- 0:00As part of Ferrari Fridays, William Ross from the Exotic Car Marketplace
- 0:04will be discussing all things Ferrari and interviewing people that live
- 0:07and breathe the Ferrari brand.
- 0:09Topics range from road cars to racing, drivers to owners, as well
- 0:13as auctions, private sales, and trends in the collector market.
- 0:25Hello everyone and welcome back to the Ferrari Marketplace channel.
- 0:30Yes, it's been a while.
- 0:31Yes, I apologize.
- 0:33Yes, I know I said I was going to have a lot more stuff coming, but you know what?
- 0:36I got crazy busy.
- 0:37So, now that the temperatures are cooling, I'm going to I have
- 0:41some free time, so to speak.
- 0:43I guess that's kind of maybe not so true, but now that I'm going to be
- 0:47indoors a lot more, uh, I have the time and we can start nailing out some
- 0:51more of these podcasts to keep you guys entertained throughout the winter.
- 0:54Because as we all know, especially up here in the north, northeast, northwest,
- 0:58it gets cold, it gets snowy, and you really can't take your cars out unless
- 1:03you're a maniac, got all wheel drive, or you just want to have some fun.
- 1:06But why not?
- 1:07You know what?
- 1:07It's a car.
- 1:08Car's a car, right?
- 1:09So, but anyways, really want to welcome everyone back.
- 1:12I appreciate you guys listening.
- 1:13We appreciate all the support we're getting.
- 1:16Big shout out to the motoring podcast network.
- 1:19Big shout out to the exotic car marketplace.
- 1:21Big shout out to the garage style magazine.
- 1:23Really big shout out to Mr.
- 1:25Beaty and Slot Mods if you haven't checked out Slot Mods check out the
- 1:28video just did on it We dropped it.
- 1:30It's on the channel on the Garage 65 channel and also to Hot Shoe Studios
- 1:35to Tony Thank you very much my man.
- 1:38But anyways, onward and upward Today's episode we are talking about the one the
- 1:45only the successor The one in the lineage of many, many cars that Ferrari's put out.
- 1:51The 288 GTO, F40, F50, then we went into the Enzo, then the
- 1:58LaFerrari, and now what do we have?
- 2:00Thrrrrrrr Double!
- 2:02The F 80.
- 2:03Yes.
- 2:04Ferrari dropped their newest and latest hypercar today, the Ferrari F
- 2:0980, keeping in line with kind of how all the names go, which I really like.
- 2:13You know, they could have came up with some goofy name, like La
- 2:16Ferrari, Ferrari, the Ferrari, which it kind of grows on you.
- 2:20But anyways, I, I like that going kind of at 40.
- 2:23F50.
- 2:25Bam.
- 2:25Let's go with F80.
- 2:26Yeah, you got a couple in there in between, but I like the continuation
- 2:29and keeping that lineage going.
- 2:31I really, I kind of dig it.
- 2:32So, anyways, first impressions, me personally, love it.
- 2:37I think the thing is awesome.
- 2:39It, uh, doesn't, you know, I guess if you look a lot of these hyper cars
- 2:43that come out, you know, they all have the same look to them, the same
- 2:47kind of style, everything like that.
- 2:49Now, of course, you have to understand, as everyone knows, a lot of these, the design
- 2:53aspect of things is aerodynamic driven.
- 2:56So you kind of have to all of a sudden reverse engineer, so to speak
- 3:00about your aerodynamics, what do you want to achieve performance wise?
- 3:03So then what do you do?
- 3:04Okay, here's what we want to achieve.
- 3:06Okay.
- 3:06What do we need to do?
- 3:07Drag all that kind of stuff.
- 3:08So, but what I really, really dig and you can see it as soon as you,
- 3:11you know, when you start looking at it, get those first images.
- 3:15It's not, I want to say you're spitting, you know, image replica of it, but you
- 3:18can see the heavy, heavy, heavy influence.
