Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: What is going on, guys at WrestleMania is in the books.
- 0:03Speaker 1: It is the Raw after Mania. There have been a
- 0:05Speaker 1: lot of very newsworthy Raw after Mania episodes over the years.
- 0:09Speaker 1: This was a newsworthy one. It was not a great show,
- 0:12Speaker 1: but what I liked about it was there was a
- 0:14Speaker 1: lot going on, new faces popping up, people moving over
- 0:18Speaker 1: from SmackDown to Raw, new feuds starting, So I like
- 0:23Speaker 1: that aspect of it. It just felt like, Okay, we
- 0:25Speaker 1: got some new stuff going on that kind of freshens
- 0:27Speaker 1: things up a little bit. Beyond that, though not a
- 0:32Speaker 1: great show, but I was mostly entertained by what we
- 0:35Speaker 1: got tonight, which culminated with the new World Heavyweight Champion.
- 0:40Speaker 1: We had Roman Reigns, who was nice enough to grace
- 0:43Speaker 1: us with his presence and the closing moments of the
- 0:45Speaker 1: show as his car pulled up to the building just
- 0:47Speaker 1: in time before Monday Night Raw ended. They're very lucky
- 0:51Speaker 1: he showed up when he did. He didn't get caught
- 0:52Speaker 1: in a traffic jam, or we'd still be sitting here
- 0:55Speaker 1: waiting for him to show up. But he came out,
- 0:57Speaker 1: and he brought his cousins out with him, and this
- 1:00Speaker 1: is what I was a little concerned about, which was
- 1:03Speaker 1: we're going to be right back to the blood Line.
- 1:05Speaker 1: It's going to be same old, same old, and we're
- 1:08Speaker 1: going to have the Bloodline as they did on Fridays
- 1:10Speaker 1: now running things on Mondays, and that may well be
- 1:14Speaker 1: the case. The one good thing is they put the
- 1:16Speaker 1: World Heavyweight Championship back on Roman, and it does appear
- 1:19Speaker 1: that Roman is going to be pretty much full time
- 1:23Speaker 1: through the summer, which might be a dead giveaway about
- 1:26Speaker 1: how long he's going to have that World Heavyweight Championship.
- 1:29Speaker 1: So we are going to have Roman on the show,
- 1:31Speaker 1: if not every week, on most weeks. That was my
- 1:34Speaker 1: biggest concern coming out of WrestleMania, or even going into WrestleMania.
- 1:38Speaker 1: If you were going to put the world Championship on him,
- 1:41Speaker 1: we need him on the show, and so hopefully that
- 1:44Speaker 1: will be the case going forward. That'll be a good thing.
- 1:47Speaker 1: He came out of the end and we had an
- 1:48Speaker 1: unexpected appearance joining him and the USOS in the ring
- 1:52Speaker 1: in the form of Jacob Fatu, somebody else who was
- 1:55Speaker 1: successful at WrestleMania this weekend. He beat Drew McIntyre in
- 1:58Speaker 1: their unsanctioned match, and he came down to the ring
- 2:03Speaker 1: and he confronted Roman and honestly, this is a confrontation
- 2:06Speaker 1: that I have been waiting a long time for. This
- 2:09Speaker 1: is a match when Jacob first came into WWE that
- 2:13Speaker 1: I was hoping we would get. We still haven't gotten it.
- 2:15Speaker 1: So when I saw him come out, I said, huh, okay,
- 2:18Speaker 1: that piqued my interest. Let's see where this goes. So
- 2:22Speaker 1: he came down to the ring. Yes, yeah, fairly, there
- 2:26Speaker 1: goes my idea, though my theory of Randy Orton being
- 2:30Speaker 1: the one who attacked Jacob fivet to I guess we're
- 2:32Speaker 1: never really going to get a resolution, although I guess
- 2:36Speaker 1: you just have to assume Drew McIntyre did do it.
- 2:39Speaker 1: He was lying the entire time. We never really got
- 2:41Speaker 1: a resolution to that, and now it appears that we
- 2:44Speaker 1: are not going to get a resolution to that. But
- 2:47Speaker 1: he confronted Roman in the ring and he said, I
- 2:49Speaker 1: want all the things that you have, all the money,
- 2:52Speaker 1: all the cars, I want to support my kids, the
- 2:55Speaker 1: bigger house, everything, all of it. I want it. I
- 2:58Speaker 1: want to be world heavyweight champion. And Roman gave him
- 3:02Speaker 1: and he said backlash, and Roman gave him one week
- 3:05Speaker 1: because I don't know if you're ready for it. I'm
- 3:07Speaker 1: not going to say yes. I'm not going to say no.
- 3:10Speaker 1: I'll give you seven days. We'll reconvene on Raw next
- 3:12Speaker 1: Monday night, and we'll take it from there. And that's
- 3:16Speaker 1: how they left things. Where the teas that the main
- 3:19Speaker 1: event of Backlash, which is only a couple weeks away,
- 3:21Speaker 1: I think, right May ninth, I believe. So what is
- 3:24Speaker 1: that two and a half weeks something like that, that
- 3:27Speaker 1: the main event of Backlash is going to be Roman
- 3:30Speaker 1: Reigns against Jacob fa Tou. It's not official, but they
- 3:33Speaker 1: wouldn't dangle that carrot the way they did tonight if
- 3:35Speaker 1: they weren't going to be doing that match. That is
- 3:37Speaker 1: a match that appeals to me. That's a match that
- 3:40Speaker 1: intrigues me, as is the finish of such a match,
- 3:44Speaker 1: Because if they're going to put these two in the
- 3:46Speaker 1: ring together and Jacob, let's say it's going to be
- 3:48Speaker 1: on Raw now and he's already wrestling for the World
- 3:50Speaker 1: Heavyweight Championship, I don't see them moving the World Heavyweight
- 3:55Speaker 1: Championship onto Jacob FA two. So what does that mean?
- 3:58Speaker 1: I mean? We are we looking at a on in
- 4:00Speaker 1: done scenario. Are we looking at Jacob then falling in
- 4:03Speaker 1: line because Roman wanted him to do one thing at
- 4:05Speaker 1: the end of the night. He wanted him to acknowledge him.
- 4:08Speaker 1: I keep telling you guys, you know, Roman Reigns. For
- 4:11Speaker 1: all the people that cheer for this man, Roman Reigns
- 4:14Speaker 1: has not changed one damn bit from the conceited, selfish
- 4:21Speaker 1: asshole that we saw in the original incarnation of the Bloodline.
- 4:26Speaker 1: And so even when he went to his cousins and
- 4:28Speaker 1: Jay you know, didn't want to have anything to do
- 4:30Speaker 1: with him, and he wanted to make amends, he never changed.
- 4:35Speaker 1: He's still the same guy. You saw it even tonight
- 4:38Speaker 1: when he had his cousins out there in the ring
- 4:39Speaker 1: with him, and he says, look, you know, it's basically
- 4:42Speaker 1: like united. We stand, divided, we fall. When we're apart
- 4:45Speaker 1: and we're separate, we're weak, and you've got all kinds
- 4:49Speaker 1: of people talking shit about us, including washed up rappers.
- 4:53Speaker 1: But when we're together like we were all those years ago,
- 4:57Speaker 1: were unstoppable manipulation. He's still manipulating his cousins. This man
- 5:04Speaker 1: hasn't changed, and so we may well be looking at
- 5:08Speaker 1: a case where he's going to try to recruit Jacob
- 5:10Speaker 1: in we got a new bloodline going on. I don't
- 5:12Speaker 1: want to see that. Jacob Fotuo should not be falling
- 5:15Speaker 1: in line with anybody. If anything, Jacob Fatu should be
- 5:18Speaker 1: the one bringing the usso's over with him when all
- 5:21Speaker 1: is said and done, and having his own little crew.
- 5:24Speaker 1: But to be honest with you, I had bloodline fatigue
- 5:26Speaker 1: at this point. We had the bloodline, we had the MFTs,
- 5:29Speaker 1: which is like TMU blood line. This would be what
- 5:32Speaker 1: the third incarnation of the group. It's like nWo, nWo
- 5:37Speaker 1: wolf Pack nWo. How many versions of the nWo did
- 5:40Speaker 1: we even have? We had what three or four or
- 5:43Speaker 1: five nWo two thousand, I don't know how many fucking virgins.
- 5:47Speaker 1: I don't need to see that with the bloodline. But
- 5:49Speaker 1: I am intrigued about the Roman in Jacob's story, so
- 5:51Speaker 1: I like that now. The man who lost the World
- 5:54Speaker 1: heavyweight Championship Cmpunk, he made an appearance on the show tonight,
- 5:59Speaker 1: and he was looking rather chipper for someone who lost
- 6:03Speaker 1: the world title, because it was almost like a weight
- 6:05Speaker 1: had been lifted off of his shoulders. And he made
- 6:08Speaker 1: it very clear he's not taken a vacation, you know,
- 6:10Speaker 1: he's not going anywhere, and he said, you never know
- 6:14Speaker 1: when a World Championship opportunity might fall out of the sky.
- 6:19Speaker 1: That brought out Cody Rhodes, who was not looking too good.
- 6:23Speaker 1: His eye was not looking too good, and they heavily
- 6:28Speaker 1: teased a Cody Road CM punk match. I didn't get
- 6:31Speaker 1: the impression it was anything that was imminent. It may
- 6:34Speaker 1: not even happen this year. I look at that as
- 6:37Speaker 1: a potential WrestleMania main event in Saudi next year. So
- 6:41Speaker 1: just because they were openly teasing it tonight does not
- 6:43Speaker 1: necessarily mean it's going to be, let's say, a Summer
- 6:46Speaker 1: Slam match. I would like for it to be, but
- 6:49Speaker 1: to be honest like that, that's a wrestle Minia caliber match.
- 6:52Speaker 1: They wanted to give it to us this year. I
- 6:54Speaker 1: certainly have no issue with that. But they were heavily
- 6:56Speaker 1: leaning into it, so much so that we are going
- 6:59Speaker 1: to get it at some point. The only question it's
- 7:01Speaker 1: not if. The only question is when we had also
- 7:06Speaker 1: on this show the return of the Street Profits, who
- 7:09Speaker 1: we have not seen on television in many, many months,
- 7:12Speaker 1: and so they were back right we saw them on SmackDown.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Last time we saw them they are now going to
- 7:18Speaker 1: be mixing up with the vision for the tag team
- 7:21Speaker 1: titles on the raw side, so it was good to
- 7:22Speaker 1: get them back on TV. You got to try to
- 7:24Speaker 1: breathe some life into this dead tag team division, so
- 7:28Speaker 1: you got to start somewhere, So it's good to see them.
- 7:32Speaker 1: They teased other matches here on this show, a rematch.
- 7:35Speaker 1: I'm sure this will be the Backlash match Live Morgan
- 7:39Speaker 1: and Stephanie Vaquier, bron Breaker and Seth Rollins they went
- 7:42Speaker 1: at it tonight. And then there's also Gunther and La
- 7:47Speaker 1: Knight and oh man, poor La Night. You know. Gunther
- 7:56Speaker 1: was in the back and he was being interviewed late
- 7:58Speaker 1: in the show and La Knight interrupted and as soon
- 8:02Speaker 1: as I saw La Knight in the shot, I said,
- 8:05Speaker 1: what are you doing? Man? Like, what are you doing?
- 8:08Speaker 1: There's no way on any planet that this ends well
- 8:12Speaker 1: for La Knight. Like, we haven't even seen the match yet.
- 8:17Speaker 1: I mean we have seen the match in the past,
- 8:19Speaker 1: but like this particular match that they're clearly going to
- 8:21Speaker 1: have very soon, we have not even seen the match yet.
- 8:24Speaker 1: I already know how it's going to go. La Night.
- 8:28Speaker 1: He's the only person who hasn't been clued in about
- 8:30Speaker 1: how this is gonna end. So La Knight setting himself
- 8:34Speaker 1: up for another loss and yeah, we gotta we gotta ye, yeah,
- 8:38Speaker 1: we gotta get that in. But yeah, it's not gonna
- 8:40Speaker 1: end well for him. So that seems to be a
- 8:42Speaker 1: direction here. The bigger story though, outside of the Roman
- 8:46Speaker 1: and Jacob stuff, were the NXT call ups and some
- 8:50Speaker 1: of the new faces that we either saw on the
- 8:53Speaker 1: show tonight or have already been teased for Raw next week.
- 8:56Speaker 1: So on the show tonight we had Ethan Page and
- 8:59Speaker 1: Soul Root. This was their official Raw calla. They are
- 9:02Speaker 1: officially now on Monday Nights, and they teased that next
- 9:06Speaker 1: week Joe Hendry, whom Michael Cole flat out said he's
- 9:10Speaker 1: on Monday Night Raw. Now he's a member of the
- 9:12Speaker 1: Raw roster. He's going to be in concert, so I
- 9:16Speaker 1: guess we'll see who interrupts him. Maybe that'll give us
- 9:18Speaker 1: a sense of who he's going to be working with.
- 9:21Speaker 1: So that's going to be on RAW next week, and
- 9:24Speaker 1: I like this look. Typically the Raw after Mania in
- 9:28Speaker 1: the past or SmackDown after Mania has been the time
- 9:33Speaker 1: where you do introduce some new faces or somebody makes
- 9:36Speaker 1: a big return and so there were no big returns tonight.
- 9:40Speaker 1: But they made some moves, roster moves, which I think
- 9:42Speaker 1: are needed. You want to freshen the roster up a
- 9:45Speaker 1: little bit. I don't get the sense they're doing a draft.
- 9:47Speaker 1: I don't want them to do a draft. We don't
- 9:50Speaker 1: need no stinking draft. I've talked about this before. If
- 9:53Speaker 1: you want to make roster moves, there are other ways
- 9:55Speaker 1: to do it without a draft. The draft shows suck,
- 9:58Speaker 1: They're boring, they suck. Don't do them anymore. I'm perfectly
- 10:02Speaker 1: fine if they just want to say, you know what,
- 10:04Speaker 1: we're just gonna move the chess pieces around and they're
- 10:06Speaker 1: just going to show up, We're going to debut some
- 10:07Speaker 1: new people on the show. Fine, always good to freshen
- 10:11Speaker 1: things up. But if you're gonna be making moves like this,
- 10:15Speaker 1: you got some work to do where it comes to SmackDown,
- 10:18Speaker 1: because as things stand right now at this moment, SmackDown
- 10:21Speaker 1: needs a lot of help after and I mean SmackDown
- 10:24Speaker 1: already needed a lot of help, but now it needs
- 10:26Speaker 1: more help. I have to assume, right it's early yet,
- 10:31Speaker 1: we haven't even gotten to Friday yet, that by the
- 10:32Speaker 1: time we get to SmackDown on Friday, those moves will
- 10:36Speaker 1: become clear. But you watch Raw tonight and you could
- 10:39Speaker 1: kind of tell, like what some of the moves are
- 10:40Speaker 1: gonna be. So, for example, we already know Rhea Ripley
- 10:43Speaker 1: is on her way to SmackDown. She looked crestfallen in
- 10:47Speaker 1: the back tonight when she was partying ways with EO Sky.
