Blindfold Off! Gold Hits $2,500—Big SURPRISE To Come! · SILVER / GOLD / $UFD: Surviving Global Economic Shifts | RONS BASEMENT

0:01
The gold price has surpassed $2500 per oz.
0:05
In this video, we will be taking the blindfold off the gold bear.
0:11
We'll do that a little bit later in the video.
0:13
But first I want to introduce today's guest.
0:15
We got a number of people who are joining us now and a number
0:18
more who will be joining us shortly.
0:20
We have Daniel Diaz, the Executive Director of Citizens
0:24
for Sound Money. We have Jake from Jake's Custom
0:27
Parts, a legendary and well known figure in the gold and
0:31
silver community and of course the one and only Coin shop.
0:34
Chris from the Coin Shop Chris YouTube channel and long time
0:39
supporter of Ron's Basement. Guys, welcome to Ron's Basement.
0:43
Hey, Ron, thank you for having us on.
0:45
Thanks, Ron. You're welcome, guys.
0:49
You're welcome. And thanks to everybody who's
0:50
joining us for this, a momentous occasion of taking the the
0:55
blindfold off the bear. Can we believe that we hit $2500
0:59
gold? We were talking before we came.
1:01
I went live that it was just October of last year, what, 8-9
1:07
months ago that we had $1800 gold.
1:10
And people scoffed at us when we talked about the prospects for
1:13
$2500 gold. But here we are.
1:16
So in this video, we're going to talk about a couple key things.
1:19
Where do we think gold could go from here?
1:22
But also what about the little brother silver?
1:26
Will silver hit its all time highs right?
1:28
Last time we saw silver at $50 was 2011.
1:33
Why don't we start with with Daniel?
1:35
Daniel, what do you what do you see when you think about the
1:38
gold price in the in the coming months?
1:41
I think gold is going to go on a major bull run.
1:45
I think that 2500 is just a start.
1:47
If we're looking at the futures right now, the gold is at 2546
1:53
and holding. And with everything, if we're
1:56
looking at the macroeconomic situation of our country, we
2:00
have 75 basis points being dropped on the interest by the
2:04
Fed in September. It's going to happen again in
2:06
October. That's going to shock the market
2:08
and I think that's going to be the the feather that brings the
2:12
entire, all the markets down, real estate stock market and,
2:15
and the debt markets. And if you know, I'm a big fan
2:19
of bad North star, bad charts. You know, they have some great
2:24
analysis on gold and silver and you know, I don't know if you
2:27
wanted to pull that up. Yeah, let me let me let me pull
2:30
that up and let me remind everyone as well at about the
2:33
about the 10 minute mark is when 1015 minute mark is when we're
2:36
going to remove the blindfold from the bear.
2:39
I want to make sure everybody who's joining us knows that
2:42
we're just going to wait for some people to join us.
2:44
But is this the chart that you that you this is the?
2:46
Chart and they did this chart I think five years ago and it it
2:51
played out exactly as they planned.
2:54
If you look on the chart, I think yeah, they have it going
2:59
up to 2660 in the short term. But if you look at that green
3:04
line up there, it says estimated path three-year moving average.
3:09
They expect it to continue going up and that arrow is going up to
3:12
$9000. Now if you look at another chart
3:15
that they did on gold compared to the stock market, 140 years
3:21
of U.S. stocks priced in gold, it kind of matches up the the
3:26
the long term bull market that we're going to have.
3:29
If you wanted to pull that one up to.
3:30
Show the is that? Is that this one here that one?
3:34
So we have had four, well really three big bull markets over the
3:38
last 140 years. 1931 the first gold and silver bull market
3:44
started, you see that in the bottom left and it peaked in
3:47
1935. We're looking four years of gold
3:50
and silver bull market. Then again, we got a Bretton
3:52
Woods in 1971 and the gold and silver bull market started again
3:57
and it peaked in nine years later in 1979.
4:01
Another bull market happened in 2004 and it ended.
4:06
The peak of gold and silver ended in 2011.
4:09
Now it's happening again. The indicators of the stock
4:14
market and and gold ratios are getting to that point and look
4:19
at the and look at the years going up to 2028, we could have
4:23
another four to five years of a bull market in gold and silver.
4:29
It's, it's exciting to, to, to think about the prospect.
4:32
You know, I was, I was looking earlier today, not many people
4:38
want to talk about a bear market in the dollar.
4:40
But if you look at that 2001 to 2011 bear market in the dollar
4:46
in the US dollar is at historic high levels.
4:49
Gold went up from like $250 all the way to 1800 during that
4:53
period, right? And silver went from five $5 in
4:58
2001 all the way to $50 per ounce of 10X in 2011.
5:03
So thank you. Thank you for your, your
5:05
thoughts. Hey, Jake, what are you, what
5:07
are you feeling for the gold price here as we as we head into
5:10
the coming, let's say couple years?
5:14
Yeah, I think it's going to work out great for gold.
5:16
I've always been a big fan of gold.
5:18
I think the next price target should be looking at about 27127
5:23
ten, something around that for the next move up.
5:28
Yeah, I think the next couple years going to be great.
5:30
And remember I try to tell people even though the markets
5:32
sound and look OK right now, we haven't even gotten to bricks
5:37
yet. So all this movement the last
5:39
four months and all this is just kind of steady flow.
5:42
We're already beating bonds, we're getting close to beating
5:46
the S&P. And once we saw see a pullback
5:49
in stocks, you're really going to see money start moving into
5:52
physical gold and silver. And then hopefully you guys are
5:55
holding on to miners. You'll see some new money, new
5:58
money come in to the miners. Yeah, yeah, Thank you, Jake and
6:04
coin shop Chris here. Before we start the process of
6:08
removing the blindfold from the bear, what are your thoughts on
6:12
gold and silver? I know you follow it ultra
6:14
closely on a daily basis. How how do you see things
6:17
playing out here in the in the? Next.
6:19
Well, you know, I, I got to agree with the rest of the boys
6:22
here, Ron. I mean, you, you know, I'm kind
6:25
of surprised we're at gold at 2500 now.
6:28
I did not think that was going to be going to happen till after
6:32
the Fed cut in Sept, in September.
6:34
But look, we got gold. We lost you.
6:40
That's are you there. Go ahead. 3032 point O 4% and we
6:46
got silver up $6.55. That's a net gain of 29 point O
6:51
7%. I think from now until they cut
6:55
rates and after they cut rates, you're going to see gold and
6:58
silver really take off. And can we see $9000 gold?
7:03
Yeah, the next couple years, I do believe that.
7:05
Could we see triple digit silver?
7:08
Very possible. Yeah, you know, yeah.
7:10
And you know what, Chris? It's it's, I want to point out
7:14
or repeat one more time. Like we say 9000, we say $10,000
7:18
gold and people think you're crazy, right?
7:20
Well, they thought we were crazy when we said $2500 gold back in
7:24
October. But you know, that's a four,
7:26
that's a four times a 4X for gold to get to 10,000.
7:30
It did a 6X from 2001 to 2011. So it's not like it's, you know,
7:37
there isn't precedence for these types of gains to occur
7:42
throughout throughout the history, recent history with the
7:44
gold and silver price. So it's going to be it's going
7:47
to be fun to watch how things play out.
7:50
So we're at four O 8. What do you guys say?
7:51
I think we're going to go longer here.
7:53
We're going to have John Little from the silver Academy joining
7:56
us. He's going to give us his
7:57
specific thoughts on when silver's going to get new all
8:00
time highs. But up up.
8:01
You know what, hold on here, guys, and I apologize to
8:05
everybody. There he is.
8:06
Let's bring John on. What the heck hold?