- 3:21The Le Mans winning 499 car has on it.
- 3:25It's got that it's, it's low, it's why the cockpit's a little bit more
- 3:29narrow than the body, you know, it's not going out to the edges.
- 3:32It's got a really, really cool look to it.
- 3:34I really dig it.
- 3:35It's definitely going to stand out when wherever at the lucky
- 3:39bastards that get to buy one.
- 3:41Uh, hopefully they drive them and take them out.
- 3:43Uh, but you know, it's just got a really.
- 3:46Really muscular mean look to it when you're staring at it.
- 3:49You know, it's uh, the silhouette and everything like that It's
- 3:52just got that very 499 esque look to it, which is really cool.
- 3:56Now the one thing you will see in the front They kind of pull it
- 3:59off of the new 12 cylinder If I pronounce that right, probably not.
- 4:03But anyways, they got that dark color, the band going across to replicate
- 4:08from the Daytona back in the day, which had just kind of a tidbit.
- 4:12Everyone else, it was never officially called the Daytona from the factory.
- 4:17The writers and media nicknamed that and dubbed it the Daytona after
- 4:21obviously the 24 hours Daytona and it competing it and saw it actually,
- 4:25that thing came out of the factory.
- 4:26It was just a three 65.
- 4:27So, but.
- 4:29Media dubbed it so but anyways you look at the front and you'll see
- 4:31they're going across and for those of you that don't know that going across
- 4:36what happened was or what it is is the European cars that were built or when
- 4:40they built the 365 that actually the designer they put as a plexiglass it
- 4:45went all the way across it was clear and actually put these really cool like
- 4:48little lines and everything like that.
- 4:50You check it out because you know, the headlights were reset,
- 4:53recessed in to the front there.
- 4:56So the plexiglass went all the way across the front.
- 4:58So that's where they look.
- 4:59But the problem was is here in the, uh, old lucky USA we are because the morons
- 5:04in, uh, the, uh, in Washington DC decided, Oh no, you know, your headlights are too
- 5:10low, whatnot, because your headlights had to be a certain height or like that.
- 5:13So.
- 5:14The 365 and that stuff here is they were pop ups.
- 5:17So once they popped up, they met the minimum requirement for height wise.
- 5:20So to kind of get that same look, you know, they would paint that, that color
- 5:24or whatnot to kind of give it that look.
- 5:26So hence that's why.
- 5:27But anyways, back to the F80.
- 5:29So you look at the front.
- 5:30You know, it's really cool and obviously there's a lot of the active aero going on.
- 5:33There's a lot of that, you know, going, but you know, it's, it's
- 5:36not, it doesn't jump out at you.
- 5:38It doesn't have like all these little flap things and all this stuff like that.
- 5:40It's all kind of tucked underneath the nose and that.
- 5:42So which is really cool.
- 5:43And a lot of stuff's underneath.
- 5:45So it's not really kind of overpowering the car having all these little, Doodads
- 5:49and gadgets and whatnot on the front and all these little lines breaking
- 5:53up the whole, I guess you'd say, view of it because you got all these little
- 5:56flaps popping up and into that stuff, you know, a la, like, if you look at
- 6:00Pagani's and whatnot like that, you know, they got all these flaps that pop up
- 6:03and everything like that to help control it, uh, aerodynamics and that, but the
- 6:06problem is it really kind of messes up the lines, but that's just me personally.
- 6:10So, now going around, like I said, the, you know, the, uh, The
- 6:13greenhouse you got the cockpit.
- 6:15It's really cool.
- 6:16How it's kind of shrunk into the car I guess you don't speak so you got shoulders
- 6:21to it going all the way down So it's not like you have smooth on the side It's
- 6:24really neat and then when you open up the doors, you'll see the tub to it Which is
- 6:27really really cool get ahead of myself though because that's we're getting in
- 6:30the interior But the only one drawback I have with this when you get into the back
- 6:35gas and looking at it It looks like a C8.
