- 6:46Speaker 6: He's just.
- 6:49Speaker 5: That's that's that's my big brother, Cornell. Casey, it been
- 6:56Speaker 5: it's been a couple of weeks since we heard from you.
- 7:03Speaker 5: Go ahead and introduce yourself.
- 7:08Speaker 6: Well, how you have the one whenever.
- 7:12Speaker 7: Inculcrated over the common the unit from San Antonio, Texas,
- 7:17Speaker 7: some serving a sentence of fifty years. I've been incultibrated
- 7:21Speaker 7: to sixteen years at the time. And it's always because
- 7:25Speaker 7: you look to create your platform and talk to the
- 7:28Speaker 7: individuals out there like to hear me speak.
- 7:30Speaker 4: And also we have of course Cordnells can hear you
- 7:36Speaker 4: as well, Casey.
- 7:40Speaker 6: Big call, how you doing, grow something, how you're doing.
- 7:48Speaker 6: I'm well and I'm alive in location, So kick kick
- 7:52Speaker 6: that in the mind. Okay, yeah, yeah, because.
- 7:56Speaker 7: People were trying to think that you was getting gone
- 7:58Speaker 7: and you can't even get.
- 7:59Speaker 6: Any prends yet. Well, okay, the good wishes is that
- 8:07Speaker 6: I stay here right now, So just keep that in mind. Okay,
- 8:11Speaker 6: does everybody knowing my life? Okay, let's get yeah. Yeah,
- 8:18Speaker 6: they always trying to put.
- 8:23Speaker 4: Okay, so okay, so we don't have long.
- 8:33Speaker 5: With the first half, so we're gonna just jump right
- 8:36Speaker 5: on into it, and I'm gonna read this short statement,
- 8:39Speaker 5: real quick quick. Grief in prison is a complex issue
- 8:45Speaker 5: that can be difficult to process. Prisoners experience grades grief
- 8:51Speaker 5: at a high rate than the general public. Hmm, I
- 8:57Speaker 5: wonder do that. So Casey, let's start.
- 9:04Speaker 6: Let me.
- 9:07Speaker 4: Go about saying.
- 9:10Speaker 3: You are.
- 9:11Speaker 5: You have been in our thoughts and our prayers, and
- 9:16Speaker 5: I send you my condolence your way. Since the last
- 9:20Speaker 5: time we talked the beginning of the year, you had
- 9:26Speaker 5: lost your your mom had transitioned. I don't like using
- 9:31Speaker 5: the word lost, because we haven't lost anything. They just
- 9:36Speaker 5: trans they just transition to the spiritual world.
- 9:46Speaker 6: So transfer already a lot of I believe that, and
- 10:02Speaker 6: it was it was all the thing that it was
- 10:04Speaker 6: hard to go. Ah. So I'm just gonna go through
- 10:09Speaker 6: the three things to tell everyone what happened. Started up
- 10:17Speaker 6: started on thanksgiing and uh, I'm listening to the family.
- 10:23Speaker 8: And we talked it on the phone and the posing on.
- 10:25Speaker 9: My family members and I would listening to everyone less
- 10:28Speaker 9: than and and then it came in my head and
- 10:33Speaker 9: tell me to encoud this time because this is going
- 10:37Speaker 9: to be the last one.
- 10:39Speaker 6: And I kind of shook it up.
- 10:41Speaker 7: I didn't really think nothing about it right then my
- 10:48Speaker 7: piece twenty eight eight, but my family and Christmas, so
- 10:54Speaker 7: my fate was on the shout, and I was thinking
- 10:56Speaker 7: my mother become a business because you know, they told
- 10:59Speaker 7: it to see me, So I didn't when I didn't
- 11:04Speaker 7: get that visiting, I didn't get a visiting slip that
- 11:07Speaker 7: safty I come and you know, my mother, my sisters
- 11:12Speaker 7: they song medn't have to stay because they was all
- 11:14Speaker 7: still because spending the holiday.
- 11:16Speaker 6: Deether with my mother. But my sister told me that
- 11:20Speaker 6: my mother was doing well and that they were going
- 11:23Speaker 6: to be taking it to the hospital.
- 11:25Speaker 7: So then my mother came said the phone and started
- 11:27Speaker 7: sinking me happy birthday, and I was I was rubbing,
- 11:30Speaker 7: I was rubing the vibe. And then that boy said,
- 11:35Speaker 7: you know that the last time you're.
- 11:36Speaker 6: Going to hear this. So she went to the hospital.
- 11:46Speaker 6: When she was in the hospital and then admitted her.
- 11:49Speaker 6: So I talked her on the twenty nine and uh
- 11:56Speaker 6: that nineteen had a stroke. She had a massive stroke
- 12:00Speaker 6: and uh fan and uh.
- 12:09Speaker 3: It was hard.
- 12:10Speaker 8: It's still it is.
- 12:15Speaker 3: Still.
- 12:15Speaker 6: I'm still fit it when you get old because.
- 12:22Speaker 7: Because the regular you don't think about do you think
- 12:26Speaker 7: that you have another moment to create the memories with
- 12:30Speaker 7: the people you love? You think that you have a
- 12:33Speaker 7: do you think you've been able to make it up?
- 12:36Speaker 7: So put the throw with the situation to be in
- 12:40Speaker 7: a cart for me, O me me looking at the
- 12:45Speaker 7: bigger picture of it. I knew it was coming because
- 12:50Speaker 7: my mother was telling me she was five, she's getting
- 12:52Speaker 7: old and she's not fitting the same. But you know,
- 12:57Speaker 7: and then when that boy, I'm listening to that boy,
- 13:00Speaker 7: they kept telling me that this.
- 13:01Speaker 6: Is the last joint.
- 13:03Speaker 7: So now the reality of uh, of of what happened
- 13:08Speaker 7: is there and being across rated.
- 13:12Speaker 6: They won't let you go to the funeral.
- 13:15Speaker 9: Uh, you can't, you can't.
- 13:19Speaker 6: You can't see it because there was live scream for
- 13:25Speaker 6: me to be able to do. But you know, the
- 13:27Speaker 6: happenings they wouldn't hear, so I wasn't able to They
- 13:31Speaker 6: may people figure that it's the holiday time so much
- 13:34Speaker 6: no one here on the unit, so I would I
- 13:37Speaker 6: didn't get to see the funeral, and you know, just
- 13:42Speaker 6: the boy.
- 13:46Speaker 7: They can't be feel because.
- 13:51Speaker 5: Yes, you can go ahead and jump in, Cornell. I
- 13:54Speaker 5: want to jump in right, quick, quick, go ahead, Cornell.
- 14:00Speaker 6: Domestic, Casey, your mother raised me. Your mother is my mother,
- 14:03Speaker 6: and I have always loved your mother. I love your family.
- 14:06Speaker 6: Your family has already been her family. You know, I
- 14:09Speaker 6: have good memories of your mom. That's growing up. I
- 14:12Speaker 6: used to go to your mom's house and always would
- 14:14Speaker 6: always sit me down there and fix me some chicken
- 14:17Speaker 6: and calling and write some stuff. So your mom is
- 14:20Speaker 6: a good mother. She's done her job, Casey. You know,
- 14:24Speaker 6: she's done a beautiful job and having some beautiful kids,
- 14:27Speaker 6: and she raised some beautiful kids. She's in a better place.