8:09
On here. Hey, John.
8:11
So I met Daniel just now and then.
8:14
Hey, I see. Is that a Vince Lancey T-shirt?
8:16
I see. What's?
8:17
You got it, John. Hey.
8:18
Yeah, VBL's ghost baby. Oh yeah, he's the best known,
8:22
but no one is better than Ron. He's got energy.
8:26
I remember when he said I'm going to do one podcast today
8:30
for a year and you ended up doing 2 years I.
8:34
Mean now I'm in my third year. I need to do that with some kind
8:37
of diet and like I could be like, well anyway, let's talk
8:42
about silver. I have a crazy number that's
8:45
just based on Jim Rickards recently talked about $27,000
8:50
gold. And the reason he's doing that,
8:52
he's tying that to the M1 money supply.
8:55
And then just you take the divide that by what US says it
9:00
has in gold and you solve the debt crisis.
9:03
You can solve the $35 trillion debt just by re evaluating gold
9:08
and then I came up with 2 1/2 percent of the gold price to
9:13
come up with like a $600.00 silver.
9:16
I know that sounds absurd, but Ron, we got to remember it's
9:19
about 50 years ago that Nixon shut the gold window.
9:22
It went from 35 bucks to 2500 yesterday.
9:27
In 53 years. That's 174 X move and you know,
9:33
so it's conceivable we'll see during a bull run, silver and
9:37
gold can go up to do you guys ever see that guy Grata he on
9:42
Twitter and he does those 3 phases of the bull runs and it's
9:46
usually it's violent when it occurs.
9:49
And silver and gold have been chopping sideways forever, what,
9:52
at least five years, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
9:54
But think about when it comes to silver, John, I'll repeat it for
9:58
the third time. From 2001 to 2011, during the
10:02
last bear market in the US dollar, silver went from $5 to
10:06
$50. Silver went up 10 times.
10:09
I mean, that wasn't that long ago.
10:11
So, so to think that, you know, silver could, if silver went up,
10:15
and I'm not saying that it will, but it could go up 10 times from
10:20
where we are right now, we'd be looking at $300.00 silver.
10:22
Exactly, and let's add to this very important fact.
10:25
Most people forget that yes, silver and gold have been money
10:29
for well let's let's just say 2500 years.
10:32
The first coins of Lydia during the Peloponnesian War is 500 BC.
10:37
It's that famous al coin from the mines of Lorian Sparta
10:41
versus Athens. So let's say 2500 years.
10:45
But you got to remember silver is an industrial metal.
10:47
This is only come in since the industrial revolution.
10:51
We didn't have electricity in the 1600s, the 1700s, the the
10:55
current wars, Tesla versus Edison, that that happened only
10:59
about 100 years ago. So now we have these new uses
11:02
for silver, for conductivity, reflectivity, solar generation,
11:10
weapons. Everything comes from the
11:11
military. That's the Internet started from
11:14
the military. Crypto started from the
11:16
military, rockets started in the military, you know, jets,
11:21
everything that that it's basically it's subsidized
11:24
research and development for the private sector.
11:27
That's what they call technology transfer.
11:29
So now in a perfect storm, we're seeing all these new uses for
11:33
silver that weren't around 100 years ago.
11:37
And meanwhile there's no new silver discoveries.
11:39
And Mexico is just last week they're passing a law banning
11:45
open pit mining. It's the only way you can mine
11:48
silver economically because the ore grade is so shitty now.
11:53
It used to be me, you Rod. We could have our pickaxe and a
11:56
wheelbarrow and out of every ton we'd get 40 ounces of silver.
12:01
Now you're lucky to get 1. So it's it's like dust.
12:04
So you ban open pit mining it it's and you know, the
12:08
politicians in Mexico are smart. They're they got their hand out.
12:11
They're saying we want more money from these Canadian
12:13
investors. You know your Fortunas and your
12:16
and they're good companies, but, and they do have a lot of silver
12:20
underground, but they're going to make them.
12:22
They're going to nationalize silver.
12:23
I know that's a rumor, but it's been substantiated.
12:26
Anyone can follow the Department of Secretary of Environment
12:30
Maria Luisa Alvarez Gonzalez. She's on Twitter.
12:33
She's talking about this grassroots movement of peasants,
12:37
environmentalists, intellectuals, campesinos,
12:41
agricultural workers, and they don't want to let N Americans
12:46
rob them of their silver. That is their national treasure.
12:49
So. Yeah.
12:50
I'm just saying dwindling supply, spiking demand, these AI
12:55
data centers are just going to gobble up what's last energy.
12:58
There is, and there's still no better conductor of of any of
13:03
the energy besides silver. And, and, and all those factors
13:07
you just mentioned, if you look at the last two times that we
13:10
hit $50.00 and silver, 2011 and 1980, whether you're looking at
13:15
the supply factors that you mentioned, the dwindling supply
13:19
or the demand factors, all this new to, I, I think it's safe to
13:22
say that the, the, the factors that are in play now are much
13:26
more critical and exaggerated than what we saw back then.
13:31
And I want to pull up and, and right before and next thing
13:34
we're going to do guys is take the, take the blindfold off the
13:37
bear. But I want to, I want to show a
13:39
chart that I'll that I think really drive home with John just
13:42
talked about. And if I have it right, that's
13:45
the 16 ounces of silver we're giving away on August 31st.
13:49
There's a link to where you can get on the giveaway in the
13:51
description of this video. There it is right there that
13:55
that shows all the world silver where it comes from.
13:57
And that big BLOB right there is Mexico.
14:01
I mean, really literally almost twice as much as anybody else.
14:05
And it's already going down, right, John?
14:07
The amount of silver's down. For sure.
14:09
The ore grade, it's just all about the ore grade.
14:12
Like I said, per ton used to be one that long ago a ton of what
14:17
we would call just raw grade, we could get 40 oz out of a ton and
14:22
now it's under, it's about one ounce.
14:25
So it's gone that the ore grade's horrible.
14:28
That's why. That's why the good miners talk
14:30
about I we have high grade. Not one of them will.
14:34
They all say they have high grade.
14:36
The the low hanging fruit. Is it safe to say the low
14:39
hanging fruit when it comes to silver is gone?
14:41
I know it's Trooper Gold as well.
14:42
For sure. Yeah, this happened with every
14:45
single, even coal at one point. That's what crashed England's
14:51
economy when the grade got deteriorated to where it's.
14:55
It's no different than oil. Steve Saint Angelo talks about
14:57
it better than anyone else when he talks about the, what is it?
15:03
The Permian Basin is Midland, Odessa, Hobbs, and then there's
15:06
North Dakota. That's the Bakken formation.
15:09
The the, the, the crude grade is so bad that the energy you have
15:14
to put in, it's called the energy return on energy.
15:17
Invested oil should be twice. You think silver's manipulated
15:22
oil should be twice the price that it is, which is only going
15:25
to drive the price of silver higher?
15:26
Yeah, and there's a lot of energy that goes into digging
15:31
one of these out of the ground, right?
15:33
I mean, a lot of energy. I know bald, bald guy, money.
15:37
When we talk, he likes to remind me that these are energy.
15:41
Their batteries, they don't store electricity, but these
15:43
Silver Oz store store a lot of energy, a lot of previous work.
15:47
That I just wrote a story on Samsung's new battery kills the
15:51
lithium ion. All right, the lithium ion in a
15:54
Tesla, you only get 300 mile range with the Samsung silver
15:58
battery, 600 miles. So they doubled the range.
16:01
Yeah. The charge time on a on a
16:03
lithium is 35 minutes. This is cut down in 9 minutes.
16:08
OK then the lifespan instead of being 5 to 10 years is like 20
16:12
years. So now you got double the life.