- 6:39Yes, it does.
- 6:40It's one of my first impressions.
- 6:41I saw it go.
- 6:42Wow, that looks very C8 ish Um, I think there could have been something they could
- 6:47have done with the lights maybe Uh, the taillights something along those lines
- 6:52kind of get it away, but it's got a very very far Chevrolet C8 esque look to it.
- 6:59Now that's just me I don't know.
- 7:01And it's kind of one of those things.
- 7:01Now I mentioned it whatnot.
- 7:02People can't, can't unsee it.
- 7:04That's kind of like that new Bugatti turbulent lawn, whatever it is.
- 7:08If you look at it, put it up next to a pig snout, take a picture of a pig in a
- 7:12snout, put up the new Bugatti next to it.
- 7:14You cannot unsee that.
- 7:16It looks like a pig snout.
- 7:17So, but anyways, so it's very CA desk.
- 7:19So, but it still looks damn sexy.
- 7:21And again, that back wing is active arrow.
- 7:24So it's going to either, you know, for breaking, it's going to be an airbrake.
- 7:29It's going to tilt down.
- 7:30It's going to level out for top speed, everything like that and go around.
- 7:33So it's really cool.
- 7:35It's neat tricks.
- 7:36This is obviously the.
- 7:37The, uh, generation or genre or whatever you wanna call it, the uh, what the, what
- 7:42we're in now with all the electronics and everything on these cars, you know,
- 7:47and it just, you know what, it just kind of scares me down the road though.
- 7:50I'll be dead.
- 7:51So, um, but people that are gonna have to deal with this, you know, you
- 7:56look at your, your pre-war car, your brass air cars, you stuff all the
- 7:59way up to the, you know, eighties, even into the nineties, you know.
- 8:02You can still work on them yourself technically, because it was very
- 8:05basically your straightforward car.
- 8:07You know, you started getting into having, you know, your on board
- 8:10computer to do diagnostics and that, but it was super, super basic.
- 8:13So you could still work on the car yourself.
- 8:16Get in there with the wrench and ratchet and all that.
- 8:17These cars this day and age, starting in the 2000s and whatnot, forget
- 8:20about it, because you'll screw it up.
- 8:21And, uh, obviously, that's almost done, like, yeah, you're gonna
- 8:26get for performance and whatnot.
- 8:27Yeah, it's supposed to, you know, improve things, but it goes along the
- 8:31lines where these, Manufacturers want to control every aspect of these cars,
- 8:36you know, not just selling it, but then after sale maintenance, everything
- 8:39like that, beyond warranty and stuff, because you have some of these guys,
- 8:43well, the warranty will get voided if you don't take it to an authorized dealer.
- 8:48Which is insane.
- 8:49I mean, that's just, I don't know.
- 8:51I just don't understand that, you know?
- 8:53And so, but anyway, so look at the car back to the F80.
- 8:56So exterior wise, everything like that.
- 8:59It's stunning.
- 9:00I really like it.
- 9:01I'm sure there's going to be other people that hate it, but that's all it is because
- 9:03everyone's entitled to their own opinion.
- 9:05But I said, like I said, I really liked the fact is it's separating
- 9:10itself away from what some of these other ones have come out with.
- 9:12Now the AMG one, Came out so to speak recently, but IE that means it was, you
- 9:17know, customer deliveries, but we've been seeing that car since what, 2017.
- 9:21Um, you know, McLaren just came out with the W1, but they kind
- 9:27of mismatched in there the Senna.
- 9:30And the 750 and whatnot.
- 9:33So you can see a lot of influences there.
- 9:35So, but McLaren, technologically great car performance, everything like that.
- 9:39But, you know, there's a reason they're nicknamed McCarrens.
- 9:43So, um, but you know, so that's what I really love about the Ferrari.
