- 1:57Charles: Don't worry about it, Charles.
- 1:58Charles: I'm so excited.
- 1:59Charles: I'm so excited for tonight's show, guys.
- 2:02Charles: I wrote that two seconds before we started this show,
- 2:06Charles: that intro.
- 2:06Charles: I was like, wait, shit, we got an intro to do.
- 2:09Nora: I'm the real Nora, Charles.
- 2:12Charles: Yeah, you are t he real Nora.
- 2:12Nora: I'm the real Nora, Charles.
- 2:14Charles: Are you sure?
- 2:16Charles: Are you sure?
- 2:17Nora: I'm the real Nora, Charles.
- 2:18Charles: My favorite one was the boring button.
- 2:21Nora: Boring, boring, boring, boring, boring.
- 2:24Nora: Chris, looking good tonight?
- 2:26Nora: Charles, not so much.
- 2:29Nora: (laughing)
- 2:32Nora: She didn't have quite the sense of humor that I did.
- 2:34Charles: Oh no, she did.
- 2:35Nora: Although I feel like, you know,
- 2:37Nora: I might have to hire her again.
- 2:39Charles: I feel like-
- 2:42Nora: Birds, birds fuck dinosaurs while we're at it.
- 2:44Nora: (laughing)
- 2:45Nora: That wasn't me.
- 2:47Nora: That, so we do differ on a few points.
- 2:49Nora: Or was it?
- 2:50Nora: (laughing)
- 2:51Nora: We do differ on a few points, but.
- 2:54Nora: (laughing)
- 2:55Charles: Ah, I love the idea of a Nore AI,
- 2:59Charles: however the execution was,
- 3:02Charles: we could have a few extra props, I feel.
- 3:05Nora: Maybe a couple more hours to prepare.
- 3:07Charles: Right, right, exactly.
- 3:08Charles: Yeah, you know what, a few extra hours to prepare,
- 3:11Charles: I think would have been good.
- 3:13Chris: Yeah, so I mean, let's talk about that real quick,
- 3:15Chris: because we did have some wackiness last week.
- 3:19Chris: The idea of Nore AI came together very, very quickly.
- 3:22Chris: And it started with me trying to figure out
- 3:25Chris: if it were possible to get a mannequin on short notice.
- 3:30Chris: That ended up not happening.
- 3:32Chris: I put out a distressed call on Facebook
- 3:35Chris: and no one responded until after
- 3:37Chris: we were already in the show prep.
- 3:38Chris: So my next idea was a blow-up doll.
- 3:43Chris: And Charles, when I suggested that to you,
- 3:46Chris: what was your feeling?
- 3:49Charles: I first said, "We should check in with Dora
- 3:52Charles: to make sure that it's fine with Dora
- 3:55Charles: if we make her look like a blow up doll.
- 3:59Nora: Here's the thing, it was the cheapest blow up doll
- 4:01Nora: that you could find, so it wasn't my face on her, right?
- 4:04Nora: Hey Chris!
- 4:05Nora: I think that made a difference.
- 4:07Chris: Do you wanna talk about how much you spent
- 4:09Chris: on that blow up doll?
- 4:10Chris: It was $70.
- 4:12Nora: What?
- 4:13Nora: (laughing)
- 4:14Nora: We need a refund.
- 4:15Nora: She didn't have my face, so I think that made it better.
- 4:18Chris: Yeah, it was between Sexy Nurse,
- 4:21Chris: which is what we went with,
- 4:22Chris: and some other one that looked like way, way different
- 4:27Chris: and was double the price.
- 4:28Chris: So it wasn't much of a choice at all.
- 4:30Charles: Ugh, ugh, I'm so sorry for your wallet.
- 4:33Charles: Now we have to use the blow-up doll for other bits.
- 4:38Chris: Yeah, we talked about it after the show
- 4:40Chris: and the idea was, well, we have to use this
- 4:44Chris: at least more than once to get our money out of it.
- 4:46Chris: So, don't know where or when or how
- 4:49Chris: or who they'll be replacing,
- 4:51Chris: but we will see Dorei again in some other form.
- 4:55Chris: It'll be Charles AI next week.
- 4:57Mandy: I'm just disturbed at the whole,
- 5:00Mandy: we need to get our use out of a blow up doll
- 5:04Mandy: to get our money's worth, if you know what I mean.
- 5:07Charles: You know what, you're not wrong.
- 5:10Charles: It feels gross.
- 5:11Charles: It feels a little wrong.
- 5:15Charles: However, I think that's the whole point.
- 5:18Mandy: Yeah, you don't want to walk out of there
- 5:20Mandy: feeling good about yourself, you wanna feel a little.
- 5:23Charles: Hi everybody, welcome to Vibe Check.

- 5:46Charles: it is Chris and Mandy.
- 5:48Charles: Hello, hello, hello.

- 5:52Chris: which we're so, so glad to have her.
- 5:55Chris: Mandy, how are you, how you been?
- 5:57Mandy: I'm good, I went to see Amigo the Devil on Saturday,
- 6:00Mandy: it was great, and shout out to Mission Ballroom
- 6:03Mandy: for their handicap accessible help.
- 6:06Mandy: Yeah, they were amazing.

- 6:38Mandy: Yes, that was exactly it.

- 7:06Charles: Commit to the, do we still wanna, okay.
- 7:09Charles: Do we wanna do a more well-known

- 7:14Charles: or this Ho got roaches in my crib, or in her crib?
- 7:18Charles: Or do we-- - You got what in the what?
- 7:21Charles: This Ho has some roaches in her crib,
- 7:26Charles: I think is the title of the other book.
- 7:29Charles: Okay.
- 7:30Charles: Do we go with that book, which is more well known,
- 7:32Charles: we can find it a little bit easier,
- 7:33Charles: or do we go with Pastors Eat Pussy 2?
- 7:37Mandy: I just worry I'm not gonna be able to keep up with,
- 7:40Mandy: you know, not having read the first one in the series.
- 7:47Nora: Well, I don't think it's two as in the second book.
- 7:50Nora: Oh, it means as well, también.

- 7:59Nora: Well, I don't wanna read it anyway,

- 17:42Nora: I don't like that show.
- 17:43Chris: I caught, I've seen two episodes of Very Important People.
- 17:46Chris: I, other than a couple of clips that in isolation
- 17:51Chris: are extremely funny, it just feels like an SNL sketch
- 17:55Chris: that goes on three times longer than it should.
- 17:58Charles: Right, that's such a good point.
- 18:01Charles: It's funny for like a split second
- 18:03Charles: and then it's just like, all right.
- 18:05Chris: Even Lynn was like, we don't need to watch
- 18:07Chris: that show anymore because I see all the best bits
- 18:10Chris: on Instagram and the rest isn't worth watching.
- 18:12Nora: Is it improv?
- 18:13Nora: I think the Lisa Gilroy episodes
- 18:15Nora: are the ones that are worth it.
- 18:16Chris: So the idea, forgive me if I'm wrong,
- 18:19Chris: or correct me if I'm wrong,
- 18:20Chris: but like the host, Vic McKellis, is interviewing someone
- 18:26Chris: and then they hire an actor/comedian
- 18:28Chris: to dress up in a really elaborate creature costume
- 18:32Chris: and create a character based on the costume that they have.
- 18:35Chris: So improv?
- 18:36Chris: So yeah, so it's basically-
- 18:37Chris: It's a full improv show.
- 18:38Chris: It's a full improv show
- 18:40Chris: where neither one of them are in on it.
- 18:43Nora: Yeah.
- 18:43Chris: And it's, there were funny bits,
- 18:46Chris: but you just have to get through so much to get there.
- 18:50Nora: It depends on the comedian, it really does.
- 18:52Mandy: I just don't have the type of neurodivergency
- 18:55Mandy: to let me enjoy improv.
- 18:57Nora: Fair, that's fair.
- 18:59Nora: I feel like the dropout TV game shows though
- 19:02Nora: would still be a good one for you
- 19:03Nora: because they're very funny.
- 19:06Chris: Game Changer's definitely enjoyable,

- 20:54Nora: and all of a sudden the Rockies get the bases loaded.

- 21:00Nora: and he recently, last week,

- 21:04Nora: like he's all we got for the Rockies right now. So he hits, they get three runs in and it's on an

- 33:30Charles: You laughed at Type Shit Guy?
- 33:32Charles: Type Shit?
- 33:34Charles: Well that means we have to do an encore.
- 33:35Chris: I don't recall, I, yeah I don't,
- 33:38Chris: I'm acting like I'm in a deposition, I don't recall.
- 33:40Charles: We now have to do an encore of Type Shit Guy
- 33:43Charles: with the second video.
- 33:47Video: T-Y-P-E-S-H-I-T
- 33:53Video: Bitch
- 33:54Video: T-Y-P-E-S-H-I-T
- 34:00Video: I'm on some tight shit
- 34:03Video: In my garage
- 34:07Charles: The garage part was kind of funny
- 34:09Charles: Chris, I'm going to fix my microphone
- 34:14Nora: T-Y-B-E-S-H-I-T.
- 34:18Nora: Mandy, what are your thoughts on tight chick guy?
- 34:21Nora: Bitch!
- 34:22Nora: (laughing)
- 34:23Nora: No thank you.
- 34:24Nora: (laughing)
- 34:26Nora: Cash, Relame Cash, you don't like Relame Cash?
- 34:29Charles: Okay, okay.
- 34:30Charles: We love Relame Cash.
- 34:31Charles: Okay, my mic's good now.
- 34:32Charles: Yeah.
- 34:33Charles: Yeah, I think.
- 34:33Charles: If you stop touching it, maybe.
- 34:35Charles: Hold on, yeah, we're good, we're good, we're good.
- 34:37Charles: So, okay, I did mix it up a little bit
- 34:40Charles: with a video that you'll like, I promise.
- 34:45Mandy: Uh-huh, uh-huh.
- 34:46Charles: I don't believe you.
- 34:48Charles: This is dog humor.
- 34:51Video: I'll like it.
- 34:52Video: This is dog humor.
- 34:53Video: Okay.
- 34:54Video: Watch your bitch.
- 34:54Video: The bitch gets restless, calm the bitch down.
- 34:57Video: Sometimes a bitch will come earlier,
- 34:59Video: sometimes a few days later.
- 35:00Video: So a fat bitch doesn't have good muscle contraction.
- 35:03Video: By now you should know your bitch is pregnant.
- 35:05Video: The bitch should be examined to make sure
- 35:07Video: that all the nipples are okay.
- 35:10Video: What helps aid the bitch?
- 35:12Video: Scissoring and milk the bitch.
- 35:14Video: Determine what is normal for your bitch.
- 35:16Video: You should exercise the bitch.
- 35:18Video: And these bitches often will need help.
- 35:20Video: I do put my bitches on raspberry tea.
- 35:23Video: Because the bitch is just very, very nervous.
- 35:25Video: A little bit of whiskey even sometimes helps.
- 35:28Video: Why is it important that a bitch not be overweight?
- 35:32Video: Overweight bitches.
- 35:33Video: Don't be a little bitch.
- 35:35Video: These bitches.
- 35:36Mandy: Oh no, I hate myself for laughing at this.
- 35:41Mandy: Damn!
- 35:42Mandy: I hate it, I hate myself.
- 35:44Chris: That was legitimately great.
- 35:47Chris: That's a lot of bitches.
- 35:48Charles: I have been sitting on that one for a while.
- 35:50Charles: That's a good one.
- 35:52Charles: And I was like, I think this is the week
- 35:54Charles: where I bring the powerhouse.
- 35:56Chris: Yep.
- 35:56Chris: Charles, you're holding out on it.
- 35:58Charles: No, I'm trying to spread it out a little bit further.
- 36:01Charles: Yeah.
- 36:02Charles: Okay, so I did now that we have the ones that you'll like yeah, it's one for you one for us
- 36:09Charles: Oh, is that the way it goes?
- 36:11Charles: This is a new weird guy that I have found
- 36:15Charles: Okay, him and his best friend. You'll know which one's the weird one pretty pretty quickly
- 36:21Charles: they run a
- 36:23Charles: Nursing home.
- 36:25Video: home isn't the paperwork and it isn't the packing it's that
- 36:30Video: moment when you have to walk out the door and leave your parent in a new environment.
- 36:35Video: Before Royal Destiny we were foster parents. We know exactly how it feels when someone moves to a new place.
- 36:41Video: We know how scary and how less safe it is. And that is exactly why we do our parenting with a focus on comfort.
- 36:49Video: We promised ourselves a moving day here would always feel like a warm, personal, outcome.
- 36:54Nora: He's wearing a shirt!
- 36:58Video: Do you think- uuuuh
- 37:02Video: That's one of those units
- 37:04Nora: He's wearing a unit
- 37:08Video: This kind of unit
- 37:10Video: This kind of unit
- 37:12Video: Yeah, the hair in the middle
- 37:13Video: Yeah, he's wearing- oh my gosh
- 37:20Video: That's a new thing!
- 37:22Video: into your loved ones world.
- 37:25Video: When there is a moment of confusion,
- 37:26Video: or a tough afternoon,
- 37:28Video: we meet them right where they are.
- 37:30Video: With patience, validation,
- 37:32Nora: and a positive.
- 37:34Nora: That's a toupee baby, that's a toupee!
- 37:38Charles: That's a unit!
- 37:39Charles: I have a theory.
- 37:40Charles: This guy only got into
- 37:43Charles: like nursing homes
- 37:44Charles: after a rat crawled into his hair
- 37:46Charles: and started pulling on him.
- 37:48Nora: That's a toupee baby, that's a unit!
- 37:51Nora: Holy shit. - Ben's wrecking a unit on his dog.
- 37:54Charles: I love them so much.
- 37:56Charles: I found them and I was like, is this a Trixie Mattel skit?
- 37:58Charles: No! - No, these are real human beings.
- 38:01Nora: I've seen a couple of their ads and it is,
- 38:03Nora: he does not look better in scrubs, I can tell you that.
- 38:06Charles: I've got one in scrubs, let's play the clip.
- 38:10Video: And they always feel seen.
- 38:12Video: We feel royal destiny. - Next one.
- 38:14Video: We save something.
- 38:16Video: (laughing)
- 38:17Video: It doesn't fit in him!
- 38:19Video: He doesn't fit in!
- 38:21Nora: He's wearing like three sizes too small!
- 38:24Nora: He doesn't look more official in scrubs.
- 38:26Charles: I can tell you that.
- 38:28Charles: I think, you know what?
- 38:30Charles: I mean...
- 38:31Charles: Plugs? Not just that.
- 38:33Video: I think he takes steroids.
- 38:36Video: And he's got turkey teeth.
- 38:38Video: We are creating a safe, beautiful home
- 38:40Video: for people living with Alzheimer's
- 38:42Video: and dementia.
