- 0:10SPEAKER_01: If you put a hundred black ants in a jar, and a hundred red ants in a jar, and place it on the counter, nothing will happen.
- 0:22SPEAKER_01: However, if you shake the jar, the ants will start to attack one another and kill each other.
- 0:32SPEAKER_01: The black ants will believe that the red ants are the enemy.
- 0:36SPEAKER_01: While the red ants will believe black ants are the true nemesis.
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: But the real enemy is the person who shook the jar.
- 0:47SPEAKER_01: The same is true in our society.
- 0:50SPEAKER_01: Before we start to fight one another, we must ask ourselves who shook the jar?
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: The current climate right now in the United States is what some would call hostile, maybe even toxic.
- 1:07SPEAKER_01: Democrats against Republicans, atheists against Christians, men against women, blacks against white.
- 1:15SPEAKER_01: But where do these origins of these inner fighting truly come from?
- 1:20SPEAKER_01: Is the reason truly that we just can't get along?
- 1:24SPEAKER_01: Or is there actually something else pulling the puppet strings behind the curtain that we do not want to acknowledge as being real?
- 1:35SPEAKER_01: If you think that things are just the way they are, only because of common disagreements, I'm afraid you're mistaken.
- 1:43SPEAKER_01: Right now, a different type of war is taking place, and it's among conservatives in this Republican Civil War, as they call it.
- 1:52SPEAKER_01: It's the neocons versus America first, old Republicans that tilt old Bush doctrine, and those that are populists wanting America to remain sovereign in a world that wants globalism.
- 2:08SPEAKER_01: Everybody, welcome to the Goon Tavern.
- 2:38SPEAKER_01: Yes, everybody.
- 2:41SPEAKER_01: Thank you, thank you again, once again tuning in.
- 2:45SPEAKER_01: And we want to thank all of our followers and listeners.
- 2:48SPEAKER_01: And speaking of following, we definitely recommend you if you like what you hear, if you are enjoying these various different topics that we have and episodes, give us a follow.
- 3:02SPEAKER_01: And at the same time, leave a comment, whether it's good, negative, tell me how you hate my guts, that you think I should die a slow, painful death.
- 3:10SPEAKER_01: I don't care, even if it's positive or negative.
- 3:13SPEAKER_01: And at the same time, be sure that some of our episodes we do have polls and you can actually answer those questions because we like to know your feedback.
- 3:21SPEAKER_01: Tell us what you like, tell us what you don't like, tell us that you suck, you should go back to doing your day job, whatever it might be, that is totally fine.
- 3:30SPEAKER_01: And right now we are going to discuss basically ants in a jar, and basically the common thing that is happening right now in the American Republican Civil War, as they call it.
- 3:43SPEAKER_01: And as we mentioned in our opening uh comments, there is it's a mix of things.
- 3:50SPEAKER_01: I think there is some in-house fighting, but there really is some things that need to be tackled in terms of where the Republican Party is going.
- 3:59SPEAKER_01: And I'm personally not registered Republican, I am independent, and I know some might say it's like that's neutral and maybe not as effective as some would think, but at the same time, it more has to do with that at some point you got to realize that party loyalty doesn't always solve the problem.
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: I think sometimes that gives more power to one group over the other rather than actually just wanting people to run our country that are going to be the best solution.
- 4:32SPEAKER_01: And the Zen fighting that is taking place right now.
- 4:35SPEAKER_01: I don't really want this to be necessarily this idea of like punching right.
- 4:39SPEAKER_01: That's not what this is.
- 4:40SPEAKER_01: But it's really to just ask some truthful, honest questions of what is going on in the current climate of conservatism right now.
- 4:49SPEAKER_01: Because the question needs to be asked what is true conservatism today?
- 4:54SPEAKER_01: You have it where you might have some that are basically neocons and they think that we are supposed to fight endless wars or support any country that comes across the bill and send money to foreign nations that probably really we claim there are allies, but really do they do anything for us?
- 5:14SPEAKER_01: And the question is, too, America, we can't afford it, we don't have any money.
- 5:20SPEAKER_01: Some of these things we wanted to jump into, and first, like where we gotta start, which makes sense, is basically Trump is obviously an ongoing influence.
- 5:32SPEAKER_01: There's no denying that he has really revamped the party since his first term, and even after nearly six years of office, he remains the most influential figure in the Republican politics and in the ranks.
- 5:47SPEAKER_01: And some of the main things that are obvious, okay, his endorsements still heavily impact primary races.
- 5:53SPEAKER_01: Candidates often align themselves closely with his messaging as well, and large portions of the voter base remain loyal to him.
- 6:03SPEAKER_01: And it makes sense.
- 6:04SPEAKER_01: If you have someone that is the most influential person and has the biggest voice, naturally everyone's gonna rally around that around that because that is the best shot that they have to actually winning and having their ideas be put forth.
- 6:19SPEAKER_01: But there also has to be some truth in terms of with President Trump himself and how some of this is my opinion, but not just mine, but countless others that have brought a very, very thoughtful and I think fair questions to ask.
- 6:34SPEAKER_01: Is Trump the leader of the party in everything, or is it by name only?
- 6:40SPEAKER_01: Or is the party eventually going to move beyond him?
- 6:44SPEAKER_01: I think eventually it will, in a way, move beyond him, but I think he'll still have huge influence.
- 6:49SPEAKER_01: I don't think Donald Trump is going away anytime soon, even after his last term.
- 6:54SPEAKER_01: I'll be honest though, I'd think Trump 2.0 hasn't impressed me like his first term, I'd have to say.
- 7:01SPEAKER_01: The biggest thing first to hit on that there's been in the ranks of different and opposition in the Republican Party has to do with mass deportation.
- 7:12SPEAKER_01: I quote Trump, okay.
- 7:14SPEAKER_01: On wait, I gotta do this, I gotta do this in my Trump voice.
- 7:17SPEAKER_00: Hold on one second.