- 9:46It's kind of separating itself away from it.
- 9:50Big jump, big step away from LaFerrari itself too, which is great to see.
- 9:55Now, supposedly Porsche is coming out with also another one here somewhere.
- 9:58It's kind of, you know, um, I really haven't heard much about it.
- 10:02Maybe you guys have, but supposedly Porsche also is coming out.
- 10:06Now it's interesting to see what Lamborghini is going to do.
- 10:09Cause now obviously Lamborghini has got their Rovalto.
- 10:12It's awesome car.
- 10:14Um, to having some gremlin issues, a little, you know, stuff like that,
- 10:17growing pains to be in a new car.
- 10:18But, with them entering into the WEC next year, you almost gotta wonder, are they
- 10:26gonna drop some sort of hyper, hyper car?
- 10:30On the public, you know, something to go online to what they have that we see.
- 10:34So it'd be interesting to see that would be really cool to see Lamborghini
- 10:37jump into that hyper car game.
- 10:39Um, you know, for what they build, because, you know, they like to
- 10:43really, I would say, break the mold, but push the boundaries, you know, and
- 10:47get very bold and daring with their designs or they, which is fantastic.
- 10:50Um, you know, but here's the thing, like with the Ferrari, every like,
- 10:55you know, these things, they're all going to smaller motors and
- 10:57turbos and everything like that.
- 10:58So, Let's get into the F80 and it's mechanicals.
- 11:02So we got going on there.
- 11:05Yes, sadly it is a v6 So, no V12, no V10, no V8.
- 11:11Yes, it is a twin turbo V6.
- 11:14Now, the one cool thing about this is, it's basically the same motor that is
- 11:20in the 296 that just came out, which is an impressive, impressive car.
- 11:25Obviously, you know, it's still half a million dollars, but what
- 11:27you get power and performance wise out of that V6 is unbelievable.
- 11:30So, it's, obviously, it's running the twin turbos, but
- 11:33the twin turbos are electronic.
- 11:36So, they have electric power to spool them up quicker.
- 11:41So basically it, I'm not going to say a hundred percent.
- 11:44It completely eliminates turbo lag, but it's pretty dang close that you really
- 11:49even, you know, normal person driving it.
- 11:52They won't even know that there's any lag or what's in that.
- 11:54Now you can get your guys out there that used to driving performance cars,
- 11:56race cars, they might feel that little twinge in their foot and whatnot, but
- 12:00you know, they race cars and they, they, every little slight thing, You
- 12:04know, they're bred to know that, but no person driving this, you know, and
- 12:10the, uh, the twat that can afford it to buy it, you know, the, you know, uh,
- 12:16he won't know because it's clueless.
- 12:19So, you know, he might drive the thing 500 feet, you know, just
- 12:23to say, look at me, I own this.
- 12:24He'll drive it from where it was, comes off to the, uh, transporter
- 12:27under the show field, or even if that may not even drive at 10 feet.
- 12:31So.
- 12:33That's sad, but it is what it is.
- 12:34It's where we live in cars, 3 million plus.
- 12:37So obviously you gotta have very, very deep pockets for this.
- 12:39People that buy this car obviously had to be selected by Ferrari.
- 12:43So individuals that are selected to buy this car obviously have
- 12:48many, many, many other Ferraris.
- 12:50I'll give you a point.
- 12:51In fact, Mr.
- 12:52David Lee, love that guy.
- 12:53He's awesome.
- 12:54If you ever get a chance to cross paths with him, go up and talk to him.
- 12:57Introduce yourself.
- 12:58David's a phenomenal guy.
- 13:00Super, super nice.
- 13:01And he will just tell you, he's a super, super guy, not pretentious whatsoever.
- 13:06Super nice, willing to talk to you about everything and anything Ferrari.
- 13:09But again, he did a cool video because the people that got
- 13:12selected, they got sent a key for it.
- 13:15And what, so he did a video on it.