- 14:31Speaker 6: She don't have to suffer, nor mother. You don't have
- 14:33Speaker 6: to suffer no more because guess what, brother, Casey, you
- 14:36Speaker 6: have to learn to give, for give everything that you
- 14:39Speaker 6: have done for you know what I'm saying, being in
- 14:41Speaker 6: coourse ready forgives everything that you have been doing your life.
- 14:44Speaker 6: Your mom, she did her job, brother Casey. I understand
- 14:48Speaker 6: this was hurting man, believe me. But guess what she's
- 14:51Speaker 6: looking down on y'all smiling because she know one thing, Casey,
- 14:54Speaker 6: she did her job. She's proud of herself. So be
- 14:57Speaker 6: proud of your mother. Cases is of a better life.
- 15:00Speaker 6: Just try to get yourself out of the situation and live, Casey.
- 15:04Speaker 6: You have to live. You want you to stay strong
- 15:06Speaker 6: for her as well as your family because the Lord's
- 15:08Speaker 6: gonna bless you, catch case to come out of this situation. Yeah,
- 15:12Speaker 6: to stay strong and stay talk with and believe in
- 15:15Speaker 6: Missing that Angela and the whole cool podcast, Casey, Brother,
- 15:18Speaker 6: they keep you in their players and they keep you
- 15:21Speaker 6: talk and they talk about you all the time, believe you.
- 15:24Speaker 6: So always keep in touch with them to let them
- 15:27Speaker 6: know you appreciate this, brother, Casey, You do that always. Always.
- 15:32Speaker 6: I appreciate, I appreciate the love and the.
- 15:36Speaker 7: Consuls and it's like that is. It's the hard. It's
- 15:41Speaker 7: the hard people to swallow when you when you need
- 15:44Speaker 7: food and a lot of a lot of people gonna
- 15:47Speaker 7: think about the fact that you know, life goes on
- 15:50Speaker 7: even though that we seem like that we're in a
- 15:53Speaker 7: time that time and you know, andybody else is, you know,
- 16:02Speaker 7: and you know, like like deaths is part of it
- 16:05Speaker 7: is part of the perience of being a human. And
- 16:07Speaker 7: you don't mean but it's like, you know, nothing that
- 16:12Speaker 7: can replace.
- 16:13Speaker 6: The presidence of a mother. There's nothing can the presidence
- 16:18Speaker 6: of a time.
- 16:19Speaker 7: You know, when you're a father or mother and you
- 16:22Speaker 7: have a child and your time block. I mean when
- 16:25Speaker 7: your child oh home no.
- 16:27Speaker 6: Matter why, and it's feel painful because you know the
- 16:34Speaker 6: place nobody's never going to do it like like father
- 16:40Speaker 6: doing it.
- 16:41Speaker 7: You know, the love for a time, regarding of the
- 16:45Speaker 7: foolish choices and decisions that he makes, He's always gonna
- 16:49Speaker 7: be there. She's gonna be on a love and it's
- 16:53Speaker 7: always a condition. And there's no one that can pression
- 16:56Speaker 7: and replace that love that a mother gives to her son.
- 17:00Speaker 6: You know, I'm the middle.
- 17:01Speaker 7: Child and a lot of people just look at me like,
- 17:04Speaker 7: you know what if my mother.
- 17:06Speaker 6: Asked me to do to do. She asked me to
- 17:09Speaker 6: cut her grabs.
- 17:10Speaker 7: I'm coming coming to cut up grabs. When when I
- 17:13Speaker 7: was joking up my mother, you know, just take me
- 17:15Speaker 7: to the watch watch wat material and we I used
- 17:21Speaker 7: to go and watch post with her, and she said, baby,
- 17:24Speaker 7: I'm gonna see you because you ain't gonna want to student.
- 17:33Speaker 4: Let me, you know, can I jump in? I want
- 17:38Speaker 4: to jump in right foot because I wanna because I
- 17:42Speaker 4: know you.
- 17:42Speaker 3: You are our brother.
- 17:44Speaker 4: Case he can go, he can go, he can go.
- 17:50Speaker 5: So I just wanted to jump in. Everything you said
- 17:53Speaker 5: was was true. We had a conversation this morning, and
- 17:59Speaker 5: you was telling me about one night that you was
- 18:05Speaker 5: talking to one of the.
- 18:08Speaker 6: Was it the.
- 18:11Speaker 7: Like a minister, the pil the field ministers, the woman
- 18:16Speaker 7: who they trained, it makes they trained in order to
- 18:19Speaker 7: be like uh like chapter or reverend or you know
- 18:25Speaker 7: someone that's been the spiritual to be at counsel or
- 18:30Speaker 7: so to go help with brother.
- 18:31Speaker 3: And be be happing a monty you.
- 18:33Speaker 6: Know because you know shorts and now to the doing
- 18:39Speaker 6: the job at his office but not get paid.
- 18:42Speaker 4: Okay, so let's let's we're gonna go back to the
- 18:49Speaker 4: to the that that moment when you said that you
- 18:53Speaker 4: went to him.
- 18:53Speaker 5: Yes, when you went to him and you was pouring
- 18:57Speaker 5: your you know, you was letting him know what was
- 18:59Speaker 5: going on with at you and he really didn't have
- 19:02Speaker 5: no compassion. He didn't even have the words to to
- 19:06Speaker 5: tell you. So my question is, when you guys are
- 19:10Speaker 5: going through grief, do the clergy come in there and
- 19:16Speaker 5: talk to you. Guys, sit down and talk to you,
- 19:22Speaker 5: let us know what how how that process is.
- 19:26Speaker 6: Let me tell you what. Uh when my mother passed,
- 19:29Speaker 6: they called up, they called him. He don't call me out,
- 19:33Speaker 6: You don't call.
- 19:33Speaker 7: Me to talk to me.
- 19:35Speaker 6: Uh. I restopped him so that I can be able
- 19:38Speaker 6: to talk to my family. His wife, you know, Chapman's
- 19:42Speaker 6: wife was a little more considered and she was uh
- 19:47Speaker 6: hum when I called when I was listening.
- 19:51Speaker 7: But you know, the field ministers, I feel like they
- 19:55Speaker 7: let empathy, they lot compassion, and they let they is
- 19:58Speaker 7: to discommit with them with individuals because I feel like
- 20:02Speaker 7: that they they got an image they got to portray
- 20:06Speaker 7: before that goal and let me let me cut let me.
- 20:12Speaker 5: Jump in right quick, because you said something that I'm
- 20:17Speaker 5: trying to and you also said it in a letter
- 20:20Speaker 5: that you wrote me, and also when we spoke to
- 20:24Speaker 5: this morning that you said something about a gangster, that
- 20:28Speaker 5: he's a gangster Christian and what you know, what what
- 20:31Speaker 5: do you mean about that?
- 20:32Speaker 4: Can you elaborate on that?
- 20:34Speaker 5: Or these are just are these actually ministers or these
- 20:40Speaker 5: are just people that has a.
- 20:46Speaker 4: Have just learning the the Word of God. I mean,
- 20:53Speaker 4: I'm kind of confused.
- 20:56Speaker 10: What what when I'm saying When I'm saying that when
- 21:00Speaker 10: Christians is the God that you know, he feels like
- 21:04Speaker 10: his reputation or who he is or who he's supposed
- 21:08Speaker 10: to have let go of, it's still a positive lifestyle
- 21:12Speaker 10: and he's still like, you betray me being something that
- 21:17Speaker 10: you really not that you're not being supposed to be.
