's it called, the OTC market, which a lot of people
- 24:28don't hear about. When they said, you know, last
- 24:31month or two that China wasn't buying gold, well, they were,
- 24:34they just not buying it through normal markets.
- 24:37But when the OTC and they can go around different countries and
- 24:40pick up silver ore or gold or something on the kind of like
- 24:44call it on the side. Yeah, If it's not through the
- 24:46markets, you can pick it up cheap.
- 24:47And supposedly, it sounds like China and India are paying a
- 24:51whole lot more money for it than the United States or, you know,
- 24:54beating out other countries for the bid.
- 24:57So it's going to get interesting in the next couple weeks.
- 25:00And let me comment on that. If they do surprise the world
- 25:04and actually back a digital currency with 40% gold, that's
- 25:08going to devastate the dollar. I mean, Gresham's Law is going
- 25:12to kick in. Bad money pushes out good money.
- 25:15People are going to start dumping the dollar and buying
- 25:17this gold backed currency. And you know what's going to
- 25:20happen then if all the liquidity is going into a different
- 25:22currency, that means the dollar is going to come back home.
- 25:25Creative inflationary event. People are going to dump it.
- 25:27Country's going to dump it and back their currencies and their
- 25:32trades and their, their swap lines with this gold backed
- 25:35currency. I mean, I, I know I would, I
- 25:37mean, I, I was contemplating buying the, the Zig dollar
- 25:40because it's backed by gold. And, you know, and look at
- 25:43what's happening to Zimbabwe a year after they introduced the
- 25:47Zig dollar. They are, they've gone through a
- 25:49deflationary event. Their economy is getting
- 25:51stronger. The, the central, the head of
- 25:53the Central Bank of Zimbabwe was complaining about deflation.
- 25:56Well, that's what happens when you introduce gold to your
- 25:58currency, you know, so that's, I don't know if if they do
- 26:02surprise everybody, it's it's really bad news and it's going
- 26:06to coincide with the 1.5 a 150 base points in October.
- 26:13And if that comes out, man, it's going to be real bad news for
- 26:17the economy here in the US. Yeah, interesting.
- 26:20What do you think, John? I think your guests are today
- 26:24are brilliant. I I would agree that we're not
- 26:27going to know the hour. That's sort of that project
- 26:30Sandman's about where you just flip the switch when you least
- 26:33expect it. And I agree with the citizens
- 26:38for sound money. That's Daniel, correct.
- 26:40And by the way, that's great work you do along with the sound
- 26:44money defense league. The way you guys go state to
- 26:46state, my hat's off to you because when silver has that use
- 26:51dual use of monetary and industrial, that's when we'll
- 26:54really see a bull run. But I would agree that it's that
- 26:58those dollars of course come washing back.
- 27:00We only have but the military to defend the dollar now and that's
- 27:05perhaps why we're involved today.
- 27:07I believe the Palantir CEO warned of A3 front war, one in
- 27:12Israel, one in China, one in Russia.
- 27:15Obviously the military industrial complex is been
- 27:19assigned to just back that dollar and and just beat
- 27:23everyone over the head with a stick and and force them to use
- 27:26it because it makes no sense. I was telling the gal the other
- 27:29day that you put an ounce of gold in your purse.
- 27:34What is that on the conversion? 28g or 32 grams I can't
- 27:37remember. It's a 31.1035.
- 27:40OK. Thank you.
- 27:41It's a gram of gold, gets you a barrel of oil you're getting
- 27:46from just that one coin. It's like having 31 barrels of,
- 27:50you know, oil in your purse. So if you put ten of those in
- 27:53your purse, you know, that's 300 and some barrels of oil.
- 27:58I mean, talk about just the there's just nothing the
- 28:03strategy to have something so and they can buy more oil now
- 28:09through the gold proxy than they ever could with the US dollar.
- 28:13So this is just pure economics, 5th grade style.
- 28:17You know, that's what I like about it.
- 28:19Hey, I've got about a fifth grade brain right now.
- 28:24I want to throw something in John that that that that I
- 28:27thought when you thought when you were speaking two things.
- 28:31There's no other nothing compares to to silver or gold,
- 28:36right? The to to an ounce of silver or
- 28:38an ounce of gold when it comes to the convenience and ease of
- 28:43investing in real assets because because if I want to invest in
- 28:46oil right, it's going to be really hard for me to stack up.
- 28:49Susie is not going to be happy if I bring 30 barrels of oil
- 28:53down into the basement. OK, but I can do that with with
- 28:58with with essentially with silver and gold.
- 29:01The other thing is, and I was having a conversation with this
- 29:04guy, Keith Weiner from monetary metals the other day, and I'd
- 29:07never thought of this when we were talking that, that it's
- 29:10also it's so universally available, right?
