- 2:16Hello everybody. Welcome back.
- 2:19We're doing a little little SpaceX thing mostly SpaceX
- 2:26today. Mostly SpaceX.
- 2:29Greetings from Billings Montana. Deborah, good evening.
- 2:32Good evening. It's 4:22 p.m.
- 2:35Eastern here on the east coast of the United States in
- 2:39beautiful amazing, amazing Burlington Vermont.
- 2:43So love this little city. Have to say, But all over this
- 2:50country. And there is a few places that I
- 2:54would consider Home in Burlington Vermont is one of
- 2:57them. So Jaden.
- 2:59Hey, how's it going? Um, So SpaceX.
- 3:06The dragon, his docked with the space station.
- 3:13Awesome is just, it's stuff. It's not people, it's just stuff
- 3:17and that happened today. Hello from Holland theorists.
- 3:20How you doing virus bad with names?
- 3:23We have two names. Hope everyone is doing well.
- 3:27There's a yeah there's a few things going on today.
- 3:31Now looks like SpaceX passed their test which tests you
- 3:33talking about a boot. I'm pretty close to Canada.
- 3:37So, I'm allowed to say that by the way.
- 3:40I'm like, you know 60 miles from Canada.
- 3:44In Vermont is kind of like Little Canada.
- 3:46So I'm allowed to see a boot. Yeah, these these things.
- 4:01These podcasts are really fun. Let me bring up the SpaceX.
- 4:07The Twitter, they do a really good job of just kind of doing
- 4:11the important stuff on their Twitter page in a little
- 4:13Snippets. It is really nice.
- 4:21What's pretty cool also is that NASA has a really good live feed
- 4:29and if you've never just kind of like put it on the background
- 4:34and hung out and just watch the stuff that they post like they
- 4:39have for some pretty cool programming.
- 4:42Some pretty cool programming, and it's pretty interesting to
- 4:45see, you know, what they think is important to show the public,
- 4:50which is, it's pretty cool if you think about it, like that,
- 4:51like, hey, what's the cool stuff that they think is cool?
- 4:54And then the other stuff that we think is cool, you know?
- 4:57So you kind of have to play off that.
- 4:58But I think everything NASA does is pretty cool.
- 5:01Let me that's just me. I'm sure those bureaucracy,
- 5:05those red tape, it takes forever to get anything done etcetera,
- 5:10but that's is amazing, and they've done amazing things.
- 5:12So, putting NASA TV on in the background is awesome.
- 5:15Also Cosmos, the Neil deGrasse Tyson show.
- 5:25Let's see here. What is it's coming tonight?
- 5:27I think it on Nat Geo 8:00 at night.
- 5:32Let me make sure that's right. Let me season 3 trailer.
- 5:41Possible worlds. Possible worlds.
- 5:47That's my Jeff Goldblum /. Neil deGrasse, Tyson
- 5:49impersonation. Wait a second. the can I watch
- 5:55this on Disney plus, your favorite actually goes to use a
- 5:58film streaming anytime on Disney plus, um, Yeah, so following the
- 6:06wildly successful Spacetime. Odyssey, Neil deGrasse, Tyson
- 6:10Returns His host translate more Revelations of science into a
- 6:13larva strands lavish transporting experience.
- 6:16Think audience at a series of spiritual Voyages of
- 6:19exploration. Cool, cool, cool.
- 6:23Canada Day, ever been to Canada. While Deborah, I got to get back
- 6:28there sometime. It's beautiful.
- 6:31I love Canada. Everything about it.
- 6:34I love everything about it. The show reveals previously
- 6:37Uncharted Realms including lost worlds worlds yet to come in the
- 6:40world's that humans be one day and have it.
- 6:44Let's see, let's see. Yeah, and Seth is back and an is
- 6:49back. So the whole crew is back.
- 6:53So yeah, this is the trailer, which I probably won't be able
- 6:56to play. Yeah.
- 6:59Probably don't want to play this because Let's go over there so
- 7:03you guys can actually see what I'm talking about.
- 7:06There we go. That's really small.
- 7:10We get this to like a decent size for you guys.
- 7:14Well, there we go. There it is.
- 7:15That's the beginning of the trailer.
- 7:17Won't be able to play the sound but we can have the visuals in
- 7:19the background probably. But yeah, the original Cosmos.
- 7:25Carl Sagan is amazing. We all know that.
- 7:28It's absolutely stunning and beautiful and breathtaking.
- 7:31The Neil deGrasse Tyson Tyson version is pretty amazing as
- 7:35well. The last season was really great
- 7:39and I used to actually watch it too, like to go to bed.
- 7:42You know, his voice is soothing but also there's cool stuff
- 7:45going on. So you learn something it's like
- 7:47osmosis sizing, you know, as you're going to bed, you listen
- 7:51to something cool. I do that with Nova as well.
- 7:54The PBS Nova show, I put that on the background and I think maybe
- 7:58somewhere in my head as I'm sleeping, I'll learn something
- 8:01from the show, but Cosmos is definitely.
- 8:05One of those things where you're like, yo, this is this legit.
- 8:10Like I'm going to learn something and then you pass out
- 8:12and fall asleep. Sorry that's just what happens?
- 8:1617.1 17.1 case of yeah. I know what did that happen?
- 8:22There was literally like Overnight.
- 8:26I don't even understand it. I don't understand it.
- 8:29It is kind of crazy and it happened within a few days and
- 8:34there was like this hat on hat off thing.
- 8:35But I can't keep control of it. There's too many people subbing
- 8:38to my channel now, so I can't do it.