- 10:50Speaker 1: She's the new WWE Women's Champion right that title belongs
- 10:53Speaker 1: on SmackDown, So she is now going to go to
- 10:55Speaker 1: SmackDown and defend that title. CM punk, who may know
- 11:00Speaker 1: well mention of SmackDown, But what he did do is
- 11:03Speaker 1: he went face to face with Cody Rhods tonight and
- 11:05Speaker 1: they were teasing that match for a reason. Now, even
- 11:08Speaker 1: if that match is not going to happen imminently, he
- 11:11Speaker 1: would have to be a member of the SmackDown roster
- 11:14Speaker 1: unless you waited until next year. And he won the
- 11:17Speaker 1: Royal Rumble. CM Punk. It feels to me he's been
- 11:21Speaker 1: on Raw ever since he came back to the company
- 11:23Speaker 1: in twenty twenty three. Right, is it good to be
- 11:26Speaker 1: alive on Monday Night? We've been hearing this every week
- 11:29Speaker 1: now for three years. If anybody I think could really
- 11:33Speaker 1: benefit the other show. It would be cmpunk. Cmpunk is
- 11:37Speaker 1: a big star. SmackDown could use some star power. Cmpunk
- 11:42Speaker 1: is there every single week. He's actively wrestling on the
- 11:45Speaker 1: show on most weeks. SmackDown could use cm Punk. I
- 11:50Speaker 1: don't know what else you do with him. If he
- 11:51Speaker 1: sticks around on Raw, him and Roman, that's done him
- 11:54Speaker 1: and the Vision. Are you fucking kidding me? What else
- 12:00Speaker 1: is he gonna do? It makes sense for him to
- 12:03Speaker 1: move over to SmackDown, And especially if you're moving Jacob
- 12:06Speaker 1: Fatu over from SmackDown to Raw, you know, it's almost
- 12:10Speaker 1: like a clean swap there. So I think Punk moving
- 12:13Speaker 1: to SmackDown is very likely. Rhea Ripley we already know
- 12:16Speaker 1: she's on smack Down. By the way, if they do
- 12:17Speaker 1: move Punk to SmackDown, I'm sure one person who will
- 12:20Speaker 1: not be happy about that, Drew McIntyre. They would be
- 12:23Speaker 1: reunited once again on the same brand. So Punk very possible.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Rhea Ripley confirmed, we already know she's moving over. They
- 12:32Speaker 1: just debuted Royce Keys on SmackDown. He just won the
- 12:36Speaker 1: Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal last week. I mean,
- 12:40Speaker 1: Raw has Obafemi. They're really pushing him hard. SmackDown has
- 12:43Speaker 1: Royce Keys. In addition to that, let's look to NXT
- 12:48Speaker 1: because we had Ethan Page and soul Ruka right, and
- 12:50Speaker 1: now Joe Hendry, who could SmackDown get from NXT, especially
- 12:56Speaker 1: if they move Punk over. So I know they're like this.
- 12:59Speaker 1: First name that comes to mind is Ricky Saints. So
- 13:02Speaker 1: Ricky Saints going to SmackDown to me would make a
- 13:05Speaker 1: lot of sense. How about Blake Monroe. I don't even
- 13:10Speaker 1: know why, frankly, she's still down there in NXT. Blake
- 13:14Speaker 1: Monroe would really help that SmackDown women's division. And she's
- 13:18Speaker 1: a great character. She's got this, you know, great personality.
- 13:21Speaker 1: I think that would fit perfectly over there on the
- 13:24Speaker 1: main roster, and SmackDown would be a good fit for her.
- 13:26Speaker 1: So Ricky Saints, Blake Monroe, Jacy Jane, who just lost
- 13:32Speaker 1: the NXT Women's Championship, they may call up the entirety
- 13:35Speaker 1: of fatal influence. All three women, you know, get Fallon
- 13:39Speaker 1: Henley up there too. So there are moves to make
- 13:42Speaker 1: where you know, when I'm on here on Friday Night
- 13:44Speaker 1: talking about SmackDown, I'm not talking about how weak SmackDown
- 13:48Speaker 1: is we're talking about Okay, you know, they made some
- 13:50Speaker 1: great moves here. These are the moves that I'm hoping
- 13:55Speaker 1: that by the time we get to the end of
- 13:56Speaker 1: the week that we're looking at the other thing on
- 13:59Speaker 1: the On the show tonight they can well. I mean,
- 14:02Speaker 1: they were talking about it in a way on Sunday where, oh,
- 14:05Speaker 1: we're not sure, but it looks like brock Lesner has retired.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Tonight they were more kind of they were declarative about it,
- 14:14Speaker 1: where they said brock Lesner has retired, and they gave
- 14:18Speaker 1: us a tribute video package showing highlights of his career
- 14:21Speaker 1: from over the years. It was very well done. It
- 14:24Speaker 1: was a godsmack song that they used. I am still
- 14:28Speaker 1: not one hundred percent convinced that he is retired. I
- 14:31Speaker 1: hope he is. I really do. He had, in many ways,
- 14:35Speaker 1: the best sendoff you could ask for, putting over Obafemi
- 14:38Speaker 1: the way he did at WrestleMania. It really doesn't get
- 14:40Speaker 1: any better than that. So to me, I hope that
- 14:44Speaker 1: that's the end and that's sort of the bow on
- 14:48Speaker 1: the gift. But I'm just still not convinced. I still
- 14:52Speaker 1: think there could be something there with this favor that
- 14:55Speaker 1: Paul Hayman owes to Gunther and there's a way to
- 14:58Speaker 1: kind of coax him out of quote unquote retirement. Yeah.
- 15:01Speaker 1: I get a lot of people like, oh, he was
- 15:02Speaker 1: crying last night, so of course it's real. Brock was crying.
- 15:05Speaker 1: I'm not so sure that Brock was crying. Actually, Paul
- 15:08Speaker 1: Hayman was crying. You can see the tears streaming on
- 15:10Speaker 1: his face. I'm looking at brock Lesnar last night and
- 15:12Speaker 1: to me and again, whether this was genuine or not,
- 15:16Speaker 1: you know, him retiring like it looked like he was
- 15:18Speaker 1: trying to cry. I don't know that he was. It
- 15:20Speaker 1: wasn't like he was a blubbering mess the way some
- 15:23Speaker 1: people say, don't look too much into that. That doesn't
- 15:26Speaker 1: mean anything. But yes, for the time being, at least,
- 15:29Speaker 1: it does look like brock Lesner has wrestled his final match.
- 15:33Speaker 1: But we all know how that goes anyway. This is
- 15:35Speaker 1: your Raw on Netflix review, the Raw after Mania. Let's
- 15:39Speaker 1: get into it. It is Monday night, April twentieth oh four,
- 15:42Speaker 1: twenty four, twenty twenty twenty six. I am the Solemn Monster.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Thank you for hanging out with me. We are continuing here.
- 15:52Speaker 1: We've been doing shows, a lot of them. They don't stop.
- 15:56Speaker 1: There is no off season in wrestling. You just sort
- 15:58Speaker 1: of pushed the reset button and you start all over again.
- 16:03Speaker 1: That's why we're here. Super chats are open if you
- 16:06Speaker 1: would like to send them money. I will read all
- 16:08Speaker 1: of your messages. You will see them popping up on
- 16:11Speaker 1: your screen, and we'll hang out a little bit later
- 16:13Speaker 1: and go through them all. I just want to say
- 16:15Speaker 1: thank you everybody who joined for all the WrestleMania coverage
- 16:18Speaker 1: this weekend. Big success as it usually is. We had
- 16:22Speaker 1: nearly ten thousand live combined between the two nights, well
- 16:27Speaker 1: north of one hundred and twenty thousand views and counting
- 16:31Speaker 1: between the two raw reviews on Saturday and Sunday. So
- 16:34Speaker 1: I thank you for that. And with that, let's spin
- 16:36Speaker 1: the wheel because we got to find out what the
- 16:40Speaker 1: likes goal is to do our be the booker segment tonight.
- 16:46Speaker 1: Do I have my RVD rolling papers? I do not.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Seven hundred likes is the goal for tonight, So you're
- 17:00Speaker 1: gonna have to work towards you. We're right around three
- 17:02Speaker 1: fifty ish right now. Seven hundred is the goal. No,
- 17:05Speaker 1: I do not have my RVD rolling papers. If you
- 17:08Speaker 1: would like to send me some, but I don't think
- 17:11Speaker 1: I would even know what to do with them. I
- 17:17Speaker 1: would probably wrap my sandwich in it. Well, I don't
- 17:23Speaker 1: know what you would expect me to do with it,
- 17:24Speaker 1: but anyway, here we go. The show started with a
- 17:31Speaker 1: recap of WRESTLEMANI of forty two, all the highlights and
- 17:34Speaker 1: low lights as it were. Michael Cole said that brock
- 17:38Speaker 1: Lesner has called it a day and they would be
- 17:40Speaker 1: looking back at his career tonight. But we had Oba Femei,
- 17:45Speaker 1: the man who conquered brock Lesner just last night at WrestleMania.
- 17:49Speaker 1: He opened the show as he should have, and he
- 17:53Speaker 1: made his way out to the ring. He was all
- 17:55Speaker 1: dressed up, he was looking He was out there all
- 17:57Speaker 1: dressed up in a suit, looking like he was about
- 18:00Speaker 1: to sell you a badass sports car with a really
- 18:03Speaker 1: good warranty. He made his way down to the ring
- 18:06Speaker 1: and huge superstar reaction for this guy. I mean he
- 18:09Speaker 1: gets one every single week, but there was just a
- 18:11Speaker 1: different feeling in the air tonight, coming off the biggest
- 18:14Speaker 1: win of his career. Like okay, WrestleMania was a statement
- 18:19Speaker 1: night for him, and this was also a statement from
- 18:22Speaker 1: the company that Okay, we recognize what we have here
- 18:25Speaker 1: and we're putting our weight and our might behind him.
- 18:28Speaker 1: He has officially arrived. And for him this really did
- 18:32Speaker 1: feel like, okay, we're starting the Obafemi era now of
- 18:35Speaker 1: Monday at new Era. But that's kind of what it
- 18:37Speaker 1: felt like with him when he came out here. So
- 18:40Speaker 1: he came down to the ring and the fans are
- 18:42Speaker 1: chanting his name and they're barking even after the music stopped,
- 18:47Speaker 1: and he just stood there and he had a very
- 18:49Speaker 1: serious look on his face. He's staring straight ahead into
- 18:53Speaker 1: the hard camera. And after several minutes of this, he
- 18:58Speaker 1: kept it very short and sweet. He picked the microphone
- 19:01Speaker 1: up to his mouth and he said, the ruler has arrived,
- 19:06Speaker 1: and he dropped the microphone and he left very reminiscent
- 19:12Speaker 1: of the Roman Reign segment from the Raw After Mania
- 19:15Speaker 1: in twenty seventeen when he stood in the ring and
- 19:18Speaker 1: the booze, Oh my god, this man was being drowned
- 19:22Speaker 1: out by the booze. And just after like eight minutes,
- 19:28Speaker 1: he finally spoke. The crowd let him speak, and he goes,
- 19:31Speaker 1: this is my yard now. He dropped the mic still
- 19:36Speaker 1: one of the best Postmania raw segments of all time,
- 19:40Speaker 1: like I being there for it, Like the heat that
- 19:44Speaker 1: this man generated was like nothing I had seen in
- 19:49Speaker 1: a very long time. Only here it wasn't he It
- 19:52Speaker 1: was love. It was all love for Obafemi. He didn't
- 19:55Speaker 1: have to say anything else. You know, if he's not
- 19:58Speaker 1: going after the World Heavyweight champion ship just yet, you
- 20:01Speaker 1: don't really want to send him out there and be
- 20:03Speaker 1: like Roman Reigns, because now you're promising a match that
- 20:06Speaker 1: you're not planning on doing, and it makes him look
- 20:08Speaker 1: stupid if he comes out and brings up Roman but
- 20:12Speaker 1: then doesn't challenge him to a match. So I don't
- 20:15Speaker 1: know what they're going to have in store for him
- 20:17Speaker 1: as far as like if he's going to wrestle a Backlash,
- 20:19Speaker 1: or what that next big program is going to be.
- 20:22Speaker 1: We can look ahead and see Roman rains, we can
- 20:25Speaker 1: look ahead and see Gunther right these are obvious matches.
- 20:28Speaker 1: It doesn't look like they're going to any of those
- 20:30Speaker 1: just yet, So we'll see, we'll see what they have
- 20:33Speaker 1: in store for him. But he is going to be
- 20:36Speaker 1: the face of this brand before long. Right now, it's
- 20:39Speaker 1: still you know, Roman Reigns. It was cmpunk. Now it's
- 20:41Speaker 1: Roman Reigns. That's not going to change anytime soon. But
- 20:46Speaker 1: inside of a year, he may well be the face
- 20:49Speaker 1: of Monday Night Raw. It will not take that long.
- 20:52Speaker 1: If it takes a year, if it takes nine months,
- 20:54Speaker 1: if it takes eighteen months, Oba is going to be
- 20:57Speaker 1: that guy on this show. He will go there. We
- 21:02Speaker 1: have the new WWE Women's Champion, Rhea Ripley her final
- 21:06Speaker 1: night officially on Monday Night Raw, teaming with her bff
- 21:11Speaker 1: who did not have a match of WrestleMania, Eo Sky,
- 21:14Speaker 1: to take on Oscar and Kyrie Saine. I guess this
- 21:18Speaker 1: is what Eo meant last week when she wrote on
- 21:20Speaker 1: social media see you in Las Vegas, Osca. Little did
- 21:24Speaker 1: we know she bent the Raw after WrestleMania, which was
- 21:27Speaker 1: at the Team Oble Arena tonight. Ahead of a commercial break,
- 21:31Speaker 1: Kyrie delivered an insane elbow to a standing rear Ripley
- 21:36Speaker 1: outside the ring. Oba versus Dan Hausen. Okay, I think
- 21:40Speaker 1: we just found the direction for Oba. So you're gonna
- 21:43Speaker 1: go from a I can't even call it a feud.
- 21:47Speaker 1: He did have two matches with him on SmackDown, but
- 21:49Speaker 1: you're gonna go from Kit Wilson to feuding oba with
- 21:53Speaker 1: brock Lesner and then having him in a program with
- 21:58Speaker 1: Dan Hausen. I see Mark Shapiro, is that you and
- 22:03Speaker 1: the chat? I think we got some Tko moles in
- 22:09Speaker 1: the chat trying to book the territory here, so the
- 22:15Speaker 1: Kabuki Warriors they held control through the commercial break. Eo
- 22:18Speaker 1: got the hot tag, she went to work. She also
- 22:21Speaker 1: got the crowd noise up, because they were pretty quiet
- 22:24Speaker 1: for the first few minutes of this. Rhea gave Oscar
- 22:26Speaker 1: a razor's edge. Eo followed with a missile dropkick. EO
- 22:29Speaker 1: caught Oscar with her crazy suicide dive out to the floor.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Key word there being suicide because this is the second
- 22:37Speaker 1: time now in the last few weeks that Eo Sky
- 22:42Speaker 1: has brained herself on the floor outside. I think this
- 22:45Speaker 1: actually looked worse. I'd have to go back and see
- 22:49Speaker 1: it again, but I think this looked worse than the
- 22:50Speaker 1: first time she did it, where she just comes out
- 22:53Speaker 1: of the ring and it's not that she's like folded
- 22:55Speaker 1: up on the back of her neck, like she comes
- 22:57Speaker 1: down right on top of her head and then she
- 23:01Speaker 1: pops up and no sells it, and it's like, I'm
- 23:04Speaker 1: watching this and I'm just like, man, fuck, Like, I
- 23:09Speaker 1: know she's a Joshi, and Joshi's are just built different.