- 38:43Nora: These two are cousins.
- 38:44Video: I think they're partners.
- 38:47Video: They're dating, I think they're together.
- 38:49Video: Oh my God, that facial hair.
- 38:51Video: Living services will focus entirely
- 38:53Video: He's got turkey teeth.
- 38:54Video: On dignity and independence.
- 38:56Video: He's had a facelift, he gets a lot of Botox on his brows.
- 39:00Video: Hell yeah.
- 39:01Mandy: But babes, there's no shame in like going up a size.
- 39:04Video: Right.
- 39:06Mandy: He doesn't look more official in the scrubs, no.
- 39:09Video: Open kitchen, dining and living rooms.
- 39:10Mandy: Like it just looks uncomfortable, Mike.
- 39:12Mandy: Bless your heart, let's get you into clothes that fit.
- 39:15Video: strictly kept in our home at just 10 residents.
- 39:18Video: It will guarantee a one to three caregiver ratio.
- 39:22Video: This is in Arizona.
- 39:24Mandy: Florida?
- 39:25Charles: It feels Florida, I'm not sure.
- 39:27Mandy: Is he wearing children's sizes?
- 39:30Charles: (laughing)
- 39:32Mandy: But it makes his arms look really big.
- 39:34Mandy: I mean, sure.
- 39:37Mandy: You know what else would?
- 39:38Mandy: Using those tiny little plastic hands.
- 39:41Mandy: (laughing)
- 39:41Video: Right here in the home that they know.
- 39:44Video: with caregivers they already trust,
- 39:46Video: all under the guidance of our DNP clinical-
- 39:49Charles: Okay, I'm gonna pause it,
- 39:51Video: and I think we're done with the video.
- 39:52Charles: We also want to give you a total peace of mind.
- 39:54Charles: Did you guys catch what their business model is?
- 39:57Charles: No. - No.
- 39:58Charles: No, you guys didn't catch this at all?
- 40:00Nora: Uh-uh. - Come back to me.
- 40:01Charles: I wanna look you guys square in the eye.
- 40:03Nora: Yeah, what are they-
- 40:04Charles: They are inviting 10 people into their home.
- 40:09Charles: That's their senior care facility is their own house,
- 40:13Charles: And they are capping it at 10 people who can live with them
- 40:16Charles: and that they will take care of inside of their house.
- 40:20Nora: And they'll have one other person helping them.
- 40:22Nora: No.
- 40:24Nora: That's weird.
- 40:26Mandy: I don't know.
- 40:27Mandy: I don't like any of my family members enough
- 40:29Mandy: to send them to there.
- 40:31Nora: (laughing)
- 40:35Charles: That is a...
- 40:37Charles: Like you like them too much or?
- 40:39Mandy: No, no, they don't even deserve that.
- 40:42Mandy: Oh shit.
- 40:43Mandy: (laughing)
- 40:44Nora: Okay, all right.
- 40:45Nora: You don't want the gunkles to take care of?
- 40:48Nora: No, that's too nice for them.
- 40:49Chris: Wait, I wanna hear about their pricing.
- 40:52Nora: (laughing)
- 40:52Video: We wait for our beautiful bright rooms.
- 40:55Video: There will be no care level surcharges
- 40:58Video: and no hidden fees for incontinence.
- 41:00Video: (laughing)
- 41:00Video: It covers everything from diet session meals.
- 41:03Video: You know, we've all been there folks.
- 41:04Video: Memory programming, music and physical therapy.
- 41:08Video: I just would hope that there's no charges
- 41:10Mandy: for incontinence? My God, where would my grandma be?
- 41:13Video: Gracefully ensuring our residents...
- 41:15Mandy: Like, I need the legality of this.
- 41:17Mandy: Like...
- 41:18Video: Specialized support right here at home.
- 41:22Mandy: How is it licensed?
- 41:23Mandy: What matters most to your family
- 41:26Video: as you look for future care?
- 41:27Video: Let us know in the comments below.
- 41:30Mandy: 'Cause usually there are like housing laws, right?
- 41:32Mandy: According to how many people who are unrelated
- 41:34Mandy: can live in one house.
- 41:35Charles: -...to a private visit to see if our access...
- 41:37Charles: Okay, we can pause it at this point
- 41:39Charles: and call it, holy shit, holy shit.
- 41:44Charles: I am so glad that you find these people
- 41:47Charles: as interesting as I do.
- 41:48Nora: I just kinda wanna know how they got to this point.
- 41:51Nora: Like why did they decide to open this house?
- 41:54Charles: You know what, Chris?
- 41:56Charles: This is their loud speaker.
- 41:59Charles: (laughing)
- 42:01Nora: Maybe Charles, one day.
- 42:02Charles: I respect that.
- 42:04Charles: I respect the hustle.
- 42:05Charles: You know, you find yourself working
- 42:07Charles: at a senior care facility yourself and you realize,
- 42:10Charles: "Hey, you know what?
- 42:12Charles: They don't have the six stations that they should have."
- 42:18Charles: Right. - "They should have."
- 42:19Charles: True. - And that's the-
- 42:22Charles: we've all been there. - Exactly.
- 42:23Charles: Chris and I have been there. - Yeah, exactly.
- 42:25Nora: Mandy, maybe one day in 20 years,
- 42:28Nora: we'll look at each other and be like,
- 42:29Nora: "Dang, we really should open a senior living house."
- 42:33Mandy: I'm already preparing by buying all my clothes
- 42:36Mandy: in three sizes too small.
- 42:38Mandy: (laughing)
- 42:41Chris: Mandy plans ahead.
- 42:42Mandy: Yeah, I'm stocking up on my roids.
- 42:45Mandy: Love it.
- 42:45Charles: Okay, and then before we get to this next one of mine,
- 42:50Charles: I don't understand your guys' hate for this guy.
- 42:55Charles: It should be clear, Charles.
- 42:56Nora: Don't get it.
- 42:57Charles: I don't understand.
- 42:59Charles: I don't, I don't.
- 43:01Nora: The fact that he's Australian
- 43:02Nora: makes him like very endearing to me.
- 43:04Charles: Right.
- 43:05Nora: So we're giving passes based on like
- 43:07Nora: where somebody is like from?
- 43:08Nora: Yeah.
- 43:09Nora: I don't know, the fact that he puts on a New York accent
- 43:11Nora: is silly and endearing to me.
- 43:13Chris: Australia was formed as a nation of criminals.
- 43:16Chris: Criminals.
- 43:16Chris: That's where you wanna start from?
- 43:18Mandy: Penal colony.
- 43:21Mandy: And you're blaming the children of these criminals
- 43:23Charles: for their parents' sins, how dare you?
- 43:26Mandy: What are you doing?
- 43:28Mandy: Penal colony.
- 43:31Charles: Dare.
- 43:32Charles: I was waiting for it to come back to me
- 43:35Charles: I do it.
- 43:37Charles: So this is the catchphrase guy.
- 43:39Charles: (laughing)
- 43:41Charles: Yeah, hold on, we'll play it.
- 43:42Charles: Everything I do is wrong.
- 43:44Charles: (laughing)
- 43:45Nora: That's not the catchphrase guy.
- 43:47Video: I'm the guy that makes those popular catchphrases.
- 43:50Video: Here's some catchphrases you can use on the daily.
- 43:52Video: In IRL, mind my squirrels.
- 43:55Video: This decision is pigeons.
- 43:58Video: I'm fresh out of fruit, sweet tooth.
- 44:00Video: Face it, you're bicep.
- 44:03Chris: It's just fucking nonsense words.
- 44:05Mandy: You made it! - So, Lin in the comments
- 44:09Mandy: says that Catrix guy sounds like he's having a stroke
- 44:12Mandy: and doing word salad, yes.
- 44:15Chris: Yeah, stroke combined with Tourette's, rest in peace.
- 44:18Video: Yeah. - That's your tragic magic.
- 44:20Video: Sounds like a budget trumpet.
- 44:22Charles: (laughing)
- 44:23Charles: What the fuck does that mean?
- 44:24Charles: Okay, should we play this out?
- 44:26Video: What is a budget trumpet? - Watch the Rush paint brush.
- 44:29Video: You know what they say, an IRL log, each analog.
- 44:33Video: Everything I do is wrong.
- 44:35Video: That's a good looking Putin.
- 44:37Video: It's a twerking circus.
- 44:39Video: Don't text me with your toaster.
- 44:42Video: I like a
- 44:44Video: What?
- 44:46Charles: I'm sorry.
- 44:48Video: I get the "don't text me with your toaster" one.
- 44:50Chris: Use these catchphrases as much as you like in IIRL.
- 44:53Chris: I will use them as much as I like, and that amount is zero.
- 44:57Chris: [laughter]
- 44:58Video: Which stands for "in IRL."
- 45:00Video: and it's okay, 'cause I'm just a regular guy.
- 45:10Mandy: Keep doing it.
- 45:11Mandy: What the hell is that?
- 45:13Mandy: I don't understand any of it.
- 45:20Charles: 'Cause we're just a regular guy.
- 45:22Mandy: 'Cause I'm just a regular guy.
- 45:23Mandy: I'm not saying I want something awful to happen to him,
- 45:26Mandy: but like.
- 45:27Charles: Don't text me from your toaster.
- 45:29Charles: I'm the dumbest guy in the world.
- 45:31Charles: This guy is brilliant.
- 45:32Charles: Don't text me from your toaster.
- 45:34Charles: We live in a world that is IOT.
- 45:37Charles: Are you guys familiar with the concept of IOT?
- 45:39Nora: Internet of Things.
- 45:40Charles: The Internet of Things.
- 45:42Charles: Everything has Bluetooth, everything has Wi-Fi,
- 45:46Charles: and even now your toaster.
- 45:49Charles: So don't you go be texting me from your toaster.
- 45:52Nora: Yeah.
- 45:53Nora: You get it?
- 45:53Nora: You heard.
- 45:54Nora: You get it?
- 45:54Nora: 'Cause I'm just a regular guy.
- 45:58Mandy: Look, I love that you two have something
- 46:00Mandy: that you enjoy so much.
- 46:01Mandy: I do love that for you.
- 46:03Mandy: Please don't make me watch.
- 46:06Mandy: It feels gross.
- 46:07Mandy: Okay.
- 46:08Nora: I think that 9/11 was an inside job.
- 46:11Nora: And I do have something quite interesting
- 46:14Nora: that I think you will also like besides-
- 46:16Nora: That comment.
- 46:16Nora: Shut up, Charles.
- 46:18Nora: Exactly.
- 46:19Nora: I found this on Instagram Reels
- 46:22Nora: and it is called Nordic Walking.
- 46:24Nora: And I just need-
- 46:26Charles: Okay, before, can I guess?
- 46:29Nora: What do you think?
- 46:30Charles: What the walking is?
- 46:31Nora: What is it?
- 46:32Charles: Is it a dance?
- 46:33Nora: Not really.
- 46:34Charles: Not really a dance.
- 46:35Charles: It's just them walking. - Shut up, Charles.
- 46:36Nora: Yeah, let's watch it.
- 46:43Charles: Oh, this is it, yes.
- 46:45Charles: (bell dings)
- 46:51Mandy: Oh, come on, find the beat, ladies.
- 46:52Charles: Oh my God.
- 46:53Charles: Hold on.
- 47:00Nora: Okay, but they, watch these corners that they're gonna do.
- 47:10Nora: Okay, but the music's back.
- 47:11Nora: One of them walks ahead and the other one walks back.
- 47:16Nora: It's getting outrageous.
- 47:19Nora: Okay, ready?
- 47:20Nora: Oh, look at that corner turn.
- 47:34Charles: There was multiple people in cheerleading outfits for this fuck-ass walking
- 47:41Mandy: You're not even doing it on the beat. No, they aren't. Oh, here's the dance
- 47:47Charles: Can we can we just I have got something to say I'm gonna wait until we're done
- 47:55Charles: I will let this play out. I feel like this is
- 47:56Video: Okay, we're gonna go see the cheerleaders again.
- 47:58Nora: Oh, those ladies are excited.
- 48:02Nora: Why are you doing cheerleaders?
- 48:04Nora: I think those are other contestants.
- 48:07Charles: I don't know.
- 48:08Nora: Are they cheerleaders for Nordic Walking?
- 48:11Nora: Ooh, they turned the corner to...
- 48:13Nora: Yep.
- 48:16Mandy: This is just...
- 48:17Mandy: Were they like, "We don't have enough talent to dance or rhythm"?
- 48:21Nora: I watched this for far too long the first time.
- 48:26Nora: And I don't know if they're actually good at it.
- 48:29Mandy: Yeah, I don't think they are.
- 48:32Nora: Is synchronicity the point?
- 48:34Nora: Right, I think it probably is in this part.
- 48:37Nora: This is not good.
- 48:39Mandy: Oh God, get it together.
- 48:41Mandy: Oh no.
- 48:44Nora: That part was not good.
- 48:45Mandy: That was bad.
- 48:47Mandy: But the first part.
- 48:47Mandy: (horses whinny)
- 48:52Mandy: You know, I'm sorry you're so white.
- 48:55Mandy: So that's Mordek walking.
- 48:57Mandy: (horses whinny)
- 48:59Nora: So intense, whoa!
- 49:01Nora: They did so good!
- 49:02Nora: Oh my God!
- 49:04Nora: It's like dressage for humans.
- 49:06Mandy: Yeah, yeah.
- 49:07Mandy: (horses whinny)
- 49:07Mandy: Except I think the horses have a little more rhythm
- 49:10Mandy: to them and a little more understanding of musicality.
- 49:15Nora: Yeah, fancier footwork.
- 49:16Mandy: Yeah, I like that video.
- 49:19Charles: This is white culture.
- 49:21Mandy: It is, it is.
- 49:22Charles: This is, like when we look at, be like,
- 49:24Charles: oh yeah, this is what, you know, white people have.
- 49:29Mandy: It's Morris dancing for the Nordic people.
- 49:32Mandy: Have you watched Morris dancing?
- 49:33Mandy: That's fascinating.
- 49:34Nora: Yeah, it is.
- 49:36Nora: I'll bring a video in next week
- 49:38Nora: 'cause I don't think you know what Morris dancing is.
- 49:41Charles: No, I don't.
- 49:41Nora: Okay. - Yeah.
- 49:43Nora: So we'll bring some more videos in
- 49:44Nora: 'cause that one, you have to have videos to explain it.
- 49:48Nora: Otherwise, it just sounds like nonsense.
- 49:50Nora: Even with videos explaining it, it does seem like nonsense.
- 49:54Charles: We should also learn some of the weird dances
- 49:57Charles: that they've got too.
- 49:58Charles: Like the Nordic dances. - I'm okay with that.
- 49:59Charles: Like Håkon, have you seen Håkon?