- 21:20Speaker 6: So if you're riding, if you're riding in Christ and
- 21:23Speaker 6: you riding to be a Christians and you own this
- 21:25Speaker 6: level that this is what you do because you sposed
- 21:27Speaker 6: consider you're supposed to be serving of God. If you're
- 21:30Speaker 6: serving of God, you're supposed to lay down aniliation of
- 21:34Speaker 6: your past life and you're supposed to hustle yourself on
- 21:37Speaker 6: the cercainstances. What the other's deficual? If someone is in
- 21:40Speaker 6: need you're supposed to provide yourself as the service to
- 21:44Speaker 6: be able to console, to consul, and to give the
- 21:50Speaker 6: curacy and positive first when someone is going through something
- 21:54Speaker 6: as trash as do in a family member, I believe
- 21:57Speaker 6: that's the lack of empathy and the lack of self.
- 22:00Speaker 6: But there's the there's a lack of of of a
- 22:04Speaker 6: cultural distance with other individuals that's not like you. And
- 22:08Speaker 6: I'm just being straight with that because that's what I
- 22:10Speaker 6: felt I was. I had to shut it off because
- 22:15Speaker 6: you know, I'm gonna be real at this time I'm
- 22:18Speaker 6: feeling now, my tears ain't for everybody. Everybody to sell me.
- 22:23Speaker 7: Ain't supposed to see me when when when when I'm
- 22:27Speaker 7: in and when I'm in my friends and my most
- 22:31Speaker 7: I'm not supposed to open my heart to let everybody
- 22:33Speaker 7: see the tears that I have from put the people
- 22:37Speaker 7: in the humble because you don't understand what they're coming from.
- 22:41Speaker 7: So if you can't understand what that's coming from and
- 22:43Speaker 7: you can't relate to something like that, I feel like
- 22:46Speaker 7: that you to being in.
- 22:48Speaker 6: You should never take the plans or put getting in
- 22:50Speaker 6: the sun. You're gonna put it into work because when
- 22:56Speaker 6: you put in the work.
- 22:57Speaker 7: You're there to help people to change there alive. You're
- 23:01Speaker 7: supposed to be taking the divisiupposed to be in order
- 23:04Speaker 7: to your interest society.
- 23:07Speaker 6: And it's a different in change in the visions because
- 23:09Speaker 6: the bobble I always speaks up and you try.
- 23:11Speaker 7: To do creation when you can take on the formal price.
- 23:14Speaker 7: So if you're taking on a formal price, people pation
- 23:17Speaker 7: and you're still holding on to paying things your part,
- 23:21Speaker 7: you're a hypocrite and you're not.
- 23:22Speaker 8: Who can say you are?
- 23:23Speaker 6: You know?
- 23:24Speaker 7: And and and that w That's how I took it,
- 23:27Speaker 7: and it can be set down.
- 23:29Speaker 6: But it also made me bitter.
- 23:32Speaker 7: It made me have a different tection on things about
- 23:35Speaker 7: the prison and where I'm at now you know this,
- 23:38Speaker 7: maybe just ILOs holds out.
- 23:41Speaker 4: Like I'm saying, so Cornell, he has a question.
- 23:49Speaker 6: Okay, we don't have much time. So here's a how
- 23:53Speaker 6: are you holding him up? And what's he doing to
- 23:58Speaker 6: keep yourself from while I'm very confined with them In
- 24:01Speaker 6: one of the persons from on a Thaily basis, Uh
- 24:07Speaker 6: right now, you know, right now, I'm I'm going to
- 24:10Speaker 6: a fast you know, I practice is law and I
- 24:14Speaker 6: feel I feel better connecting there right now with the
- 24:17Speaker 6: person that I'm drawing in my brother, they.
- 24:19Speaker 7: Being press Uh when who here was here? O? The
- 24:23Speaker 7: top fell straight up. You know, there's certainly any business
- 24:26Speaker 7: that you you become family in there, because like you say,
- 24:30Speaker 7: that was sixty years from my family. But certainly the
- 24:33Speaker 7: business that surround yourself.
- 24:34Speaker 6: With anyway you get coold from them. They from your
- 24:37Speaker 6: little brothers, your nephews and family them or they would
- 24:40Speaker 6: come like a big brother to me. So that's why
- 24:42Speaker 6: I looked at him like that. And we got history
- 24:45Speaker 6: from you know, my family, my my mother have passed
- 24:48Speaker 6: for all the people that that reput into my home,
- 24:51Speaker 6: and like say, we eat together. We slept in the
- 24:54Speaker 6: little state each other, the homes and stuff. That's what
- 24:57Speaker 6: it was when we resol That's how it was. And
- 24:59Speaker 6: that type of memory your family.
- 25:01Speaker 7: But I'm holding enough, you know, you know, dark builder,
- 25:08Speaker 7: and you know I cherished the speriments that I have
- 25:11Speaker 7: with my mother. I got, I got dear memories of them,
- 25:14Speaker 7: and uh I hold right now.
- 25:16Speaker 3: And uh I just.
- 25:19Speaker 5: So right now do they have do do they offer
- 25:25Speaker 5: counseling to have you reached out to your counselor to
- 25:30Speaker 5: see if you can get counseling.
- 25:34Speaker 6: I'm gonna be I gotta be, uh, just some transparency
- 25:38Speaker 6: with so I'm always.
- 25:39Speaker 7: Gonna keep it, really keep the one hundred. So we
- 25:43Speaker 7: have we have a counselor there the Hispanics. So even
- 25:47Speaker 7: when I with them, I can't share everything with them
- 25:51Speaker 7: because they don't relieve, you relate when they see a
- 25:54Speaker 7: wrong man that has trouble money right, the traumas going
- 25:59Speaker 7: up and as a kids, you know, seeing the thing
- 26:02Speaker 7: in ourselves, you know, singing, and then the life experiences
- 26:06Speaker 7: that I have gone through as the Pome and become
- 26:10Speaker 7: a man. I have a town so and my phone
- 26:14Speaker 7: is puking in.
- 26:15Speaker 6: Times pome experiences that I had in life. So I
- 26:19Speaker 6: have times, well, I've had anxiety, I had an attack.
- 26:24Speaker 7: My whole body locked up because of sometimes head and
- 26:28Speaker 7: I cried when I was fifty, when I'm putty, I cried.
- 26:33Speaker 7: I cried for over an hour and a half from
- 26:35Speaker 7: stuff that I'm kecked up inside.
- 26:37Speaker 6: Of me and I needed to release.
- 26:40Speaker 7: When I'm tind of talking to individuals who says that
- 26:42Speaker 7: they are counselor who says that they're supposed to be
- 26:45Speaker 7: to his apartment that you can't provide me with the
- 26:49Speaker 7: service to help me to to to to people to
- 26:52Speaker 7: pit the pain that I got got inside of me.
- 26:56Speaker 7: And then when I opened up, you can't relate to
- 26:59Speaker 7: pre practice man. Sometimes in front of you, you can't
- 27:02Speaker 7: struct the stereo type that I'm supposed to be strong.
- 27:05Speaker 6: I'm not.
- 27:06Speaker 7: No, I'm not a true man.
- 27:07Speaker 6: I told you this very miss Johnson, that my heart
- 27:11Speaker 6: is not mad to steal. It's human. I bleed my heart.
- 27:16Speaker 6: My heart pleads blood and blood. So there's no way
- 27:20Speaker 6: that I'm going to them trying to step in the thing.