16:15
Cut your charge time in half and it's it weighs a shit ton less.
16:19
There's those are like 1500 lbs in a Tesla.
16:23
It's all battery weight. But John, John, you're missing
16:27
the the the kicker, the big the most important part about that
16:31
new battery. What is it?
16:33
It's silver. Yeah.
16:36
So when you said you held the thing and you said I know it's
16:39
not a store of energy, it actually is.
16:41
Yeah. Silver zinc batteries.
16:43
That's how you can't switch out a lithium battery underwater
16:47
like in a torpedo or submarine, because that's why you saw
16:52
Tesla's exploding during the hurricane season.
16:55
Water does not mix with lithium and ion.
16:59
It's got to be a silver zinc battery.
17:02
That's why it works in the Torpedo so well.
17:04
But but these is it and I'm reading different estimates, but
17:07
these new batteries that could be used in EVs that Samsung's
17:11
developed that you just referred to, what I'm hearing is they
17:14
could they would require up to as much as one kilogram of one.
17:18
Kilogram per per car and which I think is really low estimate
17:22
because again, I told you that the weight of a battery is over
17:27
1500 lbs. So just one kilo of that being
17:30
silver, that's pretty damn efficient.
17:33
But and and you don't think the consumers going to have a vote
17:36
on that to say I'd rather have the battery that goes twice as
17:39
far and and takes no time to charge 10 minutes and I get
17:45
double the life. Pretty soon you're going to see
17:47
Tesla's just pulled over to the side of the road because there
17:50
it's made more expensive to change the battery out than the
17:53
value of the car. That's why there is no, I mean,
17:56
and and they're storing them. Just just go to the Silver
17:59
Academy. We have pictures.
18:00
Of yeah, I want to, I want to mention right now when I go
18:03
back, as we have almost 600 people with us, do a
18:05
reintroduction of who's with us today.
18:07
We have John Little from the Silver Academy, the Silver
18:10
Academy Substack, He puts out an excellent piece of journalistic
18:15
work on a daily basis. It's free.
18:18
There are some paid options, but the free free option as well.
18:23
There's a link to his sub stack in the description of this
18:26
video. We have coin shop Chris, coin
18:29
shop Chris YouTube channel coin shop Chris.
18:32
He's new, he's growing. He's the fastest growing
18:35
precious metals YouTube channel in the universe.
18:37
OK, we have the one and only legendary figure in the gold and
18:41
silver community and a big supporter of the channel.
18:44
Coin shop Chris has been as well, but Jake from Jake's
18:47
custom parts, he knows a lot of people out there in gold and
18:52
silver. I'll, I'll leave it at that.
18:53
A lot, a lot of people. Daniel Diaz, executive director
18:56
at Citizens for Sound money, right.
18:58
They are pushing and working tirelessly to get gold and
19:03
silver back into Americans hands is real money.
19:07
A lot of legislative legislative efforts and everything as well.
19:10
But without further ado, I've strung everyone along here for
19:13
20 minutes. I'm going to do the, the
19:15
unblindfolding of the bear and then we'll come back for some
19:19
more discussions, guys. But a couple people asked me to
19:22
give a quick, quick history of the bear.
19:24
So let me let me pull up a picture of the day we got the
19:28
bear. This was a Saturday morning
19:32
about seven years ago. Those are my twin daughters,
19:35
Evelyn and Lillian. We were at a garage sale.
19:38
There was a, a really nice old man and my daughters of course
19:42
fell in love with the biggest stuffed animal in the world.
19:46
And he, he gave it to us for like $3 and he told me it was a
19:49
very special bear. So we, we brought it home.
19:52
Was right around when I started Ron's basement.
19:55
And when when I started the Channel Gold, it was like
19:59
February 2022, the gold price was doing really well, went up
20:03
to like $2000. But then immediately went into a
20:07
bear market, went down to like 1600 and I, I came up with this
20:11
idea that the bear was the gold bear was responsible for the
20:15
bear marketing gold. At that point it's $1600 gold.
20:18
We blindfolded him and wrote 2500 and promised everyone that
20:24
we would take the blindfold off at $2500 gold and that was when
20:29
the spot price of gold closed above $2500 on a Friday.
20:34
It happened sooner than I think most people thought that it
20:38
would, but it did happen just yesterday, Friday August 16th of
20:42
2024. So we are going to take the
20:45
right now the blindfold off the bear and see if there's any
20:48
surprise behind that blindfold. So bear with me, pardon the pun
20:52
for one second. And yes, I'm wearing a swimsuit,
20:55
but this is it. The the big moment.
20:58
Ah, there he is. OK, there's the bears eyes.
21:06
Somebody in the comments said, I can't believe I'm, I'm watching
21:09
on a Saturday night a bear getting his blindfold removed.
21:14
I was surprised when I pulled it off that the bear actually has 1
21:19
silver eye. So he is keeping his eye on
21:22
silver as we've been discussing here today up behind me, let's
21:28
see right there is the silver bear which coin shop Chris set
21:34
up for me. He's got a $85 target.
21:37
You know, we're, we're waiting for that.
21:38
Chris, do you when, when do you think we're going to get to that
21:41
$85 target price and silver? Hopefully sooner than later on,
21:47
you know, maybe by the end of 2025.
21:51
Yeah, you think so? Think it's possible?
21:54
Oh yeah, he. Sounds very possible.
21:56
That sounds very possible. Yeah, I agree.
22:00
When we're looking, what do, what do you think, Jake?
22:02
Do you think we could get to $85 silver possibly next year?
22:08
Depending on Everything Goes with bricks, I think we might be
22:11
able to see it before Christmas of this year would be my
22:13
prediction. Wow.
22:16
Yeah, go, go ahead, Daniel. What people are asking about the
22:20
other $2500 bear the white. 10 That's the platinum bear.
22:26
He doesn't get enough love. Yeah, he he sits there.
22:29
Where is he? Right there.
22:31
Right on top of the Pembex box. And yeah, he's the he's the
22:35
platinum bear. He doesn't get much attention,
22:38
but we'll, you know, we'll, we'll we'll shift to him once we
22:41
get this $85 silver price out of the way.
22:46
Yeah, Let's talk about this Bricks meeting October 22nd and
22:49
23rd. Anybody have any thoughts on
22:52
that? There's this idea that we could
22:54
hear about a gold backed trade settlement currency, the unit.
22:58
What do you guys think about that?
23:00
From what I've read, I've read multiple articles where they
23:05
said the Goldback currency is still a little bit down the
23:08
road. What they're going to introduce
23:10
is a way to instantly transfer, kind of like ACBDC rails
23:14
instantly transfer their currency, whatever that currency
23:18
is. And it's going to be backed by
23:20
all the BRICS nation's currencies in different
23:22
proportions from my understanding.
23:24
But I think that we might if they put gold in it, great.
23:29
But I from what I have read the gold CBDC or bricks currency is
23:34
still a little down the road. Interesting.
23:39
Any other thoughts? Well, what?
23:41
Yeah, Ron. Go ahead, go.
23:42
Ahead. Oh yeah.
23:43
So Ron, so on Chris Marcus's channel with Matt Riley on two
23:48
of those interviews, he's done it where they're going to hold
23:52
40% physical gold and then the rest of 60% is going to be the
23:58
currencies amongst the BRICS nations to try to, you know,
24:05
balance out their accounts and stabilize their government.
24:08
So, you know, they can do a 40% gold back of physical that that
24:13
probably explains why the last couple years, you know, all the
24:16
central banks have been stockpiling the hell out of gold
24:19
and running around the world, especially South America with
24:24
the, what's it called, the OTC market, which a lot of people
24:28
don't hear about. When they said, you know, last
24:31
month or two that China wasn't buying gold, well, they were,
24:34
they just not buying it through normal markets.