- 7:19SPEAKER_00: On day one, I will launch the largest deportation in the US history.
- 7:28SPEAKER_01: And that's just end of quote, okay.
- 7:32SPEAKER_01: But the numbers do not really quite show that.
- 7:35SPEAKER_01: And I have to be I'm sheepish to even look at these numbers.
- 7:39SPEAKER_01: But if you look at the average numbers per year when you have other presidents, President Barack Obama's average was 375,000 per year.
- 7:50SPEAKER_01: Donald Trump's first term was 300,000, a little bit behind, not as much.
- 7:55SPEAKER_01: And then this is shocking.
- 7:57SPEAKER_01: Under President Joe Biden, surprisingly, it was 600 to 700,000 average per year.
- 8:05SPEAKER_01: And under Donald Trump's second term, and obviously we got to be fair, it's only 1.5 years in, he's leading about at 400,000 to about 600,000 per year.
- 8:17SPEAKER_01: So he's doing a little bit better in his second term, but to be fair, Biden was a lot higher than Donald Trump, and Obama was as well.
- 8:29SPEAKER_01: And there's also been a little bit of uh like peddling back, Donald Trump talking about how he's focusing mostly on the criminals and not people that are here that want a better life.
- 8:39SPEAKER_01: And it's okay.
- 8:40SPEAKER_01: Is that kind of false advertising?
- 8:42SPEAKER_01: Is that really true?
- 8:44SPEAKER_01: Is he really doing the mass deportations that he has promised?
- 8:47SPEAKER_01: And some would argue that answer is no, okay.
- 8:51SPEAKER_01: Now, the other thing that's a little frustrating is also his kind of support for H1B1 visas and stuff.
- 8:58SPEAKER_01: You have that as well.
- 8:59SPEAKER_01: That's problematic because that does take away jobs from hardworking Americans that want to come here and work.
- 9:07SPEAKER_01: The other thing I would say as well that has been frustrating within the party itself is the whole idea of this new Iran war that's turn currently taking place.
- 9:16SPEAKER_01: We were told no new wars.
- 9:18SPEAKER_01: Now, granted, yes, has some things changed over time?
- 9:22SPEAKER_01: And that would be fine.
- 9:23SPEAKER_01: I would have no problem if Donald Trump changed his policy or his mind when it came to Iran, if it was just communicated that way.
- 9:33SPEAKER_01: But uh Donald Trump, to be fair, he doesn't really like admitting when he's wrong.
- 9:38SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 9:39SPEAKER_01: The other thing, too, that is a little bit frustrating about Donald Trump is that you have people that supported him, wanted him to be run for office, to be president again.
- 9:49SPEAKER_01: And Donald Trump, the second you either question any of his policies, immediately will throw you under the bus.
- 9:58SPEAKER_01: Now, granted, I have good friends, and there would be times where we agree on probably 90% or 98% of things, especially when it comes to politics.
- 10:08SPEAKER_01: But that 2%, I'm not gonna throw my friend under the bus and take it personally because they might say, Well, Jamin, I don't agree with you on this policy or your thoughts on this particular issue.
- 10:20SPEAKER_01: I wouldn't take it personally.
- 10:21SPEAKER_01: And I wouldn't really like just start tweeting people and start calling them names, which is you had people like Candace Owen and Nick Fuentes, and you also have people like Tucker Carlson that were people that were huge supporters of President Trump.
- 10:36SPEAKER_01: But of course, he's very quick to throw people under the bus because they might have some current disagreement with his current strategies.
- 10:45SPEAKER_01: And I think that just doesn't look good for the president, honestly.
- 10:49SPEAKER_01: I think that's something he needs to look at.
- 10:51SPEAKER_01: I think it's a blind spot of his.
- 10:53SPEAKER_01: The other thing that is a part of this whole infighting that's taking place is you have establishment versus populist wing.
- 11:02SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 11:02SPEAKER_01: There's a clear divide between traditional Republicans and the newer populist movement.
- 11:08SPEAKER_01: On one side, you obviously have the longtime lawmakers and institutional conservatives.
- 11:14SPEAKER_01: So that would be obviously Lindsey Graham, Mitch McConnell, these dinosaurs that have been in there since the beginning of time.
- 11:21SPEAKER_01: Mitch McConnell, who freezes like a computer when he's asked a question.
- 11:26SPEAKER_01: Basically, our number one priority is going to be Ukraine.
- 11:30SPEAKER_01: That is the Republicans' stance.
- 11:33SPEAKER_01: Really?
- 11:33SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 11:33SPEAKER_01: And then, of course, the it's amazing to me that these people will say things like this.
- 11:38SPEAKER_01: Their number one priority.
- 11:39SPEAKER_01: If anyone, I don't care who it is, and Ted Cruz unfortunately has really dropped the ball on this.
- 11:44SPEAKER_01: And I he's the only candidate that I actually sent money to, to be honest.
- 11:48SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 11:49SPEAKER_01: And this is when he was running against President Trump, who Trump at the time, who's now president.
- 11:54SPEAKER_01: And I honestly think that this is just frustrating because there is this inconsistency of you say you are a senator of America, but when you say things that like this is my first priority, and it's another country that comes out of your mouth, I don't care what country it is.
- 12:15SPEAKER_01: If it's Israel, Ukraine, or Venezuela, or any other European country, that is just absolutely ridiculous.
- 12:24SPEAKER_01: You represent America.
- 12:27SPEAKER_01: That is your first priority and nothing else.
- 12:31SPEAKER_01: But we have a lot of people that are still stuck in the stone age, pretty much, with this ideology that basically if we don't bless Israel or if we don't do what Israel says, America is going to be crushed, which I don't believe because America has been around long before Israel became a nation again in 1948.
- 12:50SPEAKER_01: And that's a whole nother episode as well that we'll have and discuss that as far as what the Bible has to do with it.
- 12:56SPEAKER_01: But some of the lifelong lawmakers and also conservative influential people that are like on the wayside and becoming not as popular as they used to be.