- 27:22Speaker 6: The times I feel like the chryst the night around me,
- 27:24Speaker 6: his digitivisions the pen and it coops me out from
- 27:28Speaker 6: being who I'm supposed to be. I'm trying to grow.
- 27:31Speaker 6: I'm trying to become the thing what I was time
- 27:34Speaker 6: to be, coming in trust and so know that I
- 27:37Speaker 6: got to surround myself to every individual cooled.
- 27:40Speaker 7: To become that individual that I know I'm supposed to be.
- 27:43Speaker 7: I take classes, I do a lot of things. I
- 27:46Speaker 7: can prove the space that I have in order for
- 27:49Speaker 7: me to be the man that I know that God
- 27:53Speaker 7: intended me to be. And then I know that I
- 27:56Speaker 7: got as that to be that man that my men, you.
- 28:01Speaker 3: Know, right, So you know.
- 28:06Speaker 5: I'm gonna give I'm gonna let Cornel go ahead and
- 28:09Speaker 5: ask you a question because I can.
- 28:12Speaker 4: Hear him want to jump in.
- 28:14Speaker 5: And then also before we leave, before you leave us,
- 28:19Speaker 5: I would like for you to read a poem that
- 28:23Speaker 5: you had.
- 28:25Speaker 2: Did.
- 28:27Speaker 4: Go ahead, Corney Hope.
- 28:30Speaker 6: Thank. My question is this, are you saying in contact
- 28:34Speaker 6: with your spiritual side to know that that's the right
- 28:38Speaker 6: way to go in order to humble yourself, you know,
- 28:41Speaker 6: to what you have been through, brother Hayc in order
- 28:44Speaker 6: to not do something you know that you feel all
- 28:47Speaker 6: the anger and hurt from losing your mother. Are you
- 28:49Speaker 6: connecting with your spiritual self to humble yourself? That's what
- 28:53Speaker 6: my question is. I'm stitching up the old of myself
- 29:01Speaker 6: and I've reached out to people. People given about the
- 29:05Speaker 6: field minutes the program right now because it starts to
- 29:10Speaker 6: be so bad, yea, that I couldn't vote someone like that.
- 29:15Speaker 6: So I'm in a good spot right down there. It
- 29:19Speaker 6: really kind of up. They opened up mom to the fighting.
- 29:24Speaker 6: You know, I never can be picked up on on
- 29:27Speaker 6: on the trouble trying to regain my freedom, because I
- 29:30Speaker 6: feel like I was really finished. But you know, my
- 29:35Speaker 6: fight is the fight, and you know, my place for the.
- 29:39Speaker 5: Sup So you because I hear a lot of pain
- 29:45Speaker 5: and I know it because also well because of what
- 29:49Speaker 5: I dealt with over these last past months going on
- 29:53Speaker 5: two years, well it'll be two years in November, and
- 30:00Speaker 5: how I dealt with some of the grief. Sometimes I
- 30:04Speaker 5: do cry, you know, because that hurt that is still there.
- 30:09Speaker 5: But I also write, you know, I also put it,
- 30:14Speaker 5: starting to put my feelings on papers, trying, you know,
- 30:20Speaker 5: seeing it.
- 30:22Speaker 3: So what have you have?
- 30:25Speaker 4: What have you been doing?
- 30:26Speaker 5: How do you besides bottle on the emotion up inside
- 30:32Speaker 5: of you? Are your feelings? How are you getting through
- 30:38Speaker 5: with it?
- 30:41Speaker 6: I write, I think it's the way for me. Oh words,
- 30:55Speaker 6: that I'm something. I'm gonna shit with people before before
- 31:01Speaker 6: my time run out. Tears for my mother. It's called
- 31:06Speaker 6: kills for my mother. Uh God. Every day seems the same,
- 31:12Speaker 6: like the state of Seattle, gloom and pain. The emotional
- 31:16Speaker 6: road coasters see strong, consumed and pain. Looking at the photos,
- 31:22Speaker 6: it's hard, you know. So there's no there's no easy way.
- 31:28Speaker 7: To practice Creek. There's no medication to prescribe for relief.
- 31:33Speaker 7: So God, I continue to talk to you until I'm
- 31:36Speaker 7: able to find a way to evolve and move on.
- 31:40Speaker 7: But right now, all that scene is possible. And I
- 31:43Speaker 7: missed the boy talking to her, hearing hearing the ladder,
- 31:48Speaker 7: seeing that smile on her face, and other other that
- 31:53Speaker 7: was so strong in company. One thing you would one
- 31:58Speaker 7: called her home And I had to be strong for
- 32:02Speaker 7: my family, my sister.
- 32:04Speaker 6: My brother. Huh, there will never be another God. I
- 32:10Speaker 6: really my mother.
- 32:12Speaker 4: Wow, that was beautiful. Caseee, you know that was beautiful.
- 32:23Speaker 4: That was beautiful.
- 32:24Speaker 5: And once again I would just like to give you,
- 32:29Speaker 5: send you my condolencens and a great big hug from California.
- 32:36Speaker 5: You know, always look to the hills what comes your health.
- 32:46Speaker 5: You know, never lose sight of.
- 32:52Speaker 4: Your journey. I can tell you that I did lose sight.
- 32:58Speaker 4: I did let Uh.
- 33:00Speaker 5: The loss of my son overwhelmed me. And I can
- 33:05Speaker 5: hear hear it in your voice how much you miss
- 33:08Speaker 5: your mom. And I know you just a couple of
- 33:10Speaker 5: months out from your mom transitioning. My my advice for
- 33:20Speaker 5: you is, I know you said you don't like emotions,
- 33:25Speaker 5: but and and in a situation that you are in,
- 33:32Speaker 5: It's all right to fill your emotions, you know, even
- 33:36Speaker 5: if you have to just get a piece of paper
- 33:38Speaker 5: and a pen and just write it, just you know,
- 33:41Speaker 5: feel them. You know, it's all right to feel, you know.
- 33:46Speaker 5: Don't don't let it be bottled up and you release it.
- 33:51Speaker 5: Don't stay there.
- 33:53Speaker 4: And I hear that we only have one minute.
- 33:55Speaker 5: I'm gonna give you the last minute or a second
- 33:59Speaker 5: to say something. But I would like for you to
- 34:01Speaker 5: keep in touch with me, Casey.
- 34:04Speaker 6: Already, your family, your family you know how adopted you
- 34:07Speaker 6: as as as as one of my sisters. So that's
- 34:10Speaker 6: what it is.
- 34:14Speaker 7: You say, and we can.
- 34:19Speaker 8: Yes, but you know, yes and uh and and I
- 34:25Speaker 8: appreciate already do yeah, I appreciate even being that talking.
- 34:30Speaker 6: About my mother and my experience on briefing. We all
- 34:33Speaker 6: go through it. But I'll tell you what going a
- 34:36Speaker 6: line to see the beauty of how life is and
- 34:40Speaker 6: what we come from. Uh and uh, these things they're
- 34:45Speaker 6: going to be both human life and then but I
- 34:47Speaker 6: appreciate you. Goodbye.
- 34:51Speaker 3: Okay. So that was Casey.
- 34:54Speaker 4: Everyone he paid account.
- 35:01Speaker 5: He's constantly, he's currently in concerated in Texas and he
- 35:09Speaker 5: just lost his mom. I believe in January. But now
- 35:13Speaker 5: we're gonna switch to a switch in another gear. We
- 35:18Speaker 5: done talked about grief, and now I have my co
- 35:24Speaker 5: hosts back with me, and I believe mister Bernard. I
- 35:29Speaker 5: don't know if he's gonna call in or how that's
- 35:32Speaker 5: gonna work. He's also incarcerated in Texas. He's currently in
- 35:38Speaker 5: the Domingus unit. He have received he was he received.