24:37
But when the OTC and they can go around different countries and
24:40
pick up silver ore or gold or something on the kind of like
24:44
call it on the side. Yeah, If it's not through the
24:46
markets, you can pick it up cheap.
24:47
And supposedly, it sounds like China and India are paying a
24:51
whole lot more money for it than the United States or, you know,
24:54
beating out other countries for the bid.
24:57
So it's going to get interesting in the next couple weeks.
25:00
And let me comment on that. If they do surprise the world
25:04
and actually back a digital currency with 40% gold, that's
25:08
going to devastate the dollar. I mean, Gresham's Law is going
25:12
to kick in. Bad money pushes out good money.
25:15
People are going to start dumping the dollar and buying
25:17
this gold backed currency. And you know what's going to
25:20
happen then if all the liquidity is going into a different
25:22
currency, that means the dollar is going to come back home.
25:25
Creative inflationary event. People are going to dump it.
25:27
Country's going to dump it and back their currencies and their
25:32
trades and their, their swap lines with this gold backed
25:35
currency. I mean, I, I know I would, I
25:37
mean, I, I was contemplating buying the, the Zig dollar
25:40
because it's backed by gold. And, you know, and look at
25:43
what's happening to Zimbabwe a year after they introduced the
25:47
Zig dollar. They are, they've gone through a
25:49
deflationary event. Their economy is getting
25:51
stronger. The, the central, the head of
25:53
the Central Bank of Zimbabwe was complaining about deflation.
25:56
Well, that's what happens when you introduce gold to your
25:58
currency, you know, so that's, I don't know if if they do
26:02
surprise everybody, it's it's really bad news and it's going
26:06
to coincide with the 1.5 a 150 base points in October.
26:13
And if that comes out, man, it's going to be real bad news for
26:17
the economy here in the US. Yeah, interesting.
26:20
What do you think, John? I think your guests are today
26:24
are brilliant. I I would agree that we're not
26:27
going to know the hour. That's sort of that project
26:30
Sandman's about where you just flip the switch when you least
26:33
expect it. And I agree with the citizens
26:38
for sound money. That's Daniel, correct.
26:40
And by the way, that's great work you do along with the sound
26:44
money defense league. The way you guys go state to
26:46
state, my hat's off to you because when silver has that use
26:51
dual use of monetary and industrial, that's when we'll
26:54
really see a bull run. But I would agree that it's that
26:58
those dollars of course come washing back.
27:00
We only have but the military to defend the dollar now and that's
27:05
perhaps why we're involved today.
27:07
I believe the Palantir CEO warned of A3 front war, one in
27:12
Israel, one in China, one in Russia.
27:15
Obviously the military industrial complex is been
27:19
assigned to just back that dollar and and just beat
27:23
everyone over the head with a stick and and force them to use
27:26
it because it makes no sense. I was telling the gal the other
27:29
day that you put an ounce of gold in your purse.
27:34
What is that on the conversion? 28g or 32 grams I can't
27:37
remember. It's a 31.1035.
27:40
OK. Thank you.
27:41
It's a gram of gold, gets you a barrel of oil you're getting
27:46
from just that one coin. It's like having 31 barrels of,
27:50
you know, oil in your purse. So if you put ten of those in
27:53
your purse, you know, that's 300 and some barrels of oil.
27:58
I mean, talk about just the there's just nothing the
28:03
strategy to have something so and they can buy more oil now
28:09
through the gold proxy than they ever could with the US dollar.
28:13
So this is just pure economics, 5th grade style.
28:17
You know, that's what I like about it.
28:19
Hey, I've got about a fifth grade brain right now.
28:24
I want to throw something in John that that that that I
28:27
thought when you thought when you were speaking two things.
28:31
There's no other nothing compares to to silver or gold,
28:36
right? The to to an ounce of silver or
28:38
an ounce of gold when it comes to the convenience and ease of
28:43
investing in real assets because because if I want to invest in
28:46
oil right, it's going to be really hard for me to stack up.
28:49
Susie is not going to be happy if I bring 30 barrels of oil
28:53
down into the basement. OK, but I can do that with with
28:58
with with essentially with silver and gold.
29:01
The other thing is, and I was having a conversation with this
29:04
guy, Keith Weiner from monetary metals the other day, and I'd
29:07
never thought of this when we were talking that, that it's
29:10
also it's so universally available, right?
29:14
Silver and gold are there. It's they're they're they're
29:17
they're may, they may not be the biggest markets in terms of
29:21
dollars, but I think they're the biggest markets in terms of the
29:24
number of humans on the planet that participate in them.
29:28
I mean, hey, we all all of us here, right?
29:31
Are Coin chop, Chris, all of us, Jake, Daniel, Ron, John, we all
29:36
have I'm sure some varying degrees of Oz of silver and
29:41
gold, but it's not just us. So we're, we're participating in
29:43
that market every day. Do I want to keep it?
29:46
Do I want to hold it? Do I want to buy more, sell it?
29:49
But it's also that poor farmer in India that maybe has 5 ounces
29:54
of silver, millions and billions of people throughout the world
29:58
that that are participating in the gold and silver market that
30:01
make it in some ways one of the smarter markets in the world.
30:07
Yeah, you're you just described that gold is very liquid.
30:10
There is the most liquid asset in the history of I mean in
30:14
every, all of us have emergencies every now and then.
30:16
I've it breaks my heart, but there's been times in the last
30:20
12 months where I've had to sell an ounce of gold.
30:23
But getting that $2000 paycheck when you don't, when you need to
30:27
get that just whatever a tax bill comes that you weren't
30:30
expected or whatever medical bill or a Co payment of some
30:34
sort or you know, it's so fungible.
30:37
It's it is portable. It is divisible.
30:40
It's all the things that Mister Alistair McLeod, that genius
30:43
intellectual says it is or Mike Maloney in this.
30:46
What was that series called on YouTube, the hidden secrets of
30:49
money. I think it's a great series for
30:53
anyone new you, you can learn just as much as the four of us
30:57
here just listening to that YouTube series.
31:00
It's well with your time, Yeah. What else you got, Ron?
31:04
As far as your projection, let's ask you what do you got?
31:08
You know, I, I don't have a strong feeling about gold. back
31:11
in December, I had predicted that I thought we would get to
31:13
2500 by May, which we didn't get there, but we got close, right?
31:19
Oh, I am saying I think that my, my gut feel right.
31:22
And look, I don't have a fancy chart.
31:24
I read all the fancy charts. I listen to people like you.
31:27
I listen to a lot of smart people.
31:29
I kind of also like to look at, I think and you guys touched on
31:34
this, I think that we are in a precarious situation right now
31:37
in the world and that your average American is clueless
31:42
about what's going on. I mean, we have we have the the
31:48
mainland of Russia being invaded right now, right?
31:52
I mean, that's a big deal. And, and, and I think that to a
31:56
certain degree, it's safe to say that the United States is
31:59
involved with that. I mean, they are.
32:00
I mean, this is like you talk about what could go on with the
32:03
bricks. You talk about what could go on
32:05
with the world monetary system. And and it's like these are
32:08
these are really massive big times when it when it go ahead,
32:13
Daniel. You know, and then look at
32:15
what's going on in the UK that mean there might be a civil war
32:18
in the UK and, and Sweden and Poland, you know, the, the the
32:22
Europeans are fighting off Muslim immigrants and it's
32:26
getting violent. It is not including Ukraine, not
32:28
including Iran and Israel. It's getting destabilizing.