- 29:14Silver and gold are there. It's they're they're they're
- 29:17they're may, they may not be the biggest markets in terms of
- 29:21dollars, but I think they're the biggest markets in terms of the
- 29:24number of humans on the planet that participate in them.
- 29:28I mean, hey, we all all of us here, right?
- 29:31Are Coin chop, Chris, all of us, Jake, Daniel, Ron, John, we all
- 29:36have I'm sure some varying degrees of Oz of silver and
- 29:41gold, but it's not just us. So we're, we're participating in
- 29:43that market every day. Do I want to keep it?
- 29:46Do I want to hold it? Do I want to buy more, sell it?
- 29:49But it's also that poor farmer in India that maybe has 5 ounces
- 29:54of silver, millions and billions of people throughout the world
- 29:58that that are participating in the gold and silver market that
- 30:01make it in some ways one of the smarter markets in the world.
- 30:07Yeah, you're you just described that gold is very liquid.
- 30:10There is the most liquid asset in the history of I mean in
- 30:14every, all of us have emergencies every now and then.
- 30:16I've it breaks my heart, but there's been times in the last
- 30:2012 months where I've had to sell an ounce of gold.
- 30:23But getting that $2000 paycheck when you don't, when you need to
- 30:27get that just whatever a tax bill comes that you weren't
- 30:30expected or whatever medical bill or a Co payment of some
- 30:34sort or you know, it's so fungible.
- 30:37It's it is portable. It is divisible.
- 30:40It's all the things that Mister Alistair McLeod, that genius
- 30:43intellectual says it is or Mike Maloney in this.
- 30:46What was that series called on YouTube, the hidden secrets of
- 30:49money. I think it's a great series for
- 30:53anyone new you, you can learn just as much as the four of us
- 30:57here just listening to that YouTube series.
- 31:00It's well with your time, Yeah. What else you got, Ron?
- 31:04As far as your projection, let's ask you what do you got?
- 31:08You know, I, I don't have a strong feeling about gold. back
- 31:11in December, I had predicted that I thought we would get to
- 31:132500 by May, which we didn't get there, but we got close, right?
- 31:19Oh, I am saying I think that my, my gut feel right.
- 31:22And look, I don't have a fancy chart.
- 31:24I read all the fancy charts. I listen to people like you.
- 31:27I listen to a lot of smart people.
- 31:29I kind of also like to look at, I think and you guys touched on
- 31:34this, I think that we are in a precarious situation right now
- 31:37in the world and that your average American is clueless
- 31:42about what's going on. I mean, we have we have the the
- 31:48mainland of Russia being invaded right now, right?
- 31:52I mean, that's a big deal. And, and, and I think that to a
- 31:56certain degree, it's safe to say that the United States is
- 31:59involved with that. I mean, they are.
- 32:00I mean, this is like you talk about what could go on with the
- 32:03bricks. You talk about what could go on
- 32:05with the world monetary system. And and it's like these are
- 32:08these are really massive big times when it when it go ahead,
- 32:13Daniel. You know, and then look at
- 32:15what's going on in the UK that mean there might be a civil war
- 32:18in the UK and, and Sweden and Poland, you know, the, the the
- 32:22Europeans are fighting off Muslim immigrants and it's
- 32:26getting violent. It is not including Ukraine, not
- 32:28including Iran and Israel. It's getting destabilizing.
- 32:31And historically, when the world destabilizes, everybody gets
- 32:35into gold and silver and the bounce off of what John Little
- 32:38was saying and what you were saying.
- 32:39Yeah, gold coins and silver coins and absolutely fantastic.
- 32:42I'm an advocate of asset backed digital currencies, digital
- 32:46tokens back one to one and redeemable for physical gold and
- 32:49silver. And I'm also a big proponent of
- 32:51gold backs. I love gold backs.
- 32:53If you can get a picture, there you go.
- 32:54This right here. I can.
- 32:56I paid a cleaning lady. She reached out to me because I
- 32:58was selling gold backs like hey, I'll, I'll clean your house for
- 33:01gold backs. It's liquid and it's small
- 33:03denominations. Each one of these right now is
- 33:05$5.17. My first time I bought a gold
- 33:08back unless than a year ago. Yep, there you go $3.92 it's up
- 33:15to $5 and and 17 cents now. And it's a great way to use your
- 33:20gold and silver like currency and liquid cash.
- 33:23And we're you know, I'm also an authorized partner with Alpine
- 33:27Gold Exchange and I'm signing up merchants here in Florida to
- 33:29accept gold and silver. I'm up to like 7 merchants now.
- 33:33And as more merchants start accepting gold and silver as
- 33:36money as it's always been intended, these gold backs,
- 33:39there's fractional liquid just as cash.
- 33:41So the, the future is looking very bright.
- 33:44People are going to be able to start using real money once
- 33:47again. And if we get this legislation
- 33:49passed across the country, there's nothing stopping the,
- 33:52the, the potential growth of gold and silver as as money
- 33:57again and store value. So.