- 35:47Speaker 4: Parole.
- 35:48Speaker 5: He was granted parole which was FI six, and they
- 35:53Speaker 5: moved him into the program. So now since he done
- 35:57Speaker 5: completed the program, they still holding me. They saying that he.
- 36:04Speaker 4: Didn't receive that he didn't complete it. It's just a
- 36:08Speaker 4: whole lot going on.
- 36:10Speaker 5: So I'm gonna have Cornell kind of touch on that
- 36:14Speaker 5: before mister Bernard chime in.
- 36:18Speaker 6: Okay, yes, ma'am, okay, I too have to placed into
- 36:24Speaker 6: this FI six Rebilitation Restrictive program. And the program is
- 36:29Speaker 6: managed by the Management Training Corporation, which is contracting with
- 36:35Speaker 6: the State of Taxes. And these individuals are somehow contact
- 36:39Speaker 6: contracted with the Parole Board. The Parole Board system here
- 36:42Speaker 6: will put you in this program as a form of rehabilitation. Okay,
- 36:47Speaker 6: we'll give you an FI six. It's supposed to be
- 36:49Speaker 6: a six month program. So today I get the role.
- 36:53Speaker 6: They'll give me a three month exensing day to be
- 36:55Speaker 6: at the program. But if I can't get at the
- 36:57Speaker 6: program for the three months, if I go pack have
- 37:00Speaker 6: four months from there they'll take that help got six program.
- 37:07Speaker 6: So with that.
- 37:10Speaker 11: Being recorded and the subject to monitoring, to accept this
- 37:14Speaker 11: free calls one.
- 37:16Speaker 4: I'm sorry about that, Cornell.
- 37:18Speaker 6: Thank you for.
- 37:20Speaker 3: You may start the conversation.
- 37:21Speaker 4: Now, okay, go ahead, Cornell finish.
- 37:26Speaker 6: Okay, So now instead of having a half FIU six,
- 37:29Speaker 6: you got enough by TV. So now what's having so
- 37:32Speaker 6: many secrets? Have waited for year till you get to
- 37:34Speaker 6: the program, and then they have to do another six months,
- 37:37Speaker 6: then they have to do another two months after being
- 37:40Speaker 6: a cruise of parole man. So now some of these
- 37:42Speaker 6: guys have completed the program and the parole board has
- 37:47Speaker 6: not given them a release there and now the program
- 37:50Speaker 6: is saying that they don't have no other ways of
- 37:53Speaker 6: helping me gods get out of the program extipt through
- 37:56Speaker 6: the rot through the parole board. The roller board saying
- 37:59Speaker 6: that they don't have a competent application from this facility
- 38:03Speaker 6: for the individual inmates. So now the problem is that
- 38:06Speaker 6: these people are being hell, even they're parole, they are
- 38:11Speaker 6: being approved, completient, they are being completed within the program. Man,
- 38:16Speaker 6: how will let father Bernard come on and tell his
- 38:18Speaker 6: story about his experiences with what's going on with his situation.
- 38:22Speaker 5: Man, Okay, so we right now we have Joshua Bernard
- 38:27Speaker 5: that's getting ready to join us.
- 38:31Speaker 4: Mister Bernard, Hey, how are you?
- 38:36Speaker 6: How are you? O'm bliss?
- 38:39Speaker 11: It's quite one lord, dude, So.
- 38:44Speaker 5: Given introduce yourself. Let us know a little about mister
- 38:48Speaker 5: Joshua Bernard.
- 38:52Speaker 6: Uh, just an outboy, you know, I mean, going working family.
- 39:02Speaker 11: Man.
- 39:03Speaker 6: You know, I had a four kids and.
- 39:08Speaker 11: Just trying to get back to it right now, just
- 39:11Speaker 11: you know, going through something with the four home people
- 39:15Speaker 11: right now. I mean I really don't know what's going
- 39:19Speaker 11: on really, to be honest, Like I mean, I've been
- 39:23Speaker 11: finished with this program.
- 39:27Speaker 6: Going on three months now. A week from today, there
- 39:31Speaker 6: be three hunds that I've been finished with this program.
- 39:36Speaker 6: And out of everybody I call.
- 39:38Speaker 11: From Huntersville to outstay to the part of the county
- 39:43Speaker 11: I'm trying to go to, I mean, nobody could tell
- 39:46Speaker 11: me exactly what I waiting out. They said that they
- 39:49Speaker 11: waiting a little certificate from this program. Program people told
- 39:54Speaker 11: me they shad certificate off. Like, I'm just I never
- 39:59Speaker 11: had talk to the right person that can give me
- 40:03Speaker 11: the information to let me know what I'm waiting on.
- 40:07Speaker 4: Okay, so have.
- 40:11Speaker 5: Because I know we had talked a couple of times
- 40:14Speaker 5: about this situation.
- 40:16Speaker 4: What was going on with you?
- 40:18Speaker 5: And have any other men that was in the same
- 40:23Speaker 5: class as you that have they been released or are
- 40:28Speaker 5: they still there?
- 40:31Speaker 6: Yeah, like people that's been coming through the program like
- 40:35Speaker 6: I've been.
- 40:35Speaker 11: It is gone right here going on nine months and
- 40:41Speaker 11: it's like the father though, like once these people is finishing,
- 40:45Speaker 11: they is really going on, Like you don't think I
- 40:49Speaker 11: address and stuff for food and they're not waiting on
- 40:52Speaker 11: on halfway house. It's not taking no longer than maybe
- 40:57Speaker 11: thirty weeks for them to be gone.
- 40:59Speaker 6: So CEMO changed.
- 41:02Speaker 2: It's just.
- 41:04Speaker 6: I don't know what my situation is.
- 41:06Speaker 11: Why I'm caught up what I did file for interstate contact.
- 41:10Speaker 11: But I do have an address too, like I didn't.
- 41:15Speaker 11: It wouldn't matter which when I go to. I'm just
- 41:19Speaker 11: want to get about a enterr, you know what I mean.
- 41:22Speaker 5: So when you said interstate that you put in for
- 41:26Speaker 5: to go to another state once upon release.
- 41:32Speaker 11: Yeah, back to louis I am from Lake Child.
- 41:36Speaker 6: And when I talked to the people from.
- 41:40Speaker 11: Parole when I actually made parole, they told me that
- 41:46Speaker 11: interstate having a physical address.
- 41:49Speaker 6: Put it and waiting on the healthway house and then.
- 41:52Speaker 11: See only the reasons why I put in for an
- 41:56Speaker 11: interstate company. That way I can be able to go
- 42:01Speaker 11: straight to my house. I wouldn't have to deal with
- 42:04Speaker 11: trying to find a job in Texas and just trying
- 42:08Speaker 11: to find a house like I mean, I would be
- 42:10Speaker 11: living with someone. But and to be really inconvenience being that,
- 42:16Speaker 11: you know, I have family where I'm from and I
- 42:19Speaker 11: have a house to go to my home.
- 42:22Speaker 6: Do you who somebody else?
- 42:25Speaker 5: Do you know if they have got in touch with
- 42:30Speaker 5: parole in Louisiana and have anyone went and checked out
- 42:35Speaker 5: the address that you put on your nstate.