- 13:05SPEAKER_01: Ben Shapiro would be on that list, Mark Levin would be another one.
- 13:09SPEAKER_01: And I would say, like, both these gentlemen are people that I admired, and I actually enjoyed watching them debate and their passion that came from it.
- 13:17SPEAKER_01: But it's become this idea pretty much as any criticism of Israel is automatically anti-Semitic.
- 13:23SPEAKER_01: And I just don't really agree with that.
- 13:25SPEAKER_01: And I think it's also just bucking for power.
- 13:27SPEAKER_01: I think since Charlie Kirk died, that has been a huge thing that has taken place within the party.
- 13:33SPEAKER_01: Everyone is trying to get to that top rung.
- 13:36SPEAKER_01: And yes, you have to be fair.
- 13:39SPEAKER_00: Because I know we like to criticize people.
- 13:41SPEAKER_00: Oh, they're just doing it for clicks because they get clicks.
- 13:44SPEAKER_00: And when they get their little clicks, then they get their little money that goes into their accounts, and then all of a sudden they think that they are the top dog because they're making so much money through click click.
- 13:56SPEAKER_01: But the thing is, really, it's not really so much about the clicks, really.
- 14:00SPEAKER_01: Everyone makes money because they are actually their influencers, and they make money off of writing articles and they make money off of interviews and they make money off of podcasts and they make money off of doing videos and posting things on YouTube.
- 14:15SPEAKER_01: Everybody does that.
- 14:16SPEAKER_01: So when people want to use that, like you just said that to get money, of course, because what am I doing right now?
- 14:22SPEAKER_01: I'm obviously covering a topic because I want people to listen to it because I know people are interested in it.
- 14:27SPEAKER_01: That's just common sense.
- 14:28SPEAKER_01: That's called capitalism, baby.
- 14:30SPEAKER_01: Anyway, but on the other side, you obviously have the anti-establishment voices, which are pushing.
- 14:38SPEAKER_01: You have Tucker Carlson, Nick Ferwentes would be one of it, Candace Owens.
- 14:41SPEAKER_01: And granted, everyone's going to have an opinion of all three P of those people, of good or bad.
- 14:46SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 14:47SPEAKER_01: And some of the key tension is obviously like you have compromise versus confrontation.
- 14:52SPEAKER_01: And so some people accuse the others like you're compromising America because of your ideas.
- 14:57SPEAKER_01: And some people say, no, you're the one that's compromising people because of your ideas.
- 15:01SPEAKER_01: And the question we have to ask ourselves is the government effectiveness now seen as basically like weakness?
- 15:09SPEAKER_01: Is that really actually taking place?
- 15:11SPEAKER_01: Andor has the party basically shifted on their foreign policy?
- 15:17SPEAKER_01: And so those are some in-house fighting that's taken place.
- 15:21SPEAKER_01: The other thing that's happening a lot as well is spending and physical, physical identity.
- 15:29SPEAKER_01: Because for decades, the Republicans were known for physical conservatism.
- 15:35SPEAKER_01: But now it's like each party spends as much money as the other.
- 15:40SPEAKER_01: They are drunken sailors with a maxed-out credit card that they keep on basically borrowing another credit card to pay off that debt to get more money to spend that we do not have.
- 15:53SPEAKER_01: And they pass it on to you.
- 15:55SPEAKER_01: That's right.
- 15:56SPEAKER_01: You, the American taxpayer that is working your butt off to try to make ends meet and trying to save up for a house where every single time and every single day, it basically gets further and further away from you in terms of reach.
- 16:11SPEAKER_01: And so some of the key things that are taking place right now as far as are disagreements over government spending and debt ceilings, eternal fights over budgets and shutdown risk.
- 16:24SPEAKER_01: And of course, the common thing that always comes is like we cannot continue to spend money we don't have.
- 16:30SPEAKER_01: But yet they gladly will spend money that we don't have.
- 16:34SPEAKER_01: And it's so reckless to the American people.
- 16:39SPEAKER_01: And it's also reckless to the American dream because we are already, what are we at,$38 trillion in debt, I think, right now.
- 16:47SPEAKER_01: And let's just be fair, I know it's easy during political points to say they've spent this money, and then the next group says, Oh, they spent this money.
- 16:55SPEAKER_01: And we can argue all day about who spends the most money and who spends it the most stupidly.
- 16:59SPEAKER_01: But I don't know if stupidly is a word, but I just made it out.
- 17:04SPEAKER_01: But you have to realize that conservatives are no better when it comes to the spending habits of the government.
- 17:14SPEAKER_01: And it's a huge problem.
- 17:15SPEAKER_01: We cannot have it where every time it becomes this we don't want to shut down the government, so we gotta vote for this to get it going.
- 17:23SPEAKER_01: Now, granted, both parties will play that game to get what they want at certain periods and times.
- 17:28SPEAKER_01: I think a lot of times what happens is a lot of politicians are very good at pretty much playing the game of pretending to care about an issue.
- 17:41SPEAKER_01: But when they have power, they don't do anything.
- 17:44SPEAKER_01: They kick the can down the road because if they fix it, they have nothing to run on when they come up for re-election.
- 17:53SPEAKER_01: And so the same thing happens with a lot of the conservatives, and if you want to call them conservatives, but the Republicans need to get back to their roots and just say no to this ridiculous spending.
- 18:07SPEAKER_01: And President Donald Trump has signed a lot of these bills, okay, and these budgets.
- 18:12SPEAKER_01: So uh it's problematic with within himself.
- 18:15SPEAKER_01: And I understand it's very easy to think we don't care who has the purse as long as it's our guy in charge.
- 18:21SPEAKER_01: And is that really still helping?
- 18:24SPEAKER_01: Because we are still spending money that we do not have.
- 18:27SPEAKER_01: And when we spend money we do not have, it causes inflation, it causes costs to go up, and it also makes us more vulnerable to our debts, and it also pushes other countries to want to get off the US dollar as the reserve currency.