- 8:41You know, I can't do the Hat on head off thing because I can't
- 8:43really keep track of it. I'm like, wait, where am I, what
- 8:46am I doing? So I'm just kind of chilling.
- 8:50Soothing voices. Yeah TJ.
- 8:52Yeah, exactly, yeah, soothing voices, you got Information.
- 8:56That's awesome. You know you get things that
- 8:58will maybe make you think for a second right before you fall
- 9:00asleep and then maybe that'll transform into like some sort of
- 9:03crazy dream. That'll be amazing when you wake
- 9:05up and you're like holy cow I just figure something out.
- 9:09I just figured everything out. So yeah that that's one of the
- 9:16things where you're like Crazy, crazy, crazy crazy.
- 9:22I also want to show you guys the School site that I saw a couple
- 9:27days ago rocket launched out live.
- 9:31They have a cool calendar of All the rocket launches coming up.
- 9:37It's a good way for me to figure out what I want to stream.
- 9:43You know, and they have a huge huge list of stuff.
- 9:47I'm actually working on a project similar to this and I'll
- 9:50let you guys know what it is when it happens.
- 9:51So you know, it's gonna be a little bit different, it'll be
- 9:57different this, it'll still be a calendar and you know, you'll
- 9:59still be able to go there and watch streams and things like
- 10:01that. But it'll be, I'm trying to get
- 10:03a more community-based than just a list.
- 10:06So if if I can actually, you know, pull that off in the next
- 10:11couple weeks, that's the plan as To get us started with a list of
- 10:15launches coming up and run Downs.
- 10:18You know, like brief descriptions with things.
- 10:21I've seen a couple list but I wasn't 100% satisfied with what
- 10:25I was seeing and I know this is going to be a little bit more
- 10:27work than just the YouTube channel but that's okay, it's
- 10:31part of the gig, right? So yeah, that's it's going to be
- 10:36part of the whole like space news pod.
- 10:39Umbrella I guess I also speak new spot.com which I don't
- 10:42really update which I probably should but I'm not a writer
- 10:46that's the thing. Like I'm not a writer and I'm
- 10:48okay with that. I don't need to be a writer and
- 10:50I don't want to pretend to be a writer because I don't have any
- 10:53real experience on that. I did have an old website And it
- 11:00was you know I kept it around for a little while space
- 11:03industry news.com and it was pretty popular for a while on
- 11:06Reddit. Millions of hits and then I just
- 11:10kind of like I had real-life stuff take over like I got a
- 11:13real job. And that took over and I spent
- 11:21more time doing the real job than that.
- 11:22So I had to abandon that years and years ago and that's what
- 11:26kind of like my first toe. Dip into this whole Space dele.
- 11:30So I guess I've been doing this kind of stuff for like Ever for
- 11:35a long time, but I haven't had a YouTube channel until just
- 11:40recently. So as you can see, Falcon 9's
- 11:44coming up starlink 6 March 14th. We will be streaming that live
- 11:47on this channel, so make sure to subscribe and get notifications.
- 11:53So he has to roscosmos March 15th the day.
- 11:55After, if I can, I will it's 227 p.m. the Falcon 9 launch is 9:35
- 12:02a.m. March 14th.
- 12:06And this was 227 p.m. March 16th, not sure the gslv to
- 12:12G. The G is at 1, we try to do that
- 12:17one earlier, but they scrubbed it.
- 12:18So they're postponing it till now March 16th because it was
- 12:23going to happen on March 6. So Atlas 5 launch, Ula launch
- 12:28from the cape. 3:22 p.m. March 19th.
- 12:34Be streaming that one to the soyuz.
- 12:35These ones are always tricky, the soyuz once, because you
- 12:38really don't know. Sometimes, you know, where
- 12:40they're going to stream, sometimes, you know what's going
- 12:42to happen, but sometimes they're just like, we're just not going
- 12:45to stream this one, so I can't really make plans for the soyuz.
- 12:48Launch has electron Rockets. They always always have cool
- 12:53stuff. So that might be one Falcon 9,
- 12:55SpaceX, CEO, com1, be long, march.
- 12:59Trying to ones either kind of iffy to so we'll see.
- 13:03We'll see what happens with these ones and then Astra we got
- 13:05to see 3.0 flight, March 20, 20, Possibly, so we'll see what
- 13:13happens. And I'll let you guys know about
- 13:14the calendar thing. O SN 2 passes pressure test.
- 13:19Yes it didn't pop the lid. I didn't see that.
- 13:21So that's awesome. Thanks for that Insight now.
- 13:24Let's, um, In a, let's kind of move on to the next thing.
- 13:31Get some morning after I launch. The midnight launch is sometimes
- 13:34hard for me too. Yeah, the the late-night
- 13:37launches tjr. They're cool.
- 13:41But the last launch that I did which started at 11:30 ish.
- 13:46I stayed up till like 2:00 in the morning and I've been dead
- 13:49ever since I'm just been kind of like why did I do that to
- 13:54myself? so, we have kind of move on to
- 13:59the Dragon capsule capture at the space station.
- 14:06NASA has a really great one hour video. so we're going to take a
- 14:16quick look-see at this, but I'll scrub forward and back because
- 14:23the fact that these things take a really long time, like a very,
- 14:28very long time. I might even move myself out of
- 14:30here in a second, but they do get some stunning stunning.
- 14:35Beautiful views of the earth, like how can you go wrong with
- 14:39just that if they didn't capture?
- 14:43That capsule. I'd still be fine if I were NASA
- 14:48and SpaceX of just getting this shot, like, how cool is that?