- 50:01Charles: Just like kicking dances.
- 50:02Nora: I could learn that.
- 50:03Charles: Yeah. - I'm down.
- 50:04Nora: Okay, I have two more videos.
- 50:06Nora: First, I have some advice for anybody who's traveling
- 50:09Nora: and might find themselves in a certain situation.
- 50:11Nora: We're just gonna play this one next.
- 50:15Charles: I would suggest hitting the splits here, but you don't have to get it perfectly just a
- 50:19Charles: little bit here.
- 50:20Charles: Oh boy.
- 50:20Charles: And it gets it down to the knee.
- 50:22Charles: And this is where you use the red cup that's in your sleeve.
- 50:24Charles: You're going to utilize it.
- 50:25Chris: You're going to grab it out and then using the folks we've all been there.
- 50:29Chris: Haven't we?
- 50:31Video: You're going to hit it off your leg.
- 50:37Nora: I like an absurdist bit.
- 50:39Charles: That is the most Nora shit I've seen in a while.
- 50:43Mandy: Nora, I will take your absurdist crap over that catchphrase guy 100 times over.
- 50:48Mandy: I like absurdist shit.
- 50:50Nora: Any day.
- 50:50Nora: Yep.
- 50:51Nora: Alright, now we have one more and this is referencing last week.
- 50:54Nora: I'm like the vet.
- 50:56Nora: Yeah, but this is, we talked about this last week.
- 50:58Mandy: Look, we all know you're gonna win the marble league, so just, you know, get over it.
- 51:02Mandy: You're gonna have something to gloat over in two seconds.
- 51:05Charles: We don't even know.
- 51:06Charles: It's a- Oh, we know.
- 51:08Charles: Everything I do is wrong.
- 51:12Video: Thank you, me.
- 51:12Video: Bread cutting morning, everybody.
- 51:14Video: And welcome to the one and only episode
- 51:17Video: of the German Bread Cutter.
- 51:20Mandy: I don't watch it, but I do.
- 51:21Video: Exactly.
- 51:21Video: The slice you will see today is going to be terrible.
- 51:24Video: So you can skip the video now.
- 51:27Mandy: Oh, bless his heart.
- 51:28Video: But I have to show you,
- 51:30Video: because I'm not a bad slice hider.
- 51:34Video: The knife was in a very wrong position
- 51:37Video: and I don't know why I didn't see it.
- 51:41Video: Oh no.
- 51:42Mandy: Should we have a competition on bread slicing in here?
- 51:46Chris: You have to be strong today.
- 51:47Mandy: I kind of like that.
- 51:48Chris: We have 11, nine.
- 51:49Chris: I don't hate that idea.
- 51:50Chris: Oh no.
- 51:51Chris: Look how deep eight.
- 51:52Charles: Oh.
- 51:53Charles: Oh.
- 51:54Charles: Oh no.
- 51:55Video: Nine versus 13.
- 51:57Charles: Oh.
- 51:58Charles: Oh.
- 51:59Mandy: I think.
- 52:00Video: Such a great season.
- 52:03Video: And such a slow ending.
- 52:05Mandy: I love the charts, the little graphs.
- 52:08Mandy: (laughs)
- 52:08Charles: I'm sorry.
- 52:09Charles: He is apologizing.
- 52:12Charles: I have failed you. I have disgraced everyone. I have failed my German family. I'm really
- 52:19Nora: glad you guys liked the German bread cutter last week. Well it was so close. And he's
- 52:27Nora: getting really a lot better. He had a really good one after this where he was back within
- 52:32Nora: his.71 max deviation of the total and he did really well starting out his next bread.
- 52:41Nora: So he's back on point, but that one was a little brutal,
- 52:45Nora: so I thought I would share.
- 52:47Nora: Not every German bread cutter has a good bread cutting day,
- 52:50Nora: so it's okay.
- 52:51Charles: We've all been there.
- 52:52Nora: Exactly.
- 52:53Charles: So, Mandy, to answer your question,
- 52:55Charles: I would fail immediately.
- 52:57Charles: My bread slices are so fuck ass.
- 53:01Charles: It's like, I cut like, so like diagonally,
- 53:05Charles: and then it cuts back in, and it's all over the place.
- 53:07Mandy: Mine's stirred out really, really well,
- 53:10Mandy: and then it gets right to the end and my ADHD kicks in
- 53:12Mandy: and I can't focus enough and it just goes warrn.
- 53:14Chris: Yeah, for whatever reason,
- 53:16Chris: like slicing bread is difficult.
- 53:18Chris: Slicing bagels is practically impossible.
- 53:22Chris: Oh my God.
- 53:23Chris: Like I've never like felt so inadequate as a human being
- 53:27Chris: when I believe I'm starting to slice down
- 53:30Chris: in like a total 90 degree angle
- 53:32Chris: and all of a sudden it's like this somehow.
- 53:34Chris: It's terrible.
- 53:35Charles: I'm so sorry for your loss.
- 53:36Charles: Maybe you should practice cutting bread.
- 53:37Charles: Tell us more about how you feel inadequate.
- 53:39Charles: Practice cutting bread.
- 53:41Charles: Bitch.
- 53:42Charles: (laughing)
- 53:43Charles: I may be gay, but I'm not gay AI, at least not yet.
- 53:48Charles: (laughing)
- 53:50Charles: Boring.
- 53:52Charles: All right, so Chris, I've got some music
- 53:54Charles: playing on my computer.
- 53:55Chris: Well actually, we've got a,
- 53:57Chris: for our sponsor spot this week,
- 53:59Chris: we've just got kind of a short video
- 54:01Chris: to introduce you to a new show
- 54:03Chris: that we have recently launched here on Loudspeaker,
- 54:06Chris: so take a look.
- 54:07Sarah Monares (video): I'm Sarah Moneriz, the host of the Courage to Reconnect podcast.
- 54:12Sarah Monares (video): Many of us have learned to disconnect from ourselves in order to stay connected to others.
- 54:18Sarah Monares (video): On the Courage to Reconnect, we explore the patterns that keep us stuck and how to find
- 54:23Sarah Monares (video): our way back to ourselves, our relationships, and the brave lives we want to create.
- 54:30Sarah Monares (video): Tune in live on Tuesdays at 12 p.m. Mountain Time and 7 p.m. Western European Time on loudspeaker.org,
- 54:39Sarah Monares (video): the Loudspeaker mobile app, and YouTube.
- 54:43Sarah Monares (video): Or catch new episodes every Wednesday on your favorite podcast app.
- 54:49Sarah Monares (video): Join me for real conversations about healing, relationships, and most of all, reconnection.
- 54:57Sarah Monares (video): See you there.
- 54:59Sarah Monares (video): (gentle music)
- 55:07Chris: We're not all just crazy goofs and laughs, folks.
- 55:10Chris: Sometimes we make serious things.
- 55:12Chris: And "The Courage to Reconnect" is a brand new show
- 55:16Chris: that we're doing, which we're excited to be working
- 55:19Chris: with our friend, Sarah Menares, again.
- 55:21Chris: We previously produced a show with her
- 55:23Chris: called "The We Podcast,"
- 55:25Chris: which was specifically women-focused,
- 55:27Chris: but the courage to reconnect is for everyone.
- 55:30Chris: And this is our first international co-production now
- 55:33Chris: between us here in Colorado
- 55:36Chris: and Sarah Moneris' team in Portugal.
- 55:39Chris: So we're worldwide, folks.
- 55:43Nora: That is really cool.
- 55:45Charles: Hell yeah.
- 55:46Nora: I also wanted to note,
- 55:47Nora: I've been listening to Loudspeaker One
- 55:49Nora: over the last week, and holy cow,
- 55:51Nora: I have been screenshotting all the music
- 55:54Nora: that I wanna listen to. - On the app?
- 55:55Nora: Yeah, on the app.
- 55:56Nora: Yeah, on the app that you now know that, yeah.
- 55:58Nora: Yeah, on the app that I downloaded
- 55:59Nora: that I didn't know about until two weeks ago.
- 56:02Nora: But it's great, I highly recommend it.
- 56:04Nora: Really good indie music, really good variety of music
- 56:08Nora: that doesn't get too, don't get tired of it.
- 56:11Nora: So, been really enjoying that.
- 56:12Chris: Yeah, folks, download the Loudspeaker Radio app.
- 56:15Chris: So in addition to us being on YouTube,
- 56:17Chris: we are also, we have six different streaming radio stations
- 56:21Chris: all playing commercial-free music and talk shows
- 56:24Chris: and all kinds of fun stuff.
- 56:26Chris: It's all available for free. No commercials. No ads. No subscription except for maybe this one
- 56:32Chris: Download the loudspeaker app today. Well, maybe tomorrow because it is down right now. The app is not down
- 56:49Mandy: The poor actor is furiously type a type of typing back here
- 56:54Chris: Well, that's right. Yeah, I can see why that would work. So
- 56:58Chris: Yeah, folks sometimes things break and sometimes they happen in the middle of a live show
- 57:04Charles: Stop me if you've heard this story before moments before we went live the the website went down
- 57:09Charles: Yeah
- 57:10Chris: But we are still here
- 57:11Chris: the radio stations are going if you happen to listen through things like tune in and other apps you can still hear the stations and
- 57:18Chris: we're here on YouTube and
- 57:21Chris: Everything else will be burned up as soon as we're off the air here on YouTube. We're here. We're queer. We're ready to party
- 57:29Chris: Yeah, yes
- 57:32Nora: We're ready to watch marble minute, let's get the update. Oh, let's do it. Yeah, this is this is the finale of the mom
- 57:38Mandy: Oh, don't even don't even wait
- 57:41Chris: Before we roll before we roll the tape. Let's let's take a poll now
- 57:46Chris: We know that sadly Nora's chocolatiers are probably not
- 57:50Nora: It's not going to win.
- 57:51Nora: It will not win, there's no like-
- 57:52Chris: There's no way they can podium at all.
- 57:55Nora: There's no possibility that they-
- 57:56Nora: There's no possibility of podium.
- 57:56Chris: We are ranked 16th.
- 57:58Chris: But let's take a poll.
- 58:00Chris: Who do we think is going to win for all the marbles?
- 58:03Mandy: Look, white men always end up winning in the end.
- 58:07Mandy: (laughing)
- 58:10Nora: I do suspect the Indigo Stars did win,
- 58:13Nora: but I have no idea.
- 58:15Mandy: We all know it's the Indigo Stars.
- 58:17Mandy: I'm repping wearing my pinky-
- 58:19Charles: I do want to put this out in the world.
- 58:23Charles: I know the answer.
- 58:25Charles: I know the answer because it was spoiled for me on TikTok
- 58:28Charles: without me even like knowing what it was
- 58:31Nora: until it was too late.
- 58:32Nora: Yeah, goddamn TikTok algorithms are too good.
- 58:35Charles: I've watched half of Obsession just on TikTok.
- 58:39Nora: (laughing)
- 58:41Chris: Well folks, it's time to figure out
- 58:43Chris: who takes all the marbles.
- 58:46Nora: Or cake.
- 58:49Nora: (beep)
- 58:50Chris: So to catch everyone up, Charles has the Indigo Stars.
- 58:53Chris: I've picked Crazy Cat's Eyes.
- 58:55Chris: Mandy is repping the Pinkies.
- 58:57Chris: And Nora has the Chocolatiers.
- 58:59Video: We decided these at the very beginning of the Marble League
- 59:04Video: and we have followed all 16 events.
- 59:06Video: These are the last two events for the year.
- 59:10Chris: The first event is Sumo.
- 59:13Video: Against Chocolatiers, we know who's winning.
- 59:15Video: to begin the bash-o.
- 59:18Video: Down they come. - Ooh, that's amazing.
- 59:20Video: Nearly clean through go the Chocolatiers.
- 59:23Video: Indigo Stars ease their three off to the top side.
- 59:27Video: 5-6-2, 4-9-5. - Whoo!
- 59:29Video: The difference between those two teams.
- 59:31Charles: I'm so sorry about the Chocolatiers.
- 59:33Video: We just got smoked.
- 59:35Video: -...difference with how this goes.
- 59:36Video: Here is the home team, the Pinkies.
- 59:37Video: Yes, Pinkies!
- 59:39Video: Yes, Pinkies! - Nice.
- 59:41Video: -...because we're going in championship order
- 59:43Video: for the seedings tonight.
- 59:44Video: but a 169 by the Savage Speeders that is really quick
- 59:49Nora: Wow they were all fast eh?
- 59:50Video: Expert positioning by the Pinkies
- 59:51Nora: 527
- 59:52Nora: Not as bad as the Savage Speeders for this game
- 59:54Video: Bumblebees crazy cat's eyes
- 59:56Video: a hard glancing blow sends several marbles
- 1:00:00Video: Whoa!
- 1:00:01Video: Whoa!
- 1:00:02Video: Wow Bumblebees had a lot of fun for a while there, dang
- 1:00:05Video: Safe ways to fall down and head over to the sidelines
- 1:00:08Chris: Typically the team that I go with is the Minty Maniacs
- 1:00:13Chris: but they did not qualify for a marble weakness.
- 1:00:15Video: Oh no.
- 1:00:17Video: Run Oceanics!
- 1:00:18Video: And the Oceanics-
- 1:00:19Video: (laughing)
- 1:00:21Video: And it's gonna be close on that dash to the top side.
- 1:00:23Video: Gosh darn it.
- 1:00:24Video: That was a close one, damn.
- 1:00:26Video: But it's the leading Indigo Stars,
- 1:00:28Video: the one seed, the championship-
- 1:00:30Video: (blowing raspberries)
- 1:00:31Video: Get the win over the Oceanics.
- 1:00:35Video: Black Jacks trying to upset the home team.
- 1:00:38Mandy: No, no, no.
- 1:00:38Nora: Will they?
- 1:00:39Mandy: No, no, no.
- 1:00:40Video: No.
- 1:00:41Video: Kinkies.
- 1:00:42Nora: Nice pinkies.
- 1:00:44Video: Yes!
- 1:00:45Nora: Look, I'm the least competitive person and I'm so into this.
- 1:00:48Video: The Black Jacks in the opening heat may have come back to bite them.
- 1:00:52Video: Teams in sixth and seventh there.
- 1:00:55Nora: Kiss cam!
- 1:00:55Nora: Oh my god, that's so cute!
- 1:00:57Nora: Oh my god, they're kissing!
- 1:00:58Nora: Oh my god, that's the cutest thing ever!
- 1:01:00Nora: Oh my god, do you see that?
- 1:01:01Nora: They're kissing!
- 1:01:03Nora: Oh my god, look, they're kissing!
- 1:01:06Nora: Oh, so cute!
- 1:01:08Video: Ready for the first semifinal.
- 1:01:09Video: Oh!