- 23:13Speaker 1: I get it, but please stop landing on your fucking head.
- 23:19Speaker 1: We talk about this sometimes with people, like when I'm
- 23:22Speaker 1: watching aaw and especially on these pay per views, and
- 23:26Speaker 1: some of these guys, look, will Osprey is as guilty
- 23:29Speaker 1: of this as anybody I've seen where or I should
- 23:32Speaker 1: say Cody Aboushie was. But there are certain wrestlers it
- 23:35Speaker 1: seems like they like landing on their neck or they
- 23:38Speaker 1: like being dropped on their head, and I just watch
- 23:42Speaker 1: it and I WinCE and I cringe, and I'm like,
- 23:43Speaker 1: can we not do this? Can we not shorten your
- 23:47Speaker 1: career by a few years? I love Yo to death
- 23:52Speaker 1: and the dives look great because they're so wild and
- 23:55Speaker 1: out of control, but maybe there's a message there. So
- 24:01Speaker 1: in the ring, Rhea gave Kyrie a riptide. Eo followed
- 24:04Speaker 1: with her over the moon salt for the pin so
- 24:10Speaker 1: Eo Pin Kyrie, which preserves the future match if we
- 24:15Speaker 1: ever get it between Eo and Osca. I am hopeful
- 24:19Speaker 1: that that will be the backlash match. You never know
- 24:23Speaker 1: what these pls. You know, Triple Ah doesn't like having
- 24:25Speaker 1: more than five matches on these show. I'm sure Backlash
- 24:28Speaker 1: will have five matches. Of the five matches, would they
- 24:32Speaker 1: actually give one of those spots to a women's match
- 24:36Speaker 1: on the mid card with no title involved. I'm skeptical.
- 24:42Speaker 1: This could just as easily be a Monday Night Raw
- 24:44Speaker 1: match in two weeks. But as far as Rhea, we'll
- 24:50Speaker 1: talk more about her later because this was her sendoff here.
- 24:52Speaker 1: We had one more segment with her later in the show. Backstage,
- 24:57Speaker 1: Adam Pierce was chatting with Penta and he was congresslating
- 25:00Speaker 1: the Intercontinental Champion on his win at WrestleMania. Javon Evans
- 25:05Speaker 1: showed up and he congratulated Penta, but he said he
- 25:08Speaker 1: planned to become the Intercontinental Champion soon. He said that
- 25:11Speaker 1: he should have been the Intercontinental champion. Basically, Penta said
- 25:15Speaker 1: that the title wasn't leaving him anytime soon, and he
- 25:18Speaker 1: did his cat phrase and he left, and then Ethan
- 25:21Speaker 1: Page walks in. I said, finally, I've been waiting for
- 25:25Speaker 1: this guy. I thought maybe he'd end up on SmackDown,
- 25:27Speaker 1: but this is fine, so he ends up on Raw.
- 25:29Speaker 1: Here he shows up and Pierce introduces him to Javon Evans,
- 25:33Speaker 1: who's very familiar with Ethan Page because these two have
- 25:37Speaker 1: a history together in NXTWO. And when he walked in again,
- 25:42Speaker 1: this was in the back, but you could hear the crowd.
- 25:44Speaker 1: The crowd in Las Vegas gave him a great reaction,
- 25:47Speaker 1: you know, when he walked in, they knew who he
- 25:49Speaker 1: was and they were happy to see him. So Page
- 25:52Speaker 1: mocked Evans for thinking that he even deserved another title shot.
- 25:55Speaker 1: He said that he wanted the Intercontinental title, and unlike Javon,
- 25:59Speaker 1: he wouldn't need a second shot at it. Evans got
- 26:03Speaker 1: up in his face, so Pierce got in between them
- 26:05Speaker 1: and said, you could settle this in the ring tonight.
- 26:10Speaker 1: The crowd was happy about that. In fact, the crowd
- 26:13Speaker 1: let out such a cheer. Whatever Page said in response,
- 26:16Speaker 1: I couldn't even hear what he said because the crowd
- 26:19Speaker 1: was so loud and he spoke so low, or maybe
- 26:22Speaker 1: it was the way he was miked, but I couldn't
- 26:24Speaker 1: even hear what he said. I love this move again.
- 26:27Speaker 1: I was thinking maybe he would end up on SmackDown.
- 26:29Speaker 1: I keep thinking of SmackDown because SmackDown really needs the
- 26:32Speaker 1: help and SmackDown has the extra hour, so you're gonna
- 26:36Speaker 1: have or gonna need more people on that roster anyway.
- 26:40Speaker 1: And also like he was doing the mixtag thing with
- 26:42Speaker 1: Chelsea Green, She's on SmackDown, so I thought maybe there
- 26:46Speaker 1: could be something there. But he will do just fine
- 26:49Speaker 1: on Monday Night bra. He did very well for himself
- 26:52Speaker 1: an NXT. He was very well regarded by Shawn Michaels.
- 26:56Speaker 1: That much was clear if you watch the new Seawn
- 26:58Speaker 1: Michaels document entry on Peacock. There's some stuff on there,
- 27:02Speaker 1: some interactions with him and Ethan Page, and I'm happy
- 27:06Speaker 1: for him. You know, he put the work in. He
- 27:08Speaker 1: kind of transformed his body a little bit from when
- 27:11Speaker 1: he was in AW. He really didn't do a whole
- 27:14Speaker 1: lot in AW. You know, he had a thing going
- 27:17Speaker 1: with the Men of the Year with Scorpio Sky and
- 27:19Speaker 1: he was doing some stuff, but like they never they
- 27:23Speaker 1: never did anything significant with him. And so in NXT,
- 27:28Speaker 1: because it is a smaller roster, he had the chance
- 27:31Speaker 1: to show that he could be a top guy on
- 27:32Speaker 1: a brand, and I think that really helped him as
- 27:35Speaker 1: opposed to him, let's say signing and then being put
- 27:38Speaker 1: immediately on Raw or immediately on smackdand he might have
- 27:41Speaker 1: done well, but I actually think him being an NXT
- 27:43Speaker 1: for so long benefited him. So I think he's going
- 27:47Speaker 1: to do well, and I'm happy to see him get
- 27:49Speaker 1: the call up. And also the fact that he's already
- 27:51Speaker 1: got eyes on the Intercontinental title. He's gonna he's gonna
- 27:55Speaker 1: have that championship within a few months. Like that title
- 27:58Speaker 1: just has his name on it. It will literally have
- 28:01Speaker 1: his name on. Do they do name plates anymore, I
- 28:03Speaker 1: don't even know if they do. I think they do.
- 28:05Speaker 1: If they do name plates on the center plate, he
- 28:07Speaker 1: will have his name on that title very soon. Now
- 28:11Speaker 1: they showed see him punk. He was walking backstage and
- 28:15Speaker 1: the cameras following him through the gorilla position. Some fans
- 28:19Speaker 1: were chanting his name, some fans were noticeably booing, and
- 28:23Speaker 1: he walked out onto the stage no music, so very
- 28:27Speaker 1: similar to his WrestleMania entrance. And he gets on stage,
- 28:31Speaker 1: he gets down to a knee and he says it's
- 28:36Speaker 1: and then the fans said clobber in time. Then they
- 28:39Speaker 1: played cul to personality and he made his way down
- 28:42Speaker 1: to the ring. So we had a little bit of
- 28:44Speaker 1: a story time here with Cmpunk on Monday Night Raw.
- 28:49Speaker 1: He said that he's dealt with a lot of loss recently.
- 28:52Speaker 1: His MMA trainer, Duke Rufus, passed away in October. In November,
- 28:58Speaker 1: Larry the Dog he crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. WWE
- 29:02Speaker 1: suffered a number of losses involving behind the scenes employees.
- 29:07Speaker 1: He paid tribute to many of these people by the
- 29:09Speaker 1: way on his jacket at wrestlemani id talked about some
- 29:11Speaker 1: of the names that were embroidered onto the jacket, so
- 29:15Speaker 1: he mentioned some of those names. He mentioned the death
- 29:18Speaker 1: of Bo Looters earlier this month, and he said I
- 29:22Speaker 1: also lost the World Heavyweight Championship, and that stings less
- 29:27Speaker 1: obviously than the other names that he mentioned. He's not
- 29:30Speaker 1: trying to compare losing a wrestling title to these people
- 29:32Speaker 1: that died, but the point is he has suffered a
- 29:35Speaker 1: lot of losses recently, and he thanked the fans for
- 29:39Speaker 1: helping him deal with his grief. But he said he
- 29:42Speaker 1: wasn't even supposed to be the world champion, which is
- 29:45Speaker 1: what I mentioned when I talked about his reign at
- 29:47Speaker 1: the end of the main event last night. I said,
- 29:48Speaker 1: this was not even supposed to happen. Seth Rollins got
- 29:53Speaker 1: hurt and he benefited from it. He had that match
- 29:56Speaker 1: with Jay Usso on Saturday Night's main event. He won
- 29:59Speaker 1: the World Heavyweight Champampionship and he ended up holding it
- 30:02Speaker 1: all the way through WrestleMania. But he was a fighting champion.
- 30:05Speaker 1: He would defend his title even on television, and he
- 30:07Speaker 1: had a good run. You know, he had a good
- 30:09Speaker 1: run for himself, and he had some quality wrestling matches
- 30:12Speaker 1: out of it. He said he was just going to
- 30:15Speaker 1: accept winning and losing the world title in three minutes
- 30:18Speaker 1: from Gunther at SummerSlam. Before Seth Rollins cashed in his
- 30:21Speaker 1: money in the bank and that was going to be it,
- 30:24Speaker 1: and he said he could have gone home, but he
- 30:27Speaker 1: always stays ready. Look at this, he's Jack and Matt Cardona,
- 30:32Speaker 1: he's his gimmick. Hmm. He's a Jack and Matt Cardona's gimmick,
- 30:39Speaker 1: which could be taken a lot of ways. But I
- 30:41Speaker 1: think you know what, Jesus Christ, I think you know
- 30:45Speaker 1: what I mean by that. Stop Jack and his gimmick. Anyway,
- 30:51Speaker 1: I'm sure Matt Cardona was listening to this, going man,
- 30:54Speaker 1: stop using my catchphrase. But he's always ready, he says.
- 30:57Speaker 1: He says, he became champion and if he didn't stay ready,
- 31:00Speaker 1: jay Uso would be the one walking out here right now,
- 31:03Speaker 1: and the fans booed, so he felt compelled to defend
- 31:06Speaker 1: jay Usso he said, Hey, I like to yeat like
- 31:09Speaker 1: everybody else. He goes get with the program Las Vegas.
- 31:13Speaker 1: So why is he out here? Then, he says, with
- 31:15Speaker 1: a smile on his face and a pep in his step,
- 31:20Speaker 1: because even though he may have lost, he says, he's
- 31:22Speaker 1: still the best in the world. He's still the best
- 31:27Speaker 1: in the world, and obviously that makes it very happy.
- 31:29Speaker 1: He proved it last night, he said. He said he
- 31:32Speaker 1: gave it everything he had and he's not going to complain,
- 31:35Speaker 1: and he's not going to go on vacation. He's going
- 31:38Speaker 1: to stay ready because you never know when a championship
- 31:42Speaker 1: opportunity might fall out of the sky. And he went
- 31:46Speaker 1: to go leave, and he stopped in his tracks when
- 31:50Speaker 1: they played Cody Rose's the music, and out came the
- 31:55Speaker 1: WWE Champion. Hey, you guys are too You know that
- 32:03Speaker 1: you guys are too much, So the WWE Champion came out.
- 32:08Speaker 1: He pulled the shades off and then his eye does
- 32:11Speaker 1: not look good. He had a very badly bruised black eye.
- 32:16Speaker 1: At least it wasn't swollen shot like it was on
- 32:19Speaker 1: Saturday Night. It was actually open and apparently there is
- 32:23Speaker 1: no orbital injury. I don't think it's anything where he
- 32:26Speaker 1: should be out for an extended period of time. Looking
- 32:29Speaker 1: at him right now, I don't see how he can
- 32:31Speaker 1: be medically cleared. So I don't know if the idea
- 32:34Speaker 1: was that he would wrestle and defend his title of Backlash.
- 32:38Speaker 1: Let's say, I don't see how that you know, I mean,
- 32:42Speaker 1: it might be possible, but I don't see how that
- 32:44Speaker 1: timeline is going to work. So I'm not so sure
- 32:47Speaker 1: about him defending that championship on that show. They do
- 32:50Speaker 1: have Clash in Italy at the end of May, so
- 32:52Speaker 1: maybe Roman defends a Backlash and then Cody defends his belt.
- 32:56Speaker 1: Maybe on that show, when you have two pls in
- 32:59Speaker 1: the same month, you can kind of spread him out
- 33:01Speaker 1: like that. But Cody gets in the ring and he said, honestly,
- 33:05Speaker 1: he was surprised by how Chipper Punk was acting. Punk asked, Cody,
- 33:13Speaker 1: what you thought I was going to come out here
- 33:14Speaker 1: and crash out and Cody said, yeah, I did. Cody's
- 33:20Speaker 1: the one standing here and feeling and looking like a loser,
- 33:25Speaker 1: and Punk said, well, does that mean that you think
- 33:27Speaker 1: I should feel like a loser? Punk says that some
- 33:30Speaker 1: people think he looks like a loser. I mean sure,
- 33:32Speaker 1: that could be a word that he would use to
- 33:33Speaker 1: describe himself. On Saturday Night, Cody beat a WWE Hall
- 33:38Speaker 1: of Famer first ballot hall of Famer in Randy Orton.
- 33:41Speaker 1: He also beat a friend and a mentor, which is
- 33:43Speaker 1: a hard thing to do. Punk said, look at me.
- 33:46Speaker 1: I hated my opponent. It was easy for me to
- 33:48Speaker 1: go in there and kick the shit out of him.
- 33:51Speaker 1: You had a harder job than I did because you
- 33:53Speaker 1: actually liked the person that you were in the ring with,
- 33:56Speaker 1: and you won and I lost. He says, Cody's path
- 34:01Speaker 1: is just keep winning, keep defending that championship, and just
- 34:04Speaker 1: keep winning. Punks is to stay ready because again, you
- 34:09Speaker 1: never know when a championship opportunity might fall out of
- 34:13Speaker 1: the sky. So he drops the mic, he leaves the ring,
- 34:16Speaker 1: and as he's leaving, Cody just says, just say when,
- 34:21Speaker 1: and Punk smiles and he walks to the back that
- 34:25Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, is what you call a tease. They're
- 34:30Speaker 1: queuing you up for the eventual match, just don't know
- 34:34Speaker 1: when that match is going to happen. If Punk moves
- 34:37Speaker 1: to SmackDown, which is the move that would make sense
- 34:39Speaker 1: because SmackDown could use him, then that makes the match
- 34:42Speaker 1: a lot more likely to happen this year. I could
- 34:45Speaker 1: see that being a Summer Slim match. Summer Slim's two
- 34:48Speaker 1: nights again this year, and so I could see that
- 34:52Speaker 1: being a Summer Slim made event, but it could also
- 34:53Speaker 1: be a WrestleMania made event, so big enough. Honestly, it
- 34:57Speaker 1: is one of the biggest matches the ww can do
- 35:00Speaker 1: right now, is Cody Roads against Cmpunk. There are very
- 35:05Speaker 1: few other matches I could think of. I mean, obviously
- 35:07Speaker 1: people will talk about Rock and Roman or Cody and
- 35:10Speaker 1: Rock right because their story is unfinished, Roman and Oba
- 35:16Speaker 1: or so you know, there are certain matches that are
- 35:19Speaker 1: big matches that WWE can do Cody and Punk. If
- 35:23Speaker 1: it's not number one, it's top two or three, So
- 35:26Speaker 1: that's not going to be a match that they're just
- 35:28Speaker 1: going to want to give away. SummerSlam would be the
- 35:31Speaker 1: absolute earliest I would see them doing that. Match, and
- 35:34Speaker 1: even then I'm not sure that's when they would want
- 35:36Speaker 1: to do it. But what I also liked here in
- 35:39Speaker 1: this segment was the contrast between these two. Then Normally,
- 35:44Speaker 1: if somebody loses a World championship and they come out
- 35:47Speaker 1: on television the next night or two nights later and
- 35:51Speaker 1: they're smiling and they're all happy, like, it gets on
- 35:55Speaker 1: my nerves because John Cena would do that all the time.