- 18:44SPEAKER_01: And you have BRICS, which is formed, which is basically a number of countries that have gotten off or trying to get off the US dollar and have it where they have gold, which is actually real currency and not just paper money that is worth nothing.
- 19:00SPEAKER_01: We can all thank Richard Nixon for that in the 70s for taking us off the complete gold standard, which was absolutely foolish and stupid.
- 19:09SPEAKER_01: And the thing is, is physical conservatism still the backbone of the party?
- 19:14SPEAKER_01: And I would say it's not, and I don't think it has been for some time, actually.
- 19:17SPEAKER_01: I would say maybe where that shift star took place, I would say probably around President Bill Clinton, probably around there it started to chain.
- 19:25SPEAKER_01: And I don't think it's a priority.
- 19:27SPEAKER_01: I don't think any side of the coin, either party, really cares about the debt right now.
- 19:34SPEAKER_01: It's just a no non-existent issue right now.
- 19:38SPEAKER_01: The other thing that is a huge conflict right now within the party, the Republican Party, is obviously foreign policy divide.
- 19:47SPEAKER_01: And a major factor as well is America's role in the world as a question that needs to be answered and has to be asked.
- 19:56SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 19:57SPEAKER_01: You obviously have a lot of things like everyone's arguing about the support of Ukraine or global alliances.
- 20:04SPEAKER_01: You have support either for Israel, you have this Iran war that is taking place right now.
- 20:09SPEAKER_01: And the divide is, of course, you have some Republicans support continued international involvement, and others argue for a more America-first approach.
- 20:21SPEAKER_01: A new candidate who I've been following, candidate Fishback in Florida.
- 20:26SPEAKER_01: And of course, establishment fights people like Fishback.
- 20:29SPEAKER_01: And I find it interesting because Fishback, of course, is he wants to put Florida first, of course.
- 20:35SPEAKER_01: Part of his thing that he said is that he was gonna, there's something I think it's like about$300 million that Florida gives to Israel, and he wants to take that back and give that to families so that they can purchase their first homes instead as a tax credit.
- 20:52SPEAKER_01: And the question would that be is like, is that terrible?
- 20:56SPEAKER_01: Is that a bad thing?
- 20:58SPEAKER_01: But surprisingly, Trump is not backing fish back at all.
- 21:02SPEAKER_01: And so again, Trump has a lot of influence of who he picks, usually wins most of the time, but not all the time per se.
- 21:12SPEAKER_01: But it's definitely an influence.
- 21:14SPEAKER_01: And I think what's interesting is like Trump ran on this concept of America first.
- 21:19SPEAKER_01: And I think it's a fair question to ask.
- 21:22SPEAKER_01: Because for me, I can't help but look at situations like we can take out the leader of Venezuela, we can take out the leadership in Iran.
- 21:31SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, okay, it's great that all these other countries are being liberated.
- 21:35SPEAKER_01: When do we get liberated?
- 21:37SPEAKER_01: Because currently, right now, we have fraud in Minnesota, we have fraud in California, we have many politicians that are pretty much traitors to our own nation.
- 21:47SPEAKER_01: Nobody's going to jail, no one has been tried.
- 21:50SPEAKER_01: If I have to hear one more time, so and so has been brought before a committee, so and so has been indicted, so and so has been subpoenaed, it means nothing.
- 21:59SPEAKER_01: It's garbage.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: It's all empty words.
- 22:02SPEAKER_01: And we are sick and tired of the GOP's empty promises, pretending like they actually care about justice when they do nothing.
- 22:09SPEAKER_01: They sit on their thumbs and do nothing.
- 22:14SPEAKER_01: And we have it right now, pretty much.
- 22:17SPEAKER_01: Like a lot of people like would especially like getting back to like foreign policy, okay?
- 22:22SPEAKER_01: You have it where people accuse, okay, are you an isolationalist?
- 22:27SPEAKER_01: I don't think that isolationalism means that okay, we do not ever consider ourselves concern ourselves with things that are going in different countries.
- 22:37SPEAKER_01: The question though that does need to be asked though, is every problem our problem?
- 22:43SPEAKER_01: And I think that is a fair question too.
- 22:46SPEAKER_01: I personally look at it this way our range of what's our problem has to do with what's south of us and north of us the most.
- 22:58SPEAKER_01: Canada and Mexico, and probably parts of South America, and we also have probably the Caribbean, okay?
- 23:05SPEAKER_01: Those are close to our regions, those are close to our nation, they have probably more influence and we have more trade involved in those countries than we ever do with the Middle East, with Europe, anything like that.
- 23:19SPEAKER_01: I look at this, okay?
- 23:21SPEAKER_01: I think if Israel needs help, they should pay for it, okay?
- 23:26SPEAKER_01: If Ukraine needs help, they should pay for it.
- 23:29SPEAKER_01: We are done having to shell out all this money to these foreign countries just because for the sake of their allies.
- 23:37SPEAKER_01: We can't help everyone, especially if we have a debt problem.
- 23:41SPEAKER_01: We don't have money to give, even if we wanted to.
- 23:44SPEAKER_01: It's the same as if a dad had a family to provide for, and the neighbor asks him for milk, and so he takes the milk out of the fridge, which is supposed to feed his family, and he gives it to the neighbor's kids so that they can have some milk.
- 24:00SPEAKER_01: That is what America is doing right now.
- 24:02SPEAKER_01: That's what I look at it like.
- 24:04SPEAKER_01: And we can all argue about the idea of we we biblically have to support Israel or we have to come to the aid of Ukraine.
- 24:12SPEAKER_01: But Europe is doing jack crap, nothing.
- 24:16SPEAKER_01: Europe is very classic with the idea of pretty much they whine when America gets involved, but they whine when they want America to get involved.
- 24:24SPEAKER_01: And then we do get involved, and then we just get criticized for it again and again.
- 24:28SPEAKER_01: And I don't know when the GOP is gonna start realizing that we need to take care of us.