- 1:01:11Mandy: Come on, come on, pinkies, pinkies, pinkies, pinkies!
- 1:01:12Mandy: -Pinkies, pinkies, pinkies, pinkies, pinkies! -Oh, yeah, pinkies!
- 1:01:15Mandy: -Suck it, Charles!
- 1:01:18Charles: [laughter]
- 1:01:19Video: -Guaranteed a medal.
- 1:01:20Video: -Semifinals!
- 1:01:21Video: -No worse than silver. -Come on, come on, come on, come on!
- 1:01:24Video: -Ready for the bronze.
- 1:01:26Video: -Green Ducks competing for the bronze.
- 1:01:28Nora: -It's amazing that the Green Ducks made it that far.
- 1:01:30Charles: -Oh, my God.
- 1:01:32Nora: -Especially since they're 15.
- 1:01:34Video: -Charles got trashed. -Yes!
- 1:01:37Video: [laughter]
- 1:01:40Video: -It's the final.
- 1:01:41Video: Pinky versus Team Plasma,
- 1:01:43Video: can the home team deliver?
- 1:01:45Video: Ooh!
- 1:01:46Video: Ooh!
- 1:01:48Video: Oh, that hurt!
- 1:01:51Video: Hey.
- 1:01:53Nora: It wasn't in the Ghost Stars.
- 1:01:55Video: I mean, I'll take that.
- 1:01:57Video: Nice.
- 1:02:05Video: Look at that.
- 1:02:07Video: Wow!
- 1:02:09Video: Wow, you guys are so close.
- 1:02:11Video: Now the home team Pinky's in second.
- 1:02:13Video: Snowballs, Raspberry Racers, and the Hazers.
- 1:02:16Video: Today, event 16, Rallycross.
- 1:02:20Video: Oh gosh.
- 1:02:21Chris: This is the final event, Rallycross.
- 1:02:23Chris: So this is an elimination style tournament
- 1:02:28Chris: where basically they race and race and race
- 1:02:30Chris: until the number gets dwindled down to the finalists.
- 1:02:35Video: Marble League champion.
- 1:02:37Video: Hey everybody, I'm Greg Woods.
- 1:02:38Video: you weren't with us for the showdown three distinct parts of across eight
- 1:02:42Chris: races at the end of the second round bottom two teams are eliminated and then
- 1:02:46Chris: further eliminations keep going until only four remain different elements and
- 1:02:51Video: different obstacles wait you want to be the last on it not the first yes yes
- 1:02:55Video: well no you want two races that you will see don't fit Oh Wow pinkies you got
- 1:02:59Chris: right up in sir you want you don't you want to be you want to be first never
- 1:03:02Nora: mind you do want to be first yeah you want to get down first so confused
- 1:03:06Nora: Can you see that? - Look, sports is hard.
- 1:03:08Charles: You guys see that? Indigo Stars last.
- 1:03:11Nora: Whoa, oh my God.
- 1:03:13Charles: Yeah, take a look at that.
- 1:03:14Nora: Indigo Stars is dead last. - Pinkies, Mandy,
- 1:03:17Nora: you might have an upset on your hands.
- 1:03:19Nora: No, I never win anything.
- 1:03:21Nora: (laughs)
- 1:03:22Nora: You might have an upset on your hand.
- 1:03:23Nora: I never win anything.
- 1:03:25Nora: Next, okay, so now there's one more.
- 1:03:27Video: There hopes have been dashed.
- 1:03:30Video: So Indigo Stars need a good finish here
- 1:03:32Video: because we average finishing positions.
- 1:03:34Video: Ah, that's Indigo Stars, gosh darn it.
- 1:03:37Video: And then after this, the bottom two are out.
- 1:03:40Nora: All right, the bottom two are out after this, so like.
- 1:03:42Video: Green Ducks take the lead as they come
- 1:03:44Video: into the GraviTrax.
- 1:03:45Nora: Whoa, look at the snowballs.
- 1:03:47Video: Now down to the survival. - Yeah.
- 1:03:48Video: Those cones have been tricky and snowballs.
- 1:03:51Video: Ace it again, Green Ducks come second, Kobalts.
- 1:03:55Video: God bless, please. - Whoa.
- 1:03:57Video: (both gasping)
- 1:03:58Video: First outing, Pinkies come in dead last.
- 1:04:01Video: Savage Speeders, they finish down there again.
- 1:04:03Video: Indigo stars only 11.
- 1:04:06Nora: No! - Oh no!
- 1:04:11Charles: Goodbye.
- 1:04:13Nora: Oh my God.
- 1:04:15Nora: Oh my God, this is like what happened
- 1:04:17Nora: at the Rockies game on Monday.
- 1:04:18Chris: So yeah, I mean, this is pretty crazy, right?
- 1:04:20Chris: The leaders who've been leading pretty much
- 1:04:23Chris: every single round, every single event
- 1:04:26Chris: are now out of the final event.
- 1:04:27Chris: That doesn't mean they are out of championship contention
- 1:04:30Chris: for the full event as a whole,
- 1:04:35Chris: but that does mean they're not gonna place in this event.
- 1:04:38Nora: Which is gonna hurt their score.
- 1:04:39Chris: Right, it is gonna hurt their overall score,
- 1:04:41Chris: and that is how the champion is determined.
- 1:04:43Nora: Interesting.
- 1:04:45Mandy: This is fascinating.
- 1:04:47Video: Very quick out of the gate.
- 1:04:49Mandy: Look, now I don't care, I'm not in it.
- 1:04:52Mandy: No, you are.
- 1:04:53Mandy: No, you're still in it.
- 1:04:54Video: I thought I wasn't.
- 1:04:55Mandy: Oh, Indigo Stars got out.
- 1:04:56Mandy: Oh, okay, then we're good.
- 1:04:59Mandy: Then I'm gleeful and happy.
- 1:05:01Video: (laughs)
- 1:05:05Video: Oh, no, Pinky's got stuck.
- 1:05:08Nora: It's okay, you're still okay.
- 1:05:11Video: Okay, okay, okay.
- 1:05:12Mandy: Okay, fifth, I'll take fifth.
- 1:05:14Mandy: Okay.
- 1:05:16Mandy: Wow, so it just keeps going over and over again?
- 1:05:18Mandy: Okay. - Yeah.
- 1:05:19Video: I get it.
- 1:05:21Video: That also eliminates the Raspberry Racers
- 1:05:23Video: from being able to win the Marbles.
- 1:05:25Nora: Oh, wow, and they've been doing really well too,
- 1:05:27Nora: haven't they?
- 1:05:28Nora: Sorry, Chris.
- 1:05:30Video: Yeah, what are you gonna do?
- 1:05:31Video: We eliminate two more after this round.
- 1:05:36Video: We start watching who is at the back now
- 1:05:38Video: and who is at the front.
- 1:05:41Video: Wow.
- 1:05:42Video: Strong finishes here, keep you going.
- 1:05:44Mandy: This has nothing to do with time.
- 1:05:46Mandy: We picked wrong, I should have gone for the other team.
- 1:05:48Mandy: Oh, Pinky's, yay.
- 1:05:49Video: Getting stalled through the snow.
- 1:05:51Charles: Okay, okay, okay, okay.
- 1:05:52Charles: The Pinky and the Snow Bunnies
- 1:05:53Charles: are too close to each other.
- 1:05:54Charles: They really are.
- 1:05:55Charles: They are.
- 1:05:56Nora: Snowballs.
- 1:05:56Charles: That is a constant complaint.
- 1:05:58Nora: I mean, they could be like a hot pink and then yeah, there needs to be more pink on
- 1:06:03Nora: your pinkies.
- 1:06:04Chris: First, OK, but you did get first in this race.
- 1:06:06Chris: So that's good.
- 1:06:07Chris: OK, check those out.
- 1:06:09Video: It can help.
- 1:06:10Video: I'm not a doctor, but that's my prescription.
- 1:06:15Video: Next race underway.
- 1:06:17Video: Pinkies were once again up there, but now they are back into third.
- 1:06:20Video: They gained some cones into the gravitracks.
- 1:06:24Video: They go and it is mellow yellow out in front.
- 1:06:27Video: that should coast to an easy victory and does.
- 1:06:29Video: Bean Ducks continue.
- 1:06:31Video: Oh, oh my goodness.
- 1:06:33Video: Hazers up.
- 1:06:34Video: What the heck?
- 1:06:35Nora: OK, Chocolatiers is still going to.
- 1:06:38Nora: I know. I mean, you're not going to place at all, but that's OK.
- 1:06:41Nora: We could do. I mean, we haven't gotten any medals.
- 1:06:44Nora: It might be interesting to get a medal farther into this one.
- 1:06:46Chris: We go. We were talking.
- 1:06:48Chris: At least one medal. I could be wrong.
- 1:06:50Mandy: Yeah, we were talking before the show about how Nora is a very competitive
- 1:06:54Mandy: person in real life and she's like whatever we do our best we try and I'm
- 1:06:58Mandy: not competitive in real life and I'm like kill them.
- 1:07:01Nora: You know how much less competitive I am these days than I used to be?
- 1:07:06Nora: Oh wow what happens when they smack someone?
- 1:07:08Nora: Oh I'm out. I'm out.
- 1:07:10Nora: Wait wait wait wait wait wait okay okay okay okay okay
- 1:07:14Charles: Chuckle tears in sixth.
- 1:07:15Nora: Okay that's oh god.
- 1:07:16Charles: Wait can we pause it for a second? The pinkies got stuck and somebody knocked them in.
- 1:07:21Mandy: I know I saw that.
- 1:07:23Chris: wild. Is that crazy? Yeah. Yeah. As long as there's not outside
- 1:07:28Nora: interference. Anything goes on the track. The only two. There's
- 1:07:31Video: just balls. Indigo stars. Clip that. Look, it's the only part
- 1:07:36Video: of sports I understand. Watching. There's nothing they
- 1:07:39Video: can do right now. Okay, come on. Right now, it's the pinkies
- 1:07:43Nora: leading. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. You got
- 1:07:46Video: it. You got it. Come to the gravitrack. There we go. There
- 1:07:48Nora: we go. There we go. Okay, make
- 1:07:53Nora: Yeah, there we go.
- 1:07:55Video: Back through, it's gonna be very close.
- 1:07:56Nora: Holy shit. - There we go.
- 1:07:58Nora: Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay.
- 1:08:02Nora: We have one more race.
- 1:08:03Video: Three captains in the field.
- 1:08:04Chris: So here's the final, Pinky's Green Ducks,
- 1:08:06Chris: Solar Flares, and Chocolatiers.
- 1:08:08Chris: All the captains.
- 1:08:08Chris: So Chocolatiers can still win a medal for this event.
- 1:08:12Video: Right.
- 1:08:12Video: Solar Flares, the only one that is not.
- 1:08:14Video: One medal for this.
- 1:08:15Chris: Let's just listen to the commentary here.
- 1:08:17Video: Finish last.
- 1:08:18Video: They can win and they are quick out of the gate.
- 1:08:21Video: The Pinkies wanna bring this home
- 1:08:23Video: and win it out right.
- 1:08:25Video: But I don't think they're going to.
- 1:08:26Video: Solar Flares are well off into the distance.
- 1:08:29Video: Pinkies have to keep going and they cannot get stuck.
- 1:08:32Video: That was one problematic area.
- 1:08:34Video: Here they come, into the survival portion.
- 1:08:38Video: Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God.
- 1:08:38Video: This is a team that was made up of actors
- 1:08:40Video: that combined their forces and won a lot of competition.
- 1:08:44Video: And now, Pinkies have brought
- 1:08:47Video: a Marble League Championship home.
- 1:08:50Video: Wow.
- 1:08:52Charles: Did you just hear that?
- 1:08:53Video: I did!
- 1:08:53Video: Pinky's fans, can you believe it?
- 1:08:56Video: Shut up!
- 1:08:57Video: Congratulations, Mandy.
- 1:08:57Video: The bell rings when the crossroads suck up tonight.
- 1:09:01Video: The celebrations have already begun.
- 1:09:05Video: I was 16, team.
- 1:09:06Video: The work of our league has now broken the host curse
- 1:09:11Video: and smashed it to the floor of the Amping Theater.
- 1:09:16Nora: Congratulations.
- 1:09:16Nora: Yay!
- 1:09:17Video: Congratulations to our podium finishers.
- 1:09:18Video: Chalk it's yours to get.
- 1:09:20Video: Come on, Pinky's fans.
- 1:09:21Nora: (cheering)
- 1:09:23Video: Plus, we have loved bringing it to you.
- 1:09:25Video: Time now for the closing ceremony.
- 1:09:26Video: I do wanna see like how,
- 1:09:28Video: I wanna see how close it was.
- 1:09:30Chris: I'm Greg Woods.
- 1:09:31Chris: We will see the final tally
- 1:09:34Chris: at the end of the closing ceremony.
- 1:09:35Chris: Okay, cool.
- 1:09:36Chris: So Mandy, how does it feel to be a winner?
- 1:09:38Mandy: I don't know, I've never been a winner before.
- 1:09:40Mandy: I feel powerful, I feel hungry, I kinda want some bread.
- 1:09:45Video: (laughing)
- 1:09:46Mandy: I had to buy some sourdough the other day
- 1:09:49Mandy: and I was like, gosh darn it, how do I get bread?
- 1:09:51Chris: You're like, here I am buying sourdough.
- 1:09:53Nora: Okay, well I know Charles makes really good sourdough,
- 1:09:56Nora: but my sourdough is questionable.
- 1:09:57Nora: Can I make you just regular yeast bread?
- 1:09:58Nora: We'll talk, we'll talk.
- 1:09:59Nora: I'll make a list.
- 1:10:01Charles: Well, no, you get a, I think that's the,
- 1:10:04Charles: you get to decide.
- 1:10:06Chris: Is it, here's the pinky parade.
- 1:10:08Nora: I mean, I'll just tell you now,
- 1:10:11Nora: my best, I make really, really good yeast bread.
- 1:10:15Nora: There.
- 1:10:16Nora: I make really great cinnamon rolls.
- 1:10:18Charles: Do you want us to choose what we make,
- 1:10:21Charles: or do you want to choose what we make?
- 1:10:24Mandy: Look, can I trust you all not to make
- 1:10:26Mandy: jalapeno cheddar breads?
- 1:10:27Mandy: Yeah. - Yeah.
- 1:10:28Mandy: I won't make that.
- 1:10:30Charles: I know what you want with sourdough.
- 1:10:31Charles: You just want just sourdough.
- 1:10:33Mandy: I do, I do.
- 1:10:34Mandy: I'm a plain, basic person, yeah.
- 1:10:36Mandy: Well, and I make a really good,
- 1:10:37Nora: just basic white bread that's just delicious.
- 1:10:40Mandy: And then should we make the actor make croissants?