- 42:38Speaker 11: Transfer Louisiana still awaiting no Texas like they I had
- 42:46Speaker 11: my people go to grow people in Louisiana and they
- 42:51Speaker 11: do not have any paperboards from Texas concerning me. Like,
- 42:58Speaker 11: I don't know what's the whole of you know, I've been.
- 43:01Speaker 6: Trying to reach out to hire people like chairmans and
- 43:05Speaker 6: uh uh this Chris Carter guy.
- 43:09Speaker 11: I think it is supposed to be over the things,
- 43:12Speaker 11: but like I haven't been able to reach in them
- 43:15Speaker 11: or anybody else, like someone that can really want me
- 43:19Speaker 11: in the right direction and tell me exactly what I'm
- 43:21Speaker 11: waiting on. I got to throw people on this union.
- 43:26Speaker 11: They I have such them four five, six sixes. I've
- 43:31Speaker 11: never received any of them banks and will tell me
- 43:34Speaker 11: nothing about like what my situation is or what I'm
- 43:38Speaker 11: waiting on.
- 43:38Speaker 4: What you know what I'm saying.
- 43:41Speaker 6: Like I've seen you know, answers leaves looker than me.
- 43:46Speaker 11: They going to halfway Houn.
- 43:49Speaker 3: So yeah, and they.
- 43:51Speaker 5: Told you that, They told you having a permanent address
- 43:57Speaker 5: will be faster than going to a halfway house.
- 44:03Speaker 11: Yeah, they said any physical answers don't matter where I said,
- 44:08Speaker 11: will be quoting and waiting on the half for him.
- 44:14Speaker 11: That's that was the whole reason why I put in
- 44:16Speaker 11: for for me to go back, actually go back home,
- 44:21Speaker 11: because I wasn't standing tick when I caught my choice.
- 44:25Speaker 11: I was actually living as I was answered in.
- 44:30Speaker 5: So did you try did they bring you from Louisiana
- 44:34Speaker 5: to Texas to were you just for you to serve
- 44:39Speaker 5: your sentence.
- 44:44Speaker 2: Yes, ma'am.
- 44:45Speaker 11: Uh I was bought well, actually, my god, I ain't
- 44:51Speaker 11: got fulled over.
- 44:52Speaker 2: Uh.
- 44:53Speaker 6: After I caught my charges and I was already in,
- 44:56Speaker 6: so they told me that I had a warm.
- 45:00Speaker 11: Particulously out weighed in Louisiana's to come hip.
- 45:07Speaker 3: Take Okay, So yes, okay.
- 45:19Speaker 6: You know through a situation, you got a lot of
- 45:21Speaker 6: other guys to be also facing the same situations within
- 45:25Speaker 6: the same program. And you know, I would like to
- 45:30Speaker 6: I can get five minutes for the guy who's facing
- 45:32Speaker 6: the same situation and tell him to tell his story.
- 45:35Speaker 10: The same way.
- 45:36Speaker 3: If you don't mind me, he is, okay.
- 45:40Speaker 6: Okay, Uh yeah, I got over a here ago. I
- 45:50Speaker 6: mean I did it. Put me in a change and
- 45:51Speaker 6: got their changes, and they told me what's gonna change
- 45:55Speaker 6: my page? Well, if I was supposed to leave my
- 45:59Speaker 6: you a September feet and I think that's September. But
- 46:03Speaker 6: I stayed at Huntsville for a month and a hand
- 46:06Speaker 6: before I got here. When I got here that they
- 46:09Speaker 6: only led me six months. This chart going to ask
- 46:11Speaker 6: the home by six program, So I tell her was
- 46:15Speaker 6: the purpose? We can a parole if you're want to
- 46:17Speaker 6: give me a program and you're not gonna let me
- 46:19Speaker 6: go home until after this. Well, my wife count My
- 46:23Speaker 6: wife had a paroloficer going to a home visit to
- 46:26Speaker 6: take the house, got to sign the papers to get
- 46:28Speaker 6: a box put into the house.
- 46:31Speaker 11: And I'm still here.
- 46:32Speaker 6: So she called the Parola office and told her if
- 46:36Speaker 6: if the program lost, that's a letter saying that you
- 46:39Speaker 6: have no time to this program. Successfully. You know they'll
- 46:44Speaker 6: they'll change.
- 46:45Speaker 3: These people are telling me.
- 46:51Speaker 6: That I have to uh, they have to write. Well,
- 46:56Speaker 6: Paro is telling us a whole different story. So like
- 47:00Speaker 6: I said that what's the purpose of to be into
- 47:02Speaker 6: this program and holding this book open? But the sixth
- 47:06Speaker 6: month was that I'm here and I'm discharging. But you
- 47:09Speaker 6: can give it to somebody who's got two years, three years,
- 47:11Speaker 6: four years, five years of parole left. I don't have
- 47:14Speaker 6: nothing left when I finished this program. I don't even
- 47:16Speaker 6: finish the program. I finished the program, made twenty fifth
- 47:20Speaker 6: of discharge, made twenty second.
- 47:23Speaker 3: So what what they did?
- 47:26Speaker 6: So?
- 47:27Speaker 5: I just wanted to jump down right, What do you
- 47:30Speaker 5: do you think the reason is why they holding you
- 47:34Speaker 5: guys behind longer once you guys finished the program.
- 47:41Speaker 6: Money, That's what I think It is exactly because there's
- 47:46Speaker 6: there was another gentleman here that just got moving to
- 47:48Speaker 6: the other side of the unit. He's been here nine
- 47:51Speaker 6: months already. He finished six months ago. He's been here
- 47:54Speaker 6: three months. He got accepted to a halfway house. He
- 47:58Speaker 6: got he sent the exhibitions letter to the parole. When
- 48:01Speaker 6: parole got it, they showed that he was still on
- 48:02Speaker 6: the roster. They never took that gentlemen off the roster,
- 48:05Speaker 6: so he lost his half playoff. Wow. So man and
- 48:11Speaker 6: these councilors, they ain't got No, they haven't been through
- 48:13Speaker 6: what we've been through. There's only one. All the other
- 48:16Speaker 6: ones are running there his life because the other ones
- 48:19Speaker 6: that the feomle like twenty years old. She ain't been
- 48:22Speaker 6: through what we've been through. She don't know about no drugs,
- 48:25Speaker 6: no prison of time. She's all new. That is they're
- 48:30Speaker 6: going to ask us, what do you want to talk about?
- 48:33Speaker 6: It don't make no sense. Well you should be talking about.
- 48:36Speaker 4: Right, And that's one thing that me.
- 48:38Speaker 5: And Cortnell talk about talk about is about you know
- 48:43Speaker 5: I we want to know what programs are they providing
- 48:46Speaker 5: for you guys. They're saying that you had to complete
- 48:48Speaker 5: up a program before your release. But what are what
- 48:56Speaker 5: life skills are they providing?
- 48:59Speaker 6: No, I'll tell you what I'll do. I'll tell you
- 49:04Speaker 6: my bunk to see vall dues program. I'm discharged. It
- 49:08Speaker 6: don't matter to me. They're holding me. Basically, they could
- 49:12Speaker 6: just sign the face right right or call parole to look,
- 49:15Speaker 6: mister Molina does not have enough time to finish this program.
- 49:18Speaker 6: We take it into our best knowledge for him to
- 49:20Speaker 6: take counseling or something outside and give it to somebody
- 49:24Speaker 6: that still have and then we you know, these people
- 49:28Speaker 6: that got that got parole, they still have to do
- 49:29Speaker 6: it outside. So it's a purple in.
