- 0:00Speaker 1: Mark Simoni's back on seventeen. Hey, the biggest and best
- 0:06Speaker 1: columnist in America, Miranda Divine. You can read her in
- 0:10Speaker 1: The New York Post and make sure you get her book.
- 0:12Speaker 1: It's a big bestseller. But if you haven't read the book,
- 0:14Speaker 1: The Big Guy, get Miranda Divine's book and listen to
- 0:17Speaker 1: her podcast. It's fantastic pod Force one. A lot of
- 0:22Speaker 1: great episodes are out wherever you get podcasts. Miranda Divine,
- 0:26Speaker 1: how you doing.
- 0:28Speaker 2: I'm really well. Thanks Mark, Thanks for having me on.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Thanks for all the great work, great columns. Hey talk
- 0:33Speaker 1: about the media, the far left me even normal mainstream
- 0:37Speaker 1: it's gone crazy. Those two Isis bomb throwers are just happy,
- 0:42Speaker 1: go lucky teenagers and they're attacking us over Iran. What
- 0:46Speaker 1: is going on here?
- 0:48Speaker 2: I just think that Trump derangement has gripped so hard
- 0:54Speaker 2: that they can't even see for their own self protection
- 0:58Speaker 2: or the protection of their readers, their viewers. They don't care.
- 1:03Speaker 1: You know.
- 1:04Speaker 2: They make us more at risk by downplaying these terrorist attacks.
- 1:10Speaker 2: I mean, I think now it's impossible for them to
- 1:12Speaker 2: pretend that we're not suffering from a rise, a surge
- 1:17Speaker 2: in Islamic terrorism, And this is something that New York
- 1:22Speaker 2: knows all too well, and yet we have a mayor
- 1:25Speaker 2: who is the chief of the down players. He posed
- 1:30Speaker 2: as if he were the victim of the two Isis
- 1:35Speaker 2: inspired suspects who threw those homemade bombs into a crowd
- 1:40Speaker 2: outside his grace in ancient He was perfectly safe because
- 1:43Speaker 2: he's got a massive detail and the house is set
- 1:47Speaker 2: right back from the street. But still he just could
- 1:51Speaker 2: not bring himself to utter the word terrorism until two
- 1:55Speaker 2: or three days on. And at the very beginning, he
- 1:58Speaker 2: was just railing against what was it like white supremacy
- 2:02Speaker 2: and bigotry and racism because they were these anti Muslim
- 2:07Speaker 2: protesters outside Gracey Ansen, but the attackers were attacking them.
- 2:13Speaker 2: They were on his side. And you know, this is
- 2:16Speaker 2: a mayor who doesn't get it.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Yeah, but maybe he does get it. Maybe, you know,
- 2:22Speaker 1: like inviting that terrorist sympathizer to dinner at Gracy Mansion
- 2:25Speaker 1: if he wanted to be his friend, maybe talk to
- 2:28Speaker 1: him privately on the phone, but to bring him right
- 2:30Speaker 1: into Gracy Mansion. He's trying to send us a message
- 2:33Speaker 1: of some.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Kind, isn't he And then tweet out a photo. It
- 2:37Speaker 2: wasn't as if he was even discreet about it. He
- 2:41Speaker 2: invited Mahmood Khalil, who's the anti Hamas agitator who organized
- 2:47Speaker 2: or led the Columbia protests and to the Trump administration
- 2:51Speaker 2: has been trying to deport and has become a cause
- 2:55Speaker 2: celebrity in the left. And ford Or this guy is
- 3:01Speaker 2: just a hero and a saint. So he invites him
- 3:04Speaker 2: over and honors him with a special dinner. And that's
- 3:07Speaker 2: just twenty four hours after these two bombs that only
- 3:12Speaker 2: by the grace of God did not explode and kill
- 3:15Speaker 2: and name dozens of people and police officers.
- 3:19Speaker 1: This is all just in the first few weeks, is Mayor.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Then the cop is shot him, he goes to visit
- 3:24Speaker 1: the shooter in the hospital, not the Yeah, so what
- 3:28Speaker 1: are we going to do for the next three and
- 3:29Speaker 1: a half years.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Well, I mean, Danny's just the most obvious manifestation of
- 3:35Speaker 2: this sickness and the Democrat Party and you know, as
- 3:39Speaker 2: you say, they identify with the persecutor, not the victim.