32:31
And historically, when the world destabilizes, everybody gets
32:35
into gold and silver and the bounce off of what John Little
32:38
was saying and what you were saying.
32:39
Yeah, gold coins and silver coins and absolutely fantastic.
32:42
I'm an advocate of asset backed digital currencies, digital
32:46
tokens back one to one and redeemable for physical gold and
32:49
silver. And I'm also a big proponent of
32:51
gold backs. I love gold backs.
32:53
If you can get a picture, there you go.
32:54
This right here. I can.
32:56
I paid a cleaning lady. She reached out to me because I
32:58
was selling gold backs like hey, I'll, I'll clean your house for
33:01
gold backs. It's liquid and it's small
33:03
denominations. Each one of these right now is
33:05
$5.17. My first time I bought a gold
33:08
back unless than a year ago. Yep, there you go $3.92 it's up
33:15
to $5 and and 17 cents now. And it's a great way to use your
33:20
gold and silver like currency and liquid cash.
33:23
And we're you know, I'm also an authorized partner with Alpine
33:27
Gold Exchange and I'm signing up merchants here in Florida to
33:29
accept gold and silver. I'm up to like 7 merchants now.
33:33
And as more merchants start accepting gold and silver as
33:36
money as it's always been intended, these gold backs,
33:39
there's fractional liquid just as cash.
33:41
So the, the future is looking very bright.
33:44
People are going to be able to start using real money once
33:47
again. And if we get this legislation
33:49
passed across the country, there's nothing stopping the,
33:52
the, the potential growth of gold and silver as as money
33:57
again and store value. So.
34:01
Yeah, yeah. It was interesting.
34:02
I read the other day that there's a new gold and silver
34:05
vault depository that was built in Idaho that can store more
34:09
metal than what can be stored at Fort Knox.
34:12
And I thought my point was, what is this telling us?
34:15
I mean, this is telling me that there's demand out there for
34:20
people to store their silver and gold, so.
34:23
Yeah, and he didn't open this thing in like man, Midtown
34:26
Manhattan. This is in Eagle, ID in the
34:29
middle of the, you know, probably the least populated
34:32
state in the United. Well, that North Dakota that
34:35
you're right, Ron, that is a great, what would you call that?
34:39
An indicator like the Canary? And that's one thing I do want
34:43
to emphasize too with gold and silver is just how private it
34:46
is. I've had so many trouble with my
34:48
bank lately and just getting verified and seen it.
34:54
Everything is so easy for Uncle Sam and the IRS and any forensic
35:00
person, you're guilty until proven innocent.
35:04
Every transit right now we worry about the CBDC.
35:07
Well, it's sort of already here. Just look at an online bank and
35:11
and we got to remember the next wars.
35:14
You know, sure, there's kinetic wars, but if they are going to
35:16
be cyber wars and you just can't hack someone's gold and when the
35:20
energy grid goes down, you know, gold and silver still shine in
35:25
the candlelight, unlike, you know, Bitcoin.
35:28
And, and we look at how warfare is being conducted now and it's
35:32
drones, small drones with explosives killing soldiers.
35:35
I mean, it's going to all going to be electronic.
35:37
Where is all that silver going to come from?
35:39
Where is all all the materials copper?
35:41
You know what I think is going to happen over the next five
35:44
years? There's going to be a commodity
35:46
boom. You got AI that needs
35:48
electricity and they're, they're already tapping out the, the
35:51
infrastructure here at the Bitcoin conference 2020 four,
35:54
Trump was talking about decreasing regulations so we can
35:59
get nuclear power or uranium's probably going to go up.
36:02
And so all the, the materials needed for energy creation, it's
36:07
going to skyrocket. I think it might be an
36:09
interesting time to start maybe buying up some copper, buying up
36:11
some uranium, because the way that we're going with energy, I
36:15
mean, we to the amount of energy it takes to run one query on
36:20
ChatGPT is 17 times more than doing a Google search.
36:24
Right. You know, I used MGPT hundreds
36:27
of times a day. I'm using a lot of power.
36:29
Oh yeah. And if you go and look at a data
36:32
center, I just did, I'm doing a story Monday on this topic,
36:35
Daniel, some of these data centers have 100,000 servers and
36:42
each of those servers has a fan on it and they all need to be
36:45
cooled and miles of cable and there's aluminum.
36:49
There's 2700 data centers in the United States.
36:53
It's and these data centers that what you know what's running AII
36:56
was a crypto miner before I got into this precious metal space
36:59
and I was doing a theory mining. I had hundreds of GPUs.
37:03
I'm a small fish, but the amount of aluminum in every GPU, the
37:06
amount of copper, the amount of gold because of the the
37:09
fillings. I mean, it's AI is just going to
37:12
keep growing and growing, growing.
37:14
And you know, aluminum stocks too.
37:15
I mean start buying aluminum futures.
37:17
I mean, it's probably a great time right now before the bull
37:20
market really takes off to start getting into real commodities
37:23
across the board. Oh.
37:24
For sure cop you great call Daniel on copper B it's copper's
37:28
the new silver. I mean seriously, it's it's also
37:32
antimicrobial. It's it it's physical properties
37:35
are just almost there silver, but it can't be used in a solar
37:40
panel because it doesn't have the reflectivity like silver
37:43
does. That's why silver's used in
37:46
mirrors. Hey guys, I got to run, but it's
37:48
still good to be surrounded by all you.
37:50
I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm fans of these guys too.
37:54
Yeah. Hey, John, I want to mention to
37:56
our audience because we have, we have 700 people with us right
37:58
now, John, signing off. This is John Little from the
38:02
Silver Academy Substack. Just go in your Google search
38:06
bar and type in the Silver Academy Substack.
38:09
Thank you, Ron. And, and by the way, on the,
38:12
there is a paid version, but all the content, there's no
38:16
differentiation between what a free user gets.
38:20
But here's what I did, because Charles will come in.
38:23
I just set it to where if you want to make a comment, you have
38:26
to pay. So it's free.
38:28
It's there's no paywall every day.
38:30
It's two stories a day on silver every single day and even
38:33
Sundays. Yeah, he's he's, he's like me.
38:36
He's a daily content guy. And it's if you watch Ron's
38:40
basement, you know that multiple times every week.
38:43
I'm talking about an article that I got from the Silver
38:47
Academy. So do yourself a favor.
38:49
Thanks, John. Thanks.
38:50
For your support. Hey, Jake.
38:51
Jake, it's good to see you and not just in the chat room.
38:54
And Daniel, I'm glad I got to talk to you too.
38:57
And coin shot, Chris. Well, I don't see his face, but
38:59
coin shot Chris, I will check out your YouTube channel and you
39:02
got to come. I'm starting a podcast soon like
39:05
I'll have you guys on too. OK.
39:06
Thanks, John. I appreciate it.
39:08
Thank. You see you.
39:09
Thanks, John. Yeah, bye, Bye.
39:11
Bye bye. Bye, bye.
39:13
So, so as John was speaking and I'm thinking about silver and,
39:16
and, and Daniel's one, Daniel can probably comment on this.
39:19
When I think about the, the fact that, that this, that this AI
39:24
ChatGPT does take 17 times and I've heard 12 * / 20 times as
39:29
much energy computing power to do a, a, a search or a query as
39:36
opposed to Google and all these massive data centers that are
39:40
all over the world. And we don't see them, right?
39:42
Because they're kind of hidden. They're in off, you know,
39:44
they're, they're, they're, but they're everywhere inside of
39:47
every. Is it safe for me to say, and I
39:50
want your opinion on this guys, that when I look at these data
39:53
centers, I can also think that there's, you know, hundreds, if
39:56
not thousands of Oz of silver inside each of those data
40:00
centers. We know there's pounds and
40:02
pounds of copper, but there's also maybe hundreds or thousands
40:06
of pounds of silver inside of each of.