- 24:34SPEAKER_01: I don't care about Venezuela, I don't care about Iran, I don't care about Ukraine, and I don't care about Israel.
- 24:40SPEAKER_01: And as far as like Iran, which is a whole nother topic, but I'll say something real quick on it, okay?
- 24:46SPEAKER_01: We went to Iran, we bombed their nuclear facilities, okay.
- 24:50SPEAKER_01: Trump toted as this is the greatest thing, we're all done, our military is amazing, thought everything was cool, right?
- 24:57SPEAKER_00: And then a couple months later, nope, we gotta go back in there, we gotta go in there, we're gonna truly take them out.
- 25:03SPEAKER_00: We're not gonna make sure that they have a nuclear weapon.
- 25:07SPEAKER_01: And so I'm wait, I thought we took out their entire facility.
- 25:12SPEAKER_01: So, why is it that we are going back?
- 25:17SPEAKER_01: And I don't think that's been explained to us very well.
- 25:21SPEAKER_01: And I think that's why a lot of people have questions about the war, as do I.
- 25:25SPEAKER_01: And we're not hearing a lot of information about what is going on, and it's a little bit confusing because it feels like mixed signals, and I think that's fair.
- 25:35SPEAKER_01: That's not to mean that we do I want Iran to have a nuclear weapon?
- 25:39SPEAKER_01: No, I don't.
- 25:41SPEAKER_01: But the question has to be is when I hear rhetoric that sounds very similar to the Iraq war, sound familiar.
- 25:50SPEAKER_01: Let's just think about this, okay?
- 25:52SPEAKER_01: Let us say, okay, mass weapons of mass destruction, we have to go into Iraq.
- 25:57SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 25:59SPEAKER_01: We go into Iraq, we don't find anything there.
- 26:01SPEAKER_01: We go into this really long war, we spend lots of money, thousands of people die, and we find out that it was a waste.
- 26:07SPEAKER_01: And then on top of it, the Patriot Act gets passed, which is also not good.
- 26:11SPEAKER_01: And we still tend to think that we understand how we can just take out the Middle East and we can actually change things, and we can do regime change, which Trump seemed to make it sound like he didn't want regime change, but it seems like that's what's happened.
- 26:27SPEAKER_01: And it doesn't seem like the Iranians have really rose up to really actually take on this task as was hoped for, and it's being carried out.
- 26:37SPEAKER_01: And you gotta understand, okay, these are Muslim countries.
- 26:41SPEAKER_01: Muslim countries do not care if they die, they do not care if their people suffer, they do not care if everyone, like men, women, and children, they all die.
- 26:50SPEAKER_01: They don't care.
- 26:51SPEAKER_01: They believe in jihad, they believe that they will fight to the last man standing.
- 26:57SPEAKER_01: The answer to all this, you either bring back the crusades, you fight Muslims like they believe, which they will die for anything, and you have to wipe them out.
- 27:07SPEAKER_01: Yes, I said it.
- 27:08SPEAKER_01: Because you cannot play this little uh foot game under the table, expecting that this is actually gonna go anywhere, unless you really are going to go for the long haul.
- 27:19SPEAKER_01: Unless you're willing to bring back the crusades, I don't want any of us in the Middle East.
- 27:24SPEAKER_01: It's a waste of time.
- 27:25SPEAKER_01: Either you wipe out Islam in a crusade like we did back when they were fighting Europe and trying to take over Europe for 700 years before you finally got the balls to actually say, nope, enough with you, Islam.
- 27:39SPEAKER_01: We're going to take it back.
- 27:40SPEAKER_01: But that's not going to take place.
- 27:42SPEAKER_01: Trump's policy is not going to do that.
- 27:45SPEAKER_01: He unfortunately still thinks that if I just bomb the crap at him, eventually they'll stop.
- 27:49SPEAKER_01: No, they won't until you really do kill them all.
- 27:52SPEAKER_01: And we're not ready for guerrilla warfare.
- 27:54SPEAKER_01: We're not ready to put boots on the ground because we all know it gets messy.
- 27:59SPEAKER_01: It's the same thing that happened with Vietnam, and we don't want it to happen again.
- 28:03SPEAKER_01: Iraq was the same way.
- 28:04SPEAKER_01: Once it goes into a guerrilla war tactics, it is a long-haul, grueling, tough fight.
- 28:12SPEAKER_01: It's not going to be ended quickly.
- 28:14SPEAKER_01: Anyone can bomb something.
- 28:16SPEAKER_01: That's the easy part.
- 28:19SPEAKER_01: But on to another part that we have right now.
- 28:22SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 28:22SPEAKER_01: You also have primaries and party purity right now, is another thing.
- 28:27SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 28:28SPEAKER_01: So you have incumbents are being challenged from within, which I think is a good thing.
- 28:32SPEAKER_01: I think a lot of these old GOP dinosaurs that have been in there for way too long are just not helpful.
- 28:39SPEAKER_01: They're not fresh with ideas, they're out of touch with their constituents, they do not understand what's going on.
- 28:45SPEAKER_01: People like Lindsey Graham, who pretty much, you know, basically gets excited anytime there's a war that's about to happen, he's always on board.
- 28:54SPEAKER_01: And uh the thing is, I don't think the party should become ideologically strict per se.
- 28:58SPEAKER_01: Oh, you always have to agree with these things in order to like play with us kind of thing, but it becomes that, unfortunately.
- 29:04SPEAKER_01: Anytime someone within the ranks actually questions or has some actually good, solid, fair criticism of the party, it becomes they are basically the black sheep of the family, pretty much.
- 29:18SPEAKER_01: So the other thing that is a fair question to ask as well, right now, you also have to ask the question like, okay, the future of the GOP.
- 29:27SPEAKER_01: Who is gonna lead this after Trump leads?
- 29:30SPEAKER_01: Is it gonna be JD Vance?
- 29:32SPEAKER_01: Is JD Vance our man?