- 35:57Speaker 1: Nothing ever bothered this guy, nothing we got under his skin.
- 36:01Speaker 1: Everything was always it was gonna be okay, Everything's gonna
- 36:03Speaker 1: be all right. Of course it was because he inevitably
- 36:07Speaker 1: he always got the title back. Anyway, I'd be smiling too,
- 36:10Speaker 1: but that used to drive me some fucking nuts. And
- 36:13Speaker 1: in this case, you know, Punk came out and he
- 36:15Speaker 1: explained it. He said, look, I went in there and
- 36:18Speaker 1: I lost, but I'm happy because I prove that I'm
- 36:22Speaker 1: the best in the world, which he didn't really prove
- 36:23Speaker 1: that he's the best in the world because you fucking lost.
- 36:27Speaker 1: But you know, in WWE today, it's like, oh well,
- 36:29Speaker 1: as long as I entertained all of you, as long
- 36:31Speaker 1: as I had a good performance, that's what counts. Like
- 36:36Speaker 1: blow me, it's about winning and losing. But he went
- 36:40Speaker 1: out there and the way he explained it like whatever,
- 36:42Speaker 1: it's it's fine. But I liked the contrast that he
- 36:46Speaker 1: lost last night and he came out he was in
- 36:49Speaker 1: a good mood. Cody won and he walked out there
- 36:53Speaker 1: and he looked like he was in the fight of
- 36:55Speaker 1: his life. I mean he looked at me. He's like
- 36:57Speaker 1: basically just sort of like almost limping down the eye
- 37:00Speaker 1: to the ring, and he looked very worse for wear,
- 37:03Speaker 1: and he did not look to be in a great mood.
- 37:06Speaker 1: So it was an interesting contrast considering who actually won
- 37:09Speaker 1: and who actually lost this weekend. But we'll see when
- 37:13Speaker 1: we actually get this match. If they move Punk over
- 37:17Speaker 1: to SmackDown this Friday, it how do you keep those
- 37:21Speaker 1: two apart long enough? Like it just seemed to me
- 37:26Speaker 1: that you're gonna have to get to that match sooner
- 37:28Speaker 1: than later, So it would be more interesting to see
- 37:33Speaker 1: how they keep them apart. Considering the segment that we
- 37:37Speaker 1: had tonight, And again, if Drew McIntyre stays on SmackDown,
- 37:40Speaker 1: how do you keep those two apart? The whole point
- 37:43Speaker 1: Like when they had their Hell in a Cell match
- 37:44Speaker 1: and that was over, was that these two guys hate
- 37:47Speaker 1: each other so much, like they cannot be on the
- 37:51Speaker 1: same brand, They cannot coexist on the same show, so
- 37:54Speaker 1: you have to separate them. But now if they're back
- 37:56Speaker 1: on the same show, you're not gonna go back to
- 37:58Speaker 1: Punk and McIntyre. I almost feel like you would have
- 38:00Speaker 1: to move McIntyre in that case, but they already moved,
- 38:04Speaker 1: you know, Jacob Fatu, So to move him to the
- 38:07Speaker 1: same show that Jacob just moved to, it's a little weird.
- 38:11Speaker 1: I don't think they're gonna do that. We got a
- 38:14Speaker 1: pre tap promo from Finn Balor talking about how dom
- 38:17Speaker 1: got everything that he had coming to him at WrestleMania
- 38:20Speaker 1: and the Demon put him down, but he's not finished
- 38:23Speaker 1: with the Judgment Day. He expected this type of betrayal
- 38:26Speaker 1: from Dominic, but he didn't expect this from JD McDonough.
- 38:31Speaker 1: So JD was a kid that walked into a gym
- 38:33Speaker 1: in Ireland and Finn helped him grow into one of
- 38:35Speaker 1: the best performers on the planet. When he needed someone
- 38:39Speaker 1: in the Judgment Day that would have his back no
- 38:40Speaker 1: matter what, he chose McDonough but JD chose Dom. Balor
- 38:45Speaker 1: said he brought JD into this business, and tonight he's
- 38:49Speaker 1: going to take him out. This week's episode is sponsored

- 40:32Speaker 1: it was time for Ethan Page to officially make his
- 40:35Speaker 1: in ring debut on Monday Night Raw against Javon Evans.
- 40:41Speaker 1: Fine little match here. They ended up outside where Evans
- 40:44Speaker 1: laid Page out across the announced desk and he had
- 40:48Speaker 1: some evil intentions. But before we could find out what
- 40:51Speaker 1: he had in mind, Russeps showed up. All of a sudden,
- 40:55Speaker 1: he's right there, he's in the timekeepers area and he
- 40:58Speaker 1: takes a swing at Javon misses and Javon I think
- 41:02Speaker 1: punched him. And now Javon had a moment where he
- 41:05Speaker 1: had to make a decision. Does he go after Ethan Page,
- 41:08Speaker 1: his opponent, or does he go after Russev? And he
- 41:12Speaker 1: chose Russev, so he dove over the time keeper's barricade
- 41:16Speaker 1: onto Russev. Evans went to the ropes, but he got
- 41:20Speaker 1: tripped up by Ethan, who finished him off with his
- 41:23Speaker 1: twisted grin finish for the wind. Russev then attacked Javon
- 41:28Speaker 1: in the ring, and Page is just like, peace out.
- 41:32Speaker 1: I'm getting out of here. I don't want to have
- 41:33Speaker 1: anything to do with this. I got the dub, I'm
- 41:36Speaker 1: on my way out, so he exited the ring. Russev
- 41:40Speaker 1: put Evans in the accolade, not for very long though.
- 41:43Speaker 1: They played Penta's music and the Intercontinental champion came sprinting
- 41:47Speaker 1: down to the ring. He attacked Russev, but when he
- 41:50Speaker 1: went to the ropes, Page came back and he tripped
- 41:52Speaker 1: up Penta, and Penta got wiped out with a Machka kick.
- 41:58Speaker 1: Ethan was applauding russe Russev looked very non plus by
- 42:02Speaker 1: all this. He kind of sneered at him, and at
- 42:05Speaker 1: that point Page backed away and Russev locked Penta in
- 42:08Speaker 1: the accolade and then he posed with the Intercontinental title.
- 42:12Speaker 1: So the Intercontinental title scene right now on Monday Night
- 42:15Speaker 1: Raw is looking pretty good. You know, he got Penta
- 42:16Speaker 1: as the champion, and really all the guys, most of
- 42:19Speaker 1: the guys, maybe not Ray because I don't see him
- 42:23Speaker 1: still being a part of this particular division, but like Penta,
- 42:28Speaker 1: Dragon Lee, maybe JD. McDonough, Russev, those are the guys
- 42:33Speaker 1: that are still going to be fighting over this championship.
- 42:36Speaker 1: And now you add Ethan Page into the equation, and
- 42:40Speaker 1: there's other possibilities as well. You got the Americanos, I mean,
- 42:43Speaker 1: they weren't part of the ladder match. My hope is
- 42:45Speaker 1: that when the two Americanos have their mask match at
- 42:48Speaker 1: the end of next month and Gable hopefully gets unmasked,
- 42:52Speaker 1: we can get him back into the mix here, you know,
- 42:55Speaker 1: away from the Americano bullshit, get him into the Intercontinental titles.
- 43:00Speaker 1: So they got a pretty good thing going. I think
- 43:02Speaker 1: it's a pretty strong division right now, basically the opposite
- 43:05Speaker 1: of the tag team division on either show that is
- 43:10Speaker 1: not very strong. I wish I could say otherwise, but
- 43:13Speaker 1: I'd be lying to you if I did. Now. After
- 43:17Speaker 1: a break, we got the Judgment Day all making their
- 43:20Speaker 1: way down to the ring, including the new Women's World Champion,
- 43:23Speaker 1: Live Morgan. She came out, They all came out to
- 43:27Speaker 1: her new song Trouble. It's her new official entrance theme.
- 43:31Speaker 1: So she called herself the greatest Women's World Champion of
- 43:34Speaker 1: all time. She thanked her Judgment Day family. She also
- 43:37Speaker 1: thanked her WrestleMania opponent. She thanked Stephanie Vicaire for reminding
- 43:41Speaker 1: her that she was the most talented woman in WWE.
- 43:44Speaker 1: This was her ring, this was her division, this was
- 43:47Speaker 1: her show, and this is her championship and if anybody
- 43:51Speaker 1: thought that she was troubled before, just wait. So then
- 43:55Speaker 1: she was interrupted, not by Stephanie, she was interrupted by
- 44:00Speaker 1: soul Ruca from NXT, who got a much bigger reaction
- 44:06Speaker 1: than you would think, or maybe not. She is very
- 44:08Speaker 1: popular and she had that one match, that one main
- 44:12Speaker 1: roster match on the Saturday Night's main event several months ago,
- 44:16Speaker 1: and she was pretty over there too, But not like
- 44:19Speaker 1: this crowd in Las Vegas. They knew exactly who she
- 44:22Speaker 1: was and she got a great reaction coming out here.
- 44:26Speaker 1: She got into the ring. She called Live an inspiration.
- 44:29Speaker 1: She's like putting her over. She's saying all these nice
- 44:31Speaker 1: things about Live Morgan, and Morgan said that, Ruka, you
- 44:35Speaker 1: got some nerve interrupting my celebration. But because you were
- 44:39Speaker 1: so nice to me, I'm gonna say this as nicely
- 44:41Speaker 1: as I can. You are no Live Morgan, sweetie. She
- 44:46Speaker 1: told Ruka to get out of her ring, and Soul said,
- 44:49Speaker 1: I'm not out here for a fight, but I'm not
- 44:51Speaker 1: about to back down from one either. So Adam Pierce
- 44:56Speaker 1: walked out. He could see where this was going, and
- 44:58Speaker 1: he asked the fans in Vegas if they want I
- 45:00Speaker 1: wanted to see a fight. They said they did, so
- 45:03Speaker 1: he made a match between them, and that match would
- 45:05Speaker 1: be happening right now. So we got a non title, unplanned,
- 45:09Speaker 1: impromptu non title match between Liv Morgan and Soul Ruka.
- 45:14Speaker 1: And I'm looking at Soul Ruka out there, and I'm
- 45:18Speaker 1: just I'm thinking to myself, I'm trying to figure out,
- 45:22Speaker 1: like which one she reminds me of more, just like
- 45:24Speaker 1: in terms of the way that she's out there, the
- 45:26Speaker 1: way she's dressed and everything. Is it more Jeff Hardy
- 45:30Speaker 1: or is it more Lida, because I definitely see a
- 45:33Speaker 1: little bit of both in her, and that's not a
- 45:36Speaker 1: bad thing because they were super fucking over back in
- 45:39Speaker 1: the day. I mean, they went wild for Lida and
- 45:42Speaker 1: everybody loved Jeff Hardy. So she, I don't know, there's
- 45:46Speaker 1: something about she's like a free spirit. That plus also
- 45:50Speaker 1: some of the gear that she wears, but I just
- 45:54Speaker 1: can't figure out if there's one or the other. She
- 45:56Speaker 1: kind of reminds me a little bit of both. So anyway,
- 45:59Speaker 1: Morgan in the match, she went for three, Amigo's Soul
- 46:02Speaker 1: countered with a suplex of her own. She came off
- 46:04Speaker 1: the top rope, Lived though, caught her with a code
- 46:06Speaker 1: breaker on the way down for a near fall. Morgan
- 46:09Speaker 1: then went for Oblivion and Soul did this cool like
- 46:13Speaker 1: handstand counter out of it, and the fans popped for it.
- 46:17Speaker 1: She had a superkick and then she hit the soul Snatcher,
- 46:21Speaker 1: and even before she hit the soul Snatcher, like you
- 46:23Speaker 1: could hear the crowd like they were anticipating it. And
- 46:27Speaker 1: she hits the move and it's the best finished in wrestling,
- 46:30Speaker 1: just visually. It's just just a great move and she
- 46:34Speaker 1: hits it and Live Morgan rolls out to the floor
- 46:38Speaker 1: to avoid being pinned, and the people booed, so then
- 46:43Speaker 1: she did a handspring dive out over the top row
- 46:45Speaker 1: wiped out all the members of the judgment day on
- 46:47Speaker 1: the floor, and the Vegas crowd was just buzzing for
- 46:51Speaker 1: this woman. So Jessica Carr is the referee. She's checking
- 46:54Speaker 1: on live back in the ring, and she is taking
- 46:59Speaker 1: forever to do so, and that allows Zaria to show
- 47:03Speaker 1: up her former friend and tag team partners. She shows
- 47:06Speaker 1: up and she sends Soul face first into the ring
- 47:10Speaker 1: post and she gives her a spinebuster on the floor.
- 47:14Speaker 1: The two of them are wrestling on NXT tomorrow night.
- 47:18Speaker 1: So Jessica finally turns around. She sees soul Ruka on
- 47:21Speaker 1: the ground. Gee, I wonder what happened here? I didn't
- 47:25Speaker 1: see nothing, So she starts counting. Seul was able to
- 47:30Speaker 1: get back into the ring in time, just in time
- 47:32Speaker 1: for Live to hit Oblivion for the win. This was
- 47:37Speaker 1: very good. I enjoyed this match and I thought it
- 47:41Speaker 1: was an excellent debut for soul Ruka. Even though she lost,
- 47:44Speaker 1: there's no shame in losing to the world champion. She
- 47:47Speaker 1: gave her a tough fight now, and she got to showcase,
- 47:51Speaker 1: you know, some flashy offense. She got to do the
- 47:55Speaker 1: soul snatcher, which always gets over. The fans were fully
- 48:00Speaker 1: behind her here in this match, and look, when you
- 48:03Speaker 1: have a performance like that, even in defeat, you still
- 48:07Speaker 1: get over. So this was again a great first night
- 48:12Speaker 1: for her on Raw. They protected her with the Tzaria interference.
- 48:17Speaker 1: It also played into their match right because Zaria cost
- 48:20Speaker 1: her a win in her Raw debut. So now she's
- 48:22Speaker 1: going to be extra spicy now going into that match
- 48:26Speaker 1: tomorrow night. But I have to point this out. This
- 48:29Speaker 1: got eleven minutes. Actually it got more like eight minutes
- 48:33Speaker 1: that we saw because a good chunk of it happened
- 48:37Speaker 1: during the commercial break. Even if you take the eight
- 48:40Speaker 1: plus minutes that we saw on TV, this was longer
- 48:46Speaker 1: than the Women's World Championship match between Live Morgan and
- 48:50Speaker 1: Stephanie Vecaire at WrestleMania. That is inexcusable. Inexcusable. You could
- 48:59Speaker 1: have had a seven minutes Soul Ruka debut on Monday
- 49:02Speaker 1: Night Raw and given Live in Stephanie eleven or twelve
- 49:07Speaker 1: minutes a WrestleMania like the whole thing is just asked backwards, like,
- 49:12Speaker 1: what are we doing here? You built this issue up
- 49:15Speaker 1: for months between these two women for the World Championship,
- 49:19Speaker 1: and they couldn't muster more than seven minutes the WrestleMania
- 49:22Speaker 1: they got eleven tonight. Don't ask me, Don't ask me.