- 34:01Yeah, yeah. It was interesting.
- 34:02I read the other day that there's a new gold and silver
- 34:05vault depository that was built in Idaho that can store more
- 34:09metal than what can be stored at Fort Knox.
- 34:12And I thought my point was, what is this telling us?
- 34:15I mean, this is telling me that there's demand out there for
- 34:20people to store their silver and gold, so.
- 34:23Yeah, and he didn't open this thing in like man, Midtown
- 34:26Manhattan. This is in Eagle, ID in the
- 34:29middle of the, you know, probably the least populated
- 34:32state in the United. Well, that North Dakota that
- 34:35you're right, Ron, that is a great, what would you call that?
- 34:39An indicator like the Canary? And that's one thing I do want
- 34:43to emphasize too with gold and silver is just how private it
- 34:46is. I've had so many trouble with my
- 34:48bank lately and just getting verified and seen it.
- 34:54Everything is so easy for Uncle Sam and the IRS and any forensic
- 35:00person, you're guilty until proven innocent.
- 35:04Every transit right now we worry about the CBDC.
- 35:07Well, it's sort of already here. Just look at an online bank and
- 35:11and we got to remember the next wars.
- 35:14You know, sure, there's kinetic wars, but if they are going to
- 35:16be cyber wars and you just can't hack someone's gold and when the
- 35:20energy grid goes down, you know, gold and silver still shine in
- 35:25the candlelight, unlike, you know, Bitcoin.
- 35:28And, and we look at how warfare is being conducted now and it's
- 35:32drones, small drones with explosives killing soldiers.
- 35:35I mean, it's going to all going to be electronic.
- 35:37Where is all that silver going to come from?
- 35:39Where is all all the materials copper?
- 35:41You know what I think is going to happen over the next five
- 35:44years? There's going to be a commodity
- 35:46boom. You got AI that needs
- 35:48electricity and they're, they're already tapping out the, the
- 35:51infrastructure here at the Bitcoin conference 2020 four,
- 35:54Trump was talking about decreasing regulations so we can
- 35:59get nuclear power or uranium's probably going to go up.
- 36:02And so all the, the materials needed for energy creation, it's
- 36:07going to skyrocket. I think it might be an
- 36:09interesting time to start maybe buying up some copper, buying up
- 36:11some uranium, because the way that we're going with energy, I
- 36:15mean, we to the amount of energy it takes to run one query on
- 36:20ChatGPT is 17 times more than doing a Google search.
- 36:24Right. You know, I used MGPT hundreds
- 36:27of times a day. I'm using a lot of power.
- 36:29Oh yeah. And if you go and look at a data
- 36:32center, I just did, I'm doing a story Monday on this topic,
- 36:35Daniel, some of these data centers have 100,000 servers and
- 36:42each of those servers has a fan on it and they all need to be
- 36:45cooled and miles of cable and there's aluminum.
- 36:49There's 2700 data centers in the United States.
- 36:53It's and these data centers that what you know what's running AII
- 36:56was a crypto miner before I got into this precious metal space
- 36:59and I was doing a theory mining. I had hundreds of GPUs.
- 37:03I'm a small fish, but the amount of aluminum in every GPU, the
- 37:06amount of copper, the amount of gold because of the the
- 37:09fillings. I mean, it's AI is just going to
- 37:12keep growing and growing, growing.
- 37:14And you know, aluminum stocks too.
- 37:15I mean start buying aluminum futures.
- 37:17I mean, it's probably a great time right now before the bull
- 37:20market really takes off to start getting into real commodities
- 37:23across the board. Oh.
- 37:24For sure cop you great call Daniel on copper B it's copper's
- 37:28the new silver. I mean seriously, it's it's also
- 37:32antimicrobial. It's it it's physical properties
- 37:35are just almost there silver, but it can't be used in a solar
- 37:40panel because it doesn't have the reflectivity like silver
- 37:43does. That's why silver's used in
- 37:46mirrors. Hey guys, I got to run, but it's
- 37:48still good to be surrounded by all you.
- 37:50I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm fans of these guys too.
- 37:54Yeah. Hey, John, I want to mention to
- 37:56our audience because we have, we have 700 people with us right
- 37:58now, John, signing off. This is John Little from the
- 38:02Silver Academy Substack. Just go in your Google search
- 38:06bar and type in the Silver Academy Substack.
- 38:09Thank you, Ron. And, and by the way, on the,
- 38:12there is a paid version, but all the content, there's no
- 38:16differentiation between what a free user gets.
- 38:20But here's what I did, because Charles will come in.
- 38:23I just set it to where if you want to make a comment, you have
- 38:26to pay. So it's free.
- 38:28It's there's no paywall every day.
- 38:30It's two stories a day on silver every single day and even
- 38:33Sundays. Yeah, he's he's, he's like me.