- 13:18Which is really cool, so I guess that's, and I don't know if they knew they were
- 13:21getting it, I have no idea how that part of it works, uh, you know, I'm not in
- 13:25that boat, I don't have that kind of money, um, but it's um, it was really
- 13:30cool to see, but anyways, so if those select few, they're gonna be able to
- 13:33get this car, hopefully they, they take him out, they drive him, I know Mr.
- 13:37David Lee will.
- 13:38Uh, and get it out there in front of the public and let people see it
- 13:41and enjoy, you know, just enjoy it.
- 13:44The cool thing would be if they went the route like Mr.
- 13:46Hamilton does up there with his cars.
- 13:48You know, that was the coolest thing I've ever seen.
- 13:51When in Columbus at triple F collections, the event, the
- 13:56event, or whatever I call it, Mr.
- 13:58Hamilton had his cars there and he lets people sit in them.
- 14:02The lines are, I mean, in his Bugattis, everything's Bugattis doors open.
- 14:06Just get in the line.
- 14:07You get in there.
- 14:07You can sit in there for, I don't know if he had a time down there.
- 14:10If you like similar for 30 seconds or whatnot, it didn't seem like
- 14:13it, but Hey, people get in there.
- 14:14They could take selfies, photos, whatnot, everything like
- 14:17that, which is awesome to see.
- 14:18Cause again, it's a car.
- 14:20Let people enjoy it too as well.
- 14:21You know, you're in blast and that's what I think.
- 14:23Uh, Mr.
- 14:23Hamilton's a fantastic guy.
- 14:25And again, him and Tommy, super, super nice guys.
- 14:28Don't ever be afraid to go up and talk to those guys.
- 14:30They will talk to you.
- 14:31Hey, you know, they're not going to be pretentious about it.
- 14:33So if you haven't listened to this podcast there, uh, Mr.
- 14:36Hamilton, they love to come up and chat with you some more.
- 14:39Personal just to kind of get to know you, uh, jump on the podcast.
- 14:42We'll have a chat.
- 14:43So, but if you have to get this, we'll see if you can, uh,
- 14:46maybe we can set something up.
- 14:47You're just in Chicago.
- 14:48I'm here in Cleveland.
- 14:49You're nothing but a four and a half, five hour drive away.
- 14:51So, but anyways, back to the F80.
- 14:54So we're getting into the cards, twin turbo V6, three electric motors.
- 14:59The uh, V6 itself is putting out la, just a little under 900
- 15:04horsepower, like 884 horsepower.
- 15:07Um, roughly in that neighborhood, 800, between 880 and 885.
- 15:11That's what they're stating.
- 15:12Now, what's the interesting thing is, because being the fact it's the same
- 15:15motors in the 296, it's pumping out almost 237 more horsepower than the 296.
- 15:21Same pretty much motor and that, but they, you know, worked their magic
- 15:24and they're able to squeeze it out.
- 15:26Could you imagine if they were tweaking that and that 296 and pumping out
- 15:29that kind of horsepower on that?
- 15:31Which, my guess, if you got someone that knows how to operate, you know, uh, ECU
- 15:35management, everything like that, and have them plug in and do it, I'm sure
- 15:38you could probably figure it out pretty quickly and how to jump it up there.
- 15:41My guess it would void your warranty.
- 15:43Uh, and Ferrari's got it!
- 15:45Outstanding warranty on their new cars.
- 15:48I mean, it's unbelievable what you get on that.
- 15:50I want to say I think is now it's seven years unlimited mileage
- 15:54because they know these people aren't gonna go nuts on mileage.
- 15:56Um, and bumper to bumper, everything like that.
- 15:59I mean, loaner cars, the whole nine yards.
- 16:00So kudos to Ferrari for standing behind their product
- 16:03in regards to stuff like that.
- 16:04I mean, that's unbelievable.
- 16:06So, but anyways, so twin turbo V six.