- 14:52I can't really see through like kind of part of me, but just
- 14:57seeing a satellite, you know, Sarah seeing this as a little
- 15:00satellite. Okay, so they go through
- 15:04everything and then it's about an hour long you know these
- 15:09things take a long time. you know, and then you can scrub
- 15:16through the whole thing. And it takes.
- 15:23A lot of precision, a lot of really smart people doing really
- 15:29smart things to get this thing a lined up properly.
- 15:34And that eventually eventually the grab it with that arm.
- 15:40You like in the way you like it. We go.
- 15:43Come on. So I'm just skipping through
- 15:45here so you guys can see the. There we go.
- 15:52You're probably let me pause this so I can get a better.
- 15:57Full screen for you here. There we go.
- 16:01So you can get a better look at it.
- 16:04Look at that. Crazy, is that?
- 16:22Yeah. And this part of it only takes
- 16:23like two minutes but the rest of it, like getting it lined up and
- 16:28getting ready to roll, you know, well, not roll.
- 16:30But ready to attach. Look at that.
- 16:34Perfect. T', every time.
- 16:39And getting it, you know, ready to be grabbed, I guess the
- 16:43SpaceX capsule to be grabbed and that's pretty cool.
- 16:50But yeah, that's that's insane. Yeah, that's absolutely insane.
- 16:55And maybe I'm just a dude, you know, like, I've never been to
- 16:59space. I don't really want to go to, I
- 17:01mean, I do want to go to space, but I mean, I've never had any
- 17:04idea of like, I'm going to be an astronaut not recently when I
- 17:07was a kid, I did when I was a kid.
- 17:08I was like, yeah, I'm gonna be an astronaut when I grow up.
- 17:11But now I'm like, man, I will never get there.
- 17:16But watching these kind of things, it just Stokes me out.
- 17:20It makes me super excited about the things that will be
- 17:23happening in the next, you know, 15 years of space exploration.
- 17:31How many thousands of miles per hour?
- 17:32Yeah exactly Deborah. How many Thousand Miles let's
- 17:36let's get a direct how fast is the space station going. 4.76
- 17:47miles per second. that's about 17,000 miles per hour, if So
- 17:58yeah and they get all yeah, they do all this stuff going 17, you
- 18:02know, sixteen or seventeen thousand miles per hour.
- 18:08But it's relative you know 17,000 miles an hour in space
- 18:12isn't actually 17,000 miles per hour.
- 18:16Here because they don't have anything to run into, basically,
- 18:20basically the like, okay, you can go 17,000 miles an hour but
- 18:23it's kind of like you're stationary.
- 18:25You just have to catch up to that thing.
- 18:26That's going that's here. And if your SpaceX is capsule,
- 18:29you have to catch up to that thing.
- 18:31You still have to go 17,000 miles an hour, but you're not
- 18:33going to run into somebody else up there.
- 18:36So if you're going, you know, 80 or 90 miles an hour down here is
- 18:41pretty fast. Gravity Etc, but when you're up
- 18:45there, I'm sure it's a little bit different because you just
- 18:48have space in between you and the space station.
- 18:57How can anything going 70,000-plus?
- 19:00Was probably take so long, I don't know, but look, it is but
- 19:06their relative to each other now.
- 19:08So it's this, the SpaceX capsule is going 17,000 miles an hour.
- 19:11I caught up to it and then the space station is going 17,000
- 19:14miles an hour. And they're right next to each
- 19:17other and their grab it and like this, the space station is
- 19:20grabbing the capsule. Because they're relatively,
- 19:25they're going the same speed. Some people might think, like,
- 19:28how do you get going that fast? Well, you shoot yourself there
- 19:33with job, bunch of giant Rockets.
- 19:35That's one way to do it. You get to do an orbit and you
- 19:37push yourself up to the right orbit and then basically space
- 19:41station goes around and you catch it as it goes around like
- 19:46this patient. You know, you might be coming up
- 19:48this way. Space station is coming along
- 19:50this way and then when you get to a certain point, Catch the
- 19:53same orbit. You know, base that's super
- 19:57basic but you know, if that's what you can think about it and
- 20:01that's one way to think about it.
- 20:06But yeah, absolutely stunning, absolutely amazing.
- 20:10That this actually happens in our lifetime.
- 20:14It's a private capsule made by a private company doing cool stuff
- 20:19for NASA on a contract. So that is the latest on the
- 20:26SpaceX capsule being caught by the space station.
- 20:34And here's a quickie, here's here's the SpaceX version.
- 20:37The one minute for the 38 second version,
- 21:06Okay, so this guy down here and if you can see which one is, but
- 21:10there's a guy. Right.
- 21:13That guy right there. I think he's asleep.
- 21:18It's 5:00 in the morning. I think he's asleep.
- 21:20I haven't seen the movie yet. This roll back a little bit.
- 21:37Oh, you just woke up the very yet.
- 21:42He's like, what are we? Okay, it's on cool.
- 21:46We did a guys. There are dancing to slow you
- 21:49down. Exactly.
- 21:50Deborah. They guy got caught.
- 21:52Who are you, man? Who are you buddy?
- 21:56You right there. I'm calling you out Sleepy Man.
- 22:01Everyone else is like okay we're gonna do all of our work watch
- 22:03everybody else moving around you're all kind of like you know
- 22:06the kind of move it. At least.
- 22:09Their heads are up this guy? Well, there he goes.
- 22:11He moved. He moved to watch this.
- 22:13He moves. Okay.
- 22:18He moved. So that was my bad, you're not
- 22:20asleep, buddy. He's moving around.