- 38:36He's a daily content guy. And it's if you watch Ron's
- 38:40basement, you know that multiple times every week.
- 38:43I'm talking about an article that I got from the Silver
- 38:47Academy. So do yourself a favor.
- 38:49Thanks, John. Thanks.
- 38:50For your support. Hey, Jake.
- 38:51Jake, it's good to see you and not just in the chat room.
- 38:54And Daniel, I'm glad I got to talk to you too.
- 38:57And coin shot, Chris. Well, I don't see his face, but
- 38:59coin shot Chris, I will check out your YouTube channel and you
- 39:02got to come. I'm starting a podcast soon like
- 39:05I'll have you guys on too. OK.
- 39:06Thanks, John. I appreciate it.
- 39:08Thank. You see you.
- 39:09Thanks, John. Yeah, bye, Bye.
- 39:11Bye bye. Bye, bye.
- 39:13So, so as John was speaking and I'm thinking about silver and,
- 39:16and, and Daniel's one, Daniel can probably comment on this.
- 39:19When I think about the, the fact that, that this, that this AI
- 39:24ChatGPT does take 17 times and I've heard 12 * / 20 times as
- 39:29much energy computing power to do a, a, a search or a query as
- 39:36opposed to Google and all these massive data centers that are
- 39:40all over the world. And we don't see them, right?
- 39:42Because they're kind of hidden. They're in off, you know,
- 39:44they're, they're, they're, but they're everywhere inside of
- 39:47every. Is it safe for me to say, and I
- 39:50want your opinion on this guys, that when I look at these data
- 39:53centers, I can also think that there's, you know, hundreds, if
- 39:56not thousands of Oz of silver inside each of those data
- 40:00centers. We know there's pounds and
- 40:02pounds of copper, but there's also maybe hundreds or thousands
- 40:06of pounds of silver inside of each of.
- 40:08One of those data centers and the number is just continuing to
- 40:11expand. Yeah, 100%.
- 40:14I mean, it's mostly copper, but there's definitely, I mean
- 40:16there's definitely gold. There's gold in every single one
- 40:18of these. What should we call it, GPUs
- 40:22that they're using industrial grade and non industrial grade.
- 40:25So, and there's definitely silver inside of them as well.
- 40:29So they're just going to keep manufacturing and manufacturing,
- 40:31manufacturing. We're going to get to a point
- 40:33where there's just not enough materials to continue creating
- 40:37energy generation and creating new Transformers and creating
- 40:41new power plants and everything. You know, I was listening to
- 40:45somebody yesterday about how we're going to probably be
- 40:49building a much stronger relationship with Canada because
- 40:52Canada has so much. What is the water, the dams,
- 40:57hydro, hydropower, they have so much hydropower and we're going
- 41:00to need that much power if we're going to be the AI capital of
- 41:03the world. So it's, you know, I really
- 41:06think physical, physical assets is a great time to invest from,
- 41:12from, you know, not just precious metals, but base metals
- 41:16too. Yeah.
- 41:17Well, and if you think about it, you know, to get back to the one
- 41:20real base fundamental reasons why we love silver, we love
- 41:24gold, we love copper, any real asset, there's only so much of
- 41:29these assets on the planet here. We can say that definitively.
- 41:32There is, you know, there's a certain amount of silver and
- 41:34gold that is above ground. There's a certain amount that
- 41:37remains in the ground, but there's only a certain amount
- 41:40and the paper, right, This stuff, right, this
- 41:44electronically. And like this can be, can be
- 41:47made into Infinity and it has. And we've seen what's happened,
- 41:50right? Yeah.
- 41:52This is real money, no? But we know, but we know what's
- 41:55happened with this since 1971 versus gold, it's lost, you
- 41:59know, probably 99% now of its quote UN quote value versus gold
- 42:05versus silver versus probably you know to a certain degree
- 42:08most other real assets. So, you know, it's I think it
- 42:12just it gives us, I think at times the silver and gold
- 42:16investors because we are such a for now minority in this
- 42:20country, you know, we can feel maybe frustrated, but it's
- 42:25important for us to remember these things.
- 42:27Coin shop. Chris, are you still with us?
- 42:29I'm still here, Ron. I'm just going to make a few
- 42:31points. You know, I see a lot of people
- 42:33come in from time to time. You know, they see the price go
- 42:37up and they have no plans for the cash.
- 42:40You got to have a plan for the cash if you're going to if you
- 42:44need it, fine. If you don't need it, your
- 42:46mouth, hang on to your precious metals.
- 42:49And another point is get to know your local farmers, get to know
- 42:54your local butchers, get to know your local restaurants and ask
- 42:58them if they will take silver or gold as payment now, because
- 43:03when the system crashes, you know, it's better to give up a
- 43:06little bit of silver now. Get them used to taking the
- 43:09silver and gold train. Train the owners if you have to,
- 43:13and tell them to watch our YouTube videos and have them
- 43:17learn. Have them watch Andy Shakman.