- 16:09So you got the, you got the V6, turbo spooling up, going and thing, you
- 16:12got about 885 horsepower roughly.
- 16:15So then you jump in with your three motors.
- 16:17You got two in the front and you got one in the rear, in the rear axle.
- 16:19Your two front ones and that stuff puts your total output
- 16:23to about 1, 200 horsepower.
- 16:26To about 2.
- 16:271 seconds, 0 to 60.
- 16:29It's roughly in that range.
- 16:30Two seconds.
- 16:31So, um, you know, it's, it's rather impressive, I must say, but what helps
- 16:38is all wheel drive because the electric motor is in the front, motor in the
- 16:41back, so you got your grip, you're just going at it, going at it, going at it.
- 16:45Now with the electric motors on the front of that, you do have torque vectoring,
- 16:48so in regards to that stuff, you don't have to have rear wheel steering on this
- 16:51because it's Plenty going, you know what you have there And it wouldn't be even
- 16:56actually necessary No So and it saves a nice bunch of weight because you're not
- 17:00putting steering mechanisms as enough on the back wheels So it's really cool to
- 17:04see that so those things are powering up gets going now the one thing this does not
- 17:09have Like some of the other ones came out.
- 17:11There is no like full EV mode.
- 17:14There isn't somewhere where you could drive safe Four miles,
- 17:17eight miles in an electric only.
- 17:19Nope, doesn't have it, which I think is kind of cool.
- 17:21So some people might frown upon that because you got these guys.
- 17:25I mean, it's like a neat party trick though.
- 17:27You know, it's, you know, as they say, you know, you can start it
- 17:31up and go in your electric boat.
- 17:33So you're not waking up your neighbors or whatnot.
- 17:35Some along those lines.
- 17:37But it is what it is, you know, hey just have at it just go for it So I
- 17:43think that was kind of interesting.
- 17:44They said F that we're not gonna do that It's just hey
- 17:47you get going and right at it.
- 17:49I said I saw this real cool Short on YouTube the other day.
- 17:54It was a guy.
- 17:54He had a Lamborghini It looked like he was a doctor because he does
- 17:57scrubs but someone had left a note I don't know if it was a Murcielago
- 18:02or Diablo, uh, what he had, or maybe it was, I think it was an Aventador.
- 18:05Uh, I don't know what kind of exhaust he had on it, but
- 18:07obviously it was pretty loud.
- 18:09He's in a parking garage by and far.
- 18:10Someone left a note that says, you know, to whom it may, to the person
- 18:12or individual owns the Lamborghini.
- 18:14You know, you're leaving early and your car is very loud, blah, blah, blah.
- 18:17So it showed him actually pushing the car.
- 18:21out to a spot so then it wasn't loud and whatnot.
- 18:24It was great.
- 18:24It was like, that's cool, man.
- 18:25It's being real considerate.
- 18:27It's like, you know, uh, appreciate that much respect for him.
- 18:30But anyways, back to the car.
- 18:31So we're getting to the powertrain got to all that.
- 18:34So you're putting down impressive power numbers.
- 18:36So let's go into the cockpit.
- 18:37Now they have, they have a designated original design thoughts was
- 18:42we're going to do a single senior.
- 18:43It was like, no, it just really doesn't fit what for, you know, that ain't it.
- 18:46So they call it plus one.
- 18:50Which, which is a little baffling.
- 18:51It's, um, 1.
- 18:525, whatever it is.
- 18:54Look up how they state it.
- 18:55It's kind of humorous.
- 18:57Basically, it is, I mean, there's a passenger seat, but what it is, it's
- 18:59staggered just a smidge behind the driver's seat, uh, to kind of give
- 19:03you that feel like they're not right next to you and everything like that.
- 19:06But what that does though is, you can actually get things closer
- 19:10to each other so you can kind of shrink that cockpit a little bit.