- 22:31What would it be like to work for NASA for this long, you
- 22:35know, like what if this guy started in his 20s and he still
- 22:37there? Like that's a good job.
- 22:39That's a cool job to have, that's a career you know.
- 22:47That is a, that is a dude, you know, hopefully, he, hopefully,
- 22:52he's had that job as whole life because I would be awesome.
- 22:54I'm sorry for calling you out there champ champ, buddy friend,
- 23:01but yeah, you weren't sleeping. So, my bad, my bad.
- 23:09So yeah. So those are the the newest
- 23:11things that have happened with SpaceX and NASA Artemis.
- 23:17There is some, some grumblings about Artemis, of course, the
- 23:25there's, there's a little bit in this is just pure speculation,
- 23:29pure speculation on a few people's part, coronavirus needs
- 23:33a bunch of money. Where can I take it from NASA?
- 23:37Just got a big bump. Can they re?
- 23:42Remove that money from NASA and give it to people to help them
- 23:45out. That was one of the I've heard
- 23:47that it's not a real thing not yet.
- 23:50So don't take my word as gospel. It's to take it with a grain of
- 23:53salt. So that was one of the things
- 23:57that I heard but I don't think that's going to happen.
- 24:00So don't worry about it. I just want to put it out there.
- 24:06Inside Elon musk's plan. This is on arstechnica inside
- 24:11Elon musk's plan to build a start one Starship a week and
- 24:15settle Mars. I think we need probably on the
- 24:18order of 1,000 Starships. That's a lot of rockets but he
- 24:23wants to make like a Starship a week or once every two weeks you
- 24:28know just build them up. I guess I mean think about this
- 24:31think about building a car, right?
- 24:34Henry Ford had his production line.
- 24:38You know that was kind of the thing that changed Vehicles
- 24:44Motor Vehicles. Everyone can buy a car.
- 24:47If they can get that sort of same process going with
- 24:51Starship, if they can get the money to do it and that's
- 24:54another thing, like our economy, just tanked, right?
- 24:57So People have. You know, they don't want to
- 25:03spend money on these things right now like, well, I've got
- 25:06my millions of dollars but I don't want to spend 500 million
- 25:09and, you know, giving it to Elon for his offworld stuff.
- 25:15So that's kind of a thing that you got to worry about to SpaceX
- 25:19is a private company and people with private money.
- 25:23They want to hold on to it. So if they did I think they did
- 25:26another round 500 million. I believe something like that.
- 25:31I'll have to look into it first in a second, but I think they
- 25:34just did another round of funding for 500 million.
- 25:37So that makes it, what is it like to?
- 25:42I think he's I don't want to say anything about it because I
- 25:46don't have the right numbers in front of me right now, that's
- 25:53it, that Dad and I had it earlier, but I think I lost it
- 25:57and all my thousand tabs that I have open space x-rays, is there
- 26:04it is? It was a CNBC article.
- 26:09SpaceX, raising over 500 million dollars, double with Elon Musk
- 26:12comes company planned to bring in SpaceX authorized 500 point
- 26:170, 6 million in new funding at a price of to 20 per share
- 26:20documents obtained by CNBC show. The new funding round value.
- 26:23SpaceX at a run 36 billion dollars up from thirty three
- 26:27point three billion. This round.
- 26:33They only wanted to do 250 thousand or Twenty fifty million
- 26:37and they made 500 million. So that's yeah.
- 26:41So people are you know, they're cool with investing.
- 26:44But in the future you never know because it's possible that you
- 26:50know, this Corona thing and if we don't keep track of it and
- 26:53take care of each other, then You know, people might not
- 26:58invest but as you can see, on the right side of this article
- 27:01as well, Dow sinks 2000 points in worst day.
- 27:04Since 2008, S&P 500 drops more than seven percent.
- 27:11You know, that's one of the things you got to worry about
- 27:14people, funding these awesome projects and they're like, well,
- 27:18all my stocks have tanked also right now is a perfect time to
- 27:22buy Tesla stocks. So, let's see what the Tesla
- 27:26stock price is and see. See how far as come down or if
- 27:30it's gone up. let's see, Tesla stocks Okay, Tesla is down.
- 27:37Thirteen point five, seven percent to $608 is down $95.
- 27:46So it might be a good time to get in just saying, I'm just
- 27:49speculating, I'm not at stock person.
- 27:51I don't I have one stock and I won't disclose that because then
- 27:55I don't want people to buy that stock.
- 27:59Because I'm not a I'm not a stock person.
- 28:02So let's take a look at this, too, because this is a, it kind
- 28:06of wraps in with everything. 600. 6.50 .32, okay?
- 28:12So see the high 654 is down a little bit, right?
- 28:17And it might go down a little bit more and this is just today.
- 28:20So Might be a good time. I don't know.
- 28:25I don't know anything about stocks so don't take my word for
- 28:27it. It might be cool.
- 28:30But just think about it, if you're in the in the purchase
- 28:34range of a Tesla stock. So you might be cool to be
- 28:39something you're interested in. the show was not brought to you
- 28:43by Dunkin Donuts, but I wish it were So let's see here.
- 28:51Yeah, that's pretty interesting. But yeah, like I was saying
- 28:54SpaceX raising money. Starship coming up starlink you
- 29:01get in early right so you get an early on the starlink buzz, you
- 29:05think, okay. So they're going to, they're
- 29:07going to build off of this thing.
- 29:09This starlink is going to be a thing that they're going to sell
- 29:12off their going. To IPO starlink you get an
- 29:14early, you put in your five hundred million dollars, right?