- 29:34SPEAKER_01: Are there problematic things about him?
- 29:36SPEAKER_01: And some have some criticism of JD Vance that maybe he's not who he says he is.
- 29:41SPEAKER_01: Maybe he's not exactly as sharp as we like to think he is.
- 29:46SPEAKER_01: Is he really a different version of Trump or does he have his own agenda?
- 29:52SPEAKER_01: And granted, I'm not saying to like get into like conspiracies and all that stuff.
- 29:57SPEAKER_01: There has to be some like real questions when it comes to the Republican Party.
- 30:02SPEAKER_01: And the party is changing demographically and ideologically in some ways, especially when it comes to moral values, when it comes to traditional marriage.
- 30:10SPEAKER_01: It used to have a traditional marriage between one man and one woman, used to be a part of the platform, it's not in there anymore.
- 30:16SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 30:17SPEAKER_01: The other one is terms of they're becoming more soft when it comes to abortion.
- 30:21SPEAKER_01: It used to have some very clear distinctions of pro-life, and now it's just basically a few sentences.
- 30:28SPEAKER_01: And I don't think that these are issues that need that are basically going to be brushed aside and forgotten.
- 30:35SPEAKER_01: And I don't think they should be.
- 30:36SPEAKER_01: I think we should ask ourselves, what is conservatism?
- 30:41SPEAKER_01: Because when you have it where when you have it where Jordan Peterson is interviewing, I forget his name, it's the gay conservative with his gay lover.
- 30:50SPEAKER_01: Okay, and he's talking about, yeah, we do uh breast milk when we do a skin to skin contact, and Jordan Peterson is all talking to him like a normal Schmo.
- 30:59SPEAKER_01: Oh, that's good.
- 30:59SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, I I think that's a good thing to do.
- 31:02SPEAKER_01: What are we doing here, people?
- 31:04SPEAKER_01: These people are not allies of conservatism, and I don't believe in this idea.
- 31:10SPEAKER_01: I think the same even happened one time with Charlie Kirk, okay.
- 31:14SPEAKER_01: He was asked this one gut kid came up and he was like saying, Oh, I'm gay and I'm conservative.
- 31:18SPEAKER_01: Is there room for me in the party?
- 31:21SPEAKER_01: And of course, Charlie Kirk says, Yes, there is room for you, but here's the problem, okay?
- 31:26SPEAKER_01: If you have these people that are basically leaving the Democratic Party, and that's good that they're coming around to realizing that their party has gone cuckoo, okay?
- 31:36SPEAKER_01: At the same time, though, don't come into our party expecting that you're gonna bring your perversions, your filth, and everything else, and then claim and put a stamp on it and say, Oh, you're conservative like the rest of us.
- 31:49SPEAKER_01: I think there's a big difference between a Republican Party and what a conservative is.
- 31:53SPEAKER_01: And we don't ask the question pretty much, what is conservatism?
- 31:56SPEAKER_01: We're gonna fight ourselves a lot, and that's what's happening right now.
- 32:02SPEAKER_01: Because the fight for the Republican Party right now has to do after it, it I would say it stems from when Charlie Kirk was killed.
- 32:10SPEAKER_01: Everyone is bucking for the position of leading the party, and of course, Trump is that for right now to a large extent, but once he his term is over, it's gonna become basically he's gonna be a part of it, but who's gonna take on the reins is a very big question.
- 32:30SPEAKER_01: And I personally think that what we need right now is America first candidates that are not going to accept lobbying, they're not gonna accept this idea of multiple wars, they're not gonna accept this awful spending habits that we have as a nation right now that is bankrupting us into oblivion, and also some real deportations.
- 32:54SPEAKER_01: I'm sorry, I think Trump for saying this is gonna be the biggest ever, I'm a little disappointed.
- 32:59SPEAKER_01: I think it needs to be ramped up.
- 33:01SPEAKER_01: I think we need to have it where we take care of Americans in that sense.
- 33:06SPEAKER_01: Anyone that is here illegally should be removed.
- 33:09SPEAKER_01: I don't care if you're a criminal or not.
- 33:10SPEAKER_01: And of course, I laugh when people say what is a criminal and what's not.
- 33:14SPEAKER_01: So if you came here illegally, I don't care if you committed actual crime, you already did from being here illegally.
- 33:19SPEAKER_01: Everyone that's here illegally is a criminal.
- 33:22SPEAKER_01: End of story.
- 33:24SPEAKER_01: There is no ifs, ands, maybes, or buts.
- 33:26SPEAKER_01: That is just the fact of reality.
- 33:29SPEAKER_01: And my fiance just got in a couple weeks ago, and we did everything legally, and that's the way it should be done.
- 33:37SPEAKER_01: And so I have zero tolerance for people that want to give me these sob stories and basically just make it where I feel guilty for basically wanting things done according to the law.
- 33:49SPEAKER_01: And what is happening right now is like you have Republicans going soft on these issues that they once were very strong on.
- 33:56SPEAKER_01: And I think Trump talked a big game, but I just I'm hoping he comes around.
- 34:02SPEAKER_01: I like to see some bigger changes when it comes to the Fed.
- 34:06SPEAKER_01: I don't know if that's ever going to happen, of course.
- 34:09SPEAKER_01: But the Republican Party, of course, is at a crossroads, and uh not only between the leadership battles that are taking place, ideological shifts, and competing visions for the future, one thing is clear.
- 34:24SPEAKER_01: This isn't just about politics as user, this is a fight over identity, and how it plays out will shape not just the party, but American politics as a whole.
- 34:34SPEAKER_01: And so the question needs to be asked what are the main things that we really need as Americans right now?
- 34:42SPEAKER_01: And the question is, I don't think going back to the old Bush styles is gonna work, nor is it gonna be helpful going forward.
- 34:51SPEAKER_01: I don't see that helping at all.
- 34:55SPEAKER_01: And it's gonna take some time.