- 19:14Uh, width wise, because you kind of get things tucked in a little bit tighter.
- 19:18Now, the one cool thing is Also, I say one thing, the one cool, another cool thing
- 19:24is the fact is all these ones you see, they got the screen, they got it on the
- 19:28Pro Sangway, they had it, you know, all these other ones that started in the FF
- 19:31and that stuff, you know, so the patch you can't see is going to change the screen.
- 19:35Now there's a configurator on there, and if I understood the configurator,
- 19:38you can delete that and not have that if you don't want that.
- 19:41If you don't want your patch, you're dealing with that stuff or dicking
- 19:44around and touching, you know, which I personally do, I'd say get rid of it.
- 19:47They don't need to see what's going on.
- 19:49Tough shit.
- 19:50So, um, But anyways, it's, it's neat that you can have that option.
- 19:54So another thing is too is it's two different colored seats.
- 19:57Now, again, you want to go and spend and waste hours and hours and
- 20:02hours going to the Friar website.
- 20:04They have an F80 configurator up.
- 20:06And you can just go nuts.
- 20:07I got on there.
- 20:09I was trying to pick this, you know, learn everything about it and
- 20:12get all the notes and everything.
- 20:14And I think I was on the configurator for about two and a half hours,
- 20:18just doing different colors, doing everything like that.
- 20:21There's a lot of options.
- 20:21It's really cool.
- 20:22I mean, you can't go too nuts in regards to like, you know, carbon
- 20:25fiber add ons and everything like that.
- 20:27There are some, but.
- 20:28There's so many different color combinations.
- 20:30Color combinations you can do with the seat, the seatbelts and stitching.
- 20:33Um, I mean, it's just, it's really cool.
- 20:35All your exterior color choices and everything like that.
- 20:38You know, it's, it's awesome.
- 20:40I tell you, I mean, even if you're not the biggest Ferrari fan, go on there
- 20:44and do it because it's a lot of fun.
- 20:45There's a lot of different configurations you can do.
- 20:47You can get nuts with it.
- 20:48It's really cool.
- 20:49The one thing I really liked, Also was for the wheels.
- 20:53You can go full carbon fiber if you want.
- 20:55Uh, but you can keep the lip like silver.
- 20:59But you can also get just basically standard, you know, aluminum wheels.
- 21:03I believe they're aluminum.
- 21:04Uh, on there so they're silver.
- 21:06Go back to how it used to be.
- 21:08You know, this trend with black wheels got, I don't know how long ago it started.
- 21:12It was, you know, some years ago.
- 21:14Yeah.
- 21:14I don't know if it was, you know, making it look meaner or menacing,
- 21:17but I think it also had more to do with hide and break dust.
- 21:20Uh, but it was a trend and all of a sudden it went all the way down to, you
- 21:24know, SUVs and whatnot, you order it from the factory and buy it, it's got black
- 21:27wheels, but it's really cool to see that they're going back to having silver.
- 21:31Silver wheels.
- 21:32Now, I wouldn't necessarily go all the way back to doing what they used to
- 21:35do in the 80s and 90s, doing chrome.
- 21:37Yeah, leave that back then.
- 21:38Leave it alone.
- 21:39Leave it back to history.
- 21:41Silver, though, looks cool.
- 21:42It gives really that cool contrast to it.
- 21:45Uh, it was nice to see, you know, Matt Armstrong.
- 21:47Uh, I believe it was on his, uh, Nissan, his GTR he did, he kept them
- 21:51silver and it just, it's very, I don't want to say retro, but it's, it
- 21:55gives it a really kind of different look compared to what everyone's kind
- 21:59of used to with the black wheels.
- 22:00So it's cool to see that, uh, but then you get into like seat colors,
- 22:05y'all can tear all this stuff.
- 22:06I'm telling you.
- 22:07Go on the website and just start messing around with the Farquhar configurator.