- 43:19Have them watch what that thing have them watch Ron's basement.
- 43:22You know what? Have them watch coin shop Chris.
- 43:25And you know, that way we can all learn that silver and gold's
- 43:29actually real money. The time is now and how much
- 43:33time we have. We don't.
- 43:35I don't. I can't tell you that.
- 43:37Yeah. I don't.
- 43:38I don't think we have much time. No.
- 43:41Well, I don't Lynette Zhang and I'm going to have her on here in
- 43:45a couple weeks again. Lynette Zhang, I asked her last
- 43:49time she was on. I said, why does it feel like
- 43:51everything is so crazy in the world, right?
- 43:54It really does. It feels crazy, she said.
- 43:58And I liked how she said this. She said that's because we're
- 44:01getting near the end, and when things get near the end, they
- 44:04get really crazy. And, you know, it's easy to
- 44:07recognize that after it all happens, you know, And again, I
- 44:11don't want to say all the sky is falling, Chicken Little,
- 44:14everybody, you know, who knows, right?
- 44:16I mean, we could be wrong, but it sure feels crazy.
- 44:18And I think it's a lot easier to look back.
- 44:21It's like with recessions, right?
- 44:23They never say, oh, we're in a recession.
- 44:24They always do it like six months later, Like, oh, well,
- 44:27the recession actually started at this point.
- 44:29That that, that, that things are, are are, you know, the
- 44:33reason why things feel crazy is because we could be nearing a,
- 44:36you know, a situation where things get really crazy.
- 44:40Yeah. You know, I, yeah, I think
- 44:44another way that we can look at the potential growth of gold and
- 44:47silver. I just put it, I just posted a
- 44:48link of an image. The correlation between the
- 44:52amount of paper dollars being printed and the increase in
- 44:56price of gold are it's not one to one, but it's a probably
- 45:008590% correlated because if you look at the national debt over
- 45:05the last 10 years, 10 years ago, we're at $14 trillion in debt.
- 45:10We're at $35 trillion at of debt today.
- 45:14That's over a 100% return when you look at gold, If you look at
- 45:20gold at I think 10 years ago it was maybe.
- 45:24Is this? Is this the chart that I pull it
- 45:25up? Yep, that's it right there. 10
- 45:28years ago gold was probably around 1516 100 and now we're at
- 45:3325. Gold has gone up well over 100%.
- 45:38It probably closer to $1200 when I think 10 years ago.
- 45:41I forget I looked at the chart but I wrote a post two days ago
- 45:46about CPI and shadow stats inflation.
- 45:50Right? I only went back to 2020.
- 45:52Shadow stats says that real inflation rate through the end
- 45:56of 2023 was 49.74%. If you look at the price of gold
- 46:02as of two days ago, the the beginning of 2020 to the end of
- 46:072023 goes up 54%. What feels more real that that
- 46:12CPI? We've only had 16% inflation or
- 46:15we've had 4 / 49% inflation. Gold is keeping up with
- 46:19inflation and it's the best asset you can put your your
- 46:22economic energy, your, your wealth, your wages into to
- 46:25preserve your your purchasing power.
- 46:28And if you want to predict if the if we lower rates and we do
- 46:32quantitative easing again, I can see gold going to the 3004
- 46:37thousand $5000. If we do quantitative easing
- 46:39again, the correlation is way too close between the printing
- 46:43of the dollar and the value of gold.
- 46:46Yeah, absolutely. I mean, I like to think of if,
- 46:48if you, if you envision all the gold in the world in one pile
- 46:54and you envision all the dollars in the world in one pile, you
- 46:59can't just increase that pile of gold, but they can easily double
- 47:02or triple that pile of dollars. And that just makes the gold
- 47:06that much more valuable. And there's no other way to look
- 47:09at it. All right, guys.
- 47:10I think does anybody have any closing remarks, Jake, anything
- 47:14you want to say before we wrap things up here?
- 47:17Yeah, I do want to remind everybody, don't forget just
- 47:20more than a week or so ago, we had Japan almost start a
- 47:25waterfall. It didn't take much.
- 47:27They barely raised the interest rates.
- 47:29You better keep your eye on that.
- 47:30We got commercial real estate in the United States.
- 47:34We got all kinds of deficit issues.
- 47:36If the slightest pullback on the stock market, say 1520% comes in
- 47:41the next month or so before or around October, man, it's really
- 47:45going to get exciting. So get your popcorn in your, get
- 47:48your pizzas ready because it's going to be inner.
- 47:51And and stack, stack as much as possible.
- 47:53I was telling Ron before we got on, I am almost out of cash.
- 47:57I am buying as much gold and silver physical as I can digital
- 48:00and I think there's going to be a major bull run.