40:08
One of those data centers and the number is just continuing to
40:11
expand. Yeah, 100%.
40:14
I mean, it's mostly copper, but there's definitely, I mean
40:16
there's definitely gold. There's gold in every single one
40:18
of these. What should we call it, GPUs
40:22
that they're using industrial grade and non industrial grade.
40:25
So, and there's definitely silver inside of them as well.
40:29
So they're just going to keep manufacturing and manufacturing,
40:31
manufacturing. We're going to get to a point
40:33
where there's just not enough materials to continue creating
40:37
energy generation and creating new Transformers and creating
40:41
new power plants and everything. You know, I was listening to
40:45
somebody yesterday about how we're going to probably be
40:49
building a much stronger relationship with Canada because
40:52
Canada has so much. What is the water, the dams,
40:57
hydro, hydropower, they have so much hydropower and we're going
41:00
to need that much power if we're going to be the AI capital of
41:03
the world. So it's, you know, I really
41:06
think physical, physical assets is a great time to invest from,
41:12
from, you know, not just precious metals, but base metals
41:16
too. Yeah.
41:17
Well, and if you think about it, you know, to get back to the one
41:20
real base fundamental reasons why we love silver, we love
41:24
gold, we love copper, any real asset, there's only so much of
41:29
these assets on the planet here. We can say that definitively.
41:32
There is, you know, there's a certain amount of silver and
41:34
gold that is above ground. There's a certain amount that
41:37
remains in the ground, but there's only a certain amount
41:40
and the paper, right, This stuff, right, this
41:44
electronically. And like this can be, can be
41:47
made into Infinity and it has. And we've seen what's happened,
41:50
right? Yeah.
41:52
This is real money, no? But we know, but we know what's
41:55
happened with this since 1971 versus gold, it's lost, you
41:59
know, probably 99% now of its quote UN quote value versus gold
42:05
versus silver versus probably you know to a certain degree
42:08
most other real assets. So, you know, it's I think it
42:12
just it gives us, I think at times the silver and gold
42:16
investors because we are such a for now minority in this
42:20
country, you know, we can feel maybe frustrated, but it's
42:25
important for us to remember these things.
42:27
Coin shop. Chris, are you still with us?
42:29
I'm still here, Ron. I'm just going to make a few
42:31
points. You know, I see a lot of people
42:33
come in from time to time. You know, they see the price go
42:37
up and they have no plans for the cash.
42:40
You got to have a plan for the cash if you're going to if you
42:44
need it, fine. If you don't need it, your
42:46
mouth, hang on to your precious metals.
42:49
And another point is get to know your local farmers, get to know
42:54
your local butchers, get to know your local restaurants and ask
42:58
them if they will take silver or gold as payment now, because
43:03
when the system crashes, you know, it's better to give up a
43:06
little bit of silver now. Get them used to taking the
43:09
silver and gold train. Train the owners if you have to,
43:13
and tell them to watch our YouTube videos and have them
43:17
learn. Have them watch Andy Shakman.
43:19
Have them watch what that thing have them watch Ron's basement.
43:22
You know what? Have them watch coin shop Chris.
43:25
And you know, that way we can all learn that silver and gold's
43:29
actually real money. The time is now and how much
43:33
time we have. We don't.
43:35
I don't. I can't tell you that.
43:37
Yeah. I don't.
43:38
I don't think we have much time. No.
43:41
Well, I don't Lynette Zhang and I'm going to have her on here in
43:45
a couple weeks again. Lynette Zhang, I asked her last
43:49
time she was on. I said, why does it feel like
43:51
everything is so crazy in the world, right?
43:54
It really does. It feels crazy, she said.
43:58
And I liked how she said this. She said that's because we're
44:01
getting near the end, and when things get near the end, they
44:04
get really crazy. And, you know, it's easy to
44:07
recognize that after it all happens, you know, And again, I
44:11
don't want to say all the sky is falling, Chicken Little,
44:14
everybody, you know, who knows, right?
44:16
I mean, we could be wrong, but it sure feels crazy.
44:18
And I think it's a lot easier to look back.
44:21
It's like with recessions, right?
44:23
They never say, oh, we're in a recession.
44:24
They always do it like six months later, Like, oh, well,
44:27
the recession actually started at this point.
44:29
That that, that, that things are, are are, you know, the
44:33
reason why things feel crazy is because we could be nearing a,
44:36
you know, a situation where things get really crazy.
44:40
Yeah. You know, I, yeah, I think
44:44
another way that we can look at the potential growth of gold and
44:47
silver. I just put it, I just posted a
44:48
link of an image. The correlation between the
44:52
amount of paper dollars being printed and the increase in
44:56
price of gold are it's not one to one, but it's a probably
45:00
8590% correlated because if you look at the national debt over
45:05
the last 10 years, 10 years ago, we're at $14 trillion in debt.
45:10
We're at $35 trillion at of debt today.
45:14
That's over a 100% return when you look at gold, If you look at
45:20
gold at I think 10 years ago it was maybe.
45:24
Is this? Is this the chart that I pull it
45:25
up? Yep, that's it right there. 10
45:28
years ago gold was probably around 1516 100 and now we're at
45:33
25. Gold has gone up well over 100%.
45:38
It probably closer to $1200 when I think 10 years ago.
45:41
I forget I looked at the chart but I wrote a post two days ago
45:46
about CPI and shadow stats inflation.
45:50
Right? I only went back to 2020.
45:52
Shadow stats says that real inflation rate through the end
45:56
of 2023 was 49.74%. If you look at the price of gold
46:02
as of two days ago, the the beginning of 2020 to the end of
46:07
2023 goes up 54%. What feels more real that that
46:12
CPI? We've only had 16% inflation or
46:15
we've had 4 / 49% inflation. Gold is keeping up with
46:19
inflation and it's the best asset you can put your your
46:22
economic energy, your, your wealth, your wages into to
46:25
preserve your your purchasing power.
46:28
And if you want to predict if the if we lower rates and we do
46:32
quantitative easing again, I can see gold going to the 3004
46:37
thousand $5000. If we do quantitative easing
46:39
again, the correlation is way too close between the printing
46:43
of the dollar and the value of gold.
46:46
Yeah, absolutely. I mean, I like to think of if,
46:48
if you, if you envision all the gold in the world in one pile
46:54
and you envision all the dollars in the world in one pile, you
46:59
can't just increase that pile of gold, but they can easily double
47:02
or triple that pile of dollars. And that just makes the gold
47:06
that much more valuable. And there's no other way to look
47:09
at it. All right, guys.
47:10
I think does anybody have any closing remarks, Jake, anything
47:14
you want to say before we wrap things up here?
47:17
Yeah, I do want to remind everybody, don't forget just
47:20
more than a week or so ago, we had Japan almost start a
47:25
waterfall. It didn't take much.
47:27
They barely raised the interest rates.
47:29
You better keep your eye on that.
47:30
We got commercial real estate in the United States.
47:34
We got all kinds of deficit issues.
47:36
If the slightest pullback on the stock market, say 1520% comes in
47:41
the next month or so before or around October, man, it's really
47:45
going to get exciting. So get your popcorn in your, get
47:48
your pizzas ready because it's going to be inner.
47:51
And and stack, stack as much as possible.
47:53
I was telling Ron before we got on, I am almost out of cash.
47:57
I am buying as much gold and silver physical as I can digital
48:00
and I think there's going to be a major bull run.