- 29:18You know, whatever you put in your million, two million,
- 29:20whatever. And then when the IPO starlink
- 29:24is that part of your deal with SpaceX when you buy some stock?
- 29:27Skin to get parts. Starlink, I don't know.
- 29:31Right? So that's possible.
- 29:33Why people are buying in now is because they're like, well,
- 29:36starlink is gonna be huge billions and billions of
- 29:38dollars. Never invest more than you can
- 29:41afford to lose. That's why, you know what school
- 29:45and I'm going to a little, a little note here is, what's it
- 29:52called the cash app? I think I have the cash app
- 29:55here. Think that's what what?
- 29:57Which one it is. But you can buy parts of stocks
- 30:02which is really weird. Yeah, you can buy parts of
- 30:05stocks. Yeah, that's the one.
- 30:10You can buy parts of stocks and it was so like you can buy a
- 30:14dollar worth of stock of Tesla stock if you want for the cash
- 30:17app or with the cash app. So yeah, if you're into it, go
- 30:24for it and you can't by SpaceX suck because that's not publicly
- 30:28traded that's all private but you can by Tesla stocks some
- 30:32Stokes What else is going on here?
- 30:37Yeah, I think that's all I really wanted to.
- 30:42Go over today. I think this is all stuff.
- 30:47We went over earlier is some at the ARs Technica thing, but musk
- 30:53has not been spending so much of his time at South Texas, just to
- 30:56build a Starship. He's trying to build a
- 30:58production line, for Starships, right there.
- 31:01Right there. That's what I was talking about.
- 31:02Earlier, a production line for Starships.
- 31:05So, like the Henry, Ford thing. How we made all those cars
- 31:08really quick and relatively inexpensive.
- 31:12Production is at least one thousand percent harder than
- 31:14making. One of something he said at
- 31:17least 1,000 percent harder. But, you know, Tesla, this is
- 31:21where he's learning stuff from Tesla, right?
- 31:23So the production facilities of Tesla, It's not the same.
- 31:28I know those are cars. They're much smaller than a
- 31:31Starship in there's a whole different thing but the things
- 31:35you learned from doing those production, those production
- 31:39runs and the facilities you're going to need.
- 31:43So you know, put those towards SpaceX, put those towards
- 31:47Starship make 1,000 Starships. That's what he said, right?
- 31:52He needs a thousand Starships. Yeah, a thousand.
- 31:56I think we need probably on the order of 1,000 Starships.
- 32:00So, if you need a thousand of them and they're all pretty
- 32:04expensive. I don't think there's been a
- 32:07price attached to one Starship yet, but, you know, maybe maybe
- 32:15now is the time that we kind of get in on this.
- 32:19I don't know. I'm not how he do that.
- 32:20I don't know how you buy into a SpaceX.
- 32:23I think you probably have to have a couple million bucks
- 32:25because probably like it to give, you know, like the dollar
- 32:28stocks from From the cachet up you by Tesla stocks on the on
- 32:33the cash app for a buck. So at least a piece of it.
- 32:36So you know that's one of the things.
- 32:44Never invest more than you can afford to lose.
- 32:46A great Monday afternoon to you later.
- 32:49Dude, who is that? Who is leaving.
- 32:51I'm not leaving. Of one thousand points of light.
- 32:57Oh, maybe Maybe a thousand points of light.
- 33:02Thousand points of rockets, launching a Mars.
- 33:07How cool would that be though if you have a thousand rockets and
- 33:10I can have 1000 of the same time, right?
- 33:14Because that would be kind of silly to a thousand Rockets
- 33:17launching towards Mars. At the same time, thousand
- 33:19Rockets would also have to land on Mars at the same time.
- 33:24So that wouldn't make sense unless you're going to just do
- 33:27it and get it over with you know but that just sounds like a
- 33:32cluster at that point. So, you know, there's going to
- 33:36be shifts, they're going to send supplies first, they're going to
- 33:38send things, habitats food, etc for people to survive on Mars
- 33:46and then eventually, they'll send people.
- 33:49So they're not all going to go the same time, but Elon did say
- 33:52he wants to make something sort of, like, Battlestar Galactica
- 33:56for Starfleet, where, you know, hundreds of these ships are in
- 33:59orbit and You just kind of go. Okay guys, let's go to Mars and
- 34:06then everyone goes pew, pew pew. Maybe not like in Star Trek or
- 34:09whatever but you know, you can't really Can't really transport
- 34:18that fast. Is this going to be like a slow
- 34:20burn? If one kind of cuts off, diverse
- 34:24orbit puts towards Mars, so there was also been talks about
- 34:30boosters, so I've heard of, I've heard a few different times
- 34:35about a Starship. So like, okay, so the the big FG
- 34:43right? The BFG, the big rocket, the big
- 34:45Falcon rocket, the heavy super heavy.
- 34:51They'd get a Starship into orbit fly around the earth a couple
- 34:55times, cool, okay. And then you dock with a rocket,
- 34:59right? So you have like a giant burst
- 35:01rocket that will send you to Mars.
- 35:05Those are a few things that have that have been that have come up
- 35:09also transporting Rockets halfway to Mars.
- 35:14So there's like a way station and you dock with that rocket
- 35:17halfway there. So you can have more fuel or
- 35:20like a refueling station, halfway there, something like
- 35:23that. It's going to be crazy.
- 35:27Crazy, crazy crazy. So you get halfway to Mars and
- 35:29you're like, well, we can still Coast there but that would take
- 35:32forever. Now, take 500 days are 300 days
- 35:36or you know, whatever the trajectory is and that's too
- 35:40long, even like 60 days is a long trip, right?