- 1:10:42Chris: Bagels? - Oh my God, fuck off.
- 1:10:44Chris: Baklava.
- 1:10:45Chris: You do not want croissants that I make.
- 1:10:47Nora: I think he needs to make baklava, Mandy.
- 1:10:49Nora: Oh, baklava.
- 1:10:51Nora: Baklava's doable, though, people.
- 1:10:52Nora: It's doable.
- 1:10:54Nora: This is great.
- 1:10:55Nora: This is really cute.
- 1:10:56Mandy: It's adorable.
- 1:10:57Nora: They do their little dances.
- 1:10:58Nora: I feel so powerful.
- 1:11:00Nora: OK, I think maybe hazers would be my second choice.
- 1:11:03Chris: So third place is the snowballs.
- 1:11:06Chris: 163 points.
- 1:11:07Mandy: OK.
- 1:11:08Mandy: OK.
- 1:11:09Nora: Congratulations.
- 1:11:10Nora: With the silver.
- 1:11:11Mandy: Indigo stars.
- 1:11:12Mandy: Suck it.
- 1:11:13Mandy: Hey.
- 1:11:16Mandy: No sore winners.
- 1:11:18Mandy: No sore winner over here.
- 1:11:19Mandy: Look, I've never won before.
- 1:11:21Mandy: I don't know how to do it.
- 1:11:22Mandy: Like crazy.
- 1:11:23Chris: You're champions with 175 points.
- 1:11:25Nora: Wow, that's impressive, Mandy.
- 1:11:30Chris: Most valuable marble is Pinky Toe.
- 1:11:32Chris: Best captain is Snowy.
- 1:11:34Chris: Best coach, Pinky Promise.
- 1:11:36Nora: Yeah.
- 1:11:39Chris: I don't know if we've talked over this part
- 1:11:40Chris: of the commentary, but this is the first time
- 1:11:43Chris: that a host team has won the championship.
- 1:11:45Nora: I heard that, yeah.
- 1:11:48Nora: Yay!
- 1:11:48Nora: That's a celebration.
- 1:11:50Nora: They're busting out of the stands, you guys.
- 1:11:52Nora: 'Cause they should.
- 1:11:54Nora: We worked hard.
- 1:11:54Nora: They're gonna go hug their pinkies.
- 1:11:56Nora: I feel like I need an acceptance speech.
- 1:11:57Nora: Hug the pinkies.
- 1:11:58Chris: You see the trophy, Mandy?
- 1:12:00Chris: Oh my God, that's amazing.
- 1:12:01Chris: And all the little first place ribbons.
- 1:12:02Nora: That's amazing.
- 1:12:04Nora: The candle damper.
- 1:12:08Chris: And that concludes Marble League 2026.
- 1:12:12Chris: Yay!
- 1:12:12Nora: That was amazing!
- 1:12:13Nora: They're in the spa.
- 1:12:17Chris: Here's the final standings.
- 1:12:19Nora: Hey, I'm happy that I didn't,
- 1:12:21Nora: that my team didn't end the season with zero medals.
- 1:12:24Nora: That's what I can take home tonight.
- 1:12:27Charles: You got one medal.
- 1:12:29Nora: Yeah.
- 1:12:29Nora: I'm so proud.
- 1:12:30Nora: In the last event, that's where we medaled.
- 1:12:33Chris: My team got two medals, yay.
- 1:12:35Nora: Okay, Mandy, the game that happened on Monday,
- 1:12:40Nora: the baseball game.
- 1:12:41Nora: Sportsball.
- 1:12:42Nora: like me going against that the the green ducks down at the bottom but actually
- 1:12:47Nora: winning over the green ducks nice that's what that's what it would have won
- 1:12:53Charles: how you feeling there I have been holding this in all day I have been
- 1:12:59Mandy: holding and have you been wearing this all day no I have no loss I know I had
- 1:13:08Charles: I had to rep the team.
- 1:13:12Charles: I had to keep a straight face this entire time
- 1:13:16Charles: because I knew the truth of the situation.
- 1:13:20Charles: And even through all the times
- 1:13:22Charles: you told me to go fuck myself today,
- 1:13:26Charles: I still feel like we're-
- 1:13:29Charles: >> A gracious loser. >> Gracious loser.
- 1:13:30Charles: >> Greatly gracious.
- 1:13:31Mandy: No, I think the exact words I used
- 1:13:34Mandy: was "shank you in the parking lot with a knitting needle."
- 1:13:38Charles: (laughing)
- 1:13:40Chris: Charles, I think we can sum it up with this.
- 1:13:43Chris: Everything I do is wrong.
- 1:13:46Chris: (laughing)
- 1:13:49Nora: That's mean.
- 1:13:50Nora: Oh no, that was impressive.
- 1:13:53Nora: And the fact that like two of the teams
- 1:13:55Nora: that you guys chose were in the top two spots,
- 1:13:58Nora: that's cool too.
- 1:13:59Nora: Heck yeah!
- 1:13:59Charles: Super cool.
- 1:14:00Nora: We just chose our teams, you know?
- 1:14:03Charles: Hell yeah.
- 1:14:03Charles: I'm with the stars for life.
- 1:14:05Charles: I'm a starzy.
- 1:14:06Mandy: I'd say I think pinkies is gonna be it even next year. It's still gonna have to be pinkies
- 1:14:11Chris: Cuz they'll have to defend the title. Yeah, and who knows how that's gonna go
- 1:14:15Chris: I cut it out of the video, but the host team for next year is the Cobalt's, okay
- 1:14:22Mandy: Nora next year you have oh my god
- 1:14:28Mandy: If I show up
- 1:14:30Mandy: Yeah
- 1:14:30Mandy: Hazer, I think I might
- 1:14:32Mandy: I don't know about the hazer.
- 1:14:33Mandy: Lynn is right.
- 1:14:34Mandy: The actor can learn to make chocolate chip caramel bars.
- 1:14:37Mandy: So Lynn makes these, I don't like sweets.
- 1:14:39Mandy: Lynn makes the only sweet I love.
- 1:14:41Mandy: And like, I will fight people for this.
- 1:14:44Mandy: Like it's embarrassing.
- 1:14:45Chris: Yep.
- 1:14:46Chris: It's true.
- 1:14:47Chris: Like Mandy's not a big fan of sweet things,
- 1:14:51Chris: but she goes absolutely ape shit
- 1:14:54Chris: for these caramel cookie bars.
- 1:14:56Chris: Which I personally do not care for that much.
- 1:14:59Chris: I like everything Lynn makes except for those
- 1:15:01Chris: because they're way too sweet.
- 1:15:03Chris: And it's astoundingly interesting to me
- 1:15:06Chris: that Mandy likes these things
- 1:15:08Chris: because it is diabetes in bar form.
- 1:15:11Mandy: Yeah, I don't like desserts.
- 1:15:12Mandy: Like I never want a dessert.
- 1:15:14Mandy: Give me another slice of bread, I'm good.
- 1:15:16Mandy: Man, but those caramel.
- 1:15:17Mandy: Maybe that's what you need to make for me then.
- 1:15:19Chris: Yeah, well, we might have discussed this.
- 1:15:21Chris: Chris has to make it though.
- 1:15:23Chris: Yeah, we might have discussed
- 1:15:24Chris: that this would be my fail safe.
- 1:15:26Charles: Right, but Chris has to make 'em.
- 1:15:29Charles: It's not Lynn that makes it.
- 1:15:31Mandy: It has to be Chris. It has to be Chris. Yeah, how do we get how do we get proof of this happening?
- 1:15:37Chris: No one no one said I can't have an assistant
- 1:15:39Charles: You can't you can have an assistant, but you're you're the you have to be the primary baker
- 1:15:45Charles: Only the sous chef. Yes, that's that's fair, right? So I'm fine. I'm fine with that
- 1:15:51Charles: I'm fine with as long as we've got your word
- 1:15:54Mandy: Mm-hmm
- 1:15:56Mandy: Trust the word of a man. I mean and if they get fucked up, yes, you have my word. I will be the primary
- 1:16:05Chris: Baker of these things
- 1:16:07Chris: But I'm also stating unequivocally here for the record that I bear no responsibility
- 1:16:13Chris: If Mandy gets sick as a result
- 1:16:19Nora: Yeah, that is kind of the bargain that we have to especially for making something for
- 1:16:24Chris: I hereby disclaim all liability heretofore
- 1:16:28Chris: throughout the entire known and unknown universe.
- 1:16:30Mandy: If you're just gonna sprinkle some red pepper flakes
- 1:16:32Mandy: on top, it'll be fine.
- 1:16:33Chris: It'll be fine.
- 1:16:35Chris: I mean, I would never do that maliciously by any means.
- 1:16:38Chris: When are these due?
- 1:16:38Chris: I'm just saying that I think most of the things I make
- 1:16:42Chris: are not particularly edible, so there is that.
- 1:16:44Mandy: Look, here's the thing.
- 1:16:45Mandy: I can't eat every thing by myself,
- 1:16:49Mandy: and I am married to a type one diabetic
- 1:16:53Mandy: who cannot have carbs.
- 1:16:55Mandy: So if we can do one a week.
- 1:16:58Mandy: Absolutely, we could do that.
- 1:16:59Mandy: Oh my God, and then I get to revel
- 1:17:01Mandy: in the power of winning for three weeks.
- 1:17:05Chris: That would also solve the problem that we often have.
- 1:17:08Chris: Not really a problem for me,
- 1:17:09Chris: but we often get unannounced deliveries
- 1:17:14Chris: of extra food that Mandy and her husband have.
- 1:17:19Chris: So if we space out the deliveries to be one a week,
- 1:17:22Chris: It will lessen the likelihood that they'll just end up at my house
- 1:17:27Mandy: You guys I bought we bought so much like panaderia
- 1:17:31Mandy: like
- 1:17:32Mandy: Things and I was like we can't actually eat these things. So yeah, i've been eating them for like a week
- 1:17:37Chris: Nice, but they're good, right? All right, not too bad
- 1:17:41Charles: Oh, stop yawning. Oh my god. Where's the energy? Okay. So who's doing who's doing next week?
- 1:17:47Nora: Um, I really want some sourdough. I won't be here next week. Oh, not no. Okay, I can do yeast bread. Okay
- 1:17:53Nora: Yeah. - Mm-hmm.
- 1:17:53Nora: Like a really good deep spread.
- 1:17:54Nora: Do you like, are you okay with a slightly sweet bread?
- 1:17:57Nora: Yeah. - Okay, cool.
- 1:17:58Nora: You'll really like this one then.
- 1:18:00Charles: Hooray!
- 1:18:01Charles: Baked goods!
- 1:18:02Charles: Chris, would you mind doing the week after
- 1:18:04Charles: and then I'll do the week after that?
- 1:18:05Charles: Yeah, I can do that. - Just for timing wise.
- 1:18:07Nora: Cool.
- 1:18:07Nora: And she can eat it during the show?
- 1:18:09Nora: Yes. - Like, rubbing it in our faces?
- 1:18:11Nora: Yes, you have to watch me.
- 1:18:12Nora: I won't share at all.
- 1:18:13Charles: You have to hear the noise of you chewing all the food.
- 1:18:16Nora: At least it's not me.
- 1:18:17Chris: Have you guys seen the videos?
- 1:18:18Chris: Like, we'll just have a camera on Mandy
- 1:18:20Chris: that's just her eating
- 1:18:21Chris: and she doesn't actually speak during the show.
- 1:18:23Charles: Have you seen the videos of the wiener dogs
- 1:18:27Charles: who are eating fruit, mostly watermelon?
- 1:18:31Nora: Yeah.
- 1:18:31Charles: They just eat watermelon, they're just.
- 1:18:34Nora: And you like those?
- 1:18:35Charles: No, I hate it.
- 1:18:36Charles: Oh, okay.
- 1:18:36Charles: 'Cause the noise is awful.
- 1:18:38Nora: 'Cause some people are okay with the dog noise
- 1:18:40Nora: and not the human noise.
- 1:18:41Nora: I'm okay when it's dogs.
- 1:18:43Nora: Okay.
- 1:18:44Nora: Well, okay, our next topic for the day, last topic.
- 1:18:48Nora: Right now, the FIFA World Cup is going on,
- 1:18:51Nora: and we have a bunch of visitors from different countries
- 1:18:55Nora: who are experiencing the US for the first time.
- 1:18:58Nora: And online, people are calling this
- 1:19:00Nora: the Great American Sleepover of 2026,
- 1:19:03Nora: which I find the most endearing thing
- 1:19:05Nora: because it's like reminding me of like what I love
- 1:19:07Nora: about our, you know, the state of our,
- 1:19:10Nora: like our nation, there are good things in communities.
- 1:19:13Nora: So I compiled a bunch of videos from people
- 1:19:17Nora: from different countries trying different things
- 1:19:20Nora: that are American.
- 1:19:21Nora: So barbecue, Walmart, you know,
- 1:19:24Nora: various foods and things like that.
- 1:19:26Nora: So we're gonna start with Japan
- 1:19:28Nora: and just kinda go through these videos.
- 1:19:30Nora: So here are a couple Japanese people
- 1:19:33Nora: trying some American food.
- 1:19:36Nora: What?
- 1:19:37Charles: Four, like 'cause they're in-
- 1:19:38Charles: No, no, no, no, no,
- 1:19:39Charles: but is it the Japanese guy trying a buzz ball?
- 1:19:41Nora: He is one of the guys, but not the buzz ball.
- 1:19:45Nora: Okay. - Maybe.
- 1:19:45Nora: I collected these last week, so I don't remember.
- 1:19:48Nora: Let's go.
- 1:19:48Video: So one of my favorite things that I've seen
- 1:19:50Video: with the World Cup happening is all of these people
- 1:19:52Video: from all over the world coming over here
- 1:19:54Video: and enjoying our food and culture.
- 1:19:56Video: This was one I wanted to point out.
- 1:19:58Video: It is a Japanese man that is here
- 1:20:01Video: and he is discovering a Mexican restaurant
- 1:20:03Video: for the first time.
- 1:20:04Video: So I'm just gonna read it real quick.
- 1:20:06Video: USA, a Mexican restaurant.
- 1:20:08Video: We have not yet ordered anything
- 1:20:09Video: and the food was already arriving.
- 1:20:11Video: Chips, salsa, unrequested, free.
- 1:20:13Video: I stopped the waiter.
- 1:20:14Video: I said, "We haven't earned these.
- 1:20:16Video: "They just come with the table, man."
- 1:20:18Video: They came with the table.
- 1:20:20Video: (laughing)
- 1:20:21Video: Hospitality is a debt.
- 1:20:22Video: Every gift creates an obligation,
- 1:20:24Video: weighed carefully, returned in the proper season
- 1:20:26Video: with interest of feeling.