- 34:57SPEAKER_01: And you obviously have the midterms coming up, and I don't know if that's probably part of the reason why Trump started going a little soft and backing off of the whole ice raids.
- 35:06SPEAKER_01: But the problem is when you back off from what you say you're going to do, your followers are going to start to question if you really mean what you say.
- 35:16SPEAKER_01: And right now, you have a lot of Republicans that give a lot of lip service, but at the same time, they're not really putting America first.
- 35:24SPEAKER_01: The Democrats are a whole fruit basket on their own.
- 35:28SPEAKER_01: And I there's no one on that side that I really think is even helpful.
- 35:33SPEAKER_01: But we got to get away from this idea that if we just vote for this party to keep this other party at bay, that will be enough.
- 35:41SPEAKER_01: But we got to stop electing Republicans to just be the finger in the dam and actually fix the dam completely.
- 35:50SPEAKER_01: Because eventually the dam's gonna break, and eventually people are gonna lose interest and they're not gonna want to vote.
- 35:57SPEAKER_01: Because part of this has also happened in the UK because the Conservative Party has become just following staggeredly behind the labor party that has taken place there.
- 36:10SPEAKER_01: And so it's basically just a matter of time that this could be the same thing for the Republican Party with Democrats.
- 36:19SPEAKER_01: And like they're going soft on homosexuality, like they're going soft on abortion, like they're going soft even on when it comes to like feminism, okay?
- 36:28SPEAKER_01: Because you have a lot of conservative leadership women that claim to be feminist when they're really not.
- 36:34SPEAKER_01: They're just basically these trad con wannabes that really are not at all about traditional values because they don't promote traditional values, they don't conserve anything.
- 36:48SPEAKER_01: If you want to claim to be conservative, you have to ask yourself the question what is it you are conserving?
- 36:55SPEAKER_01: And I think right now the question for us is not doing business as usual and voting for the typical candidate that has the R behind their name because we want to keep the D at bay on the other side.
- 37:10SPEAKER_01: We need to be way more proactive and actually pushing the envelope for better candidates that are going to actually push a real America first agenda.
- 37:22SPEAKER_01: And I would say, like right now, if you're listening, especially in Florida, I would say push for fishback because I like a lot of what he's saying and I like a lot of what he is wanting to do.
- 37:34SPEAKER_01: And I think right now the reason why Trump was popular is because he was an outsider.
- 37:41SPEAKER_01: He wasn't a part of the establishment, and that's who we need to have in place right now, all across the board, honestly.
- 37:48SPEAKER_01: We want it everywhere, we don't want it to have it just be in one specific area.
- 37:55SPEAKER_01: And we need to think bigger than the idea of just senator and house majority leader or whatever.
- 38:02SPEAKER_01: We need to also think about our city council.
- 38:05SPEAKER_01: You need to think about also your school boards, you also have your mayor start within your local community, and then that will be then eventually branch out into bigger spheres.
- 38:19SPEAKER_01: I think sometimes it's very easy.
- 38:20SPEAKER_01: Oh, I voted for president, and that's gonna change anything.
- 38:23SPEAKER_01: It's not to say the president doesn't have any influence, but you have to start in your own backyard and realizing that's where it's gonna really affect your wallet and your spending.
- 38:34SPEAKER_01: When you have it where your mayor is smart with your money, that saves you money on your state taxes and vice versa.
- 38:41SPEAKER_01: You have to do groundworks, we have to start actually encouraging people within our church to run for office.
- 38:47SPEAKER_01: We have to have it where we actually rally around people when they want to run for office and from church that have biblical world views that they want to apply to their politics because that is the right thing to do.
- 39:01SPEAKER_01: And I think that's where we will actually see some good traction.
- 39:06SPEAKER_01: But in the meantime, if we keep on having this attitude like, if I vote for this person, then so and so is gonna win.
- 39:13SPEAKER_01: I know I don't want them to win, so I guess I gotta vote for so-and-so.
- 39:17SPEAKER_01: And obviously, you have to hold your nose while you're at the ballot because you realize that this isn't the best person.
- 39:24SPEAKER_01: Well, maybe that best person is the person listening right now.
- 39:28SPEAKER_01: Maybe you're the person that's supposed to run for city council, or maybe mayor, or maybe on the school board.
- 39:34SPEAKER_01: Yes, it's gonna be hard, it's gonna take sacrifice, but you know what?
- 39:38SPEAKER_01: When it came to the revolution, people gave it all, and some gave it with their lives.
- 39:44SPEAKER_01: And America needs to get back to the idea that we are a nation of sacrifice, we are a nation that loves our country, we are a nation that is willing to fight to the bitter end, even when it is against a nation that at the time was the greatest military power on earth.
- 40:05SPEAKER_01: And with God's help, that is possible.
- 40:08SPEAKER_01: But if we do not apply this, if we keep on thinking that Republicans are gonna save everything, yeah, a form of it will, but if it gets so far away from it what it was, and it's no longer really conservative because it isn't conserving anything, we have to reevaluate and circle the wagons and start from scratch, not in the sense of throw the baby out with the bath water, but we have to start actually getting some grassroots roots things happening that actually send a message to the party that hey, business as usual is over with, we are done with this, we are moving on.
- 40:48SPEAKER_01: We are actually going to fight against this idea that you are not representing the values that you claim to believe that are a part of your platform.
- 40:58SPEAKER_01: So when you want to start talking about the idea of going soft on not having traditional marriage, and when you're wanting to go soft on abortion, we have to send a message through our vote and through our dollars.
- 41:12SPEAKER_01: Yes, money and sacrifice.
- 41:15SPEAKER_01: And I know it's difficult, and I know a lot of you people are saying, like, I'm just trying to survive, I'm just trying to get through life, I don't have time for these things.
- 41:23SPEAKER_01: I get it, but maybe start small, sacrifice something that you are giving your time to something political that is local, whether that be going to a school board or a meeting once in a while or a town hall meeting and voice your opinion.