- 48:03So yeah. Well, Jake, I'm sorry, we're not
- 48:06ramping things up because now I'm going to go just a few more
- 48:08minutes because Jake, I appreciate you bringing that up.
- 48:12I've been, I've been banging the table.
- 48:14Japan is the third largest economy in the world.
- 48:17Their stock market went down almost 13 percent in one day and
- 48:23then did you, did you guys notice it just like magically
- 48:26got fixed within? A yeah, I got papered over.
- 48:29Yeah, I got papered over. Yeah.
- 48:31I mean, if, if the system is that delicate right now, that
- 48:35fragile, that like, I mean, you know, the world was ending on
- 48:38Monday and by Thursday everything was fine again.
- 48:42To me that just indicates that if, if they can't allow they,
- 48:47they, you know, capitalism is based on some pain, right?
- 48:50The, the losers lose and, and there's prices to be paid.
- 48:53If they can't allow the system that they have to paper over
- 48:56everything and react so quickly, how do you think they're going
- 49:00to react when that happens to the United States?
- 49:01Like Jake was just saying, right, They're going to print,
- 49:04man. They're, that's all they're
- 49:05going to, they're going to, it's, it's becoming, they're,
- 49:08things are happening faster and at a much more extreme level.
- 49:12And I think that that's up to and including quantitative
- 49:15easing, papering over things. What did they do when we had the
- 49:19what did they do 16 months ago when we had these banks that
- 49:22went bad, right. Remember Sunday night and the
- 49:25world was ending and and you know, oh, well, we have the BTF,
- 49:28the bank term funding program. And, you know, we'll just paper
- 49:32over everything. Paper over.
- 49:33Yeah, yeah, right. We can't, we can't let any pain
- 49:36happen, right. But every time they do it, they
- 49:39just perpetuate and make bigger the underlying problems.
- 49:44And I could go on for out. But, I mean, it started with the
- 49:46tech bubble. It was very accentuated during
- 49:49the great financial crisis. And eventually, you know,
- 49:53eventually Rick Rule, I had him on a few weeks ago, said, you
- 49:56know, the hens come home to roost.
- 49:58And when they do, you know, I mean, you can only fight gravity
- 50:02for so long, right? You know, you can only keep it
- 50:05anyway. It's going to be, yeah.
- 50:08Yeah. And also one other thing, Ron.
- 50:10So keep an eye on the battle going on between Janet Yellen
- 50:14and Papa Jerome, the Fed chair. So yeah, they're, they're at
- 50:19each other because you can see Janet borrowing and then doing
- 50:23deals on the, on the the short term bonds and treasuries, not
- 50:27what she used to do on the 30. So keep your eyes on that.
- 50:31And, and like I said, there's a lot of great paid services out
- 50:34there. I give a shout out to Professor
- 50:36Vinny at Golfix on Substack and also Jordan Roy Byrne.
- 50:41He's got killer charts. All of them do great jobs, but
- 50:45they do have free and paid services.
- 50:47But man, if you guys want to learn and get some inside
- 50:50information, that's that's two good spots.
- 50:53I recommend I I do the pay paid services for them that they got
- 50:57great information. Just want to share that with
- 50:59everybody. All right, we're going.
- 51:01We're going to hang around for just a few more minutes.
- 51:03Did I remove somebody? Who did I remove?
- 51:06I. Think you dropped Daniel?
- 51:07Daniel. Daniel one bye, bye.
- 51:12Daniel, come back, please. I apologize.
- 51:16Hopefully we'll get Daniel back here and we're going to see if
- 51:19we can get Adam Van from Alpine Gold.
- 51:21He was going to hop in and I, I probably accidentally got rid of
- 51:25you, Daniel. So please come back.
- 51:28Chris, what do you think? What do you think about this
- 51:31this this situation in the world and where we're going to be
- 51:34heading here in the next few months?
- 51:36Well, I, I'm, I'm a big advocate run for junk silver.
- 51:41You know, I've done a video on this.
- 51:43If we added up all the Washington silver quarters
- 51:46minted from 1932 to 1964, and if we were able to find every
- 51:52single quarter that they minted, you throw in in a big pile, you
- 51:59divide that by the American people, you're going to get less
- 52:01than seven quarters per person. All right, So there's your math
- 52:06right there. And people think there's plenty
- 52:08of there. A lot of this stuff got melted
- 52:10down. As we know, we melt stuff when
- 52:12we can't read a date on something.
- 52:13It goes in the milk bucket or, or, or we people come and buy it
- 52:17as scrap. That's what we sell it for at
- 52:19the shop. So I mean, you know, stack as
- 52:22much 90% silver you can get your hands on now before it is truly
- 52:27gone. Yeah, there's only so much out
- 52:30there. There's only there's only so
- 52:31much out there. So and Jake I, I do know that
- 52:34you've left 90% stair with Jake so.