- 49:31Speaker 3: Taking it, you know.
- 49:34Speaker 6: And this is this is a private owned, private owned
- 49:36Speaker 6: uh uh program. This isn't even TDCD. It's their TC
- 49:43Speaker 6: not only that we got Twitter do don't even work.
- 49:47Speaker 4: Yeah, I've been here and that, yeah, you know you
- 49:52Speaker 4: flush it.
- 49:52Speaker 6: He comes out the great into the neighborhood.
- 49:57Speaker 4: Yeah, I've been I've been here and about that. It
- 50:01Speaker 4: is only one toilet for what is it? Fifty man's
- 50:06Speaker 4: on that unit?
- 50:09Speaker 3: Eight people, oh, fifty eight people toilet.
- 50:13Speaker 6: Yeah, we were yesterday we were down to note pot.
- 50:16Speaker 4: Wow yeh wow wow. And then it's only one shower
- 50:22Speaker 4: for fifty eight men.
- 50:25Speaker 6: Just man the other the like when you walk into
- 50:30Speaker 6: our pardect the whole left side of shut shut down.
- 50:33Speaker 6: That's got wonderful work.
- 50:36Speaker 4: So have the Wharton came out in checked over there.
- 50:42Speaker 6: Talking to the warden is like looking to them person
- 50:43Speaker 6: of how it started flying around. You got the better
- 50:45Speaker 6: answer to them than you do the war. Wow. Yeah,
- 50:51Speaker 6: there's you know, we're just trying to figure out. I'm
- 50:54Speaker 6: trying to figure it out with Darniel because like I said,
- 50:57Speaker 6: I'm going home regardless. But there's few people that are
- 51:00Speaker 6: gonna have to take the same stuff. How far would
- 51:02Speaker 6: they get? What's so what's the point.
- 51:04Speaker 4: Because when they do have the programs out out that what.
- 51:12Speaker 6: They're teaching, what they're teaching, and your pro getting it
- 51:15Speaker 6: on the outside, then you got it over.
- 51:17Speaker 5: Here, right, Because what it sounds like is they're not
- 51:20Speaker 5: doing nothing. They just letting you guys, just asking you questions.
- 51:26Speaker 6: Yeah, they get they're gonna getting money out there. They're
- 51:28Speaker 6: gonna make money in.
- 51:29Speaker 4: Here, and that's all it is is. It's just it's
- 51:33Speaker 4: just the money thing.
- 51:36Speaker 6: Yeah, Like I feel I'm going home with brother. But
- 51:40Speaker 6: there's you know, I've done the Spanish for second years.
- 51:42Speaker 6: He's got away more than I. But you know I
- 51:45Speaker 6: still got a friend of the prisoners and still going
- 51:47Speaker 6: home on p and they still want to do it outside.
- 51:49Speaker 6: Don't make why what why are you giving us these programs?
- 51:53Speaker 6: Getting here? We still gonna take them out there with.
- 51:56Speaker 4: So what do you think do you?
- 51:59Speaker 5: How how can the families get involved? You know, what
- 52:03Speaker 5: would you suggest that the family's been doing.
- 52:08Speaker 6: Let's see when I when I talked to my wife,
- 52:10Speaker 6: she calls up here and has spokes to I. Don't
- 52:12Speaker 6: I think of mister Robinson, and he's the one that
- 52:15Speaker 6: saw the world. You know, Paro's got a right us
- 52:18Speaker 6: letting us know that he don't have no time to
- 52:20Speaker 6: finish the program. My wife said, well, you're in his
- 52:23Speaker 6: pokem I'll be like here, you know all the programs.
- 52:25Speaker 6: Well why can't you do it like they telling me
- 52:27Speaker 6: to do it? And he said, oh, there's not the
- 52:29Speaker 6: kind of tide in my hands. Baro voted for him.
- 52:32Speaker 2: To stay here.
- 52:34Speaker 6: You know, when I first got here to this program,
- 52:37Speaker 6: my my wife called and try to get involved in
- 52:39Speaker 6: telling them, hey, you don't have enough time, but this
- 52:41Speaker 6: is a parole and that's that's the excuse. This is
- 52:43Speaker 6: a paroles. But they don't make contact with paroles. They don't.
- 52:47Speaker 6: They don't have nothing to do with paro. When I
- 52:50Speaker 6: wrote the parole lady here and I asked her, I said, listen,
- 52:53Speaker 6: you're telling me that I gotta stay here to complete
- 52:55Speaker 6: this program in order for me to go home. I said,
- 52:59Speaker 6: how do you think about discharge? So she wrote me
- 53:02Speaker 6: back and she told me that I have to stay
- 53:04Speaker 6: so I can't home me past my discharge date to
- 53:08Speaker 6: finish this progut successfully.
- 53:11Speaker 4: But I mean, when is your discharge date?
- 53:13Speaker 6: This charge game may made twenty second and I finished
- 53:17Speaker 6: the program made twenty fIF.
- 53:21Speaker 8: Wow.
- 53:22Speaker 6: Wow, Yeah, So it just isn't isn't money things right?
- 53:28Speaker 6: It's just like there's another unit in Henderson at the
- 53:31Speaker 6: f DC unit inside of him, and he do the
- 53:34Speaker 6: same thing you can do with everyone on that unit.
- 53:36Speaker 6: They just connect the money from TVC. I was on
- 53:38Speaker 6: that union for two months and I've seen what goes
- 53:40Speaker 6: on on the union. But it's just a monkey circle. Wow,
- 53:44Speaker 6: they're making money.
- 53:46Speaker 4: So is there any.
- 53:48Speaker 5: Nonprofits that's over there applicating on behalf of the inmate?
- 53:57Speaker 6: No, man, we don't got nothing. They got no kind
- 54:02Speaker 6: of support from the only thing we got in our
- 54:04Speaker 6: family is that they tried it. You know, they're new judicators,
- 54:09Speaker 6: so they don't even know what's going on. They don't
- 54:10Speaker 6: know who to contact. They when they contact these people,
- 54:13Speaker 6: these people throw off the left field like that. They
- 54:15Speaker 6: don't make the right contact with the right person. Wow.
- 54:19Speaker 5: Cause you know, I did try to join one of
- 54:22Speaker 5: the nonprofits over there over there.
- 54:26Speaker 4: That's a long story. I got kicked out out.
- 54:32Speaker 6: Yes, there's one that comes out on she's nonprofit too.
- 54:41Speaker 6: I don't even know. I forgot the name of it.
- 54:44Speaker 5: That's probably the one that I got kicked out of
- 54:47Speaker 5: because I wouldn't make them, I believe so I wouldn't
- 54:51Speaker 5: make them the priority and their their nonprofit is basically
- 55:00Speaker 5: lead to me, I seem like, you know, it wasn't
- 55:06Speaker 5: they wasn't applicating on behalf of the the inmates. I'm
- 55:13Speaker 5: gonna put it like that.
- 55:15Speaker 6: I appreciate everything to doing for us. Uh gonna, here's Daniel.
- 55:21Speaker 4: Okay, thank you for sharing.
- 55:29Speaker 6: Okay, mister, yes, ma'am, and that has happened.
- 55:36Speaker 4: Yes, also, okay, so we got seven minutes for now.
