Eloise Asylum Redux
Like so many other asylums that started in the early 1800s, this was first a poor farm and then became an asylum, sanatorium and psychiatric hospital. At its height, the facility stretched out over 900 acres with 78 buildings, making it the largest psychiatric facility in America. Eloise became a decaying former mental hospital, but is today a haunted attraction with escape rooms and it hosts historical tours and paranormal investigations.
