Sacramento Zoo just welcomed three HeroRATs—African giant pouched rats trained to sniff out TB, landmines, and illegal wildlife trade. Starting Thursday at 9:30 AM, visitors can see them in a brand-new habitat near the cheetahs, with daily maze demos at 10:15 AM showcasing their smarts. The zoo’s ambassador crew will highlight their conservation work, and first 500 guests get free HeroRAT stickers.