48:03
So yeah. Well, Jake, I'm sorry, we're not
48:06
ramping things up because now I'm going to go just a few more
48:08
minutes because Jake, I appreciate you bringing that up.
48:12
I've been, I've been banging the table.
48:14
Japan is the third largest economy in the world.
48:17
Their stock market went down almost 13 percent in one day and
48:23
then did you, did you guys notice it just like magically
48:26
got fixed within? A yeah, I got papered over.
48:29
Yeah, I got papered over. Yeah.
48:31
I mean, if, if the system is that delicate right now, that
48:35
fragile, that like, I mean, you know, the world was ending on
48:38
Monday and by Thursday everything was fine again.
48:42
To me that just indicates that if, if they can't allow they,
48:47
they, you know, capitalism is based on some pain, right?
48:50
The, the losers lose and, and there's prices to be paid.
48:53
If they can't allow the system that they have to paper over
48:56
everything and react so quickly, how do you think they're going
49:00
to react when that happens to the United States?
49:01
Like Jake was just saying, right, They're going to print,
49:04
man. They're, that's all they're
49:05
going to, they're going to, it's, it's becoming, they're,
49:08
things are happening faster and at a much more extreme level.
49:12
And I think that that's up to and including quantitative
49:15
easing, papering over things. What did they do when we had the
49:19
what did they do 16 months ago when we had these banks that
49:22
went bad, right. Remember Sunday night and the
49:25
world was ending and and you know, oh, well, we have the BTF,
49:28
the bank term funding program. And, you know, we'll just paper
49:32
over everything. Paper over.
49:33
Yeah, yeah, right. We can't, we can't let any pain
49:36
happen, right. But every time they do it, they
49:39
just perpetuate and make bigger the underlying problems.
49:44
And I could go on for out. But, I mean, it started with the
49:46
tech bubble. It was very accentuated during
49:49
the great financial crisis. And eventually, you know,
49:53
eventually Rick Rule, I had him on a few weeks ago, said, you
49:56
know, the hens come home to roost.
49:58
And when they do, you know, I mean, you can only fight gravity
50:02
for so long, right? You know, you can only keep it
50:05
anyway. It's going to be, yeah.
50:08
Yeah. And also one other thing, Ron.
50:10
So keep an eye on the battle going on between Janet Yellen
50:14
and Papa Jerome, the Fed chair. So yeah, they're, they're at
50:19
each other because you can see Janet borrowing and then doing
50:23
deals on the, on the the short term bonds and treasuries, not
50:27
what she used to do on the 30. So keep your eyes on that.
50:31
And, and like I said, there's a lot of great paid services out
50:34
there. I give a shout out to Professor
50:36
Vinny at Golfix on Substack and also Jordan Roy Byrne.
50:41
He's got killer charts. All of them do great jobs, but
50:45
they do have free and paid services.
50:47
But man, if you guys want to learn and get some inside
50:50
information, that's that's two good spots.
50:53
I recommend I I do the pay paid services for them that they got
50:57
great information. Just want to share that with
50:59
everybody. All right, we're going.
51:01
We're going to hang around for just a few more minutes.
51:03
Did I remove somebody? Who did I remove?
51:06
I. Think you dropped Daniel?
51:07
Daniel. Daniel one bye, bye.
51:12
Daniel, come back, please. I apologize.
51:16
Hopefully we'll get Daniel back here and we're going to see if
51:19
we can get Adam Van from Alpine Gold.
51:21
He was going to hop in and I, I probably accidentally got rid of
51:25
you, Daniel. So please come back.
51:28
Chris, what do you think? What do you think about this
51:31
this this situation in the world and where we're going to be
51:34
heading here in the next few months?
51:36
Well, I, I'm, I'm a big advocate run for junk silver.
51:41
You know, I've done a video on this.
51:43
If we added up all the Washington silver quarters
51:46
minted from 1932 to 1964, and if we were able to find every
51:52
single quarter that they minted, you throw in in a big pile, you
51:59
divide that by the American people, you're going to get less
52:01
than seven quarters per person. All right, So there's your math
52:06
right there. And people think there's plenty
52:08
of there. A lot of this stuff got melted
52:10
down. As we know, we melt stuff when
52:12
we can't read a date on something.
52:13
It goes in the milk bucket or, or, or we people come and buy it
52:17
as scrap. That's what we sell it for at
52:19
the shop. So I mean, you know, stack as
52:22
much 90% silver you can get your hands on now before it is truly
52:27
gone. Yeah, there's only so much out
52:30
there. There's only there's only so
52:31
much out there. So and Jake I, I do know that
52:34
you've left 90% stair with Jake so.
52:36
Yeah, I do. Yeah, I do also have a tip for
52:38
everybody also, if you go to an LCS and they let you handpick
52:43
your junk silver, I recommend doing that before you get online
52:47
and just buy a random 5000 face or 1000 face bag.
52:51
Because if you get a chance now to pick all the nicer true
52:54
weight 2.5g Dimes and and the good looking quarters, if you
52:59
can get all those first. If you look around now, a lot of
53:03
the junk silver that they have for sale are not calling them
53:07
slicks, but they're pretty worn. That seems to be the leftovers.
53:10
So if you need to go through your stash now, trade or barter
53:15
or or you know, do something and try to get rid of your slicks
53:18
and see if you can upgrade to 100% stack.
53:22
That's really nice and full true weight, the best you can, you
53:27
know, on those because it'll be a whole lot easier to barter and
53:30
trade when you have 14 real Dimes that will equal an ounce
53:34
versus 14 slick mercuries. And what if the farmer like
53:38
Chris is talking about, well, they want an ounce of silver and
53:41
you give him 14 slick mercuries, he's going to ask you for two
53:44
more Dimes or three to make up the weight.
53:47
You know, and remember, in the United States, they they sell to
53:50
us by face value, But overseas, my friend Dutch, they buy it in
53:57
weight. So, so there's always a
53:59
difference of what will you be buying and how will the trader,
54:03
you know, how does he want his? His payment in silver is at face
54:07
value. I bet you he's going to want
54:08
weight. As soon as he finds out he's
54:10
getting all the slicks, he's going to want weight.
54:13
So just keep that in mind if you got time to do that now.
54:16
And I totally agree with you, Jake.
54:17
I think it will go towards the weight.
54:19
Yeah, I really agree with that. So you think eventually we'll be
54:25
buying and selling and trading junk silver based more on weight
54:28
than on the what we're kind of historically used to now, which
54:33
is based on face value, correct? Yeah, in the art shops there,
54:37
there are shops that do buy it by weight now and there are
54:40
shops will buy, most shops will buy it at 14.
54:44
You know, $1.40 equals any dollar 40 and 90% survey equals
54:50
an ounce of silver. That's how most shops buy it.
54:52
But some shops are starting to turn over to the weight.
54:57
Right. Yeah.
54:57
But I mean, think about this way, Ron.
54:59
If you and I were going to do a barter trade and whatever it is,
55:03
and you got your payment and you realize that you got 14 slick
55:06
Dimes and you put it on a digital scale and you're, you
55:09
know, you're short. You're short and out.
55:11
Well, how long are you going to continue doing trades?
55:14
And then am I the one screwing you on purpose because I'm
55:18
giving you all my slick stuff first?
55:20
Yeah, kind of. So if any of the stackers, if
55:23
any of us are going to do any barter, nobody's going to take
55:26
less than an ounce of silver for whatever you know you're buying.
55:29
So why if we don't do it now, now's the time to upgrade, you
55:34
know, trade it for some eagles, then come back later and you
55:37
know, or you know, just just try to upgrade your your Dimes and
55:40
quarters and halves and try to pick out the best ones you can.