- 55:45Speaker 6: Okay, man, thank you. That's good. That's enough thing for
- 55:48Speaker 6: me to explain this. Okay, I have listened to the
- 55:51Speaker 6: process of what management training corporation and not the training
- 55:57Speaker 6: corporation of the body. A body is individual who'll get
- 56:01Speaker 6: that money? Okay, the State of Texas Parole Board system
- 56:05Speaker 6: and under the eleventh Amendment, which means that you cannot
- 56:08Speaker 6: sue the executive brand development, so the executive brands the
- 56:12Speaker 6: government can do whatever they choose to do without anybody
- 56:15Speaker 6: having to tell them what they can do. So now
- 56:18Speaker 6: what's going on is that now since for the matter
- 56:21Speaker 6: of years, the Texan Border Partner parolals have figured out
- 56:24Speaker 6: away with the State of Texas to get in tout
- 56:27Speaker 6: with the five Pentity and let them come in and
- 56:31Speaker 6: pay the money for inmates to be able to put
- 56:34Speaker 6: them in the Management Training Corporation programs, which is an
- 56:38Speaker 6: aaor angle management program. But we also take these same
- 56:43Speaker 6: programs already in TCP and we've got certificates for already
- 56:47Speaker 6: passing the classes of anger management in AA. But now
- 56:53Speaker 6: this has been a policy of the Parole Board on
- 56:57Speaker 6: putting us in these programs. So now with that being said,
- 57:00Speaker 6: this is like a double buildings game, right, Okay, we
- 57:04Speaker 6: we an article Carlon, we are calling on the director
- 57:07Speaker 6: of the Parole Boys to do his job. Okay, parole
- 57:10Speaker 6: matter of church have beviiion information. Okay. It said Texas
- 57:14Speaker 6: as part of the paroles is under fire. Why are
- 57:16Speaker 6: prisoners granted the FI still behind prison boss? Okay? This
- 57:21Speaker 6: article is placing tool Thespiring Office magazine, and it was
- 57:25Speaker 6: addressing the issue of why are so many inmates still
- 57:28Speaker 6: behind prison walls after being already approved for paroles? Mind yourself,
- 57:33Speaker 6: this is an FI reabilitation program, and this is over
- 57:36Speaker 6: six thousand FI six inmates that have already got the roles.
- 57:41Speaker 6: That's not counting the five nins. That's not counting the
- 57:44Speaker 6: FI three, that's not counting the FI twos and FI ones.
- 57:47Speaker 6: That's not counting the FI eighteen. So all these people
- 57:51Speaker 6: you got, thot over the thousands of people already granted
- 57:54Speaker 6: paroles and are still behind prison walls. Man, So now
- 57:59Speaker 6: this is a burden on the tax tells being forced
- 58:01Speaker 6: to put the bills of paying for up houses in
- 58:04Speaker 6: these presences. And then our conditions are so bad. We
- 58:08Speaker 6: don't have a lot of water, The water's contaminated, the
- 58:11Speaker 6: food is contaminated. We can cold pool me every day
- 58:14Speaker 6: while because we don't have hot raw. They got a
- 58:17Speaker 6: lot of base power up into the bottom of this
- 58:20Speaker 6: building right here, and now the water's coming about the floor. Man.
- 58:24Speaker 6: So here it is mister Robinson, who's over this truck. Man.
- 58:27Speaker 6: They don't even come in here. He don't even come
- 58:29Speaker 6: over here. So now here is whoever owne these program? Man,
- 58:33Speaker 6: they don't come in here to see if these people
- 58:35Speaker 6: to get in the competuite that they need to rebilitate
- 58:37Speaker 6: back into society. Man, and they're not doing it. He
- 58:40Speaker 6: needs this program assessing. But about the billion dollars.
- 58:43Speaker 4: Provement, and you know what Cornell is.
- 58:48Speaker 5: I I had to I will, I had to close
- 58:51Speaker 5: my eyes just now when you were speaking on that,
- 58:54Speaker 5: because it's a it's a shame.
- 58:56Speaker 3: It's like.
- 58:58Speaker 5: Where and do you United States and our prison systems
- 59:04Speaker 5: are little Third War countries inside of here and they're
- 59:09Speaker 5: getting all this money.
- 59:11Speaker 6: And to know that.
- 59:14Speaker 5: It's fifty eight men's in one unit with one tarlet
- 59:21Speaker 5: with one shower, with water coming up out of the
- 59:26Speaker 5: ground and no with and drinking contaminated water.
- 59:33Speaker 4: No hot water.
- 59:36Speaker 3: Came.
- 59:36Speaker 4: They not washing away the trays properly.
- 59:43Speaker 5: But everybody is everybody so concerned about what forty seven doing.
- 59:52Speaker 3: See, they done took.
- 59:55Speaker 5: The focus off the state, and they everybody looking at
- 59:59Speaker 5: what the federal is doing. And now the States is
- 1:00:04Speaker 5: over here. They've been doing it. Now the States is
- 1:00:08Speaker 5: over here. It's just running crazy. Like you got these
- 1:00:12Speaker 5: men's and women that's wrongfully and car serrated. You have
- 1:00:16Speaker 5: men and women that's been paroling still in prison. I mean,
- 1:00:23Speaker 5: come on, people, let's come together. Let's come together and
- 1:00:28Speaker 5: then for that.
- 1:00:29Speaker 4: Look, you know what, I'm not gonna mention your name,
- 1:00:32Speaker 4: but you guys is dead wrong. You guys is dead wrong.
- 1:00:37Speaker 5: You said you suppose you're gonna applicate for the men
- 1:00:42Speaker 5: and women over there in Texas.
- 1:00:44Speaker 4: That's what you say you do, but you don't.
- 1:00:49Speaker 5: You know, I know, And that's the reason why you
- 1:00:52Speaker 5: guys put me out that group, because you know I
- 1:00:55Speaker 5: know that that's what y'are not doing. You have men's
- 1:01:01Speaker 5: calling you, you have a families, their wife's calling and
- 1:01:05Speaker 5: telling you guys what's going on, and you, guys not
- 1:01:08Speaker 5: an undressing the issue. You want to sell you over
- 1:01:12Speaker 5: there selling T shirts and calendar that's.
- 1:01:14Speaker 4: What you're doing.
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: Okay man, you're not being the voice.
- 1:01:21Speaker 6: Okay, Well, I would like to thank the crew podcast
- 1:01:24Speaker 6: man first of all for all the hard work that
- 1:01:27Speaker 6: you have done, because I got a handful of particles
- 1:01:30Speaker 6: that's published in US. Fine off the NACA names, bring
- 1:01:33Speaker 6: the carbon reformers in the State of Texas and the
- 1:01:35Speaker 6: parole board.
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: Okay, you know what, Cornel, I just looked at the clock.
- 1:01:43Speaker 4: We got one.
- 1:01:44Speaker 6: Kay, okay, okay, well, ma'am, you know what. Thank you

- 1:02:05Speaker 6: stuff for themselves so they're taking those exactly that we're
- 1:02:08Speaker 6: not just making this stuff, and we need some support.
- 1:02:12Speaker 6: Some families to get involved. We need to check us
- 1:02:15Speaker 6: in the family Association and text us from the line
- 1:02:18Speaker 6: of people the stuff up and stop being a fake
- 1:02:21Speaker 6: and having these people to believe that y'all are trying
- 1:02:23Speaker 6: to get me for them and y'all are not. That's
- 1:02:25Speaker 6: what the point is. To need real support man. So
- 1:02:28Speaker 6: thank you very much man for having me on your