- 35:44So 60 days is long trip, that's two months.
- 35:47So why not just freaking launch to Mars as fast as you can?
- 35:51Big fucking rocket? Really cares, net Park, in Mars,
- 35:57orbit and have shuttle. Go to collect supplies as
- 35:59needed. Yeah, that's true.
- 36:01You could. Well, they just transport them
- 36:04from the transporter room someday someday, you know, maybe
- 36:09that's a thing. We did, we had a pretty big
- 36:11discussion about this on the other podcast about if you're
- 36:15transporting people in a start they are in a Star Trek type
- 36:20transporter do they still? Are they still them when they
- 36:26get there? There was one of the things that
- 36:27we were talking about and the other podcast a long time to get
- 36:30her a couple days ago and This last week, and the overall
- 36:36consensus was that we don't know.
- 36:39Kinda was like, do you get your soul?
- 36:41Boom, we don't know. Is your soul attached to every
- 36:44molecule in your body? If you do believe in Souls?
- 36:49Are you a carbon copy? Are you like Commander Riker
- 36:52from Star Trek? Does a copy of you stay here
- 36:55because you know there's still the things here and then it just
- 36:58makes a copy of you on the other side.
- 37:01Are you still the same person? Do your synapses, still fire the
- 37:04same way? Does something happen in between
- 37:06that when you don't get transported properly can you try
- 37:10it again? You know, can you can you is
- 37:12there a back-up plan? You know, it's not, is it just
- 37:14like a one shot thing? How long are you saved in
- 37:17memory? Like is there a ram?
- 37:19Version of a transporter for people that would make sense
- 37:22because what happens if something goes wrong when you're
- 37:25trying to transport to the next one, you know, in like that one.
- 37:28But the one that you're going to blows up first, you get
- 37:32attacked, you know, it's a Star Trek movie if you think about
- 37:34it. Don't let a fly-in.
- 37:40Thank you for the sub here. Appreciate that somebody else.
- 37:42Somebody earlier and I didn't catch it.
- 37:47It was on the screen, but it didn't catch it in chat.
- 37:49So thank you to the other sub for that.
- 37:52I don't know who you are, but you are awesome.
- 37:55Maybe you'll lose one, brain cell per trip.
- 37:57So the trip just gets more and more fun.
- 38:01Well, you never know, that's a possibility.
- 38:06Yeah, there's there's so many things you can think about with
- 38:08those kind of Technologies, but, you know, we're not there yet,
- 38:12we're not even close to there yet.
- 38:16Maybe, you know, maybe eventually, you know, maybe
- 38:19that'll be a thing. Of a Stargate.
- 38:23Yeah, exactly. Maybe it's a Stargate thing
- 38:25where you just walk through. It's a wormhole, he just walk
- 38:28through and you're like, oh cool.
- 38:29I'm on this other planet. Now, what if you put the
- 38:31Stargate at the wrong trajectory or the wrong, the wrong data set
- 38:36the end up on a son. What if that's ever happened in
- 38:38that show? The real question is, does
- 38:43anyone care unless there is a malfunction?
- 38:46So nobody cares until How are you going to keep the station
- 38:52between Mars and Earth? I'm not sure I'm not a rocket
- 38:54scientist. I'm not that sort of, I'm not
- 38:57that sciency. Is there a LaGrange Point
- 39:02l'orange, wait. The unstable the garage points.
- 39:14That's the first first thing that I got.
- 39:19Alright, let's check this out. I'm not sure what I'd have to
- 39:27look into that. A little bit more.
- 39:34But yeah, that would make sense though.
- 39:36You know, I think it would make sense.
- 39:42Jody smacks nothing really new about starlink.
- 39:46There is a launch coming up. Sterling six on March 14th,
- 39:49which will be on this show would be on this channel.
- 39:52So that's going to happen is at 9:35 a.m.
- 39:56March 14th. Is that a weekday?
- 39:59It is a Saturday 9:35 a.m. So I'll be here at 9:00 a.m.
- 40:03because the launch is a 9:35. They usually get on here.
- 40:06You know, SpaceX usually goes a little bit, you know, they go
- 40:09live little bit early so I'll be out a little bit early to We are
- 40:21starlink nothing crazy. I haven't heard anything about
- 40:27the reflectiveness of starlink either, recently.
- 40:30I think they're still doing tests on it, but I'll take a
- 40:32look at that for the next show, which is going to be on
- 40:34Wednesday. I do on Monday, Wednesday and
- 40:35Friday and I'm going to be start doing them at 4:20 p.m. eastern
- 40:41time on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
- 40:43So there's that. I changed the change that I'm a
- 40:47little bit. So it's more accommodating to
- 40:49people than live elsewhere and it's just a funny Number dude,
- 40:57dude, bro, so bioworks could just turn into walking through
- 41:02Stargate to a wrong destination for population control or you
- 41:05just shove a bunch of people in there into the sun.
- 41:11So I think said, they'd have limited service with six or
- 41:13seven launches it's coming up soon.
- 41:15Yeah it's I think it was possibly seven very limited
- 41:22though. Yeah.
- 41:26Nothing. Nothing is as far as as far as
- 41:29them going. Okay, we're going to do this,
- 41:30we're going to test it out. Yeah, there's nothing else.
- 41:38Yeah, nothing, nothing really, as far as the UFO sticks herself
- 41:45or something, I like that the UFO sticks, the the transmitters
- 41:49so yeah, nothing new transmitters are about this big,
- 41:52if you're not familiar, you know, they're about, you know,
- 41:55Elon Musk has said a few times that they're the size of a pizza
- 41:58box. So, How about they look like
- 42:01little spaceships? What's up Pitch him?