- 41:40SPEAKER_01: Little things like that add up.
- 41:43SPEAKER_01: And a lot of times, here's what's funny with when you have elections that are more centralized when it comes to your city or even your state per se, it's not as many votes to win these seats in city council or in school boards.
- 42:00SPEAKER_01: It's sometimes won only by a hundred votes, two hundred, maybe the max a thousand, depending on what state you live in.
- 42:08SPEAKER_01: So you got to think bigger and you got to think that it is possible.
- 42:13SPEAKER_01: And we have to start actually as churches promoting people from our own ranks, getting behind someone and saying, Yes, this person has great ideas, he loves God, he wants to actually see change in his own community, let's put some money towards him, let's promote him.
- 42:33SPEAKER_01: And this is where some disagree because we tend to think that as pastors, they cannot promote politics from the pulpit.
- 42:41SPEAKER_01: But I asked the question like, if we believe that Christianity is best for the world and that it actually is the thing that actually changes lives for the better, and we want to actually have it where we have peaceful and quiet lives and we actually make something of ourselves, and we actually have an effect on the community in a positive manner.
- 43:01SPEAKER_01: I think a good way of showing a good Christian example is through electing Christian people into office so that they can see, wow, this is the first politician I've ever seen that actually cares about not spending my money unwisely.
- 43:15SPEAKER_01: This is the first politician that actually listens to what I have when it comes to concerns and things that I care about.
- 43:23SPEAKER_01: And maybe, just maybe, that would actually change some things.
- 43:28SPEAKER_01: I think right now, when it this all wraps up when it comes to this whole civil war that's going on, I think in the end, people are tired of the old school, you know, neocons that are basically just pushing this old agenda of basically eternal wars, constant spending, and no morals whatsoever.
- 43:53SPEAKER_01: And I think they're gone.
- 43:54SPEAKER_01: I think they are washed up, hasbins that really are a waste of time and Space.
- 44:01SPEAKER_01: And I think in the end, right now, a lot of people are saying, like, yeah, America should be first.
- 44:06SPEAKER_01: We should have it where we actually care about our people because that's what we voted for you for.
- 44:12SPEAKER_01: We didn't vote for you because you decided you wanted to go support foreign countries and foreign wars all over the world.
- 44:24SPEAKER_01: Like, we just never have.
- 44:26SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 44:27SPEAKER_01: I don't understand like what is going on or why this is the case.
- 44:32SPEAKER_01: Uh like another thing to add that I was actually pretty excited is it appears like Lindsey Graham may face losing his South Carolina seat after 23 years.
- 44:40SPEAKER_01: And I think that's a good thing.
- 44:41SPEAKER_01: I think Lindsey Graham is an awful candidate.
- 44:44SPEAKER_01: I think he is terrible.
- 44:45SPEAKER_01: He is not America first.
- 44:47SPEAKER_01: He is everywhere under the sun.
- 44:49SPEAKER_01: He is all game for.
- 44:52SPEAKER_01: And I think these, you know, incumbents that have been there for way too long need to have a message where they are removed.
- 45:01SPEAKER_01: Uh, another one, too, is like you have Congressman Brian Mass, okay, who's who was wearing an Israeli uniform at Capitol Hill, and that's absolutely disrespectful to his office and to his nation.
- 45:16SPEAKER_01: He doesn't work for Israel, he doesn't represent Israel.
- 45:20SPEAKER_01: You represent America, and everyone wants to say that's anti-Semitic.
- 45:25SPEAKER_01: No, it's not.
- 45:26SPEAKER_01: It makes no bloody sense for a congressman to wear a uniform of another country.
- 45:33SPEAKER_01: I don't care if it's solidarity or what, okay?
- 45:37SPEAKER_01: Like you wave one flag, you support the army of America, and that's it.
- 45:44SPEAKER_01: End of story.
- 45:46SPEAKER_01: And I think the question needs to be asked right now, because I've seen this countless times and it drives me crazy.
- 45:54SPEAKER_01: These candidates need to be start to ask the question, okay, if it comes like whenever they mention some country that they want to support, you ask them, okay, what if that country that you want to support all of a sudden decides to turn its guns towards us?
- 46:07SPEAKER_01: Are you going to support them or America?
- 46:10SPEAKER_01: Who do you want to win?
- 46:11SPEAKER_01: That's the question that needs to be asked.
- 46:14SPEAKER_01: Because that is the truth of where their loyalty lies.
- 46:17SPEAKER_01: And I think right now there's a lot of fake Republicans out there that claim to be conservative, they're not.
- 46:23SPEAKER_01: And it the demographics have really changed a lot with the party.
- 46:27SPEAKER_01: But I honestly am encouraged though, because I think it's actually going in a good direction.
- 46:33SPEAKER_01: I think a lot of the young people are waking up to a lot of this as well.
- 46:37SPEAKER_01: They want to have a better future, and I think they are seeing Republican candidates that they know they want to get behind and support.
- 46:44SPEAKER_01: So there's good things on the horizon, but we have to be steadfast.
- 46:49SPEAKER_01: We have to keep our eyes peeled and actually look and ask ourselves the hard question where we can get involved, where we can actually make little micro changes over time that add up into big payoff.
- 47:03SPEAKER_01: And as always, ladies and gentlemen, I just want to thank you so much for tuning in.
- 47:10SPEAKER_01: And in the end, we know that Christ is king, he is on the throne, and he's reigning right now.
- 47:17SPEAKER_01: But we are also, until we get home, we have to be people of action.
- 47:22SPEAKER_01: So if you like our episodes, I want to encourage you and just tell you share it on your Facebook, on X, leave a review, feel free to leave a comment, all right?
- 47:34SPEAKER_01: Follow us as well.
- 47:36SPEAKER_01: And thank you so much for tuning in to the Goon Tavern.
- 47:40SPEAKER_01: I'm Gene McKeever.
- 47:41SPEAKER_01: God bless, keep fighting hard and don't back down.