- 22:12Now, the other, funny thing I thought with the configurators when you get done,
- 22:17there's the option to send it to a dealer.
- 22:20To your local dealer.
- 22:22Now, mind you, all these cars are sold.
- 22:23Mind you, these things are 3 million plus dollars.
- 22:26Uh, but you had the option, when you get done, to save it, send it to a dealer.
- 22:34I'm curious to see what happens.
- 22:35I set mine to a dealer.
- 22:36I want to see if I get a phone call.
- 22:38Cause I mean here, it's kind of one of those scenarios that, okay, you
- 22:41have something that's screwed around.
- 22:42I mean, is it going to waste a lot of these guys time salesman?
- 22:45Oh, I'm sure.
- 22:45I'm sure they're going to get super annoyed cause they're going to just get
- 22:48these jokers just doing, you know, 50, 60 different configurations a day and
- 22:53just sending each one to the dealer.
- 22:55You know, so, but you know what, it's fun.
- 22:58And it's not like the dealer's got to like do any work and produce a car.
- 23:01Cause they're all sold.
- 23:02So what's the difference?
- 23:03Let people have some fun, but I'm curious to see what they do.
- 23:06Do they take to the point where they take down the information?
- 23:08Hey, this, they could maybe buy, you know, a new SF 90 or something, which,
- 23:12you know, people are just not buying, um, and resales gone in the tank.
- 23:18Um, so I don't know, this is kind of, kind of fun little tidbit, but like I said,
- 23:22definitely check out the configurator.
- 23:24You can spend, you can waste a lot of your day and be careful
- 23:28because if you start some point in the morning and you're at work.
- 23:32Before you know it's going to be time to go home and you got absolutely
- 23:34nothing done But you did configure about 50 different types of ferrari f80s.
- 23:38You could buy option and color wise So was it productive in my mind?
- 23:42Yes your boss probably not so much So but anyways, so getting back to the car So
- 23:48again, you know, my impression, I love it.
- 23:51I think it's fantastic.
- 23:52I can't wait to see what out on the road driving kind of get some impressions.
- 23:56Uh, cool to see what some of these guys do on it.
- 23:59Uh, go on YouTube.
- 24:01Top gear does an awesome walk around of, obviously their time is limited.
- 24:04Uh, Tim, Mr.
- 24:06AKA shmi 150.
- 24:08He did another one too, cause he's really in deep with the Ferrari.
- 24:11Cause as anyone that watches this channel, subscribe to his channel, um, he's got
- 24:15a Uh, so he's kind of getting in there.
- 24:18Good graces.
- 24:19So they probably offered him one, but I don't know if his, uh, his channel has
- 24:24gotten to the point where he can afford a 3 million car, but he's getting up there.
- 24:27I mean, he bought himself that new SF 90.
- 24:29Uh, he's bought a couple other cars that are not cheap.
- 24:33So, and the one cool thing you also know about Tim, Tim's a very, very
- 24:36savvy, smart guy, financially wise.
- 24:39So, you know, You're smart with your money.
- 24:42There's a lot of good things you can do, make your money work for you.
- 24:45So there's a lot of cool things you could do.
- 24:46So anyways, precious of the F80 love it.
- 24:50Can't wait to see it out on the road.
- 24:52Definitely go on the configurator, go check it out, have some fun
- 24:55with it, really dive deep into it.
- 24:58There's a lot of cool little nuances to it.
- 25:00You know, again, you know, they didn't go totally nuts in regards to electronics
- 25:04and most stuff, but they did enough to it.
- 25:06Um, so it, it's a, I want to say, I'm not going to say perfect followup to
- 25:12the LaFerrari, but I will say as a successor to the LaFerrari, they hit it.
- 25:19They did a heck of a job with it.
- 25:20It's outstanding.
- 25:21Kudos, Ferrari.
- 25:23It's outstanding.
- 25:24So, alright guys, I appreciate you listening.