- 42:05How you doing? Other than that, starlink Jonas.
- 42:11The other thing that we were speculating earlier and it's
- 42:15just speculation people bought in Five hundred million dollars
- 42:21into SpaceX recently private, funding $220 per share.
- 42:27I mean I could buy a share next paycheck.
- 42:32I'll buy a share. All right, Ilan, how do I do
- 42:34that? But we were thinking 500 million
- 42:40dollars. They get in now they get it at
- 42:41SpaceX now, right? so, One star like IPOs.
- 42:49When starlink goes on has as its own thing.
- 42:52Then they get a little piece of that.
- 42:55Maybe some of their stock splits.
- 42:58I don't know, I don't know how all that stuff is going to work.
- 43:00So Yeah, we'll figure that out. As they comes said, mid 20/20
- 43:04crossing fingers. I hope it's You know May May
- 43:11June something like that you know.
- 43:13Hope it's hope it's soon but I'm assuming it's probably going to
- 43:17be more mid because they want to have a lot of satellites up
- 43:20there. But seven would be nice.
- 43:24Seven would be nice. They'll be.
- 43:28When is the next one, start? Like seven.
- 43:33Making sure that we have all of our Sterling 7, April, 20, 20,
- 43:38yeah. So that's gonna be crazy where
- 43:45the 35 watching and only 13 likes 36, 37.
- 43:49I don't know. Sometimes people don't, you
- 43:51know, sometimes people don't think of that, they just want to
- 43:53watch. That's cool.
- 43:54Do your thing, but thanks for end.
- 43:56But who has liked the show? Yeah, TJ Tampa.
- 44:00I hope I really hope. Starlink is probably going to be
- 44:06Start like 8 May and then we have starlink crew demo to core
- 44:13to 2020. That's gonna be sick.
- 44:17It's gonna be so cool. Yeah.
- 44:23So cool anyway. Yeah, that's going to be that's
- 44:26going to be crazy. No more star links.
- 44:28Falcon 9, SX m, a crew, one quarter, three 2020.
- 44:34Yeah, so Starling is going to be happening this year.
- 44:37Probably. No signs of stores.
- 44:47No ads for starlink employees. Really.
- 44:49Yeah. They might do a Tesla approach
- 44:51to where they're like where everyone just kind of wants it.
- 44:55You know, Tesla doesn't really need any ads.
- 44:57I don't think they run ads. Do they?
- 44:58They don't run ads. Yeah, they don't run out to
- 45:02people just want to test them. I see them all over the city
- 45:05here. So it's like, you know, this
- 45:10cities, mainly like Volkswagen mainly suberu suberu Volkswagen
- 45:16in. Then I've seen a bunch of
- 45:17Tesla's. so yeah, it'll be it'll be a thing I think in the next
- 45:29You know, I would say, three months Darlings going up.
- 45:33Yes. Only to go and going crazy in
- 45:37the next six months, for sure, for sure, six months.
- 45:40But three months, I think they're getting everything ready
- 45:43in behind the scene stuff. Of course.
- 45:45They're working on stuff that we're not.
- 45:46We don't even have any privilege to like.
- 45:48We have no idea. What's going on behind the
- 45:51scenes, like what they're building with those, little UFO,
- 45:54things are like, you know, how heavy are they?
- 45:56Can I just stick one in my yard like, how does Is it work?
- 45:59Do I put in my house? But I put on my roof.
- 46:02You know where the thing attached to is it ugly?
- 46:05You know, we don't eat, we don't know.
- 46:07So You know, they of course, they want to make it look cool
- 46:14because, you know, it's in the Elon Musk company, they have to
- 46:17make it look cool and futuristic and crazy because that'll make
- 46:20people interested in it. A lot of hiring long hours to a
- 46:25SpaceX. People, you have to be a hard
- 46:27hard worker. If you want to work at SpaceX,
- 46:30that's part of the thing. That's part of the gig, you work
- 46:33as SpaceX, you work long hours, if you're not ready for that.
- 46:36If you're not ready to kind of push away your life to like
- 46:39Focus, Making everybody, you know, SpaceX is mission.
- 46:43Of course, is to send people to Mars and make Humanity
- 46:46multiplanetary. But if you're not ready to like,
- 46:50push everything away on Earth and you know, Focus like 100% on
- 46:57your job, then you're probably not the right fit.
- 47:03Is to watch what he says and what he releases.
- 47:05That's why I think he's so hesitant to go public with any
- 47:08other company. I think so too.
- 47:10I think so too. He's doing it right this time
- 47:13because yeah, easily lured a lot learned a lot from Tesla and it
- 47:18took him a while to get used to it because he's just, he's a
- 47:21rich Playboy like no joke, you know, he's he's a rich boy.
- 47:26So he came from a good family, you know, he had money as he was
- 47:31growing up, he never has really struggled at Hard.
- 47:34He made successful companies PayPal excetera, he's had money
- 47:38his whole life. And, you know, of course, he's
- 47:45going to not know the lessons, you know, of how to keep his
- 47:48mouth shut. I wouldn't either if I were him,
- 47:52you know, he's like, what are they gonna do to me?
- 47:54I got all the money in the world.
- 47:56Hey, Ben. How you doing?
- 47:58I would do the same thing, probably.
- 48:01It's probably go. You know, I'm just going to talk
- 48:03about stuff and whatever but there's rules and he learned
- 48:06those rules pretty quickly. So, let's see.