- 49:29Speaker 1: I got no good explanation for it. Now, as the
- 49:31Speaker 1: judgment they were leaving, they shot off Stephanie vicerrez Piro
- 49:37Speaker 1: and it scared the shit out of Live. Morgan would
- 49:41Speaker 1: have scared the shit out of me too if I
- 49:42Speaker 1: didn't know it was coming. So then Stephanie comes out
- 49:46Speaker 1: on stage and Live walks right up to her and
- 49:49Speaker 1: they come face to face. Live raises the title over
- 49:52Speaker 1: her head, and it looks like we are probably getting
- 49:56Speaker 1: a rematch in a few weeks of backlash. Seems to
- 49:59Speaker 1: be the direction here. You got to have some rematches,
- 50:03Speaker 1: a backlash, you expect it. You know they're coming that
- 50:07Speaker 1: one again. My only hope there, Stephanie's not going to
- 50:11Speaker 1: win the belt back, nor should she Live should have
- 50:16Speaker 1: her run. My hope is that they get more time
- 50:19Speaker 1: to really go out there and have a better match,
- 50:22Speaker 1: so the time that they were shortchanged in Vegas, hopefully
- 50:26Speaker 1: they get that and more in Tampa and they can
- 50:29Speaker 1: actually go out there and do some things that maybe
- 50:31Speaker 1: they had planned to do at WrestleMania didn't have the
- 50:34Speaker 1: chance to do, because they at least deserve that much,
- 50:38Speaker 1: especially if that's going to be their last match together.
- 50:40Speaker 1: So that would be my hope. There After this, we
- 50:43Speaker 1: had the video package I alluded to earlier for Brock Lesnar,
- 50:46Speaker 1: this historical look back at his career, starting from the
- 50:50Speaker 1: moment he debuted as the next big thing in two
- 50:53Speaker 1: thousand and two, all the way up until his apparent
- 50:55Speaker 1: retirement at WrestleMania this weekend. The choice of song, I
- 50:59Speaker 1: think though it was perfect, especially because I don't remember
- 51:02Speaker 1: what year I stand Alone came out by Godsmack. I
- 51:07Speaker 1: want to say it was early two thousands, and that's
- 51:10Speaker 1: when Brock debuted. Like it's funny when they started playing
- 51:13Speaker 1: the song here in the video and I saw that
- 51:15Speaker 1: first clip of him coming out on Raw and power
- 51:19Speaker 1: bomb not power bombing, but giving Maven the F five,
- 51:23Speaker 1: and then power bombing Spike Dudley, Like, I'm listening to
- 51:27Speaker 1: the song, it's so weird, like the way music works,
- 51:30Speaker 1: where you hear certain songs and it takes you back
- 51:35Speaker 1: to either a moment or a point in time. And
- 51:40Speaker 1: when I hear that song and other songs like it
- 51:43Speaker 1: from that genre, I always associate it with the Ruthless
- 51:46Speaker 1: Aggression era because I feel like we were hearing a
- 51:49Speaker 1: lot of that on WWE television at the time. Like
- 51:52Speaker 1: clearly somebody in production was like into that scene. So
- 51:56Speaker 1: so many pay per views and so many video packages,
- 51:59Speaker 1: whether it was Oddsmack or Creed and some of these
- 52:02Speaker 1: other bands, you know, Trust Company and Saliva and whatever else.
- 52:07Speaker 1: It just it kind of takes me back to that
- 52:09Speaker 1: time period. So for that reason, I thought that that
- 52:12Speaker 1: was a very Yes. Scorpion King, thank you. Yes Scorpion
- 52:15Speaker 1: and Scorpion King came out in two thousand and two,
- 52:17Speaker 1: I believe, which is the year that Brock debuted. So yes,
- 52:20Speaker 1: that's exactly what I'm talking about. This was very well done.
- 52:24Speaker 1: It was very well done. Look, the guy was an
- 52:27Speaker 1: athletic freak. There really has not been anybody like him
- 52:31Speaker 1: that has come onto the scene and dominated and been
- 52:34Speaker 1: pushed to the moon in the way that he was.
- 52:37Speaker 1: You think back to his rookie year. He had as
- 52:40Speaker 1: good of a rookie year as anybody in the history
- 52:42Speaker 1: of this company. I think for me, it always came
- 52:45Speaker 1: down to him and Brock him and Brock him and
- 52:48Speaker 1: Kurt Angle. The rookie years that those guys had are
- 52:52Speaker 1: better than any other rookie year that I've seen, and
- 52:55Speaker 1: there have been some great ones. Aj Styles had a
- 52:57Speaker 1: great rookie year. To me, none will top brock Lesnar.
- 53:00Speaker 1: Think of the way that this man burst onto the
- 53:02Speaker 1: scene and the people they had him working with. Now,
- 53:06Speaker 1: right out of the gate, they had him working with
- 53:08Speaker 1: the Hardys because the Hardies were so over and they
- 53:11Speaker 1: could bump for him and bounce around. But from there
- 53:14Speaker 1: he got in the ring with Rick Flair and he
- 53:16Speaker 1: fucking beat Hulk Hogan with a bear hug on TV.
- 53:19Speaker 1: They put the world title on him by Summer Slam.
- 53:21Speaker 1: He debuted in April, and they put the WWE Championship
- 53:25Speaker 1: on him in August, and then he worked Undertaker in
- 53:30Speaker 1: two back to back pay per view matches and beat
- 53:32Speaker 1: him in Hele and a Cell, and on and on
- 53:34Speaker 1: and on. There's no better rookie year. Flair, Rock Hogan, Undertaker.
- 53:41Speaker 1: What the fuck he would have beat Austin if Austin
- 53:43Speaker 1: didn't walk out. Austin's like fuck this, You're not blowing
- 53:47Speaker 1: this match off unannounced on TV in a qualifying match,
- 53:51Speaker 1: go fuck yourself. And he went home. His name would
- 53:54Speaker 1: have been on that list too. Never been in a
- 53:57Speaker 1: better rookie year than Brock Lesner and I see people
- 54:01Speaker 1: pointing that out when it comes to Oba Femi, and
- 54:04Speaker 1: it would be very appropriate considering that Brock was beaten
- 54:07Speaker 1: at WrestleMania by Oba. Oba is the next big thing?
- 54:10Speaker 1: Could Oba be holding World Championship gold by SummerSlam? Very possible.
- 54:17Speaker 1: That's what they call it, the Brock push. Oba maybe
- 54:20Speaker 1: getting the Brock push. It's been done before, But I
- 54:26Speaker 1: really do hope this is it for Brock. I don't
- 54:29Speaker 1: think that there could be a better sendoff for him.
- 54:32Speaker 1: Aj Styles got his sendoff at the Rumble scene, got
- 54:36Speaker 1: his sendoff on an episode of Saturday Night's Main Event,
- 54:40Speaker 1: so did Goldberg. I think for Brock to get his
- 54:43Speaker 1: on a show like Mania, on a stadium show in
- 54:45Speaker 1: front of fifty thousand people, and to go out by
- 54:48Speaker 1: putting over the quote unquote next big thing in the
- 54:51Speaker 1: way that he did right on ESPN, it's the biggest
- 54:55Speaker 1: possible platform. I mean, there is an argument to be
- 54:57Speaker 1: made SummerSlam coming to Minneapolis that used to be his home,
- 55:03Speaker 1: or at least where he went to school. But like,
- 55:05Speaker 1: that's kind of like Brock's place. And he won his
- 55:09Speaker 1: first World championship from the Rock at SummerSlam, So like
- 55:15Speaker 1: aj debuting and the Rumble, there's like a historical significance
- 55:18Speaker 1: there for him. The only way they would do that,
- 55:22Speaker 1: the only reason they would do that is if he
- 55:23Speaker 1: was going to wrestle Gunther, And to me, that's gonna
- 55:27Speaker 1: end up being a match that got away from them
- 55:29Speaker 1: for various reasons. They were not able to make that
- 55:31Speaker 1: match happen. I'm okay with it staying that way. I
- 55:35Speaker 1: don't see the needs to bring Brock back. He got
- 55:39Speaker 1: his send off, he passed the baton, he passed the torch.
- 55:44Speaker 1: What more could you ask for? Hopefully that was his
- 55:47Speaker 1: retirement at WrestleMania. Now from Brock, we went to Paul Hayman, Logan,
- 55:54Speaker 1: Paul and Austin Theory. Boy, you guys are having a
- 55:59Speaker 1: lot of fun reminis I see how disturb How could
- 56:01Speaker 1: I forget disturbed? I forgot to mention them corn seven dust.
- 56:09Speaker 1: Anybody listened to Soil back then? Soil was another one.
- 56:13Speaker 1: They had a great song called the one that I
- 56:15Speaker 1: used to be a big fan of God? Who else?
- 56:20Speaker 1: There were so many of those, so many of those bands.
- 56:28Speaker 1: Paul Hayman in the vision make their way to the ring.
- 56:30Speaker 1: Hayman said his favorite part of WrestleMania is to expect
- 56:33Speaker 1: the unexpected, and what he saw will live on in
- 56:36Speaker 1: people's hearts for a long time. Earlier tonight, Cmpunk was
- 56:40Speaker 1: kissing the asses of everybody in the back. But the
- 56:43Speaker 1: production team they forgot to do one thing. They forgot
- 56:47Speaker 1: to take Brock Lesner out of the opening signature. Then
- 56:51Speaker 1: Now Forever together, and they had Lesner in there under
- 56:55Speaker 1: the now. He said, take him out. He is no
- 57:00Speaker 1: longer part of the now. He is the forever. And
- 57:06Speaker 1: he said that he was the baddest ever in a
- 57:09Speaker 1: WWE ring. He gave us one more Barrock Lesner for
- 57:15Speaker 1: the last time until he inducts Brock into the Hall
- 57:18Speaker 1: of Fame one day, assuming they could pay Brock enough
- 57:21Speaker 1: to come in for the Hall of Fame. I think
- 57:24Speaker 1: they do pay these guys. I think it used to
- 57:27Speaker 1: be five thousand dollars. If they ever want to winduc
- 57:30Speaker 1: Brock into the Hall of Fame. I think it might
- 57:32Speaker 1: take more than that. I think it will to get
- 57:36Speaker 1: him to fly in for the Hall of Fame and
- 57:38Speaker 1: do any kind of speech. I think you would have
- 57:41Speaker 1: to pay him a tidy sum, but Hayman would have
- 57:44Speaker 1: to be the one doing the induction. But now we're
- 57:48Speaker 1: talking about the vision. The vision is the now talking
- 57:51Speaker 1: about Austin theory and Logan Paul and he handed the
- 57:56Speaker 1: microphone off to Logan, and Logan got nuclear heat from
- 58:01Speaker 1: the crowd here in Vegas. They booed him every time
- 58:03Speaker 1: he tried to speak. They drowned him. It's like the
- 58:06Speaker 1: dominic mysterio, the old dominic mysterio effect, and they would
- 58:09Speaker 1: not let him speak. But Logan says, the only reason
- 58:12Speaker 1: that the USO's in La Night stole the wind from
- 58:15Speaker 1: him in Austin is because of that backstabbing weasel I
- 58:19Speaker 1: show Speed. He's sick of these YouTubers and streamers thinking
- 58:24Speaker 1: that they can do whatever they want, they can come
- 58:27Speaker 1: into their business and do this. He hates those outsiders.
- 58:32Speaker 1: It says nothing that happened at WrestleMania matters because I
- 58:35Speaker 1: Show Speed left with a piece of his fist lodged
- 58:38Speaker 1: in his face and the Vision are still the world
- 58:41Speaker 1: tag team champions. So Hayman wants to take a moment
- 58:45Speaker 1: now to realize the great favor that was done for
- 58:47Speaker 1: him by Gunther who beat Seth Rollins, and he said
- 58:51Speaker 1: he is willing to repay that favor to Gunther anytime
- 58:54Speaker 1: he wants. But the best assist of the weekend goes
- 58:58Speaker 1: to the man that cuts Seth Rollins in half. And
- 59:02Speaker 1: with that he introduces Bron Breaker, who has a lot
- 59:08Speaker 1: more hair on his head than the last time we
- 59:09Speaker 1: saw him prior to this weekend. So Breaker comes down
- 59:13Speaker 1: to the ring and he hugs everybody, and he says
- 59:18Speaker 1: that he was thinking about how it was one year
- 59:20Speaker 1: ago that he took the leadership over of the Vision
- 59:25Speaker 1: in this very arena because Seth Rollins was too weak,
- 59:31Speaker 1: and I'm like, uh, I think his timeline may be
- 59:35Speaker 1: off a little bit. So Bron's favorite part about WRESTLEMANI
- 59:39Speaker 1: a Weekend was watching Rolins getting so close to beating
- 59:42Speaker 1: Gunther and then ruining everything for him. That brought him
- 59:46Speaker 1: a lot of joy. Broun hopes Seth is back in
- 59:49Speaker 1: the back somewhere or watching somewhere. From here on out,
- 59:52Speaker 1: he's going to attack him every single day. So Seth
- 59:57Speaker 1: Rollins struck first, he hid him from behind with a
- 59:59Speaker 1: chair and then he got swarmed by the rest of
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: the vision. The street profits music hit. I mean, talk
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: about random. When was the last time we saw these guys.
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: So they come out, no shirts on, no red solo cups,
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: They're all business. Montes, Ford, Angelo Dawkins. They charge it
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: down to the ring. They attack Austin, Theory and Logan.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: Paul Champs gets set into the floor, Montes dives out
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: onto them, lands on his feet and they brawl into
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: the crowd. Meanwhile, in the ring, bron Breaker he eats
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: a super kick because he's coming in, but he eats
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: a superkick from Seth Rawlins. Breaker, though avoids the stomp
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: and he hits a spear. Now. Breaker was bleeding badly,
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: and I couldn't tell it first, then it was very
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: clear he was bleeding from the back of the head.