- 52:36Yeah, I do. Yeah, I do also have a tip for
- 52:38everybody also, if you go to an LCS and they let you handpick
- 52:43your junk silver, I recommend doing that before you get online
- 52:47and just buy a random 5000 face or 1000 face bag.
- 52:51Because if you get a chance now to pick all the nicer true
- 52:54weight 2.5g Dimes and and the good looking quarters, if you
- 52:59can get all those first. If you look around now, a lot of
- 53:03the junk silver that they have for sale are not calling them
- 53:07slicks, but they're pretty worn. That seems to be the leftovers.
- 53:10So if you need to go through your stash now, trade or barter
- 53:15or or you know, do something and try to get rid of your slicks
- 53:18and see if you can upgrade to 100% stack.
- 53:22That's really nice and full true weight, the best you can, you
- 53:27know, on those because it'll be a whole lot easier to barter and
- 53:30trade when you have 14 real Dimes that will equal an ounce
- 53:34versus 14 slick mercuries. And what if the farmer like
- 53:38Chris is talking about, well, they want an ounce of silver and
- 53:41you give him 14 slick mercuries, he's going to ask you for two
- 53:44more Dimes or three to make up the weight.
- 53:47You know, and remember, in the United States, they they sell to
- 53:50us by face value, But overseas, my friend Dutch, they buy it in
- 53:57weight. So, so there's always a
- 53:59difference of what will you be buying and how will the trader,
- 54:03you know, how does he want his? His payment in silver is at face
- 54:07value. I bet you he's going to want
- 54:08weight. As soon as he finds out he's
- 54:10getting all the slicks, he's going to want weight.
- 54:13So just keep that in mind if you got time to do that now.
- 54:16And I totally agree with you, Jake.
- 54:17I think it will go towards the weight.
- 54:19Yeah, I really agree with that. So you think eventually we'll be
- 54:25buying and selling and trading junk silver based more on weight
- 54:28than on the what we're kind of historically used to now, which
- 54:33is based on face value, correct? Yeah, in the art shops there,
- 54:37there are shops that do buy it by weight now and there are
- 54:40shops will buy, most shops will buy it at 14.
- 54:44You know, $1.40 equals any dollar 40 and 90% survey equals
- 54:50an ounce of silver. That's how most shops buy it.
- 54:52But some shops are starting to turn over to the weight.
- 54:57Right. Yeah.
- 54:57But I mean, think about this way, Ron.
- 54:59If you and I were going to do a barter trade and whatever it is,
- 55:03and you got your payment and you realize that you got 14 slick
- 55:06Dimes and you put it on a digital scale and you're, you
- 55:09know, you're short. You're short and out.
- 55:11Well, how long are you going to continue doing trades?
- 55:14And then am I the one screwing you on purpose because I'm
- 55:18giving you all my slick stuff first?
- 55:20Yeah, kind of. So if any of the stackers, if
- 55:23any of us are going to do any barter, nobody's going to take
- 55:26less than an ounce of silver for whatever you know you're buying.
- 55:29So why if we don't do it now, now's the time to upgrade, you
- 55:34know, trade it for some eagles, then come back later and you
- 55:37know, or you know, just just try to upgrade your your Dimes and
- 55:40quarters and halves and try to pick out the best ones you can.
- 55:44Well, it's kind of like, it's kind of like, what do they call
- 55:46it shaving? Like back in the day, people
- 55:48would shave little parts. I mean, it's not, it's just
- 55:53because the, the coins have been worn from decades and decades of
- 55:57use, but it's really the same concept.
- 55:59It's like, you know, a little bit of the silver's gone because
- 56:02they've been worn down. I don't know where it went.
- 56:04I guess it's on people's fingertips or somewhere on the
- 56:07planet. But we do know one thing.
- 56:10It's not there. It's not on those on those
- 56:12coins. So hold on guys.
- 56:14I think we've got one more guest.
- 56:16We do, Mr. Adam Van from Alpine Gold.
- 56:20Hold on. One second here.
- 56:21Hey, Adam, can you hear us? Yes, I can hear you.
- 56:24Hey, Adam. How are you doing?
- 56:25Hey. Adam.
- 56:27How? Are you doing?
- 56:29Adam. Yep, that's we've we've got Jake
- 56:32from Jake's custom Parts. He's a well known figure in the
- 56:36gold and silver community and a big supporter of the basement.
- 56:39He's a moderator on my channel, but he's friends with Andy
- 56:42Scheckman, Chris Marcus. He knows a lot of people and a
- 56:44lot about silver and gold. And we're also in the lower
- 56:47right corner joined by the one and only Coin shop.
- 56:50Chris from the Coin Shop Chris YouTube channel, the world's
- 56:54fastest growing silver and gold YouTube channel.