- 1:20:28Video: Here, the gift arrives before you even proven
- 1:20:31Video: that you can pay for dinner.
- 1:20:33Video: This is not an appetizer.
- 1:20:34Video: This is a declaration.
- 1:20:36Video: We trust you.
- 1:20:37Video: I ate with the gravity the moment deserved,
- 1:20:40Video: and then I must report this calmly,
- 1:20:42Video: The basket emptied and a new one appeared.
- 1:20:45Video: Did we refill?
- 1:20:47Video: The waiter said, it's bottomless.
- 1:20:49Video: My friend warned me, don't fill up on chips, dude.
- 1:20:52Video: Too late.
- 1:20:52Video: I had accepted three baskets.
- 1:20:54Video: Honor demanded each one be finished.
- 1:20:56Video: An unfinished gift is an insult.
- 1:20:59Video: By the time my actual food arrived, I was a ruined man.
- 1:21:03Video: I was not hungry.
- 1:21:04Video: I was not comfortable.
- 1:21:05Video: I had been defeated by a courtesy.
- 1:21:08Video: Generosity that arrives before the request
- 1:21:10Video: cannot be repaid.
- 1:21:12Video: It can only be so my God, I think that line describes me.
- 1:21:15Video: I have made my peace with the basket one basket to most.
- 1:21:20Video: Who am I deceiving?
- 1:21:21Video: There is no number of baskets.
- 1:21:23Video: I was the trust of a nation is in that salsa.
- 1:21:27Video: And I am serious.
- 1:21:29Mandy: Generosity that arrives can only be survived.
- 1:21:32Video: I feel like that.
- 1:21:33Video: And I really love I don't know if it's translated, but this is
- 1:21:37Video: an amazing thing and it's beautiful.
- 1:21:39Video: Check it out.
- 1:21:41Charles: Can I just say I hate this kind of content?
- 1:21:43Charles: What, the guy reading it out?
- 1:21:45Charles: The guy just reading Twitter.
- 1:21:46Charles: Yeah, no, I didn't like that.
- 1:21:49Charles: It's like...
- 1:21:49Charles: The rest of them are better.
- 1:21:50Charles: No, no, no. OK, good.
- 1:21:52Chris: Wait, so you're telling me you'd rather have this bullshit?
- 1:21:55Chris: I'm the guy that makes all those popular catchphrases.
- 1:21:57Charles: Yes, because that's original.
- 1:22:00Charles: That the other guy...
- 1:22:01Charles: He's just content farming.
- 1:22:02Charles: He's just content farming, which...
- 1:22:06Mandy: I'll take content farming when I'm not going to come across that content.
- 1:22:09Mandy: Yeah.
- 1:22:10Mandy: Like I'm not on Twitter, I'll never see it.
- 1:22:12Chris: Wait, what is happening over there?
- 1:22:14Charles: Yeah, she's insulting what we do.
- 1:22:19Charles: I said I hate that kind of content, and then I was like, wait, that's what we do.
- 1:22:26Chris: Wait, I got a solution.
- 1:22:29Nora: That video sucks.
- 1:22:32Nora: Okay, I do have another one, and it's another, it's a Japanese guy trying some barbecue or
- 1:22:37Nora: a steak.
- 1:22:39Video: First time try Dallas BBQ.
- 1:22:42Video: Let's go.
- 1:22:43Video: Welcome to Dallas.
- 1:22:49Mandy: Just the bliss on their faces.
- 1:22:51Mandy: Fucking good.
- 1:22:52Mandy: Fucking good.
- 1:22:53Mandy: I mean, I feel the same way every time I eat brisket.
- 1:22:56Chris: Yeah.
- 1:22:56Mandy: So good.
- 1:22:57Chris: BBQ is legitimately incredible.
- 1:22:59Mandy: It really is.
- 1:22:59Mandy: I eat it at least once a week.
- 1:23:01Chris: Even bad BBQ is still good.
- 1:23:03Chris: Yeah.
- 1:23:04Nora: That's how powerful it is.
- 1:23:05Nora: Not bad, not British BBQ.
- 1:23:08Charles: Bad barbecue is bad.
- 1:23:10Charles: Bad pizza is good.
- 1:23:12Charles: Bad barbecue is bad.
- 1:23:13Chris: No, but even if you have,
- 1:23:15Chris: I'm not talking about like bad, bad,
- 1:23:16Chris: but like even if you have like less than amazing barbecue,
- 1:23:21Chris: it is still a hell of a lot better
- 1:23:22Chris: than making like a turkey sandwich.
- 1:23:24Chris: Or beans on toast.
- 1:23:25Chris: Yeah, right.
- 1:23:26Chris: Beans on toast is gross no matter what.
- 1:23:28Mandy: Marmite.
- 1:23:29Charles: Oh, ugh.
- 1:23:30Charles: Yeah.
- 1:23:31Charles: No, I agree with you.
- 1:23:32Charles: I just have had like significantly worse bad barbecue
- 1:23:35Charles: is all I'm saying.
- 1:23:36Charles: You've had bad barbecue. I've had some some rough some rough stuff in in
- 1:23:42Nora: Vegas mostly. Well, okay. It's not really a barbecue capital
- 1:23:47Nora: So, okay. So the next video is a Frenchman reacting to
- 1:23:52Nora: Being in America for you know, just just existing here basically
- 1:23:58Video: Madames and monsieur we need to talk
- 1:24:01Video: We need to talk
- 1:24:03Video: Les boissons, les boissons
- 1:24:05Video: Oh
- 1:24:14Video: Sacrebleu the first time in my life
- 1:24:18Video: Better than any moment in my life and I am married and have two kids
- 1:24:23Video: Friends you have the crepe the petit pain au chocolat the croissant. I give my left croissant for a Texas brisket
- 1:24:31Video: Don't even get me started on Costco
- 1:24:35Video: Costco is bigger than my village where I live.
- 1:24:39Video: Whatever you want at Costco, it's there.
- 1:24:41Video: You just show up and you can buy all your life there.
- 1:24:44Mandy: Is this an American with a fake accent?
- 1:24:46Video: That's what I'm thinking.
- 1:24:48Video: I don't know.
- 1:24:49Video: No, this is French Michael Phelps.
- 1:24:52Video: French Michael Phelps.
- 1:24:53Video: That's his name.
- 1:24:55Video: Oh, really?
- 1:24:56Video: Uh-huh.
- 1:24:56Video: Oh, shit.
- 1:24:58Video: Italians, I'm sorry, but ranch makes pizza better than anything I've ever tasted.
- 1:25:06Video: When you go to a restaurant, you leave a tip.
- 1:25:11Video: It's because they're so nice.
- 1:25:13Video: But my waitress, she came over and talked to us like we had known each other for a year.
- 1:25:20Video: It was like she wanted to be my best friend.
- 1:25:22Video: And at the end, I felt stupid not to leave a tip.
- 1:25:26Video: In France, they want to take off the tip of my head.
- 1:25:29Video: Speaking about how nice and friendly these Americans are,
- 1:25:33Video: I think in France, I can count on one hand
- 1:25:39Video: how many people have smiled at me.
- 1:25:42Video: Just normally, they smile, you know.
- 1:25:45Video: I think my mother has smiled at me twice.
- 1:25:47Video: (laughing)
- 1:25:48Video: Here, just going down the street, everybody says hi.
- 1:25:53Video: What do you mean "hi"?
- 1:25:56Video: What do you mean "bonjour"?
- 1:25:58Video: Hi!
- 1:25:59Video: This is a normal road in America.
- 1:26:03Video: And this is bigger than the Champs-Elysées.
- 1:26:07Video: This car right here is called a Waymo.
- 1:26:11Video: Waymo? C'est ça? Yeah, Waymo.
- 1:26:14Video: And for the longest time I wondered why it was called a Waymo.
- 1:26:18Video: It is because America has Waymo than the rest of the world.
- 1:26:22Mandy: Ha. - Buh-dum-bum.
- 1:26:24Charles: Uh... - Ho, ho, ho, it's me, the Frenchman.
- 1:26:27Charles: (laughter)
- 1:26:29Charles: Okay, that-- are you sure this guy is truly French?
- 1:26:32Charles: Right. - And it's not-
- 1:26:34Charles: it's the same kind of thing that I feel like Flew-
- 1:26:36Charles: are you familiar with Flew Leborg?
- 1:26:38Charles: Yeah. - German guy?
- 1:26:39Charles: I know he's German, but he's like-
- 1:26:40Nora: But that's-- he's putting it on.
- 1:26:41Charles: Right. Do you think this guy is also putting it on?
- 1:26:43Nora: 'Cause that was like-- - I don't think so.
- 1:26:46Nora: He seems like a normal dad of two.
- 1:26:49Nora: Like, the content that he made before this was just like,
- 1:26:51Nora: his wife and baby. Like he's just observing things about America from what I can see.
- 1:26:58Nora: That's fair. I'll believe you. I believe you. All right. So next we have a Netherlands
- 1:27:05Nora: reaction. I don't remember what video this is. So we'll watch it. Next one in the rundown
- 1:27:09Nora: is Buc-ee's. Oh yeah. Netherlands. Yeah. A guy from the Netherlands and Buc-ee's. You
- 1:27:23Nora: It is in Dutch.
- 1:27:25Chris: Yeah, but the music isn't.
- 1:27:26Nora: No, it's not.
- 1:27:31Chris: Oh, he's going to Bucky's.
- 1:27:33Nora: Oh my gosh, he is going to our Bucky's.
- 1:27:36Chris: Is it the one that's down the street?
- 1:27:37Chris: Yeah.
- 1:27:38Nora: Yep.
- 1:27:38Chris: It's probably got a tornado hitting it right now.
- 1:27:40Nora: I just went there yesterday, actually.
- 1:27:42Nora: And what did you think?
- 1:27:44Nora: It was wow.
- 1:27:45Nora: Oh my God.
- 1:27:46Nora: Yeah.
- 1:27:46Chris: Is that your first time there, Norm?
- 1:27:47Nora: Yeah, it was my first time there.
- 1:27:49Nora: What did you get?
- 1:27:50Nora: I got beef jerky and I also got some Texas tea.
- 1:27:58Nora: Okay.
- 1:27:59Nora: Yeah.
- 1:28:00Nora: And some beaver nuts.
- 1:28:03Nora: Beaver nuggets.
- 1:28:04Mandy: Beaver nuggets.
- 1:28:05Video: I got some beaver nuts.
- 1:28:06Mandy: Yeah, but you have to get the other ones.
- 1:28:08Mandy: So there's beaver nuggets and they have all these ingredients and then they have an upper
- 1:28:12Mandy: scale version of beaver nuggets that have like, they're like three ingredients that
- 1:28:16Mandy: are like milk, cream, butter.
- 1:28:18Mandy: Oh, okay.
- 1:28:19Nora: Yep, and I heard the fresh biscuit on the bowl. Yeah, that was great, too
- 1:28:27Nora: It's crazy there. Those are the beaver nuggets. Yeah, I get a little overwhelmed
- 1:28:32Nora: I don't I don't do so well when my friend literally got nauseous as soon as he walked in there
- 1:28:41Nora: It was crazy
- 1:28:43Nora: definitely crazy we could do a
- 1:28:46Nora: taste test of things from
- 1:28:49Nora: Bucky's if we wanted to do a tasty little guys
- 1:28:53Nora: So it was just really weird. There's just a bunch of weird stuff there and
- 1:29:00Nora: I don't know why they have a bunch of household goods. There's also a World Cup jersey that says Bucky's on the back
- 1:29:07Nora: I mean, I feel like it should yeah, I wonder I wonder if they're a sponsor
- 1:29:11Chris: Yeah, so for those of us for those of you who aren't graced with the presence of Bucky's near you
- 1:29:16Chris: It is basically the world's largest
- 1:29:21Chris: Convenience store gas station. It's the size of a small
- 1:29:25Chris: Walmart and it's very Texas. It's it's extremely, Texas
- 1:29:29Chris: They have a lot of you know
- 1:29:31Chris: They have every snack and whatever that you could that you could ask for they carry a lot of barbecue that they make in-house
- 1:29:38Chris: They have their own custom snacks called beaver nuggets that you can just buy a bag, but you can only get them from Bucky's
- 1:29:44Chris: They're not available in other stores.
- 1:29:46Chris: And then they just have a whole bunch of like kitschy,
- 1:29:50Chris: like, in my opinion, stupid kind of home goods,
- 1:29:52Chris: like your Live Laugh Love kind of stuff
- 1:29:56Chris: that you would see-
- 1:29:57Nora: Live Laugh Buc-ee's?
- 1:29:58Chris: Yeah, in like a cracker barrel.
- 1:30:00Nora: Weird baby clothes with Buc-ee's branded stuff on it?
- 1:30:03Chris: Yeah, well, Buc-ee's is probably the only convenience store
- 1:30:07Chris: that I know of that actually has a fan following.
- 1:30:09Chris: So yeah, they have a big a big mascot
- 1:30:13Chris: Beaver and they have all manner of goods with the Bucky's beaver on it that you can get everything from
- 1:30:20Chris: t-shirts to pull toys to
- 1:30:24Chris: Plushies like you name it. They've got something with his face on it
- 1:30:27Mandy: So I'm from Texas and so you kind of have a nostalgia for some things, you know
- 1:30:32Mandy: Just like, you know Chick-fil-a. Sometimes I get really nostalgic for like, you know, racism and homophobia
- 1:30:38Mandy: So I go and have Chick-fil-A and I feel a little like more like at home. I use their Wi-Fi
- 1:30:43Mandy: To donate the same amount to the Trevor project
- 1:30:48Mandy: Just letting you know
- 1:30:50Mandy: And I literally put in the in the four line. I call it my Chick-fil-A penance
- 1:30:58Mandy: So we open up a Bucky's
- 1:31:00Mandy: They opened on my birthday and I was like I have to go went and then immediately regretted every single decision
- 1:31:07Chris: I was like this isn't where I want to spend my birthday and on the subject of mediocre barbecue the barbecue that they have there
- 1:31:13Chris: Yeah, fresh they are making sure to order and that's all good
- 1:31:17Chris: But it's certainly not better than you're gonna find in a real barbecue restaurant by any means very true
- 1:31:23Mandy: But I will say if you need barbecue at 2 o'clock in the morning, that's it's there for you
- 1:31:27Chris: That's right. If you need to a and brisket, then yeah, then they've got a number
- 1:31:31Chris: I will say however, their breakfast items are very very tasty
- 1:31:36Chris: They make some some scratch made biscuits and have those have those in sandwiches the burritos or whatever
- 1:31:43Chris: They're fine, but they're they're biscuits that they're making there are actually fantastic
- 1:31:48Nora: if I would have gotten anything I would have gone for a breakfast sandwich because they
- 1:31:52Chris: And like every other breakfast place in the world. They're only available until 1030. I'm sending you guys a
- 1:31:58Charles: Picture into the group chat. It's a race. You can show this a light like so I went to Bucky's for my
- 1:32:06Charles: cosplay a few years back I went as so there's a character from One Piece named
- 1:32:13Charles: Monkey D. Luffy who's the lead character. Oh my god. You went as Bucky D. Luffy. I went as
- 1:32:19Charles: Bucky D. Luffy with all all the items that I had for my costume were bought at
- 1:32:25Nora: Bucky's. Okay that's pretty amazing. That's pretty good. That's pretty good.