- 48:15Let's see what my My cash app is doing here with my Tesla stock.
- 48:22I bought one dollar and Tesla stock on the cash.
- 48:25You have to see how it worked, right?
- 48:27And I bought my $1 and his down, 12 percent down 12 cents, Oh no,
- 48:34I've lost so much. I was at 83 cents now.
- 48:38Okay so I lost 17 cents. Not cool man, not cool at all
- 48:43lost so much money and Tesla. I was joking.
- 48:47I only lost a couple cents, 17 cents, but right now Deborah he
- 48:52does have vision and he does have Drive-In.
- 48:54He's insanely, insanely creative and insanely driven.
- 48:59So those are the things that are going to make success, you know,
- 49:06it's kind of funny because I work for tech companies, my
- 49:08whole life, you know, in and out of big tech companies, you know,
- 49:14been a contractor for big tech companies as a coder and run my
- 49:20own little companies and A lot of these places are like, we
- 49:25work hard, we play hard. And what that means is that
- 49:29you're going to work 14 hours a day.
- 49:32And then the weekends you're going to get trashed and you're
- 49:35going to forget about your crappy week.
- 49:37Then the, you know, the week before you going to forget about
- 49:40it by getting trashed and just partying all weekend.
- 49:43And, you know, that's kind of that like that the same
- 49:47mentality, but it's a live fast. Die, young kind of mentality.
- 49:52You know, the fast live Hard, do what you got to do, that's why
- 49:55young people started working at SpaceX because I have a lot of
- 49:57energy. Seema Tesla, you know, you're
- 50:01gonna work hard, you're going to, you're going to get your
- 50:03stuff done. And you're going to be here
- 50:04until 8:00 at night every night because we're going to change
- 50:07the world. Like that's the, that's the
- 50:09reason there's a reason to work for these companies.
- 50:12It's not like, you know, you go there to get a job, you go there
- 50:15to change the world, so that's the reason why people get jobs
- 50:19there. Do we have a price per month for
- 50:21service of starlink, not yet, not yet.
- 50:26And once I do figure it out, I'll make sure to let everybody
- 50:30know here, but I gotta go, I'm a little bit over time here about
- 50:3520 minutes overtime. You can do this for about 30
- 50:39minutes but I meant about 50 right now.
- 50:41TJ, you're you're familiar with those long days and weeks.
- 50:45Yeah. And it's tough.
- 50:46I've been that I've been in that situation.
- 50:49I don't want to be in that situation ever again.
- 50:53Sleep. Yeah, Debra exactly.
- 50:56The NASA guy. He didn't really fall asleep,
- 50:58though. I just messing with him that guy
- 51:00right there. We know you are buddy, that guy
- 51:04right there. That guy is fall asleep.
- 51:07Watch. He does move though.
- 51:08He does move. Watching move.
- 51:13Come on, move, buddy. There you go.
- 51:14See, he moves a little bit. Do the SpaceX cheering.
- 51:26TJ is insane. I love it, I love to hear it.
- 51:29I love all that stuff when people are so excited about you
- 51:32know. About changing the world
- 51:35changing Humanity, Sterling said, people, pay $80 a month
- 51:39for crabbing internet and they will fix that.
- 51:41Yes. So it's got to be less than 80,
- 51:44you know, if it's 40 bucks, that would be great.
- 51:53Ilan said it will cost same as other providers.
- 51:54So maybe $50 a month? Yeah, that would be great where
- 51:58I used to live. We were paying 35 a month and we
- 52:00were can really great internet. And then we could upgrade, of
- 52:07course, to $55 seventy dollar packages, where, like, you get
- 52:10super fast crazy internet. So many are stipulating ready
- 52:18month. Yeah, that seems Seems anywhere
- 52:20between like 50 and 80 is a good range for that.
- 52:29That'll be a little sketchy at first, but then it'll get, I
- 52:31think it'll get more reliable. I mean, the more satellites,
- 52:33they have the more reliability. They have to sew each launch
- 52:36will bring more and more reliability to the network is
- 52:40that is on a string. So Bob's up and down.
- 52:45I can see that somebody's like, walking by It's like Weekend at
- 52:50Bernie's if you ever seen that movie, This Is The Weekend at
- 52:53Bernie's guy. All right, everybody.
- 53:03I gotta take off. Thank you so much for hanging
- 53:05out and talking about space, nerdy things, and Tesla things
- 53:08with me, I do appreciate it. Thank you for all those likes.
- 53:11If you like the show, make sure to hit the Thumbs Up Button
- 53:14because It really does help, algorithms that kind of stuff
- 53:23really does help. So thanks everybody appreciate
- 53:25your time, buddy here. For now, we're going to be doing
- 53:27another one of these Wednesday at 4:20 p.m.
- 53:31March 14th. Don't forget Falcon 9.
- 53:33Starling 6 launch in 9:35 a.m. it's a Saturday 9:35 a.m.
- 53:37eastern so we'll do that and I'm working on a Pretty long video,
- 53:44that will be a live stream. And that'll be coming up.
- 53:49Hopefully, maybe after the Wednesday podcast, if I can get
- 53:54it all done because I want to make it a cool thing.
- 53:58Where we can talk about stuff for, you know, 15, 20 minutes,
- 54:02and then I'll be like, hey, check this out.
- 54:04And then Premier that it should be pretty fun.
- 54:06So, I'm working on that today tomorrow, and hopefully get it
- 54:10done by Wednesday because it's pretty long.
- 54:12And it's kind of a might be the longest video that I've done so
- 54:15far. Pretty cool stuff though.