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: So that chair shot from Rollins. I guess the lip
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: of the chair maybe caught him a little too well
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: in the back of the head, so he'll probably need
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: some stitches or staples. I couldn't see where the wound was,
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: but he was bleeding pretty badly from the back of
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: the head, and he tears off Seth's shirt and we
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: see tape underneath from Seth's match the night before, and
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: Breaker talks his shit and he says the people will
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: remember him being Rollin's as a shell of what he
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: used to be. And bron picked him up and he
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: hit the ropes back and forth, back and forth to
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: build up speed, and then one last super spear puts
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: down Seth Rollins. So we know we're going to get
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: a match between them, and we've known this for a while,
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: right they were just waiting for these guys to get healthy.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: Is it going to happen at Backlash? I would say
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: probably that would be a Backlash match, unless they want
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: to save it for a little bit longer, maybe until
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: the end of May. But we're going to get a
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: match between them, and when we do, I would I mean,
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: I would suspect that you wouldn't want to be beating
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: Bron Breaker. But Rollins just lost to gun Through or WrestleMania,
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: so I don't know if they want him to just
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: go in there and lose again. The outcome of that
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: match is a little it's a little dicey. It should
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: be a bron Breaker win though, and we'll see if
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: Rollins has to enlist some help here, because right now
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: he's all by himself out. He's out manned. You got Theory,
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: you got Logan, Paul, you got bron Breaker. Eventually Bronson
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: Reed is going to be back, but that's not going
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: to be for a few more months. Is Rollins going
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: to recruit some friends? And it's so who is that
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: going to be? Can't keep going out there every week
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: and getting his ass kicked. Maybe he'll bring his ninja
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: friends back. Boy, they disappeared, didn't they. You may have
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: to re enlist some of the ninjas. Finn Balor against
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: j D McDonough. McDonough also, like Rollins, came out with
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: his ribs taped up from the LA. He had a
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: good excuse for it though, from the ladder match or WrestleMania,
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: where this fucking guy in the ladder match last night
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: took a destroyer onto a ladder bridge and they had
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: him out here on Raw the next nighthistling another match.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: God bless this guy. He has my respect. So they
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: brawled briefly into the crowd. Balor got his mouth busted open.
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: I didn't see how a lot of hard way blood
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: on this show. So JD avoids a shotgun dropkick connects
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: with the giant and I do mean giant head for
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: the headbut JD goes up top moon salt and he
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: eats the knees on the way Actually wasn't even the knees.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: He got kicked in the fucking face on the way down.
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: Shotgun drop kick connects ballor goes up, hits the coup
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: de grass gets the three count. Uh. This was it
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: was decent, you know, for the three minutes that they got.
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: How are you gonna give Finn Balor and JD McDonough
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: three minutes when they kicked him out of the judgment day.
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: I thought we were gonna get this match weeks ago
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: on Raw and I was actually looking forward to I
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: think they advertised it and I was actually looking forward
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: to it. And I had some people go, it's fine
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: to save it for a pl really really, because we
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: got three minutes of it that actually aired. And I'm
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: not counting the commercial shit because I saw all the
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: commercials tonight. I couldn't see what was going on during
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: the commercials. Three minutes one and done. Thanks for coming.
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: These two can do so much more. These two guys,
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: if you gave them a solid ten to twelve just
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: one time to go out there and just have a
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: banger of a match, they would absolutely go out there
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: and tear the house down. Even if the people at
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: the beginning were quiet, like by by midway through, like
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: they'd be hanging onto every near fall, they ain't doing
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: this match on a pl I think this was the
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: last of it tonight that we saw. So Dom attacks
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: Finn from behind. After the match, Balor fights back, He
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: set up for the coup de grass and McDonough pulled
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: Dom out of the way to safety. I wish again,
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: I wish I could tell you that, you know, this
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: was some really good television match, but when you see
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: three or four minutes of it, what is there to say?
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: You know? I mean, how do you even adequately review
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: a three minute match? A three minute television match, That's
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: all I even need to say, and you can just
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: visualize it in your head. Barely had enough time to
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: get going here. This is where PL's having five matches
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: really hurts. Yeah, it does not saying they all have
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: to have eight nine matches, but when you are just
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: married to capping it at a certain number. It really does,
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: it really does handicap you now. Jackie Redman interviewed Gunther
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: in the back, who was all smiles after his win
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: against Seth Rollins at WrestleMania, and he said he feels fantastic.
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: He proved everything that he said about Seth Rollins was true,
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: but he wanted to make it clear there was no
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: WI because she asked him about Hayman. There's no WI
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: when it comes to him and Paul Hayman. Hayman simply
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: owed him a favor, and Jackie pressed him for more
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: information on what that was. Gunher ignored her. He just said,
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: the only thing people should expect is the world heavyweight title.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: Back around my waist. L A. Knight interrupts and I
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: just I see this guy walk in. I'm just like,
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: I'm this fucking guy. He congratulates Gunther, but he isn't
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: the only one with eyes on that world championship. The
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: way he sees it, Gunther needed a three on one
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: advantage to win at WrestleMania. He didn't, so the way
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: he sees it, Gunther got an l at WrestleMania and
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: he did his catchphrase and he left, and Gunther was
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: not amused. Poor La Knight. We know how this story ends.
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: That's all I can say. Elsewhere, backstage, Rhea, Ripley and
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: Eosky they shared a heartfelt goodbye. This was like something
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: out of a soap opera. And Ria told EO handle
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: your business on Raw. I'm going to go be champion
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: on SmackDown. And EO said, I couldn't really hear what
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: she said, but she was very sad. Ria was very sad.
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: I was very sad. Usually SmackDown is the show where
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: everybody was all depressed. We had a little bit of
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: that on Raw tonight. So as Rio was walking away,
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: we see Live Morgan just happens to be chilling on
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: top of one of the equipment cases and she sees
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: Rio walk by, and she made a comment to her.
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: She said, see you around, and Rhea said she was
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: looking forward to it, a nice little nod to their
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: past feud. And now both of them are world champions,
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: going their separate ways. And so at nearly ten thirty PM,
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: and this is normally a two and a half not
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: even a two and a half hour show. There are
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: weeks where Raw's over at ten, twenty, ten, twenty four,
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: but It's nearly ten thirty pm Eastern time, and an
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: suv pulls up to the arena outside and look who
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: decided to grace us with his presence. It is the
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: world heavyweight Champion, Roman Reigns, late arriving here to the
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: building and he exits the vehicle. He walks through the
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: back to Gorilla and he encounters his cousins. The Ussos
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: are just standing around waiting for him, and he goes
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: to enter by himself. He stops, he thinks about it,
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: and he invites his cousins to join him, so the
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: Usos come out with him. Roman, by the way, is
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: back to his og tribal Chief theme, which is the
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: better theme song. I'm glad he went back to it, or,
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: as I call it, his heel music. So he made
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: his way out to the ring with the Ussos, but
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: first they snuck in one last commercial break. Tell all
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: your friends that on the flip side of this break,
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: Roman Reigns is going to speak and he's going to
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: ask everybody to acknowledge him. So they come back and
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: he's in the ring, and he said he was going
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: to keep it simple and just talk about the future.
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: But then he ran into his cousins, and it makes
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: sense that they discuss some family business first. He said,
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: I miss this, and Jay said yee. He misses having
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: their full trust, He misses having their full respect and
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: their love and their admiration. He misses doing business with them.
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: Separated and scattered. They're weak cm punk and people like
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: him can run their mouth and disrespect them when they're separated.
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: Some rapper from the nineties running runs his mouth to
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: Jay he's talking about Cameron, says, Jay's got washed wrappers
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: running their mouths to him. You know why. That's because
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: they're separated. That's not them together. They have the power.
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: Nobody can touch them. They ran this business for four
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: years straight. He's not asking them to serve him, He's
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: asking them to be his blood and stand with him.
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: I'm telling you, man, Roman is still manipulating his family.
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: This guy hasn't changed the lick playing mind games with them.
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: We need to be back together, of course, because he's
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: got a championship again. So now he's got to do
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: everything in his power to make sure he doesn't lose
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: the title. He has to insulate himself from any and
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: all potential conflicts and challengers and people that may be
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: gunning for him, and so I need backup. I need
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: you guys with me. You're my blood. Basically, they need
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: to be his shield. They're just too stupid to realize it.
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: So Jimmy says, I speak for my brother when I
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: say this, Roman will always be their tribal chief. They
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: the twos and we the ones. So Jimmy threw the
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: mic down. He and Jay threw the ones up to
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: the sky and they stood beside Roman. And at this
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: point we hear Jacob Fatu's music. So now things are
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: getting interesting. Fat Tu makes his way down to the ring.
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: He's got a mic in his hand. Roman says, it's
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: been a while since the last time I saw you.
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: There can be only a couple of reasons why you
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: would come out here. I have to assume it's to
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: acknowledge me. Fat two says, Nah, that ain't it. Well,
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: then I guess it's because you want this talking about
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: the World Heavyweight Championship, and Jacob says, I don't want
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: that title. I need that title, and Roman has this
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: just annoyed look on his face. Jacob says he's not
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: out here to be tribal chief, but he needs every
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: thing that the tribal chief has. He needs the shoe deal,
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: he needs the private jets, he needs that rolex, he
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: needs more vehicles, he needs a bigger house. He has
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: to put his kids into better schools, and he'll do
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: anything for his family, even if he has to go through.
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: Roman goes a backlash. He's leveling up his household, and
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: Roman is going to know that Jacob Fatu is all
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: gas and no breaks. And there are chants of fatu
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: from the crowd. So Roman says, I agree with you.
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: I want all those things for you too. Maybe you
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: can beat me. But if you can beat me, can
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: you handle the burden of this title? He says. But
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: on the other side, if you can't beat me, can
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: you handle the burden of having to acknowledge me? Says,
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: understand this. I think the air up there right, this
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: rarefied air that he's in, this is the top of
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: the mountain. So he's going to give him the rest
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: of the week to think about it. He's not saying yes,
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: he's not saying no, but he's not sure that Jacob
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: is ready. So he'll see Jacob next week. On raw
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: little Cousin, and on that note, after calling him little cousin,
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: they left the ring, and that is how they went
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: off the air. First of all, getting Jacob on Raw
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: is a dub as far as I'm concerned. I'm a
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: big Jacob Fatu guy. He did you know? He did
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: a lot in recent months outside of the little break
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: he took on SmackDown, he feuded with a few different people,
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: and now it feels like, okay, you know some of
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: his family, his cousins now are on this show. He
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: has not been on Raw officially. He'll have new faces
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: to work with and he can be at or near
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: the top of the car. This is a good spot
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: for him to be in. They have largely kept him
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: and Roman apart for the most part since Jacob signed,
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: and so now the idea that not only are we
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: going to get a match between them, but this is
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: probably going to be the main event. I'm assuming Cody
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: will not even be defending his title at Backlash. This
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: is very likely gonna be the main event of Backlash
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: on May ninth. So they're gonna have the chance to
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: go out there and they're gonna get a good time.
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: Because look, if anybody's not gonna be short changed, it's
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: gonna be Roman reigns. They're gonna have plenty of time
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: to go out there and have a great match, and
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: I'm very much looking forward to it. The question is
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: how does it end? Where do you go at the
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: end of that match. Are we looking at a one
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: and done? Are we looking at a situation where at
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: the end of all of this, Jacob acknowledges him because
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: he's part of the family, he's part of the bloodline.
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: He falls in line. Roman has Jacob, He's got Jimmy,
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: he's got Jay. It's the blood line all over again,
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: only instead of Solo Sokoa, we have Jacob fought too.
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: That doesn't really appeal to me, even the idea of
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: like Jay Fatu being part of a group that he
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: it's almost like he's back to the whole dynamic with
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: him and Solo Sokoa where he's got his hands together,
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: like you know, I love you Solo, Like we don't
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: need to go back to that version of Jacob. If anything,
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: Jacob should be a leader of his own crew. And
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: maybe that could be a possibility. Right, Maybe at the
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: end of all this, the usos they're not so dumb,
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: they see what's going on here. Maybe they end up
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: aligning with Jacob Fatu. There's different ways you can go
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: with it, but it's still it's still the bloodline. So
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: I like Jacob being included. If he wasn't included, it
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: would be very hard for me to really get excited
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: about this. But you know, him being a part of this,
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: to me, it offers just enough of a different element
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: that I'm curious to see where it goes. The thing
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: that I'm happy about is that we are going to
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: get to see Roman more often. I don't know how
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: often he'll be wrestling, because not like I'm expecting him
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: to be working matches on Raw two or three times
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: a month, but just having him on the show, having
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: him present, having him in segments on the show, instead
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: of having an absentee world champion, which if that was
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: going to be the case, that the worst decision they
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: could have made was to put a world title back
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: on him. But now that he has said he'll be
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: here through the summer, we'll get to see him work
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: with a few different people. Maybe he drops the belt
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: to Gunther at Summer Slim, maybe he drops the belt
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: to Oba at SummerSlam. Those are two big matches that
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: you can build to those are two big matches that
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: I'm excited thinking about. Especially Roman and Oba would be
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: to me anyway more interesting than Roman and Gunther would be.
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: But Roman and Gunther would be a fresh match too.
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: I mean, we saw them at the end of the
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: Royal Rumble this year for a few minutes, but they've
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: never wrestled before right to my knowledge. So the biggest
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: takeaway from me from Raw tonight is that they tried
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: to put a fresh coat of paint on things. Where
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: a week ago Cmpunk really was the top star on
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: Monday Night Raw, and now it is very clear Roman
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: Reigns is the top star on Monday Night Raw and
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: he's going to be around. And now you've moved Jacob
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: Fatu over to Monday Night Raw seemingly cee im Punk.
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: It looks like he may be headed for Fridays. We
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: know Rhea is there's a realignment going on, which is good.
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: I think coming out of WrestleMania you should have something
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: of a realignment with some of these shows. But there
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: are certain names from NXT who wire overdue for a
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: call up. Ricky Saints, I think you can move him
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: over to Friday nights. Blake Monroe should already be on
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: Friday nights. J C. Jaane is the one who I'm
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: pretty confident she's going to be on television very soon
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: on probably Fridays. So we'll see what other names. Joe
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: Hendry I mentioned him Ethan Page is here. I like
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: these moves. It's a welcome change. It just freshens things
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: up a little bit. You know, you can't just run
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: with the same players in the same feud, same matches,
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: over and over and over again and keep things fresh
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: and interesting. You know, you just can't do that. So
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: that was my big takeaway from this show. It wasn't
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: like we had a lot of banger matches tonight or anything,
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: but they have set the table now for what will
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: hopefully be an interesting spring here on Raw because WrestleMania
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: is over. All the hooplah, all the excitement around WrestleMania,
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: it's over and the hardest part of the year. It's
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: really two things. You have this post Mania hangover where
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: WrestleMania is over and you have to now you're in
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: rematch mode, but you also have to start some new
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: stories with some new people, and like May and June,
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: those aren't like the biggest times of year and then
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: you also have the fall. But I think of that
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: holiday period post war games, where it's like a dead
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: zone typically, why John Cena wanted to have his retirement
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: match in December. It's like nothing is going on in December.
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: Why don't we have my retirement match in December? So
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: this is one of those times a year where you've
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: got to try something different, you know, and try to
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: create an element of excitement around these shows where it
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: can feel very dead, you know, this time of year.
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: So I enjoyed the show for the most part. No
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: Twitter poll to show because I, for whatever reason, I
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: can't log in anymore within obs and so the Twitter
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: poll is up if you would like to vote. I
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: just can't show them anymore. But I will tell you
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: that the pole is currently sitting at eighty two percent
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: thumbs up and eighteen percent thumbs down for tonight's show.
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: So it seems like most people enjoyed Monday Night Raw tonight,
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: which is good as long as you give me something
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: that I can either get excited about or something to
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: talk about. I don't want to sit here and be like, man,
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: this was a fucking bore. Those are the worst shows.
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: Go to your super chats. What did you think of raw?
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: What do you think of some of these roster moves?
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: Who would you move around? By the way, we are
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: currently sitting at six hundred and ninety likes. We need
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: seven hundred. Seven hundred is the goal for be the booker? Yes,
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: hashtag get solo excited. Get me excited, That's all I ask.