- 1:32:31Charles: I love I love Bucky's from a distance. I don't like going inside
- 1:32:37Charles: bathrooms are awesome bathrooms are crazy the bathrooms are
- 1:32:40Charles: Incur they're really crazy pretty luxurious. Yeah, like I want that bathroom in my bathroom
- 1:32:45Nora: I think the only thing that they could do better is like have a bidet or something
- 1:32:51Nora: I've seen truck stops with bidets. What really?
- 1:32:56Mandy: Don't know how I feel about public to bidets, but my bidet like if there's a house fire
- 1:33:01Mandy: I think that's what I'm grabbing like my husband can just you know sleep through it. I got my bidet I
- 1:33:07Charles: Don't have one, but I want one real bad there. We go look at that
- 1:33:14Charles: That's that's me like 40 50 pounds heavier Wow
- 1:33:23Nora: So the next one I have is an Eastern European trying going to Walmart for the first time
- 1:33:28Nora: So let's let's check this one out for that real quick
- 1:33:31Chris: Yeah, can I just say that I love that our version of talking about the World Cup is talking about how foreigners interact with American?
- 1:33:39Chris: Culture I just think that's it's the most it's like people watching, you know
- 1:33:43Nora: Like we get to see all of like how how other people see the United States through, you know through their eyes
- 1:33:49Nora: And that's like so cool to me. I don't know
- 1:33:51Nora: That's what the communities where these things come from is what makes you know, the good things also sports balls
- 1:33:59Charles: Yeah balls balls balls. Yeah, so
- 1:34:03Nora: He yeah, you couldn't I don't think there's any music
- 1:34:08Video: This is the biggest tourist attraction I can have as a European
- 1:34:16Chris: Let's go inside they've got like the Louvre and shit
- 1:34:19Chris: and we've got Walmart.
- 1:34:20Video: Yeah.
- 1:34:21Video: [LAUGHTER]
- 1:34:22Chris: As you can see, Walmart, it's huge.
- 1:34:25Video: Walmart.
- 1:34:26Video: [LAUGHTER]
- 1:34:27Video: It's so huge.
- 1:34:28Video: Come check out the pyramids.
- 1:34:29Video: You lost your ones.
- 1:34:30Video: Ours are a pyramid to capitalism.
- 1:34:32Video: I was just walking around the whole Walmart,
- 1:34:34Video: and I lost myself because it's so huge.
- 1:34:37Video: You can't compare this to Europe.
- 1:34:38Video: [LAUGHTER]
- 1:34:40Video: There are the big pizzas.
- 1:34:43Nora: I always see them looking at these giant pizzas.
- 1:34:45Nora: 1.26 kilos.
- 1:34:48Nora: (laughter)
- 1:34:50Nora: A pizza.
- 1:34:51Nora: (laughter)
- 1:34:53Video: I'm gonna look for something.
- 1:34:54Video: I don't know what that is.
- 1:34:55Charles: I only understand freedom units.
- 1:34:57Charles: Fuck this guy.
- 1:34:58Charles: I can eat one of those pizzas by myself.
- 1:35:00Nora: I know, right?
- 1:35:01Nora: (laughter)
- 1:35:03Video: The ingredients.
- 1:35:04Video: He's laughing at the ingredient list.
- 1:35:07Video: (laughter)
- 1:35:12Video: This is bigger than my future.
- 1:35:14Video: BBC, how you call it?
- 1:35:15Video: I need the stats, though.
- 1:35:17Chris: He just called that a BBC.
- 1:35:19Chris: Yes, he did.
- 1:35:20Chris: Wow.
- 1:35:21Chris: That's not OK.
- 1:35:23Chris: Mandy, you know what a BBC?
- 1:35:24Chris: No, I don't.
- 1:35:26Video: Hey, we can talk about that later.
- 1:35:28Chris: Let's talk about that after the show.
- 1:35:31Mandy: Is it another sports ball term?
- 1:35:33Chris: I hope not.
- 1:35:34Chris: There are there are balls involved.
- 1:35:38Chris: I mean, look at this.
- 1:35:40Video: Look at this, I see.
- 1:35:45Video: You can beat someone up with this big piece of meat.
- 1:35:48Video: Here we go for our Hispanics here, huh?
- 1:35:54Video: Un pedicito de Mexico.
- 1:35:58Video: Yes, product of Mexico, I guess.
- 1:36:00Video: My god.
- 1:36:02Video: [LAUGHTER]
- 1:36:05Mandy: You don't eat it all at once.
- 1:36:07Mandy: I know, like-
- 1:36:08Mandy: OK, so we have bigger families in the US than in Europe.
- 1:36:12Nora: Here's the thing.
- 1:36:13Nora: Our infrastructure, the reason why we have so much things like this, why he makes fun of us,
- 1:36:19Nora: the real reason that we have this is because it's a car-based infrastructure
- 1:36:22Nora: and so we go to the grocery store less frequently than people in Europe because
- 1:36:26Nora: they can go to the shop on the way home and they just get what they need every
- 1:36:29Nora: day from the shop to make dinner. But we meal prep and literally...
- 1:36:33Nora: Which sounds like a real pain in the ass. Right? We meal prep and we get everything that we need every two weeks.
- 1:36:38Nora: Don't say "we". We. Grocery shopping is the worst.
- 1:36:41Nora: But like I go shopping every two weeks, right?
- 1:36:43Nora: Like I don't go to the grocery store every week
- 1:36:45Nora: or every day, you know?
- 1:36:47Nora: Our car-based infrastructure is why we are this way.
- 1:36:51Charles: Right, right, 100%.
- 1:36:53Nora: Not like we have a choice.
- 1:36:55Charles: What else we got?
- 1:36:56Charles: Okay, next.
- 1:36:57Nora: Let's keep moving.
- 1:36:57Nora: Yeah, let's keep moving.
- 1:36:59Nora: Next, after this guy, 'cause this guy, he kinda stinks.
- 1:37:02Nora: Chris, stop playing this one.
- 1:37:04Nora: Okay, the UK, the last one.
- 1:37:07Nora: So obviously we know that British people
- 1:37:10Nora: don't really know how to they don't really understand the gravity of the United States,
- 1:37:14Nora: right? But here is a bunch of people from the British Isles who are appreciating us.
- 1:37:19Nora: So first of all, this is a Scott trying the Boston Cop Slide and you're welcome to use the music on
- 1:37:26Nora: this one. So he's playing the bagpipe going down the slide.
- 1:37:41Nora: (laughing)
- 1:37:46Nora: But he didn't eat shit.
- 1:37:48Nora: No, I know.
- 1:37:49Nora: And this slide determines if you're pure of heart or not.
- 1:37:52Nora: If you go down slowly, you're pure of heart.
- 1:37:54Nora: And if you fly down that thing,
- 1:37:56Nora: you're not pure of heart, babe.
- 1:37:58Nora: Yep, yep, just like Taco Bell.
- 1:38:00Charles: That's why that cop just went down
- 1:38:01Charles: at like a thousand miles an hour.
- 1:38:02Nora: Yeah, exactly, exactly.
- 1:38:04Nora: There was another guy who went down at a thousand miles
- 1:38:06Nora: an hour.
- 1:38:07Nora: Next, I have a little bit of a news clip.
- 1:38:11Nora: The Scots literally drank Boston dry.
- 1:38:15Nora: They tripled St. Paddy's Day sales.
- 1:38:17Nora: So let's hear-
- 1:38:18Video: I wouldn't think that'd be possible.
- 1:38:19Video: Yeah, I know.
- 1:38:21Video: Beer, the Scots fans just drunk the place dry.
- 1:38:24Video: And all they had was like Bud Light.
- 1:38:26Video: If your favorite beer is missing from a tap-
- 1:38:28Video: We've never seen anything like it.
- 1:38:30Video: --there's a decent chance Scotland
- 1:38:32Video: had something to do with it.
- 1:38:33Video: Sam Adams downtown ran out of their signature Boston
- 1:38:37Video: over the weekend and needed an emergency delivery
- 1:38:40Video: to keep up with World Cup fans.
- 1:38:42Chris: They're just like,
- 1:38:42Chris: "We're gonna show these wankers how to drink."
- 1:38:44Video: Yeah, right, exactly.
- 1:38:45Video: And they're not the only ones running dry.
- 1:38:47Video: Pretty much everything.
- 1:38:48Video: We ran out of everything, Tennants being number one.
- 1:38:50Video: White Bull Tavern may have run out
- 1:38:52Video: of Scotland's iconic Tennants beer,
- 1:38:54Video: but that didn't stop the party.
- 1:38:56Video: The fans have been unbelievable.
- 1:38:57Video: They're great, they're fun, they're drinking,
- 1:38:59Video: partying, having a great time.
- 1:39:00Chris: Great time.
- 1:39:01Chris: They just jumped behind the bar
- 1:39:04Chris: and started drinking, like rubbing out.
- 1:39:06Video: I'm going to have to get
- 1:39:19Video: can still find their tenants lager.
- 1:39:22Video: We managed to plan ahead and get an extra delivery
- 1:39:24Video: on last Saturday and I was told yesterday
- 1:39:27Video: the distributor has run out also.
- 1:39:29Video: He's getting his today and the rest of the city's
- 1:39:31Video: getting theirs tomorrow.
- 1:39:32Chris: Incredible.
- 1:39:33Chris: Oh my God, that's awesome.
- 1:39:34Nora: So the Scots are literally drinking Boston Dry,
- 1:39:36Nora: but the other thing is they're being really like,
- 1:39:39Nora: they're not being unmanageable,
- 1:39:41Nora: they're not being like absurdly drunk
- 1:39:44Nora: and you know, they're not distressing everyone else.
- 1:39:47Nora: They're having a great time
- 1:39:48Nora: and making Boston a more fun place.
- 1:39:50Nora: They invaded Fenway Park and were there for a Red Sox game
- 1:39:55Nora: and they had no idea what baseball was,
- 1:39:56Nora: but they had a great time. - Same.
- 1:39:58Nora: Yeah, they had a great time.
- 1:39:59Nora: And it's just wonderful to see,
- 1:40:01Nora: Boston is trying to figure out a way
- 1:40:03Nora: to get the Scots back to Boston every year
- 1:40:05Nora: because they love them so much.
- 1:40:07Nora: That's adorable.
- 1:40:10Nora: So next we're gonna watch somebody try canes
- 1:40:14Nora: for the first time.
- 1:40:14Nora: Oh, that's amazing.
- 1:40:16Nora: Yeah, this is an Irishman trying canes for the first time.
- 1:40:20Video: [Irishman noises]
- 1:40:21Video: BOSH!
- 1:40:23Video: Americans claim it's overhyped. Everyone outside of America says it's the best thing they've ever tasted.
- 1:40:28Video: Let's find out just how good Raising Cane's really is.
- 1:40:30Video: I went to Standard's and got some chicken combo meal.
- 1:40:33Video: Got chips, coke, chicken dippers, small Raising Cane sauce, massive Raising Cane sauce, and a lemonade.
- 1:40:40Video: Oh, okay, so that's all Raising Cane's sauce.
- 1:40:42Chris: Wait, that whole cup is full of sauce?
- 1:40:44Chris: Yeah.
- 1:40:45Chris: Holy shit
- 1:40:47Video: That's
- 1:41:15Video: in the sauce. That sauce? Different.
- 1:41:19Video: Oh no! Oh my god, tell me when it's over.
- 1:41:25Chris: It's over, I think.
- 1:41:27Video: The chip is thundered, but it's soft.
- 1:41:30Video: Man, for some reason, fucking bread.
- 1:41:33Video: Slobber it in, you know yourself.
- 1:41:35Video: Oh no.
- 1:41:38Mandy: Holy Christmas. No, you don't need to do that.
- 1:41:40Mandy: No, Americans, do not do this.
- 1:41:42Mandy: Oh, he ate half the whole thing.
- 1:41:43Video: God, that's so gross.
- 1:41:46Video: Overall, I'm being real, chicken butt stuff is bland.
- 1:41:48Video: I'm gonna be, I'll be straight up,
- 1:41:49Video: the chicken is so bland.
- 1:41:50Chris: Yeah, but that's not the point.
- 1:41:52Chris: Yeah, you're right.
- 1:41:53Chris: The chicken is just a sauce delivery system.
- 1:41:56Chris: That's the whole reason for doing this.
- 1:41:57Nora: For cane sauce.
- 1:41:57Nora: The cane sauce is so good.
- 1:42:00Mandy: (laughs)
- 1:42:00Mandy: Okay, but good enough to be drinking it straight up?
- 1:42:03Mandy: No, no, no, no.
- 1:42:03Mandy: No, God no.
- 1:42:04Video: I wouldn't.
- 1:42:05Video: The two work hand in hand.
- 1:42:06Video: Yeah, for the actual quality of the food.
- 1:42:07Video: No one terms of how good the sauce is.
- 1:42:09Video: That sauce slaps.
- 1:42:11Mandy: Also, just lemonade, it's an Arnold Palmer, thank you.
- 1:42:15Charles: True that, true that.
- 1:42:17Charles: You guys know that they also have honey mustard at Cane's?
- 1:42:20Video: No, did anyone get it?
- 1:42:21Nora: Did I ever get honey mustard, is it homemade?
- 1:42:23Charles: It's homemade, house made honey mustard.
- 1:42:26Nora: I did not know that.
- 1:42:27Charles: It's a little bit wetter than I normally would go for,
- 1:42:30Charles: for like a honey mustard, a little bit wetter.
- 1:42:32Charles: That's what she, nevermind.
- 1:42:34Charles: Holy shit.
- 1:42:35Mandy: Wait, I don't feel like this is true.
- 1:42:37Mandy: That sounds really good.
- 1:42:38Mandy: Is this really true?
- 1:42:39Chris: This is 100% true.
- 1:42:41Mandy: I get it every single time I go to Cane's.
- 1:42:42Mandy: Cane's is closed right now.
- 1:42:43Chris: Is it a secret menu item?
- 1:42:45Mandy: I think Cane's stays open until like 2 a.m.
- 1:42:47Mandy: and we can go to Cane's after that.
- 1:42:48Mandy: They're closed.
- 1:42:49Chris: Yes, but the one in Fort Collins is being renovated.