- 3:44Speaker 2: They are soft on crime because they think that anybody
- 3:48Speaker 2: who's locked up by law enforcement is a victim, and
- 3:51Speaker 2: they're victims are just people that you're just inconvenient truths.
- 3:55Speaker 2: That you just want to ignore. And they seem to
- 4:00Speaker 2: feel that they themselves are impervious to any consequences. And
- 4:04Speaker 2: I guess when you control cities like the Democrats do
- 4:08Speaker 2: across this country. They control the greatest cities New York, LA, Chicago.
- 4:15Speaker 2: They control the nation's capital to the point where you
- 4:19Speaker 2: cannot Washington, d C. The Trump administration cannot get a
- 4:25Speaker 2: jury that is unbiased, so they can't really prosecute any
- 4:29Speaker 2: of the cases they want to bring, and they're they're
- 4:32Speaker 2: a sort of a stalemate. And you know, the Democrats
- 4:35Speaker 2: also control the legal profession, and so they're busy concocting
- 4:41Speaker 2: new law fare while the Trump administration, the DOJ is
- 4:45Speaker 2: kind of flow and on the back foot and has
- 4:48Speaker 2: a whole bunch of vipers within the nest.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Miranda divine. The other media narrative is about Iran. Well,
- 4:55Speaker 1: the president has not explained to us what the do
- 4:59Speaker 1: you need anything explained to you? I think I could
- 5:00Speaker 1: see the purpose of this war, can't you.
- 5:04Speaker 2: I mean, I think it's been crystal clear from the
- 5:07Speaker 2: bombing last year of the nuclear facilities at Fudo to
- 5:14Speaker 2: the Saturday that he decided to launch an attack. I
- 5:18Speaker 2: think it's been pretty obvious. I mean it's actually has
- 5:21Speaker 2: been obvious for almost half a century that Iran is
- 5:24Speaker 2: our enemy, and they make no bones about it. They're
- 5:28Speaker 2: constantly saying death to America. They fund all the proxies
- 5:33Speaker 2: that attack Americans from the battlefield in Iraq and Afghanistan.
- 5:38Speaker 2: They are the masterminds of the IEDs that killed and
- 5:42Speaker 2: maimed and left brain injured so many American soldiers. So
- 5:47Speaker 2: we know that they do not mean well to us.
- 5:51Speaker 2: But every other president has, you know, erred on the
- 5:55Speaker 2: side of caution and decided that Iran is too big
- 5:59Speaker 2: a beast to go after, and so they've just tried
- 6:02Speaker 2: to appease them with billions of dollars of cash as
- 6:05Speaker 2: the Barmer administration did, or turn a blind eye, or
- 6:09Speaker 2: kick the can down the road. And Donald Trump's not
- 6:12Speaker 2: a guy to kick the can down the road. So
- 6:15Speaker 2: for good or for ill, we're in it now. And
- 6:18Speaker 2: I think it's incumbent on us to support what the
- 6:22Speaker 2: administration is doing and just hope they know what they're doing.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Hey, Miranda Devine, do we need obviously we do, but
- 6:29Speaker 1: can we ever get term limits? You know you got
- 6:32Speaker 1: this Clyburn James Clyburn. He's eighty five running for reelection.
- 6:35Speaker 1: We really do need term limits, don't we.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Yeah, we need term limits, and also we don't need dynasties. Honestly,
- 6:43Speaker 2: what is it? Cliburn's daughter apparently is waiting in the
- 6:47Speaker 2: takeover when he finally decides, after what is it seventeen terms,
- 6:51Speaker 2: that he might take a break. The problem is he
- 6:55Speaker 2: has such a stranglehold on that neck of the woods
- 6:58Speaker 2: that he'll just get whatever he wants or he'll be
- 7:01Speaker 2: able to run again from a coffin.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Not good, Not good. Hey, we love your podcast, Miranda Devine.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Us a great podcast, Pod Force one. There's soole many
- 7:12Speaker 1: great episodes with President Trump. Everybody can go on. Wherever
- 7:16Speaker 1: you get your podcast, you can listen to all of them.