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: Get me excited. Hey, Joseph Stewart, you were missed this
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: weekend or Wrestlemedia. It's good to see you. It's good
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: to have you back. He's got a few questions. Happy
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: Monday to you two. There's a buyer sell Undertaker versus
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: Mankind boiler room brawl at Summer Slam or Undertaker versus Mankind.
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: Helen a Cell, King of the Ring ninety eight, Well, obviously,
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: I mean King of the Ring ninety eight is the
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: more memorable spectacle. I enjoyed the boiler room brawl. I'm
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: actually a fan of that match, but I gotta go.
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: Helen a Cell says, it's official. Scarlett Johanson will be
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: playing Harvey Dent's wife in The Batman Part two, and
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: she could be rewritten as the fantasm. I rely on
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: Joseph for all my Batman updates. I haven't been paying
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: attention to what's been going on with the production on
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: that movie. Says that Charles Dance is an talks to
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: join the Batman too. Is Harvey Den's father. I should
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: probably see the first one. Why did David Flair not
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: become a big star in WCW because he wasn't very good?
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: Are you a fan of liv Morgan's new song and
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: music video? I don't. I don't mind the new song.
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: It's fine, It's fine. Do you remember Macho Man having
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: a feud against Dennis Rodman in WCW. I think it
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: was over Gorgeous George. Yeah. I think that was actually
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: one of the last, if not the last pay per
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: view matches that Savage ever had in WCW. I think
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: it was. I think it might have been his singles
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: match anyway, I think that was the last pay per
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: view match he had there. I also remember that match
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: being garbage. It was not a very good match. Were
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: you a fan of Dominic Mysterios entrance at WrestleMania, Yeah,
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: it was cool coming out with the Lucha mask on
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: the throne. Wasn't the best entrance of the weekend or anything,
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: but it was fun. It was Rick Flair against Eric
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: Bischoff and WCW based off their real life feud at
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: the time. Were you a fan of the feud? It
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: was very much a case of art imitating life. Yes,
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: they did not like each other. Me personally, I didn't
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: really care for the feud. There was no real payoff
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: to it. We were never going to get a good
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: payoff to it. You know. We had that one memorable
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: segment where Flair came back in like September of ninety eight.
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: You know, fire me. I'm already fired, fire me. He
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: went on that rant. That was entertaining. But beyond that, nah,
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: I'm not really a fan of that feud. Did you
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: see Mike Myers appearance at a tribute show for Eddie
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: Murphy this past weekend? I was indisposed this past weekend.
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: I was in full wrestling modes, so no, I didn't
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: see it. There wasn't much I was really paying attention
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: to outside of wrestling this weekend. Do you remember when
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: Master P appeared on WCW. Yes, Master P and the
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: No Limit Soldiers. I remember that. Well, what should WCW
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: have done in nineteen ninety nine to keep people interested
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: in the product at the time. I think by then
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: it was too late. But what they should have done
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: is utilize their established stars to really set up the
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: future and try to create some new stars that could
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: carry them for years beyond. Because Hogan and Nash and
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: people like that, they were not going to do it. Hogan, Nash,
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: Luger and they just didn't do it. They didn't do
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: a You had enough job of creating stars for the future,
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: and that was one of the reasons they died. What
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: are your thoughts on Sid Vicius's son Gunner talking about
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: how his dad was honored at the Hall of Fame.
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: I think that he was right in a lot of
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: what he said, and I'm going to talk more extensively
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: about that tomorrow on the Uncrowned Wrestling Show. I'm going
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: to have my full thoughts on the Hall of Fame
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: as part of the show tomorrow. Have a blessed day,
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: as safe day, a wonderful day, and a great week.
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: You two, Joseph, thank you for the questions. I appreciate it.
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: It's good to see you. Crypto and Poker Solo. In
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: my opinion, Mania should be in Vegas every year. I
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: think you may be a little bit biased in that
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: though it should not be. Although I always enjoy my
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: time there, I might enjoy it more if I gambled,
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: But I don't GMB World champion before Braun Obo Will
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: but Will fought too as well. Will fought to be
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: a world champion before Braun Breaker. Hmm, I'm gonna say no.
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: Mark Kwan nineteen seventy six. Hey, Solo, I had a
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: medical appointment last Thursday. It was unable to attend the
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: Hog Show. I hope you guys will return to Vegas soon. Also,
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: because you see Wendy Chu having success on the main roster, well,
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: I'm sorry you missed it. You missed the hell of
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: a show. And no, I don't think with that character. No,
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: I don't think Wendy Chew is going to have much
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: luck on the main roster. I don't think we're going
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: to necessarily see Wendy Chew on the main roster. Dry Chicken,
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: Smokey and Craig from Friday tells Cody Rhodes, Damn, that
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: was my first thought when I saw him take the
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: glasses off and I saw what his eye look like.
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: Mark Shapiro and Tko have full WWE creative control Triple
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: H and his team reap what they sew. Shapiro wants
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: more is more, not less is more. Yeah, I mean
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: this is not news. I mean we know they again,
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: people they hear these things and they misread them and
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: they think, Oh, they're in the room, they're in the
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: writer's room. They're submitting ideas weekly on what. No, that's
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: not what they're doing. That's not what he means. We
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: already know that TKO has control over everything. The Winston
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: Slit Roman has eleven WrestleMania Maine events. How many were great?
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: Several of them? Actually, thirty one was great, thirty he
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: wasn't at thirty six though, right. Thirty one was great,
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: thirty seven was great, thirty nine was great, forty was great,
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: forty one was great, and forty two was great. He's
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: had a lot of great matches at WrestleMania. I don't
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: know if that was supposed to be a gotcha for him,
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: but he's had a lot of great WrestleMania matches. Devin
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: from NJ did you see the video of Punk smacking
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: the phone out of the fans hand? Was he out
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: of line or do fans need to get a life?
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: I think these fans need to get a life. I
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: probably would have done the same thing that he did.
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: Chris O'Neil. Do we get a new bloodline member other
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: than maybe fa too, I'm gonna say no, San Juan Wolf.
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: Every time I see the Americanos on my TV screen,
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: I physically and mentally deflate. For all that is holy,
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: I wish they would keep that shit on Triple A.
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: Outside of that, I enjoyed Monday Night Raw. Were they
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: on the show tonight? They had to be during the
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: commercial BREAKDN, I didn't see them tonight, Aaron says, looks
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: like we won't find out who attacked Jacob. Yeah, it
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: looks like we're not going to find out for sure.
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: The story has been abandoned. Retro koh random thought Punk
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: was completely justified smacking that creeper fans phone good on him. Yeah,
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: I would have done the same thing. They were creeping
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: on my wife. He's lucky you didn't do worse to him.
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: He could have shoved him on his ass. Uh, Nico,
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: thank you for the pair of super chat, says La Knight,
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: poor bastard. Yeah, I mean, what else is there left
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: to say on that? Or Whizzle? The Green Shirt crew
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: were representing tonight. Yeah, I saw those green shirt guys
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: in the front row. It was blinding. Looked like they're
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: multiplying plus ultra. Adrian been a fan since twenty fourteen.
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: Love everything you do, Solo, Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed, Adrian.
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: There's been a lot of content lately. It would suck
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: if you didn't enjoy it, Alex says brother Solo. If
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: those Mark Shapiro rumors are true regarding TKO having full
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: creative control, then this company is cooked. They're not in
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: the writer's room again. People I think are taking this
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: a little bit out of context. I don't think we
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: really learned anything there that we didn't already know. Chicago
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: for MBK. With the new call ups coming for Ron's SmackDown,
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: who do you think are the most high profile names
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: that could get the acts in the coming weeks. I
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: don't really want to speculate on whom I get fired
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: and lose their job. You know, we do tend to
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: have spring cleaning around this time of year. I would
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: just say if you are somebody who and frankly even
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: people who might be injured, because it's not above this
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: company to fire people when they're out on the injured list.
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: But if you're somebody who's not being utilized right now,
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: and there are a lot of people who would fall
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: under that category. If you're sitting around backstage and catering,
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: if they don't have anything for you, if you're laying
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: around on crates, I would be worried because that just
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: means you're expendable. Jeremy Rose looking forward to Roman versus
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: some fresh opponents on Raw. Jacob Gunther, penta Oba even
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: in La Night program again. Yeah boy, you guys really
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: have it in for La Night, don't you. You're putting
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: him in there with Roman reigns. He's gonna be in
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: there with Gunther soon. Let him savor the win over
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: I Show Speed. Let's just let him enjoy his moment
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: while he can. Larry Jester should Oba win a mid
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: title or main event gold first main event him winning
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: the Intercontinental title does nothing for him. Aaron with the
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: four ninety nine EO was getting all emotional like she
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: won't see Rhea again since she's on SmackDown. Meanwhile, she's
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: been showing up on SmackDown for weeks with no explanation.
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: It's all very stupid people go back and forth every
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: week without repercussions. If she was missing Ria that badly,
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: she could pop up on SmackDown and Nick Aldus would
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: probably just wave and say, hey, good to see you,
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: and go about doing whatever it is that he does.
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: I still have no idea what he does on that show.
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: On SmackDown most weeks, seventy five percent of the card
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: is not sad he's making matches during the show. I
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: don't know what this man does over the course of
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: a day. Fritz Burgeta with a nine ninety nine. I
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: rewatched the main event from last night, and I have
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: to say that that was a legacy defining match for
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: Punk and my second favorite Roman Reigns match, only behind
- 1:33:43Speaker 1: the forty one with Cody. Five stars. It's a great match.
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: William Rabb says Punk stayed on Raw after he was
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: feuding with Sina last year for the WWE title. I
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: think Fought two will do the same with Roman and
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: still be on SmackDown after this few Well, that would
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: be very stupid. I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: saying that would be very stupid. Aaron, who do you
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: think would be the heel with Cody and Punk. Are
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: you asking me who I think the fans would take
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: is the heel or who wwe would book is the heel.
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: I think the best way to approach that match would
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: be to just leave them alone exactly as they are now,
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: let the fans choose, and the fans I think would
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: choose Punk. To be honest, the more I think about it,
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: like if one was going to be the heel, I mean,
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: I could take it either way. Honestly, I think Heal
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: Punk would be fun, but so would Heal Cody when
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: the day eventually comes that he leans into it or turns. Yeah,
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: everybody loves to talk about Homeland or Cody. I think
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: either one is a heel would be a lot of fun.
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: But do I think that one of them will absolutely
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: be a heel? No? It would probably be more likely
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: Babyface against Babyface, but the fans would would pick sides
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: as they usually do. Bace Bears thank you for the
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: four to twenty Duff's VIDs. With a four ninety nine
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: What did the gardener say when she planted the wrong flowers?
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: Oopsie Daisy Fabian Garcia with a five wrestle Minia nine
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: two in Revolution twenty twenty five, the definition of main
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: event deciding opinion of a show entirely. One made an
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: okay show great the other one made a great show. Eh,
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: my god, was that Moxley and Copeland, what a fucking
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: terrible metch that was? Oh my god. I still have
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: people to this day trying to convince themselves that they're
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: right and I'm wrong when I say that that Wrestle
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: Minni at thirty six match at the Performance Center with
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: Edgen Orton was anything other than just boring shit. Still,
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: I have people trying to convince me I'm wrong. It's amazing.
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: Derek J speaks with a nine ninety nine. I would
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: not be so quick to assume Fatu is on Raw permanently.
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: In twenty twenty four Smackdowns, Randy Orton based Row's gunther
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: on a pl e, and after Randy lost, he went
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: right back to SmackDown. They have set a precedent for this.
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: Bas Beer says Roman's original theme is perfect. Otc Remix sucked. Yeah,
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: the OG theme is far superior. TGN four to twenty
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: for the four to twenty wrong FA two versus Rains
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: sounds hype. Aaron says, Couldzilla show up at Backlash? To
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: even the odds Now and Mister Wrestling with the four
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: ninety nine. If you were running WWE, which would you
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: choose a legit brand split for a one to two
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: week break after Mania to recharge the batteries. I would
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: take a short break. That's what I would do. It
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: might be bad for business for me, but as a fan,
- 1:37:49Speaker 1: I think that that's the option. I would choose. Nothing
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: wrong with a quick break. Seven hundred and forty two likes.
- 1:38:02Speaker 1: The goal was seven hundred, so we smashed the goal. Mactub.
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: How big of a drawing megastar was Flair? Flair was
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: not a megastar. I think he drew very well as
- 1:38:19Speaker 1: the traveling Champion in the eighties, but by no means
- 1:38:24Speaker 1: was he ever a megastar. Even he admits that that's
- 1:38:28Speaker 1: why he would always say Hogan was the best. Hogan
- 1:38:31Speaker 1: couldn't wrestle as good as Flair, but Flair knew like
- 1:38:36Speaker 1: Hogan was a much bigger box office attraction sold a
- 1:38:39Speaker 1: lot more tickets than he did. Alex says, there's two
- 1:38:44Speaker 1: pls and a Saturday Night's main event in May. Do
- 1:38:48Speaker 1: you think that's too much? I do. I didn't even
- 1:38:51Speaker 1: realize that was the case until you just mentioned it.
- 1:38:53Speaker 1: But that's true. We had backlash on May ninth, we
- 1:38:58Speaker 1: have or May eighth. May ninth. Saturday Night's main event
- 1:39:05Speaker 1: is the twenty third. It's the week before Clash in Italy,
- 1:39:11Speaker 1: which I think is on the thirty first, and we
- 1:39:15Speaker 1: have double or nothing on the twenty fourth. That's a lot.
- 1:39:26Speaker 1: The mact better overall performer Roman or Triple H. I mean,
- 1:39:31Speaker 1: it's all in the eye of the beholder. Neither one
- 1:39:35Speaker 1: of them are my favorite, so I'm not really married
- 1:39:39Speaker 1: to one over the other. But as far as like
- 1:39:42Speaker 1: the better overall performer, I would go probably Triple H.
- 1:39:51Speaker 1: Cameron Spencer. Royce Key should join the New Day and
- 1:39:54Speaker 1: be the powerhouse of the group like Biggie Langston. Wow,
- 1:39:58Speaker 1: he still has the Langston in there. This is going
- 1:40:00Speaker 1: to old school now, not even Big E. It's Big E.
- 1:40:04Speaker 1: Langston says. That would be dope. Are you down for that? No?
- 1:40:10Speaker 1: I am not. I don't like that idea at all.
- 1:40:14Speaker 1: I think it would be beneath Royce Keys. I think
- 1:40:16Speaker 1: Royce Keys is I think the potential that he has
- 1:40:20Speaker 1: is far beyond just throwing him into the New Day.
- 1:40:28Speaker 1: I just I'm sorry, I'm not a fan of that idea.
- 1:40:32Speaker 1: Aaron says, which WrestleMania was better this year or last year?
- 1:40:43Speaker 1: I have to go last year. Probably this was the
- 1:40:47Speaker 1: first time where WrestleMania really it was so over commercialized
- 1:40:52Speaker 1: this year at the expense of the actual matches in
- 1:40:57Speaker 1: a way that no WrestleMania before it was ever that
- 1:41:00Speaker 1: bad in terms in terms of that, it really did
- 1:41:05Speaker 1: feel like this was the first time they truly, as
- 1:41:08Speaker 1: far as WrestleMania goes, where they truly sold their soul.