- 1:42:51Chris: The one that's just down the street is closed.
- 1:42:53Mandy: You have to go to Loveland for it,
- 1:42:55Mandy: which I'm not going to do.
- 1:42:56Mandy: I sure did.
- 1:42:57Mandy: It's on the way.
- 1:42:57Mandy: I will, I don't know, it's on the way home for me.
- 1:42:59Mandy: That's true.
- 1:43:00Mandy: I don't know, I can go just a little bit out of the way.
- 1:43:02Mandy: Yeah.
- 1:43:03Mandy: I haven't had dinner.
- 1:43:04Mandy: Two more, I know, I'm hungry.
- 1:43:05Chris: She rolls up
- 1:43:11Chris: And then be like it's another one of the white man's line. Yeah, right remember Mandy Charles is known for lying
- 1:43:20Mandy: All right, I'm very gullible it's not fun to lie to the gullible
- 1:43:24Charles: Everything I do is wrong as a guy. Yeah, can you just cut to my screen real quick?
- 1:43:29Charles: What um a raisin canes offers honey mustard as a secret menu item?
- 1:43:34Nora: Okay, cool
- 1:43:36Nora: Yeah, see they're closed for remodeling right now
- 1:43:39Nora: Embarrassing screenshots on Charles's desktop. Yeah, look at that. That's nice
- 1:43:46Nora: Okay
- 1:43:50Nora: Now I want honey mustard and canes and I'm not gonna get it I'm sad I'm real tempted to go home that way
- 1:43:55Chris: I'm also tempted to to do that. Should we just go do that?
- 1:43:59Chris: And then our significant others are like where you guys come on. I mean little be asleep. So that's fine
- 1:44:06Chris: Google needs to learn English do canes really have honey mustard. It's does well so to most English speakers in America
- 1:44:15Charles: How do you order it though? How do you order the honey mustard? Can I have a secret secret honey mustard?
- 1:44:21Charles: No, you have to say I need the yellow sloppy
- 1:44:26Charles: Give me some of that yellow sloppy. I cannot do that. That's how you have to order it though
- 1:44:32Chris: I did not do that. No, we're not we're not doing that
- 1:44:38Charles: I gotta have some of that yellow sloppy with my kids, you know?
- 1:44:42Nora: So the next video, uh, everything I do is wrong.
- 1:44:45Nora: British people don't understand.
- 1:44:46Nora: They don't, they don't know about diners.
- 1:44:48Nora: They're not familiar with diners.
- 1:44:49Nora: So with diners, love a good diner.
- 1:44:51Nora: This British couple went to IHOP and uh, evidently this was a life changing experience for them.
- 1:44:58Nora: So let's go ahead and watch.
- 1:44:59Video: So I hopped for breakfast.
- 1:45:01Video: I've seen these stacks of pancakes all over my for you page.
- 1:45:04Video: So I have to get them.
- 1:45:05Video: Here we are.
- 1:45:06Video: We've just sat down, I haven't looked at the menu yet but everything just looks so nice
- 1:45:11Video: I don't know what these are, I bet it's sauces or something
- 1:45:14Video: We've got old fashioned blueberry, butter pecan and strawberry
- 1:45:18Video: We're gonna be using that strawberry a lot later
- 1:45:20Video: I feel like they might be like syrups in this huge pan
- 1:45:23Video: I didn't know that they were syrups
- 1:45:25Video: I have actually been here before but I've never ordered that
- 1:45:28Video: and I'm really tempted to get like sausage, egg, hash brown or just get pancakes
- 1:45:34Video: I'm definitely getting a pancake.
- 1:45:36Video: You can even get chicken and waffles.
- 1:45:38Video: Hi, it's me. When I get in here with my dad, he always gets the buttermilk biscuit and gravy combo.
- 1:45:43Video: Which I've never actually tried before. But I feel like I might try that at a different place if I don't like it.
- 1:45:48Video: Then I'm bored to death for breakfast and I've got to eat it.
- 1:45:50Charles: So I think we're going to get this.
- 1:45:51Charles: Okay, pause it, pause it, pause it.
- 1:45:55Charles: Do they not eat? Like this is pancakes, eggs, and sausage.
- 1:46:01Nora: Have you seen a British breakfast?
- 1:46:03Chris: I mean yet British breakfast is legitimately disgusting like mushrooms. Nobody wants that for right? Have you seen a British breakfast?
- 1:46:11Nora: Yeah, British a big breakfast in England is like
- 1:46:15Nora: like
- 1:46:16Nora: gravy
- 1:46:17Nora: eggs
- 1:46:19Nora: tomatoes baked beans
- 1:46:22Nora: like with like tea
- 1:46:24Nora: It's not like it's not like
- 1:46:26Nora: Sausage eggs and bacon that we have like with hash browns here
- 1:46:29Nora: Like they're they go the very savory route and make it disgusting
- 1:46:34Chris: I will say - I was ready to call bullshit and say that they were just doing this for content because I'm like surely
- 1:46:40Chris: There are I hops in the UK there are not
- 1:46:43Chris: However, there are I hops in the Americas the Middle East South Asia and Southeast Asia
- 1:46:50Chris: Including Kuwait Qatar Bahrain the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Lebanon
- 1:46:55Chris: So United Kingdom get your shit together
- 1:47:02Nora: Yeah, why aren't the British why don't the British know what a diner is because well
- 1:47:07Charles: I think they just don't understand food
- 1:47:09Charles: I saw like three British women go to a Chili's and like freak out of her monster orgasms over mozzarella sticks. Yeah
- 1:47:16Nora: Yeah over a cheese. I mean that Chili's can hit sometimes
- 1:47:22Chris: In Ecuador, oh
- 1:47:24Nora: Yeah, I just thought it was so funny how like this British guy goes into an IHOP and goes it's so nice
- 1:47:30Nora: It's so nice
- 1:47:32Video: The world's nicest restaurant
- 1:47:34Video: So nice
- 1:47:36Video: I feel like a little man with my strawberry
- 1:47:38Video: Just want tea?
- 1:47:40Video: The food has just come
- 1:47:41Video: Honestly it took about 5 minutes to come as well
- 1:47:44Video: But we've got pancakes with strawberries and banana
- 1:47:47Video: And then I got caramel sauce
- 1:47:48Video: On the side to pour it on
- 1:47:50Video: I've gone with the breakfast sample so I've got
- 1:47:52Video: Scrambled eggs, sausage, hash brown
- 1:47:54Video: bacon ham and then the ultimate pancakes.
- 1:47:57Video: There's still two minutes left of this.
- 1:48:00Nora: You can definitely, you don't have to watch
- 1:48:02Nora: this whole thing.
- 1:48:02Nora: Just the fact that they were like, this is nice to them.
- 1:48:05Nora: Like, IHOP is nice.
- 1:48:07Chris: I mean, I'm glad that we could provide them
- 1:48:09Chris: that American hospitality that apparently only us,
- 1:48:13Chris: all of the Asian countries,
- 1:48:14Chris: and most of the Middle East also have.
- 1:48:16Nora: Well, the Asian countries and the Middle East
- 1:48:18Mandy: got it from us, so.
- 1:48:20Mandy: I think they need to go to a Waffle House
- 1:48:22Mandy: if they want true Americana.
- 1:48:24Charles: At first when we learned that they didn't have them
- 1:48:26Charles: in Europe for the most part, I was like,
- 1:48:31Charles: are they international?
- 1:48:32Charles: Are they lying?
- 1:48:34Charles: That's the funniest, like when did they start
- 1:48:37Charles: calling themselves the International House of Pancakes?
- 1:48:40Charles: Did they have multiple locations outside of the US
- 1:48:43Charles: before they had that?
- 1:48:45Chris: International House of Pancakes was founded in 1958
- 1:48:49Chris: in Los Angeles.
- 1:48:52Chris: The first locations were in California and it looks like,
- 1:48:56Chris: trying to see when they-
- 1:48:58Chris: Went international?
- 1:48:59Chris: When they went international.
- 1:49:00Nora: I believe the international referenced the kinds of
- 1:49:05Nora: pancakes that they would make.
- 1:49:06Nora: Like a German pancake.
- 1:49:08Nora: Crepe?
- 1:49:08Nora: And like a crepe, yeah.
- 1:49:10Nora: I think that that was-
- 1:49:11Nora: No.
- 1:49:11Nora: That's how I always understood it.
- 1:49:12Mandy: I don't see IHOP doing a Dutch baby anytime soon.
- 1:49:15Mandy: Well, I don't either.
- 1:49:16Chris: And if they did, it would suck.
- 1:49:18Mandy: It would be bad.
- 1:49:19Charles: No, I don't-
- 1:49:20Charles: What do you think?
- 1:49:21Charles: I would agree with you because if that was the case,
- 1:49:22Charles: they would be called themselves
- 1:49:23Charles: the house of international pancakes, right?
- 1:49:26Chris: Those are two different things.
- 1:49:28Chris: IHOP sounds good.
- 1:49:31Chris: Hoip?
- 1:49:31Chris: Hoip doesn't sound very good at all.
- 1:49:34Chris: Let's go to Hoip.
- 1:49:36Chris: Well, what makes, I mean,
- 1:49:37Mandy: I probably called it that after bar hopping for a while.
- 1:49:41Chris: I do not know when they first went international.
- 1:49:45Chris: It looks like the Middle East locations
- 1:49:49Chris: started opening in 2012.
- 1:49:50Chris: I don't know about the South,
- 1:49:53Chris: oh, the South American locations.
- 1:49:55Chris: I'm not. - Or Central American.
- 1:49:57Nora: I'm right.
- 1:49:58Nora: Charles, I'm right.
- 1:49:59Nora: The International House of Pancakes,
- 1:50:00Nora: now originally known, now simply known as IHOP,
- 1:50:02Nora: originally referred to their globally inspired menu
- 1:50:05Nora: rather than all their locations.
- 1:50:07Charles: I hear you, but that's,
- 1:50:08Charles: then they need to be called HOIP.
- 1:50:10Charles: Take it up with HOIP.
- 1:50:11Charles: Everything I do is wrong.
- 1:50:13Charles: (laughing)
- 1:50:14Nora: Okay, I have one more.
- 1:50:15Nora: I have one more.
- 1:50:16Nora: Why is this so entertaining, Charles?
- 1:50:17Nora: One more.
- 1:50:18Nora: (laughing)
- 1:50:19Nora: I had such a bad week.
- 1:50:21Nora: Here's some British people enjoying a seafood boil.
- 1:50:23Chris: Charles, you know this makes it better.
- 1:50:26Chris: No, it does not.
- 1:50:27Mandy: Look, on the upside, you're not gonna get shanked
- 1:50:30Mandy: on your way to the car. - Seafood boil.
- 1:50:33Charles: Seafood boil.
- 1:50:34Charles: Seafood boil. - Seafood boil.
- 1:50:36Charles: Seafood boil.
- 1:50:37Charles: It's our safe word.
- 1:50:38Chris: Seafood boil.
- 1:50:40Chris: Your safe word?
- 1:50:41Chris: What are you doing over there? - Seafood boil!
- 1:50:43Video: I'm listening to your recommendations,
- 1:50:45Video: I'm in Houston, Texas, and we have come to a place
- 1:50:48Video: called Twin Crab, and we're getting a seafood boil.
- 1:50:52Video: We're so excited for this.
- 1:50:53Video: The thing Manny loves to not eat.
- 1:50:55Video: Basically, you just make your own seafood boil.
- 1:50:57Video: So excited.
- 1:50:58Video: Okay.
- 1:50:59Charles: Okay, can we get four of this? - They make their own
- 1:51:01Charles: seafood boil, is that what she said?
- 1:51:03Nora: The restaurant does custom seafood boils.
- 1:51:06Nora: You can do your custom mix.
- 1:51:09Video: A pound of shrimp.
- 1:51:10Video: Want a pound of crab legs?
- 1:51:12Chris: Wait a second, do they know what a pound is?
- 1:51:15Nora: They're doing this for the influence.
- 1:51:16Chris: Okay.
- 1:51:17Video: Four legs each.
- 1:51:18Video: Yes, yeah, yeah.
- 1:51:20Video: Half a pound of scallops.
- 1:51:22Video: Half a pound of sausage.
- 1:51:23Video: Potatoes for corn, and then can I get a boiled egg?
- 1:51:27Video: 12 eggs in.
- 1:51:28Video: Yeah.
- 1:51:29Nora: It's for the table too.
- 1:51:31Video: A couple of them.
- 1:51:32Video: Cajun garlic, okay, yeah, let's do that then.
- 1:51:34Video: Yeah, so we'll get the twin crab house special sauce.
- 1:51:37Video: So can we have it mild, please?
- 1:51:39Video: Thank you.
- 1:51:40Video: So these are gloves, and these are wipes.
- 1:51:43Video: And...
- 1:51:45Nora: Here's my biggest gripe with this.
- 1:51:47Nora: This is hair up activity.
- 1:51:49Nora: Yeah.
- 1:51:50Nora: Her whole head is gonna smell like crab boil
- 1:51:54Nora: until she washes her hair.
- 1:51:58Charles: Oh, that looks so good.
- 1:51:59Mandy: Yeah, I know.
- 1:52:00Mandy: It looks amazing.
- 1:52:02Mandy: It will not taste amazing.
- 1:52:05Mandy: That really does look amazing.
- 1:52:06Charles: I will taste the main thing.
- 1:52:08Mandy: We should do a crawfish boil.
- 1:52:09Charles: Dude, that would be so awesome.
- 1:52:11Charles: Or a boil sometime.
- 1:52:12Mandy: I'd share a boil with you.
- 1:52:13Charles: Brilliant.
- 1:52:15Mandy: The actor and I went for my first crab boil.
- 1:52:19Video: This might be the best thing I've ever eaten.
- 1:52:27Nora: Well, they don't have any flavor in England,
- 1:52:29Nora: so of course a boil is going to be good.
- 1:52:33Video: You know?
- 1:52:35Mandy: I ordered all the stuff, and then also ordered chicken fingers.
- 1:52:39Mandy: [LAUGHTER]
- 1:52:40Mandy: That's true.
- 1:52:41Mandy: I ate chicken fingers.
- 1:52:43Charles: I want a seafood boil right now.
- 1:52:45Mandy: Wait, at least you tried it.
- 1:52:47Mandy: I did try it all.
- 1:52:47Mandy: I did try every single bit of it.
- 1:52:49Mandy: I'm so hungry.
- 1:52:51Mandy: Like, I even tried crappish.
- 1:52:52Mandy: Look at that.
- 1:52:55Charles: All right.
- 1:52:56Charles: All right, we're getting hungry.
- 1:52:57Nora: I need to-
- 1:52:59Nora: So those are all my videos that I wanted to bring to you guys.
- 1:53:05Nora: Just kind of showing off the great American sleepover