55:44
Well, it's kind of like, it's kind of like, what do they call
55:46
it shaving? Like back in the day, people
55:48
would shave little parts. I mean, it's not, it's just
55:53
because the, the coins have been worn from decades and decades of
55:57
use, but it's really the same concept.
55:59
It's like, you know, a little bit of the silver's gone because
56:02
they've been worn down. I don't know where it went.
56:04
I guess it's on people's fingertips or somewhere on the
56:07
planet. But we do know one thing.
56:10
It's not there. It's not on those on those
56:12
coins. So hold on guys.
56:14
I think we've got one more guest.
56:16
We do, Mr. Adam Van from Alpine Gold.
56:20
Hold on. One second here.
56:21
Hey, Adam, can you hear us? Yes, I can hear you.
56:24
Hey, Adam. How are you doing?
56:25
Hey. Adam.
56:27
How? Are you doing?
56:29
Adam. Yep, that's we've we've got Jake
56:32
from Jake's custom Parts. He's a well known figure in the
56:36
gold and silver community and a big supporter of the basement.
56:39
He's a moderator on my channel, but he's friends with Andy
56:42
Scheckman, Chris Marcus. He knows a lot of people and a
56:44
lot about silver and gold. And we're also in the lower
56:47
right corner joined by the one and only Coin shop.
56:50
Chris from the Coin Shop Chris YouTube channel, the world's
56:54
fastest growing silver and gold YouTube channel.
56:56
And of course, Adam Van from Alpine Gold, who's been a big
57:00
supporter of Ron's basement works in the work works in the
57:05
industry. And Adam, thanks for joining us.
57:09
Today, not sure. Sure, sure.
57:11
I work in the industry in the services side of things, so not
57:15
any kind of direct competitors or anything.
57:17
We do services with gold and silver.
57:18
We've talked about it in the past, but man, what an exciting
57:22
end to the week at $2500 for an ounce.
57:26
You've taken the blindfold off of our bear in the back.
57:29
What's his name back there? Oh, shoot, Susie is going to
57:32
kill me. Goldie and it's and and Susie.
57:35
Goldie is a girl. So she's her Goldie is a girl.
57:39
We finally we finally got. Her you've you've had her in
57:42
your basement for two years, bindfolded and.
57:45
Finally. You.
57:48
Know, but but that's OK. We'll let the rumors to stop
57:52
right there. But no.
57:53
What an unprecedented week in gold.
57:57
You know, silver's not doing bad either, but right there on
57:59
Friday, Thursday and Friday, it just shot right up.
58:02
And we've had some very, very happy members that that that got
58:08
in early before the surge. I don't think the surge is over.
58:11
This is just a, a tell of what's what our economy is doing and
58:16
what and what's coming to the future.
58:18
You know, the uncertainty that's happening is what is what this
58:22
is. And I think that we're going to
58:23
see 3000. I'm still, I'm still holding.
58:26
I'm I'm holding anyway, I'm a, I'm a big gold holder, but a
58:30
hoarder, I guess you could say. But but I think I think we're
58:35
going to see 3000 by the end of the year.
58:37
And I have to say, Ron, I think you were the one who was calling
58:39
that. I, I called 2500 by December.
58:42
And I think you corrected me in one of your other episodes that
58:45
you thought it would be 3000. And it looks like you're going
58:47
to win. Well, we'll, we'll, we'll see.
58:50
And some of the big banks are calling for three, I know like
58:53
if I remember correctly, Citibank and a few of the other
58:56
like big, big banks, some of the, the Dutch banks and the,
59:00
the banks in Europe are saying that we could, we could
59:03
certainly see $3000 gold by the end of this year.
59:06
And when you, like you said, when you look at what's, when
59:09
you just look at what's going on with the financial system, with
59:12
the, with the amount of, of debt that's out there and then just
59:16
all the uncertainty that's going on in the world.
59:21
And it seems very, very, very plausible at this point.
59:25
Yeah. Hey, Ron, I got something to
59:27
commemorate the see if we can hold that up, try and get the
59:31
glare out of it. This is this is a a gold 2 gold
59:34
buffaloes and two gold eagles and then two silver eagles.
59:39
We. Had framed, you know, so it's
59:42
not necessarily for sale, but you know, everything's got a
59:45
price but you know, once we get into the right numbers but yeah,
59:49
we had that framed up, you know to and we're going to have that
59:52
hung up in our shop that's. Pretty cool commemorate
59:56
everything going on well, Adam, it's all on the.
59:59
Back of it. So I know you guys got to get
1:00:01
back at it, but but anyway, no congratulations on everything.
1:00:04
Wrong. Yeah.
1:00:06
And you've been, you've been a big supporter of the channel,
1:00:09
Jake has been a big supporter of the channel.
1:00:12
Jake, is there anything you want to say before we sign off here?
1:00:16
No, I'm good. I appreciate everybody.
1:00:18
Appreciate you, Ron. Congratulations.
1:00:21
Let's watch gold keep going. And gold for the win, baby.
1:00:24
This year, it's going to be a good year.
1:00:26
Yeah, yeah, Chris reach out to me.
1:00:28
I can support his channel too. And and anybody that I'm into
1:00:32
gold and silver, that's all I am.
1:00:33
I'm I'm into gold and silver is what I like and I'll support
1:00:36
anybody that's a brother in the gold and silver game.
1:00:38
Yeah, let me let me say, let's see if I can put my words
1:00:42
together. I do appreciate that, Adam.
1:00:44
Yeah, Adam. Adam has it's been, and it was
1:00:48
probably one of the most genuine.
1:00:50
I know you do a lot with, you know, the, the, the, what's it
1:00:53
called? Pork Fest, which is kind of a
1:00:55
gold and silver oriented libertarian event that you, that
1:01:00
you help put on every year. But you've, you're you, you
1:01:04
definitely strike me as somebody who is just genuine, not out
1:01:08
there trying to push your agenda or your own self-interest.
1:01:16
And I've met a lot of great people on this journey, but
1:01:18
you're definitely at the top of the list in terms of just
1:01:21
someone who genuinely is a good person, but also at the same
1:01:25
time believes in the silver and gold.
1:01:28
So thank you. Thank you.
1:01:30
Ron, that's very kind coming from you.
1:01:32
That just means the world, so. It's genuine, and it wouldn't be
1:01:36
complete if I didn't say a few words about Coin Shop Chris, the
1:01:39
one and only who was with me from very early in the channel,
1:01:43
but when the bear got originally blindfolded.
1:01:45
Chris was a big supporter, is a big supporter of Ron's basement.
1:01:49
He's out on his own now. Guys, I'll say it one last time.
1:01:52
YouTube, go to YouTube search bar, put in Coin Shop Chris.
1:01:56
Please go check him out, help support him.
1:01:58
He puts out great content. Chris, thank you for all you've
1:02:01
done. Are you there?
1:02:06
Sometimes his Internet connection's bad.
1:02:09
Yeah, I'm back. He's all choked up.
1:02:11
He's just all choked up is what it is.
1:02:13
It's a moving experience. Yeah.
1:02:16
Thank you, Chris. Thank you, Ron.
1:02:20
All right, buddy. All right, guys.
1:02:21
Hey, we're going to sign off. Thanks again to everybody, all
1:02:25
of our viewers. We had over 7-8 hundred people
1:02:28
joining us and thanks to the guests.
1:02:30
Thanks, Adam. Thanks Jake.
1:02:32
Thanks Chris. Let's we'll be back on this
1:02:35
again. This worked great.
1:02:36
So you know, maybe on a monthly basis we can get this group
1:02:39
together again and keep talking gold and silver.
1:02:42
Thank you guys. I'm.
1:02:43
In I appreciate it. Take care guys.
1:02:48