- 1:41:14Speaker 1: It's like when Austin sold his soul to McMahon at
- 1:41:17Speaker 1: WrestleMania X seven. Uh. This was this was the year
- 1:41:20Speaker 1: where it kind of hit you right between the eyes
- 1:41:24Speaker 1: that t ko as far as WrestleMania goes, they officially
- 1:41:30Speaker 1: sold their soul. And in terms of the matches and
- 1:41:34Speaker 1: the stories at WrestleMania, they don't mean nothing anymore. They
- 1:41:40Speaker 1: don't mean a damn thing. That's sad. Navy says Lesner
- 1:41:47Speaker 1: should return wearing the salmon jacket. I can't even in
- 1:41:52Speaker 1: my head picture him wearing like a sport coat or
- 1:41:56Speaker 1: a suit. The Crazy Men eighty eight Royce Keys, Seamus
- 1:42:07Speaker 1: versus Sena Royce Keys Shamous versus sena Esquire title. What
- 1:42:18Speaker 1: what does that even mean? I'm trying to decode this.
- 1:42:21Speaker 1: I have no idea what the hidden message is in here.
- 1:42:27Speaker 1: Power Spying Games Top five l O l TNA moments. Dude,
- 1:42:32Speaker 1: we'll be here, We'll be here for days. I can't
- 1:42:35Speaker 1: answer that. We'll be here, We'll be I'll give you,
- 1:42:38Speaker 1: I'll give you the Probably the biggest one is Dixie
- 1:42:42Speaker 1: Carter talking shit about the head of their own television
- 1:42:45Speaker 1: network in an email. And I'm trying to remember if
- 1:42:49Speaker 1: she I think she actually copied them unknowingly on the email,
- 1:42:55Speaker 1: but they found out about it. I think they were
- 1:42:57Speaker 1: on the actual email chain, and not long after that,
- 1:43:02Speaker 1: I do believe they were gone from Spike TV. So
- 1:43:06Speaker 1: there may be no bigger LOLTNA moment than that supersedes
- 1:43:14Speaker 1: all of the other ones. EJ Slip. What do you
- 1:43:19Speaker 1: think of my MVPs by decade? Seventies, Race eighties, Flair nineties,
- 1:43:26Speaker 1: Brett two thousand's Angle, twenty ten's, Brian twenty twenties, Cody
- 1:43:35Speaker 1: Race in the seventies. That sounds like a documentary. Uh.
- 1:43:42Speaker 1: Harley Race as the MVP of the nineteen seventies, he'd
- 1:43:46Speaker 1: be up there for sure. I'm just I don't know.
- 1:43:49Speaker 1: I I don't know, man. I think of Bruno, I
- 1:43:56Speaker 1: think of Terry Funk. That wasn't my era anyway, So
- 1:44:02Speaker 1: I can't really say one way or the other. Eighties
- 1:44:07Speaker 1: eighties is Hogan or Flair. It really depends on the
- 1:44:10Speaker 1: kind of wrestling you grew up on. I think if
- 1:44:12Speaker 1: you grew up not watching WWF and you were more
- 1:44:17Speaker 1: into like mid Atlantic n WA, Florida Territorial Right Crocket Promotions,
- 1:44:26Speaker 1: Flair was the guy or Dusty. Some people might say Dusty.
- 1:44:31Speaker 1: If you were watching WWF, the answer was Hull Cogan
- 1:44:34Speaker 1: if you were watching both. It's really a matter of
- 1:44:37Speaker 1: personal taste. Like when you say MVP, what do you
- 1:44:42Speaker 1: mean by that in terms of overall popularity, in terms
- 1:44:46Speaker 1: of tickets sold, in terms of business you're generated, the
- 1:44:50Speaker 1: answer is Hull Cogan. It's pretty simple. In terms of
- 1:44:56Speaker 1: match output, probably Flair. Flair would be the guy in
- 1:45:03Speaker 1: the nineties, you know, I mean, I'm as big of
- 1:45:09Speaker 1: a Brett guy as you'll find. But again I go
- 1:45:12Speaker 1: back to, like, what's the criteria here? Look at the
- 1:45:18Speaker 1: decade that Hogan had in the nineties. He was down
- 1:45:21Speaker 1: from the peak of his popularity in the eighties, still
- 1:45:25Speaker 1: very popular, went to another promotion and that as part
- 1:45:29Speaker 1: of this nWo Angle went heel and got a whole
- 1:45:32Speaker 1: new lease on life and was a big part of
- 1:45:35Speaker 1: why that company became number one for a few years.
- 1:45:40Speaker 1: So there's an argument to be made. Hogan was eighties
- 1:45:42Speaker 1: and nineties. Some people might say Sean Michaels, he was
- 1:45:47Speaker 1: the wrestler of the nineties. Two thousands, he says, Angle, Yeah, yeah,
- 1:46:00Speaker 1: and it was between two different companies too. Twenty ten's
- 1:46:06Speaker 1: Brian Yeah. I mean, I probably wouldn't disagree on that,
- 1:46:12Speaker 1: but like I do wonder if Punk had stuck around,
- 1:46:16Speaker 1: you know, if he would have been the answer to
- 1:46:18Speaker 1: that question in twenty twenties. Cody, Cody or Roman to
- 1:46:29Speaker 1: one of those two, probably Roman, but it's I think
- 1:46:33Speaker 1: it's one of those two for sure. Aaron says SNA
- 1:46:40Speaker 1: for the two thousands in ring, Angle was two thousand. Yeah.
- 1:46:50Speaker 1: So again to the point that I was just trying
- 1:46:53Speaker 1: to make what's the criteria? Sena would be another good choice. Absolutely,
- 1:47:03Speaker 1: the crazy Man. Seamus beat Seine or rather quick upon
- 1:47:07Speaker 1: being on the main roster in shocking fashion, but protected
- 1:47:12Speaker 1: all involved. Keys can do the same against Cody and Ray. Okay,
- 1:47:16Speaker 1: well that makes more sense the way the super chat
- 1:47:19Speaker 1: was written. I'm like, I don't know what this means. Yeah,
- 1:47:25Speaker 1: I think Royce Key should get a big push on
- 1:47:27Speaker 1: some backdown just you know, make him a dominant force
- 1:47:30Speaker 1: on that show. I'm not saying you have to belt
- 1:47:33Speaker 1: him up right now, but you can keep him very
- 1:47:35Speaker 1: strong and I think he could be a key key
- 1:47:38Speaker 1: player on that brand. Absolutely. What did Flair lack to
- 1:47:44Speaker 1: be a megastar? He didn't have the big national push
- 1:47:47Speaker 1: that Hogan had, and he also did not have the
- 1:47:54Speaker 1: superhuman physique that I think was very appealing to the masses.
- 1:47:59Speaker 1: Hogan literally, I mean he looked like something as many
- 1:48:02Speaker 1: of those guys did, like Warrior. He looked like something
- 1:48:05Speaker 1: out of a comic book. The way those guys were
- 1:48:08Speaker 1: all gassed up. There's a reason why you look back
- 1:48:11Speaker 1: at that and people used the expression larger than life,
- 1:48:16Speaker 1: and Flair didn't have that. Flair had a very regular
- 1:48:20Speaker 1: with the white hair and everything. He looked like an
- 1:48:22Speaker 1: old man, so there was a certain physical look that
- 1:48:31Speaker 1: he didn't have that those guys like Hogan did, and also, frankly,
- 1:48:35Speaker 1: as charismatic as Flair was, Hogan had his own unique
- 1:48:39Speaker 1: charisma and it was a kind of charisma that Flair
- 1:48:43Speaker 1: didn't have. You know, he cut promos in his own way,
- 1:48:45Speaker 1: and he was very charismatic in his own way. But
- 1:48:49Speaker 1: just stuff like that, you know, he just wasn't He
- 1:48:51Speaker 1: wasn't that same guy that would not appeal to the
- 1:48:55Speaker 1: masses in the way that someone like Hogan and his
- 1:48:59Speaker 1: stick would. Alex says, can you see WWE waiting on
- 1:49:04Speaker 1: Orton retiring so they can induct the OBW class of
- 1:49:08Speaker 1: two thousand and two together to the Hall of Fame.
- 1:49:13Speaker 1: I don't think they would have put that much thought
- 1:49:15Speaker 1: into it, to be honest with you. I mean, that'd
- 1:49:19Speaker 1: be kind of cool if they all went in at
- 1:49:20Speaker 1: the same time. But I also don't think they would
- 1:49:22Speaker 1: want to put Orton and Sena in in the same
- 1:49:25Speaker 1: class because they're running out of big names to induct.
- 1:49:29Speaker 1: So when the time comes, Orton could headline a Hall
- 1:49:32Speaker 1: of Fame class by himself. Sena will headline a Hall
- 1:49:35Speaker 1: of Fame class by himself. Brock could potentially headline a
- 1:49:40Speaker 1: Hall of Fame class by himself. Why would you put
- 1:49:43Speaker 1: them all in together at the same time. I wouldn't
- 1:49:47Speaker 1: do that, Devin. If Bobby Heen and Jim Cornett and
- 1:49:54Speaker 1: Paul Hayman are the three greatest managers, who would be
- 1:49:58Speaker 1: number four? For one to make a mount rushmore, I'm
- 1:50:06Speaker 1: inclined to say Jimmy hart Man. Jimmy, it's not just
- 1:50:10Speaker 1: being a manager. Jimmy did so many different things. I mean,
- 1:50:13Speaker 1: he's I don't think he gets enough credit for his
- 1:50:16Speaker 1: musical contributions to WWE and w CW and as a manager,
- 1:50:23Speaker 1: even going back to his days in Memphis and then
- 1:50:26Speaker 1: working for Vince and then he worked in w CW.
- 1:50:29Speaker 1: Represented a lot of different people used to take bumps,
- 1:50:34Speaker 1: and I'm inclined to put Jimmy there. I mean, I know,
- 1:50:39Speaker 1: you know, Paul Bart, Percy Pringle, He's pretty high up
- 1:50:42Speaker 1: on the list. I was never like a big Gary
- 1:50:44Speaker 1: Hart guy, not that I don't like him or anything.
- 1:50:48Speaker 1: I just I didn't really get to see a lot
- 1:50:51Speaker 1: of him. It was sort of after the fact, so
- 1:50:55Speaker 1: I know, like him with Kabuki and him with like Muda,
- 1:51:00Speaker 1: I didn't see a lot of him. Like in World Class.
- 1:51:04Speaker 1: I put Jimmy harton that spot. All right, let's break
- 1:51:12Speaker 1: into be the booker here because we smashed the goal
- 1:51:17Speaker 1: and we get one round, so we got to try
- 1:51:19Speaker 1: to do this the right way. Hopefully we hit a
- 1:51:23Speaker 1: home run tonight. Let's find out, ladies and gentlemen, it
- 1:51:27Speaker 1: is now time to be the booker. Let's see if
- 1:51:33Speaker 1: we can make the magic happen tonight. We were in
- 1:51:36Speaker 1: a roll last week. We had like a bunch of
- 1:51:38Speaker 1: clean sweeps in a row. Hopefully we can replicate that.
- 1:51:48Speaker 1: So we're gonna kick things off here, tag team, be
- 1:51:50Speaker 1: the Booker, and we're gonna start with the Miss and
- 1:51:55Speaker 1: Damien Sandow. Miss Dow is kicking us off against the
- 1:52:07Speaker 1: team of Rob Van dam and Hook RVD and Hook
- 1:52:17Speaker 1: against Misdow. That's fine, not a marquee match or anything
- 1:52:25Speaker 1: like that, but two former WWE champions Hook and Damien Sandau.
- 1:52:33Speaker 1: When he was doing that gimmick was fairly entertaining. I'll
- 1:52:40Speaker 1: give it. I'll give it a bell. I'm feeling generous. Tonight.
- 1:52:49Speaker 1: We have bird Girl. There she is with her wings.
- 1:52:52Speaker 1: You know, I saw an image of Dragon Lee. He
- 1:52:55Speaker 1: had these big wings made for his entrance at WrestleMania,
- 1:53:00Speaker 1: and they didn't even air his entrance. Too many fucking
- 1:53:03Speaker 1: commercials on the show. They didn't have time for this
- 1:53:05Speaker 1: man's entrance. He probably God knows what he paid for him,
- 1:53:08Speaker 1: because they paid for their own gear, paid to have
- 1:53:11Speaker 1: these giant wings made, and then the only people that
- 1:53:15Speaker 1: saw them were in the building. Unbelievable. Lyra Valkyria is
- 1:53:25Speaker 1: going to step into the ring with Maurice. Oh, the
- 1:53:29Speaker 1: lovely Maurice. She was a dish, still is as former
- 1:53:41Speaker 1: Divas Champion Maurice by the way, Now our main event,
- 1:53:51Speaker 1: all the marbles on the line here in our closing match,
- 1:53:56Speaker 1: it is Tony Kahan's favorite son, the reigning ae W
- 1:54:02Speaker 1: Continental Champion and former aw World Champion and WWE World Champion,
- 1:54:11Speaker 1: John Moxley. Somebody's bleeding in this main event. That's my prediction.
- 1:54:18Speaker 1: Somebody will bleed. John Moxley against nineteen ninety six Shawn Michaels.
- 1:54:37Speaker 1: Interesting a little bit of fantasy warfare there, huh. John
- 1:54:40Speaker 1: Moxley against Shawn Michaels. You know Moxley is gonna want
- 1:54:45Speaker 1: him to do things in that match that Michaels is
- 1:54:46Speaker 1: gonna be like, I'm not fucking doing that. It's gonna
- 1:54:49Speaker 1: be like a Dean Ambrose and Brock Lasner WrestleMania all
- 1:54:52Speaker 1: over again. It's gonna have all these ideas. We're gonna
- 1:54:55Speaker 1: have tax We're gonna have barbed wire. Shawn's like no
- 1:55:00Speaker 1: or not? H yeah, hbk ain't bleeding in nineteen ninety six.
- 1:55:10Speaker 1: That ain't happening. But we got the sweep back to

- 1:55:24Speaker 1: I'm judging match quality and company value, not just popularity.
- 1:55:28Speaker 1: All had great matches, were world champions and defined their decade.
- 1:55:32Speaker 1: Hogan was very important to that first WrestleMania. He was
- 1:55:36Speaker 1: very important to WWE. I don't know man match quality.
- 1:55:46Speaker 1: I give match quality to Flair, and I'm not saying

- 1:55:55Speaker 1: think Hogan defined the eighties. I mean, come on and says,
- 1:56:00Speaker 1: who's doing Brock Lesner's Hall of Fame Hall of Fame speech?
- 1:56:04Speaker 1: His induction speech. Paul Haman, if Brock is alive, nobody
- 1:56:14Speaker 1: is accepting on his behalf other than Brock himself. Now
- 1:56:18Speaker 1: Brock may go up there and speak for two minutes.
- 1:56:22Speaker 1: Brock will do his own speech. The induction speech will
- 1:56:24Speaker 1: be Paul Hamen. EJ says, all Japan had the Four
- 1:56:31Speaker 1: Heavenly Kings in the nineties, I came up with the
- 1:56:34Speaker 1: new Japan Four Guardian Kings, Tanahashi, Okada, Nakamura, and Nito.
- 1:56:43Speaker 1: Do you agree? Yeah? I think that's fair. You know,
- 1:56:52Speaker 1: if if God, who is it that I'm trying to
- 1:56:58Speaker 1: think of. There's one of them that had left for
- 1:57:04Speaker 1: many years and then came back. Shabata, That's who it was. Yeah,
- 1:57:11Speaker 1: Shabata was the one who left. Had Shabata stuck around,
- 1:57:15Speaker 1: that might have been him. He might have been on
- 1:57:17Speaker 1: that list, but I know he went away for a while. Hey, Jason,