- 56:56And of course, Adam Van from Alpine Gold, who's been a big
- 57:00supporter of Ron's basement works in the work works in the
- 57:05industry. And Adam, thanks for joining us.
- 57:09Today, not sure. Sure, sure.
- 57:11I work in the industry in the services side of things, so not
- 57:15any kind of direct competitors or anything.
- 57:17We do services with gold and silver.
- 57:18We've talked about it in the past, but man, what an exciting
- 57:22end to the week at $2500 for an ounce.
- 57:26You've taken the blindfold off of our bear in the back.
- 57:29What's his name back there? Oh, shoot, Susie is going to
- 57:32kill me. Goldie and it's and and Susie.
- 57:35Goldie is a girl. So she's her Goldie is a girl.
- 57:39We finally we finally got. Her you've you've had her in
- 57:42your basement for two years, bindfolded and.
- 57:45Finally. You.
- 57:48Know, but but that's OK. We'll let the rumors to stop
- 57:52right there. But no.
- 57:53What an unprecedented week in gold.
- 57:57You know, silver's not doing bad either, but right there on
- 57:59Friday, Thursday and Friday, it just shot right up.
- 58:02And we've had some very, very happy members that that that got
- 58:08in early before the surge. I don't think the surge is over.
- 58:11This is just a, a tell of what's what our economy is doing and
- 58:16what and what's coming to the future.
- 58:18You know, the uncertainty that's happening is what is what this
- 58:22is. And I think that we're going to
- 58:23see 3000. I'm still, I'm still holding.
- 58:26I'm I'm holding anyway, I'm a, I'm a big gold holder, but a
- 58:30hoarder, I guess you could say. But but I think I think we're
- 58:35going to see 3000 by the end of the year.
- 58:37And I have to say, Ron, I think you were the one who was calling
- 58:39that. I, I called 2500 by December.
- 58:42And I think you corrected me in one of your other episodes that
- 58:45you thought it would be 3000. And it looks like you're going
- 58:47to win. Well, we'll, we'll, we'll see.
- 58:50And some of the big banks are calling for three, I know like
- 58:53if I remember correctly, Citibank and a few of the other
- 58:56like big, big banks, some of the, the Dutch banks and the,
- 59:00the banks in Europe are saying that we could, we could
- 59:03certainly see $3000 gold by the end of this year.
- 59:06And when you, like you said, when you look at what's, when
- 59:09you just look at what's going on with the financial system, with
- 59:12the, with the amount of, of debt that's out there and then just
- 59:16all the uncertainty that's going on in the world.
- 59:21And it seems very, very, very plausible at this point.
- 59:25Yeah. Hey, Ron, I got something to
- 59:27commemorate the see if we can hold that up, try and get the
- 59:31glare out of it. This is this is a a gold 2 gold
- 59:34buffaloes and two gold eagles and then two silver eagles.
- 59:39We. Had framed, you know, so it's
- 59:42not necessarily for sale, but you know, everything's got a
- 59:45price but you know, once we get into the right numbers but yeah,
- 59:49we had that framed up, you know to and we're going to have that
- 59:52hung up in our shop that's. Pretty cool commemorate
- 59:56everything going on well, Adam, it's all on the.
- 59:59Back of it. So I know you guys got to get
- 1:00:01back at it, but but anyway, no congratulations on everything.
- 1:00:04Wrong. Yeah.
- 1:00:06And you've been, you've been a big supporter of the channel,
- 1:00:09Jake has been a big supporter of the channel.
- 1:00:12Jake, is there anything you want to say before we sign off here?
- 1:00:16No, I'm good. I appreciate everybody.
- 1:00:18Appreciate you, Ron. Congratulations.
- 1:00:21Let's watch gold keep going. And gold for the win, baby.
- 1:00:24This year, it's going to be a good year.
- 1:00:26Yeah, yeah, Chris reach out to me.
- 1:00:28I can support his channel too. And and anybody that I'm into
- 1:00:32gold and silver, that's all I am.
- 1:00:33I'm I'm into gold and silver is what I like and I'll support
- 1:00:36anybody that's a brother in the gold and silver game.
- 1:00:38Yeah, let me let me say, let's see if I can put my words
- 1:00:42together. I do appreciate that, Adam.
- 1:00:44Yeah, Adam. Adam has it's been, and it was
- 1:00:48probably one of the most genuine.
- 1:00:50I know you do a lot with, you know, the, the, the, what's it
- 1:00:53called? Pork Fest, which is kind of a
- 1:00:55gold and silver oriented libertarian event that you, that
- 1:01:00you help put on every year. But you've, you're you, you
- 1:01:04definitely strike me as somebody who is just genuine, not out
- 1:01:08there trying to push your agenda or your own self-interest.
- 1:01:16And I've met a lot of great people on this journey, but
- 1:01:18you're definitely at the top of the list in terms of just
- 1:01:21someone who genuinely is a good person, but also at the same