- 7:17Speaker 1: Who do you have next?
- 7:20Speaker 2: So we've got oh, I'm trying to remember. I think
- 7:22Speaker 2: it's Brendan Carr, the FCC commissioner. It was going to
- 7:29Speaker 2: be James Coma. We're interviewing both, but James Coma's got
- 7:35Speaker 2: just had an issue in Kentucky that he's got to stay.
- 7:38Speaker 2: So we're not sure if we're going to be able
- 7:40Speaker 2: to interview James Karma. I would love to do that
- 7:42Speaker 2: love to find out what he thought of Hillary Clinton
- 7:47Speaker 2: her testimony and what he thinks of Jill Biden's new book.
- 7:52Speaker 2: So we will get to him at some point, but
- 7:55Speaker 2: it may not be in time for our next drop
- 7:58Speaker 2: on Wednesday one.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Well, make sure you get Miranda Devine's latest book, The
- 8:03Speaker 1: Big Guy. She's written the best books on Joe Biden.
- 8:05Speaker 1: The Big Guy is a huge best seller. What do
- 8:08Speaker 1: you think, What do you think Joe Biden will be
- 8:10Speaker 1: in the next year, just still sitting there in Delaware
- 8:12Speaker 1: doing nothing. Well, we want to know.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Obviously their grifts by nature and explains Joe Biden's book.
- 8:24Speaker 2: But I don't know. He seems like when he's allowed out,
- 8:30Speaker 2: he reminds us of who he is. And he gave
- 8:32Speaker 2: a speech the other day in which he told everyone
- 8:35Speaker 2: that he's smarter than all of you, and he's always
- 8:37Speaker 2: been smarter, and everyone thought that he wasn't smart because
- 8:40Speaker 2: he had a stutter, but actually hid his genius. I
- 8:44Speaker 2: don't know why he was talking about that, but that's him.
- 8:47Speaker 2: It's all about Joe Biden. So I think until his
- 8:50Speaker 2: dying breath, he will be lying for America and self
- 8:55Speaker 2: aggrandizing and telling tall tales.
- 8:57Speaker 1: And flying commercial all the time. He's the only president
- 9:00Speaker 1: can't seem to borrow a plane from anybody. He always
- 9:02Speaker 1: flying commercial. It's pretty embarrassing.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Well, I mean, I think I think the Democrat donors
- 9:09Speaker 2: were furious about the twenty four election with both Joe
- 9:13Speaker 2: Biden and Kamala Harris. And Joe Biden saddled the Democrat
- 9:17Speaker 2: Party with Kamala Harris because he promised Jim Kliburn and
- 9:21Speaker 2: another that he would appoint a woman of color as
- 9:26Speaker 2: his VP. And he did that, and he chose probably
- 9:30Speaker 2: the stupidest woman of color he could have found in
- 9:33Speaker 2: the whole country in Kamila Harris. But they were stuck
- 9:36Speaker 2: with her, and she was unelectable. And yet she still
- 9:39Speaker 2: has a baton in her knapsack. She's still or is
- 9:41Speaker 2: teasing that she's going to run again.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Say that again. A button in her knapsack.
- 9:47Speaker 2: It must be an australianism bassin like a leadership batson.
- 9:51Speaker 1: A baton in her knapsack. I got to use that.
- 9:54Speaker 1: That's excellent.
- 9:56Speaker 2: I didn't realize it. It was a strange Australian.
- 10:00Speaker 1: I'm afraid it is. But it's great. Well, everybody get
- 10:03Speaker 1: Miranda Divine's book, The Big Guy. Make sure you get
- 10:06Speaker 1: the podcast where if you get podcasts, you can get
- 10:08Speaker 1: pod Force one. Of course, reader in the New York Post,
- 10:11Speaker 1: and we love having you on, Miranda Divine, thanks for being.
- 10:14Speaker 2: With us, Thanks so much, Make all.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Right, take care. They don't forget Curtis is now here
